Memory Cards - transcend, 4gb

UPDATE - March 2, 2010: This review was originally written for the 4 GB class 6 SDHC card, but the reviews have been grouped for all class 6 SDHC cards in the 4, 8, 16 and 32 GB sizes. All the cards should perform similarly since they are all class 6 and all made by Transcend. However, I will have to check which cards I have used hands on. I believe I only own the 4GB and 8GB cards. I will update the review further. If you have concerns regarding the 16GB or 32GB sizes, you should seek out the reviews tagged with the product links from those cards.

The Transcend 4GB SDHC CARD (Class 6) is a great card for the price. I was at first a little skeptical about the brand, but I buy way too many memory cards to ignore a good price when I see one. And I'm happy to report that I've experienced decent performance and reliability issues with this card. That's as compared to other cards I own including SanDisk, PNY and Kingston.

As long as your devices are compatible with the SDHC format, this card is a good buy. 4 GB is a nice size though I do prefer 8 GB capacity for high capacity storage.

The class 6 speed is the fastest speed available in mass market SDHC cards. Class 6 guarantees minimum transfer speeds of 6 MBs, but I've gotten speeds up to 20Mbs! That makes this card perfect for storing pictures in RAW image formats.

The Class 6 speed is on par with the Sandisk Extreme III cards that on average are about $15 to $20 more per card. If you don't have an SDHC reader, you may opt to get the package with a reader included to download your pics. If not you can just transfer your pics directly from your camera with your card still inserted. An SDHC card reader can be bought separately if your PC doesn't have a compatible slot.

General SDHC and SD Card Tips

There are a few tips that I've learned the hard way through buying TOO MANY different memory cards.

1. Make sure your device is compatible with the card! Even in regular SD cards, some older electronics aren't compatible with that large of a size (2 GB). In terms of SDHC cards, make sure your camera or other device is SDHC compatible. SDHC is different from regular SD and only newer devices tend to have built-in compatibility

2. Once you install this in your camera or device, you will generally want to format the card with your compatible device's interface. That is because the standard formats for certain devices, particularly Canon, are different from the factory installed format

3. Just like your devices, most computer SD card readers are not compatible with the SDHC format. So use a card reader or download the pictures via USB connection to the camera with the card still installed.

4. For some reason, placing the card in the locked position allows some older laptops to still read it. This is just to be used in a pinch however, and it won't apply to all systems

5. If you did not properly format your card, you may be able to save things to it and then have them "disappear." If this happens to you, make sure you use the software recovery tools BEFORE you try to save anything else to your card. That way, you can retrieve your images without over-writing them.

6. Make sure you know what you are going to use this card for. Once you have set up everything and ensured it's all compatible, you still have to decide on speed. If you are using this for storing RAW images instead of JPEGs or HD video, step up to the faster class 6 speed format if you can afford it.

7. If you are going to pay more for a faster speed, make sure your device can benefit from it. I've read, for example, that Kodak cameras are set to a fixed voltage and cannot go faster than standard speed. So the extra cash spent on Class 4, 5, or 6 is basically wasted.

Conclusion

It's great to have several extra cards on hand just in case. This 4 GB card is a nice performer. If you have a high capacity camera (10 Megapixels or more) and are storing videos or RAW images, the extra cash for the 8GB card is worth it. Or you may want to step up to the larger 16 GB size that is now available.

Enjoy! Transcend 4 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS4GSDHC6

This SDHC card is the fastest one in its price range but it may cause your images to be lost.

I use two of this in a Canon SD750. After the first use, all of the images were lost. (But thank God, I could rescue them with Lexar Image Rescue 2, a program better than its competitors) Then I formated the card(s) in the camera(s) with "low level format" option several times and there has been no problem after that so far.

I can suggest these points to potential owners of this card:

1- Use it very carefully, make backups if possible.

2- Format it several times before the first use with "low level format" option.

3- If you loose your images, don't panic. At this situation, It is very important not to take anymore pictures. If you take pictures after this point, you can overwrite your lost images and there can be no chance to get them back. Connect your card to your computer with a card reader (SDHC Compatible) and rescue them with Lexar Image Rescue. - 4gb - Sdhc - Sd Card - Transcend'

Samsung Vibrant - samsung, galaxy s

USB charger works perfect. I use it everyday when I'm at work to charge my phone. the Car charger surprisingly seems to be made out of a good quality wire. works perfect. The wall charger locks up the screen. I let it stay on for a minute but then threw it away because it kept on locking the screen. I didn't want it to cause any malfunctions to my Epic.

4 stars because I really didn't need the wall charger.

**UPDATE**

Dec. 14, 2010

I ordered a 2nd order of this combo package because I needed a 2nd car charger. this time the wall charger works PERFECT. the car charger and usb cable work as well. The price is cheap the product aesthetics are not which is a surprise. I'm happy with the this purchase for my favorite phone ever the Samsung EPIC. Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G Combo Rapid Car Charger + Home Wall Charger + USB Data Charge Sync Cable for Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G

Great price, however the wall charger doesn't work with my Samsung Epic. It disables the touch screen, and causes random screens to pop up even though you haven't touched the screen. The car charger works, and the sync cable appears to work for charging, but if you specifically want a wall charger, look elsewhere!

Edited to add that the seller was most courteous, and did send me two replacement wall chargers, but they don't work with the Epic either. I think it's because they are generic chargers? Everything else works though!

1. Wall charger

As the previous reviews from others mention, it freezes the phone. It happened to me and happened again when I got the replacement.

2. USB cable

While it charges the phone, it fails to recognize the phone when you try to access it from the computer. I can tell for sure that it's a cable problem because I had no problem accessing the phone using the original samsung cable on the same computer and the phone. The replacement didn't work neither.

