Ladies Razor - electric razor, womens

This works great! Disposables give me razor burn, but I like the close shave. I tried an epilator and that didn't work too well, it just broke off the hairs. I figured I would just give up and use an electric shaver and get a close enough shave, but this one exceeded my expectations. I also like that there's a nice compact place for it on my electrical outlet.

I tried both wet and dry functions and I think it works better dry. When I dried off, I could still feel hairs so I went over it again and the area became smooth. However, during dry shaving, if I go to fast my skin catches in the razor. There was no bleeding, but it wasn't comfortable.

Then only thing I don't like is that there's no cord attachment. That's probably for safety reasons, but I would like that option when the battery starts to lose it charge. Panasonic ES2207P Close Curves rechargeable Wet/Dry Ladies Shaver, Mauve

This is perfect because I don't like shavers that lift and cut off the hair below the skin. Basically you get a close shave enough to not see the hair but there is still hair there. To me that is wonderful because I use it on my face and I don't want my face hair to grow back darker and thicker that is why this shaver is really good.

I've tried on my legs and love it.

If you are one that wants a really really close shave, this would not be for you. If you are one that wants a good enough close shave, this is perfect.

This shaver has worked pretty well in the short time I have had it. It has retained a full charge very well, I have yet to recharge it since the first time (over 3 weeks ago) and I use it pretty often. Its is pretty simple to clean as well. My only complaint is that the area of the razor shaving area is a bit narrow compared to my previous razors.

I expected less than a razor shave, it is electric after all. But I find that when I let leg hair grow a week, it actually gives a slightly better shave than just after 1-2 days of stubble. It is very good at 1-2 days also, so if you need to shave often this is definitely good. And best of all, it's about 95% of razor smooth and no razor burn at all! I was completely shocked. I use it dry. It's fantastic. I may never shave with a razor again! :)

I recently found out that I am allergic to nickel in disposable razors. They were giving me hives. I wasn't sure what I could do until I found this razor. After using it I didn't break out in hives. It has been a life saver.

I purchased this razor because I am a woman of a certain age,and unfortunately,with the aging comes the facial hair.That's why I wanted an electric razor because disposable razors are too harsh to use on the face.

This razor shaves well,and closely and is gentle to the skin.It also works well on legs and underarms,too.I use it in the shower.

It charges quickly,keeps a charge,and is comfortable in my small hands.

I am satisfied with this product.

I have never in my life used anything but a blade razor on my legs and underarms, so this was a totally new experience. So far I'm liking it, although you do not get a shave nearly as close as with a blade. To get something even remotely akin to that, you have to go over the areas several times, and even then you can still feel the stubble. It does not matter that much to me, but if really smooth legs are important to you, stick with a blade, or waxing or something like that. As far as performance and ease of use and cleaning, it's super great. I keep it plugged in while I'm at work and it's always ready to use. I use it dry before I get in the shower. Then I can just tap the head to get the dry hair out and it's ready to go again. I do recommend it, but not for very smooth skin. It really can't do that.

The shaver is easy to hold and does a good job. The razor sits upright on the recharger, which must plug into a vertical outlet. All my bathroom outlets are horizontal so I have to find an outlet in another room to charge it. That's a bit of an annoyance to me. - Womens - Ladies Razor - Electric Razor - Wet Dry'

Dell Inspiron Adapter - dell inspiron, dell inspiron adapter

The Anker laptop charger works perfectly with our Inspiron 6400. After going through a few Dell branded replacements, we decided to go for something a little bit cheaper. The Anker brand charger from LaptopMate was really a no-brainer with a 1 year warranty as well as excellent return policy through LaptopMate. You can be sure that if the charger won't work with your laptop that LaptopMate will refund you for the item as well as the shipping!! Luckily the charger worked with our laptop but I knew that even if it didn't I would be able to get a full refund.

There are a few differences between this charger and the old Dell charger. First, the Anker charger has a small velcro strap that holds the cord from the charger to the laptop in place. The velcro strap should help eliminate a common problem with these types of chargers where the cord separates from the unit (which happened to our last Dell branded charger). There is no rubber strap included with the Anker brand charger like there is with the Dell charger; we just use the old one from the dell charger, but only for the power cord.

In all this charger charges the battery as well as powers the laptop; I noticed with other brands that reviewers mentioned that the unit would not charge the battery properly. I also wanted to mention that we initially had the 65W version of the dell charger and that this 90W version works perfectly with our laptop.

I won't ever be buying an overpriced Dell branded charger again! Anker New Laptop AC Adapter + Power Supply Cord for Dell Inspiron 9200 9300 9400, E1405 E1505 E1705, 1150 1521 1720 1721 5150 5160 6000 6400 8500 8600, Inspiron 300M 500M 505M 600M 640M 700M; Latitude E5400 E5500 E6400 E6500, D800 D810 D820 D830 100L X300, PP15S PP08L PP31L [19.5V 4.62A 90W 7.4*5.0mm]

While searching for a replacement power supply for a Dell Inspiron 1521, I read a boatload of reviews on *A LOT* of different units and there are plenty of bad reviews out there. That surprised me because this is just your basic low-tech commodity type of product. The actual Dell branded product seemed to have some of the worst reviews and frustrated customers right on the Dell web site. Most of the complaints I saw fell into the "did not work" or "did not last" category with at least one complaint about a (non-Dell) power supply damaging the laptop because the electrical polarity was reversed. So this was pretty much a crap-shoot for me. From what I could tell, the vendor and the product seemed to be worth the risk and the price was low enough that I could just toss it if I needed to. Well, it looks like I guessed right because it arrived a day early and it works like a champ. It's a 90 watt unit so it charges up the battery pretty quick. Now, if it just holds up for a while without dying, I'll be tickled. I say "go for it".

