Kindle 2 Leather Cover - m-edge, kindle 2 case

This cover is for all intents and purposes 100% perfect. Why I received my package (cover and Kindle) I first opened the cover. After looking it over I then opened the Kindle and put it straight in the case.

Putting the Kindle in the case is very easy. All you need to do is align the bottom prong on the cover with the bottom slot on the side of the Kindle. Once you put that one in you then align the top prong and slot, slide the prong down, insert, and release.

The top prong is spring loaded. This ensures that the Kindle is held in snugly but can still be taken out of the case with ease.

As you may notice, this cover is very similar to the Amazon cover but is far superior for one reason. Inside the cover it has two corner straps opposite the pronged edge and yet it is still the same price as the Amazon cover!

This is a pretty big deal. One thing that has been known to happen is a person picking up their Kindle and cover and then opening up the 'Back' flap of the kindle cover. Because the prongs are attached to the back flap, and the Kindle is attached to the prongs the plastic around the prongs cracks. With the straps within the M-edge cover will not arise.

The rundown -

- Pros -

* It's leather - One person said it smells funny. It smells like leather and leather oil

* Price - $29.99, thank you!

* Perfect fit - Other M-edge covers have a large spine so they can hold their special book-light. This one is plain and simple!

* Secure - It has straps!

- Cons -

* It doesn't do the dishes? Nope, guess I still have to do them.

This is a perfect 5/5 M-Edge GO! Leather Kindle Jacket with Hinge (Fits 6" Display, 2nd Generation Kindle), Smooth Mocha Brown

I just received my M-Edge GO! jacket in today's mail. (3 days sooner than they said it would be here!)

What a difference from the Amazon Kindle2 jacket I had been using, which, FWIW, cost the same.

The M-Edge is good quality leather, doesn't STINK like the other one did, and feels good in my hands. It feels soft and smooth to the touch.

The mocha color is a little darker than it appears on the website, but still very nice and looks "classy".

I like the little bands that hold the right corners in, along with the hinge for the left side. Feels nice and secure.

It's a little thicker than the Amazon one, but that just makes it feel as though it will protect my Kindle better. It still folds neatly for one handed reading, and still fits into the case I've been using for transport.

Thumbs up, M-Edge!

The Go cover by m-edge is really nice. If you liked the amazon cover but would like better quality leather, a different color and just general overall better quality this cover is for you.

I just received my mocha brown cover today and it is very nice. Feels better to hold than the amazon cover. Its slightly thicker which I feel makes it more comfortable. The spine is more sturdy than the amazon cover. It still fold back flat and has a slim profile. Since this cover is priced the same as amazon's cover I would highly recommend this cover. Its a bargain as the leather and the overall quality is much nicer than amazon's cover. I hope they eventually add more colors such as blue and green like they have with there other jackets.

Buyer beware! This cover may seem like the perfect accessory for your Kindle 2, but it could DESTROY YOUR KINDLE! As you may already know, the hinge system on the Kindle 2 is kinda faulty--if you put too much pressure on the hinges, it starts forcing the Kindle apart and cracking it. With normal use, the latches on the M-edge GO! actually bent upwards and started to break apart my Kindle. Thank God I caught it before it did any permanent damage. I sent it back before the 30 days were up for a full refund. I'm sure there are lots of people who were satisfied with the product, but in my opinion, this cover is NOT WORTH THE RISK.

For those who have the Amazon case this is pretty much the same general design. You have the hinges in the center spine which secure the Kindle2. This however, unlike the Amazon case also has additional corner straps on the opposite side to keep the Kindle secured to the back of the cover.

The leather is of nice quality and is breaking in nicely. The folding it backwards for reading was never a real problem big problem but it was a little stiff for the first day or two but its easier now that it has broken in a bit. The padding seems to be ever so sightly thicker than the Amazon one and although I wont consciously test it I feel that it would provide some protection for my Kindle should it fall.

I really like the brown they selected for this cover as well. Its a medium/dark brown marbled with dark brown.

There's nothing quite like the smell of leather. And while books aren't bound in leather anymore, it's an aroma that just goes hand in hand with a comfortable chair, and a good book.

The GO! uses a very nice, rich brown leather that is soft, but with enough texture to make it easy to keep a good grasp of the Kindle as you read. It looks like a book, and adds just enough weight to the Kindle to make it feel like a book as well.

The front cover folds back behind the Kindle for easy one-hand reading. A touch stiff in the spine at first, it seems like it will loosen up with some use. The covers are also stiff enough to provide some protection for the screen. The Kindle mounts securely in it, and doesn't slide around at all while reading.

