Valentino Made In Italy - brioni made in italy, brioni

This is the first suit I decided to purchase sight unseen.

Bianco Brioni Italian Linen Mens Suit Modern 2010 Two Button 2pc Flat Front Pants Ticket Pocket Hand Tailored Suit Navy

I said "what the heck for 150 if it's bad not to much lost". I was looking for a nice Linen summer suit so I went for it. Bottom line is my wife thinks I look good in it so hay that's a good start.

We lived in Europe for several years and always went to Italy to get my suits direct from the sewing house outside of Verona. This suit fits like those did. It had the right drop, not like most American made ones which are to much, the cut was shapely but not to trim, the jacket has a nice hang and fits well across the shoulders, and the linen is good quality. The attention to detail is high with a high quality of construction, the stitching is excellent, and the hidden finishes are well done. This fall I'll get one of the wool suits and we'll see how they compare.

I wear a 44L and only had to get the arms shorten about an inch, sleeves fell to the joint of my thumb and palm. This was unusual since I'm a tall person anyway and this is the first time that was a problem. Otherwise the waist fit well as did the jacket in the shoulders and in it's overall length, and of course I got the pants hemmed. However, I'm not sure if I'll chance a 43L next time as I think I'll have to have to much tailoring done.

Bottom line I think the "suggested retail" is a bit optimistic but for the money you are definitely getting a great bargain. I'll definitely order a wool suit for the fall/winter and if that is of the same quality I'll order more. Bianco Brioni Italian Linen Mens Suit Modern 2011 Two Button 2pc Flat Front Pants Ticket Pocket Hand Tailored Suit Navy (42 Short)

DO NOT BUY !!! i was ordering 2 suits of this unbelieable cheap and badly made suits. look and feel is like a 50.- usd suit in thailand on a local market! lowest quality you can imagine ! unbelievable .... take care ! DO NOT BUY !!!

Most of my suits are custom made with high quality fibers and craftsmanship. I have purchased a total of six suits after I received the first three and saw that they are equal in quality and craftsmanship. My custom made suits cost around $1,800.00 each and these range from around $100-$135. Now that is one of the best value purchase I've ever made.

I just received this suit. I can't even explain how impressed I am with the fitting. The quality is great and the fitting is even better. Ordered 42S in this color and light beige color. VERY HAPPY with the purchase. I like to wear my pants a little below the stomach and the inseam on the pants was perfect. Jacket is even better. Great Great quality.

I am very happy with the suit I bought for my husband. He is a 40R and the fit is good. The price even with duty etc. that you pay in Bermuda it is well worth it. Would definitely think about buying another. Happy with quality of fabric and lining. - Summer Suit - Brioni - Brioni Made In Italy - Suits'

Fine Writing Instruments - astronauts, fine writing instruments

First, there is a mostly-negative review of this pen from someone that did not like the Fisher ball-point ink. You either like the Fisher refills, they allow you to write on more surfaces, higher temperature range, etc., then other refills, or you do not -- they do skip more, particularly on first use, and they generally don't have the flow of say Lamy, which is generally the top refill in this category. I should note that Lamy refills do fit fine in the Fisher, so if you prefer those, and easy remedy.

In general, in terms of the Fisher Quad pen, it is a very well made pen, and an exceptional value at it's current price point. Advantages include:

* Rubber Barrel (easy to grip)

* Chrome finish below that, in high wear area

* Very good upper Barrel in a sort of grey/titanium type finish

* Better side release mechanism (many have plastic clip release)

I found the pen somewhat lighter than the metal Lamy 4-in-1 variants, but to have better heft than a lot of the cheaper pens. Make no mistake, the Fisher is very well made. The Stylus is quite functinal. The inks, once you get used to them, quite serviceable (and easily replaced with Lamy if you don't). The mechanical pencil is of the 0.5mm class. One of the top 4-in-1 pens at any price point, and an exceptional value at its current one. Fisher Space Pen, Multi-Action Space Pen (Q4)

There are already several long and good reviews for this pen so I'll try to keep mine short.

Overall:

A very nice pen, the multifunction capabilities are great and it looks good.

Pros:

Three separate writing instruments in one. 0.7 mm thick leads which doesn't break easily.

Mediums:

The stylus is a great idea but, many people won't need it. It doesn't work on the new type of touch screens found on modern cell phones (just the old ones like a palm pilot). You can probably switch the stylus out with another pen (perhaps a blue or green one) but, then the label on the end won't be correct (no big deal).

Its a space pen (which could be a pro or a con so I put it here). Some people don't like the "feel" of these types of pens. I like the fact that it can write upside down (done it many times), underwater (don't really have a need for this), in cold weather (done it) etc. I'm not used to writing with micron smooth special pen tips using ink that is ultra great or whatever. It gets the job done, if you want a pen that works you'll like it, if you want a pen that is friction free and uses ink found in one particular species of squid that only lives off the coast of Micronesia then don't get it.

Cons:

Not many and not that severe but, the ink cartridges are small so they'll run out a bit faster. You can find the regular space pen refills at places like Target or Walmart. These take smaller refills that you may have to buy online (I did anyway). You kind of have to expect this from a multifunction pen though.

Also the eraser is kinda small (like most mechanical pencils), I essentially don't use it because I don't want to buy refills. I instead use a separate eraser which is what I do with all the previous mechanical pencils I used so I don't see it as a big deal.

There you have it, my concise review. Hope it helps.

The downfall for many multi pens in the mechanical pencil. The Fisher multi has a good 0.7mm pencil and the ink pens are nice as well.

Most multi pens including the expensive ones only have 0.5mm pencils and the lead always breaks in the smaller pencil mechanicals, thus the lead runs out quick because it also does not hold much lead. The bigger 0.7mm lead means it holds less lead but it does not break nearly as much so it actually last longer. The eraser like every multi pen is basically emergency only, so keep a easer handy at the desk. I use a Staedtler Plastic Eraser.

The stylus is useless, it does not work on I-phones so it will only be good for your 1990s era Palm Pilot, I replaced it Lamy blue pen for blue, black, and red ink pens. The Fisher ink is nice not as nice as the Lamy ink but still good. Other multi's I have switched ink out as soon as I use them with Lamy ink because they are very light writing, but the Fisher ink will stay. The other things I don't like with the Fisher ink and like on the Lamy is the tip is colored coded so you can see you are using the blue ink, the Fisher red and black ink have the same tip so I scribble a bit to verify the color.

