Blackberry 9630 - unlocked blackberry, blackberry tour

As other reviewers say, this is not truly as pictured, as it is a Verizon phone. That said, it works pretty well -- with one major exception: where I am (in Tanzania) the data portion is not unlocked. The handset will not enable data access at all. The cel phone company rep here (Airtel)told me they have had this problem with many Verizon BBerries, and despite their request, RIM has not come back with a solution for unlocking the phones for data.

And now Amazon won't let me return it as the 30 days are up. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. This is the first time I am very unhappy with my Amazon purchase. Blackberry Tour 9630 Unlocked GSM Cell Phone (Black)

So I upgraded from the Curve 8320 after about 3 and a half years of using it. I expected this phone to have at least everything the Curve had and hopefully a few new things. After about 2 weeks I received the package (UPS's fault though). It's sleek, modern and flashy looking (if that matters).

The texting conversations are collapsed which makes it a lot easier to see your previous messages to a person. Not so much scrolling through the entire inbox. Also, the keyboard is a lot smoother than the Curve one I was used to (in a good way).

Although it's unlocked (supposedly) I still think it's fairly neat that there's a sim card option which it has in the back. I haven't used it yet but the phone says sprint and I'm using T-Mobile, coolness. Also, you can add a sim card/media card without have to take the battery out. THANK GOODNESS, you're not stuck waiting for the infamous long startup time of Blackberries.

The charger was obviously an after market item and didn't charge at all. I'm stuck using the micro usb to the computer.

No Wi-Fi. I thought newer phones were supposed to be better! While I don't use it as often as I used to (now I have a data plan) it's still nice to not have to use my data. Which brings me to my next point,

There's no web browser. I'm essentially paying for the data I can't use. GREAT.

Also, I can't send or receive picture messages. Uh....I thought it was an upgrade? D:

Like many others said, voice quality wasn't up to par and the speaker seems to be fairly quiet. Either that or I'm fairly loud.

Overall the phone is better organized (in the programming) but lacks so many things I got used to in my OLD phone. While it does essentially "Get the job done," it's not why people buy Blackberrys. I'm pretty sure I'm going to return it even if it is flashy (looking) and I could use it in Mexico (or something).

I am extremely glad I bought this phone and happy I bought it from Blueteka USA. It came on time, as described and although refurbished it is working perfectly. I also purchased it unlocked and am now using it in the UK with no problems whatsoever. Prior to purchasing the phone I was hesitant for a variety of reasons namely its refurbished nature and the fact that if I had any problems my rights to redress were severely limited as was not (and still am not) a US resident. These fears are all unfounded, I love the phone! I did a lot of research before I bought it and it had a lot of great reviews, the only problem was/ is the lack of wifi. Well although wifi is useful I've not really had much occasion to use it as I find my network providers internet easier. Well if there's only one thing you get from this review, please let it be that this phone is an awesome buy!

Well just like other customers, I was very skeptical in purchasing a cell phone off of the internet, especially a refurbished one.

APPEARANCE:

GOOD- New condition, no scratches, good packaging.

BAD- Bite marks on the charger.

FEATURES:This phone was definitely used since it had messages and the active phone number of the previous user was still there.

(NOTE- up to this date i cant change it)

At times i'm unable to make phone calls (this lasts for about an hour only)

Other features are pretty much decent and usable.

DELIVERY- I paid for 2nd day shipping and it took an extra 2 weeks to arrive.

OVERALL SATISFACTION- This phone is very usable, addictive and has a very classy look. Despite the few downsides i listed, I guess i could recommend it but be very careful.

Hope my review helped.

In the coming months i shall update my review and let you all know if its still working in optimum condition still.

I absolutely adore this phone. I received my device in a timely manner, which was three days before the estimated arrival date.I bought mine refurbished which is practically new. No glitches so far but i guess thats the wonder of refurbished items...they've been repaired. I had one issue that the seller fixed right away the charger sent with my phone was incompatible. But they are sending me a new one free!!I was very pleased with the seller they answered all of my questions within the day I sent them. I will be ordering again from them again soon. Rocketfish - bad, hdmi

I purchased this at Bestbuy with some gift cards. I have an entertainment PC in my setup so I was a little concerened about the auto switching feature. Since I never shut the PC off...I was concerend that the auto switch would continuously switch between inputs. No problems. I've been switching back and forth between DirecTV and the PC and all is good.

I only wish there wasn't such a long delay between source switching. 5 seconds isn't a long time to wait, but I wasn't expecting any kind of delay. This is the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Rocketfish 1080p 4-Port HDMI Switch-Switcher w/Remote!

Wow, this unit rocks. I purchased the same unit at Best Buy for $90.00. Once I noticed this unit was for sale on Amazon for $15.00 + shipping I bought this new A.S.A.P. No problems as of yet, works great with the remote. I have my T.V. , my Verizon HD Fios box and my Sony Blue-Ray hooked into this unit. The quality looks great. I had a Trek prior and it went after a few years. At least w/the Rocketfish you have the option to turn it off, the Trex always stayed on.

Always check around before buying overpriced items at BB.

This HDMI switcher can be an incredible product. Especially for the cost. I'm able to have more than one HDMI component connected to my TV even though my TV only allows for one HDMI. I love that!

However, from time to time, the switching can be less than perfect. The color will sometimes be off on the screen or it output sound. It is easily remedied by either turning the switcher off & on or switching between inputs or simply adjusting the cables going into the switcher. But this doesn't happen frequently enough to make me not like the product.

At a fraction of what other switchers cost, this was definitely worth the money spent.

I was going to buy this item at best buy for $99, but decided to check on amazon and got it really cheap. This Rocketfish HDMI Switch works perfect with no problems. This item is really easy to use just plug all devices and turn on and that's it, once you turn on another device it will switch to new device, once you turn it off it will switch to the next device turned on. You can also change device manually by pressing the button, or you can use the remote to change devices.

We bought this switch at Best Buy only because we had a gift card. We have a 50" Samsung DLP TV model HL-P5085W which is at least 6 years old and it was probably built way before that. Over the years we have added several components with HDMI, so we decided to get a HDMI switcher so we can utilize the best picture quality possible for all our components. We have a 3 Series Tivo, Samsung Blu-ray player, PS3, and Slingbox that all use HDMI. Plus a Pioneer receiver which also has HDMI. We hooked up the switch to the TV and were having issues right away. No picture with premium channels on Tivo, no picture with PS3 and we would get the Samsung Blu-ray screen, but nothing after that. On the Tivo we got a message about HDMI connection not permitted. This has to do with HDCP which you can read about here [...]

We tried a lot of suggested fixes we saw online, but nothing was working. So we decided to take our 32" Samsung LCD TV from the bedroom and hook it up to the switcher. So far everything is working. So we can only assume the TV itself is the issue. Not the switch or what's connected to it. It's supposedly a handshake issue with this HDCP thing which is causing a lot of unnecessary viewing issues. It looks like we will need a new TV in order to make this work. Do we want a newer, bigger TV? Of course we do! I was just hoping our current TV would fail making it the reason for a new TV. Unfortunately for us, this Samsung TV has performed flawlessly with the exception of needing a new bulb which was expected. Yes, I can just unplug each thing and directly connect it to the TV when I want to use it, but at some point, I want it to be easier then that.

You may read a lot of negative things about the Rocketfish switch, but I think the issue may be the device it's connected to more then the switch itself.

Cheers

This is a tremendous value, it replaced and older Terk unit after the addition of my Apple TV.

