Expandable Waist - pants

For many years Haggar have been among my favorite casual slacks just because they fit well and lasted a sufficient amount of time. Then the markets appeared to change and I did not need slacks much more anymore. I saw these and made one of those purchases we all are told not to do. If it were for a few dead myleum cells I could remember the name of what it is that I should not do but alas... Regardless they fit perfectly, look good by hiding a lot of damage brought about by old age and do not wrinkle at all. When they arrived in the Amazon plastic inside the box I planned to take them to the cleaners for a press and wash but no they unfolded and with a few hours on a hangar they were ready to wear. Now that's the way it should be. Because they are not blue jeans they fit and feel better than jeans. Just the old man in me.

Bottom Line: Great casual slacks for those less than formal times and well worth the consideration. Haggar Men's Work To Weekend Flat Front Expandable Waist Trouser Denim,Light Stonewash,42x29

Sizing can be a problem. It seems the country of origin (where the product was actually maunfactured) effects the sizing. I have purchased the same item (sizewise) each manufactured in a different country and one is a good fit and the other is on the smaller side and probably will not be worn.

After only 4 washings of the stonewash colored pants , long loose threads appeared on one cuff. Trimming the loose threads still left exposed white threads (similar to blue jeans after 50 to 60 washings). It appears that this was caused by poor workmanship in the stitching (the navy-colored pants have not experienced this workmanship problem yet).

I've been wearing these Haggar slacks for many years. They have never been perfect. They always frayed at the cuffs and wore through in the same place in the seat (not where my wallet is in case you're wondering.) Typically a pair lasted a few months before I had to replace it. I was okay with that because I liked the way they looked and fit and I continued to buy them, but no more. Recently Haggar seems to have changed manufacturers. The material is much heavier which helps the wear problems, but won't hold a crease at all, hence why I say they're now for the weekend, no longer sharp enough to wear to work. Yes, I could send them out for starching, but I never had to do that before. They were wash and wear as they are supposed to be. In the change of manufacturers, they also are using a zipper with a smaller tab which is hard to grab. All in all they were nice while they lasted, but if you're looking for pants for work, look elsewhere.

I absolutely love these slacks! I only have to press them slightly after washing and drying and the fabric looks great throughout the day. I am a female professional and have always had a hard time finding slacks in the ladies section of any store without paying a fortune for them and they never fit me perfectly without alterations. I have no hips and a flat bottom so I got this idea to try on these pants in the mens department. What a find! I can't beat the price and the fit! I love the expandable waist for comfort. The waist design hides the expandable part. I get the flat front pants as the pleated fronts pooch out too much - something no woman needs in the stomach area!! I've told more women my secret about these slacks and they all say they would have never guessed they were men's pants and have remarked on how great they look. The Work to Weekend Haggar slacks look great with a blouse, sweater or blazer. Try them, you'll love them too.

I was hesitant about buying the pants because of never wearing this brand before,

But after receiving them and trying them on,I will get them again in the future.

Very well made and fit very well.I recommend them to any body who needs them.

I got a pair of these to wear in a play where I played the part of a police officer. They're reasonably priced, well-made, and very comfortable thanks to the expansion panels in the waist. The color was a good match for the uniform shirt I wore. I've since worn the pants to church and other places, and they are holding up well. I'd definitely recommend them; they can look dressy or casual depending on what else they're worn with. - Pants'

Surge Protection - outlet, power strip

Worked out very well to add extra power outlets under a kitchen counter. Only downcheck is the wall plug which forces you to have 3-4" space for it and the power cord when you plug it into an outlet. A flat plug that would only stick out an inch or less would be better. Fellowes 6-Outlet Strip (15 feet)

Satisfied with construction quality & performance. I use these for the workplace rather than allowing people to use extension cords. Any connection point is a potential failure point so this helps reduce outages/problems/reports of issues with power to devices.

Due to the weight of the cord versus the lightness of the strip hard to get it to sit straight. Found a heavy 20 ft strip at the local hardware store for about 3 dollars put the one from amazon in drawer not using at this time.

I discovered while setting up a new home entertainment center in the living room that I needed more outlets, but at the same time I wanted to eliminate use of an extension cord I had been using with my previous power strip, which had only a 3 foot cord. This was the perfect outlet power strip for me as the cord was heavy duty and is 15 feet long, thus not requiring me to use an extension cord. It also has a lighted power on/off switch and I like that as it allows me to determine quickly if the strip has power or not. Only drawback, not to me but perhaps to others, is that the outlets are evenly spaced, which means this strip is not the best power strip if you have a lot of power adapters you need to plug in. This was not a problem for me however as I also have a short strip designed specifically for plugging in power adapters only and I just plugged that strip into one of the outlets provided on this strip. Very happy. Would buy again! I should add this strip is not a surge protector and does not provide surge or power protection.

This LONG surge protector is great...especially when you have a limited number of wall outlets to work with. No more setting up your desk in an awkward location just because that's where the outlet is! This thing is just like a normal power strip...only it has a 15ft cord.

In an office environment, this 15 foot power strip solved a shared office issue where the standard 6 foot powet strip cannot accomidate a new desk. The product works great this this is the 5th unit I have purchased - Power Strips - Outlet - Power Strip - Surge Protection'

While these batteries LOOK original, and they DO allow my phone to work, after having them in for a few months I am getting an 'invalid battery' message every few times I turn on my phone. The phone still works when this happens but I don't see bars on these occasions (ie how much energy is still on the battery). I have turned the phone off and on as well as removing the battery and putting it back in to get the bars to come back. It is rather annoying but it is too late to return them or to ask for a replacement and, as stated before, the phone does work all along so I just keep my fingers crossed I'm not doing any damage to it by using the battery. Motorola Original Equipment OEM Battery BR-50 For Motorola Razr V3 V3c V3i V3e V3t V3m Pebl U6 BR50 (Set of 2)

According to the description the batteries were just like the original batteries that came with my phone but they were a total waste of money. A charge may be good for a day where original batteries last several days of heavy use. The batteries also lacked the "M" (for Motorola) that is shown on the picture posted by the seller.