The selection action of the pen is nice it's the typical face up what you want and press the button, a small button on the side releases the selection. It works good and has little miss-selection. The look of the pen is great with the dark chrome barrel and chrome tip and buttons. The rubber grip feels great and is sized / shaped right to be comfortable not a annoying like many other grips.

The Fisher Multi does not have the heft of my Parker or my high end Rotring and Lamy multi pens. Those cost much more and have the annoying 0.5mm pencil issues so the Fisher is my favorite to use for day to day work and is a great buy.

Been using pens forever (who hasn't?) & always wanted to have a "favorite pen" but never found one.. until now. The Space pens are nothing new -- the pressurized ink writes smoothly and doesn't leak which is a huge plus. But what I really cared about is how this particular pen has not just regular black, but also pencil (.7mm too which is good since it's thick and not easy to break) & red colored ink. In my job, I must have a pencil on hand as well as red ink in addition to regular black. That meant 3 instruments. Now I am saved from that hassle. The padded grip is great and the pen is weighted perfectly. Plus, it doesn't cost a fortune for this pen either.

I had no need for the stylus function and frankly I would like to see an updated version do away with the stylus and instead put another ink color. This is as resistive screens have been on a huge decline in the past few years with much better capacitive screens taking over, and continuing to surge in 2011. Even resistive screens that exist today are so well adapted to finger pressure that you don't need a stylus for those type of screens either. Therefore, please get rid of the stylus, as it's a feature from yesteryear. - Stylus - Great Pen - Fine Writing Instruments - Astronauts'

Outdoor Wireless Speaker - outdoor wireless speaker, great price

My friend was having a wedding and wanted to play some back round music while everyone was socializing. These speakers were the perfect thing we were looking for. During the time these were on sale at Costco for about $120 so we got them. We had already had 2 of the speakers that we got from Kohls which were a different brand but still worked, 900Mhz. When the speakers are plugged into a outlet, the quality is great and so is the range. What is good is that you can toss some batteries into them(we had six speakers and they take 6 batteries each, do the math haha) and they will work wirelessly. The dock also takes 4 AA batteries. The quality is not the best with batteries in them, limited to about 50-75 feet, but still worked for what we needed. Now we have them in our living room and the main dock is connected to the tv and the speakers are all around the room and they work really great. They are the easiest thing to set up. All you do is plug the speaker into the wall or toss in some batteries and then connect the transmitter to the tv and it all works. So if you are looking for some good speakers but dont want the Bose price, then i would recommend you getting these and you will love them.

***PROS***

-They have good sound quality for the price

-You get 4 speakers

-Ipod dock which can be connected to the tv or other device

-Remote which powers the speakers and controls the volume

-Can be battery operated

-Wireless. Just plug into an ipod and your ready to go

-Wall mount ready. Just put 2 screws into the wall and hook the speaker up

-Can be placed in different rooms of the house

***CONS***

-Annoying blue light(can be covered up with black tape)

-Lots of "C" batteries needed so you don't have to have it plugged into the wall

-Signal strength is lowed with using batteries

-Sometimes they turn off when not in us. Pain to turn them all back on and then have to turn up the volume

-One of the speakers likes to make a static noise some times. I can be sitting on the couch and if I move my head a little forward then it makes the noise, I move it back, the noise stops. And about 10 min after I turn the tv off, that speaker likes to make one final good bye static noise.

Design- 5 stars

They are all black, but they do come in different color(black, pink, and white). It almost has a 360 speaker, but the mounting space in the back takes up some room. Then the bass is on the top. The remote is nice to have too, but you have to point it at each speaker to change the volume or turn it on or off. They have a blue LED light, which can be bright and annoying sometimes but you get use to it or you can put a piece of black tape over it too.

Quality- 4 stars

The sound works for what is needed of them. They have good sound when connected to a outlet, but when the batteries are in the quality goes down. They can get very loud if you have a lot of them together. Or you can place them around the house to listen to music in different room. Some times we have one in our kitchen to listen to the tv while we cook and eat (comes in handy).

Overall- 4 stars

They work for what you need and are great to have when ever you are having a party or just want to crank up the music. They are weather proof too.

If this review was helpful to you, plase like it. Thanks! Audio Unlimited SPK-VELO-4KIT2 Premium 900MHz Wireless Indoor/Outdoor 4 Speaker System with Remote and Dual Power Transmitter (Black)

We were shopping for a sound system for our living room, because as usual, the TV speakers aren't very loud and really get alot of distortion at higher volumes. Our living room is connected to the kitchen, and while you can see the TV from the kitchen, you couldn't really hear it. And if someone was in the kitchen, or the dishwasher was running...forget trying to hear the TV!

Anyway, I had been shopping several systems, but our living room is deep and we didn't want the hassle of running the wires for the rear speakers and we didn't want to spend the extra $200+ for wireless rears. I was just browsing at Costco tonight and found these and figured I'd try them out, and since it was Costco, if I didn't like them I could return them.

I was super excited when I got them out of the box and realized that they are literally plug and go. Couldn't be any easier to install. We have lots of outlets so finding a place to put them was no problem at all. I put one in the front of the room by the TV and one behind the couch on an end table. Those two were plenty loud for the room, so I took the 3rd to the kitchen and put it on the counter. I cooked dinner and ran the dishwasher tonight and couldn't even hear the dishwasher! The speakers were loud enough to drown it out, without being overly loud and without any distortion. (They also have holes in the back for wall mounting, if you are so inclined.) Since they are indoor/outdoor I'm not concerned with any splatter or mess from being in the kitchen, because I should be able to just wipe it off.

Then I took the 4th one out to the garage to see if it would really work as well through walls, and far removed from the transmitter, and I have to say the sound is just as good and clear outside in the garage as in the house. I'm really impressed.

I watched some hockey, listened to some music and part of a movie and the sound was excellent and crisp on all of them.

