I searched high and low for a Cooler for my new I7 that would fit in the Cosmos S case without taking the side fan out. This one showed up somewhere, and since it was fairly cheap while appearing to be decent quality, I bought it. It didn't disappoint.

This little thing is built extremely solid. No cheap, second grade parts. The bottom has a mirror surface, it comes with its own Thermal paste, mounting brackets for just about any CPU type, is quiet, and more than gets the job done. My CPU dropped from 55 C (With stock cooler) to an unbelievably low 26-27C (Cores run about 39)! Seriously, I would suggest you buy this product.



As a side note, I chose to use Arctic Silver 5 Thermal paste, instead of the included. Cooler Master Hyper N520 Mirror Finished Copper Base Aluminum Fins 5 Heatpipes CPU Cooler - (RR-920-N520-GP)

I love this product, it looks so nice and perform way better.



Most of all it's silent and it deliver what the manifacturer promise in bringing down I7 Extreme processor to 37degrees.



Cons:



No tools to control the fan speed nor any external switch, you will have no control over the fan speed making it not friendly if your trying to overclock your processor.



Sice of this unit is an issue, make sure you have enough size, and i mean enough size. Not only in hight i'm talking about the width of the unit, it will not allow you to install other products like DDR3 Ram because of it's size. choose mother board with more RAM slots.

Nice Cooler, very Noise Level LOW LOW!! wow i like it!!, for the price is amazing!!! i have cpu Amd Phenom x2 550 Black Edition and with my original cooler my temperatures 40°C - 42°C idle and 52°C - 54°C Full Game!!



Now with my new Cooler Master Hyper N520 my temperatures in idle is the 30°C - 33°C and full game in 40°C - 44°C is very cool :D, if i had to buy other cooler again... i buy it!!!

Before I was running Intel's stock cooler on my i7-920 and was getting temps of about 45°C at idle and as high as 80°C under load. With this, I get temps around 22°C at idle and never higher than 45°C under load. It's a great cooler. It's a little tough to install (requires you to remove the mobo from the case to put a mounting bracket underneath the CPU (don't worry, already holes in the mobo for that). But after the initial pain of installing, it's well worth it, esp for the price.

First off, if you are looking to install this, i think 3dgameman shows how to install the V8 cooler, watch this video, as the two are very similar in installation, and the instructions are useless.

Speaking of which , they actually told me to install the backplate ... backwards. This aside the cooler dropped an i5-750 from idling at 38c to 28c, using AS5 compound. Make sure you do not overtighten this sink during installation, as this will cause an imbalance and increased temps, also only use a little thermal compound, too much will ALSO increase temps.

only my noctua's have been quieter so far, but I've tended to stick to coolers I know and trust... so not much variety (fans can always be upgraded don't forget),

Some people complain about not realizing what direction the fans blow.

First off, this thing works! It's also amazingly quiet considering the push/pull fan arrangement. This cooler is HUGE! So make sure you have room in your case before you try to shoehorn everything back into the case. Installation was a snap - BUT - you have to remove your motherboard. Ignore the other reviewers comments on a horrible installation process and take you time, laying everything out you're going to need.



As mentioned by another reviewer, ditch the included thermal paste and go with Arctic Silver.

I have an AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black edition. It ran at about 40C/60C at stock speed (3.2GHz) and cooler (in an office with AC around 72F). Now it runs around 35C/51C. I have OC'd it to 3.6GHz and it runs 40C/60C again. Not bad, not great, but for $30, not bad. If you know how to take out a motherboard, installation is easy. Otherwise, here's your chance to learn. There are bigger badder coolers out there, but this one is cheap and compact.

I recently installed an i7 860 CPU in a Biostar TH55B HD motherboard. Running Prime 95 and Real Temp showed that when fully stressed (prime 95 set for maximum heat) the CPU would rise to 85C-87C with a stock fan, no overclocking. Running the same test with the CM fan installed dropped top temp to 59C.



The problem I had is that the mboard has a small resistor right under the mboard where the fan mounting bracket goes. So I had to create some insulated washers (metal washer with plastic adhesive) to raise the bracket a bit. (Don't use rubber or plastic washers - they will compress when tightening and you either won't get a good thermal contact or the washer will compress and the bracket will hit the resistor).



The fan works great and the problem was really the mboard, not the fan.

