Screen Protector - kindle 2 screen protector, kindle accessory

This product works as it is intended, fits great and unless you have three thumbs fairly easy to install. This screen protector will protect your Kindle screen from scratches and thumbs however; one of the features of the Kindle is its anti-glare screen. With this screen protector, you get the glare. I use a leather cover for my Kindle keeping the screen safe from scratches and etc. so I removed this screen protector in favor of the anti-glare screen. Gizmo Dorks Screen Protector with Carabiner Key Chain for the Amazon Kindle 3 (Latest Generation, 6" Display)

I am very disappointed with this product and only gave it one star because zero stars did not seem to be an option. The installation tabs on the screen protector did not peel off cleanly (I bought three and tried it three times), leaving a large smudge of glue/paper that made the product useless. When I contacted the seller, they sent me a link to a You Tube video on how to install a protector for an iPad. They never addressed the issue of the tabs not peeling off properly. When I pointed this out to them in a subsequent e-mail, the seller did not respond in any way. I found their customer service response to be inadequate and offensive. Given their service in this case, I will never purchase another product from Gizmo Dorks. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this product!

Got this so that I could protect my screen from finger prints and scratches. Couldn't get it to go on the kinlde without having to fight with air bubbles under it. Took it off right after I tried to put it on. Also created quite a glare.

I got this product to help protect my Kindle screen from scratches, and I'm sure it's good for that. I will never find out because I had to remove it after five minutes. It creates a glare on the screen and one of the reasons I like my Kindle so much is the anti-glare feature to the screen. So this purchase was a complete waste of money for me.

I bought two for my Kindle 3 Neither one was cut correctly they did not fit regardless of which way they were positioned there would be atleast one corner that overlapped the frame of the screen preventing the cover from sitting flush, this happened with both protectors I ordered. Even when all sides were arranged correctly one or two corners would still be over the side leaving a gap on the opposite side--I tried as well as my boyfriend we've never had a problem putting screen protectors on another product. I will not be buying another product from Gizmo Dorks.

The screen protector is too small for this model kindle! I wouldn't mind having to cut it to size but there's not much I can do with a screen protector that is too small. The price is fine but the shipping is expensive and it was a pain in the a** to apply to my kindle screen. - Kindle Accessory - Kindle - Screen Protector - Kindle 2 Screen Protector'

Mp3 Player - mp3 player, 8gb

I owned the first generation clip, and the new 8gb clip+ retains everything that was great about the first while adding all around refinements.

Pros:

- Overall build quality has improved, but especially with the clip mechanism.

- Files on MicroSD integrate seemlessly with the on board memory.

- The volume and power buttons have more ergonomic placement on the device.

- Sound quality remains great.

- Audiobook files can be sped up slightly to save some "reading" time.

- The interface is a little smoother and nicer to move through.

- The square trackpad makes it easier to navigate without looking at the player. (good for runners)

Cons:

- No cap on the MicroSD slot, so that could potentially get dirty.

If you don't need gimmicks such as touch screens and web browsers, then this player is quite possibly the best on the market for value, size, and quality. The Clip+ is definitely worth the few extra bucks over what the first gen clip is selling for now.

UPDATE: Having used the product for a while the one thing I'm disappointed with is battery life. The meter drains down to 50% at the expected pace, and then goes from 50% to 0 quite fast. I haven't timed it but i'm sure the battery life (using all default settings) is quite less than the advertised 14-15 hours. SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 8 GB MP3 Player (Black)

If all you are looking for is a great sounding, small, cheap mp3 player with a display and expandability options, then the clip + is your best choice. This is very similar to the old clip with the following major differences:

- two minor button placement changes (improvement)

- UI is a bit smoother (menus scroll now)

- volume normalizing/gain

- micro-SD slot for up to 16 added gigs (which is huge)

- a little thicker, probably due to SD support

- clip is no longer removable (depending on your preference, this is a good or bad thing-guess you could just rip it off and file it down if you wanted to)

As always, it sounds great and blows away the iPod Shuffle in terms of value. So light and small--great for the gym. If you need your mp3 player to play games, surf the internet or serve double purpose as a grocery list, then this isn't for you, but if you're on a budget or just need something that plays music and does so well, this is the one.

So recently, because I love my Sansa Clip so much for exercising, and I thought I could use one more, I picked one of these up at Bestbuy. I have used it for about a week so I can't say anything about the longetivity of the new Clip Plus, but I can tell you about everything else. First I will give you the cons since there is only one and that is also only about preference. I personally LOVED the sleek look of the original sansa clip, but that has been replaced with a sort of glittery finish on the front. That is about it and to add to this, everything else from the outside such as the plastic used has been revamped to feel better in your hands and is just overall better quality. Now on to the most important part, the features. The main thing that sets this apart from the original clip is the addition of a microSD card slot. This can take up to a 32gb microSD card, so if you were to pair one with this, you could potentially get a 36(!)gb memory for this puny little item. That is the next thing I will get into, the size. If you haven't ever heard about the original sansa clip, basically, Sandisk designed this line of Sansa for portability and mainly for exercise. It feels really good in the hand and the non removable clip on the back can clip on to virtually anything. Next is the display. The menu remains much of the same, but Sansa also added slotRadio compatibility and a nicer flow to menu if you're into that. Finally we'll go to the placement of the buttons. On the old sansa clip, there was a button the side for power and hold, but a lot of clip owners including me found that uncomfortable. To cope with this, Sandisk put the power button on the top and put the hold funtion to holding the home button for about 3 seconds. So overall, this is a fantastic MP3 player in any category, but if you are in the market for one for the gym, pass up the Ipod Shuffle for 79$ with no screen and counter-intuitiveness(in my opinion) and get this really nice compact MP3 player for only 50$ for the 4gb, 40$ for the 2gb and 70$ for the 8gb. Thank you and I hope this review helps.

