Julia Roberts - jude law, adultery

This movie is RAW. If you want a feel good, bubble gum and lollipops type of movie, this is not for you.

This is one of the BEST character studies I have seen in a long time. It's ugly, it's raw, but it's REAL and that could be why some felt so ill at ease. To like this movie is to accept that people really are this selfish and ugly-hearted. This could very well happen and that's what turns your stomach.

By far, Clive Owen owns this movie! You are disgusted by him from beginning to end, but find yourself rooting for him on several occasions, then mad at yourself that you are doing so. But then when you look at the alternative for Anna (Julia Roberts) in Dan (Jude Law), you allow yourself the moral misstep. Dan is quietly selfish and insecure. You realize early on there's an invisible bar that he's set that no one can meet or sustain.

At the end of this movie, you'll ask yourself (in regards to family, friends, and intimate relationships) are you the one setting the unrealistic bar, or are you the one trying to meet one? Are you being yourself while also allowing others to be who they are.

"Alice" was played BRILLIANTLY by Natalie Portman. She had the right balance of tough chick and little-girl-lost. You clearly understood she was someone who wanted to be loved and accepted "as is" flawed and all. Doesn't everyone? She was the only innocent one, so to speak, in the entire quadrangle. She gave her body at the end masking her rejection and hurt. We all know someone whose done this or continues to do this. Although clearly misguided, Alice is the only one who didn't maliciously or selfishly hurt someone she claimed to love.

What makes Larry so remarkable is that he understood they were all flawed INCLUDING HIMSELF, but unlike Dan, accepted it. He knew Anna was a depressive. She didn't have to stay "up" and perfect for him. Larry allowed her to have her blue funks because he knew exactly what made her function comfortably. He was quite content in lifting and supporting her in her art of "photographing sad people beautifully" as Alice said, hitting the Anna nail right on the head. Anna was beautiful to the world, but was sad upon closer inspection. Dan never even realized her condition because it was all about him. Larry understood 'you are what you are,' anything better than that was a great moment. Because he understood this, he knew how to manipulate and orchestrate them all into ultimately getting what he wanted. Dan never got "it" in regard to his relationships because again, it was about him and distracting from his own securities. He had lived and supposedly loved Anna, but didn't really know her - same for "Alice." Any revelations as to who they really were, came from outside sources.

Alice told Larry hidden truths about herself because he was totally open with her - nothing hidden which in turn made her comfortable enough to talk.

Julia gave a great understated performance. She wasn't overly emotional, she didn't rely on her sexuality, she simply existed from moment-to-moment as a depressive does.

I challenge anyone who hated the ugliness of this movie to rewatch it with new eyes.

GREAT-GREAT film! Closer (Superbit Edition)

"Closer" is a heavyweight breathtaking drama that rivets the viewer's attention. The characters are not entirely likable, although each is eminently watchable. Director Mike Nichols won the Oscar for Best Director for "The Graduate" in 1967 and has been nominated 3 other times for "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" (1966), "Silkwood" (1983), & "Working Girl" (1988). Along with films like "Primary Colors" and the TV mini-series "Angels in America," he has an unparalleled ear for dialogue. No, it's not particularly pleasant. No, these are not the people your pastor hopes you will be. But each of these characters represent needs and desires that are shared by most people and are as confused by them as are many. Patrick Marber's screenplay adaptation of his stage drama is heart-wrenchingly truthful.

Of the four strong performances here, the most revelatory for me was Julia Roberts' portrayal of American photographer Anna living in London. She is selfish but has a conscience. She takes what she wants, but tries not to admit to it. In the scene with Larry where she breaks up her marriage, it is some of the best screen time of her career. When Larry grills her on the details of her sexual relationship with Dan, her zinger about the taste of his semen, "It's like yours only sweeter" is like a bullet shot from a gun. It recalls the Elizabeth Taylor line in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?," "You can take it; you married me for it." It is utterly fearless and brilliant. What a raw amazing performance!

