Canon Printer Ink - canon printer ink, printer ink

Just an FYI; the ink set shown here (CLI-8BK, CLI-8M, CLI-8C, and CLI-8Y) also match what's needed in the Canon PIXMA MP530, save for the Canon PGI-5BK 2PK (sold separately). (As of this writing, the MP530 is not listed in the compatible printer list, though the MP500 is. Considering how confusing all this typically gets, I thought I'd mention it.)

Price is great; even better if you're with Amazon Prime (free 2-day shipping and inexpensive overnight shipping). Canon CLI-8 4-Color Multipack Ink Tanks in Retail Packaging

To correct an earlier reviewer, the bundling of these inks IS APPROPRIATE. I have a Canon Pixma MP830 and it uses the 4 CLI-8 cartridges along with the 5PGBK. You do not have to buy the bundle if your particular printer does not use the 5PGBK. Anyway, I checked all the major suppliers for genuine Canon cartridges (versus compatibles) and Amazon's price beats them all, especially with free shipping and no sales tax.

[Bordering on the ridiculous: 6/08 and Amazon is selling this 4-color pack for two dollars less than the 3-color (which omits Black 8). I've already accumulated 5 spare Black 8s from previous 4-pack purchases.]

I've discovered that the inconvenience may outweigh the few dollars saved by purchasing the combination pack. My Cyan and Magenta cartridges lasted only 4 weeks and 6 weeks respectively while the others are still going. Purchasing more combination packs would have resulted in a backlog of unused ink. You might order the package now and then (I wish it included Black 5 ink), but given the staggered depletion of ink cartridges, it frequently makes more sense to order the single cartridge. Moreover, the combination of Amazon's one-click ordering and no-postage Prime membershp makes it no less practical for the consumer to order individual cartridges as they expire (though I'm sure Amazon prefers to send out large quantities in the same order).

Before you install new ink cartridges, let the old ones completely run out, let the software indicator turn red. Otherwise Canon's software will not recognize that the tanks have been replaced and will continue to indicate your out of ink.

One reviewer suggested this bundle includes a PGBK ink tank, but it doesn't. (That would have been a screaming deal!) So if you own the PIXMA MP800R, you need to buy the PGI-5BK ink tank in addition to this bundle. Otherwise, this is a good deal. Even though I used "free" shipping from Amazon, they arrived in about 4 days.

Just wanted let people be aware that there appears to be a batch of these ink tanks where Canon has the wrong chip on the ink tank. This is causing the following error: "U071 - More than one ink tank of the following color is installed." I contacted Canon and they wanted $$$ to troubleshoot and would not send me a new ink tank. Also I bought the ink tanks from Amazon over 30 days ago and could not get a refund. I've used these before and didn't have a problem. But I would recommend that you try your ink tanks immediately so that you can still get a refund if there is a problem.

ALL printers eat ink and that's a fact. This bundle does not include the big black ink tank. Know that anywhere you go (office supply, whatever) this is how it's packaged by Canon. I have checked all the local office retail outlets and these babies run $15-$20 more plus gas and aggravation. I personally like the convenience of being able to get the colors separately rather than in one cartridge as was the case with my old printer (if you use one color more than the rest, the whole cartridge is shot). This is practical for me, and those that print in limited color ranges in large quantities (I do alot of brochures, biz cards, etc).

If you're printing alot of photos (high ink saturation) you will fly through cartridges like crazy no matter the brand. I don't so mine last longer than usual. I have also purchased an ink saving software that has helped tremendously with savings.....you may want to consider that. The initial investment has paid for itself many times over. My prints still look great regardless.

I appreciate the way Canon divides the ink because I've tossed too many cartridges not only because of using one color more, but also because of error messages because of taking the cartridge out to "reset" the machine. Oh well, my old Dell printer deserves to be launched off a 12 story building!

Anyhow, consider software to save your ink if you print alot for biz purposes like me. Also, consider what you are saving by printing your own photos versus traditional photo processing and you might change your mind. Fact of the matter is, printers eat ink...and to the person who compares these small cartridges to a huge laser toner tank I can only say "get real"! Laser printers are much more expensive to operate, and are not practical for everyone.

