Ipad 2 Accessories - ipad 2, ipad2 case

Beautifully crafted top quality leather case which fits the functionality of the iPad 2 perfectly. Everything is fully accessible and the iPad is completely protected. This is the top-of-the-line iPad 2 case for business use or the busy student. The iPad 2 is fully functional in every case position and there are no problems with operation in any case position. To me, the Amazon product description is quite modest as this product has more going for it as it is designed perfectly, I'll just add that I was amazed and happy to see it is exactly what I wanted: An exceptionally crafted leather case for the iPad 2 that doesn't get in the way of the great iPad 2 features. I easily give full five stars to this excellent product. It also puts the Apple magnetic cover to shame. (PS: If your cover turns off the iPad as the video indicates, just go to settings and turn off the auto-on/off feature.) Snugg iPad 2 Leather Case Cover and Flip Stand for the Apple iPad 2 (Black)

I wanted a full body protection for my iPad2 & the magnetic cover that Apple came out with didn't look like it provided much protection. I had some reservations about ordering this cover but now I'm sure I made the right purchase. I've done some moderate research on all of the up & coming 3rd party covers for the iPad2 & this one seemed to provide the best protection as well as good form & function. The flap cover has magnets & it works as far as turning the iPad2 off & on. The leather is still a bit stiff (since it's new) so mine doesn't line up perfectly with the internal magnets in the iPad2. Sometimes I have to give it a small nudge so the magnets align so it will turn off. I didn't know that the cover had a magnets so this was an extra surprise. I'm not sure if this will loosen up eventually. One thing you should be aware of is that when you completely flip the cover all the way back so that the magnets are on the back side, it actually puts the iPad2 in sleep/off mode. I thought I had a faulty iPad because it turned off when I was reading or surfing the web but it was actually the magnets.

About the only nick pick I have is that the leather on the top part is not completely flat. When I turn on the camera for Photobooth or FaceTime part of the leather can be partially seen so I have to push it down to get it out of the way. Again, when the leather eventually softens up this may or may not be an issue. If I can add one thing it would be a stylus holder. I do some sketching and handwriting so it would be nice to have a small holder for that.

This is a very nice case for the iPad 2. It's not that easy to find good iPad 2 cases (although it is getting easier as more are coming out). I, too, researched a lot before I decided on this one. And the reviews on Amazon really helped me make up my mind, so I wanted to add my voice to the reviews to help others. To sum up what I will explain in more detail below, this case is nice looking, well made and versatile. It is a cover that you can use for business or pleasure and that can serve many different purposes. It fits the iPad 2 perfectly and provides needed protection for it. There are a few minor things I might change about it in a perfect world, but it is such a great value for all that it does, those are not worth removing a star from this five-star (in my opinion) product. I've seen my friends iPad cases (some of which are very pricey), and I think this is as nice as all of them and nicer than almost all of them.

They have obviously fixed the magnet issue (where your iPad is turned off when the cover is flipped to the back). It does not, however, now magnetically secure the case when it's flipped back now -- only when it is closed. I wish it did magnetically secure when the cover is flipped back, but they probably had to disable that feature to prevent it from placing the iPad 2 in sleep mode like earlier reviewers warned about. It definitely does not have that problem now, as I've opened it and put the cover back various ways, and it never went into sleep mode. It works like the iPad 2 cover when it is closed -- placing the device in sleep mode. I didn't want Apple's iPad 2 cover because it didn't seem that great to me as it only protected the front and didn't have a handle. It just seemed overpriced for what it did. I think the fact it put the iPad 2 in and out of sleep mode was appealing to a lot of people. But the Snugg does that, too, and it offers a LOT better protection and is a better value.

This also serves as a fabulous stand for when you want to watch Netflix or other show apps on it. At first I thought my cover had a crease in it, but then I realized that line was so it can bend (like a triangle) to serve as a flip stand. It has a little leather tab on the back cover, and the cover edge securely fits in the tab so it makes a very secure and good looking stand. Very nice. It also is nice to use to elevate your iPad 2 when you are typing on the screen. Instead of standing it on the narrow bottom so it is sitting up like TV, you place it so that the tab and back cover are on the bottom. That elevates the screen a little for typing. It would also serve as a great stand (sitting up tall or just elevated) if you use Apple's wireless keyboard. I got the Logitech keyboard for work use, so I don't normally use my Snugg at the office (as the Logitech and the Snugg don't work together). I tend to use this at home to protect my Snugg when I'm using it to read books or to surf the web. But I could use it at the office, too, as it is very professional looking.

It also has a handle on inside cover, so when you fold the cover back, you can place your hand through the elastic handle on the back to hold it securely. This is another nice feature not every cover has. It's a little awkward to hold because (1) it no longer has the magnetic back clasp to secure it tightly when it is open and (2) it can move a little when you are holding it because for it to fit like a book cover, it has a narrow binder that can move a little as you hold it. But it remains secure while you grasp it with the handle and a lot of cases don't have that handle, so I like that feature even though I am still figuring out which is the best way for me to hold it. The elastic band that another reviewer mentions another cover having would be a nice addition to this as it does shift when you are holding it with the handle. I think when they first made this, the fact the magnets worked both ways secured it. But since that no longer is the case since that was putting the device in sleep mode, an elastic band would be nice. It's hard for me to envision how they would do this and keep it as aesthetically pleasing as it is, however, so that is not a reason for me to remove a star.

This is a good looking case. I like that it is made of leather. It's black leather with white stitching and is professional looking (as noted above) and not flashy. I'm not a big fan of flashy. I love that it serves as a smart cover, as stated above, putting your iPad 2 in sleep mode and waking it up as you close and open it. I would prefer for the cover not to be embossed with the "Snugg" logo. It would be nicer without that in my opinion. For the price, this is a fabulous value and a nicely made case. I'm glad I got it, and I recommend it to others. - Ipad2 Case - Ipad 2 Accessories - Ipad 2 - Case'

Dual Layer - dual layer, memorex

For a long time, Memorex was the only Double Layer option for me because of price. I never really had a hard time with the 2X discs burning on the Pioneer burners (DVR-110D and 111D) in most Macs. The new 8X discs are a completely different story. I've lost at least half of the discs. I switched from DragonBurn to Toast8, with improved results for a few burns, but then more "sense errors" a quarter to halfway through the burn. The reality is Memorex DL media is not preferred media for the Pioneer drives. It was never a problem till this new 8X batch. Buy at your own risk! Memorex 8.5GB 8X Double Layer DVD+R (25pk Spindle)

I had bought a 15 pack spindle of these DVD DLs and it worked just fine, so I figured I'd go with the best deal since they are the best priced DVD DLs out there and I bought a 25 pack spindle. About 8 DVDs into it and not one worked. I burned SONY and HP DVDs just fine but this spindle of Memorex is a complete waste of money.

