Hitachi Brad Nailer - brad nailer, brad nailers

This is one of the best tools I have ever had. Operates flawlessly every time. I use Bostich nails/brads because they are easier to find (all sizes up to 2") and the nailer works perfectly. The "height" adjustment is easy. The "jam release" mechanism is great - but the tool has never jammed. Excellent Product! James Willard Hitachi NT50AE2 18-Gauge 5/8-Inch to 2-Inch Brad Nailer

This is by far the best brad nailer I have ever used in my 20 years as a trim carpenter. It is very light weight ,powerfull, and looks great too! Hitachi has always been a pro-quality grade tool and this brad nailer is a great addition to there collection of pro-quality tools.

The one thing that swayed me to this model was definitely a key advantage. With this nailer, the safety slide peg is mounted behind the nail channel, which means you can get nails into tighter spots with this model than you can with others. The Bostich and others have the slide out in front of the nail channel which means the brad comes out about a quarter inch back from the forward-most part of the tool tip. With this Hitachi the brad comes out at the very front, which is very nice when putting nails in tight corners.

This tool is so handy and does such a nice job, I wonder what would ever make me buy a finish nailer. I'm pretty sure this brad nailer would do those jobs for me too.

Three minor disadvantages drop this to a 4-star rating (reallly 4.5), but it's not because I think there's a better one out there, it's just that there's room for improvement.

1. It's not oil-free. Not a big deal but it would be nicer to not have to bother with oil.

2. The lightest (shallowest) nail depth setting is still a little too powerful. With short brads in soft material many were penetrating too deep. It would be nice to be able to go a little shallower by a step or two.

3. The case is compact and handy, but there's no extra space in there to put nails or oil. Luckily they molded a spot for safety glasses (included) which I have emptied out to store my oil and a few brads there instead. I always have safety glasses with me anyway so that space is better used for nailer-specific items. There is extra volume inside there but its molded over in plastic so you can't use it. Again, nobody else seems to do a better job of this, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be improved.

In summary, a great tool. I can't believe I lived so long without it. A brad nailer makes many jobs much easier, allowing me to do things I couldn't do before with just two hands.

The price was more than right. This is an excellent deal. I used Milwaukee brads for it, and no jams so far. It would be nice if it had a better tip on it though. Comparing price and value with other brands, I would buy this one again. Up until 6 months ago I never knew Hitachi made good tools. Hitachi is my preferred brand for pneumatic right now. The only guns I probably wouldnt buy are their framing nailers, only because the PC is so much cheaper and does the job so well. Buy this gun, you can't go wrong. Along with the tip, the thing that really puzzles me is, I can go buy a $20 no name gun kit, and IT INCLUDES OIL IN THE CASE! (not to mention a couple thousand nails) Here I buy a Hitachi, and not a drop. How about including a small bottle of oil guys? The fifty cents it would cost the company would be well worth it to build greater brand loyalty.

I got this brad nailer as a back up to my Stanley Bostitch nailer and it feels more balanced than my Bostitch.

As others have mentioned, the the gun ships in a case without oil! I don't really mind it at all because I have lots of oil lyring around. But for those who are just starting out with pneumatic nailer, you should get some oil before you start firing nails with it.

I like that fact that it has the sequential trip and the bump fire built into the gun at the flip of the switch, a feature that my Bostitch does not have. It sinks nails well and countersinks it to the right depth once adjusted properly. I use combination of Porter Cable as well as Bostitch brand brads and not had a jam or misfire yet. I have test fired it very rapidly (3-4 brads per second) in sequential fire and bump fire mode and also not jammed.

I would have given it 5 stars if not for 2 small things which I found can be improved. The depth of drive adjustment wheel is easier to turn. It's located between the magazine and the nose. Not the easiest to turn if your fingers are not dexterous. My Bostitch had the adjustment wheel located in front of the nose. Secondly, the exhaust swivels 360 with some detents. But I think the exhaust can be improved because it 's only a cheap piece of plastic held in place by a ring groove. Not very easy to adjust the exhaust unlike the bostitch which has the exhaust adjustment incoporated into the top cap.

But overall, it's a well built gun and will buy it again and will recomend to friends if the sale comes around once again. Much better than some POS that is made in cheap china factory with no QC.

I had used a Bostich brad nailer of the same configuration and I found the Hitachi to have a better feel to it; it is lighter and packs a nice punch. There is one feature the Bostich has that I wish the Hitachi had and that is the oiling; the Bostich does not require oiling while the Hitachi does; no big deal, it is just not convenient and easy to feorget.

