Chinese Laundry - chinese laundry, high heels

I absolutely love these shoes. I have gotten so many compliments. My only complaint is that the chains are not very solid and have separated after the 1st wear. I was able to easily fix them, but would not have expected something like that to happen. Naughty Monkey Women's Vintage Platform Pump,Black,7.5 M US

These are cute, they look a little cuter online though. They are really high, too high and even though I have only walked around a bit in the house in them I can tell it wil be very uncomfortable. The leather is very hard and stiff and generally just not a comfy shoe even for the very short period that I have worn them. - High Heels - Chinese Laundry - Stiletto - Ornamented'

Iron Man - iron man, marvel comics

The advance of computing and material technology has required an upgrade of the structure of the armor worn by comic book hero Iron Man. In this book, his origin is also upgraded to reflect not only changing technology but also changing social and political structures. In the newer version, the armored suit is produced to battle a rogue group of scientists rather than communist China. Women are executives at high levels in Stark industries and they are very aggressive in stating their positions.

Iron Man's suit now contains some very advanced artificial intelligence and there is a real-time wireless link to the base so that Iron Man can communicate with the online database and receive remote aid from his buddy Rhodey.

As someone that was present in the early years of the Iron Man character, I must confess to the possession of a strong residue of nostalgia for the original stories. However, as a computer scientist, my appreciation of the new hardware and software overcomes the occasional look back. This is one of the few times that I prefer the modern character over the original. Marvel Adventures Iron Man, Vol. 1: Heart of Steel (v. 1) - Marvel Comics - Comics - Iron Man'

Cloth Diapering - reusable swim diaper, pool diaper

I really wanted this to work but the first time my son pooped in it, it totally leaked everywhere! I have the size large and my son is at the end of the weight range so it isn't because it didn't fit. It just doesn't contain anything in it. It is a cute diaper but not functional what so ever. This is a waste of money. Imse Vimse Swim Diaper - Turquoise Dots with Frills Large

I was hopeful... The side snap is nice as is the soft fabric, however it doesn't do the job. I put it on my son to check the fit - it is advertised as 11-17 lbs but the tag says 13-17 - and he conveniently chose that moment to poop. I put him in his bath to test it, and for the first 2 minutes it seemed like a success, but then the poop started to escape little by little. It came out the back, which seems a little low, and as my son is about 12 lbs right now I can't imagine this working any better for a bigger baby. Unfortunate, because I wanted to like this and feel comfortable taking him in the pool with it.

I purchased one of these for swim lessons last spring as disposable swim diapers were not allowed, plus I didn't want to waste money on a pack of disposables. It did great and I loved it! The snaps on the sides were the #1 reason I bought this particular brand...imagine taking off a wet cloth swim diaper, that fits snugly to keep messes contained. She did poop a couple times when she was in the wading pool at home. It will contain the mess...depending on the consistency. If it is a loose stool, the water in the pool will break it apart, therefore allowing some to escape. Like other swim diapers, these are not meant to be leakproof, so it was no surprise you could see some come out. If it is a more solid mess, I imagine it would be better.

I am about to order my second one for my daughter for this year! I love it and have recommended it to others.

We used this diaper all summer and it was perfect. It was much easier to get on and off than the disposable swim diapers. My son is a little skinny guy and it fit him perfectly. I would say that it runs a little small based on the weight recommendation.

We really like this swim diaper. It is so small it fits under a "regular" swimming suit (although I know a lot of people wear it by itself as the suit). The difference between the medium and the large really isn't that much. I do have to say that it hasn't been tested for poop, though. So I do not have any insight on that. Seems snug, but not too tight around legs, so I am guessing it will do fine.

I bought these swim dipes on a recommedation from a friend. I was happy to find something that fit our 6 month old twins (who run on the long and lean side) when disposables wouldn't fit them. We've been really happy with this product overall, but the undies do not absorb/hold in pee. If you are holding your little one when s/he is wearing this diaper and goes potty you will get wet. For us, this wasn't an issue since we were usually at the beach/pool and we could easily rinse off.

To keep them from peeing in their car seats, we left them in disposables and changed them at the pool/beach. This seemed to work.