I've tried contacting Memorex via email to get my money back but so far they've just ignored me. I will no longer be purchasing Memorex, in the end you really save no money buying these discs since you throw so many of them out...

These discs are unreliable and not worth wasting time with. Burning with Nero 6.x on a Sony DVD burner on a Win2000Pro PC resulted in failure to verify the burn on the first sectors 100% of the tries. Burning on a new Plextor burner attached to a Macbook with Toast 7 results in failures during burn or verify about 40% of the time and discs that verify still won't play properly, with video pauses and skips.

I've used Memorex DVD-R and DVD+R DL discs exclusively. I've had no problems burning discs with my Toast 6 (and later Toast 8) software and a Pioneer dual layer drive until buying these 8x Memorex DVD+R DL discs. I'm getting a 50% failure rate during the transition to the second layer even when burning at only 2X. The failure is reported as "Media Sense Error." I strongly recommend against purchasing 8x DL discs from Memorex until they fix this defect.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!

Out of the 25 that came in the pack, the first nine failed to burn. NINE IN A ROW!

Needless to say I didn't wait around to see if the other 16 would suffer the same fate, I promptly returned these to the place of purchase.

Just to make sure that it wasn't the DVD burner on my 3 week old Apple MacBook that was the problem I borrowed a blank SONY DVD+R DL disk from a friend and tried burning the exact same files. Guess what...it worked perfectly. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for.

I will never buy another Memorex product again.

I have used Memorex DL 2.4x ever since they came out. NEVER had a problem with HUNDREDS of burns. Now the 2.4x are no longer available and I had to buy these 8x. Failed burns from the get-go.

Okay, update the burner's firmware, update Nero -- that MUST have been the problem. Oh no it wasn't: same results. If 1 out of 3 succeeded, I was surprised. No one on any forum has a valid theory for the failures. As other reviewers have stated, the failure always occurs shortly ater the second layer begins writing.

Stay WAY AWAY from these Memorex DL 8x until the manufacturer corrects the problem.

I bought these on another site and while I saw a few reviews saying they didn't work, I dismissed those reviews as being the standard people who don't know how to use the product or just like to complain. Well, I was wrong. These things are completely worthless. Like everyone else, I tried to burn half a dozen and everyone failed while starting the second layer.

Do not waste your money on these. Even if you have purchased these in the past and they worked, I'd stay away. According to some people on the other site, Memorex switched their DVD supplier last year from a high quality disc to this junk.

Stay away!

Worst disks I have ever bought. I had purchased some memorex dvd dl 2.4x discs in the past without any issues burning with my sony burner. The new discs I have not had one burn successfully.

Please note I burned a dvd dl disc with no issues 5 minutes prior to using these discs. - Memorex - Dual Layer Dvd - Dvd Dual Layer - Dual Layer'

Computer Speakers - pc speakers, desktop speakers

I recently got a inexpensive 19" HDTV which has decent enough video quality but it burdened with the WORST sound I've heard on a TV. Tinny sounding speakers with little volume. But there was a headphone jack on the TV. With headphones, the TV sounded excellent. My computer speakers were connected with a headphone jack... They worked just fine on the TV. I looked for powered 2.1 computer speaker systems on Amazon and was delighted to find many choices under $40. The best value for the money seemed to be this Logitech and the cheap TV now has excellent sound.

I give this a 5 star rating (instead of a 3 or a 4) because of the low price. There are better 2.1 systems but nowhere near this price. Logitech S220 2.1 Speaker System with Subwoofer

Great sound with a nice touch of base. All the quality in a small package. The speaker wires are really not long enough for distant placement of speakers the wire doesn't spread that far apart. The sub woofer does well it packs a punch when cranked up. The piano black color adds nice touch to the speakers and woofer which is kind of heavy but slim enough to fit just about anywhere. The volume control and mic/phone jack controls are easy to use and a big plus for me. Easy gliding volume control the whole system feels solid with no visible weaknesses. Over all a good speaker system for the money.

I am a recording engineer and i bought these speakers to use as reference monitors to compare my mixes on a pair of consumer speakers. They sound a whole lot better than i expected! At low volume levels, these speakers aren't far from my pair of $1000 professional studio monitors. They do lack a bit of mid to low-mid on the frequency spectrum, but that is expected with consumer speakers.

Like so many, I bought this system based on my own review of the technical specifications and the opinions/reviews of others. In a word, I think this system is outstanding.

However, I would like to address some of the objections of negative reviewers which I did not find manifest. It is, of course, possible that many of the negatives described could be attributable to a defective product.

Sound quality. First off, I experience no hum, buzzes, or noise of any kind; perhaps I fail to overdrive the system! Secondly, the negatives are contradictory, i.e., one's too much is another's not enough; some are tinny, some basses boom; many have no control over either; the separation between treble and bass is such that there is no midrange; and especially noteworthy is the post by he who noted that the system was not as good as the Bose he listens to all day at work! Really - what a surprise! I find the sound quality excellent, more so than I expected from an inexpensive system. Be it my home stereo system that cost several thousand dollars or the Logitech S220, one thing I do is to use a audio equalizer to adjust the quality of sound to suit the conditions of my room and ear. It is, I think, axiomatic that ALL stereo systems must be equilibrated which, among other things, will reduce a "whole in the middle" and seeming too abrupt shifts between frequency ranges. Finally, I suggest it is common sense that sound quality will be greatly influenced by the audio components of the system. In the end, the conjunction of subjective bias and objective reality will dictate one's assessment.

Defects: I find none; poor quality: I do not think so; remarks about being made in China: inappropriate and gratuitous; apparent expectations that Logitech (or anyone else) should manufacture a product that will never be defective or fail: arrogant and hypocritical; comparison to Bose: speaks for itself!