Corded Phone - caller id, 1-line corded phones

I selected this phone in order to provide caller ID in our kitchen. Our phone is mounted in a part of the kitchen that does NOT have a nearby electrical outlet that most of Caller ID phones require. This one operates on two AA batteries and is simple and easy to use. The only drawback is that when the phone is mounted on a wall surface there is a space of about 1/4 inch between the phone and the wall that is a bit unsightly when viewed from the side, but this is not a serious drawback. Panasonic KX-TSC11W Corded Phone with Caller ID (White)

This is a very reliable, easy to read phone (for all of you with aging eyes!)

My only problem is that is doesnt have a speaker - which of course is my fault for assuming and not checking. It has a very easy memory function, which I love. All around for the price, a great, reliable phone.

Took a few minutes to change the adapter on the back of the phone to use as a wall phone because the instructions weren't too clear. But other than that it works very well. I like the memory and way to access the missed calls. Because we have caller ID the name and number are there. A simple press of a button scrolls through the missed call list and the stored phone number list. Lift the receiver and the number is called. Even the fact that the phone doesn't fit flush against the wall has become an asset making it easier to read the screen. So we are quite happy with the phone.

Update: Three years later and no problem with the phone. I have noticed that the clear button really doesn't clear past calls. I think it just sets a pointer so the old calls are still actually stored. But who cares...not really a big problem.

I have always found Panasonic phones to be keepers. This one is no exception. Good solid audio, controls that make sense, durable, attractive. I bought a number of them on the Amazon "Warehouse Deals" program. They arrived promptly and had no flaws that I could find.

Corded phones have been disappearing from stores and online vendors.

For some buyers this unit lacks usual features ( no speakerphone or answering ) but has other essentials- caller ID and waiting , plus phone book. It is relatively small and most important- Panasonic quality.

For those who still prefer a corded phone ( as a backup to cell and/or cordless or as a primary unit) I would definitely recommend.

This review is based on the looks of the phone - not on its function. Most importantly, this phone is not "white" - it is dingy off-white, almost putty-colored, which will not blend in with other white items. Secondly when the phone is wall mounted it doesn't cover the standard wall plate and protrudes awkwardly from the wall and plate (I think another reviewer mentioned this too); the line cord is also visable and doesn't tuck behind the phone like other wall-mounted phones do. If you are looking for a corded Caller ID that doesn't need A/C power, only consider this phone if you don't care about the color and about the wall-mount system. I'm sure that the sound quality is up to Pansonic standards but it is a very unattractive phone.

This is a good reasonably priced phone. I have a hearing impediment and wondered if the volume setting would be enough for me to clearly understand conversations. I was happy to find that I can use this phone without any problems. Only thing I would have liked was a backlit display window. Setting the LCD contrast to the highest position still isn't enough to make out the display without having it under a light.

I bought this phone as a wall phone to be hung on a wall in the kitchen. I needed a corded phone because I had no electrical outlet for a cordless phone. Unfortunately, when you hang up the phone in its cradle, the slightest touch or motion will make it fall from its hanging position. This phone was made to be placed on a horizontal surface as the plastic lip to hold it in place when you hang up the phone vertically, was poorly constructed and does not hold. It was a poor choice for that reason.

This phone suits almost exactly what I was looking for. It is for the bedroom, a hardly used phone. I have caller id and was looking for a corded phone with caller id and this is perfect. The only thing it doesn't have which I wish it did, the dials or called id screen do not light up at night. I've got to turn on the light to see who is calling. Other than that, this is a great phone; good quality for the price! I'm pleased! - Good Quality - Corded Speakerphone - Caller Id - 1-line Corded Phones'

Professional Line - waffle iron, best waffle maker

I have had this waffle maker for a little over a year so it is now out of warranty. It just stopped heating up last weekend. After some online research I found out what goes wrong. When I plug mine in the orange light turns on and you can hear the relay click but it does not get hot. If you are experiencing this problem and you are out of warranty please don't throw out your waffle maker. It can be fixed and the part is only $1.50. The part you need is a thermal fuse and it can be found under the round stainless cover of the lower griddle. It is a 250v 240 degree celsius thermal fuse. It is covered by a white silicon tube. Apparently this thermal fuse overheats and blows and power no longer gets to the burners. I have replaced the fuse and my waffle maker works again. This is a really great product but they either have the wrong size fuse in the unit or it was defective. Mine blew when I made a batch of waffles, turned off the unit and then turned it back on to make a second batch. It never heated back up. I kept my temperature control at 3.5. I hope this helps all you waffltiers out there. Also, the golden waffle mix is the best and you need to buy an isi brand whip cream dispenser. You add two pints of heavy whipping cream and three table spoons of powdered sugar and have the best whip cream for those tasty waffles. If you have questions leave me a comment and I will check back.

We used our waffle maker exactly 4 times. On the 5th time it simply didn't heat up. The base got hot but not the irons. Unfortunately we didn't register the product and lost the necessary paperwork. For being so pricey this product should have lasted years not 1 month!

After reading more about this waffle maker it appears there are other design flaws. Such as the irons will eventually break away from the base. This particular item I speak of was used once a week for only 3 years.

I would not suggest this product to anyone.

