Lounge Pants - sweat pants, athletic pants

I really like the pants and the are incredibly conformable and they are a good length on me, however i am only 5.2 and the pant legs just barley touch the ground. Also they are called rollover waist but i have to wear them unrolled to even reach my hips, i do wish the waist part of the pant was a little longer so they could be rolled over. Again the mediums I bought fit me fine in the waste unrolled and in the leg but I am only 5.2 I would go up a size if your any taller then that. Over all i love the pants and i wear them all the time but they are pretty short. Cotton Lycra Yoga Pants with Roll Over Waist 11 Colors

so they run small for yoga pants and definetly arnt made for anyone with a butt. i too could not fold over at least in the back and hardly in the front. They seem way more cotton then lycra and just strech out and fall down after a couple hours of wear...kinda wish I didnt buy 5 pairs now...colors and price are greatCotton Lycra Yoga Pants with Fold Over Waist-11 Colors - Athletic Pants - Active Pants - Alkii - Sweat Pants'

Iphone 4 Case - iphone 4, exercise

I received the TuneBand and thought the instructions very clear. Once the iPhone 4 was inserted in the case, it felt very secure. I also thought the case looked nice enough that I removed the strap and kept the phone in it for the rest of the day. The strap fit me well and I was impressed to see that the company can provide a longer or short strap if required.

Initially I placed the device on the side of my upper arm but then shifted it to the front of my upper arm to give the GPS better view of the sky. I also started with the device strapped around my shirt sleeve. Eventually I attached the device directly to my upper arm and covered the device with my sleeve. I don't think any of these changes really affected the quality of the GPS signal. I'd definitely recommend attaching the strap directly to your arm and not over the shirt.

As for the performance of the device, it couldn't be better. I've logged about 75 miles running over the past couple weeks and I've been very comfortable wearing the device. Once I attached the strap directly to my arm, it hasn't slid around or down at all and I've not worried that my phone would slip out or off my arm.

I'd definitely order one again. Tuneband for iPhone 4, Grantwood Technology's Armband, Silicone Skin, and Front and Back Screen Protector, Black

Disclaimer: I'm a repeat customer. I used the Tuneband on my 3G iPhone, as well. So while I haven't needed any customer service from Grantwood Tech with regard to my iPhone 4 they did provide great service for my 3G case (free updated case for 3G iphone and really quick response to email. My emails were answered by the co-owner of the company!)

So, on to the Tuneband for iPhone 4

Great little case! Apple had already sent me a bumper, which in a way is pretty slick -- but the bumper really bulks up the iPhone 4. Initially, I thought I would use the Bumper for daily use and the Tuneband for running/working out but I use the Tuneband exclusively now.

Pros:

Fits the phone really well.

Isn't too bulky

Very easy to put on and take off

Fits the hand nicely

Protects the phone from minor drops

comes with screen and back protectors (I haven't tried these yet)

Nice, comfortable armband

Very secure when running

A little grippy, but still slides into a pocket

Slim fitting--slips right into my belt holster (Grantwood Tech QuickFlip Case *****)

Several colors available

Great support if needed

Cons:

Not terribly pretty

So that's it. The only con is that is's just a rubber slip cover. I had thought I would be taking it off because the iPhone 4 is so nice looking I hated to hide it. But I really like the protection of the Tuneband. I would hate to let a minor drop ruin my iphone.

Oh, as an example of how slim fitting this case is: My iPhone 4 w/Bumper didn't really fit into my QuickFlip case (belt holster). I could jam it in there, and did, but was difficult to get back out. (I emailed Grantwood about the tight fit in the QuickFlip Case with the Bumper and they responded that later production of the QuickFlip would have a little more room for the iPhone w/Bumper.) With the Tuneband on, the iPhone slips easy in and out of the QuickFlip case. It is really much slimmer than the Bumper.

I used a Tuneband for my iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and I will now use this one for my iPhone 4. This is a simple design that gets the job done at a good price. It is comfortable and durable. I've tried at least 4 different brands of arm bands for the iPhone and this is by far the best one. Highly recommended.