There are no pockets inside or out, and no clasp to keep the covers closed. This is purely a cover, and not a glorified organizer that happens to hold a Kindle. But if you just want a simple, elegant Kindle cover that doesn't get in the way, you can't go wrong with the GO! - Kindle - Kindle 2 Case - M-edge - Kindle 2 Leather Cover'

Not too much to say as there isn't really a lot you would expect from a product like this, but it does its job of organizing my coupons to take to the store. Mens Underwear - hanes, undershirts

I always buy Fruit of the Loom T shirts for my son

and have been pleased. But this packet of T shirts

was totally different than any that I have purchased before.

They were very thin & flimsy. They shrunk after washing them

in cold water. Never put them in the dryer. Extremely poor quality. Fruit of the Loom Men's 2-Pack Pocket Crew Neck T-Shirt,Black/Grey,Medium

My old lightweight pocket ts are about 4-5 years old and their supply is dwindling, which is what led me to try these. One of the negative reviews said these shirt were much more lightweight than the regular fruit of the loom shirt, and happily for me, they were right. Lately, I have been having a heck of a time finding any lightweight pocket t-shirts, the previous brands I used to buy have all gone to "heavy duty" or "heavyweight". Heavyweight is great for durability, but it has been in the 90s and 100s for weeks here in Virginia; therefore lightweight is a must!

While they are indeed lightweight, they seem well enough made and of high enough quality. I don't see any lose threads, or anything like that. The shirts fit well and are very comfortable, and the pockets are big enough for a large smartphone and a few credit cards

I wish I could buy just the tan (pebble) but both are lightweight enough that I am not worrying too much about being out in the sun this week. In fact - I just bought two more 2-packs

The only point reduction I give is that they seem to stain somewhat easily.

If you are looking for heavy weight pocket ts? Well, keep on looking. I have found a wide variety of those on Amazon and elsewhere, but if you want heavyweight, these are not the ts you're looking for.

My husband will only wear Dark Blue or Black T-shirts by Fruit of the Loom, made in the USA and they are getting harder and harder to find because everything is being made in China or the UK. I hope I am able to continue buying ~made in the USA products at least on line. Thank you Amazon - Crewneck - Mens Underwear - Hanes - Undershirts'

Treasure From Hell - favors, treasure from hell

This was purchased "hoping" that it would meet my expectations once I received it. When I did get the treasure chest, it was ABOVE AND BEYOND what I expected!!!! It was a huge hit for my pirate attire. Would recommend this to anyone that wants a great accent to their party/golf tournament! Inflatable Pirate Treasure Chest Cooler.

I bought this to use as decoration for my son's pirate themed birthday party. I used it as a cooler with ice & drinks. I had tons of people ask me where I got it and say what a neat idea it was. It's pretty durable even though it's blow up, but I still tried to be careful with it. It held ice and drinks just as well as a standard cooler would. - Pirate Ship - Century Novelty - Favors - Treasure From Hell'

Memory Cards - class 10, 16gb sdhc

Regarding complaints about performance with HD camcorders:

SDHC cards are rated in MegaBytes per second (MB/sec). HD camcorders are rated in Megabits per second (Mb/sec). There are 8 bits per Byte.

Therefore, an HD camcorder with 24Mb/sec video capture requires (24Mb/sec) / (8Mb/MB) = 3MB/sec SDHC card. A Class 4 SDHC card with at least 4MB/sec data transfer is more than enough to capture full HD. Those camcorders are not designed to work with Class 6 and Class 10 cards.

Remember that Full HD, 1920 x 1080 pixels = 2,073,600 pixels, or 2 Megapixels. Digital SLRs shoot at 12 Megapixels with minimal lag time between shots requiring much higher data transfer rates than HD camcorders.

Consequently, people who use Extreme Class 10 SDHC cards with high speed digital SLRs seem happy, but people using them with HD camcorders are not. It can be confusing, but you must use the appropriate card for your application. Faster is not always better. SanDisk Extreme 30MB/s SDHC Flash Memory Card - 16 GB

I put this baby to the test on a Nikon D90 in burst mode. The amazing performance of this memory card allowed the camera to keep using its buffer taking pictures at 4 frames per second for a period of at least 30 seconds (excellent lighting conditions). Hear the machine gun in your ear as you take your pictures at a sports event or at SeaWorld while dolphins jump out of the water and get a shot worth being published on Sports Illustrated. Wow!

With its huge capacity, you will probably never need to carry another stick in your camera bag. I set the resolution at the highest level on the D90 and the indicator showed I could store 2,100 pictures in this memory card. Awesome!

Very good purchase, the price is high, true but the name says it all about its performance: "EXTREME".

A fast camera needs a fast memory chip.

Highly recommended for taking multiple shots. Pay attention to the memory class.