Pro: Excellent feel and worked flawlessly during two weeks of remodeling. Great on baseboards, moldings, cabinets, etc.. This is the perfect nailer for working around the house. Got this from Amazon for less than $60 with no tax and free shipping. $90 + tax at Lowe's.

Con: The no-mar tip could be better because it made very small dents. No oil included. A bit loud.

Still 5 stars because it's a wonderful tool compared to other nailers I used before. - Nailers - Brad Nailers - Brad Nailer - Nail Gun'

Portable Hard Drive - 32gb, sandisk

This is a great product. I tried a wintec one and it died 2 days later and lost all info on it. Bought this one and its been working great. Its faster than the wintec and I have not had any problems and a good buy from Amazon SanDisk Cruzer - USB flash drive - 32 GB - USB 2.0

I had the SanDisk 8 GB flash drive, but found I needed more space for the various file copies I do for work. This one has met my expectations and I'd easily recommend it to others. It will be nice when the prices on these drives drop to something more reasonable, but it does work and it does work as advertised.

Bought this flash drive based on previous successful experience with a 16 GB and two 8GB units of the same brand and features. The retractor mechanism is reliable. Speed is fine for our purposes (in this case hi-res photo image storage from a camera's memory chip). The SanDisk brand has always performed well for me. Alternatives, though less expensive, have had high reported incidences of early failure. Price at Amazon was reasonable. I had to check several sources on Amazon, as the first one I ordered from cancelled after I ordered it due to an out-of-stock condition. Generally, you get what you pay for. I'm a happy camper.

Needed a USB Flash that I could backup my notebook with and it had to be over 16 gigs. Worked well right from the start on my computer and had no problems doing a system backup using it. I would recommend this product as there's a lot of storage on it for the money.

I have been using this Sandisk for a few months now and I have to say it works great. It was a good price for the size and has good transfer speeds. I have no used any tools to test the transfer speeds but it seems to work roughly the same if not faster than the past 5 USB thumb drives I have had. I love being able to bring all my PDF's and a lot of music with me anywhere.

This is perfect.

Half the price of what it sells for on most other sites.

It was brand new and works perfect.

I have a few other SanDisk Cruzer's, just in lower GB capacity.

This one serves all my needs perfectly.

I was formerly going to buy this product until I found another 32 GB flash drive for $35 from a reputable brand on NewEgg. Now I am very glad I didn't spend $80 for something I got for less than half the price.

I purchased this product because I already own several SanDisk Cruzer flash drives and have been completely satisfied. So I was surprised when the U3 software was not included on this device (I couldn't even set a password). I tried to download the U3 software from the SanDisk website, but was not successful. I wound up returning this item.

Buy one that has U3 factory installed. Not recommended for private files. Do not expect to be able to protect your sensitive files securely with a password. NO WAY!! called San Disk Co. they offered a vault to be installed on it. Very inconvenient and complicated...anyone could wipe your files out. - Sandisk - Usb Flash Drive - 32gb - Cruzer'

Nice Kenneth Cole Pants - expandable waist, nice kenneth cole pants

[review written by my husband]I've looked for pants that fit like this for over a year with no luck. I'm 5'9" and weigh about 165 so slim fitting pants work best for me. I've bought other brands that claim to be 'slim' but they're baggy or the rise is too high. These however are neither. They are truly slim-cut for a neat, crisp look and have a lower rise so I don't look like my pants are pulled up to my chest. What's more the fabric is a nice weight so they drape well and the Navy color is truly a clean solid dark blue. I just bought two pair and love them. If you're looking for a nice pair of slacks for daily work wear, these certainly hit the mark. Perry Ellis Men's Bengaline Modern Fit,Fleet Navy,36x32

Good pants. They aren't baggy in the seat like a lot of dress pants. They hang nice with a nice fabric. I was worried about getting them because they are 77% polyester however they have enough rayon that they look more like a wool pant than polyester This is my second pair. - Expandable Waist - Perfect Pants - Nice Kenneth Cole Pants - Dockers'

Belly Dance Skirts - zumba fitness, belly dance skirt

I love my belly dance hip scarf, it's almost exactly what I wanted. I fits great, beautiful and fun. Only thing I was surprised (not unhappy to never wear it) was the color. On my PC the color looks like a cantaloupe orange and when I opened the package it was neon orange. I wear it to every zumba class. It makes me use my hips and core that much more. Cable Organizer - wire management, cable

