Yellow - concealers, yellow

Love the product but usually very hard to find my color in the drug stores. Got sick of looking, so decided to order on-line! I'm very happy with the service I received and will continue to purchase via Amazon for now on. Maybelline Pure Concealer #640 Medium

Cannot find in stores anymore.......this little marvel is a perfect "pen" for age spots......you can really coverup a spot exactly....use it to cover dark spots, broken veins or whatever then put your cream makeup over whole face and you've got perfect coverage!

I have been using this for a long time. It is great for those stray acne spots that pop up, whether one or several. It dries it up great and is a great coverup at the same time. I have trouble with adult acne or dermatitis as the dermatologist likes to call it and this product helps alot. - Yellow - Concealers'

Disneyworld - rain poncho, disneyworld

These rain ponchos worked perfectly for our Disneyworld trip. They are very small and lightweight to carry, and open up big enough for my 6 and 10 year old kids. They are made of very thin plastic, so they won't hold up more than a day or so, but they are cheap enough to be disposable at the end of the day. Children's Emergency Poncho, Weather Protection, Rain Gear, Emergency Zone® Brand

I bought this item to keep in my childs school bag in case of a rainy day. It is the perfect size. I never used it yet to see how well it works but I'm sure it is of good quality. I just wanted something small to keep in a pouch in the school bag all year round. Very inexpensive too.

I bought this for my 4-yr-old and it fits him perfectly over a puffy winter coat. From reading other reviews I expected it to be almost disposable in quality, but we have used it several times and it hasn't ripped yet. The plastic is super thin but that is what makes it so good for traveling.

Pro:

Folds up really small and takes up almost no space in my purse.

Sturdier than expected.

The size is perfect for a small child.

Con:

The hood blows off easily so it does nothing for keeping my son's head dry. He has to wear a hooded jacket underneath. - Rain Poncho - Disneyworld'

Eligible For Super Saver Shipping - extension cord, cord

This summer I gathered up all of my beat up construction extension cords and replaced them with two of these. A vast improvement - this line is easy to see when on the ground, very strong, and easy to wrap up and store. Coleman Cable 02408 14/3 SJTW Vinyl Outdoor Extension Cord, Red, 50-Foot

Bought this for my Black & Decker Mower and Black & Decker grass trimmer that I also got off of Amazon. Both do not include a power cable, so you'll need something like this.

As gauge gets smaller the cable gets bigger. So 16 gauge cable is smaller than 12 gauge. 14 is right in the middle. Bigger cables can take more power (amps). The mower is 6.5 amps and the trimmer is something less than that, so this cable is plenty for either of them (not at the same time.. although it might do that just fine, who knows.. I wouldn't try it).

Easy to tug around, fits snugly in both devices and is bright to see and easy to coil. Couldn't really ask for more.

I bought the Coleman Cable 02409-88-04 100-Foot 14/3 SJTW Vinyl Outdoor Extension Cord, Red for my Homelite UT43100 (14", 9Amp) electric chain saw, even though the manual calls for lower AWG (12/3 or 10/3) when using cord longer than 50' due to loss of power. However, Coleman claims that this cord is sufficient to deliver 13 Amp up to 100', so I gave it a shot and bought it. I cut wood for 30 minutes and didn't notice any underperformance of the chain saw or potential overheating of the cord. I'm very satisfied with this product. For storing the cord I purchased the Bayco K-100 150-Foot Cord Reel.

I purchased this cord in combination with Green Leaf WW-1 Wonder Winder Hand Crank Extension Cord Winder and they went together perfectly.

My only complaint about the Coleman Extension cord is that the tips are a little on the large side. They measure just under 1.5 inches which is only slightly larger than my other extension cords. This extra is just enough to make it difficult to connect some of my electric yard tools.

Otherwise, the cord appears to be of good quality (and much better than I expected from Coleman). It has heavy-duty sheating and thick gauge wire, but is still flexible enough to use and wind. There's no signs of the cord heating up when used with my electric mower like my other off-brand Home Depot special cord (of the same gauge).

The cord itself is a bit on the heavy side, but that's expected for a cord of this gauge.

I only use this product in the fair weather of California so I can't speak of its sub-zero performance. - Cord - Extension Cable - Extension Cord - Eligible For Super Saver Shippin'

16gb Sdhc Memory Card

I received this item as a gift since I love taking pictures and HD video. All of that can really eat up space quickly, so I was glad I got a SDHC card.