As Dan, Jude Law turns is an edgy self-effacing performance that adds to his reputation as one of the great young actors. His scenes with Natalie Portman are enhanced by their similar pairing in "Cold Mountain." On camera, Law is magnetic. As Dan, the writer of the newspaper obituary column, he turns the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Clive Owen is amazing as the strong less-than-sensitive type. His internet sex dialogues with Jude Law's Dan posing as Anna on the computer are as intense as they are manipulated. When he sits in the aquarium with Anna and with tremendous embarrassment learns the truth, he admits, "He certainly can write!" In the scene with Julia Roberts he bellows "I'm a caveman." It seems to typify the heart of "Closer," investigating these very primal sexual urges we have and how they interweave with the emotional attachments we call "love." Owen was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for this role and won the Golden Globe Award.

As Alice, Natalie Portman turns in an amazing performance. Her character seems somewhat beyond reach, but she works the territory masterfully, exploring each need and nuance as if it were a beautiful discovery. Portman was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar and also won the Golden Globe Award.

Damien Rice's song "The Blower's Daughter" is an interesting DVD extra with that riveting chorus, "Can't take my eyes off of you." It's the perfect love song for this film, part pure love and part compulsive addiction. Mike Nichols has worked with an excellent cast and polished this dialogue to perfection. The rhythms build and twist and the lovers attract, repel, trust and betray. It does not so much build to an inevitable conclusion so much as it feels like we've followed the characters through a very intense period of life. This is a film that will be watched and discussed for decades. Bravo! - Relationships - Adultery - Julia Roberts - Jude Law'

Iphone Lcd Replacement 3g - iphone screen repair, 3gs

Replacing my broken glass was a breeze with this kit. Any debating between this and the cheaper glass-only kits should stop hesitating and put out the extra money. Your spending will be rewarded with reduced effort, pain and suffering.

After breaking the glass on my 3Gs, I was shocked at the sticker price of Apple's repair. I found a variety of kits online to replace just the glass and ordered a pricey one, understanding it came with the digitizer. I was wrong, and in forging ahead with the repair I botched it. Using hot air guns to remove the digitizer from the old glass warped the plastic and my work ripped the rubber gasket off of the frame. The replacement glass was unsatisfactory as well, and in piecing everything back together I punctured a ribbon cable which deactivated 10% of my touch screen. What a failure.

I searched some more and found this seller on Amazon as the most affordable way to get a replacement glass with the digitizer already attached. This significantly reduces the skill and effort required to replace broken glass if you have a fully functional LCD. Remove eight screws, three ribbon cables, and carefully separate your LCD from the side rails before reversing the order and reassembling. PLEASE use GOOD guides on the web as a basis for your work.

My biggest challenge was keeping dust out of the space between the digitizer and the screen. It took four attempts at seating the screen before I was dust free and satisfied, so be patient. The cloth supplied in the kit was less useful than another microfiber cloth I already use for my eyeglasses as the kit cloth added dust as it removed others.

Nonetheless I am completely satisfied with the result so far, and have a beautiful screen with a fully functional digitizer. iPhone 3gS Screen Repair Kit : Apple iPhone 3gS Lcd Glass Screen Cover with Touch Screen Digitizer, Frame, Home Flex Button, Ear Speaker and Tool

This is good product but it doesn't have proximity sensor. Proximity sensor is what make the screen off when we make phone call. This is important because without proximity sensor when call me made, touchcreen remains active and you may *press* mute button inadvertently.

This company was to be sending me the 3gs screen as the item is labeled as on amazon. When I recieved the product it was for the regular 3g. When I requested a refund or the correct product the company informed me they don't offer it Goethe 3gs (even though that's what they listed it on amazon as). Once shipping it back I did get a refund but was not refunded for ANY of the shipping costs, only the product itself. Very disappointed with my experience with this company.

The screen was pretty easy to replace and took about thirty minutes. I had to open it back up to get the connections firmly set. When I did the glass separated from the frame :(. This is definitely not OEM parts but I was looking for a cheap fix and understood they weren't. Like other reviewers mentioned the glass does not have the special coating, home button is not as crisp, and the proximity sensor is not included. If these are concerns of yours then this may not be the best option. My wife's phone works and she is fine with these issues since we're waiting on the iPhone 5. The kit did come with the tools and these worked well. Happy fixing!