I wanted to run the cables in the wall, but decided that would be too much work. This worked out great - when painted, the texture matches the wall perfectly and blends right in. Holds all the chunky cables securely and slides behind the tv and console easily. Perfect fit. A little pricey, but worth it to save the time and effort. OmniMount CMK 4.25 Inch Cable Management Covers -- White

My wife and I wanted to mount a TV in our bedroom and we wanted to hide the wires, so we purchased two CMKs for a 6 foot cable run. I painted the covers and they looked great. I only had to do one coat. My wife didn't want to drill any holes in the wall, so I used the included sticky pads instead of the screws. After the first night all the covers fell off the wall. The sticky tape stayed on the wall and wasn't so easy to peel off, but it did come off with a little work. I ended up using 3M Command 17023P Large Mounting Replacement Strips These strips can hold up to five pounds a piece, fit on the mounting brackets perfectly, and can be removed easily. It has been a few weeks now and the covers are still holding fine. If omnimount supplied 3M strips I would have given 5 stars. Over all though, I am very pleased with the product.

The service was great. It came much sooner than I expected. Now for the product. I bought this set so I wouldn't have to make any more holes in the wall. It sounded easy enough, and they even provide the foamy stick-ons that attach it to the wall. They didn't work. Still, if I choose to screw the covers into the wall (i.e. make more holes), I can. I was hoping that the sections would snap together, but they don't. Still, I am pleased with the way the braces snap into the covers. I have covered them with wallpaper to match my wall. It's the wallpaper that is holding them together. Again, if I choose to make holes in the wall, they will work well enough.

We live in a rental house and can not put our cords in the walls. Our TV is mounted over the fire place and there were multiple cords running along the mantle and down the wall. We hid them all in this and then painted it the same color as the wall so it blends. Looks MUCH better.

As the title says, this product does its job, covering the cables. It paints very easily and blends reasonably well into the wall. It is pretty large (4") so you can definitely see it, but when you have lots of cables to hide, it has to be that way. The only real complaint I have is in the installation. It comes with double sided tape/foam that theoretically should allow you just to stick it onto the wall. I tried this and it was easy to install, but within 15 minutes the tape had peeled off and the covers were just hanging off the wall. Thus, I had to go with the screw and anchor installation. The product came with some, but they were so incredibly long and large that I just used some other smaller ones I had around the house. Its only supporting 1-2 pounds so I have no idea why it would come with such big screws.

I mounted my 42 Plasma on the wall in the bedroom because I was tired of looking at it on an old TV stand that was too short. The 4 Inch cover were easy to install and the cable tracks are large enough to hide 1 coax, 2 HDMI, 2 Power cords and RCA wire with plenty of room. There was enough room for me to loop the extra slack behind the cable covers. I tried to use the sticky back tape and this did not work at all. The tape was not strong enough to stay secure on the wall for the amount of wires I was trying to hide. The supplied screws seemed too long, so I used shorter screws left over from another project. I did not need all four pieces for this project, I used the left over pieces to hide the wires in my son's room wall mounted LCD. My friends want me to help them mount their TVs the same way because they like to clean look of the mount/cable covers.

The Omnimount 4-inch works great. I am very happy with it and even bought another one. It looks really good and is very wide which is exactly what I needed. I am running a very thick HDMI cable, coax, cat-5, power, and rca from my equipment up to my TV. Because of a fireplace, everything had to go up and then over and this worked perfectly. The stick/screw in modules the covers stick to have 3 slots for cables so I could keep the power away from the video cables to reduce interference.

Only con, the double sided tape is not the strongest I have used. Be sure it is in the right place the first time because if you have to remove it and reposition, you might as well just go ahead and get another piece.

This was just the thing to cover up all those cords when I wall-mounted my flatscreen. It looks great and covered up all those cords - for the Wii, the dvd player, cable box, surround sound, tuner... I plan to screw it into the wall, but used the sticky pads "for now" while I got everything just so. Well, contrary to some other reviews, the pads held VERY well for me, so I haven't actually used the screws yet. The cover 'snaps' onto the wall-mounted guides, and even though I forcefully snapped and unsnapped the covers a few times getting things just right the tape pads are still holding firmly. I guess I may not need to screw them in after all.

When guests come over they comment on how great the tv looks and ask where I got the cover for the cords. I'm always happy to point them to this product! - Wire Concealer - Wire Management - Wire Organizer - Cable'

Cycling

I'm sure it depends on the bike you're using this on. But for me personally, I still get spray on the back of my jacket. Undoubtedly less than I would without this, but don't expect this product to keep you entirely clean and dry. For the price, it is definitely an improvement over having nothing. Bell Mudstopper Rear Bicycle Fender

I really value the functional aspect of this fender as the roads are very often very wet. The only problem I had with it is that the mounting clamp wasn't big enough with it's rubber friction strip to accomodate the frame on my new Schwinn bike, but I abandoned the rubber strip, and resorted to a few drops of super glue, and it was a snug fit, but it is mounted and doesn't slip. It is a great product at a good price...highly recommended.'