This unit handled the HDCP handshake perfectly and i now run a PS3, a Sony 400 disk BD changer, and the Apple TV through it.

I found the discrete codes in HEX format on an AVS forum for programming into my RTI remote.

I can highly recommend one, they are great and do as advertised

I have an older Panasonic HDTV that only has 1 HD connection, and way more than 1 HD device. At less than $50, this product does the job better than units costing 4x more that friends have used. It was simple to install, and the built-in logic that auto-switches when a new device is connected almost makes the remote obsolete. I just put my DirecTV HD-DVR in the first slot, PS3 in second, etc. and it all works perfectly. Combined with my Logitech 880 Harmony remote, it makes watching HD on my older TV simple for me and my family/friends. This product is a no-brainer for folks trying to get more life out of your older HDTV. - Bad - 1080p - Hdmi - Hdmi Switcher'

Dual Layer Dvd - verbatim, dual layer dvd

Quick Summary: Burns at 2.4x or 4x on Plextor 716A burner; Verbatim DVD+R DL burned with the Plextor 716A is PLAYABLE in EVERY DVD Player (at least 20 and counting) I have tried!!! Awesome.

Full article:

I recently used the Verbatim DVD+R DL media to back up a couple of my most popular DVD's. The original was 8.1GB in size and contained about 50 music videos. I couldn't get it to squeeze down to fit on a single layer disc. Verbatim DVD+R DL to the rescue!

Using my new Plextor PX-716A burner (an excellent DVD Burner!), I used the included PlexTools program to make a copy of my DVD. Note, the original DVD is not protected in any way.

I burned the DVD+R DL at 4x speed (approx. 28 min. to burn). There is a selection in the Plextor's software to "overwrite" the book type of the DVD+R DL so that it looks like a pressed dual-layer DVD to settop DVD players (to avoid a confusing older DVD players). I used this setting (it is by default) to burn the DVD.

When it comes to DVD burning, there is no better test than the compatiblilty and quality test of the burned disc. The test is simple, put the burned DVD in as many players as you can and see how many can and cannot read it. Well, I have to say that I have tested this DVD+R DL in over 20 DVD players so far, and ALL have played it with NO COMPATIBILITY issues whatsoever. This finding is as good as or better than all DVD+R and DVD-R (single layer) I have ever used.

After having read all the reviews on the web about how incompatible burned DVD+R DL discs are, I have to say, the Plextor 716A and Verbatim DVD+R DL combination blows everything else away.

Yes, the discs are kinda expensive, but if you have valuable or irreplaceable DVDs to back up, they will work for you. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Just a couple quick notes:

1. To ensure compatibility among all DVD-Players, be sure you set your recording software to finalize all DVD+/-R's with the DVD-Rom booktype. If you do not, older DVD players may have trouble recognizing the DVD's. The Plextor drives have a setting (via Plextools) that will allow you to force them to always finalize with the DVD-Rom booktype!

2. I have burned about 200 of these Verbatim DVD+R DL discs successfully and have used no other brand. I refuse to even try another brand. There have been only 2 out of all of them I had problems with. First one I put an adhesive label on, and the label warped the DVD. When I tried to "flatten" it, the DVD cracked center-to-edge and I had to toss it. Second disc had a few read errors on it near the layer switch. The bonding on that disc appeared to be a bit weak near the center, as some of the dye was inconsistent there. Go figure as to why the problem was at the layer break at the outer edge of the DVD. Verbatim 95310 8.5 GB 2.4x-6x Double Layer Recordable Disc DVD+R DL, 20-Disc Spindle

I am burning these discs on a Lite-On LH-20A1S and a Sony DRU-810A, and they work flawlessly. Maybe it's the fact that they are on Sony's compatible list for the drive or that they are quality discs, I don't know. But what I do know is that the picture quality that I got from my copy was PERFECT. NO PIXELATION, NO DROPPED FRAMES, and NO PAUSES. A perfect burn.

I ran the Verbatim discs through DVDInfo Pro and it came back with write speeds of 2.4, 4.0, and 8.0 (see picture.) The box mine came in says "up to 6x speed," so you MIGHT be able to push it to 8x with a high speed drive.

For everyday, general consumer use you should find that these discs will give you a high quality, dependable burn. Some may ask if they are archival quality, and I have to say that my guess is 'no.' Unless the disc specifically says "archival quality" then I would assume that they are standard discs (which have been found to deteriorate over time.

I highly recommend these discs for your approved DVD+R DL burner. (Remember to check the media compatibility of your drive BEFORE you purchase these discs or any other disc! See your drive manufacturer's website for details.)

Verbatim DL used to be by far the best DL media available. Reliable, stable in storage, and consistent high quality made by Mitsubishi in their Singapore plant, one of the highest quality DVD production plants in the world.

Not any more. Verbatim has outsourced a large part of their DL production to a plant in India, and now when you buy this media you have a high chance of getting made in India - this product is poor, often with obvious physical defects in the media like bubbles, holes and foil delaminates.

It is possible to still find made in Singapore cakeboxes on store shelves, but if you can't actually read the disk label before buying you are rolling the dice when you buy.

It is a real shame Verbatim does not offer the Singapore product as a diferent grade. It would be worth a few extra bucks to get a cakebox that had a 95% success rate vs. the 50% rate the made in India product gives.

Verbatim has really gotten a black eye in my book with this stunt. - Dual Layer Dvd - Verbatim - Dual Layer - Dvd Dual Layer'

Middle School Math - middle school math, workbook

My children have been using the Summer Bridge books since elementary school and they have really helped them academically. I highly recommend this resource to others (even adults would benefit, if you are in need of a refresher course). Summer Bridge Activities: 7th to 8th Grades

I am a student who wants to get ahead anyway I can. This book has a lot I need to know and is time eater. The book has all subjects, and does bring you ahead. I hope you enjoy this book too. Have a great school year.

The website to assist students with certain activities is no longer available. So when it says "check it out" you can't. I called the company, which has been sold, and they have no plans of re-opening or maintaining a website. They said future books will no longer have that feature.

I first saw these books when my daughter brought them over for her boys t o work on while visiting from out of town. I could hardly believe it when she said it was time to do their "homework". I thought I heard her wrong, because school was already out. She has the kids do practice pages on a daily basis-weekends off--and then she can correct it with them. The answers are in the back of the book. This is a great way for kids to NOT forget what they have learned the previous school year and to NOT be behind when they start the next grade simply because they have not been practicing their academic skills. I am going to recommend them to my parents next year as a means of preventing their children from falling behind during summer vacation.

The books are designed to be used between your child's previous grade and the new one they are entering. The book is broken into three sections and includes a motivational calendar to help the kids track their progress. The book also includes skill check lists, a meal-tracker, a fitness tracker, and a section on building better bodies and behavior plus math flashcards in the back of the book on tag board paper. I think this book is a great way for parents and kids to work together but also have fun!

I like this book because I use it as a guide when I tutor my middle school students. They are getting ready for FCAT and this is a great foundation to what they are learning. I recommend this book as a helpful review.

This workbook was great as a summer subject refresher and to keep my children current. I liked everything about it; the multiple sections, the incentive and contract pages; the right amount of work to not be overwhelming. I didn't have to pay for tutor or a class; it was money well spent. I will be continuing next summer.

I order this book and when I received the first copy it had some pages missing, which made it useless to me. When I notified the seller she send me a new one. I was refunded for the first book, but I want to pay for the second copy. Please help me have the the seller accept the payment. She was upset at me for refusing the first book, but it was of no use to me due to the missing pages.