In my opinion this system provides excellent sound at a most reasonable price. Depending on one's demands, it may or may not benefit by the use of audio components that have an audio equalizer, not because of any inherent defect in the system, but rather to allow one to adjust the quality of the sound to suit his or her bias.

I whole heartedly recommend the Logitech S-220

These put out pretty good sound, but if they are turned up too loud, then they will distort and throw some static into the mix. Also, the bass adjustment is on the back of the subwoofer, that I keep on the floor a bit out of the way. The volume control is neat with the dial on top, but it is not as heavy as the wires connected to it, so the wires decide where the control will stay put if they are hanging off the back of the desk. I think I'm going to use these speakers on my auxiliary computer and go back to using my older, bigger ones on my new computer.

I looked at Logitech S220,LS21,Z4; Creative T3100;Altec Lansing FX4021. Finally decided on Logitech s220 and so far I am not disappointed.

I was on a limited budget for PC speakers, don't like my music and movies too loud, and I don't have very high audio quality needs.

S220 speakers have good sound quality, compact size, 3 years manufacturer warranty and are just $25.

The subwoofer seems well built for the price, it is slim and easy to hide under the desk. The bass control is on the back side, which is practical enough, considering once you set the bass to your taste, you rarely would adjust it. The AC power adapter is inside the subwoofer, which is nice. Bass is good, as long as you don't set your volume above 50%.

Satellites also look solid for their size and are attached to the subwoofer via standard 3.5mm stereo plug. They have very small footprint - good for those of us who don't have lots of free desk space. They sound OK, a little on the weak side. Middle tones are fine, treble - decent.

The only thing in the whole system that appears flimsy is the wired remote - it is very small and light and does not stay easy in the correct position. I hope it does not break.

Overall very good! - Desktop Speakers - Pc Speakers - Logitech - Speakers'

Hearing Impaired Tv Headphones - wireless headphones, sennheiser

Wow, I have been waiting literally years for a quality set of wireless headphones. I listened to many including the previous generation of Sennheiser's. All of them had some low level of hiss and less than audiophile sound quality. The wait is over. These cans utilize Kleer technology and an open design. I always preferred open headphones for the more natural bass response and to my 50 year old ears these sound great. The headphones are comfortable though I would like a bit more padding spanning the entire headband. The buttons on the headphones that control power, volume and balance (handy if you have asymmetrical hearing deficits) are too small and flat but I can now control the volume without removing the headphones. The range is listed as being up to 100 meters and practically speaking, as I can walk on either floor of my house and even outside in my yard without any noticeable effect. Every 30-40 minutes I may get a brief 1 second or so loss of sound but it is infrequent enough to not bother me. Expensive and surely not equivalent sound to an equally or more expensive pair of cans but they are very close in terms of sound and the wireless performance makes them the real deal, totally worth it. Sennheiser RS 180 Digital Wireless Headphone System with Automatic Level Control and Adustable Balance Control

I bought and returned two other pairs of wireless headphones in the sub-$200 price range before springing for these, and simply put they are worth the extra money. There's no interference, the sound quality is excellent throughout the range (bass, mids, highs) and the hiss that plagues most other wireless headphones doesn't exist. Range is also excellent. The only thing to note is that the base station does not have optical audio input, only a standard 1/8th jack.

I have used the Sennheiser RS-130 for the past 4 years, and the surround sound was incredible and delicious, but I was looking for an upgrade, the next generation from a high quality manufacturer. My main uses are for blu-ray movies and late night TV viewing as to not disturb any neighbors, plus it's an intimate experience without any street noise. When I decided on the RS-180 I bought it from J & R because their customer service is outstanding. The DVD product guide estimated an initial charge of up to 16 hours, but mine was ready for blastoff in about 7. I was immediately blown away, swept into a cinematic oasis, a sound panorama that disintegrated any assumptions about how a movie should leave a lasting impression! They are exceptionally comfortable and well worth the price, and you will not be disappointed!!! Without a sound system hooked up to my Samsung 1920 X 1080 HD-LCD TV, I realize now I haven't totally appreciated the blu-ray player and movies until this wireless headphone purchase. Thanks to Kleer's uncompressed audio transmission technology another journey began via listening to some of my favorite blu-rays like Oliver Stones "The Doors". WOW!!! The bass sounds are outstanding and precise. You will venture forth into a new world of audio pleasure. If the Sennheiser RS-180 was a painting it would be a masterpiece by Kandinsky or Dali; a sculpture, La Pieta via Michelangelo, a song, something by Lennon & McCartney. Remember this: escape is not a luxury, it is a necessity if you want to get an advanced degree in sound and mind travel. Now get out and buy these phones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In almost every respect, these Sennheiser RS 180 Digital Wireless Headphones are excellent:

- The good experience starts with the packaging. The main box, the two inner boxes and the inner plastic container are very well designed and built like tanks. They're also fairly easy to open (the fit of the plastic container containing the actual headphones and base was a bit snug, so there was a bit of tugging there).

- Setting the headphones up is very easy. It boils down to 1) connecting the audio cable to the source and to the headphone stand (I used the LR adapter and connected them to the back of my TiVo TCD658000 HD XL Digital Video Recorder), 2) picking the correct country-specific plug to snap onto the power connector and plugging the result into the wall and into the stand, 3) putting the two batteries into the headphones, and 4) listening to the results. In my case, I used my own already-charged NiMH AAA rechargeable batteries (900mAh vs their 600mAh), so I was up and running immediately instead of having to wait the 16 hours the documentation says the initial charging should take. The one minor quibble I have here is that it took me a bit of effort to figure out the pictograms in the setup manual. Mitigating that, Sennheiser includes a CD with the full manual on it and their web site has a downloadable version, too. The full manual uses actual, honest-to-goodness words and pictures instead of those pictograms.

- Every aspect of build quality is excellent. Everything is well designed and well constructed. It all feels very solid.

- And, most importantly, the sound is absolutely amazing. There's no extraneous background noise at all: no hissing, no hums, no snaps, crackles, or pops. The only thing coming through the headphones is a beautiful reproduction of the source material. The sound coming through these FAR surpasses anything coming out of my VIZIO Class XVT Series TruLED XVT472SV 47-Inch 240 Hz sps LCD HDTV (Black). Even better, when listening through these, I don't lose the voices in the music (as happens through my television speakers).