I bought this charger because of the reviews and have been very satisfied. Most impressive to me was a note I received with the charger. It said that a few chargers in a thousand may fail, but their service never would. If I ever have a problem, they will make it right. No qualifications, just a guarantee of satisfaction. I like that idea a lot, and I feel secure that I will be happy with this item

I'll be upfront: I go through power supplies like tissues. After having my laptop for just over 4 years I have been through 4 of them. Being a big original equipment person, I always paid the extra cash to get, what I thought was, the superior product. And watched 4 power supplies come and go. Finally I wised up and after seeing the positive reviews for this power supply I decided I'd try it. I am very pleased that I did. It's half the price of the cheapest OE Dell power supply I bought and has been doing great. The body is solid and no problem with loose wires at the exit ports. Also, I was a bit apprehensive when I saw that some reviewers complained about the shortness of the cords...I'm not sure what they were used too, but this baby provides at least 6 inches more length than any OE model I've ever used.

Going on a month of service I can report that it recharges my battery quickly and have had no problems electronically. The only thing to report in the negative is that it gets hot. Not dangerously so, but you sure don't want to be snuggling up to it. I find that if I keep it off the carpeting and on a hard surface (or a nearby book) it does a much better job of staying cool. Other than that very minor problem I have nothing but good things to say. Great power supply and incredible price.

No problem whatsoever with this product. I have an Inspiron E1705 and this charger is as good or better than the original and a lot cheaper than ordering a replacement from Dell. Original frayed at the lead into the computer.

The power supply worked as expect. Seems solid and a little more well built then the other OEM Power Supplies I've ordered. So fairly happy with this purchase. What impressed me the most was the packaging. This product comes in a very nice box. Well sealed with an instruction manual. That far exceeded my expectation for an low cost, OEM power supply. It makes feel like I ordered a retail replacement part. - Dell Inspiron - Power Adapter - Dell Inspiron Adapter - Laptop Power Adapters'

Plantronics Discovery 975 - headset, bluetooth

I am on the phone constantly. My two biggest concerns are call quality and battery life. I tried the new Jawbone, Plantronics Voyager Pro, and the Discovery 975. After this trial, I kept the Discovery.

Audio Quality

1. Jawbone

2. Discovery 975 and Voyager equal

The audio quality on the Discovery 975 was definitely NOT as good as the Jawbone, whose noise cancelling was far preferable. On my old Jawbone, I often called people from airports right under the speakers and people didn't even know I was in the airport. With the Discovery and Voyager, people definitely comment on hearing background noise. Once with the Discovery 975, I was opening a printer paper package. My caller said it sounded like a lightening storm. A similar noise wouldn't have garnered a comment on the Jawbone.

Battery Life

1. Discovery 975

2. Voyager Pro

3. Jawbone Prime

The recharging case for the Discovery 975 is the deal maker for me. If you use a blue tooth headset less than 4 hours per day, I would definitely chose the Jawbone Prime. However, the battery life and battery charging case on the Plantronics means that I can use the headset all day instead of 4 hours. My Jawbone was usually dead by noon. With the Discovery, I can talk on it for two hours, head into a meeting, tuck it into its protective case, and its recharged and ready at the end of the meeting. I almost always make it to the end of the day with plenty of charge using the Discovery.

Fit

1. Jawbone Prime

2. Discovery 975

3. Voyager Pro

I have an ear that typically can't stand an insert ear bud. The only ear bud headphone that works for me belong to my 6 year old's Barbie MP3. Nonetheless, the Discovery standard ear bud DOES work for me. It is very stable and never falls out for me. I do prefer the Jawbone's ear loop, but its minor to me. The Voyager Pro was toooo bulky for my little ear and completely uncomfortable with my eye glasses.

Mute

1. Discovery 975

2. Voyager Pro

3. Jawbone

I didn't realize how much I'd love it, but the audio prompt "mute ON" and "mute off" from the Discovery is a huge plus. I am on many many conference calls, often ones where I am not actively in the lead. With absolute clarity that I have "muted", I can walk into a coffee shop and get coffee, yell at my kids, etc...with confidence I'm not broadcasting to all. Plantronics Discovery 975 Bluetooth Headset

I'm one of those people who does a lot of research before buying something like this. In the past, I had Plantronics Voyager 510 and loved the sound quality. However, being a female with small ears who also wears glasses, the bulky piece of the 510 that went up over and wrapped around behind the ear cartilidge never wanted to stay behind my ear, and so would often come loose and fall out.

I then tried the voyager 520 since it had a smaller ear loop. I thought that one had worse sound quality, and actually fell out of my ear easier than the 510. So, I went back to using the 510.

Then, I lost the 510, and hence, my reason for researching new headsets.

After all of this, I had figured out that, along with sound quality, stable fit was a hugely important quality for me. I actually went to a few local cell phone stores to try different headsets on and narrowed it down to the Plantronics Discovery 975 or the Motorola one that is supposed to work kind of like the jawbone. It had a piece that went pretty far into year ear that sensed the sound of your voice through your own bones.

I ended up going with the Discovery 975 for several reasons. 1)the 975 has voice dial and last number redial capabilities (which I had gotten used to on my old Plantronics sets and liked a lot). I understand this feature doesn't work with every type of phone, but on my old motorola flip phones, and on my current Blackberry Tour, it does work. 2) I could get the 975 from Amazon directly (and more cheaply than at local stores), who I trust more than 3rd party sellers online. 3) I liked the idea of having a case for the headset to keep it safe in my purse. That it was a charging case was even better. 4) the reviews for sound quality for the 975 seemed better for my purposes. The jawbone feature of the motorola had to be manually engaged if you were in a noisy situation, and then the reviews said you still had to talk loud and enunciate much to be heard and understood. The 975's noise reduction features are always engaged. 5) I had had Plantronics bluetooths in the past, and was overall pretty happy with them (at least I was with the Voyager 510).

