Diana Palmer Novels - western romance, long tall texans

John Callister and his brother, Gil, own a ranching empire in Medicine Ridge. His brother has a wife and kids and John feels like the odd man out. He decides to expand their enterprise by purchasing a rundown ranch in Hollister. He goes under an assumed name, not wanting the locals to get wind of his financial status.

At the local feed store, he meets a Sassy Peale, an attractive young woman who carries more weight on her shoulders than one person should. When he comes to her rescue, she views him as her prince. He's attracted to her, but feels there is too much of an age difference between them.

Readers familiar with Diana Palmer, this is the typical older man - younger woman scenario. The female character is poor and wholesome to a fault. The thirty-something John Wayne style hero is rich beyond imagination and feels like falling for a nineteen year old virgin isn't right.

Yes, DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH is predictable, but sometimes I like it that way. Coming off a stressful day, it's nice to plug into something light. And at only 192 pages, I can read it all in one sitting. Diamond in the Rough (Center Point Platinum Romance (Large Print))

I am a diehard fan. I have almost every Diana Palmer book ever written even the ones under Diana Blayne and Susan Kyle and there have been a few in recent times that haven't been up to total Diana's best, but this one was a true disappointment. I was very excited to see it being offered and had it reserved only to be very disappointed with the read. The hero John, although had some more depth that the usual cowboy could have gone so much further with a deeper story. And Sassy, again, without a strong story, just withered and died as a heroine. There was too much that was just left out, not even alluded to... just plain left out...like... the entire wedding night Diana. Her sensual writing has always been such a strong point and her western heroes so delicious but this was a real sad story. And the whole sexual predator angle could have really been a page turner but again, fell flat. And the cancer aspect....come on Diana...in today's time...do you really want us to believe that doctors would have this poor woman suffering needlessly and then it takes a master surgeon to realize that she just needed an operation to recover completely. Oh Diana. Maybe you need to get away for a little while and recharge your batteries. We miss your wonderfully written western heroes with their strong attitudes and sensual natures and their heroines with their sassiness. This wasn't it by a long shot.

Though I tire of Palmer's devotion to the virginal woman/experienced male scenario, I will often overlook it for a good story. Unfortunately, this wasn't. There was so much potential in these characters, but they ended up having no depth. I kept reading, hoping something would develop, but as I neared the end of the book, I realized it was just going to play out as predictably as I feared. Even when I know there will be a happy ending, I enjoy the misunderstandings and conflicts along the way that require resolution, the missteps and questions that require trust and forgiveness. There was no complexity, nothing you could sink your teeth into. Even the revelation to Sassy that the very identity of her hero was a lie resulted in barely a hiccup along the way. My hope for more from Sassy and John kept me reading, but in the end, I felt I had wasted my time.

This book started out great - a good detailed visual of building a cattle ranch and I was fascinated. We've got a single man (John) in his 30's who is heading up this new ranch and using his middle name as a last name so he's not instantly recognized as 'that millionaire'. When he goes into the local feed store he meets 19 year old Sassy who's being harassed by her boss and he steps in to ultimately save her.

Our hero is good natured, has a kind heart, and seems like a great boss too. The heroine is working hard to live at poverty level - supporting her dying (cancer) mother + her little (adopted) sister. She has no thoughts of herself - wanting, longing... she just takes care of her family and counts her blessings. The heroine does not grow during this story. She's just who she is start to finish, and I had a hard time believing we were talking about a 19 year old girl.

There was definitely enough plot line and detail to keep this story going, I just didn't like where it went. I'm ok with stories about innocent young virgins, but I just wasn't buying that this was an all consuming love, felt more like they made each other feel good so they decided to get hitched up.

If you want a super sweet story - this may be your ticket.

3.5 Stars

One word: Sweet

This is a new Medicine Ridge Story, featuring John Callister. The Callisters recently bought a farm in Hollister, and John came down to oversee the renovations. While in town, he meets Sassy Peale, who works at a feed store. Like most millionaires in romances, he changes his last name so he could walk around town as a normal guy. He finds himself attracted to Sassy, but didn't feel comfortable with dating someone so young. Soon, circumstances brought them together, but he still had to tell her who he really is.

This book was a pleasant, straightforward read. Diana Palmer's recent stories had heroes that acted like jerks and going out of their way to abuse, harass and embarrass their heroines. And this story, John is the total opposite. He goes all out to protect and rescue Sassy, no matter the cost. A really great guy. Our girl, Sassy, is still the typical Diana Palmer heroine. Meaning, she's still straight out of high school. In this case, nineteen (I don't know why author can't just add 2-3 more years to their ages). She takes care of her family without complaining, happy to be surrounded by her loving family and friends. The perfect girl. I liked it but didn't love it. Normally, I'm all for smooth sailing romances, but this was maybe a little too smooth, little too predictable. I wished there were more quick witted, humorous conversations or emotional conflicts that I usually enjoy in Palmer's other romances. All in all, a cute story. - Diana Palmer Novels - Long Tall Texans - Western Romance'

Cuisinart Coffee On Demand - no carafe, coffee on demand

I have a perfectly good Cuisinart DCC-1200, but after spotting the 2000 at a local store I couldn't stop fiddling with the floor model. Well, my wife was lurking as I was fiddling and with my birthday coming up - and my affinity for coffee - she thought she'd found the perfect gift. Boy was she was right!

Now let's be honest, carafe-less designs have been around forever - Farberware's stainless steel coffee pots are staples in offices and at parties - they just haven't been this much fun. I'm not going to repeat everything that's already been written, but suffice to say the 2000 is a unique coffee maker. Does it make coffee better than my 1200 did? No, not really. But it does keep it hot longer, without the bitter, burnt taste that would often accompany the coffee from my 1200 when left on the warming plate for over 30 minutes. I normally have two cups every morning (not the puny 5-ounce "cups" that every coffee maker seems to think is the norm for whatever reason), but I've found myself having about three (maybe not a good thing?) since getting the 2000 because that third cup, about 1-1/2 hours later still tastes great. That wasn't happening with the 1200. Sometimes I'd try the third cup, but the burnt carafe taste made it unfortunate.

One of the complaints I'm reading here is that you need a separate container to fill the 2000. I can't be the only owner that owns a Pyrex 2-cup (or more) measuring cup can I? I just fill it up once, twice - gasp! - three times and pour it in while watching the water level on the side. Honestly, it's not that hard. Cleaning is no different from any model with a carafe. But instead of washing the outer carafe you remove the inner "carafe" to rinse it out or give it a thorough cleaning. That's the only difference. The coffee gauge is kind of silly and inaccurate and I rarely ever look at it, but it adds to the allure of the 2000.

I'll be keeping my 1200 at the ready for my sister to use when she comes over to make her dreadful flavored coffees so they don't contaminate my new toy. But until the next great design advance comes along to which I can't say "no," I'll be enjoying the 2000 to the fullest. It's neat, it's fun and it makes great coffee. Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee-on-Demand 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Brushed Metal

This is really a great coffee maker. The negative reviews all seem to be fixated on the fact that you have to pour water into the reservoir, and the unit doesn't come with a container for this purpose!! Is Cuisinart the Devil? Should I call my lawyer and file a class action suit? What is wrong with people today? Is is really that difficult to procure a plastic pitcher of some sort, fill it with water and then transfer that water into the coffee maker? I think not, and I do it one or two time a day myself without covering my kitchen counters with water. If you are not able to pour water from a pitcher into the reservoir of a coffee machine, I really do not think that you should be trusted with a hot cup of coffee either.