Poop - even the runny kind - was held in by the diaper well and was easy to clean out of the diaper. We purchased two patterns for our daughter and two for our son, so if they pottied in their pants we could change them into a fresh pair and deal with the collateral damage once we got home.

I can officialy say after this weekend that it does a good job of holding in poop, and its very easy to wash out. However you have to be on top of it. Im sure if he stays in the water with poop in the diaper it will start to breakdown and leak out. But if you catch it right away- no problem. My son is on the lower end of the weight range and it still works great. Love the snaps- helps alot trying to get diaper off.

This is the best thing I've bought this summer, I had a regular pull up one last year but this one has snaps, awesome! And it fits so well it even holds the pee in, I have to take her on the grass and open a leg hole to let it out. Don't waste your money on throw-aways. Also I went to walmart and got a cute bikini top to match the bottom, perfect swim suit! Highly recommended

I am very happy with this product. I have only given four stars because it doesn't actually contain the pee. However, that was not what I was expecting, so I am not disappointed. We ordered this for my 15-month-old son who is still in diapers (mostly cloth at home) and also uses the potty, but is not fully potty-trained. We recently went on a 3-week vacation, and this diaper was used almost daily. It dries quickly and only requires a rinse or quick hand-wash between uses. It fits very nicely on our trim baby and is easy to get on an off our son who likes to stand for all his changes. I will say that if your baby poos in a diaper without any warning to you, you probably want to go with the disposable swim diapers, because this one doesn't contain pee, so I can imagine some blowouts with poo.

I love this swim diaper. The pool we go to makes her wear a regular swim diaper underneath this one, which I wasn't expecting otherwise I wouldn't have purchased it, but I'm still not disappointed. It fits nicely over the swim diaper and she looks super cute. I bought the coordinating Tankini to go with this diaper. She is very small for her age and tiny around he waist, but the diaper seems to fit tightly enough (without being too tight) around her thighs and waist. When I use my parents' pool this summer I will be able to give a better review as to how well the diaper holds in solid contents. I like the snaps on the side as it makes the diaper easier to get off when it's wet. The price is a little high, but you get what you pay for. All around I think this diaper is a good value and would recommend it to anyone. - Reusable Swim Diaper - Pool Diaper - Finis - Cloth Diapers'

Deadbolt - schlage, keyless

For years we have been using a key pad activated deadbolt for front doors in our various homes - no keys to lose or give to various family members - only four digit codes. Up until now, all of the key pad units we have installed, extend and retract the deadbolt using a small battery powered electric motor.

This issue we've encountered is when the batteries become weak, the motor (in some cases) does not have enough power to retract the bolt and we must revert to another entrance to get into our home. Although these unit allow one to use a key to override the electronics, we never seem to have the key "on us" when it's needed. Fortunately we have a keypad on our garage door and that serves as an alternative entrance when this occurs. These deadbolt retraction failures have been occurring more and more often even with fresh batteries. I suspect the motor is or has worn out.

With this in mind, I shopped the market for an electronically activated dead bolt with manual bolt action. In other words, instead of a motor extending and retracting the deadbolt, one would use a lever or knob to perform this function. The keypad (electronic segment of the unit) would serve to activate the manual knob or lever. I found the Schlage BE365VCAM619 Camelot Deadbolt Keypad, Satin Nickel on Amazon at an extremely reasonable price and it has all of the features I wanted - electronic key pad activation, manual extension and retraction of the deadbolt upon activation.

The unit arrived yesterday and after a few problems with the unit being confused as to whether the bolt was retracted or extended (my fault), the unit works perfectly. Note, I already had a deadbolt lockset on the door, so it was a simple process of removing the old, and installing the new.

It's an extremely high quality unit without the cheap plastic casing my prior unit had on the inside casing. It's all metal. Changing or adding key pad codes (combinations) is relatively easy. One must enter the units six digit master code (don't lose this code, keep it in a place that you can go to each time you wish to change the codes - Using a permanent marker, I wrote it on the inside of the lock), and then enter your personal four digit code. We use two codes however the unit can store many codes. You may want to add a temporary code to let a service technician into your home, then delete that code when the work is completed.

One feature I like is the lighted key pad which our old unit did not have. If we forget to turn on the porch light, by simply pressing the "schlage" button at the top of the keypad, the keys light up.