SOUND QUALITY

After using the 975 for about a month now, I have been very happy with the sound quality - both what I hear at my end and what others tell me I sound like. In my car, in noisy grocery stores, and outside in at least moderate wind, the sound has always been quite good, or so my husband tells me. I can hear others very well also.

FIT

I am EXTREMELY happy with the fit. I could go to a concert and head bang, and I don't think it would come out. In fact, one day I did a pretty forceful head shake demo for one of my co-workers, and she was super impressed. Before I even received the 975, I also ordered some ear loops for it on ebay (the one shown in one of the reader-submitted pictures). I don't need it. In fact, I'd say (unless it stretches with use) the 975 is far more comfortable without it, and just as stable in my ear. Some other reviews claim the 975 itself is uncomfortable with the silicone stabilizer loop that goes in your ear fold. Maybe a little uncomfortable after several hours of having it in your ear, but you could always try a smaller silicone piece. Three sizes are included. Plus, it is so easy to take on and off, I sometimes just set it on my desk, and if I hear my phone ring, I just slip it in quick and start talking.

Most of all, I'm thrilled that it says in without anything (especially anything heavy or bulky) going over the back of my ear. Now it doesn't matter if I'm wearing my glasses (or my bulkier sunglasses). I can still wear my bluetooth without having to worry that it will fall out.

VOLUME BUTTON

Some have complained about the small volume button and only having three volume levels to toggle through rather than an up and down volume rocker. I don't think it's that small or hard to use, especially if you have a little bit of fingernail on any of your fingers. However, I think these people are forgetting that you can adjust the volume to very specific levels using the volume controls on your phone itself. At least I can using the up and down buttons on the side of my blackberry (and the same was true with my older plantronics sets and my old motorola flip phones.)

CALL BUTTON

This is the main button that does most everything. Turns it on, turns it off, answers calls, ends calls, initiates voice dial, initiates last number redial. I don't have a problem with it. But then, I'm used to how Plantronics sets up its controls. If you are new to plantronics, you might have to play with it a little to get the hang of it, but I think it's pretty easy.

CASE

I very much like the charging case, and the charging status indicator is nice, too. You can even charge the 975 in the case while the headset is connected to your phone, and if your phone rings, just pop it out of your case, put it in your ear, and you're good to go. Now I don't have to worry about the headset getting banged up in my purse. The case is probably just a little bigger than a squared off tube of lipstick. In fact, if you've ever seen a leather lipstick case, it's about that size.

TALK TIME

I can't say I've tested talk time. Between the headset charge and the charging case, I've never come close to running out of power on the headset.

I did have one time earlier this week when I though the headset had gone all buggy on me. The microphone sounded like it was on all the time (as opposed to just being on during phone calls). I was faintly hearing my own voice and a little wind noise (when outside) through the speaker in my ear all the time. Also, the voice dial, last call redial, and even just answering calls was acting funny and not working. I did an online tech support chat through the plantronics website, and we figured out that I needed to do a soft reboot of my blackberry (pull the battery while the phone is on, then reinsert it and start it up again). I was specifically told to do this while the 975 was on. It went back to working perfectly, so it seems the problem was with the blackberry tour(which is a little buggy) rather than the 975.

Over all, I'm EXTREMELY pleased with this bluetooth. I think the sound quality/noise reduction is better than the voyager 510, and the fit is far superior. - Bluetooth - Headset - Plantronics - Discovery 975'

Camera Storage - 8gb, photography

I am very fond of my Sandisk cards.

I also have a Sandisk 4.0 GB Extreme card, and did an interesting comparison. I held a recording time race between Ultra and Extreme, here in my livingroom. Recording a big buffer full of photos in multiple trials, the recording times were identical. The more expensive Extreme was no faster than this card. In my case, the recording rate has to be limited by my camera, a Nikon 8800.

Having a reliable card as large as 8.0 GB is very helpful.

My cards have traveled to Alaska, Mexico, and Ecuador, and have had to function in all sorts of conditions. They have recorded 100,000+ photos, each of which I desperately did not want to loose. I back them up as often as I can, but I still worry, and I have lost photos when other cards failed.

I am pleased to say I have never lost a photo from a Sandisk card - in spite of the abuse I put them through.

Last week I filled up my Sandisk Ultra II 8.0 GB with important photos - carefully staged photos of butterfly specimens at the California Academy of Sciences. I worked 12 hours a day for 8 days on this project. The card behaved as it always has, and every single one of the 2400 photos I took, made it home safely.

Do back your cards up often, but from experience I can say that I have a very, very favorable impression of this card. SanDisk 8GB/30MB Ultra II CF Card ( SDCFH-008G-A11, US Retail Package )

This is the best value in an 8 gig card. I've bought a couple super fast generic cards and they are slooooow. False advertizing. I will stick to name brands. I'm using this in a Nikon D2X and D200 and the card is plenty fast. It will empty a full buffer of 25 raw images in one minute, plenty fast for me. Faster brand name cards might be faster but more money. For me this is the right balance of speed and cost.

I've been using this card on my camera since early May, and I am completely enthralled by the flexibility that its speed and capacity give me. Try as I might, the closest I've come to filling this card up on my Canon XTi was on a 5 day long trip where I shot over 3,000 pictures on Medium/Fine quality (2816x1880). I didn't have my computer or any other storage with me on the trip, so I was anticipating having to go through and start deleting pictures at some point to be able to keep everything I wanted and still be able to shoot more. On the third day though, I realized that I had only half-filled the card with about 2,000 shots. I was also able to get a 90-shot burst at 3fps on medium. For the most part, Medium/Fine resolution on the XTi will be good enough for most prints. I've printed up to 11x14 with a bit of post-processing with great success.

