Usb Adapter Elbow Flexible - usb, adapter

I ordered this device for use with my notebook thinking it would allow me to flip dongles and flash drives any other direction than straight out.

I was more than a little dissappointed.

Pros - flexible, ratcheting, good connectors

Cons - not stiff enough, internal ribbon cable pinches

While this looked like what I need, a couple of major problems jumped out.

1) If you use this to reposition a flash drive (OCZ 8gb) and have to carry your notebook, just the act of walking will allow the drive to move. If you don't check before you set it down - one broken device.

2) To allow the flexibility, a thin ribbon cable runs internally from the male to female end. Within a first few tries, I was finding the ribbon cable was getting pinched between parts not allowing a full 90 degrees of movement and damaging the ribbon cable.

Due to the price, I will use this a bit more but expect due the poor design construction, it will have a short life span.

The Apple Air has a USB port that is located under and inboard of the laptop's edge. Some USB devices like air cards won't clear the edge of the case when attempting to plug them in. This flex adapter acts as an extension and then rotates and bends so that the device can be used in any position. Better than a cable extension.

This USB flex adapter works very well. It easily changes from left hand to right hand, and the cable can exit to the rear just above the desktop surface or an inch higher to clear the path of other hardware.

This is just what I was looking for - Can be flipped up or back to reduce sticking out the side of my laptop. Well made - a very good product as is all Cables-to-Go products. I bought it to flip up my Sprint USB Air Card and it works extremely well. It can also be folded flat along the laptop and it is flexible and tough enough to slide into my backpack without removing. Buy one of these and you will not be disappointed.

My laptop has USB ports on the side and back. I have looked all over for a simple right angle adapter that would plug into the USB port and immediately turn 90 degrees flush against the laptop case. That would allow me to plug USB devices in without them sticking out to the side as a protrusion that could easily be broken off. The FlexUSB is the closest thing I have found, but the design is such that it still sticks out 3/4 of an inch from the USB jack. It would have been better if the right angle was flush with the USB plug. I find that I don't use the FlexUSB as much as I would if it were more flush. I am now considering a short extension cable I have found that does sit much more flush.

To flimsy. It was great up until one of the little ears broke off where it pivots. I hot glued it into the position I want and there it will stay. The pivot joint ears should be made wider and stronger.

The product is well made and extremely useful. Makes it possible to use USB devices of all sizes on my PCs where the USB connections are all crammed together in a small space.

The quick delivery was appreciated.

I would definitely order this product from this company again.

I looked around for a gadget like this for some time and finally found it on Amazon. It works great and I would recommend it to anyone who has a need for a turn out of their USB port. These are the best ankle weights i have owned in terms of durability and comfort. Most ankle weights are too loose, causing them to slip and put pressure on your ankle bones, or when you do tighten them, do not allow blood flow to your feet, making them "fall asleep". These weights have very comfortable inner lining, and are flexible enough to allow blood flow.

It is always a good idea to wear some additional padding when using heavy ankle weights, so neoprene ankle supports are highly recommended to go with these or any ankle weights. When i wear these with my ankle braces, i can barely feel them on my ankles (aside from the fact that they are heavy, of course). I've been searching FOREVER for a decent set of leg weights that weigh over 5 pounds. These have little velcro pouches that you can open & close to vary the weights.

Each pouch holds 2 weights, giving you a great deal of varible weight combo's that are uniformly distributed around your ankle.

That said, now let me tell you what could be improved with them! I am 5'5" tall and weigh 110 pounds,(VERY "FIT") but have a "large" frame, my shoe is size 9 1/2, however the velcro wraps on these weights & the weights themselves will not fit TIGHTLY around my ankles unless I overlap the material they are sewn on.If the weight sections & materials to wrap them around your ankles was about an inch or so LESS, they would better fit a wider range of people. But perhaps these were designed solely with Men in mind! Also as to the little velcro closures, my son who is 15 wanted to give them a try running, & each time he took off the weights literally FLEW OUT, everywhere!! Luckily we found them all. Sooo...... IF you want a set for running, these are NOT for you!

But I use them every other day (leg day) & other than having to overlap them to get them snug, they work just great! I also have never bothered adjusting the weights in them, too much of a bother! I would just rather do all the reps I can at that weight, than fiddle with all the little pouches! Now if they just had some HEAVIER ones! Hmmmmm??? Hint ...Hint...

