Playstation Eye - ps3 games, move

I have never before seen a game so unfairly reviewed by major pro reviewers like IGN and Gamespot. It seems that some very realistic games are outgrowing those sites in that when they require real skill the reviewer is lost and takes it out on the game with an undeserved poor review. This game is amazing. True 1:1 control and so much of a learning curve that you really feel like you are in full control and rewarded for improvement. Totally ignore the pathetic reviews of sites and listen to the real reviews here and by other users. The Fight: Lights Out

Got a chance to play it quite a bit and have to say the hype doesn't do the game justice. So at first I felt it was kind of slow and that I was seeing the impact that I felt I was dishing out. You have stats for your fighter and while you might be amazing in real life your character needs to improve. It's not that he won't move with you perfectly, because he will, it's the fact that his hits won't be measured as a perfect punch. So you have to boost Strength, Speed, Stamina, and Technique to get him up to your level and beyond. That's just the beginning however. You also have Chin which allows you to take more hits and Heart which helps you get back up if you have been mowed over. Only bad part is you really can't move your feet as you will be told during the tutorial. The rest of you is fine, but they have you rooted to that spot and probably to stop people from getting out of the cameras view. Custom soundtrack is supported so you can abuse people to your favorite fight songs.

Finally you have career mode and training facilities to improve your fighter. Career mode is like the one person stand alone to get you used to the ups and downs while earning yourself a little bit of cash along the way. The money is used on clothing, healing (since broken bones make for a weak fighter), and training facilities. Training includes things like the tutorial which gets updates from time to time, a spar which is just for practice and doesn't give you anything, the large punching bag, the small up high punching bag, an accuracy test, and an endurance match. The last four I mentioned give you upgrade points that you can spend on boosts which I named earlier. I tend to use either the large punching bag and/or the accuracy test since I'm better at those, but in all fairness did not try the endurance match.

Almost forgot some really important things. There is a gauge that measures how good or evil you are in a sense. Fighting using straight up boxing techniques makes you a good guy and shows you as being respectful. Fighting using the dirty moves and/or cheating (i.e. buying the download content to improve your fighter) lowers your respect. Not sure what respect does yet, but my guess is increases the price of items such as shoes, jewelry, tattoos, and other clothing while also warning other players online this guy might have paid money to improve his stats. Improved stats does not equal ability since you still have to be able to move and punch with precision. No stat is going to make up for really horrible skills.

I also recommend a well lit room for the camera as you will not be able to use the head sync if the room is kind of dark. Trust me it's a lot better to be able to bob than holding the X button which makes fighting a pain.

As far as multi-player is concerned I have not yet tried it and not sure if I can even do so online yet. I can tell you the features include spectator, tournaments and betting. Betting also gives a percentage to the winner. If the person you bet on has won a lot of fights and therefore those who had bet on him previously won a lot of money, you get a percentage boost for that. You also get a percentage boost for betting on winners multiple times.

Now this brings me to the trophies. You want them and badly. Trophies offer stat boosts and unique abilities that cannot be gained by any other means. These include stamina speed rate up, easy dizzy and/or stun/stagger break, easier to stun/stagger or dizzy the opponent and many other skills that will greatly improve your character in later battles and I'm sure for online fights as well.

The disappointing side is the lack of options in character customization. I did not see any long hair styles and on top of that for females who play you cannot be a woman. I'm surprised since there are definitely some woman out there who are pretty beast and you wouldn't want to mess with them. I guess they don't want guys beating up on woman since it could create all sorts of unwanted issues, but for women who play the game it's going to feel a little off I'm sure.

All in all this is an amazing game and at less than average dollar value. It offers more than pretty much any boxing title out, but in fairness they only paid for one big representative versus a huge cast of sportsman faces that would sue daily if they didn't make a certain amount of money for the use of their likeness. As far as the Playstation Move controls are concerned those are really good as well. It matches everything you do. For those of you who know eastern martial arts the turning punch motion won't increase the damage in the game, but is still useful. Boxers can easily show off as well. Great buy, a lot of fun, and a push to keep you at it with the stat system. All the fury of a real fight with the lack of a real hospital bill.

I review a lot of games that can be used for fitness and exercise. Very rarely has a game provided such an intense workout that just after a few minutes of playing with it, I'm covered with perspiration and my muscles feel tighter. It happened with this one.

It takes a while for you to get started with this game. When you pop the disc into your PS3, you need to wait a few minutes while the game data installs. You're instantly introduced to "Duke", your virtual trainer who looks like he's been in a couple fights himself in his day (the graphics are so detailed it's hard to tell if he's a real person or a computer-generated image).