The only minor gripes I can come up with are that 1) the buttons on the headphones (specifically the volume up/down buttons) are not very finger-recognizable: I have to remove the headphones to adjust the volume (perhaps the problem will go away once I become more used to things), and 2) my head and ears feel a bit warm when wearing the headphones. But, then again, I live in Florida. So, that's probably an unavoidable issue. However, all my complaints combined don't add up to the loss of a full star. So, I'm very happy to rate these headphones at an Excellent 5 stars out of 5. - Wireless Headphones - Sennheiser - Wireless - Cordless Headphones'

Sharpening Stones - sharpening tools, sharpeners

Are there "better" sharpeners on the market? Probubly. But as an all around sharpener (I have several styles by several different manufacturers) this little gem is hands down THE BEST! Otherwise I would not have spent a week tracking this one down on the internet after all my local suppliers were "out of stock" or had moved on to more expensive less useful models. The thing folds up and goes in my pocket, it also has a handy hole for a lanyard which my new one is on. It does a great job on my chefs knives, my hunting knife and my serrated kives as well. It's easy for my big fingers to hold on to and steady on the edge of the counter when I am sharpening. I bought an extra one to put away in case this one gets "lost" or I give mine away to a friend. (In case you can't tell I really like it and would buy another one in a minute flat!) Smith's PP1 Pocket Pal Multifunction Sharpener

This is a great sharpener it makes knives super sharp but not quite razor sharp it is much better than Smith's Abrasives 2 Step Knife Sharpener, that sharpener gets knives just as sharp as it has the same angles to the ceramic part of the sharpener; but that uses rods which get loose and end up rolling as you draw your knife through it and don't sharpen your knife. Also this is easier to get a blade into the ceramic sharpening part. This also includes a serrated knife sharpener, and this works well but i can't say much for it as it is the first serrated knife sharpener i have ever used.

i recommend pulling the blade through the carbide part 10 times using semi heavy to medium force, the using the ceramic part about 10 times using medium force then lighting up to about as light as you can get by the 10th stroke

skip the carbide part if your knife is already adequately sharp, only use the carbide part if your knife i dull or damaged as it takes off a lot of steel

I have been sharpening my own knives for years using the Gatco system. Normally I wouldn't trust my knives to anything but me and my Gatco. However, I do tend to spend a lot of time out in the woods and having a portable knife sharpener is an important part of my gear.

I was initially very hesitant to try this style of sharpener since the sharpening angle is fixed and not determined by me. Having now used the Smith's sharpener on several of my hunting and camping knives, I am recommending it to all my friends and have even purchased one for my hunting partner.

Great product, and I would buy it even at twice the price.

Good sharpener but with caveats.

Positives: small size, carbide cutters are very effective at removing metal, ease of use (no special techniques)

Negatives: small contact point on the blade (see below, not very stable if much pressure is applied

Due to the small contact point with the blade, pressure is directed onto a very small portion of the blade. This pressure will vary as you slide the blade through the sharpener (either as a result of nicks in the blade or human error/ inability to maintain perfect pressure). As a result you will end up with a slightly wavy edge to knife. Over time this waviness will likely be exaggerated.

I would say this sharpener is okay for a "quick and dirty" field sharpening of a camping or pocket knife, but I would not use it on fine blade steel or good kitchen knives.

Cheers.

Bought this sharpener on a whim while at a local sporting goods store. I badly dulled one of my favorite pocket knives from over use. Impatiently, I tore open the package in my car and went to work. I figured that if the sharpener was bogus, I could just walk right back into the store and return it.

WOW!!! Was I surprised. This thing is amazing! A few passes through the carbide blades followed by a few through the ceramic and I was sold. Brand new, my knife was NEVER this sharp - and it only took a few seconds.

It's compact, light weight, amazingly effective and idiot proof. If you're thinking about getting one of these, don't even hesitate - just buy it.

Still can't believe that this thing is only $10. Best money I've ever spent.

Smith's PP1 Pocket Pal Multi-Functional Knife Sharpener is a worthwhile knife sharpener that is easy to use, compact, very affordable and perfect for field use when a quick sharpening is needed.

The Carbides provide a quick edge setting for knives that are very dull or chipped. The ceramic stones provide a razor sharp finished edge on either standard or serrated edges. The carbide and ceramic stones are replaceable. A fold out, tapered round, diamond coated rod is designed for sharpening serrated as well as standard edges. The Pocket Pal Multi-Functional Knife Sharpener is lightweight, durable, and comes with a lanyard hole. It is small enough to put in your pocket if necessary or in an E.D.C. bag.

I tested this sharpener on numerous knives such as a Spyderco, Ka-Bar Tactical, Leatherman, Air Force Survival knife and multiple Swiss Army Knives. I was very pleased how effective and efficient this sharpener worked. The tapered round, diamond coated rod was very easy to use on serrations. The only problem I encountered with this sharpener is that it does not seem to work as well with thicker blades. It does work but it is a little more difficult and the carbides seem to wear the blade down a bit more which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. I would not use this sharpener with a very high quality or expensive knife. I would say this sharpener is perfect for those times when a fast field sharpening of a camping or pocket knife is required.

Overall, I highly recommend this product and I will be purchasing another as a backup. - Sharpening Tools - Sharpener - Sharpeners - Knife'

All In One Printer - lc61, brother lc61

I purchased these back in April to have as a backup. They arrived promptly and were packed very well. There was a slight mix up in shipping charges but 1 email to 77Ink and it was taken care of and my account was credited immediately. I am very impressed with their customer service!

As far as the ink goes, it's working out great. It seems to be lasting considerably longer than the cartridges that were supplied with printer. All cartridges were vacuum packed. Colors are great!

I definitely recommend 77Ink and their products! 12 Pack. Compatible Brother LC-61 Cartridges. Includes Cartridges for 3ea LC-61 of each Color Black Cyan Magenta Yellow.

The black cartridge separated in the slot of my Brother MFC-495CW. Broke the release lever and has disabled my printer completely. New machine. This brand does not have the spring loaded front end for a tight fit and leaks ink. Not recommended.

Everything arrived as promised, packaged correctly, etc. However, they just don't work. I inserted the yellow correctly and it has forever broken the yellow ink capacity of the printer. Even after cleaning and buying the ultra-expensive Brother cartridge, the printer will not print anything in yellow and all color photos are printed minus yellow coloring.