Easy To Use - mini tripod, travel tripod

HOW BIG IS YOUR CAMERA? This is a great product, but if you buy one that's too weak to hold your camera's weight, you're going to be disappointed. The GP1 will hold up to 9.7 oz- basically your average small point-and-click digital camera only- think Elph. The GP2 will hold up to 1.75 lbs -smaller/lighter SLR cameras with short lenses only. The GP3 will hold up to 6.6 lbs and has a slightly larger camera attach point, similar to larger tripods -good for SLRs and smaller camcorders. Unless you want to spend 10-15 minutes fighting the gorilla to hold your camera without sagging (and forget about portrait/sideways shots), make sure you buy one that can support the weight! Otherwise it's tough to beat the versatility, reliability, and small size/weight of this tripod. From what I've seen of other reviews, you'll be disappointed with cheaper imitations as well. Joby GP1 Gorillapod Flexible Tripod (Red)

Fantastic product. We bought this while looking for one of those mini tripods that you can velcro to another object and found this to be much better. The grip is strong and most situations can be accommodated. It's a little pricey, but well made so very much worth the cost. Older, heavier cameras may tend to overwhelm it in some positions, but for the most part, it works great. If nothing else, it replicates a "traditional" tripod well, and the added bending and gripping feature really makes the difference. I no longer have to balance the camera on the hood of the car with sticks and rocks to get a good photo of us during our travels. Everywhere we go, somebody stops us to ask where to get one... it's quite a spectacle.

I ordered an extra shoe so we can transfer the gorillapod from her camera to mine. If you're in the market for a new camera, try and get one with the tripod mounting shoe somewhat centrally located on the bottom of the camera. My fiance's camera has the tripod mount on one side so the camera wants to lean to the other side. Fortunately, the gorillapod is strong enough to resist this.

I still can't believe that this thing is real! And I'm blown away by the quality of the tripod.

The 'legs' are stiff enought that it doesn't fall out of shape as it holds the camera. Each little grey ring around the ball-like pieces are rubberized to help it grip onto objects. I have been able to mount my Canon SD600 and hold one 'foot' of the tripod while it remains in the shape I bent it into. The leg didn't change shape or sag at all.

I've had it on top of my LCD, hung it from a doorway, sitting on top of a lamp... I think the legs are long enough and the feet are 'grippy' enough to mount it to the side of a bowling ball!

The clip on top lets you mount and dismount the camera quite easily and without hassle. The only problem I could see is that with the mounting clip attached to the camera I can't put the camera in the fitted Canon carrying case that I have for the SD600. Well, it fits with it on, but very snug.

I can't stress how much I love this little tripod!! Get one; you won't be disappointed!

As long as you don't expect the world of the Gorillapod, it won't disappoint. I've had a slew of small tripods for years (to match my succession of digital cameras; I'm tough to please). My Ultrapod II is good, sturdy and stable, but often not as versatile as this. I'll still keep that one around, though, especially after I got the quick-release head for it. For me, a quick-release shoe is a very big plus. My full-size tripods have always had this feature, but I've never been able to find it on the minis until the Gorillapod. It's extremely useful. No more struggling with screwing the tripod in when you need to take that quick picture, desperately trying to keep from cross-threading and stripping the plastic mounting threads common on today's cameras. The Gorillapod snaps onto the camera in about three seconds. This won't hold my camera as still as my 4-pound tripods, but it's a heck of a lot lighter and easier to carry with me all the time. While Joby lists the maximum weight capacity as 12 ounces, my camera still works fine despite being a couple of ounces over that. If there's one thing I don't really like, it's that it does take a bit of fiddling to straighten out the legs after use. But if you're not obsessively neat, you probably won't mind some slightly crooked legs. If you really want a bit more stability, see the Gorillapod SLR. A quarter pound heavier and twice the price, but when you need it, sometimes you need to bite the bullet. Or get the Ultrapod II if having superflexible legs isn't of paramount importance. That's a couple of ounces heavier still compared with the Gorillapod SLR, but its rigid construction and Velcro strap make it more secure in iffy conditions.