You start out by entering your weight, height, and age. Your BMI is calculated for you.

You can then choose a look for your fighter. You select from a variety of faces, beards, hair colors, and hair styles. Chances are you can get someone approximating your look.

In the next step, you divide 60 "ability points" into various categories: strength, speed, stamina, chin (your charater's ability to take a punch), heart (your character's resolve in staying up despite taking a beating), and technique. In the course of the game, you can win more "ability points" to further strengthen your character.

In the next step, you calibrate your Move controllers (you need two of them). The process is a bit more involved than usual. You need to center yourself in the camera, stretch your arms straight out, and then move your remotes back and forth. You can also take a picture of the background without you in it to enable head tracking, which will supposedly track your head movements just like a Kinect (I couldn't get it to work on mine, possibly because I had objects in the background).

Duke will go on to tell you how to play the game. You'll need to keep your feet in place when boxing. You press the Move button and flick the controller to dodge and jump.

You'll also learn how to read the various elements in the game which represent your character's well-being. There's a health meter and a stamina meter, neither of which you want to run out. There's also a rage meter, which goes up each time you get hit and adds fuel for "dirty moves". A diagram of a skeleton will tell you if any part of your fighter is injured and needs to be patched up.

Once you finished the tutorial, you'll see four menu options:

Events: Takes you through different fights of increasing difficulty. With each fight, you'll earn money, reputation points, and new moves.

Training: Will let you re-do the tutorial or take new tutorials on sparring, heavy bag, speed bag, target practice, and endurance sparring.

Fitness: Shows you how many calories you burn while playing.

Fighter: Lets you adjust your character's appearance, assign new "ability points" you earn, heal from injuries, and apply "boosters" which you earn during your fights. You can also download cheats online (which, of course, come at an extra price).

As for the actual fighting, it is by far the best fight experience I've had in a video game. Your onscreen character reflect your motions almost perfectly--and even mimics hooks, jabs, and uppercuts pretty well. It does take a little while to get used to fighting on a two-dimensional screen--it's hard to gauge depth and so often you may be swinging and missing at your opponent (the game does work with 3D, so I suppose with a 3D television this issue would be solved). You can also switch camera angles, which helps. Other than that, it's a remarkable simulation of actual fighting.

After each fight, you can view the calories you burned as well as statistics (punches thrown, punches connected, "dirty moves", and punch accuracy). You can even view a video replay of your fight.

Like I said, after about 5 rounds I was breathing hard and felt my muscles tight. What's great is that I didn't want to stop--I just wanted to keep pounding the tar out of my opponents. I have a feeling that of all the games I have to get in shape, this is going to be the one I go back to most often. This is motion gaming to the extreme, and a great title which showcases the capabilities of the Move. - Playstation Eye - Boxing - Move - Ps3 Games'

Full-bust Sportswear - full-bust sportswear, moving comfort

I bought one of these bra's to see how it was and I was so surprised that they are so great, comfortable and I don't jingle at all doing high impact aerobics and jogging and I am not a small girl, 38D. Hard to find a bra that will hold you. They wash very well also. I bought another one right after I bought my first one and now I am going to buy my third one. The straps do not have an adjustment but they are thick straps and DO NOT fall off my shoulders. They stay put. I would highly recommend. Synthetic Full Figure Sports Bra, (36DD/Black)

I bought this bra hoping that it would be good for running and jumping.

It is not the worse sports bra I've ever worn. It's comfortable, and looks nice (if you can get pass the inevitable uniboob).

It just does not support enough for high impact sports if you have a large bust (I'm a 40DD).

I will be using it on my days that I do weights and use the elliptical or anything else that's not high impact.

this is a tight bra thinking its gonna be dd its not it fits but its way to tight so it also took 9 days ships from Atalanta Georgia its not worth the money or the time or the effort but the plus size is that its comfy to a certain point

All in all, this is a pretty comfortable bra. The only concern I have is that the whole piece just does not have quite enough elasticity. I find it hard to slip my arms into it when putting it on. A little more give would be welcome in the strap area, as well as, the bottom band. Otherwise this is as comfortable as they come.

This bra is just ok. It's not the worst sports bra I've owned, not by a long shot. I'm not returning it, but I won't repurchase either. It does fit, (I'm 36 D) but if you're on the larger end of your size bracket, I'd recommend going up a band size. I wish I had ordered a 38. It definitely holds my chest in place when I am working out, and it's fairly comfortable. Really, you get what you pay for. This doesn't even come close to my Moving Comfort or Glamoise sports bras. This bra does give the unibreast. However, this is fine for a quick elliptical jaunt or a workout dvd. I don't think I'd choose this to wear to the gym, or go anywhere in public.