I wish I'd read some of the reviews here before purchasing this item at a store near where I live. We have had this waffle maker for about three weeks. The waffles it makes (or made I should say) were good, but then today, the unit would not heat up. The lights go on, but the waffle maker does not get warm. I'll be returning it to the store where I purchased it. I'm very disappointed in the quality of this item, and it seems that my experiences are not unusual. It's too bad.

This waffle iron works great 5 or 6 times, then it shorts out and quits heating. This is a major flaw in the design. I can safely say that because the same thing happened to me not once, but twice! This is the first appliance I have ever owned that I've needed to use the manufactuer's warranty. I'm now on my 3rd waffle iron in a year, and unfortunately, will no longer be able to get a new waffle iron under warranty. When this one quits heating, I will definitely buy a different waffle maker. You should too!

My family got into making whole wheat waffles years ago. We went through two or three $30 Bakers before we stumbled upon the Waring Pro. I read some reviews online before purchasing it and found a review comparing it to the Kitchen Aid. The reviewer favored the Waring Pro and seemed to have legitimate reasons. We bought the Waring and have never looked back. We made loaded whole grain waffles almost everyday for weeks on end until we would burn out for a little while and start on the kick again. The Waring never once failed. The design is so straightforward and easy to use. It does clean easy as well. I eventually perfected my waffle batter so that I did not need to use any oil at all on the non-stick plates and had no trouble popping my waffles right off when they were complete. This waffle maker did remarkably well with buckwheat batters too (the stickiest stuff in the world). The adjustable heat setting and timer with light are great for multi-taskers. About the only inevitable flaw is if you overfill the plates, you'll get batter oozing out when you close it. For the price, it stands head and shoulders above it's competitors. - Best Waffle Maker - Waffle Iron - Waffle - Waffle Maker - Professional Line - Waffle Irons'

Black And Decker - lawn, black and decker

I bought this trimmer to replace a larger cordless Black and Decker that finally gave out after several years of use - perhaps I didn't keep the battery charged correctly?

This trimmer is definitely not as powerful. However, it does cut through the grass along the edges and wooden fence. And it is MUCH lighter and easier to handle. The battery lasts through a typical usage - 20 minutes or so. I really like that the line keeps advancing on its own. Earthwise CST00012 18-Volt 12-Inch Cordless String Trimmer

This is a very lightweight weedeater, which has an extendable shaft. Both of these things make it easier on the back than my last weedeater, a Black and Decker. The detachable battery is also good, as when the battery is no longer effective, as is inevitable, it can be replaced, unlike my Black and Decker. The charge last 20-30 minutes, also better than the B&D, and it cuts grass faster.

By some quirk, the screws needed to attach the safety guard were not shipped, so I tried it out without the guard attached, and I like it much better that way. You DO need to be MORE CAREFUL if you don't attach the guard, as more debris is shot out farther. But, if you keep kids and animals away, wear long sleeves, long pants, shoes that cover your whole foot (no sandals) and eye protection (I use an old pair of big-lensed glasses), you should be fine (not to mention, if you don't have rocks and twigs in your yard, as I do, you won't have this problem. You're not going to be hurt by the flying grass).

The upside to the guard being off is that you don't run through the string as quickly (since it's not being cut off every time it hits the guard, and you can cut a wider swath of grass.

The spool that holds the string doesn't hold as much as the B&D, but since I tend to buy a large spool of the stuff to wind onto the old spool rather than buying the replacement spools, it doesn't bother me.

I've read reviews on all kinds of weedeaters where people were disatisfied with the way the string automatically "dispensed" from the spool (on the no tapping models, like this one), and while I understand their frustration, no string weedeater of either kind is going to be perfect. You will always have to do some tweaking from time to time. Just expect it, and you'll be a lot happier.

We used to have a 12 Volt trimmer that we thought worked good. The battery did not last very long. Now this 18 Volt has the snort we had hoped for. It has better power and lasts longer. We were very pleased with the people AT Amozon.com where we purchased this trimmer from. We had straight forward information and all the information was correct. The shipping was ahead of time, which I was impressed. This trimmer is a joy to use. Thank You

Pros: Nice looking. Light weight. Easy to put spool in. Keeps charge well. Good for environment?

Cons: Nylon line breaks down fast. Throws material (grass, rocks, dead bugs) into my face and onto my legs. Doesn't edge very well.

This item is great looking. Good for environment and holds its charge well. I can get my whole yard done on one charge. It is light weight and easy to manuever.

That being said: I have gone through the nylon line very quickly. It also throws material (grass trimmings, rocks, and dead bugs) onto me while edging. I don't think it edges very well.

I have quit using it. I am looking for another edger now.

Trimmer is very lightweight and easy to use. It is adjustable is several areas and even an elderly person or someone with limited arm and hand strength should have no problem using it. It is too weak to cut heavy growth and even lawn grass will bog it down if you try to cut too much. So if you keep in mind it is a LIGHTWEIGHT machine and not for heavy use, it's fine for trimming a lawn. Run time on the battery seems ok and the lighter weight keeps it from tiring the user out. If you need to cut heavy stuff, you should buy a gas powered unit, but used as intended the Earthwise is OK. Very admirable lack of excessive packaging was appreciated.

I needed a trimmer to do light-duty trimming each time I mowed my lawn. This one works just fine and the charge lasts long enough to do the trick. It's not good for sustained heavy-duty trimming, but is great for spontaneous quick trims. It's light and comfortable to use. That I don't have to unwind and rewind 100 feet of extension cord every week or for spur-of-the-moment trimming makes it a great tool.

This product is a good product for very light duty. I found that the semi-auto feed line was a little difficult to operate whereas I had to manually pull string out several times. The battery power was short, about 20 mins. This is great product for very light yard work, not good as an edger. Be sure to keep your yard maintained because this unit will not do a good job if the weeds are high.

