outdoor fireplace - outdoor fireplace

Its an nice enough cover. Has soft underside. Cover doesn't keep water out! That's why I bought it. Now the inside of my fir pit is rusting. If you want something to look good and doesn't keep water out buy this cover. Square Fire Pit Cover

The cover fits extremely tight, even though my square firepit is within the dimensions it's designed for. My square table has a square pit. This is designed for a round pit with a very tall screen. First time I used it the pit filled with rain that leaked through the seams. After that I put a kids patio chair in the pit so the rain would run off away from the seams. That helps sometimes, but not always depending on the rain and wind force. I wish I'd tried making my own out of a table cover or oilcloth. At least it wouldn't leak like a sieve.

It has been tough to find large square covers in the local stores so I resorted to trusty Amazon. Found this one and

it fit like a glove and for a fair price. Many months of rainy weather and it still looks new.

This product was mispackaged. It arrived with multiple broken parts--all four of the large granite pieces and the fire grate to be exact. My wife claims the package wasn't handled well by the deliverer, but faulty packaging didn't help.

I'm extremely displeased with the trouble I've had in getting a refund or having a replacement sent. With a large, heavy item re-packaging is usually not an option if you've unpacked a good portion of the product before finding problems. The Amazon website was less than helpful. The representatives on the phone were less than helpful.

If the product is sold by Target, I should be able to take it to any Target store and work out a return there. Was that an option? No!

Based on my experience, I will only buy books from Amazon.com in the future. You've lost my business on any other kinds of items. - Outdoor Fireplace'

Messenger Bag

Made in Taiwan with heavy fabric, nylon buckles, much velcro and dubious attachment points, this bag and Maxpedition's other products promise military ruggedness with everyday practicality. The bag works well for day hikes with heavy camera and basic survival gear, if the bag's substantial weight is not an issue. Unfortunately, the bag is only as good as its weakest link and in this case the sewn-in buckles break with normal use. Because they are difficult to replace and not covered by warranty, the bag is basically a throwaway. Unless your objective is to carry a pistol, there are better designed and supported bags available. Note that this review was deleted from the manufacturer's site where they feature over 50 reviews that are, not surprisingly, all positive. Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack (Green/Khaki)

First, if you do any kind of hiking or trailing where you need hydration, this is the pack you want. I can fit a 32 oz bottle easily into the pack, as well a fill it with a ton of things. In fact, you can get it so full that it is noticeable on your shoulder. What to do? Unsnap the Velcro shoulder pad and move it forward to rest on your shoulder better. Also, there is a buckle placed such that the Velcro straps can go on each side of it so that it stays in place. I was a little concerned when I first put it on because it didn't hit my shoulder at all. When I realized I could unzip the Velcro and move the placement of the pad - presto! Instant joy.

I am currently carrying this full, as well as a backpack with approximately 12 to 15 lbs of weight to do training for a thru-hike on the Appalachian Trail next year. This pack sits low on my side and back and doesn't interfer with my backpack. I really want to take it out on the trail with me so when I purchase my thru-hike bag I will take this with me to see how all fits together and shoot for what works best.

Regarding color - I am very glad I didn't get the flashy colored packs - though they are very nice. I opted for the green/khaki. It is perfect for outdoors - blends in very well with all the green and dirt around and doesn't stand out as something out of a women's department. It looks perfect on my side with my hiking poles and backpack. I ordered the American Khaki flag to stick on the front - just peel the Velcro off and stick it right to the front of the bag, because I wear a schmag (scarf issued to Special forces) ordering a Desert colored one via Amazon. In fact, I ordered several to match this pack and I would never go hiking or backpacking again without one. I can't tell you how many uses it comes in handy for, but if you do decide to get one - take into consideration the color of your pack.

One last thing - there is a lot of places to stick things in this pack - including a conceal carry weapon for those who have a permit or it is state accepted. This pack would be the smallest I would use for that. However, for electronic digital equipment, headphones, MP3, Android, keys, wallet, water, peanut-butter and jelly sandwich - this is absolutely the bag you want. After wearing it one week you will wonder how you ever did without it, and it is outstandingly made with quality materials that will only get softer the more you use it. I don't think I will ever have to replace this pack - but I will have to get one for my spouse! #:D

Update: The more I use this pack the more I love it. One interesting fact. When I first received it I thought the shoulder padding was not in the right place because I was trying to wear the back on my side. I was wrong. After wearing it I realized that the back slips around behind my back and rides against my upper hips. I felt a little sheepish, but did want to share. It is easy to pull around to your side when you need to get to things in it.

