Mini Tripod - mini tripod, camera accessories

This is a really good product. We got it so we can take pictures when we are out and do not want to carry the big tripod. I was not expecting much since it is small, but it really works well.

The best feature is the swivel top. It can really move around well. It works best with a small camera, but standing upright, the tripod works just as well with our digital SLR. Pocket Size Mini Tripod Stand for Canon Sony Nikon Digital Camera

Swimming Snorkel - freestyle, swimming snorkel

this snorkel is wonderful.I can now extend the length of my workout. Without this device I could swim laps for about 30 min straight, but slowly so that I can keep up with my breath. Now I am able to work out for an hour straight and with speed.I love it.....I guess the only drawback is that after awhile it does tend to hurt a little on the forehead, but i just deal with it.... FINIS Freestyle Snorkel

Several years ago I had a bulging disk in my neck that impinged a nerve, which cause arm pain. I had to stop swimming and working out altogether for a year or more (before this I was doing triathlons). When I recovered, I wanted to continue swimming to stay in shape, but turning my head to breathe tended to aggravate my neck. So I got this snorkel. After my first session with it I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to get used to it. I was anxious because I felt like I couldn't get enough air and once I choked on water that was trapped in it when I inhaled. But what are you going to do? Most of us who swim recreationlly do it because it makes us feel good both physically and mentally, and so I didn't want to give up. The next session I knew what to expect and so I was mentally prepared for it. I started by just putting my head under water and slowly inhaling and exhaling, telling myself there was nothing to panic over and there was no rush. Then I did a few slow laps of breast stroke and then some slow laps of free style.

Long story short: It took four sessions to really get comfortable with it, but now I love it for a bunch of reasons. First, I can swim with no neck pain. Two, I can swim longer than before and get a great workout. Three, swimming is now more relaxing. It's kind of like doing yoga underwater when you don't have to think about breathing so it's a great stress reliever. Four, you can work on kicking without even using a board. I just scull with my arms in front of me, like Superman. And five, chlorine in my pool really bothered my sinuses before, I guess because I tended to inhale through my nose. With the snorkel, I have noticed that I don't have nearly the sinus problems.

The snorkel comes up across the midline of the face and is independent of the mask. I is better positioned for exercise swimming than one that hangs on the right side of the mask. I found it very difficult to get the right-sided mask to be comfortable. They always pulled at my mouth. This snorkel does not have an outlet which is a plus/minus situation. The valve on the outlets were always the first part to break and let in water requiring you to get a replacement snorkel. However, without the outlet, water does get into the mouthpiece (especially when there are waves in the pool) and has to be emptied every few laps or you get water-boarded. It helps to position your head higher in the water than you would with a regular snorkel, more like a regular crawl stroke than like snorkeling. This takes some practice and muscle strength, but like anything that demands more effort, is probably good for you.

I swim recreationally as I truly enjoy the full body workout. But, the extra neck action and cadence timing to breath is a factor in the speed in which I am able swim and the amount of swimming I am able to accomplish in the time allotted for my workout. This snorkel allows me to concentrate on my body (correct arm action and kicking out of the hips etc) during my swimming sessions and makes breathing effortless. I can really dig and get much more workout per minute then without. I go at a much quicker pace until my body begs me to stop instead of taking a rest period because Im unable to catch my breath. The only draw back was the first session or two learning to not breath at all through the nose (the recommendation to wear a nose clip might be important to some who try this for the first time) which was no worse than a slight discomfort until I exhaled stongly through my nose to clear which I am very used to now. And it looks a little silly but is always a topic of conversation with fellow swimmers who I have noticed are beginning to show up at the pool with them!

I was never a competitive swimmer, but now regularly swim freestyle laps in a pool for exercise. I don't rotary breathe, so the repetitive turning to one side only was causing me hip problems. This snorkle completely eliminates the need to rotate head or hips, allowing me to focus on exercising arms, torso and legs. I feel like I'm now getting a much better workout. The manufacturers states you may need to use nose plugs, but I don't and that's not been a problem at all. There's no purge valve so any water in the tube needs to be blown out, hard, which adds to the workout. I'd recommend this version to anyone who swimming laps for exercise, and likes to alternative focus on exercising arms and legs during the workout. - Freestyle - Swimming Snorkel - Swimming - Swim Gear'