So the card by itself will handle a very photo-happy trip with the right quality settings. But when I'm going out for something a bit more deliberate, say some portraits for a friend, I can shoot about 800 photos in RAW, and almost 450 in RAW+JPEG-large! (though if I need JPEGs I usually just do a quick batch conversion when I import everything onto my PC into Adobe Lightroom)

However my favorite thing about this card is that I can use it to shoot timelapse without having to tote my laptop around. If I can get access to an AC outlet, or use the inverter in my car for field-work, I can set up my camera with just my locked shutter release cable or the converted intervalometer I sometimes snag from my friend. This means I don't have to bring my laptop, I don't have to set up the software with the cabling, I don't have to worry about powering my laptop, I don't need to quickly respond to any computer-to-camera communication issues, I can set up and move much more quickly...there's just a boatload of advantages!

If I shoot in medium/fine resolution, this card will give me enough frames for a 2-minute, 24fps high-definition time lapse video. If I shoot in small/fine resolution (1936x1280 is still higher resolution than 1080P video's 1920x1080) I can do nearly 4-minutes. And if I want to sacrifice a small amount of quality for length, shooting at small/regular I can get nearly 10-minutes of timelapse video.

On the speed side of things, this card is plenty quick. Surprisingly I get a fast transfer straight from the camera over a USB cable than with my card reader, but it might just be a bad card reader. But I can transfer a nearly-full card in just a few minutes. Camera to card transfer is pretty fast, and it only takes a few seconds for the buffer to clear after single a RAW+JPEG-L shot, and about 20 seconds to clear the full buffer (good for 9 RAW+JPEG-L, 12 RAW, or 90+ Medium/Fine pictures)...

I also have not had a single instance of data corruption or any other problems with this CF card. It's solid as a rock and I'm extremely glad that I didn't go for something smaller or cheaper.

i shoot water pics in raw with a nikon d200. i have used this card over 25 times, about 200 gb added and deleted with no prblems. i am very happy with it. i might get a extreme 3 or 4 for quicker speed but this extreme 2 is excellent for quality and durability. - Ultra Ii - Sandisk - Photography - 8gb'

Cutter - braun, cutter

Braun will tell you that the foil and cutting head need to be replaced every 18 months, but I shaved much longer than that with the original cutting assembly, perhaps too long. Replacing was a snap, literally, and using the shaver after replacement with this new cutting assembly improved the shave from my Braun.

I was quite pleased that this foil has the updated hexagonal grid pattern rather than my old circular hole pattern in the original foil. This design does seem better at catching the facial hair for a closer shave.

The only thing I was disappointed in was the rather large S&H charge to send the cutter and foil set by mail. I think this company should do better at less packaging and a lower postal rate. Braun 7000-Series Syncro Shaver Replacement Foil & Cutter Set

I've had an 8000 series Braun electric razor for a few years now, and when I went to replace the cutter and foils a 2nd time I was surprised to find how quickly the quality of the replacement parts had gone down hill. The ridge between the foils grabbed at the hair on my face painfully without fail and the cutters were notably dull and chewed up my neck. This was a far cry from the quality and reliability that had shaped my opinion of Braun and its products. Thankfully, I followed some reviewer suggestions and gave this 7000 series replacement a try. Not only did it fit my razor, but it performed at the level that I was used to. Just picked up a 2nd set in case these become harder to find in a year...

I have read that some versions of the 7000 series foils do not fit, but this one fit my 7526 Braun Synchro perfectly, and works great. If you have a 7000 series Braun, drop a few bucks more than the cheapo models and get the real deal.

I purchased the razor used on craigslist. The original owner said the razor simply didn't work for him. It didn't for me at first as it left visible marks on my face that remained all day. Once I got the new foil and cutter it works great, giving a much closer shave than my old Norelco. - Cutter - Braun - Foil'

Dvd Cases - cd cases, cd case

This shipped in and I immediately started using the cases for a project I was finishing up. I was disappointed that of the 100 I used, there were about 15 broken cases. Most of these had broken hinges due to shipping, I suppose. The ones that weren't broken are solid cases, but it is still frustrating to have to throw so many away. You can take your chances, and these cases are really well priced, but I'd say the way they are packaged, there is a good chance that you'll have a fair number of broken cases right off the bat. Vact 5.2 mm Slim CD & DVD Jewel Cases 200-pack

I must complement Musician's Friend, for all there help. The CD cases arrived with 1/3 broken. Musician's Friend sent me new ones to replace the broken ones. I was impressed with the service I received.

You can't really screw up jewel cases. These are your traditional cases; not name-brand or anything, but the value is fantastic. Even with standard shipping, I got mine the very next day. No packaging other than the box they come in--that means you need to keep the original shipment, but not really a big deal. They get the job done.

I have to admit the price was good, however, the quality was not. The cases do not lay flat, they have a dished shape probably due to the way they're packaged. They don't stay closed very well and upwards of 20 or more out of 200 were damaged and unusable when they arrived. I don't think I'll buy these again.

I was very disappointed in this product. The hinge is so skimpy that when you open up the jewel case for the first time it breaks. So far I've had to throw at least 30 away. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Bh25vSOvL._SL75_.jpg

The jewel cases arrived in a very timely fashion. The packaging was awful. No bubble-wrap or peanuts, just 200 pcs. tightly wrapped in thin cardboard. Approximately 95 cases were completely useless. Amazon.com did give me a 50% credit after talking to my 3rd Amazon customer service rep. He also made suggestions on what to purchase next time - woopee-doo.

I will never order this particular product again!!!!

These are very nice. I now have all of my music, and data CDs in them, and am much happier becaue I can store them in racks now instead of piled all about like when they were in paper sleeves. This is a good product, and you can't go wrong for the price. - Jewel Cases - Dvd Case - Cd Case - Cd Cases'

Replacement Battery - ryobi 12 volt, ridgid

I bought this replacement battery because the two that came with the original purchase had begun to not hold a charge. The originals lasted about four years. This replacement failed after two uses. Read other reviews about poor quality replacements, and my experience was the same. Ridgid 130252002 12V 1.25Ah NiCd Battery

My two batteries have clearly outperformed my expectations. They've endured extreme southwest heat (100+ degrees), dust and severe abuse for the past three years. My DeWalt driver's battery surrendered after two years of similar treatment. The Ridgids continue to perform although one's charge doesn't last so long now. I'm buying two more to add to my toolbox. My experience with Amazon has been superb. Two other products I ordered in the past were either flawed or not what was ordered. I received replacements within days, one in two days time.