I was thrilled to upgrade to the iPhone 4G but not so thrilled to find a new running case. I wish so badly that someone would make a good case that can ATTACH and DETACH from an arm band!! Since I couldn't find one...I'm left using 2 different cases, 1 for everyday use and 1 for running. Err! Daytime use: OtterBOX Defender Running use: TuneBand

Pros: Easy to take on and off, stays in place while running, good looking

Cons: would NOT protect your phone from a fall/drop (b/c its very thin, similar to ear buds), no real screen protector...just a clear "sticky" shield that you have to attach to your phone (I didn't do this b/c I use another case with a real screen protector during the day)

**Overall, it does the job but I really wish that OtterBOX had a running case.

This case nicely fits the iPhone4, and holds it securely enough. It's better for walking or low impact sports like skating than for running, where the weight of the iPhone4 is noticeable. Can't blame that on the case.

Overall Use:

Ran with this for about 1 month several times a week. Works great. The screen is exposed which is what I liked the most...I hate having to fiddle with plastic coverings. Even the home button is open so you can touch the actual button...sweet.

Size/Fitting:

Perfect Velcro strap for all sizes. My wife has used this as well with much smaller arms. I have an above average sized arm (as long as I am going to the gym regularly) and it still works great. In the package it says that if the band doesn't fit they will send another one to match your arm size...that's what I call service-but it should fit unless your 40lbs or on steroids.

Sweat/Moisture:

None, I sweat like a crazy person sometimes and I never had issues or sweat get on the phone.

Material Strength:

Soft and flexible yet very strong. I have been running pretty hard at times with this arm band and never experienced issues. It holds the phone secure, very well. I don't even worry about the phone falling out.

Cons:

None, UNLESS you prefer to run in the pooring rain. It has an open design on the face so this is not advised. Someone advised using this case as your primary case on another review however thats just dumb, dont be cheap - leave this one for running/walking/swimming. j/k about swimming. - Exercise - Armband - Running - Iphone 4'

Parker Safety Razor - wet shaving, shaving

Full disclaimer: the blood is my own fault. I'm a straight-razor novice. Given time, I'm sure, I would be an expert.

This is a decent, entry level straight razor. If you're given to epileptic fits, seizures, constant tremors in your limbs, or are generally a royal klutz, please steer clear of this product. If the above descriptors do not apply, then read on.

The handle affords a nice grip, the blade holder swings a full 180 degrees to choose the angle most suited to your own style, and the best part ... the angle holds! The last thing one needs to worry about is having the blade arm swing wildly as one prepares to maul one's face.

I had numerous cuts and nicks on the first attempt. The second attempt resulted in a smaller blood loss, but I did see red.

The key is to shave right after a decent shower. Lather, lather, lather. I cannot overstress the importance of lathering up. Even after you've covered the visage under a nice, thick coat of lather, periodically touch it up with the brush dipped in warm water (foam will cool off rapidly on your face).

Plan your shave. This is one morning activity that definitely requires alertness. Have your morning coffee/tea if you're so inclined. Do NOT drink those fluids if they give you the shakes! Plan your attack. Identify the areas you will work on first. Have the dehumidifying fan on, or wait for the after-shower mist to clear. Alert your family members not to unleash any practical jokes right about now.

Start with small, even strokes of the blade. I recommend working on smooth, flat areas like the cheeks and mustache. I bought this razor to use in conjunction with he Parker 22R (http://amzn.com/B0017QSZY4). A wise move indeed. It will be weeks before I attempt the neck and chin with the straight razor.

A very important point to consider is this - what will be the angle of incidence of the blade on face? Simply put, how much will you incline the blade when it meets the skin? Too flat (almost parallel to the face) and you're removing foam and slicing air. Too inclined and you're a menace to yourself. You will have to figure this out yourself. It depends on your skin, hair type, heaviness of growth, etc. Most importantly, it depends on your skill. Also, start with a very light touch. Don't press the razor in to your skin, but figure out how light is too light (you're not shaving at all) and then increase the pressure very judiciously.

Once you get the hang of this wonderful implement, you will have the best shaving experience of your life. The closest thing to the fabled barbershop shave.

Be safe and happy shaving! Parker SR1 Stainless Steel Straight Edge Razor and 5 Shark Super Stainless blades

I know, stupid review title. But what wasn't stupid was my purchase of the Parker SR1 stainless steel razor. After viewing straight edge shaving videos on Youtube (which I recommend), I became fascinated with the thought of trying it myself. When I saw the prices for disposable blades for the straight edge, I saw $ signs.