Sincerely,

Ernesto Avelar

This is the fourth year that we are using this book for our kids. It is an excellent way to refresh and reinforce the materials that they have learned during their current school year (and you shall be surprised how much they have already forgotten.) There are some printing errors here and there (like a misplaced equation in the Geometry section) but overall it is well structured and the materials and exercises are well thought out. The only improvement I can think of is adding more problem solving exercises which is too short in the current form. We usually supplement it with other books with exercises in subjects like grammar and history. Highly recommend! - Middle School Math - Workbook'

Fibromyalgia - delicious, health

I have tried all the flavors of Vita Coca and this one is the BEST !!

This brand is much better than ONE or Zito.

Fyi.. a great way to try all the flavors is with the variety pack.

I like to save an extra 15% and get this shipped once per month. I drink

them after a working out and since I work out about 5 days a week,2

12 packs of drinks works out about right.

With vita cocoa...being healthy takes GREAT !

Very Smooth taste. To me, this acai & pomegranate is very good. The pineapple flavor is still my favorite, with the acai second, and the mango peach is my least favorite of the 3 flavors.

This flavor is light and refreshing, like water with a smooth berry and coconut flavor added. It doesn't taste phony either. It is 100% natural and it tastes natural. Too good to be just flavored water. It tastes more like a light fruit juice. I had mine chilled. It is imported from Brazil. A plastic twist-off cap allows you to stick in a straw easily, without hammering the package to punch it through. A single package is about 6 inches high, with 3 inch diagonal square shape.

One paper coated package contains 17 fluid ounces/500 ml, marked as 2 servings. Per serving stats are 60 calories (so 120 calories total per package), 0 fat, 0 cholesterol, 30mg sodium, 515 mg potassium, 15g sugar, 4 % calcium, 4 % phosphorus, 180 % vitamin C, 8 % magnesium, 1 g protein. Ingredients, as listed in order on package are: natural coconut water, mango puree, peach puree, ascorbic acid (vitamin C). The package states it is 100 % natural, has more electrolytes than leading sports drinks with 15 times the potassium, and has more potassium than 2 bananas.

So--- it is good, refreshing, healthy, easily packable, and easily openable. (It's ok. I can make up words. I work for the government.) I really like the high potassium content, too. (Note--I am NOT a doctor.) As the sweltering East Coast heat and humidity approaches, potassium helps with the fluid you lose. Whether you are on fluid pills, or working outside in the eat, or running and jogging for your health, or hiking, or your children are playing and running in the heat, it's a real good idea to keep those potassium levels up. Low potassium levels, as I understand it, can be harmful, leading to cramps in your legs or worse--maybe even making you pass out. Anyway, this is good and it sure tastes a lot better to me than Gatoraid (yuk). So, check it out, and read up on "potassium" before the heat gets here.

This was so gross!! I actually had tried the peach/mango flavor before this one and thought nothing could be as bad as that one, but this one was even worse. I couldn't even taste coconut in it. Just grossness.

I found this to taste stale and perhaps like drinking liquid cardboard. I've had the original, unflavored Vita Coco (like it better than original, unflavored O.N.E. and very tolerable for unflavored) and Tangerine Vita Coco (superb!). This is a HUGE disappointment in comparison. I used to love the Acai coconut water offered by Hudson Bay, but I can no longer find it. That was my favorite drink ever! I'm not sure if it is the pomegranate that makes it taste rather lousy, but I was wholly disappointed. There is a pleasant fruity aftertaste, but it is ever so slight and nearly undetectable. I'll pass on another purchase of this again.

I suffer from Fibromyalgia as well as other Auto-Immune Problems and decided to give this a try to see if the potassium might help with some of my muscle pain. I have tried all of the flavors and the Vita Coco Coconut Water with Acai & Pomegranate is my favorite! (The plain is my second favorite.) It's like a mini-treat to break up my day and I have seen a difference in the amount of pain I have been experiencing as well as it helping me with the "dry mouth" effects that my medication causes.

I am not a medical doctor - but as someone that suffers from chronic pain - I would highly recommend at least giving this a try if you are in the same boat as I am.

It takes a little while to get used to the taste - but once you do - you actually look forward to having it each day. *Hint: I have found that by putting it into the freezer for a little bit it turns into a tasty slushy that is AWESOME!

I love vita coco and this drink is great but with horrible after taste. This flavor has more potassium( 21% vs 19%) than the pineapple flavor so this was the main reason for me trying this. The flavor is great while drinking but the after taste is horrible. Its mostly acai flavor after taste and Im not a big fan of acai. The acai basically over powers the pomergranate and coconut but its still a refeshing flavor. Overall I would not by this flavor again if I had the chance. Hopefully the tangerine one comes back so I can give that one a try. - Fibromyalgia - Coconut - Acai - Delicious - Health - Vitacoco'

Brake Pads

I bought this pads to replace my worn pads and noticed a big difference with regards to lesser brake dust accumulation on my rear wheels. Ceramic pads are even quite and you may also notice that it does not bite very well during first few weeks but as soon as you "break it in", it gives you more stopping power. This is a great deal when it came with a [...] mail in rebate, which made the total cost around [...] for a pair of pads. Not bad, but better than generic pads sold in local stores. Ipod Touch 4th Generation

Having had a chance to spend a little time with a review model gives me a chance to share the experience with you a bit early (before my own arrives). I'll take you hands-on with the new model, plus I'll share from my past two years of iPod touch ownership altogether, especially for those who haven't yet owned (or been owned by) one of these mobile gems.

I've also hidden a treasure trove of info on how you can legitimately download tons of quality apps for free. First though, let's quickly cover what's new.

+ Faster 1GHz A4 Processor - to keep up with the high demands of multitasking

+ Ultra high resolution "Retina display" - packs a 960 x 640 resolution at 326 pixels per inch

+ 15% larger battery - 3.44 Whr/930 mAh plays 7 hrs of video & 40 hrs of audio

+ Rear-facing camera - supports 960 x 720 sized photos (0.6 megapixels), plus 720p HD videos

+ Front-facing VGA-quality camera - VGA-quality is a resolution of 640 x 480 (0.3 megapixels)

+ 3-Axis Gyroscope - allows for higher precision and more motion gestures

+ Wireless N - Connect faster and go farther than ever, with this WiFi device (requires a router with 802.11n)

+ Built in microphone - but Apple reverted back to using the remote- and mic-less earphones

+ Game Center - Apple's own social gaming platform

+ Sleep/Power Button - it's been moved to the right, but not improved beyond that

+ Thinner, lighter than ever

* Note - Memory remains at the same 256MB despite several unconfirmed sources touting 512MB. There's also no vibrate module.

Unlike last year's iPod touch update, this one's a complete overhaul to the entire line. Last year, the new models didn't change in appearance. On the inside, faster processors and double-memory were added to the 32GB & 64GB models, but the 8GB got left out. Not this time. Buying the new 8GB iPod touch indeed gets you all the new goodies. You'll also pay thirty bucks more than before, so consider buying the 32GB model instead. You'll get 400% of the storage capacity for only 23% more coin!

===== Background =====

I'm a mobile app developer who's created a few apps and games for the iPhone, iPod Touch and now iPad. I was initially drawn to the iPod touch because of the popularity and capabilities of its mobile Web browsing--I was primarily a Web developer at the time and no other device could surf the Web so well. After I got one, I was hooked. I racked up over a hundred bucks in app purchases within the first month, and before long, I found myself learning how do develop native apps for the device.