I checked my local "battery" specialty store and found out I could get my old ones refurbished for a few bucks MORE than this new replacement costs. I got two of these - been using them for months now (light "home" duty) and they're terrific.

Ridgid 12V 1.25Ah NiCd Battery 130252002

I had two batteries with my drill driver. One went bad just before the warranty expired. The other one lasted a year longer. I hope this one performs as well as the first two.

Delivery was quick. The battery was not charged when I got it but took full charge in about half an hour and has worked perfectly since. I do not use my drill driver all the time but tend to use it pretty heavily when I do need it.

This battery seems as strong as the old one when it was new.

I have had a hard time finding batteries.

Partly because I was looking for an exact match.

This battery is a bit smaller and a bit less time on charge,

but available and cheaper. Yippee

Now I don't have to buy a new drill because the battery technology has changed.

When my old Ridgid NiCd batteries went dead, I recycled them. I found out ne week later that you can have them re-built at a fractiion of the cost of new ones! I found these two new ones online for just over the cost of one at Home Depot. Good supplier. Thanks Amazon. - Ryobi 12 Volt - Ridgid'

Kindle Devices - love it, e-reader

So glad CBS is releasing season two before the third season starts. I got my friend hooked on this show and she really wanted to see season two. The Unit is still going strong and can't wait for the third season. The actors aren't bad too look at either. Fast enjoyable hour. Enjoy The Unit Season 2

I was so impressed with the first season that I had to get the second season on DVD as well. Even better without the commercial interruptions.

Anyone that wants good action and drama in a TV series this would be a good one to follow. Season 3 just started on air and it's been incredable so far just after the first episode! We have another winner!

=D

My husband is a retired Army man and he absolutely loves this show--especially the mission parts. There are only 3 shows that he cares anything at all about: NCIS, Numbers, & The Unit. If you like military operations shows this is the one for you.

This show is very well plotted and has a great pace between A and B stories of a unit of special operations. Bouncing back and forth between the husbands in harm's way and the wifes, it is all about secrets. I am surprised that most people don't even know the show exists, the acting is superb, the stories are always fresh and new, and the action is intense. The most surprising part of the show is the secrets the wives have and what events they have to go through while raising a family. In the meantime the men are on realistic missions in foreign and domestic situations and use the most realistic weapons available. This is an entertaining show with value.

I bought the first season when it came out and ever since then I have been waiting like crazy for the second season. And all this anticipation was by no means anti-climatic. This season is as good or better than the first. Can't wait for thr third to come out.

Season 2 proved even better than season 1. The character development is excellent, the stories are great and the film quality is superb. As a soldier, I really enjoy seeing a show that is as close to real life as a TV show can be. Obviously the housing they live in is far better than any my family has had on a US Army base, but if they used real housing, there wouldn't be room for the cameras! A great show that I hope continues for some time.

I came across The Unit by accident and have been hooked ever since. The concept is great and makes you want to just get up and enlist.

My only drawback is that the DVDs only play well on my PC. On my DVD player, the third and fourth episodes on all the disks don't play.

The Unit cast would definitely surprise you with their outstanding performance and solid presence throughout each of the episodes. Beside Prison Break and may be The Shield, The Unit comes out with a mix of drama, sex, romance, and plentiful of actions that mesmerizes you to the limit. I have enjoyed the show and will be following the coming episodes with great anticipation. - E-reader - Love It - Ebook - Kindle Devices'

UPDATES IN THE LAST PARA

I have clarified a few things that other reviews had issues with and gave it a low rating.

For Starters: Since I use Both Mac & PC, I can 1000% say that it works on both these operating systems.

Some customers had issues with the drive going into sleep mode after 10 mins or so. Well, the copying process does not stop, just because the drive has gone into SLEEP mode.

You can take this SLEEP feature off by:

Process 1: Downloading a Free Seagate Manager program available on the Seagate website.

(I did not do this, I used process 2, described next)

OR

Process 2: Formatting the drive and remove the pre-installed Seagate software. Then the drive will NOT go to SLEEP Mode.

How to Format a Drive in Windows:

Plug the Drive --> Go to My Computer --> Right click on the Seagate icon--> Click "Format"

How to Format a Drive in Mac 10.4 or earlier:

Open Macintosh HD --> Click Applications --> Click Utilities --> Open "Disk Utility" --> Select the Seagate disk listed on the Left Side --> Click "Erase" tab --> Choose Volume Format to "MS-DOS" (I chose this so that I can use it on Windows & Mac).

(For the newer MAC 10.6.1 or later, I guess Format is : "Mac OS Extended (journaled)", as rightly pointed out to me by a learned customer IB...Thanks dude!)

Design: Compact & Sleek. Little bigger than the iPhone, but lighter than the iPhone (8GB)

Connection: NO A/C Power outlet needed. Only single USB port is needed, everything provided in the box. So you just take it out and plug it and use it.

Compatibility: Both PC & Mac. Although on the box it says "FOR PC", it was detected by my MAC and will work with both.

Size: Though it says 500GB, we get 465.35GB. And this is the case with most hard drives.

Speed: Forget about the specifics - it is FAST!!