This is a much better pack than the smaller one that does not have a place to carry a water bottle, for me anyway, because I do a lot of hiking on Mt. San Jacinto (over 10,000 feet high) and the water bottle carrier is a godsend. Also, I now like to take my pack most places with me, even Starbucks to get coffee, because I carry two digital cameras and a digital recorder, not counting power bars, knives, and on and on.... Living in California I have come to the conclusion that if their is an earthquake that might bring down the freeway overpass I want my back in the back of the car to 1. provide power bars and water, and charged digital cameras to record everything I experience. Also a few extra charged batteries for your smart phone are a good idea, as well. The smaller pack without the water holder would have not worked near as well. Also, if you don't think you need the water for just going out, you can put other things in it.

Lastly, I carry a small pair of high quality binoculars. There are so many things in this world to see, especially in nature, that we just pass by. It helps to have a small digital Sony recorder to go along with recording, then taking photos to share with others with sound once you have enjoyed the view.

Good luck and you can't go wrong with this pack for day hikes and everyday going out. The more I use mine the more I like it. I have the yellow tactical - it goes great in the desert. Also get a Shemagh of the same color to cover your head, keep dust out, be a sun block, throw rocks with - you get the picture. Here is a link to those on Amazon:

[...]

This was my first Maxpedition purchase. I have since purchased three other bags for different uses. This one is still my favorite of the bunch, it's just an awesome all purpose bag. I keep it in my car filled with various every day carry items, and use it frequently for day hikes. It's just the right size for EDC, quick to access while on the move. The bottle holder can hold a 40oz Klean Kanteen or a 32oz Nalgeen bottle. The main compartment includes a compression system that can be folded out of the way. And the main clip lets you cinch everything down tight and compact.

I have seen some reviewers complain about Maxpedition bags being too 'stiff'. My response - you must not be using it very much. These bags are made from high quality nylon. They are just about indestructible, and yes, they are going to need some breaking in. None of my bags suffer from this problem, least of all this one, which I have had for over a year. And not a single loose seam or even a pulled thread.

If you want a versatile, tough bag that will withstand a lifetime of abuse, you can't go wrong with Maxpedition. If you want something lighter and softer, go with any of the various cheap bags you will find on Amazon. You get what you pay for.'

Personal Protection - safety, self defense

This book covered alot of information in great detail. The information on the legal ramifications was very good. The advise on contacting an attorney before talking with the police or allowing them to search your car or home was very important. In fact, there was a tremendous amount of information contained in the book that was excellent and covered many aspects related to concealed carry in an easily understood style. Concealed Carry Fundamentals

This is a must have book for gun owners who chose to carry or use firearms for home defense. As all responsible gun owners know, the best way to survive a critical life or death situation is to not get yourself in that situation. Michael Martin has raised the bar with this holistic user friendly guide on what you need to know about personal defense. The great illustrations, world class photography and smooth layout of the book make it hard to put down. You will want to keep it handy for all the great references found on each page. Being an NRA Certified, Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home, Home Firearms Safety Instructor and Range Safety Officer, I would feel almost negligent if I did not offer this book to students. No matter where in the United States you choose to exercise your second amendment rights, this book is for you and will apply to you! Get it today.

Anyone who carries a concealed handgun for personal protection should read this book. It covers the fundamentals of concealed carry practice, but goes much further than most resources individually. To get all of this infomration in one place, in an easily understandable and well-organized manner would require multiple reference resources (if it could even be done). Mr. Martin runs the carry gamut from why to carry all the way to very effective training exercises to build the skills necessary to do so, safely and with confidence. This is an absolutely invaluable tool.

Have you ever encountered something that screams to be shared with others? In my case this book is one of those times. As an instructor of a musical instrument,I am familiar with all kinds of teaching materials. The interesting thing to me about this book is that while it is an introductory guide to concealed carry,it has something in it for any skill level. If you are interested in learning something new or sharing handgun fundamentals with another person, this is a very good choice for an instructional text. The other reviews are exactly right in their descriptions of the book. However they leave out one important thought. If one could give a book to every person as required reading about handguns this book would be the one.For those who are wondering,I am not related to the author but would be proud to be if it were the case.

"Concealed Carry" covers every aspect of what a person needs to know if he or she has a concealed carry permit. Once you read the legal section you will never want to use your weapon until you think you are about to die. Shooting fundamentals are an added bonus. The presentation and color photos add to the reading and learning experience.