I own a Canon PowerShot A550. The Gorillapod screws into the camera securely. The downside is that on the Canon (and Sony Cybershot DSC also) the screw is not in the center of the camera, but off to the left (if looking at the back of the camera). This off-set causes the camera to "slump" to the right because it's off-balance. To make matters worse, the button to take the photo is on the right, so if you get the camera to balance on the Gorillapod, you still have to press the button to take the photo, which causes the camera to slump then to the right.

The 2 ball-like connectors that connect the camera to the 3 legs on the Gorillapod don't seem to have enough resistance to keep a small camera like the Canon in place.

My mother-in-law has a Sony Cybershot DSC which is small enough and light enough to not slump, so she will probably be getting the Gorillapod to use with her camera.

I love the idea and was excited to get it and try it out. Doesn't work for me like I expected and my point and shoot isn't big at all. I would have thought the design would have taken into consideration that the point and shoot cameras don't always have the screw hole in the middle of the camera. - Travel Tripod - Digital Camera - Mini Tripod - Camera Accessories'

Maya Rudolph - luke wilson, idiocracy

If you hated this movie you either didn't get it or were one of the people that the opening narration talks about. This film is a scathing satire about the culture that is breeding things like Paris Hilton, Jerry Springer, and Girls Gone Wild and taking a look at where the United States could be if that culture continues to grow unchecked. The Result is a movie that while not as funny as Office Space, offers a humorous although somewhat frightening look at our society and pop culture. I think this movie is one of those films that will eventually become a cult favorite and generate an even larger following that Office Space has. If you are troubled by your little niece's obsession with being like Paris Hilton or are dismayed by what passes for entertainment these days then you need to see this movie. Idiocracy

Idiocracy, meaning rule of the stupid, is a dystopian film from Director Mike Judge (Office Space) that cost about $30 million to make but only made about half a million dollars because the film's distributor wanted nothing to do with promoting the film. There were no advertisements, no trailers, and the film was eventually released on just 130 screens in a limited amount of American cities. The film is written by successful veterans, stars some solid talent, and the CGI effects and art direction were likely not inexpensive. Unlike most films that a distributor ignores, Idiocracy was well-received by critics and I will echo here that it is indeed a very good satire. The distributor was of course Fox and they were likely embarrassed to release a film that does what any good dystopian tale does, and that is strongly denounce the self-destructive culture we currently live in and continue to facilitate.

Joe Bauers (Luke Wilson) is the military's most average soldier. He is literally tested to be of average intelligence, health, etc. Rita (Maya Rudolph) is a prostitute who is seemingly always fearful of her pimp Upgraydd. They are both selected as guinea pigs for a classified program that aims to place them in hibernation for one year. They are put into coffin-like chambers and forgotten about after the program dissolves. They are left there for 500 years until they awaken after their chambers are forced open by the great garbage avalanche of 2505. The setting they exist in is a low-intelligence society influenced by dysgenics, cultural and moral devolution, and powerful corporate influence and consumerism. Starbucks and Costco have basically become brothels. Crops are fed with Gatorade because of, you know, the electrolytes. Doctors diagnose people as "tarded". The president is an alpha-male nationalist and former professional wrestler/porn star. A museum shows that Charlie Chaplin was leader of the Nazi party who fought using dinosaurs in their army but was eventually "Un-Nazied" by the "Un" (the United Nations). There are some more vulgar and hilarious ways in which corporations evolve to satisfy the ever decreasing intelligence of our society that I'd like to mention but can't. Finally, average soldier Joe Bauer is tested to be the most intelligent human being on Earth in 2505 and the rest of the story centers on his development in this environment. There are also some really interesting supporting roles from Thomas Haden Church and Justin Long, among others.

There are a few production flaws and at times some clunky dialogue, but really those are just nitpickings. Idiocracy is at times absolutely hilarious and it manages to make its point throughout. I think with many dystopian films people get offended by the societal criticism. However, I was encouraged by the truth within the satire here and enjoyed the film tremendously. If you find yourself angry just reading the movie summary in this review then I wouldn't necessarily recommend watching Idiocracy.

The way Fox handled this film is destined to become the stuff of legends, and itself should be sufficient reason to see it. Its release was delayed for years, the effects budget was cut drastically, it was never screened for critics and when it WAS released, it opened in a grand total of 130 theaters nationwide, and yanked very quickly after that.