This thing is well worth its money compared to most coolers. My systems cpu hasn't been able to hit over 35 celcius. Also just to throw this in it looks pretty sweet. When you install this tho you cannot use your stock fan mount. This one comes with a completely different one. It comes with two brackets. The bigger bracket is for most amd motherboards and the small one is for most intell. Also on the smaller one its in two pieces and the already attached bolts can be adjusted. I work for the railroad in train service and have to be outside 95% of the time 365 days a year. When it rains I need something to keep me dry. I tried the expensive stuff like Carharts rain jackets. I tried the cheap plastic and rubber suits from Farm-N-Fleet. Neither worked very well. Then some of the guys tried these FroggToggs and said they loved them. Very lightweight and absolutely waterproof. I bought a set and found out the same thing. These suits keep you dry and you can hardly tell you're wearing a rain suit. Extremely lightweight fabric. Definitely a great value for the money. You can't go wrong with these things if your goal is to stay dry. Buy a set. You'll probably love them like I did. Our 20-month-old loves this table and chair set. She's a tad small for the chairs (her feet don't reach the ground), but she can sit on them by herself. The set is very cute and well made, it's easy to clean and easy to assemble. I wouldn't recommend an adult sitting on the chairs for very long, though. The one drawback to this set is the fact that the design of the feet of the table and chairs, though adorable, makes for a very slippery situation. You can't stick rubber dots on the bottoms b/c of the curve of the feet, so you can only put a rubbery surface down. A rug is OK, but not great, b/c some rugs are kind of silky or the pile is so short that the furniture slides a bit anyway. I'm sure this isn't as big an issue with older kids, but for the little ones, they need to be able to push against the furniture to get on and off it. We found a colorful rubber mat at BJ's for cheap, so we use that, and it works great. P'kolino Table and Chairs, Orange

Contrary to what the listing implies, this is NOT made from solid wood, but from particle board with a basswood veneer. I called the company and was informed that the particle board contains formaldehyde, so i'm returning the table and chairs and getting a much cheaper set from Ikea instead.



too bad; the design is cute and matches our kitchen! unfortunately, toxic materials do not match our kitchen, so... so long!



it's such a hassle that the listing is misleading!

This is perfect for my 21 month old. It's a little big for her right now as her feet can't reach the ground but she could get onto the chair by herself with no problem. There's plenty of room for her to grow into it too. She loves to sit in it to eat, drink, read, draw and watch TV by herself. My husband only had a minor complaint that a few of the pre-drilled holes was not big enough and that he had to use a drill to drive the screw in and hence the 4 stars.

we are very satisfied with the quality of the product in general. The assembly was easy - no extra tools needed, no extra muscle needed. The only flaw is, that one part does not really fit into the base. The back of the chair is therefore a little wobbly now and this can't be changed.

Otherwise we like the color and the rounded edges on table and chairs. It's a solid product, that is infact a little heavy - which is good for us.

The table and chairs are fine, nice for arts/crafts and coloring. The thing that I don't like is the orange color has gotten onto the natural wood coloring in various places somehow and cannot be wiped clean, it's there for good.

Easy to set-up, durable, easy to clean, very cute. Bought it when my son was 16 months, he did have a bit of difficulty seating on it, but now at 20 months he just backs right into it. Great for snack time and coloring. I'm sure we'll get many years out of it.

This table is the perfect size from my 2 year old. We actually got it when she was just one and a half and even then it worked pretty well (she was a little small for it, but figured out how to scooch herself into the chair rather quickly). This is a great table if you plan to use it in your main living space. It's definitely not an eye sore and it's nice to have a space just their size! We also have the matching eisel and toddler bed. Great products!

I wanted to furnish a toddler bedroom for my 2.5 year old son. I believe that kids furniture should be happy looking and well made. I did a lot of research over the interned and visited a number of stores and did not find anything that was well made and colourful at the same time. I liked the looks of the P'kolino furniture right away but was not sure how well made it was. I went through the effort of looking for a store that would actually carry it, but did not find one. So finally I ordered it on the internet. It came on time and was EXACTLY what I was looking for: happy, friendly, well made. My son loves it and is very comfortable in the bed. The table and chairs set are wonderful as well and sturdy. The bookcase is charming and well sized for a small reader. P'kolino is definitely good value and great design. I would recommend it to anyhody who appreciates nice things.

I was a bit hesitant to order it initially, because of some reviews that I have read, but I totally disagree. This is a great purchase.

Nice table. Works perfect for 2 yo crafts & play doh activites. We use it for snack time for playdates. We only bought 2 chairs, 4 would have been nice. One draw back is that the legs of the chairs don't have felt bottoms.I've noticed sratches on my wood floors where my daughter has scraped it across the room. I didn't spend much for this, but it holds a charge no longer than the year-old original battery it was supposed to replace. It took more than one contact to get the seller to refund my money, as they originally said I had not contacted them within 30 days. Once I posted a negative review, they got back in touch with me and offered me a replacement or refund.

I purchased a new battery because the one I had in it was almost 2 years old and lost it's charge faster than I liked. This battery arrived in a little plastic baggie, no container, no packaging. It appears as if it may be already used. I put it in my BlackBerry Curve 8320 and it works, but the charge it keeps is no better than my 2 year old battery. Three stars for price, and it DOES work... but I deducted 2 because I question whether this was actually a new battery or not.

