Laptop Battery Chargers

The cord would barely stay in the laptop's socket. I had to literally put scotch tape around it so it wouldn't slip out. The secondary cable adapter which has the electrical socket plug broke open within a few weeks. And afterwards the cord just split open after a month or so of use. Eventually the inner cables snapped and the piece of junk became useless and non functional. I guess you get what you pay for. It was a great price, but I didn't know I was buying a temporary solution. I would have much rather paid more for a better quality product. Don't buy it. NEW Laptop Power Supply Cord for Compaq Presario cq60-211dx cq60-214dx Business NC6320

The photo is very misleading. The "ac adapter" shown in the photo is not apparently part of this "deal". Their description states it is a "power supply CORD", so technically that makes this correct. The photo suggest otherwise, so just be careful as to what you think you are buying. The adapter (aka: power converter, power supply, ac adapter) seem to be "incidental" in the photo and if your need the whole kit to convert 120v ac into DC power for your laptop, that will cost much more.

I went to Staples, where I bought the computer that is attached to this cord, to be told to buy a new cord for about 75.00.OMG!!!!!The cord I received in less than 2 days from this seller was just as effective. Thanks for saving me gobs of money.

After using this once to charge my Compaq, the laptop immediately started having issues and showing nothing but a black screen constantly. Yesterday, I borrowed an origional plug from my friend (we have the same exact computer) and now my computer works just fine. Wish I had tried this plug out before my return date.

The cord comes with both parts and arrived quickly and in good condition. The cord is not loose and works perfectly. I am starting to wonder if the bad reviews are plants from HP who don't want us to use these inexpensive replacement parts. Even if I have to replace this every six months for two years(which I sincerely doubt is the case) it will cost half as much as the HP replacement part. I bought this to replace a power cord for a compaq presario CQ60.

After looking at the big electronic stores for a replacement cord for my daughter's laptop I thought I'd try Amazon. Couldn't believe the price of the cord and was suspecting I'd be disappointed. Cord was here within 3 days and its a perfect fit and charges great. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.'

Personal Gps Trackers - garmin, running

I bought the foot pod so I could use my 405CX on an indoor track and have been pleased with the results.

Calibration was easy. On the Garmin 010-00658-30 Forerunner 405CX GPS Sport Watch with Heart Rate Monitor (Blue) you can calibrate it using the GPS or a 400m track. I chose to use the GPS and it had me run .66 of a mile. Was easy and seems to be pretty accurate. The only issue is that you need to calibrate it at the pace you usually run at. For instance I usually run at a 10 minute/mile pace but since I was only running .66 miles while calibrating it I ran at a much faster pace throwing it off a bit.

Running on a .10 mile indoor track after 3.5 miles it was off by about 50' more by the end of the run. Not perfect by any means but I could probably calibrate it more (or you can adjust it manually) to key it in.

I don't use it running while outside, but if you don't like the pace setting of the GPS you can have the watch display pace according to the foot pod instead.

Installation and removal is easy. The instructions say it will fit in an insole pocket if your shoe has one, but mine does not. To attach it to the laces you slide the mounting bracket under two X's where your shoe laces cross then snap the pod over the top. To remove you have to press a tab that unhooks it. It's very secure and takes a lot of pressure to remove it. I have no fear that it will come off while running.

I am very happy with the pod, it works very well, and is easy to use. If you want to use your GPS watch on a treadmill or indoor track during the winter months, it's a must have. Garmin Foot Pod