Works great, lightweight and battery holds up really well once fully charged; but it takes specific battery only made for this trimmer but for the price its great. Battery was still fully charged after an hour of operation. I am a senior 60+ and its easy on the old body for trimming in delicate areas of my rural property. Its not a commercial trimmer for heavy brush cutting.

This cordless trimmer works well on my Texas lawn. It does not have the power of an electric or gas, but it works well enough that I use it all the time. I also have the earthwise blower so that I can use the batteries on either machine. The only complaint I have on the trimmer is that the spool does not hold much line, so that you need to keep an eye on how much is left each time you use it. Overall, it works fine for me and I am happy with the trimmer. - Black And Decker - Weed Wacker - Lawn - Recommend'

Baby Shower Gift - baby shower gift, baby bath

We started with a duck towel, which my 3-year-old son loved. Then, I got this deer one. When he gets out of the water, he is usually upset that he is cold. This distracts him somewhat, from that. And he's so darn cute! He doesn't want to get dressed. Pickles Nummy Animals 100-Percent Cotton Hooded Towel, Bear, 27X54"

i'm an 18 year old girl and i bought this because i just love cute/weird things. this towel is super cute. i put it on after getting out of the pool. i think it's adorable. it's also nice to wrap up in after a bath. it's about the size of a regular towel length wise and a bit wider than a normal towel, and then the hood is in the middle . very cute. it also has little paws in the corner that you can put your hands in (mine are a little bit to fit all the way in, haha) and it has little feet and a tail on the back. i love this towel. so worth the money.

Pricey, but so cute I had to buy it. This is soft and clever, and just what a "pirate grandmom" wants for her grandchild. It turns your wet-from-the-bath baby into such a cute buccaneer. There are certainly less expensive baby bath towels out there if you just want practicality. - Baby Bath - Baby Shower Gift'

Commuter - commuter, otterbox

You can see my other reviews to know that I buy A LOT of cases - it has became an addiction of sorts. With that said, I have often found Otterbox products to be the best of the best. (See my 5 star Otterbox iPhone 4 Defender review for proof!)

I received this item last Monday and I was anxiously awaiting installing it and giving it a go. Unfortunately my excitement quickly subsided. I hate to sound negative but this case leaves a lot to be desired. Below I will give you my unbiased thoughts on the case and its pros/cons.

Pros:

Much thinner than the Defender case

All ports are easily accessible

Lightweight

Cons:

The screen protector that it comes with is very sub-par, I've purchased several screen protectors in the past for both my iPhone(s) and other models, the one that came with the Otterbox ranks near (or at) the bottom of the list as far as quality build and ease of installation in avoiding air bubbles etc.

The case doesn't quite fit "right" sometimes the silicon case will come loose from around the lip of the phone and it will in turn cause the polycarbonate shell to shift and not only fit awkward but look horrible as well.

The cover for the audio out jack (headphone jack etc.) should have been designed better. It often protrudes from the case and just looks awkward.

In conclusion I would state that though the case isn't the worse (and 2 stars may be harsh) due to the price and quality expected from Otterbox it came up well short of expectations.

I will try to post pictures later showing this case next to a bare iPhone 4 and also next to the Defender case. OtterBox Commuter Series Hybrid Case for AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 (Green/White)

Hi, I just got this case yesterday. It's the third one I've tried with my iPhone 4. Otterbox makes fine cases so I expected something nice and was not disappointed. I also had the Commuter and Defender cases for my iPhone 3Gs.

Here are some notes for you:

- The case provides the best protection of the three I've tried. The Apple bumper case is nice but the open back leaves a lot of glass exposed. This one gets the job done while not being too bulky.

- Compared to the iPhone 3Gs Commuter case this one exposes more of the hard plastic surface and less of the rubber. The plastic is textured nicely so gripping is still secure. In all fairness I think I do prefer the design of the 3G/3Gs version.

- The phone will connect (Yeah!) to my Magellan car mount and B&W speakers with this case. It would not connect with the thicker Apple bumper case. I'm also able to get other cables to connect to it that would not connect with the bumper case. The opening for the thirty pin connector is larger on the Otterbox case.

- Putting the screen protector on can be frustrating but I was mostly successful this time. Dust must be avoided at all cost while applying it. Hey Intel, can I use your clean room for a few minutes?

It's a good compromise between protection and bulk. If you had the 3G version you might be a little disappointed because the fit on this one doesn't seem quite as good.

Update (9/2/2010): The reviewer(s) that said the case can be uncomfortable on your ear while making calls was right. If you make a lot of calls this could be rather annoying. I'll post a picture or two of the offending sharp edge. I filed the edge on mine with my Leatherman to smooth it out. That helped a lot.

Regards,

John

This case exceeded my expectations i had after reading some of these peoples reviews. First of all, the fit is perfect. i dont know if maybe some of these people didnt put it on right (it takes a while to get it right) but mine fits snugly.second, It does not feel cheap. The plastic is not very thick but it doesnt need to be thick to protect, it is only there to hold the shape of the silicone. It is the perfect balance of protection and bulkiness.. I had a defender series for my 3gs and that thing felt like a brick.. this one feels just right, not to mention its a lot cheaper than the defender. If youre gonna be rock climbing or working at construction site, then theres no reson why you would want the defender over this case. The screen protector is pretty cool, i dont really see the point of it because the case sits in such way that your screen will not get scratched. i still put mine on and cant even tell its there.. I would highly recomend this case, and no i dont work for otterbox, im just a regular guy that really liked this product and i dont think the reviews on it are very accurate. Thanks!