3. Car charger

Car charger is the only item that has worked with no issues so far.

Researching on the internet, it seems like the sophisticate smartphones like Epic 4G is sometimes not compatible with generic USB cables. Sure, I could understand that, but it's still sellers responsibility to test the functionalities before starts selling it. All the previous reviews as of now describe some issues.

For contacting the seller experience, the first contact to request the replacement reached when I sent them email twice. The second contact, when the replacements failed, was simply ignored.

i haven't used these power cords extensively but i was able to power my epic with both the car charger and the wall charger. the epic's battery life isn't the best (yes, even with everything turned off) compared to my previous phone (the moto q9c, 1 of sprint's 1st 3g phones) so these chargers will come in very handy! i travel for work and home for holidays so it's nice to not have to pack up (and potentially forget) my charger every time i go somewhere. my only complaint is that the wall charger is not very long (~2') and some hotels don't have a plug next to the night stand so it may not reach...oh well!

and you can't beat the price!! this item arrived very quickly from lowerpriceusa.

Items are exactly as described and work very well for my Samsung Galaxy S and my gf's HTC G2. Haven't had any problems with any of the items and are totally worth it for the couple bucks plus shipping it's going for. Recommend ordering this to have chargers/cables as backup in the car, office, bedroom, etc. I ordered 2 sets. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is b/c I wish the wall charger didn't have that annoying red LED light (makes me feel guilty when it's plugged in b/c it's wasting just THAT much more electricity). I wonder if the charger would still work if I physically killed the LED light...

"Product doese not work.. When you plug it up, it shows on the phone that it is charging, but when you unhook the charger the battery indicator doese not move it still shows that it is a low battery. This holds true for all 3 Items." Also the two metal prongs on the plug charger came off and stayed in my outlet. Had to turn power off to room to get the prongs out with pliers.

I just received the combo pack for my Epic 4G phone and I am very disappointed. The wall charger is horrible and made the screen on my phone vibrate and shake. Also while charging my phone kept jumping to various applications on my phone automatically. I was so looking forward to using this product and thought it would be nice to have the extra charger while at work, but I must say I am very disappointed in what I received today. - Usb Charger - Samsung Vibrant - Galaxy S - Samsung'

Wildlife Camera

I have tried several inexpensive game cameras, kept this one. I like the easy setup using dedicated switches instead of software function programing. Specs calls for trigger at 30 feet max range. The night photos are not well illuminated beyond 10 feet from camera. The daylight shots are fantastic. I was happy with this unit and needed another camera, so I upgraded to the Primos Truth cam 46. It cost more money and performance was not as good as Truth cam 35. Sent the Truth cam 46 back and ordered another Truth Cam 35. Happy with both Truth Cams 35. The video mode does eat up SD card space so I switched over to the 5 shot photo feature with 1 second delay between shots. uses a lot less card space and sharp photos. By the way the specs say 8 GB (SD HC MAX SIZE) My two Truth cams 35 accepted 16 GB SDHC and seems to work fine. I would have given the camera 5 stars, but the distance of the night photos beyond 10 feet were a little disapointing. Primos Truth Cam 35 Camera

I have several scouting cameras from a variety of manufacturers. My favorite is by far the Reconyx, but I just can't shell out that kind of money if I want more cameras. As much as I love that camera, I almost wish I had taken that money and bought 8 Truth Cams so I could cover more ground. Almost. Right now, I think this is the best value of any of the cameras I have.

For the money this is a great camera. It easily performs as well as some $200 cameras out there. My Reconyx takes better night pictures, and more of them, but I also spent a lot more money on that camera, almost 10x more.

Some pictures are a little blurry at night if the deer are moving fast, but it's really not that bad. You can still clearly make out the number of points on the antlers unlike the Moultrie camera that I have which just shows a white blur.

Daytime photos are awesome.

Couple of things to be aware of:

If you put it in the woods with a heavy overhead canopy, you will occasionally get white out photos. This camera is much better suited for more open areas such as fields or food plots. When I put it on the edge of a field, I do not get white outs. Also, if you do place it in thicker cover, don't set the sensitivity on high. You'll get lots of great pictures of trees. Every time a branch moves it will go off. Nighttime flash range is much better in open areas as well.

I've had it out in the field now for 2 weeks. It's already taken over 500 photos and the battery is at 98%. I'm using industrial D-Cell batteries that I special ordered so I expect them to last longer so take that with a grain of salt.

I can't give it 5 stars though. A Reconyx is a 5 star camera. This is not a Reconyx. Compared to one of those it's probably a 2 or 3 star camera at best. However, considering the performance/price ratio, it gets a 4. It is NOT the best camera out there, but it IS the best camera if you're on a tight budget.

Purchased this item thru Amazon. As soon as it arrived I took it out and mounted it in the woods.

The first 3 days I got 180 pictures of deer and turkeys. I have had it out for about 3 weeks now with hundreds of pictures (day and night) and it still has 85% of its battery life left. Which is 4 D batteries. Will be buying more of these. Very easy to use and set up.

Bought the camera and received it quickly as always with Amazon. Bought a new Kingston 4GB SD card to use in it at the same time. I unpacked it, put in the batteries and SD card, and tried the camera out in my yard. Took 8 great pictures, so I placed it aside until the weekend, when my wife and I took the camera, jumped in the truck, and took an 80 mile one way trip to our hunting property to place the camera. When we got to the food plot we had prepared for the camera, I placed it on the tree, and turned it on-------and got an "SDFUL" on the screen. I knew it wasn't, but tried a spare SD card anyway---same thing. Took the camera 80 miles back home, tried two more SD card of different brands---one 8GB and one 2 GB--and all registered full. Cards were reformatted in my computer, but got same results. The Truth Camera would not reformat the cards. If this is Primos quality, I don't need it. However, I contacted Amazon, and got their usual great service. I am fair minded and decided to have another camera sent to me in exchange. Surely I won't have the same luck twice. In any case, I will review the second camera as well, hopefully with a better result.

