Universal Laptop Ac Adapter - chargers, laptop power adapters

I wrote a review the day it arrived, but now I'm revising it. PLEASE READ!

It arrived on time, and it worked great, but IT BROKE AFTER ITS FIRST USE! The round metal tube on the adapter head that plugs into the laptop broke off the adapter head after I unplugged it from my laptop. In fact, the tube tip was still stuck in my laptop port!

The reason why I gave the instruction manual 3 out of 5 stars is because a couple of the the black and white pictures were hard to understand. The contrast was way too dark, making it difficult to see which part goes where.

As for portability, it's a bit on the heavy, clunky size. Measurements for the black bar: 5 1/2" (14 cm) X 2 1/4" (5 1/2 cm) X 1 1/4" (2 3/4 cm). Weight of black bar: 9 1/4 oz. (265 g).

In short: DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

I ended up going to Best Buy and bought the ROCKETFISH TRAVEL LAPTOP AC POWER ADAPTER KIT for $40. Yes, it's more expensive, but it comes with 10 adapter heads, works great, and it's much more slim and lightweight than this one. This item is a piece of junk! The cord it came with didn't even work, I had to use my own cord. Then after a couple weeks, it started smoking and the power unit itself started melting. I would return it, but the cost to return it makes it not worth returning. Terrible terrible item.

It does bend easily,I will give people that one.If you drop it a lot or step on it, it will break or bend.Caution is always needed with everything(specially this thing, since the metal part of the adapter is very cheap and the price is cheap too).naturally you know that the quality is NOT going to be the same.The adapters could be numbered or labeled to show which one is which, but it really isnt a huge issue.It doesn't take hours to find the correct adapter.I recommend this product IF you need a temporary charger(3-6 months maybe?). EX. a college student who is tight on money and wants a quick replacement till they get their paycheck.DON'T expect this to be an actual replacement of your original charger.You will end up spending more money replacing these than getting an original charger at your local computer store.

Do not buy this product. I bought it because I needed a universal charger for my HP laptop and didn't want to pay the $75 as many other customers have stated. I regretfully ignored the poor reviews of this product because of the low price. The first time I used this product the "box" part got so hot that it actually melted and left a dark black spot on my wood table. Had I not smelt the melting plastic and unplugged the cord my house could have easily caught fire. PLEASE do NOT buy this item. Not only is it a bad product but it is unsafe and should be pulled from the market. I will be contacting the CT Attorney General regarding this matter.

I bought the universal charger for my computer and used it for 2 days and it completely stopped working. There is a green light that should light up when its plugged in and it doesn't light up or charge my computer. Faulty merchandise.

My old Dell charger completely stopped working, so i went to Fry's and found an 80 dollar universal charger, works great, but still wanted something cheaper so i bought this "universal" charger, hoping i can still return the expensive one. So it came without the little sticks shown in the picture that was supposed to hold the set volt that you pick, then looking at the crappy instruction manual, it just tells me to pretty much plug in whatever fits. Then the worst part; NOTHING fitted. Dell was specifically listed in item description, but it does not fit!! I want my money back, this was a waste of money. On the other hand, it does fit my Toshiba laptop, but I don't even need it for that one!

I bought this universal adapter after looking at other versions at my local electronics store that cost over $100. I'd also looked into odering a replacement adapter from the company that manufactures my computer and again, the cost was too high. So... I decided to give this one a try and I'm glad I did. I've owned it for about 10 months now and never had an issue. It was easy to use right out of the package and came with many sizes of tips so that I could find exactly the right one to use. I saved the others, though, after my mother-in-law needed to use it on her machine. I highly recommend it.

Well one thing I will say about this ac adapter is the price is very reasonable. The one issue I had with it was the tips aren't very durable. They are easily bendable and I wish I had known this before I purchased this item. I've only had this for a few days and already I've had problem with the tips bending easily. Stretching Exercise - body ball, fitness

This was big enough to use as a chair, but I went back to the standard office chair after the novelty wore off. I use this mostly to just bend backwards and chill out. The pump that came with it was easy to use, but I think I read others had problems. Not sure why. It's a good size (I'm 5' 8") and I wouldn't want a smaller one. How much can you say about a ball? It deflates for storage. Can be rolled out of way for those that don't want to lift it. If you drop it, it won't break. Oh well, don't take my word for it. The 75cm Valeo Body Ball ("burst resistant" per the box) performed faithfully for seven months until it ruptured yesterday. I am 6'4", 200# and was prone using two 10# dumbbells when it burst beneath me and dropped me face first on the smooth concrete floor. The tear was nearly fully circumferential around the middle of the ball. Fortunately, I only had a couple of small abrasions. The ball had no previous damage, leak or or other warning sign of weakness or impending failure. It was replaced with a more expensive, stronger ball that is now used with a thick foam exercise mat underneath.

