Compilation

Track 1 Write This Down by Stealing Signs. Strong bouncy in your ears vocal over slick band. The vocal dominates the song, not a bad thing. Great first track.

I'm Always Right by New Cassettes up next. Another jerky vocal and band making very good Indie music. As with track 1 very good production. Like it.

Rose Hart is Doin' My Thing. Mellow low key good RnB Rap song. Great production and sound. Very nice Pop Rap, love it.

Track 4 is Wallpaper with F****** Best Song Everrr. Cool deliberate Electro-Dance manufactured song. Strong beat neat sounds okay lyrics and effects. Nothing special, great pop track.

See The World by 16 Frames up next. Superior Alt. rock song. Very nice production, lyrics and backing band.

Blue Shoes by Margo May. Clear little girl vocal w/noisy fingers on instrument sounds(why?). Simple lyric and song. Nothing wrong with this mellow s/sw tune.

National Skyline with Come To Life. Complementary synthesizers over cool beat and vocal. Short and sweet.

Track 8 Atlantic Connection with Hypem (feat. Armanni Reign). Great Pop Rap Techno Dance tune. Rapid vocals over speedy beat. Love it.

Just Kait with Living Tonight. Zooming song, okay vocal over rapid synthesizers and same beat. Likable song.

Marc Robillard with Contagious. Excellent slightly too loud recorded opening vocal leading quality backing instruments. Always a s/sw number with much more. Great song.

Lego Johnson plays Television. Great energy song gotta sound even better live. Big vocal messy neat band. Love it.

Last track is Thunderhorse by The Diamond Light. Cool opening solo vocal snaps into strong band playing high quality Indie rock song. Neat chorus, strong playing and very cool sound and mood. This is a great song.

Hype Music is a joint venture between MTV Networks and Extreme Music. Explains the high quality production and excellent sound on all these tracks.

Cool variety of Pop Rap, Indie, Folk, Alt. and Electro songs all sound very good. I want to make a smart comment about how manufactured all this good music is on one sampler and then I realize that is the point.

Download this free mp3 sampler now. I am sure it will be for sale soon. Most songs are very good. You will like many. I like them all. MTV Networks and Extreme Music have put together a quality free sampler. Grab it. Hype Music: Vol. 1'

Planer Blades - planer blades

Ordered some new blades for the old Ryobi, and didn't get around to trying them until the set I was using got a bit dull. Set them up as usual, but after some checking realized they weren't aligned properly. Pulled them out and re-set with the ryobi gauge, but realized one blade could not be set properly, as the slots for the screw holddowns are off--a lot. Perfectly visible with the naked eye, once you look closely. So much so that it is not possible to adjust correctly. So I have some useless blades and can't return them. Very disappointing for Freud stuff, and Amazon's return policy leaves a lot to be desired. Bottom line, better try and set these up right away and make sure your pair isn't mis-manufactured. Freud C600 10-Inch Replacement Planer Knives for Ryobi AP10 (2-Pack)

Not much to say about these. They worked fine as replacement blades in my planer. I have no way of testing the type of steel; they do feel like they may be a little soft, but my planer is used for light duty and so far no problems.

I HAD TROUBLE FINDING 10" BLADES FOR MY RYOBI PLANER. I FOUND THEM ON AMAZON AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE,SO I PURCHASED A SET, THEY FIT AND WORKED FINE. I JUST NOW ORDERED 2 MORE SETS AND AM SATISFIED WITH THEM. THEY ARE GREAT BLADES.

The knives were exactly as described and they installed in 15 minutes with no fuss. Test it out on some walnut and the results were near perfect. I reset my in feed and out rolls. When I ran the walnut board through after having jointed two sides, the planed side and corresponding edge were so smooth I could have not bothered to finish sand. No end snipe. Excellent product *****

I had some clear heart redwood 2x6 deck boards that I wanted to clean up to use to replace some decking. I decided to "tune up" my old Ryobi AP-10 planer that I purchased in the mid 80's. The power cord was in need of replacing because the jacket was falling apart. I still had the instructions that came with the planer so I figured out how to take it apart to replace the cord. I also gave the planer a thorough cleaning and lubing while it was apart.

Now all that it needed to was a new set of planer knives. I found the Freud C600 knives and ordered them. They arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Installing the knives went quickly because I still had the Ryobi blade alignment tool. The planer now performs just like new and made short work of cleaning up the redwood.

I took the original knives to the local sharpening shop and now have a spare set ready to go. The nice part about the Ryobi AP-10 planer is that you CAN resharpen the knives. - Planer Blades'

Ink Jet Printer Cartridges - canon black ink, printer ink

The price per print of ink jet printers is simply expensive, especially when you consider the fact that the process is probably not even close to being archival quality. Yet for most they will suffice. It is commonly believed that if you want archival you should either use silver emmulsion (what you will get if you have your prints traditionally developed by a photo lab - even a one hour lab) or dye sublimation. All that being said, this ink and the printers they go into do a very good job. I've been very impressed. I don't think there is a huge difference over the last generation, but if you want the newer printers you have to make the switch to the newer ink. Good news is that it works with the current crop of paper.

