Works - works

I was frantic and nearly hysterical when I returned to the states from Tanzania and realized that I had left my US adaptor for my Palm Pilot in Tanzania. All my contacts, all my dates and calendars sat in a state of half battery life. I first went to my trusty Office Depot, and then to travel companies--no African (or British) to US adaptors. I scoured the Amazon spaces for a power adaptor that reversed to US, and finally found this one, the wonpro WA-5 Universal Power Adaptor Converting UK, EU and believe it or not Tanzania, to US. Euphoria! If I had gotten the more frequent notice that I have been receiving from Amazon lately--"We apologize but this product is no longer available. You will not be billed for this item", I would have hung myself from a tree. Instead, Eurika, I now have a charged Palm Pilot at all times and I am free again. It works great! Contemporary Fiction - suspense thriller, action

Look, the story is a period classic. Make necessary allowances for time and place and for allusions now deemed politically incorrect and it's still the great mystery adventure story it always was. But the real mystery in this particular edition is why the typist didn't take his/her mittens off. An adventure in typographical errors. The Thirty-Nine Steps (Enhanced Kindle Edition)

This is one of those books that I put off reading for too long. I had several recommendations to read this book. When I finally did read it I realized that I should have read it sooner. It is a fast paced adventure full of surprises. This is an excellent book and I recommend it. - Suspense - Suspense Thriller - Paranormal Romance - Action'

Wendy Corsi Staub Novels - thriller, suspense

Sam Genetti, a bright, seemingly popular high school senior is counting her blessings. Raised by a single father, she is adept at dodging rules and curfews. She is also dating a popular boy named Wyatt and is also close friends with a motherless boy named Gus. Sam and Gus have bonded since they were in kindergarten. They were the only children in their class who were being raised by their fathers.Sam has a Halloween birthday and naturally all sorts of tricks targeted at her come out. Wyatt's former girlfriend and her snotty clique harass Sam; a mysterious woman breaks into Sam's home and leaves devastating messages for her. The same mysterious woman leaves anonymous notes in Sam's locker; one such message was a frightening secret about Sam.Who is this woman? And why is she targeting Sam? Who else is involved? A shocking conclusion at a Halloween/birthday party for Sam is an open closet door for many skeletons to come dancing out. Sam unmasks her tormentor and the skeletons can finally be buried once and for all.A masterfully written mystery that all ages will enjoy. Staub has a real gift for keeping her readers guessing. Each time one reads a Wendy Corsi Staub book, there's always that hope that Staub will keep on writing. Halloween Party

This is a sweet book and I love the warm atmosphere. Samantha lives with her father, who deeply loves and cares about her. Her best male friend, Gus, also cares about her. And her boyfriend Wyatt does, too.

Her birthday is on Halloween, which is just around the corner. Her friends are planning a Halloween/birthday party. Halloween is almost here and someone is pulling pranks on her: phone calls, notes, even a house break-in. Who is doing this to her? Is it her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend? And why are they doing it? Is it a harmless Halloween joke, or is it something to be worried about?

The plot/story line is very good and entertaining. All the pieces of the story fit together perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy. The horror part is thrilling and keeps you on your toes. The mystery part keeps you wondering. This book is so fun. The whole book is absolutely perfect.

This talented author is a winner. I would definitely recommend this book to both teens and adults - to anybody who wants an entertaining book.

I read this book at an early age and was amazed and scared. My first grade teacher is the mother of Wendy Corsi Staub and she once came to my elementary school which is where I was first introduced to her. She has a great ability to write and she has always kept me interested. This book had mystery and horror in one, it was great!! I know for a fact that her mother is proud and I also know for a fact that I will be a loyal fan.