***Added fourth star due to the proximity sensor actually working. Still very happy with replacement.

Cant tell you how excited I was to make my broken IPhone a normal phone that I would be willing to take out in public again without cringing at its disappointingly cracked screen. As with most customers who are trying to save a significant amount of money by doing this fix themselves, this seemed like to easiest and most feasible option. It only took me about 20 minutes to get it taken apart and another few to get it put back together. I connected the three cables and firmly set the screen back into the bezel. Looked brand new and I was exceedingly happy to see my phone whole once again....until I tried to use it. Home button worked fine, and even unlock slidebar worked well, then when I tried to put my passcode in I pressed the 3 and the 1 illuminated. I pressed the 4 and it lit up correctly. I must have taken it apart and put it back together 4 or 5 times and got the same result everytime. What was more frustrating is that my (at that point) screenless phone was ringing the whole time I was trying this and I had no way of answering it. I looked at the original cables and two out of three were exactly the same, the third, I assume the one that connects the digitizer to the phone did not want clip in securely or stay in place. Even when I carefully lifted the screen and slid my finger under to press it into place as hard as reasonably possible it would not work correctly. After examining the the broken screen connectors and the new ones, I could see that it was ever so slightly different. The original digitizer connector has a black plastic strip going down the middle, and the new one was all metal, probably accounting for the crossed signals. Sooooooooo close, but in the end I had to put on the old broken screen just to be able to use my phone. Not a satisfied customer.

I smashed my iphone screen on the parking lot ground, I was hesitant to buy a new screen, as last time I purchased one i damaged my LCD. This pre-installed screen had the whole top (excluding the LCD) that was particularly easy to install. If you have never done this before, I would suggest finding a good website to show you how to remove the screen. the only complaints I have from this kit: 1) The kit did not come with online instructions or a website of how to install the product. 2) the phillips screwdriver that was sent with my kit did not fit the screws, luckily I already had a few laying around. Some things that I liked about the kit: 1) the kit came in two days flat, so my iphone screen was only broken for 2 days. 2) the whole piece is already pre-installed and not as difficult to install like if you were only installing the glass part (which is a waste of your time btw, might as well buy this part instead of stripping the iphone frame).

for those of you who do follow directions off the internet: WARNING: when removing the LCD screen DO NOT pry the LCD from the bottom like the you tube video shows, this will damage your LCD screen and then you will have to buy a new one!

good luck - Iphone Glass Screen - 3gs - Iphone 3gs - Iphone Screen Repair'

Ancient History - china

This translation of the Lun Yu (Analects) of Confucius is the best on the market. The combination of a sophisticated translation, commentary that is not to be found elsewhere in English, and the author's own thoughts on the texts make this my daily use translation. Analects: With Selections from Traditional Commentaries (Translated & Annotated) (Hackett Classics Series)

Slingerland's translation of Confucius' Analects is a helpful addition to the current literature on the subject. Destined to be used for college student, Slingerland gathers a number of traditional commentaries on each translated verse as well as giving a helpful glossary of Chinese terms and names of person referred in the text. While I personally would prefer D.C. Lau's translation, Slingerland's prose is quite good and less cumbersome than Ames and Rogermont's philosophical translation. This is a helpful introduction to Confucian thought for English-language reader.

Reading the Analects of Confucius can be challenging for people - with wordplay, references to historical figures, cultural commentary, and more. This edition of the Analects not only includes a good interpretation/translation, it includes quotes and comments from other interpreters over the centuries, along with excellent cross-referencing. The result is a text that is both academic and very readable, with plenty of references.

Definitely worth having on the shelf of any person interested in Chinese philosophy or philosophy in general. - China'

Canon Multifunction - pgi-220, canon multifunction

I have a Canon MP 620 printer which I think is a great device but it does tend to use a lot of ink (or maybe I just print a lot) so having the 3 pack makes it easy to be ready for when I need to.

