Garmin Mount - dashboard mount, garmin mount

I originally bought this for an older Garmin GPS C330 unit that I have, and it wouldn't fit...... wrong demensions.

I also tried this with my Nuvi GPS, and the fit was very tight.. thinking that it may damage the charging bars, I threw it away.

The pivoting head is very tight, to compensate for the lack of an adjustment screw.

The suction cup is stable enough for a standard light gps unit, but nothing more.

Pro's : Cheap priced

Con's : Cheap plastic, No charging capabilities Garmin - GPS receiver windshield mount

This is what I ordered:

Garmin - GPS receiver windshield mount

Sold by: Taradex Inc

Condition: new

Quantity: 1

$5.18 each

Item subtotal: $5.18

Sold by: Wacces

It arrived quickly, installed perfectly and now everyone wants one so I am going to purchase some more if I can get them. It's sturdy, easy to install, is unobtrusive, the Garmin clips in and out easily and I'm very happy with it.

Just what my GPS needed. After losing my first one, I needed a replacement. Of course, at retail they'll charge a hefty $30 price tag, so I was looking for a similar product at a meager price. Finding it here was a relief. Works just right; sticks to my windowshield and stays put. Just be sure to apply enough pressure against the glass, otherwise, the suction won't work. - Garmin Mount - Dashboard Mount - Gps Mount - Garmin Nuvi'

Bike Rack

I got 3 of these to carry our bikes on a 600 mile trip. They are very stable and the bikes did not sway at all (even my big trail bike). It does take some time to get the two bolts clamped down but the racks with the quick clamps are $150+. So for the price and occational use this carrier works great. I would give it a 5 but the clamp that hods the bike on needs better padding as to not scatch the bike (I fixed with some xtream tape). Aluminum Upright Car Roof Mounted Bike Bicycle Rack Carrier Light Weight

I bought two and this thing works! It took me sometime to 'figure out' the installation since the manual is in 'fine print' with hard to read diagrams (I am middle aged in my 40's, guess that didn't help:). Also, I am not so sure about the design of 2nd bot on the arm that holds the bike, why it can't be a quick release clip or something like that instead of a hard to twist nuts within the cap... Each time when I put my bike on the roof, I have to release the Cap of the bot then tighten it up and there are quite some twisting work to that cap. Other than that, the product hold's the bike just fine.

It's interesting that it has started to be rusty after about half a year. Aluminum shouldn't rust, or am I wrong? We put some chemicals on it to stop the rust, it works. The bike rack itself is a good design, it's really comfortable that you don't have to dismount one of the wheels in order to put it on the rack. You can easily mount it on in one piece, just need strong muscles to lift up the bike on top of the car.

I could not get this to fit on my pretty standard roof rack. I unsuccessfully tried to adapt it by buying some larger clamps at the hardware store. I get the feeling this is made in someone's garage. The price is right if you can make it work for you, but if you. It didn't work for me, and the seller graciously agreed to take it back, but I just kept it because it wasn't worth the hassle to send back, especially after I tried to modify it. I would touch base with them before ordering.'

Chair Exercises Dvd - martial arts, qigong

When purchasing this book/dvd combination, I was hoping to get an introduction to Tai Chi that I could practically evaluate and practice. Instead, what I received was a poorly veiled advertisement for the author's 4 DVD set of instructional videos.

While the book does contain certain valuable facts about Tai Chi (history, etc), this is not something that you can pick up and begin doing Tai Chi exercises within an hour. The DVD on the other hand is almost completely useless and while advertising the full length 4 DVD set - looks as if it were filmed in the author's living room with long curtains hiding his sofa.

I would not recommend this product. Two stars b/c the book isn't all that bad - but is not a practical application of Tai Chi - and that may have been my mistake. Complete Idiot's Guide to T'ai Chi and QiGong (Book & DVD)

I have been interested in Tai Chi and QiGong for many years. I found all of the books interesting but just could not get myself to follow through. This book is fun to read, very motivating and you REALLY do feel a difference. I have found the Sitting QiGong a wonder after work. I wish I could give it more stars!!!!! Hope he writes more books.

I picked up this book in hopes of improving my teaching abilities. While it didn't really contribute to this, it's a good book for beginners, despite some misstatements (A. The people you see in other tai chi books aren't models, they're usually model students, B. David Carradine didn't do Tai Chi in the 'Kung fu' TV series, he did Tai Chi Praying Mantis, which is a hybrid art, and C. the cover claims 'Highly Illustrated instuction on the major Tai Chi styles', whereupon the only illustrated instruction is in the Kuang Ping and Mulan styles). Otherwise, Mr. Douglas covers his subject pretty well, and is fairly well-informed. Great book for beginners, albeit a little too 'New Agey'.