I've used many other amazon basic items like HDMI cables and other electrical cords, and they've all served me well, so I didnt worry about a amazon branded SDHC card. For all I know, they're probably made on the same assembly line as a big brand name card like SanDisk or PNY.

Write speeds, they're quick. My old camera used to make me wait 2-3 seconds after taking a photo, and waiting for it to write on my old old SanDisk 2GB SD card. Now after using this, instantly, I can shoot more photos and videos without needing to wait for it to write to the card.

Read speeds are pretty quick, all my pictures and videos showed up within seconds. My old Sandisk would make me sit there for a minute or two while it read each image and created preview icons for them in windows.

I highly recommend it to anyone who's into photography or just likes to shoot tons of videos/photos. I tend to copy everything and save it on my computer when the card starts to get full, but if you're the type of person who saves it all on SD cards for a long time, you might opt to get a 8 or 16GB card instead. AmazonBasics 16GB Class 4 SD Flash Memory Card

The card certainly has capacity to spare, even shooting RAW files. However, like many of you I enjoy taking photographs at sporting events and that is where the difference between a class 4 card and a class 6 card (which I have several of) shows up.

The slower writing speed on the class 4 card, and slower transfer speed when off-loading the images to my computer, is disappointing ~ enough so that I will sacrifice capacity for enhanced speed when making future purchases.'

Organization

It's true, CL has "improved" this product. In the process they ruined it. For one thing, they removed several features, for instance the new version does not have the removable fast file and lacks the slot for a label on the handle. Also, it is about 30% lighter, and obviously "cheaper" in many respects, e.g the sides are now lightweight nylon. I would be surprised if one of these new models holds up for even 30% as long as the old one. And it's UGLY: brown stitching on black faux leather looks awful!

There is one actual improvement in the new one - it was easier to open flat on a table. And one possible improvement - the attachment of the handle is apparently different, but you can't really tell if it's any better because it is hidden on the new one.

You can't blame Amazon - the new and the old one have the same UPC code (8585405012). But they are different part numbers: old = #60 2233002, new = #63-2400017-A.

I am disgusted with Case Logic for this crass and brazen attempt to squeeze a few pennies out of the production cost at the cost of huge loss of quality. I'm not going to touch any of their products again - IMO they cannot be trusted. Case Logic KSW320 Koskin CD/DVD Wallet 336 Disc Capacity (Black)

I will admit that hands down case logic is THE BEST cd wallets you can buy. They are (usually) constructed with great quality and you actually feel that you get your money's worth. Even the protection it provides for the cd's that you put it in it is outstanding. I'm a scratch freak and I've noticed that Case Logic wallets do not put any scratches what-so-ever on your cd's or dvd's. Not even those little really light ones that you only see in bright light. Nothing bad to say about them at all, it was pretty much everything a CD wallet should be, at it's finest. BUT!, new this year is the redesigned version of these wallets and they are TERRIBLE! The previous models were superior to any other cd wallet out there. Now they have BROWN STITCHING put against black koskin leather. The handle looks completely cheap and it comes from inside the wallet. Letting you know that there is no telling what is holding it in place. The mesh screen IN the handle is gone, so no more labels can be placed in it. They are seriously terrible and that's all you can find when you go out shopping for one. I found this out and quickly rushed to my favorite local electronic store and bought the last (previous model 320 koskin) cd wallet that I was lucky to find in the very back of the shelf. The rest were the new UGLY and cheaply made ones at the SAME PRICE. I bought that wallet just in case I needed it within the year and good thing I did, because I needed it, and now need another. I'm now out of space and in desperate need for a new cd wallet, but I refuse to buy one of these new ones. It doesn't matter if you get the koskin leather (which is my favorite) or the fabric ones, they are both repulsive in this years model. So now I sit with old spool casings that used to hold all my blank cd's now holding my real cd's and dvd's until case logic comes back into focus and sells a better quality and improved (this time for real) cd wallet. This is pretty much everything that the previous 2 reviews say. I just COMPLETELY agree with everything they say and I'm hoping that somebody from case logic or word gets out to the people and they notice a huge slump in their sales this year. Please Case Logic, no more brown stitching, poor quality handles and less features in your next model design of these wallets... my fingers are crossed.

I just received this case in the mail today. This is the second one I have bought off of amazon (this exact item), but this one was not exactly the case described and pictured above. It had a cardboard sleeve/carton wrapped around it that also described and pictured this item as it appears above. The cardboard wrapper didn't match the item in it.