I purchased the Primos Truth Cam 35 on 9-11-2010. It was simple to setup. I placed it in the field on 09-26-10, and set it to take 3 photos every minute. I retrieved the camera from the field on 10-03-10. It took 6,542 photos (day and night) of deer, ferrel hogs, squirrels, and racoons on an 8GB SD card, with 70% battery life remaining. Of these photos very very few were of small game. There were hardly any blank photos, if any. The night time IR photos were clear, except some blur did occur on some of the photos, if the game was moving during the shot. The wildlife did not seem to mind the night IR LED's. I did not notice where it ever startled them, though sometmes they would look directly at the red LED's. A few photos were a little dark during the transition time between dark and light in the morning and between light and dark in the evening, but this was minimal, maybe 2-3 minutes worth. Overall the picture quality was very good, however the daytime pictures were all mono-chrome (not in color). I emailed Primos with a sample photo and they told me the camera was faulty and that it needed to be replaced. The Amazon transaction was seemless and smooth. Amazon sent me another Truth Cam 35 even before they received my return. I tested out the replacement just to be sure that it worked correctly before I place it in the field. It worked great and the outside daytime pictures were in color like they should be. The daytime colors seem really good. I'm looking forward to getting the camera back into the field this weekend, so I can get some really great color photos of the wildlife. I would recommend the Truth Cam 35 and I would buy it again.'

Watches

A very nice watch indeed. Classy, simple and elegant. And Baume et Mercier is a very well respected brand. One thing to note is that although it's quite a wide watch (diameter), it's very thin and light.

Overall, definitely recommended. Baume & Mercier Men's 8485 Classima Swiss Date Watch

I bought this on amazon through Gemnation with free 2 business day shipping. Got it today, it is very nice packaged, with a 2-year warranty card. The watch surface is larger than most wrist watch which I like. It is a very elegant timepiece.'

Wireless N Router - gigabit, dual band

We are a heavy intenet using famiily. If we aren't streaming Netflix or Roku, we have phones and computers all competing for bandwidth. I tried the new Linksys e4200, it was OK until too many people logged on wirelessly and started hogging bandwidth. The e4200 would really drop down in speed while it tried to deal with all of the wireless activity. So, I tried the WNDR3700 (v.98 firmware) The WNDR3700 has a fast processor and can handle a lot of wired and wireless users simultaneously. But, the WNDR3700 seemed to "hang" about once an hour for reasons unknown. When I say "hang", it might take 5 seconds to load a web page instead of the usually instantaneous load speed. It got a little annoying.

So, I picked up the ASUS RT-N56U router after reading all the reviews and tests on smallnetbuilder dot com. I have to say that this router is ridiculously fast (at least twice as fast as the WNDR3700) and has better reception throughout my entire house. In a location that I used to max out at about 7MB/s with the WNDR3700. I can now sustain 31MB/s in the same location. I have pretty much- 5 bars of wireless reception where I used to have 2 or 3 bars.

The ASUS RT-N56U is pretty easy to set up and I like the physical appearance too. Throw in the fact that it is smokin' fast and has great coverage and I think I got a heck of a deal for $127.

Highly recommended.

by the way, I just noticed that another reviewer was having problems with iPhones not connecting. Our iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, and Android phones are logging on fine, no issues.

*** UPDATE 3/28/11 So far, the RT-N56U is performing perfectly and all DD-WRT bridges are connecting at highest rate. I am running firmware 1.0.1.2

I tried to update to the beta 7.0.1.21 as well as the 1.0.1.3 firmware and all of a sudden some laptops had very laggy connections. Instead of instantaneous webpage loads, it would take literally 5 seconds to load??? So, I reverted back to 1.0.1.2 and all devices are running wide open again.

+++ UPDATE 4/30/11 Still running perfectly since new with no reboots. Simply awesome. ASUS (RT-N56U) Black Diamond Dual Band Wireless-N 600 Router, Hardware NAT, 5 Internal Antennas, AI Radar and Graphical Traffic Monitor

I have been in the market for an 802.11n router, and after having done some extensive research (as of April 1, 2011), I decided to go with Asus RT-N56U.

I can attest to the Asus RT-N56U being an excellent consumer-grade router even though it obviously falls short when it comes to more advanced enterprise-level features (where Cisco shines), which 99.9% of all users will never need or even know about. One of the excellent features of the Asus RT-N56U router (not often mentioned) is the fact that you can switch it to the AP (Access Point) mode. When Asus RT-N56U is switched to the AP mode, its WAN port becomes a switch port just like the other 4 LAN ports. You can utilize the WAN port to connect Asus RT-N56U to an external router, and thus not lose one LAN port for this. Therefore, when switching the Asus RT-N56U router to the AP mode, you retain all four LAN ports for the wired connectivity to other non-Wi-Fi devices at 1 Gbps each.

Asus RT-N56U supports concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios and the combined throughput via the back plane close to 800 Mbps (per the review by smallnetbuilder.com). In my personal test comparing Asus RT-N56U (in the AP mode) with the Cisco 1131 a/g Access Point, Asus provides nearly the same range in the 5 GHz band that the Cisco 1131 provides in the 2.4 GHz band. Asus RT-N56U 2.4GHz-band range extends beyond the Cisco 1131's range in the 2.4 GHz band. The Asus RT-N56U 5GHz-band range extends far beyond the Cisco 1131's 5GHz-band range.