Well worth your money, right!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many customers have asking me why the format process did not work for their Mac?
The reason is, I have a Mac version 10.4.1 and I clarified that in the review.I guess there are a few changes for 10.6.1 and I added that too. If your MAC OS does not fit the description, the best way to start is by finding out OS version of your MAC & then search online on how to format it OR take it to an apple store.
Basically, the STEPS on how to format remain the SAME. But you might find some different Volumes Format based on your OS version. Volume Format will change as new Operating Systems (OS) keep sprouting.
When I bought this drive, there was not a single review which spoke about MAC Compatibility, let alone the other issues. But I took the risk and bought it for $100 or so.
Also, if you compare other reviews vs. mine. My review does not speak about how many songs I have on my drive, who gifted me this, how my life has changed with the new drive, how my office folks like it, how it fits in my pocket although the it is a trouser from my high school.
No offense, they are good individually. What I mean is....one review answer about plug n play....another spoke about light weight (by how much they didnt say)...another complained SLEEP issue...But none answered MAC compatibility, Format, Weight etc
My review has even answered everything that can happen with this drive. (Except that "What will happen if it breaks down" :P ) Seagate Expansion 250 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive ST902504EXA101-RK
---update at end---
I purchased this drive a few weeks ago and have been very pleased with it. The only junk it was the warranty registration program. Run it then delete it. Disk comes pre-formated for NTFS. I went ahead and did a quick format to get rid of the existing folders on it. The drive goes into standby mode after 5 minutes bye default. This is quickly remedied and set to your liking with free Seagate Manager program available on Seagates website. Also this program give you the ability to do backups, and computer syncs.
Pros -
Quiet drive
very fast
small and sleek
no power supply needed
only requires use of one usb port
Simple/Custom Backups with Seagate Manager
Sync Option with Seagate manager
Cons-
Goes into standby in 5 minutes by default. Easily changeable with Seagate Manager
Case Logic Compact Portable Hard Drive Case listed as an option to purchase with this is TOO SMALL for this drive. This is an issue with Amazon not the drive itself.
Overall I am very please with this drive I have used it on multiple laptops and pcs without issue. I would suggest this over the new WD essential drives that come pre-installed with a bunch of crapware.
------UPDATE--------- 12/17/2010
First Google seagate freeagent download select the Seagate link then select Free Agent GO link. File name is FreeAgentCN.ZIP
I have have used this drive for the last year still performs as well today as it did a year ago. This is still a great buy. - 250 Gb - Usb Hard Drive - Seagate - Portable Hard Drive'
Circulatory Clamps
If you are looking for a book to get updated with what is new on extracorporeal technology, On Bypass is the one. I would not recommend it for students. On the other side I think this book is a must on all shelves of serious and mature professionals. I am very pleased to see the clear and concise text. All important information at our hands for a quick look. Congratulations to the editors for concentrating so many experts in a single 576 pages book. On Bypass: Advanced Perfusion Techniques (Current Cardiac Surgery)
This book is an excellent read for perfusionists of any level, from student to long time professional. As a new grad, I advanced my knowlege on a number of current perfusion topics not fully covered in my perfusion schooling. It is easy to understand, wonderfully written, and in my mind is up there with the "bible" of perfusion, Gravlee's Cardiopulmonary Bypass: Principle's and Practice. In a field of limited resources, this is a must have!'
Organization Accessories - pretty in pink, cooking
I purchased these for use with my Circulon Elite hard-anodized 8-quart sauce pot. Knowing that plastic is recommended for use on non-stick cookware, I purchased these. Well, the flat turner of this set gouged my (practically indestructible) pot the first time I used it! There should be a warning on the product page NOT to buy them for non-stick cookware. Calypso Basics Utensil Set of 4, Pink
We needed to replace our old, worn out and chipped utensils and after searching around, this Calypso Basics Utensil set was the best price with good reviews. I ordered a set in turquoise and after using them a while, ordered another set. They work well with stainless steel and cast iron cookware. I do not have any non-stick cookware, but do have some flame ceramic cookware but haven't yet used these utensil on them. These pieces are sturdy and just the right size (I had bought an Oster spoon from Amazon before trying these and the spoon is oversized and hard to use).
Do not buy them. They are junk and I cook those three course meals 5 days a week.
I first thought these were good but as I used them they are too sharp and scratch non stick cookware.
I am looking for utensil's that are not Ergonomically designed...they take up too much space with such a huge chubby handle and I don't need them 14 inches long, really they are all overkill in design.... but these are far from the answer, whatever they are made out of is substandard material, very sharp edges on all, they drag the pan and take it with them, not good, not healthy at all.
I bought two sets of these, one in green and the other in red, for each of our kitchens. I bought them primarily for the color and did not expect great quality for so little money. These work terrific, even with high heat and can be cleaned in the dishwasher or hand washed. They work well with non-stick pans. A definite winner!
These were so shiny and pretty that when I first opened them I didn't want to use them! But I've since gotten over that and are the first utensils I grab when I'm cooking. I adore the color and have always gotten great products from the brand.
I bought these in grey. They look nice, but when it says basic they aren't kidding. Unlike some utensils that have a little give, these are very hard & rigid plastic. Almost afraid to use them on my non-stick skillets. Not bad for the price and they do come in some interesting colors. - Kitchen - Cooking - Pretty In Pink - Organization Accessories'
Touch Screen - android, touch screen
OK I received my VPad7 yesterday afternoon, and so far I'm MOSTLY Happy!
It's zippy, but I do wish they had put in a 1Ghz processor. Will probably force it out of a Honeycomb Upgrade.
I can not get Adobe Flash to install, but so far I haven't found that to be an issue on the web.
Viewing Angels not a problem, Battery life - We'll see after it's conditioned but so far I'd estimate 4-8hrs depending on activities.
Tested Transformers 720p HD and not one flicker
