Laptop Accessories - playstation 3, laptop accessories

First thought out of the box, solid construction. light weight and virtually silent. I have had my netbook running about 6 hours now (plugged in) and it's nice and cool. I added velcro pads to the legs of the fan and bottom of computer, now it goes everywhere with the netbook. for the price, it is just what I needed. USB Powered Dual Fan Universal Folding Laptop Cooling Pad - Adjustable to fit all size notebooks

I ordered this product. When it arrived, it looked reasonable -- but cheap with flimsy plastic. However, one pad was missing and another half torn off.

I returned it, and re-ordered. The second arrived with one fan broken. I returned this and gave up (I have a low tolerance threshold, and 2 is my limit).

Fortunately, Amazon has one that's roughly the same price, arrives in 2 days, and is made out of metal raher than plastic. It's at Black Mini Portable Folding Notebook Latpop Cooler Pad w/2 60mm Fans

Cooling fan missing pads to hold the laptop up and secure it in place. Called DB customer service center in regards via email and phone on numerous accounts and still have yet to hear a word its been over a month i even had the phone hung up on me after being on hold for 20 min...

One of the fans immediately broke after using it for the first time. Luckily I only use this on my net book and i use the fan on the one side that gets hot. Still very disappointed and would have just went with a cheaper one if i wanted it to break so fast.

This is a handy little gadget that folds small enough to fit easily in your carry bag. It's lightweight but seems to be sturdy and well made.

It also comes with two extra feet that snap on if you prefer to tilt your netbook. I use it for my 7" netbook, but it adjusts to fit a 10" or 15". I had to move the arms around a bit until I got them in the right position, but that's because I was anxious to see how it worked and didn't take the time to look at the picture.

It's so nice to be able to work for long periods of time without my netbook getting hot. That can't have been good for it.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is, while it's very quiet, there is a slight vibration.

I'm very pleased with this product and the price is certainly right.

This little contraption, aside from being little, is very quiet--I can use it without distracting others around me. It does a good job keeping my computer cool, but I have to position it just right, and it looks a little awkward, plus if it's not centered just right you have a wobbly situation. Overall though I'd recommend it, you can't beat the price.

For it's price you can't go wrong. The USB is very flimsy. The first one I got the usb stopped working after 1 day but they sent me a whole new item without me returning the defected one. They were very responsive and prompt.

The legs fell off and broke the day after I received the product, but the fan still works. I have it sitting between the laptop and the laptop stand, but if I did not have the stand, the product would be useless after the legs broke off. I would not buy another one as cheap as this again.

This is a cheap product and helps in cooling your laptop well. My laptop's internal cooling fan got broken, so laptop used to shutdown withing 15 minutes due to overheating. Using this cooling fan, I was able to run laptop for long time with this. Also since its foldable, I can fold it and put it in my Laptop backpack easily. However 2 major disadvantages are that it may not last for long. I started using mine in February 2011 and it ran perfectly till july 2011. But then one of the blades of the right side fan broke and sometimes it used to start and sometimes not. Also for using this fan, u either need to place it on a flat surface like a table of floor. for any other surface like a bed, u need to put it on a medium thick book like a college textbook or else it will not work due to interference from bed sheet etc. But this is problem with all kinds of cooling fans

Pros: Silent, fits different sizes of laptops, effective in cooling, cheap and good value for money, efficient is using power of ur laptop

Cons: Not long lasting, may break after 6-7 months - Cooling - Laptop Accessories - Playstation 3 - Laptop Fan'

Docking Stations - alarm clock, sony

11/04 Review Update. I have been having a lot of problems with the Dock for this product, which is really a shame. Its great in all other ways but I keep it at my desk at work and so I am always taking my iPhone on and off the dock. The dock is sort of flimsy plastic and it slides around very freely when extended. So when you are trying to put your iphone on the dock, the dock is sliding back & forth and so I have to hold the dock with one hand to keep it still while I try to dock the iphone. If you don't get it docked just right, the iphone complains this unit is not compatible with the iphone, etc.. I think this is due to the pins not lining up right. Its really annoying. I dropped a star off my review.