Like C. Richards, below, my ball burst after less than a year of light use. I wasn't seriously hurt, but it was a fairly ridiculous spectacle. There's no reason the material should fail so quickly if it's not being misused and abused.

I am 6'2 and use this for problems with my back. Had no problems with the ball. You don't have to blow it up all the way and can adjust it to your required size. The pump works just fine. Better than having to go to a store and buy one seperately.

I ordered a 75cm ball but the arrived ball is at most 65cm.

I am too lazy complainning or returning so I have to live with it. I am only 5'4'' so it is fine for me but my hubby is 6' and he could use a real 75cm ball. Otherwise the product is fine. We all love to sit on it watching TV ! We also do free weights on it and other routines.

I paid about $12 for this ball and it was a great bargin for the price. I have seen similarly priced balls sell at about $20. Included in the packaging is a foot pump which is very handy (this was not listed in the description when I bought the ball). The only reason that I am giving this product a four star rating is because it has a tendency to deflate more quickly than other excercise balls I have used in the past.

My main purpose is to use this to stretch out my abs before my intense ab workouts. I just lay on top of the ball facing up until I am like a "bridge". I did not measure this ball so I am not sure if it is 75mm or 65mm but it is the RED ball that I ordered. This "75mm" ball does seem smaller than the 75mm ones at the gym. This red ball could well be 65mm as others have stated here on Amazon.

The ball stinks bad when you first take it out of the box to blow it up but after a while it airs out and you will be fine. - Fitness - Body Ball - Stability Ball - Exercise'

10lb Weights - hand weights, 10lb weights

I was disappointed when I opened the package to find 1 dumbbell since most dumbbells are sold in pairs. The dumbbell itself came as described but thought it was pricey to pay $20 for just one. Now I am forced to buy a second dumbbell and noticed the price went up to $28- no thank you! Body Solid Tools BSTVD5 5-Pound Vinyl Dumbbell (Blue)

I always read the reviews. I didn't. Just like everyone else was very surprised to find only one dumbbell! Why would anyone want just one dumbell? Dont dumbbells come in pairs? Felt this was very deceiving!!!!

I ordered 4 sets of Body Solid vinyl dumbbells from Sam's Club online and their prices are unbelievable! One 5-pound weight is selling for $5.58, which is 50% less than what Amazon is selling them for. The only bad thing about buying online from Sam's Club is that they charge state tax and shipping & handling. However, it was still cheaper to purchase the dumbbells from Sam's Club than Amazon, even with paying the extra money for tax and shipping. Apparently, Sam's Club gets the weights directly from the manufacturer. I was very pleased with their packaging job. They actually double-boxed the weights and included a lot of packing material. I made the mistake of ordering a set of Body Solid dumbbells from Amazon and they came all beat up. They hardly put in any packing material to cushion the weights.

If you're a member of Sam's Club, go to their online website and set up an account with your membership number. I ordered a lot of different neoprene dumbbells before settling on a brand (Valeo, Cap Barbell sold at Walmart, Savasa, Embark brand sold at Target). I have been the most impressed with the quality of the Body Solid vinyl dumbbells. I was hesitant about purchasing vinyl because I was afraid of chipping, but these things are so heavy duty that they seem impervious to almost anything. They're also much easier to clean with anti-bacterial wipes than neoprene. I also like that the colors match each other there isn't a discrepancy between the shades (i.e., the two blue dumbbells match each other). Another point about these dumbbells is that the handles are not too thick, even as the dumbbells get heavier in weight. For example, the handles of the 12 lb. dumbbells aren't so bulky that they're more difficult to hold compared to a lighter set of dumbbells. Best of all, there's no funky odors! I like that I can use the weights and my hands don't smell funny afterwards.