Sadly, this is the first review I've written, because I've had such a bad experience with this case. I'm a big OtterBox fan, I had a Commuter on my previous 3GS, and a Defender for my old 3G which is now on my wife's S. Both of those cases are great and I don't have a negative thing to say about them.

I had such a good experience with the previous version of the Commuter, that I got one for my Iphone 4. Unlike other reviewers, I think the screen protector is great, the only reason I gave this case 2 stars instead of one. I've had several screen protectors in the past, and they've mostly been all the same. The OtterBox protector seems to be of higher quality, and its the first case I've gotten on with absolutely no bubbles. Also, while trying to get the bubbles out on other protectors, you end up scratching the protector with the credit card. OtterBox solved that issue by putting an extra layer on the protector, and once you have worked all the bubbles out, you peel off the outer layer, leaving a pristine screen protector. I honestly can't tell that it's even there. Unfortunately that's where the good stops.

The silicone on the Iphone 4 commuter seems cheap, and doesn't fit the phone as well as in previous versions. The corners and parts that aren't covered by the outer shell constantly move and don't hug the phone as tightly as on the last version.

The hard protective shell is a complete failure on my case. When you initially take it out of the case, you can tell that the plastic is of cheaper construction than previous models. It is significantly thinner than the last, which is nice from a size perspective, but it just feels cheap in your hands, like it is going to break at the slightest stress. Also, the worst thing about mine is that it just doesn't fit the phone. It is too big for the phone, leaving gaps around all 4 sides. On 2 sides, the gap is small enough as to be almost not noticeable, but on 2 it's very obvious, and its so far from the silicone that the whole case flexes in your hand. On my particular case, it's obvious that the protective shell was machined too large for the silicone. No matter how much massaging and fiddling you so with the case, it won't fit the phone properly. As I've said before, on my 3GS, once you snap the outer case on, it's bombproof.

I bought the case direct from OtterBox the day it became available, and Amazon's price is now significantly cheaper. Still, this case isn't worth the cheaper price.

-Update

Otterbox customer service replied, and are sending out a replacement case. Their customer service was very friendly. I'll write another update when the new case arrives.

-Update 2

Customer service promptly sent out a replacement case. The 2nd case definitely fits better, it fits the phone correctly, but there isn't the tight, solid feel of previous versions. As other reviews have noted, the outer case can be uncomfortable against your ear. There are better cases out there for less money, for example, the 'free' case I got through Apple. I got a Griffin Reveal Etch through the free case program, which doesn't offer as much protection, but the case feels solid and fits the phone much tighter than the Otterbox. I still think they make great products, but this one was a failure. At least they've dropped the price since I ordered mine. - Green - Otterbox - Commuter - Iphone 4'

Black Belt - black belt, carhartt

The intent of a belt is simple - it holds your trousers up. This one is wide enough to fill the space under the loops of both jeans and khakis. It is cut from a single piece of leather. Thus there is no stitching to fray or layers to separate. It is good looking and likely to serve its purpose for a long while - pleased. Carhartt Men's Anvil Belt,Black,34

This belt is almost exactly what I was needed, to replace an old and well worn "jeans" belt. Solid, one piece leather (not including the tongue loop), robust looking buckle. Two notes that weren't entirely clear in the online descriptions: The portion of the belt that wraps around the buckle is sewn to the rest of the belt, so you cannot substitute your own buckle unless you scheme another way to affix it. And though the buckle itself looks as though it would be heavy, it really isn't. Nonmagnetic, and as I've already worn a bit of the black coating off, I think its brass. The tongue is magnetic, thus steel. The colors in the photos are correct, sort of a reddish brown in the middle, darker toward the edges. I'd buy it again, nice belt, with the only ding being that one cannot change the buckle.

The Perfect belt!

The leather quality is of superior quality. No stitches one piece cutt to perfection. It's very thick and will fill the eyelits on whatever your wearing.

I highly recommend this product

This is a sharp looking, reliable, quality belt. The color graduations on the side of the belt are true to life, a nice brown to dark brown. Great for dungarees & work shorts. I've had this belt about 5 months now. The leather is not separating, the holes are not stretching. Excellent choice.

One of two products ever that I've returned after buying from Amazon is this belt. Now, everyone else seems to have had a pretty good experience with the belt, so it could be my particular item/lot, or even particular to my nose, but my belt came with this awful fish-like smell that stunk up my entire bedroom whilst I kept it in there. I moved it out to the living room to air it out, but after a week the fish-like smell persisted, so I returned the product. It looks like a nice belt, but man, the smell was unbearable. Buy at your own risk, I guess.

It used to be you could buy a belt for $20 and it would last you years. Lately, it had been starting to feel like $20-25 would last only 2-3 months with regular wear. I realized that I wasn't having the same problem with another, brown belt I own and wear regularly as well and realized that it was the belt itself - specifically, the trend in dress belts towards cheaply sewing two flimsy pieces of paper-thin leather together - that was at the heart of my problem.

It's not easy to find a single, solid leather belt that's not too rugged-looking to wear with everyday work attire. This one may still be borderline for some people. It's thick and the buckle is heavy, but not nearly as bad as some others. Ultimately, this belt is exactly what I wanted: a simple, plain and durable belt I can wear every day if I choose to. The only other thing that may be worth mentioning about this belt is that it is made up of enough leather that you'll sometimes catch the scent of it, much as you would with a leather jacket.