I was not expecting much from this purchase but was willing to take a chance due to the low cost. I am so glad I took the chance. This is a great bargain. They are comfortable yet snug enough to do their job. - Champion - Full-bust Sportswear - Moving Comfort - Sports Bras'

Samsung

I don't usually write reviews but there aren't very many for this product so I decided to do one.

I have this tv in my room hooked up to my play station. Picture quality is very good and sound is not bad either.

Pros:

120 hz

1080p

great price

energy efficient.

Looks good in bright environments.

Cons: The stand is very wobbly. I like to rest my feet on the desk but i can't now because it wobbles the tv. which is really disappointing but I'm sure there is something I can do to fix it.

Conclusion: I'm giving this tv 5 out of 5 stars because it was exactly what I was looking for. A solid tv, with the specs I wanted at a great price. 5 stars for the tv. 1 star for the stand. I have only had this tv for 2 days now so I will update if I have any further issues. Samsung UN22D5003 22-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED HDTV (Black)

I brought this TV as a monitor for my computer.

I like that the speakers are built in and if you have hdmi on your computers video card it reduces the need for an additional soundcard and audio cable.

My only complaint is that there is a pc/dvi mode for the hdmi ports that makes the pc image look really clear and it was difficult to find it existed at all. For the first week of use the text was very blurry on the monitor and it was only through reading on message boards that I found this option needed to be changed. It is not an obvious option as I had been through the whole menu on the TV many times. Once this option is set Windows looks great at 1080p.

I also have xbox 360 hooked up to the second hdmi port and that looks great as well.

Overall this is a very nice TV or monitor for 250 bucks if you are going to be sitting pretty close to it when using it.

One other negative might be the stand as it doesn't really allow you to do anything. What you see is what you get. It's not a problem for me though.

This is used exclusively with The Boss' PS3 console, and it's a very nice screen. Coincidentally, the day this was delivered, she brought home a similarly-priced, identically-spec'd 24-inch Toshiba from a local B&M, and the differences are night-and-day.

Both have a stunning picture, head-on, but as you move off-axis from directly in front of the screen, this Samsung holds color gamut at far greater angles than the Toshiba, and remains viewable at least as far to the side as you can go and still see the screen. Colors may not be so great at that angle, but you can see them. With the Toshiba, all you see is a dark panel.

We previously had a Sony Trinitron CRT connected to the PS3 console, and I thought it worked mighty good at that role. I'm not a gamer, but when I look over her shoulder now, I can see parts of the games I've never seen before, and not because of the wider aspect ratio. Stuff that was hidden in the dark areas now pops out.

This is the first LCD television I bought, and I bought small and cheap because of the problems inherent with LCD screens. This one has sold me. Still have to be careful with brands and models within brands, but I like 'em and am actively shopping for a larger screen for the living room.

As a bonus, The Boss says the games look so much better - and different - she can go back and play her old games all over again. If she does that, this set will have paid for itself in a few months.

Highly recommend this where it's size fits the size of the room. Fantastic, lucky, first buy.

The TV is great it has a nice bright picture and it is crystal clear. I like the 120Hz refresh rate it makes sports look better. The only thing I was unaware of was the lack of audio outputs. I wanted to hook this TV up to speakers and I can not do so because there an no audio outs what so ever. Other than that the TV is everything that I expected and I would go with a Samsung again in the future.

This is not 120hz. This is 120MCR Clear Motion Rate. Samsung use this just to make you think it is 120hz. I returned it after it was opened and discovered it is not 120hz. Samsung list the TV on their website as a 120 Clear Motion Rate TV. So, I dont know why amazon insist in having it listed as 120hz.DO NOT buy if you want a 120hz tv that is 120hz.

OK....so here I was looking for a bedroom TV to hook up to my bluray and Netflix streaming. Finally gotten rid of the old clunker Haier tube TV from years ago.

At first, I was taken by the design of a Vizio 26" somewhat widely carried by many retailers and also on the internet. So I went out and bought it at a local retailer. Psyched. It fit perfectly in the intended bedroom spot. Looked great too. Dead remote....couldn't get past the first set-up page. Tried everything. Very pissed off. A bad omen. Such disappointment. Returned it for a refund.

Then.....I discovered this Samsung. Always liked Samsung. Even though the size was a bit smaller and it looked like everybody else's flat screen, I found that it is 1080p with a 120khz refresh rate. Granted the 1080p res isn't anything to write home about with such a small screen, the 120hz refresh rate (better pic with fast motion) hooked me along with the LED illumination. Bought it. Set it up. Hey! It works!! Fantastic picture.