I use a Nikon D90 at my grandchildrens's soccer games. The camera is set to high repeat, so when the ball lands near my grandchild, I push and hold the shutter button for about ten shots. I usually get two shots that show the ball and my subject with nobody in front. The class 4 chip (class indicates speed) I was using would pause the shooting because the camera's temporary memory was full. With this class 10 memory chip, the shooting is uninterrupted. The memory seems to operate at camera speed.

I purchased this disk along with a Canon EOS Rebel T2i Canon EOS Rebel T2i 18 MP CMOS APS-C Digital SLR Camera with 3.0-Inch LCD (Body Only) about two weeks ago. I was very happy with the performance of the camera. I shot a swim meet and some other sports activities and got some great shots, especially on continuous burst. The next day I inadvertently left the Class 10 card at home, and had to substitute a Class 6 card.

The difference in the performance of the camera was remarkable. The camera took longer to start up, the speed of taking photos on continuous burst was much slower, and after about 10 frames the camera slowed to a crawl. As a result, I ordered another Sandisk Extreme Class 10 card as a backup.

Quick card. 1080 video shoots without interruption and 3 jpg/second (18 megapixel) continuous shooting (Canon Rebel T2i). Works as expected. Shooting 1080 video, sorta wished the card was higher capacity. 3 minutes fills a gig of space. So, (Canon Rebel T2i) about 4 12-minute clips.

With a Nikon D90 I took this card for a test drive. I normally shoot with RAW+JPEG (Fine) and with all that data, the performance of this card vs. a Class 6 is indistinguishable with the exception of the saving "tail" which is notably shorter. However, when I drop down to just RAW, I can get a lot more photos in before the buffer is too full vs. the Class 6.

The real fun is when you drop down to JPEG (Fine, Large) only. With that mode, and this card, I can shoot continuously at full speed, never buffering. And that is why you would buy this card. Going for that great action shot without worrying about your buffer blocking the best shot.

Definitely a good card.

I use this with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 in avchd lite SH at 17Mbps and it work's flawlessly, make sure you are not trying to play it back over usb, because usb can't keep up and you have the left side of the video washed out. As for the transfer from the camera to the computer, you might be better off popping it into a reader, but I have no problem transferring from the camera over usb.

I am a semi-professional photographer that recently purchased the Pentax K-7 as an upgrade to my other camera but primarily for a camera that could do HD video with an external microphone input. The first couple memory cards I purchased were Class 6.... which were supposed to be fast enough. Unfortunately they would only record HD video for 59secs!! I thought something was wrong with the camera but found an obscure speed test out there and geeky review by some dudes that determined that if you want the most out of the HD video on your DSLR camera.....get the CLASS 10! - Sdhc Card - Sandisk - Class 10 - 16gb Sdhc'

Ipod Accessories

While these JBUDS did not, in a side by side comparison, provide as much surrounding, warm sound as my Sennheiser 212 headphones, they provided excellent clarity, especially on KJAZZ radio. Talk formats are also excellent. The comfort is surprisingly good for an in-ear bud. For 20 dollars, this is a great substitute for the cheaper buds that come with most MP3 players.

Update on 12-21-06: I've come to be more impressed with my JBuds over the last two weeks, marvelling at the bright, crisp, and yes, warm sound that comes out of these inexpensive buds. Perhaps, as I've read in some of the headphone information that is out there, that there is a "breaking in" period, which has something to do with loosening the tranducer. In any event, I'd have to give these JBuds another star.

Second Update 10-8-07: My only complaint about the JBuds is that sleeping with them at night I will sometimes wake up and the bud will have fallen off. I can't secure the buds to my satisfaction; however, the JBuds are so comfortable I deal with this problem.

Third Update 1-7-08: The sound is not quite as good as the slightly more expensive V-Moda; however, the JBuds are easier on my ears for long-term (I sleep with them on) listening. Also the JBuds have a longer extension and don't pull out of the radio or iPod headphone jack as easily as the V-Modas, so again on balance the JBuds are better. JBuds Hi-Fi Noise-Reducing Ear Buds (Black)

Awesome headphones. I love these guys and have been using them for about 6 months now. Their sound is impeccable, and are extremely comfortable, I wear them while studying I mean like 8-10 hours a day, and never really notice them. I wouldn't say that these are actually noise cancelling via electrical interference, its more via sound muffling than anything, but don't misinterpret, with the sound at a medium volume you will kill all but the loudest ambient noise. I highly recommend these. Flat out the best $20 I have EVER spent.