This is my second Sandisk Sansa. I had an 8gb Fuze, which my wife is now using because she wanted the video capability, and I never used it. This 8gb Clip is just awesome. I love the Sandisk line anyway, and this is an upgrade (imo) from the one I was using, which I also love. This thing is tiny, has expandable memory, FM and several features to fine tune your music delivery, as well as some basic EQ features. Downloading music from Windows media player is as simple as it gets, as well as being able to use MAC OS (although for me, not as easy).

All in all, this little player has just enough features to make it easy for everyone, and also enough to keep most experienced users happy as well. While I have not had a chance to really stretch the battery life, my other one lasted waaay longer than I ever needed it to, and I suspect this one will do just as well. The charging cord (also used to download music) is very short (very very short). At first I was wondering how I would like that. I now actually prefer it to longer cords. Much easier to distinguish from all of the others. :)

Update: Well, sadly, the "clip" on my new player has broken. I've only used the actual clip one time, and the little hinge broke (not all the way off, but it can no longer be clipped on). I had no plans to use the clip (I just drop the player in my pocket most of the time), but was a little surprised at this. The battery is great, the player still functions great, but this clip seems a little weak. I'd still recommend the Clip+, but be very careful with clipping it to your clothing. Not sure it can handle it.

12/23/09 Update. I have used this player everyday since owning it. I have never overcharged it, and always use it on the most "power friendly" settings. Sadly, the battery life is far below Sansa standards, and frankly well below the claimed battery life. I should not compare it with my Sansa Fuze 8 gb, but that little player (awesme) will outlast the clip by 4 times over on battery life. I am saddened that I will not be able to use it for my intended purpose (long motorcycle rides), so it will just be my "workout" player. I will use my other player for the motorcycle. Oh well, can't win them all. - Sandisk - 8gb - Sansa Clip - Mp3 Player'

Dvd Case - portable dvd case, portable dvd player

The case is small, if you only want to put the dvd player in it then this will work for you. It will protect the player from hard knoxs. But it will not be big enough for the earphones and cords. I also did not receive the color I ordered.

I had to go and buy another case big enough to hold the dvd player, ear phones and cords. They are using this case to hold the dvds. Sony DVP-FX730 7-Inch Portable DVD Player Kroo 11273 Cube Case (Pink) + Includes a Determination Hand Strap

I was supposed to be getting a red DVD case and a black one showed up. As it was part of an xmas gift and received it the day before xmas, i didn't have time to deal with an exchange. The case itself is not well designed as there is not much room in it and no place for DVD's.

I got this for my 4 yr old grand daughter for Christmas to carry the portable DVD player we also got her. It is durable and easy for her to open & close. She loves being able to be in charge of her own things and it is great protection for the DVD player as well. As ALWAYS I find the best prices & products on Amazon! Thank you SO MUCH Amazon for making shopping a breeze!!

This is great case! Our DVD player is a 7 inch but I bought the 10 inch case hoping to have space for all the accessories. It is perfect! It holds the regular AC adapter, the car charger and the ear buds. I'm very pleased! - Portable Dvd Player - Portable Dvd Player Case - Portable Dvd Case - Case'

Ball Stabilizer - ball chair, balance ball

I ordered this thinking that it could possibly adjust to height differences, or that it would be tall enough for me to sit on comfortably. It is very short and there is no way to adjust it. I do like sitting on it but it puts me low to the ground which I do not like. It would not be compatible with most desks unless you have a tray that can move up and down for your keyboard. DynaFlex BC0320 Ball Chair with Base

I bought this since my husband and I were looking for ways to improve core strength. It has proved to be a good addition to our exercise and stretching/yoga programs. Since you spend so much time on the computer, you might as well use a chair that helps you improve your posture and strength, while preventing you from slouching.

The ball chair arrived with no instructions and missing the thin metal bar that is supposed to help keep the ball in position, but I've found it isn't necessary. The ball also needs a little inflating every couple of weeks, but again, no big deal. It's a great affordable substitute for similar chairs, such as the Evolution Chair, which retails for twice the price. I recommend using it for a short time, maybe 30 minutes daily, then gradually working up to all-day use over a 2-3 week period so your back doesn't get tired and you gradually build up core strength. All in all, a great item!

I bought this as a replacement for my desk chair. Since I am at my desk and computer so much, I figured that I should make sure that I got something that would help my posture as well as finding a place for my tush. Now that I have had it for a month, I've no real complaints. Since I'm 6'3", I was concerned that the base and ball would make me too high for my desk, but the 55" ball that came with it is just right for my height. The base is not adjustable up or down, by the way. Perhaps I didn't read the description correctly, but I wasn't aware that it came with a ball, so wasted some money buying an extra one. The only other "ding" on the product is that it is priced high for what you get (a plastic mold with wheels). However, it is cheaper and better for you than a regular chair, so no real complaints. Thumbs up!