Author Michael Martin did a great job writing this book. The photos and illustrations are informative and easy to understand. I am not new to handguns or concealed carry but still got alot out of this book. This book is for the beginner or the experienced handgunner. This is one of the first concealed carry books I have read cover to cover and went back and reviewed chapters. Put this book on your list to read. FIVE STARS

This book is probably the single best gun book I've seen yet. It covers all critical concealed carry issues, from legal to physiological and mental; covers firearm fundamentals (e.g. safety procedures, different types of guns, gun operation and much more), and does it all with the very highest level of writing and illustration. Frankly, I think this book could be priced higher, given its quality from content to printing, but I'm glad it's reasonably-priced. (It would be nice if Amazon sold it directly.) Five stars, top recommendation. Get it if you're even thinking of carrying, but get it also for a reference of critical gun essentials and safety that you can use to teach other people, while brushing up on your own knowledge.

I am new to the ccw world and I wanted a book that told me about it. I truly enjoyed reading the book. I am looking forward to trying some of the drills in the back of the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in joining the ccw world we live in today. - Self-defense - Self Defense - Personal Protection - Safety'

Cordless Telephones - cordless phone, answering machine

Panasonic KX-TG6545B DECT 6.0 PLUS Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System with 5 Handsets

Just to qualify - I rely HEAVILY on my phones for constant daily use in work / business calls and I use the headset feature a lot as well as speakerphone. I've been using similar types of phones for about 5 years now and have owned Uniden TRU8885, Uniden TRU9485, Uniden DECT2085-3, and Panasonic KX-TG1033S.

I've been using this new set of Panasonic KX-TG6545B DECT 6.0 for about 32 days (as of the time of this review) and so far these are the best out of the bunch.

LIKES:

- Handsets are lightweight and comfortable

- VERY EASY TO SET UP AND GET RUNNING

- Sound is clear on handset AND HEADSET (optional separate purchase), the latter of which is really important to me

- Almost no crackling noise when I accidentally shift the headset connector around

- Talking Caller ID actually works! It's not perfect at pronouncing some words, but you definitely know who is calling without looking

- Very full array of features!

- Buttons are big enough for people like me with big hands, and the spacing between the buttons really helps avoid wrong presses

- Battery life is excellent AND they take standard NiMH AAA rechargeables, so NO MORE PROPRIETARY BATTERY REPLACEMENT HASSLES! BIG PLUS!

- Lots of redial and caller ID memory

- Phonebook groups for easy lookup and dial quickly

- AUTOMATICALLY copies your phonebooks to all handsets just by saving an entry on one handset

DISLIKES:

- The speaker phone on the handsets is a tiny bit too susceptible to background noise, but still acceptable

- Still, as with all others like these, on rare occasion the sound drops out or phone says no signal even 2-feet away from base. (HOWEVER, this problem occurs less than with any of the other 4 or 5 brands/models I've tried)

- There is some lag (delay) when answering a new call or flashing to another incoming call. Have to wait a couple seconds for the other party to hear you pick up.

OVERALL IMPRESSION:

I'm much more satisfied with this set than any of the others I've tried in this price-range. It's not perfect, but definitely 4-Star worthy and I would recommend trying this set if you need a multi-handest DECT 6 solution to cover the whole house.

UPDATE - MARCH 7, 2011

I've now been using this KX-TG6545B set daily for over 6 months, and I still love it. It is undoubtedly better (in my opinion) then all of the other sets I tried and listed in the beginning of my review. The headset jacks on the handsets still sound perfectly clean with no crackling (whereas almost all the other sets had headset jack noise issues) and the phones hold a charge for far longer than I expected. The features are fantastic and easy to customize. And even on 3 different floors of the house including the basement I can only recall losing signal / range twice since I wrote the original review. Best in class, in my opinion, and I would definitely recommend this set over any of the others I mentioned! If you depend on your phones daily for heavy use and important calls, but you don't have a thousand bucks to spend, this set is affordable, reliable, easy, and feature-rich. Panasonic KX-TG6545B DECT 6.0 PLUS Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with Answering System and 5 Handsets

When I need a cordless telephone, I only look at one brand: "Panasonic". I've tried many brands and was never completely satisfied like I am with a Panasonic. In fact I have returned every other brand of cordless phone that I have ever purchased. They're just not as good as Panasonic.

The sound quality is outstanding and the ease of use is unbelievable. The only thing that I am dissatisfied with in this newest handset design is that Panasonic changed the "message waiting indicator light" on the top of the handset. The light no longer wraps around to the front and back of the phone. It is now mounted flush on the top of the handset. If you are at eye level with the phone you cannot see that the message waiting light is flashing. A very poor design. The handset does however display that a voice message is waiting on the front LCD screen, but it does not attract your attention like a flashing light.

Speaking of the LCD screen, this has got to be the best LCD screen that I have ever seen in my entire life. The print is very large and super easy to read. The white back-lighting is phenomenal with a very high contrast. You will love it!

The illuminated keypad is one of the main reason I purchased this phone. I had an older Panasonic that still works like a champ, but I wanted the illuminated keypad feature which my old unit did not have.

