Low Discharge Nimh - eneloop, rechargeable batteries

With all the pre-charged batteries from different manufacturers out there now, there is no need for 1-time use alkaline batteries anymore.

Using my Lacrosee BC-700 battery charge/test function, the 4 "AAA" batteries performed as follows:

Battery 1 = 846 mAh

Battery 2 = 874 mAh

Battery 3 = 876 mAh

Battery 4 = 860 mAh

(See picture on customers' submitted images)

Straight from the box, the batteries show remaining voltages between 1.31 to 1.32 volts (see pic above). All packs more juice compared to its rated capacity of 800 mAh. Comparable to the capacities of Eneloops and Duracell.

I have been using pre-charged batteries for everything now, from toys, digital cameras, clocks, to remote controls. AmazonBasics AAA NiMH Precharged Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack, 800 mAh)

These batteries work well for my applications, but didn't came fully charged. One of my devices rejected it at first but after a recharge they work perfectly.

One minor complaint is that this battery is "slightly" longer than a Sanyo Eneloop AAA and it did not fit in one of my devices, but that does not concern me. Overall I'm pleased with this product.

I got these as a replacement for the batteries in my wireless house phones. They had a higher capacity (800mAh vs. the stock 600mAh ones) so now my phones last longer. They didnt seem to be charged on arrival though, but after overnight in the charger, my phones are working great. These seem to last just as long as the rechargeable duracells I bought, but these are cheaper. I would go with whichever is a lower price, because they all seem to perform about the same. I'd bet they are re-branded from the same factory anyway.

The super tough plastic that holds the four batteries in a brick is NOT FRUSTRATION FREE. In fact, cutting it open with scissors to free the batteries I cut the thin plastic wrapping on one battery. Now I have three Amazon batteries and one plain grey metal cylinder. Don't even get me started on the 50X bigger than the batteries box with tough plastic seal on it. This is a small item, so standardizing the cardboard box is no big deal. But for something advertized as frustration free you shouldn't have to gnaw through two separate plastic seals, one of which completely entombed the product, just to get it out.

No opinion yet on the batteries, I'm tired from getting to them. Maybe more later. - Amazonbasics - Rechargeable Batteries - Eneloop'

Marion Cotillard - romance, provence

I really don't understand all the bad reviews from critics and reviewers alike for I personally loved this movie. Now, it's not the grandest spectacle to grace the big screen nor is it Russell Crowe's finest hour, but `A Good Year' is some quality entertainment and serves it purpose in the relaxed and happy season that is fall. Having just seen the poorly made and highly overrated `Catch a Fire' I was ready to relax and watch something entertaining and enjoyable, and being the Russell Crowe fan that I undoubtedly am I decided that `A Good Year' would be just that movie.

Max Skinner (Crowe) is a stuck up British stock broker who at one time was a kind hearted soul, and his fondest memories are littered with his Uncle Henry (Finney) and his Chateau in France. Upon his Uncles death Max is left the sole owner of Henry's estate, and in like fashion he flies out there in order to sell if for profit and make it back ASAP. What he doesn't bank on is Christie Roberts (Abbie Cornish) showing up claiming to be the long lost daughter of Henry and claiming rights to his estate. Throughout the course of the film Max has to go through the stages of redemption, which include discovering the jerk he has become and rediscovering his inner child.

The two key components to his wonderful film is the scenery and the acting. The script and storyline as some have already pointed out is very unoriginal, we've seen this done plenty of times, but the beauty that is France, as well as the beauty that is Russell Crowe and Marion Cotillard (who plays Fanny, the seductive woman who steals Max's heart) more than make up for the familiarity. Crowe is, as many know, my all time favorite actor ever, and I feel that he can carry any film he touches. Whether you are a fan of his phone throwing escapades or not, you have to admit that the man is gifted, very gifted. Here he proves that by being just as compelling and engrossing laughing and smiling as he is riding into battle. Albert Finney and Marion Cotillard are also wonderful here, but to me it was little Freddie Highmore (such a talented young man) who outshined most in the cast (can anyone outshine Crowe...I don't believe so).

As I said in the beginning, I don't understand all the bad press. So what if it's no `A Beautiful Mind' or `Gladiator', so what if Russell was not Lucky Jack or James Braddock, `A Good Year' is still a good time and Max Skinner is just as fun as Crowe ever was. I recommend it, I enjoyed it, no better yet, I loved every minute of it. A Good Year (Widescreen Edition)

Oui, this is a "feel-good" movie. Oui, the script has almost no surprises in it. Oui, Ridley Scott, Russell Crowe and the rest of the cast must have had a great time shooting this.

Still, this movie delivers exactly what i expected. It made me smile, it made me laugh ("Lance Armstrong !"). It is a touch short on drama. Bon, to be honest the drama bit is poorly handled.

The actors are good and i did not feel i was making them a favour for paying to watch this movie. Ridley Scott delivers some nice views. Fair enough.

Relax, let the movie take you where you know it is going, and enjoy that simple pleasure. There are many movies out there with greater ambitions but that deliver far less.

"A Good Year" deals with the story of Max (Crowe), a heartless guy who doesn't "do weekends" and has "questionable" work ethics (you could say), who goes back to France to his recently deceased uncle's vineyards in Provence in order to sell the property. Of course the movie is completely predictable : he falls in love with the local georgeous girl (Marion Cotillard) and he changes back into this guy who loves life and is nice and all of that good stuff. But don't hold that against the movie, because you'd then be missing out on a really good one.

The movie's been described as "Under the Tuscan Sun" with a male lead, and I guess that's somewhat accurate but at the same time not really. It does play the same stories what with getting situated in a beautiful environment, but the two lead characters in both movies are very different from one another. Diane Lane's character just wanted to get away whereas Crowe's just wants to go back so it's not exactly the same situation.

A lot of people criticize the fact that it's not Crowe's or Ridley Scott's best, and sometimes go to say it's their worst movie ever made. I personally don't see it. Coming into this movie you can't be waiting for something like "The Gladiator" because if that's the case you're in for 2 hours of boredom. So ok, it's not the best movie ever made, but it's not one of the worst either. Personally I'd say it's still above average, and considering some of the movies that have been coming out, it's almost like a little piece of paradise. The movie takes its time getting to where it wants to go, taking the time to take in all the scenery and the people and just the whole charm of the environment we've been put in. The acting is fine. It's not Russell Crowe's best but it's not horrendous either and he's just fine in the role he's playing, even if I had a tough time warming up to the character (but isn't that the point?). I'm a huge fan of Marion Cotillard so i'm biased but I thought she was great in the movie. The rest of the cast does really well too even though the neighbor had a tendency to get on my nerves.