I have been very happy with my Canon Pixma printers. I currently have one in my office and one at my home office. I bought my office machine last summer. Then, this past winter, when my HP printer at my home office died, I replaced it with a Canon, as well. I've broken off my long term relationship with HP and have never looked back. Not once. While I recognize this is not a review about the printers, the fact remains that the printers are worthless without the ink. One thing I like about the Canon pixma ink cartridges is that they are priced significantly lower than the cartridges I purchased for my HP. The reason is simple: Instead of one color ink cartridge, there are 3 color cartridges. When the yellow runs out, simply replace the yellow. In the long run, this ends up being a lot more economical. Additionally, the print head is installed in the printer itself, not in the individual print cartridges, which also saves money. The CLI-8 4-pack is the best way to purchase these cartridges and I have not found a lower price than that offered at Amazon.com. I hate running out of ink, so I keep a couple packages on hand. When I am running low, I place an order online. Shipping and handling are free, there is no sales tax, and the price can't be beat. And yes, I am thrilled with the print quality of my Pixmas. I'm a Realtor. I print MLS sheets, letters, marketing materials, glossy brochures, and even post cards in limited quantity. I am particular about the quality of print and have been more than satisfied with the cartridges and printers. Only once did I have a problem with an ink cartridge. I kept receiving an error message telling me that the wrong tank was in the printer. I kept taking it out and putting it back in, turning the printer off, then on again. (Did the hokey pokey and I turned myself around....) Finally called Canon only to find out that the print cartridge was defective. They sent me a new one, so I can't really complain. Cover Up Consealer - consealer, cover up consealer

Light shows up orange against my very pale skin, and looks cakey and dry even when I moisturize and only apply a little. Not good coverage on red spots and pimples, even when you layer it on, you can still see the red through the orange.

I don't get why this product is so highly rated here, but on Makeupalley it's rated very poorly. Maybelline Pure Concealer, Light #610

I agree with the other reviewers. I love this product and the pencil size is perfect.

Like the other reviewers, I can no longer find this in my local stores and don't know

why they stopped carrying this product. But Thank Heavens for Amazon.

Power Tools - cordless tools, impact

I have been using a 14.4 dewalt xrp cordless screw/gun for the past 5 years and have had GREAT success with it. The original two batteries keep on ticking no problems at all plus the tool has taken heavy abuse (dropped, banged, etc. For drilling, the tool is great, can go through 1/4" plate steel no problem. For driving screws, lag bolts it gets the job done no problem but I have always had an interest in impact drivers. I have never used one before(air or cordless) so I figured I would give it a whirl. I am VERY loyal to brands. The screwgun was my first dewalt purchase and since then i have bought everything dewalt(router, table saw, angle grinder, circular saw, jigsaw.

So I brought the impact driver home, gave the batteries a full charge then let er rip on some 3" drywall screws. I was blown away. You blink, its in. I used to have to lean on the cordless screw gun to drive drywall screws.

Moved up to lag screws (5/16ths 3" inch no predrill) the dewalt laughed, no problem at all.

Moved up to taking nuts off 1/2 bolts that were touqed to 80ft/lbs, no problem.

My only regret is that I didnt purchase this tool earlier. Also, using both the impact driver and the drill together saves a TON of time not having the change bits.

I would pay $500 for this tool if I had to. DEWALT DC825KA 18-Volt Compact Impact Driver

This driver works well but gets EXTREMELY hot during extended use. It reached close to 130-135 degrees at the top of the grip and on the back of the motor housing not to mention the gear housing was hotter. The battery needs to cool for an hour before the charger will begin to charge. The driver needs a better cooling fan if it's to be used for more than 1/2 hour at a time. For intermittent use it would be fine. The forward/reverse switch could use a more positive detend and or more throw.

I had one of these for a few weeks but I returned it and purchased a Dewalt 18v drill/hammerdrill (DC925KA). The problem isn't with the tool itself, that is why I gave it 5 stars. As fas a a small bodied cordless impact driver goes, this thing is awesome. Very well balanced and ever so light for an 18v tool. My thoughts are this is best suited for assembly or maybe taking things apart. Not for drilling holes. The downside, it is an impact driver, not a drill. The drills have speed controls and torque settings. The impact does not. Well, in a sense I guess they do but they are controlled thru the trigger, not a physical switch or dial. I had purchased the 3/8 inch keyless chuck for the impact and it worked nicely also. Once again though, this impact driver is not a drill. It does not have the features of a drill because it is a different type of tool. I was told that if I bought the impact I would never want another drill. Well, I proved that wrong. The drill is bigger and heavier BUT, it will handle a 1/2 inch drill bit. The impact and keyless chuck will not. It is 3/8" as I stated earlier. They say the batteries last way longer on the impact driver. I do not know if this is true. When I returned the impact and told the store manager why he agreed with me. He has the same impact but he also has a drill. His words were "It really is hard if this is all you have". Being that I am using this as a home owner type of tool and not on a job site I need something that is more universal than the impact. As I said though, if you need an impact driver, this thing is awesome. If I ever have the need for an impact this will be the one I go for, no question about it. Oh, one last thing. You cannot use this tool for lugnuts on your car. Once they are broken loose you can take them off with it and then run them back on with it. Any breaking loose and tightening MUST be done with a larger torque wrench or a lug wrench. Just figured I would throw that in as I have read some reviews where people were complaining because it wouldn't work for that appliaction.