Talking caller ID is another big selling point. It's so nice not to get up to read the information off of the screen when the phone rings. All of the handsets plus the base unit announce who is calling in a very clear and easy to hear and understand voice. Nice job Panasonic!

This phone was so easy to set up that I did not even open the instruction manual. Everything was intuitive.

Lastly, when you buy Panasonic, you know you are going to get a quality product. I own their Plasma TV's, Technics Turntables, Electric Razors just to name a few. All state of the art technology and quality!

The Panasonic KX-TG6545B set is our second such system. We've been wanting to replace our approximately 5 year old 5.8 GHz Motorola system due to extreme aggravation with that product's battery replacement costs after the first few years. It took me a long time to commit to a new phone system because of one feature that the old system had--the ability to select a custom ringtone for individual callers from one's phone book.

The Panasonic KX-TG6545B does not, alas, perfectly replicate that function of my Motorola units. It does, however, allow one to create up to 9 subsets called "Groups" within the system's phonebook, and each Group can be assigned a unique ringtone. This lets my young children continue to have the privilege of answering the telephone themselves, but only if they recognize the ringtone as the one I've assigned to family members. Some (my husband) would argue that the talking caller ID replaces this functionality, but I still prefer the unique ringtone concept. 1) The ringer sounds a few seconds before the caller ID starts talking. 2) Phonebook entries are written as first and last names, but the children would better recognize "grandma" over "Jane Doe cell." 3) The talking caller ID does mangle some otherwise well-known family friends' names, and I don't want to rely upon the kids' figuring out what the digital voice is saying. I was prepared for this negative as I've been researching a new phone system for well over a year, but I mention it because it is a minor bummer every single day.

The only other missing feature my old system had was a baby monitor option, which this Panasonic set does not have. I used it occasionally, but don't really miss it.

The only other significant drawback I've found over my old set was the ability to customize for each handset what action to take when using the system's intercom. On my Motorolas, I could set the Kitchen and Dining Room handsets to auto-answer an incoming intercom call, thus letting me answer hands-free. I always made the Bedroom set require physically pushing a button before the handset would pick up, for privacy. The Panasonic KX-TG6545B system treats the intercom function just as an incoming phone call--you have to "answer" an intercom page. With no settings to change, this is the obvious default choice, but it was fantastic to have the option to make some "public" rooms capable of auto-answering a page.

Features the Panasonic KX-TG6545B includes that are important to me are:

* Ability to assign a name to each handset instead of just sequential numbers. (Yes, sometimes the handsets move around, but eventually they go back where they belong, and the intercom is useless without this feature.)

* Shared phonebook between all sets. (This is much easier than our old system where I had to program each handset, though a family with older kids or teens might enjoy each having their own 50 phonebook slots to populate individually.)

* Handset design. (These are much lighter and the bases are smaller, too.)

* Batteries are rechargeable AAA, easily replaceable. (Opinions seem to differ on this, but our old set used proprietary batteries that cost $16 each at our local big-chain electronics store. I never successfully ordered the correct replacement battery online, either. The original batteries lasted a few years, but replacement batteries seemed to die within a few months.)

* Speakerphone and dial pad in the base unit. (I didn't have this before, and can live without it, but my husband leaves the handsets all over the house, so this is one location I can run to and know for a fact I can answer the phone. Effectively, it is like getting seven phones instead of just six.)

* Expandability to 6 (six) handsets. (I ordered one extra handset at the same time I got this set because I always meant to do so with my last set and didn't get around to it until that model became hard to find. Since you only need an electrical socket, it is really easy to find one more place to put a handset, especially nice since it adds an "intercom" to inconvenient spots like the attic or basement, even if just in my pocket while working up/down there.)

* Easy to set up additional handset. (My extra--purchased separately that same day on Amazon--handset arrived here a day before the set. I plugged it in and charged it overnight, as instructed, before the other parts arrived. Next day, after unpacking and plugging in all the parts of the Panasonic KX-TG6545B set, I followed the trivially easy instructions and paired the 6th handset to the base unit. I am technically adept, but no skills were needed for this process beyond reading a sentence on the instruction card and following the simple instructions.)

* Base unit is wall-mountable with no extra parts to buy. (I find the wall mount a little loose, but it is in a protected location above a counter in the kitchen, and I am happy to have those square inches of kitchen counter space back.)

* Screen readability is just okay. (My Motorola had a brighter display, and I could hit a button while the phone was on its charger and it would light up so I could read the time. The Panasonic handsets display "Please lift up and try again" for several seconds if I push a button to illuminate the screen, though after that long-feeling pause I can see the time before it goes dark again.)