On the whole, I thought it was a good movie, I really enjoyed it. It's a nice break from action and political movies, and there's a couple of times where you can't help but laugh (the reference to Lance Armstrong, for example). It's a movie that takes its time but I wasn't bored once, it still has momentum. But if you weren't a fan of "Under The Tuscan Sun", then beware because you won't be a fan of this one.

Not only is this film charming, it is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! Ever frame is breathtaking. Russell Crow is utterly convincing as a modern day Cary Grant, and every bit as suave and debonair. This role is quite a departure from the rough images we've seen of him in the past.

I welcome (as in weak in the knees) this new side of Mr. Crowe.

My husband even enjoyed this movie. We're both bewildered that it didn't have more box office appeal. Perhaps critics have too much influence on ticket sales.

See it for yourself. The scenery alone delights. - Provence - Russell Crowe - Romance - Albert Finney'

Htc Evo 4g - sandisk, micro sd

I've been impressed with the Sandisk 32GB Class 2 microSDHC card so far. I bought it with bulk packaging, which means it came in a small plastic clam shell case slipped into a little plastic envelope. There were no included adapters.

I'm using the card in my Android Nexus One cellphone. I've used a benchmark app on the phone to gauge performance of the card, and it is doing about 5MB/sec writes and 9MB/sec reads. This is with settings at 10MB test data size and 8KB write unit size. I saw similar write performance when the card was mounted on my PC via a USB 2.0 card adapter. These numbers indicate it's performing somewhat better than the minimum guaranteed for Class 4 cards, which is great. I'm coming from a 16GB Class 6 card and haven't noticed any performance hits, so far. SanDisk 32GB microSDHC Memory Card (Bulk Package)

I bought this to put in my new Samsung Focus Windows Phone. This card has not been certified by Microsoft to work with the operating system, but I have had no problems after a week. I didn't use the card in any other way before having the phone format it. The card performs well and I am sure that is would work admirably in a more tradition sense. And one more thing, the price was excellent for a 32GB card.

I'm no expert on data transfer rates, but in my new Droid X, this card has been great. Put all my music and movies on there, lickity-split, and has been chugging along with no problem. It might only be "Class 2," but seems superb to me.

As of December 2010, SanDisk has updated the Class on SDSDQ-032G from Class 2 to Class 4.

However, SanDisk is removing any mention of "Class" on non-ULTRA non-EXTREME card retail packaging in order to have the flexibility to package whichever class card the SanDisk factory sees fit. Unfortunately, SanDisk does not believe the average consumer cares about what Class designation is on the memory card, though many consumers do care.

Unfortunately, since SanDisk uses the same P/N and UPC code, there is no way to tell whether Class 2 or Class 4 will ship inside the package. This is compounded by not all vendors and fulfillment centers use FIFO inventory shipping standards and old inventory can persist for a very long time.

Customers seeking further information about this change may contact SanDisk customer service at 1-866-SANDISK.

I purchased this in order to give my HTC Incredible phone the same storage space as my iPod touch. This microSDHC card is perfect for that, and has given no issues thus far. Highly recommended for Android phone users (check to make sure your phone accepts microSDHC cards)

Got it in the mail, inserted it into my brand new Nook Color (32gb), plugged the machine into my computer and loaded books etc, got a "drive not ready" error while loading and could no longer see it in my computer and it failed to register on the nook drive dialog, so I took it out and used the adapter they sent with it and tried it on several computers in a newer thumb drive that does high capacity and windows wants to format it to 8mb! Sounds like defective merchandise to me.

Got this today and immediately installed it in my htc EVO phone.

Works great. Sees all 32GB.

I powered the phone down, carefully extracted the installed 8GB card, copied the contents from that card to this 32GB card, and installed the 32GB card and shazzam, it works.

Enough said.

Mine was sold by Prime 2 Daym - they appear to be labelling off-brand 4 GB cards as SanDisk 32 GB card and using a modified boot record to report them as 32 GB cards. Mine reports it as a 32 GB card, but when trying to load more than 4GB of data reports itself as out of space. This has happened in two different devices, including twice in my phone after resetting and reformatting. Complete and total rip-off.

I've been using this card for 3 weeks in the Samsung Focus, and it has worked flawlessly. I've maxed out the cards memory, used it, emptied it, and frequently tested the card, and it worked flawlessly without failure. I am glad I took the risk with this card.

Title says it all, works in my new Samsung Focus with Windows Phone 7. I know people have had problems with certain brands of microSDHC cards, but I slipped it in, reset the phone, and the system recognized it and made use of the additional memory. - Microsdhc - Microsd - Micro Sd - Sandisk'

Deskjet Printers - hp ink, hp ink cartridge

Buying the combo pack was less expensive that buying them separately. What else is there to say? It comes with the same free return envelopes (that let you return the empty cartridges for recycling) as the single Ink Cartridge. HP 56/57 Black, Tri-Color Ink Cartridge, Combo Pack (C9321FN#140)

The Inkjet Combo Pack is what I needed for my printer. There is nothing stellar about it. It gets the job done, and well. The quality of the prints are crisp and clean. I have not had any problems with the cartridges on my printer. Also, the combo pack is a better deal than if purchasing the individual cartridges. So I recommend it.

Please read the following, and then use any seller other than Image

Warehouse!

I love my HP printer, but I thought I'd try a more economical option than buying the name brand print cartridge. Knowing nothing about any of the sellers of "generic" print cartridges, I thought I would play it safe and use a reseller for Amazon. Big Mistake!

After nearly two months, I have no print cartidges that work, and no money back. This infuriating process has consisted of

1. My electronic order. That part was fine.

2. Print cartidges which arrived unhurt. Good so far.

3. Color cartridges, which when installed in their port, were totally undetectible by my HP2100 printer. I tried everything imaginable - swapping ports, turning on and off the printer, more, and nothing worked. End of week one.

4. Sent off an email to Image Warehouse carefully detailing my printer's inability to recognize the cartridge. One week passes.

5. I recieve an email telling me to visit their trouble-shooting site for that item, and when I visit, it tells me how to clean the ink jets with my printer. Not the problem I wrote them about!

6. Sent them an email stating that if they could not help me with the problem, I would send the cartridges back, and would like a refund for the entire price, including my shipping expenses - both directions.

7. They email me where to return the two unusable catridges, and I mail them USPO, with all communications, to the address provided.

8. 20 days pass and I send an email asking if they have recieved the return.

9. Silence.

10. I am now almost two months into this process, and I have no cartridges, no refund of the original charges, no return shipping, and no news.