Here's the basic operation.

When you're leaving the house, close the door, press the "schlage" button, wait for the click, then extend the deadbolt. You'll hear a confirmation click confirming that the locking knob/lever has been disengaged from the deadbolt after the deadbolt has been extended.

When you arrive home, simply enter your four digit code, you'll hear a click, then manually retract the deadbolt and enter the home. I you wish to use the keypad light; simply press the "schlage" button to light it up. Obviously this is not needed during daylight hours.

Basically the nine volt battery is operating the keypad, a knob/level engagement solenoid and the keypad back light and should last for hundreds and hundreds cycles.

Bottom Line - I highly recommend this high quality unit. Schlage BE365VCAM716 Camelot Keypad Deadbolt, Aged Bronze

I have had the brass version of this deadbolt for bout a year and I love it. It is th best one that I have come across (and yes - the most expensive - but you get what you pay for). It is eye-catching rather than an eye-sore. Be careful, some of the cheaper competitor's models have a plastic back that is very unappealing for a main door. The unit is smaller than many by requiring only a 9 volt battery because it does not lock/unlock the deadbolt for you. You do it manually.

Pros:

1) Appealing design (front and back - no plastic)

2) Smaller than most (due to use of 9v battery)

3) Keypad lights up when you touch it for nighttime entry

4) Never get locked out. Give the neighbor a temporary code to get in.

Cons:

1) Pricey ut you get what you pay for

I installed one of these for a client and it seems to be a good product as all the reviewers say. What no one has talked about however is the standard Shlage key that can also be used to open the lock. It seems to me that this would allow the possibility of using a "bump key" to open it. One of the benefits of digital locks is their immunity to bumping. If you want the keypad just for convenience, that is fine. Just remember that any lock that can be "bumped" provides zero security.

We were consistently running into problems with the number of house keys we had given out to: contractors, landscapers and house cleaners. At some point there's no way to track who's coming and going into your house and whether or not they left the keys.

This little gadget eliminates the issue. I can now program the lock with one-time or multiple use codes unique to each individual coming to my house. It installs as easy as any other deadbolt and programming new codes takes about 10 seconds. This has quickly become my favorite new gadget.

I purchased the Schlage electronic deadbolt to allow entry into our house in case I didn't have a key with me. It works very well. Only drawback that I see is that it needs to be placed on a solid door without a glass panel as the lock has a lever on the inside that operates the deadbolt. There is no option for key locking from the inside, only the lever. Locks only keep honest people out, so it's better to have a deadbolt that is key lockable from both sides if you have an exterior door with glass panels. No need making it easier for a thief to get in than is necessary. - Keyless - Keyless Deadbolt - Schlage - Dead Bolts'

Tv Series

This five minute video is essentially a preview for the movie "The King's Speech." This can be quite useful if you want to know something about the movie before deciding if you want to add it to your collection.

The video gives us clips from the film; clips of actors and crew working on the set both between takes and during filming--and more! For example, there are brief comments by Colin Firth who plays The Duke of York (who becomes King George VI) and Geoffrey Rush who plays Lionel Logue, an Australian speech therapist. Helena Bonham Carter talks a bit about the film and playing the wife of The Duke of York; and Guy Pearce also comments. Guy plays Edward VIII who abdicates the throne which forces his nerve-wracked younger brother, The Duke of York, to become King of England at a very dark time for their country.

If you are thinking of getting this film, watch this and get a good idea of what it's all about. (And yes, there are extras on the DVD.) The King's Speech: Road to the Throne

This is a different story that will keep you interested till the end.

Exceptional performance by Colin Firth and Helena Bonhan Carter.

It's the story of Queen Elizabeth's father that became king in a non-natural way and the struggle he had with public speaking.

Excellent film, lots of fun.

I recommend.

I know many were pulling for The Social Network to win Best Picture, but wow, The King's Speech left me speechless! Geoffrey Rush and Colin Firth are terrific! Well written with great performances all around.'