Indeed, if you have never had an iPod touch before, you're in for a real treat. Of course, if you have, then you know first hand: it's is worth its weight in gold--no, in platinum. And now, with the latest generation, it may even be worth its weight rare gem stones! I digress.

===== Out With the Old =====

The iPod touch is frequently called an iPhone without the phone. However, until now there have been several other features also missing in the iPod touch besides the phone: a camera, GPS, magnetometer (compass), and some newer amenities from the iPhone 4: front-facing camera, high resolution "Retina display" as it has been dubbed, and the powerful 1GHz A4 processor--indeed a necessity to keep up with multitasking.

That all changes, now. The 4th gen iPod touch brings with it some new features and amenities, some of which have been anticipated by iPod touch fans and developers alike, including myself, for several generations of the device. From a developer's perspective, the more hardware features we can get our hands on, the better and more innovative apps we can create, and the more users that can download, use and enjoy them.

===== In With the New =====

The striking new design of the latest iPod touch is definitely a looker. Apple has made it even thinner (and I thought it was already too thin before) complete with a beautiful chrome back. While the super thin design is certainly attractive, I've found it slightly difficult to keep it well-gripped in your hands. The usual chrome back looks great too, but it's scratch-insistent. Yes, it's incredibly easy to scratch it all up, even after the first few days. For these two reasons, definitely get yourself a silicone skin (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0042GVG5G?tag=1pod-20&ie=UTF8) alongside your new touch!

For ages, the feature topping everyone's wishlist for the iPod touch has been a camera. Check! It handles HD video too--bonus! Granted, its not the 5 megapixel camera that the iPhone 4 sports, but again, the new iPod touch is thinner than ever, making it a miracle that we even got a camera in the first place, let alone two! Yes, Apple went the extra mile so we could make video calls with our iPhone toting friends, via their FaceTime app. Brilliant! So, having not had any camera on the iPod touch before, and now having TWO cameras on it, we can't really complain can we? Nah.

I'll have details on the quality both cameras later, but what excites me even moreso is the new much-higher resolution screen--dubbed "Retina display". You may not think much of it if you haven't used an iPhone or iPod touch before, nor have an older model nearby to compare it to, but for those that have and/or do, the difference is clear! (pun intended)

Where this really comes in handy is in browsing the Web and reading non-mobile-formatted PDF e-books. Now, I can see things so much clearer at the default zoom level (which shows the full width of a Web page or document). My vision isn't spectacular by any means, I just don't mind seeing things smaller on the screen. It allows me to see more content without having to scroll. Indeed, the Retina display was the #1 feature I never knew I wanted (until I saw it in the iPhone 4 that is).

Other newness includes: 15% larger battery, HD video recording and editing, built-in mic, wireless-n for nearly double the WiFi connection speed and distance, Game Center: Apple's new social gaming platform (which seems to be Apple's attempt to kill-off third party social gaming platforms like OpenFeint and Plus+), 3-axis gyroscope sensor, which complements the existing accelerometer sensor, both of which handle the rotating, swinging and other motion gestures of the device (previously, rotation were roughly calculated from accelerometer data), and new placement of the sleep/power button on the right (but still as difficult as ever to press).

Features still missing include: 512MB of memory, vibration, 5 MP quality camera + flash (iPhone apps now support using LED flash as a flashlight, like Android does), magnetometer (compass), and the GPS. I'd happily trade the thinness of the latest iPod touch to have the GPS. WiFi based location is often inaccurate, and the GPS doesn't need a WiFi or cellular connection, it just needs to see the satellites in the sky.

===== iOS vs Android =====

So far, Apple has cornered the market of multitouch mobile devices that aren't phones, but things are slowly changing. Currently, the two hottest mobile and smartphone operating systems out there right now are Apple's iOS (formerly: iPhone OS) and Google's Android. Of course, iOS is popular because it runs on not only the iPhone, but also on the iPod touch and now on the ipad as well. Plus, it has garnered support from scores of app developers who've gotten behind Apple's slew of high-demand devices.

The iPod touch has really made iOS what it is today. It does a lot of what the iPhone does, without a contract, or carrier exclusivity, as is the case with the iPhone and the iPad (WiFi+3G models). So if it weren't for the iPod touch, a lot of the market share Apple now has in the industry would have been stifled by their carrier exclusivity. I think Apple will see the light soon, but that's another discussion.

Enter Android. Google has held a different stance on their mobile OS. It isn't tied to a select few devices, and it's open source, so it can be further developed by manufacturers who use it. Indeed, several mobile device manufacturers have now latched onto Android as a foundation for numerous devices. Wireless carriers that have been unable to carry the iPhone have also taken a liking to it. Now, tons of Android devices have been released, and there's no end in sight. Manufacturers have also seen the iPad's potential and now they want a piece of that pie, too. So, expect to see a lot more Android tablets and media-centric non-phone devices soon. The competition is heating up.

But not everything with Android, nor with iOS, is perfect. I own an EVO 4G, one of the most popular Android devices currently available. I've also used an iPod touch almost every day for nearly two years, so I'm pretty qualified to share my experience with each platform. Both certainly have their share of unique offerings, and neither of them are without flaws. For this reason, and because of the increasing competition between the two, I plan to dispel some of their key differences for you at various points in this review.

===== So What Can the iPod Touch Actually Do? =====

Well, what can't it do?

The iPod touch is like a magical little box, only it's flat. While it cannot cook your breakfast, yet (I'm sure someone is already working on that), it can indeed do some pretty extraordinary things. It's an amazing catch-all device that can provide hours of entertainment, give you the power of the Web in your hand, and it can even replicate the functionality of countless one-off products. Developers have been creating apps that take advantage of special hardware of the iPod touch to emulate some other product for less, and sometimes even for free.

Even expensive products have seen cheap iOS based clone apps. For just 99 cents, you can snag a special alarm clock app that monitors your sleep cycle and wakes you up when you're in an ideal state of wakefulness. I spent 350 bucks on an aXbo

(http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0014RDSSY?tag=1pod-20&ie=UTF8) a few years ago, who's functionality is easily replicated by several "sleep phase" alarm clock apps in the app store. When you do the math there, you see that it's easily a no brainer: buy yourself an iPod touch now!

I've listed more apps like this in the comments!

Plus, with the support of such a strong community of app and game developers, there's never a drought of fresh new apps and games. There's always something to do with the iPod touch, and I guarantee you'll never be bored with it. I honestly cannot say the same thing about Android, though I also tote my EVO 4G around with me. I do admit that the EVO's mobile hotspot comes in incredibly handy for providing the iPod touch with a WiFi connection while I'm on the go).

Now, with the proper resources, you can legitimately download thousands of high quality apps for free. I do it all the time and it is perfectly legal. See, Apple allows developers to temporarily put their apps on sale (and even drop the price to free). Usually they do this to get you to write some rave reviews for their apps. The secret to success is having the resources to help you spot these special app sales--so you know when and where to get them during their sometimes extremely-limited-time promotions.

In hopes of making this the most helpful review on Amazon for the iPod touch, here's how to obtain these special promotional-sale apps:

There are several resources you can use, both on the Web and on the iPod touch itself. I prefer to use the app called BargainBin that lists all apps that recently went on sale or dropped to free. It also supports watch lists with push notifications, and can alert you whenever an app you're interested in goes on sale. It's a phenomenal little gem, and it has gotten me a ton of apps and saved me a fortune! It also has a companion website that lists the same apps (Google: App Advice). There's also a website called AppShopper (Google it) that lists apps with recent price drops and new apps as well, and you can filter just the free products or just the sale products. The two sites don't always list the same apps. Sometimes one will miss something that the other will catch, so it's good to keep track of them both. Check them daily if possible. Several apps are duds, but you'll come across some really great ones from time to time. They'll all add up!