The coffee tastes great, never burnt. It is easy to program and clean and does not take up a whole lot of room. It also comes with one of those re-usable, permanent gold filters which many companies sell separately for about $20. My girlfriend can operate this thing easily, and she has a hard time figuring out the remote control for the TV. If she can program this unit, so can you. As to the other negative comments I have read which describe a powerless, malfunctioning unit, I have had no problems whatsoever with mine. Hope this review was useful, thanks for reading it.

We just purchased this coffee maker. Very unique design in that it uses no carafe but a tank inside the coffee maker to store the brewed coffee. You then press a lever to dispense the coffee. My wife has a habit of breaking the glass carafes and so this should avoid this problem in the future. The plastic tank holds the brew basket as well as the coffee and both are removable for cleaning. Full featured with LCD clock, auto start, and adjustable warming time. The most expensive coffee maker we have ever bought but it is well built and most importantly it makes great coffee.

UPDATE

Have to downgrade my rating to 1 star. While it made great coffee, the coffee maker kept failing. After going through 2 units we gave up and bought a Cuisinart DCC 1200 (with a carafe). We've had it almost two years and so far so good.

Cuisinart has known problem with this coffee maker. The lid builds up condensation and when you open it, it runs down the back and eventually your timer/brewing mechanism will go out. Multiple reviews have had the same problem. Granted, when I called Cuisinart, they are willing to replace it. (Immediately reached a customer service rep on a Sunday afternoon). But I have to pay the shipping out and include a $10 check for return shipping, and in the meantime, I am a month without a coffee maker.

Oh... and by the way, the customer service rep was immediately aware of the problem, so it is a known problem to Cuisinart as well. When I asked the customer service rep if I could replace this machine with a different machine since it is a known defect, she said no, you can only replace like machine for like machine. I guess your only hope is they will discontinue the product.

If you are unfortunate like me and only read this review after you have already purchased the product, my suggestion would be to open the lid just a small amount to hopefully prevent the condensation from running down the back and keeping it in the grinds basket. Then after the condensation has run off, open in the remainder of the way to remove the grinds or add water.

It's quick, quiet, clean, and looks good too.

Filling it up is EZ, especially if you have a sprayer hose thingy on your sink. Otherwise YES you will need another container (preferrably one with a spout) unless you're very adept & not clumsy. If you pour around the top sloppily it WILL get the counter wet, as others have noticed. The tank that holds the finished coffee does come out & you could use this as well but I think it would be kinda awkward, haven't tried it.

It does come with one water filter that supposedly is good for 2 months. Or just put your own filtered water in there & skip the filters all together.

The timer & clock is easily setup. It brews quietly with little gurgling and finishes with a few low non-obnoxious beeps. It's weird how quickly it sets up, I find myself standing there a few seconds afterwards trying to figure out what I forgot to do because it's that zippy of a process.

There are no swinging baskets to fiddle with - the top lifts straight up to give you access to the water area, the inner "pot" that holds the brewed coffee, and the two baskets for grounds. The larger square one is for using paper filters - this one must stay in the machine. The smaller gold filter fits in this one if you go paperless.

Coffee stays HOT but not stupidly dangerously hot like gas station coffee. The last cup is as good as the first - I've grabbed some 3 hours after brewing & tho cooling at that point (heater is on for 2 hours) the coffee tasted fine - not bitter or burned or evaporated down at all. As often as I'm up getting the last murky cup (roomie makes the pot at 5:30am) this makes me VERY happy. We use generic & Kroger brand coffees too, nothing gourmet except very rarely. I can't wait to put some REAL coffee in this to see how it does. Well actually I did today I forgot about that! Decaff southern pecan. It had a distinctive chocolate flavor that I've never experienced before, bonus!

I'd been reviewing & compairing coffee pots for a few months now looking for a number of features: extra cups (12), carafe-less or no-spill thermos, timer/clock. As a bonus this coffee maker is sexy. I like the stainless shiny plate that you put your cup on (and it never gets a drop on it) and the brushed stainless sides that wipe up instantly with a damp washrag - especially if it's hot. The finger marks just evaporate as you wipe. And it doesn't steam up the underside of the cabinets or walls either.

Serving is a breeze, just put your cup under & press the lever. Viola! For very tall cups the grill lifts out easily giving you an extra inch. For jumbo cups (like tall travel mugs) yeah you gonna have to pour in another cup & then dump into YOUR cup.

My only "EH!?" is the gold filter. The one that comes with it just feels a little flimsy to me, I have another one from an old pot I use instead. It's probably fine but I'm just used to the weight of the one I've got.

EDIT 8/30/06 STILL loving this coffee pot!!!!!

We make an average of 3 pots a day, sometimes 4. Still going strong, no problems at all. I run 2 cups of vinegar thru the system (top the rest off with water) to clean and then another pot of clear water to rinse. This keeps everything sparkling.

It's my favorite piece of kitchen equipment - to say the least. I FINALLY have a tidy area around the coffee pot with no drips or sloshed coffee. HURRAH!!!!! - Coffee On Demand - Cuisinart - Dcc-2000 - No Carafe'

Environmentally Friendly - earth friendly, environmentally friendly

I am very pleased with Ecos Laundry Detergent. Not only is it healthier to use because it contains no strange chemicals but it smells fantastic and actually works just as good if not better than your average detergent. I truly enjoy the fact that my clothes don't have that "perfumed" smell you typically get from most detergents, this product does have a smell (that of magnolia and lily) but it is rather faint and is from essential oils not artificial perfumes.

I highly recommend this laundry detergent. I also think it is a great buy here at Amazon.com because you get it in bulk. I reckon I now have enough to last me a whole year! Earth Friendly Products Ecos 2x Liquid Laundry Detergent, Magnolia & Lily, 100-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 4)

At frist I tried Seventh Generation but didn't care for it, I then found "Ecos" and it's by far "the best" laundry cleaner I've used, plus it comes with softner in it. Now I don't use the term "detergent" anymore because all the junk was taken out of it. I've used Ecos for quite while now and absolutely love it. Just a tiny bit goes a long way. I original found this product at World Market. This deal on Amazon is a good one, I'm signing up for automatic delivery. I would highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone. My clothes comes out clean, soft and I don't iron anymore. I don't know if it has to do with the "cleaner" but it's a wonderful thing. There is another cleaner that is good for dishes, that's "Planet". As far as other cleaners for the house I make my own now, they are earth friendly, cheap to make and clean really well. I can't believe how much money I've wasted in the past buying many different detergents, cleaners, sprays, etc. for our house, plus they have so much toxins and chemicals in them it's terrible. I wish everyone would take a good look at what is in their cleaning products because they get poured down our drains and you know where that ends up. It's amazing what companies call "natural", "healthy", there are no regulations right now for those terms, anyone can "say" anything about their product. The only regulation is for "organic". So you "MUST" look at what's in your cleaning product, foods in any form, detergents, facial cleansers, moisturizers, make-up, lotions, lipstick, deoderant, etc. it's amazing how many chemicals and toxins are in those items. Read the ingredients before you buy. Know what those words mean. There are websites where you can look up what's in the cosmetics you use, the moisturizers, the facial cleaners, the cleaning products for your house, etc. and find out how safe they are for you. If they're not safe for you imagin how unsafe they are for the earth because whatever you put on yourself or you clean with it eventually gets washed down the drain either in the sink or shower. Even soap!! Sorry for the long review but I wish everyone would take better care of themselves and look at what they're eating and take better care of the earth, it's not hard to do. In fact, it's even cheaper if you just make your own beauty products, cleaning products etc. you know what's in them and you know there are no chemicals or toxins. There are recipes on the web just look them up.