* Silent Mode is handy. (The Panasonic system allows you to set specific hours during which a given handset will be in Silent Mode. That handset won't ring and the keys don't beep either. This is nice for a handset near the kids' sleep area.)

I have never had a call reception or home Wifi interference problem with these phones, but neither did the 5.8 GHz Motorola set or the several individual old cordless phones before that. Making phone calls and receiving them worked just fine in all cases. As long as I keep a landline phone, I will continue to use an expandable-from-one-base system in our old house with minimal phone jacks, but I encourage new buyers to really research the calling and phonebook features on these phone sets because that is where the differences really are. My mother's highest priority was a set that would play Christmas carols for a ringtone. My in-laws needed to research which set had a screen light/bright enough for them to read. For me, incoming call ringtones and naming the handsets are top priorities. What matters most to you? - Cordless Phone - Answering Machine - Cordless Phones - Dect Phone'

Double Pleat - flat front, d3

My husband is tall and has a really hard time finding tall pants, these were an awesome deal and had free shipping. They fit well, a little relaxed in the legs, but wash nicely without fading. They don't seem to require ironing either (take out of dryer promptly and hang) which makes them fantastic for business trips for him too. I'll definitely be waiting for these to come in other colors because they really are 36 inseam. Dockers Men's True Chino D4 Relaxed Fit Flat Front Pant, Khaki, 34x32

Very comfortable, love the look and feel of these flat front true chinos. Yes they are "relaxed fit" which I like. Conversely, the flat front Harrison chinos which I also tried were too tight and reminded me of 80's pants.

I ordered this pant in Deep Sea as well as in black. The black pant is comfy and made well. The Deep Sea fit was off by an inch in the waist and an inch in the inseam. The black was a true fit. The size on the tag was the same for both. The I returned the Deep sea for a refund since Amazon would not replace.

For some reason Levis/Dockers makes it as hard as possible to find their pants with a 36" inseam (not available in any retail store I've found + not even available on dockers.com). Fortunately Amazon stocks them + they're a great pant. Comfortable, soft brushed cotton + true to size and most importantly - true to length. Thicker and at the same time softer material than on the similar Signature Khaki D3 Classic Fit Flat Front Pant. Highly recommended.

I bought these for a friend of mine who had been hanging on to his old Dockers forever, the ear and tear was so that i just couldn't take it anymore! So i decided to get him these and they fit him great and look wonderful, and he feels as though nothing has changed! The shipping was fast as well and got here in time for his Birthday! Thanks again!

This is a great pair of pants!

It's a good blend of a semi-formal wear with a relaxed feeling. Unlike pants like jeans, it's very smooth to move around in one of them which would make it great for some types of activities (ex/ golf). At the same time, it looks nice and more professional than jeans or other kinds of casual pant wear.

Sizing is great and accurate too. I used the same dimensions as my Levi's jeans and it was a perfect fit.

I wouldn't wear this pant for formal events, but for semi-formal wear, it's perfect! - Khakis - Flat Front - Dockers - D3'

Usb Cable - usb, belkin

Have you gone to the store and priced a 6ft cable? This cable is the best deal I've seen in USB cables. I use one of these to connect a computer to a wireless network adapter. The length of the cable allows me to place the adapter where it gets good reception. I haven't had any trouble with this cable (or network connectivity) in the months since I bought it. In fact, I'm on this page buying another one for a printer. A repeat customer - what better recommendation is there? Belkin F3U133-16 USB 2.0 A/B Cable (16 Feet)

This 16 feet (4.88 meter) long USB A to USB B cable = ASIN B00004Z5PY = was just right to extend my WebCam 15 feet (4.75 meter) cable (for 3Com 00371800 HomeConnect PC Digital Camera = ASIN B00000JDHV =) to 31 feet (9.45 meter). To "connect" the two cable bought the Linksys USB 4 Port Hub Universal Serial Bus = B00004Z6PI which has an external power supply, making sure that the 31 feet length cable (not recommended for WebCam) is working fine. The only thing I have to complain about is the small package of the 16 feet cable which squeezes the volume of the whole length to a fist size. So you will get a zigzag-worm instead a straight point-to-point connection. However, the cable works fine. I straighten it carefully with a soft towel after I had it on the sun to warm it up.

I puchased this cable for use with a USB photo printer. I wanted top quality and felt Belkin was the name that meant quality. I was not let down... the cable is of great construction and works great too.

Does what it should; well-constructed. Would recommend for anyone who needs extra length and prefers not to daisychain a bunch of shorter cables. Should get better performance with this one as it's a single length cable.

For a long and dirt cheap cable this is an excellent deal. I use my Mac mini as a print server for my Brother MFC-8220. This cable has been working fine for the last 3 months. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to anyone who needs a long USB cable.