Portable Dvd Player - digital tv, battery operated tv

I purchased this TV /DVD player as a Christmas present and was shocked to find that the T.V. did not pick up one channel with the antenna provided. I got a booster antenna at Radio Shack for $12 and was able to get 22 air channels. The DVD works well and the colors are very nice. I'm not too sure how well it will work when we get out next hurricane or how long the battery will last, but this is why I purchased this item. Philips PET729/37 - 7 Inch LCD Portable TV / DVD Player

Philips PET729/37 - 7 Inch LCD Portable TV / DVD Player

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for a friend and I always like to set things up to make sure the item is working before I give it to the party in question.

Setup was a breeze, very intuitive. I hooked it up to the cable system and it found every channel, it only took about 5 minutes and I was watching a very sharp picture on the 7" screen. Sound was good also, I think she will be thrilled with it. I got this as a lightening deal, but I think it is worth the full retail price.

Wow! what a deal. I purchased this for myself for Christmas of 09. It arrived quickly. The picture is very clear and the sound is loud enough for me. I pick up all the digital channels, even some I can't receive on my cable tv. The only thin complainant I have is that you can't control the on and off and the sound from the remote. But I still give it a five stars rating. Also it really sounds great when you hook up some small media speakers to it. If you can, get one that has a sub woofer. Pop some popcorn and enjoy.

I bought this tv/dvd player as a treat for myself, after saving up loose coins all year. I first purchased another brand (the Envizen), but the dvd player had problems, and it took a lot of effort to get any tv stations, so I returned it. But this Philips is wonderful. Without any effort at all, I received 10 local stations, easily and clearly. I lucked out and bought this product before the price went up, so I feel like I really got a great bargain. This is a great choice if you want both a dvd player and tv (especially if you have a power outage and are trying to keep up with the news...like during a blizzard such as I'm in the middle of now!).

I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE PHILLIPS PET729/37 - 7INCH LCD PORTABLE TV /DVD PLAYER. TALK ABOUT PORTABILITY, IT IS THE GREATEST. IT IS VERY LIGHT AND WAS EASY TO SET UP. THE TV AND DVD 'S COME IN VERY CLEAR. THE SOUND IS EXCELLENT AND LOUD. I WORK NIGHTS IN A PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL, DURING MY LUNCH TIME I CAN WATCH THE TV OR PLAY A DVD FOR A SHORT PERIOD. SOME OF MY CO-WORKERS WHO HAVE SEEN THIS HAVE ALSO BROUGHT ONE. I ALSO GAVE ONE AS A GIFT. I ALSO RECOMMEND BUYING THE TARGUS DVD 301 10 SPORT PORTABLE DVD PLAYER CASE. IF YOU BUY A 7 INCH CASE YOU WON'T HAVE THE EXTRA SPACE FOR THE EXTRAS. THE CASE ALSO HAVE ROOM FOR A LOT OF DVDS AND ACCESSORIES EASILY.

I DO HAVE ONE REQUEST, I WISH THE PRINT ON THE QUICK SET-UP GUIDE WAS LARGER, ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE OF US WITH BAD EYE SITE. BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM BUYING THIS ITEM. THERE IS AN INSTRUCTION MANNUAL INCLUDED. I WAS SO EXCITED THAT I TRIED TO TAKE A SHORT-CUT TO SET IT UP.

This is #4...I've been looking for a "portable" TV since last summer, the 3 previous..would not receive any channels without hooking up to a antenna system. They were "back in the box" the same day. This unit found 5 with it's own antenna...good start. Picture is clear..display...full control of picture and channels. Remote controls everything, except ON/OFF and VOLUME.

The "fold" open/close is real handy, protects screen and a stable "foot" to set on a surface...DVD seems ok too(really just wanted a tv). Only feature missing is a "card slot"...pictures and music have to be on a disc. For the price..I rate it #1 value. Setup menus were very easy, speakers have good volume.

Actually, I'd rate it 4.85, not quite perfect but at the Amazon price, it's unbeatable.