I purchased this unit with the intention of using it on my elliptical trainer during those times when it was too late or too wet/windy to walk/jog outside. My Forerunner 305 already accurately records distance and speed without the Foot Pod as long as I'm outside (my preferred method of exercise), and the cadence tracking capability was not all that important to me (I'm an old man, not an athlete in training). It took several iterations to make this gizmo work with the elliptical trainer (Schwinn 430), but I did finally get it to work. I was able to get it to match the cadence, distance, speed and calories expended, to within just a few percent. Unfortunately, the cam mechanism I designed to make the foot pod think I was wearing it on my shoe while running, made enough noise to make my spouse agitated, and therefore rendered my solution impractical. I have replaced my "elliptical trainer solution" with a Garmin bicycle cadence sensor (non contact and therefore totally silent). So now that I already own it, I clip on the Foot pod for my outdoor activities (which is what it is designed for), and it does add one more set of data points for me to use, which I now admit is helpful (cadence). I have used it on a tread mill (Cardiac rehabilitation after the second heart attack), and it works quite well. If I was a hard core runner, this would be a "must have item". In my opinion this little gadget (at more than $80 after shipping) isn't worth the expense unless you are using it indoors to assist in recording data on a tread mill. It is well built and easy to clip on your shoe laces. The instruction manual that come with it is next to useless, but it is a simple enough to use without much instruction if you are not too picky about getting very precise data output (us engineer types are never satisfied with the data we are given!). I would recommend this product to an athlete in training, or to someone who spends a lot of time on a tread mill.

I bought this foot pod to use with my Forerunner 50. The 010-11092-00 is the latest model sometimes listed as SDM4 (ANT+) and is quite small; barely bigger than the CR2032 3V Lithium battery that powers it. It easily "paired" with my Forerunner. What was most impressive was the distance recorded on my first use (w/o calibration) was exactly the distance I had recorded previously with a GPS device. From what I have read the pod accelerometers sense and compensate for stride and speed differences...pretty amazing.

[...]

I bought this to go with my Garmin 405 purchased earlier this year. I love the watch w HR monitor... it has completely changed the way I plan my runs, that is I do not have to plan them out by driving a route in my car with the trip meter going, and then forget the route halfway through my run. Plus its a lot of fun to be able to come home and look at all of the data that was downloaded including the map of my run. When the temperature started to get super hot and humid this summer, I unfortunately had to switch to mainly treadmill running. After getting my 405, it seemed like more of a pain keeping track of my training manually (I know I know, I never had an issue with it before but I guess I am spoiled now). Anyways, on to the foot pod. It did not take me long after returning to treadmill running to determine that I really wanted the foot pod.

I read a ton of Amazon reviews before purchasing, and all I have to say is I love it. Its extremely accurate. I did not calibrate it before my 1st attempt because I wanted to see how it started out. After the 1st 4 miles it was off from what the treadmill readout behind 0.02. Next attempt, ahead by about 0.01 after 4 miles. Also seems accurate from the indoor track I use sometimes. Keep in mind that the treadmill might also be off this amount and the foot pod more accurate. Needless to say I will just leave it with factory setting.

I had read a couple of reviews that mentioned it coming out of laces while running. To this I say... USER ERROR. It may 1st seem that the foot pod is all one piece, but if you look at it from bottom or side you can tell that there is a clip on the bottom. The first time I tried to remove the clip, I was a little nervous I would break it, but did not. Very easy to put on laces.

Some other users also mentioned battery problems. I have been using mine for about a month now with no issues.

The first time you use it make sure you check your settings on your Garmin watch so that it doesn't search for satellite and knows to get data from the food pod. Also when you get into training mode, the watch detects your HR monitor first then about 5-10 seconds later the foot pod.

Overall great product that I would recommend to anyone who runs on a regular basis. - Distance - Cadence - Running - Garmin'

Battery Charger - battery charger, battery

Another dead battery. Wall charger. Extended charge. One star for my mistake.

Lithium,Big$$ Here I Come.

From other reviewer:

The one thing I don't think is that great about this product has to do with charging, specifically overcharging. I learned this one the hard way. I had the basic charger, and it worked just fine. At some point I had a battery in the charger for an extended period of time--I just plain forgot--and it went maybe a week or so plugged in. Well, that killed both the battery and the charger, an expensive set to replace. I learned about this only after I went online to find out what had happened. Was that in the owner's manual? Maybe. I can't tell you as I've lost it, so maybe it's my own fault. But buyer/user beware: charge your battery and then unplug both the charger from the wall and the battery from the charger right away, or you'll be buying yourself a new set of both. One star for inherent charging conditions not being observed. And PRICE$$$$ Not Again! Skil 180BAT 18-Volt NiCad Pod Style Battery Pack

Bought this battery with the 'new and improved' charger. Worked for about 5 hours with the recommended 3 hour charge, but died when I left it on the charger for a week. WEAK is all I can say. Now I have 2 dead batteries and 2 battery killing chargers.