My big thing is all about price cause there isnt much noticable difference cable brand to cable brand for the average user. This same EXACT Belkin one was almost triple the price locally. Works fine great value . Woo Hoo !

This thing sells for over [dollar amount]at a retail store. As of this writing, I bought it for[much less]. Belkin's cables are pretty good and I haven't had problems. They also offer lifetime warranty so you can't beat that either. It worked on my USB 2.0 video capture even though the vendor didn't suggest I go over 6' but according to USB specifications, it still works fine. This length is the max I believe without any additional hubs... - Cables - Usb - Belkin - Printer Cable'

Construction - nails, finish nails

Well there's not much to say, except that they're nails and they work accordingly with my DeWalt finish nailer. Unfortunately though, I bought 'em because they were described by Amazon as being galvanized in a "hot dip" process in which case they should work in ACQ lumber that I'm building a fence out of. However, I wasn't so sure so I called DeWalt and found out that they are electro-galvanized, meaning NOT suitable for ACQ. So other than the good value, which is why I am keeping 'em, I guess don't buy 'em for outdoor use and don't believe the Amazon description. DEWALT DCS16150 1-1/2-Inch by 16 Gauge Finish Nail (2,500 per Box)

Bought these nails for my Porter Cable 16ga nailer. They were about 25% (with free shipping) less than what the Home Improvement stores sell 2,000pc packages. Other than that I don't see much difference over other manufacturers nails. I have only been doing work with pine trim so they drive very well.

I have been finishing the interior walls and ceilings of a house with 3/8 resawn paneling (in place of drywall). I am using these brads, with a Dewalt 18V brand nailer, to nail off the panels. The brads hold the panels well and they are not so long that they hit wires in the studs. As expected they do sometime mess up the panel face if you hit a nail plate with them. It is best not to pop any of these brads into the panel until your sure the panel is in the right spot. When hanging panels I have been holding the panel where I think it goes, then driving 3 brads into it with a hammer, not setting them all the way so that they can be pull out if needed. This holds the panel in place so I can check the gaps to make sure they are 1/16" or less before nailing it off the nailer.

I have a Hitachi NT65M2 16 GA nailer, which is a great tool, but doesn't like certain brands of nails. I have been using the Hitachi nails since I got the gun, but couldn't find them in 2 1/2" 16 GA. The Bostich nails jam my gun on every other nail, so I gave the DeWalts a try. They work as well as the Hitachi nails, and cost less. Recommended. - Finish Nails - Nails - 12 Inch - 16 Guage'

Speed Rope - speed rope, fitness

This is the best jump rope I've ever used! The rope is light enough, yet dense enough for me to perform extremely high speed swings. (Yes, it also hurts a lot when I miss a jump and whip myself haha.) If you're looking to do more than just light cardio, then look no more. This rope is fast enough for you to continuously perform double unders; and if you can challenge yourself to a TRIPLE UNDER, this rope will make it possible.

I figured I'd go for a bargain with the Valeo Deluxe Speed Rope, but I'm a little disappointed with it because I really did get what I paid for. Its rubber is less dense and I have to exert a lot more force from my arms to perform the double unders and the triple under is just impossible. Unfortunately, this 9-ft rope will only fit certain sized frames--about 5'll" to 6'5". Or you'll have to tie a knot(s) down each side to have it fit you if you're shorter. Everlast Deluxe Speed Rope

I've been using this jump rope for a couple weeks now, and I'm pretty satisfied thus far. It's plenty long enough for my 6'3 frame, and spins as fast as I need it to. The bearings make it feel a little different than a rope without them, but I got used to this after one or two trips to the gym. Overall, a great rope for the price.

I have been using this jump rope now for quite a few months and for many intense cardio workouts. It is very durable and fast and the grip is very comfortable. I cannot think of one negative about it. I highly recommend it!

I only rate this 1 star for me personally. I'm sure if you are looking for a rope and you're of a normal stature you will most likely agree with the other reviews provided. I am 5'3" and need this shortened. I just wanted make it known that this rope is not adjustable.

I do understand there is no statement saying it is but I didn't figure that the rope's design would hinder you from doing so. I popped the handle end off, it will not lower down through the handle end for you to shorten the rope. This is because there is a metal piece crimped on the end of the rope in the handle and cannot be pushed past a narrowing point. You could tie knots before the rubber rope enters the ball bearing end of the handle but that is pretty ghetto and seems to me to throw off the rope a bit. I thought about cutting the rubber rope before it entered the handle then putting it back in but the metal piece would still be loose.

There are many ropes to choose from on Amazon. If you need to adjust your rope then this is not the one for you.

It's been a while since my rope jumping days, so I read the feedback on the item prior to buying to figure out if the length would be good for my height.