Before I begin with my review, let me share a brief anecdote on tai chi: about a year ago, I was at a town watch meeting and met a retired gentleman who lives in my neighborhood. I am a qigong practicioner, and he practices tai chi. He told me that, for 20 years, he had chronic back pain. Then he began to practice tai chi, and within a few months he no longer had this back pain that he'd suffered every day for 20 years.

Now, you can accept the traditional chinese rationale for this relief, or you can rationalize it any other way you like, but the fact remains that many people, like this neighbor of mine, have benefited from tai chi and qigong. You can too.

Anyway, back to the book. This 2nd edition is of a larger format than the standard "Idiot's" books, and is well illustrated to show the various stances and movements in tai chi. Mr. Douglas' writing style is entertaining, and I found the book to be informative.

On the negative side, there were a few things I disagreed with. For example, the name of the taoist master Lao Tzu is pronounced, according to Mr. Douglas, as "Lao Dzoo". However, fellow taoist and qigong master Ken Cohen, who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, says it is pronounced "Lao Dzuh". I'm inclined to go with Master Cohen on this one, as he is a fluent speaker of Mandarin Chinese. Also, Mr. Douglas says in this book that the I Ching is a "game", which it most certainly is not.

However, despite these misgivings, I found the information related to tai chi and qigong to be well-written and helpful, and this book is a worthy addition to my bookshelf. If you are interested in qigong only, I would recommend "The Way Of Qigong", by the aforementioned Ken Cohen.

I have been studying Tai Chi for over 15 years and am the owner of my own Tai Chi school. I have often thought "I need to write a textbook for my new Tai Chi students" but I have never had the time. I am thrilled to say that I no longer have to do it because Bill Douglas has done it for me!!! I love it! I have found it to be an excellent resource and I am offering it to all of my students. Mr. Douglas is to be commended for his wonderful contribution. I think that his user-friendly format is ideal, his communication style effective, and his information is sound. If you are a beginner, this book will definitely help you to learn and understand Tai Chi. If you are an instructor, this book will make you a better teacher! Get it!

I consider Bill Douglas's "Complete Idiot's Guide to Tai Chi and Qigong" the "best book on the market for a beginner" precisely because it doesn't just teach a form. It does show one form, the Kwang Ping long form, in considerable detail; but the real value of the book is that it covers a lot of territory relating to tai chi and qigong quickly and amusingly.

The average westerner who decides to try tai chi knows very little about what he's getting into. Reading Douglas's book is one of the quickest ways to acquire a little background--something to help you understand what you hear in class, remind you of the things you couldn't take in because you were fully occupied trying to get the next movement, give you "enough to be going on with" in your own further reading--and tell you what to expect (and look for) in a class before you get there.

I don't know any other book that crams as much about as many different subjects relating to tai chi and qigong into as little space as painlessly. Jou's book, "The Tao of Taijiquan", while excellent, and one of the very few that, like Douglas's book seeks to go beyond style to what is essential to all styles of tai chi, is not exactly light reading. It will tell you much more in much greater depth than the average beginner is likely to sit still for or be able to understand or appreciate. Reading Douglas first is an excellent idea, and what I recommended to my students when I was a leading a tai chi practice group.

The comment has been made that the form described and pictured in this book is an unusual one that won't help you "fit in" to classes you might find more readily on various Yang forms, but for a real beginner (the "complete idiot" of the title), some examples were necessary, and Douglas quite reasonably used his own style. It isn't the one I do or taught in the practice group, but that doesn't make the bulk of Douglas's book irrelevant. Most of his material is general enough to be useful background for any style you choose--and if, like me, you choose a style that's so uncommon in your area you have to be very largely your own teacher, it's a great boon to find a book to help you fill the gaps in all that background information you, as your sifu with a fool for a student, didn't know to tell yourself to start with. - Martial Arts - Qigong - Consciousness - Taichi'

