Courtroom Drama - crime drama, comedy films

"Find Me Guilty" is a comedic take on what was at the time the longest criminal trial in American history, the 1987-1988 trial of 20 members of the New Jersey Lucchese crime family on 76 charges under the RICO Act. Most of the courtroom testimony is taken from the real trial transcripts. The film focuses on Giacomo "Jackie" DiNorscio (Vin Diesel), called "Fat Jack" in real life, who, frustrated with his lawyer, insists on representing himself. Jackie is already serving a 30-year prison sentence for narcotics distribution, so the outcome of this trial is somewhat academic to him. Prosecutor Sean Kierney (Linus Roache) offers him a reduction in his current sentence in exchange for testimony at the RICO trial, but Jackie refuses to rat out his friends. Untrained in the law, Jackie's only defense is to make the jury like him more than they like the prosecutors. "A laughing jury is never a hanging jury," says defense attorney Ben Klandis (Peter Dinklage). "I'm not a gangster. I'm a gagster," says Jackie. And he puts on quite a show over the course of the 21-month trial.

"Find Me Guilty" does make light of Jackie's crimes, presenting him as a loyal, affable guy. It could hardly do otherwise, since Jackie made light of them, and he seems to have been a loyal, affable criminal. (Giacomo DiNorscio died while this movie was being filmed.) This obviously isn't a catalog of the Lucchese family's misdeeds. There were some very disreputable people on trial whose victims were not limited to their fellow Mafioso. "Find Me Guilty" is about Jackie's role in this long, remarkable trial. Vin Diesel does the best work of his career thus far. Perhaps due to his laconic, tough-guy image, Diesel can play Jackie's silliness, foolishness, and melodrama without the audience losing sight of his hoodlum toughness. He's a big presence that carries the film through courtroom testimony that might otherwise be tedious. DiNorscio is an interesting character, whose conviction that he must love his mob family, and they must love him, carried him through the trial and many years in prison. "Find Me Guilty"'s comedic approach to courtroom and mafia dramas is new and entertaining.

The DVD (20th Century Fox 2006): "A Conversation with Sidney Lumet" (5 min) is a series of snippets in which director Lumet talks about meeting the real Jackie DiNorscio, Jackie's motives, and authenticity in the film. There is a theatrical trailer (2 ½ min) and 3 television spots for the film (30 sec. each), as well as a trailer for the 1992 movie "My Cousin Vinny" (1 ½ min). Subtitles for the film are available in English and Spanish. Find Me Guilty

Fans of "The Sopranos", "Goodfellas", Mafia and courtroom flicks will enjoy this fact-based (but probably not completely factual) look at the lengthiest RICO trail in American history starring Vin Diesel and directed by octogenarian Sidney Lumet.

Diesel plays New Jersey mobster Jack DiNorscio defending himself in the longest Mafia trial in U.S. history. Diesel is effective in the role as a disruptive force in judge Ron Silver's court. Alex Rocco, a Mafioso going back to "The Godfather" and through roles he played in TV's "Kojak", is the ring leader in the trial and the main guy the feds are after. Why DiNorscio became the focus of this movie is a question looking for an answer.

In any event, the courtroom "drama" is unlike most of what you see in this kind of movie. Diesel's character is uneducated, has little or no knowledge of courtroom requirements or decorum, and shows these shortcomings regularly through his inappropriate and often unbearable behavior as a litigator.

The other gangsters on trial turn against him after they come to view him as a force out for himself. Prosecutors too see him as a hazard insofar as his comedy act seems to appeal to jurors. True or not, you've probably never seen an attorney ask these kind of questions in court!

Ironically, the film lionizes DiNorscio as a heroic figure that carries out the Mafia credo of not ratting out a brother. Throughout the film he protests his love for his Cosa Nostra brethren, even when they are working against him, and continually states his case against being a rat. This, to me, was the principal theme of the film -- that this lowlife gangster was somehow a hero. The outcome of the movie seems also to support that view.