I'm going back to order more pairs from Sam's Club. A word of caution -- just like Amazon, they sell the dumbbells individually, so make sure to put 2 of them in your cart. Sam's Club shipped them via FedEx (ground is the cheapest) and I still received them in about 4 days. Enjoy!

Now, really. Why on earth would any manufacturer sell only dumbbell? And, for $1.50 more, I can get TWO dumbbells from another company. Many other reviewers were much more understanding about this, but I am not. Amazon's description is mis-leading and needs to be corrected. The company selling these needs to get with the program.

What a disappointment! This weight comes in singles, which makes it much more expensive than I had anticipated (I did not read the fine print). It's a total rip off considering that others sell their weights in sets of two.

I'm returning 1 dumb bell. Ad is very misleading it appears as

if you are buying 2 weights. Shame on them for trying to decieve their customers.

While the quality of the weight seems to be good, i am very unhappy with the fact that this was deceiving. The title of the product states" Body-solid Vinyl Dumbells", not dumbell! therefore it's reasonable to assume you have added a pair of dumbells in your cart upon purchase. who would want only one dumbell?????? i was very anxious to receive my package, and after opening I was extremely dissapointed and shocked! why would i want 1 dumbell??? i was under the impression that this was a pair ,which seems like a good price. At this price, shipping me 1 dumbell, in the efforts to make me buy another one for the full price is plain old deceiving..... very unhappy. I don't expect this kinda of thing to take place on Amazon.com; it reflects badly on Amazon and the seller. Too bad, because if i had been told the price of the Pair from the beginning, i would have loved to buy them.

Hammer Drills - hammer drills, lithium-ion

I bought this drill to replace my Dewalt DC925, which fell off a roof and landed in a big nasty mud hole, I just figured the drill was toast and ordered a new one, saved the 925 for salvageable parts. The DCD950 and the DCD970 are the EXACT same drill except the clutch ring, which is black on the 950 and silver on the 970. The difference is the batteries that are included 950 has the XRPs and 970 has the new NANO's(lithium-ion). OK, back to the comparison

Pros of the DCD970/950 VS. the DCD925

1. Much Better balance

2. More power in both low and mid-range(Dewalt says the DC925 has 480 unit watts vs the DCD970's 450, but the DCD970 is more powerful

3. WAY smoother speed selector (moves back and forth, not in an semi-ellipse like the 925)

4. L.E.D light on front

5. Shorter in length

6. Drill/screw/hammerdrill, various clutch settings are no longer on the same ring, clutch now has its own ring.

Cons of the DCD970

1. Due to pressure from a group of so called "tool users" who ONLY seem to care about aesthetics, Dewalt changed the base to the new nano style, which means if you actually use the drill it only has space for one bit on the front and WILL Not hold a screw guide or short nutsetters very well, whereas the old style base could fit a screw guide for TEK screws on one side and a 1/4" and 5/16" short nutsetters for tapcons on the other side.

However, overall the DCD970/950 is a excellent drill and deserves 4.75 stars, if Dewalt would change the base it would be a 5 star item, but that will never happen thanks to people who care more about how a tool looks rather than how well it works.

I cleaned off my old DC925 and put in a fresh battery and the thing works!! Well now I have two, I guess that is what I get for asuming things, oh well I like the DCD970 better anyway. DEWALT DCD970KL 18-Volt XRP Lithium-Ion 1/2-Inch Hammerdrill/Drill/Driver Kit

I must have purchased and worn out a half dozen Dewalt drills over the past decade. Some where great units, others where very cheap quality. They were all 18V. So this time I took the time to research the Dewalt line up and not just grab whatever Home Depot was peddling. I also decided to stick with 18V since I had so many other tools of that series. This has got to be the perfect drill. The drill chuck is all metal, holds super tight and is of a machine tool quality. The transmission is 3 speed and the whole unit just has a very rugged feel. The power is awesome. While not scientific, this thing must have at least 50% more torque and power then my previous drills. I can drive 3.5" deck screws into dry wood using high speed and cut a 4" hole saw into wood using medium speed. I even mixed a 5 gal pale of drywall mud with a beater using the low speed. This thing is almost on par with my 1/2" dewalt corded drill. The other nice thing is that the lithium ion battery seams to hold its power right up to the last second. Then the battery just shuts itself off. This scared me the first time. I was really torquing the drill and I thought I had blown something. But that is just how the battery operates.