I bought these headphones to replace my Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia Headphones. I like these better for one two reasons

1) completely superficial reason - it matches my black ipod

2) completely non superficial reason - it's better for my hearing

I typcially keep the sound on my ipod locked at 75% to minimize damage to my ears. With these JBuds I don't have to take that precaution, because I never have to raise the volume up that high. And I listen to my ipod chiefly going back and forth on the subway in D.C., where it can be pretty difficult to block out the sound of the train. I'm really glad I bought them.

Two words of caution, however. First, I don't think the sound is as good as it was with the Sony headphones. I listen mostly to podcasts and audiobooks, though, so it doesn't affect me much. Also, I'm not an audiophile so my standards aren't that high. Secondly, I've gone through 3 pairs of these types of headphones due to the rubber tips falling off. While I prefer these type of headphones to other in-ear phones (I've got small ears, and other types hurt), this is getting pretty aggravating. So electronic companies? Work on that.

I played the numbers game when deciding on a pair of earbuds for listening to voice podcasts on my daily 20 minute train commute. Figured that with a 4-out-of-5-star average on 870 reviews my chances were pretty good that I'd get a great product.

Well, I've read the 1-star reviews and not all of them are by people who are sound-afficionados concerned with clarity, bass, etc. No, the majority of 1-star ratings concern a crackling and then total failure of one of the earbuds. My 1-star review falls in that category.

I'd had these earbuds exactly 3 months when the right-side earbud started to die. At first, if I wiggled the jack or held the wire a certain way, and remained perfectly still, it'd come back but only go out again. I became so focused on holding/wiggling the wire that there were times I forgot what I was trying to listen to on the podcasts.

Today was the last time I attempted the odd hold/wiggle/be still sychronization. Nothing worked. I think now it's gone for good and I'm down to one earbud, which is annoying and leaves me with mono-ear. Can't think of anything unusual I did. Just sat on the train and walked in the train station. Disappointing.

I see a lot of reviewers complaining that the buds are not "noise-cancelling", but you can't expect that from buds with no electronic noise-cancellation. I like to walk down a particularly noisy street to get to class, and the difference between these and the standard iPod buds is incredible. I can comfortably walk to classes with the volume anywhere between 1/4 and 1/2 of full strength (as opposed to around 3/4 with other buds) and still hear just fine, which is definitely better for my hearing. I still want to hear busses, horns, etc for safety, so this does exactly what I need - muffles/blocks conversations and the like while still allowing me to hear necessary things.

Also, the different size fittings are a great feature. It takes a bit of experimentation to find the right size and fit, but once you do, the outside noise suppression and the sound quality are undeniably impressive.

As for that sound quality... While I don't have much to which to compare these and I'm no "audiophile", I couldn't be happier with the money I spent. I listen to a very wide variety of music (acoustic singer-songwriters, rock, rap, country, etc) and the sound is great for all of them. Good, crisp bass response in the rap and in bass drums, both acoustic and electric guitars sound clean, drums are smooth, and I'm generally hearing parts of songs I have not previously heard (echoing, multiple guitars/pitches, etc).

Bottom line? These are great buds. While I'm guessing there are better-sounding ones out there, a college student on a budget like me or anyone not looking to spend big bucks but get highly impressive sound should give these a shot.'

Shoot Digital Cameras - digital camera, compact camera

In short, this is a great camera in a very small package that produces good results! I wanted a small portable camera with HD video capabilities that I could take with me when I did not want to lug around my DSLR (Canon 40D + lenses) and this little gem fits the bill perfectly.

This camera replaced a Canon PowerShot SD780IS (Black) that I returned due to constant audio noise (hum) while recording video. Rather than risk getting another defective SD780IS with the same issue (many seem to report hearing the noise/hum), I decided to upgrade to the latest Canon PowerShot SD1400IS (Black). I am happy to report that this camera has no such issue with audio when video is being recorded.

The picture quality of the SD780IS and SD1400IS is roughly the same and on par with what one should expect from such a small ultra-portable camera. Going from 12MP to 14MP is a wash as the sensor is the same size and results are very similar. I have posted several shots of flowers under the "customer images" section of the Canon PowerShot SD1400IS 14.1 MP (Black) and also uploaded several 100% crops of each image so pixel peepers can see the detail that this camera produces.

Let me be clear, anyone that thinks this camera is going to produce anything close to the quality of a DSLR is fooling himself or herself. There is no way that this small of a package (3.6 x 0.7 x 2.2 inches ; 4.6 ounces) can produce the same image quality as a DSLR. If image quality if paramount, one would be better off considering the Canon PowerShot S90 10MP Digital Camera, but you will lose the HD video capability, some portability and spend more money. When I want extreme quality, I simply take my Canon 40D + lenses with me and shoot in RAW.