I just finished this book the other night. I only read it because There was nothing else to read. It was hard to follow since it went back and forth with people. I didn't like the ending at all. The author could of made it more scary, or at least give it a better ending. - Thriller - Mystery - Suspense - Wendy Corsi Staub Novels'

Laptop Battery Chargers - charger, macbook

After charging my battery for a few hours (from 10% to 70% capacity) the charger was incredibly hot to the touch. It was so hot that a smell similar to wet paint filled the room and the white plastic surrounding the charger became warped and melted. I wish I had not been stubborn and had listened to the previous negative reviews. Even though it is a lot cheaper than the original Apple charger, which is also obviously a terrible product (susceptible to wire rot at the junctions) hence the need to buy a replacement, this product simply does not work. I am going to have to bite the bullet and get a genuine Apple charger since at least it works without running the risk of burning down your house. Very displeased with both Apple's genuine charger and this joke of a product. I would have given this product zero stars but it wouldn't let me give less than one. NEW Power AC Adapter/Charger for Apple MacBook 13.3inch MB063LL/B MA472LL/A MacBook 13"

As a utility, this AC charger certainly fulfills it's purpose: it charges my MacBook battery. With that said, it is definitely no product made by Apple and it shows in many ways. For one the AC adapter does not fit onto the existing Apple extension cord very well. It comes with it's own extension cord that connects awkwardly into the extension cord power port. This one is hard to explain.

The magsafe connector also has a few of it's own issues. It will only charge the computer with a certain side facing up. If I try it with the other side facing up the green LED blinks rapidly and won't charge. Strange, but not a deal breaker. Also, the green LED will often times stay on even when I have detached the cord from my computer.

Other than those two issues, the unit still fills my battery with juice and for that I am grateful. Now, if I can only keep my dog from chewing this one up as well...

This device caught on fire and sparked significantly. Even if it is very cheap and does charge a laptop, when this happened it caused my computer to immediately turn off and it wouldn't turn back on. It might be worth buying an authorized device in this case, or at least not this fire hazard.

THIS PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE. DO NOT BUY IT!!! It will mess up your battery!!!!

I noticed my less-than-1-year old macbook's battery life has been cut in half after using this charger (2-3 hours max, when it previously could go 4-5 hours without a charge)

I woke up and smelled something weird burning. I look around and saw that the charger's casing was warping because of the heat!! Had I continued to use this thing, i'm sure it would have killed my battery.

I raved about the price previously and how quickly I was able to receive it in the mail. But a few weeks later the casing started to melt and now it won't even power anymore. I was forced to go to Best Buy and purchase an authentic charger for $80 because I need to work on papers for school.

I should have read all the reviews thoroughly and just dished out the money from the beginning to pay for a trusted brand instead of a cheap defective generic.

I bought this as a second charger to have for my Macbook. It's very similar to the original Apple charger although it's a little bigger (it is not a rebranded item, it's not the same as the original Apple charger). It seems to charge my computer fine and works pretty well except for one issue... it gets ridiculously and untouchably hot. This is a concern regarding it eventually burning out and/or burning/melting something that might be adjacent to it.

Still, for the price, it's a great value over the original Apple charger.

I bought one of these chargers and imediately experienced problems.

the charge for my macbook was never constant, which forced me to

constantly twist and turn the wires on the charger. it eventually

broke due to all the times i had to bend it a certain way to hold a

charge. waste of 20 $

I have brought Apple charger from Amazon website of SibStore.com.

Charger has stopped working in two weeks.

I haven't even used it much. it's waste of money to buy it from sibstore.

These guys sell it cheap, but product are worse quality product, its complete waste of money.