These do not work and they will destroy your printer!!!

Tried to exchange the LC61C approx.20 times no sucess and I replaced cartridges before, then I replaced LC61Y which worked right away.

The second LC 61C worked without a problem.

My conclusion: If the failure rate stays below 10% and for the money spent, I will continue using their product. However, if the failure rate is going up, then I won't buy Sophia Global Brand.

Fast shipping. The packaging of the product shipped is mixed. Half of the cartridges are vacuum packaged and the rest are not. I will try to use the non-vacuum packaged first. I haven't use any of those cartridge yet. So can not comment on the quality of them. Otherwise, it is a good value.

This 12 pack is a great buy! The order arrived quickly and everything was fine.

Ink cartridges work perfectly well in my printer (Brother MFC-495CW). Quality is perfect. Price is absolutely terrific. I do not see any difference in print quality compared to OEM inks. I will stick with these for sure and highly recommend them. You just can't go wrong with them.

I ordered these replacement ink carts because of the great price. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product. I know they are generic but for the life of me I can't tell the difference in them and oem carts. I will definately be ordering more when these run out. Good Deal.

I purchased the ink and immediately put it to work. As far as I can tell these cartridges work exactly as well as the higher priced stock cartridges. At a fraction of the price. I haven't been able to print very good photographs, but I am not adept with my printer yet so I am not sure if it is something I am doing wrong, or the quality of the ink for that application. I didn't purchase my printer to print photos, so the ink was a good bargain for me considering the price and quality. - Lc61 - Ink Cartridge - Great Deal - Brother Lc61'

Brother Toner Cartridge - toner, toner cartridge

My complaint isn't with the technical quality of the toner cartridge or the quality of the prints. But the person on here who suggested covering up the two windows on the cartridge to get more life out of it was absolutely correct. My printer stopped working because it was "out of toner," so I ordered a new toner cartridge. After reading the suggestion, I took two pieces of black electrical tape and covered the round windows on either side of the old cartridge. I have since gotten more than 200 perfect prints out of an "empty" printer cartridge. Perfect prints as in NO fading, NO streaks! I am putting my new cartridge on the shelf and waiting to break it out until the print quality on my "empty" cartridge finally starts to deteriorate.

Update: 300+ pages on the "empty" toner cartridge and still going strong. Brother TN330 Black Toner Cartridge

The product was $15.00 cheaper here, with free shipping. I would put non-clear tape over the clear windows on the toner to fully use up the ink in the cartridge. I did this and have not even opened the new one up yet and that was about 1.5 months ago.

After printing less than 1000 pages I got the message that cartridge is empty and needs to be replaced. Absolutely dissappointed (package said 1300 or 1500 pages) I started reading reviews here on Amazon. Thank you very much to whoever suggested covering up little clear circles on the sides of the cartridge. I did it and since then I got 300+ more pages out of my "empty" cartridge, and it's still going strong without even a bit of fading. I guess that's how Brother makes more money out of it by people bying new cartridges without questioning. Shame on the company, but nevertheless it's a good quality product, and price on Amazon is much lower than any supply store.

This is an excellent printer for anyone who prints a lot of black and white documents. If you put a piece of black tape over the little windows on the sides, you can get 3000 pages out of this $30 cartridge, which is 1 cent per page. This is by far the lowest cost per page of any printer on the market, with some HP models running at 20 cents per page and the average ink jet printer at around 13 cents a page. Our ink purchase cost in our business went from $200/month down to $30/month.

It's a toner cartridge what else is there to say. Take out old one attach your drum and re-install into printer. It is NEW not a refill or reconditioned for re-sale. It was factory sealed by Brother.

The reviewers on here are awesome! My toner light was flashing and I was checking the site to find the lowest price for a new one. Instead I found the comments about extending the life of the old toner. IT WORKS! All you have to do is pull out your toner and cover the round window on the right side with dark tape and print away! Amazon reviewers are the best!!!!!

There is no way this cartridge prints 1500 pages, even on low print quality. I will never buy another Brother product again. I wish I had read the online reviews before buying the printer and cartridge at Best Buy.

I ordered a geniune Brother TN360 toner and got a "Premium Laser Toner Cartridge" remanufactured TN360 toner from Tiger Toner. That is not right. Amazon better get rid of this seller or I am done with Amazon!

Bought this toner for my HL-2140 at $15 cheaper than I would have paid at an office supply store. Ordering was quick and easy and the product works great!

However, it is true that putting darkened tape over the clear "windows" on either side of a reportedly "empty" toner cartridge will cause it to mysteriously "find" enough toner to print nearly another ream of paper, 300-400 or more pages with no quality degradation such as streaking or fading. Do this to your old cartridge before replacing it with the one you are buying, and you'll be happy (or angry?) to see your new one sit, unopened, while you continue using up your old cartridge for the next two months. - Laser Printer Ink - Toner - Brother Tn360 - Toner Cartridge'

Dont Waste Your Money - usb, ipod touch

This cable was able to successfully charge and sync to my Macbook Pro. It is however a generic cable with no apple logo. PLEASE NOTE: This cable is very short.. 3 Inches to be exact. Maybe they ran out of wire? Seriously, it seems well made and if you need a short cable I would recommend it. White USB Data Cable for iPhone 3G, 2G, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, iPod Classic

Bought this cable so I could have one at work to go along with the one I have at home. Works perfectly. The only thing I would mention is that there are 2 buttons that you have to press to get the connector out of the phone. Its not exactly like the original cable where you could just pull the cable out. Its not hard or anything, just something you didnt have to do with the original cable. Other than that, fits fine and works great.

I ordered 5 cables. The order and shipping was great. I have had one of the cables just fall apart where the cable meets the connector end that goes into the iPhone. I can not complain too much because it is A LOT cheaper than buying actual ones from Apple or their retailers. If the cable had not gone bad already, I would have given this 5 stars.

I have to rate this the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon thus far because the seller intentionally displays the wrong image for the product, and while the product somewhat serves the functionality, it is bulky, and not what I ordered.

Very disappointed!