Good sound, very good picture, lousy reception with the enclosed antenna unless

you are outside. I bought an amplified rabbit ears at Radio Shack, brought in all

the local channels including channel 2 which is difficult to pick up in the west suburban

area of Chicago, good battery life, one year guarantee. Thinking of buying several

more. At the Amazon price it's a steal. Most places are selling the comparable Phillips

model DVD with out TV, around $80 to $89

First impression was surprise that it was white as I thought I ordered a black unit. (Look closely when you're ordering.) Okay, the color was no big deal, so I proceeded with excitement to scan for TV channels (My most important reason for ordering it) and received NONE! I took it outside and tried again....none. Went online to Phillips' website to check our locality as mentioned somewhere in the handbook. Couldn't find that info on their website, so I entered into a Chat Session with a representative, who tried suggesting a few things, all of which I had already done (nothing more than what the basic directions had said to do and I had done). Disappointed, I read the reviews again and saw that several people had purchased an additional antenna to booster the reception. I ordered one from Amazon.com, waited for its delivery and tried, hopefully, again to scan for channels. I got one that KIND OF worked but the picture blurred with even the slightest movement of the unit and/or the wind currents. I packed it up and decided it would go back. Several days passed before I got it ready to return and during that time, my laptop developed a problem and stopped working. I took it for repair and decided while it was "down", I'd try the DVD part of the Phillips unit to play an exercise DVD and perhaps change my mind about returning it. I unpacked it, set it up for the DVD, waited as the screen showed the DVD "loading", and then.....NOTHING! The screen indicated that there was "No Disc". Tried again...same thing. Needless to say, today, the cute little Phillips unit that did nothing, for me, is being returned. I give up! - Battery Operated Tv - Portable Tv - Portable Dvd Player - Digital Tv'

Cat Toys - laser pointers, laser

used for about 10 minutes, it grew dim and stayed dim. you can barely see it. it didn't come with batteries so i bought brand new ones...don't know if it's the product or the supplier. i don't recommend this product or seller.... High Quality Blue Violet Purple Laser Pointer with Star Lane Effect

This laser is also easily bright enough to direct someone's attention in a very well lit room, regardless of size. Most of my pets didn't seem to care for it and ignored it, even though they like to play with lasers, so I would stick with cheap red ones for that purpose. The one that did pay attention to it still didn't play with it, just watched it.

I am loving this pointer. I am making neat youtube videos with this and getting on my wife's nerves! Great product, protected well during shipping! The only negative comment is no batteries included as stated in the description.Other than that, a perfect deal. - Red Laser Pointer - Laser - Laser Pointers - Violet'

Sony Camera

I bought this specifically to record band rehearsals and performances. I think I might take it back because it is missing a couple of essential features, although it is quite easy to use and has surprisingly good audio quality.

When I started looking for a handheld camcorder to record music rehearsals and performances, I quickly narrowed down the field to the Sony Bloggie, the Zoom Q3 and the Zoom Q3 HD because of their listed attributes and the great reviews on these products. The Zoom Q3 was the front runner as far as audio quality was concerned (according to reviewers) but was not 1080p. The Bloggie was 1080p, but didn't have the audio rep of the Zoom. The Zoom Q3 HD had both. I finally settled on the Sony Bloggie because the Zoom Q3 HD was a little out of my price range, and because I could find it locally and I needed it ASAP.

So here's the review:

The Bloggie came in a slick little box which can also be used as a carrying case for all the paraphernalia (USB cable, carrying cord, manuals.) The device is also very smooth and slick looking, and feels substantial in your hand. The first thing you need to do before using it is plug it in to your computer. Editing software will then be downloaded into your computer automatically. (The editor is very primitive, but does the job for basic applications.) The instruction manual doesn't really tell you much--- it is one thick card, and doesn't help much at all! You kind of have to figure out how the thing works on your own. Luckily, it is pretty straightforward. Press the red button to record!

The battery came charged out of the box, which was nice. It is recharged through the USB, so you don't ever need to buy batteries.

I tried a quick little vid in my bedroom and uploaded it to my harddrive with no problem. According to the specs, there is an internal flash drive (which can't be upgraded) which allows 2 hours of recording in 1080p. This seemed to me to be a little low for what I would need it for (band rehearsals,) but close enough. I erased the test vid from the memory, and went off to rehearsal.

Since I didn't buy the optional stand, I sort of balanced the thing between two books and pressed record. It seemed to be working fine (it has a built-in video screen), so we started rehearsal. About two hours later we quit, and I went home, all excited to download the vid and take a listen to what we had done.