I received the item and the cord with the plug that goes into the charger did not appear to be the one that was supposed to go with it, I thought so what , as long as it works. Here I am 5 months later and the darn think no longer works and the outtfit that sold it to me won't return my emails. I would like a refund (are you guys hearing me?) . I will continue to write bad reviews over and over until I hear back from you. You can contact me at wildsheepprofessor@gmail.com

I received this charger as my previous one broke. It came in good time which is great, but that just meant my computer would break sooner. It charged my computer overnight but today when I went to plug it into my computer sparks flew and it smelled like something was burning. I cannot believe that a product would be sold online that could be defective enough to cause so many problems. I quickly brought my computer into the Apple store where they told me they could try and replace a part for $50 but it may not work and the other option would be between $300 and $800. I am appalled that this product was even packaged and sent out. It is going to cost me an arm and a leg to fix my computer all because I trusted a third party seller. I strongly suggest that no one buy a product for their mac that isn't directly from an apple store. Although I have never before had a problem with anything I have bought from Amazon, this has taught me a valuable lesson. Contrary to the above, this product obviously warrants no stars. - Macbook - Charger - Power Adapter - Apple Charger'

Cold Weather Boots

I love these boots. They are so cute, so comfy and so warm. I took them to Europe with me and was able to walk for hours and hours in them. Even from the start. Didn't really have to break them in. I ordered my true size 9 1/2 and they were a perfect fit. I even ordered the exact same boot (though different color) in a 9 since I wasn't sure which one would fit and I ended up keeping both. The 9 was a little bit tight but after wearing them for a day, I didn't mind and they too were extremely comfortable. I also love that I can have the tongue pulled down when I tuck my jeans in the boot or if I want to put my jeans over them, I can fix the laces to make the tongue flat for a smooth line under them. Love love love these and would recommend to all! Teva Women's Kiru Boot Print Cold Weather Boot,Carafe,5 M US

I recently moved up north and have been looking for the perfect winter boots for a while now. Then I found these. I absolutely adore them. They have style, contour to the leg, and are adjustable for curvier calves. They ran a little large so I got a 7.5 instead of my normal 8 and they fit perfectly. They're cushy and warm and have pretty good tread for those snowydays. I was in heaven. Then one day I wore them in some icy rain... My first small puddle I felt some cold wet water in my toes. It's not like it was flooding, but it was noticeable. I was bummed. If that was just a small puddle I definitely wouldn't want to wear them out in serious rain. I would not suggest these for a particularly wet region. Other than that they're great incredibly warm and I've worn them for 12 hour stints without any discomfort. Hope this review helps!

I LOVE the boots! However I am sending the size 6.5 back and ordering a 7 (LOVE Amazon PRIME shipping). They are somewhat narrow and my toes come to the very end without socks. They are extremely warm and stylish. Flying to Montana Sunday for 10 days...so this Florida girl was in NEED of some warm boots...GLAD I found them.

(my foot is average, neither narrow or wide)

I was so looking forward to receiving these boots, they look fantastic, I ordered them in Beluga.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed when I opened the box to find one boot (compared to the other) so poorly made it wasn't even a match. The boot vertical length was a good 3cm shorter than the other boot and the trim around the zipper was roughly cut and not finished at all. I don't understand why this wasn't picked up by quality control as it is so obvious.

If I didn't live in Australia I would send them back but the return postage on top of what I have already paid does not make it worth it.

Now I will have to wear them under jeans to hide the shoddy workmanship instead of being able to show them off like they should be.

Very disappointed.

I love these boots. They are extremely comfortable, especially when worn without socks ;) I got a size 8 and they are a little too tight when wearing socks and pants. I would recommend an 8.5. So far they are waterproof, although I did use a waterproof spray on them that I bought for $5. I've gotten many compliments on them already. :) I do think the price is a little steep tho, but fashion, comfort and warmth all come with a price I guess.

Very stylish boots, comfortable as well. I had to go half size up than my usual 9.5 for Tevas shoes. My feet are very narrow so the 10 is more loose than I would like it, but... what can I do. I am sorry that they don't tend to make all the shoes in wide and narrow version as well to accommodate us, the weirdly built people... :-) In the calf area - loose for me, even though more fitted than many others I've tried. There is some possibility to play with the calf size trough the laces, but they work rather for expansion than accomplishing more snug fit.... Love those boots, though! I think I will keep them and will pray they will not loosen up - otherwise I will be in trouble!!! p.s. The Beluga color is a definite winner!