This replacement battery is just what I needed for a Skil Cordless drill that I bought on special at Lowe's last year. The replacement battery almost cost as much as the drill (approx. $50 for the drill and $40 for the battery), but it does the job. I'm happy with the drill and the battery!

I looked for a replacement battery pack for my drill in our small town and did not finding any. Even at the store where I purchased it a year ago and the local home improvement store. I even looked in Corpus Christi. Then I went on Amazon.com and found exactly the one I needed and at a good price too! And with no shipping! It was shipped immediately. Wish I had used this method of shopping first. Drill works fine with its new battery pack. Thanks Amazon.com. - Cordless Drill - Battery - Skil - Battery Charger'

Blu-ray 3d

I had a very unusual experience seeing this movie in theaters.

I watched it, I had a great time, I laughed, cheered, was thrilled, and the moment the credits started to roll the people in the row behind me IMMEDIATELY started spouting off how much they HATED it. I was flabbergasted. I was sorely tempted to turn around and ask them if we even just saw the same movie? How could anyone hate something that's so much FUN?!

But after thinking about it, I could see actually why they didn't get into it. Cars 2 is the first Pixar movie where you really have to 'get the joke' of the premise, or the whole thing falls apart like a house of cards. What this movie is, is the best James Bond movie of the last 15 years (not counting Casino Royale which transcends Bond movies to be just a great spy movie), with a bit of The Accidental Spy thrown in.

I LOVE Bond movies. The crazy opening sequences, the insane gadgets, the quippy lines. And Cars 2 hit pitch perfect parodies of every Bond standard. But you could never say of any Bond movie that it's got a deep emotional core, that's not how they're made. They're made to be balls to the wall fun and thrills, and that's what this movie is. Which of course makes it the polar opposite of the original Cars. It could hardly be more different.

If you get the joke, that this is a James Bond movie with cars, it's a riot. Loads of fun. It's not deep, it's not going to tug at your heart strings, it will not make your mother cry three or four times (as virtually ever Pixar movie ever made prior has done to my mother, I take her to Pixar movies with a bucket). It's just riotous fun. And I'm amazed that people are punishing Pixar for making a movie that's just pure fun. Granted Pixar is famous for it's deep emotional stories, and I suppose people expect that sort of thing every time. Even if you make a fun and entertaining movie, if you don't do what people expect, they bite your head off for it.

I went in with few expectations cause the early reviews bashed it to pieces, and I was frankly not that big a fan of the original movie. In the first Cars McQueen spends an enormous amount of the movie whining, and I found him generally unlikeable until fully halfway through the movie. It was a good movie, with a lot of heart and a message, but not one I would describe as a lot of FUN. Mater especially, a little of him went a long way in the first movie, and I was really worried about him being the star of this movie, because if a little of him annoyed me in the first movie, this one has 10 times more of him.

And yet, he actually annoyed me LESS this time around, cause he had something to do instead of just hanging around being Mater. They struck a perfect balance in his 'mater-ness' where the Accidental Spy nature of his story is charming instead of just annoying. And even more to my amazement, Mater's unique perspective DOES actually help solve the mystery. He's not just a bumbling idiot gumming up the works, he does actually help.

I was also constantly amused at the imagination that went into Cars-ifying the world. Even little touches like the swanky party in Towkyo (not a typo! ha!), the elevators are giant pistons that come out of the floor. I didn't expect it at all but once I saw it was it was so perfect.