I think it really has become criminal what companies like Schick and Gillette are charging for disposable blades. They've also become completely carried away with creating blades with as many as five razors! Apparently you also need a battery for some, why, I have no idea. I used to use Atra Plus double blades with some sort of moisturizing strip. I even bought generic Rite Aid brands which were much cheaper but they were still about $1 per blade. I also typically got only a week out of a razor because of all the shaving cream and stubble that got caught between the blades. Trying to shave Monday after skipping the weekend usually meant changing the blade or trying to scrape all that gunk out of there. Yes, it's what I and most Americans have been raised on and it's definitely easier than a straight edge.

I originally purchased 100 Derby brand blades ($8.49), the plastic shaving factory razor, and a vile of styptic powder (you'll need this) all for about $22. That's 100 blades which last about 5-7 days depending on how thick your beard is. You can do the math but you don't need to be Einstein to know you are saving an unbelievable amount of money on razor blades. The problem with the plastic Shaving Factory razor I bought is that it's simply cheaply made. Eventually the round hinge will wear down and your razor will swing freely. The Parker is all metal, it holds the blade much more tightly and you'll discover there's a little rust on both razors when you change blades. The Parker is much easier to clean with a little toilet paper and water. I personally believe that the Parker for some reason, maybe due to its sturdiness, causes much fewer nicks and cuts. All in all, it's a great well made, professional straight razor.

This is a longer review than I intended but I might as well give you the heads up on shaving with a straight razor. The good news first, you CAN learn to shave with a straight razor and nick yourself very infrequently, like anything else it takes practice. For example, I haven't had a single nick in 2 or 3 weeks of daily shaving. I use regular shaving cream, maybe a brush is better but Edge gel with Aloe Vera is fine for me. I can get a good close shave in about 5 or 6 minutes. Then again I've been doing this for about 6 months and perfecting my technique.

Now for the bad news, in the beginning, you will cut yourself. One time I cut myself bad enough to consider tossing the blades and razor asking myself "I can easily afford regular disposable razors, why am I putting myself through this?" You will come to a point where you'll wonder if it's worth the hassle and some will go back to disposable Gillette's or maybe an electric razor. That's fine, I'm not an evangelist for straight razors. Then again, if you're careful (practically run the razor horizontal to your skin, remember the angle of attack is about 10 degrees, that's nearly horizontal to your skin), don't rush, keep the skin wet and add shaving cream to areas you want to shave again, go SLOW in the beginning, watch Youtube videos for some pointers. Rinse the razor in cold water. Shave after a shower or after washing your face with hot water. The upper lip was tough until I realized I can push my nose out of the way! Stretch your skin, contort your face to get as much of a horizontal surface as you can. Develop a routine and shave the same way every time.

Well that's about it, sorry about going on so long, this was supposed to be a review about the Parker SR1 and yes, I highly recommend it. Apparently it's what professional barbers who still give shaves use. It's a little odd how the blade fits in the razor but you'll get used to it quickly. Regarding my shaving experiences and advice, I hope it helps. I don't know exactly when it happened, but there was a day when I said, "Hey, I haven't cut myself in 2 or 3 weeks". After I noticed while changing blades I had used about 1/4 or 26 of the 100 blades I figure probably six months. I hope my advice helps and you will learn to master shaving with a straight razor in half the time it took me. Good luck. - Manual Shaving - Shaving - Razor - Wet Shaving'

Adventure - adventure, action

I will leave the story out of this review since there was a lack of it (main complaint).

This is a straight-forward button masher and dungeon crawler. Caddoc is the melee character (equipment includes swords, axes, and maces along with a shield) but can switch to a crossbow for long distance targets. E'Lara is the sniper/distance fighter that mainly uses bows, but will use a sword and shield. Both characters start with basic equipment, but you can find stronger equipment left by enemies, weapon racks, or at random places in each level (including armor). I find that you have to change your shields frequently since they will break after too much abuse. They have enchanted weapons scattered around the levels that will help you in the game. Plus you cannot hurt your partner in this game.

The game starts with a prologue with chapters (six of them). Each chapter is divided into a further six sub-chapters (which are further divided into areas). You begin in a forest, then a ransacked town, then dungeons, etc. till you reach Kala Moor (the final level).