This impact works much better than Dewalt's previous model, also it is much more comfortable to use. It has a good deal of power for driving screws, I haven't tried drilling with it as I have a regular 18 volt drill for that. A previous reviewer said that the one he got has a great deal of runout, mine does not share that quality with his, I have no problem driving any kind of screw, except flat blade screws. I bought this mostly for driving screws into metal and it works great even better with the new nano batteries. I would reccomend this tool to any one who drive alot of fastners, especially if they drive larger fastners.

This dewalt 18v has plenty of power. I love the light, the size, and most all of the features. The only complaint I have is that it has an ozoney burnt smell when you use it, but it seems to lighten slightly the more i use it. I called dewalt corporation and they informed me it would go away over time. Can't wait! Over all I love the driver love the driver.

I have the 18 volt drill, which works very well, but is a bit larger and can't get into tight spaces, like betweeen rafters. This is perfect as a replacement for a right-angled drill. I also used it to fasten decking, which is ideal for that job. I can't wait to use it with my socket set. Great item!

Unlike my Ryobi the LED lights up to full brightness with a slight trigger pull before the motor powers up, and its much more compact. While it comes with Ni-Cad it can be upgraded to Li-ion any time, it can use ether battery

I have owned two of the regular duty impact drivers and have used them extensively. One of them is about worn out, so I tried the heavy duty model. I am very pleased and would definitely buy another one when I need it. I made the plunge and all of my cordless tools are DeWalt 18 volt. I really appreciate the interchangeable batteries. If you are debating on buying the heavy duty or standard duty impact driver, this is a recommendation for the heavy duty. The noticeable differences are the led light that turns on when the trigger is pressed and the smaller size. - Drill - Dewalt - Cordless Tools - Impact'

Caftans For Women

The material of this Kaftan is so soft...and light. The wide sash is loads of fun wrapped around your head. I purchased the Mustard Brown, and I'll definitely get another one in a different color. I wear it around the house and also to the store. If you're a Kaftan sort of woman, I highly recommend this. If you've never worn one, you'll be hooked the moment you put it on. One Size Traditional Kaftan Caftan - Many Colors Available (Chocolate Brown)

I was a little hesitant to order this caftan, because I am a Plus Size woman and "One Size" is notoriously one of the biggest lies in the garment industry. But this caftan fits, it's comfortable, and it washes well. What more can you ask? I purchased both the copper and the navy, and when I can budget for it, I'm going to get another color. I'll probably change my mind about the color several times before I order it, though!

I have purchased several of these over the past few years.

They are great for around the house summer wear, also for winter in the house with a light sweater, I found.

The material IS thin. You will need a slip if you are in the sunshine.

Or, a long wrap works well.

I would prefer to find a material not as thin, the seller once had solid color cotton caftans listed, but alas no more.

Fabric care is easy. I throw them in the machine, on a rinse only cycle, they can be hung up to dry or dried on "delicate" setting.

Color does not run or fade if washed in cold water.

For the price a good buy. I would suggest buying at least 2 to save on postage.

I bought one of these kaftans for something light and cool to wear on summer evenings. I liked it so much, I bought two more! They're wonderfully cool and airy, yet the rayon doesn't wrinkle and is super-easy to clean.

I order this Traditional Kaftan in purple for my sister who has past and always want to be buried in this type of african wear it was very pretty and the seller was very nice by making sure it got here on time I order at the last minute because I didn't see that color or type no where in stores my only promblem with this is that it's a little on the thin size but very beautiful I am greatful to the seller for his act of kindness thank you and yes I will be ordering again. Thank you Jackie'

Iphone 4 Screen Protector - iphone 4, iphone

These screen protectors definitely fall into the 'you get what you pay for' category.

Strike 1:

The screen protectors are *not* precisely cut. After several re-applications to ensure I was installing it correctly, there's still a micro-seam on one side that 'overhangs' the screen. Thinking I had a dud, I tried screen protector #2 from the 3-pack, only to find it worse than the first. This overhang creates an inability for the screen protector to properly seal - leaving a vertical stripe of non-seated protector film down the face of the iPhone 4.

Strike 2:

After scuttling #1 & #2 screen protectors, I tried #3. This one fit the best of the bunch, but was still clearly ill-cut. However, it had some surface bloom patterns (not air bubbles beneath the surface, but actual blotches of discoloration) that wouldn't wipe away - they're 'in' the plastic film. Sigh.

Strike 3:

No cutout for the front-facing camera. While I don't have any plans of using the FaceTime feature anytime soon, its omission from the design scheme, as well as the poor engineering noted above, makes it abundantly clear that quality control wasn't a priority (or consideration) in far-flung China.