The Auto mode is smart and I think there is more happening behind the scenes than one would expect. If one takes the same image (same ISO settings, lighting, shutter etc.) in Auto and then in Program mode, the results are similar, but I think the Auto mode wins nearly every time. I have no way to confirm this, but the Auto mode seems to have different compression algorithms depending on the subject and can produce a less noisy image at higher ISO than Program mode can. Inside shots are good but I wish I could set an ISO range to force the Auto mode not to exceed 400 ISO.

Tip: If you are getting blurry images, remember that the minimum focal length is much less 5cm when at 28mm and significantly more 50cm when zoomed in to 112mm. So, if you are trying to get the camera close to your subject, be sure to gauge your zoom/subject distances properly otherwise your subject will be out of focus. Perhaps this would have helped the 1 star reviewer.

Final items of note:

1. There is no viewfinder and quite honestly, the small viewfinder on the SD780IS was useless so I do not miss having one. The LCD is bright and works great even on bright days.

2. There is no optical zoom while recording video, only digital zoom, so one has to decide on a zoom length before starting to record. This is a non-issue for me as many people overuse zoom and usually would have been better off just recording a static shot rather than making me dizzy with shaky-cam + zooming at the same time.

Bottom line: This is a fantastic pocket camera capable of decent images with HD video recording as a bonus. It is small enough that it will get taken everywhere enabling capturing of all those special moments. I would highly recommend it to anyone, so long as they realize the limitations inherent to ultra compact cameras. I hope this is review is helpful.

Update: I forgot to mention that one should be sure to get no less than a "Class 4" SD card (Class 6 would be even better) to prevent any video recording issues (missed frames etc.)

Update 2: Still loving this camera after six weeks of use, I particularly like HD video capabilities and use it all the time. The .mov video files make for easy import into Apple iMovie for editing and produces great results. At a recent event, I was able to get some very nice pictures in low light without using a flash in AUTO mode. I was really surprised at the quality achieved in such hard shooting conditions. Best results are had by not zooming too much as there is less light available (f-stop changes when zoomed). If you are noticing blurry shots, try to zoom less and get closer to your subject.

Update 3: I just ran across the recent announcement of the Canon PowerShot SD4000IS (Black) 10MP, it was just released and the list price is currently more than the SD1400IS but the new 10MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor looks very promising for decreasing the noise that is common in sub-compact cameras. The SD4000IS also has HD video capabilities with the addition of stereo sound and can be zoomed while recording video along with a new "Super Slow Motion" video function and a faster f/2.0 lens. It will be interesting to see what users think of this new camera in the coming months. I hope this update is helpful. Pampers Swaddlers - pampers swaddlers, swaddlers

Pampers have been the only diaper that never leaked with our baby. However, I've been advised by our friends that Costco's Kirkland brand is equally superior, and MUCH cheaper, and have been using them for about one year now. I actually think that they are manufactured by the same company.

After our son was born the hospital used New Born Swaddlers on him and we loved them. They had a yellow stripe on the front that indicated when he had urinated which is sometimes hard to tell with new borns. But the Swaddlers we picked up in the store do not have this stripe, but the number on this site matches the number on the pampers bag the hospital ones came in.

The Dry Max diapers tend to leave the gel beads on my child's skin. I hate Dry Max diapers, so I scour the internet looking for Pampers Diapers without it. Thankfully I found this listing & was so happy with the purchase. The wetness indicator on the diaper helps immensely and they rarely leak.

We think these diapers are the best. Twin boys were just over 5 lbs at birth Huggies NB seemed to leak. We did not Dave any problems with Drymax, in fact, we thought it worked great to keep the boys dry. Many times the diapers were wet and soiled but their bottoms were pretty clean. The stool was trapped on the other side of the mesh.

I bought two boxes of 240 diapers because we were using 16 or more per day. We had a hard time finding enough in local stores. But the boys grew faster than anticipated and we had a few left when it was time for the next size.

Diapers are still not leak proof if the penis isn't tucked down, or if they have a very large bowel movement, but I think that is the case for any diaper

These were my favorite diapers when our son was born. He is four months old now and the swaddler line has been demoted from my first choice to second, behind the Cosco Kirkland brand diapers. The Kirkland brand is amazing and I would highly recommend looking into those if you have the opportunity. If you are looking for the Swaddlers diapers that have the yellow line, look for the boxes that say something about being hospital issue...we found some on Amazon, but it's impossible to find these in the brick and mortar stores...unless you buy Huggies.

I learned that different stores can carry different versions of the same product - if the walmart pampers swaddlers are a lot cheaper than target, for instance, it may be because pampers is making a "cheaper" version for sale at walmart.

These are the diapers used in the hospital when our son was born & actually have the "hospital product" logo on them. The price was definitely better than in a local store, & they arrived very quickly. Signing up for "amazon moms" gave us an additional discount as well. great buying experience - I will continue to buy diapers here.