I have ALWAYS had great luck with Amazon. They are my go to default for much of my internet purchases. I have never had this bad an internet transaction. The fact that Image Warehouse is an Amazon reseller has done squat for the process. Save your money and try another seller!

"HP 56/57 Inkjet Print Combo Pack." Sooooo, what's not to like?

HP--a reliable name in product quality!

56/57--black ink cartridge, tri-color ink cartridge, a two-in-one deal!

Convenient!

Take that mouse, move it around. Click. Move it some more. Click again. I've just ordered the "HP 56/57 Inkjet Print Combo Pack" without leaving my house. Heck--without leaving my chair! Convenient!

Price--Several dollars less than the local national chain store, plus time and gasoline to get there. Not only that but the postal service will deliver the combo pack right to my door! Convenient and cost- and time-effective! Great service!

So there you are! Quality, convenience, service. What's not to like?

Let's face it, THIS is the best ink you can buy for the manufacturers printer, being that the product was explicitly designed for their printer. Of course, it's ridiculously expensive, like most manufacturer's printer ink. One must wonder WHAT exactly it is they put in this ink. Is it from the rare endangered Printorical Squid painstakingly caught in the deepest depths of the Mariana trench?

Anyhow, 3 stars - 5 for great ink quality, 1 for price, averaged together for 3. - Hp Ink - Hp Ink Cartridge - Ink Cartridge - Printer Ink'

Sennheiser Wireless Headphones

After researching Sony, RCA, and Sennheiser wireless headphones I settled on the Sennheiser RS-120's and I have no regrets. These are excellent headphones. I ended up buying them at GoogGuys. When I asked the associate if I could try them he connected them to a DVD player and they came to life. I walked all the way accross the store filled with electronics and heard no interference what-so-ever. I was nothing short of impressed and bought them right then and there.

Now that I have been using them for several weeks I am still amazed by them. I didn't know wireless headphones could be this good. There is no interference around my house. The 300ft range claim is about right. Maybe a bit conservative. I can mow my rental house lawn accross the street and even go next door and still get a good signal.

Sound quality is excellent. Bass is strong, mids are prominent, and highs are crisp. These phones work great for music, TV, and movies. I couldn't be happier with the sound. There is some spotty static in a couple places upstairs but it is practically inaudible when listening to something.

I don't know how long the batteries last because they have never run out. I have worn them for almost 10 hours straight and they were still going strong. I put them on the charger after each use and they have never shown any signs of a low battery.

That brings me to the charging system. It is simply superb. Unlike most other wireless phone charging systems this one is very simple. Just set the headphones on the metal "tube" that sticks out of the base and it charges. No messing around to get them just right so the contacts will contact (AKA Sony).

Build quality is very good. They are light weight, yet sturdy. The RS-120's are much sturdier than any of the other Sennheiser RS phones. They are very comfortable as well. I was worried that, due to their open air, on the ear design that they would get uncomfortable after wearing them for a few hours. I was proven wrong. They have never become uncomfortable.

I have read some reviews where people complain that the base turns off whenever it wants. It has an auto-off features so that it shuts off if it gets not signal for a few minutes. I see no problem with that and it has never bothered me since I'm usually listening to something when I'm wearing them. :)

I have the base connected to my home theater receiver to which I have a TV, DVD player, and my PC connected. The phones work well with all of those sources. Games, music, movies, TV, everything sounds great and I recommend these phones whole heartedly. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal in this price range. Sennheiser RS120 926 MHz Wireless RF Headphones with Charging Cradle

When I first noticed this product on an Amazon best-seller list, my initial response was "what a great idea." My second was "sounds too good to be true." My third, after receiving my order and slipping these headphones on for the first time, was simply "WOW!"

From the elegant, ergonamic design to the superb sound, the Sennheiser RS-120s can't be beat.

The headphones come with three connection adapters, so they'll work with just about any TV, radio, stereo, DVD or game system. The base unit is small, inobtrusive and leaves a small enough footprint that you can find a spot for it just about anywhere.

But the bottom line is they work -- and they work well. I have them set up in my bedroom and connected to my TV so I can unwind late at night without keeping my spouse awake. And on Saturday afternoons I can have the game on with the volume pumped up without a peep of complaint from her or the kids (and even if they did, I'd never hear them anyway :-) Of course, I can walk around and do chores, work at my desk, whatever, without missing a second of the action.

The rechargable batteries are a great idea, too. No need to plug a cord in, simply place the headphones on the base unit metal rack to connect and charge effortlessly.

My personal standard for consumer testing is whether or not I can rip open the package and get the product working without having to reference the instructions or manual. No worries there ... just plug and play ... and so intuitive it can't get any easier.

Form, functionality and unbelievably cool, too. An unbeatable combination.

This is the first product review I've written on Amazon, but I really felt the need, because I felt somewhat deceived by the huge amount of 5 star reviews for these headphones.

Don't get me wrong, these are decent headphones. I am satisfied with them and I will not be returning them. But there are significant problems, the biggest of which is the ubiquitous hiss. Contrary to many of the other reviews, I found this hiss to be *quite* noticeable. I suppose that is just a fact of life with wireless headphones, but it really is quite annoying, particularly during quiet passages or when stretching the limits of the range.

Speaking of range, it is true as other reviewers said that you can still get a "reasonable" signal at a remarkable distance (it beats my wi-fi network in terms of range). But I find that if I stray more than 15 feet or so from the base, I can notice a gradual reduction in quality, an increase in the volume of the hiss, and occasional whisps of static. I have fiddled with the channel setting and tuning knob quite extensively, and these issues still remain. I am probably a little pickier than the average person, but I do not consider myself an audiophile by any means -- so if *I'm* noticing the quality loss, it's pretty significant.

Now the good news: When you are in the same room as the base and the music is loud enough to drown out the hiss, these headphones sound pretty darn good, at least to my untrained ears. All frequencies are filled out nicely (I did not find it lacking in bass at all) and I don't get that headache-y too-much-treble feeling that I get from extended listening on lousy earbuds.

As other reviewers mentioned, it was a poor choice to put the volume knob and tuning knob right next to each other, but this is very manageable with practice.

In summary, these ain't bad for wireless headphones -- but don't let all those 5-star reviews fool you into thinking you aren't going to pay a significant price for that freedom.

Edit: Since writing the initial review, I figured out what the deal is with these. Whether as a side effect of FM transmission or by design, somewhere along the way this device is causing a pretty aggressive automatic gain control on the signal. A loud signal will cause the headphones to immediately adjust quieter, while they will adjust more gradually to a quiet signal, slowly bringing the level up.