Save yourself a few clams and skip these, fellow iPhone 4 owners. Wait for the Otterbox cases. Fosmon Transparent Clear Screen Protector for iPhone 4 4G HD with Lint Cleaning Cloth - 3 Pack

This film is not cut to the size that it need to be. It is the correct size of the iPhone 4 screen but the manufacturer clearly did not test it on the real iPhone 4. The film is maybe 0.5mm too big and the microscopic plastic layer on the edges does not allow for it to touch the glass on the edges. Hard to explain, but it looks great all around, except the round edges where it's not touching the glass.

To manufacturer:

1. Keep the packaging

2. Keep the same price

3. Remeasure the GLASS surface, not the overall front surface, because that plastic band screw things up for cover.

Then it will be great.

I felt compelled to review after seeing so many 1-star reviews for this product.

This thing fits the iPhone 4 perfectly. Maybe some of these other reviewers were applying it on an older model. The quality is definitely higher than that of the generic ones you see for $1-2 shipped from Hong Kong. The second peel off skin is usually the same on both sides of China made LCD protectors (which lifts the freshly applied skin off and allows dust in or bubbles to form) but this one has the very thin film as the second coating which is easy to remove and boasts it's overall superior material construction.

I have no idea what an earlier reviewer was talking about when he said the surface is uneven.. maybe he got a different order or his was subjected to heat. This is a great deal on amazon. Screen protectors are annoyingly difficult to apply, in general, and justifiably receive low reviews, but bashing this particular product for being low quality is unwarranted. For the extremely low price, the quality is paramount. I got mine on with just one tiny speck of trapped dust, on the second try, and that's fine for me.

Always remember to buy more than 1 screen protector because it's hard to do correctly the first (or even second) time!

I purchased this screen cover with a few hesitations after reading the poor reviews. But I figured for the price, it was worth a shot. I have been pleasantly surprised! The covers fit perfectly and stay put. I have a protective case for my iPhone 4 and the screen cover works perfectly with the case. Also, the screen cover has a hole cut out for the camera on the screen side of the phone - very nice! It is important that if you are using a case you line the cover up perfectly with the face of the phone or you will get a small bubble in one corner. Follow the directions carefully and you will have a bubble free screen protector. I love it and just ordered 3 more to keep on hand for the future! My guess is that the negative reviews are from poor application and not following the directions. I will say, that having never used or applied a screen protector before, I ended up using all 3 (I kept getting lint caught under it or put it on crooked). There's a learning curve to applying it right, but once I figured out what I was doing, it gave me a nice, smooth, protected surface. I couldn't be happier with these screen protectors!

I have used this brand of product before, and was very pleased with them. Installation is very easy, and the finished product looks very clean and sharp. The new display looks great. The reason that I gave this product a poor rating is that they did not make a cut out for the front facing camera. The film goes right over top of the camera hole. I doubt that Face Time will look very good now.

DO NOT BUY FOR I4. THE ONES I RECEIVED LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE DISPLAYED. THE PRODUCT IS A RECTANGLE THAT IS WIDER THAN THE PHONE BY ABOUT AN 1/8TH OF AN INCH AND SHORTER BY ABOUT A QUARTER OF AN INCH. NO CUT OUT FOR HOME BUTTON, CAMERA OR EAR HOLE. POOR PRODUCT. GLAD IT ONLY COST 72 CENTS. I WILL GLADLY PAY MORE MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT FITS. THIS IS CRAP.

Ok, the product cost me $.78 for 5 protectors and was sent in a envelope with a $.44 first class stamp, meaning somewhere in that $.34 difference there was production cost and profit. Go figure. After a month, I'm still on my first protector with no signs of wear.

I was wary of buying this item due to the large amount of negative reviews but after searching around, most of the screen protectors had negative reviews and this was the cheapest so I figured, "Whats 75 cents lost?" Now I can safely say Im glad I ordered this product! As long as you dust it off with the fiber cloths included in the package you will have a smooth application of the screen protector. You honestly cannot even tell its there! People were complaining that it didn't fit the front facing camera when in reality it fits it perfectly! The screen protector doesnt cover the front facing camera in any way. It is cute precisely and fits around everything accurately.PLEASE BUY THIS PRODUCT! - Iphone - Iphone 4 - Invisible Shield - Screen Protector'

Replacement Blades - wetshaving, razor

I give this blade 3 stars because it does an OK job, and is certainly better than some blades out there. And for some shavers, it is an excellent blade, so if this is your go-to blade don't be put off by my comments. But the truth is, there are a few other blades out there that will work better in your Merkur razor than the stock Merkur blade. Blades such as Personnas, Derbys (also sold on Amazon), Gillettes, and Feathers will generally do a better job in a Merkur. I only post this info because I own several Merkurs and have never found the Merkur blade to yield a good shave. YMMV, of course. Merkur Double Edge Razor Blades, Box of 10

Excellent blades that retain a sharp edge for many shaves. Although not recommended, I have gotten 50+shaves out of 1 blade. The closeness of the shave far outshines multi-blade systems and cuts out ingrown hairs with ease.

