This is so superior to the splitter I was using previously that had two 12V outlets dangling from a male 12V plug. Wires everywhere. It was a mess. Looking for alternatives everything seemed like it would be large and protrude into the cabin space thereby being unattractive and interfering with other necessities, like operating the shifter. This seemed like such a perfect idea! However, the "stem/plug" part is so short that if your lighter socket is recessed, it won't work at all. So it doesn't work in either my '98 Ford nor my '07 Mazda!
The Good: Strong, durable design that is clearly made to last. The inside of each socket is lit with a blue LED which can be useful at night. 15 amp support that helps you avoid overloading the device (best in its class).
The Not So Good: The blue LED on the outside of the device gets annoying after a while. No swivel option in the design of the adapter plug that would allow you to flip the female socket-end forward.
What can I say? Five stars for being simple and effective. It's also hard not to appreciate the price.