The only negative is that the drill is heavier then I have been used to. Of course this is offset by the lighter battery but you might be disappointed if you are looking for a feather weight. It also seams to be a little bit longer then some of my other drills of this style by about 3/4 inch. Getting in between studs seams to be a little tighter then I'm used too. But this drill also includes a hammer feature and it is way shorter then my previous hammer drills.

Over all I'm very happy with this drill and was very impressed with its performance.

This is a must have tool for any type of home remodeling job. It's extremely durable and lots of power. I use this drill with the old NiCad XRP batteries and works great. The Dewalt tools are great for being backwards and forwards compatible with batteries. Batteries are a big thing. Dewalt is considerate of past purchases and current purchases in regards to the battery compatibility. Bottom line, if you are planning on making a purchase on a long lasting drill, Dewalt has the durability and strength that most drills do not have.

UPDATE May 4, 2011: This is a comment on the Lithium Ion batteries - DON'T CARE FOR 'EM. I've been using a couple of Li-ion batteries right along side my old NiCd XRP batteries and I gotta tell ya, the NiCd batteries are preferred. The Li-ions die suddenly and I hate that. Ever need just a little more time from your dying battery? You know, where you're thinking, just let me drive this one last screw or drill just one more hole. Forgettabout it with Li-ion. They are designed to die suddenly. It's a computer chip thing in the battery to protect it from overheating. They will work consistently until they suddenly die. I find that more annoying than dealing with a discharging NiCd battery's slow death. I do prefer the lighter weight and smaller size of the Li-ion, but that's it. I also do not like how sensitive Li-ion is to temps. They are nowhere near as indestructible as NiCds. Heat is very bad to Li-ion. So much for leaving them in the garage or truck in the summer here in the desert.

I don't expect to be buying anymore Li-ion batteries. I'm sticking to the NiCd XRPs until something better comes along. Li-ion just has too many shortcomings...especially at twice the price of NiCds.

I switched to DeWalt cordless tools about 5 years ago from Craftsman and Makita. Is DeWalt better? I don't know. Tools change so often, especially those tools that needed improvement like Craftsman and Makita. All of my cordless DeWalt tools have great power and just keep going. The 970 is no exception.

I can honestly recommend the DeWalt 18 volt XRP cordless tools. Don't confuse this with the homeowner product line.

The Lithium batteries are so much lighter and smaller than the NiCd ones. I look forward to them coming down in price and I REALLY look forward to the retirement of all things NiCd.

Whatever cordless tools you go with, I suggest you stick with one brand. That way, you need only carry one charger and one brand of batteries. That's a real convenience.

Fishing

This otherwise fine book suffers from the lack of meaningful illustrations, particularly with respect to casting. Verbal descriptions of casting procedures are impossible to follow; Burnley's descriptions are no exceptions. This book is apparently not for the novice, in that there few pictures or descriptions of surf fish species (if there was a single picture of a blue, then I must have missed it). More and better illustrations of standard rigs would be helpful. And why did he include a 3-page, 8-step illustration of the Bimini twist knot, when he went on to explain that it is seldom used in actual fishing conditions? On the plus side, Burnley hits about all related topics, from lunch to tackle, from buckets to buggys, from Maine to Florida. It is very well written, obviously from his own significant experience. As either a guide or a fishing buddy, Eric Burnley is probably one heck of a good teacher. Surf Fishing the Atlantic Coast

I have been fishing since I was 12 years old and now I'm 32 but of all these years, I've never tried surf fishing. I found this book in my local Barnes and Nobel but am an avid user of Amazon so I had to come on here and give this book a stellar rating. I am heading off the Outer Banks of North Carolina this weekend and just purchased my first Surf Rod/ Real and tackle. I did not want to go into this spot blindly and come out disappointed. This book is LOADED with information and will bring the novice/beginner fisher up to date with terms, equipment, and techniques. Not only does it cover techniques, knots, hooks, rods, reels, but it also has a chapter on Fish and tells you all about the fish and best suggestion on how to land them on the beach. It also has a chapter about locations. It mentioned Duck North Carolina and that happened to be the exact location my trip is planned for so I am extremely pleased with book. I have not even cast my line out yet but I feel like I've been surf casting for 10 years now. If these is one thing I dislike, it's when you walk into a shop such as a tackle shop and you have no clue what your buying and then make faces and suggestions but who knows if your getting sound advice or not. Now I can walk the tackle shop in NC and say, I'd like to purchase a pencil popper lure for blue fish or do you happen to have any Hopkins style lures. The only con to this book is that it was published in 1989 so not sure if all the location information even applies anymore since Hurricane Floyd took care of NC in 1998. If you want to learn how to Surf Fish and feel like a pro and walk onto the beach with some confidence, read this book. You will not be sorry.