Sound from it's little speakers Impressive!
Dropped my T-Mobile SIM in and BOOM instant Big Phone :D The Speed only shows Edge, but I'm in a funky location.
Phone quality - Just got off a 1 hour conference call using both the speakerphone option and the plugin headset. No complaints from anyone. I heard the other end just fine.
Reception signal is actually BETTER with this than with my actual T-Mobile HD2 phone.
Highly Recommend getting a MicroUSB card as the internal memory is minimal. Get the more expensive FAST card for better performance.
Streaming music, sounds Great just as nice as an MP3.
GPS works like a champ!
Angry birds works great :D
My only other Gripe is the keyboard - It functions fine, but I'd like to use the Market's Better Keyboard, which after installed and enabled - doesn't swap out for the swype keyboard that is standard.
I may look into the "rooting" options that people have done with it's big brother, but so far it's handsomely accomplished everything I've tasked it with!
If you're looking for a Bigger Screen Smartphone, and don't want to pay that extra Data Fee that the carriers are forcing on us, this is CURRENTLY your best option! and with that extra Data Fee you can't use it's competitors (Galaxy Tab for example) as a phone, even though they have the capability.
If I have luck with rooting and installing any custom ROM, I'll post my results. It's not a top priority ATM as it's satisfactory as it is.
TO Viewsonic - Get is certified for Flash, and unlock it so I can use whatever virtual keyboard I want and you'd get 5 stars!!
Update: 5/30 OK after using it awhile I've come up with two major flaws - this may be MY actual device, or an actual design flaw - 1) Charging has become a game - I have to Cinch the Power cord behind the Tablet using something to Hold it in place back there then maneuver the USB plug just right or it won't charge. 2)the "Buzzer" now goes off if you hold the the Tablet too tight or if its in my computer bag; and won't stop until you slap it. So it now sits in a cradle, it functions fine and I still use it, but not outside of my home office.... I should have returned/exchanged it, but I had such problems getting basic information from Viewsonics' Customer Service, I just re purposed it and got the XOOM which I LOVE 110%. Hopefully no one else has had this issue, if not for that I'd Still give it 4 Stars. ViewSonic ViewPad 7 7-Inch Android 2.2 Tablet - Black (Wifi & Unlocked 3G)
Overview: I place the Viewpad7 above the iPad for the simple reason that it has these features...is more portable, has dual cameras, has MicroSDHC port and a SIM Port. The Samsung Tab shows up on paper with a higher resolution, but I would have expected the Tab to have an AMOLED screen for that price. The 1GHz processor on the Tab is definitely nice, but not a deal-breaker. I do have a problem with Samsung hobbling it's phone features for the premium price, even if it is subsidized by the Carrier. Samsung Tab, Viewpad7 and iPad are the only real choices if you want more features than an eBook Reader can provide.
External: I definitely like the portability of the Viewpad7 which fits in your jeans back pocket even if in the Leatherette Case. The Case could use an SD Card, Credit Card and SIM Card pocket...but that's a personal preference. The fit and finish are clean but they should have placed the Mini-USB/Charge Port and Headset Port on the side so that you could connect to them even when the unit is sitting on the Case in Easel Mode. The speakers are pretty loud and you'll get people looking your way if you're playing 'Video Poker - Jacks or Better'. Easy access at the top of the unit to the MicroSDHC and SIM ports are a real plus. Sure would be nice if this thing had an additional full-size/full-service USB2.0 port given the thickness.
Wireless Functionality: Popped in a T-Mobile SIM with 3G Internet and was able to make calls with no problems. You can use it as a Hub for making Conference Calls and a BT Headset works well. I was only able to get EDGE Internet, which was extremely slow. I could load up the WSJ website to read articles, but anything that used even a mildly graphics laden website just wasn't going to happen. A little research and I found that T-Mobile uses UMTS1700(upload) and UMTS2100(download) for 3G and this unit only has UMTS850/1900/2100. 90% of the world runs 3G Internet on UMTS2100 where it's available. The phone is World GSM ready with 850/900/1800/1900, but I won't get to test this out until mid-year from Mexico and hopefully Thailand after that. As far as 3G, it should work in Mexico with TelCel as long as they aren't using the mini-SIM. If you have a reliable Wi-Fi signal, the internet pops along pretty well. I was able to run YouTube clips with no issues. Flash 10.1 isn't available yet, but I hear it is in the works. I tried hooking up a Palm Folding Keyboard and Interlink Mouse via Blue-tooth with no success...it doesn't play well with Pairing Codes that aren't fixed.
Android OS 2.2 - This is where I think the unit needs more work. Programs like Picture Gallery would 'Hang-Up' once in awhile and I'd have to hit the 'Return' to take a step back to get it going again. Transferring pictures from my PC was kind of hit and miss with some having to be reloaded in order to be viewable. The Gallery was nice when it worked properly, adjusting resolution of pictures automatically and allowing you to re-orient. 'Video Poker' would lock-up and I'd have to exit and restart. I'm still trying to figure out how to get imported music and video to work. The User Guide, which doesn't ship with the unit and is available from the Viewsonic Website, is pretty useless at best. Transfers don't work as simple as 'drag-n-drop' like on my Android 2.2 phone. This unit can be set up as a Wireless Hotspot, but since I haven't gotten to use 3G Internet it hasn't been tested real-time yet.
Hardware - The Cameras are nice, but nothing to brag about. A flash would have been nice and higher resolution always a plus. They work. The Internal 512MB is ROM, which means you'll have to add memory through the MicroSDHC port. I wish it had at least 512MB Internal RAM so I could keep an on-board secure file for passwords and other sensitive info. I haven't had the chance to run the battery down, but I've gotten 3hrs+ continuous use with some juice still showing on the Battery Indicator. The Google Maps feature with GPS-Sats used as a navigator works well. This should work fine with AT&T 3G Internet and allow me to order pizza on the run and then navigate to pick it up.
Docs-To-Go - Having this built in is very nice. Word and .pdf Documents seem to work best. I haven't been able to get a PowerPoint file to work yet and Excel works in basic mode, but still haven't been able to get it to function on a Workbook between sheets.
Future - Still have to get imported vids and music to work. Testing out on AT&T 3G Internet and Wi-Fi Hotspot feature. Root MagicJack so I can make International Calls back to the US. I want to print wirelessly and it should be able to hook up to a Projector using a USB Printer Cable available on eBay and Amazon.