This more or less ruins music that has a lot of dynamics, though *most* modern music will sound more or less okay because of the way it is mastered. The AGC is also the cause of the infamous "hiss" that you hear when your signal is low (it keeps boosting the signal level until you hear noise). I find that keeping the input volume really high diminishes these problems somewhat, but of course then you have to be careful you aren't getting clipping. And it doesn't eliminate the problems altogether.

It's a pity, because the headphones themselves sound great. But the automatic gain control really interferes with certain music, and as a result my review stays at 3 stars.'

Screen Protectors - screen protectors, apple ipad

Fact is: This thing DOES NOT fit.

a) The actual iPad is bigger and thicker

b) the speakers do not align with the openings

c) the earphone opening is too small - I tried 4 earphones (2 of them Apple made) - none of them plug all the way in

d) the case is too soft - it doesn't hold its form, so the iPad could slip out of the (not-fitting) case rather easily

Obviously, the makers are not that strong with the Force, that they cannot predict the correct dimensions of the iPad before it was released by Apple.

Alternatively, I must be on a planet where laws of physics are different from those who give the 5 stars, 4 stars reviews. Whether the glowing reviews here are home-cooking or not, I'd let you to decide.

***

Now I understand why the InCase iPad case ($39.99 at AppleStore) is so thick and expensive: Because it needs to be thick (so the earphone opening could be large enough), and it needs to be harder (so it won't change form while you're holding it, preventing the iPad from slipping out of the case).

What you pay is what you get. In this case, I get a piece of crap.

Update: You can't plug into port adequately with the case on. The bottom portion needs to be flipped down to do so effectively. Not a major issue, but thought I'd mention.

The case fits on the iPad pretty well, including the contour on the back. It does seem to make the iPad feel a bit heavier, but I just need to get used to it. The one thing about silicone cases in general is that it makes it hard to slide the iPad in and out of the InCase pouch, which is why I never use these on my iPhone as it turns your pockets inside out when you try and pull the iPhone out of your pocket. The screen protector went on easy, but it was impossible to get all the bubbles out, so I also chucked it. I'll wait for some better screen protectors to come out. In the meantime, I have the InCase pouch that I keep the iPad in, but again, it's very difficult to slide the iPad in and out of the pouch. But this case is okay, I'll keep it.

This is an excellent case and fits the iPad just right, not too tight. The best part about the case is that the silicone material prevents the iPad from slipping out of your hands, in addition to protecting the back from scratches. However, I am not satisfied with the the screen protector that came with it. I was not successful in applying it properly. Kept leaving bubbles. After a couple of tries, I simply gave up. I would buy it just for the case.

I wanted a cover with a rubbery texture so the iPad wouldn't be as likely to slide off surfaces, and I wouldn't be as likely to drop it. This is exactly what it is. Shipping was quick also, overall a very good purchase for the price. The free screen guard works just like the iPhone versions and fits well too.

The screen protector was impossible to get all the little bubbles out. The screen protector was prone to getting things embedded in the outside face. The handling sticker on the screen protector required mineral oil to get the sticky off.

The rubbery case felt uncomfortable on my hands and made my hand feel a bit itchy.

I have an iPhone and have used a silicone case protector from Belkin. It has none of these problems.

Now I know why it was cheap. Had I paid more I'd be furious. As is I took it off and wrote it off as a bad purchase.

I don't know if I received a faulty case or not, but it was overall terribly made. If all you want the case to do is protect your ipad, then this case does an okay job. However it does not look good and it gets in the way of using the ipad. The bottom of the case does not stay on top of the ipad but rather bends forward. Furthermore the back of the case is not smooth. I cannot say anything about the screen protector because I do not plan on using it. I suppose I got what I paid for, and because this product is unreliable, I suggest looking at other cases.

This iPad cover is functional and cheap, and that's about all you can say positively about it. The material is a cheap rubbery substance that carries static and therefore attracts hair and lint. The fit for the most part is okay, except the cover bends upward near the square button because the rubber is thinner there, and this looks very poor. If you want to protect against scratches and a mild fall, this protector will do the job.

The included clear screen protector is the standard design with removable front and rear sheets to reveal the actual cover. The screen protector works perfectly well, but applying it isn't for the impatient. You must thoroughly clean the screen before applying and ensure even the smallest lint has been removed. Apply the protector, and for the lint that you missed and causes a bubble, peel the protector back until you can pick off the lint using a piece of scotch tape. - Apple Ipad - Screen Protectors - Case - Ipad'

Light Weight - cheap, awesome

This thing is awesome. I run two film crews shooting on DSLRs in remote countries with no support with custom rails packages for their accessories, and both kits use this shoulder mount for body stabilization. It's just so versatile! Yes, it is cheap as hell. You could snap it over your knee. But you know what? If you're worried, just buy EIGHT of them for the price of half a RedRock or Cavision or whoever-else shoulder mount. I say again: incredible. CowboyStudio Shoulder Support Pad for Video Camcorder Camera DV / DC

This little unit pretty much does exactly what it says. You can film without touching/holding the camera, making it easier to zoom, focus, and see where you're going. You can also "hold" the camera longer without fatigue. The brace is plastic, but feels sturdy enough to take any reasonable abuse. The foam covering looks a bit flimsy (both in terms of eventual decay or coming off), but easy to repair in that event. I bought this for DSLR video. It places the camera in a good position for viewing the screen, but a little two far away for using a LCD lounge/eye piece. After playing around a bit, I found I could reverse the middle bracket piece to position the camera perfectly. A word of perspective: this doesn't give you the smoothness of a real steadicam rig. It's attached to your body, so when you breath, it moves.

I'm a pretty big guy, so this thing isn't the most comfortable, but I know that's because I'm big. It's not a flaw of the device. It's made of plastic, but it doesn't appear to be weak, and it does exactly what it's advertised to do. It's a nice little shoulder mount, especially for the price. This seems to be a rare case of getting a little more than what you paid for. I wouldn't stress the mounting arm too much with a lot of add-ons, though, because, in the end, it's plastic. Great for my T2i/550D and other lightweight DSLR's/camcorders.

Although the brace is made of plastic, it seems very sturdy and able to support my Canon 5D, 24-70mm lens, viewfinder and camera mic. The rig is a little snug on the shoulders if you're a big guy like my self but it's still functional. I attached a manfrotto quick release plate, otherwise you'll have to use the time consuming screw mount. If you don't have hundreds of dollars or not a DIY person, this rig is for you. It's not perfect but it's certainly good enough for $20.