I was having a lot of lower back problems due to sitting in a chair all day at work. While getting up and moving around more often is important, it is hard to do when you have more work than you can keep up with. This balance ball chair makes a world of a difference by helping to keep my core in motion even while I'm sitting. I originally tried a regular balance ball, but it was difficult to use without the wheels. This chair is the best of both worlds, giving the added motion of a balance ball, and the mobility of a chair with wheels. It didn't come with the bar that is shown in the photo to hold the ball in place, but it isn't required since the ball stays put in the holder without it. Some reviewers complained about the height of the chair, but as it is a balance ball, the height is easily adjustable by adding or releasing air. I am 5'4", and was able to fill it to a perfect height for my body and desk.

I would've rated this chair 5 stars, but I'm very annoyed by the locks on the wheels. I've never had a chair with locking wheels, so I don't know why they felt they were needed on this one. I accidentally close the locks with my legs several times a day, and have to keep unlocking them because of it. If it wasn't for these locks, it would be the perfect office chair.

The DynaFlex ball chair with base has been wonderful for me! I am at my desk for most of the day in front of a computer, this makes me more conscious of my posture as well as gives me an opportunity to do "mini" exercises off to the side on my break. I suggest this to anyone who has a "desk job"!

No problem with the base. The ball is far too small and I am on the short side. So now what?? My co-worker got a Gaiam product it was perfect. I looked to see a size in the description but assumed they would send the appropriate size so I spent 60+ dollars and the product is of no use. I will have to return. Very disappointed.

The chair came the first time with no plug to hold the air in. I returned it for an exchange. The second chair came with a plug and i was able fill the ball with air and inserted the plug. However, the chair is to short to work at a standard height desk. Also, it came with no instructions. I do not recommend this chair to anyone.

The negatives about this ball were that if you're tall it isn't good for you. Well, short people unite! I am petite and I LOVE THIS BALL CHAIR.

I will say if you're over 5'7" I would look in to a larger ball chair option. But, if you're small this is a great option!! - Ball Chair - Back Relief - Office Chair - Balance Ball'

Keyless Deadbolt - schlage, dead bolts

For years we have been using a key pad activated deadbolt for front doors in our various homes - no keys to lose or give to various family members - only four digit codes. Up until now, all of the key pad units we have installed, extend and retract the deadbolt using a small battery powered electric motor.

This issue we've encountered is when the batteries become weak, the motor (in some cases) does not have enough power to retract the bolt and we must revert to another entrance to get into our home. Although these unit allow one to use a key to override the electronics, we never seem to have the key "on us" when it's needed. Fortunately we have a keypad on our garage door and that serves as an alternative entrance when this occurs. These deadbolt retraction failures have been occurring more and more often even with fresh batteries. I suspect the motor is or has worn out.

With this in mind, I shopped the market for an electronically activated dead bolt with manual bolt action. In other words, instead of a motor extending and retracting the deadbolt, one would use a lever or knob to perform this function. The keypad (electronic segment of the unit) would serve to activate the manual knob or lever. I found the Schlage BE365VCAM619 Camelot Deadbolt Keypad, Satin Nickel on Amazon at an extremely reasonable price and it has all of the features I wanted - electronic key pad activation, manual extension and retraction of the deadbolt upon activation.

The unit arrived yesterday and after a few problems with the unit being confused as to whether the bolt was retracted or extended (my fault), the unit works perfectly. Note, I already had a deadbolt lockset on the door, so it was a simple process of removing the old, and installing the new.

It's an extremely high quality unit without the cheap plastic casing my prior unit had on the inside casing. It's all metal. Changing or adding key pad codes (combinations) is relatively easy. One must enter the units six digit master code (don't lose this code, keep it in a place that you can go to each time you wish to change the codes - Using a permanent marker, I wrote it on the inside of the lock), and then enter your personal four digit code. We use two codes however the unit can store many codes. You may want to add a temporary code to let a service technician into your home, then delete that code when the work is completed.

One feature I like is the lighted key pad which our old unit did not have. If we forget to turn on the porch light, by simply pressing the "schlage" button at the top of the keypad, the keys light up.

Here's the basic operation.

When you're leaving the house, close the door, press the "schlage" button, wait for the click, then extend the deadbolt. You'll hear a confirmation click confirming that the locking knob/lever has been disengaged from the deadbolt after the deadbolt has been extended.

When you arrive home, simply enter your four digit code, you'll hear a click, then manually retract the deadbolt and enter the home. I you wish to use the keypad light; simply press the "schlage" button to light it up. Obviously this is not needed during daylight hours.

Basically the nine volt battery is operating the keypad, a knob/level engagement solenoid and the keypad back light and should last for hundreds and hundreds cycles.

Bottom Line - I highly recommend this high quality unit. Schlage BE365VCAM716 Camelot Keypad Deadbolt, Aged Bronze

I have had the brass version of this deadbolt for bout a year and I love it. It is th best one that I have come across (and yes - the most expensive - but you get what you pay for). It is eye-catching rather than an eye-sore. Be careful, some of the cheaper competitor's models have a plastic back that is very unappealing for a main door. The unit is smaller than many by requiring only a 9 volt battery because it does not lock/unlock the deadbolt for you. You do it manually.

Pros:

1) Appealing design (front and back - no plastic)

2) Smaller than most (due to use of 9v battery)

3) Keypad lights up when you touch it for nighttime entry

4) Never get locked out. Give the neighbor a temporary code to get in.

Cons:

1) Pricey ut you get what you pay for

I installed one of these for a client and it seems to be a good product as all the reviewers say. What no one has talked about however is the standard Shlage key that can also be used to open the lock. It seems to me that this would allow the possibility of using a "bump key" to open it. One of the benefits of digital locks is their immunity to bumping. If you want the keypad just for convenience, that is fine. Just remember that any lock that can be "bumped" provides zero security.