Graphics: Gorgeous vistas to gritty and bloody dungeons can be found in this game. You will see lots violence (hearts or eyes ripped out, people being stabbed through, people crushed by falling debris, blood spurting over everything, etc.). The peasants look roughly the same (although I had to laugh at how all the women of the game are proportioned but it is a sell point for a particular market).

Gameplay: The gameplay is linear, but you can branch out into sub-quests. The sub-quests are just for stronger weapons or key items that can get you even stronger abilities. You will be given riddles or hints on plaques to indicate a potential sub-quest is nearby. The enemies do get stronger and more varied as you progress through the game, which makes it less predictable and fun to play. I also like the fact that when you dash in a level and want to find particular cover, you dash to it and your character immediately hides for cover. You can snipe enemies using this method while progressing through the level.

Sound: Voice acting is well done (Lucy "Xena" Lawless as Seraphin was a surprise I thoroughly enjoyed). The music is remarkable, and I felt that it deserved recognition.

Crucible: This is an online, multiplayer option in the game. You can create your own dungeon with the option of adding multiple enemies to them, adding siege weapons (ballista, catapult, etc.), or add limits/buffs to the characters. The only way to get any of these additions is to play the game and collect as much gold as possible to unlock particular options.

Replay value: Medium to high depending if you want to try out the crucible, go through the game via co-op, or just getting the trophies.

Weapons: The enchanted weapons are valuable during gameplay. You are restricted to the number of times you can use a weapon's effect (poison, frost, arcane, etc.). I love the fact that if you hit an enemy once with it, the enemy suffers a sustained effect but will not deplete the number for the weapon's effect if you keep hitting them with it. Once the enchantment reaches zero, it becomes a normal weapon.

Magic: Each character has 6 different spells can be further upgraded by using crystals or 5 pieces of crystal shards. The crystals can be found throughout the levels or shards can be dropped by enemies. You bring them to this rift which is a transaction point to upgrade these spells. Caddoc has a rage (attack strength and speed goes up), dash (lunges and knocks enemies back), whirlwind (lifts surrounding enemies up and slams them back on the ground), brimstone (explosion attack), lightning (connects with multiple enemies if they are close), and pain (a stationary circle surrounds you and damages all enemies that step into the circle). E'Lara has the same brimstone, lighting, and pain spells. E'lara has an exploding arrow spell, a freezing arrow spell (slows down or freezes enemies), and a shield-shattering arrow spell. You can also do a battle spell enhancement (by holding the cast button [R1 for PS3]) early in the game, but you can also use a spell link (chain of energy between the two characters) later in the game.

The Sleg: It's the silver liquid that has monsters and people addicted to it. You have a chance to drink this liquid multiple times to enhance your strength, but it will deplete your health after the effects wear off. If you drink this stuff frequently, your characters will make a dash to the liquid giving the enemies a chance to hurt you.

Complaints:

-I played this as a single player campaign, I notice that my AI partner either freezes in place or wanders away from the main battle where I need them the most. You will notice this a lot of chapter 5 and 6 (this will most likely be corrected soon).

-I like a complex, well rounded characters and both Caddoc and E'Lara have something that can be fleshed out in the game. Instead, you get snippets of their history and was never mentioned in the game again. I like their pasts giving them their drive and doing the things they do in order to make a game epic.

-I was freeing captives when I noticed that I started to hear crying, weeping, and sobbing in surround sound. It was saddening at first, then it got really annoying after some time.

-Playing an RPG (even a dungeon crawler) requires save points, and the only ones offered in this game are at random points at the end of an area. You cannot backtrack to the previous area without playing the sub-chapter all over again.

Overall: The game is excellent, but I feel that it is left unfinished. I believe there are multiple endings for this game, but I am not sure. The game offers at least 25+ hours of gameplay. I enjoyed the bickering between Caddoc and E'Lara through the game (I had to smile when spiders came up in the conversation). I will say that there is potential for a sequel to this game. I would have given it a perfect 5 if the story was more complex.

Personal Thoughts on the game:

-Characters: I believe that what Bethesda Softworks touched on in this game does work. Caddoc evidently had a history of rash decisions (that caused the death of his love) that caused him to behave like a tactician rather than a soldier. He does tend to whine more often in the game than E'Lara. E'Lara is brash and is someone who comes in with "guns blazing" type. Both are evidently obsessed with gold, but I wanted to know the reason why they want gold so badly. Was it because Caddoc didn't have the money to save his love? Did E'Lara could have prevented the destruction of her race with more cash? Unfortunately, the game doesn't reveal this and barely touch upon the main characters which could have been an epic story and game.