-Ehsan

Hi I'm 13 years old. I had an IPod touch cord that broke and wouldnt work so I tried a bunch of different places to get a cheap cord but they never worked. Then I found this product. It seemed to look fine online. And when it came in the mail I was elated and surprised to see that they cords were actual apple ones.(I ordered two) Currently the cords are working out fabulous and soon I'm going to buy more before there gone. So I strongly recommend this cord to you.(:

I ordered three of these last week. So far I have tested two of them and they work perfectly (on an iphone 3Gs as well as an old school nano... I think 2nd gen). They are authentic (or at least look authentic enough to fool an avid mac user) and printed with "Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China". A few reviewers mentioned the cable is short. All of mine came with the regular length. Pretty content with only needing to pay $1.25/item instead of $20 in the store! - Iphone Cable - Ipod Accessories - Ipod Touch - Usb'

Corded Rotary Tool - hobby tool, multitool

This tool works as expected, flawlessly. I picked up two high speed cutters for use on a custom air filter backplate. Speed variability seems like it would fit anyone's needs. The cord on it was around 3-4' long. The bits with it are nice, but if you are looking for something in particular you can probably find a more suitable one. Only complaint is that it doesn't always seem to turn on at the lowest setting. This isn't really a problem since you can turn it on higher and slow it down. I am not sure if I got one with a finicky switch or not. Regardless I would buy again.

Got it from a local dealer because I didn't want to wait for shipment, however amazon was cheaper. Dremel 300-1/24 300 Series Variable-Speed Rotary Tool Kit

I have bought 3 Dremel tools over the years, and none has stood up to moderate use. Usually the speed control goes: either the tool will only run at top speed, or, in the current 300-series models, it quits altogether. Also, the ball bearings Dremel boasts about are not sealed, so they fail due to the dust from whatever you're cutting or grinding getting into them.

No other power tool is so fragile or short-lived: you can get a decent 3/8" electric drill or an angle grinder for about the same amount of money, and they'll last forever. If drills failed so easily, the customers would riot and nobody would buy the company's product. To be fair, I've had the same experience with a Ryobi rotary tool I bought about ten years ago. But it was cheap -- only about $20 -- so I didn't feel quite so shafted when it stopped working.

With the Dremel, you pay a high price for a shoddy product. If you could replace the parts that go bad, that might be bearable. It used to be that you could buy replacement parts. Of course, you couldn't just replace the ball bearings with decent sealed ones -- because you couldn't get them off the armature. You had to buy a whole new armature.

But now, you don't even have that option. Dremel has stopped making replacement parts available!

So now, when the machine packs up, that's it: your expensive Dremel is now a piece of useless disposable junk. Your investment is down the toilet. Dremel talks a big game about quality, etc., but they treat their customers with utter contempt.

As for me, I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and shell out hundreds for a Foredom or something equivalent. They're even more expensive, and they're not as easy to use for my purposes, but they have a reputation for holding up. We'll see.

I have an old Dremel 395, and I recently purchase a 4000 and most recently this 300 series kit. These are all being put to use in an electronics station I've built for different purposes. By far, my old 395 is a far, far better built and more precise tool. You can even tell by the weight of the old 395 that it is a tougher tool. The 4000 is a decent tool, but the feel of it is just light, and cheap, but at least the shaft seems to be centered and true. This 300 I just bought has a very noticeable wobble and bind to the shaft, and I called Dremel about this issue. I was surprised by their attitude and the response of "Dremels are not precision tools". Basically, the conversation ended with "if you don't like it, return it to the store" and was left with a feeling they have tossed quality out the window to save money on production, and it doesn't concern them. I was going to use the 300 in the Dremel workstation's drill press I bought for use with very small drill bit work on circuit cards, but the wobble is so bad I know it will snap the bits. Instead, the 4000 I bought will be used on the drill press, and I have decided to use this 300 instead with the flex shaft I bought since it doesn't seem to impede it's operation any, so that will be it's job from now on. Very, very disappointed with you Dremel. You were always better than this. Also... I would like to note that many of their grinding bits are poorly centered now and off balance. If Dremel doesn't get their act together, they'll gain a reputation of poor quality, and that's hard to shake. I'll be looking elsewhere on the internet for old 395's from now.

Sorry to offer negative remarks, but I was so excited to find this Dremel at a good price for my husband's birthday and disappointed at it's performance. When he first started it up, it vibrated and was so noisy he was ready to ship it back. He's had Dremel's before and always satisfied, just about wore his old one out. So don't know what the problem was, maybe just a lemon because the Dremel product has always been good. Just not this one.

I bought this dremel for a very specific work related purpose. It is basically required for performing repairs on my laboratory equipment. Anyway, it works well, and even though it gets wet and covered with aluminum oxide, it has stayed working and in good condition. If you need this tool, you know why you need this tool and nothing I say will really change it. If you don't know what it is, chances are you don't need it. Basically, it is a low torque turning motor, used for polishing, shaving, and sanding small items, like fine details on something or assembly of small models. It comes with a nice set of tools, most of which I won't ever use. However, it is a decent tool and I got it at a decent price compared to the retail stores. - Multitool - Corded Rotary Tools - Rotary Tool - Hobby Tool'

Fine Writing Instruments - fine writing instruments, astronauts

First, there is a mostly-negative review of this pen from someone that did not like the Fisher ball-point ink. You either like the Fisher refills, they allow you to write on more surfaces, higher temperature range, etc., then other refills, or you do not -- they do skip more, particularly on first use, and they generally don't have the flow of say Lamy, which is generally the top refill in this category. I should note that Lamy refills do fit fine in the Fisher, so if you prefer those, and easy remedy.

In general, in terms of the Fisher Quad pen, it is a very well made pen, and an exceptional value at it's current price point. Advantages include:

* Rubber Barrel (easy to grip)

* Chrome finish below that, in high wear area

* Very good upper Barrel in a sort of grey/titanium type finish

* Better side release mechanism (many have plastic clip release)

I found the pen somewhat lighter than the metal Lamy 4-in-1 variants, but to have better heft than a lot of the cheaper pens. Make no mistake, the Fisher is very well made. The Stylus is quite functinal. The inks, once you get used to them, quite serviceable (and easily replaced with Lamy if you don't). The mechanical pencil is of the 0.5mm class. One of the top 4-in-1 pens at any price point, and an exceptional value at its current one. Fisher Space Pen, Multi-Action Space Pen (Q4)

There are already several long and good reviews for this pen so I'll try to keep mine short.

Overall:

A very nice pen, the multifunction capabilities are great and it looks good.