If "everyone" made a "little" effort could you imagin how that would affect the earth. Go back to basics.

This detergent is awesome! It works great on getting the dirt out of my kids' clothes! The Magnolia and Lily scent is wonderful, not heavy and perfumy, but just enough. It has fabric softener in it, so you don't need to purchase a separate bottle. The ingredients are 100% natural, so I feel better knowing all those toxic chemicals in traditional laundry soap aren't rubbing up against my kids's skin (have you checked out the ingredients in those major brands? Yuck.) Plus, this detergent is environmentally friendly, what could be better?

This is my all time favorite laundry detergent! I've been using the Ecos Magnolia/Lily for over a year and a half. My laundry comes out clean, soft, and smells heavenly. The Magnolia/Lily scent is light and just smells clean. It's not heavy or floral (which gives me a headache). I will never switch to another brand. I also love that Ecos is for High Efficiency washing machines and safe for the environment. The price on Amazon for Subscribe & Save on the 4-pack is the best. Ecos is over $13 a bottle where I live. Highly recommended...

I really wanted to like this detergent because I try to use as many environmentally friendly cleaning products as possible. Unfortunately, this stuff simply does not work to remove dirt and stains, AT ALL. I'm not talking about ketchup, oil, red wine or blood stains--as those can be tough to remove even with the harshest of chemicals. I'm talking simple dirt on a sock from shoes that got muddy, or dust from a reusable cloth that was used to wipe down some shelves, or soil from a dish cloth. Things come out of the washer looking like you forgot to add soap at all. I even tried boosting the laundry with Borax, using hot water, using a longer wash cycle... none of which did anything to make my laundry any cleaner.

The light, non-sickening fragrance is nice, and it's nice to see someone trying to make safer detergent. Unfortunately, I want my laundry to actually be clean if I am gonna expend the time, water, and electricity to get it done.

Please do not waste your money on this product unless you don't mind half of your laundry coming out looking like it's still dirty. It's not asking for miracles to expect your laundry detergent to get simple dirt out from a sock. Green products will never catch on with the mainstream unless they can produce some reasonably similar results to those products that harm our environment.

We are a very green family and have used 44 bottles of this laundry detergent since December 2008 -- all purchased from Amazon.(44 bottles in 28 months, or one bottle about every two weeks -- OK, I do laundry every day!) In the last three months, I noticed our clothing was beginning to "smell". Further, my whites had slowly become grey -- little by little. Over time, I had increased the amount of detergent per load. Then, I started to add chlorine bleach to my white loads. (Didn't want to do this, but I wanted clean clothing.)

Here are some facts: Initally, I loved this detergent. Clothes were clean (I had switched from Tide) and smelled fresh. Then, after 18 months of use I noticed that "ring around the collar" was happening. I bought some stain remover, and began pre-treating my laundry. Next, it became clear that my whites were not as white as I wanted. So I started adding more detergent -- not much at first, a smidge more, until I realized I was using twice as much detergent as I had at the beginning.

Then about three months ago, I went to adding bleach to my white loads. Now my whites are clean again, and hatefully, smell of chlorine.

My dark loads, which did not smell of chlorine because I did not bleach them, started to smell -- well, dirty. I did not really care about our blue jeans, but I suddenly realized that I did not want to get close to another person in a dark top -- because, well, I smelled dirty.

Initially, I put the smell down to the fact that I had not moved the clothes from washer to dryer or clothes line fast enough. But I knew that was just an excuse. My dark clothing definenitly smelled.

I went searching for another eco-friendy detergent, and found reviewers of PlanetPlanet Ultra Liquid Laundry Detergent, 100 Fluid-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 4) had experienced the same problem. Product good for a long time, in my case, 18 months, then the "smell".

So, I just cancelled my "subscribe and save" order for Ecos Liquid Laundry Detergent, Magnolia and Lily and went back to Tide.

So, it may be that one can use an eco-friendly, non-petroleum based detergent for quite a while -- maybe a year?

Then I think one needs to switch to a petroleum-based product -- for a while. I will come back to Ecos at some point in the future. But can't wear smelly clothes!

I hope the manufacturers of "eco-friendly" detergents will address this problem.

We have given this product five stars because it really works excellently for some time. Then fails dramatically. - Liquid Detergent - Eco-friendly - Earth Friendly - Environmentally Friendly'

Camcorder Batteries - video production, camcorder batteries

I purchased this battery as a spare for my Panasonic HDC-SD60K video camera. Visually, it looks like a duplicate of the original equipment battery that came with the camera. The first good sign was when it fit perfectly when I slid it into the camera's battery mount. The battery took it's first charge without a problem. When fully charged this battery also gives me the same amount of recording time as the battery that came with the camera, which is approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes. Panasonic VW-VBK180 Li-Ion Battery Pack

This battery is exactly like the one that came with the camera. It has more than met my expectations. Each use has given me almost 2 hours, 35 minutes recording time, which is same for the furnished battery. Very pleased.

I bought battery for a new Panisonic HD Camcorder. I used it the first time in 100 degree heat for several days in a row. I was recording my kid's baseball team playing in north Texas. My camcorder was in the heat and sun for several hours each day. I would start and stop recording at the beginning and end of each half inning (about 10 to 20 minutes). Each game lasted around 2 hours and some times more. My camcorder's SD cards would fill up before the battery was close to dying. Under these conditions I was extremely satisfied with the batteries life and would highly recommend it.

We purchased this battery to take with us on our Alaska vacation. We already had the smaller one but wanted to make sure we had enough battery time to take a lot of videos. Never once did we run this battery out of power, and we took a lot of videos. Seems to have at least 3 and a half hours per charge every time. Shipping was fast and no problems.

Panasonic HDC-TM55K Hi-Def Camcorder with 8GB Flash Memory & 35X Intelligent Zoom (Black)

Genuine factory battery, works just like the original that was included with the TM55 Panasonic camcorder and looks identical, too

no problems whatsoever, i get about 100 minutes out of it, with no time down for cooling

happy with it, would buy again

Handsfree Streaming A2dp Car-kit - belkin bluetooth auto aux, handsfree streaming a2dp car-kit

I am building a 'headunit replacement' in my car, because I couldn't find any headunit available that could do everything I wanted. Think of it like a carputer (computer in your car) but instead of a computer, your smart phone controls everything.

I combined this with a phone dock, a Clarion 7 channel EQ, a Kenwood amp to power my speakers, and an MTX amp and Boston subwoofer.

This is almost what I wanted! What I wanted out of this was a device that I could power on a switched 12v lead and leave inside my dash with only the mic/button sitting on my dash, so when I turned the car on I would have my phone linked up via bluetooth and have handsfree with the option of playing music. Well this device doesn't auto-connect, you have to push the (larger than I expected) button for it to connect.

-The mic seems to work great, the audio cable length is plenty and includes a good length optional extension as well.

-Audio levels are fine, most stereo's and EQ's have line level adjustments to set this so the volume level matches your other sources.

I think I'll be returning this before my 30 days are up and will try another car kit in hopes I'll find something exactly like this, except that auto-connects to my device without interaction. Belkin Bluetooth In-Car Adapter

I just bought this item after having a lot of trouble finding something that fit my needs. I wanted a bluetooth adapter for calls and music from my Android based phone that would output to the aux on my car stereo, and could be moved between cars.