I recently moved from the midwest and bought a house near the Atlantic Ocean. A lifelong freshwater fisherman, I decided to take advantage of my proximity to the ocean and bought this book to get some background and info. Nothing will teach you about surf fishing like buying some gear and just going (perhaps with a few helpful tips from the people at the Sporting Goods store), but there is a great deal of information in this book that the neophyte may find interesting and/or useful. Topics in this book including bait, tackle, casting, and knots. There are two particularly useful sections in this book though. In one section, EB describes how understading various underwater features such as sand bars can be the difference between success and failure. He outlines where fish are likely to hover around such features and why, and how the surf angler can spot such features. Second, there is an extensive section that discusses the best surf fishing areas of each of the Atlantic states. This may be the most useful, even for veteran surf fisherman, if you are planning on travelling up or down the coast. I wouldn't put too much weight on some of the negative reviews about this book. Who would learn to cast from reading a book? As for Burnley being a jerk, that may well be true, but Robert Ruark was an abusive alcoholic who wrote some of the greatest outdoor literature ever penned. A useful reference for anyone surf fishing the Atlantic (particularly for a newbie), and a fine addition to any fisherman's library.

Some of us need an excuse - or at least an objective - in order to go out and face nature in its real, raw form. One of the purest forms of these endeavours is surf fishing. What the author describes here is a sport that can put you on a cold, wild beach in October, face to a raging surf, going manu a manu with a fish that may be as strong as you are. Recreating the ancestral challenges we all once faced to put food on the table doesn't get any more real than this.But there is no romance or deep reflection about the nature of things or why fly-fishing is like life in this book. It's nuts and bolts. And its about real surf fishing - not dropping a line while your at the beach. And its filled with the kind of information that - if you are really going to do it - you are really going to need.And remember - deflate those tires or they may never find you.

Not a bad book if you want to catch sharks and skates. I can tell you after moving to the NE coast from Australia, this book does not go into the best methods for surf fishing the atlantic coast, much of which can only be learnt through hours on the beach and pure chance events, such as pulling in an expert's rig by accident and seeing how it's set up!!

Good book with some good hints....but if you're looking for real advice on how to land some crocker for your pan or a flounder or two, well you won't find it in this book or any other for that matter.'

Neck Warmers - cycling, motorcyling neck warmer

It's more tube shaped than it looks on the picture. Great quality product, really protects against cold air when riding, and the thing is light as a feather so you can leave it on with no problems, surprisingly, it does not slip down when you put your helmet on, but it's not vein-occluding tight, great buy. This neck gaiter is exactly what I needed for my hiking and camping to finish out my warm gear. I had tried balaclava's but found them restrictive. This was perfect. I could bunch it around my neck comfortably or pull it up over my face and be quite happy. It was warm and cut the wind. I have no complaints.

When heading outdoors with the Chinook Necktube you are definitely protected from the cold!

We purchased this amazing amazon deal because of all of the five-star reviews. This is really the best cold weather accessory, that we just do not want to be without.

Warning: We didn't feel the cold winter air when 'tested above zero degrees fahrenheit.' ;-)

This is a great product, at a great price. It ships first class, so expect to get it very soon. It also looks great too, throw on a hoodie and there is no such thing as cold! I hated breathing in the cold air when walking outside during the Winter, and scarfs were too big and would always fall. This is the perfect winter accessory. I definitely reccomend this!

I bought this on amazon on a whim and hoped it would assist my walks in winter not just from cold inhalation, but from smoke from fireplaces, that drive my asthma and allergies bananas.

Well to my delight its perfect! It does filter the smoke out but you can still breath, some masks are too much..this is perfect.

If you place it carefully and dont up breath up a lot wont fog your glasses much either, unlike an old scarf.

It is plenty large too, I have a fat head and its actually a tad lose on me but still does the job just fine.

Anyway its awesome hope they come back in stock!