There's enough discussion of the plot here, so I'll skip that. It owes an obvious debt to Kornbluth's "The Marching Morons", and that, too, is enough reason to see it. It is definitely one of the most bitter, cynical, and bleak movies I can recall viewing, and it has far more depth than a superficial look would convey. (I found myself hitting the "pause" button frequently - there's a LOT of details to check out.) The anti-corporate slams are fast and furious, and the scene of people playing the slots hoping for medical care is priceless. Those who complain that "it's dumb" obviously just don't get the point. (Maybe it's too much Fox News?)

Unfortunately, it loses energy in the second half with the contrived "romance". And in spite of what the case says, it is full-screen only. (The case claims it's widescreen, and double-sided.) It could have used some better effects and post-production work, but the studio wouldn't have it. A commentary would have really been welcome, too. What we have, then, is a flawed masterpiece, certainly a future cult film, and maybe, just maybe, one day Mike Judge will get to "finish" it *his* way. I know I'll be hoping.

As a high school teacher, I saw this movie and was convinced that Mike Judge had secretly studied my students. He is DEAD ON about where the up-and-coming generation is headed, and it's so funny it hurts. This film is way ahead of its time in its cultural commentary, which is why it still hasn't received the promotion or praise that it rightly deserves. Then again, that's the problem with satire as a genre--the message is lost on the people who need to hear it most.

If you appreciate Office Space or King of the Hill, you'll love what Judge is up to here. It's refreshing to know that someone in Hollywood is ballsy enough to blast corporate America for its hand in creating a culture that is too stuid to recognize its own bleak future. It's also a little sad to realize that if you "get" this movie, you're already part of a dying breed. - Mike Judge - Satire - Idiocracy - Luke Wilson'

Handheld Showerheads

For some reason, a great average showerhead is hard to find nowadays. I'm picky on showerheads; I like them strong, simple, easy and CHEAP! This one has it all. It took minutes to install, changing the setting with soapy wet hands is easy, the handle is anti-slip and best of all, the pressure is great. My old shower head only had strong pressure if I turned my faucet on to the max, thus emptying my hot water tank every time I'd wash/rince my hair (which is pretty thick). With this one, I get plenty of pressure and keep my hot water. It's also decently light. Please note though that it's a 5-star AVERAGE showerhead. It's what a TYPICAL showerhead should be. If you're looking for EXTRA pressure or EXTRA massage, then specialty items that cost a bit more might be for you. Delta Faucet 75700 Seven-Spray Hand Shower, Chrome

You get what you pay for. At under $30 this is a great showerhead for a great price. I purchased it during a bathroom renovation for my guest bath. It has received nothing but praise from those that have used it. Was very easy to install. Yes, there are plastic pieces, but go ahead and hand tighten them, they won't break or leak if you give it a good, tight turn. It is a durable product. I have no leaks whatsoever. Good water flow on any setting. And it looks sharp with a modern, sleek design.

UPDATE - sad to say one year later I had to replace this shower head because if starting leaking water from the plastic connection connecting the head to the tube. I took it apart, cleaned it well, reassembled tightly and still kept leaking. So, my first line above "You get what you pay for" is definitely applicable here.

After buying this product from Home Depot, I saw it here on Amazon for ten dollars less. Shoulda looked here first.

The Delta 75700 us a breeze to install, requiring no tools and little time. It has seven spray settings, but I don't think many people need or will use that many. A couple of the settings actually have very good flow so I've mostly settled on those two. The trickle setting is nice if you can remember how to get back to where you were. I prefer those models that have a separate control for this "trickle" setting, at the base of the handle for example.

I chose a showerhead with a six foot hose so I could more easily wash the dogs in my shower. For daily use, however, the extra long hose can be cumbersome and hard to maneuver. Unless you need the six-foot hose, the five-foot hose found on most models should suffice.

So far I've been pleased with my choice of this Delta model. It did spring a leak in the mounting hardware during my second shower and drenched the bathroom. I uninstalled, tightened, and reinstalled and have had no problems since then.

This is a decent choice in a handheld shower unit, with good looks, easy installation, and pretty good water pressure. You might also want to look at the WaterPik choices.

We were looking for a handheld showerhead to replace our fixed showerhead to make it easier to bath our daughter. We chose this showerhead because it got decent reviews and had a long hose.

Unfortunately, it didn't work out. The pressure was much worse than our old showerhead. Even after I removed all the parts that appeared to be trying to save water. Then after only a few weeks the little nub that you push to rotate the showerhead (to a new setting) broke off when the unit fell into the tub. You might think that a handheld with a particularly long hose should be a bit more immune to that kind of thing. Then I sliced my finger open pretty deep trying to use the jagged nub to twist the showerhead.

Today we switched back to our Speakman Anystream which is awesome by the way, even with the slightly weak pressure coming into our home.