I read ebooks on my blackberry (yes, yes, most of you think that's crazy), so I'm always worried that my battery will die shortly before a long flight or trip. When my battery started losing its charge after less than a day, I decided it was time to get a new battery. Like one other reviewer I hesitated to order this because of the one person who said they got the wrong product. First of all, that did not happen to us. The product arrived quickly after it was ordered, and it was exactly as pictured. It is hard to find these "all in one" phone/radio/alarm clocks and we were thrilled to find this one. The best feature is being able to read the clock numbers from pretty much any place in the room or lying in the bed, and you can adjust the brightness (either high or low.) The two alarms are great, the radio reception is really good too. The settings are easy to understand and use (we don't have caller ID so that part we don't use.) The phone itself takes a little getting used to, but the sound is good when using it. One great feature is that you can buy a longer phone cord and easily replace the short one that it came with it should this be your preference. The ringer settings are nice, the low one being good in a bedroom. Overall if you are searching for this type of combination product I would say this is a superb choice. This is the 'bar bones' but it does the trick. I was disappointed because I was looking for a speaker phone.....and this does not have one even though the specs said it did. It is adequate, I am able to tune in a variety of stations. It does not have set buttons, you have to manually tune in the station each time you change. It is compact and very square looking, but it does have a radio, corded phone and alarm clock.

This is a great phone for the price. The only 2 down falls I see are, the ringer volume switch gives you 3 settings, high, low and off. The low setting may as well be a second off setting. You can hardly hear it ring sitting next to it. And the other thing is that the key pad on the phone stays constantly on, even in the cradle. It's not that bright and won't bother when the room is dark, but why they designed it this way is a good question. Most phones key pads turn off when you set them in the cradle.

Other than those minor things,(that's why only 4 stars) this is a great phone for the bedroom. Radio works great. Caller I.D. works just fine. Phone has plenty of memory and is clear. I recommend this one!

After reading the last review, I took a chance and bought this phone from Amazon and it is exactly as described and looks exactly like the photo. I think the last reviewer might have gotten a mistaken product from another seller other buying than Amazon. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Nice small radio, phone, alarm system. It fits into a small space to reduce clutter. The time numbers are easy to see. Less obvious are the glowing dots for AM/PM, as well as the alarm-on glowing dots. Tends to make you tilt the thing back, and then the phone handle falls off. Works as a phone so far, radio quality average, and the alarm buzzer has one volume...LOUD. The light readout on the phone handle keeps tract of all calls...even ones not answered. But....actually, for the price, and the performance....I actually like this little unit and recommend it.

My favorite thing about this alarm clock/phone is the 2 alarm settings. I don't have to reset or even think about turning it on Mon. - Fri. Also, nice volume control. I prefer to wake to music, (hate buzzing alarms!), and my last alarm clock had 2 volume levels -off and LOUD! This allows me to wake at the perfect sound level. Minor negatives - really bright display, like a beacon at night (I cover it up), and I wish the cord was longer (not a big deal). I'm really happy with it.

I love this product. It is just the right size. It is on my end table by the bed and doesnt take up much room. By the picture it doesnt look too nice but when I got it I was surprised to see how nice it does look. I got it before the stated mail date. Stop! Before you buy this, look at the reviews this product has for the iPad (there were none here when we bought this). Overall only 2 stars, with half (73 of 150) reviews giving it just one star. Why? Because it is impossible to install!



First of all, it comes with just a tiny amount of "Shield Spray." My friend got the same amount of spray with the Zagg for her tiny iPhone. It was not nearly enough for a tablet. I used the entire bottle, but was unable to keep this thing wet enough to slide to the correct position.



Second, because you can't keep it wet, the adhesive grabs too quickily, not giving you enough time to work the bubbles out. This was a lot like taking one of your children's stickers and pressing it on and peeling it off again and again, hoping it happens to land in the right position.



This might have worked with a lot more spray. The instructional video Zagg has online (which I did watch first!) shows a larger bottle. I've tinted car windows before, and that is a lot easier than this because you can always add water to keep things wet. I've installed a few of these kinds of skins over the years; both Zagg and generic versions off ebay. The XOOM wasn't particularly difficult (I installed the full body version).



Remember to have lots of the fluid! The amount Zagg provides is not much for the size of the device. As such - make your own.



Put about 5 drops of CLEAR dish washing detergent like the clear green Palmolive in about 100-200 cc of water in a large bowl, stir a little but don't create too many bubbles. Dunk the plastic piece in there and then carefully install. Don't get fluid in the speaker/switch/microphone holes. Let it dry for at least 24 hours.