I figured it would be close to the neck gaiter I was issued in the army, it's fine product but just too short for my head or my liking. I use to be able to have my army one cover my face, pull the top over my head and still have it cover my neck. If it pull it over my head the back of my neck gets exposed. I love this pant! I had first tried the top stitch pant which fit my body a bit too big because I am built very narrow with thin thighs and have a small bum. I called the company and they recommend this pant for my build and what a fit! Very figure flattering, great quality and comfort and THEY ARE LONG ENOUGH!!! This pant fits tighter in the bum and hips and thighs which, for me is great. This company has different fitting pants for different figures and heights which is a God send! The customer service was great about doing the exchange and I ended up buying more pants and the same style in shorts. I highly recommend this company! They named the company well. Call them if you have questions about what would fit your body, they are very helpful. Oh, the flared bottom fits over your tennies which is much more attractive than the leg bunched up on top. These pants fit as they should. I love to wear yoga pants when I do cardio, so I got this pair to replace some others that had worn out. I have to say that I do not know why they are as expensive as they are...after just 4 washes the seam came undone on the inside of the lower left leg. This is after regular wear and nothing unusual done in the pants...also in an area that doesn't even touch the leg, so I am baffled as to why this happened other than they weren't sewn properly to begin with.

I hand-stitched the seam back together, but I am really disappointed that I paid $50 for a pair of pants that I had to repair so quickly after purchasing. Until now, I have worn Bally Yoga pants that were MUCH less expensive, and they lasted at least 4 years before showing any signs of wear.

I like this look of this product so I ordered it, with Amazon's recommendation that I purchase the dividers as well, I can't believe I didn't read the product description to notice that the dividers came with it! Either way, now I have approx 50 right, middle and left tab dividers and 2 sets of printed label stickers. I agree with a previous poster that the categories don't really make sense to me, and I don't like that they are numbered and in alphabetical order. I feel like if they weren't numbered then I would reorganize them to coordinate with my supermarkets aisles, but with all my extra dividers and some blank stickers I will do some reorganizing after a few trips to the grocery story. Item was shipped USPS and arrived in only 3 days, so great shipping!

My coupon holder is great! I love it! It comes with about 12 dividers which is nice for organizing. I think that it is a good value for the money. The only thing I don't really like about it is that I don't think all of the categories make the most sense. That is really not too big of a deal though because the labels come separate and you stick them on yourself so you could actually make your own categories if you wanted. All in all it is a great product!

The organizer came very quickly. Much quicker than anticipated. I love it as it has made using coupons very convenient. The size was perfect for me. I am no a "super" coupon user but now I am using them more frequently since they are organized.

Susan Samtur is the coupon queen and has previously written Cashing in at the Checkout; and appeared on many TV shows giving breathtaking demonstrations of saving money at grocery store checkouts. This book will show you how and convince you that it is worth doing. My only complaint is that, having been a confirmed coupon, sale, rebate user for years, I cannot agree on the little amount of time it takes her to accomplish her amazing goals.

For those of you that feel $20 saved on every $100 spent is terrific, she can show you how to save more, and even if you do not use all of her methods, including saving proofs of purchases and squashed boxes for rebates you can still bank much more than you are doing.

There are great hints for filing and storing and using coupons. She has charts on how to save more money at supermarkets with sales and coupons than at the super stores with bulk items - something that will come as a surprise to many shoppers.

There are web sites to get coupons, including hers and major manufactures and stores. She gives good hints on marketing techniques and the store's practice of moving goods around, so you have to spend longer looking for items and may be tempted to purchase other items.

If you are already a dedicated, organized coupon user, rebate mailer there is probably not much new for you in this book. However, if not you can probably use these hints and determination to save money. This would also make a good gift for those just graduating or starting to live out on their own, even if they have watched you- the supper shopper for years. If you like paying for everything offered, then this book might be for you. I find that in order to take advantage of this book, one must purchase from Susan many other things. Nothing is free. I much prefer the Coupon Mom book. She charge nothing and has a great set up.

So, if you want to spend bucks to get into couponing go ahead and follow susan samtur.