===== Web Browsing =====

Alongside spending lots of money on all those wonderful apps in the App Store, Web browsing is one of the most popular uses for the iPod touch. Browsing the Web with mobile Safari was my original attraction to the device. The experience hasn't changed too drastically in the past two years (since the days of iOS 2), and while it's still very powerful, there are some definite flaws. And no, I'm not talking about Flash. Just minor usability issues I'd like to see overcome, but first let's look at the positives.

Mobile Safari has a smart approach to zooming in on content. Double-tap on a paragraph of text or an image to cinch that content right up to the edges of the screen. The downside: some sites aren't mobile-friendly, so zooming in on a really wide block of text can leave you with tiny text. You can zoom further manually, by using the "unpinch" multi-touch gesture, but because the browser doesn't have an option to reflow the text to the screen width, you have to scroll left and right, as well as up and down, just to read the text. Android's browser doesn't feature smart zoom, but it does reflow the text to fit the screen when zoomed in. It's a nice feature, and Apple should add it as a preference for Safari.

Browser history can also vanish after a few days, and browser windows get overwritten by links from other pages sometimes (usually when I've hit the maximum of eight windows). Also yet to be seen is support for doing common things like searching for text on a page, or bookmarking a link by tapping and holding. That would be invaluable for adding bookmarklets--bookmark based scripts that help overcome browser shortcomings.

Flash is also a great debate, one I won't get into. I will just say that all is not as it seems with the Flash-support-touting Android platform. Flash does work, but it is buggy because Flash doesn't play well with touch interfaces. Flash based video players don't work right, and I even run Android 2.2, which is supposed to have the "full Flash experience". It doesn't, trust me. So you're not missing much by not having Flash on the iPod touch!

Indeed, we can just hope and pray that Web developers and Flash-fiends see the light and start replacing Flash content with technologies like HTML5's canvas element, which is poised to take on a lot of Flash's most popular abilities.

===== Media =====

Despite all the incredible things the iPod touch can do, audio and video are still one of the iPod touch's greatest strengths. And with the incredible resolution of the new iPod touch's retina display, to say that videos now appear much sharper, more vivid and highly-defined is definitely an understatement. Yes, videos were great before, but now they frickin' rock!

Just make sure your videos are at least 960 x 640. If you've owned an older iPod touch and used video conversion software to scale down your media to fit the old 320 x 480 screen resolution, definitely change your conversion settings, or look for a software update to support the new higher-resolution display.

For those interested in watching live TV on the go (over WiFi), Sling Media's SlingPlayer app, paired with one of their Slingbox devices is a phenomenal and freeing experience, especially considering your alternate choices for watching live TV on the go are pretty much nil up to this point.

On top of that, Netflix's recently released iPod touch version of their media streaming app has also been a much-welcomed addition to my ever-growing collection of apps. Netflix videos stream quickly, and even moving the play position back and forth in the timeline, the movie starts playing very quickly without much time rebuffering the video.

===== Photos =====

The latest iPod touch is also a game-changer for photography and video recording on an iPod touch. It's not mind-blowing by any means, but we went from having no camera right to having two cameras on the device. I probably would not be so thrilled with just a new back camera. I merely would have sighed, mumbling "finally" under my my breath (unless it were 5 megapixels). But despite the less-than-one megapixel quality of the rear-facing camera, I was taken aback by the rather decent quality, especially in low-light environments. Check the comments for links to sample photos!

Between that and the ability to connect with other iPhone and iPod touch toting friends via Apple's FaceTime app, yes... it's a game changer. Granted, I have been wanting front facing cameras on mobile devices ever since mobile devices started having cameras period. I got the first of such devices when my EVO 4G arrived in June, but as they say: the more the merrier. Friends, welcome to the future we've been dreaming of. Video killed the audio call!

The quality of my test calls were pretty good. Of course, it was over WiFi, but it proves the cameras are decent. You can switch from using the front camera to using the rear camera, too, in case something was going on in front of you that you wanted to share. Just tap the "camera swap" button in the bottom right corner of the screen. FaceTime also rotates along with the iPod when flipped on its side, nice.

HD video recording is the other half of the aforementioned game-changing equation. I didn't expect to see ANY video recording, considering the original iPhone camera was originally just a camera. But it's here, complete with HD quality (yes, the quality is indeed desirable), plus basic video editing support, as well as support for Apple's brilliant "iMovie" app: an advanced video editing studio right on your iPod touch. It's just five bucks on the App Store.

===== E-Reading =====

The iPad has been making waves in the genre of media reading for several months now, but that hasn't exactly been the same story for any generation of the iPod touch so far. Granted, it's not exactly marketed as an eReader like its iPad counterpart, but there are some really great apps out there for media reading on it, so there's no reason not to use it to read digital media. The obstacle to doing that, for me at least, has been the limited screen resolution, and so that may all potentially start to change, now that Apple has brought the Retina display to the iPod touch.

The 163 pixels per inch screens of past iPod touches were still pretty great, just not ideal for tiny text. For comparison, LCD monitors typically only have 96 pixels per inch, and CRT monitors only have 72 pixels per inch. TV's are even worse than that. What this means for you is that the iPod touch display has always been sharper than your own computer monitor.

However, despite being able to display content at a higher quality, I still found that in a lot of eBooks, especially PDFs that weren't mobile-formatted, the text was just not clear enough to be readable when zoomed out. However, zooming in meant having to constantly scroll side-to-side while reading. The app "Good Reader" helped ease that pain by doing the left-right & vertical scrolling for you with just a tap of the screen, as well as offering an additional view that re-flows the text to fit on the screen at a large enough size.

However, with the Retina display, all text and content in the aforementioned "zoomed out" state now appears extremely clear. That is a wonderful thing, so long as you don't mind reading tiny text.

Could you still benefit from having an iPad too? Perhaps. After all, it does have unique qualities that set it apart from the iPod touch, as my in depth iPad review portrays (http://www.amazon.com/review/R16U71KO7POLA2?tag=1pod-20&ie=UTF8). But unless you specifically see the need for one of those unique qualities, then no, you probably don't need both.

===== Gaming =====

If you're like me, you probably don't have time for games. Regardless, it may still be high-time to let the kid within you roam free from time to time, as I do. The iPod touch has made it possible. In fact, it is so easy, there's no excuse not to enjoy yourself. My favorite games are the racing games and, when I have a bit more time, strategy games.

With the iPhone and iPod Touch having taken on a clear role as a gaming console that has been as revolutionary for mobile gaming as the Wii was for living-room gaming, it goes without saying that the iPod touch is, and will continue to be, one of the best platforms for gaming. It's simple, convenient, and pretty much instant. Whenever you have a few moments of free time, wherever you're, just turn it on, find your game, and bam! You're gaming. Simple as that.

===== Productivity =====

Productivity carries numerous definitions. Usually its "getting something done" though some people tend to believe that it's the ability to focus without being distracted, which I see as one of the iPod touch's strengths, at least for me, primarily because the screen is small enough to force you to focus on the task at hand.