I'm 5'7" - I'd say it's a border line for using a 9ft rope. A person shorter than 5'6" would have to adjust the length.

I didn't have to make any adjustments, it's great for my height, love the fact that the rope is on a heavier side - doesn't require much of a wrist action (jumping is a challenge enough at this point).

Very pleased with the purchase.

One of the reviews states this is a 10ft rope in the title, which is why I bought it, being 6'4". I just received it and it says quite plainly on the back it's a 9ft rope. The product description doesn't specify, so I figured I'd leave another review to clarify (another review says it's 9ft but only in the review text, which I missed.)

I wish there were a way to not give it a star rating and just leave this as an informational posting, but I'll give it 5 stars so I don't tank the rating of what - handling it right now - appears to be quite a good 9ft jump rope.

At first, I was hesitant to purchase this rope because of it's length. I'm 5`6 and when I read the reviews, people over 6` was mainly purchasing it. But I gave it a try and it is actually alittle too long for people around my height. I had to tie a loop on one side to get it right for my height. the rope itself is excellent but I personally think it's too expensive for a rope... - Rope - Speed Rope - Fitness - Jump Rope'

Toshiba Laptop Battery

The battery on my laptop was giving me a whopping 10-12 minutes off electric. If you use a laptop you know how useful that is - not at all. I looked around at local stores and they wanted over $100 for new battery. Someone I know sent me a link to this battery on Amazon. It was a great buy!! I have been using it for a while now and I still get some 2 hours with it. NEW Replacement Lithium-ion Laptop Battery for Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS

I had a little trepidation when I bought it from Amazon, because it wasn't a Toshiba product. However, I'm very satisfied with the way its working. It's giving me over 2 hours of battery time on my laptop, and, is working as advertised.

I was a little skeptical with the price.

I bought two and both work better than the one that came with my computer

one last nearly 5 hours and the other over 3 hours. The original last 2 hours 45 minutes

Ok, At first this battery did not fit probably on my Toshiba A300 perfectly, it needed some power to insert it. I Charging for a long time it reached 96% and stopped !. When i disconnected my laptop from power supply the battery shows 1 minute remaining ? And yes it lasts for one to two minutes to shutdown my laptop.

I used a program "Battery Care" it showed the new battery one the first day has 53% wear level. I removed it several times no changes, but wait it is leaking some fluid.

A very bad quality product, unless it is an international order, It must be returned.

I will never buy cheap battery again

Having to use a power supply with my laptop kinda defeated the purposed. But buying a new battery locally was cost-prohibitive. Enter Amazon with a great price on the right batter and problem solved! Soooo glad I didn't make a trip to the store.

I would always recommend anybody to buy everything from Amazon. They have the best business, guaranteed qualities and best delivery options. This battery is not like the original one but it give you almost the same duty, it last up to 2 and half hours before you recharge it again.'

Dewalt Replacement Batteries - dewalt, rechargeable batteries

I own/run a low voltage company in St. Louis. We pre-wire houses for phone/TV/networking, install intercoms, security, and central vacuum systems, and home theatres as well. We currently have 20+ DeWalt 18volt cordless tools and at least that many batteries. We are constantly asked by carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and competitiors how the tools hold up.

We can drill 100+ 3/4 holes on one battery every day with no problem. We can drill 10+ 2 1/4" holes with a DeWalt self feed bit on one battery. The recip saw, the circular saw, the angle grinder, and the flashlights all work flawlessly. We even have the vacuums so we can clean up after ourselves.

Now the old batteries (all black) last about 1 year for regular use. We have a few new batteries (yellow top) that are a little over a year old that show no sign of slowing down.

We have found that when it is cold they do not last as long. Also the charge needs to be in a semi warm area (not in a garage). Also, the battery needs to be drained most of the way before charging. Repeated recharging of a half dead battery dramatically reduces the life. But any battery manufacturer will tell you that. DEWALT DC9096-2 18-Volt XRP 2.4 Amp Hour NiCad Pod-Style Battery, 2 Pack

I'm hearing a lot of complaints about the batteries. Face it, the batteries are based on NiCad technology. NiCad are not known for infinite shelf-life, has a memory, and absolutely hates to be placed on a charger for extended periods of time.

Now knowing all the good and bad things about NiCads, these batteries are absolutely no different than you will find in any other system using NiCads. If you don't understand the why your batteries are dying off so quickly, it most likely can be explained by researching the things to do and not do to NiCads.

I've beat the hell out of the tools and the batteries and still manage to get an excess of 2yrs of service out of these batteries. If you open one of these up, all you find is a series of sub-C NiCad batteries in them. Count them up and just go price sub-C NiCad batteries with the same Amp-Hr rating. You will soon fine that even if you tried to replace the batteries into the existing battery case, it is still cheaper and easier to buy replacements.