Written by the original coupon queen, there was little I learned from this book that I couldn't learn from the Internet. There are better books about couponing than this. The author directs the reader to her website which she makes sound like there is a lot of resources available to the new couponer. There might be but you have to pay to join. Patio Furniture - strathwood, patio furniture

Unit arrived in huge 5 foot by 4 foot box weighing 150 lbs. Upon inspection the hardware and instructions to build the table were missing. After building the love seat and one of the chairs, the second chair had a defective bolt insert that resulted in a bolt breaking off inside of the insert, rendering the chair useless. Customer service of the manufacturer says that they have no parts to sent as a replacement and that I need to return it. So, I need to disassemble everything, somehow try to repackage into a massive box, and find a way to ship a 150 lbs box back to Amazon.

I did not realize it required assembly of the chairs etc, I wish amazon would state that.

In the end I returned the set. The first shipment one of the bolts broke in the chair. I retuned everything. In the second shipment the set was missing parts.

In the end I returned because getting the missing parts took too much time and multiple attempts.

I will say that during this time, amazon customer service was excellent, polite, and really trying to help.

If you take time to study the picture, what you see is what you get. Its a plastic wicker mesh over a steel tubular frame. It ships unassembled by truck, which for us meant go pick it up at the ABF terminal. That was no problem. Shipping was very fast. Our box looked like crap but everything was in there and nothing broken. They package this thing using the cushions to protect parts that would otherwise damage. This is a good size box but will fit in a pickup bed.

Assembly was simple and about one hour with the wife adding a third hand. The chairs and love seat used two bolt sizes and the coffee table a third. Bolts were steel, but pretty light gauge. The kit comes with one of those very small cheap open end wrenches for assembly. Its OK to use a 10mm socket, however one needs to keep in mind those little open end wrenches aren't just there for convenience or poor people who don't have tools. They are there because that small size controls torque. Using classic metal technique, get them all started then go back and tighten, don't over tighten (tighten to metal to metal flat not bend), the set went together with no hitches and is sturdy with so far no retightening. The use of lock washers on each bolt is good design.

We found the cushions just a tad lighter in color than we expected, but for us that was better. The cushions are of a soft almost home furniture like material not the classic vinyl. This gives a very good comfort level, however we're not anxious to see how this will hold up in rain so can't comment there. The base seat is classic patio furniture strap. The love seat cushion is one solid piece which two would probably have been better due to its a double strap setup underneath (classic for patio furniture). I can't ding it much for that though. It does look better, however just doesn't add to the comfort level due to that bar in the center you have to have to double strap.

We use this in a covered but outdoor application so have very high expectations of a good long life. It appears to be as sturdy as our other set which is on year 18.

All in all, nice set that we were looking at twice the cost in local stores for similar product.

Product arrived next day in good shape. I had no issues with assembly and liked the way they separated parts and instructions for love seat, chairs and table. I like the way the set looks and it appears to be durable. Overall, a great value.

I am an experienced DIY guy, but this set cannot be assembled without having to re-tread the holes in the frame. When I was trying to assemble it, it appeared that the M6 bolts in many cases did not fit the holes. One broke off when I tried to force it in, so now I have to drill the broken bolt out. I did not even try to fasten the others that did not fit well, they would have broken as well. I will buy an M6 threading tool and re-thread the holes that give problems.

The whole set came in one huge box, which was damaged when I received it. The parts inside seemed to be OK (the many cushions that came with the set protect the steel parts), but since the box cannot be used to return the set in, I decided not to return it and to try to make the repairs so I can assemble it and don't have to return it. Needless to say that I am very unhappy with this.

We love this set!! You do have to put it together, but following the instructions was not that difficult. Looks great on our deck. The loveseat is big enough for 2 adults to fit comfortable. I think for the price this set is a great value.

Don't do it! Quality not as described on Amazon. Not Amazon's fault. Bolts had no slot for allen wrenches provided. Manufactured wrong! No one answers the phone at customer service. Be warned, don't buy it.

Received the shipment much later than promised but this was not fault of the seller. It was the shipping service they used out of Atlanta. It finally got settled, but too late for it's initial intended usage (a patio party). We put it together, and was disappointed with the quality of the pillows and cushions. So far, we have used the set, and too little time as passed to judge the lasting quality of the furniture itself.

I would seriously consider buying this set for my gazebo, but if the love seat is really 11.2 feet wide and 7.5 feet tall and 6.75 feet deep it would not fit into my gazebo. I can't help but wonder what kind of giant would need a love seat with those dimensions. Hopefully someone at Amazon will change the description to include the correct sizes.