Automatic - tag heuer, watches

I have known TAG Heuer for years, but never had a chance to own one. Like most people, I first saw this watch displayed at a jewllery store. It was absolutely beatiful and amazing. and of course the price did shock me with over $7k retail price. the black titanium case with red stitching only makes it look even better. Not likely other expensive watch, this watch it's as heavy as I thought, and it's so comfortable to wear and fits my wrest so perfectly. As a sport watch, this is THE one. The price on amazon is unbeatable, and the amazon watch hot-line salesman explain every especial thing about this watch before I decide to buy it from them. The rubber band is very easy to adjust, and if you want a different, it's very easy to switch.(I think the leather costs about $500 each) And the watch arrived the next day. Thank you amazon.com for a great watch with great price. TAG Heuer Men's CAV518B.FT6016 Grand Carrera Automatic Chronograph Watch - Watches - Tag Heuer'

Carpet Protection

Good price on this product. Lowes has a simlarly priced product but doesn't stock the 200' roll, only the 50. Product seems to shrink a bit over time and isn't as tacky as others used. I haven't taken it up yet so I don't know if it leaves any sticky residue on the carpet. QEP 70-140 Protect-It Self Adhering Protective Film for Temporary Carpet Protection, 2-Feet x 200-Feet

I'm a sloppy painter, and laying this stuff down saved my carpets from disaster. The only downside is that it's hard to control for one person, especially edges and starting and stopping a line. Have someone help you when you put it down.

We use plastic film to protect the carpet under the kitchen table where our two small children eat. When Home Depot switched to this brand we started using it. It does not even compare to what they had before (I am not sure what the previous brand was). This stuff is very stretchy and doesn't stay down well. The previous brand could stay down for months at a time. This brand is coming up at the edges after a week.'

Power Supply - charger, power supply

Nothing makes a customer more mad than to buy something that just doesn't work. Well,....that's not the case here. This power supply is well made (durable) and performs to the specs supplied. I guess a person can take the risk of buying a variable output adaptor with the proper power pin configuration,...but why go to all that trouble? This product lives up to it's calling. Besides, who wants to keep changing batteries in the Stobe Tuner (Planet Waves) when this power adaptor is easy to plug in and forget. I gave it a 5-star rating because the price is fair, the product is well made and works, and it was shipped well within the promised time. By today's standards, that's as good as it gets.

DP Planet Waves 120V AC 9V Power Adapter

This is a really good adapter. I had no problems. I did have to return this item, but only because I had to return my keyboard and my new one needed a different one.

Camcorder - camcorder, 3d

I got this product and partially happy with it compared with my Sony TRV-340 digital8 camcorder.

Something I want to point out:

Features: I don't like the battery release button because it is at the bottom of the camcorder. When using it with tripod, it is very difficult to change the battery if tripod adapter is used unless the adapter is small or using FV-100 battery to avoid the problem.

Sound: It captures the sound quality very good and much powerful if zoom mic is enable.

Picture: It is good enough in standard video and quite good in 1080p capture. If viewing on the LCD panel, video quality is quite good for both formats. However, video quality looks too much brightness when viewing in computer or DVD player.

Manual low light mode (3LUX): It is a big surprise to me it works so well. Without any zoom in or out, I captured a clear video from the bed room using the light from the bathroom (light source 40W was about 6 feet way and pointed directly to the object behind the camcorder). But it is grainy if the zoom is used. It was also grainy if capturing a scene 15 feet away from the camcorder using light reflection, light source was about 10 feet behind the camcorder and pointed 90 degree angle. But I prefer to have it at 1.5-2 LUX.

Optical Zoom: 30x is so good and quiet.

Recording/Photo mode: Sometime it captures the photo while recording by itself in standard recording mode. It never happens in HD mode. It is weird but it is not hurting anything.(7/21/2011)

Auto focus: It is about ½ time slower compared to my digital8 in my opinion.

Auto Gain works automatically ONLY in playback mode when using LCD panel.

Overall I grade this camcorder(below $600) 4-4.5 stars at consumer level camcorder. If it has 3 CMOS sensor and 1.5 LUX, it is my 5 star camcorder($2000+). Sony HDR-XR160 High-Definition Handycam Camcorder (Black)

This is a great camcorder. Did a lot of research on the camcorders and this was the newer version of another great camcorder. Do not need a memory card as all info can be saved to the hard drive then transferred to your computer. Another great feature is it has a usb cord in the hand strap so you can easily connect to your computer to download or charge the battery.

This camera has very good zoom. I can see stuff through this camera that I cant see in real life with my own eyes. The picture quality is very good outdoors but indoors its a little grainy even on the highest quality recording. The camera captures audio very well and colors well too. The menu is very simple and easy to use and the software that comes with it is nice too. The hard drive is really helpful because you dont have to buy expensive memory cards. The battery life is about an hour and 40 min on the highest quality recording and the hard drive holds 16 hours on the highest quality. The camera is also very light and looks great. Only downside is that its kind of expensive and you might be able to find a camera with similar features thats maybe $100 less.