It is a little annoying that you have to turn each one on individually, and adjust the volume every time (when you turn them off it resets to the lowest setting), but on the other hand, I don't necessarily want them all on ALL the time, either, so it does allow me some versitility with the volume depending on what I'm watching and what I'm doing. I like that it came with multiple ends, too, so you can plug it into lots of different things with ease.

For the price, I don't think they can be beat. They sound just as good, or better, than any full-fledged home theatre system I've heard. They are 900mhz, and most of the "in a box" sets you can get in the couple hundred dollar range are 1000mhz, so that aren't too far behind. They serve our purpose perfectly (adding volume without distortion, and getting sound evenly through the living area) without being a big hassle or too expensive. For the casual user who just wants their TV to sound better, I don't think there's a better option at all. I would highly recommend these to anyone. Even my husband, who's the deaf one (LOL), and was pushing for new speakers, was really satisfied when he got home tonight and heard them.

Since I've only had them a few hours I can't speak for durability or longevity, but for the price, even if they only lasted a year or so they'd still be worth it. - Outdoor Speakers - Great Price - Outdoor Wireless Speakers - Outdoor Wireless Speaker'

Printer Cable From Usb Port - usb adapter, laserjet

I used it to connect an old Canon BJ-200E printer to a new Dell desktop. Win XP did indeed recognize and install the printer as soon as I plugged it in - no additional drivers were necessary - but I still needed to run the "Add Printer" wizard to get it to appear on my printer list. Then I went into the printer properties and switched from the standard printer port to USB. That was it. **Note that the manufacturer specifies WIN 98SE/2000/XP and Mac OS v8.6-9.2.

KX-1121 Sabrent SBT-UPPC USB to Parallel 6-Foot Printer Cable

. . .even if the in-laws didn't want it to happen.

When I bought a new iMac to replace an old Dell, I joined a growing family of computer owners. Our laser and inkjet printers are too young to toss out but our new computers don't have a parallel port for a printer. Parallel and serial ports are disappearing, even on Intel/Windows machines.

The computer biz's solution: Come on, buy a snazzy new USB printer for that snazzy new computer! Apple doesn't even list my HP LaserJet 6L among compatible printers for the iMac. Could they be in cahoots? Hmmm . . .

The LaserJet still prints out a razor-sharp manuscript. With a little maintenance now and then, I can get more value out of it than I would for the price of a new printer. Off I went in search of a solution, but at all the usual brick-n-mortars, a simple USB-to-parallel cable was half a C-note!

Back here on Amazon.com, I found this Sabrent cable. Though most of the reviews extoll its virtues on Windows machines, I figured I could gamble the cost.

I hit the jackpot. With the price of shipping, the cable is less than half the lowest price I found. Even better, the iMac already had (or found on the Internet) a driver for the cable, and then hunted up a public domain driver for the LaserJet that works like a charm.

So, a 21st century computer has found the perfect mate in a printer from the late 1990s. And they lived happily ever after.

I have an HP LaserJet 4L that still works just fine, but my laptop is too new and doesn't have a parallel port. I wasn't sure there would be any easy solution to this problem, so I did my homework before buying this cable and it was still wrong.

The product information's claim that this cable will work with all parallel printers is simply wrong. Although I gather from the other reviews that there are 4Ls this cable does work with, it certainly doesn't work with mine, whose plug is 25-pin-- not exactly an uncommon configuration, since it worked fine on a laptop only slightly older than my current one.

Worse, although the product information doesn't include pictures close enough to confirm that the female parallel end will work, Tiger Direct now won't accept the cable back because it isn't defective-- just wrong, and useless.

It's odd, too, that Tiger Direct would bother being so vague in the product information, because they do sell a cable that would be compatible with my [very common] printer, and to which they could presumably point customers with a similar setup without losing business. Now, though, I won't be purchasing the correct cable from them.

I recently upgraded to a motherboard that didn't come with an on-board parallel port. That was a slight problem since I use an old Apple LaserWriter Select 360 as my printer and still wanted to use it with this new motherboard. I was looking for a parallel-to-usb cable and came across this one and decided to try it out. Installation was a breeze. I plugged it into one of my usb ports and Windows XP Pro SP2 immediately recognized and installed the drivers for me. I then had to change the printer preference so that it would use the "usb port" instead of the usual LPT1 port for parallel port. I am happy to say that I can still use my trusty Apple LaserWriter with my Windows PC.

I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews on this cable. I didn't know the manufacturer, either. However, it functioned just as advertised, straight out of the box. I have an old printer (HP DeskJet 720c) that has a parallel connection on it, and I just bought a new laptop with no parallel ports. I didn't want to bother with a docking station, so I bought this cable. I plugged it in, ran the add printer wizard that popped up in XP as soon as it detected my printer, and have had no problems since. I am thoroughly satisfied.

I recently replaced an aging PC with a new one having no parallel port, so this USB-to-Parallel cable seemed like the ideal solution to keep my similarly ancient HP Laserjet running (those old HP printers just keep going and going).

The Sabrent cable was the cheapest one available from Amazon, and I soon found out why.

After some trial and error (and a trip to the Sabrent website for instructions not included with the product), I got it working under Vista ... for about a day. After turning off or suspending either the PC or the printer, Vista kept continually "reacquiring" the USB connection but failed to complete any spooled print job, often locking up the printer in the process. By removing and reinstalling the printer via the Windows Control Panel, I was able to get it working again in maybe 1 out of 3 attempts - not worth the effort.

I finally gave up and ordered another slightly more expensive alternative from Amazon (Cables to Go) which actually came with grammatically correct English instructions and worked flawlessly out of the box.