My stats:

Gold: 26,800 (Tier 16 of 30)

Trophies: 49%

Magic: Mastered all spells

Toy Story 3 - a bugs life, astronaut

I recently purchased this for my 2 year old son who is in to anything Toy Story.....for now.

It's a very nice alternative to the $25+ toys that they also sell. Especially when smaller kids' interests swing considerably every few months. It's nice to have an inexpensive option for him before Christmas and especially when Disney is trying to squeeze as much money out of the new Toy Story 3 release as they possibly can.

Pros

- Seems very durable. The arm and legs swivel but there aren't any tiny part or other moving pieces to break

- Price. Although I've seen this cheaper, it's not too expensive to pick up as an impulse buy to get your child something that they will think is the coolest toy in the world.

- Size. It's only about 4 inches tall or so. The more expensive ones are very large and seem too big IMO. My son moves the arms out and flies Buzz around our living room in one hand.

Cons

- Price. Had to put this here for those looking for cons. It can be found cheaper at some stores.

- Limitations. If you have a child who is older, this may not be a good toy. Younger kids have limited imaginations and this toy is perfect for the simple flight around the room or just sitting in their lap while they watch the movie. If you child is older, I can see this toy being a bit boring.

Overall I give this 4 stars. I knocked it a bit for amazons price being higher than a lot of stores I've seen it at (for those super-cost conscious shoppers). I also took a bit off for it's age limitations (this can be a pro for some and a con for others. Take your pick). I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars.

Overall, a very cheap and simple toy.

To infinity and beyond! BUZZ LIGHTYEAR Toy Story 3 Posable Action Figure - Disney / Pixar

This is a simple toy but perfect for kids with great imaginations, for growing imaginations and for alternatives to expensive models that will not stimulate the childrens imagination and allow it to grow. My son has the larger version with all the sayings also and forgot about it quickly and it went in the toy box. He "imagines" more with this toy and it will get a lot more use for a lot less price!

Remember to compare how many hours of play you'll get out of a toy to the cost. For example, he's probably played about 10 hours total so far with this toy and it only cost $12 so about $1.20/hour compared to the 7 hours with the $70 toy at about $10/hour. Definitely no comparison so far. He's only had both about a week and a half but you see my point. Hope this helps when you are shopping! :)

- A Bugs Life - Kids - Toy Story 3 - Astronaut'

Craft Kits

I sent this to my godchild for her 7th birthday. She really enjoyed making the little books and reading them to her mother. Her mom told me it was one of her favorite gifts. If the child you're buying for loves to draw and read, this is a winner. Create Your own 3 bitty books

My niece and daughter (both four) recently spent hours making their own story books with this wonderful little kit. The books are a perfect size (about the size of a small board book, only with regular pages), the quality of the cover is excellent, and the girls greatly enjoyed making their own books. The only problem, however, was that the pages do come out a little too easily for my taste. The binding is not sewn, but rather glued in a little like a notepad, and a surprisingly small amount of force in the wrong direction can rip a page out. Still, on balance the price is fantastic for what you get. I would have enjoyed this kit very much as a kid. As it is, I was very tempted to save the third book for myself to use.

My son was making books at school from manilla paper and bringing them home to work on them further. This find was great. He loved having an actual hardcover book to color himself and put his own story into. The markers and stickers were a bonus as well. The books are good quality and have plenty of pages for a short story. I'm sure we'll look into purchasing this again. Fun for parent and child.

There is something extra special about 'writing a book' to my kids that writing or drawing on plain paper or in a regular notebook just doesn't seem to approximate. These little books are just the right size and price for the kids to make something a little special, but not so expensive that I will be upset when they are eventually destroyed. (And they will be destroyed. These look more durable than I had expected given the price, but as another reviewer points out, the pages are just glued together.)

The books are about 4"x5" with 12 (or 24, I guess) pages inside each. Their binding, the stickers that come in the kit, and the book-holder box are all made of or covered in plain matte white paper and can be decorated with the markers. The paper inside the books is slightly heavier than regular printer paper but not quite cardstock. So far not even the five-year-old has managed to make the markers bleed through the paper.