To sum up, I have to say, I enjoyed this movie MORE than the original Cars. Yet at the same time I'll fully agree that the original is a technically superior film in writing and character, but Cars 2 is way more fun. If you go into this with the right attitude, that you're seeing a James Bond movie with Cars, that it's meant to be pure fun and embrace it on that level, there's a lot to love.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it IS shallow. I won't say it's a perfect film on every level cause it's not. But it doesn't deserve the hate it's getting, it's just a fun movie, and there's nothing wrong with that. If it doesn't quite transcend to the levels of brilliance of The Incredibles or Wall:E, that doesn't make it BAD, it suffers only in comparison to other Pixar work, compared to anything else, it rocks. :) Cars 2 (Five-Disc Combo: Blu-ray 3D / Blu-ray / DVD / Digital Copy)

I took my two year old son to Cars 2 as his first movie. We were so excited because Cars was his favorite movie and we all had been looking forward to seeing our first movie together as a family in the theater. Well, it started off decently but a bit violent. I am not one of those "opposed to all violence in movies and tv" kind of people but for a disney pixar movie clearly for very young kids, it was a bit much. My son was also disappointed that this movie was Mater-centric as he loved "Lightening McQueen" so much. Although my son is only two and didn't understand the plot, my wife and I were very angry. We are both tired of Hollywood pushing their far left agenda in movies and tv and pushing it so hard in a popular children's movie was too much for us. Fossil fuels and oil companies are not evil and "ethanol" is costly to our food supply and ineffective. I think there are some good forms of alternative energy and it is necessary for us to explore these options, but I digress. This movie portrays the oil industry as thugs and assassins and sends a bad message to kids. Hollywood, we are tired of it. Stop the lies and the spreading of your radical left agenda. Leave our kids alone. I am quite the DVD/Blu-Ray collector and this is one film I refuse to buy.

My son is 2 1/2 years old and loved both Cars and Cars 2. The naysayers, while entitled to their opinions, should probably have gone to the movies with a more light-hearted attitude. While my son did get up halfway through for a potty break, he thoroughly enjoyed this movie to the point that he has seen it four times. Granted, I would not have paid for him to see it four times, as I had movie passes from Toys 'R Us, but I definitely would have paid to take him more than once.

I agree with some of the warnings -- the crushing or exploding of some "good guys" and the lack of character development (I would have liked to know a little more about the other race cars that every toy store is selling in abundance). I do not agree, however, with those individuals who said it was boring or a flop. It is a spoof of Bond movies, with a perspective that kids can enjoy. I would recommend giving it a chance, especially if you have a child that loves all Disney films like my child.'

Wandas Evil Scheme - white board, dryerase

I spent 10 years teaching in a blackboard and chalk environment, but I changed jobs several years ago and I've been teaching in a whiteboard and dry erase marker world ever since.

I have to admit that I was hesitant to make the switch - people don't like change, but I've come to appreciate the increased flexibility that dry erase markers can give.

I routinely use 5 or more different colors of markers in my zoology courses (black, red, green, blue, orange, and sometimes others), and I've been particularly pleased with Expo Dry Erase Markers.

I find these markers to have brilliant colors, I quite like the orange ones :-)

Of course, no marker lasts forever, and like any marker, once these start to run out or the tip dries out it's a gonner. Until then though they work great.

Likes:

- I like the fact that you can tell when the pen cap is firmly seated - a must for lengthening marker life

- I also like how the pen cap fits easily and securely into the opposite end of the marker so you don't lose it while you are writing.

- I like that fact that the color of ink in the marker is clearly indicated on the pen body.

Dislikes:

- The chisel-point tip on these markers is too fine. When a marker is brand new you have plenty of ink, but because the ink tip is so fine you have to hold the pen at a particular angle to get a wide enough like to make a bold mark that is wide enough for students at the back of a 100-seat lecture hall to see. Then by the time the pen nib gets into a workable shape to produce a nice heavy line every time you shortly run out of ink.

All in all, these are very good pens, but not without some minor issues, thus 4 stars for teaching. These would be worthy of 5 stars if they were used only for personal in-home white message board use.

I hope this was helpful.

Write-on! Expo 7-Piece Original Dry Erase Organizer Kit

The markers are dark and clearly visible, while the eraser is fairly thorough. The box comes with a plastic-molded container (as you see in the picture), with double-sided tape for easy, stable, mounting on a wall beside the whiteboard. For the low price, this is unbeatable.