As for the connection download speed, I was able to get almost twice the download speed when connecting wirelessly via the Asus RT-N56U (in the AP mode) vs connecting wirelessly via the Cisco 1131a/g AP. The numbers were as follows: 11.8 Mbps via Cisco 1131 vs 19.6 Mbps via Asus RT-N56U. In both tests, I used the same Internet router (Cisco 871) and the same Time Warner internet connection. I never knew that my Time Warner internet connection supported 20 Mbps until I tried using Asus RT-N56U. Now I know that my Cisco 1131 - and not my Internet connection - was the bottleneck to the Internet.

Asus RT-N56U can also be used as a NAS by utilizing one or two of its USB ports to connect an external USB drive. I tried USB flash sticks on both ports, and was able to transfer files to and from those USB drives. Additionally, you can create local users on the Asus RT-N56U and provide different levels of access (r/w, r, none) to different shares for different users. This is normally called user-based access, but Asus calls this "user with account" access. Otherwise, you can enable access to the entire drive for everyone if you do not want to deal with user-based access permissions; Asus calls this "user without account" access. I am sure most home users will choose the latter access method to avoid complexities that come with having to provision local users on the Asus RT-N56U router. I confirmed both methods of access to work when a share is mounted in Mac OS X as well as in Apple iOS (iPad2). I have run into a problem accessing a 32GB flash drive that had about 16GB of space taken by various files and directories via the the "user with account" access method from both Mac OS X and iOS, but had no such problem accessing a 1GB flash drive with almost all space taken by various files and directories; neither did I have any problem using the "user with account" access method when I tried a blank 16GB drive after moving a few files to it and then creating a few directories(see below on creating directories in the root of a USB drive). I believe that if I were to reformat the 32GB flash drive and then move all of the current files it has on it back to it, the "user with account" access method would start working properly on it. As for the file system on the USB drive, so far I have only tried FAT32, which works fine, but imposes a limitation on the size of each file to be a maximum of 4GB. If you need to go above this limitation, you will have to go with NTFS, HFS (for Mac), or ext3. I know for a fact that the Asus RT-N56U is compatible with ext3, but I am not sure if it can work with NTFS or HFS. If you have found one of these three file systems to be compatible with the Asus RT-N56U, please add a comment to this review. However, even if they are, the only file system that is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux is FAT32. So, if you are planning on running the Asus RT-N56U in a mixed environment and are planning to be able to read from and write to your USB drive directly from your computers as well as across the network, your common-denominator file system for the USB drive should be FAT32. If you are only planning on working with your files over the network, any file system that the Asus RT-N56U is compatible with would work for you as long as you can format your USB drive in that file system. As of this writing, the Asus RT-N56U cannot format a USB drive attached to it, so you would have to perform the formatting on one of your computers or use the default file system that your USB flash drive is formatted in, which is most likely FAT32.

It appears that even though you can manually mount USB devices connected to the Asus RT-N56U in Mac OS X (via Cmd+K in Finder), you cannot mount those drives by double-clicking the RT-N56U entry that pops up in Finder under Shared. I used the app called "Files Connect" on my iPad2 in order to enable Finder-like (or Windows-Explorer-like) file browsing capability. I was able to mount the USB drives by tapping on the Asus RT-N56U entry that Files Connect auto-discovers. I am not sure if Windows Network Neighborhood can auto-mount the USB drives connected to Asus RT-N56U because the manual says that you should enter the network path manually. If this is in fact the only way to mount an Asus RT-N56U share in Windows, you can always map a drive to the network path for the Asus RT-N56U in Windows.

Please note that you cannot create or delete any directory in the root directory of a USB drive connected to a USB port on the Asus RT-N56U while accessing the USB drive over the network. This is because the Asus RT-N56U considers the directories in the root of a USB drive to be network shares, and hence, it disallows the addition and removal of a share via the network. You will have to plug the USB drive directly in to a USB port on your computer (Mac, PC, or Linux) in order to create a directory in the root of the USB drive. Once you have done so, you can plug the USB drive back in to the Asus RT-N56U's port and assign the access permissions to this directory/share. You can, however, create and delete sub-directories of an existing share while the USB drive is plugged in to a port of the Asus RT-N56U, and the share is mounted via the network in Windows, Mac, or Linux. All sub-directories of an existing share inherit the access permissions specified on the share via the Asus RT-N56U's web GUI. The fact that you cannot specify a more granular access permissions to the sub-directories of a share is definitely a limitation for the enterprise, but should be no problem for a home or even a small-business user.

When you insert a blank USB flash drive in one of Asus RT-N56U's two USB ports, the Asus RT-N56U automatically creates a share (named "share") in the root of the drive and creates three sub-directories in that share (music, pictures, video). This is done in order to prepare the flash drive for the UPnP server that can be enabled in this router. I have tested the UPnP server, using Xbox 360 as the streaming client, and can confirm that the UPnP server works just fine in the Asus RT-N56U router. If, on the other hand, you insert a non-blank USB flash drive in to a port on Asus RT-N56U, no additional shares are created, and the access to all directories/shares in the root of the USB drive is provided as read/write. You can, however, modify the access permissions on a share-to-share basis and assign different types of access (r/w, r, or none) for different local users specified in the Asus RT-N56U.

Asus RT-N56U can be a print server, but this feature is of no use to me because for this feature to work, a Windows based program supplied by Asus is required. Because I use mostly Macs and Apple iOS devices, I cannot utilize the print-server feature of this router.

Last but not least, Asus RT-N56U can utilize one of its two USB ports to connect to a 3G or 3.5G cellular USB modem and share that connection among the Wi-Fi (and probably wired) LAN clients. I have not tested this feature, so I cannot comment on its usability and stability.