This may be an issue with Vista (reviewers here with Windows XP seem more likely to get the Sabrent cable working), but my advice is to spend a bit more and avoid the frustration. - Laserjet - Hp - Usb Adapter - Printer Cable From Usb Port'

High Definition - 3d, hdmi

I bought this TV about a week ago and was a little depressed when I hooked it up to my provider because I had yet to call an order my HD, the picture was good, but not great. I called the next morning, ordered the HD, flipped on ESPN and was absolutley dazzled. The picture is crisp, clear, vibrant, and just looks uttlerly amazing. I am not a big 3D fan, so the basic model was more than enough for me, and for the price, the value is amazing. Regarding glare, I have read prior reviews that this is a problem with LG tvs, I have mine in a basment with windows so there is quite a bit of light andi was worried, but much to my delight ,the is glare is very minimal. As far as the menu and adjustments they are both very easy to use, I just keep the itelligent sensor on most of the time and it provides a very accurate picture, sometimes a tad too dark, but usually its right on. Sound is also decent from what I can remeber for the first night, but I have soundbar hooked up so I havent experiences too much on that. BUY THIS TV, you will LOVE IT! LG 60PV450 60-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

I am very happy with my new TV. The price is great and so is the picture quality. I use a stereo sound system for the sound so cannot rate the sound. These is a little glare, but no more than I had with my old rear projection HD tv. In fact, there is less glare. I was very pleased that my Harmony remote was very easy to set up with this tv. I have programmed 4 tvs now with the Harmony and this was by far the easiest. I did not need the internet apps because I have a PS3. The movies on the PS3 are great. Also, I had not interest in 3D. So if you do not need those extras, I highly recommend this TV. By the way, the Tv has 3 HDMI's. One is on the side and 2 in the rear. If you look at the manual on line, it shows an "S" video outlet. It does not have the "S" video outlet.

I just bought this TV from amazon.com yesterday and spent most of today with it. Here are my top of mind comments, hopefully they can be helpful to others considering this HDTV.

PROS:

+ A Good Value. The price/screen ratio - as well as the features - are simply unmatched (especially compared to LED/LCDS of a similar size).

+ Picture Quality. The picture quality is also very good. Vibrant colors, easy to adjust picture with advanced user controls. Only took me about 5 minutes of tinkering to find a setting that works well.

+ Thinner than most plasmas of late. This HDTV is pretty thin and many will be surprised it's a plasma (it looks more like LCD/LED thin, which is a good thing).

+ Highly rated Quality/Reliability. I checked out the latest consumer reports ratings and LG - along with Panasonic - receive the highest ratings in terms of quality and reliability in the plasma TV space.

CONS:

- Glare. No surprise here if you've read the other reviews on this site and elsewhere. But I do want to put this into context. It's not a deal breaker, it's more of an occasional distraction. Let me explain:

My TV is in my living room which has two big windows, one on each side of the TV. With the blinds mostly closed, glare is only occasionally a problem when the tv has an bright image, but in darker scenes, if you look closely, you CAN often see your reflection in the TV. (I have only a wall behind me, no lights).

Most of the time this is not a big deal but this can be kinda distracting if the movie you're watching is dark. I find myself having to close my blinds completely - even during the day - if I want to completely eliminate the glare - something I've NEVER had to do with my 50" Panasonic Viera plasma (2009) also with no anti-reflective screen. This is why i dropped one star from the otherwise stellar HDTV.

BOTTOM LINE:

Would I have re-bought this TV if I could do it all over again? Yes. But with two caveats:

1. If they had put an anti-reflective screen on this TV it would have been one of the best TV's in the value space. As it stands, I'd rate this tv in the 85th/90th percentile for this size and price. The glare really is the only issue, and as issues go, it's a pretty minor fault espcially since it can be resolved by controlling the light in your room.

2. I kinda wish I had upgraded to the LG model with the built in netflix (LG PZ550). I currently use my ps3 for netflix streaming but only recently learned my ps3 (original) uses 197 watts to stream, versus just using the HDTV (no additional power needed) or apple tv (6 watts) or roku 2 (at 2-4 watts). This would have saved me money over time in energy savings. Something I wish I had considered with this TV.

I just purchased this tv and let me tell you I am pleasantly surprised. It has a slim bezel and looks great. I have noticed that you can see a huge difference in quality in HD programing. Watching ABC and from one hd commercial to another there can be a big difference. At least with my rear projection 60" Sony Bravia it was not as noticeable. I am very impressed. It only has 2 hdmi's but that is all I need. This tv is a great bang for your buck.

I debated for awhile on what type of TV to purchase. Ultimately I decided to purchase a plasma. I had read hundreds of reviews about how good panasonic was, but I had seen them side by side with a samsung and an LG, and in my opinion the LG and samsung had a better picture. I was wanting the samsung but the one I was looking at had been discontinued and the replacement was quite a bit more expensive. I started looking at this model and last years and it had great reviews. This was a bit larger than I had been looking at also.

The TV has an amazing picture. I cannot comment on the sound cause I've had it hooked up to our surround sound since day 1. But I love this TV and would recommend it to anyone that asked. HD programming looks great and blu-rays are amazing. I would consider this one of my best purchases ever. - Hdmi - 240hz - Hdtv - 3d'

All In One Printer - all-in-one, fax

I was a bit nervous about buying this printer because there were no reviews yet on Amazon and my wife has had all kinds of software problems with an HP Photosmart printer that she bought last year (against the advice of dozens of Amazon reviewers). But after looking around a bit, I decided that the HP LJ3050 looked like the best all-in-one laser machine for the money. And I really loved my previous all-in-one, the HP LJ3100, which had served me well for 8 years.

I just received the product and installed it today, and the installation went smoothly (although it did take a while). The print quality is fine and the speed is an improvement over my old 3100. My only complaint about the print function so far is that the machine is kind of loud. The scan software doesn't seem quite as straightforward as the software for my 3100, but it does work just fine. I probably just need to get used to it. Copying is nice and quick. I haven't plugged the machine into a phone jack yet, so I won't comment on the fax features.

The machine is not quite as solidly built as my old 3100, but it is actually a little better than I expected. I would have to say that, overall, I am pleased with this product so far. My only complaint is that the box does not include the USB cable needed to connect the machine to your PC. I had to make a special trip out to the store to buy one, and it cost over $20. I went back and checked the outside of the box and could not find anything that clearly said "USB cable not included", so I feel like I have a right to be angry about it. HP Laser Jet 3050 All in One Printer/Copy/Scanner (White/Black)

Faxes are received as bar codes. HP knows a problem exist with the formatter board but it took 4 calls to customer support for the problem to be acknowledged. To fix this under warranty HP wants to charge $50 for a refurbished copier sent overnight. I want the copier repaired at no cost at the local repair center but HP will not send the part. The part is backordered with "no estimate ship date". I can buy the part as an end user for $193. HP does not stand behind it's products.