In the context of software though, Apple's own suite of productivity apps for the office, collectively called "iWork", has been further refined for the iPhone and iPod touch. Because of the aforementioned "focus factor" of the iPod touch, I have found myself to be surprisingly productive when working on documents with it. There are three apps in all: Pages allows you to work on word processing documents. Numbers allows you to work on spreadsheets. Keynote lets you work on presentations and slideshows (including PowerPoint files).

So far, I've found these apps to be highly useful when I have work to do, but don't feel like being at the computer to do it. Another great app for that is "iTeleport" which let's me at my computer remotely, when iWork won't work (meaning I'm not working on office documents). Log Me In Ignition is another similar app that is slightly easier to set up, but a bit slower than iTeleport, when you're just working over the same WiFi connection as the remote computer.

Furthermore, there's a whole category of iPod touch apps in the App Store specifically dedicated to productivity. Some of my favorite productivity apps include: Bento (info management), Things (project management), iTeleport (remote computing), and GoodReader (best PDF reader around). Search for them in the App Store.

===== Email, IM and Social Networking =====

The iPod touch has been, and continues to be an exceptional communication-machine. Whether it's reading or composing email, keeping in touch via instant messenger, or managing your life via social networks, you've got plenty of options here.

Instant messaging is easy with platforms such as AIM, Yahoo, Gtalk, MSN, Skype and apps that handle multiple platforms: IM+, Fring, Nimbuzz, BeejiveIM and Fuse Messenger. Finally, multitasking means you can truly remain connected to your IM platforms of choice, instead of relying on apps to keep you signed remotely, then push new-message notifications to your device. This is a much welcome addition to the new iPod touch.

As well, there are plenty of apps to help you browse and update your status on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Within the iOS development community, Twitter apps have often been a laughing stock, simply because there are so many out there on the App Store. They're almost as rampant as "fart" apps. So to say you've got countless options as far as social networking apps are concerned is probably a pretty accurate statement.

For email, you need not look any further than Apple's native "Mail" app. Even if you're using Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, or Apple's own MobileMe, setup is a snap. It even supports Microsoft Exchange, often useful for corporate email setups. As well, any other email accounts that support POP3 or IMAP connection types will work with the Mail app too. Plus, new to the iPod touch with iOS 4 is the option to use a unified inbox--handy for those already used to that behavior on Mac OS X.

===== Downloading Apps and Games =====

Downloading apps on your iPod touch couldn't be easier. Once you set up your iTunes account with a credit card, all you need to do is find the app you want, tap the download button (usually it says the price rather than "download", which then changes to "buy" after you tap it), then tap again to confirm. Voila, you just bought an app. Behind the scenes, Apple then charges your card the amount of the app plus tax, while you're already off enjoying your new purchase. This ease of access is a blessing and a curse, because you can easily empty your wallet if you're not carefully considering each purchase.

All apps in the App Store range in price from Free and 99 cents on up, always incrementing in whole dollar amounts (1.99, 2.99, 3.99, etc). The maximum price for an app is set to $999.99, of which there are only eight currently priced so outrageously. And don't even think of toying with them. Apple does not allow refunds on apps you have purchased--all sales are final!

Contrast that with Android's more complex Android Market, and you'll find several more steps, especially for paid apps. For one, there're no fixed pricing tiers, and secondly, they allow multiple currency pricing, which only confuses its users. The good developers do keep their pricing similar to iOS apps, with the 99 cent base plus $1 increments, but I often see apps priced at ¥0.55 or 0.79 or $1 or £2.95 ...it's quite disorienting and unstructured. They have also set their price cap at $200, so you can't accidentally run up a $1000 charge on just one app--you'll need at least 5 apps for that. ;)

Meanwhile, to actually buy an app on Android, you must tap the BUY button, confirm that you want to buy the app, then get redirected to a Google Checkout link, where you must setup your Google Checkout account or choose an existing payment method if you already have an account set up. Once you confirm the purchase yet again, THEN you can finally download the app.

Google also makes selling apps a bit more complicated for developers than Apple, but I won't get into that. I'm just stressing how absolutely simple Apple makes the app buying and selling process. Contrary to Apple however, Google does allow users to "return" purchased Android apps within 24 hours for a full refund. That's nice.

===== Praise =====

+ Apple continues its trend of creating the best multi-touch experience around. Android doesn't even come close.

+ The Retina Display - Phenomenal! Kudos for bringing it to the iPod touch as well as the iPhone. Now try it with IPS technology Apple!

+ Wireless-N, finally! - Faster and farther-reaching WiFi connections (if your router supports 802.11n)

+ High performance 1GHz A4 processor - provides all the power of the iPhone 4, a win for gaming and multitasking.

+ Multitasks like a dream with iOS 4 and the powerful processor, despite the same 256MB of memory as the third generation touch.

+ Rear camera - It's not the 5 megapixel iPhone 4 camera, but I definitely can't complain here. It shoots great photos, especially in low-light without flash, plus it can do HD video.

+ Front facing camera - What a pleasant surprise! Now it just needs to work with Skype.

===== Dissappointments =====

+ No GPS - IP based location just doesn't cut it at times. GPS has no subscription fee or contract to use. GPS chips are costly, but tons of high cost GPS apps are in the App Store now to offset that cost for Apple.

+ 256MB memory - iFixit has confirmed this disappointing flaw, putting to rest all the rumors of 512MB still littering several reviews.

+ Still no 120GB model - Useful for higher res videos that look great on the Retina display.

+ No USB 3.0 or wireless sync - Sync'ing can be slow or inconvenient over the cable.

+ Thinner design - I was hoping for a more squared design, like the iPhone 4, as it is easier to grip, handle and press the power button.

+ Power button - Yes, it hasn't changed much. It's been moved to the right side on this model, but it's still the tiny, hard-to-press button it's has always been, and if you take lots of screenshots like I do (by pressing power+home simultaneously) half the time you end up closing your app because the power button didn't work right.

===== The Bottom Line =====

It is absolutely clear: Apple has definitely blurred the lines between iPhone and iPod touch with its 4th generation of both devices. Since it has no contract or carrier exclusivity, this phenomenal device will continue to shine its light in the otherwise dark voids of the smartphone market where the iPhone cannot go, even without the phone. That's just smart!

Given all my tips, I think you'll find the iPod touch to be an extraordinarily useful, possibly even highly addictive device, with a price tag that is well worth it, especially the 32GB model. With all the things that the iPod touch can do, it will undoubtedly enhance your life and change the way you interact with the Web. It might even make a gamer out of you if it hasn't already, it sure did for me!

I hope you've found my hands-on review helpful. I do actively participate in any discussions via the comments, so feel free to drop me a line, or ask me any questions as well. :) Apple iPod touch 8 GB (4th Generation) NEWEST MODEL'

Natural Keyboard - curve, comfortable

Let's talk about the features Microsoft advertises on its product tour mini site.

Great comfort: It's generally more comfort than a traditional keyboard once you get used to the curved layout and thin profile keys. Don't forget to spread out your arms. Other than the surprisingly low cost (for a ergonomic keyboard), I bought it for another reason - good spacebar design. (Well, the spacebar on my copy of the keyboard has a problem that I'll discuss in a moment) I do touch typing and almost always use right thumb for space key. Spacebar on a traditional keyboard has sharp edge towards your thumb pad. Just put your thumb on a spacebar and you know what I'm saying here. The spacebar and all other keys on this row of the comfort curve keyboard have been tilted towards the user and have reduced thickness at the bottom so the thumb touches the flat (slightly curved) surface of the keys. Some traditional keyboards now have similar design but cost more and they are hard to get. However, the spacebar on my copy of the keyboard apparently was assembled incorrectly. The tiny metal support wire/hinge under the key is not snapped in place therefore the spacebar makes noise all the time when typing on other keys. It's easy to fix once I pry open the spacebar and snap in the metal support wire. The spacebar is still kind of loose due to its large size but no more unwanted noise. The quality problem makes me worry about Internet purchase because of inconvenience of return/exchange. My experience tells me that recent Microsoft hardware quality is inconsistent (probably like its software). I bought a Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer early this year and it had a near dead button (push very hard to make it work).