We were consistently running into problems with the number of house keys we had given out to: contractors, landscapers and house cleaners. At some point there's no way to track who's coming and going into your house and whether or not they left the keys.

This little gadget eliminates the issue. I can now program the lock with one-time or multiple use codes unique to each individual coming to my house. It installs as easy as any other deadbolt and programming new codes takes about 10 seconds. This has quickly become my favorite new gadget.

I purchased the Schlage electronic deadbolt to allow entry into our house in case I didn't have a key with me. It works very well. Only drawback that I see is that it needs to be placed on a solid door without a glass panel as the lock has a lever on the inside that operates the deadbolt. There is no option for key locking from the inside, only the lever. Locks only keep honest people out, so it's better to have a deadbolt that is key lockable from both sides if you have an exterior door with glass panels. No need making it easier for a thief to get in than is necessary. - Dead Bolts - Keyless Deadbolt - Schlage - Keyless'

G E Ballast 72110 Fluorescent Ballast - light ballast, fluorescent ballast replacement

This ballast appears to be a good quality product. I expect many years of service from it. It installed very easily although it was a different length than my original ballast. Most fluorescent lighting fixtures allow for easy ballast replacement with one stationary (set) hold-down clip and variable screw holes to match the various ballasts that may be used. One thing I was a little disappointed about is the "rapid" start is not immediate but still within a second to light.

I chose a T12 ballast because I still have many F40 fluorescent bulbs but...I recommend changing to the newer T8 standard. So, if you need to change your ballast, you can convert to the more efficient T8 ballast and get new bulbs to match. One more bit of information is the T8 bulb is thinner and more fragile. This shouldn't be a problem for most applications. GE 97499 GE240RS120-DIY LFL ProLine Electronic Program / Rapid Start Ballast for 2 - F40 or F34T12

The previous owner had installed inexpensive garage lights which have always flickered and seemed like they were barely able to come on. They also buzzed loudly and seemed to go through bulbs faster than usual. When one of them finally went out completely I took it apart expecting to find "normal" ballast to replace and instead it had these tiny transformers at each end and capacitors (wired in). So I ripped out all that and replaced it with this one ballast and it works great! It comes on instantly, make no noise at all and the same bulbs are brighter in this fixture than the others. There was no room to mount the ballast inside but since the fixtures hang by a chain there is room to mount it on top - not exactly UL approved perhaps but many time cheaper than buying a new fixture of this quality. - Fluorescent Ballast Replacement - Light Ballast - Lighting Accessories'

Remote Control - remote control, canon

This item could be better. its cool that i can take pictures without touching the camera. but it is very slow and has a very short range which seems alot shorter than advertised. its a cool product but it takes too long to snap a picture for my taste and it doesnt always work. you also have to be pointing the remote right at the camera so say you wanted to take a picture with your friend, in the picture you will see you pointing at the camera Wireless Remote Control for Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, XTi, XSi, T1i, T2i, 7D & 5D Mark II Digital SLR Cameras (Canon RC-1 Or RC-5 Replacement) PLUS OUR EXCLUSIVELY DESIGNED BLUE BENDY FLEXPOD

Got this for a T2i. Gets the job done...it doesn't have a two-step button like on wired remotes so as soon as you hit the button it focuses and fires. Works great for group shots that the shooter wants to be in! I did notice that it only works if you point it at the front of the camera, and it's a little slow to function (could be the battery running low). But for about ten bucks it does a good job.

took about four days for them to ship, once shipped, arrived the next day :) the remote doesn't work from the sides and definitely doesn't do "16 feet" but works well. how do i get it to instantly take a picture? (sometimes it's slow and i know it's not the timer)

I looked at other reviews for a simple remote to use on my Canon EOS 5D Mark II. I finally settled on this one and I'm glad I did. This little remote works like a charm. Easy to use, just set the camera to remote/timer, point at the front of the camera, and push the button. Can't beat its price and simplicity.

I purchased this remote specifically for my husband's Cannon. I was sent something different that doesn't work very well. It works, but does not have a delay. If I had been sent the correct item, I might be able to properly review the product. - Canon - Camera Remote - Remote Control - Canon Remote'

Camcorder Case - camera case, case logic

Finding a case for the Panasonic DMC-G1 is next to impossible. I ordered two other cases from on-line vendors and neither was able to hold this camera, i.e. case was too small. I think most vendors think the Panasonic G1 (124x84x45mm) is the same size as the GF1 (119x71x36.3mm). This case is able to hold the camera with a 14-45mm lens. A little room remains in the main compartment to allow the Panasonic 45-200mm lens to fit while attached to the camera. The case is not large enough to store a second lens, unless the lens attached to the camera body is a 20mm pancake lens. The camera rests in the main compartment with the camera on its side, pointing left-right. Sewn into the main compartment is a padded divider, that could be used to create a section to store a second lens, assuming a 20mm lens is attached to the camera. The two side, zippered compartments are large enough for small accessories such as spare battery, memory cards, lens cloths, etc. In addition, there is a zippered compartment on the inside of the main compartment lid. Case Logic provides a shoulder strap.