I like the new design better though. It looks nicer, the Koskin material is slightly brown, but just barely (it looks black until you inspect it closely). The Handle is more secure, actually attached inside the material.

THE ONLY BAD DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE 16 SLOTS IN THE FRONT OF THE CASE AREN'T REMOVABLE, LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. I own the other case (the one described and picture above), and the removable 16 CD folder is pretty handy.

Otherwise, I'm happy with the changes and will not return it. In fact, I'm ordering another one!! BUT, AMAZON SHOULD CHANGE THEIR DESCRIPTION.

Ok, I almost didn't get this because of all the bad reviews, but I'm glad I did. Maybe it's not the same as the old version and maybe it's not as good, I don't know because I've never owned the old version, but this one is great. It feels sturdy, looks nice, and does its job.

One complaint I saw over and over was that it had brown stitching as opposed to black. Personally, I love the brown stitching. It seems to give it a more retro appearance.

Don't worry about the negative reviews. They are all from people who owned the first version. If this is the first time you're buying this one, you won't regret it.'

Good Product - waffles, kitchen appliance

This is an excellent waffle maker, it just works everytime. I like the fact that this machine is a 4 - slice. Amazons price as always is $15 less than the rest. Cant go wrong with this. If your looking to make waffles with ease of use and easy cleanup get the oster 4 slice, you wont regret it.

This is a reasonably priced waffle maker that bakes more or less consistently, and is easy to use and clean. There's nothing complex here -- no settings or anything like that, you just turn it on and wait for the green light.

I like the square shape and making 4 at a time means we can sit down together to eat, and I can also bake several for the freezer and they fit nicely in the toaster later. I also have had no problems will spilling over the sides -- it handles quite a lot of batter. These are all plusses. The only time it was kind of pain to clean was when I added blueberries, and some of them baked to the metal, and that took a little more effort to clean off, but otherwise, just wiping it down with a damp paper towel does the trick.

The only downsides are that sometimes the top of the waffles don't seem to brown as nicely as on the bottom (although the second batch will always seem to come out better than the first), and I noticed a little bit of the black surface coming off on the side of the iron where the cover hits (this after only about 2 uses), but since it is not a spot where food touches, I am not concerned. Also, you may have to check the waffles quite a few times to make sure if they are done or not, but I don't find that a huge drawback.

Overall the waffles have been very nice, and for the price, ease and convenience, as long as more of the black coating doesn't wear off, I am happy with it.

I have only used this waffle maker twice so far. Except for the very first waffle that I cooked, the waffles have been coming out a nice, fairly even golden color. Following directions, I coated top and bottom with cooking spray prior to both uses, but the second time the waffles seemed to want to stick to one of the surfaces more. I noticed later that the instruction booklet calls it a Belgian waffle maker (I intended to get just a conventional waffle maker), but now I understand why the waffles are a little thicker than I expected. I'm extremely happy that it does produce a very large 4-section waffle in about 5 minutes time. (I can join it at breakfast, too, instead of waiting on countless small waffles.) The construction is rather flimsy, but at this price, I'm pretty sure I'll get my money's worth out of it.

We used this waffle iron for the first time today. The box says "Makes 4 Belgian waffles in minutes". I was very disappointed that the waffles did not have deep pockets like our past 5 Belgian waffle makers. (Yes, we eat a lot of waffles.) This one makes flatter waffles, like our non-Belgian waffle makers. The pockets are wide, but not deep. The waffle height was only about 9/16". The other Belgian waffler we still own, the Oster 3874 Flip Nonstick Belgian Waffle Maker, makes about 15/16" thick waffles (a whole 3/8" thicker), which are about the same as our other past Belgian waffle makers. The Oster 3874 also flips and has a temperature adjustment. This one does neither. We ran both wafflers today with the same batter, and the waffles turned out less crisp and slightly more soggy with this unit compared to the 3874 - but produced more waffles in the same time.

Another thing we noticed is that steam formed inside the indicator light, but we've seen this on other waffle makers with no ill effects. Otherwise it worked acceptably for the first time, making 4 edible waffles at a time without sticking.

It makes 4 4"x4.75" waffles per batch (about 8"x9.5" total griddle size). The cord extends about 28" from the unit, and comes from the bottom out the right side, making it easy to catch inside the corner of the waffle griddle - it happened twice in our first use, slightly melting the cord insulation.

Update:

After many batches, the results are pretty much the same as above. Acceptable waffles and consistent results. The waffles would be crisper if it used a higher temperature.