Overall, I don't think you can find a better consumer-grade 802.11n Gigabit Ethernet router as of this writing. Judging by the frequency of firmware releases for the Asus RT-N56U router, the bugs remaining in the firmware will soon be worked out, and hopefully, Asus will add additional features to this router, such as direct IP-based (or even Bonjour-based) print server so that Mac users can utilize the print-server feature of this router. Also, it appears that the "dd-wrt" team is working on porting their firmware on this router, so in the future, you may have a choice of replacing the stock firmware with "dd-wrt". - Asus - Gigabit - Dual Band - Wireless N Router'

Camcorder Batteries

The adapter is smaller in size than the original and fits better in our camera case, but works just as well. I had been hesitant to order it, since the price was quite a bit lower than purchasing it directly from Sony, but there appears no difference in the product. It works great! Sony AC-L200 AC Adapter for A, P & F Series Info Lithium Batteries

This charger is only about 2/3 the size of the AC adaptor which comes with the camera, making the AC-L200 an excellent choice to keep in the camera bag, especially if the camera's dock is continually used in the same location in your home, in which case the "standard" sized adaptor can remain plugged in to the dock. As can be seen in the photo, it can break down into two pieces, allowing various packing configurations.

This is what I needed to bring my HDR-HC3 back to life. It is a little expensive for a power adapter, but the shipping was fast. Note that the product description is a little misleading: you can use this adapter to charge the Info Lithium batteries directly; the charging will have to go through the camcorder.

over all good customer service but this wasnt what I thought it was. I searched for a sony charger and this is not a charger only and adaper to plug into the wall and turn on. Mistake on my part I guess, the packaged arrived on time and my complaint was responded to quickly and offered to help fix the problem.'

Cell Phone Accessories - droid, smartphone

I received this case for my Droid yesterday and it works great. The reviewer who gave it 1 star should have the product in hand before making assumptions, but the case DOES NOT cover the bottom 4 buttons (see my picture). As for mine, the case background is white and not silver.

The case does the job. I'm not sure how long the paint job will last before it starts chipping, but for now, it looks good and stays in place. It was a breeze to snap and install. Art Flower White Vintage with Pink Rose for Verizon Motorola Droid A855 Snap on Cell Phone Case

I've had the cover on my Droid a couple of days now. It fits perfect and secure, phone slides open and shut just fine. The print is nice and bright and it doesn't look like it will scratch off. The only thing is my finger doesn't fit in the upper left corner of the touch screen when I get an alert to pull down the icon for messages. It won't pull down because my finger doesn't lay flat on the screen, the cover is in the way. I find I have to go to the application to get the message. This doesn't bother me, but it might some. The only other thing is, which it not about the product it self, I bought 3 covers, paid $2.95 each for shipping. It was shipping from Southern Cal. going to Washington state and it took 14 days to receive it. Priority Mail would not have cost this much and I would have received it in 2 to 3 days.

I purchased this case for my phone a year ago and I'm extremely thrilled with it. This is the only case I use and it has not been removed from my phone for more than a few minutes since I got it.

The price is great, first of all. Not like the $19 Verizon wanted to charge for some silicone.

The artwork/design on the case has in no way, shape, or form faded, peeled, chipped, ETC.

I've grabbed this case with paint covered hands, muddy hands, just generally dirty hands, ETC and there isn't a single stain on it. I don't even have to wipe a plain cloth over it, its just smooth enough that when it brush against my hands, pocket, purse, ETC anything that might have gotten on it easily brushes away.

When not attached to my phone, I will admit it does feel flimsy, but it definitely is not. It snaps into place very easily, I've had no issues with any pieces breaking off anywhere. I've dropped my phone countless times and the case has protected it as well as escaped without a single scratch! It wasn't until I was running and lost grip of my phone, flung it several feet away on pavement that it even got a couple tiny scraps on a single corner.

The case does not cover any buttons or speakers on the phone, it doesn't make it difficult to slide open for the full keyboard or to slide closed. My only complaint about this case is that it can be tricky to get off sometimes when I need to remove the battery or something.

Otherwise, this is an awesome case and I am still very pleased with my purchase a year later.

This is a beautiful case for the droid and it fits perfectly. The only thing that might be a issue with this case is that it is slippery. The case is very smooth and if you have wet hands or sweaty palms, the phone might slip out of your hand easily. Other than that, its great! I would recommend it!

If you're looking or a lightweight, slim, and pretty cover, look no further. I've had multiple covers for my Motorola Droid - but this is the best one by far. My other covers made my already large droid colossal. But this one is slim and makes it fit easily into my small purses and back pocket.

This is a very beautiful case I love the case and it's even more pretty than the picture it fitted my phone really well and the service was very good and I received my case in about 8 days and I live in Mississippi you can't go wrong with this one. - Protective Case - Smartphone - Droid - Droid Case'

32gb Sdhc - memory card, sdhc

I was kind of skeptical of this card due to price and having never used any of this manufacturers products before. I mast say this card is excellent quality, its just as good as my other brand name cards and preforms well in all of my devices including my kodak playsport camera. If you need a high capacity, high speed card this is an excellent choice. Centon SDHC 32GB Class 10 Flash Card (32GBSDHC10)

Got it, popped it into my Canon Vixia HF200, formatted it and pressed record. Nada. Tried taking a still. That worked. Tried the camera at a lower record rate (12mbps) and that worked. So, in other words, THIS SDHC CARD IS NOT CLASS 10. It's slower than a Class 6 chip I already own. I'm gonna hold on to it because I only needed a backup chip, and it will work, but it's performance is definitely not what is being advertised. Now I'm reading some reviews about Centon's older Class 6 chip, and they're saying the same things. Caveat emptor.