Audio-video Shelving - home theater wall mount, wall mounted

I was initially excited about this product. It seemed to be the best 3 shelf wall mount system; it's not. Though I've not found an alternative yet, I'm looking. The reason behind my disappointment is that the shelves are unrealistically shallow. One needs to consider that the depth of each shelf is shortened when one considered the cables that have to come out of the back of the receiver. For example, an HDMI cable is a high end thick cableand it needs about 1.5" of rear room to be plugged in and bent down or toward it's souce. If you use good speaker cables like Monster, the same holds true, so one looses shelf depth because the distance that the cables use coming out of the back of a receiver wasn't properly accounted for. Perhaps for a home theater in a box it would work fine, but for anyone who has a regular receiver, forget it! Even my DVD player barely fit on it! With home theaters evolving quickly, the consumer needs a true multi shelf wall mount system that accomodates a regular receiver, DVD player & cable/SAT box, as well as a center channel shelf. Well, that and a couple of bucks will get you on the New York subway... OmniMount TRIAP Adjustable 3 Shelf Wall System w/ Cable Management

My biggest complaint would be that there is hardly enough room to hide the wires in the channel strip.I only have a hi-def cable box and typical run of the mill 'Sony theater in a box',so my cables were minimal but it was still tight .The shelves are a little shallow as well.I first saw these at circuit city for $199 and the pic on the box really sold me .Looks very clean and neat .Once I saw amazon had it for $125 I jumped on it .I have a 50" plasma mounted on the wall and was able to make it work by hiding some of the wires with accessories(dvd storage bins etc.) and tucking some up behind the TV .I was on a budget so this fit the bill, there's not a whole lot of options in this price range, but in hindsight I should have spent a little more money and searched out more options .good luck .

I needed something stylish but strong to go with a wall-mounted flat panel TV and this fit the bill perfectly. Installation was a snap as the wall stud was centered behind the TV, and I had installed the whole thing in less than 15 mins. What I don't like are the cable covers - they're OK if you only have 2-3 sets of cables and the shelves are distanced enough to give you room to install the covers. If you're like me and you have AV equipment with multiple cable connections, then there's no way those cables will fit in the space allotted for the covers to snap into place. The only thing I could do was zip-tie the cables, then place the covers between the shelf support and the cables - the pressure from the cable bunch held the cover in place - trying to snap it into place would be impossible. Overall though, an excellent unit. Highly recommend.

I ordered this 3-shelf unit to hold all the peripherals of a new wall mounted TV. The product is attractive, the shelves are glass, the perpendicular wide bars (which the wires hide under) are silver. My complaint is that we are unable to keep the wires hidden under these flimsy bars. They are too small, too plastic, not flexible, difficult to align with each other, and seem to come apart with the slightest movement of anything connected to the wires they are supposed to hide. Good concept, attractive look, bad execution.

The TRIA system per specs is not for someone who has heavy AV gear as each shelf is rated at 30 Lbs Our Yamaha receiver weighs in at high 20's and the shelf is adequate without any cause for concern. The system does do a very good job for those of us with just a few components in the system. The wiring covers are a little frustrating at first but once you figure out a couple tricks they are workable. Only system specs to check closely for your application is the shelf weight rating, and the shelf depth. The wiring cover takes about 1" of depth in the middle, Luckily for me the cover lines up with unused inputs on my receiver or I would have needed a bunch of right angle patch cords to keep the receivers front feet on the glass shelf.

Wire management tricks for this system:

Don't plan on just tucking the wires behind the covers. Install on the wall and set the shelves where you will want them and test fit your components. Once you have the shelves placed remove all your componets and start running the wires with just enough length sticking out at each shelf to allow you to plug them in to each device; keep the wire bundles tidy and "inline" as any weaving of the wires makes the bundle fatter. Bundle the wires with wire ties, or similar products. I personally recommend "spiral wrap" sold at radio shack (or at amazon) as it is easy to install, and is easily removable but still holds the bundle secure. Just use a couple inches every foot or so to keep it tidy.

Once you have your 2 bundles together (one on each side) I suggest you then determine where your cover pieces are going to go. The clips that the covers snap onto can be installed anywhere there isn't a shelf bracket. If possible try to install the clips near the end of each piece so the seams line up closely and firmly. The plastic channels on the back of the covers can be cut on the back to allow you to take wires across to the other side, you just need to ensure that a mounting clip won't be nearby. Likewise if you are taking a bunch of cables out the side at any given shelf, there is some plastic on the back of the cover that you can cut out to make that easier as well, all of this cutting on the back wont be visible when installed.

We are happy with the finished result, our main objective was to get our components up out of reach of our button infatuated two year old boy as he was constantly poking at the receiver and PS3. I would say to expect installation time with all the wire management involved and such to be around 3 hours to take your time and do it right.

Word of caution - Ominimount would not sell me an additional shelf, as they said the system is only rated for 100 pounds and a 4th shelf would allow the user to exceed the systems rating (much like putting more than 30 on a 30 pound rated shelf that they give you). So three shelves is it, but there would be nothing stopping you from installing more if you could get a hold of them. If the unit is stud mounted with good hardware I don't see where exceeding 100 Pounds would be an issue.