What is great about this ink cartdridge is that in the canon printers it is the cartridge mostly used for black print, while the other black cartridge is used for photo prints. This keeps your cost of printing regular text a little cheaper.

Buying on Amazon isn't much cheaper than other options, but if you are signed up for Amazon Prime, it is increadibly easy to buy them and have them delievered very quickly (two days). Canon PGI-5 BK 2-Pack Pigment Black Ink Tanks 0628B009

I've tried generic and refilled brands and I'll never do that again. I print a lot of photos and CD/DVDs and there is a huge difference in quality from the real thing and the generic. The per page price isn't that bad and I use a lot of ink. The originals go far and is worth the extra cost.

Everytime I've purchased any Canon ink cartridge, and I've purchased well over a hundred bargain brand's and Canon's, I've been extremely pleased with:

o no clogging,

o quality print,

o page count per cartridge printing,

o every cartridge printing when installed

The only negative would be their high pricing, but I guess it proves the old axiom "you get what you pay for".

After souring on Epson printers (C.R.A.P.), I love both of my Canons. They're not ink hogs (could be better though) and the heads aren't clogging up once a month. Here is a great deal for two cartridges at not much more than the usual cost of one. Color me impressed.

Why make a trip to the store? You can get these cartridges delivered to your door in a few days for less than you will find them at your local discount store. They are genuine Canon products. Don't take the chance of gumming up your printer with substitutes.

I am a student and with my Canon Pixma MP600 used 3 reams of paper before I had to replace one of these black ink cartridges. I am happy with that. Amazon has the best price on these, plus no sales tax and free shipping.

Good product.....but....I hate the fact that Canon charges so much for these tanks and has made it impossible for 3rd parties to provide OEM tanks. Do you realize how much they are charging for a gallon of ink!?! Around $1500! A good gallon of ink runs around $100. Thanks for Amazon for selling to us at a discount which is less than you can get locally.

I am thrilled with my buy. I have looked all over and found my best deal at Amazon.com much to my surprise. I have ordered ALL my colors from here and will continue to do so. Ebay offers refilled cartridges without the chip needed and say for YOU to replace them with your old ones, well why take the chance of screwing up your printer...spring for the REAL ones that are COMPLETE. Best buy....Amazon. - Printer Ink - Canon Black Ink - Ink Cartridge - Canon'

Ipod Nano 3g - apple, ipod nano

Pros:

great product. it comes with clear film protectors for both the screen and the click wheel. it also comes with the shoe pouch so you can wear the sensor on non-nike+ shoes! a great deal for any ipod nano owner who uses nike plus

Cons:

After about 3 weeks of use i've started to notice little nicks on the edges of my ipod nano. Since I only use the nano with the armband, (except when i take it out to update my nike + runs) the damage is definitely coming from the armband. It seems like the damage is coming from rubbing between the ipod and the stitching that connect the protective plastic screen and the armband. The nicks are small but definitely noticeable.

Personally the nicks don't bother me that much, as I only use my nano for Nike+ and other work out purposes. However if you're [...] about keeping your ipod nano in pristine condition, you may way to go elsewhere.

Also another small problem.. i wear the armband on my forearm and i tend to sweat a lot when i run. as a result some moisture does soak through the neoprene material and some of the moisture comes in contact with the ipod. i don't think this will be a problem for my ipod, but it is a little annoying when i take the ipod out of the armband to sync after a run and there is moisture on the body and screen of the ipod.

one last nit picky negative: there's no way to dock the ipod nano while it is inside the case. Marware Sportsuit Relay Case for iPod nano 3G and Nike Plus (Black)

The Marware Sportsuit was better than expected. It allows for a pouch to use the Nike Plus system and also includes a shoe wallet for the sensor. This allows you to use shoes other than Nike and it works great. The Sportsuit can also be worn on your wrist making it easier for access to your nano.

The only negative is that the touch wheel does not work very well through the protective clear plastic but while running or walking, you only need access to push the center button for updates.

Great Product!

This product worked just as it says. Fits great and is perfect for the Nano with Nike+. The little space for the wireless receiver works great. Also the little hole for the headphone plug is exactly where it should be. The only drawback is sometimes it is difficult to use the controls through the plastic. But this is not really a big issue. A couple times I have paused runs by pressing the pause button, while attempting to press the center button, to hear run information. Now im a little more careful, and this really isnt a problem. I like that it can be worn on the wrist or upper arm. Works great and is made well. I would recommend.