Several bit players from "The Sopranos", including Junior Soprano's lawyer and one of Tony Soprano's dead love interests, fill out the supporting cast in this New York production. This flick is probably at the level of "The Valachi Papers" but with a far different perspective. It has little of the sizzle of "Goodfellas" but is interesting in its courtroom scenes, where much of the script allegedly mimicked the real trial the went on for more than 500 days.

So fans of gangster and courtroom flicks can cast aside any doubt and go for this movie, which is probably the best characterization Vin Diesel has put on so far. He deservedly wasn't nominated for any awards for this but it shows he can do a bit more than simply play Vin Diesel on screen.

Vin Diesel plays Giacomo "Jackie Dee" DiNorscio, who in a strange turn of events defended himself in a Gangland Rico trial, that was the longest trial in US history. You can not tell if he is acting or joking thru is role

Sisney Lumet who directed Network, Dog Day Afternoon, The Verdict and 12 Angry Men seems weak in this drama/comedy. He has made the courtroom seem so close and tight, you feel you need a breath of air every ten minutes.

I will say Lumet stocked the deck with great stock actors like Ron Silver (as a no nonsense, by the book judge), Peter Dinklage (as a defense attorney), Alex Rocco, and (the too short a role that needed to be padded) Annabella Sciorra. I just wish the script and direction was as good as the actors

This drama/comedy is strong of humor and weak on dramatic moments. One of the worst when the Judge tells Jackie he lost his mother is so weak for the acting timbers of Diesel and Silver. Lumet seem to have lacked pacing and direction in this film. This film could have been a great film, but it was not.

I give it 3 stars for the acting, it is worth it for that

Ipad Leather Case - apple ipad, price gouging

The official Apple iPad Case is beautifully constructed. It is made of a very soft material but still sturdy. The iPad sits securely and tightly in place. The cover bends back easily and you can even prop it up at an angle just by inserting the cover into a flap on the back. The holes for the power, dock port, volume and headphones are perfect - no overlapping. I don't have to worry about scratching the front or back of my iPad when carrying or laying it around. I only wished that it had a clear plastic insert attached inside to cover the face of the iPad for added protection from scratches and fingerprints when the iPad is in use. The case is also easy to clean. I used a wet cloth to wipe away some food I accidentally sat the case on and it came out looking new again.

One bit of advance. Apple recommends to occasionally remove the iPad from any kind of case when charging. The case may overheat the iPad and cause a shorter battery life.

At the time of this review, a third party seller is selling it way above the suggested retail price. I purchased it directly from Apple for under $40. There is no shortage supply so there is no reason to be selling it at such an inflated price ($94).

UPDATE 08/17/2010: I see the 3rd party seller is now offering your order to be fulfilled by Amazon (w/Prime shipping) at a more reasonable price, but it still does not beat the price of getting it directly from Apple. Apple iPad Case (CASE-ZML MC361ZM/B)

It's a nice case and allows for the iPad to be propped up at different angles on flat surface for viewing (touching the screen without holding it at upright angles will knock it over unless you're very gentle). The case is very sleek looking and stylish, but the rubber it's made out of is very rough on your skin. The edges are especially rough and will eventually make it uncomfortable to hold since it will start to wear away and cut into your skin. After a few days of using it, I couldn't stand to keep my iPad in it permanently anymore and will only be using it for when I take the iPad out of the house for protection.

This is by far the best case available for the iPad yet. I've read some of the complaints. I've had no trouble keeping my case clean and I don't find the edges sharp at all. It's the only pad that I tried that does not add a huge amount of extra bulk or weight to it. It's sleek, form fitting, and protects the screen when I'm carrying it around. This case holds the iPad very snug. Is it perfect? No. But for now it's the best one on the market & I'm glad I was finally able to grab one.

After all of the hype about this case and it always being out of stock, I finally lucked out and got one of two left from one of the Apple stores here in Denver.