I bought these boots for a camping trip in Santa Cruz. Ok, so no snow, but the weather dropped below 20 degrees, and my feet stayed pretty toasty and dry. It rained a good deal of the time, and I was out tromping through the woods. The boots held up no problem. Mud washed right off, my feet stayed dry, and even better, the gripping soles on these shoes were awesome!

Now, I will admit that even cheap knockoff ugg boots did fine too, ($30) but didn't keep my toes dry. These boots look great with leggings and jeans, are soft and cozy, and can take all the bad weather thrown at them.

I agree that they were a little tight around the leg, until I adjusted the laces a little. Now they are perfect, and are awesome for all purposes.

I was never impressed with Teva before, those dumb sandals everyone wears with huge hiking socks are hideous AND make you feet smell. Even after wearing these boots for a week in the same thick wool socks, they smelled fine! (I did cheat and add a chunk of cedar in each shoe at night, but still)

Great boots, and for a good price. PS I got the beluga color, which is wonderful in person, very gray/green.

Cons: I had to order up 1/2 size because they didn't come in 10.5 (most boots don't), and I wasn't sure about the look of the "tongue" or the color. I needn't have worried. The shoe portion fits well, although the ankle area could be a little tighter, but it's not sloppy, just a little loose (as is the heel - doesn't slip exactly, just isn't firmly in place, but I have a very narrow heel, so this is better than most.) I like the leather - it has a subtly interesting look, and the tongue doesn't look strange when on your leg - it fits in with whatever you're wearing. The sides of the boot fit my leg exactly, which is really a plus - comfortably, not too tight, but as if it was made for me (at the widest point, my calf size is 1.5"). It comes up to the bottom of my knee, and doesn't rub against anything - the inside is smooth and comfy. It has a zipper the entire length of the boot, which makes it easy to put on (one boot has a very stiff zipper that I'm hoping will loosen up). They are also stylish. It's not cold enough to know how they will be in truly cold weather (it may snow tonight, but it's around freezing). The only Q in my mind is about the zipper....except for that they are really nice boots.'

Effective - effective, simple

I found this guide to be most helpful while drilling holes for kitchen cabinet pulls. My concern was that the holes be perpendicular to the door frames...this little guide worked like a charm....all 16 doors have perfectly placed pulls as a result. Rockler Drill Guide Kit

This product worked great. I used it to drill 90 deg holes through the 4x6 post from which swings hang for a swingset.

1. Strike center punch with hammer where you want the hole.

2. Drop platic guide over center punch.

3. Drop in metal guide that fits center punch.

4. Clamp down.

5. Remove center punch and drop in metal guide that fits drill bit.

6. Drill.

One downside was that there is no place for the wood shavings to go so you have to pull the drill and metal guide all the way out which was a little awkward, but not bad.

With the glut of over-priced fancy doweling-jigs on the market, this simple gadget is a breath of fresh air.

It is not a substitute for a drill press, but it does work for most portable-drilling applications. It's lightweight, cheap, small and it does what it's supposed to. Without a well-adjusted drill press, we'd be hard-pressed to make anything this accurate for this cost. It is a good deal.

I bought this drill guide because I dont want to invest in a drill press and really dont need one. I just need a guide to drill some reasonably straight holes in wood.

This tool does a fine job at its intended purpose. We are not looking for rocket science quality here....just a way to get a reasonably straight hole without having to use a small square and trying to plumb the bit two ways.....

Have not used it on a project yet but I have drilled a few holes with it playing around...and when marking both sides of a piece of lumber and then drilling from one side the drill bit came thru spot on at the opposite side.

On larger bits you need to make sure and hold it down tight...or just be carefull to keep firm pressure down on it.

This gadget is so easy to store and bring out for use that it actually gets used. I no longer tolerate slanted holes when I'm using a hand drill. I find the Drill Guide indispensable when a work piece or assembly is too large to fit on the drill press. I've not used it on metal, but applied to wood, it might make a drill press unnecessary except for the limited number of bit guide sizes and in high-precision work.