I bought this with the half off rebate - as a result it was very reasonable in price. I wouldn't pay full price for it though.

Prior to owning this unit, I owned an Officejet V40 which I was quite satisfied with. The reason that I replaced it is that there are no decent drivers for current operating systems. I also had noticed that is was larger than current all-in-ones with similar functionality. However, it was easy to use and worked realiably for 5 years.

In comes the HP 3050. While it does its job fine - I do have three negative comments. It is a monster in size! I have no idea why it is so large! It's color scanning errors on the side of being too red. Finally, its menus and functions are not as intutiive as they could be.

Added this machine to my new Vista-powered notebook. Although the printer drivers will automatically install and let me print, none of the included software on HP's installation CD will work. So beware that you will get none of the supporting software for scanning, faxing, etc. Chat session with HP was no help -- they're "working on it" with Microsoft.

The installation of this printer went very well. However, after installing the printer my computer began running EXTREMELY slow. I checked and it was using 100% of the CPU. I stopped all the processes associated with this printer and my speed returned to normal. I contacted HP and they said it is a known problem and they are working on it (that was six months ago). They still are working on it. HP's solution is to install the print driver only (so you cannot use the scan or fax feature) until they write new software for this printer.

They should have recalled the printer since it doesn't work properly. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRINTER!!!!

After quite a few phone calls, I was finally told that there are many problems with the "Fax Receiving Function" for this product... Yet there were no mentioning of this situation on HP's website. HP rated it 4 or more stars. Now their staff finally told me the truth!!! I wish I had known it earlier.

If you just want this for a printer, its a dandy little machine. If you want to use this for business, be prepared to fax your pages twice... because you will have to get a call from the receiving end saying "your pages are all garbled, could you please fax again?!". Then you either must run the "scan hotfix" off of the hp website or turn the machine off. This happens about 1 out of every 4 faxes or scans. You'll know when you scan something and see the horrible results. Stay away from this machine if you need it for faxing or scanning. Printing... sure. Unless, of course, HP does some sort of new software patch or driver update or something, otherwise this would be one of the quickest, best multi-function machines on the market. - All In One Printer - All-in-one - Printer - Fax'

Holiday Lights - cable, stapler

This stapler is well-designed and well-constructed. All hand contact areas are covered with black rubber material for comfortable use. The stapler's operation is smooth, and the handle is a "low stroke" design which reduces hand fatigue. I found it easy to pull, and was able to fire the stapler by squeezing using just two fingers. The stapler's body is made of "Aircraft Aluminum", so it is strong but lighter than the classic steel-bodied stapler.

Near the front of the stapler there is a "staple size / reload" window, which lets you see what size staples are currently loaded (1/4", 3/8", 1/2" or 6mm, 10mm, 14mm) and whether the stapler is almost empty.

At the front of the stapler there is a thumb wheel which flips the wire guide "cable tracker" down, or up and out of sight. This is a U-shaped piece of metal that protrudes about 1/8" downward from the front of the stapler. It is useful when stapling wires or cables. It shows where the staple's points will emerge (so you don't pierce the wire), and it keeps the front of the stapler from crushing the wire.

At the base of the stapler's handle there is a simple wire handle lock. Squeeze the handle closed, and then engage the handle lock. This is useful for storage, especially if you want to return the stapler to its original hard-plastic packaging.

At the rear of the stapler there is a switch to control the "High-Low Power" feature. You'll need to experiment to determine which setting is best.

I used this stapler for a challenging upholstery project. It smoothly drove 100+ staples into hard oak, without a single jam. I used Stanley-brand staples TRA04T 1/4-inch and TRA06T 3/8-inch; this stapler can also use Arrow-brand staples.

If you are stapling into hardwood, and the staple isn't going all the way in, it might be the fault of the staples rather than the stapler! Consider what size staple you are using. If you are stapling through one layer of thin material, then you should be using 1/4-inch staples, not 3/8-inch staples. In this situation, a 3/8-inch staple won't drive completely into the hard wood and its legs will buckle instead. But a 1/4-inch staple is relatively stiffer and will drive perfectly. If you are stapling through two layers of thicker material, then 3/8-inch staples are the better choice. Staples are inexpensive (but see below), so buy a variety of sizes and experiment to determine which size is best for your project.

If the staple is not quite all the way in, you can finish it off by tapping it with a hammer. But observe carefully -- if the staple is protruding a lot, its legs will buckle and the hammer will flatten the staple rather than driving it. In this case you'll need to remove and redo this staple. A staple remover comes in handy.

One note of caution -- staples are available for purchase here, but as of this writing they are available only from third-party sellers, so their shipping will exceed the price of the staples themselves. Stanley TR250 SharpShooter Plus Heavy Duty Staple/Brad Nail Gun

I've used it on two projects using a total of about 150 staples. When using half inch staples into poplar wood they didn't always go all the way in. However when I adjusted the strength of the pull I had no problem (see lever at back of stapler. This is a cool feature.) I used five sixteenth staples on my second project and had no problems using the low setting. I had no problems with jamming on either project. I gave it four stars for now as I've only used it on two projects and can't speak to durability.

While most of us don't use heavy duty staplers on a daily basis, but if you are like me when you use it you need for it to work. I can say that I have never had an issue with Stanley Sharpshooter. It is never gotten jammed and it is a cinch to replace the staples (T50). In my opinion, I think that Stanley is the bell-weather for heavy duty staplers.

One thing that is a bit of complaint is that it doesn't always penetrate pine flush. In fact, about 30% of the time it leaves about 1/8" of the staple above the surface. While this isn't that big of deal (A flat-head screw driver will pop the staple with little effort). However, if the Stanley Sharpshooter was used in harder wood like Oak the staple may only go into the wood halfway. The question is... how often do you use your stapler in hard wood?

Things that I like

- Never had a miss feed - never jammed

- Easy to replace the staples

- Heavy duty steel construction

Areas for improvement

- It takes a fair amount of hand strength to operate - many women may have problems

- Staple doesn't consistently fully penetrate pine - you may have significant problems in hard wood.