This is not my preferred case type, but it does provide inexpensive protection for my camera. I like cases that allow the camera weight to be carried by the camera's strap, i.e the camera strap extends through the case. Due to fact that the camera is now discontinued, the manufacturer's case (DMW-PGS18XEK)for this camera appears to be available only from Great Britain. I received one quote for overseas purchase and shipping for [...], or [...] based on today's exchange rate. Case Logic DCB-305 Camcorder Kit Bag (Black)

If your looking at this for a superzoom camera with few accessories it is perfect. My Panasonic FZ100 fits in nice and snug, and also fits extra battery, cables, lenses, memory cards etc.

However it is a lot smaller than that it looks in the picture. I can't fit everything in there, I have to choose between cables or charger. But not really an issue because I'm taking it travelling and will have my backpack with me to carry the extras.

If you want to carry everything i.e. macro/tele lens, plus charger and cables you will want something bigger.

Hope this helps

Happy snapping :)

This is really great. I bought if for use with my sony nex-3, rather than for a video camera. It fits the camera well, as well as my ipod and an extra lens. However, now that I have three lenses, there is not enough room to put in all my lenses and my camera body, so I will have to upgrade to a larger bag. I you have a camera and two lenses though, this is a great bag. Plus, the side pockets are great for storing extra caps and such. - Camcorder Case - Case Logic - Camcorder Bag - Camera Case'

Murder Mystery - murder mystery, jake gyllenhaal

After the technically accomplished but ultimately hollow thriller Panic Room (3-Disc Special Edition), director David Fincher returns to familiar subject matter with Zodiac, a dramatization of the murders perpetuated by the infamous serial killer known as Zodiac that terrorized the San Francisco Bay area in the late 1960s and early 1970s. With Seven (New Line Platinum Series), Fincher seems like an obvious choice to direct this film but those of you expecting a rehash of that film will be disappointed. With Zodiac, he faces the daunting challenge of making an exciting thriller that runs two hours and forty minutes long where the killer was never caught. He does this by focusing on the people who investigated the case and how it affected them.

This is a film that shows people talking and doing research - hardly, dynamic, cinematic material but Fincher makes it fascinating with strong performances from his talented cast and a solid screenplay to anchor the film. Like Michael Mann's equally obsessive serial killer movie, Manhunter (Restored Director's Cut Divimax Edition), Fincher spends a lot of his movie showing offices buzzing with activity as the case heats up and we see people hard at work as the police, FBI, the Chronicle and even the CIA all try to decipher the Zodiac's code and solve the case. He also show the minutia of their methods while also reminding us of the limits of technology at the time (no personal computers, no internet, no DNA testing, etc.). These people faced a monumental task of sifting through hundreds of false leads and crank calls from the substantial information that might actually further the case.

Zodiac presents a wealth of information and invites you to sift through it like the three protagonists. In fact, there is so much to absorb that repeated viewings will undoubtedly reveal more details that might not have been caught upon an initial viewing. The film's long running time allows you to gradually immerse yourself in the film and the story it tells. However, it never feels too long because Fincher maintains a brisk, efficient pace cramming as much detail and information as he can into every scene. The killer is a fascinating enigma and his encrypted letters, his blatant taunting of the police, and the discrepancies between murders only it makes it more interesting. It is easy to see why people became obsessed with this case. Ultimately, the Zodiac case doesn't just leave a trail of actual bodies but also collateral damage in the form of failed marriages, ended partnerships and substance abuse. And this is just the people who investigated the case. The toll taken on the victims who survived, their families and those of the people who were killed is inconceivable. A whole other movie could be made about them. Fincher has made a smart, engaging thriller that suggests a new direction for the filmmaker, one that places an emphasis on character and story instead of atmosphere and set design.

Last year, Paramount released an obligatory bare bones DVD and in the meantime, Fincher and DVD producer extraordinaire, David Prior have assembled an in-depth two-disc special edition that covers all aspects of the production. The director has also added five minutes back into the film that improves on an already great motion picture.

The first disc features an audio commentary by director David Fincher. He touches upon the "oddly personal" period details as much of the film takes place during his childhood and around areas he lived. This also informed the period songs he picked for the film. This is the kind of engaging, informative track we've come to expect from Fincher.

Even better is the second commentary by actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr., producer Brad Fischer, screenwriter James Vanderbilt, and crime novelist James Ellroy. Fischer and Vanderbilt talk about how closely they stuck to the actual facts of the case and delve into its details. Ellroy, a self-proclaimed fan of the film, does his entertaining Demon Dog of crime fiction persona that fans of his love while also talking about the film's place in crime fiction. Downey and Gyllenhaal provide all kinds of anecdotal information with Downey displaying his trademark dry sense of humour.

The second disc is broken up into two sections: extras dealing with the film and ones dealing with the actual Zodiac murders. "Zodiac Deciphered" is an hour-long documentary on the making of the film. Producer Brad Fischer and screenwriter James Vanderbilt talk about the origins of the project. We see how each of the film's key locations were faithfully recreated, often shooting at the place where one of the murders took place. Period costumes were authentically recreated from police reports and evidence photographs. When actual locations could not be used, the San Francisco Chronicle offices, they were built from scratch on a soundstage. Fincher nailed the newspaper office down to the tiniest details like vintage rotary phones, typewriters, etc. There is plenty of on-the-set footage that shows Footage and co. at work.

"The Visual Effects of Zodiac" takes a look at how CGI was used not only to recreate certain period details of San Francisco but also the blood in the murder scenes. We see before and after comparison shots and it is incredible how seamlessly the effects are integrated into the film.

The "Previsualization" for three scenes compares the computer animated storyboards with the final product in the film.