This is the best SDHC card that I could find for the capacity/price ratio. The read speed is slow compared to a "class 6" Toshiba SDHC 8 GB, but the "class 10" isn't a hoax.

Formatted without a problem, am using it in my Casio EX-H10. I can take 3972 pictures on "fine" mode when empty, and 7569 photos on "normal" mode.

Will update if this card ever fails

Bought this for my older Panasonic DMC-LZ10K Digital Camera -- it's the maximum-sized SDHC Class 10 Flash Memory card specified by Panasonic for this camera. After a initial test run of a few pictures and movies, I found this memory card worked great. Took it on vacation, and it did its job well. Purchased for $36.99 (April 2011 price) which I felt was a great price for its capacity. - Sdhc - Class 10 - Memory Card - 32gb'

Walkman - cassette player portable

I recently bought this portable player, although I knew of what is in my opinion its major deficiency: NO DC POWER INPUT. This is a problem when you want to use the player at home (or other "fixed" location), possibly as an auxiliary input to an amplifier or to external speakers. The lack of DC input is however partly compensated because the (battery operated) player seems to be quite energy-efficient.

The digital radio controls are superior to those of most other portable players. The overall quality of the gadget is excellent and it includes useful features, most of them adjustable through the digital user menu.

I have only used the product for a few days, so I can't provide comments on long-term reliability.

Although there are more inexpensive alternatives, I would consider the product as an excellent buy if it is meant for use on the road, outdoors or by frequent travellers. Sony Walkman WM-FX290 - Radio / cassette player - silver

I bought this sony walkman after having my last sony walkman for many years. I tried buying a couple other brands, but very noisy & one didn't even have rewind. I would give this one a 5 star, except, after only having it about a month, i dropped it and the battery door hinge broke- now the battery won't stay in without constant force on the door, so----you guessed it---it's next to useless to me now. I've seen where others have complained about the same thing. But on a good note- this is the quietest buttons i've ever used. Can FF/RW,Play, etc... without hardly making a noise at all- which is important since the other ones woke my husband up. I really don't listen to the radio much, so can't comment on that. I'd buy again if i was sure the battery door wouldn't break again.

I really can't review the product because, after we ordered it, we learned that someone else had purchased the same thing for the intended recipient. So I'll just say the seller sent the product on time, it arrived in excellent shape, and sending it back was easy and hassle free. - Cassette Player Portable'

Electronics - pda, ipad

I am very pleased with my new iHolder iPad stand which I received today from Pyramid Distribution. I had completely researched just about every stand available on the market, and this one really had the features I was looking for. The design is very complimentary to my iMac with the aluminum stand; in fact, it makes the iPad look like a mini iMac. The fit and finish of the manufacturing process are of a high quality; the device is stable and just heavy enough to do its job. I did not find the aluminum finish to be a rough texture, or with sharp edges. In fact, it is as smooth as my Apple computer product. The rotating ball joint seems rugged enough to hold up. The base, the mounting pieces, and the ball joint which both rotates and adjusts the angle are heavy aluminum. The frame and arms that snap onto the edges of the ipad are a flexible grey plastic.

The major feature of the iHolder which is different from other units is that it easily adjusts the angle of the iPad to one of three pre-set angles; the competing stands do not adjust angle; they are a single fixed slope.

Overall, this is an attractive and well designed product, and I am glad that I purchased it.

The service from Amazon and Pyramid distribution were excellent. I ordered on Sunday p.m., it shipped from Massachusetts on Monday a.m. by USPS priority mail, and was delivered to me in Texas on Wednesday a.m. The packing protected the product well.

All of the iPad accessories are a little overpriced, it seems to me, but given what is available in the marketplace, I am pleased with this product at $49.95. iHolder iPad Stand (WiFi/WiFi+3G)

When I first saw this stand in a blog I thought ... Nice... Neat... And I bought it as a novelty to make my IPad look good on my desk. I was not using the IPad much. But once I used the stand which really looks good and is solid and heavy (once the IPad is attached), I started to use the IPad all the time. The stand fits perfectly on the armrest of my couch and is a great addition to my movie theatre seating. It is always there now and I do not have to boot my computer and wait when I quickly need to look something up. Perfect hight while I sit on my couch. touching the screen is easy and comfortable and does not feel like the device would fall off the armrest. It seems to be balanced perfectly.

I did not really plan this but the stand rally made my IPad convenient and useful. Great buy.

The only negative is the finish of the stand. It has very rough edges and a rough brushed metal surface that feels uncomfortable to touch. OH!.. and do not worry, the bottom of the stand is rubberized so it will not scratch whatever it touches.

I like it simply because it looks like a mini iMac. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend. The first one they sent was used and had wear and tear, I called to return because it was missing a screw and they replaced it free. They sent another used one but it wasn't in bad shape so I didn't complain. Once I put it together, the middle plastic piece seemed very fragile and the design covers up the buttons on the iPad. Just from looking at it I can see it won't last very long, I'm afraid to mess around with it fearing I'm going to break it. Overall if you want a good show piece that looks pretty cool it's for you, if you want durability and to make best use of this item then I do not recommend.

The iHolder is sweet! I have been using my iPad with my Bluetooth keyboard, but I was having trouble getting my iPad in a position that was easy to use. Now, with the iHolder, I can set the iPad up so it looks like a computer screen!

This is the ideal setup for when I am out of town and don't want to take my laptop with me. Instant computer desk! Love it!

I receive the product rapidly by USPS - Poste Canada. This stand is very beautiful and it's a charm to work with the ipad on it and the bluetooth keyboard. WOW !