Do a search for Derby blades on amazon.com. You will find 100 for less than $20. The blades are of equal quality. I fell for these by purchasing a bundle. You will save money by getting the Derby blades.

Mekur makes a really great blade. While I have to change blades every three days I have yet to find a bad one in any of the packages. The price is higher than some of the other blades but you are paying for quality.

Hey guys, I bounce between a Dovo straight razor and an ancient Gilette safety razor. The Gilette is fed nothing but these Merkur blades and it gives me a great shave. Use anything less and you'll swear you shaved with a rusty steak knife!

I just used these blades for the first time after switching from cartridges to a de safety razor. They are a good baseline blade. Personally I think they do a great job. Much better than the cartridge razors now days. Gave me the best shave of my life.

I'm really happy i went to shaving with this "method" using the old style razor. It's more fun for me. It's hyped up a lot, but rationally though it's nice to have this kind of quality even if it's old school. These blades are pretty straight forwrd and definitely cheap compared to newer style razor blades.

I believe you can use these for a while, if you keep them dry and free of debris after shaving.

These blades seem to stay sharp for countles shaves. Even when I am in a rush, I get a close shave without having to go back over a spot. You can buy a box of razors for $1, or these, which actually are cheaper since they last for many, many shaves. I hate switching out a blade half way through a shave, with these ones I don't have that problem. I like the old school style of shaving; the new three blade razors are fine, but not for me.

I bought these when I first purchased my saftey razor. I have since purchased one of the sample packs that include several brands of blades and have found some that work better (for a more reasonable price). I would recommend going that route instead of spending your money on one brand. - Razor - Replacement Blades - Shaving - Wetshaving'

Rotary Tool Accessories

This set of 20 bits costs less than one high-quality diamond bit from other sources, and the bits did the job for which they were purchased.

Used them to drill two 1/8 inch diameter holes in non-tempered window glass. This must be done slowly to avoid overheating and possibly fracturing the glass. Used several different bits to change shapes in the hope of making it go faster. When done, the holes were fine and all of the bits still seemed to have their abrasive surfaces.

I've read elsewhere that a high-quality diamond bit will last for perhaps three holes like these, and that it takes about two minutes to make one hole. Well, it took about 30 minutes per hole, but more than half of that time was spent pausing to let the glass and bit cool off. Since all of the bits still have diamond grit on them, it seems likely that they'll be able to make several more holes before wearing out.

NOTE: Tempered glass probably will shatter if drilled. This window didn't have a "tempered" logo in the corner and looked normal when viewed through polarized sunglasses. Pro-Quality 20-Piece Diamond-Point Bit Set for Rotary Tool - Glass, Stone, Ceramic

These generic diamond point bits work great on my dremel rotary tool and the price for 20 of them is cheaper than buying 1 bit of the dremel brand. I use them for engraving on glass and they have been great.

One of these diamond tipped bits will run you between $8.00 - $10.00 at any retail or hardware store. This set has every bit for any project you could think of and the power to handle almost any material. It is definately worth the money. Works great on glass, metal, and stone.

I am very very satisfied.

The drill bits worked fine on soft materials such as seashells as long as I didn't put too much pressure on the bit. But on harder materials such as ceramic or stone, the diamond coating wore off very quickly, rendering the bit useless. And yes, I did use lubricant.

These bits were purchased primarily for drilling sea glass for jewelry making. Since this was my first attempt at such a project, I didn't want to spend a lot of money experimenting.

I'm still trying these out, but so far, so good. I like having the variety to play with. I am using these with a Dremel and they work great. I have no complaints.'

Mini Tripod - gorillapod, tripod

HOW BIG IS YOUR CAMERA? This is a great product, but if you buy one that's too weak to hold your camera's weight, you're going to be disappointed. The GP1 will hold up to 9.7 oz- basically your average small point-and-click digital camera only- think Elph. The GP2 will hold up to 1.75 lbs -smaller/lighter SLR cameras with short lenses only. The GP3 will hold up to 6.6 lbs and has a slightly larger camera attach point, similar to larger tripods -good for SLRs and smaller camcorders. Unless you want to spend 10-15 minutes fighting the gorilla to hold your camera without sagging (and forget about portrait/sideways shots), make sure you buy one that can support the weight! Otherwise it's tough to beat the versatility, reliability, and small size/weight of this tripod. From what I've seen of other reviews, you'll be disappointed with cheaper imitations as well. Joby GP1 Gorillapod Flexible Tripod (Blue)