Also included is a theatrical trailer.

"This is the Zodiac Speaking" is a four-part documentary on the actual Zodiac murders, featuring interviews with original investigators and the surviving victims. These featurettes present the facts of each murder along with crime scene photographs and vintage TV news footage, taking us through each one in detail.

Finally, there is "His Name was Arthur Leigh Allen." Police investigators and people that knew him talk about the prime suspect in the Zodiac murders. Friends recount chilling anecdotes about the man and investigators provide their own accounts to paint a disturbing portrait. Gaming Keyboard - usb keyboard, led keyboard

This is a compact keyboard and the key layout is very poor. The keys themselves do not press down well. If you press one key then the key next to it, it gets caught and doesnt depress at times causing typos. The home key next to a half sized backspace key is a total nuiscance. When you think you backspaced you actually hit the home key sending your cursor to the beginning of the line. The company I bought this from was excellent, very responsive to me emails. I would definately do business with them again, just not on this product. Lighted USB Keyboard - Gentle crisp clear BLUE LED light illuminates each key yet stress free to your eyes - Full size Multimedia functions, One-touch internet access

I run a lot of things that just require occasional atention in an often dimly lit room and the sfot blue glow from this keyboard is just what the Doctor ordered. It's even visible in a fully lit room but totally unobtrusive at night beacause the viewing angle is set up perfectly for when you're typing, if you're off to the side you can just notice that it's lit.

The color tone is the perfect wavelength, not the harsh blue that most blue LEDs give off - it's actually very pleasing to the eyes. Just one example of what rarely happens thee days - the engineers were really thinking about the customer when they designed it.

Tocuh/feel and overall height of the keys is very good, the only complaint I have goes towards all the newer keyboards no matter who makes them - I liked it when they had a big backspace key I could easily wham at as I make a lot of mistakes when I try to type in a hurry. No matter, a little program available for free "on the net" called "Sharp Keys" allows you remap keys in seconds, I usually completely turn off the cAPS lOCK key as well as the Insert and Delete keys I just don't use - they're left over frokm the DOS and terminal days.

I rated it four stars because I do like the keyboard quite a bit. It's very good looking and feels pretty nice too. With that said, it isn't exactly what I expected. Bear in mind, though, that I wasn't sure exactly what to expect.

I have zero idea what the company means by "Silica gel using the whole technology" (from package) and "Whole silica gel technology" (online). Silica gel is the stuff in the little desiccant packets, shipped with various items, to keep humidity down. I thought the company might have mistranslated "silicone" but that wasn't the case. I wrongly expected the keys to have a smooth rubber-like feel and be really quiet, but I can't tell any real difference between it and a standard keyboard. It isn't very quiet (at least how I type) and the keys have a normal, mostly smooth, hard plastic feel. You can decide whether that's a plus or minus. Since I like the keyboard, I don't really mind. It's at least as comfortable as most OEM keyboards and, even though it's very light-weight, it feels like decent quality to me.

The blue LED back-lighting is very nice. It doesn't seem too bright, but it's visible in a fully lit room. After using it at night, I'll know more, but I think it's going to be nearly perfect.

Overall, I think it's a great keyboard. Just go in expecting a decent keyboard with good-looking lighting (that you can turn on and off) and you'll probably be satisfied. It's the only illuminated keyboard I've found at this price level and, as long as it lasts well, I'll be glad I made the purchase. The motto on the packaging is "Let's make things more perfect!". I wouldn't say it's perfect, but, for the money, it's fairly close.

No more squinting at the board in my poorly lit room! Easily seen in daytime, too.Took a day or two to get used to new size but I do the two-finger kind of typing, so no big deal.I can use a lighter touch on this,as opposed to my old one where you had to hammer the keys.I really like this board & the price is good - get it now!

I have had this item for several months now. It is THE BEST keyboard I have ever owned. I really like the way the keyboad is illuminated. Best investment in keyboards around Haven't had a single problem with it.

Overall, was exactly what I wanted. The ability to type in complete darkness. Only problem is a few of the keys you normally use often are smaller than on most keyboards. Takes a few days to get used to but after that it works great! Highly recommended for gamers! I play starcraft 2 with this daily!

Brought this for my mom Because she does a lot of late night working on the pc, and its annoying trying to watch TV with the lights on led's light up the keyboard great easy to see, only problem i have is the keyboard lay out. they took all the keys around the home button made smaller and jammed em in to a single row and made the delete key small also. other than that. it functions as a keyboard should.

I plugged it in and it lights up just the way I want it to. Then.....nothing. Windows 7 gave me the we dunno when it looked for a driver for this POS. If someone can aim at a driver for this keyboard I'll probably jump for joy and reverse this stinko review. The AVG Gear website doesn't even list this model (W9868). Had to plug my trusty unlighted keyboard to write this. Oh well.

The keyboard looks great and works fine for me. I don't really mind the little change in the layout, especially with the back space. The light was very very nice and fit the decor really well. I wish I would have purchased this one for my home instead of the expensive logitech one. I got this one for work and it seems fine so far. - Led Keyboard - Usb Keyboard - Back Lit - Illuminated Keyboard'

Iphone Charger - charger, chargers

This item includes a wall plug adapter, a cigarette lighter adapter, and a sync/charging cable that works with various Apple devices (such as the iPad, iPhone, and most iPod models). The advantage to this particular set is that the charging port puts out 2.1 amps, which means that it is designed to charge the iPad at the same rate as the adapter that is packaged with the iPad. Some reviewers on Amazon and elsewhere have reported that it actually charges the iPad slightly faster than the original adapter, and I confirmed with my Kill-a-Watt that the Griffin actually draws about 10% more power from the wall than the stock adapter (see details below). I do not have the tools to accurately check the current draw from the cigarette adapter, but I wouldn't be surprised if it also charges an iPad more quickly.