They write consistantly well. Seem to last fairly long. The price is good. The eraser works as well as most other dry erase markers.

They got here fast...

I'm not sure what else to say about dry erase markers...

I use these for whiteboard teaching presentations. I love having the additional colors of Orange and Brown to the standard primary colors.

If you do any sort of technical presentation where having multiple colors is useful, this is a great purchase. I've been using EXPO markers for many years and they've never let me down. Good quality markers at a reasonable price shipped free; there's no down side to buying these.

i've been using these for a couple of weeks. At first they worked out great. Now the ones that I've used for a couple weeks aren't working so well. And whereas at first it was easy to erase the markings, now it's much harder. The ones that I've used for a couple of weeks are harder to write with and much, much harder to erase.

I understand that felt markers don't last forever, but it's only been a couple weeks.

I put this up in my room next to my whiteboard. The adhesive is small, so I had to reinforce it, but other than that the markers are new and the eraser is of decent quality. Cant beat it for the price! - White Board - Dry Erase - Dryerase - Boards'

Toy Camera - lomography, diana

this is a 'TOY CAMERA' and it shoots 35mm film. make no mistake about it.

if you want perfect predictable photos, stick to digital.

if a bit of unintentional blur pisses you off, stick to digital.

if you think loading and unloading film is cumbersome, stick to digital.

with that being said, this is a fantastic plastic TLR toy camera. it comes with 2 frame masks: a standard 35mm film format and a square format frame. You can even remove the mask entirely to expose the entire width of the film, including the side sprocket holes.

the viewfinder takes a bit of getting used to, as it's smaller than most other TLR viewfinders. i've shot 2 rolls of film, and my images are actually sharper than i hoped they would be.

i lucked out when i purchased my BBF because i had some amazon gift cards left over from Xmas. the blackbird fly gets 4 stars due to the steep price point (it's an import). i do think it is a bit expensive for a toy camera... Blackbird Fly 35mm TLR Twin Lens Reflex Camera - Black with Orange Face

Background: My experience is as a professional photographer and designer with more than 20 years of experience, and a lot of experience with "toy cameras". The "toy" camera movement (Diana, and Holga) is a well established avenue of art photography as well as just plain fun photography. Using cheap simple cameras with fuzzy lenses one can create some absolutely beautiful images. I've spent a lot of time working with Holgas (I have 4) and Hasselblads ( I have 2). Each of my Holgas were acquired for $15 or less... new. The most expensive accessory was a polaroid back that is remarkable and great to use. I started working in medium format with a Yashicamat 124G which i still have and cherish. If you are looking to get into medium format the Yashicamat is a great place to start and you can find them cheap on ebay. I love TLR and vertical view cameras because of the ground glass "backwards" viewers and their square format. Once you get used to that kind of set up you will always want such a viewfinder.

that viewfinder is what caught my eye when I saw the Blackbird... along with the nice styling, great colors, and good feel of the plastic.

REVIEW: there's a lot that is lacking in the experience of using this camera. The blackbird's viewfinder is not ground glass, it's a quasi optical finder with mirror. This kind of finder one can also see on old Argus TLRs (also available on ebay for cheap). But the viewfinder of the Blackbird is really messed up and hard to see through. If this camera cost $15 or $25 I'd consider it, but it's not. No one should pay over $100 for a camera like this, it's just not worth it and this ridiculous price flies in the face of the "toy" camera movement. People bought the holga and the diana because they were cheap AND they made interesting images.

Overall the controls of the Blackbird are fine. They give you a very good range of manual focus from 0.8 meters to infinity. The shutter is smooth and crisp. The overall look and feel of the camera is very nice. (not $120 nice, more like $20 nice!)

For those who want to get into medium format cameras, forget about this one. The film format is 35mm and the viewfinder sucks. If you want to do 35mm toy camera work there are a lot of toy 35mm cameras out there that will be easier and more fun to use. Medium format does make a difference and having a good clear way to frame a photo means a lot to getting a good composition - even in toy cam land.