Also, forget trying to keep your iphone in its case, the dock unit is not adjustable (online other sony clock radios that offer iphone docking). As the main thrust of this unit is to be a dock for your iphone or ipod, its a shame Sony didn't spend a little more time on making the dock more sturdy and capable of keeping your case on.

--------

Just got this in - some initial comments that I will update later. So far I am really blown away by what Sony has crammed into this thing. It is by far the ultimate ipod desk or bedside accessory. Sony is really pushing the limits of an ipod/iphone accessory here. Looking at my review, you see a lot of cons - I think its because this unit pushes the limits so far that people will have thoughts on how it could be improved. Nothing is 'wrong' with this unit really, its just some of my personal preferences I think.

Despite some of the design flaws, overall its a fantastic unit. However, it might get promoted to my desk as opposed to bedside. I don't know that i really need a video screen bedside & a digital picture frame. At my desk tho, that would be much handier.

Pro's:

LCD Screen is extremely bright & crisp - you can play video from the ipod or iphone or from internal memory or a memory card or USB stick! I would have no probs watching tv episodes or even a movie off this screen. You can even watch youtube videos on the LCD playing from the iphone. You can choose full screen or fit to screen for video and stills. Video screen integration with the iphone is simply put, exceptional.

The unit has a memory card slot and a usb slot plus 1gb of internal storage. You can play stills, music & video from the internal storage or the memory card or the iphone. Extreme flexibility.

You have decent playback controls on the unit to control playback from the iPhone. Buttons are hard to see when "in bed" as they are flush on the unit's base, you'll have to just learn where they are I guess.

4 brightness settings for the LCD screen including "nightmode". My wife would kill me if this thing lit up the bedroom. Nightmode essentially just puts the time on the screen very very faintly, so faint even in total darkness its faint - I like it!

Built in battery for when you lose power - nice touch. Supposed to have auto time set but it didn't work for me. I had to set the clock manually.

Slide out tray for your iphone, etc. seems to be able to hold my iphone in its case - great news. Tray is not the best design tho.

Track & playback information displays on the display when you play music from the ipod - very cool. No album artwork on the unit however.

In settings you can see the "software" version which says 1.0. Maybe this implies we'll get updates for it that you can load via memory card? That would be nice. There are a few features that could act differently. Fixing nightmode and adding album artwork would be great.

Cons:

No remote. Seriously Sony? Not even for basic functions like volume and play / pause? Serious lack of thought for a pricey item. My last Sony ipod clock radio had a great remote & was almost half this price. Sad face. This is a really glaring omission.

Speaker quality is pretty "tinny" - I was under impressed with the sound coming from this unit. My last Sony iphone clock radio had great speakers and cost less than $100. So the trade off is I get a video player but my music quality drops a lot. Again, tho, clock radio - not meant to be a full sound system.

The iPhone / iPod dock could have been better made. It feels flimsy and I have to use both hands to dock the iphone. One to hold the entire unit steady and one to place the iphone in the cradle. The dock locks when you push it into the body of the unit but when you extend it, it does not lock into place and slides back & forth. I sense a potential point of failure here.

It seems you can't delete the internal "demo" photos or video. Sounds silly but I don't want to see "demo" pics on my slide show. I figured out that if you play the slideshow from a memory card it skips the internal pics. There are about 6 pics of "kids" and landscape that always repeat if you play the slideshow from the internal memory. Very annoying that if you play the slideshow from the internal memory you are stuck with "demo kid" and stock photo shots in your mix.

You have to go into the settings to switch to video playback for the iPhone, it would be nice if you could switch to video easier than that. Also, if you stop playing video or use another function on the clock, you have to go back to video settings and switch to ipod video again. I'd like a button on the unit to do that.

I can't figure out how to turn the clock off when watching a video from the ipod, it displays the time in the lower right corner. Would be nice to be able to clear the screen while watching a video.