I didnt understand why everyone said it was so cheap on here and easy to break i went to the office where the product was at and tried it out and when i saw it i was expecting flimsy wood, product however it was the opposite very sturdy and strong plastic this product is very well priced as well especially for the Canon HV30. Thanks for the product........

6ft tall

220 pounds

I bought this as an economical substitute for much pricier shoulder rigs, and was surprised at how well it works. I'm leery about using the longer attachment, but the smaller one works just fine. You cannot beat this price for a shoulder rig without going the DIY route. Breathing can show up in footage at longer focal lengths, but otherwise I cannot recommend this enough.

I came across this nifty device several months ago while shooting a commercial. A friend of mine was using it as a shoulder rig for his DSLR and after trying it out I could not believe how well it worked. Then he told me the price and well for $30 its a steal. Size and weight are a huge factor in the effectiveness of this product. It is small enough to pack in your gear bag and very easy to deploy on the run. This rig is not a replacement for a traditional rail system, however it serves its purpose well. At the end of the day; if it is lost, stolen, or broken it is only $30 and not $2000. For that I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is starting to get into the film and video industry but does not have a lot of cash for the big toys.

Works like a charm, and worth every penny. If you need an affordable and simple way to get your camera up onto your shoulder, this is it. This is probably cheaper than most DIY solutions and it's very comfortable from what I can tell so far. We'll see after a long shoot, but so far so good.

Some of the people who can actually afford the pro shoulder rigs out there are actually using this $24 one in conjunction with their rail system because the supports on this little guy are actually much more ergonomic than the ones that often come with the more expensive stuff. Go Figure.

And the other reviews that are saying the additional little add-on riser and extender are cheap or flimsy are overstating things a bit. Yeah, they're made of plastic, but they're not flimsy or junky. I was expecting those little pieces to be made out of happy meal toy plastic or something, but they're actually made out of the same durable hard plastic that the rest of the rig is made of. They're able to hold my camera, any of my lenses, lcdvf, and rode vid mic with no trouble whatsoever.

The reason I gave this only 4 out of 5 is because the rig kinda sits a little weird on my shoulder. It's something to do with the piece that is supposed to rest on your chest. I'm a pretty big guy, so there isn't too much wiggle room with the way the the shoulder piece wraps around the back and the chest piece sits on front. It works, but it's not as adjustable as it would be for a skinny guy. Not really a huge fault of the manufacturer, but the way this thing sits isn't super adjustable in the first place. - Cheap - Support - Awesome - Digital Slr'

Bicycle Accessories - rain pants, cycling

Just adding my one star review to other reviews that this rain suit is a waste of money. I bought one to take to football games and it tore after standing and sitting a few times the first game I used it at. Coleman Lightweight PVC Rain Suit, Clear, X-Large

This rainsuit does exactly what it is meant to do...keep you dry without bulk. It is sized well...sleeves and pant legs are long enough for taller than average people (those that need shorter can cuff/cut the lengths). The item folds up small enough to carry unnoticably in a backpack or tote bag...maybe not small enough for some pocketbooks though. As the product description says it is lightweight so don't expect it to be stronger than a trashbag. I originally bought it for myself, but my teenage daughter took it from me and used it while at a rainy day at Universal...yes, I got stuck using the crummy poncho. I am on Amazon now ordering more for the rest of my family because she liked wearing it that much (and no rips).

I work in an area very near to the ocean and I was not having luck finding a rainsuit in size XXL. My finding an affordable rainsuit was necessary to keep my job. I thank you Amazon for being there to help. - Wet Weather Coat - Rain Pants - Rain Coat - Cycling'

This is a good, solid product. It works as it is supposed to and appears to be well made. It came with four little foam "stickers" to put on the bottom to prevent scratches to the desktop.

I am quite pleased with this purchase. It helped organize and more effectively utilize my desk space. Safco Mesh Desk Organizer with Two Horizontal and Six Upright Sections (3255BL)

Great for those who need several folders in easy reach at once. I bought it to use as a staffing recruiter, and needed about 4 folders for different stages of the process. This fit the bill perfectly and the bottom two slots I use for blank forms and an in-box. Two extra slots on top give me peace of mind for future expansion. I love this thing.

This is not an inexpensive product, but I love it. It fits on my desk and helps me keep everything in order. It's much more attractive than other organizational tools I saw online. I'll probably have it forever.

Great product for those who tend to pile paper on their desk top. Coupled with letter size file folders it was easy to get organized and equally easy to retrieve file papers by category. Highly recommend.Safco Mesh Desk Organizer with Two Horizontal and Six Upright Sections (3255BL)

I saw this item in the Gold Box deal section. I looked at it just wondering why it costed almost $40. I was surprised to hear that the top slots were 2" wide. This is a very good-sized unit. I added it to my cart, and also after checking its dimensions, I also picked up from Amazon a Whitmor 6054-585 Supreme Wide Stacking Shelf, Chrome (note: the one measuring 14"x15"x15", not the wide one). The Whitmor shelf fits *perfectly* over the Safco organizer. Between these two products, I have organized my workspace tremendously.

As far as the Safco itself, I find the build quality to be above average, definitely exceeding expectations. It's much sturdier than similar fare I've seen in office supply stores. This product was well worth the cost, and turned me on to Safco. I will definitely consider their other products based on the quality of this organizer.

I am a teacher and have a rather large corner desk at home that quickly becomes cluttered with schoolwork, bills, mail, etc. I had a hard time finding a good filing system in the stores.

I looked on Amazon and found this black, mesh organizer perfect for my desk! As soon as I got it, I set it up on my desk and was able to fit all my folders and random junk on it. My desk doesn't look cluttered anymore, I'm able to find everything I need, and it even matched another black mesh item I already had on my desk! - Organizer - Desk Organizer - Desktop - File Sorters'

Beauty And The Beast - disney blu-ray, disney

I had a very unusual experience seeing this movie in theaters.

I watched it, I had a great time, I laughed, cheered, was thrilled, and the moment the credits started to roll the people in the row behind me IMMEDIATELY started spouting off how much they HATED it. I was flabbergasted. I was sorely tempted to turn around and ask them if we even just saw the same movie? How could anyone hate something that's so much FUN?!

But after thinking about it, I could see actually why they didn't get into it. Cars 2 is the first Pixar movie where you really have to 'get the joke' of the premise, or the whole thing falls apart like a house of cards. What this movie is, is the best James Bond movie of the last 15 years (not counting Casino Royale which transcends Bond movies to be just a great spy movie), with a bit of The Accidental Spy thrown in.