This little thing works just as it should. Very simple concept yet works wonderfully. This saved me a fortune on those crazy drill attachments that probably wouldn't have worked anyway. I'm looking forward to building a rock solid media cabinet to match the new TV that arrived the same day!

Having needed a jig like this for past projects, I went ahead and bought this from Rockler through Amazon (along with a couple of other Rockler products to save on shipping). I have since used it to make my wife's Christmas gift (last) which is a holder for all of her spools of thread. The specific use was in placing 116 3/16" steel pins in a board cut to the shape of a large spool of thread.

Overall, it worked for the purpose which was to get each pin as straight as possible. I did find some play in the jig so I had to be careful to use the play to my benefit (pin angled ever so slightly up) but it was certainly WAY better than if I had tried to do it by hand. For the price, I'd say it can't be beat. The plastic guide is also jut the thing for making holes in dowel rods or at the corner of piece of wood.

I gave the tool 4 stars only for the bit of play, but again I'd say it's certainly worth the money.

Great idea, and could easily have been made with tighter tolerances that would have solved the problem, but even the small amounts of give in the inserts and holding collar result in an inaccurate hole being drilled.

It *is* better than just winging it, or just trying to use something like the built-in led that might be on your drill, but don't expect it to be all that great. - Simple - Effective'

Lithium-ion - flashlight, lithium-ion

ive used makita products for about 12 years doing automotive audio and video installations... i have the 18v set for impact/ and driver drills with the larger flashlight which is awesome.. i tried this one because it is small enough to keep in my tool bag... overall it is a very directed light in a small beam, not impressed at all other than the fact that it will probably stay on for 24 hrs straight. i wouldnt recommend this, i would go with the fluorescent version or the larger 18v light. Makita LXLM01W 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless L.E.D. Flashlight

This is outdated LED technology which lights poorly considering such a large clumsy unit. I am in Central America and the light is used by my caretaker. My night guard has regular Makita BML 185 flashlight using the same batteries, not a very great flashlight either. I used to own a high end woodworking shop and have owned dozens of Makita tools, and still have many. I consider their product lines some of the very best but as far as flashlights goes, I'd go elsewhere.

The product works well. If you have this tool set you might as well buy this so you can do something with the batteries. I picked it up for about 15 bucks and it works good. Not going to replace the shop light, but its handy to have when needing mobile light.

This would be a bright LED light if the year was 2001. The light brightness is comparible to one I purchased at Home Depot for $5.99, and it came with batteries and was a handier size and shape.

It may last a long time, but who would care at this light output?

It was returned!

good light not as bright as i thought 25hr run time on bl1815 batt some light is better than none. would be neat to have diff modes like maybe 12.5hrs for twice the light. over all still happy with it.

I bought this thinking the LED would be brighter then my led maglight. Nope, even with the dozen or so individual lights it still doesn't even come close to mags 2 cell single led. I gave it four stars because it's still very useful, compact, and it lasts a VERY long time with the battery but they should have used better LEDs for a contractor grade tool like this.

It's definatly worth the twenty bucks, just don't expect a super bright light.

Nice little light,

though 3.5 stars would be more accurate

(if we had that option).

Price is pretty cheap, so I bought two.

Glad I did, since they don't throw a ton of light,

setting up one on each side of whatever project you are working on helps.

I retired my old incandescent Makita light (the last of 5, or 6 expensive little 18v bulbs finally burnt out),

and two of these make for about an even substitute.

Less light, in exchange for a much much longer run time,

and no fear of burning out the light bulb.

Other negatives are that these lights are completely non-adjustable (for beam width, nor for angle that the light comes out).

They also just sorta lay there flat, and are pretty impossible to point at anything, unless you set them up on something else.

In complete darkness,

setting one up a few feet away, to light up the general area,

and having a second one, very close to what you're working on worked best for me. - Flashlight - Lithium-ion'