Fantastic product. We bought this while looking for one of those mini tripods that you can velcro to another object and found this to be much better. The grip is strong and most situations can be accommodated. It's a little pricey, but well made so very much worth the cost. Older, heavier cameras may tend to overwhelm it in some positions, but for the most part, it works great. If nothing else, it replicates a "traditional" tripod well, and the added bending and gripping feature really makes the difference. I no longer have to balance the camera on the hood of the car with sticks and rocks to get a good photo of us during our travels. Everywhere we go, somebody stops us to ask where to get one... it's quite a spectacle.

I ordered an extra shoe so we can transfer the gorillapod from her camera to mine. If you're in the market for a new camera, try and get one with the tripod mounting shoe somewhat centrally located on the bottom of the camera. My fiance's camera has the tripod mount on one side so the camera wants to lean to the other side. Fortunately, the gorillapod is strong enough to resist this.

I still can't believe that this thing is real! And I'm blown away by the quality of the tripod.

The 'legs' are stiff enought that it doesn't fall out of shape as it holds the camera. Each little grey ring around the ball-like pieces are rubberized to help it grip onto objects. I have been able to mount my Canon SD600 and hold one 'foot' of the tripod while it remains in the shape I bent it into. The leg didn't change shape or sag at all.

I've had it on top of my LCD, hung it from a doorway, sitting on top of a lamp... I think the legs are long enough and the feet are 'grippy' enough to mount it to the side of a bowling ball!

The clip on top lets you mount and dismount the camera quite easily and without hassle. The only problem I could see is that with the mounting clip attached to the camera I can't put the camera in the fitted Canon carrying case that I have for the SD600. Well, it fits with it on, but very snug.

I can't stress how much I love this little tripod!! Get one; you won't be disappointed!

As long as you don't expect the world of the Gorillapod, it won't disappoint. I've had a slew of small tripods for years (to match my succession of digital cameras; I'm tough to please). My Ultrapod II is good, sturdy and stable, but often not as versatile as this. I'll still keep that one around, though, especially after I got the quick-release head for it. For me, a quick-release shoe is a very big plus. My full-size tripods have always had this feature, but I've never been able to find it on the minis until the Gorillapod. It's extremely useful. No more struggling with screwing the tripod in when you need to take that quick picture, desperately trying to keep from cross-threading and stripping the plastic mounting threads common on today's cameras. The Gorillapod snaps onto the camera in about three seconds. This won't hold my camera as still as my 4-pound tripods, but it's a heck of a lot lighter and easier to carry with me all the time. While Joby lists the maximum weight capacity as 12 ounces, my camera still works fine despite being a couple of ounces over that. If there's one thing I don't really like, it's that it does take a bit of fiddling to straighten out the legs after use. But if you're not obsessively neat, you probably won't mind some slightly crooked legs. If you really want a bit more stability, see the Gorillapod SLR. A quarter pound heavier and twice the price, but when you need it, sometimes you need to bite the bullet. Or get the Ultrapod II if having superflexible legs isn't of paramount importance. That's a couple of ounces heavier still compared with the Gorillapod SLR, but its rigid construction and Velcro strap make it more secure in iffy conditions.

I own a Canon PowerShot A550. The Gorillapod screws into the camera securely. The downside is that on the Canon (and Sony Cybershot DSC also) the screw is not in the center of the camera, but off to the left (if looking at the back of the camera). This off-set causes the camera to "slump" to the right because it's off-balance. To make matters worse, the button to take the photo is on the right, so if you get the camera to balance on the Gorillapod, you still have to press the button to take the photo, which causes the camera to slump then to the right.

The 2 ball-like connectors that connect the camera to the 3 legs on the Gorillapod don't seem to have enough resistance to keep a small camera like the Canon in place.

My mother-in-law has a Sony Cybershot DSC which is small enough and light enough to not slump, so she will probably be getting the Gorillapod to use with her camera.