What I've found works for me is to get the 3 pack of the PGI-220 and then the color ink (Canon 2946B004 CLI-221 4 Color Value Pack (Black/Cyan/Magenta/Yellow)) in the 4 pack and finally deal with any intermediate outages through an individual purchases.

This means I have replacements for all the ink as needed and never have to urgently get some. Canon PGI-220 Combo Pack - Triple Pack (Black)

When my old, faithful Epson printer died, I did research and upgraded to the Canon Pixma MX 860. I needed a color printer, and wanted something better for my job (I teach part time at a community college, and hand out a fair volume of paper work.) The prints from this printer are fanastic, well beyond anything I've ever printed at home.

However, the printer consumes ink like oxygen. The puny cartridges that come with this printer are tiny and rather expensive. I ran out of black within 3 weeks-with very conservative printer use during those 3 weeks! I had difficulty finding the correct replacements-due to bad serial # marketing from Canon. Turns out Amazon has clones as well as the brand name, but I had to go to Canon's website to find out that the same cartdrige size is used for the Pixma mx 980, mx 860, mp 620, and several other models. Amazon carries the clones, which are not a lot cheaper. Frys and Costco also carry the genuine brand.

I love the printer, but have purchashed a Brother HL-2140 monocolor laser printer to make test copies, black and white prints, and general documentation of bill-pay, etc. The quality of these prints is not anywhere near as nice, but the cost per copy is fantastic.

I keep the Canon printer, and ink-use, for more important print outs, or color. I would rate the ink cartridges higher if they made more copies, the copies they do make are great.

What can I say? Canon ink for a Canon printer? Of course this is a good idea. Some of the generic inks with this newest generation of printers measuring picoliters can clog up the print heads. This ink and the printers it's used in are some of the best Canon has produced. This cartridge seems to last longer than the previous printer I had that uses the CLI-8 ink. I am very pleased with the output quality of this ink.

And this is one of the best prices available for original Canon ink.

I didn't want to take any chances buying another brand (or refilled non-brand). These ink cartridges are expensive, though, and just a few changes in your print settings can double the lifespan.

When on regular print settings, I noticed the paper was saturated in ink & the cartridge used up in no time. So, I changed the printing preferences to "grayscale" and "fast printing". This uses about half the ink and looks just fine to me. In fact, I prefer it because the printed copy comes out dry instead of wet with ink (that then needs to dry and could actually smudge).

Printing in grayscale also saves the other colored inks -- especially when printing coupons or anything else that doesn't require high-quality printing. To further save on ink & avoid printing unnecessary stuff (like logos and advertising on various websites), you can change your print options to "print only the selected frame".

Lastly, when the printer tells you the ink cartridge is empty and needs to be replaced -- just press the "ok" button on the printer and keep doing so it until your ink truly does run out. I was able to print out an additional 25 pages last time.

Happy printing :-)

I was surprised at how soon the black print cartridge that came with my new Canon Pixma MP 620 ran out of ink, but was pleasantly surprised to fine the 3 pack at what appears to be a reasonable price. I must confess that when these empty, I will check on having them refilled.

JH

Basic, simple fact. In this case, buying a three pack from Amazon with free shipping offered savings. Instead of struggling to remember to bid on Ebay, or seeing $20 per single cartridge as the only option,it's easier to committ $34 for a three pack.

Canon's printer will use a cartridge up quickly. Save time and money in this case by going through Amazon. Check prices--you'll see what I mean.

Was a great deal for ink. The ink works superbly well. The only thing of notice was that when I took off the plastic that protects the ink opening, there was quite a bit of excess ink in there that needs draining off. Now that I know to look for it, I can do that without getting it on my fingers. +++

I have a Canon MX860 printer/copier/scanner. It is a great machine. It prints fast and beautifully. But, it is very generous in its use of ink. The Canon black combo pack is one way I can control my costs and avoid buying remanufactured cartridges or brand "X" ink. - Canon Multifunction - Ink Cartridge - Ink - Pgi-220'

Martial Arts Fitness - stretching, fitness

It's not a *bad* book about stretching, and does contain some 200 exercises--even if half of them are about as complex as 'lace your fingers together, palms out, and push your hands away from your body' (my paraphrase).