This item consists of a cigarette adapter with a USB port(for charging the phone), and two wires. One is wired to a big glowing button that can end calls, start music, etc and contains the microphone. The other wire is the audio output to the stereo.

The item does everything I want it to. The only downside is that the button is magnetic, and they provide a magnetic strip to attach the button to your dash. I do not have a good flat surface on my car to mount it, so I hung it with a clip from one of the air vents. But that is more a reflection on my car design than the item.

I had been researching for a while and came across this product. Prior to this purchase i had been running an AUX cable from the back of my car stereo into the phone. This would leave a long cable out and just made it look really sloppy. I read the reviews and felt majority were positive enough. I installed this right away and ran the cables so that they were hidden. Prior reviewers complained of the sound quality, DO NOT listen to these reviews. The sound quality is amazing and there are no flaws in that department. I think it might have been issues with their CD players or the quality of the music and not this product. I cannot comment on the Bluetooth portion, due to the fact that my cars cabin is not quiet enough for this to work in a way that it should. The bottom line is that for this price and the quality this is a good buy. Disregard previous reviews.

I took a big risk purchasing this product, since Belkin is known for making poor quality products... The risk was worth it! I could not be more pleased with this product so far. Not only does this product look cool and actually work as advertised, but there is no other solution quite like this (most similar products are built into a mounting base). Once unboxed, the first thing you will notice is the size and design. This thing is small! The diameter of the "disc" is about the size of a Poker chip. You can mount it anywhere you want using the included mounting disc, and the cord is also long enough to plug into a center console outlet but still mount to the dash. Everything you need is included in the box. Setup was super easy -- just plug it in and pair with your device. It works great with my iPhone 4. The quality of the Bluetooth speakerphone is what you would expect from devices like this -- it sounds clear on your end, but clearly sounds like a speakerphone on the other end. Just make sure to mount it in a position where the microphone (above the Belkin logo) can pick up your voice.

We have a 2010 Honda CR-V which has two 12 volt power supplies; one below the radio and one on the console between the driver and passenger seat which also houses the MP3 jack.

This device is excellent for my purposes which is to either play my iPhone songs or streaming radio music. It does both well. There was no bluetooth hesitation and the pairing from the Belkin device to my iPhone was easy. The only thing I wish it would do is to pair automatically after the initial pairing like my Motorola bluetooth headphone.

At first I thought there would be a problem since the MP3 connector cable was short; made to connect to the radio jack. The CR-V jack is at least 18" away. Surprisingly, an extension cable is included which provided enough length to connect to the jack. Now I can have the device mounted near the radio with the included tape and magnet). I ran all the wires under the floor mats so they don't get in the was; almost like it it built-in now. If I need more or less bass/treble I can adjust through the car stereo function.

I used this with the Magellan Roadmate navigation app on my iPhone and now can really hear the turn-by turn instructions through the vehicle speakers.

Great product and purchase.

I bought this product having never used an A2DP receiver before, so I was a bit skeptical about how audio quality would be, for both music and calls. When I finished pairing the device, which took all of 30 seconds, I immediately started up PowerAMP on my HTC Thunderbolt and hit play. I honestly could not tell a difference between the bluetooth connection and a straight wired one. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting a bluetooth enabled car.

This bluetooth car kit is easy, intuitive, and works great! Other reviews fault having to push a button and no flat surfaces in their car to attach it too -- focusing on the design and technology it looks and works great and, with an iPhone anyway, there are no issues with weak volume. It works so well I am getting a power converter so I can use one as home as well. - Handsfree Streaming A2dp Car-kit - Belkin Bluetooth Auto Aux'

Super Mario Bros - hat, newsboy caps

I love this hat. It fits and stays on because it has an elasticized back, and stayed on even in a high wind when others' hats were blowing off. The bill is deep enough to shade your eyes against the sun, and the fabric is good quality cotton. Most of all - I love the way it looks! White Cotton Elastic Newsboy Caps (size 7)

The hat arrived with what looks like a pencil line across the brim. I tried erasing it, with no luck. Rather than deal with the inconvenience of returning it, I bought a few cute buttons and sewed them across the line. The hat is also advertised as 100% cotton but the lining is definitely not cotton; it appears to be polyester.

The fabric has a denim feel, bright white and well made. Hat fits great and has the elastic back to adjust to fit anyone. Hat has the button on the top which adds a nice touch. I would only wear this with casual attire. Great for summer!

I lost all my hair recently due to chemotherapy treatments. Was looking for a lightweight summer hat that offers full coverage (e.g. hat covers the head all the way to the neck in the back). This hat is perfect and I've received lots of compliments from people about how cute it is. Durable but not too stiff.

This is the perfect Louisiana cap. With so much humidity you can pull all of your hair up in it and still look stylish. Being made of cotton it isn't hot. I love it and I have received lots of compliments.

Building a "Fire Mario" costume became a lot easier when I found this hat. Standard baseball caps don't have the right shape - this one does. It's comfortable, fits snugly (perhaps a tiny bit TOO snug for me, but I have a large head, so I fully expected this), and best of all, it's got the perfect shape for the look I'm going for. A little bit of creativity on my part (still need to attach my 'M'), and it'll be all set!

A definite recommendation for finishing off your favorite video game plumber costume... - Newsboy Caps - Hat - Costume - E4hats'

The Disc version costs $120 currently, and product key version $106.

The Disc version can be installed on three PC's instead of just one for the product key version.

The Disc version provides for easier emergency recovery/reinstall (no downloads) compared to the product key version. Microsoft Office Home & Student 2010 Product Key Card

**On A Clean PC** = This key works flawlessly when used to activate Office Home/Student that has been downloaded from the website ([...]) provided in the editorial review. It is written that the website can be accessed for a limitied time and I have no idea how long that is. It still exists as of this writing. To reiterate, using the online download version together with the product key offered here results in a trouble free install - On a Clean PC, (no prior install of Office). An install disk can be purchased from MS for about $15 after tax (free s/h), at the time you do the download, if you want one. I did not pre-install Office in leu of receiving the product key...I waited until it came in the mail (two days Amazon Prime), and activated it immediately after download.

(Installed on old (2005 or 2006 I think) Sony laptop VGN-SZ270P/C with 2gb ram running Vista from a clean install)

Well I bought this for my daughter in college, and nowhere in the ad did it say is was for computers that were preloaded with office 2010.

I had downloaded a trial of office 2010 from micorosft and they said all I needed was a key, so I purchased this key on Amazon and it really looked like the right key.

Did not realize until product was received and read the small print on the box.

Well in a nutshell the key would not work on that software.

After downloading new software which took about 5 hours from my daughters college dorm I was able to use this key.

Good luck to anyone that buys Microsoft Products.

Around 5 minutes after I typed in the product key it gave me an error message. Needed to fix errors produced by an older version, even though this was a new Acer PC. I clicked on OK and it took 40 minutes or so to finish installation. Then I got an error message saying the installation had failed.

At this point, here is what you do. Open the "Microsoft Office" program again from the start menu. It will give you the option to repair the installation. Click on that. In 40 minutes or so and after a reboot, you will have Office installed on your PC.

Why do they make us go through this?

I just recently installed this software on our new i5 PC and I think it is so cool. The GUI is so sleek and clean looking in fact much better layout and build than MS Office 2007. It is also a lot easier to use. I would recommend this product.

If you do not need to put MS Office on multiple computers, this is all you need. My laptop for work came with MS Office Starter, which had limited abilities and options and finally didn't work for me the way I needed it to. In the end I had to purchase the full version and this was the least expensive way to do so. It did the job and was very simple to do.