If there had not been so much hype, I may have liked this more, but overall, I was not impressed with this case.

The case is flimsy and gets dirty and scuffed up really quickly. The microfiber seems to attract and hold dirt and scuff marks.

If you plan on removing your iPad from the case, which I prefer to do at times, you'll have to give it a good fight to remove it from within the case. It's incredibly difficult to do. The iPad is so beautiful and artistically crafted, I don't want to always have it all covered up inside the case, so this became a huge problem.

Also, supposedly this case allows you to stand the iPad up in the optional charging cradle/dock that you can buy for the iPad, but the iPad needed about another 1/4 inch to be able to recognize that it was docked. So I was never able to get it to dock with the optional cradle while in this case - despite what they may claim at the Apple store.

What I DID like about this was that it could stand up in landscape mode in two different positions and angles while in the case, which was nice. Standing up vertically was a bit wobbly and I didn't feel comfortable leaving it that way. I'm not sure it was advertised to do this, so I didn't ding the review rating for that.

My goal now is to find something more durable and protecting of the iPad, which will hold the iPad at different viewing angles, and most importantly, will allow quick removal of the iPad when I want to enjoy it in all it's glory. :)

Been fighting getting this case for sometime, I have always thought of it as one of the worst thing Apple could make, till I tried it on a trip for writing. Turns out it was the best case I ever tried, and I tried so many.

If you have a lot of writing to do on your iPad I highly recommend this case, I don't think anyone made any case that even comes close to what it can do.

I give this product 2 stars because it is thin and works well as a stand. The problem is the sharp weld that goes around the entire edge which digs into one's hands. There is simply no comfortable way to hold an iPad in this case. I can still feel the indentation in my hand from holding it 15 minutes ago. The other problem is that it takes a major effort to remove the iPad from the case which eliminates the possibility switching between use with and without the case. Apple should never have approved this atrocity.

I spent $43.00 (with tax) for this at a local store and after 2 days of normal use in a normal home (2 people used it), it looked horrible. I returned it. It leaves fingerprints and smudge marks all over it's velour type finish and you could tell it's nothing more to 3 thin plastic sheets covered by a thin gray outer material that been glue pressed. This should cost $6.95, and even then I'd return it because it made my iPad look like it just came out of a dirt dumpster. I know why it's selling and at such a high price, it's because of that Apple logo on it - well, it's a shame. I bet if one placed an Apple logo on a quart bottle of used restaurant grease, people would knock each other down to pay $50.00 for it. Look at other cover/stands, but watch out for this cheap, ugly one for long, strong protection of you iPad. Apple iPad - good! Apple iPad cover - bad! - Price Gouging - Ipad - Apple Ipad - Case'

I bought the Columbia boot after slogging through the snow in an old pair of leaky boots that had lost traction long ago.

The boot is well made and exactly what I was looking for. It does run small so I needed to send the original pair, size 5.5 back for a size 6. As I read the reviews on Columbia boots, this seems to be a common theme so it's something to keep in mind when ordering. Columbia Sportswear Women's Slopeslide Omni-Heat Faux Fur Snow Boot,Fossil/Paradise Sky,5 M US

Received the boots and was happy with the construction and appearance. Seemed like they would be very warm and comfortable. I wear a women's 7.5 to 8. I ordered an 8. They were much too tight. When I tried to exchange them for an 8.5, that half size difference cost $20 more! I decided the boots were not worth the trouble of $20 extra dollars plus shipping and the time I would have to wait for them to arrive.

These boots were so cute! However they were too big and I had to return them. I'm always a 6 1/2 however these came and were a size to big. I would have ordered them again..but they didn't have my size.