It seems you can't enter 'nightmode" when listening to music or using the "sleep timer" function. The screen stays on the lowest regular setting which is quite bright in total darkness. I'll have to play with it more - maybe they can patch it. This is a pretty big issue, what's the point of a sleep timer if the thing is lighting up the entire room.

The unit has no audio in (fail) and no headphone jack. It could really use both of these but you can plug in your iphone headphone while watching video on the screen. Emergency Preparedness - camping, survival

Just what you need in a pinch and nice and small. Although if I had payed attention to the shipping cost that was one dollar less than the cost of the item, I would have put my own together with an Altoids box. Basic Emergency Survival Fishing Kit

This is a great little fishing kit. It contains a more comprehensive collection of items when compared with other survival fishing kits that are similarly priced. Everything is organized and separated inside, and the tin stays securely shut, but also opens without a struggle. This was shipped promptly, and arrived only a few days after we ordered it. I definitely recommend this for your survival or camping backpack!

It could have contained a few more items in the extra space with minimum cost to the manufacturer. I used this as a kit to "build on". Added a few more hooks, small bobbin of about 20ft of kevlar thread, razor blade, folded 4"x4" piece of foil for adding "flash" to the bait. I put it in with my speed-hooks, and yo-yos for camping/survival fishing. - Survival - Paracord - Camping - Emergency Kit'

Samsung 1080p Lcd Hdtv - 1080p, samsung 1080p lcd hdtv

Beautiful looking set, great picture. BUT - steady buzz from back of set. Not very loud, but clearly shouldn't be there. When sitting in front of the TV with it turned on, you really can't notice. But if you turn volume down, or mute, it is clearly noticable. Called customer service - and she was clearly someone with barebones training. Most questions I asked her, she put me on hold and obviously checked with someone else. Anyway, bottom line is she came back to the phone and told me that 'that's normal; that's the way the set sounds'. I voiced my concern about this answer, but clearly was not going to get any further on this phonecall. Hung up. To be sure I wasn't being too picky, I had my wife and a brother come into den, where this TV is, and they both agreed that this was, in fact, NOT normal - at all! Called Samsung back, gave them history, and told the guy NOT to tell me this was 'normal'. He didn't. Instead he dispatched local repair shop. Several days later service guy arrived, and took set apart. He figured out which module was buzzing, and ordered one. Two weeks later he returned with an entire front panel of the TV. This includes new screen, frame, most of the guts (including buzzing component), less one board, and power supply. Samsung told him to order it that way, not just the "failing" component (?) Almost a new TV entirely! He put it all together, and guess what? The noise was still there, but now louder than ever! That was a few days ago, and here I sit with my now louder buzzing TV, that I can now hear, sitting in front of set with normal volume on. And Samsung says this is Normal !! Grrrrrrrrrr. The service guy now plans on ordering a new power supply, and replacing that. If that doesn't work, he thinks a new set entirely is in order! Except for 1 board where all the jack connectors are, the metal back panel, and the pedestal, isn't that what I already have?? ! To be continued.... Samsung LN37C550 37-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)

The picture quality is very nice, set up is intuitive, and the styling is attractive. The first TV had a loud buzzing sound emanating from the rear. Other reviewers have noted this and it was noticeable at normal listening levels. Some times it was loud as soon as the set was turned on and other times it became louder over time.

The second set hasn't had this problem yet. A low buzzing sound is still present, but you cannot hear it while watching TV. There appears to be an issue with a component on this model since my older Samsung doesn't exhibit this problem.

The price is right and the set is very nice, but you may have to exchange it due to the buzzing sound.

I took a chance on an open box offer from Amazon Warehouse Deals...wont do that again!

Pros: Great Price, Beautiful TV, Fantastic Picture, Easy return policy (Thumbs up Amazon!!!)

Cons: BZZZzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz...the noiZZZZe from the back of the TV was annoying! Back to the Amazon Warehouse buZZard!