After plugging the camera into my laptop and opening the editing software, I selected "import." A couple of minutes later, the file had finished, and (with great anticipation!) I pressed play to watch it. Listening to the video with headphones, I was surprised at the sound quality for such a tiny camera with no external mike! The video was pretty good, too, although that wasn't my main concern. The audio quality was my priority, and the Bloggie seemed to pass that test.

Unfortunately, at that moment, I noticed that the video was only 29 minutes long! Where the heck was the other hour and a half of rehearsal? I had no idea! Gone into the ether! I never touched the camera once I set it up, but for some reason the thing quit recording at 29 minutes! Gah! What a waste!!!! I was sick. I read the (non)manual, but could find nothing about this issue.

I also realized that we had played for about 2 and half hours, so even if the camera had worked, I would have missed the last half hour because of the lack of memory.

After I got home I went on line to do some research. At some camera website with the Bloggie specs and review, in the very last footnote at the bottom of the page, it said "movie recording is limited to 29 minute segments."

GAHHH!!!! Really, Sony? Really??? Even though there is still an hour and half of memory left? REALLY???!?!!

So, what that means essentially is that if I want to record one of our shows, I have to set up the camera, then a half hour later leave the stage to press "record" again? Then a half hour later, leave the stage AGAIN to press record AGAIN?

Epic fail.

The second problem I have with the Bloggie is that there is no way to expand the memory capabilities. With the Zoom you can upgrade your memory to be able to record up to 16 hours of video! With the Bloggie, you are stuck with two hours, but in 29 minute segments.

So here is my final summary:

PROS:

Surprisingly good audio quality for such a small camera.

Good video quality at 1080p.

Simple to use.

CONS:

Unfathomable 29 minute limit on videos.

Non-expandable memory.

Poor and useless tech manual.

For my needs, the Bloggie doesn't quite cut it. However, the audio quality is very good. Still, I think I will be forced to return this device.

I'm sad!

UPDATE AUGUST 16, 2011

I've been listening repeatedly to the audio on the recording that I made with this product, and the more I listen to it and compare it to the audio I have heard online of the ZOOM Q3, the more that I like the sound from the Bloggie. I am very torn at this point on whether I am going to return the Bloggie. The sound this little camera captures is really good! I will update again as I spend some more time with it and record some more with it. I also found that, according to Sony, the reason the camera shuts off at 29 minutes is because of heating issues. Still an epic fail, though.

UPDATE AUGUST 17 2011

OK, this camera has got to go! I tried using it a second time at one of our rehearsals. This time it only got through 20 minutes before shutting itself off (must have overheated.) I tried to start it again, but it just wouldn't record again. I had to wait over 20 minutes for it to cool down before it would begin recording again. Even then, it only lasted another 13 minutes before shutting itself off again, this time supposedly for no battery charge--- even though it was fully charged when I started. All of these things are entirely unacceptable. It is really sad, because the 33 minutes of video I did manage to get have really great, lifelike sound. The sound is good! If only the rest of the camera worked as well.... *sigh* Sony Bloggie Camera (Black)'

School Supplies - pencil sharpeners, pencil

Ok, so here I go. Reviewing something only me and other "review" addicts would review. A sharpener. Two holes. Sharpens very well. It's got a nice size shaving container to hold twice as many shavings as my previous two sharpeners. It still lacks the "technology" to prevent the shavings from sticking to the blade; but, so does every other sharpener from what I can tell. All joking aside, I actually do have a another reason for rating this sharpener and giving it 5-stars, and that's the two clips on the side that prevent shavings from flying all over your face when you go to empty the thing. I've used plenty of words that you may or may not find in the dictionary when emptying the last two sharpeners, so this little added function to a sharpener was very welcomed. Instead of manufacturing the pieces so that tension is the only way to keep the top and bottom halves together, the sharpener has clips to secure it, in addition to light tension between the top and bottom contacts. So, once you push in the clips, only slight pulling is required to separate the halves. Not so with the other sharpeners. You will still need to be careful, though, since there is no "stop" to prevent any sort of jerking motion from your hand once you push in the side clips and separate the top and bottom parts. Still, the extra control the clips provide have prevented any run-ins with pencil shavings, and thus, is highly recommended. Now, if you're a guy, you may or may not have to answer some questions, as "Assorted Colors" actually means assorted colors. I got pink. Go figure. Luckily, I work with grown-ups, so I haven't had someone get silly on me yet. But, I'm not holding my breath as there's always that one guy.... Maped Tonic 2-Hole Sharpener with Metal Insert, Assorted Colors (006900)

I got this in blue (It's a pity you can't choose your own color. I really wanted the green one).