There are not a lot of good options for the new Ipod Nano video yet, and even fewer for the Nano with Nike+ installed. This case does adequately hold and protect the Nano. It is made as a wrist case though and comes with a short adapter to fit around your upper arm. The velcro on this is not the strongest though and you will sometimes get separation. If you want to use it as a dedicated upper arms case the best thing is to put a couple stitches through it to hold the extension on.

The other problem I had with this case is it is incredibly difficult to use the controls through the plastic protector. This isn't a big deal if you listen to music while you run, maybe a skipped song while you are trying to change your run data or change the volume. If you listen to longer audio tracks, like Audiobooks it can be a real pain. It is hard to find you place in an hour long track in the middle of a run.I have learned to set it and leave it because of this. The Sportsuit Relay is better than anything else I have yet found, so long as you understand its shortcomings up front.

I bought this armband specifically because it fits the nano with the nike plus attachment and it comes with a sensor pouch for my sneakers. As an

armband, it is comfortable and can be used as either an armband or wristband which is nice. However, there are a few drawbacks that buyers should be aware of.

1) It is really difficult getting the nano in and out of the case. The back of the case has an opening similar to that of a pillowcase, except there are two stitches that make the opening about .25 inches too narrow on either side. I have to really struggle to shove the nano with the attachment in there and getting it out is even more of a hassle, since there is quite a bit of humidity built up between the screen and the plastic front (sweat does get into the case from the back).

2) It is not entirely waterproof/sweatproof. I don't sweat heavily, but I have noticed after runs that there is some humidity build up in the case on the back of the ipod and between the screen and the plastic, making the plastic cling to the screen. Therefore, don't expect this armband to protect your ipod in a downpour.

3) The first armband I received had faulty stitching on the top which caused part of the top to rip off while I was trying to get the ipod into the case. I sent it back to the Amazon marketplace seller and they sent me back a replacement.

For the price, I expected a better designed and better quality armband. While waiting for my replacement, I bought a different one for about 5 bucks after shipping. It is called "nansporty" which is basically a knockoff of the official Apple armband. With a 1.5 inch piece of double sided velcro, I was able to get that case to fit the nano with the nike plus attachment. It comes in better colors and seems to be more sweatproof than this one. I also have an easier time getting the nano into and out of that case (although that one is a bit snug too). - Nike Plus - Ipod Nano - Apple - Running'

Lens For Canon Slr - 70-300, lens

I wanted a cheap telephoto lens for those times I need the reach. Since I don't use it that often, I felt no need for a large or expensive lens. I debated between this lens, the Tamron 70-300 Di, and the Sigma APO of the same type. This was the cheapest so I went with it. Frankly, I can't believe how good this lens is for its price. At 70mm, it's tack sharp corner to corner. Even 200-300 it's quite good. And the Macro mode is just icing on the cake--1:2 magnification means you can get quite close.

It's true, you need a fair amount of light for this lens to shine--no argument there. But for the individual who only does this sort of stuff for fun, this lens is hard to beat. I can't imagine the APO variant is worth $70 more--I cannot detect any difference from sample pictures posted online. So if you only need a lens of this focal length occasionally, this is the one to get. Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras

Pros: Very well built; Comes with a hood; Has a metal lens mount; Is as big as a baseball bat when fully extended making most non-DSLR users drool(DSLR users shrug it off as just another 70-300), Takes a GREAT Macro at the 200-300mm range with a VERY shallow DOF if you like; Very decently sharp images throughout the range. Great price.

Pro/Con: That GREAT Macro in the 200-300 is from no closer than 4 feet away. I asked a friend why anyone would want to be so far away to take a macro and she said "to take photos of bees and stuff" OH! I had been using a little point and shoot, clicking the photo, then running away screaming like a little girl. So make the previous Con a Pro.

Con: It lacks that fake 'Canon L' little red band that the next model up has. Some people might think it's a little too heavy. (Wimps).

I'd buy it again. (Ok, maybe I'd buy the slightly more expensive one, but only for the red band, I'm VERY happy with the performance of this one)

Yes, a Canon lens with IS would be better than this Sigma, but it's a great start to give you more options with your D-SLR. I used this lens throughout San Francisco and was very pleased with the quality. There is some contrast degradation but I typically fix my best shots in Photoshop anyways. Also, only use this lens if you are going to stick with zoom shots as the 70mm setting is too high for anything within 6 feet.

I recently bought this lens for my Canon XTi. It does lock on focus quickly. I have used it a handful of times in overcast weather. I must say that the focus is not sharp at 300mm. I got some improvement by stopping down the aperture a bit. Still, I wish that I was getting better sharpness at 300 mm. I have not had adequate time to try out the macro feature on this lens, but I will try and leave another review after I have had more time to play with this lens. The focus is better in the middle ZOOM ranges. And lastly, the contrast is not as nice as the stock 18-55mm lens that came with my Canon.