These are the first ankle/wrist weights I have had in 20 years. These are specifically for your ankles though. I am big guy so for me these are great and fit well on my ankles and I can wear them on my wrists since they are big enough and if not doing anything too crazy as being they are large they could fall or fly off of my wrists.

They are very flexible with your movements and adjustable in that you can take weight out them. The weights are small little rods in individual velcro pouches and thus you can make them less than 5lbs each which is great if you have other family members using them and are not up to a 5lb weight. It may sound like nothing but if you have not worked out with leg or arm weights you can really get a workout from a wide array of exercises.

They seem very well made and durable and easy to clean as needed with just some soap and water on a sponge if you they get dirty and I would suggest wearing them over thick socks or as another reviewer mentioned some neoprene ankle sleeves. Like the ones might use when working out for support of the ankle.

Lastly if you don't like them or they are not what you expected or needed you usually have 30 days via Amazon's return policy or most vendors as well, but of course check out return policy b4 ordering.

Keep in mind that there's only ONE weight, not two. So if you want one for each ankle, you need to buy two.

I ordered mine from Amazon, and the weights themselves were not as described. On the outside of the box, it says it has 10 one-pound weights, one for each slot in the strap. The actual product had 18 half-pound weights, and each slot in the strap held two. But one of the slots was empty, meaning I was missing a whole pound. I measured the total weight of the product on my digital scale, and it came out to less than 10 pounds. The weights themselves appear quite cheap and don't seem to be completely even. They are poorly-crafted pieces of metal that look like they were spray-painted black. One of the bars even had a piece of newspaper stuck to it (in this "new" product).

I'm sure the product works great. I just received mine and haven't tried it out, yet. The strap itself is very well made. I was just disappointed with the quality of the bars (especially that some were missing).

5/1/10 update (overdue):

I did hear from the manufacturer who acknowledged, indicated intent to correct (and apparently did) the perception that there are two weights (when there is only one).

Further, they sent me an additional one at no charge (after having offered to refund my money, shipping, etc.).

The only reason I do not give the product a 5 Star rating is a lack of history in use: so far, quite pleased...but the project related to winter camping was accomplished and though due for another intensive hike, the weights haven't been used otherwise. My sense is that they are quality and I hope that they hold up well over time.

Can't really refer to the overall quality of the product but beware that the presentation (including with the Amazon.com picture on the website) seems to suggest 2 weights (1 for each ankle).

There is ONLY ONE weight for ONE ankle.

Preparing for a winter camping trip (ankle weights on while at the gym recreates - and prepares my ancient legs - for the weight of boots/skis/snowshoes), I spent some time shopping for the numerous options online. Fatigued by the time I got to the reviews of this item (with all prior options being 2 weights), I missed the negative customer review caution.

Now reviewing the text, it does suggest one weight..and the picture shows the model only wearing one weight - with a weight on the floor in front (and the other picture shows two weights). This would appear to be intentionally mis-leading on the part of the manufacturer which leads me to consider returning them - if the shipping wasn't so damn expensive. Definitely WON'T be buying any other products from that company.

In retrospect, @ [...] for one ankle weight, it would have been more cost-effective (and timely) to have bought a reportedly poorer quality product - @ least there would have been 2 of them! & I could buy replacements and still be ahead of the game! - Strength Training - Adjustable - Weight Training - Spri'

I have been eating about 90% raw since February, and am used to "green" juices, which I love, and these receipes expand my opions 100 fold. I've gone through a few blenders just in the past year alone since I make smoothies so often. This book explains how to make smoothies healthy in the introduction (see inside the contents page) and there is a really good chapter on green smoothies and what ingredients you can use and various recipes. Basically it has helpful tips, hints and loads of recipes that you can make exactly as they are or make your own with less juice, more milk, different milks, yogurt, protein powders, frozen fruits etc. There's a smoothie for every occasion in here.

I love this book! I was looking for a recipe book that would give me good ideas for making delicious drinks, and this book takes it one step further. These fantastic smoothies are actually GOOD for you! What a great way to combine good health and good taste.

There are loads of recipes to choose from and that the introduction gives great advice on how to thicken smoothies and use less sugary content like adding different milks and yogurts

If you are interested in more than just great taste but in the benefits of what to add for your health then this is the book for you!