What really bothers me, though, is a pair of problems:

First, the book mentions almost casually that static stretching (touch your toes and hold the position) has almost no correlation with functional stretching (how high can you side kick?). In the next paragraph it states quite clearly that martial artists should be focused on improving functional stretching--that static stretching is largely useless except for rehabilitation.

Now, even if that *isn't* poppycock--which I'm not qualified to judge, but it does sound flaky--one would think that this book, intended for martial artists, would therefore proceed to focus on other kinds of stretching. No: the vast majority of the exercises are static stretches. So either the advice is flawed or the book's target audience is wrong.

A second issue is PNF stretching. The book goes to some effort to push PNF as the most effective, best stretching technique: over and over, the refrain is that one should work towards incorporating PNF stretching into your workout as soon as is feasible (it's not for beginners).

But just as soon as you've become convinced of the benefits of PNF stretching, the book goes on to state--and here I'll quote--"Because PNF stretching requires detailed hands-on instruction and guidance, PNF stretching variations are not included in the exercise descriptions". In other words, the book says pretty clearly, "This is what you want, and this book doesn't describe it."

I'm disappointed that I bought this book, and can't say I'd recommend it to others. Ultimate Flexibility: A Complete Guide to Stretching for Martial Arts

If you have been doing martial arts for a while you probably won't learn any new exercises but you will truly understand not only why they work, but more importantly how to make the most of them. Important anatomical information is distilled in a way that just about anyone can readily understand and use. This book is well laid-out and illustrated effectively to convey the information. It is holistic and thorough. Although at my age I will probably never be able to do the splits, it has measurably improved my flexibility. Great book!

Lawrence Kane

Author of Surviving Armed Assaults, The Way of Kata, and Martial Arts Instruction

Ultimate flexibility is an excellent book for those who practice the martial arts, regardless of their current flexibility level. It's even great for those who don't. My wife (who doesn't practice martial arts) joins me for flexibility exercises and enjoys the workout quite a bit.

The book is divided to 3 main categories.

The first chapters deal with the scientific background. What are the mechanisms behind flexibility; what can be improved; what are the limitations; and what are the potential hazards for the un-educated, practicing flexibility. It details the major muscle groups and explains the benefit of having each flexible. It has good suggestions in terms of keeping workout logs and setting goals.

The second part has actual flexibility exercises, all clearly explained along with a photo for each. Some exercises are presented with a few alternatives-- easier versions and harder versions.

The third and last part suggests flexibility workouts. That is, what a workout should include depending on your background and goals.

Ultimate Flexibility has helped my flexibility tremendously. It's educational, clear and concise and most importantly, motivating. I now look forward for some time off so I can go out and practice some flexibility.

Bravo.

- Petel

My first time writing a review for anything on this website... But I felt that this book does not get the attention it deserves. I am no martial artist - I just wanted to find a book that would give me all the information I need about attaining greater flexibility. This book has it all - advice, scientific discussion (and I don't mean a page filled with meaningless terms - the author really tries to explain it well), quick guides and sample workouts, and of course, a wide range of stretches with pictures. It even helps you optimize your stretching routines so you spend less time on it!The only shortcomings I can think of are lack of information on PNF stretching, and perhaps not being really martial-arts oriented (although it's a positive for me)Just don't forget - this book gives you the bricks - it's up to you to put in the time and make something out of them

The book could just be called "Ultimate Flexibility" without the reference to martial arts in the title.

I bought the book as a novice in martial arts, but this is a good, general guide to stretching, period. For us martial artists it has the bonus of letting us know which stretches help for higher kicks and deeper splits, but for those who aren't into this particular sport, it is still a great general guide for incresing flexibility.

I really think of it as two books. The first chapters cover the how and why of stretching, and I find these make good reading material when just relaxing and reading something interesting. The back chapters are the actual stretches and are the "instruction manual" that you keep handy as you work out or develop your own stretching routine.