I have received the same incorrect product twice as the size chart for Europe and UK is incorrect. I needed a size 5.5 which was a US 7.5 by the size chart but when i received them they were a size 6 which were far too big for me. I sent them back and requested a small size which i didn't get. Again i got a size 6. I still have no boots. The boots themselves looked lovely and the colour of them was really nice. - Suede - Lace-up - Faux Fur - Waterproof'

Woodworking - demel tool, cut

I mounted the saw on my proxxon micromot (basically a high-end dremel) for the first time, started it up, mandrel instantly bent to a right angle and I had a very scary saw blade going round and round on the end of the right angle mandrel. Very exciting. Took a look to see if I could have mismounted the blade offset. No. Threw the kit out. 5 Pcs. High Speed Steel Saw Blade w/ 2 Mandrels

Taking a gamble, I hoped these blades would assist me in cutting some pine I'm working with, but unfortunately after some time trying to cut through the 3/4" thick board the 2" blade cracked in two. I'm not an experienced woodworker, so I'll shoulder some of the fault on possibly bad technique. But I'm disappointed that not one hour in to using these blades I've already lost the largest one, which I needed. Of course this isn't the fault of the seller, but the manufacturer. The price listed here is by far the lowest I've seen on these blades, but with my experience today this is the most they're worth. So I am labeling these a 2 out of 5, currently.

Sketchy quality is what I should have expected from SE, but the thought of having a 2" free-saw for my Dremel was too tempting, so I ordered them anyway.

The arbor screw and the arbor hole are not the same size, and it does not self center, so there is no way to achieve balance in the mounted blade. It caused massive vibration at all but top speed and then would slow down and chatter at the slightest load.

Poorly designed and made product that I felt at risk when using.

Returned for refund.

To put it simply the arbor screw was to small . I looked around for one in my junk box. No luck, probably metric ? To say nothing obout the fact there is no gaurd . But I new that going in . My only course of action was to send it back . It would have been more logical to me if I could have had them send me a screw . But that was not an option. Your return policy is GREAT!!!!!!!

I have ordered this twice now, and both times I received 1 mandrel and 1 blade. Don't order if you want the 2 mandrels and 5 blades in the picture, as they won't ship it. Looking for a reputable company now. - Demel Tool - Rotary Tool Accessories - Dremel - Cut'

Iphone Fm Transmitter - ipod transmitter, ipod car kit

I give this a three mostly for the price the sound isnt great but decent for what you pay. I do like the fact that it is wireless so unless you are charging your ipod you dont need it pluged in. What I dont like about it is there are no buttons to pre-set so if you get static you have to fumble around til you find a clear station. If all you wanna do is listin to your ipod to and from work go ahead and get this but if you travel alot Id go with something else NEEWER Wireless FM Transmitter + Car Adapter Charger for iPod Touch, iPhone, Nano, Classic, + MORE! Charge your iPod / iPhone! 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 120GB, 160GB (**Remote Control NOT included**)

I bought this really not expecting much. It's dirt cheap, and goods this cheap tend to not be a quality product. What a surprise to see that this thing works better than my friends Belkin car adapter/mount for the iphone. Sound quality is just as good as i've heard on any other FM transmitter- not great, but if you care that much about sound quality, you'll need an audio input on your head unit. No FM modulator is gonna put out stellar sound, regardless of the price or quality of the product.

Overall, love it. It was cheap enough that even with expedited shipping it was still only ten bucks. Can't beat that deal!

I got this just before my road trip to Myrtle beach from NY. It gave some static in the beginning - probably due to noise in city area. But once I passed metro area, the source was very clear. Its easy to operate and the fun part is that it is wireless - you can pass it on to backseat people without worrying about any wires coming into play here. I really like this product and would recommend it to all. It is definitely worth its price.

Ok, so I'm a college freshman and my car is an '09 Nissan Versa which doesn;t have an Aux (which sucks but w/e). I have been looking for Fm transmitters for about 2 weeks and I really did not feel like paying $30+ for the ones at Walmart, Target, Radio Shack etc. Ebay was a little unreliable, so since I needed a book for classes that I was buying through Amazon I decided to look for one on here. I found this one and its AWESOME. I got it for under $10 bucks with shipping including and it works just fine. I got 4 days after ordering it and its great. The only thing is that it doesn't come with instructions but that is because all you have to do is plug it into your ipod touch or w/e you have and it turns on. I use 107.9FM and that takes me all the way from home to school and back. It might get a little static at some points but its not that bad. Hey for $10 bucks I'm not complaining. So I get to spend the $30+ I saved on something else for my touch. ^_^ Buy it, it is totally worth it.