This is a review comparing the newborn diapers I used for my twin girls. I used over 300 newborn size diapers in 3 weeks and here's what I think of each brand I used.

Pampers swaddlers sensitive: I used these first. I liked the nice green line in the center that tells you when the diaper is wet because for those first few days, baby pee is sometimes too small to see by looking into the diaper. I did find the cut to be a bit awkward for the babies fresh out of the hospital. I had to fold the top of it wouldn't cover their cord

Huggies Pure & Natural: I loved the cut of this. It's pricey but I think it was my favorite despite the fact that I couldn't find any color-change pee indicator so I had to change when it looked like we needed it

Pampers swaddlers: The softness of this was heavenly but I did have a blowout in this. The only blowout in 300

Huggies little snugglers: My least favorite. The color-change-for-pee line is not that sharp for me plus this is the diaper that makes me believe all environmentalists that diapers are full of chemicals. Occasionally I take off the diaper and I see some crystals on babies' tush. Definitely chemical-full and not my favorite.

We had been looking for the same type of diapers that the hospital was using when our baby was just born. We bought some pampers newborn swaddlers at Babies R Us, Target, Walmart, but none was like the one from the hospital until we found these. They delivered a bit late (a week after we ordered) but the product did come in as described on the description and we were happy.

Product is amazing. We used Huggies a couple of times, and our baby keeps leaking with huggies. Pampers managed to keep all dry all the time.

We used these diapers with our first baby after we were given some by the hospital. We were devastated when we couldn't find them for our second. All we could find were the ones with 'dry max'. When my husband found them on Amazon, I freaked out. I know, it's just diapers, but finding a quality diaper is a huge deal!! They are just as soft absorbent and leak free as they were with our first baby. I just L-O-V-E these!! - Pampers Swaddlers - Swaddlers - Pampers - Soft'

Art And Design - bargain, oil pastel

We were going to go on vacation a couple weekends back. This item caught my eye and I bought it for my little sister. She absolutely loves it and has made some spectacular pictures with it. For the price you can't complain if you know somebody that would appreciate these, or if you have the desire yourself. Pentel Arts Oil Pastels, 36 Color Set (PHN-36)

I love this set. I am new to using oil pastels, and I am delighted with the simplicity of this substance. It does get tricky when learning to blend colors or how to layer a little, but it wouldn't be fun or worth the paper it's on if its not a tiny bit challenging. This is a great beginners kit for learning to have fun creating art without all the discouraging complications or difficult challenges other mediums present. This is just one step up from sidewalk chalk to me. I would like even more colors. However, this has a wide range of variety and great quality for a bargain.

My daughter likes these but I gotta say I was slightly disappointed. They advertise blending smoothly into each other as the "rainbow picture" on the box , where the artist should be able to overlap the colors and make a new color. They just do not work in such a way. It is very hard to get a smooth design out of these, the art comes out streaky and smudgy. They do not blend at all. The box states "Pastels apply smoothly and blend easily for subtle shades, tints and color mixtures." -- There is nothing subtle about the way the picture looks after trying to blend with these pastels. In all honesty, they just feel like glorified crayons. - Bargain - Oil Pastel - Oil Paints - Art Supplies'

This is a very nice stereo. with all the features you could really want plus some new features out that I really love. the stereo tuner works great as does the cd player. i have not used the aux jack yet but i have used the usb port. which was the main selling point for me and it is so awesome and convient. it even displays all the information for each song file. you can skip ahead or back ten songs at a time. the remote control makes things easier when your driver just be sure to keep it someplace where it wont fall between the seats.

The only negative that I have experienced with this car stereo is when I put the usb drive in and remove it. for some reason it wipes out the tuner station presets i have programed in. other then that this is a solid stereo system. Naxa NCA-683 Fold Down Full Detachable PLL Electronic Tuning Stereo AM/FM.MPX Radio MP3/CD Player

Purchased this item cheap and that's exactly what I got. As stated in many naxa car stereo reviews it keeps resetting randomly the memory. The yellow cord is connected and confirmed 12v going through it. Do not buy this or any naxa car stereo products. - Sd Card'

Cordless Drills - cordless drills, makita drill

I had purchased the Mikita Impact Driver with the same batteries that this drill uses. The batteries last and charge quickly. Since I use these two tools around the house, having two batteries between the impact and the drill works out fine.

The one thing I have encountered (not sure it is severe enough to call it a complaint) is the grip on the chuck. The chuck is ribbed with small ridges. When tightening the chuck the drill is powerfull enough to spin the chuck in your hand and a couple times I have burned my hand from the friction.