This book has a lot of different stretches in it but nothing tageted towards specific movements. I need to improve my Side Kick height but I can't really gather from the book what I should focus on. I also bought the DVD which has some workouts and is a better deal.

If you really want to work on your splits you should buy "Stretching Scientifically". That book is awesome and I must say very painful but the results are fantastic. It also explains exactly how all the muscles interact and how some of the strecthes in "Ultimate Flexability" are actually doing you more harm than good.

This gun is a "kit". When I ordered, I wasn't quite sure what that meant. I was thinking it included staples and perhaps a case, and I was right. This staple gun includes 1,000 staples and a handy storage case. I used this to tack some wires and hang some posters. Good quality gun, very happy with this purchase. This is a very nice unit... comes with 1000 stapes and a carrying case that I was not even expecting. Was delivered quickly in very good condition, sealed and new. Strong Pinner That Beats The Rest - 23 gauge, pinner

I've used this pinner on a few projects and overall I'm pleased with it. So far it's not jammed or malfunctioned and seems to set the pins to a uniform depth.

I have noted one thing I dislike. If you look closely at the picture of the tool, you'll see a small triangular piece of metal above the trigger. This is the safety. To operate it, you must poke your finger into the little space above the trigger and pivot the safety out of the way, allowing the trigger to move. Be aware that this is the only safety. Unlike most larger gauge air nailers, there is no device the prevents the tool from firing until it's depressed against the workpiece. Once the safety is moved aside, the tool's hot and will shoot pins whenever the trigger's depressed.

Aside from the safety system, I've been pleasantly surprised with the performance of this inexpensive little tool. If you're like me and have need for a pinner for occasional projects, I think you too will like this one. Just use it with caution! NuMax SP123 23 Gauge 1-Inch Pinner

The NuMax SP123 appears to be well made and so far it works well. The safty is near the trigger and once deactivated tool will fire so use good safty practices. Shoots 1/2" to 1" pins and for the money it is a great find.

I have used this nailer for just a few projects so far but it seems to work well. Only complaint is that I wish the nose of the nailer had some kind of rubberized tip to help with accuracy but there is so little kick back and the trigger is pretty sensitive so its not that big of a deal. Overall I would say this is a good value and does the job for me. - Pin Nailer - 23 Gauge - Pinner - Nail Gun'

I am very happy with this product. The packaging was in good condition for it being a fragile product I give this product 4 Stars. I have oily skin and it takes care of it, by the end of the day my face is still fresh looking. I love this product. NARS Flesh Loose Powder

I love Nars! This product is one of his finest. It seems expensive, but you will never run out of this product. I'd say if you use it daily you're fine for a good two years. Do yourself a favor and indulge in the loose powder that this fine frenchman has created.

This is my first try at using NARS Loose Powder and I was not disappointed. The powder is very fine-milled and applies beautifully. You don't need much to get a flawless look. And since this is such a large container of product, it will last a long time. The color is perfect for my skin tone - doesn't really show color, though, just an amazing finish!

I have combination skin so this powder is perfect the quality is amazing it's a bit pricey but it's worth it

The powder is finely milled so when I apply it gives me a natural look I love this product I will re purchase it again.

I've always been a fan of compacted and loose powders. I've been through so many and when I found this I couldn't resist. It gives great coverage without looking powdery. I've always large pores and this product hides them really well. It's great for setting my foundation and the color flesh matches me perfectly. The only reason this is a four out of five, is the container. As soon as I opened it I got the powder everywhere. Still it was worth every penny!

Ever since Neutrogena discontinued their Healthy Skin Loose Powder I have spent a lot of money, and have had some sad face days trying different powders...but not anymore! I recommend this powder for oily skin and large pores. I have both. It seems to be a very fine powder, so does not make my pores look huge. It does not make them disappear of course...but not bad. After 5 hours my face usually looks oily and I have to touch up with a compact, but not with this...my face did not look oily at all. I give this 5 stars!