I bought this to replace the cassette adapter I'd been using with my iPod in the car, but I never considered the other great benefits. Yes, it works in the car and because it's really small and portable, it fits easily inside my iPod carrying bag along with my other small accessories so wherever I take my iPod, I automatically have it too. It's nice to be able to offer my iPod for listening when riding in someone else's car or when using a rental car.

Where I live there are plenty of stations I can sync to and it's just a matter of setting the radio on an FM station of static (no programming) and setting the same station on the little transmitter. Immediately your iPod music comes out of the radio :). Some stations work better than others (i.e. less static) so I experimented until I found one that works both in town and out in the country where I live and will serve on my normal local travels. My car radio provides more presets than I need, so I set this station as one of them and can return to it easily as needed. I get better reception in the car if I leave it plugged in even if the iPod doesn't need charging.

Second, and this is huge, it works with other FM radios--not just in the car. I've synched with a good, clear station on my Bose radio in the house and unless the volume is really high, the sound is great for the classical music I play. If I turn it up too high, I can hear some static and the sound is too airy, but that's too high for my eardrums anyway.

I have a small sound dock in my kitchen for my iPod, but if I want to play it when guests are over or when I'm moving around the house a lot, the central location of the Bose radio works better. I lay the iPod with transmitter on the shelf above the radio (the transmitter won't let you get too far away from the radio) and it's like I have a Bose sound dock--not quite the same quality of sound but pretty good--and for practically nothing. Along those same lines, this means I can enjoy my iPod without earphones in a hotel room with no sound dock. How cool is that? It's not the best sound quality ever, but it's certainly good enough for traveling and background music during parties or housework. Best of all, I don't have to take my sound-dock with me in order to listen to my iPod in a hotel. That is even more important to me than being able to play the iPod in the car.

The unit comes with a remote, but I haven't used it so can't report on that. I can set the FM station right on the little transmitter with the up and down buttons and change music as desired directly on my iPod. I don't need another remote to keep track of and don't expect to be using it. It looks functional enough though.

I highly recommend this unit for use with an iPod for those times when an FM radio is available to provide you with a speaker.

Update 2/13/11: After further use, I've learned two more things. I was sewing the other night in a room that has only the worst ever FM radio that is so static'y I rarely listen to it. I used this transmitter and my iPod and was amazed at the sound--so much better than the radio itself has ever offered. I'm really sold on this thing for in the house. I have, however, found another unit that offers better sound in the car. It's corded so you don't have the flexibility of this unit, but I find the sound surprisingly good, even better than when playing a CD. I'm really hooked on both these gadgets. Grantwood Technology's FM Transmitter and Car Charger for iPhone 4, Including NEW Verizon iPhone 4, and iPhone 3G/3GS, iPod nano, iPod Classic, and iPod touch (Including NEWEST), and iPad, includes Grantwood Technology's Sticky Pad.

A word of caution, however. I ordered another one of these wireless units at a super cheap price as a backup, and find the quality of sound isn't nearly as good as the first, for which I paid a higher price (although still low). Don't know if there's a quality control problem or if the uber cheap ones are seconds or something. Worth considering, but I think worth trying regardless. The first one I ordered remains outstanding. - Ipod Transmitter - Iphone Fm Transmitter - Ipod Car Kit - Fm Transmitter'