Dont be afraid to buy a SAMSUNG TV! I have 3 now and they are gorgeous TVs. Purchased NEW, but different model for a bit more $ but I am still very happy with the purchase.

Word of Advice - make sure you have a good return policy in place if buying used, refurb or open items!

Right when you turn the set on, there's a loud buzzing sound which is noticeable from atleast 10 feet away. So I'd turn the volume up to around 20 and still noticeable (I have pretty good hearing). But the buzzing sound constantly comes and goes which is pretty annoying. Also if you switch the 'Energy Saving Mode' to anything besides off, the sound is constantly there. Overall, the tv has great picture and sound, but the buzzing sound ruins the tv experience.

grabbed 1 on sale this week to replace

a very very old unit in the home.

the entire viewing family is VERY pleased

with this unit.

1 - we don't have the high buzzing sound

from ours that one person mentioned as a

defective unit.

2 - the dark colored front panel controls

on the lower front bezel are a bit light

but we mostly use the remote controls so

that isn't a real issue.

unit fits our built in hardwood multi

media cabinetry perfectly 37" is the

right choice for our smaller viewing area.

i think the screen views well even from

extreme side seating locations.

things i might suggest to the factory;

1 - it seemed the set had minimal padding

inside when i opened the box. ours is, as

i said, in perfect shape, but if i was

the factory QC guy, i'd be putting more

protection in front of the screen. ours

used a 2 inch space for protection and the

box itself.

2 - i'd try to put small recessed handle

grabs in the rear frame in a larger design

element like this. lifting it is a two

person job per the manual but both people

found their grips slipping on the highly

polished (and good looking) set edges.

our entire extended family seems to have

settled on the Samsung line. that's

about 12 sets! really; we all love this

brand, have many different styles and

have had great experiences with the

performance and reliability of the Samsung

equipment. we did get an extended warranty

anyway on an investment like this one.

i haven't tried the connectivity to my

home network yet, but the menu seems well

designed and very logical. my wife is becoming

the family set it up expert.

i gave this 5 stars in the rating.

very pleased.

oh... i have a large surge suppressor

UPS box on the infeed from the electric

outlet. we have them on ALL our electronic

devices, PC, etc. power in our area is very

prone to spikes and storm related events.

i'd suggest this to anyone. - Hdtv - Samsung 1080p Lcd Hdtv - Samsung Lcd - 1080p'

Books Read Since 2000 - nutrition, cookbook

This is a truly incredible book. It is filled with TONS of nutrition information about the healthiest foods and the healthiest methods for cooking each of them. It also includes a quick-and-easy recipe for each specific food (e.g., tomatoes, cabbage, bananas), as well as a number of variations on that recipe. The recipes I have tried have all been incredibly tasty, figure-friendly, and easy to prepare. This book is large and packed with more information than you will ever be able to absorb. If you could only purchase one cookbook, this is the one I would recommend (and I own hundreds!). 5 stars. The World's Healthiest Foods, Essential Guide for the Healthiest Way of Eating

George Mateljan presents the world's healthiest foods and includes over 500 delicious recipes to ensure that our diets include foods that have the "greatest number of health-promoting nutrients." He gives detailed information on 100 foods that are not only flavorful; they are the foods you need to enjoy a vibrantly healthy lifestyle.

What you will notice when using the recipes or including the foods recommended for your diet, is an increase in positive energy, creativity and a feeling of being happy to be alive. After only three or four days you can start to experience renewed vitality and visible changes in energy levels and overall health. Some of the highlights include:

What are the Word's 100 Healthiest Foods?

The Healthiest Way of Eating Plan - complete week-to-week plan with page numbers for the recipes to make each day.

Through this book you learn to cook with herbs and spices, incorporate whole grains into breads and eat a healthy balance of protein and carbohydrates. The foods are organized according to nutrient-rich qualities. A shopping list at the end of the book makes this user-friendly and encourages you to remember to buy the healthiest foods each and every time you go shopping.