Rechargable batteries of any technology do NOT have infinite life. With absolutely following standard practice care of the battery type, you can extend this life to the theoritical max. That is hard to do on the job site when you need to get the job done quick. I use the 15min. charger, which is great but at a significant cost in service life of the batteries. You are never supposed to charge the batteries while they are hot. This means if you run it down at the job site, you shouldn't be placing them into a rapid charger. You should have enough spare batteries to get you busy while letting a natural battery rotation occur that insures they are cool when you charge. Slow charging extends the life of the batteries as well by getting internal temperatures lower. You should never leave a NiCad on a charger. You should run down the NiCad battery before charging to help avoid memory.

You can mention any battery technology and there are do's and don'ts. I've had Lithium Ion batteries in a cell phone last less than 1yr.

It all depends on your battery usage habits. Once you understand what you are supposed to do to extend the batteries life, you can usually figure out pretty quickly why you are not getting the life you expected.

Good solid product. I'd buy them again without hesitation. And I have yet to see any group of cordless tool manufacture's use a standard battery interface so that you can use the same battery in different brands of cordless tools. So being locked-in to a particular cordless tool manufacturer is a given.

This is all the price you pay for being cordless. The only way around all this is to pull out the ole 50' extension cord.

IMHO

If you expect to buy these new in the package, you will be disappointed. ToolKing offers cheap prices by reselling you returned merchandise (I suspect)from their retail stores. I received my batteries used, you can tell by the brass connection points being ruffed up, and not in their original packages. One of the batteries takes forever to charge and this may be why it was returned. I also ordered a charger (not in the orig Package) where they were nice enough to place a crappy ToolKing inventory sticker over the vent holes. You know, the kind that peels off flake by flake. They dont return emails or phone calls. I was ripped off, so beware!

I wasn't going to bother to write a review for a couple of replacement power cells, until I saw some of the other opinions, here. I am very pleased with all the DeWalt equipment I use. The batteries do a fine job of powering everything except the circular saw - that one lacks guts.

I used my original power cells for a couple of years before they died of old-age and recharging. I am confident that they lasted for the number of rechargings that DeWalt promises. I followed the guidelines, and only occasionally hit the reconditioner button on the charging cycle. The people who get such short lives out of these power cells may not be bothering to use that feature of their DeWalt charger.

Yes, I am pleased with these replacements. They work well, and are the genuine DeWalt parts. Yes, I've had a really good experience with these power cells. Yes, I'd recommend them.

I have used Dewalt 18 volt tools for several years and a 24 volt saw for the last 3 years. Out of 5 18 volt batteries only one died after 2 years of use and it was used when I got it. The 24 volt saw has only one battery and it works as good as the day I bought it. These tools are used almost daily and I dont do a good job of taking care of them. - Rechargeable Batteries - Dewalt - Dewalt Replacement Batteries - Battery'

Firefighters - firefighters, pretend play

YOU CAN'T BE A FIREMAN IF YOUR HAT WON'T STAY ON YOUR HEAD!

This set is cute and many of the pieces well-made, but the hat is terrible. Our grandson loves the hat, but it won't stay on a his head and it frustrates him. There is nothing inside to adjust the hat for size! We've tried putting it over another hat, but it can't be fixed, so I will order a hat that will work. I don't recommend buying this set-the hat is too big for MY head. Thoughtless design-hat for children that won't stay on a child's head-order something else! Tek Nek Fire Fighter Role Play Set

I purchased this kit for my son who is going to be a fireman for halloween. The costume didn't have anything with it so I got this to add a little something to it. When I got it I though it was so cute. The belt actually talks and it holds all the accessories that it comes with. Great product. I can't wai to see him with everything one.

Cool selection of items. But helmet is way to big with no option to adjust size. Flash light makes helmet heavy on one side so it plops right over. I plan to install some foam weather striping to hopefully help out with this. Google strap broke first 5 min of play. Every thing else is ok. My son did have a blast chopping down the bathroom door to save his mom Christmas morning.

The helmet is a bit big for my son's head, and an adjustable strap would have been nice. That aside, it is great. The axe and extinguisher are his favorites.

It is all cheap plastic, so not sure about how it will hold up but what does anymore?

Got this for my son's 5th birthday and he loved it. Lots of neat gear made him feel like a real fireman and provides a lot of pretending fun. The only thing is a small child couldn't put the belt on without help (especially if it's loaded up) and the pouch for the binoculars is so snug it's hard even for me to get them in it. But overall this is a nice value and good for a lot of play time. - Pretend Play - Kids - Firefighters'