I haven't had it for too long, but I like the simplicity of the menu, great stabilization, and ability to take stills.

I haven't yet done much with the video files but I'm told that it's easy. The best thing is that even recording in HD, I can connect it to my standard TV and watch it. From what I've read that won't work if I make a HD DVD. What's amazing is I can even fit this camera in some large pants pockets.

I'm not a fan of Amazon's return system. They don't make it clear that if you return something (for instance because there's a loose piece in it) according to Amazon's policy, then you can't get the same thing in return. You only get a credit. If it was bought on sale, then you're out of luck when you only get a sale price credit.

I am very happy with this camera. We use it for typical family videotaping. The picture quality is excellent, and it works very well with iMovie. Imports into iMovie are very fast, at least 2X real time (i.e. import 10 minutes of video in 5 minutes or less) on my iMac. I am especially impressed with the image stabilization, as I am not a "steady handed" person. You would not know it with this camera, however.

I bought this camcorder after doing much research and am very pleased with it! We have used it to record sporting events at a great distance away. It zooms in beautifully (and quickly) and the sound quality is excellent due to the external mic. So far, we have used the camcorder principly during the day, so I cannot give a review of it in low lighting situations. However, I'm sure others have reviewed in that area. I also love the large internal memory of this camcorder. When the video is viewed on our Sony HD tv (which is very easy to do), the picture quality is as though you are watching the event live. It is utterly amazing! I simply cannot express how much we have enjoyed this camera!

This review isn't about a new purchase, I've had the hard drive camera for years, and was happy about everything about it. But I was really mad the other day when I took it to a concert (for the first time ever). The music was loud, like I was at a concert, but after a while the camera would shut off. I'd turn it on again but it would take about a minute or so to boot up again cause it kept stopping recording then writing info to the hard drive, then I'd have to repress the record button again but i've already missed about a minute of recording time while it was doing this. And it did this every several minutes or so. Next day I emailed sony and they said it wasn't a problem, these camcorders just do that when a protection circuit for the hard drive kicks in. It never did that before for me but this is the first time I had it around loud music. Boy was I mad, although in the end I bought a smartdisk camera from sony to replace this one cause I was so mad, supposedly they don't have this problem cause there's no moving parts (I actually emailed sony and asked them about it). The camera gave me good performance for years (which is why I bought another sony), it is just this one item I don't like about it, and that's one item i've never read about in sony's literature about this camera cause they don't tell you, but it happens. I wrote this review for a similar camera but this one is more like mine than that one so I deleted that review and wrote about this one (although they're both hard drive cameras so it won't make a difference, they still suffer from the same problem). - 3d - 1080p - High Definition - Camcorder'

Camera Accessories - battery, battery pack

I have been using my Canon PowerShot S30 camera for a couple of years now. When I purchased it, I also purchased an extra generic rechargeable battery pack to go with it. At the time I figured I would save the money and name brands are not always better. Looking back on it, I wish I sould have spent the extra $25 and gotten a Canon battery. The generic battery only lasts about a 1/4 of the time that my Canon battery does. Also after a couple of years of use my Canon is still running strong while my generic battery barely lasts at all. I am now getting ready to purchase a second battery for my Canon for a family trip in September and I will only be purchasing a Canon brand battery.

THE BOTTOM LINE: If you are going to be cheap and a penny pincher, then you are going to get a cheap worthless battery. If you want a battery that will keep its charge and that you can count on, buy a Canon battery. Canon NB-2LH Rechargeable Battery Pack for Rebel XT/XTi Digital SLR Cameras and VIXIA HV Series and ZR Series Camcorders (Retail Package)

This battery is long-lasting! I own two of them for my Digital Rebel XT camera!

I also (until recently) had the Canon S50 camera and the battery did very well with it!

This battery seems to charge very fast too!

I think it is well-worth buying 2 of them, but the battery lasts so long that you can easily get by with only one!

If you use AI focus along with an IS lens a lot make sure you buy about 4 of these if you plan to shoot for more than a few hours in a day without recharging. I can get about 1,000 pictures out of two when used with the Rebel XT and battery grip when I am not using AI focus. But with AI activated I have been left without any juice on several occasions. That is why I ordered two more of these, to make sure I can get 3-4 hours of AI focus shooting without having to recharge.