Pros: Samsung - 120hz refresh rate - sturdy remote control - slim design - excellent picture.

Cons: NONE really. But....there is no audio output on this particular model. You must rely soley on the set's speakers. Some people have complained of this, but they should have inquired first before buying. Some complain of the audio quality, but...if you go into the settings and work with the set's audio equalizer a bit you can get it to sound quite nice for a set of it's size. Remember, this is a small set intended for the kitchen, bedroom, dorm or study. Not a home theatre. Part of this could be worked around if you have a bluray with audio outputs.'

Bottle Opener - screwdriver, klein

This is an excellent product! First and foremost, it's a FANTASTIC bottle opener. Definitely the best I've ever used. It works every time, and you never end up with partially dented, seal-broken-but-still-attached caps. As a previous reviewer mentioned, it leaves a satisfying crease down the middle of the cap, and removes caps completely and consistently. It has a very solid feel - no flexing, it securely engages the cap, and the handle is nice and thick with a comfortably cushioned grip. It should last a lifetime - mine has been used for several months, and I don't even see any signs of wear. Unless you need a small, low-profile pocket opener, you can't do any better than this Klein opener.

And that's before even mentioning the classy tool styling and clever packaging! Any "tool guy" (or girl) would without a doubt love to receive one of these as a gift. If that gift recipient is anything like me, they'll display this opener proudly in their home! It would work especially well as a matched set with Klein's grill tools or any of their (also excellent) screwdrivers... (May I suggest the 10-in-1?)

I give this a solid 5 stars as a bottle opener, and another 5 stars as a clever gift/tool-styled accessory. Highly recommended! Klein 98002BT Bottle Opener

It's a bottle opener with Klein quality. I suspect most folks wouldn't appreciate it but for those that know about good tools this is something they can appreciate it. Humorous packaging lets you know Klein doesn't take themselves too seriously. It's always a hit at crawfish boils and other events where people are opening a lot of bottles. - Screwdriver - Klein - Cycling'

Gift Idea - gift idea

Amazon has gone into the battery business! These batteries are a great alternative to the more expensive name brands. And so far, the quality seems just as good. The price is great and it's even better if you use "Subscribe and Save". Also, they came in a nice box ("frustration-free" packaging) which fits just perfectly in my drawer (I just cut off the lid). It kept the batteries from rolling around in the drawer.

And, really, who doesn't want that famous Amazon smiley on their batteries?? lol AmazonBasics AA Alkaline Batteries (Pack of 20)

Batteries are commodities, and "premium" batteries that promise more power at a higher cost seems kinda silly to me. I found out about the Amazon brand of batteries by accident, but I'm glad I did -- The battery life is good, the price is great, and the packagine is easy to open and is completely reclycable. I go through batteries a lot (peripherals for my computers, hand-held devices, etc) so I'm glad I found a set of affordable and dependable batteries. Don't forget to properly recycle your used batteries!

These batteries are great. I have been using them for over 2 weeks and they have performed to the same level as my Duracell's. The price can't be beat. Believe it or not the box they come in has served as a great storage option for me and I don't have batteries rolling around in my junk drawer. Very pleased with these, and plan to buy again.

I love AmazonBasics products because they are usually excellent products, like Costco's Kirkland brand, and have very reasonable prices.

Although there are lots of rechargeable batteries on the market, there exist many circumstances when Alkaline batteries are more appropriate. For example, I use Alkaline batteries for clocks, smoke detectors, portable speakers, and any electronics that use little power and that do not need battery replacement often.

The AmazonBasics AA Alkaline batteries have a high quality feel. The ones I just bought have a voltage of between 1.63 to 1.64 v, and the remaining shelf life is 4 years and 9 months.

Although Alkaline battery cannot be recharged in an ordinary charger, there are special Alkaline battery chargers made for this purpose. I will test the "rechargeability" of these Amazon-branded batteries and report it here in the future.

Fully satisfied! The ones I have used so far in TV remotes and other household items are still going strong. They seem te be just as good or better than name brand batteries I get in the local store, and for a far better price.

I use these batteries particularly for my wireless Xbox 360 headset. Before these I would go to the store and purchase a 16 pack of Energizers for about $12. These are half the price and on average last about 50% longer, how on earth? Even the shipping is free! I'll be ditching Duracells and sticking to Amazon's batteries from now on.

I have a new Magic Mouse from Apple and they usually go through batteries faster than a teenage boy eats. I bought these batteries thinking I would buy less expensive ones since I would be going through them so fast. They are laster MUCH longer than another other batteries I used. With the old ones I would have to change my them every 3 weeks. With these it is almost every 8 weeks.