If you have an interest in Sea vegetables (like toasted Nori you can also use for sushi) for their anti-inflammatory properties, they are easy to buy in sheets and I found you can add some to even the simplest of chicken soups to create a more healthy meal. A recipe for Hijiki Cucumber Salad makes use of Hijiki and you can add in tamari and ginger. Many of the recipes include intriguing variations.

Imagine dipping fresh breads into a garlic dip made with fresh garlic, lemon juice and garbanzo beans. Do you only have five minutes to create a healthy snack? Try the Cranberry and Fresh Pear Cobbler. I loved the idea of adding yogurt and topping the tasty treat with granola. This idea has endless variations throughout the seasons and you can substitute any number of fresh fruits in season. This no bake recipe is delicious any time of the year. Other recipes you may enjoy:

Tuna Salad without Mayo (he uses lemon juice, tofu, herbs and olive oil)

Healthy Sautéed Scallops (garlic, lemon juice, olive oil)

Steamed Mashed Potatoes

Tropical Banana Treats

Grapefruit Sunrise (You can also use frozen watermelon and orange juice for a similar experience)

Papaya with Lime

In the winter this book becomes very useful when you make your own chicken soups or stocks. You can then add the healthiest vegetables and even sliced organic greens to make delicious winter soups you can freeze and reheat at a moment's notice.

Interested in how to use Turmeric? Advice is given on how to add the powder at the end of cooking for the best results. This is an anti-inflammatory agent used by the Chinese and in India. Dr. Weil talks about a tea that is made by people who live long healthy lives. You can also find it in tablet form, but it is more delicious when you cook.

"Turmeric's powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capacities help explain why many people with joint disease find relief when they use this spice regularly." ~pg. 701

The section on herbs and spices gives you ideas for what to include in your spice cupboard (dried) or refrigerator (fresh). Black pepper, ginger, dill, cilantro, rosemary and cinnamon are included. The section on dietary fiber had a few surprises, like raspberries are listed right along with carrots and eggplant so you can expand your ideas on what counts as fiber, vs. what you thought was fun for dessert.

A special section for fighting disease gives ideas on how to feel better fast. If you want to improve your hair and nail health, you can start to eat more "biotin-containing" foods and increase foods with Omega-3 fatty acids that can also help with migraines and depression. So truly as you increase health in one area, you increase overall health.

This book is definitely about lifestyle and incorporating healthy choices into everyday living. As I'm writing this, I just finished cooking a spaghetti squash and have chicken with herbs roasting in the oven. The aromas of home cooking are inspirational and the healthy way you feel when you cook with the foods recommended in this book is priceless.

In what seems like no time at all, you can bake squash, cook up a chicken dish for dinner and even make homemade bread with rye and oats. Having a bread maker, a blender, a good set of sharp knives and a few essentials like a steamer basket and a set of pots and pans (especially a stock pot for soups) will take you a long way while using this book. You don't even have to make your own stocks because stock paste is readily available in most grocery stores.

Cooking can be as fun as creating art or making music. You are fully participating in the dance of life and feeling healthy and alive is the bonus of the "healthiest foods" lifestyle. Now when you go to the grocery store you can buy items you never tried before, because you have all the recipes you need and many of the recipes don't even require "cooking." Most of the ingredients are very familiar and the extensive index helps you to locate ingredients fast. So if you have strawberries from your last shopping trip, you can quickly turn to page 647 and make a fruit smoothie.

This truly is one of the most exciting "cookbooks" you will ever buy because it not only incorporates delicious foods into your diet, you become healthier with each recipe you try and you understand why you feel better. Honestly, this book will change your life!