Anyway, I use this for sharpening eyeliner. It's very good. The blade is nice and sharp, and the attached container holds all the pencil shreds you can dispose of later.

I bought this based on the positive reviews here and I was not disappointed! I got a blue one (I really want a green one!! Just like the other reviewer. I wonder if they have green ones at all...)

It does the job superbly and sharpens my pencils fast and sharply. My other two sharpeners cannot compete!

This pencil sharpener, I have to say is the best pencil sharpener I have ever come across. Most cheap pencil sharpener's (or even the expensive ones) break very easily on the contact of a very sturdy pencil. I once bought a name-brand pencil at my local wal-mart, and at the first sharpening use, it broke. This one, yes it wears down after months and years of heavy-duty use, but yes it works and it's worth it. I especially love how it lasts longer than most. Some of the down sides are that the graphite can really stain the sharpener and it can also escape from the two sharpening holes. It is made of plastic, so it wears down when used heavily. DO NOT OVERUSE!! Just use it when necessary.

Got this model at a local art shop, and just came across it online in researching other sharpeners. I was quite surprised to see the multiple favorable reviews of the product, given the horrible job it has done with any pencil I have sharpened it with; it has with great success broken the core tip of every pencil I have sharpened. Maybe the elusive green model, which I have, just doesn't perform well as the other colors.

This was given as a gift to my mother when she was recuperating from a broken hip. If it had been defective or deficient you can believe I would have heard about it either from her or from my sister who was visiting daily. Since there were no complaints, I will give it a good rating.

I've always been pleased with the products I've bought from this company, so I had high hopes for this sharpener. Unfortunately, the sharpener ate any pencil I tried to sharpen in it. I'm very satisfied with the "Clean" sharpener from Maped, and I'm sure I'd buy another product from them....just not this sharpener.

I had gone through a few of the cheap plastic sharpeners and they were awful. My daughter's teacher suggested I buy a metal one. When I saw this online (I needed to add a small item so I would be entitled to free shipping), I ordered it. Very wise purchase. My daughter says it's great. I wish I had bought a couple more. - Pencil Sharpeners - School Supplies - Pencil - Easy-to-use'

Ordered the Large Blue suit. Just tried on and here are my first impressions.

This is a true rain suit which means it does not breath and is meant for heavy rain work or walking around in. You will definitely sweat if the weather is light mist and/or raining and warm.

Size-wise the Large fit me just fine. I'm 5'8 and 200 lbs with a large chest and belly to go with it. Normally wear a 40 pants and 42-44 jacket. The extra length on the arms and legs work well for taller guys. I would think this suit will fit someone up to 6' 3 fairly easy. Without trying out the suit in the rain here is one improvement that would be nice. It would have been nice to have pants pocket access slits on the side of the pants. I do appreciate that the coat has two good pockets, but it would be nice to access front pants pockets without going through the waistband. Not a huge deal, but would be nice and I would have paid more for that access.

Otherwise this rain suit is just what I wanted. I live in Seattle and it rains a lot here. This suit will allow me to slosh through heavy rain and enjoy my walks.

The material is fairly heavyweight at 20 MM and comes packed in small bag that I'll never get back into again.

All in all a great price on a good rain suit. Coleman 20mm PVC Rain Suit, Black, Large

My fiance is the driller for a Natural Gas Company, so he seems to go thru rain suits constantly. They always tear. This is the first time I bought this brand of suit and he likes it much more than any suit he has had in the past. It's much more durable. I ordered him an X-Lg b/c he has to layer clothes under it for his job... he's 6'3" and 190 pounds ((maybe 195)), and it fits him great, still allowing room for his coveralls, sweater and jeans.