National Geographic - coffee table book, photography

I love this series and normally give it a very wide berth and tend not to take it too seriously but rather regard it as a fun tool that provides a good starting off point. However, and with respect to the U.S. alone, the oversights are so glaring that I felt a need to add my two cents. When we're dealing with a country that in comparison with Europe and Asia that have two or three millennia's worth of history to draw back on, is so young that the TRULY historical places would seem obvious and somewhat limited, such exclusions are really inexcusable. Yes, most of the usual suspects are here, but check out those that were omitted. In no particular order:

Valley Forge

Independence Hall

Old North Church

St. Augustine Colonial Spanish Quarter & Castillo San Marco / Ft. Matanzas

Colonial Williamsburg

Ft. McHenry

French Quarter / Jackson Square & St. Louis Cathedral

Jefferson Memorial

The National Archives

Harvard University

House of the Seven Gables

Biltmore Estate

New York Stock Exchange

Salem Witch Museum

Ground Zero (Site of the World Trade Center)

Bunker Hill

Savannah Historic District

Falling Waters

Cathedral of St. John the Divine

Grant's Tomb

...to name a few. In their place, we get the following...

City Lights Bookstore

Disneyland

Universal Studios

Union Station - Los Angeles

Eastern State Penitentiary

Japanese Internment Camps

Kit Carson's Home

Virginia City

Golden Spike Historic Site

Grumman's Chinese Theatre

Forest Lawn Memorial Parks

Stonewall Inn

I'm not implying that the aforementioned, which were, in fact, included in the book, are not in their own right historic, because they are. But to leave out places such as Independence Hall, where both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were signed or Ft. McHenry, the place that inspired The Star Spangled Banner or Ground Zero, the site of the most monumental act of terrorism on U.S. soil or the historic center and fortifications of the oldest European settlement in what is the now the United States is just way too much to allow to go by without comment. Again, I take these publications with a grain of salt but when it's no longer a grain but rather a boulder, then heaving it over my shoulder isn't quite as easy.

Mind you, I'm focusing exclusively on the U.S. No doubt glaring omissions are not limited exclusively to said country. 1001 Historic Sites You Must See Before You Die

Pc Speakers - soundbar, pc speakers

I originally bought this product for a work project; there was a desire to reduce the [significant] desktop clutter resulting from multiple PCs, multiple monitors, and multiple sets of powered speakers in a dispatch environment.

There are quite a few monitors that have integrated speakers, but the volume and audio quality is somewhat lacking. I found this Dell alternative to desktop speakers that appeared to fit the bill; the price was right, the specifications were right, and the concept of placing the speakers immediately below the monitor was an appealing space-saving consideration. I knew that most of our monitors were now Dell, but was fully prepared to construct modified mounting brackets to make everything fit. I purchased one unit and brought it into work for everyone to see.

The speakers were an immediate hit. Mounting was very simple (for the Dell monitors) and it fit virtually any Dell monitor that we had. The sound quality was impressive, and certainly more than adequate for our needs. The volume levels also met our needs; typical monitor/speaker combination solutions are a bit too lame for many uses (including ours). The side-mounted volume/on-off control, vertically oriented bluish-white LED indicator (in the middle of the bar) added to the simplicity and elegance of the entire combination.

Once several of the decision makers saw and heard the product, a decision was made to move forward with an immediate purchase of these speakers for the dispatch center, along with a few extra ones for their own desktops. I ended up installing the unit that I purchased at one of the dispatch PCs to get feedback from the actual users, and the feedback was all positive.

I looked at several other options (e.g. HP, who has their own similar option) but the rated output volume would in all probability been too low for our needs. I know of one user with an HP monitor who actually mounted this Dell speaker bar and got rid of his desktop speakers. As mentioned, I was prepared to fabricate a suitable mounting option if they did not mount correctly, and was pleased that I did not have to construct brackets.

It looks like this is now the new "standard" in the group. Given the price/performance, I can't figure out why this isn't a more common option for standard PCs.