Water Filter For Refrigerator - 4396841, water filter

I paid almost as much for this as I would have had to pay in the store, and it has never worked since the day I installed it. I kept thinking that maybe it needed to be in awhile and the bad taste would go away, but it has not. Once in awhile it tastes better for a glass or two, but most of the water and ice are terrible. I had a filter in that came with the refrigerator for two years and never had any bad ice or water, and ever since I changed to this one it has all been bad, so there must be something wrong with the filter. It is supposed to be the exact filter that came with my fridge when it was new according to the website, but it does not work the same. I am not entirely sure if it is even new, perhaps they are recycled or maybe it was just defective, but it is too difficult to try to fix it through the internet and the mail, so now I will be forced to go to the local store and buy another after just paying for a new one. If I were you, I would just get your replacements at a local store, if it doesn't work right, at least you can take it back easily and exchange it. I will not order one this way again, I will use a hardware store or department or appliance store. Whirlpool 4396841 PUR Push Button Side-by-Side Refrigerator Water Filter, 1-Pack

This filter lasted about 7 months for our family of four. It provides crystal clear and very good tasting drinking water. It's very quick and easy to replace and it can be done in about 30 seconds. The only down side is the cost is a little on the high side and this filter only removes 4 different contaminants. I pay a few more dollars now and get the PUR 4396710 that removes 12 different contaminants including harmful substances like lead, mercury, asbestos. If you want good tasting water then this filter will do the trick. If you want good tasting and healthy water then get the PUR 4396710.

Overall we have found this to be a great water filter. But we have had our water tested by a professional, both at the tap, and at the filtered tap on the refrigerator. Both waters tested the same for chlorine content, however, the particle contaminants were greatly reduced by the filter on the refrigerator.

Something to note on your water filter.

The light is merely a timed indicator of when they want you to replace the filter. Think of it as a "countdown timer" that starts as soon as you reset it. It is in no way measuring the amount of water you are consuming... Personally, I used to change out the filter every 6 months when the indicator light came on, but we rarely use the water/ice now, so I haven't changed it (or reset it) in over a year although I probably will soon. I actually cut the first one in half to see how "contaminated" the filter was and to my surprise, it looked like a brand new filter...

The life of a filter depends on a couple of things.

1. The amount of contaminants in your water (well water is typically the worst)

2. The amount of water that passes through the filter

If you have low contaminants and/or use very little filtered water, your filter will last much longer than 6 months. If you pay attention to the amount of water flow and the size of your ice cubes, you can more accurately determine the proper time to replace the filter.

I have county water and we also have installed a "whole house" water filtration system, so I can probably get closer to 2 years out of a filter. Obviously, not everyone has these installed though, just use common sense on when to replace your filter and you'll be fine.

P.S. Why is it more expensive per unit to buy the 3-pack than it is to buy the 2-pack? Am I the only one that found this odd?

When I installed the new filter I didn't realize that we would go through a period where the water tasted "funny", at least that's how my wife described it. It took about a week for the taste of the water to return to normal. That was the only thing that I didn't realize when I replaced the filter. Besides that it worked fine.

I don't know why but the water tastes horrible after I installed the filter. I ran the water for a while like it said to do and have tried using for a couple weeks but I just can't stand the taste. It apparently doesn't work.

Update: It seems to taste fine in the morning and afternoon but horrible in the evenings. Not sure why that is. - Water Filter For Refrigerator - Fridge Filter - Water Filter - 4396841'

Wall Charger - evo, adapter

I needed a replacement for the original charger (which i lost) that came with my phone. I couldnt find it on Sprint's website or HTC's website. Sprint wanted $25+ for 3rd party universal chargers. I found this charger and didnt hesitate. It came exactly as described and actually included the USB cable (though this may have been a mistake, they clearly say it doesnt). Its identical to the original charger, couldnt be happier. Travel Charger U250, Black, for HTC Thunderbolt

If you own an HTC Incredible phone (and I expect any similar model), your phone package when you first buy it will include a micro USB cable and an adapter as phone in the photo (HTC U250).

IF you're like me and you want a backup charging unit at work, you will need a (1) any generic micro USB cable and (2) this particular sort of OEM adapter.

As I've had to find out by trial and error (I'm not entirely sure why, probably has to do with voltage), it's highly recommended you grab this adapter.