Our eight-year-old has used another book-making kit in the past that involved writing and drawing on special pages, mailing those off, and then waiting and waiting and waiting to get the finished book back. We loved that kit and its finished product but it was definitely not instant gratification. It also cost about three times as much as this kit.

As nicely self-contained as this kit is, it would make a great travel/vacation toy or a great toy to have on hand if you're about to be visited by kids.

Did I mention we love it? We love it.

I got this for as a christmas presents for my cousin. She is quite the imaginary little 8 year old so this was perfect. She enjoyed making her own stories, and illustrating them as well. Over all was a great gift!'

Telescopic Fishing Rod - fishing rod, kids fishing

I purchased this rod/reel combo for the convenience of having an outfit that would fit inside my checked baggage when I travel on airlines. The initial performance was good; I used it to catch a dozen or so rainbow trout while fishing in the Donner Lake region of California. The padded bag survived the trip quite well, and storage is more than adequate. The only flaw I encountered was some loosening of the rod sections after several casts. If you don't pause to push everything in tightly periodically, the rod tip (or even the whole rod) will separate and get flung into the lake with your lure. Okuma VS-605-20 Voyager Spinning Travel Kit

I recently purchased a Okuma rod and reel travel pack. I used it a couple of times to make sure it worked ok before my trip. It is a very nice combo that casts easily and has a light enough action that I enjoyed using it to catch small panfish. The whole pack is a bit bulky but worth the space to make sure your rod and reel get to your destination in good shape.

Don't plan on whipping this out of the case in a hurry and dipping your hook in the water. It takes some setup and tear-down time, as it does not easily come apart to fit in the case with the reel attached and the line strung. Look somewhere else if you want a quick solution for back country fishing where compact is key. To its credit, the rod has nice action and the reel seems well built. Comes with no line and only one spool. It is not telescopic.

I got this item for a Christmas gift and it was perfect for the beginner fisherman. It was safely packed so nothing could get broken and was easily assembled. I strongly recommend this item for a gift for someone whose trying to get their fishing kit together.

I purchased this fishing rod for my grandson. He was thrilled with the case that the fishing rod came in. He can carry everything that he needs in the case and go fishing. He takes his bike so the case works very nice.

I've used this rod 2-3 times a week for the past three months and am, for the most part, satisfied with the purchase. The rod/reel combo is of good quality and there's room enough in the case for a basic set of tackle. The case fits very nicely on a mountain bike tail rack and has proven to be very durable.

Now the reel is not nearly as smooth as my $120 Shimano and the rod tip will occasionally come loose on a very energetic cast. Still, the action is much better than a typical telescopic travel rod and the price is definitely right. The trout seem to like it too.

I purchased this item about a month ago and had it shipped out to my FOB here in Iraq. I am deployed deployed in an area that has a small lake and there are some trout sized fish all the way up to 5 foot long carp and other species of related "freshwater" fish. I have used the pole about 10 times and nothing has went wrong with the quality of the pole or reel. The top of the base had cracked when i hooked into a fish simply because i didnt seat the first section of the rod in tight enough. Overall a GREAT buy for this product! I would recomend it to anyone that is looking for a reliable breakdown travel rod. Thanks for a grea product and providing shipping to military!

This is a good, compact unit for travel and camping. The rod assembles easily and seems to be of good quality. It is stored in sections, not telescoping. The reel was a little difficult to set up and adjust, but worked well when everything was assembled. The case is nice quality, but not lightweight ripstop - a little bulky and heavy for serious backpacking.

The Okuma Voyager Travel Pack is everything that I had expected. Today I went back on line at Amazon to order another one for my wife to use when we are on trips to Colardo, Ohio, etc. However, I got the message "Currently unavailable. We do not know when or if this item will be back in stock". I hope that the quickly restock this item.

Sad, I will now look elsewhere.

However, If I cannot find it, I will check back with Amazon - the service and delivery meet exceeded expectations. - Fishing Rod - Okuma - Fishing Gear - Kids Fishing'

Party Game - family game, social

The guys who brought us Cluzzle and Wits & Wagers are at it again. They have produced another crazy party game that is geared towards gamers and non-gamers alike. So is it as good as those games? Read on...