The buckle on this belt broke the first time I tried it on. I should have payed more attention to the negative reviews on this item. Don't risk your time and money on this belt; go with a different brand. The goal of this company is to make a buckle that lasts just slightly longer than the return period so you get caught with your pants down. - Black Belt - Carhartt'

Cheerleading - teen drama, teen

The third movie in the Bring It On franchise Bring It On All Or Nothing proves to be another entertaining teen cheerleading comedy. Hayden Panetteire stars as Britney. Britney is a rich popular head cheerleader who attends Pacific Vista High School when her life changes drastically. Her father's job situation changes and she and her family move to Crenshaw. The move means bye bye to her quarterback boyfriend and her beloved high school and her head cheerleading spot. Before she says goodbye to her old school once and for all Britney promises her old squad members that she will never cheer again.

Suddenly Britney finds herself a student at Crenshaw Heights High School. The fish out of water thing goes into full swing starting with Britney's first day. She quickly notices that she is the one of the only white girls at the whole school and before she can even enter the building she has a run in with Camille (Solange Knowles) and her friends. The allure of the cheering again soon draws Britney in when she catches the very different moves of the Crenshaw Heights Warriors. The only problem is that Camille, who often refers to her as "White Girl" or "Vanilla Latte," has quickly become her arch enemy. The two women put their differences aside for the sake of becoming a stronger cheerleading squad and Britney joins the team. Problems arise when Britney suggests some new dance moves and then her old cheerleading friends discover that Britney didn't keep her word and is cheering again. The squad has to pull things together quick when all of the local cheerleading teams are out to win a spot to perform at a Rihanna live performance. The situation becomes further complicated as Britney finds herself torn between her old school and her new school.

Bring It On All Or Nothing is decent teen comedy. The film does unnecessarily perpetuate some stereotypes between races. Camille curses quite often and has that stereotypical angry black woman chip on her shoulder for the entire film rarely if ever cracking a smile. One black male student named Tyson seems quite animalistic groping Britney's behind on several occasions. In another scene an Asian cheerleader from Pacific Vista announces that she has a black belt and she immediately poses in a martial arts stance.

The soundtrack to the movie is really good. Three Gwen Stefani songs can be heard between the film and the credits (What You Waiting For, Rich Girl, and Hollaback Girl). Other songs featured on the soundtrack include Weezer (Beverly Hills), and Rihanna's "S.O.S." Bring It On - All Or Nothing (Full Screen)

I am in my late twenties and I loved this movie! Our main character Brittany is the captain of the cheerleaders in a posh high school. She is popular, has the star boyfriend and tons of friends. One of her "best friend" and co-captain Winnie (Marcy Rylan) is jealous that she gets all the glory but tries to hide it. Anyway, Brittany's dad loses his job and all their money. They are forced to move to a less "well off" area and Brittany has to leave her school to her utter mortification. The cheerleaders make her promise she won't cheer for any other schools otherwise she would be known as a cheer "slut".

At her new school that is less "posh", she immediately gets off on the wrong foot with the captain of the cheerleaders Camille (Solange Knowles) and the two take an instant dislike to each other. She finds a friend in hottie Jesse (Gus Carr) who is a male cheerleader and part of the squad.

It's a typical plot with Brittany needing to join the team, struggle for power, misunderstandings, cheerleader competition with Brittany's former friends, etc. but it was done in a way that was cute and interesting!

I use to watch Hayden Panettiere (Brittany) on a soap. She was great but I wasn't sure how she would be in this movie. But let me tell you, she was fantastic! Solange was also good and the "evil" head-cheerleader (Winnie) of Brittany's former school was great too.

This is a feel good, fun, curl up on the sofa on a cold day with hot coco type movie to watch with your boyfriend/girlfriend or a group of friends. I loved the romance between Brittany and Jesse (Gus Carr)! He is HOT and they had GREAT chemistry together! I wish they showed more romance between them! And I hope to see Gus in more movies!

The music was cool, the dancing was pretty good and the actors did a great job of getting you into the movie!

Like I said before, this is a feel good movie, if you want to watch something Oscar worthy than this is not the film for you lol. Best Bring It On!

This movie is fun to watch and has great music throughout the movie! Although it's the 3rd Bring It On DVD it stands on it's own for an interesting storyline. The street dancing combined with cheering makes it more believable for the music video cheer competition. Also the acting is really good. The movie didn't produce a soundtrack but the music was excellent! Here is a list of the songs:

1. "What Ya Waiting For" by Gwen Stefani

2. "Bring It On" by Sean Van Der Wilt

3. "My Happy Ending" by Avril Lavigne

4. "Beverly Hills" by Weezer

5. "Let's Move" by The Transcenders

6. "Pon De Replay" by Rihanna

7. "SOS" by Rihanna

8. "Maryanne" by Jeffrey Foskett

9. "Over Again" by Fuse

10. "Pom Pom Funeral" by Tony DiMito

11. "Mickey" by Transcenders

15. "Come With It" by Danielle Savre

16. "Solo Star" by Solange

17. "Rich Girl" by Gwen Stefani with Eve

18. "Whole Again" by Play

19. "3rd Coast Anthem" by Mojoe

20. "Cheerleader" by Erica Williams & Marcus Hicks

Fine Point - fountain pens, vector

I received this pen as a gift. It is a wonderful writing instrument. It looks great and the ink flows very well over the page. I am using the converter that came with the pen to use the bottled ink so don't know how the Parker cartridges work.

Writing with a fountain pen is very different from writing with a ball point pen. This kit includes a little manual on how to write with one properly. Parker Urban Black Matte GT Medium Point Fountain Pen Kit - 1760841

Pros: Out of the box the pen looks great, nice silhouette black with gold accents. The instruction manual teaches you how to write, use the converted cartridge, and how to clean the pen in an easy to understand manner. The pen feels great to write with, though it feels a bit back-heavy if you write with the cap on the back. The size of marks is about the same as a Bic ballpoint pen, so not too big. Overall it feels great to hold, the finish is semi-rubbery and fingerprint proof.