I was leary about purchasing this "cheap" version of the Sigma Lens. Being new to DSLR photography, I really don't know a whole lot about lenses, but I did want something that would give me a good telephoto range and decent picture quality. This lens did not disappoint. I am really happy with the performance of this lens. It brings images in really close, from really far away. The picture quality is perfect ! I use this with a Pentax *ist DL and the pictures it produces are wonderful. If this is the "cheap" version of the Sigma lens, I really wonder what the "high end" version will be like. Thanks for reading this, hope it helps.

This is a very good lens for the money. If you are beginning with a DLSR and want a lens that can produce good images without the expense, this is definetley the lens for you. I took this lens out and shot the Blue Angels during an air show hand holding every shot using it with a Sony A100 DSLR. Pictures were awesome with the lens, I used a UV Filter Lens as I do on all my lenses. I recommend this lens to anyone that wants a 70-300mm Telephoto Zoom with Macro for a low cost. - Lens - Canon - 70-300 - Digital Rebel'

Sharpening Steel - henckels, cutlery

This steel is very nice for the price. The length is fine for nearly any knife and the material itself is of a suitable hardness for correcting cutting edges. The handle is easy to hold, and it has a nice heft and balance. Exactly what I would expect from a Henckels product.

Now, a brief clarification: A steel will absolutely not "sharpen" your knife. It doesn't have a grit so much as the steel used is much harder than the knife. (If you have a dull edge you can run it along the finest steel for hours and not get a sharper cutting edge.) What it does do is simply correct the angle of the knife's edge that tends to get bent to either side during normal use. When you run the leading edge of the knife down the steel in the correct manner, a sharp edge should go back to the appropriate angle. If you have a dull blade, you need to hone a new edge. (For that you may consider using a professional sharpening service. this can be a little tough for a novice...sorry!) Once that is done, use your steel each and every time you pull your knives from their home to keep the edge at peak usability.

Keep in mind that you could sharpen a spoon to a razors edge, it just won't keep it for long. Better knives hold an edge for much longer due to the quality of the materials and their hardness. Few of us need an exquisitely expensive set of knives. Just buy a nice set for a good price and keep on using a good steel!

I have Henckels knife which I enjoy using.

I did try other brand's sharpening tool, but it just wasn't as good as original Hanckels. This thing is made in Germany!

Since I paid good sum of money for my knives, it was worth extra money to buy good sharpner. And this really is great price. I saw similar Henckels sharpner at Target for $25.

I am very happy.

It is what it says it is and is great for putting that finished edge on knives. About 6 or 7 passes on each side keeps my wifes favorite kitchen knife razor keen. Also used it on my pocket knife, cuts through boxes like butter.

I recently took a cooking class where I learned how to use a sharpening steel and how effective they are in putting a good edge on you knives. (a few light strokes on each side of the blade at a 20 degree angle is all it takes) My wife can't believe how sharp our knives are now. This was an excellent steel with a molded handle. While not a pretty as the "matched set" this is very functional and our knives don't even notice the molded handle either. I ended up buying another steel for my daughter and now she has sharp knives as well.

This product will not sharpen dull knives, but it will keep sharp knives in great cutting condition much longer. I did not know anything about this type of product before my purchase, but research (and now experience) has shown me that a sharpening steel will remove the burs to keep the cutting edge straight and smooth so the sharpness of the blade does what it does. I notice a big difference if I use my knives a few times without using this product, and then after a few swipes on both sides of the blade they are like new again.

I got this brand since it was a gold box item for me, but I'd recommend any sharpening steel that is at a good price. I can't imagine you'd see much difference in results from different brands, the knives are what really matter.

I've already went through my kitchen knives and touched them all up with a nice edge. This is a fine quality steel. I owned a professional steel already, but it was quite old and I really like the balance of this one better!

How much can you say about a piece like this?

It's a nice size (shorter than most I've used).

It's easy to handle, and my knives (Victorinox Cutlery 6-Inch Chef's Knife, Black Fibrox Handle and Victorinox Fibrox 8-Inch Chef's Knife ) are ready to cut after a quick honing.

For sharpening, I love this tool (and so does Cook's Illustrated):

AccuSharp 001 Knife Sharpener

Have used it over a year. Like the hanging loop. I sharpen with a Tormec wet grinder, then do a final touch-up with this steel. This steel has micro grooves, so a light touch works best. My old Remington 10" carving knife maintains a razor edge with this steel between uses. A final pass with the Global diamond rod ensures a very fine edge. And the price is right. - Kitchen Gadgets - Honing Steel - Kitchen - Cutlery - Henckels - Chefs Knife'

Ethernet Switch - ethernet switch, gigabit switch

Going from a NetGear to this was like moving from Detroit to the Swiss Alps. Nice and small, yet great build quality. Internet performance is more solid than with other switches I've tried over the years. One huge plus is, it doesn't get hot like the others. Good job D-Link another top-notch product. D-Link DGS-1005G 5-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch

This is a fantastic product. It's hard for some reason to find a good Gigabit Switch. Most consumer switches are 10/100, not 10/100/1000, and they sell for the same price or more than the D-Link. Prior to this, I was using several Dell 2708 switches. They ran flawlessly but are large and heavy (and made of metal). This product is tiny, mostly plastic, light, and runs cool. I also like the power saving features. The D-Link 5-port Switches, at half the price, are an excellent value.