What do you get with Say Anything? The contents of Say Anything include a nice big rulesheet, a score board, a stack of question cards, 8 dry erase markers, 8 answer boards in different colors, 16 betting chips in the same 8 colors, and one Select-O-Matic 5000. All the components are good quality and will hold up to repeated plays. And Northstar went the extra mile by adding a unique symbol to each color so that the game is 100% color-blind friendly.

How does Say Anything work? Gameplay is really fairly simple. Each player gets a dry erase marker, an answer board, and the 2 chips that match the color of their board. One player starts as the judge by taking the Select-O-Matic 5000 and a question card. On each card are 5 different question, and the judge gets to pick whichever question he/she prefers to read. The questions are fairly wide-ranging, for instance "What is the most overrated song of all time?" or "What would be the worst pizza topping?"

Once the judge reads a question, the other players write an answer down on their boards and then place them face-up on the table. When all the answers are down, the judge uses the Select-O-Matic 5000 to secretly dial up the color of the board that has their favorite answer. Then the other players place their chips on the one or two answers they think the judge is most likely to choose (both on one or split them between two.) Then the judge reveals the selected answer.

The judge scores one point for each chip that is on the selected answer, up to a maximum of three points. The players score one point for each chip they had on the selected answer. And finally, the player who wrote the selected answer gets one point. Players take turns being the judge and once everyone has been the judge once or twice the highest score wins.

What do I think of Say Anything? Say Anything is simply a fun game to play. It starts up a lot of conversations as players talk and discuss why one answer is great and another is terrible. A lot of the questions are very humorous in nature, so there often is a lot of laughter around the table. One of the nicest things is that, just like in Wits & Wagers, you aren't really penalized harshly if you fail to come up with a good answer. This makes it so that players who may get annoyed with their lack of creativity are still able to participate, and even win. This really is the ultimate goal of a good party game: No downtime, lots of laughter and conversation, and everyone has a chance to win.

Who will enjoy Say Anything? Anyone who is looking for a good party game. Obviously if you are seeking a deep strategy game, you should look elsewhere. Say Anything is one of those games where you can't care too much about who wins because it's really all about the laughter and the conversation. It is a smashing success with my non-gaming family members, and they even preferred it over Wits & Wagers.

Any parting comments about Say Anything? Make sure you approach this game with the proper mindset. This is a casual game that delivers light fun and conversation. It has a little less strategy than Wits & Wagers, but it still works with the same groups of people. I expect this one to quickly climb over 10 plays for me by the end of the year because of its very short play-time and really simple rules explanation. Say Anything

I first played this game at the Gen Con board game convention, not knowing at all what it was about. After our first demo I knew I had to get it. I was very surprised because this game was actually fun with a large group of people that I didn't know at all! Now that I've got it back to my family, it's even more of a blast playing with people I do know!

I just LOVE the fact that I can explain it to people so quickly; no long drawn out rules. I even had one match where a friend of mine had to leave and another sat in (who had just arrived) and really didn't even need to ask how to play!

Another great aspect is that the game is really customized to the group you play with so it can be great fun with both a G rated group and an R rated group. It definitely helps to have a creative and humorous group of friends playing it though.

The one complaint I have though is the pens, they seem to dry out rather quickly. Although I can't complain much because with a quick email to Northstar I received a whole extra set of pens that allowed me to replace the dried out ones.

Overall I would bring this out at any party and recommend it. A fun way to get to know people and have a lot of laughs.

On the heels of the successful Wits & Wagers comes the 3rd offereing from Northstar Games: Say Anything!

Say Anything comes packed with a ton of random questions that players select to read to their friends. After eveyone writes down an opinion on their little wipeboard, the reader secretly decides the answer they like best. Everyone then bets on the answer(s) they think the reader will select. Once the reader's choice is revealed, points are scored.

This game plays a lot like Apples to Apples but is better on a few counts.

- The questions and anwers make sense. Since everyone writes tehir own, it is always applicable tot he question. There is no forcing of two unrelated cards.

- The game is more personal. It's all about you and your friends and what they like and think.

- There is a maximum 3 points that can be awarded to each player, each round. So it keeps the game tight until the end and balances a windfall of points on "obvious" answers.

- Though it is subjective, there is a chance to be consistent in answering if you know a little about the reader.

My friends have all enjoyed this game. This is another game where they play it and want to go out and buy it the next day. This is a great game that should be added to every party gamer's collection! - Board Game - Fun - Social - Family Game'