I LOVE Bond movies. The crazy opening sequences, the insane gadgets, the quippy lines. And Cars 2 hit pitch perfect parodies of every Bond standard. But you could never say of any Bond movie that it's got a deep emotional core, that's not how they're made. They're made to be balls to the wall fun and thrills, and that's what this movie is. Which of course makes it the polar opposite of the original Cars. It could hardly be more different.

If you get the joke, that this is a James Bond movie with cars, it's a riot. Loads of fun. It's not deep, it's not going to tug at your heart strings, it will not make your mother cry three or four times (as virtually ever Pixar movie ever made prior has done to my mother, I take her to Pixar movies with a bucket). It's just riotous fun. And I'm amazed that people are punishing Pixar for making a movie that's just pure fun. Granted Pixar is famous for it's deep emotional stories, and I suppose people expect that sort of thing every time. Even if you make a fun and entertaining movie, if you don't do what people expect, they bite your head off for it.

I went in with few expectations cause the early reviews bashed it to pieces, and I was frankly not that big a fan of the original movie. In the first Cars McQueen spends an enormous amount of the movie whining, and I found him generally unlikeable until fully halfway through the movie. It was a good movie, with a lot of heart and a message, but not one I would describe as a lot of FUN. Mater especially, a little of him went a long way in the first movie, and I was really worried about him being the star of this movie, because if a little of him annoyed me in the first movie, this one has 10 times more of him.

And yet, he actually annoyed me LESS this time around, cause he had something to do instead of just hanging around being Mater. They struck a perfect balance in his 'mater-ness' where the Accidental Spy nature of his story is charming instead of just annoying. And even more to my amazement, Mater's unique perspective DOES actually help solve the mystery. He's not just a bumbling idiot gumming up the works, he does actually help.

I was also constantly amused at the imagination that went into Cars-ifying the world. Even little touches like the swanky party in Towkyo (not a typo! ha!), the elevators are giant pistons that come out of the floor. I didn't expect it at all but once I saw it was it was so perfect.

To sum up, I have to say, I enjoyed this movie MORE than the original Cars. Yet at the same time I'll fully agree that the original is a technically superior film in writing and character, but Cars 2 is way more fun. If you go into this with the right attitude, that you're seeing a James Bond movie with Cars, that it's meant to be pure fun and embrace it on that level, there's a lot to love.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it IS shallow. I won't say it's a perfect film on every level cause it's not. But it doesn't deserve the hate it's getting, it's just a fun movie, and there's nothing wrong with that. If it doesn't quite transcend to the levels of brilliance of The Incredibles or Wall:E, that doesn't make it BAD, it suffers only in comparison to other Pixar work, compared to anything else, it rocks. :) Cars 2 (Two-Disc Blu-ray / DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging)

I too was looking forward to watching this movie with my kids. The 1st movie was well written and had a good story line about what happens when you become selfish. The 2nd movies was nothing like the 1st one. The story line was about the evil oil industry and trying to kill cars. I am not adverse to violence, because I grew up with Bugs Bunny and the Warner Brother cartoons. I let me children watch these shows, but the violence is appropriate to what the characters are doing. The Cars 2 movie was covering adult material trying to make young children understand the message. Gas burning cars are bad, and push green energy. They tried to do the same thing in WALL-E with covering adult material. Please keep the social engineering to politics and leave our children alone. It will be a long time before I see a movie in a theater with my children. I will stick to reviewing DVD movies at home before letting them watch the movie. It is a darn shame the movie industry doesn't see the original Cars movie as a template to produce great movies for families to watch together at the theater.

I'm the mother of a four-year-old boy who has seen "Cars" roughly 2.7 billion times in the past two years he's been watching movies. It was, and is, his favorite film, and even I don't mind hearing it on the endless loop it seems to be on in our minivan DVD player. My son was DYING to see "Cars 2," in the theater, "with the glasses," and we went this past weekend. (He even knew the opening date from the ubiquitous TV ads and preview trailers on various DVDs and has been talking about this for MONTHS.)

To sum up his review: he wanted to leave halfway through to, "go home and play Legos." This was his second-ever in-theater movie; first, "Tangled," when he was only three, he loved and had no problem sitting through, even with the 3D glasses on.

The "Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation" short at the beginning was brilliant. Really shows they could do a "Toy Story 4," which I guess Tom Hanks recently hinted at, but please spare us a "Cars 3."

This was a shoot-'em-up spy movie which MAY have worked with another conceit but had nothing to do with the established Cars universe, so why do a second film? The races were secondary (almost pointless), the entire message of friendship and slow-down-and-enjoy-life from the first film was COMPLETELY thrown out the window, and a little of Tow Mater goes a LONG way. Unless you're a rabid Larry the Cable Guy fan, this is an easy wait for the DVD. And if you're child-free, this is a Pixar film you're gonna want to pass on.

I agree with the critics: This is Pixar's first failure. (That Oscar streak has definitely come to an end.) Not the worst kids' movie I've ever seen, but I expected far better from Disney and, especially, Pixar. The plot was pointless and silly (and I grew up a rampant James Bond fan), the dialogue lacked the clever repartee of previous Pixar pictures (what usually keeps the adults watching) and it just wasn't very fun at all. Expertly animated, of course, with plenty of "cool" chases and spy gadgets ... But that's not nearly enough to carry a movie. - Disney Blu-ray - Blu-ray - Beauty And The Beast - Disney'

Turtle Beach - turtle beach, xbox 360

I waited to write my review until a week after receiving my headset. I have owned two sets of Turtle Beach headsets, I have an audio background, and I wanted to write a definitive review from somebody who has used multiple sets of their products and had knowledge in the audio field. The Turtle Beach X31's are a repackaging/redesign of the popular Turtle Beach X3 headset. I've owned the Turtle Beach X1's and now the X31's.

I'll start with the good. The X31's have some great features! Here is a list of basic features and improvements:

-Almost everything is updated! The X31's improve on everything that was decent in previous Turtle Beach headsets and you can tell Turtle Beach is definitely ironing out some of the complaints from previous model headsets and starting to get it "right."

-Newly redesigned 40mm drivers/speakers. You can hear a difference in the quality! Upper mids and highs/treble frequencies are a lot better represented, providing more clarity to the game sound.

-Chat boost. When the game audio gets louder, it slightly increases chat volume to match it so the game audio doesn't drown out chat voices.

-Effects. Bass boost button. Stereo widening button. Stereo widening + bass boost button. (each are all on the same button, you click it a number of times and hear an audible beep in your headset each step of the way)

-Power. Runs on two AAA's. I recommend Duracell rechargeable NiMh batteries. Battery life is what the package claims from my personal testing. It has a circuit in the headphones that helps use up every bit of power from the batteries. Typical battery life is around 20 hours in regular use with Bass Boost engaged. Also, the headset will shut off automatically if no signal is detected for five minutes, which is nice.