Replaced my old Linsys Gigabit Switch with this one and "NOW I'M FLYING". "NOT ALL GIGABIT SWITCHES ARE CREATED EQUALLY!" This delivers higher than expected performance and exceeds my high expectations. I own a total of three D-Link gigabit switches. All outperforms my other Linksys versions. Get this and stop shopping, please!

Been wanting to add more Ethernet ports for a while and never knew the difference between a router and switch. Already had two routers for each service I use [have a backup since I work from home]. Did a lot of research on switches and routers and always had good luck with D-Link, and their routers and switches get good reviews, so I got a 5 port and an 8 port and they both work great and really expanded the use of my wired internet. Have not noticed any decrease in speed by adding the switches and all you have to do is plug it in, hook the cord [I use Cat6] from the router to the #1 slot and connect away.

This is a very attractive switch that I am using for Gigabit speeds with Cat6 cabling. It is small and provides 7 connections plus the uplink (which for me is port 1). If you do not need the uplink, that port can serve as your eigth connection.

I used to transfer files and do backups across my wireless network. I have recently rearranged my basement and placed all of my computers near my cable modem and wireless router. Now that I have wired the computers into this switch, which uplinks to my router, everything is blazingly fast over Gigabit cabling.

After a week of using this switch, I decided to purchase another one. It is very fast. Be warned that these switches are not stackable, due to the rounded top.

They should rename this little guy a "cat-5 extension cord". I currently have a Wi-Fi router down cellar connecting wireless to my wife's machine and with an in-house cat-5 cable to my computer room. I periodically connect older (non-wireless) laptops & desktops for "checkups". This little unit was truly a very simple and inexpensive plug 'n' play solution if you don't mind a cable or two running behind the furniture and currently have a LAN router. Thus far it has performed flawlessly and is quite fast.

Its small, fast, reliable and sleek. Not stackable because of its rounded top. Looks nice with my home stereo setup and its lights are not annoying because they are on top and not facing forward. Never need to reset this device. Lights indicate whether a device is connected at 100 or 1000. - Gigabit Switch - Network Switch - Gigabit Ethernet Switch - Ethernet Switch'

35mm Stereo Headphone Adapter - electronics, audio cables

I've noticed very little degrading of the sound, if at all, and this is rare in most extensions. The cord is thicker than usual for both the positive and negative polarities - a separate wire for each - and I'm quite pleased with this, will perhaps get another because of its thickness. I now have great headphone sound within a twenty-foot range - just what I was looking for. Even if you don't need 15-feet of cord, I would recommend this over the shorter 10 foot cords where the wiring is about half as thick and not likely to hold up over time...I subject all my electronics to heavy use. Plus, the best extensions for Grado headphones go for $40, and I'm quite satisfied saving over $30 by having this one. 3.5mm Stereo Headphone Extension 15 ft. Straight

I ordered a 15ft 3.5mm stereo headphone extension cord, and that's what I got. However, it wasn't the cord in the picture that the other reviews are based on. It didn't have separately insulated wires or gold-plated connectors. It worked, but the sound started cutting out after less than a month. Maybe they just sent the wrong cord, or maybe they don't offer the better kind anymore. If you go ahead an order one, I'd suggest checking it as soon as you get it to make sure it's the cord advertised here.

Had this for almost two years because my computer jack is too far away to reach. Now I have found multiple uses for it. I can walk on my treadmill in my basement without having to turn up the volume on my tv. I just hook this up to the receiver and to my headphones, and I'm all set. I can even listen/watch media on my laptop with this extender while on the treadmill too. For the price, it's an excellent bargain.

I live in a Senior apartment complex that has a strict curfew on noise. No one is allowed to play their TV's or stereo's after 9 pm. So I knew I had to resort to headphone listening. My recliner is a good distance away from my TV and my headphones did not extend far enough. I bought this and now I relax in my recliner and listen to my TV as loud as I want and as late as I want:) It works great!

I am allowed to listen to music with headphones when I'm at work, but my computer is on the floor and it's too far for my headphones to reach, so I bought this extension cord and it has saved my life. I'm happily listening to music as I type this!!