Final verdict-

While there are some minor flaws the Stanley Sharpshooter is an excellent choice for most tool boxes

4 Stars

I use this at work for stapling insulation, plastic sheeting, radiant barriers, etc., and have used thousands of staples with it. I only recall one jam ever, which was easy to clear. This stapler is also lightweight and very quick and easy to reload. Like any stapler I've used it takes a lot of force to squeeze the handle, and after stapling all day my hand does get tired, but this one seems easier to use than others. The construction feels very solid and it seems very durable. I highly recommend this if you want a reliable, lightweight, and easy to load stapler.

I've had my Sharp Shooter Plus for a short time but after more than 2000 staples it has not jammed. If you use the manufacture recommended staples and brads you may not have a jamming problem. The manufacture recommends Stanley TRA 700 series or Arrow T50 staples.

You can easily adjust the force of the brad nailer/staple gun with high/low adjustments. It also accomodates brads ½ to 5/8 inch and staples ¼ to 9/16. It's solidly made and has a good balance in your hands. Mine is actually yellow in color which make it easier to find. There's also a cable/wire guide to assist you in stapling down cables/wires.

I (highly) recommend this tool for your tool box. Uses would apply to screens, signs, upholstery, insulation strips, holiday lights, cables/audio/wiring systems, framing, canvas art, radiant barriers etc. I am an avid DIY'r. - Stapler - Nailers - Cable - Stanley'

For Do-it-yourselfe - rotary tools, corded rotary tools

I bought this Dremel because it is the only one that works with Dremel's new multisaw attachment. With that attachment, which is sold separately, you can use it like a miniature reciprocating saw (Sawzall). Just pop any "T" or "U" shaped jigsaw blade in, and you're in business. I don't know of another tool that can be used in this way, and for that reason and that reason alone this Dremel is worth owning.

I already own another multiple-speed Dremel, and I thought I'd sell it once I bought this. But I'm keeping both because this new Dremel simply feels cheap and poorly made. It seems like its plastic case is flimsier and it doesn't feel as balanced when it's operating. It certainly isn't ergonomic. Any Dremel user who buys this latest model will instantly notice the drop-off in quality.

On the good side, the multisaw attachment works well and the molded plastic case is designed to hold the Dremel, the multisaw and planer attachments, jigsaw blades, the included circle cutter and flex shaft. The kit also includes two bit sets that lock onto the top of the case, with room for two more on the sides.

There's no way I can tell if this Dremel will last. I've put a pretty good load on the motor, and it hasn't failed. But I think that if I drop it more than a few feet onto a hard surface, it will break. The shaft lock button feels particularly cheap and uncertain. I expect it to break first.

Despite all my concerns I'm keeping this Dremel. But I'll only use it when I need the multisaw or planer attachment (the planer attachment must be purchased separately...it only comes with the higher-priced kit). Any other time I'll use my other Dremel (model no. 3956-02).

It's extremely unfortunate that at the same time it has chosen to make the most versatile Dremel yet, the company also decided to cut corners on quality. Dremel doubtlessly wanted to keep the price down on this unit, but in doing so they've produced a multi-function tool that feels like a toy. Dremel 400-2/51 400 Series XPR Rotary Tool Kit With 51 Accessories

I have used the Dremel MultiPro for a LONG time. However, the XPR is a major disappointment. The only reason I purchased it was for the proprietary planer attachment that only works with this model. Before I did the planing work, I intended to cut some aluminum stock with a heavy cutoff blade. 1 inch in on a 2 inch cut the motor burned up and it died. Brand new pile of garbage. I've used my multipro to do this exact same job multiple times as well as much heavier gauge metals such as steel. This pile of garbage is going back and I'll find another way of doing my planing work.

The tool heats up very quickly during short use. Air vent placement might account for some of the heat, older model have it on top not on the side. When holding this XPR model my hands sometimes block the vents. Have to hold down shaft lock bottom really hard to remove collet nut, the shaft keeps slipping. Took the tool apart and found that the shaft lock pin is a lot smaller than the opening on the shaft. Just does not feel like a sturdy well made tool the first time I held it. Very disappointed with this tool.

I fully agree with above reviewers. I bought one of these and right away suspected that it wouldn't last. I was right. After 2 or 3 uses the on/off switch would not slide to the "on" position any more. The earlier model Dremels were much better. Avoid this 400 series, the less expensive 300 series is much better.

Just bought it to replace my older Dremel (which lasted 10+ years!). Within 10 minutes of using it, I heard a popping sound and smoke started coming out of it! So I finally get a replacement, and guess what? It starts smoking after another 10 minutes of use, won't even rev up anymore, just sputters along. I still like dremel, but this is a very poorly thought out and made item. Overheats like crazy!

My 3981-01 got stolen a few days ago, and I picked this up as a replacement since the box makes it sound like the next best thing since sliced bread.

This Dremel is far shy of the quality of my old one -- it's definitely cheap plastic, with even cheaper button & dial materials. While the additional RPMs are all well and good, I highly doubt it will last long in regular use. Looks like it's off to RotoZip for me!

I am a novice with all things dremel (had only heard of them 2 weeks before my purchase). I had one particular project in mind and was very wary of spending 75 bucks for one reason but thought that I will probably come up with a multitude of reasons over the next 5 years (hopefully it lasts that long). With that said, it has worked very well. It does get very hot after 10 minutes but I use that as an excuse to take a break (and write a review). I would actually recommend buying the 400-6/90 instead of this especially for only 30 dollars more. The individual accessories are very expensive to buy so buying the 6/90 (which comes with the planar and the jigsaw) would be a great deal better. It is very lightweight so I suppose it could feel like a toy. However, it is adept at doing what I wanted it to do. Now hopefully, I will be able to find more than 3 ways to use this thing. Dremel should commission someone to write a book about the various uses of this. I would have appreciated that more than anything else.

Don't forget the protective eyewear!