Other than this very small "nit" the drill is great. Bare-Tool Makita BDF452Z 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2-Inch Driver/Drill (Tool Only, No Battery) - Makita Drill - Cordless Drills'

Digital Camera - canon, digital slr

I have had this bag now for over 9 months and can honestly say it has more then surpassed my expectations. It stores everything I need when out with family or friends to catch all the action in one convenient place.

In the center of the bag I have the following:

1. Rebel XT body

2. Canon 430EX Flash

3. 17mm-85mm Lens

4. 75mm-300mm Lens

5. Sony Handycam Video Recorder

6. Power plug for charging Video Recorder

On the sides I store the Battery Chargers and Batteries for Flash, Camera and Video Camera, plus Tapes for the Video Camera. The front holds all the manuals for everything and a few extra Memory Cards and lens covers. Even after this, there is still space in the bag for other things. The bag has held up very well and can see no signs of wear or tear after dragging this bag all over the place for the last 9 months. Canon 2400 SLR Gadget Bag for EOS SLR Cameras

I purchased this bag for my Canon digital rebel XT. It's durable and well built. Some what smaller than advertised but I'm sure it's ideal under most circumstances. Perfect if you have a camera body and single lens. However, I returned it in exchange for the Canon 200DG bag which is larger and could accommodate up to 3 lens, camera body and accessories easily. The 2400SLR bag has plastic latches, rings and zippers. The Canon 200DG has heavy metal latches and is constructed with thicker padding and heavy duty zipper and pouches. The price of the 2400SLR is very reasonable and a great value for the money. But, if you are planning to carry a camera body and 2 or more lens, I would not recommend this bag.

I am very pleased with this bag. It is a perfect fit for my Canon EOS 20D camera body and two lenses plus flash unit. Plus, there is room for another lens (a soon to be added zoom lens). Plenty of compartments and zippered pockets around the perimeter for carrying accessories. It even has a strap on the bottom for carrying a tripod. The bag is lightweight, water repellant, and has the interchangeable dividers so you can arrange the interior contents into any configuration you like. Well worth the price and works fine unless you plan on carrying more than 3 lenses.

If you're reading this review now, then you must be debating on whether to purchase this bag or not. My answer would be to buy it!! Initially I bought a samsonite bag, but I quickly out grew that one. This canon bag (after repositioning the velcro dividers) can fit all of the following:

1. rebel xt body w/ the kit lens attached

2. Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II

3. Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens

4. Canon 430EX Speedlite Flash

5. Duracell 15 min charger

6. misc (cards, cords, chargers)

*** and i still have room ***

You might be thinking that the bag is heavy, but it's not because everything is so easily distributed in the bag.

I already had an older camera bag and thought it was time for a new one to go with my new Rebel XT and lenses. I have a lot of smaller accessories that easily fit into any of the various pockets and have room for more. The only annoyance (minor) is that the strap connection to the bag is not the swivel type and I find myself having to re-twist the strap to the correct position before putting it over my shoulder.

This is a good looking convenient bag. Has lots of compartments and tons of stuff can fit in. In general works pretty well. Here are a few drawbacks:

1. The divider is set up in a way the body and lens need to be separated to be stored. I used to have a lens attached to the body all the time in my old Tamco bag and this is new to me.

2. My 70-200 F4/L is too long to be stored in there. Which is not a gignatic lens.

3. The partition desgin is not that flexible.

Then I have only had this for a week and not sure if i know all the tricks yet.

I got tired of carrying two separate bags for my Digital Rebel (with two lenses) and Sony D8 camcorder (larger than DV camcorder). I wanted a bag that's big enough to carry all my digital gears. After looking around at Wolf Camera and other retailers, I decided to give this bag a try. It turned out to be a GREAT decision! With re-arranging the dividers included, I was able to fit the above gears plus a couple of D8 tapes, SONY camcorder power cords, Canon battery charger, Canon user's manual, additional film memory into this medium show-box sized bag. It is the least expensive and great quality bag around. Highly recommended to anyone with similar needs.

When I was looking for a camera/gear bag, I first checked the usual suspects: Lowepro, Tamrac, etc. They had the product I was looking for; however, at a price that was out of my budget. I then decided to check our Canon's. To my surprise and delight they had exactly what I was looking for: something semi-hard, protective, weather-proof and within my tight budget. I ended up deciding for getting couple of these guys and am nothing but satisfied. This bag is spacious and exactly as advertised.