The install was difficult. I had the 2007 trial on my computer and once the program got to the end step it would stop. I called Microsoft and was told by the first person they could not help me. The second time I called I got help. It took them at least an hour to get it on my computer because they had to use some of their programs to remove 2007 and I could not have done that with the add/remove on the computer. Once they had finished with the set up process and everything was installed it runs great. I love it compared to 2007. Very easy to use.

My only difficulty with this product was the lack of instructions to uninstall the trial version that came preloaded on my laptop. Any previous versions of the product must be uninstalled. Until I did that, my Office 2010 would not install. Microsoft help line finally solved the problem.

This item was offered as a deal from Amazon after purchasing a pc. Now, I like OFFICE programs a lot, but I failed to review the contents and restrictions, which are: there are only 4 programs and user's can only install it on machines with Office 2010 PRE-INSTALLED. I do have a new machine that fits the bill, BUT... how many more machines will I buy before Office 2010 is replaced by Office 2012 (just supposing one arrives then)and how many will have Office 2010 pre-installed? I'd say ZERO! So, I'll get a single use out of a 3-use Key Card. Darn it! You see, I assumed -from years of experience with WINDOWS, that Outlook and Publisher were always an integral part of OFFICE. Wrong! Microsoft has trimmed it for the student budget; yet what does the productive student in need of those project-oriented programs do? I guess this package is for the "less productive" among us.With that said, I suppose I can live without OUTLOOK and PUBLISHER on this machine, two programs I normally use a lot. Luckily I have two other business machines that have fully loaded OFFICE 2007. I did run the four programs and they work and look fine, even a bit cooler than previous version, as far as new features. If you did expect OUTLOOK and PUBLISHER --like I did, now you won't be disappointed. If you don't use those programs you may be happy with just WORD, POWERPOINT, EXCEL and ONE NOTE. In searching for an email client I discovered Ultrafunk Popcorn! Look it up. - 2010 - Microsoft - Word - Office'

Horrible - useless

This was a horrible buy. I wish I could give it zero stars. I also wish it was worth something to send it back. The support cords where frayed in a couple of places. The rubber tube that is supposed to go over the bow was slide over completely to one side of the cords.... making for a good 30 mins of sliding it into the middle so I could use it. the pole is poorly made, one of the pole button clips was broken and rattles inside the pole. I ended up drilling another hole and placing a screw in it. The supports put some stress on your windshields so make sure you have those small support legs on them or you could damage your windshield. Even after playing with it day after day I never could get it tight enough to get rid of my puddles in the back of the boat.

It was usless in the end and I ended up making my own support system out of plywood and PVC pipe. Cannot recommend this product. Cheaper to buy some things, be creative, and make your own support system. Cover Up Boat Cover Support

where do I start ??

First ... no instructions just the picture on the front of the box... not to helpful.

Middle... The aluminum support pole doesnt support so well.

Last... straps, straps, and even more straps. Without any instructions my assembly ability was limited.

After carefully reading most of reviews, I knew I need this product. In California the rainy season started several weeks ago. I store my boat in open area. Like many of us I am trying to save my boat from elements using decent cover, but am refusing to use expensive under the roof storage options. Regular, well fitting universal cover for my 20 foot Bayliner cuddy boat is doing its job very well, but after every rain i needed to visit my boat in storage facility and take care of about one from the front and three buckets of the water from back of the boat

Reading complains that this support is having way too long webbing and two triangular plates instead of expected one only???, I knew I will find a good use of them. Every model of boat is different and in my opinion it's virtually impossible to build cheaply anti-rain support fitting perfectly all of them without a need for adjustments. In this kind of installation, invention and open mind is very welcome, so I used them to get it working right. One thing I found unsatisfactory in this set was too short mast. It might work on bass boat but in my Bayliner the windshield is about 4.5- 5 ft from the floor, the fully extended mast supplied was at least six inches too short. This should be corrected by maker of this support. All the rest is just fine. Second triangular plate (the one with slots not cut open) is for supporting the mast from the bottom. My floor is carpeted and strong, so I do not need plate on the floor and saved it as eventual replacement of the upper one, in case it brakes after years of use.

My first installation was a copy of their suggestion. So I put mast about 1 foot behind the windshield and 2-3 inches above it. (To achieve this I cut the piece of metal broom stick of very similar diameter, nicely extending the length of supplied one. Source: Albertson's - cost about S4.00). The webbing was installed from the high rail on the bow to the mast and splitting there. From mast two webbings were going to clevises installed in my boat at two rear corners of the hull. After that I was left with extra triangular board and about 30 ft of extra webbing. I went home happy with the look of the boat and waited for the next rain. It came three days later. Results? Perfectly dry back of the boat and about one bucket of water trapped between high rail on both sides of boat and two narrowly spaced webbings, going from mast to the bow. To correct the problem, using left-over webbing, I added two more webbings on each side, going from mast to the rail about half way between windshield and bow. About week later another rain hit hard. Next morning I visited the boat. No drop of water found, problem solved. If maker of this support reads these reviews, PLEASE SUPPLY LONGER MAST AND EXPLAIN THE NEED TO BE CREATIVE, giving a few more hints how to protect the boat from accumulation of water. Covers when dry, might look pretty tight, but after wind and rain water starts working on them, they develop first pockets which become deeper as heavy water fills them. The trick is to make a shape of cover this way, that even when wet, it will not start collecting the water, even in small amount. Boat shapes differ greatly. My boat is happy with the purchased support. I give four starts only as the piece of broom stick deserves the remaining fifth. - Useless'

Corsair - corsair, ram

Don't listen to W. Garrahan's review.

This kit, if put in a proper I7 motherboard with tri channel and 3 slots will be fine.

XP won't recognize the 6gb ram but will not slow your pc down at all.XP 64 would be better but I'd go windows 7, I won't install vista or Vista64.

This kit is rock solid, superfast and easily handles more voltage and oc. Corsair Dominator 6 GB PC3-12800 1600MHz 240-pin Triple Channel Core i7 DDR3 CAS 8 Memory Kit CMP6GX3M3A1600C8

For those of you new to building Core i7 based PCs, be aware that in order to run this RAM at 1600, you will have to set the memory profile to XMP in the BIOS, or on some motherboards, fill in the timings manually. These are printed on each of the 3 sticks so they shouldn't be hard to find. Not doing so will cause the RAM to run below 1600, or on some boards, not be stable.

Now that I've owned these for nearly a year I feel I can comment on them. And the comment is: Flawless. I'm even going to buy a second set to upgrade to 12GB.

I am using these with a Intel Core i7 920 on an Asus P6T6 WS Revolution motherboard.

When I was choosing the various pieces for my new gaming/multimedia powerhouse PC the RAM choice, obviously, was a critical thing to consider, and Corsair "Dominator" has proved to be the best-performing, fastest, most stable SDRAM I've ever had the privilege of working with. I am flat out telling everyone reading this review that you are about to invest in the finest SDRAM in the marketplace of retail products, bar none!

Dominator is right! Holy Stuffed PC's! I have had my Corsair SDRAM doing everything but sitting up and "barking" for me, while I sorted out the OverClocking potential of the new PC, via air-cooling only, and it's just incredible performing SDRAM. I have had it overclocked some 266Mhz at one point, to 1866Mhz in my EVGA motherboard's BIOS/CMOS settings, and it laughed at me! NO PROBLEMA, senor!