I did not buy one of these partly because I have not seen one cheap enough yet. I tried out a Blackbird that was loaned to me for evaluation. If I ever find an orange version of the blackbird selling for under $25 I'll very likely pick one up for myself, but it will be with some reservations. And aside from the bad viewfinder the other reservations are due to the 35mm film format. Yes I understand you can get this processed at a lot of places. And yes I get that you can use frame inserts to change the format from beyond 35mm to a cropped 24mm square, but that's not going to yield the same kind of results I would get from my holga shooting fuji instant film or 120 film. The holga also allows the photographer to use external flash and/or studio strobes. The holga is not as designery cute as the Blackbird, but if you want really cute there are a lot of old cameras on ebay that are seriously cute, seriously cheap, and which will be a lot more fun to use. Look for an old Argus, Voigtlander, and Yashica.

I have two of these cameras, and I've taken some cool pics with them. HOWEVER, it comes at a price - both have started scratching the **** out of my film, and I can't figure out why. Also, rewind can jam up on you leaving you with one alternative - open the camera, expose the film, and start over.

This camera is based on a great concept - too bad the quality is so dang terrible.

It was the ideal 35mm TLR that I could find. I didn't want to pay 300 for a lubitel and didnt feel like modifying a seagull to suit my needs. This camera was the perfect match. Although the construction could've been much better for the price, I am satisfied with it. Takes great pictures.

SO not worth $100+. I received this camera in a "goody bag" on a recent trip to Japan. It's a great toy camera, but I would only pay $50 or so for it. It's cute, kitchy, and well designed. But it is entirely made of plastic. There is a lot of blur and I believe it is not only due to the plastic lens but that the camera is so lite. When you release the shutter the entire camera moves (!)

If you are a fan of toy cameras, enjoy. But be aware, in no way is this camera a good student camera or introduction to medium format. Buy a used YashicaMat or related camera if that's what you are looking for. Yes, a basic tlr will cost you $300 used in good condition, but if you buy this "bbf" (black bird fly) you'll spend <$100 and will have no guarantee how long it will last until one of the plastic parts breaks.

Do understand, I am a fan of toy/pinhole cameras, just not at this price point.

cheers... - Fly - Diana - Holga - Lomography'

Best Dress Sock - best dress sock, hanes

If you were previously a briefs wearer before trying out these Comfortsoft Hanes Boxerbriefs, I can see why you may be fussy about the "support" in your underwear products; but for Boxer Shorts wearers wanting to snuggly fit into tighter jeans without the over-supportive feel- or (with boxers) the sudden bagging up, Hanes has found a way to make boxer briefs more boxer than briefs. In addition these are great for saggers, and make your butt more fluently attractive to the ladies without feeling like you're dressed for a WWE wrestling match. The reason why the price is so low is that Hanes is practically the highest selling underwear, t-shirt and clothing brand in the World.

However if you're looking for support:

Medium Support (Support with comfort):

2xist

C-IN2

Firm Support:

Calvin Klein

Puma Hanes ComfortSoft Boxer Brief (Pack of 4) - Medium, Assorted Colors

The whole point of boxer briefs is to offer support and comfort while staying in place. Hanes products only do this for a short period of time before the legs become loose and the boxer briefs turn into regular boxers. I got so tired of this problem that I just bought all boxers because there was no point in wearing boxer briefs anymore. I would recommend boxer briefs made by Old Navy, Under Armour, and Nautica over Hanes. You may pay a bit more, but it's worth it.

I concur with the other reviewer, the legs on these become loose very quickly. I noticed it after only two washings and one wearing. I'm going to hold on to mine, because they are fine for "looser" work clothing, but I'm looking for another brand for "going out" wear.

There's a difference in quality depending on color. The black ones are nice, thick, last long and doesn't get loose during use! The other colors however, seems to be produced in a different manner and gets loose during the day and stays loose after multiple uses. If Hanes sold just the black ones, I'd pay extra for them. Plus, the black ones look the best by far. It's hard to find a good pair of boxer briefs :o(

The ComfortSoft waistband is nice also, which I have not found an equal for. Other types or brands have that usual elastic waistband, that doesn't look nearly as nice.