J'ai reçu rapidement le produit expédié par USPS - Poste Canada. Le support est vraiment très beau et c'est un charme de travailler avec le ipad sur lui avec le clavier bluetooth. WOW !

I'm going to return it to find something better. I don't like the iHolder for several reasons.

- feels like it want to break

- it is not very stable

- any cable you connect makes the screen go crooked

- the company Green Figure does not answer its email when I sent questions

- the package arrived a mess, with crappy instructions

Shooting Accessories - peltor earmuffs, earmuffs

My husband & I both like to shoot at our local gun club and he was using ear covers that were so stiff and tight that headaches were a given. BUT then he tried my ear covers like these and loved them! So got him his own pair for his birthday :) They provide excellent ear protection on the firing range and are extremely comfortable and lightweight to wear!!! Great product! Peltor 97007 Bulls Eye 9 Hearing Protector

i can't give enough praise for the quality of these headphones. i'm not actually using these for their intended purpose .. i am a very light sleeper and sometimes the smallest noises will wake me up .. since buying these i can actually sleep and hear NOTHING .. the isolation and noise reduction of these muffs is top notch. i can actually SLEEP with these things on they are so comfortable .. to top it all off, Peltor makes these in Sweden! no wonder the engineering is so precise.

Great ear protection for shooting. The cushions are soft and the design is great--not too tight not too loose. Handguns, shotguns & small caliber rifles are some great uses for this pair of ears. You may want to wear earplugs with these ears if you shoot large caliber rifles. Personally the earmuffs worked fine for me while shooting my rifle but that's just me. Bottom line: this is a definitely a good (and cheap) buy!

I bought these for use in a small computer server room. They effectively dampen most frequencies, but don't completely block out the noise. You can hear human voices very clearly when using these, which may or may not be desirable, depending on your situation. They are very lightweight and seem reasonably comfortable, although I haven't worn them for longer than 30 minutes at a time.

I purchased this ear pro along with the Peltor MT15H7F (sound amplified at 6x the cost)

This ear pro block quite a bit of noise, however they don't block as much noise as the best foam inserts like the Peltor Skull screws 30db

The upside is that these are much more comfortable then the foam inserts over the time period of a few hours.

Minor negative is that if you wear eye pro with these they can sometimes make a gap between your head and the ear pro. If you move them around right it fixes it 90%

(My indoor range requires eye and ear pro, I use Oakly M-Frames)

Another minor problem that is inherent in all over the ear protection is that it can sometimes be annoying trying to get good stock-weld.

(Just a minor problem for all ear pro in this category, but it goes away as you learn to shoot more with them.

(If you are looking for something in the ear try the Peltor Skull screws, even though screws in your ears doesn't sound fun they are the best in the ear foam plugs I've used (and I've used a lot)

I would recommend this product, especially if you will be wearing them for over an hour (Foam gets uncomfortable for me regardless of style after an hour or so) - Hearing Protector - Earmuffs - Peltor Earmuffs - Ear Protection'

Canon Ink Cartridges - canon ink, canon pixma ink

My package arrived this morning. After reading the other reviews, I was a little reluctant to even order this product, but thought I'd give it a try. "For the price", I thought, "if it works -- great. If not, I'll send it back". Those Cannon name brand cartridges that were once so reasonably priced when I purchased my PIXMA printer several years ago, have gone sky high! I dont know about you, but I dont have that kind of money to throw away, so when I saw these units at 15 for the price of ONE Cannon cartridge, it was worth the risk.

Taking note of the previous reviews, I used a little common sense and handled the ink cartridges carefully by the ENDS (not the sides where you can squeeze the ink out) and carefully placed them into my printer. I closed it up, and printed out a black and white PDF file. Fantastic! Clear and nice with no spills or droplets. Then I printed out a full color web page and once again, I had exceptional results! I never even got a drop of ink on my fingers. Therefore, I can tell you with confidence that this product works just fine, if you use some common sense and handle the cartridges properly. Canon PGI-5BK CLI-8 15-Pack Compatible Ink Cartridges w/ Chip for Pixma MP500 MP530 MP600 MP800 iP4200 iP4300 iP4500 iP5200 iP5200

I received a box of these just to find out that you do not get what is advertised. I did receive 3 complete sets of printer ink in boxes that say ISO 9001 but, they were from three different manufacturers. I had to throw away 2 of the Cyans as they simply did not work, this left me with one good cyan. The Black and Magenta work fine but, to get the yellow to work properly you must leave all the labeling on the cartridge. Also, I still have on glaring issue with all of the cartridges, they leak ink. As soon as you twist off the plastic tab ink will spill out all over your hands, clothes, desk, floor, and they have the potential to ruin your printer. And I mean leak as in unless you open these over a large bowl or in a sink you WILL get ink on you.

Do not buy.

This the best deal on ink I have ever seen. Having a family of 6, we are very active and busy so we take lots of pictures. This ink prints out quality photos and is very budget friendly. The shipping was also very prompt. Thanks, we'll be back!

I am pleased to have found ink that is compatible with my Pixma MP500 Canon printer. However, I have two concerns:

1. The ink gives off a strong smell when printing.

2. Some of the cartridges were leaking upon opening. I hope they don't ruin my printer.

I will look around for other deals, but I would purchase these again if I don't find something affordable.

So far I have only tried 2 magenta cartridges. 1 did not work, the second worked just fine. Both Amazon and the seller (Sophia Global) were fast to fix the problem. As others have mentioned, if you squeeze the cartridge a little on the sides some ink will come out, if you hold it by the sturdier parts on the top it should be just fine. I would not hesitate to buy these cartridges again.