Pros:

Three separate writing instruments in one. 0.7 mm thick leads which doesn't break easily.

Mediums:

The stylus is a great idea but, many people won't need it. It doesn't work on the new type of touch screens found on modern cell phones (just the old ones like a palm pilot). You can probably switch the stylus out with another pen (perhaps a blue or green one) but, then the label on the end won't be correct (no big deal).

Its a space pen (which could be a pro or a con so I put it here). Some people don't like the "feel" of these types of pens. I like the fact that it can write upside down (done it many times), underwater (don't really have a need for this), in cold weather (done it) etc. I'm not used to writing with micron smooth special pen tips using ink that is ultra great or whatever. It gets the job done, if you want a pen that works you'll like it, if you want a pen that is friction free and uses ink found in one particular species of squid that only lives off the coast of Micronesia then don't get it.

Cons:

Not many and not that severe but, the ink cartridges are small so they'll run out a bit faster. You can find the regular space pen refills at places like Target or Walmart. These take smaller refills that you may have to buy online (I did anyway). You kind of have to expect this from a multifunction pen though.

Also the eraser is kinda small (like most mechanical pencils), I essentially don't use it because I don't want to buy refills. I instead use a separate eraser which is what I do with all the previous mechanical pencils I used so I don't see it as a big deal.

There you have it, my concise review. Hope it helps.

The downfall for many multi pens in the mechanical pencil. The Fisher multi has a good 0.7mm pencil and the ink pens are nice as well.

Most multi pens including the expensive ones only have 0.5mm pencils and the lead always breaks in the smaller pencil mechanicals, thus the lead runs out quick because it also does not hold much lead. The bigger 0.7mm lead means it holds less lead but it does not break nearly as much so it actually last longer. The eraser like every multi pen is basically emergency only, so keep a easer handy at the desk. I use a Staedtler Plastic Eraser.

The stylus is useless, it does not work on I-phones so it will only be good for your 1990s era Palm Pilot, I replaced it Lamy blue pen for blue, black, and red ink pens. The Fisher ink is nice not as nice as the Lamy ink but still good. Other multi's I have switched ink out as soon as I use them with Lamy ink because they are very light writing, but the Fisher ink will stay. The other things I don't like with the Fisher ink and like on the Lamy is the tip is colored coded so you can see you are using the blue ink, the Fisher red and black ink have the same tip so I scribble a bit to verify the color.

The selection action of the pen is nice it's the typical face up what you want and press the button, a small button on the side releases the selection. It works good and has little miss-selection. The look of the pen is great with the dark chrome barrel and chrome tip and buttons. The rubber grip feels great and is sized / shaped right to be comfortable not a annoying like many other grips.

The Fisher Multi does not have the heft of my Parker or my high end Rotring and Lamy multi pens. Those cost much more and have the annoying 0.5mm pencil issues so the Fisher is my favorite to use for day to day work and is a great buy.

Been using pens forever (who hasn't?) & always wanted to have a "favorite pen" but never found one.. until now. The Space pens are nothing new -- the pressurized ink writes smoothly and doesn't leak which is a huge plus. But what I really cared about is how this particular pen has not just regular black, but also pencil (.7mm too which is good since it's thick and not easy to break) & red colored ink. In my job, I must have a pencil on hand as well as red ink in addition to regular black. That meant 3 instruments. Now I am saved from that hassle. The padded grip is great and the pen is weighted perfectly. Plus, it doesn't cost a fortune for this pen either.

I had no need for the stylus function and frankly I would like to see an updated version do away with the stylus and instead put another ink color. This is as resistive screens have been on a huge decline in the past few years with much better capacitive screens taking over, and continuing to surge in 2011. Even resistive screens that exist today are so well adapted to finger pressure that you don't need a stylus for those type of screens either. Therefore, please get rid of the stylus, as it's a feature from yesteryear. - Astronauts - Stylus - Fine Writing Instruments - Great Pen'

Hundreds Of Heads - hundreds of heads, advice

I just got 'How to Survive the Real World' for my brother and saw that it's published by the same guys who worked on this wedding survival book. I'm getting married and I know this book will help since all of these guides offer hundreds and hundreds of witty and practical tips from people who have 'been there, done that'. One tip I read - not to invite out-of-towners who you hope won't make it - is SO true. That happened to us and it's a bit of a sticky situation! Where to Seat Aunt Edna? And 500 Other Great Wedding Tips (Hundreds of Heads Survival Guides)

I am getting married in just a few months and needed a guide to answer some basic questions. This book was easy to read and gave me so many great ideas that I now feel ready to plan and execute a personal, fun wedding day. The advice was right from the people who had "been there" and their hindsight went a long way in making me feel better about the decision I was trying to make. I highly recommend this book

I thought this book was a great one! I was a bit unsure about consulting a wedding planning/etiquette book but I highly recommend "Where to Seat Aunt Edna and 500 Other Great Wedding Tips". Everything in the book made me feel more sure that I'll be able to handle the responsibilities of planning my wedding with ease. This would also be a great gift for a recently-engaged couple.

how many people can say they ordered a divorce book at the same time as a wedding book?! : ) i decided to go for both (since i'm getting re-married this winter!). i was too young the first time and didn't know what i was doing... so decided to get some books on planning a wedding this time! i like this one. it's an easy read and has lots of good tips/stories. - Hundreds Of Heads - Planning - Advice'

Audio Splitter - adapters, audio cables

This is just one style of a 3.5mm splitter. If you don't like this one, there are other styles to choose from. I make a lot of MP3's from audio and video that's playing on the computer. This splitter comes in very handy if you want to listen to what's being played as the MP3 is being created. A splitter allows you to send the sound both to the Line In jack as well as the speakers. I've never noticed any loss of volume, at least nothing that wasn't caused by a plug not being all the way in. If any of the plugs are not making a good connection, the quality of the audio will not be good. That's almost always the problem if there's something wrong with the sound. I did have one other problem once. As it turned out, the audio jacks on the computer motherboard weren't working well. I was using on-board audio rather than a sound card. I installed a sound card so as to bypass the on-board audio, and everything was OK after that. The splitter had nothing to do with the problem. I can't remember one of these splitters ever failing on me. I recommend them. Cables To Go - 40641 - 3.5mm Stereo Male to Dual 3.5mm Stereo Female Adapter

For some reason, I'm pretty sure it has to do with price, I have to turn around (like a knob) the cables that are plugged in to the jack to get the audio out correctly. Sometimes no audio comes out, just an annoying sound & sometimes the audio is there, but you can't hear certain aspects like say the siging (really low)

This product only works with one pair of headphones at a time, meaning it's absolutely useless. Didn't work right out of the box. Complete waste of money. Buy from another company that makes products that actually work.