Another annoyance is the tiny Ctrl keys. Due to the layout design, Ctrl keys are fairly small and easy to miss. I'd rather have smaller Win keys to give space for larger Ctrl keys. Or at least the Ctrl keys don't have to be rounded aggressively at corners. More expensive Microsoft Nature Ergonomic Natural keyboard seems to have slightly bigger Ctrl keys.

Easy setup and use: No software is required. The keyboard has USB connector and no USB-to-PS/2 adapter is provided in the package. It probably will work with a USB-to-PS/2 adapter based on what system requirements info says from the Microsoft website. Because it's a USB device, make sure your PC BIOS USB keyboard support is enabled or you lose keyboard control until USB HID (Human Interface Device) driver is loaded.

Spill-resistant keys: This is largely true as long as you don't tilt your keyboard too much or spilled water/coffee below the keys doesn't overflow to the desk. Each key is supported by a cylinder which raises high above the base plate. Base plate has four tiny drain holes. Pry open just one key and you'll understand. I don't know how special function keys at top of the keyboard are protected. They may be more vulnerable.

Save desktop space: False! This keyboard is slightly larger than my Dell Quiet keyboard. It's much bigger than some compact keyboard with razor-thin edges. Basically it takes no more space than your old traditional keyboard.

Ultra-thin profile: Not sure I'll like it or not. Time will tell. It makes me feel like using a notebook but key travel may be comparable to a desktop keyboard. The tactical feedback is close to a notebook keyboard but I can still type pretty fast.

Some other notes:

Special function keys are useful. No software is required but they only work with certain software and cannot be customized. Pictures on Microsoft website are tiny so let me tell you what these special keys are: Back, Forward, Volume Down, Mute, Volume Up, Play/Pause (above vol down, mute, vol up keys), Web/Home, Search and Mail. There is also a Calculator key next to the keyboard status LEDs.

Finally, Microsoft gets rid of the quirky edit keys layout (keys above reverse T toothpick arrow keys) that was popular in its last generation keyboards. The comfort curve keyboard has traditional layout for those keys and that's important to me. I wouldn't use any keyboard without this layout.

So far I'm happy with the purchase. It's a nice and cheap keyboard if you're looking for an ergonomic one. Hopefully, the shortcomings I mentioned above can be fixed in the next version of this keyboard. It's not bad for a v1.0 comfort curve keyboard.

UPDATE: Each special key can be customized once latest IntelliType Pro software is installed. Although Microsoft harware download web site doesn't provide a driver for this keyboard, guess what, this keyboard is listed as the very first one in Keyboard model dropdown list in keyboard settings.

After eight months of use, I still stand behind my comments and it still gets 4 stars :) Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 (B2L-00002) - Curve - Microsoft - Comfortable - Ergonomic Keyboard'

High Definition - sata cables, sata

I took to heart the previous reviews, cautioning that one of the connectors was 90 degrees and pointing upwards. Exactly what I needed for my Dell. The cable I got had straight connectors on both ends! With a very sharp kink on the cable the cover closed with a push and the drive runs. However, I will not be surprised if the cable fails. My guess is a wrong cable was mailed. The cable is called on the shipping slip SATA18RA1 (RA=right angle?). The bag itself has only single marking (0.5 m = ca. 18 inches as advertised). There is no good way was the person pulling the order to know if it is an angled connector or not except to know the merchandise an look. I will see if I can return it, but at the price of the cable and cost of shipping and hassle, this seems hardly worth it. Even this review is costing me more time than is the cost of the cable. Still, I use other people's reviews, so I thought I would return the favor. StarTech 18in SATA to Right Angle SATA Serial ATA Cable (SATA18RA1)

When buying this cable, note that one end has a 90 degree angled plug. This can be either an advantage or problem depending on the available space in your machine. In my case it made connecting two adjacent cables somewhat challenging.

As the title suggests. However, be mindful of where you're using the cable in your computer. The right angle end of the SATA cable is built in a way where the cable will be directed downwards when inserted properly. So theoretically, if you're inserting the right angle end of the cable into a hard drive that's placed in the bottom of your computer and faces the computer cover (such as the Dell XPS 420), then the cable will need to loop upwards towards the other SATA insert, which will create tension to the wiring when placing the cover back in place. That's not the manufacturer's fault, of course, but again, be careful.

The system did not recognize the drive with this cable. I had to borrow the DVD cable to get the drive recognized. Also, the right angle connector in the cable was backwards for the WD drive due to the drive's position in the bay. I wish there was a warning about this somewhere.

Required when you add a "bare bones" internal SATA disc drive. I believe most PCs lack a data plug for a second drive. My PC had an extra power plug so I didn't need a separate power cable. Worked with no problems.

I bought two of these along with 2x Samsung Internal Half Height DVD-W Supermulti SATA 22X Lightscribe. They are perfect in size to reach from any drive to the motherboard. Everything works fine and fast. The way it should be. If you buy a burner you'll need these since very few come with any cables at all.

I was fully aware of the 90 degree plug on one end and actually ordered it for that reason. I wanted to plug it into my DVD drive at the top of my case so a 90 degree plug sounded like a great idea. The issue is, the 90 degree plug is upside down. It is designed to go from the bottom of the case up, not the top of the case down. It still worked, I just had to essentially put it in upside down, but at 18 inches it was plenty long enough anyway.

Just something you should keep in mind when ordering. Otherwise it is a great cable and either way it's worth the $1-$2 you pay for it.

I never got to install the connector into my PC. Since it was to be used to connect a second hard disk drive, space was going to be a factor. However, I ran into one unexpected difficulty. One end of the connector is at a right angle to the rest of the wire. It can only be installed one way into the hard drive. This would have the right angle positioning the cable up, and into the cover panel; that is I could not put the cover back if I installed the cable's right angle side into the hard drive. If I tried to install the right angle side on the motherboard connector, it was blocked by one of the small electronic parts on the motherboard, and would not connect. I purchased a cable with straight connectors on both ends and returned this connector to Amazon for a full refund. The new cable installed easily and works fine. I expect the original cable would have worked if it would have fit; the difficulty was due to my mistake, or inexperience, in not being aware of the potential problem in the first place. - Sata - Cable - Sata Cables - Hard Drive'

Stops Snoring Pillow - anti-snoring pillow, stops snoring pillow

I bought this a few months ago and am still using it. The pillow does help keep you sleeping on your side. If sleeping on your side eliminates your snoring, this pillow will help you. If you snore like a mack truck pulling a load of gravel up a hill, this probably will not help you too much. I tried this in conjunction with one of the anti-snore mouthpieces on Amazon and was told that it cut the noise to a dull roar but did not stop the snoring to the point where other people could still sleep in the same room. I think it does help me breathe a bit better at nite and am still using it. The only downside is an occasional sore neck if you sleep on it the wrong way. If you are a "light snorer" and have room in the bed for it, I would definitely suggest you try it. If you can overpower a chainsaw with your snore, you should probably head straight to a CPAP machine.