I ended up backing the SDRAM down to 2:6 ratio in the BIOS/800Mhz, just to stabilize the CPU's high clock (3.6Ghz setting, stable as a Spring Chicken (!) with all components registering 100%, across-the-board stability for one week, and counting), but I had it set at 738Mhz DRAM Frequency for many days, and it didn't complain one little bit, was never the reason for me adjusting things downward at any time.

Where do I start? OK, let's start with the construction of the DIMMs, something of note right away that needs describing and publicity, so I'll do my best here, but don't hold me down for not trying...

Each DIMM, in its packaging, is set into a separate double-walled plastic container, inside of the shipping/display box, and there are 3 in a pack. You cannot buy them separately, as Corsair sells 6GB of Dominator in a package for "Triple Channel" memory use only. Each DIMM is heavily shielded and protected from any external forces, and from the great dread enemy HEAT itself, by a rather huge heat-sink contraption. It encompasses the entire DIMM but for about 2mm of its surface, down where the gold contact points are where the DIMM inserts into its DRAM slot in the motherboard.

That heat sink is quite a thing to behold! It has something like 25 individual fins on the top, and it "cradles" the DIMM itself in a physical "wall" to both protect it and keep it cool, no matter what the application is. They mean business like crazy with their heat-sink construction and execution! The only concern I had after examining the DIMMs after I removed them for installation was whether they'd physically fit in the computer! There is only so much space on a motherboard for the RAM installation, and when I finally got ready to install the board into my HAF 932 case, literally putting the board onto 9 standoffs that jut outward from the case surface to keep the motherboard physically off the case, I wanted to have the base DIMM configuration in there, didn't want to fool around with my 4 base DIMMs from outside of the case.

And when I finally installed the 4, I was amazed that they indeed did fit! There is a scant mm or two between each one, but Corsair obviously thought this all out before I built the PC I just finished, a lot more than I did for sure! And they all DO fit, whether you're using just 3, or all 6 slots as I do, these Dominator DIMMs will fit into the slots just fine...it turns out!

So, the heat sinks on each DIMM do have obvious benefits, much like those on certain Mac Pro computers I am familiar with, but I didn't know just how much of a benefit they were until much later in my project...when I literally took readings on the inside of my case with a heat-gun measuring device, so I could pinpoint any potential "hot spots" or thermal zones in the inside of my build-up that could/would be hazardous to its health...more about that later.

Now, there needs to be some clarification about the install of these DIMMs in a given motherboard setup, so here's what I learned, and I didn't practice or do a trial-and-error session because I couldn't afford the time to do such a thing, nor would I WANT to do such a thing with a brand new computer build. So here goes, I'll do my best and keep this as short as I can, but it's going to be through, so bear with me.

I've read here from other reviewers that you need to "break in" or "seat" each DIMM in the chassis separately first, restart the computer, and go on installing DIMM after DIMM until you fully populate your build. WRONG! Totally unnecessary!! Do your reading, nice people, and you will save yourself a lot of time, trouble, and problems just go away instead of randomly happen to you.

I went to the Corsair web site, and did some reading in their FAQ's first, did some reading via Google Search on other people's installation tips, mostly concentrating on advanced builds like mine would be, and finally, I called Corsair's USA support people and talked to somebody, not just anybody, a supervisor in in the Tech Dept there. To a one, all of these reports that I read online, and in the FAQ's, and then followed that up with a chat with the supervisor-guy, they all pointed to simply following this precept: check out your motherboard's recommendations as for RAM/SDRAM installation, and go with it, and things will be aok fine!

With my EVGA xx758 1366-compatible SLI-3X motherboard, there was a specific chapter in the instructions and descriptions of DIMM installation that told you what to do with multiple configurations of DIMMs, and it was so easy that I just had to laugh a little about it! In the EVGA board you populated slots 1-2, 3-4 first, then added slot 5 after your initial power-up of the system, restart, then shut down and add slot 6, and then, you're DONE! It was just that easy...no hocus pocus, no multiple restarts, no fooling around at all. Frankly, I don't know WHERE people have been getting their information about these DIMMs, but that's how you install them with the configuration being 6 DIMMs, ie populating the board fully, maxxing out the SDRAM to the tune of 12GB in my case. And there is NO OTHER WAY of doing it, that's IT!

If I was using 3 DIMMs or 6GB of SDRAM, there's another procedure, but I am not going into it now, as space is precious and bandwidth here is all about the Corsair architecture, its functioning, and installing it should be something handled somewhere else...perhaps in the Forum here perhaps, I don't know. All I can say is follow the directions for your motherboard, to the letter and don't deviate from them, and all will be well, you'll be fine with these DIMMs, they are a piece of cake to install and use!

Now let's get to the more intricate part of using this multi-faceted array of SDRAM, and that's the voltage and clocking aspects of using it, and using it successfully, optimally shall I write. The SDRAM is capable of feats like I've never seen before, since I've never had anything like this before to work with, have pretty much taken the conservative road when it comes to memory in a given CPU system...even Macs, you know? And there is a vast difference in Macs and PC's no doubt!! With a Mac, their RAM is very specific and certain, and if you deviate from the specs you'll have problems for sure...with a PC things are quite different, as with PC's the SDRAM is "adjustable" in terms of setting the BIOS settings for a given type of SDRAM in a specific case, installation, or use.

Now, you have your choice, yah? You can configure it exactly like the manufacturer says you should, OR, if doing some Clocking of your system, you can take the other route, and that's utilizing the adjustments in BIOS to tailor your SDRAM exactly to the specs you want, the ones that work for your installation and CPU adjustments. And here I leave the door wide open for comments from the people who are used to this sort of work, because this was my first attempt at making an overclocked PC work to the 110%-degree, and it was a work in progress for me for the better part of one week. Yup, I'll admit it freely, and openly, this build took some time to get right considering what I eventually settled on in terms of CPU clocking and SDRAM clocking.

Corsair says that you can utilize up to 1.65V or less, to make things work well with a given PC installation. Well, I agree, and couldn't agree more with their assessment of their own SDRAM. There's no point in pushing the SDRAM to its maximum voltage adjustments just because it seems to be the way to go, what everybody is doing with theirs, yah? Each case is unique with a PC build, and I wasn't going to bother with anything that was extreme because I was NOT using water cooling, wasn't going to clock my CPU excessively, just do what was reasonable to achieve reliable, consistent, solid performance...that's ALL I wanted to do, no more no less.

I had the Corsair Dominator SDRAM placed anywhere from 1.60v to 1.65v during my week of 'adjustments' to optimum, and I had the DRAM clock trimmed from 800Mhz to 1600Mhz in BIOS, virtually all over the place, while I searched for the exact combination that would make this PC hummmm! Finally, when I was done experimenting with BIOS and CPU ratio and DIMM voltage and DRAM settings, I realized that the SDRAM has to be the No.1 stable thing for long-term high performance, not just some quickie "happy to go fast" deal where you get the PC up to some ridiculous speed for a few minutes, take a screen shot for the Forums and board, and say "Look at me, I got my 2.67Ghz CPU up to 4Ghz with just air cooling!" Right!

I don't think that would work for me, nor did it, because I do something with my CPU's, all of them, and it's a little unusual perhaps, but do it nonetheless I do, and it's not going to change anytime soon. I do a little thing called Folding@Home with my PC's and Mac's...they all do it, and they do it 24/7 because I'm committed to the program, and have been since 10/2004. Stanford University's FAH Program will be spoken of in the future as a ground-breaking, research-backed program that created miracles for the scientists and educators, and researchers who worked in it and made things happen in regard to protein synthesis and folding, where the good, the bad, and the ugly things happen to life.