Thanks you Amazon!!

I did not know Amazon also carried batteries at decent price. Amazon batteries are my second choice since Costco has better deal for Duracell brand especially with coupons. Amazon batteries did not last long as Duracell, but it's well-worth the price since they last longer than other cheap batteries at 99cent Stores or cheap convenient stores: $1 for 4 useless batteries that sooner or later will release toxins to our environment. I really enjoyed Amazon's batteries for its price and alkaline made. I stocked some in refrigerator for longer life use. - Gift Idea'

Dust Mask - face mask, masks

3M 8210 N95 Particulate Disposable Respirator - the "N95" means that if the mask is properly fitted, it will filter out particles down to .3 microns 95 percent of the time. That's great for particulate matter but not sufficient against flu bugs - yet quite helpful.

The types of viruses that cause respiratory illnesses measure between .1 to .2 microns. That means that while this mask will probably stop most of the flu viruses from getting through, it is not dense enough to stop them all. That is why the product description mentions dust and particulate matter but makes no claim or mention of viruses.

Masks with a high enough efficiency rating to stop viruses are incredibly uncomfortable. I've never worn one but consider that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) advises health-care workers working with SARS patients to wear the N95 mask - same rating as this one. Even the CDC does not expect people to function at work wearing masks with super high efficiency ratings. Therefore I'm not getting a superior rated mask because they are immediately uncomfortable and I might not be able to function wearing one. Health-care workers will be wearing masks rated N95.

The N95 masks are also valued because viruses often travel on bigger molecules such as molecules that contain mucus. N95 will stop all of those.

I would suggest this box of 30 as a good emergency supply and perhaps a better deal:3M 8000 Particle Respirator N95, 30-Pack. 3M 8210Plus Particulate Respirator N95, 20-Pack

Respirators are great for use when getting up leaves or mowing the lawn. I use them regularly during fall for my lawn business. The straps are not durable for long-term use, but usually last as long as the mask stays breatheable. The straps need to be stretched evenly before the mask is first put on or it may seem too tight. One at a time stretch each strap a section of the strap at a time. Much better than the single strap nuisance respirators. Price was awesome on an open box. Wish I had ordered two of them. - Face Mask - N95 - Masks - 3m'

Paper Punch - hole punch, sparco

This three hole punch is decent. I mean I bought it because it was at good value and the shipping was fast but the only problem is that when it punches the holes, its literally by the edge of the paper. So when I go to put it in a binder and I move the pages, there is going to be a chance that the holes will break leaving me upset. I am very picky about my pages in my binders so if you are the same, I dont recommend this product Officemate Heavy Duty 3 Hole Punch with Padded Handle, 40-Sheet Capacity, Black (90089)

Couldn't be happier with this hole punch. It plows through big stacks of papers like butter. It even cuts through staples without any resistance. I recommend this to anyone with alot of paperwork that has to be punched. It's saved me an incredible amount of time compared to my old hole punch.

Very nice sturdy hole punch. Large padded handle makes it comfortable to use and it easily punches through 30 sheets of paper with no effort. Great value for the price and seems very well made. Nice little feature is two locking tabs that lock the handle in the down possition allowing you to store it back in the box in came in without taking up a lot of space in a desk drawer. - Sparco - Office Supplies - Paper Punch - Hole Punch'

Cordless Nailer - cordless nailer, nail gun

This latest offering from Paslode is the next iteration of their venerable cordless framing nailer (IMCT). The unit has addressed some issues that existed with the original design and has added some new features. Some people found the firing rate of the previous design to be a little slow so this new nailer does fire faster. The nose of this nailer actuates in more positions and with less pressure than the older model making the nailing process a little easier when toe-nailing in tight areas. The fuel cell has been redesigned so that it is a simple drop in as some people apparently had issues with the fuel cell not mating properly with the metering valve; I never experienced this myself. This unit holds more nails per load and the rafter hook has been redesigned so that it can actually be hung on a rafter as the older style was to narrow. Finally they redesigned the combustion chamber with the intent of increasing the time that the nailer will operate reliably before needing to be cleaned. I have no reason to doubt this but it is too early for me to tell if it has been achieved.

All in all the unit itself is a nice redesign that fits well in the hand and addresses a few deficiencies with the earlier design. However this offering does bring a whole new and in my opinion a show stopping issue to the table. Paslode management has decided to package the fuel cells for this product with the nails. This mean that they must be purchased together so if the cell runs out, is defective or you lose a fuel cell you have to get more nails. This also does not bode well for those who have stocked up on nails. The fact that the redesigned fuel cells are not compatible with the older units is a problem in itself and forcing customers to buy nails with the cells just adds insult to injury. Paslode claims that this will ensure that the customer has enough fuel for the lot of nails but i think there is an ulterior motive lurking.