Hanes, please sell packs of all Black Boxer Briefs for cheap! Otherwise, please some other company do it!!

I ordered these Boxer Briefs last year on Amazon.com and I just re-ordered some more because they are really comfortable and do "their job". I have big legs and these Boxer Briefs are just the right fit.

My husband is in Iraq and I had these shipped directly to him. I asked him about them the other days and he said he "loves 'em" Colors were good (and manly) and they're super comfy. Thanks for "supporting my troop" :)

These are my favorite type of Boxer Briefs. The waistband is smooth and one piece with the rest of the trunks, hardly a seam at all. The tag information is just printed on the trunks too, keeping the amount of uncomfortable itchy things to an absolute minimum. I order a package every month because I just can't have enough colors of these.

The boxers are decent. The cut is okay. I ordered the size corresponding to my waist but they are still slightly big on me. I prefer a tighter fit. Still, they look okay.

I do like them better than http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000PHOGRQ/ref=cm_cr_mts_prod_img though. - Best Dress Sock - Boxer - Hanes - Underwear'

They not only fell apart after 3 days, but the metal part on the inside of the bud which is supposed to protect your eardrum, actually came off and cut the inside of my ear! I should really sue, Amazon you should be ashamed of yourselves letting shady dealers such as BrilliantStore sell on your site.

Only buy if you want to flush your $6 down the toilet, or you could just give it to me, either way you arent going to be happy you bought this completely useless product. I tried to give this no stars but it wont let me. Stereo Earbud Headphone for Apple iPod nano/ iPod mini/ iPod video/ iPod shuffle

When you order this item from BrilliantStore you get a different headphone then in the pictures.

The version they send comes with a cable saver in the middle. The cord is really short so you always have this heavy piece of plastic hanging between your ears and the ipod. Also when you receive the headphone the left and right ear cable are still attached to each other. When you want to wear it you have to pull the 2 cables apart. After you have done this the cable saver will no longer properly retract.

I know it is cheap but I can guarantee you that after a few days you will end up buying another headphone.

These are NOT the original apple earbuds but rather a cheap Imitation with high noise levels. What's more if 4.99 shipping, and if you buy several sets they will charge you shipping for EACH and then package it together. Nothing but a bad ripoff, be warned!

The item that is given to you is not at all what the picture is. You expect the quality iPod earphones, but what you get are cheap imitations. For $5, it's definitely worth it, but with the shipping, it costs nearly $10. I never used the earphones because they were terrible and fell apart the next day. I never bothered returning them because they aren't worth my time.

If you want cheap, temporary earphones, I don't even suggest this. There are much better earphones that cost about the same for a better quality.

I replaced these earbuds because they are weak-sounding. These OEM Apple earbuds came with the 60gb video iPod I purchased in the summer of 2006. The OEM earbud wire actually broke physically (I like to wrap the headphone wire vertically around the iPod, with the plug in the jack, when I'm not using it) and I decided to upgrade to an aftermarket pair both for physical durability and enhanced sonic quality. Let's be clear from the start: If you're listening to music on an iPod, we're NOT talking Hi-Fi to begin with, which I'm sure all you audiophiles out there already know but I just want to clarify this from the outset. That said, for the quality of reproduction you should expect from an iPod, you don't want your earphones to detract even further!

I recorded just about all (more than 95%) of my music into iTunes from my CD collection rather than buying it online from the iTunes store. Mostly I listen to rock, but also classical, jazz, opera and country, and I keep my iPod equalizer setting on "Rock" almost all the time. Usually I listen sitting on a train on my 2-hour commute to and from work weekdays. I reviewed all of the earbuds in this review on that setting. Also, I purchased all of these at the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City, which is a pretty cool place to go in and join the "buzz" [and which I have no affiliation with].