I bought this in November 2005, used it almost everyday without disconecting it so no wear would be put on the connectors. Last week the sound quit coming through in the right ear. Surprising since the connectors are gold plated, you would expect it to last as long as my headphones which are 7+ years old without gold plating (and still function pefect. Anyway, it was only $2.90 from Part Express when i bought it from here, but the shiping was really high. So if you buy it plan to replace it in a year in a half.

these are just amazing. i can not tell the difference between having the headphones plugged stait into my computer or plugged into the extention. the sound quailty is 100% identical and for the very reasonable price this is an amazing product. - Electronics - Audio Cable - Cable - Audio Cables'

Digital Audio Cable - cable connectors, digital audio cable

The price on this item was great, however when I tested it in my car with my iphone I found that it only works correctly if you do not move the cable/plugs while in use. After plugging it in, as soon as I moved my iphone to set it down the sound started to cut out. I then tried to test it by wiggling the plugs on both ends, and it appears that the plugs aren't sturdy enough to make a good connection with either device. I currently have a Dynex brand cable for my car for this purpose and it works great with no issues....when it is plugged in, no matter how much you move the cord or plugs the sound stays strong and doesn't cut out...it is much thicker and the plugs much sturdier than this cable which I believe to be the reason it works so much better. This cable was going to be for our boat stereo, however I went ahead and ordered the Dynex cable for just a couple dollars more and will trash this one....not worth sending back for the cost. Hope this information helps anyone who is considering buying this item. Professional Cable ST35MM-06 Stereo 3.5mm 6-ft M/M Cable - Black

Upon measuring the cord, I found that it was truly on 5 feet long, which isn't a big deal for my purposes, but may be an issue for others looking to purchase. Other than that, it is a good product at a good price.

I have had this now for a few weeks. The moment I took it out of the package and hooked it to my stereo i knew there was a problem. My reason for buying this was to use to connect my ipod to my stereo. At first I thought maybe a speaker was out. But no, i started to move the cord around when moving my ipod and the music was cutting in and out. Now I have to sit there and move it around until it finally works. I wouldn't recommend this unless you have extra time on your hands....

You know what they say, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". The cable is thick and the connections look substantial, but looks can be deceiving. The connections are poor, resulting in that awful crackling sound that is made while you twist the connection trying to get the sound to come through clearly. I tried it with two different IPods and the problem remained. For the price, less than $3.00, it was not an expensive mistake, but it was still a mistake.

These cables do not work well. When I took it out of the package I was not impressed with the thickness of the wire. They seem very cheaply made. Considering the price, I guess it's not surprising. It wouldn't be a big deal if the cable actually worked. The sound is intermittent when connecting my mp3 player to my car stereo. The wire needs to be bent a certain way for the sound to work. I will be throwing it away and purchasing a different cable.

Works just as i wanted to. I have a cable like this before but it wasnt long enough so i got this in a longer length. I connect my computer to the back of my Sony Bravia 40" HDTV and I have an optic cable from my tv to my Sony 7.1 AV receiver so i get the surround sound from my receiver for all the programs i run on my computer. Lots of different uses for this cable, not just for headphones, ipods or mp3s. Enough said.

I bought this so I could connect my MP3 play to my vehicle's sound system. The cord feels durable even though it seems "thin". The rubber feels very strong, but it is flexible unlike thicker, traditional audio cords, which allows for easier folding to get it out of the way. The sound quality is superb through it. - Ipod Cable - Cable Connectors - Digital Audio Cable - Audio Cables'

Rotary Tool Accessories - hobby tool, tools

It really works and is by far the most valuable accessory for the Dremel. It closes down to near 0 for the smallest of drill bits (much smaller than a sewing needle) yet still holds larger bits than the "large" hex collet. It is well made and durable, withstanding everything from concrete and tile dust to oily metal shavings. It must be tightened with considerable force to resist slipping under heavy use but that's to be expected. Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck

This chuck (which I consider to be essential) greatly enhances the convenience of any Dremel. You might be tempted to save the old collet device this chuck replaces, but before long you will discard it as useless trash. I do a lot of really miniature work and I find the chuck to be great for holding things as small as a 1/64th inch drill. I have one on each of my 3 Dremels.

I don't understand why Dremel doesn't include this great little chuck as a standard accessory with all their Multi-Tools. It is so much easier, faster and less frustrating than fumbling with the tiny collar and wrench that the tools come equipped with. If you change bits on your Dremel often, as most users do, you will quickly come to appreciate the 4486. As for me, the 4486 is comparable to the Flex-Shaft as one of the single most worthwhile attachments available for adding versatility and conveience.

While I do like the conevience of the chuck, it does not rotate 100% true. This causes a very slight wobble at the tip of any drill bit. I have tried 2 different chucks, but both yield the same results. I only use the chuck when absolute precision isn't required.