With all the recent news about Chinese knockoffs of digital camera batteries, especially on Ebay, getting genuine Canon batteries is a priority for me. Why try to save a few dollars on an off-brand battey and risk burning up the expensive camera? Not worth it to me.

Plus the Canon batteries have the capacity and life-span that you expect.

Pay the extra amount so you don't have to worry about damaging your camera.

I got an extra battery for my new Canon Digital Rebel XTI. The battery charges in one to two hours, takes hundreds of pictures, and lasts (at least) weeks in standby mode. In 6 weeks and over 400 pictures, I have charged the battery that came with the camera once, charged the spare, and the spare is now in the camera, still showing full charge. Quite a change from even a couple of years ago when digital camera batteries took 50 pictures or so and lost charge in a few days.

I know people who have gotten 3rd party products for other Canon cameras (not this one) and these did not work. The Canon is more expensive, but I consider it worth the extra.

I've been using these in the Rebel XT since about two weeks. On Friday I went to a show at a local bar and took about 600 shots in medium to low light conditions (just small stage lights lighting up the band) and finally killed the battery after about 2 1/2 hours/600 shots.

What else should I say? Just imagine you are running out of battery during a precious trip you planned a long time. For my XTi, each pack can take at least 400 photos with 10% flash usage. The recharging only takes about 1 hours.

I spend several days at a time in the forest on horseback - no convenient way to recharge a battery pack. I have a Rebel XTi and have yet to run out of power whether shooting wildlife during the day or around the campfire at night. Great peace of mind and a great product. - Photography - Battery Pack - Battery - Digital Rebel'

Sound Effects - sound design, film making

Review by: Sable Jak

This is not a book to simply glance through and then put on your shelf and pull out now and then. If you're involved in sound at all, I doubt you could do that. This is a book to carry with you in the field, have next to your computer, in your editing suite and taped to your cereal box so you can read it while you have breakfast.

There is so much information in this thing I don't even know where to begin, so I'll tell you a little set-up information first:

I recorded my own audio drama serial last year (2008) and I wish I'd had this before I started. It sure would have helped stop a lot of stumbling and fumbling around. At the same time, it's more than a little nice now and then to find a piece of information in it that lets me know I did something right... on occasion.

Viers knows his business. He's worked in film, radio, television and video games for years. According to his bio he's one of the world's largest independent providers of sound effects, with over 150,000 sounds and 150 sound libraries. He's also created sound libraries for large companies.

He's taken all that experience and crammed it into 326 fully-loaded pages. He starts out by explaining what sound effects are, from natural to manufactured to designed. Why start with such a basic? Because he's all about understanding what you're doing. So, if the chapter on the science of sound may seem like it's reiterating an old science class, remember; who among us can't benefit from a refresher course?

Not being mechanically/technically inclined I appreciated his information on microphones and their accessories, and even how to put together a portable recording package. In addition to helping you build your own Foley stage (complete with pictures, yippee) he covers studio equipment, recording in the field, recording Foley and working with a database. There's so much information it's hard to absorb it all. I'd like to say it's best taken in small increments, and for someone who works best by doing, it is, but at the same time, there's so much here you want to keep reading in case the next page contains something vital to your current project. However, keep in mind the book is laid out so you can quick reference specific needs without having to wade through unrelated information.

I have to say, some of the hard core technical information is a little hard for me to understand, even though it's written very clearly. But the more I read, the more I work on projects and the more I use this book, the more I will, and do, understand. I say this because to me it seems that Viers knows that having a good reference guide at hand is always a help, no matter how much you do or don't know.

In short, I highly recommend this book.

Author: Writing the Fantasy Film The Sound Effects Bible: How to Create and Record Hollywood Style Sound Effects

Ric has done a great job by putting into his book years of personal experience in creating and editing sound effects. It's very accessible and comprehensive, and is a real must for anyone who wants to make their own sound effects. This Bible is a wonderful companion to my own book Sound Design in ways that are extremely practical and hands on. Thank you Ric!

I know almost nothing about actually creating or recording sound effects... but after reading The Sound Effect Bible, I felt like I could grab a mic and do it. (Which is total self-delusion, but still-- I FELT like I did.) This is a terrific book for anyone about to produce their own film or go to work in a post department... a comprehensive, easy-to-read, accessible reference guide.