Amazon sells another large Belgian waffle maker that does make proper deep-pocket waffles, the Krups 654-75 WaffleChef 4-Slice Belgian Waffle Maker. I'm hoping to get that one next. - Kitchen Appliance - Good Product - Waffles - Misprint'

Hdv

Looked forward to the book, but found its organization rambling, and its content offering little more than a cataloging of the hd formats. It's endorsement of HDV is troublesome, given the problems of using that codec in post. No mention of 2k or 4k, and scant mention of the nonlinear systems that handle HD. Sadly, it already feels out of date. High Definition Postproduction: Editing and Delivering HD Video

Working in the Television world, and with more and more shoots being done in the mysterious HD format, it can often be confusing, understanding which frame rates to use and knowing what can be cheated in post, etc. I Bought this book and i found it to be one of the best HD books on the market. It has cleared up much of the confusion, misconceptions and has taken the myustery out of HD shooting/editing. I have already recommended it to many of my collegues and it is a huge resource, which can be refered back to again and again. MANY THANKS

This book is great for professional videographers like myself who need to learn more about the basics and intermediate aspects of HD. Its easy to read and follow without being dull or overly simplistic. Some color photos would've been nice. As well as some more specific details and recommendations to maintain image quality and archiving methods for tapeless work-flows. Otherwise well worth reading.

Very informative but not excruciatingly exhaustive. Many of the random questions I had were answered clearly. I found the book also to be very inspiring; being a low budget filmmaker, it make me realize the dream is within reach, and that HD is not too far from my grasp. I was especially encouraged by the information he provided about HDV - being that I use a Canon XH A1.

Sincerely, Awesome book!! To the point, but extremely informative - it provides what you need without all the froth.

I bought this book hoping to get a solid outline of HD post techniques. Unfortunately the book is rambling and poorly organized. The introductory material is simple, repetitive and sometimes just plain wrong. The more advanced material is very cursory, and quite jumbled in its presentation. The author may well be a great video editor, but his command of the technical aspects of video formats and compression seems tenuous.

Mr. Redrocker is certainly entitled to his opinion and I am sorry he didnt like my book. I think he was looking for a different text: 2k and 4k are used for film post production. Also, my text is designed be an overview of HD and the post production field, not be cutting edge. The internet is far more current especially concerning a fast evolving technology like HD. I purposely designed the text to NOT be out of date. The DTV, HD, HDV information, examples and discussions are still valid. My suggestion for 2K and 4K information would be to look at Digital Intermediates for Film and Video or books like it. Steve Browne.'

Dell Replacement Ac Adapter - dell replacement ac adapter, laptop power adapters

The charger that came with my laptop became very corroded right where it connects, and my laptop wouldn't charge. My battery power was at 2% and I had to sit near an outlet to use my computer; if the charger fell out the computer would instantly die. So I started looking for a replacement.

I was a bit nervous about this charger working on my Dell 1501 when it claimed to work on 26 different models, but it matched the specs of my current charger--65W, 19.5V--and the price was hard to beat. On the Dell website they wanted $80 for a replacement charger, one that was only 3 feet long! So I gave this a try. It looks a bit different from my old charger, but it works, and my laptop is charging as we speak, for the first time in a month. Seller SIB shipped it quite fast; it arrived on the third day after ordering, and I only paid for standard shipping.

We'll see if I have any long term issues, but at this point it looks like I got a better charger (about seven feet long instead of three) at just over a quarter of the price I would have paid by going through Dell for an "official" replacement.

IMPORTANT UPDATE 11-23-09: Bear in mind that extra parts like the charger are sometimes included in your computer's service warranty, if you purchased one. It turns out that my warranty did include the charger, so I really didn't have to buy this charger at all. And since I threw out my old Dell charger when I bought this non-Dell one, I don't have it anymore to exchange for a new Dell one! NEW Laptop/Notebook AC Adapter/Battery Charger Power Supply Cord compatible with Dell Inspiron 1150 1420 1501 1505 1520 1521 1525 1526 6000 6000D 6400 8500 8600

This item arrived Friday 6/12/09 and as soon as it arrived I tried it on my Inspiron 1505 and my son's 1501 and it did not charge either. I contacted these people on Friday and got one response that said they would gladly exchange or fully refund the product, but they need more information to make sure it wasn't a technical issue. I responded back and gave them all of the information they requested and here it is 2 days later and I have not gotten any response at all. At first I was willing to exchange, but now I don't want to deal with people that take your money and leave you hanging. I needed to get this issue resolved as soon as possible as my son is leaving out of town and will need to take our only working adapter.