My nearly twenty year old water-pic sprung a leak, so we purchased this to replace it. The lack of water pressure makes it useless for removing shampoo from my hair. My husband doesn't feel that it washes away soap adequately either. I would not recommend this product. We're returning ours and will continue to search for an acceptable shower head.

This is a pretty good handheld showerhead.

Pros: It looks good, 7 settings, not too big

Cons: hose is really long so it bangs around a lot and cannot hang, has a bit of a plasticky smell when you first start the water

Great addition to our shower... in the fixed position, the water jet is higher up so taller people don't have to do acrobatics to wash their hair. The position is adjustable too. The longer 6' hose enables easier body rinsing and general tub and tile clean-up. We have great water pressure up here and unfortunately this gadget lowers the pressure a bit, so no real massage: the only drawback on this great little versatile shower-head.

Can you operate a pair of pliers? Can you keep 'The Green Police' out of your bathroom? Are you a scofflaw?

If you answered 'yes', and depending on your water pressure, you might be able to come close to the power and joy of Kramer's black-market shower head seen is season 7 of Seinfeld.

[...]

The much-hated low-flow device is located in the base of the handle...it's appropriately colored green. If you so choose, grab that sucker with a pair of smallish pliers and jerk it out like a rotten molar!

Complete the assembly and VOILA! You may feel like you've been transported back to the mid-twentieth century when the shower control actually did something and you only had to flush a toilet ONCE.

And "Yes Virgina"...you can turn this sucker UP!

Be advised would-be scofflaw, The Green Police are out-there.

[...]

I'm not encouraging law-breaking, check your local laws and do as you choose...and of course I reinstalled the flow-control after reviewing the capabilities as modified. (wink?)'

Adjustable Ankle Weights - adjustable ankle weights, exercise

I used to have ankle weights with iron bars in them, the iron bars hurt my ankles and so when they wore out I got Valeo Adjustable Ankle/Wrist Weights, 20 lb. Combined Weight, Pair.

They wore out in 14 months.

I just got these weights, so it's an initial impression, but:

1. Easier to put on and take off with a single buckle instead of the dual D-rings of the Valeo weights.

2. Coarser nylon material than the Valeo weights. Hope it will last longer. The extra friction helps prevent sliding, though not quite as comfortable against the skin. (Not slipping much more important than the feel against the skin, I think.

3. For whatever reason, the Valeo weights pressed against my malleoli (bumps on the inside and outside of the ankle) and after an hour or two the pressure there was quite uncomfortable. I'm not getting that with these weights. Altus Athletic 20-Pound Standard Ankle / Wrist Weights

These weights work well for leg extensions and other stationary exercises, but they would not stay put well enough for walking or running. I like the fact that they are adjustable up to 10 lb per weight.

First let me say these ankle/wrist weights are nice. The construction seems to be pretty good. The weights are sand bags, and the platic is thick, so you shouldn't have any leak issues unless you're throwing the weights around haphazardly.

So, what cost them the star? They're loose with low weight. Let me explain. I decided to start out with just two pounds (one bag). I'm a skinny guy. Even with the straps pulled as far they can go, there was still a lot of play. I'm using them for leg lifts, so it's not an issue for me, but it would be rather annoying if you were using them while running. Now, as you add weights, they take up the slack. With eight or ten pounds (four or five bags) in these, they are fine. Just something to keep in mind if you're looking to start out with low weight and do things involving a lot of movement.

The picture on the box and displayed on Amazon makes these looks much slimmer and shorter than they actually are. In reality, these go almost all the way to my elbow (I'm a man, and my arms aren't short by any stretch) and they bulk out a fair distance from your arm. Someone else noted that these were kind of loose, but I didn't heed his warning because he added the modifier "for a skinny guy". I weight train quite frequently (I bought these to go with a 40lbs weight vest) and my arms aren't skinny by any means. Even though my arms are plenty large, these weights will not stay on my wrists during exercises that require movement. At the same time that these are a little bit too large for my wrists, they are a little too small for my ankles. They'll stay on, but they are so tight that it is difficult to jog with them. As for the build quality, it seems fine, and I can't imagine this thing coming apart any time soon (it is sand bags inside what I'd imagine is nylon fabric, with velcro straps. I don't detect any sand leakage, and the bags fit inside the straps securely)

I'd send these back, but they do have their function as weights to be used in stationary exercises. This means leg lifts, arm curls, etc. All things considered, I think the weighted vests are a better buy for anyone that is serious about training with weights. While they are more expensive, they stay on much more securely, and working out with them on is much easier. If nothing else, I can throw these weights in a backpack and add twenty pounds to the forty in the vest whenever forty becomes too little weight for me.