Overall - This Tablet definitely has some issues still to be resolved and isn't as reliable as many Android Phones out there. But it seems to be the best of what's available. I'd still pick this over the Samsung Tab and if I had to go with the Tab I'd pick the AT&T version so it would function Internationally. I can see using this while waiting at the airport to board, or at the hotel to download my Electronic Boarding Pass before I leave. I should be able to hook up my laptop via the Hotspot feature in a pinch. Fiddling is the only way to learn this Tablet since the User Guide is very limited. The 7-inch format is definitely the way to go with lots of patience required. Ordering via Amazon with Free Shipping is awesome! - Android - Viewsonic - Touch Screen - Tablet'
Rain-x Latitude Wiper Blades
I ordered the Bosch 19" and 21" wipers for my 2002 Honda Civic as a part of a Buy One Bosch Blade Get One Free [...]. I probably would've never considered trying Bosch windshield blades otherwise, but I'm so happy I did.
With my previous blades that I got during an oil change at a quick-lube shop, I got a lot of streaking and squeaking whenever I used them. Every time I encountered a rain storm, I had to abide the same consistent, annoying noise if I didn't want to compromise my own safety. It was very difficult to bear.
Even after I pulled the trigger on buying the blades, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to install them on my car because of my lack of automotive know-how. When they came, however, my worries went away. The Bosch blade package showed me how to remove my old blades and how to install the new ones. It was a piece of cake. The only problem? They came individually in two separate boxes that were HUGE. What a waste of packing material, Amazon! :(
Back to the blades: How do they function? Beautifully! I streamed washer fluid onto my windshield and it cleaned it away with no streaking and no noise whatsoever.
What better testimonial can I give than I decided to buy another pair for my partner? They work wonderfully - get them now! Bosch 4822 Evolution All-Season Bracketless Wiper Blade - 22"
I've had these about 2 weeks on a Chevy Tahoe and they work great, the only problem is that the passenger-side blade lacks enough "spring" to follow the contour of the windshield, leaving the outermost 2 inches of the blade with virtually no contact with the glass. I'm hoping that as they age a little the rubber wiper will settle in and lower itslef closer to the glass, but who knows...
Most new cars come with spring-less wipers from the manufacturer. If that's the case I don't think this makes much sense to get these.
If you have an older model car that uses spring-loaded wipers that doesn't do much more than smudging water back-and-forth on your windshield, these wipers are a substantial upgrade. I first bought them for my 2001 RAV4 and replaced only one wiper just to compare side-by-side and it's like seeing half the windshield is squeaky-clean and the other half feels like looking through someone else's eyeglass. The difference is so dramatic you don't need to have the results side-by-side to know there's a huge difference. After that I bought a pair for my 2005 S2000 as well. Same great results compared against the factory spring-loaded wipers.
In combination with applying RainX to the windshield, the result is very similar a brand new car off the dealer's lot. RainX helps the wiping during low speed, and it also has the added benefit of not needing the wipers much at high speeds. I would say these wipers contribute 80% and RainX 20%.
One word of warning is that though the bracket of these wipers come fairly curved in its natural position, it may not fit the the curviest of windshields like a glove. My S2000 windshield outcurves these brackets at the extreme end on the passenger side. That means in wiper off position the last inch or two of the wiper is not touching the winshield. Only after the wiper moves up a few inches does it fully come in contact. In reality this does not affect my visibility from the driver's seat at all. Hence it's a full five-star rating from me despite this.
I live in Seattle with frequent rain, but no snow. So this review does not extend to how well they work in below-freezing weather. See other reviewers' comments regarding snow.
I recently installed 2 sets of these wipers on both my F150 and my wife's Explorer. After an ice storm and 2 snow storms we both decided these wipers are dissapointing at best. These contoured blades are supposed to maintain contact with the windshield in snowy conditions. Well, neither one of us found this to be true. We both spent more time on the side of the road, cleaning the ice/snow off of these, hoping they'd maintain contact with the glass. On my set, after a few times of banging the ice/snow off the blade, the little plastic covers kept opening up. I noticed when I removed these (only 4 weeks old) that 3 of the 4 covers were missing.
Don't be fooled by their cleaner appearance or by their advertising, these are not worth the money.
I purchased a couple of Bosh Evolution wipers in june '08 for a Mitsubishi Lancer. Here's my review:
SHIPPING:
Amazon states that "This item must be shipped separately from other items in your order", so Amazon shipped each blade in it's own big, bulky box. I had to pay double for shipping, which doesn't make sense and is completely wasteful and annoying.
INSTALLATION: The wipers are "universal", so the're designed to fit many cars and include an adaptor for "J" type wiper arms. However, there's no way I could have known beforehand if they would have fit the wiper arms of my car (but I guess "universal" really fits all).
I recall one of these adaptors has a latch that was a little loose.
The graphic instructions are printed on the back of the packaging and I found the blades very easy to install.
PERFORMANCE:
The factory installed wipers on my car had brackets and after 1 year they had started streaking the glass. This bracketless idea WORKS, because the streaks eventually dissappeared.
But wiping the water is what you want these for, and here's a dissappointment.
The wipers work well when they're doing the upward motion. However, after they reach their uppermost position (when the driver's wiper is completely vertical), the wind starts pushing the water inwards (towards the blade of the wiper in front of driver) instead of outwards. The water "builds" on the side of the blade and when the wiper is doing the downward motion, it "sprinkles" the windshield back with water... right in the line of view. And that is VERY annoying, especially if they cost like 4 or 5 times more than the regular ones.
ENDURANCE:
These have lasted almost a year, but I expect them to last at least another one. I have no idea what kind of maintenance these require or will require, because they have this new graphite coating and I believe I might have rubbed it off when I cleaned them with a cloth after installing them. Alas, they're working fine right now.'