STOCK iPad ADAPTER:

When first plugged in: 11W

After a few seconds: 10W

Above 80% charge: 9W

GRIFFIN POWERBLOCK WALL CHARGER:

When first plugged in: 12W

After a few seconds: 11W

Above 80% charge: 10W

The cable packaged with the Griffin chargers works not only as a charging cable, but as a sync cable as well; i.e. you can use it to connect your Apple device and your computer to sync data between them. If you have an iPad, it WILL charge as well--although the iPad screen will probably say "Not charging" and the charge rate will be much slower (.5A from most USB ports, compared to 2.1A from the wall or cigarette lighter).

The Griffin chargers are light but seem well built. The wall charger, although longer than the stock iPad charger, is only slightly thicker but not as wide (see my customer image), and it also has a folding plug. So it has a nice form factor that is just as convenient for travel as the original adapter.

This set is also available at the Apple store, so obviously Apple endorses this set of Griffin chargers for their own products. However, it is considerably cheaper here on Amazon. Griffin Technology PowerDuo 2 amp Power Charger for iPad, iPhone and iPod (Black)

I have tried several of the USB wall chargers and none have been able to charge my Kindle 2. This one has charged everything I have tried it with. I really like the folding prongs on the wall charger, makes it easier to pack. I also like that this package gives you the ability to charge both in your hotel and in your car, all with the same USB cables.

I travel with a Kindle 2, a Blackberry, and a Ipod Touch. It works with them all. Additionally, one of my friends has the Ipad and I confirmed it does charge the Ipad in a reasonable time frame.

The light is not annoyingly bright like some other USB chargers, but easy to see.

My only wish is that the wall charger had multiple USB ports, but not dividing the current may be why it charges the Kindle.

Finding a decent charger for Apple's newest products is not as simple as you think. All of the products above require newer more powerful chargers and most older ones will not work at all. In addition, the cheap newer copies are hit or miss and you really can mess up your i-product. This Griffin charger works great and charges quickly with no annoying messages popping up on your device. The company is very respectable. The conversion from wall to car is handy for traveling and the cord is long but not too long. . Highly recommended.

I've gone through about half a dozen chargers for my various iDevices, and this one is the best by far.

* Charges very quickly compared to other chargers

* Works consistently with iPad and iPhone (no compatibility errors)

* Solid quality materials (superior to Apple's which I found to be quite prone to having a frayed/separated connector)

I will never again buy a cheapo charger. The quality in this one is well worth it. Highly recommended.

The product works well in the United States. The transformer specs state 100V to 220V input range. However, when it was used in Japan, where the power outlet voltage is 100V, it discharged my 4th generation iPod Touch. Fortunately, my friend had a charger made by apple; it was able to charge my iPod Touch in Japan.

Just got the product, Griffin Technology PowerDuo 2 amp Power Charge. I bought it based on the specification which states that

(1) it accepts 110-240 volt AC input:

(2) DC output is 5v 2.1A.

(3) cable length is 3.5'

The former enables me to use it in other countries such as japan, korea, and european countries. The second spec ensures that ipad, ipod touch, iphone will be charged with no problem and fast -- 2.1A is enough. The cable length is long enough as well, over 3' (3.5').

I did not test every aspect of the product yet. But, considering the price, it is good enough, if it works well according to its spec. I am happy with the product. - Ipad - Griffin - Charger - Chargers'

Macbook 13 Inch Sleeve - laptop sleeve, neoprene sleeve

I bought this because I wanted a protective, stretchy, neoprene sleeve for my 15" MacBook Pro, but I also wanted a case that could hold my charger, flashdrives, and other accessories. This seemed like the PERFECT combination of the two, so I gave it a shot and ordered it. I got it quickly, and it hasn't let me down yet.

It's got a very soft, protecting lining in the interior so it won't scratch your computer. I carry around my laptop with a cooling pad shoved in on top of the laptop (there was a little extra room as this can fit 16" screens too) and the case stretches to conform to it. The outside zipper pocket is extremely helpful, I'm so glad I found this case, and It is very stretchy as well. It will conform to any shape of accessories you put in it without permanently stretching it out, it will always return to its original shape and size. My minimum that I have in the outside pocket is my laptop charger, it's extension cord, my wireless mouse, and a flashdrive that fits very handily in the stretchy flashdrive pocket sewn into the inside. I have fit more into the pocket tho, but that is the minimum that is always with me in the case.

It is also very slim-line, and fits wonderfully in my messenger bag and backpack without taking up any unnecessary room like some cases.