These came exactly as expected, heavy. Each one is an adjustable up to 10 Lbs of weight. The ONLY draw back on this one that kept it from being a 5 stars is the fact that it doesn't fit on your arms "properly" unless your arms are as thick as your legs. It doesn't slide too much but it's enough to be a slight bother.

I needed a set of ankle weights that were adjustable so I could gradually move up over the 10 lb pair for certain exercises. These really fit the bill and are well made. The fit is a little big with only 6lbs on each leg to start with, but not so big that sliding around is a problem. I would certainly recommend them!

These are the first wrist/ankle weights I have purchased in about 15 years. I wanted something easy and rugged to use. Why buy it, if it is just going to fall apart right away. I was pretty happy with the ease of adjustment where the sandbags are concerned. I started out with about four pounds and worked my way up to the full ten in about three weeks.

I use them to build arm strength. They wrap around the wrist comfortably and stay put. I did not have them sliding down the arms. the Velcro seems pretty heavy duty and doesn't seem to be wearing down much ( I use these daily) from the use they get.

As far as toughness in materials, they stand up to my obnoxious cat who likes to claw everything. I haven't had a leaking sand bag yet! The outer wrap material is doing fine as well.

As these have worked out pretty well I may actually buy another set for the ankles or to strap together on the current pair to add more weight. I have done this with the current pair. the straps seem to support the full twenty pounds with no trouble.

for the price they are an excellent product

I had a pair of ankle weights (5 lb each) I got from Wal-Mart about a year ago ... they were not well made with only 1 strap to wrap around the ankle and it was not a durable material. They were always sliding and moving and I also developed a leak.

Thus, I began my search for a high quality 10 lb per ankly weight system and these looked to be much better quality and felt like much better quality upon initial inspection. However, the stiching on one strap on one leg gave way the first day I used them. Thinking about it, it would seem this could be a recurring problem since 10 lb each ankle is a pretty good amount that could stress stiching.

I returned them yesterday and will continue my search for a very well made 10 lb per ankle weight. Perhaps I just got a lemon. - Exercise - Fitness - Wrist Weights - Adjustable Ankle Weights'

Cordless - cordless, impact driver

After charging the batteries the impact wrench appeared to work well as I played with it for a few minutes. But during my first real task, it worked well for only about five minutes before just stopping. When I pull the trigger, the LED would still light up, but the nothing would spin at all. I tried the other battery and I tried turning the shaft by hand to try to help 'jump-start' the wrench, but to no avail. The item is currently being returned and I'm awaiting a refund. My other dewalt worked well and I thinking this is not a frequent issue (hence the 3 rating). The motor did make an electrical smell. At first I thought it was because the motor was new, but perhaps the smell was indicating a bigger problem. DEWALT DC820KA 18-Volt 1/2-Inch Compact Impact Wrench

This is an awesome power packed drill. This will hammer any lag bolt you want home. Ergonomically constructed and has little operator fatigue, as a matter of fact it will outlast the person operating it.

I have only had this unit a short time, but it is a real time saver. It is also light weight which makes it very ergonomic. It will replace my pneumatic impact wrench & air hose whenever possible

I have 2 other Dewalt 18 volt tools and have had good success with them.

It would be nice to have a torque adjustment - but overall a great addition to my tool selection.

I recommend it.

I was introduced to this tool at work. I worked on an assembly line, building heavy mobile equipment. I saw how powerful and dependable this item was, so naturally I had to have one. Mine will last forever because the ones at work lasted a long time under constant 6 days a week work! It will do anything I need to do in my shop at home. I highly recommend this product.

Sometimes big surprises come in small packages. This holds true for the de walt impact. Used it to replace the carrier bearing on the drive shaft of my big rig, and it was way impressive. No more need to use ratchet by hand anymore with this baby. Hits pretty hard for a battery powered impact that weighs less than it's air operated counterpart, but without the air hose getting in your way. Thumbs Up.

I purchase these for my service and construction crews. My service guys like them for thier power and compact size, and the addition of the light has helped alot and gotten great reviews from everyone. My constuction crews love them because they have more than enough power for what they need and they are so compact and light compared to what we started with, even better than the 057's. They can use them all day long and not have the fatigue issues and complaints. Cople that with the new batteries and its even better. We've even used them to change flat tires on our vehicles. Lots of power in a little package! - Cordless - Impact Drivers - Impact Driver'