In my opinion Paslode is showing very little commitment to the customer by selling fuel cells only with nails... I think their true reasoning for this may be to ensure that you buy Paslode nails. In addition, in terms of space there seemed no practical reason to change the fuel cell design other than to ensure that it was not compatible with older guns. The "drop-in" installation could of been achieved by redesigning the nozzle and slot retaining backwards compatibility. I am sure that someone at Paslode is planning on sun-lighting the older red fuel cells forcing owners of the older Framing nailer (IMCT) to upgrade. Sorry Paslode this is not the sign of a top company that supports its loyal customers... I hope that the management at Paslode see fit to offer the new cells both separately and for a reasonable price. I also hope that they find a way to ensure that older framing nailer's will continue to have fuel available. Homeowners who may not use the guns very frequently expect that their purchase(Expen$ive) of a commercial quality tool would function for a very long time, let's not let them down. Paslode CF325 902200 Cordless Framing Nailer

the gun works like a charm! toe nailing is greatly improved with this gun because of the new tip that you can change depth with your hands. I used this gun all day for framing a big deck, went through half a box of ACQ 3 1/4" nails and every time I pulled the trigger the nail drove home, not one miss fire. when gun gets hot it still keeps working perfectly (new stainless O rings) the fuel cell is easier to load and unload. Much improved over the previous 900420 cordless Paslode framer. The only reason why this gun gets a 4 star is because you can't buy the fuel cells without buying a box of 1000 Paslode nails. New orange fuel cell is different than the red fuel cells and you can't switch the cap of the fuel cell. they say that you should be able to drive over a 1000 nails with one fuel cell, well from what I've experienced with the 900420, if you don't have the perfect weather conditions (like 15 degrees) your fuel cells don't last that long and you need to keep an extra cell warm in your pocket, so while the one in your gun is getting too cold to work, you can switch with the warm one in your pocket. If they start selling fuel cells separately I will change the 4 star rating to 5.

I recently purchased Palsode's new and improved CF-325 cordless framing nailer when my 10 year old Impulse bit the dust. I like the rubberized hand grip which helps in keeping the gun under control as my hands are dripping with sweat, which is almost all the time down here in southern most Key West, Florida. (hot, hot, hot). I can toe nail like a dream with this gun. The gun hanger has a cool improvement, as it will hang off my tool belt or when switched around can hang on joists. Very handy. The new fuel cell set up keeps the fuel cell firmly in place so that it does not dislodge while firing, like in the older gun. The door for the fuel cell compartment is much beefier with metal parts, rather than just plastic. The depth setting is a breeze as you can do so by hand rather than having to break out the tools. I have gone through 4500 nails with no problems. I was very frustrated trying to find replacement fuel cells. None of the lumber yards in the Keys had heard of this new gun, let alone sell fuel cells. My only complaint is a ditto on the previous reviewer in that Paslode is not selling fuel cells by themselves. You have to buy nails and fuels cells toghter in a combo pack. I had plenty of nails from Home Depot and did not want pay the shipping fee for more nails just to get fuel cells. I hear that Home Depot is going to be selling the combo packs and the new gun in about 1 month. Fortunately, I was able to buy separate fuel cells on ebay and get back to nailing.

I am a DIY person who enjoys framing. I purchased the CF325 last week for a job building a stage in our church where I could not use a compressor. Opened the box, read the directions, inserted the fuel cell, loaded a rack of the largest diameter (.131") X 3-1/4" long Paslode nails and in less than 5 minutes, from opening the box, I was nailing 2 x 6 framing members together and a 3/4" OSB floor on top. On the second lowest setting for nail depth, it drove them perfectly, just slightly below the surface. No need to readjust going from 2 x 6 framing to nailing down the 3/4" OSB subfloor. You can justify the small cost of the fuel cell against the time to position an air compressor, it's operating and maintenance costs, and the hassle of the air hose. This tool is amazing. I could not believe how fast the whole job went. Outside in the winter, keep a second fuel cell inside your jacket where it can stay warm. As they lose pressure from the cold air, just rotate them back and forth. Takes only seconds. This tool, if it holds up as well as others seem to indicate, can revolutionize framing. - Nailers - Nail Gun - Cordless Nailer'

Nutrition - healthy eating, food

I love Michael Pollan, and his `food rules' are good. Gary Taubes has done some great reporting and synthesizing. The American public is slowing growing an understanding that what Big Farma wants you to want is not good for you. (Big Pharma, however, is happy to make you think that only they can fix the resulting damage.)