Cons: The cap is push-on, not twist-on, my personal preference is twist, if you don't care this is not a real con. The converter cartridge feels cheap, and is "direct plunger" not twist action, meaning you have to physically pull up the plunger to draw ink into the pen, again just personal preference. Compared to higher models it does feel, and look, cheap on the inside, but you can't expect $100+ quality in a pen that basically costs $25. Sometimes when I've just refilled the cartridge, the ink will come out a bit grainy, but wrote fine after settling for a bit.

If you are looking for a good first fountain pen that will still feel ten times better than a "20 for 5$" pen at wal-mart go for it, this is a great starter. But if your looking to upgrade from almost anything, consider saving up some cash and going for an expensive model parker, montblanc.. ect.

First, I would like to point out that I am fairly new to fountain pens, so read this with that information in mind. But overall, this is a fantastic kit for everything a person would need to truly enjoy the use of a fountain pen.

Lets talk about the pen itself first. The pen almost has a metal-like quality feel to it, and it does have some weight to it for a pen. I like these qualities since it gives the pen an overall high-quality look and feel to it, especially with the gold accents around the pen. The nib is a medium nib, which writes the same as an average sized ball-point pen, maybe a bit larger. The pen writes very smooth compared to non-fountain pens, especially coming from a college student who has used just about every pen made. The pen glides over normal paper effortlessly when using the bottled ink, and there is no scratchy noise during writing. I have not used the cartridges, so I don't know how they write, but its nice that the kit includes them. The only complaints I have, and they are purely personal taste, is that the cap does not screw on and that placing the cap on the back of the pen makes it feel a little top-heavy and off-balanced.

The ink that comes in the kit is very nice. It has an extremely fast dry time, almost instantly, so there is no chance of smudging the writings (that is with common lined notebook paper too). It writes a very dark black at first, but ends up drying a little less darker than a deep black. The best part is that the kit comes with the converter so you can instantly use the ink out of the bottle.

All in all, this is a fantastic kit that I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice kit to start into fountain pens and would make a great gift. While it is not nearly as expensive as a Waterman or Mont Blanc, the pen is still a great low-cost pen that maintains a high-quality feel.

This was my first fountain pen (out of two, and the second one is garbage), so bear that in mind ;)

I think this pen provides a good first entry for adults into the world of fountain pens. The medium nib will help teach the user how a fountain pen should be written with while taking some abuse, and will introduce the user to the joys of fine writing. If you do give it too much abuse, you also don't have to worry about losing out on an expensive pen. And, for being a starter pen, it looks fairly good too ;)

The only real complaint I have with the package is the converter. The straight-piston style is a pain to use, and from other discussion on the converter I understand that I was fairly lucky to get 8 months out of it. For around 8-10USD you can pick up a twist/screw style converter that should last longer and will be easier to use. If you decide to get one, make sure to get one manufactured by Parker, as different pen companies use different standards (therefore won't fit). Of course this isn't an issue if you decide to use the cartridges instead.

The whole package is a nice set, but the pen itself isn't my favorite. It doesn't write as nicely as my Lamy Safari, but few pens do. I like the bottled ink, but the ink in the cartridges is way too light for my taste. The converter is nice and worked well. - Fountain Pen - Vector - Fountain Pens - Parker'

Sd Memory Card - sdhc, memory card

The card is good, and will ensure that the bottleneck for delays will be in the camera's circuitry, not in the write operation to the card post click.

However, read the description of this particular item carefully. What you get is a what they say here - a card in an anti-static envelope. The card that I got did not look new - the contacts had use marks on it. I am keeping it because I did not notice this detail in the description, because I got a great price, because I needed to use it right after getting it, and because it seems to work fine. But it isn't new - not that the description said anything about it being so. Sandisk 4 GB Extreme III SDHC Card (SDSDX3-4096, Static Pack)

I have personally tested several examples of this product against many other brands and models. In my D80 I find the JPEG write speed to be about 9.5 MB/second. It writes raw data at about 8.5 MB/second. Nothing else I have tried is close; not even the highly rated Lexar Professional Series 133X.

I have never experienced a failure of any kind with this product.

I like 'em.

I buy 'em.

I use 'em.

The SanDisk cards are great and this is a good price. The seller tacks on about $4.25 per card for shipping and handling even though it probably cost them less than $1 to ship two cards to me. But, even with that "hidden" charge it was still cheaper than I can purchase these locally.

I ordered two cards. They were each packaged in the standard plastic shell case for an SD card and then inside a static bag, but without retail packaging. They appear to be new and unused. (I suspect that these discount sellers obtain these by breaking up bundled product sets, like a digital camera kit which includes the camera, a battery, a charger, and a memory card, and selling the individual pieces for a discount price, but I don't really know for sure).

Note: These cards are available from several different sellers on Amazon, this review is for the seller BlueProton.

I have Canon 1Ds and 1D Mark II cameras. I shot in RAW format, so I get large image sizes that are stored on the cards. I've been very happy with Sandisk UltraII 2GB cards and wanted to get a little more space for longer trips. I purchased 4 of these cards and tested each card on 10-shot burst on both cameras. Each of the 4GB cards took twice as long to process the data as the Ultra II 2GB cards. I use the burst mode on these cameras for wildlife (the 1D is capable of 8.5 frames per second) and I need to be ready to shoot again within 10 seconds. The cards took more than 30 seconds to finally store all the images (about 85 megs of data). I don't know if I got bad cards or the larger space is naturally slower, but I'll sell these and stick with my 2GB cards.

I use this card with my new Canon SD790IS 10MP Digital Camera. I can get more than 900 photos on the highest settings. It records quickly, ready for me to take a second pic in a millisecond. I know technology advances, but this is way better than the 1GB SD card I used for my previous camera.