I seriously LOVE this powder its the best and it leaves my face so soft and natural looking.. I hope amazon will always have it so can buy more in the future cause everywere else this powder is discontinued... <33333

The powder is amazing. It creates a flawless smooth look without caking up throughout the day.

I am Asian with oily skin and golden tones. I bought Beach and it matches very well.

The only complaint I have is that the mesh lining it comes with is ridiculously useless. I put it under the plastic tray, which is a little helpful. The product even arrived with powder outside on the sides of the lid.

However, despite the box, I find this product to be well worth the money. It will lasts a very long time.

This is my new fav powder! I bought it in flesh and am glad I did. I could have probably bought snow, but my fair skin has pinkish tones and the flesh looks very nice. I ended up putting the sifter underneath the plastic piece with the holes where the powder comes out bc I read someone else had more luck with not having the powder fly everywhere and waste product. I also pulled the sticker just enough to only uncover a couple holes. Then I just tap the product into the lid and swirl my powder brush in the lid and apply similar to the bare minerals technique.

I notice my skin looks better and healthier and it doesn't have that powdery look like others I've used in the past. It may seem expensive, but a little goes a long way with this powder so I know it's going to last me a long time even with daily use.

I have combination skin, used to be oily when I was a teen but now I'm 21 and just have t-zone issues from time to time but I don't have acne anymore. This powder makes my skin look almost poreless which is great. I just use my cream foundation, this, Nars the multiple in Orgasm, and mascara and I'm good for the day. You'll love it! :) - Blush - Makeup - Orgasm - Beauty'

after having purchased several of the other books available on the royal wedding (and subsequently being disappointed at the lack of actual wedding day coverage), i am entirely pleased i purchased this one as well!

this is a solid book. the quality of the binding and the pages is top notch, as are the quality and quantity of the images presented.

the caveat here are the images themselves! present is the first photo i have seen of the actual cake! also included is one of the official images released by the royals of the bride and groom with the children of the wedding party. there are both the officially released engagement photos. there is a lovely photo of catherine on the way to the ceremony, as well as numerous lovely images from the ceremony itself. there are a few images of the carriage ride to the palace, as well as a great spread on the balcony kisses.

if you are considering purchasing a book for images of the royal wedding itself, i highly encourage you to purchase this book, as it is far more impressive than the others currently available on the market! William & Catherine: Their Romance and Royal Wedding in Photographs

This book has 55 pages dedicated to wedding day pictures only as well as a few shots of the wedding throughout. In addition, there's background details/pictures of prior royal weddings up to Diana and Charles as well as information and pictures of William and Catherine prior to the wedding individually and as a couple. I think this is a great collector's book. I had also pre-ordered the "LIFE The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton: Expanded, Commemorative Edition" and found it very lacking. I cannot recommend this book enough as it includes pictures of both arriving at the ceremony plus various other royals and guest shots as well as pictures of the crowds at the mall. This truly encompasses the whole day up to them leaving for Clarence House prior to the night reception.

This book is absolutely fabulous! There are tons and tons of pictures, way before the wedding, shortly before the wedding, and many of the amazing day itself. This is the perfect book for anyone obsessed with the royals and their recent nuptials. I will treasure my copy for years to come!

This is by far the best book in pictures and story that I have seen on the wedding....and I have checked them all out in the bookstores....this actually has start to finish of the wedding, a beautiful picture(s) of the kiss and a lot of great background information. Well worth the money and a great book of this once in a lifetime event.

I was so suprised and delighted at the size of this book and all the wonderful pictures. It is as nice a reminder of the royal wedding as I could ask for. I loved all the pictures from inside the cathedral and the archive pictures and stories from royal weddings past. I think you will love this book as much as I do.

I was hoping that this would have more pictures of the actual wedding but it doesn't. All the pictures we saw on TV were not in this book. They do show the kiss but they don't show any other pictures from the balcony. They only have few pictures from the carriage ride and from the actual wedding. I was very disappointed.

This book was good, and if this book was accompanied with the sweet words Author Raymond Sturgis have in his book concerning WILLIAM & CATHERINE ( A Royal Union of LOve), this book would skyrocket through the atmosphere.'