I tried ordering a $1.00 off of Ebay previously and also as a 3-and-1 generic iPod charging set from Fry's. While both adapters would let me charge my phone, none of these would allow me to use the phone while it is plugged into the usb/charging adapter combination.

Looking at the generic adapter, it says input: 110-220V, output: 5V squiggly 700mA. Whereas the HTC adapter says input: 100-240V and output: 5V squiggly 1.0 A. Squiggly is a symbol with a solid dash and then a dotted dash below it that represents the direct current symbol, according to my guess + wikipedia.

*sighs* I need to study up on electronics as some point. But anyhow, this adapter works 100%! If you're in a hurry, you may be able to find a cheaper substitute.

First of all, when you receive this item, it will not look like it does in the picture. What I received was a generic charger for my myTouch 4g. It was rectangular in shape and did not have HTC written anywhere on the product. Second of all, it didn't charge my phone...at all. I mean it didn't even attempt to charge my phone, lol. Uhm, I would be very, very, very pissed right now, if it weren't for the seller giving me my money back, without the hassle of sending the item back. Nevertheless, I have to warn you not to buy this item. It doesn't work and you will not receive the item pictured. That is all - you have been warned.

I ordered three of these chargers. All three have be previously used. They are not in OEM packaging, and have scratches;nicks and swirl marks in the plastic. None of the chargers deliver an acceptable charging rate: from 112ma down to 22ma. The Factory charger that came with the phone delivers 374ma minimum. These chargers I believe are defective returns being sold as new.

Info/Intro

I wanted an additional USB charger for my HTC Incredible so I bought this one. It looks the same and the model# is the same as the original (TC U250) but the HTC part# is different (Orig= 79H00098-14M, replacement= 79H00095-0M). The electrical specs printed on the new one are the same as the original but the fonts are different and the layout of the info is a little different.

Good:

- Arrived quickly. Kudos to Amazon (as usual)

- Unit looks the same

- 1.0A (1000ma) output - makes for a speedy charge. Most USB charging units like this tend to put out between 500-700ma. Higher output = faster charge.

Bad:

- When charging my phone, the screen freezes and becomes completely unresponsive.

Since this is the fault of something electrical in the unit I cannot use this to charge my phone with confidence. I am concerned it may result is damage of some kind that may not be covered by my phone's warranty. Personally? I think this may be an instance of a pirated item that made it past an inspector along the way and is being sold as OEM. Either way, it is going back.

Although mine did look to be OEM, my phone's touch screen is slugish or unresponsive when pluged in to it. To be fair, it does charge. However, if it works at the expense of my phone's performance, I don't want it. I guess you get what you pay for.

Disappointed with this product and reseller. Is a USED charger with lots of scratches and swirl marks. Reseller should advertise it as such, instead, there is absolute no mention of this in the product info. Very deceptive practices and I will avoid them in the future.

I placed an order for two chargers. While they are the HTC chargers depicted, they are not new. There are tons of light swirl marks in the gloss coat, such as what a charger might look after it has been carried around in a messenger bag for a year so.

I have purchased four of these for myself and as gifts to my family and will be purchasing two more today. These adapters are compact and work for all our devices that came with a USB cord, including iPod Touch, MiFi router, EVO, Sansa MP3 players, etcetera. I carry one in my backpack because I never know when one of my devices needs to plug into an outlet.

When I received my charger in the mail, it was beat up, scratched, and evidently used by a previous owner. Mine also did not come in the original package, like the one shown in the picture on Amazon. In fact, mine just came in a generic plastic bag. DO NOT trust this seller because they evidently do not know what good business practice is. I am quite disappointed that I had to pay the money for this kind of junk. - Charger - Adapter - Htc - Evo'

Color Printer - wireless printer, amazon

HP sent me an email showing this model on sale. I already had an older Photosmart C7180 but I thought this one might be better - it had an ADF for one thing. After setting it up, it wouldn't print. Had to call tech support at India Central, and I spent four hours with a nice enough fellow who, alas, didn't know much about the printer. Okay, so it finally would print.