I now go out looking for ways to fill the card up with every trip!

Digital Media Source sent me a bad one and refuses to replace or refund it. After purchasing a new one from best buy the card amazed me. It writes very fast and have never had a "writting" message pop up during use. Be careful who you buy it from, you might end up wasting your money.

I use this card in my nikon D90. It's a HUGE improvement over the standard 10mb/s sandisk cards. Even though it's only 2x faster (20mb/s) it empties my D90's cache probably 3-4x faster.

When shooting RAW, I could get about .75FPS once the buffer filed up on the standard SD card. With the extreme III card, I get about 2FPS once the buffer fills up. What a huge and needed improvement!

I love the SanDisk Ultra II and Extreme III series of media, however, if you've been using older generation memory card readers then you should know that these newer SD-HC format (secure digital high capacity) memory cards probably won't work in your older memory card reader. It is the "HC" format that causes the problem. I've only encountered this problem with SD cards starting at 4 GB and larger. The 2 GB and smaller cards aren't "HC" and thus still work fine in older card readers. Other media like compact flash, memory stick, etc. also still seem to work OK with older readers at all sizes.

A new card reader could set you back nearly thirty bucks so think carefully before buying SD-HC media. - Sd Card - Sd Memory Card - Memory Card - Sdhc'

Earbuds - jbuds, j3

I purchased the J2 earbuds before doing some serious flying beginning in mid-summer, and I was well pleased with the quality on them. My husband kept teasing me about the color--a lovely pink!--and it took some time to convince him to actually give them a listen. When he finally did, he was blown away, and caved on the idea of getting his own. Neither of us are huge audiophiles, but I'm a bit more picky about overall sound quality than he is. I still haven't found a set of iPhone speakers that I'm satisfied with after 2 years of searching.

I came to Amazon to purchase a set of J2's in white, and found that the J3 version had just been released. Reading up, I knew we needed to give these a try instead, and ordered the Titanium Silver for him.

As mentioned both in reviews and by JLab, you MUST allow these earbuds (and the J2 model) to burn in before you're going to get the fullest range of sound. Even so, my husband was utterly stunned the first time he used his new pair. He raved about them so much, I stole them for an hour to compare to my now well-used J2's, and I found improvements all the way around. Even with a fresh out of the box pair that had perhaps a few hours of burn in time, the trebles are incredibly clear, and the bass to my ear is both significantly deeper and clearer in tone. (I'm a bass girl, this was the most important thing for me.) The audible background "hiss" you can hear on older or poorer quality mp3s is even muted.

I bought a new Paparazzi Pink pair for myself that night, and my J2's have been relegated to emergency backup status. With the release of the J3, J2 models are at an exceptional price, but these are so superior that they're well worth the extra money.

Little things:

The new packaging is fabulous; I hope more companies start working with Amazon to switch over to this type of packing material.

The little case provided with the J3 model is a big plus. I have the larger case for travel and this one is way more convenient for daily use. It's small enough to slip into a shirt or jacket pocket.

Four sizes of silicone ear buds will make it much easier to fit for some. I did transfer over mine from the J2 as the material from those feels a bit thinner and I preferred the old color My husband found he was most comfortable using different sizes for each ear, so having the wider variety of sizes worked well for him. His only complaint is that even with the best fitting pair, occasionally he finds the fit to be almost too tight to the point of pressure-induced discomfort. Most of the time, it's not a problem. He did have ear issues as a child and I suspect this may be a factor, as I have had no trouble at all with either model.

For reference, both pair are being used with 1st gen iPhones for music and audiobooks. I use the EQ settings for the iPod function, he makes no adjustments.

Overall, one of the best products I've bought in any category this year! JBuds J3 Micro Atomic In-Ear Earphones with Travel Case (Jet Black)

In an earlier review, I mentioned that these high-quality JBuds J3s were too treble-heavy for my tastes, which too much sound in the upper register instead of a balanced sound. Of course, sound is subjective and many may find these $30 J3s worth the money.

I posted this review on Amazon and my blog and got an email from JLab Audio telling me that they were "surprised" by my criticism, that my critique contradicted focus groups and their "overwhelming conclusions." The email also implored me to consider removing my review until I made a more thorough evaluation.

JLab Audio makes similar requests to Amazon reviewers who give their product less than sterling praise. Clearly, JLab cares about their customer feedback and wants evaluations to be both thorough and they also make it clear that the earbuds should go through a breaking-in process, playing the buds through the earphone jack for 24 hours straight.

I want to be fair so I deleted my Amazon review and want to give my evaluation as a "second look," having allowed my J3s to go through the breaking-in process. I am comparing my $30 J3s to the $14 J2s, listening to them through a C.Crane CCR-2, a Sangean WR-2, and an iPod.

For me, the J2s, while not offering the same brightness and dynamic volume as the J3s, are for me the better deal. Simply put, I just find too much treble in the J3s at the expense of other sound range resulting in a less than balanced listening experience. On my CCR-2 radio, I turned the treble all the way down to mitigate the J3's upper end effect. On the Sangean WR-2, the high-end was also too much for me. Same story with the iPod. Now I expect many will be happy with the bright sound in the upper register. It's just too much for me. JLab makes a good product. I bought their original JBuds and still use them as my travel buds and I love them as they're very comfortable. The J2s offer better fidelity than the originals. I use them for my bedside radio. The J3s for me offer too much treble but definitely bring a brightness that many will enjoy.

Update: JBuds contacted me and offered me to exchange my J3s for two pair of J2s. Kudos to JBuds for accommodating my preference for the J2s. - Headphones - Jbuds - J3 - Earphones'