I love the idea and was excited to get it and try it out. Doesn't work for me like I expected and my point and shoot isn't big at all. I would have thought the design would have taken into consideration that the point and shoot cameras don't always have the screw hole in the middle of the camera. - Gorillapod - Flexible Tripod - Tripod - Joby'

Legal Ruled Pads - notepad, notes

i work in interior design and these pads are great. perfect for making a list, drawing a room and sketching a design concept - all on the same sheet if i need to! why use this instead of a cheaper pad? better paper PLUS the top is perforated, not gummed, so i can just flip to the next page and keep going &/OR use one pad per client, keeping all notes in one place. bottom line, these pages don't leave the pad until i want them to - including the top cover page which you can leave on so that the pages underneath stay nice and tidy. the gummed versions fall right off the pad. Ampad Evidence Quad Dual-Pad, Quadrille Rule, Letter Size (8.5 x 11.75), White, 100 Sheets per Pad (20-210)

Americans need a good quad rule (a/k/a quadrille) pad at a good price, and this is a winner for students and stylists both. It is the classic quadrille check, no extra margins or columns and is micro-perforated at the top, leaving left and right margins uncompromised, so submitting clean copy with no frayed edges is a cinch. The 8.5 by 11.75 inches (21.5 x 30 cm) size makes it standard-format friendly though not exactly identical. Don't buy this Ampad Evidence Quad Dual-Pad if you expect hole punches in the margin, or if you want the tighter five-check-per-inch format of quadrille on the flip side, but otherwise it competes very well with another company's micro-perf., "neat" type of pad and is way cheaper. The fact that this is called a "dual" pad refers probably to the fact that it has (at least) twice the number of sheets as similar pads. - Notebook - Notes - Notebooks - Notepad'

Travel Guide - tips, italian

This book has been a great help while living in Italy. I am glad the new edition has been released while I am discovering all parts of Italy. I thank the author for her insightfulness in realizing that there needed to be a book like this written. I was introduced to the older version from a friend living in Italy, and when she moved she recommended it to me. I recommend it to anyone who is traveling or living in Italy. Made in Italy: A Shopper's Guide to Italy's Best Artisanal Traditions from Murano Glass to Ceramics, Jewelry, Leather Goods, and More, 2nd Edition

Superbly written. Helped orient me to the specialties and best buys in each region, as this was my first visit. Time is precious, especially when traveling or vacationing and with this book you can make the best use of your time. The author really did her homework.

I wanted more information on the shops and places that produce the items.I especially wanted more information on murano. I was especially disappointed there were one or few email addresses to order directly from the companys. I expected a much more comprehensive artice on MURANO AND ITS GLASS!!DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!I also thought there would be more pictures and emails for other items also!!!!!!!! - Italian - Italy - Tips - Travel'

Cadex Pin Nailer - nail gun, 23 gauge

this unit is fantastic and has almost no limitations. The ability to shoot 23g over 1/2 opens up trim options that we feared before ( the labor and aggravation of getting that perfect finish) ...not anymore...the gauge is so small it literally looks like a speck of dust on a the surface and with anything more than a mid finish is untraceable...pull out is a pain if you misfire but that's when cool heads and a pair of lineman's prevails...all in all a must have for finish work

PS: I almost forgot...be careful..this unit has a double trigger..that said once the triggers are armed its a free for all..no nose tip pressure needed to fire so be careful Grex P650L 23-Gauge 2-Inch Headless Pinner with Lock-Out

This is a little high for a pinner but worth it. The ability to use 2 inch pins is priceless. No need to fill the head marks. You can not see them. Grex is great quality also. I've had it for about two months. Just finished a bar project and used this exclusively.

I'm glad a friend of mine convinced me to try this pinner out for various trim and moulding projects I had around the house. Not only was the gun effortless and hassle free to use, the pinner leaves a hole so small that a dab of paint or caulking is all is needed to hide the pin. I've use this gun for over 100 hours without experiencing any jams. Air consumption was average, nothing my 8 gallon compressor couldn't handle. Just be sure to keep the PSI above 100 to ensure the pin has good penetration. One other useful feature is the ability to use 2-inch pins which is rare among pinners. I highly recommend this tool, especially if you can use this in lieu of an 18GA finish nailer.

This is an awesome nail gun. We have used and continue to use this gun for many projects throughout the house. It handles both big and small jobs with ease. It can do so many things. It is lightweight and so easy that anyone can use it. We used this for all of our crown moulding and it looks fantastic. You can't even see where the nails are. It holds up great and we have never had a problem with it. We have tried other guns only to have them jam up on us and not work. I definitely recommend this gun especially if you are a do-it- yourself-er. If you are looking for great reliable tools, Grex is the company to look for. They make lots of quality tools.

Why own multiple finish guns when you can use one gun to do it all. Accurate, reliable, delivers flawless performance. Yes you do get what you pay for. I use the P650 for all jobs. Crown molding, all finish trim, etc... even to tack 2X4s in place. Make sure you use Grex pins too.

I used this pinner with great results.

It hasn't jamed or mis-fired using the Grex 2" pins.

It's very hard to see the pin when shot into the wood and leaves no hammer marks.

I would highly recommend this Pinner to anyone that wants results with "guality" workmenship.