This pillow is aaaaamazing. My husband was snoring so much that I had to use ear plugs; those didn't always work. I was ready to sleep in another room just to get a good night sleep. My husband ordered this. It took ahwile to get the pillow. (He was actually ready to go to a retail store to purchase a pillow.) We decided to wait for this one; I am so glad we did. I don't know how it works so well, but it does. I can sleep through the night and not wake up from his snoring. He says that it is comfortable and has no problem sleeping on this pillow. I would recommend to anyone!

Have only had this pillow for a few days, but I think it is giving me a better night's sleep. Most reviews are about men and snoring. My review is about a woman getting a better night's sleep. I havent really slept well for 25 years. Won't know for sure what the end result will be, but I sleep better and longer on the nights I use the pillow. The only night I just propped myself up on other pillows to watch tv in bed and then fell asleep, it was much worse trying to stay asleep. Pillow is a little oddly shaped, but if thats what it takes, I'll use it. I mostly sleep on my side, so that part isnt a problem. If you're getting a little older and not sleeping as well, I would recommend this. The price was only about half as much as others charge, and I doubt I would have paid over a hundred dollars to try something.

This pillow has stopped my snoring, according to my wife. I do seem to be getting better sleep. Had if for 2 weeks now, still adjusting to it.

Pros:

Seems to work for snoring.

Seems fairly well made.

Better sleep.

Cons:

Expensive.

You have to sleep with your arm out, under the pillow. It does not work without that. We used to have the bedroom fairly cold at night, under thick blankets. Had to turn the heater in the bedroom up a bit, your arm sticking out will get too cold in the winter.

You have to stick with it, and keep putting yourself in the correct position. It takes a while adjust, I am still getting used to it but I think soon it will be habit.

I am a 5'1" female and snore mild to medium, depending on the day. This pillow greatly reduced my snoring almost every night. However, it takes time to "break in". The pillow is VERY firm at first, but softens up after about a month. It is difficult to get used to if you are a shorter person (neckaches for the first few weeks). However, it is worth it to have stopped snoring completely.

The pillow does what it says. Forces you to sleep on your side. The center is too high to lay on your back with your head on it.

It does take getting used to. Read the instructions carefully on how to use it. My first night I laid with my head too close to the center and had a kink in my neck in the morning.

The quality of the pillow itself seems very good. Firm but not too hard. The pillow case that comes with it is nice. Protects the pillow and is washable.

I purchased this pillow as an attempt to try and help my snoring, especially during this dry winter. Although I still snore a little, so far it has helped according to my wife. Again, it's a positional thing. It won't work if you sleep on your back. If you sleep on your side, trying to sleep according to the directions can be somewhat uncomfortable, and sliding out of position and result in a bit more snoring agian. Decent product in my book, and worth a try as oppossed to getting my tonsils and adinoids cut out. I tried the mouthpieces, and this seems so far to work better. Worth a shot.

Pillow only works if you got a big bed (queen's size too small). You need enough space to have your arm under pillow (as they show on pictures). Otherwise person snoring will still roll onto their back and continue to snore. It gets even worse as my partner lay on the side of pillow which is much flatter.

My partner is back on his old pillow and I am using the new one as I prefer to sleep on my side anyways...

In short: Good choice only if you have a massive bed. - Anti-snoring Pillow - Stops Snoring Pillow - Sleep Apena Pillow - Side Sleeper'

Iphone Armband

I wanted something to hold my iPhone 4 when I take the dogs for a walk/run. I've never used such a contraption before and my other half purchased the Belkin DualFit armband, so I've been trying it out.

The Belkin DualFit armband, weighing 1.5 ounces, is a simple lightweight device used to store an iphone on your arm. The hand washable armband is sized by a Velcro strap and two slots. A larger enclosure holds the iPhone securely in place and fully covered. A clear plastic sheet encircled by a reflective strip protects the front of the iPhone while allowing the user to see and use the encased iPhone. A small pocket next to the larger water resistant enclosure is large enough to hold a house key or excess earphone wire.

There seems to be confusion about how to use the DualFit armband. When I first saw the armband, I thought I was to thread the strap through the inner slot, and loop it back through the outer slot. This just seems logical; however this method will size the armband between 9 to 11 inches. For larger arms, one should thread through the outer slot (as shown in the product image) which allows sizing between 11 and 15 inches. My initial confusion and comments from others indicates Belkin does a poor job of explaining how their product works.

The iPhone 4 fits in the DualFit's larger enclosure, but doesn't fit snugly. This is more of a visual issue than anything else. The iPhone4 is still protected from the weather, and fully functional.

I haven't bought my own armband yet, as sharing hasn't been a problem for us. When it becomes a problem, I will definitely consider purchasing this armband. If your looking for a weather resistant lightweight armband, the Belkin DualFit armband is worthy of consideration.

PROS:

Extra small pocket

Two slots for the perfect fit

Water resistant and lightweight

Comfortably fit up to a 15 inch arm

CONS:

Poor description and instructions

Fit for the iPhone 4 is a little sloppy Belkin Dual-Fit Armband for Apple iPhone (Black)

Belkin call this "Dual Fit" and the description says "easy on/off access so you can easily transition from your run to your daily routine". So I had the impression the case detached from the armband - it doesn't. I have no real idea what Dual Fit refers to, but this is simply a flexible protective cover attached to an armband - nothing more. It's comfortable and the iPhone seems fairly well protected from the elements, so I'd recommend it for that use. But I'd love to see a well designed easy-on-off cover that you really could use in "your daily routine".

I had high hopes for the Belkin Dual Fit Armband, but unfortunately the actual product fails to live up to my expectations. I was looking for a easy to use, comfortable armband that allowed me to use my interval running program on my iPhone as I begin my training regimen. Unfortunately, the only thing this product has going for it is that it is indeed comfortable, but using it is far from ideal. The issue is two fold and primarily lies in its design. I was disappointed when I first placed my iPhone 4 into the holder that the plastic screen cover wouldn't lay flat against my iPhone's glass screen, leading me to have to press 2-3x harder than normal to register nearly any press. Combined with the extra layer of glare the plastic screen cover added, it didn't matter if I couldn't press anything because I could barely see what i was trying to press. Only when i got back inside was I able to see anything useful on my screen. Unfortunately, no matter how comfortable this armband is (and indeed - it really is comfortable), if its not usable when its in the case theres really no way I can recommend this. I was able to take my iPhone in and out of the case fairly easily, for those concerned about how tight of a fit it was. I give it 2 stars for its comfort, but thats about its only redeeming quality.

Pros:

+ Comfortable

Cons:

- Poor fit/finish (Plastic screen protector inhibits iPhone screen usage)

- Additional layer of glare to content with in outdoor conditions

I ran 13 miles in a rainstorm and the arm band stayed in place and my iPhone was dry. It's comfortable but holds tight. I would say the band is kind of small. I have the strap almost maxed out and my arms are not that big.

This is my first review on an item. This item suck!!! save your money. Build quality is terrible, it takes 5 minutes to remove the phone from it becuase the platic just sticks on the screen. To small from my arm....... I take the lost, I read the reviews and it warned me. Now I am warning who ever is reading this stay away! It is sold in best buy so check it out for yourself.

I have recently puchased one from amazon. Although there were a few negative feedbacks I thought they were not solid enough to make me step back and also there were positive feedbacks too. Incredible! Don't buy it. Seriously. You can hardly insert iphone 4 into the case and you can very very hardly pull it back. I don't know what to do with it.'