I was fortunate that our DVR was shallow enough on the shelf that I could put a small power strip behind it and only run one power cord up to the bottom shelf. The plasma and other devices then get to this strip which is on the back of the bottom shelf, hidden out of view by the DVR. - Home Theater Wall Mount - Wall Mounted - Audio-video Shelving - Glass Tv Component Shelf'

Back Brace - back pain, back support brace

As someone who has had multiple spine surgeries, I needed to find a truly supportive lumbar brace. In the past, I always found them too small, or not truly supportive. I stumbled upon this one and gave it a try. I am very happy I did. As soon as you put it on, you truly feel like you are secure in the lumbar area. It has two layers of wide straps, so you can adjust how tight you want to make it. This product is sturdy, but is also heavier than most others. It is perfect for me, a large 30-something man that needs a sturdy brace. That said, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this back brace. Mueller Adjustable Lumbar Back Brace, Black, Extended, 1-Count Package

Number One, I suppose, is that I got the largest size and it fits. I didn't want to get something that would be too small. The XXXL is actually so large I have to close it up almost all the way (and I was a hefty 335lbs when I started using this). Next, it has an extra set of belt straps that you wrap around again, this allows making it real snug and feels fit and solid. Appears very well made. Heavy duty. And just what I needed on a campaign to get moving, walking and even some serious exercising again. Um...so comfortable that I even use it if going to sit at typing chair for long time.

The brace works well, is durable and well made. Just Make sure you see that this is the 'extended' version. It's huge! I didn't realize the minimum on this thing is 50"

Wish I could tighten it up further.

I actually have never been diagnosed with back problems. I was working a 24 hr shift in the medical field. This brace gave me enough support, that I was comfortable for the entire time. I'm not saying my feet didn't hurt...but my back was comfortable!

This particular brace has the removable lumbar pad, which I found uncomfortable and had to remove. This is my 3rd brace, and they swapped the product selection at the store, so I had to buy this one, as it was the only one available.

This brace rolls down on the top (bad design), so it doesn't support as much as you think it would. This rolling down happened almost immediately, unlike the last Mueller brace that I had. The reason I was replacing the last brace was because the top kept rolling down, and the brace didn't give me much support.

Unless you want or like the lumbar pad, then go for the cheaper model of this brace (about $17) without the pad. It supports just as well as this one does, for a fraction of the price.

This brace will make you sweat when worn next to the skin.

However, I found the wider (10-11 inches) medical braces to be a better choice, as they cover more of the back area.

I had been having severe back pain due to a degenative disk condition and since we had been moving boxes and furniture I know that caused the pain. I did see my doctor for this, but he recommended OTC pain relievers, and pain reliever creams along with back strengthing exercizes I had used previously. It all helped, but I did not get full relief from medication for any length of time.

Sizing was limited in local stores and I wanted this extended size so that I could pull more of the straps around me for more support. It definitely helped my back feel more stable, Helped relieve the incapitating pain I was experiencing on a daily basis. Wear this over clothing. Easy to put on by myself. Use it doing yard work or lifting, standing or walking for a long time.

Feels comfortable,(does get warm if you are wearing it for an extended period of time. When it does, I remove it it for a while, then put it back on). Great service. Quick delivery. Great not to have to go store to store looking for the extended size especially since riding in the car was also painful. Thanks Amazon for carrying this product. I would definitely recommend using this back brace.

I am 6'5" and weight close to 400#. For recreation, I ride an 800 cc ATV through the woods...fast. In the past, a weekend of riding black-diamond trails meant a week at the chiropractor getting realigned. A friend suggested wearing a "kidney belt" but none of the off road accessory companies sell one for us big folks. Then I found this one on Amazon...even had them ship it to meet me at my destination in West Virginia. It arrived on time and was everything claimed. I have now ridden many hundred miles of tough trail and not a wimper from my back. This fits (love the double strapping), is easy to take on/off, is comfortable for all-day use even in 100F muggy weather, and dries out quickly. I won't leave pavement without it. Hooray!!!