-Comfort. They redesigned the headphone cups to go around your ears better. The material on the cups is also softer and less plastic like. It's fabric mesh that is more breathable.

-Wireless. Truly wireless. Wires all plug in near your TV then you only have one wire to your controller to pick up the chat. The wire is redesigned as well, there is no "puck," it's a straight shot into your controller so that you can use the chatpad if you have it as well. =)

-Technology. 2.4ghz RF that is no longer "line-of-sight." In testing, the unit worked anywhere around my TV from within about 15 feet of the sender unit.

-Basic functions. Boom mic that bends out of your way easily. Being able to mix the chat/audio on separate controls. You can actually hear in older emulated games like Halo 2! (emulation makes the voice really soft in a game like Halo 2 if you're running it on a 360)

-Audio quality. This is a very nice headset compared to Turtle Beach's older models. I really enjoyed my X1's, but they were overly bassy, especially in the chat. This time around, it seems like the chat and audio go through separate processing. There's more mids and highs, not "bass all the time only with a bit of highs sprinkled in." The dynamic range is a lot clearer, there's more frequencies represented and better separation at loud volumes.

-Online advantage. I play mostly first person shooters online. I would say this headset has saved me at least 2-3 times PER MATCH that I've tried it out in. The better audio quality makes footsteps stand out better than with previous Turtle Beach models. The games I tested were: Doom, Halo 2, Halo 3, Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield: 1943, Call of Duty 4, Ghost Recon, and some other non-FPS games. In each game, I could clearly hear when there were footsteps around me. Also, even though the headset is only stereo (no 5.1 Dolby Digital), you can hear a distinct direction each sound is coming from with this headset. I could even hear when there were snipers around me, I could hear the bolt cycling on their sniper rifle! (even if they were upstairs...play Bad Company with this headset, it's a real treat!)

-Mic monitoring. Mixes in a bit of your own voice so you don't talk too loudly with the headset on.

Now here's a list of the negatives/improvements I think Turtle Beach could make:

-Price. Still a bit rough at $99.95. They are worth it, but a $79.99 tag seems a bit more realistic to me for Turtle Beach going forward.

-Mic monitoring. It mixes in your voice and you can hear yourself in pre-game lobbies, but let's get realistic here, as soon as all the game audio comes in, you can't hear yourself AT ALL. You still end up talking too loudly with the headset on.

-Material on earcups. The headphones are way more comfortable, but I noticed all around my ears you'll get some kind of black ink wear-off. The material they used rubs off on your skin and leaves black marks all around your ears? I can't believe somebody didn't notice this when playtesting the headphones before the company gave the green light to ship them?

-Chat. I know it's hard to take a low-level, noisy chat signal that is using really small bandwidth from Xbox Live and increase it real loud and make it sound good. The chat is a HUGE improvement, don't get me wrong. I still think they could make it better. They mention that there is no "hiss" from game audio. There isn't. The game audio itself sounds uncompressed and great. The problem is, you get a noisy chat signal, plus if you're using a wireless controller with batteries, you get an annoying hiss from that with the chat signal. I do not know for the life of me why Turtle Beach (an audio company, mind you) could not implement a "noise gate" into the chat processing so low level hiss could be eliminated and the gate would open up when speaking or voice comes through. That could be a simple button you could use to turn the noise gate on or off.

Also, with the chat, they took ALL the bass out of chat. It would be nice to have a little bass in there. Games like Halo 3 have the chat so loud that it starts to break up and distort, it's almost too much treble all the time in your ears! (and yes, I have the chat set up correctly, it's not boosted too much and my sender unit is set correctly as well along with dashboard/guide chat volume)

-Audio levels. A big one for me. It seems like you don't get audio out of the headset until it's up 1/3 of the way, then it starts increasing. You wish there was just a bit more audio that you could push the volume level to. You wish there was just a bit more bass that was added in as well. You still get a full bass sound, but it's not close to the X1's. I know it's wireless and they made them a bit quieter and with a little less bass to conserve battery life since low frequencies take more energy to reproduce notes, but you still wish there was a bit more, especially after using the X1's that get LOOOOUD and have a ton of bass! I was expecting the bass boost button to do a tad bit more...

-Battery life. Great at around 20 hours. I wanted to point out once again to buy rechargeables, because you will definitely go through batteries!

-Effects. I found the "stereo widening" function absolutely useless. It's not something they needed to add in and they could have made some other better effect or maybe another click to the bass boost instead.

Over all, I gave this headset a 4 our of 5. It's a great headset and a nice step up in features from the X1's and X3's. I think if Turtle Beach does one more headset, they will get everything right and put out an even better product. Worth the money, I would buy this headset again and recommend it to friends.

Notebook Computer Case

The Caselogic VNA-210 is a nice little attache-style case for netbooks or other small electronics. It is constructed from lightweight nylon and polyester (not neoprene foam), and features a large device compartment and two front pockets for accessories.

There is a decent amount of padding on the front and back of the main compartment for protection. The largest of the accessories pockets has internal pockets for a cellphone/mp3 player, usb flash drive, plus a couple of pen loops to keep it all organized. The vertical front pocket could only fit something small flat, as there is little-to-no gusset room here. A removable shoulder strap is also included.

The attache design means that the zipper to the main compartment only opens to just around the top corners. Although the VNA-210 states it fits netbooks '7 inches to 10.2 inches', it does not fit all 10.1" netbooks (it did not fit my Hercules eCafe), so make sure you measure your netbook first. According to the tag, the main device compartment of the VNA-210 has internal dimensions of/will only accommodate a netbook up to 10.5 x 7.7 x 1.5" (26.6 x 19.5 x 3.9 cm).

Overall, the Caselogic VNA-210 seems a well-constructed, lightweight, sturdy little case that is very suited for small netbooks and/or other electronics on the go. Case Logic VNA-216 16-Inch Laptop Attache (Black)

I got this to carry my new iPad. I'd also gotten a plastic back cover for the iPad, which made it not fit into the very tight iPad cases I found at the Apple store. The iPad fits very well inside this bag, with the outside pocket to hold the charger. Highly recommended, and great quality for the price.