I have more then my fair share of nail guns including 2 headless pin nailers (Ridgid & Freeman). My only justification of why I purchased the Grex was because it shoots 2" pins. Before I was forced to use a brad nailer if i needed something longer then 1". The problem with a brad nail is that it has a head and leaves a fairly large hole. The Grex pins leave an almost microscopic hole. Most of the time I don't even have to fill the holes they are so small. The Ridgid and Freeman pin nailers worked ok. They would jam occasionally but the Grex has never jammed on me. I have put at least several thousand nails through the Grex with out a single hiccup. Just remember to put a few drops of oil in the air connection every time you use the gun to prolong the seals.

I had been looking at this tool for a long time at woodworking shows and was always amazed at the demonstrations of it's power and the ability to drive a 2" pin into hardwood. I've had the Accuset pinner for a long time but it will only drive a 1" pin, also a great tool. I took the plunge last year and bought the Grex 2" pinner because I had several trim jobs comming up. What a wonderful tool. It really does do all the things I'd seen in the demonstrations and does it quite well. I've used it to install 1/4 round over new tile and wood floors, cabinet trim of all types and even tried it on cove molding with great success. I'm sold on the tool and highly recommend it. Not one miss fire or problem in over a year of use.

I was in the market for a pin nailer and spent over a month researching... All the great reviews kept me coming back towards Grex (which by the way I never even heard of until I started looking for a pin nailer), but I was having bad sticker shock so I just kept looking.. I finally came to my senses and bought the gun (praying I'd get what I paid for)... The day very day it arrived (about 7 months now), it went right to the job site... It went right to work hanging cabinet crown molding and trim... I didn't have a single nail not sink all the way and not a single jamb... I started using it to install baseboard and had the same results (every nail sank and no jambs)... I've never had that with any of my other pin nailers... Its been 7 months now and this gun continues to work like the first day... The dry fire lock out is an absolute must for quality finish work and the ability to change out nail sizes without any adjusting on the gun is just a great bonus!!! I'm always sure to oil it after every job and try not to abuse it (mainly cause of the cost)... But without a doubt, I did get what I paid for and have been nothing but impressed with the quality and performance of this Grex tool... Too the point that just recently I needed a new palm nailer and when I saw that Grex made one, I didnt even hesitate this time(even though it cost about $50-$70 more than the competitors)... I'm confident it will be just as well built as the pin nailer... - Grex - Micro Pinner - 23 Gauge - Nail Gun'

Core Training Ball - stability ball, chair

I train people for a living and have sent all of my clients to this seller for their exercise balls. Being one that works with different sized people on a daily basis on the Max Fitness balls, I can tell you that they provide a great product and they are very fast to get it to my clients. I own one myself. Thanks for the great product and service.

Jason P Max Fitness 65cm Exercise Ball with Foot Pump (Pearl White)

I first started using excercising balls at the gym, and loved it. I went and bought one.. and for some reason, it just wasn't the same. A girlfriend of mine also got me one, and again.. just not what I was used to.. then I ordered this one, and it was exactly like the one I used at the gym.. and cheaper than the other ones I had. SO, I highly recommend this. Read the directions and do do another round of air the next day.. its perfect.

I ordered this ball because I didn't like the bright colors at my local stores. I wanted something neutral that wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb in my home. The shipping from Max Ltd. was super fast and the ball was pretty quick and easy to inflate.

I actually bought this as a "birth ball". I'm 8 months pregnant and sitting on the ball helps relieve back pain/pressure, hip rocks feel great on it. Gently bouncing on it has gotten my baby down into position! I'll be using the ball during labor and after I have my baby. Babies love to be bounced on it and it's a comfortable seat to nurse on. I'll also be using it a few months after the birth to work out on and drop my pregnancy weight.

I am a certified personal trainer with 18 yrs exp.

That said, I found this ball equal or better than the physio balls at the best gyms in New York!

The pump worked seamlessly in delivery and a nice tight ball to greater effect the core musicle group exciting the nervous system...but I run on.

Healthy and Fit 2007 I plan to purchase this product again!!

So many children and even adults bounce on my ball whenever they come over and happen to see it! That's not what it's supposed to be used for but it just shows how sturdy it is. My friend who is probably about 250 lbs didn't even pop it.

I just got this ball and, when inflated it looks good, although maybe not perfectly round at first. The pump which came with it worked, but was kind of insubstantial as far as pumps go. The hose to the pump kept falling off and I had to put it back on several times. However, the ball did inflate within 5 or 10 minutes.

The ball needs one day to soften up before it can be completely inflated. After that, needs refills only about once a week, and I sit on it for several hours every day. Good choice at a decent price.

I like the balance ball though i don't use it as often as i thought i would. it takes patients to inflate using the manuel pump and my ball seems to loose firmness often. possibly due to tempurature changes. - Fitness Ball - Stability Ball - Chair - Exercise'