Just briefly, FAHome puts 100% CPU and SDRAM on the line as long as you choose to have your computers participate, there IS no "middle of the road" with FAHome, because if you have a CPU folding, its processor is maxxed out to the tune of 100% of its "spare CPU cycles", and that is unlike any other program or test that I am personally aware of. It will stress your CPU 100% 24/7, and you'd best get it right because there is no mercy, for PC or Mac, there is NONE! So, once I got the PC "right as rain", it meant that it passed muster with FAHome, that it could partake in the program just like my other computers do, and get some Work Units done without worry, without care, and without crashing or having problems.

Thus came to be my adjustments with this SDRAM. They had to be right as rain, perfect in every regard, no holds barred, no punches pulled, in order to have a perfectly fine, and overclocked PC that didn't have any problems at all. So the SDRAM settings were crucial, and intricate, and they ended up being a little different than anything I'd read about here or at the other Forums, but then again, I was not reading about people doing FAHome with their home-brewed PC's. Mostly they were playing high-end online games, doing some graphics or film rendering or composition, maybe just had their CPU overclocked for the hell of it, for all I know...some people build things just to say they can do it, I guess, what do I know?

Well, this build was for science as much as it is for ME, yah? My Macs and PC's do work for me, and they do work for Stanford in the background, 24/7, anytime they are on, and that's ALL the time. Finally, I settled on a very low clocking for the SDRAM because my CPU ended up being 3.6Ghz with only air cooling, from a base Mhz of 2.67Ghz, a huge bump upward that makes it truly worth of the label, "Nehalem CPU, the most powerful CPU in the world right now."

I have the SDRAM set at 8, 8, 8, 24, 88 and 2T Clocks in BIOS, and the frequency that works best for my purposes is 1067Mhz. I've got a happy, and stable PC set there, and that's pretty much it. The Corsair SDRAM runs cool, cool, cool no matter what I'm doing with the computer, whether it's just letting FAH run, playing Call of Duty: World at War, with the PC hooked up to my Samsung 40" HD LCD TV, working on photography in Photoshop CS3, LightRoom, and rendering the photos into poster-prints or 8.5"x11" prints for clients, or making a movie with Pinnacle Studio, Sony Vegas 5 Pro, and my other secret editing tool, good old Windows Media Center in Vista Ultimate 64-bit! Hah-hah! Sounds a little bit 'off' to write that, yah, but that's what works for me, and I use it for quick views of anything that I'm working on.

The best part about having this SDRAM is that it CAN be clocked waaay over my settings, and take it, and be aok fine with that sort of setting. It's got a LOT of Headroom, yes it does! You've got energy, settings, power in reserve should you ever need it, and the Corsair SDRAM will take it, and deal with it, and not cause problems.

I didn't mind paying a premium for this stuff, it's worth it totally, no doubt, and I'd do it again given the chance. From the impressive packaging, to the heat sinks, to the plain as day settings marked on the side of each DIMM, Corsair Dominator is very, very professionally done SDRAM, the finest of its kind, the highest base-clock SDRAM that you can buy right now. It will take overclocking settings, and eat them up and spit them back at you. It runs cool, the heat sinks do their job, and each DIMM is pretty much a work of art in itself, just to "look" at them is KUHL! I've got 6 of these inside my custom PC build, giving the PC 12GB of memory power for anything I want to do, and I just love it to the maxx, it's such a great product...I've never purchased anything quite this special before, and I definitely appreciate it 100%.

Kudos to Corsair, and Kudos to Amazon.com for having it priced so competitively that they made me get it from them! It goes without saying that my heart was in my stomach for a couple days, as the SDRAM shipment made its way from Kentucky/Tennessee out to California via the USPS, and it didn't come Priority Mail either...! But get out to me it did, and I have to give Amazon.com a compliment for packing it very, very carefully, and getting it to me for free with Super Saver Shipping.

This is the Good Stuff, Amazon.com people, guys and gals, and you should think about having some in your PC if you want only the best in it, bar none. I give this SDRAM 5-Stars ***** for performance, build quality, adjustability, packaging and last but not least, sex appeal! Yes, this one is IT, and I don't know what else to write about it except this: if you ever find anything better, please comment here in this revue about it and tell me about it, ok? I just don't think anything better exists.

Digital Camera Memory - memory card, sandisk

Standard SD and SDHC cards look identical in size and shape, only SDHC-compatible products will be able to accept the new SDHC cards. SanDisk differentiates its new cards with the new SDHC logo on the card and retail package.

Now my web research finds that at the time of its release Wes Brewer, vice president of consumer product marketing at SanDisk, said, "In order to provide the easiest and most compatible solution for 4GB and larger capacity SDHC cards in the market, SanDisk chose to bundle its new MicroMate USB 2.0 SD/SDHC compatible card reader, which normally retails for $19.99, with this new card."

Note this deal does not include a reader.

In my case the device I bought it for can read it. Without the dedicated reader my year old HP computer cannot . Sandisk 4GB Secure Digital SD HC Memory Card (SDSDB-4096, BULK, No Reader)

This is a must for loading music to listen to on my Palm TX. But BEWARE of eek Technoligies and buying at this price. They wanted $13.20 for shipping a 2 oz memory card? Buy from someone else even if it is a few dollars more and pay reasonable shipping rates. Don't be fooled by their cheap price they make it up 2x in shippoing charges. When I saw it I cancelled my order..

I played around with the prices on this and found out several things. If I order this item, $11 in shipping costs is added by the third party supplier! If I get the 2G version, even two of them, those qualify for free shipping from Amazon and come out much cheaper. So check your prices on these before ordering. My hunch is that you can probably pick this 4G up cheaper at your local electronics/computer store...

It's nice to have 4GB in your camera and be able to take pictures at max resolution and not have to worry about running out of space. I've been using SanDisk cards for 6 years now and never had a single problem. Be warned however, if you have a somewhat older digital camera, it may not recognize a card of this size and the card will be useless. I don't know why they don't mention this in the product spec, hence the 4 stars. Check your camera's user manual for max memory capabilities, if any.

I purchased this card five months ago and used it without incident. I was happy with the amount of space on the card. Suddenly today, for no apparent reason, a message came up saying "memory card error". I cannot access the photos on my card with my external card reader. I cannot use the card in my camera. The photos on the card are lost, and that makes me quite sad.

Finding that this product does not work in my one year old Canon camera I contacted the company and was given a list of cameras which do support it. This list belongs on the product description at the Amazon site. Besides the nuisance, I'll be out the $4.50 shipping cost for shipping an item requiring .59 cents postage.

The Sandisk site says this disk is compatible, and the user manual for the Canon Powershot 590IS says the camera can use SD or SDHC memory cards, so I assumed this card would be compatible. It wasn't. The camera says "memory card locked!" even when the card is unlocked. I'm giving this a one star rating because everything I looked at says this card is compatible, but it wasn't. For the Sandisk compatiblity site (which, of course, recommends their most expensive 32 and 16G cards first), see http://www.sandisk.com/Compatibility/Device(8725)-Canon-PowerShot_A590_IS.aspx . I haven't found a site so far that specifically recommends one card over another for this model of camera.