From day one I had a problem tightening the collet. No matter how hard I held down the shaft lock button, I would feel it tighten and then click and spin past the tight position - just going around and around and never truly tightening. Numerous times the metal bit flew right out while the tool was running. Once it flew out with such velocity I never saw the bit again (couldn't find it). Finally the metal teeth of the collet broke off and the thing is now unuseable. I also had the same problem as another reviewer where the switch gummed up and could not be slid from off to on without the help of a screwdriver or such. And there was no documentation describing what the different bits are for - pretty stupid. - Multitool - Rotary Tools - Dremel Xpr - Corded Rotary Tools'

Rechargeable Batteries - rechargeable batteries, black and decker

If you are still using a VersaPak tool, this is the replacement battery for you. Unlike the original NiCad batteries, these NiMH batteries have no "memory" issues and will hold a charge for months while on the shelf. In addition, they deliver more power for over twice the time before discharge, and have a working life of many years.

This product is very difficult to find in retail stores. If you want to rejuvinate your B&D VersaPak power tools, scrap the silver (NiCad) and go for the gold (NiMH). It's well worth the extra cost (the Gold purchased on-line is actually cheaper than the Silver at retail price). Vp 110 - 6 Versapak Gold 6-pack Batteries New Vp110 - 6

I have been using the VersaPak Gold VP110 NiMH batteries in my Dustbuster DB800 for years without any problems.

They are always ready for me to use and they charge overnight in the dustbuster charger when they are completely dead.

I just wish they were offered together with a separate charger.

They are worth every penny of the extra cost and they will be the last VersaPak batteries you will ever need to buy!

SHOPPED AROUND FOR A DEAL ON THESE BATTERIES. SEVERAL WEB SITES WANTED $25. PER BATT.. AT THIS SITE THE DEAL WAS MUCH BETTER. 6 FOR AROUND $90. PAYS TO SHOP AROUND.

RAY B.

The Versapak batteries and system by Black and Decker is great. It is to bad that these were not the batteries that were supplied with the Versapak tools. I bought my first Gold battery over five years ago, and it still works like new. They are stronger, last longer per charge, and last a much longer time than the silver batteries. I'm convinced that the Versapak tools would have been a hit if they came with the Gold batteries.

The price of the 6 pack of Versapak Gold Batteries was a great value for the money, and finding them at such a reasonable rate was surprizing! I have a lot of things that require the Versapak batteries, and thought it would be difficult finding what I needed. The seller sent out the 6 pack of Versapak Gold batteries very quickly, The package arrived with no dammage, and I could tell care had been given.Looking forward too longer life batteries, I would definately buy from this seller again! - Battery Packs - Black And Decker - Versa Pak - Rechargeable Batteries'

Laptop Docking Stations - notebook stand, laptop cooling stand

I have been searching for a long time for a stand for my laptop and tried many. I have never found one that was any good until now. This is wonderful. I love it. Perfect height, doesn't slip around and easy to move the laptop if you need to with the stand! Great product. GPG2 Notebook Lift for 13 to 17 Inch Notebook Computers, White (102-1NOL-WI)

Once the packaging is open, the directions for opening this simple device are on the paper insert. Done. If there is one drawback it is the angle cannot be adjusted. For this, a more expensive device would be needed. As it is, the angle is perfect and it works well. Can't say anything negative about it at all. A good investment for a simple, inexpensive laptop holder.

I bought this item and it was delivered today. Set it up; it's very cheap and flimsy. My laptop slid right off of it the first time I used it and it scratched the top of it because the prongs at the top are not rounded metal - simply cut metal with a sharp edge. I put duct tape on it and it gives it a better grip and protects my laptop, but I shouldn't have had to do this. I wouldn't recommend buying this product. Spend the extra money and get a really nice laptop stand!

The GPG2 works well as a laptop lift. I was originally going to purchase one of the more expensive laptop risers, but then saw this model and tried it for the price. I was concerned about stability, but haven't had any issues. Note that I do use it simply to elevate the monitor so that it is level with my primary external monitor (giving me two easily-viewable screens); this has really helped my comfort level working. I use a USB keyboard for actual typing; the GPG2 has held fine during a few typing tests, but I can't speak to long-term use.

I also used to have problems with my laptop running hot; this stand has greatly reduced that as there is plenty of room for airflow under the monitor now. - Laptop Cooler - Notebook Riser - Notebook Stand - Laptop Cooling Stand'

Hard Workout - gofit, hard workout

After searching the internet thoroughly, I decided to give the GoFit weight vest a try. I'm sure if you spent over a $100 on a weight vest, which many of them cost, you could find something that would be just a little better, and I mean just a little. This vest is comfortable, fits well and is adjustable for size, is weighted nicely and gives the back in particular a good workout just wearing it. There's been research on weighted vests and osteoporosis. One source indicated that just wearing a 10 lb. weight vest an hour a day will prevent osteoporosis from progressing. That was important to me. I'm very glad I didn't buy the hype and purchase a more expensive one. GoFit 10-Pound Walking Vest with Removable Water Bottle Holder

If you are looking for a less expensive, functional weighted walking vest, this one will do. As with most "one size fits all" items, it doesn't really. On me, a 5'1" woman, the top part of it is too large. At first it felt like it was slipping off my shoulder, but I got used to it. The velcro waist straps aren't actually at my waist - more like over my belly. The vest has 22 interior pockets for the 22 weight sacks - 11 on the front and 11 on the back. The pockets are made of that stretchy, rubbery material that is often used for canned drink insulation sleeves. Each pocket has a slit that runs crosswise in the middle of the pocket. That is how the weight pouches can be removed. If you did that a lot, I would think eventually that slit would rip, because you have to stretch it quite a bit to get the weight pouches in and out. Each weight pouch contains what is described as metal shot. It looks like dirty sand. The sandy stuff is first sealed into black plastic. Then that was sewn into a synthetic fabric pouch. The sewing on the fabric pouches was very sloppy. I decided to remove the fabric - it just seemed to make it more difficult to get the weight sacks in and out of the vest pockets. A few of the plastic pouches weren't completely sealed, allowing the sandy material to leak out. This was easily remedied with some duct tape. I only wear my vest at home, indoors, on my treadmill and elliptical, so the look of it wasn't a big deal. As I believe someone else mentioned, it looks something like a bullet-proof vest. I think I would feel silly wearing mine outdoors, especially since it is rather ill-fitting. In summary, this vest gives me the extra 10 pounds to wear on the treadmill and elliptical, but it's not pretty and it's definitely the economy version of one of these things.