I have had Canon printers for over three years, and was torn between paying outrageous prices for Canon cartridges or wresting with after market types with no chip. I was not sure what was worse, trying to get the after market ones to recognize the chip I had to manually take out of the Canon cartridges and hope that it would work, or paying way too much for the Canon cartridges.

I had my doubts about these cartridges, but am very happy to say that I have so far used two of them with out absolutely any problem. I'm thrilled to have found this product and will most certainly be a return customer.

This is the the first time I have ever written a product review, but I am really convinced about these cartridges. Thanks for offering an excellent product at a very affordable price!

I won't lie, I was a bit skeptical about buying off-brand ink, as I'd only ever bought Canon inks for my MP800 since I've owned it. But I have to say, I'd been getting tired of paying $15 a cartridge per tank (and more for the pigment black tank), so I came to Amazon to hunt for ink bargains.

Lo, and behold, I stumbled upon this and am I glad I did! I was sure to read the reviews, and since it was a highly rated product by most people, I decided to give it a go. My order arrived within a week, and I immediately loaded up my printer with the cartridges it needed. Like other reviewers, I did not have trouble opening the cartridges...seems some people haven't learned the right way to hold these so they don't leak all over you! (hold it by the front and back, don't squeeze the sides--I learned the hard way)

They snapped right in, and printed beautifully. I only print documents, not pictures, so I don't go through a ton of ink, but now that I know I can buy so many tanks for less than the cost of a pigment black tank, I might just have to start printing pictures here at home. Thanks, Amazon!

No problem replacing OEM cartridges with these compatibles. Standard print on plain paper is fine, but streaks when printing on glossy photo paper. High quality printing on matte finish photo paper produces decent results. I don't recommend this ink for printing on glossy photo stock, but otherwise this is a good replacement cartridge.

Good customer service and prompt shipping from the seller.

I figured I'd give these a try since I don't do much printing anymore and couldn't spend the extra on the name brand ones. Here it goes. When I received the package only one of the carts were leaking. No big deal I cleaned it up and put the cap back on. As far as printing normal things like documents on regular paper you can't go wrong. Photo Printing: I did print out 15 different pictures just to see what these could handle. The color is not as crisp as a canon cartridge would be so I would recommend staying away from these if your mainly doing photos. - Canon Printer Ink - Inkjet Printer Ink - Canon Ink - Canon Pixma Ink'

Motion Sensor Outlet

A solid product as long as there is a significant load on the plug. If you do not have a decent amount of current being drawn, the unit will not turn off. I tried to hook this up to a Drinkwell Pet fountain that is basically a low current pump. The unit turns on, but will not turn off. After reading the "fine print" in the literature included with the device, found the minimal load requirement. SensorPlug Motion Sensor Outlet Plug

I purchased two of these units and neither works. I have a 16" floor fan plugged into the unit so it would turn on when I walked in the room and circulate air while in the room (had the timer set on max time). Both units seem to time out OK, but only cut off approx 10% of the time. While in another room, I often hear the fan cut off when the unit timed out, but it would immediately start back up. I'm guessing 10% of the time, it would actually stay off when it timed out.

I would also liked to have had more range on the sensor, but that's a toss-up depending on your intended application-if you want it to turn on only when relatively close, fine-if you want it to sense motion at longer distances (my application), it was a bit lacking.

Sent an e-mail to the manufacturer with no reply-was going to return for replacement, but I've since found a similar unit at my local Harbor Freight that seems to work, so I'm sending 'em back to the maker for a refund (per their warranty).

The unit I'm replacing these with has more range and a switch on the side to select 5, 10, or 30 minutes. I like the definitive time settings on my replacements rather than the variable dial timer on these units.

PROS

Not much to recommend, since neither of mine worked correctly

CONS

Would like a longer sensing range (possibly adjustable)

Temperature operating range is way to narrow!

Variable timer located on back of unit-have to unplug to change settings

Timer not marked-timer setting is guesswork (not that bad a problem)

I have this connected to two halogen lights in my apartment and I like not having to worry about wasting energy when I leave a light on in one room but end up spending too much time in another.

It has some issues, though. I quickly learned that this is a motion detector and not a "presence" detector, so if you need your light to stay on, the plug must be able to see your constant movements. Sitting at the computer, the light would turn off, so I had to move the plug under my desk in order for the sensor to see my feet move. Before, it was too far from me to see my smaller arm movements, but moving to closer solved it.

If you plan to use it attached to a reading light, forget it. You'll stay motionless longer than the sensor will keep the light lit.

When the weather turns cold and you come in from outside, there's a good chance the sensor won't see you. Just take off your jacket and, ta-dah, light!

This is not appropriate for every situation, but if you find you could benefit from it, you'll be glad you bought it.

First of all, I'd like to say how pleasurable it is to shop online here at here at Amazon.com. The whole buying and shipping process is always a breeze and I hardly shop anywhere else online now.

I moved to a new-to-me house in November and stepping into the garage was like falling into a black hole ... had to fumble around for a not very well located light switch and wait for the fluorescent lights to flicker on. The situation was inconvenient and possibly unsafe when in a hurry.

Enter the "SensorPlug Motion Sensor Outlet Plug". Wow ... what a difference. It is located where opening the door from the kitchen triggers the sensor immediately and turns on the lamp plugged into it "quick as a flash", so to speak. I couldn't be happier.

I have it set to operate all the time as the garage is always dark enough to need a light. It can be set to keep the power on for 2-6 minutes after the last movement ... I find two minutes more than adequate and saves a little electricity.

The directions say it may not work correctly below 40-50*F ... my garage has been down to 35*F (outside temp 24*F) and the sensor still worked fine.

I am very happy with this product. Recommended.'