If has configurable inner dividers so you can customize how it fits your precious equipment. Very easy te get things in and out of, and it can pack a lot! I usually carry my camera with a 28-135 lens attached, two other lenses, batteries, a few filters, couple of lense's hoods and a few memory cards. It all fits and everyting stays in place. In short, a superb value. If you're looking for an inexpensive camera/gear bag, this is the one to get! - Photography - Digital Slr - Digital Rebel - Canon'

Memory Cards - micro sd, sandisk

I bought 8 units of those and although the product works perfectly, I have two concerns.

The first one is that the picture shows an 8GB CLASS 4 chip, while the product I received was a CLASS 2. The trick here is that the description text or the part number does not show that difference at all. Is that on purpose or just just a coincidence?

Second and not least important is that the shipping charges/policies needs to be reviewed. It is not right to charge about US$7 to ship one unit, while if you need 5 units you have to pay 35$ for shipping. SanDisk 8GB MicroSD Card ( SDSDQ 008G A11M)

Due to my satisfaction with the 4GB Micro SDHC from Sandisk, I decided to upgrade to an 8GB version. The 4GB I bought at my local BestBuy, but this time I wanted to save a few dollars, so I ordered from Amazon, in particular the seller "Digital Media Source."

Once I received the product, I noticed that it was in what is called "Bulk Packaging," (just the card inside a plastic case with no sealed manufacturer packaging)not RETAIL packaging as the item description suggested.

Either way, I figured I'd use it. I copied roughly 7GB's worth of music and video over to it. I then inserted the card into my HTC phone. After two days, the card was corrupted. Corrupted in the sense that I had to reformat it. The VERY NEXT day, the same thing happened! Two days after the second corruption, it happened again. I had not experienced this with my 4GB that I bought retail at BestBuy, EVER - It has not corrupted on me to this day.

So I decided to contact Sandisk for support, and they asked me to email them macro photo shots of the card, so I did. Two days later, I received an email from Sandisk support telling me that the card was in fact counterfeit. He stated that the simple fact that the card came in "Bulk packaging," is almost enough to tell whether it's counterfeit or not, but that what led him to his conclusion was the imprint of the Sandisk logo and the other text on it. He suggested I get my money back from Digital Media Source, here on Amazon, but I have not. I've decided to just copy my contents over to it whenever it corrupts as an 8GB Micro SDHC card costs much more at a retail store.

So my overall suggestion to you as a buyer, is that if you are looking for a legitimate card, to make sure that what you're receiving is in retail packaging. If you pay as little as I did, under 15 bucks, you might be getting a counterfeit card. You ultimately get what you pay for.

Have used this card in the Curve 8830 from Verizon, the Pearl 8130 from Verizon, and the Pearl 8100C from AT&T. The Verizon phones were running stock firmware version 4.3. The AT&T 8100C was upgraded to the new 4.5 release and I cannot confirm that 8GB would be supported in the older 4.2 release.

In all cases, it worked perfectly and is great to have so much storage available. Amazing how much prices have come down on these cards.

I just got my memory yesterday, installed it in my phone and it's great. This memory is even faster then my 2GB microSD memory, I guess this is a 4 HC card. :)

Highly recommended for mobile users seeking to get more memory.

I bought this for my Sansa Fuze. Works great and as another review says it does come with an adapter for use in normal SD card slots even though the description doesn't say anything about it. I ended up buying one in the same order because I didn't think it came with one :(

I have a Nokia 5310 which is supposed to support upto 4gb. However when I heard some rumors about it supporting 8gb microSDHC cards, I decided to try this sandisk card.

The PROs:

1. It works fine for music, the phone recognised 8gb, so I am happy.

The CONs:

1. It did not come along with a card reader as I read in an earlier review.

2. The picture shows it to be class 4, but the shipped card is class 2, so

I cant play videos from it which my phone supports. The phone could play

videos smoothly from the card that came in the phone package.

Overall I am satisfied with the card at this price though.

I purchased 2 of these for use with my and my wife's LG Dare cell phones. This product was easily recognized by the phones. The phone recognized 7.4 gb of space usable for storage on this card. The card is a class 2 card and came with an adaptor for use as a regular sized SD card. I had no problems with data transfer. In all, I gave this 5 stars for accuracy of description as well as the card functioning exactly as it should.

Their shipping charges are outrageous. They charged me $9.44 shipping for a *1 oz.* order that arrived in a padded mailer and cost $1.22 to ship via the US Postal Service (first class mail). $9.44 for one ounce!

DONT BUY from Digital Media Source!!!!

I specifically ordered the retail packaging..and it was sent in bulk.

Should have known this was a bad vendor, when they charge $4.95 S&H..and it cost 64 cents to ship.

This is where they make their money..as you can never get that back..nice gig for them.

The white text on the card is poorly done and doesnt match the standard image.

Reported to seller and awaiting feedback. - Sandisk - Micro Sdhc - Micro Sd - Memory Card'