I understand that I purchased this for roughly $3 but I expected better from such a simple looking product. Of the two 3.5mm holes, only one of the holes secured my headphone in it. If I put my headphone in the other hole, it could fall out way too easily. Not only did I find that the holes were unreliable, the sound that was outputted on from both holes was only from the left side. There are way better choices to purchase that give a bit of a cord extension and only cost at most, $2 more than this splitter cost.

Out of the package, one of the two female ends had absolutely no grip on a 3.5mm plug. (The other female end worked just fine, though.) I'm being generous with the second star because I can't imagine that a build quality issue is a universal problem with this thing. But really, when I was expecting a cheap, convenient adapter, I didn't expect it to be _that_ cheap on manufacturing quality. Given that other solutions for 3.5mm connection sharing are only a few dollars more, I think it's worth it for 90% of people out there to "splurge" with a different adapter. To the 10%: be forewarned if you think this thing is adequate, because you're rolling dice on something which plainly has little or no quality control.

Got this splitter in a few hours ago. I'm using it to split a 1/4" headphones out from an external sound card for DJing, since there are two of us and sharing headphones had become a problem (1/4" to 3.5mm adapter to 2 x 3.5mm). The only (relative) downside I've noticed is that it takes a bit of force to plug the headphones into the adapter. At first, I thought I had ordered the wrong item, but with slight force, it snapped right in. Seems like a good thing for my application as it makes a secure connection and I won't have to worry about my phones coming unplugged.

This item is low-consumer grade, and not surprising based on the cost. The use I needed it for was to split an audio out from the ZOOM H4n to , a/ monitor headphones and b/to record to another device (digital camera mic in). The H4n was used to adjust mic gain, with a dual (high quality) XLR mics. This splitter produced excessive noise on the subsequent recording. - Y Cable - Audio Cables - Audio Splitter - Adapters'

Notebook Computer Bags - notebook computer bags, 17 inch laptop case

As anybody who has an 18.4" or larger laptop knows, it's harder than hell to find a bag to fit for less than $50 or even $60. The list for this bag is around $80 I think on the Toshiba website. I have a 18.4" Qosmio X505-Q870 and it fits in this bag like a glove. The bag isn't real fancy, but it does have some storge for documents, or other leagal/letter sized stuff. And it has the usuall pen/cell/misc pockets with a nifty "pass through" zipper on the front. The shoulder strap is comfortable even lugging this monster laptop around. But I bought this big laptop as a desktop replacement that can be portable when I want it to be, not to carry with me at all times. This case fits the bill to a "T." Definitely recommend it to anyone with a large laptop but certainly wait for a good deal here on AMAZON Toshiba 18.4-Inch Metropolitan Case for Laptop

I had gone in every store imaginable to try to find a soft computer case for my Sony 18"laptop. Using an online search engine one of the links took me to Amazon. Within seconds this Toshiba case came up. I was a little hesitant as the photos really did not depict the quality of this case; however, ordered it and wow what a nice case. Lots of pockets and zip open organizer, nicely padded and even has separate case inside for power cord attachment. I ordered it on a Sunday night and received an email it would be delivered by Thursday and received it on Tuesday which was 2 days early. Highly recommend Amazon's service and this product if you are in the market for 18" case. Super value for the money.

The case is the first and only one found that easily accomdates a full 17" laptop. Other cases claiming to accept large laptops were found to be too snug to allow easy access. The Metropolitan case provides more than sufficient space, is well padded, and the construction adequately protects the laptop. The additional compartment spaces allow space to carry business papers and necessary items. With this case I am able to leave my briefcase at home and carry necessay material in just one case. This case was selected after a lengthy search of competiting products that proved inadequate for a large laptop.

Nx Ts 18.4 Inch Metropolitan Case

It's difficult to find a hand bag for the 18.4" Toshiba Qosmio. This is the one.

Good made quality. But it gould be some more space for accessories. The Qosmio power adapter is very big. It fits, but with some difficult. Because it isn't many alternatives for this heavy laptop, I recommend this one.

Well designed, even better made, spacious and yet not bulky. My 17.3" laptop fits perfectly with some space still available for a bigger machine. Well padded on both sides. I will probably put in a strip of additional padding at the bottom as I want to protect the laptop in case of accidental impact that might happen when I bend my body forward or turn my head and shoulder back. However, the shoulder strap is very well padded and is not likely to ever slip off your shoulder, it is made to hang on your shoulder dead put. Inside, there are two main compartments and a few handy small once to hold the brick, spare battery and whatever else you need to carry with you? books included. There is even a padded pouch to hold a spare battery. Four plastic/rubber square heels in the bottom outside the case allow it to be safely put down on floor or whatever. The case is made of good looking and good quality material. Much more than one might desire for the price. Do I like it? You bet!!!

This bag is the perfect complementary size for at 17.3" Toshiba Satellite. There is no other bag out there that can easily accommodate this laptop and all its accessories at this bargain price! This bag retails at Toshiba for $129 or more. I am so happy I got this bag, I now have a safe way to transport my very new and expensive laptop.

Received this bag very quickly and fits my new 18.4 inch HP DV8 Perfectly. Plenty of room for extras in the side pockets and the middle. Light weight so does not add a lot to the weight of the computer. Recommended bag and seller.

After purchasing my 18.4" laptop, I quickly discovered that finding a case for it was impossible. I thought the store that I purchased it from would at least have the case to go with it, but it did not. There began my search on the web to locate a case to fit this laptop. After a failed attempt with an on-line bargin company, I realized that I should have purchased the case from Amazon in the first place. I placed my order and got free shipping and received the case within a few days, just as promised. This case allows me to carry this large laptop with ease and has easily accessible compartments for the storing its accessories and my paperwork. - 17 Inch Laptop Bag - Notebook Computer Bags - 17 Inch Laptop Case - 18 Inch Laptop Bag'