I bought it because I wanted a slim sleeve without giving up convenience to carry my accessories and it delivers very well for what it's supposed to do. The only possible way this could get better would be to come in different colors. =] I definitely recommend it. Caselogic PAS-213 13-Inch Macbook Neoprene Sleeve (Black)

A year ago my boyfriend got the Caselogic PAS-13 neoprene sleeve for his 13" Macbook Pro and it was awesome. The fit was perfect, it didn't scratch the laptop's corners, the bag was well-constructed and high quality, and the price was right. So when I finally upgraded my old Dell to a brand new 13" Macbook Pro, I went for the same case. The only problem: Caselogic stopped making the PAS-13 and has replaced it with this case, the PAS-213. Same difference, right? Wrong. I was seriously disappointed with this case. First, the case does not fit the 13" Macbook Pro well at all--it is too big, and the dimensions are wrong for this laptop. The case is a very loose fit on my 13" Macbook Pro, despite claiming to be made for it (believe me, it is not). Second, perhaps because the fit is not good, the zipper on the case is scratching the corners of my new Macbook Pro. Third, the construction is not as high quality; some of the stitches are already coming out after only a couple months of use.

Sadly, Caselogic has replaced what used to be a wonderful product (the PAS-13) which was well-made and fit the 13" Macbook Pro like a glove with the PAS-213, which is a far inferior product. Don't say I didn't warn you!

This fits my Macbook Pro great. Some seem to complain that the zipper will scratch the computer but I don't have that problem. Maybe that could be the case with older models, but this sleeve fits my Spring 2010 13" Macbook Pro perfect. About 1/4" extra space between the computer and the zipper. The small pocket on the front is great for a small portable hard drive or power cord.

I purchased this case for my 17" Macbook Pro (newest model release as of March 17th, 2011). Depending on your preference as to how snug you want your case to fit, I would say that it is a good fit. Not as snug as the Incase, but my MB is not really wiggling around in the case. The padded inseam does a good job of protecting the edges of my MB and the inside is lined with a microfiber material (I think--either way, it is not neoprene and slides nicely). The outside pocket is definitely useful, including the room enough for my charger, external mouse, and a handy little pocket for a thumb-drive. Considering it is less than half of the cost of the Incase (the new "deluxe" case with the pocket), it is well worth the money to protect something you spend so much money on.

It looks nice, it fits my Macbook Pro 15" very nicely, and I'm a fan of the extra pocket to hold my flash drive, external hard drive, and cord. And the price is way better than anywhere else!

Updated 1/2011: I've had this case for a while now, and I've traveled with it a few times. It is still in perfect condition. It's durable and very convenient.

This case was made for older model MacBookPros - I have the newest model (2011) and there is some room to spare around the case. This isn't a big deal, but I had a Tucano case before for my 13" MBP and it fit perfect. Just feels better when it is all nice and snug.

There is ample protection because it is a rather thick case.

The accessories pouch is nice, but not really that useful as if you are using a sleeve, you are probably putting your computer in another bag.

If I had more money I would buy the Tucano. But this case is decent for the price. - Laptop Sleeve - Neoprene Sleeve - Macbook Sleeve - Laptop Case'

Hdmi Wall Plate - electrical, wall mount

I wanted to run my home theater cabling inside the walls and over the ceiling, which required some type of finished terminals for the speaker ends. This bracket was ideal to cut into the various locations in the ceiling and walls, then add a single gang plate for the jacks, thus allowing me with a short run from the speakers using banana plugs. There isn't much need for a single gang box since the entire installation is low voltage. Anyone possessing rudimentary carpentry skills should be able to do the job fairly readily. I recommend that you cut the holes just a little undersized, then trim to fit taking care to ensure that the tops and bottoms are parallel and square with the two sides of each bracket. It helps to be certain that the holes are well marked before making the cuts with a good drywall saw so as to avoid oddly shaped holes and out of plumb work. Of course, you can patch it up afterward, however that takes time. I might mention that I looked at mounting brackets at my local hardware/lumber mass merchandiser when I did the installation and found their solutions to be about 4 times the cost and inferior in quality and utility. (They just happen to have orange as one of their corporate colors.) It did take a few days for UPS ground to deliver, however it takes a while to do all the prep work and get the cable runs in place anyway, so you'll likely be just about ready for them when they arrive. Good product and the seller was responsive. Arlington LV1-1CS Single Gang Low Voltage Mounting Bracket Device

I used these to mount my rear surround speakers. Super easy to use, just trace and cut. I double checked the cut lines with a small level before I cut all of the way through the drywall. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws - these things ARE plastic afterall.

This bracket is the pefect solution for an easy clean looking wall mount . It wil accept many differant face plated depending on your needs. Please keep in mind to use common sense when configuring your needs. I simply needed a clean way to run speaker wire up through the wall. This does not replace a gang box but it does provide a sturty fixtur to mount any faceplate.

I wanted to see what electricians were using before I started my project. Found out Arlington is king of this stuff. Make sure you KNOW whats out there before you start your project. After seeing other products, i wanted to go back and change my project. Not a bad thing just interesting.

First off, the item works well and feels good while you're installing. The quality deserves 5stars. It doesn't feel like its going to break in your hands. this item is 1-gang(the size of a single lightswitch, they make 2-4 gang) and i used this cable wall plate to make it look good.

I could go back, I'd probably buy boxes with more features. These below are paintable and seem to be complete...

IF you're planning a big project for your TVs and devices, look into this 4-gang multibox thing:Arlington TVB613-1 Recessed TV Outlet Box with Paintable Trim Plate, White, 4-Gang

and this is the big daddy kit i found that lets you complete a project. Looks like amazon doesn't sell yet. Arlington TVBR2505K TV Bridge Power Kit

Easy to install. I would have given it five stars but I kept snagging the cables on the big tabs that clamp the frame to the drywall. This product is great for protecting the drywall and allowing you to use standard wall plates for low voltage applications. - Low Voltage - Wall Mount - Electrical - Wall Plate'