An adjustable drill chuck for the Dremel power tool is a brilliant concept. Unfortunately the manufacturing precision is less than brilliant. I purchased the chuck for diamond drilling my wife's quartz crystals and gem stones in a water bath. The chuck jaws are eccentric (out of true) and a 1 mm diamond drill tip actually moves in a noticeably larger circle. This makes it difficult to start the drill in a hard surface and also causes water to be splashed about when drilling. I have owned large drill presses which are much closer to being true than this chuck. It might work OK for softer materials but I don't understand why it couldn't have been manufactured true in the first place.

I consider the MultiPro chuck to be the best accessory ever made for the Dremel tool. When you're doing work that requires constant bit changes, the changing of collets to fit a bit of a particular diameter becomes a real frustration, and wastes time. So, needless to say, an adjustable chuck is a real boon for these kinds of jobs. Just loosen it to remove one bit, pop in another, tighten, and vwah-lah! The collet nut and collets become pretty much obsolete. The chuck may seem somewhat pricey, but when you consider the time you'll save and the convenience you'll enjoy, it's well worth the extra investment.`Late

This is a really nice idea from Dremel that is supposed to make changing bits a lot faster. And that it does. Plus it is very well made. However, I stopped using it as no matter how hard you tighten it, it loosens up and the bit begins to wobble (not a good thing at 5000 rpm). Then you have to stop and retighten. So it's too much of a bother. I do not recommend this item.

Several other reviewers have commented on the tendency of this keyless chuck to wobble and loosen in use. In some 20 years of use of this accessory, I've also found this to be the case (the tool bit works loose during use about 1/3 of the time), but have also found that this is particularly dangerous at high tool speeds. I recently had the keyless chuck vibrate loose while using a cut-off disk. Despite the fact that I felt a vibration in the tool and hurriedly moved to shut it down, by the time I did so, the mandrel had walked its way nearly fully out of the chuck, bent sharply sideways, but luckily stayed stuck in the chuck jaws long enough for me to shut down the tool. Despite the fact that cut-off wheels are extemely light, the mandrel was dramatically bent to some 30 degrees. I can barely imagine at what velocity the mandrel would have shot off had it not snagged in the chuck jaws. Lightweight but high velocity objects can cause severe injury, so if you intend to use this thing, I recommend that you save it only for low-speed applications. Stick to the collet chucks for high speeds -- I personally have never, in some 20 years, seen one of these get loose while working with the Dremel.

I rarely use the standard collet that comes with the tool any more, after buying this item. No more looking for a wrench (which I invariably loose), etc. Beware, though: I took for granted that it would be compatible with my chainsaw charpening attachment. It is not. If you use other attachments, don't expect to be able to use this at the same time. If you don't use other attachments...well...go on to the next review. Well worth the buy, in my opinion - Hobby Tool - Rotary Tool Accessories - Tools - Chuck'

Portable Hard Drive - western digital, external hard drive

I've owned the USB 2.0 / Esata version of the Thermaltake Hard drive dock for about 3 years. It's hands down the single most useful computer peripheral I've ever owned. It makes backing up your system, cloning hard drives, and diagnosing problems with hard disks not just easy but enjoyable. Thermaltake knows how to make a dock, and my USB 2.0 dock still works perfectly 3 years later and I expect this one to be just as reliable. I purchased this dock to use with my new computer which supports USB 3.0, since USB 3.0 is currently as fast or faster than Esata, and while it's not much faster now, as drivers improve it will far surpass it.

The 5gbps speed that Thermaltake quotes is pretty theoretical at this point. With two extremely fast SATA 6Gbs drives you might get somewhere close, but with standard 7200rpm drives or even most SSDs, your throughput is going to be limited by the disk, not the USB standard. However, what you do gain is everyday speed, that make backing up to external drives 3-4x faster. Since I already have a Thermaltake USB 2.0 dock, I decided to compare the two and give you an idea of what you'll gain in speed using this dock vs. the old one.

For the test I used a Samsung 500 GB Hard Drive. I tested the transfer of a large collection of media files ranging from 3-4mb mp3 files to 8Gb .MKV BlueRay rips. The total transfer size was 104GBs. The source drive was another Samsung F3 drive, but 1TB in size. My motherboard is the Asus P6X58-E, which features two USB 3.0 ports. This test was not scientific, but it should give you a general idea of the speed difference.

Here are the results:

USB 2.0 docking station

Total Transfer time: 98 Minutes

Max transfer speed: 21.4Mbs

USB 3.0 docking station

Total Transfer time: 41 Minutes

Max transfer speed: 74Mbs

As you can see, the USB 3.0 dock performed the same transfer in less than half the time as the USB 2.0 dock. Keep in mind that USB 3.0 drivers will only improve with time--I expect those speeds to increase steadily along with improved drivers. If you want another solid example of the difference in speed, check the comments where I left a link to a youtube video where a guy compares USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Esata, and Firewire. It's pretty informative.