If you are looking for a medium-powered set of speakers for your Dell monitor (fits most modern Dell monitors) then I would recommend that you give this a try. There are no balance or tone controls on the speakers, so this might not be a good option for those who desire to play music at high levels (though most modern audio chipsets already give you this fine-tuning capability). But for applications involving voice (e.g. conferencing, general VoIP) or environments where extreme-volume are not needed, these are a good option.

Good day... Dell AX510 AX510PA SoundBar Sound Bar Speakers for Dell UltraSharp LCD Flat Panel Monitors - K512C

The main advantage of this sound bar is that it takes a pair of speakers off of your desk thus removing clutter. The sound isn't half bad for $26 and it mounts pretty easily. Unfortunately it still requires its own power supply since it won't power off of the monitor (at least the S2409W I have) but it does get its sound feed from the monitor. I recommend it if saving space is your primary concern.

Extremely easy to install (about 2 minutes). Most of the Dell monitors will have a power input so you don't need the additional cord and transformer that come with the soundbar, i.e. you will be able to plug the power cord directly into the monitor. The sound is exceptionally good FOR WHAT THIS IS. If you use your computer to listen to the radio, CDs, IPOD whatever then for heaven's sake get some good speakers, but if you just want a source of sound for videos and light music duties this thing is great. The big advantage is the clean install and freeing up desk space.

First let me say that, unlike one of the other reviews, mine definitely did come with the power brick to use this stand-alone. They said that it didn't, but mine definitely had it.

I have a U3011 Dell monitor, and this easily clipped on and plugged right in and off I went...

I'll be honest, I'm pretty disappointed in the sound, but I really was not expecting much. Between the small size and the small price, I expected it to sound, well, not great. I don't really expect it to sound better, but I would have paid $100 to get one that sounded good. My main speakers are PSB Alphas, which sounds great, but they cost over $200 and are big-ish.

I got this mostly for audio when I'm using my Playstation with the monitor, playing a game, to get audio via the HDMI, conveniently placed in front of me. And for that, they work just fine. The ease of connection and integration with the monitor was just great.

If you are worried the sounds quality won't be good enough for you, you're probably right... If you expect a $30 pair of speakers, you'll be fine.

Before you order this item, please make sure whether or not your monitor needs a power adapter. If your monitor does not have a power plug-in for the sound bar speaker, you will need a power adapter and that's the one with "PA". Or, you will end up getting something that's not usable AT ALL. The Amazon picture here is very confusing which shows a power adapter which is not included by some sellers.

This sound bar was exactly what I was looking for. It installed on the bottom of my Dell monitor with snap-on ease and plugged right in. No problems, no set up - very easy. Volume control on end of speaker and an indicator light to let you if it is on. No more speaker clutter on my desk!

Needed a speaker to listen to my music and videos and this was a great buy at a good price....blends in well with my flat screen monitor....plus a sweet little light displays in middle of speaker when you turn it on ... - Sound Bar - Pc Speakers - Soundbar'

Razor Blade - dado blade, dado blades

I've used several dado blades before including dial-adjust and stackable sets of different qualities. They all somewhat do the job but not quite I would like them to be. I've been using Systi-Matic blades, and they are very good. But I just could not justify for their $250 dado set or Forrest?s. So I decided to try one of the popular names in the business ? Freud. When the blades arrived in the plastic case, it caught my attention with its weight. None of those I used come close to how much this set weighs. The box is well packed with thick foam in the lid for placing blade during change, each of the eight blades is separated by a plastic spacer when stacked in the case and a set of steel shims. Only suggestion I have is to put marking on shims since there is no way I can tell which is what except the two thickest ones. Yesterday, I had a chance to use this set the first time on my newly purchased DeWalt DW746 table saw to make a piece for helping straighten the floor plank and make grooves in some the inlay pieces I am doing for the master bedroom. I was very much impressed how these blades performed compared to my past experience. Very, very smooth bottom and clean cut (no tear out) all the way and the blades are so sharp that with 1-3/4 hp motor I only need to hold down the piece and push effortlessly. I used walnut and Brizilian cherry by the way. The blade run-out is minimum that I even had a hard time taking them off the arbor if the blade was just off the 90-degree from arbor a little bit. This was my first experience with Freud blade, but I won?t hesitate to use other blades from Freud. It is a keeper for sure. Freud SD508 Super Dado 8-Inch Stack Dado