In her first book, Deep Nutrition, Dr Cate (Catherine Shanahan, MD) explains how important nutrition is to not only maintaining health, but also in restoring it! She explains things more completely and with a much greater understanding of the complexity of the human body than pretty much anyone trying to do so (the only exception I have found is Nora Gedgaudas, who is equally competent and whose book complements the Shanahan's book perfectly).

I think of Dr. Cate's Food Rules as the icing on the cake! (Cake is now made with nut flours and lots of eggs from my own chickens, topped with un-sugared whipped cream). Cate again packs an amazing amount of information into a slim volume. If you want some valuable tips, insight, or coaching on what food to buy, how to cook it, and how to eat intentionally, this book is for you. You do not need to read Deep Nutrition to greatly benefit from the food rules based on it. If you have been eating junk for years, are ill, seek longevity, or want optimum health this little guide book is far, far, far superior to every similar guide on the market. There is a 30 page section called Doctor's Orders that has "must read" material (just go read this section in your local bookstore if you are already a foodie eating nutrient rich foods).

If every American household had a copy of Food Rules and used it, healthcare costs would, I'm serious, drop to a mere 10% of what they are today. I know, because my 25-year-old daughter who was officially diagnosed with Chronic Pain Syndrome (after Kaiser exhausted their options) is now approaching a normal life after following these rules for six months. These rules work better than you can imagine.

This book is the perfect gift at baby showers, wedding showers, and anyone's birthday!! Five stars are not enough, but they won't let me add any. Food Rules: A Doctor's Guide to Healthy Eating

This book is a gem!

I am a supplement junkie who is only now learning that real nutrition is in delicious food. Let Catherine and Luke wean you from your supplements; you will want to spend the same money supporting local food producers of sustainable products. eing a "foodie" is actually being a "health food nut." I am so glad I have both Deep Nutrition and this handy guide to remind and guide me; eating well can be a bit tricky. I don't know how the authors put all this information together so well; it's humorous and it is even fun to read. I thought I knew a thing or two about nutrition... my knowledge has been greatly up-graded by the analysis done by this remarkable team.

Great book, people who don't rate it 5 don't know up from down.

My daughter has been the pioneer of a 'Deeper Nutritional' outlook in our family. She continues to teach me and I'm making some progress to upgrade my life (Ok, I'm stubburn...). What I love about Food Rules is the clear and simple way it gives me the motivation I need to see sugar for what it really is, embrace many others foods I can get locally and a way of eating that isn't dogmatic but still much better for me, one step at a time! Thanks Dr. Shanahan!

When I discovered Deep Nutrition, it became my dietary mantra and has made a huge difference in my health and quality of life. Naturally I was excited to read Food Rules and pleased to discover that it is a remarkable companion book to Deep Nutrition. It consistently streamlines the information into a user friendly guide. I Love this book!

I have already purchased 7 of these books to share with my health conscious loved ones. Dr. Shanahan describes how eating poorly causes inflammation, and that all diseases start with inflammation. As we get older, our body's efficiency declines, and her "food rules" are right on target to getting our bodies back in shape. I devoured this book in one night, and was so inspired, that I started on a diet with her recommendations of no starches or sugar, eating mostly meat, vegetables, and kefir, and butter and coconut butter for good fats. Fresh squeezed lemon juice in water, and kombucha to drink. A very simple diet, no exercising, I feel great, and have lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks! Dr. Shanahan is light years ahead of standard medical advice.

My husband and I are planning to have a baby in the not too distant future. I am grateful that I have read Deep Nutrition so that my husband and I can do everything we can to produce a healthy baby. Food Rules will make a tough job easier. It's a wonderful encapsulation of how to accomplish healthy eating. It is increasingly clear that tragic and needless illness is all too often the result of bad food choices; we enjoy having Food Rules handy to help remind ourselves of better alternatives to conventional foods and to help us explain the way we eat to our friends and family.

As a right brain creative, Food Rules made is simple and concrete enough to pick up the essentials and pass it on to my coaching clients. Both Dr. Shanahan and I agree that nutrition cannot be overlooked, EVER! While getting the sugar out, embracing local foods and eating mindfully sounds simple, but as someone who has gone through a decade of healing eating disorders, I personally know how 'simple' doesn't mean 'easy' when it comes to food addictions. Being reminded again and again of these timeless food truths is key. Food Rules is an essential guide for everyone who's looking to address what's really important when it comes to food and body! And if your mind likes the details, you'll enjoy diving into this one: (...)