This rain suit is not intended for anyone who moves. I work outside and the rain pants tore completely in half within ten minutes of me working. The jacket made it until the end of my shift, and then the whole zipper section came detached. Now this item is on it's way to a landfill. I would have been better off covering myself with the money I spent on this.

Like the other reviews regarding it breaking say, it's flimsy. On the very first day I got it, just lifting my leg over my bicycle seat made it tear (it tore so easily, I didn't even notice it until my knee got wet). The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the fit was appropriate and it was cheap. If you're only going to walk near your neighbourhood (and you don't take long strides) I guess it would be fine.

Terrible product. It came in the mail and looked great. Two piece rain suit. The material felt thin but I wasn't worried since all the reviews were five stars. Well, it started raining so I got excited to test out my new suit. Went for a bike ride in the rain and the pants got a huge rip during my ride and the sleeve of the top ripped when I tried to tighten it. Maybe this suit will work for very light use but even then I would recommend against purchasing this flimsy product.

This rain suit worked pretty well this weekend when it was all stormy while we were camping.

I ordered a Medium, but could have probably gone with a small. I typically wear Mediums in shirts and coats, so I thought a Medium in this rain suit would be just big enough to fit over my clothes. I was wrong. The arms are several inches too long and the velcro cuffs don't adjust tight enough. The legs were also several inches too long, so I rolled them.

I didn't get wet when it was raining very hard, so it served it's purpose. My trail maps stored in my coat pocket stayed dry also. I wish the hood had one of those small visors that other rain suits feature, but it did okay without it. I knew when purchasing that it didn't have this feature. I had a small sun hat on under the hood and that helped keep my face dry.

It didn't fold up to store easily. I believe I'll just roll and rubber band it for future uses.

It kept me dry, so did it's purpose and the price on amazon was better than all the local stores :)

This rainsuit is precisely what I wanted it to be when I ordered it. Since I am taking it on an extended hiking trip, I needed it to do double duty and keep me warm as well as be completely water impenetrable. Mission accomplished. It's exactly right.'

Family Game - wii, video games

I bought this for my brother-in-law and his family. We happened to be visiting them when they played it, so we got a chance to play it ourselves. We had kids ranging in age from 5 to 10 years old and everybody had a great time! Hasbro Family Game Night 1 and 2 Bundle

My family and I all love this game. I like the Yahtzee and Sorry the most. It is a good way to get all the family together and play a game and when you are done all you have to do is turn the Wii off...no mess!

My two teenage daughters liked it, my husband & I tried to play it and I was a little disappointed.....I had trouble with the wii controls and got frustrated alot. Maybe I need more practice or just prefer the old fashioned board games!

I bought this for my Grandson for Christmas. He absolutely loves it, and has the whole family playing games with him. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a great time with the family.

We have been having a great time playing all the games. Some of the games that I do not like or know how to play; then my children enjoy. I like the fact that several of the games are old school games that they have updated to make fun for all. My youngest child is 6 years old. I also have a 8 year old, 12 year old and 16 year old. It is great because with the games age really does not matter much as to how well you will do with the game. On the negative side; I would have to agree with many of the past reviews that do not like the battle ship game. It requires that the other person not look while you place your pieces. Only way the is really fair is if you have the leave the room or something. I guess if you do that it can be still as fun as the other way to play it. Also Jenga is kind of crazy to play. My daughter who is the best at most all of these games; was not able to really get this one and I definetly could not play it. In the games defence; we have never really like to play the really game of Jenga. My 12 year old has played the other really version and she states that she actually liked it. We really enjoy the game over all.

This game is very fun, the operation part of the game is a little difficult to get used to but over all it is a lot of fun and a great twist on old games. Even though it is a little costly it is worth the price.

There are past memories galore for the adults from the live games that are included this video game. Many of the classics are included: Connect Four, Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, Sorry, Operation, Jenga, Connect 4x4, Bop-it, Pictureka.

They are set so it takes work to master them, which keeps the players interested.

I especially like these because it helps develop the cognitive skills and fine motor control without the violence of the typical games. It's important to come with the expectations of a different experience from the board games, similar to reading a book and seeing a movie with the same title. The games are based on the board games, but the experience will be different. Both are enjoyable; just different. - Wii - Board Game - Video Games - Family Game'