It is comfortable and feels as expected. My neighbors say it looks like a bullet proof vest and it does! I would recommend this but I think it could have a better slot for ipod and or cell phone. It looks like it is a little reflective but not a lot.

I'm 5'4" and I walk 6 days a week between 1-2 hrs each trip and find this vest pretty comfortable to wear. Because the weight is evenly distributed it doesn't feel like I'm walking around with an additional 10-lb's (that's nice!). The vest has padded extra wide shoulder straps, but I don't use them much:) After sinching the waste I find I'm so short in the torso that the vest actually rests on my hips and lifts the vest off of my shoulders. This is ok by me since I don't like weight pulling on my shoulders anyway. The dual stomach Velcro waste tabs are nice for making a snug fit, but I have a smaller chest and find it has a tendency to gap and look/feel bulky up top. I wish it had a second set of straps for the chest area. The placement of the weights is nice too (front and back only-none on the sides). I really only have one major complaint...I wish it had an easier way to pull the weights out (little sand bags). This vest has very small slits and it's a pain to remove all the bags when I want to wash the thing. I think a single Velcro flap covering the tops of each row for quick removal would be a huge time saver. All-in-all a good product and I'm glad I bought it.

I love this item! Did a lot of shopping around on the net and in town, and can't beat the price, quality or comfort! Heavy enough to add some weight training to your walk, it's not cumbersome or bulky, doesn't shift around. I'm very happy I got this vest, I could feel a difference, I worked harder to maintain my pace, this is exactly what I was looking for.

I really like this product..i've been using it for walking the bridges and the parks and have just started using it for jogging...and i have seen results already...it's funny too when you take it off it feels like you instantly lost 10 lbs...the only thing is that its kinda bulky so you really can't wear it under clothes, you just have to grin and WEAR it...at first i felt silly but, who cares i'm doing this for me and i feel better already!!

I thought this was a good vest for the money. However, as a small woman, I find that it is a little too large for me. Also, since I am using it in hopes to building bone mass in my spine, I wish some of the weights were higher up on my shoulders. But overall, for most "medium" size people, this is a good value for the money.

Don't think walking is intense enough for you, but running is too intense? Well you can always walk with one of these ten pound vests. This is just super for building up your endurance and believe me, when you're trekking miles away from civilization, carrying everything you need on your back, that endurance you've gained by wearing this vest when you didn't have too really pays off. - Fitness - Fitness Gear - Hard Workout - Gofit'

Amd Phenom - quad core, am3

I decided to take my grad money to the local computer store! After getting suggestions from my fellow computer nerd friends I decided to, among other things, pick up this CPU(AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition AM3 125w) NOT the 145w version.

Just Cause 2 was stable in high resolution settings when outputting to my 40" LCD HDTV in 1360x768. Crysis Warhead runs great on enthusiast(max details) with Anti-Aliasing turned OFF. I'm running the CPU overclocked at 3.85Ghz. Ran Prime95 for 4 hours and it never restarted or hiccuped. When I had it at 3.96 it was not happy and restarted a minute into the stress test. At [...] they got it stable at 3.86. You can go higher but you are taking risks even with a better cooler. I have a Cooler Master hyper 212 Plus.

It runs about 53 degrees at stress. My motherboard (Asus M4A79xtd EVO unlocked all 4 cores)

The CPU seems to handle everything I can throw at it. Video Encoding speeds are decent. A two hour DVD movie ripping to h.264 in 720p will take about 25 to 30 minutes. Sherlock Holmes is a 25gb Blu-Ray disc and it ripped that in roughly 4 hours Full HD movie files are hot. And the file was only 4gb.

My friend has an i7 and I am sure he can encode Blu-Ray faster but at what cost? His i7 core still runs for around $600 and I got this CPU for less than $200!!!

This cpu is a beast, it runs cooler than my previous Athlon XP 5200+ and it can run everything i throw at it, it's fast, powerful and the price is great for what you're getting. I use my computer mainly for gaming, and the 965 improved my framerates a lot (i have one MSI Radeon 5770 Hawk at Stock clocks), and 4GB of DDR2 pc6400 sticks of memory, there isn't a game that i cannot run at max setting with my actual 19" monitor at 1280x1024 res.

Go ahead and buy this outstanding heart to your machine, you'll not regret about it.

I had doubts about this processor living up to its reputation, and I guess I was used to spending more on Intel products over the past few years to expect the same quality from this processor even though several of my other builds ran great on AMD's. I was wrong. The 965 lives on an ASUS M489GTD Pro/USB3 board with 8 gigs of corsair 1600 mhz memory. On initial start up, the processorclocked 3.67 ghz and seemed to to loaf. I gave it some break in time, and tonight clocked to 3.75 ghz with no problem. The most amazing thing to me is the stability of the system (I had read a review that said the 965 was "unstable") and the fact that working temps are under 100 degrees on the Farenheit scale!! I have read of these chips clocking over 4 ghz, but I am happy where I'm at. The balance of my system is an ATI 5770 graphics card, 8 gigs of Corsair 1600mhz memory, a Hitachi 1 Terabyte HDD in an Antec 300 case. I am amazed. Too, Amazon delivered my board and processor within 36 hours of placing a midnight order. Impressive all around!!!

I have recently completed my first system build. This CPU was my choice for my system due to price differences between Intel and AMD. The top of the line Intel processor is at aleast three times more expensive than this AMD processor. I use Adobe Photoshop for photo editing and have found that this processor does all that I expected it to do. I have 8GB of RAM which helps with the editing program. My previous computer had many problems with Photoshop, which I do not experience with this system. I reccomend this CPU mainly for for cost concerns and also it does a great job with my photo editing chores.

I have always loved the innovation and value AMD has shown since it first released their Athlon processor. Since that time they have lead in innovation ahead and more soundly than its' competitors.

I chose to return again to AMD and compared what it does with its' competitors abilities, application and value (cost to performance) and AMD still comes out on top!

This processor is no exception. The core runs fast and the heatsynch is great without the need to going third party. I have not needed to consider overclocking this processor as it works well with the system motherboard AMD 890 chipset that it is seemless in working. - Quad Core - Am3 - Cpu - Amd'