To start, my wife is diabetic, my little sister is a very picky eater, and I was never one for the healthy food movement. That is until my wife brought home this book, a load of fresh fruits, and a tub of yoghurt. (I didn't even think they made them in tubs!) Well, a few hasty tries, and we started to get the hang of making awesome smoothies! We've even started making our own recipes using the book as a guideline. This is a great way to get you started on making your own delicious snacks, desserts, even a light meal substitute, if that's what you need for the time. I'm really glad my wife got me to start eating healthier, and I'm really glad she came home with this book! Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to try a healthier alternative to high sugar drinks, and snacks. I even recommend it if you just want to try something new!

This is fantastic book if you enjoy smoothies (and who doesn't)! It is fun, it is well written, and it is full of great ideas that are tested and proven (as well as tasted I am sure) :) I am already having too much fun with this review, but it is difficult not to after reading Green Smoothie Recipes! It is filled to the brim with fun things to try out and they are all healthy AND tasty! It is difficult to find foods that are both tasty and good for you, especially in the summer when we all eat too many sugars. This book is the perfect way to learn how to increase your fruit intake without giving up on delicacies we enjoy so much. I highly recommend it and would give it more stars if I could. I am using this to connect a Seagate Portable HDD to the Microsoft Sync module's USB2 port on a 2010 Ford F150. I am using a typical male Mini USB 5-pin to male USB-A cable to connect to the female Mini USB port that is recognized as USB2 on the Sync system. I looked for a cable that was terminated as male USB Mini 5-pin on one end and female USB-A on the other but I could not find such a cable anywhere. I would have preferred this arrangement so I could connect either a conventional thumbdrive or a portable HDD with the included short cable. I still plan to try another cable that is terminated as male USB Mini 5-pin on each end if I can find one that transmits data. Thus far I can only find such a cable as transmitting charging voltage only.

i recieved this item about 2 weeks ago. it has been about 14 days of non stop trying but this will simply NOT WORK at all in my vehicle. its a 2001 chevy blazer. when i plug my ipod into this it just says loading and kind of freezes up my touch screen unit. what should i do?????

I ordered these figures mainly for the purpose of placing them on a specially ordered birthday cake. The bonus is he will have them to play with after. As soon as I opened the package I was immediately disappointed. The figures look NOTHING like the characters from the movie. I purchased figures at Walmart and they were true to character. These look nothing like what I'd hoped for. I am very very disappointed. So now he has them and I'm going to have to go to Walmart and buy figurines there. Laser Pointer - laser pointer, green laser

I hosted a scavenger hunt riddle game, and for one of the clues I wrote with an invisible ink pen, then had the teams find it with a UV light. I first bought a light that is only UV, but bought these as a backup. These lights turned out to be brighter. They're also less than half the price of the other lights, and come with batteries included, when the other light didn't. They look great, and I'm very happy with the product. And both the laser light and flashlight work well too.

Update: different sellers selling different versions.

I purchased this product a few weeks ago and was so happy that I bought another pack of 6. It was still fulfilled by amazon, but sold by a different third party seller, and to my surprise was not quite the same product.

The second time was from Vine Branch

In favor of Vine Branch: it is slightly shorter, but a little bit fatter. It seems like a higher quality product, the front feels like metal instead of cheap brittle plastic, and the back feels a bit nicer too. Also, with iGet's each of the lights bleed through the other light holes (most noticeably with the laser), making it look messy. The version by Vine doesn't have this problem. The Vine's white and UV lights are also a bit brighter.

In favor of iGet:

Vine's only came in three different colors (two each of dark purple, dark red, and black), as opposed to iGet which came in 6 different colors. Plus, vine's carabiner's didn't match as well, a bright red and bright blue carabiner. More importantly, iGet's came with a plastic clip to prevent the lights from accidentally getting turned on in travel, and Vine's did not. One of my six lights came completely dead as a result. Finally, one of Vine's UV lights was dead on arrival, though the other two lights are still working.

I bought these as cat toys. They were nicely packaged and protected so the button didn't get pressed and run down the battery during shipment. Two months in with daily use and the first one is still going strong. As a cat toy the UV and LED lights aren't incredibly useful, but I couldn't find a cheaper version without them.

These laser pointers are awesome. Just open the package containing the laser pointers I ordered. I actually had a hard time finding a laser pointer online that looked good for a reasonable price, and I was skeptical about this set because it was being sold by a 3rd-Party Amazon seller (iGet it FAST LLC). Well, I opened the package just now and felt the urge to write this review and let everyone know how great they are! Don't know how long they will last, but my first impression is 5 Stars.