BAIT AND SWITCH ALERT! I ordered traditional blue normal San Disk 4 gb disks as advertised here for christmas gifts like digital cameras and to use myself with my camera. As of ten minutes ago, the ABX Protech listing (here at amazon.com) displayed the blue san disk memory card that I always buy from Best Buy, which is not a bulk item, and comes with a usb and reader. However that is not what this company sent. ABX ProTech pulled a bait and switch, shipping an entirely different product, that does not work with my digital items.

BEWARE! If you order this, you will not get the Traditional Blue San Disk memory card that they advertise and what they send will not work with your regular electronic devices.

Particularly problematic is that the ad- which was up until a moment ago when I complained- showed the standard blue memory card, and now they have changed it. Luckily I printed copies of my order and took a print screen image of their ad from today showing how they advertise one item and shipped another.

Even more shady, there was no packing slip or invoice in the package and they charged enormous shipping fees ($15.00) for a tiny envelope package weighing less than 2 ounces that they mailed first class.

I have requested a full refund- including shipping and handling, but have not heard back. ABX Protech has a very restrictive and laborious refund policy under which you may not ship anything back until you receive a "return" number from them.

Avoid ABX protech at ALL COSTS!

This is a great addition to a digital camera if you shoot video clips.

Just make sure that the digital camera supports SD cards over 2Gb. You can usually be confident it will work if the device is labeled SD HC compliant (SD HC is the 4-32Gb standard). It may work in other devices (my Kodak camera is not labeled for SD HC but the card works.) - Digital Camera Memory - Sandisk - Sandisk 4gb - Memory Card'

Bruce Campbell - comedy, b movie

If you only read one book this year, then you are an illiterate fool. But this should be the book you read. Bruce Campbell, cult hero (and actor), wrote the perfect book for his fans - it drips with charisma, his clever and self-depreciating humor, and a genuine personal and honest touch you rarely find in your run-of-the-mill, ghost-written Hollywood memoir. And it has everything a Deadite could want - very amusing anecdotes of his early childhood and teen years, tons and tons of photos, fascinating behind-the-scenes info about the making (and funding) of the Evil Dead movies, and tons of valuable insight into the Hollywood system, from the point of view of the low man on the totem pole.I found his casual, anecdotal writing style really fun, although I agree with critics that he doesn't get too detailed or self-analytical about his personal life. He also breezes over his television work, which might frustrate Brisco and Xena fans. But in general, Bruce Campbell - an extremely likeable guy - succeeds with this extremely likeable book.Hail to the king! If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor

Bruce Campbell's autobiography is an immensely fun read. Written conversationally (admittedly one-sided, unless you're given to talking to inanimate objects), the book provides a frank and surprisingly objective look at Campbell's life and career.

The book begins with Campbell's childhood in rural/suburban Michigan and the transformation that took place in high school when he met the Raimi brothers. How Campbell's career intersects time and again with the Raimi's and other high school cohorts is presented throughout the book. When one thinks of Hollywood bigshots, backstabbing and betrayal come to mind before lifelong friendships. Perhaps that explains why Bruce Campbell isn't a Hollywood bigshot - but why he has a huge fan following nonetheless.

In detailing the blood (Karo syrup-based and real), sweat and tears that went into making the first Evil Dead feature, the book presents scenes that are as horrifying as anything in the movie itself (it also provides the best tangential recipe I've come across since I read Clifford Stoll's The Cuckoo's Egg), but it also makes it seem like a ton of fun. Probably a quarter of the book is devoted to the Evil Dead process: conception, prototype, capital-raising, filming, editing, distribution, etc. Even with the documentary features on the Evil Dead DVDs, there's plenty of new information here. If you're not aware of what goes into making a feature film, this is an eye opener.

Campbell doesn't go into as much detail about what goes into TV production, but he does share some interesting and amusing anecdotes (including details of David Duchovny's embarrassing flatulence problems).

Perhaps the most interesting part of the autobiography deals with the impact the 9/11 attack had on the promotional tour for the first edition of the book. Three years later, when most discussion of the event involves finger-pointing and blame-placing, it is interesting to read Campbell's take on how he and his wife did their best to keep their lives on course in the days and weeks after the WTC bombings. If you hadn't already gotten that Campbell is a do-whatever-it-takes trouper in the main body of the book, it becomes eminently clear in the appendix.

If you're a Bruce Campbell fan like I am, buy this book. Even if you don't want to make it big in the film industry, you'll find yourself yearning for a digital camera and a couple gullible friends by the time you finish reading it.

This book is just plain fun to read. Okay, sure... you get some interesting insight into the struggles it takes to be a working actor in Stage, Film, TV and that spore-infested place called Hollywood. I certainly enjoyed anecdotes about the Evil Dead films, Brisco County Jr., Congo, Hercules, Xena, the X-files and more... But lets face it, Bruce Campbell brings one thing to his roles that got me interested enough to buy the book in the first place: a sense of fun. And *that* is represented in his writing in spades. For proof, I merely had to catch my wife (whose usual reaction to any Bruce Campbell masterpiece is to groan in despair) happily reading this book herself... This turned out to be fairly easy, since every other page had her laughing out loud.I didn't complain, since I had already finished it... I read the entire thing cover to cover (a fairly meaty 300 pages) the same day it arrived. It's written in such a lively, engaging style that it was never put down for long.If you're interested enough to read these reviews, then you're interested enough to buy the book and enjoy the heck out of it.

OK, maybe it could be better organized, maybe it has a few moments of weird formatting, but this book is a fascinating journey through the life and mind of the beloved, hard-working, slightly off-kilter Bruce Campbell. It's as close as many people will get to sitting down and shooting the breeze with the actor about life, film, and television.Quite simply, this is one man's story - but like anything from the heart, you learn a lot about quite a few other things - and in this case, most of what you learn about is film, television, Holywood, and the fact that acting, when you get down to it, is difficult work that doesn't make most people rich - if they stick with it at all.Find out how the Rami brothers started. Read about Bruce's love of acting and the hardships he endured for something he really enjoyed. Get the dirt on Evil Dead. Read about the ups and the many downs of movie and acting careers. Get a little insight into how Hollywood has changed over the years. Read about the horror of special effects and makeup. If you've ever enjoyed Bruce Campbell in a role and want to get a glimpse of the non-glamorous, real side of Hollywood, get this book. You'll meet a remarkable individual who's really not different than the rest of us, and he'll show you all the sides of movies and TV most people forget to mention. In the end, the book is both interesting, educational, and actually inspiring - seeing one boy from Detroit make it in movies and telvision will really make you think. Seeing what he was willing to face will make you think about what you'd be willing to give up for what you love. - Autobiography - B Movie - Comedy - Book'

Boat Accesorie - boat covers

I've used this pole for a few years. It tended to break at the pole joints under side stress when picking it up to place it in the boat. I used some PVC pipe down the center and duct tape to hold the joints together. It looked cheesey but worked.

The best features of this product is the mushroom top that helps to spread the weight off a single point and a wide base. There is a small hole in the top of the mushroom into which you can screw a snap. If you have a snap already on the cover this will help keep it where you want it on the cover. The wide base keeps it from moving or falling as you are finishing putting on the cover.

This year I took the best of 2 worlds and got an aluminum adjustable height pole and fitted the mushroom top and base to it. This is a little more expensive but worth the cost in aggravation. Classic Accessories Boat Cover Support Pole (Black)

It's a tad flimsy, but seems strong enough. It didn't work for what I needed, but that's more my fault. easy to store under a seat on a boat since it breaks down, you need straps or something to hold it in position, having it just under the cover, even with a tight pull on the cover, will not keep it in place. That's what I was hoping for, but oh well. - Boat Covers'