Apple OEM earbuds: I purchased these with the iPod in July 2006, replacement price $29 from Apple's website; Sound quality: 4 out of 10 [with 0 being "does not reproduce sound" and 10 being the "best" I think one could expect from earbuds with an iPod] -- poor bass response in real-life. In-ear fit: 4 out of 10 -- hard plastic discs stay in the outer ear canal generally but are not "snug", this lack of direct ear canal pressure detracts from lower-frequency reproduction ability. Durability: 3 out of 10 -- OK, maybe I shouldn't wrap the wire around the iPod, but I do... the stress that induced on the main wire at the jack caused the wire to break off after 5 months.

Senheisser Style OMX 90 earbuds: I purchased these in December 2006 for $89.95; sound quality: 5 out of 10 -- part of the reason I bought these is they were the only pair I could find with performance specifications listed on or in the package, I think they were claiming 19Hz-22kHz and 115dB, which looks pretty darn good on paper. Unfortunately, these, like the Apple OEM buds, are not snug in the ear canal so suffer from poor low-frequency response in real-life. In-ear fit: 2 out of 10 -- Jeez these looked cool, with their over-ear "eyeglasses" style clips I thought they'd be great, like the B&O A8s which I'd never tried but look so cool and cost twice as much and after all, they ARE Sennheisers, which I've had real cans by for my home stereo for decades and sound great... but when I actually used them they basically hung on my ears and flopped around in my ear canals more than the Apple OEM buds ever did. Durability: I can't really say because after a week I replaced them with the Bose Triports. These were the only buds with a volume control built in to the wire; I guess I liked this but in retrospect it just seems like a marketing gimmick -- I can just as easily adjust the volume on the iPod, so why bother with additional hardware (and weight) on my wires?

Bose Triport in-ear Headphones: I purchased these in December 2006 for $99.95; sound quality: 7 out of 10 -- I bought these to replace the Sennheisers and they were a HUGE improvement mainly (as far as I can tell) because of the anatomically-molded silicone ear canal inserts. These provide a snug in-ear fit which leads to vastly improved frequency response across the spectrum but most noticably in the bass frequencies. Unfortunately the bass response is actually muddy! I could improve this somewhat by switching from "Rock" to "Bass Reducer" on my iPod equalizer settings, but even so these always sounded muddy to me in the low frequencies... that said, MUCH better overall than the Apples and the Sennheisers. In-ear fit: 9 out of 10 -- these are fantastic, with 3 pairs of silicone inserts, large medium and small, should fit 99% of all listeners better than just about anything else available. Durability: 5 out of 10 -- Unfortunately, the wonderful silicone inserts do not stay attached to the plastic earbuds so I'd recommend if you like these that you purchase a case of the size you like; if you're like me, you'll lose a pair a month, on average.

Sure E3C-N (black) Headphones: I purchased these in April 2007 for $179.95, to replace the Bose Triports; this is a bit unfair since on a dollar basis I should be reviewing the Sure E2Cs, which cost $99.95 (similar to my other aftermarket buds), but in the end I decided perhaps you get what you pay for with earbuds and decided to double my budget for this set. Sound quality: 9 out of 10 -- much more even frequency distribution than the others, and smooth bass response unlike the Bose Triports. Also these are more efficient than any of the others, with iPod volume settings around 50% giving similar dBs in my ear as when I used the Triports on 85% and the Sennheisers on 100%. Crisp, clear sound all the way up to 100% on my iPod volume settings. In-ear fit: 7 out of 10 -- These buds come with a variety of size and composition inserts -- I use the small silicone symmetric hemispherical buds, which fit best for me, though they are less perfect than the ergonomic silicone inserts that come with the Triports. If you don't select the right size for your ear canal, the Sure inserts can begin to work loose (not as bad as the OEM Apples or the shaky Sennheisers) if you start to, say, walk; or chew. This is fairly irritating since when they're snug in-ear they sound really great (and you should insert them pretty far into your ear canal, pulling back on the ear as you insert them). Durability: I've only had them about a month, so hard to say, but the rubber inserts don't fall off the plastic part of the buds easily the way the Triports suffer; also the wires are about twice the diameter of the others in this review (which might also account for some of the better sonic efficiency), so I expect them to last longer physically than any of the others. - Apple - Ipod Headphones - Ipod - Earphones'