Aesthetically Thermaltake has upped the 'sexy' factor with polished surfaces, and rounder edges than the old dock. I actually prefer the look of the older one--not everything needs to have polished surfaces! They just attract finger prints. This is a computer tool, not an iPod.

The package includes:

1) The Dock itself

2) USB 3.0 cable

3) Slip covers for hard drives (1x 3.5" size and 1x 2.5" size)

4) AC power adapter

5) Instruction booklet

Conclusions:

A great, great dock. Much more versatile than a fixed form (2.5 or 3.5 inch) enclosure, it allows you to use a wide variety of disks in different circumstances without sacrificing speed. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's well worth the asking price. Thermaltake 5G 5.0Gbps USB 3.0 SATA Hard Drive Docking Station with Hard Drive Pouch ST0019U

Thermaltake has continually updated the BlacX line to match with the changing storage technologies over the years. With the BlacX 5G they have now added USB 3.0 and SATA III to bring added bandwidth along with simplicity of USB.

Really about the only minor knock on the BlacX 5G is the slightly reduced read performance when compared to a direct SATA connection. This minor setback is easily forgotten when you consider the speed increase you get in comparison to USB 2.0.

At first glance a lot of people may not appreciate the usefulness of a hard drive dock, but when you have to access a friend or relatives drive to recover data they are a welcome piece of equipment. Thanks to the latest update to Thermaltake's BlacX line, the BlacX 5G now utilizes USB 3.0 making it not only handy but fast as well.

Advantages

-Plug and play

-USB 3.0

-3.5' and 2.5' drive support

Disadvantages

-Read speeds not quite as fast as SATA - External Hard Drive - Usb 3 - Portable Hard Drive - Western Digital'

Htc Evo 4g - droid x, evo 4g

The customer reviews were very important on me selecting this product. The later posting customers were happy with the fast shipping, packaging, and correct product length. I was able to hook up my EVO to my TV and watch the videos without any problems. The biggest help on the customer review was when I read the difference between the mini and micro type cable connections. That review assisted me on purchasing the micro connection type. Thanks to all the customers that take time to write reviews because that assist with better service and customer like me that depend on honest customer feedback to purchase products. HDMI to Micro HDMI Cable, High Speed with Ethernet, 6 ft , For HTC EVO 4G

I bought this cord for my T-Mobile LG G2x because it also has a mini HDMI output. So first of all the cord is described as 6 foot long. It is definitely longer, because i am 6'1" and the cord was taller than me, id say its about 7 foot so that was a great surprise. It came 3 days earlier then it was expected to. Lastly i read about how easy it was to get it showing on your tv but i didn't expect it to be that easy. I literally plugged the cord in both sides, switched to the appropriate channel and voila there was my phones homescreen. Watching tv shows/videos etc are crisp and clear with full hd. No lag time whatsoever.

Pros:

Long

Effortless setup

EXTREMELY cheap

Quick Delivery

Cons:

None

sad that i only needed one cord would buy more and would DEFINITELY recommend to everyone thinking about buying it

Cable fit the G2X perfectly & is well made, not flimsy. Arrived quickly, good condition & was a great price. My only wish is that is was longer. If you want to be further from the TV, order a longer cable than 6'. Don't hesitate to buy from this seller.

This thing worked exactly as it should have, and came with nice dust covers to go with it.

I don't have much more to say - it's well constructed, long enough to be useful, and it does what it's supposed to. For a cable that's good enough.

works, but touchy. i use it to view photos from my htc evo to my hdtv, but a slight wiggle can loose connection, u almost hav to hold it in place. i dont use it that often so im not too disappointed, plus its cheap - Htc Evo 4g - Droid - Droid X - Evo 4g'

Aspire One Case - netbook sleeve, notebook case

This sleeve does fit the Acer One mini, as promised. If you're looking for something to keep scratches off your laptop, while it's in another bag, then this would be a fine choice. The material isn't as nice in person as it looks in the picture, though. There's not a lot of padding, so it definitely won't do much more than keep your laptop from being scratched. Pink Sparse Tranquility fit most of 10.1 inch Acer, Dell, HP, Samsung Netbook Laptop Sleeve Carrying Case

I am simply delighted with this exquisite laptop sleeve. If anything, it looks better in person than it does online. It's well-made and fits my netbook well. This is a great product at a great price. This design is much nicer than any of the netbook sleeves that I have seen in other stores.

It's a very nice and cute case. I loved the design when I first saw it. HOWEVER, due to the color it does tend to get dirty easily and does not have the sort of protection I was looking for. I am currently still using it as a "starter" case for my iPad 2, but am actively looking for a case that is harder and has more protection. - Notebook Case - Netbook Sleeve - Laptop Case - Netbook Bag'