But it wouldn't scan. I then did some checking and found out most people had the same problem. The scan software didn't work, or if it did, you had to reconnect it to the computer each and every time you wanted to scan something. If you have a big stack of photos to scan, this is impossible.

Today I spent two hours with tech support, and they finally admitted I had a bad printer. "But! We will send you another!" I just laughed and told him he was going to send me a return address slip and give me my money back. He finally gave in.

This printer is meant to be disposable. HP makes the big bucks off the toner.

Next time I want to buy an HP product, I'm going to read the users forums very carefully. I could have saved six hours, and at my age, that's kinda crucial. And finally - HP printer software usually provides you with an HP Solution Center that makes the various functions very easy. The 6500A does NOT have it, and from what the tech told me, it never will. It has, you see, this cute little color touchscreen that doesn't do much at all.

Swell. HP Officejet 6500A e-All-in-One (CN555A#B1H)

I choose the HP Officejet 6500A e-All-in-One (CN555A#B1H) (not the Plus version) because of its many great features at a very reasonable price. But I was really blown away after I had printed a test page and then copied that page. The test page had blocks of the primary colors in addition to blocks of very fine horizontal and vertical black lines. Except for a few small areas in the fine lines, the original and copy were indistinguishable; and in those areas the difference was barely distinguishable. Perfect!

The lack of a wireless connection within the printer is not a problem since I connected the printer (via an Ethernet cable) to my wireless router. This makes the printer accessible even from computers with only a wireless connection to my home network.

My one area of initial disappointment was the lack of some advanced printing features such as preview, manual duplex, and booklet printing. But all of these features became available after a fairly simple change. First I removed the printer as installed by the HP software, and then re-installed it using the "Add Printer" tab on Windows 7 "Printer and Devices" screen. This finds and installs a different set of drivers that provide the missing advanced printing features. (I did this under Windows 7, but was unsuccessful in achieving these features with Windows Vista.)

Addional info added April 2, 2011... Before my initial review, I had only used manual duplex in conjunction with booklet printing. But when I later tried to print normal full pages with manual duplex the pages were streched so I lost the bottom lines on each page. After a lot of experimententation, I discovered that when adding "another" printer if I selected "HP" and "Officejet 7400", then pages would print correctly even with full pages and manual duplex. The printing preferences are presented somewhat differently - manual duplex is selected with "Printed on Both Sides (Manually)", but it works as do Booklet printing and Print preview. And I failed to mention previously that adding the printer must be done as a network printer. Adding as a USB printer automatically selects the feature-poor driver.

I also checked using "Add Printer" with Windows Vista again. This time I was able to add printers both as "HP Officejet 6500 E709a Series" and as "HP Officejet 7400 series". (Time, Windows Updates, and/or inrervening re-boots must have changed the situation.) Both the 6500 and 7400 printer drivers provided the enhanced features, but only the 7400 avoided the full-page duplex-printing error.

I have owned several HP printers before this one. The last one was HP Officejet All-in-One that I purchased 3 years ago and had problems with paper hanging up, poor print quality, and faxing. I decided to try HP Officejet All-in-One once more for my home office. HP seem to have worked out all of those problems. I have not experienced any of those things with this printer. This printer have been very reliable, with my many tasks, since my purchase. I would recommend it to family and friends because of the reliability and print quality of photos and documents, scanning, faxing, and coping.

My son's a software engineer, so it was simple to setup:~), about 20 min. Prints great. Scanned only once- watercolor art, it overlapped the window so a bit faded, need to try again, but was still good. Has a color enhancer button before printing, have to try. Scanned to memory card, it goes in the slot, you scroll pics on the viewer. Haven't tried fax and don't want or need it. Ink is smaller bottles initial size, but I like the price on refills isn't bad, comparatively, a reason I bought this. So far, excellent value. - Wireless Printer - All-in-one - Color Printer - Amazon'