When shopping, I showed several to my wife--this she gave thumbs up since it looks like a small laptop bag, and not a purse :)

I have a power cord-adapter,External DVD Drive and cord, stack of DVD's, manuals, 6 Flash Drives, and the shoulder strap all tucked in the largest extra side pocket, my cell phone and keys in the smaller outer pocket for quick access, and it still retains it's slim-line look just like the ad said-no lumpy look or feel. It's well designed and well-made,priced alot less than bags without extra pockets or shoulder strap included. Made of a rugged material-not cheaply made like those soft flimsy ones. It's nice and small like my 10.2" Acer Aspire One netbook, but has a little elbow room for it, not squeezed in. It's very functional AND Stylish-VERY Stylish-Sleek! I love it and could't be happier with it. Perfect for storing my Netbook and it's accessories in one place at home, and protects it from weather and scratches-bumps (padded) while making it easy to carry it all on the go. It's Perfect!

I bought this bag as well as the "Case Logic LNEO-10 Ultraportable Neoprene Notebook/iPad Sleeve" for my 10" Asus 1015PEM netbook, thinking that the latter would be much slimmer to stuff into a backpack. Of the two, I prefer this bag. It's really not much thicker or bulkier than the neoprene bag and has more/better storage compartments and a shoulder strap. It has thicker padding on the bottom and around the edges, for much better protection if the bag is dropped. The neoprene bag has hardly any padding and seems like it wouldn't absorb any significant shocks. I also prefer the nylon exterior, which doesn't attract dust/dirt as much as neoprene and should stay looking good longer. This bag fits my Asus 1015PEM perfectly, whereas the neoprene model has a little more space and can stretch to accomodate a slightly larger computer.

This bag should work well when I travel - in addition to my netbook, it'll carry my small point and shoot camera, a mini tripod, chargers and travel mouse, as well as my passport and plane ticket, which will go into the outside pocket. If you plan to always carry your netbook inside of a larger bag or backpack, a simple sleeve would work, but for a compact and versatile bag at a great price, this one is hard to beat.

I was a little disappointed that the bag did not include the luggage strap or shoulder pad (attached to the shoulder strap) in the photos. I think these features are only included with the larger versions of this bag, and not with the 10". Despite this, I feel that the bag deserves five stars. BTW, my local Fry's has these bags for around $7 more than Amazon. Considering 9.75% CA sales tax, I saved over 60% buying from Amazon (w/ free shipping).

This is the right size for ... IPad in the Apple iPad case. Plus ... Tissues.. A pen and small notepad ( which I didn't need). ... And my phone. With a convenient shoulder strap and handle it is easy to carry. I was going out in the rain and if I didn't have the case I might have left the iPad at home. Price is right and features are great.

Fits my thinkpad 14.1 inch t400s perfectly. Has 2 extra compartments for other things. Overall looks like this thing will last a long time. Good finishing. One reviewer mentions "nothing stands out". That's silly, this isn't meant to be a laptop case with accents and leather stuff. Its a basic case for those who want practicality over looks. It get's 5 stars in that.'

120 Minutes - camcorder, pocket camcorder

I have been a Flip camera user since they released the first gen. Flip Mino HD (not the new metallic model). I loved the camera. For what I needed it for it was everything I wanted. However like ever product not everyone is going to love it one hundred percent. I did find a few faults with the my Mino HD.

#1 - I thought the camera was a little to small and felt very flimsy in my hand. My hand shaking seemed to be amplified by the very small flimsy feeling camera in my hand.

#2 - The touch sensitive controls were not that sensitive and pressing the controls caused the camera to shake and jerk.

But for the most part loved the sound and thought the picture was great.

Soon the Flip Ultra HD came out and I had to have it. Selling points on this camera were more storage space, no touch sensitive controls, and it was bigger and felt much more durable in the hand. But just like the Mino I did have some complaints.

#1 - The rechargable batteries sucked and when I tried to recharge them my camera kept getting hot, causing it to shut down or stop charging.

#2 - The microphone on the camera I thought was not as good as the Mino. Me being a band director I find that at times it distorts when filming my drumlines and band playing, but it was only on initial loud hits and pops.

Other than that I loved this camera and I use this one most of the time. This one has a wider shot then the Mino. It doesn't have touch sensitive controls making zooming much smoother. The camera is much larger and when my hand shakes the camera (video) tends not to.

Recently Cisco came out with the Flip Slide HD and once again I had to have it. I bought it the day it came out and took it to WGI World Percussion Championships in Dayton Ohio for some testing.

At first I was a little skeptical about the touch screen since I was not a fan of the Mino HD's touch sensitive controls. I was not to worried about the size since I think the bigger the size the more control you have and the less shaky your footage will be.

I think this shoots the best footage of all Flip Cameras. It is crystal clear. I was real surprised by the touch screen. It is not as sensitive as I thought it was going to be. Actually it is like if I was using my Flip Ultra HD. I love the feel in the hand. I am not real picky about the Slide out screen. I think that it is a great idea/feature and used it a few times this past weekend. The slide bar is a little confusing at first but you do get the hang of it. Its really not that big of a deal, but some people find this frustrating and give the camera a poor rating. I don't understand that. I love that they put a headphone jack on the camera. In the past two models I felt that the video got very pixelated when the camera was zoomed. I don't see that as much with the Flip Slide Hd. The video stays pretty clear when zooming.

I have only one issue with the camera. The Flip Slide HD has an omnidirectional microphone which is great (I am pretty sure the others use a unidirectional microphone), but it is really sensitive. Being close to my drumline at World Championships caused the camera to distort big time (inaudible at times). When I moved back away from them it got better (moved back like 15 - 20 yards). I am hoping that this will get fixed maybe in a firmware update or something like this.

I do have to say that I am a little upset with Cisco. I thought the new Flip camera would at least have image stabilization and the so much talked about WiFi capabilities, but no such luck. This however will not turn me away from my beloved Flip Cameras.

I have used a number of other HD Cameras such as the Kodak Zi8, and I prefer the Flip.

In my opinion

Flip Mino HD - Best Microphone

Flip Ultra HD - Widest Angle for shooting, feels the best in the hand

Flip Slide HD - Best Video Quality

Thanks

Nick

****UPDATE**** (June 7th, 2010)

I have finally gotten around to uploading some video to youtube that showcases the Flip SlideHD and the Flip Mino HD. (click the youtube video link at the bottom of this update) You will be able to see and hear the difference in quality. The first four clips of the video were shot with the Flip Slide HD. You can see that the microphone is very active and I am standing about 10 to 15 feet away when I am video taping. The 5th, 6th, and 7th clips in the video are shot using the Flip Mino HD. I switch because it started raining and the Mino is my older camera so I really didnt care to much about getting it wet. The very last clip of the video is with the Flip slide HD. It stopped raining so I got out the new one to do more tests, since I only had the camera for about 2 days. The video was made in Final Cut Studio so there has been some compression to the video.

Hope this video helps a little.