We bought these laser pointers for our 2 kittens. They love them and will chase after them until we are too tired to continue. The 6 pack is a great deal so we can leave one in each room. For the price they are nice and work. Not sure how long the batteries will last but they are the button batteries and we should be able to buy replacement ones at Radio Shack. The pointers also have a light which we don't use but a nice added feature. They are small and each comes with a carabiner clip. We were going to buy a single laser pointer for five dollars and to get 6 for twelve dollars is a good deal. They are not as robust as the pen like pointers but it depends on what you need and what you want to spend. You do have to hold the button to activate the red light. I think the more expensive kind have a switch which is nice as your finger can get tired if you are playing with kittens.

6 laser pointers for $10. This was a great buy. Batteries came included. Ok, one pointer seemed like it didn't work at first, but when I changed the batteries in it with different ones from another pointer it worked fine just like the others. I should really give it 4 stars for the dead batteries but it's still a great value so there's my 5 stars!

Only 2 of the 6 pointers worked. The others all had dead batteries. One even had a dim light shining when I opened the package. Still it was just over $10 so getting 2 for 10 was better than nothing.

I just got them and they work fine! all of the laser pointers were protected and packaged properly. YES THEY DO COME WITH A UV LIGHT AND LED LIGHT!!! The laser its self is decent but im not complaining!!

ALSO IT WAS SUPOSE TO ARRIVE ON AUGUST 27TH WHEN I ORDERED IT on august 23rd... IT ARRIVED ON THE 26TH!!!! GREAT!1

I bought these to play with my new cat. He loves them. I don't see any use for the light and the UV light, but the laser is great. I've noticed that one of them is spotty when I hold down the button - its laser output is intermittent. Not a huge deal because I have 5 other lasers that do work.

I was looking for some cheap lasers to keep around the house so that I could play with the cat and make him chase this "physical impossibility" which is the red dot. Calories - watches, heart rate monitor watch

This watch is loaded with features: It accurately measures out your heart rate, it calculates how many calories you've burned through exercise, it's a full-function stop watch, you can even imput how many calories you've consumed and will sound an alarm when you've exceded your daily limit. I've been using this monitor with TurboFire/Chalean Extreme and similar cardio workouts for close to a year. I read some of the other reviews about how it's hard to get a reading while actively jogging, etc. That could be true. I usually check my heart rate at natural breaks during my workout, where I'm transitioning from one move to another. For that type workout, it gets a read quickly and accurately - at least, it's a consistent reading based on how I feel. I'm actually addicted to using the monitor and don't enjoy my workouts as much without it. Guess I like getting feedback about how hard I'm working or something.

Cons: it is bulky and not exactly attractive. But I'm sweaty and not exactly attractive when I'm wearing it, right????

Bottom line, luv it...luv it!

Overall, this heart rate monitor watch was a big disappointment. As for accuracy, the monitor was pretty close to the heart rate monitors on the treadmills at the gym. The problem with this monitor is that it works very inconsistently. Sometimes, it will give a reading in a matter of seconds. Most times, however, the little heart icon will flash as if it is taking a reading but it never actually displays one. If you keep the button pushed down long enough with no results displayed, it reverts back to the clock. One evening, I spent a good hour pressing and repressing the heart monitor button and never did get a result. Would recommend NOT buying this item.

I've read some of the other reviews and one in particular helped me to get an accurate heart rate every time. The keys are to use the pads of your fingers, not the tips, and also to make sure that there is contact between the metal battery cover and the top of your wrist while taking a reading. Even when running at a good pace I get an accurate heart rate. So far so good ... had it about a month now.

My new watch is really a hi-tech item. It adds all your daily calories, and then subtracts them as you exercise, which gives you a running total of your calorie expenditure. Doubling as a heart rate monitor, you can check your heart rate as you exercise. I am very pleased with this item.

I bought this watch about three weeks ago, and it's a fairly good watch. However, it doesn't give the most accurate readings (compared to those that have the separate chest strap). Also, it's a bit bulky, but I got used to it. For the price, I'm pleased with my purchase!

Not having a bulky chest belt seemed like a great idea, unless you want to know what your heart rate is. The MIO unit said 64, 128, 192, etc. It is so inaccurate as to be useless.