I have a ruptured disc so I bought this to help with my back. It has a double tightening feature which is nice, but I have a little trouble with it riding up so I'm frequently pulling it into place (that may be pilot error). Don't wear it directly on your skin unless you want to sweat like mad. I won't lie and tell you "it's so comfortable you'll never know you are wearing it". I find all of these devices to be cumbersome but it does help if you can get used to it, and, as these things go this seems to be a pretty good one. - Back Support Brace - Mueller - Extended - Back Pain'

42 Inch - 46 inch, 60hz

I was between buying this LN46C550 or a more expensive LED 3D Samsung TV. I am glad that I bought this one and saved a lot of money. This is an excellent TV, the picture quality is extremely good. I was concerned that the 60Hz would be inferior to 240Hz technology; but the picture is perfect, I can't really tell the difference! Do yourself a favor and save some of your hard earned money and buy thus TV instead of much more expensive ones; you'll be happy! Samsung LN46C550 46-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)

I purchased the Samsung LN46C550 HDTV last month and finally got it installed this week by professional installers and I must say that this HDTV is great! Black levels, color saturation, are all excellent, this HDTV even has a wireless link connection (must be purchased separately)! This is my first HDTV but not my first Samsung TV and I must say that in keeping with the tradition of high quality TV sets, this is another fine entry in Samsung's catalog!

This is my second LN46C550. The first arrived with a strange audio problem where the sound would have interference for a brief second several times a minute. Kudos however to Amazon who quickly sent a replacement that is working fine.

I purchased this TV for the bedroom, and can compare it to the Samsung UN55B7000 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV I have as our primary TV. The UN55B7000 was last years 120 Hz edge-lit LED model that is really a great TV except for the poor flashlighting produced by the edge-lit design, and its poor DLNA support. With all the frustration I had with that, I almost swore off Samsung for good.

So how does this LN46C550 compare to a TV that cost more than twice as much? Actually, pretty well. I have this connected to a Samsung BD-C6500 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player and the HD 1080p is rendered pretty well, however, this being a tube backlit LCD at 60 Hz, there are most definitely some differences in picture quality between the two.

VIDEO:

The fit and finish of the TV with its Touch of Color design (matches the UN55B7000) is nicely done. The firmware for this years TVs (the C series) is much better than last years. There is a plethora of configuration options for tuning display parameters. While the set comes with 4 preset picture modes, they are woefully over-saturated and inaccurate. Many of the dynamic adjustments are noticeable and intrusive, making them more bother than they are worth. Spending an evening with the Spears & Munsil High-Definition Benchmark Blu-ray Disc Edition [Blu-ray] is well worth the effort. The display can be tuned to a respectable level of accuracy for all but the most critical viewer.

AUDIO:

Yeah. 10 Watts x 2. Basically, two little downward-firing tin cans. While it has some sophisticated audio signal processing, and preset sound modes like voice enhancement (very handy) and Virtual Surround, no DSP magic is going to trick you into believing you aren't listening to two very cheap, underpowered speakers. Luckily this does have a digital audio out connector.

FEATURES:

The TV has a wide variety of features and connectivity options. I specifically chose a TV that has DLNA capability. This years models are a little better in supporting it than last years. I currently use a wired connection to my network, and a PC with Twonky and Mezzmo to stream recorded TV shows. Samsung hasn't figured out how to support Windows Media streaming. However, I must say that the Windows 7 "Play To" feature now works with the C series sets in a limited fashion, no FF or RW.

The remote is functional, but nothing to write home about. The TV supports AnyNet+, so you can use the remote to control other Samsung connected stuff.

Another neat feature is the On/Off timers, which allow you to use the TV like an alarm clock if you wish.

SUMMARY:

All-in-all, a lot of features for the money. While it's not going to knock the socks off the vipheophile in the family, the extra features overcome its average picture and audio quality Samsung does have some quality control issues, but so far, offer a decent buying experience. Would I buy it again. Yes.

I had it set up on the stand and running in less than 15 minutes. I immediately plugged my laptop in through the VGA input and selected the "PC input" selector and within 3-5 seconds the screen was on 46 inches of glory. IT WAS SO SIMPLE, I DIDN'T have to do anything to get it to show up on the LCD TV, it just knew how to do it and how to display it correctly. I don't own a MAC but I know when I have used them they were so simple and intuitive. That was my experience with this TV. Samsung has figured it out. I was using "Netflix watch instantly" within another minute. THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE I HAD to do. I was navigating the web with a huge monitor.People say the sound on LCDs is not that good and I normally use a small stereo on my computer, but at half volume it was plenty loud!

This TV is beautiful too, what looks to be a glass/hard plastic/fiber bevel around the edge as well as the stand. It looks very complimenting to a taken care of home, nothing cheap about the tv except its price, which I got it for $[...] after shipping.

This is my second night with it. My wife and I were sitting on the couch with our wireless mini remote checking my emails and one of my [...] email advertisements came through and we bought something, like interactive TV, so simple. It doesn't feel like a computer anymore.

TV arrived damaged-screen was cracked in numerous places.

Delivery person did not check the item, just asked where we wanted the box and left.

Had to have the TV picked up and subsequently bought the same set at Best Buy. Very happy with Samsung. Beautiful picture and fits nicely in our family room - 60hz - 1080p - Hdtv - 46 Inch'