Although I have worked as a studio engineer for recording music I never could have imagined the extreme differences when working on sound design and Foley recording. Making the switch over to sound effects was not as easy as I originally thought it would be, until I began catching up on my research starting off with this book. The Sound Effects Bible was clutch for me in the design field, providing me with a wealth of information and not over complicating the process. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is about to take the plunge into creating sound effects.

Great book. Gives you plenty of info on everything from how sound works, how to build a studio, reviews/advice on which gear to buy at different price points, how to create different sound effects and general tips and tricks of the trade. A great book to have and an easy read. If you're thinking of making a movie or going into the sound business Don't do Anything until you buy this book, or steal someone else's.

I once watched Ric Viers captivate an entire room with his stories about sound, sound editing, and sound effects. We were on a panel together, speaking to University Film and Video teachers about "new methods of teaching digital video."

When I later read The Sound Effects Bible I thought to myself that it could easily be called the "sound bible." Before talking about sound effects, Ric gives a great explanation of sound recording techniques, microphones and recorders... everything in the recording chain. His explanation of microphone types is one of the clearest and most concise that I've found.

The Sound Effects Bible is filled with Ric's enthusiasm, passion and entertaining stories. It's no wonder that he has become the world's largest supplier of sound effects! I especially liked the story of how he accidentally destroyed the junk yard owner's TransAm with a sledge hammer while recording car-crash sound effects.

(Ric is probably jumping up and down yelling at me right now, "This isn't a SOUND BIBLE, you MORON!" I suspect that Ric's idea of a proper sound bible would run about 2,000 pages... Sorry, Ric!)

Office Supplies - canon, cl-41

This cartridge is working well for me, but you don't get a whole lot of printing out of it. I'm used to B/W laser printers where I change cartridges every several years! Here I think I'll need a new color every month and a new B/W every two month. I think the model 41 has larger capacity than the slightly cheaper model 31. I previously tried a third party refill for this type of cartridge. Not only did the colors come out wrong but it did not communicate properly to the computer that the ink cartridge was full. I guess I'll stick with the Canon originals. 5 stars except for VERY frustrating how limited the capacity is for the price. POSTSCRIPT FEB 2008: I WOULD CHANGE THIS REVIEW TO ONE STAR IF AMAZON WOULD LET ME. THE INK RUNS OUT SO FAST ITS BIZARRE. CANON MAKES SUCH GREAT CAMERAS, WHY CAN'T THEY MAKE A MORE EFFICIENT PRINTER? Canon CL-41 Color FINE Ink Cartridge

The price at Amazon was the best I could find at the time I was shopping for this product. I have decided that using anything other than genuine ink products made by the company that made the printer (no matter which brand) could contribute to my printers not lasting as long as I think they should! What I do like about Amazon shopping is no shipping and handling over $25 in purchases and no state tax and I do factor that in when doing my comparison shopping. What I also really like about Amazon is their fast shipping and good communication about the shipping!

I purchased this after I had a problem with other manufacturer's compatible inks, which color quality wasn't as great as original and ink spit on papers unevenly. I ended up buying original Canon inks, but it worth it.

I've been using this ink for over a year, I only buy OEM and from Amazon. I've never had any problem with delivery or quality of the product. I'm always satisfied with Amazon. The color is great, it dries quickly and doesn't smear. I get high quality photos every time. I do use Kodak Premium Photo paper, it does make a difference. Don't buy cheap photo paper.

Canon has made it almost impossible to use recycled ink cartridges. They are not alone. There should be an economical and environmentally friendly alternative to the monopoly on providing ink that is now held by the manufacturer. Just think if you buy a car and could only buy gas from the car manufacturer!

After being "ripped off" for years, finally decided to purchase another printer. The Canon ink cartridges are MUCH too expensive and they need to be replaced MUCH too often.

Now, I have a Epson and I no longer have that problem. Have the Epson Stylus NX215 All in One printer and although I've only had it a short time, I can already tell that I've solved the problem w/ Canon. Also, with the Epson, I can keep track of the ink use for each color.

I only got about 10 pages of print out of this cartridge. It unfortunately took me 3 weeks to get to those 10 pages, so upon complaint to Amazon, I was told nothing could be done. I am sticking with BLACK ONLY printing. It seems to work find and I am getting ample pages (at least 50 so far). I bought the black cartridge locally, I suggest you do the same.

I've been using the same printer with the same cartriges (not the same cartriges literaly, I mean, I run out and buy another... you know what I mean) for about 3 years now and never had a problem, hopefully it stays that way! - Cl-41 - Canon - Pixma - Printer Ink'