Wireless Home Theater - surround sound, home theater

Purchased this system for our family room which is a little on the smaller side. The sound is rich and full, the subwoofer is better than expected, and overall we're very pleased. Good TV sound and excellent DVD and iPod sound. Moderately priced as well, which is a bonus. *NOTE: Fiber Optic audio and HDMI video cables are NOT included and must be purchased separately.* The system does include a cable for basic video connection. The Fiber Optic audio cable (recommended for best quality audio) is about $20-25 retail. [If purchasing the fiber optic cable, make sure to remove the small clear covers at each end of the cable before trying to connect it to the receiver and cable box or TV. Otherwise...yikes, you've plugged the jacks]. The remote is small, very handy and easy to use. Front connection for an iPod, which works great. There's an antennae for FM radio which we haven't connected yet so I can't comment on that.

Set up is easy but time consuming, so as with most electronic set ups buyers should allow enough time to run the wires, position the rear speakers, attach everything and run the tests. There's fairly generous amount of speaker wire [wish they could have included about 5' more for the back speakers]; depending on how the room is arranged buyers might need to figure out creative ways to run the speaker wires for the back speakers. If it's impossible to properly place two speakers in the back of the room there is a setting which adjusts the sound for a set up where all speakers are located in the front.

The system comes with a 1-2-3 Step easy set up guide and also the more detailed instruction booklet. Speaker cords, input jacks, and speakers are color coded and clearly labeled. There's a disc included to run as part of setting up the speakers and testing the system. For the most part the instructions are self explanatory and easy to follow. However, some of the steps are slightly more confusing than necessary because the drawings of various components [e.g. TV, Cable Box, Sony Receiver] aren't labeled. The person setting the system up can clearly see what needs to be connected, but it's not always clear to what component [cable box or TV].

We now use this system exclusively and keep the speakers on our TV turned down. We will probably purchase this system for use with our basement TV as well. Sony BRAVIA DAV-DZ170 Home Theater System

Sony's Bravia line has yet to disappoint me. This home theater in a box is a really nice setup. It doesn't have the flexibility of a high-end receiver like a Denon or Onkyo, but that's not really what a home theater in a box setup is supposed to do. It has one HDMI output, but no HDMI inputs, and only one optical input. If you've got a newer model tv, that's all you need most of the time. If you can run all of your HDMI sources into your tv, you can just run the one optical cable to this receiver and you're ready to go. It's plenty powerful for most living rooms and gets loud without losing much resolution. The subwoofer the weakest aspect of this set, but it's not that bad. You can turn it up in the settings if you want a little more bottom end. I take it back, the weakest aspect of this set is the proprietary input system for the speaker wires. Sony isn't the only company to do this, so it's hard to single them out here, but it's still annoying. I prefer to use lower gauge speaker wires, but the proprietary speaker plugs make that almost impossible.

Overall, I prefer this setup to most component systems because A) it doesn't take up much space B) it reproduces sounds evenly and accurately C) the DVD upconversion is pretty good and D) the price is very nice. I down-sized from a 7.1 component setup and don't regret it for a second.

I was torn between this unit and a similar Samsung unit, and I decided to go with this Sony because I have alway6s been pleased with Sony products. Well, Sony definitely let me down on this one. First off this unit was easy to set up. It took longer to run the wires across the room than it did to actually hook it up. But the volume on this was sub-par. Even on the max level volume (35) it still wasn't that loud. The main problem was the amount of bass that it produces. The bass is so overpowering that you can barely even hear people talking in the movie, and there is no way to adjust the levels at all.

I would recommend this product to anyone because this system has a very clear, sharp, and crisp sound which you may not receive in some of the more expensive theater systems. If you are looking for a system with a nice bargain and a great sound, this is definitely the one you may be looking for. This system has no distortion playing the dvd player and the subwoofer will literally blow you out of the room whether you are sitting or standing! Every sound and instrument is heard through this one, depending on your personal settings. You are getting more than what you are paying for and it has an outlet for an ipod or mp3 player.

I purchased this surround sound set for my fiance for christmas. He had been asking for one for several months, and nearly bought his own on several occasions. When he opened this one, he was thrilled because we always find that Sony products are of a high quality. This was no exception. The set up was quick and easy, and all the necessary cables (except HDMI which we already had) were included. Each speaker had excellent sound quality, and the set lived up to the Sony name. The subwoofer is more powerful than either of us expected, and since we live in an apartment complex, we often don't use it to its potential so as not to bother other residents. Overall, the money spent on this system is well worth the experience, and I would even say I feel like we got a bargain. Other sets that I've heard in electronics stores that are comparable in price don't seem to stand up. Good Job Sony! - Sony - Surround Sound - Home Theater - Home Theater System'