As for the Zagg skin... It is what it is, YMMV in terms of preference for the look/feel.

I too didn't have enuff juice to apply this correctly on my xoom. What was left was a bunch of bubbles, I thought (per the instructions) would work their way out, the real deal is that the wet bubbles will work out, especially with a squeege and some of the bad looking spots will look good after a couple of days. ONLY IF YOU HAVE ENUFF JUICE. Luckly I had a similar product for another device and it came with more than enuff juice (pack rats rejoice) which I used to redo the whole installation. It would have been happily ever after if I had spent more time keeping the screen clean during install, so a dog hair made it near the corner, I lifted the corner, removed hair and rejuiced and sqeegi'd the corner down, now there is a line where I pulled the cover back to. then I tried to pull the cover half way back (I was running out of juice) I was left with a line halfway down the screen and another one by the corner. I gave up and didn't even use it with the toilet as a practical joke. Make sure if you get this do it right the first time and use every drop or get more juice.

I got the Zagg invisibleSHIELD for Xoom after reading many reviews. Even though people claim the screen protector is not needed for the Gorilla glass, you don't want to take chance for such a pricey device. Application was a pain in the @$$ but it's worth it. The solution allows you to line up the shield properly because it can slide around. I have had bad experiences with just the hard sticky ones as it's a pain to line them up properly.



The online video helps a lot. Make sure to apply a generous amount of the solution. After the first day, there were about 4 bubbles and after 2 days they are all gone. No noticeable effects on the touch screen. Fingerprint smudges have gone down considerably too. I actually like the way the screen feels with the protector.

Motorola Xoom Zagg Protector:



I have purchased and installed Zagg products before. I was a little disappointed this time around with the quality and ease of installation. As always with ANY screen protector you have the challenge of overcoming bubbles, lints, and whatever else may be in the air that will get under the screen protector.



Upon receiving this product, I discovered most of the spray had leaked out of the container it was shipped in. This made installation difficult..

Also the protector did not give complete coverage from edge to edge. It was off a good 1/8" overall....

Overall the quality of material that offers protection is still great...



Overall I have never had a problem with the protection Zagg offers. The installation and fit has been what always varies..



It would be a great option if the mftr offered a professionally installed screen protector before shipping for a few dollars more...

I have been using Invisible Shield on my various electronics since 2006. This stuff is, by far, the best screen protector out there.



Pros:

-Stays on devices without peeling if applied correctly

-Takes a beating without scratching

-Free lifetime replacement



Neutral:

-A little bit of a process to apply it correctly, but when it is done right, it is worth it. If done wrong, it is replacable.



Cons:

If you don't use enough of the spray, you will get micto bubbles under the shield (I don't know about you, but they bother me)- USE SPRAY LIBERALLY!!!



The micro bubbles are bad enough to me for a loss on 1 star, but otherwise, I love this stuff, and I haven't found anything else out there that even comes close.

I have several android devices and I have other brands of protective films that I have installed so I feel that I have a good idea of what is easy and what is a pain.



The Xoom is a large device so I was really worried that it was going to be really hard and a big mess to install. Well, it wasn't! Actually this film went on really easy... I will warn you of a couple of things though... make sure you have a can of compressed air on hand and quickly blast your device BEFORE YOU put the film on! and of course have a clean lint free area to work BEFORE you peel the film off!!!! Use plenty of the spray both on your hands and on the film and it will be easy.



I started at the top and put the film on straight first, then once it was straight I peeled it up from the sides and sprayed it again on the film and squeegeed it from the middle to the edge, on each side. I ended up with a perfect mirror finish!

The Good- It is easier to get on and off than others I have used because the bottom strap fastens in the back instead of being pulled over your head. I like the fact that you can put different kinds of filters on it. I purchased some of the pink dust filters at the same time, and these can be used in place of the organic filters when I only need dust protection. It makes the mask a little lighter that way. Also, the white dust filters that come with the organic cartridges can easily be replaced when they become too dirty.



The Bad - It makes an annoying clicking or popping type noise sometimes. It comes from the valve that opens when you to exhale but closes when you inhale. It doesn't do it all the time, but it is very annoying when it does. I don't know if this is just a defective one or is a common problem. I suppose I should return it and see if the problem was just this one unit, but I don't use it that often and I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it. I purchased this to paint my car. It did an excellent job at keeping all the sanding debris out of my lungs. When I went to paint you could even smell the paint fumes. Excellent mask. Buy some extra pads for all those dust debris.

This is a comfortable respirator to wear. It comes with two pair of dust filters, as well as the pair of organic vapor filters. I have mainly used it as a dust filter for both plaster dust, and old insulation. It does a great job on the fine dust, and I do not have the problem of my glasses fogging up like I do with disposable dust masks. (I would not want to use them for this application anyway...)