As I state in most of my reviews, I don't mind paying a little more to get a little more. If you're like me, this is the blade for you. I'm building a built-in wine rack for my house and wanted to use veneer plywood for the carcass. Well, as anyone knows, you need a _damn_ good blade to crosscut a dado in veneer plywood with no tear-out. This blade performed magnificently. Setup was a snap with the chart. Look up the thickness that you need in the manual, and it tells you which size chipper to use in conjunction with the outside blades. The bottom of the dado was so sqaure that you could use it on an exposed joint, such as a bookcase. The top of the dado was razor sharp and the fit was perfect. Also, this comes complete with a nice, metal, shim set. I've used the paper shim set in the past and you can never get a duplicate thickness once you've torn down the blade. Tighten the arbor screw a little more then last time, compress the paper a little mode and , viola, a thinner dado. Not the case with the metal shims here. One last thing to add is the carry case is a nice touch. Each of the blades and chippers are separated with a plastic ring. The entire thing filts in a small brief-case looking case. Again, well worth the money if you don't mind spending it....

My set suffers in that the chippers cut slightly deeper than the outside blades. So, I get a slight, but noticable, shoulder on each side of the dado. This is particularly noticeable on exposed joints like finger joints. I'm in the process of finding out how Freud suggests this be remedied. I may post again once that's taken place. Otherwise, the groves are smooth with little tearout and the horizontal dimensions of the set are dead on.I'm editing this review because I found out the culprit was my Sears table saw arbor. After the good service folk at Freud inspected my set they determined that there must be a valley at the end of the threads of my saw arbor. Sure enough there was and with there suggestion I filled it with JB Weld to the same height of the rest of the arbor and the set works wonderfully now. I've changed my rating dramatically upwards. But, don't get me started on the Sears saw!

The Super Dado set from Freud is sweet! It's low cost (Compared to it's 'competition') and it's viciously accurate. Just follow the instructions on which chippers to include on the stack and you will cut PRECISELY the width specified. Width resolution of the set just using the chippers is 1/32 of an inch, and shims are provided to do even better than that. However, I've never used the shims. I've never needed them. I love the plastic case. It comes with little spacers for each blade and chipper. When I need to set my saw up for dadoing I just pull the plastic case out of it's spot, put it on the table saw and pop it open. The top of the case has a flat foam insert that you can put a blade on while you're doing the change, you don't need to keep a piece of wood around to put the blade being changed onBased on my experience with the Super Dado set, I plan on upgrading all my blades to Freud blades.

The first thing you'll notice is the boxed set and the weight. Without even opening the box, you'll will feel the heft of this dado set. Once opened, the outer blades have an impressive number of teeth (with the Freud anti-kickback shoulder behind the tooth). The instructions are clear and the measurement guide is sweet. The metallic shims allow for fine adjustment though they could be better indentified (if unsure, make sure you measure with a dial caliper). The most impressive part is in the cut - flat smooth and no tear out. After using several other dado sets, including a Sears and the SD208 this design and function is simply the best cutting.

When I first started doing fine wood working about 4 years ago, I bought a dado set for about $50. Well, as you can imagine, you get what you pay for. I had to have a filing shop match the cutters up so I could get close to square cuts. When it was time to move up, I purchased this product and have been extremely pleased with it. I decided to give this set a try as I had purchased a Freud 60 tooth blade and it worked wonderfully, with no chipping on plywood or any of the solid woods I used.Square cuts right out of the box. Good set of shims that made adjustments easy. The only thing I would like to have seen was the marking of the cutters (i.e. C, D, E etc). Other than that, this is an excellent product. - Dado Blade - Dado Blades - Dado - Saw Blade'