So please beware if you buy this product it may not work and they will take their time responding to you!!!

Within seconds of using for the first time, it caused the Dell 1525 laptop to smoke and pop. Technician said the adapter had wrong polarity. The refund does not cover the damages...not by a long shot. Everyone is pointing fingers so far. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY EVER!!! My daughters brand new graduation gift is ruined.

I totally understand the favorable reviews...I agreed when I first used two of these Dell laptop power adapters...they are almost identical to the power adpaters we got when we bought our Dell laptops (so, no--they're not lightweight or built for ultra heavy use nor do they span great distances...they're basically the same weight, size and length of the Dell adapters). But there's a reason they're $80 less than any other adapter--the product quality is awful. It's now been two months of moderate use. The first one died a month ago, and in a disturbing way...I plugged it into the wall and the cord that leads from the wall to the adapter actually shorted and started a fire. No lie...an actual fire. I blew it out right away, but after that I didn't trust the other one to be out of my sight while in use. But it worked, so I stuck with it. Then last night, I pulled the wall plug out and one of the two flat prongs stayed in my wall socket. Seriously? I didn't even notice it at first. Can you say electrocution hazard? I knew you could. Maybe these are rare cases of failed quality, but that's enough for me to say you're taking a chance probably not worth taking if you buy this product. All those who gave this product such a great review should provide a followup rating after six months of use--I'm guessing many of those 4-star and 5-star reviews would vanish.

I always depend on owner reviews with an item like this as you will find some are junk and some are just fine... Many reviews for this item said it worked just fine and it does for us also.

Seems to be a wide variety of quality out there these days.

The one we bought charges the battery pack and runs the Dell Inspiron 1501 without problem.

THIS notebook has the optional extended capacity battery pack from Dell also.

Will this replacement power adapter last as long as the original Dell AC adapter? Won't know until it quits, but will report back when it does to let everyone know. Although the original Dell that came with the notebook didn't last very long IMO, around two years I guess.

Everything breaks sooner or later, its value depends on what you paid and how long it worked, at this price, even a year would be ahead of the original Dell unit.

Maybe even 6 months would be good, going by the price of the replacement direct from Dell.

We shall see how it goes, but I've already ordered a second one to use at the office, at these prices might as well not carry an AC adapter back and forth IMO.

All volts, watts & amps on the label matched the original unit, computer side plug matched and fit well and has the positive on the center post.

Note that SOME electronics use the reverse on the DC side (notebook end) and have the positive pole on the outside, so be sure you are ordering the right one on the computer end. Reversed polarity is a sure way to blow more than the new AC adapter out.

It does not have the rubber belt to hold cord around adapter like Dell, but I think that is bad idea on the original adapter as it bends the DC side connection too hard, this replacement adapter also has a third wire grounded AC line unlike the Dell unit which is always good.

Be careful which one you order through Amazon, there are several 3rd party suppliers and not all of them give the same details but still use the same photo. The one from "Super Deal" lists the input/output numbers and that it fit my notebook, some don't... some have BAD reviews, this one has pretty good reviews and they all look the same at first sight, read the details and specs first

Cord length is 18 inches less than Dell unit.

Both of the replacements have a total cord length of 92 inches not counting the adapter box, 46 inches of cord on both AC and DC sides.

Original Dell has total cord length of 110 inches not counting the adapter box, 36 inches on the AC side and 74 inches on the AC side. Not really a problem as I plug them into a power strip that makes up for this and has it's own circuit breaker.

Power plug on the DC end (computer end);

Dell unit measures 9/32" outside diameter with 7/32" inside diameter (negative pole)

THIS replacement measures 9/32" outside diameter with 7/32" inside diameter (negative pole) and does not fall out.

It would seem that Dell uses two sizes of plug that goes into the computer, if you get the smaller size and needed the larger it will keep falling out as many have had happen.

Please NOTE, I'm talking about using this on a two year old Dell Inspiron 1501, they might have changed the plug size needed on other notebook models AND might even change sizes within the same model over time. Be sure to check the size of yours and IF possible the size of the replacement you are going to order.

"Super Deal" page on Amazon also lists a 12 month warranty... good/bad hard to say, but it is given.

No doubt price of warranty shipping each way would buy a new unit outright anyway.

My order was filled by "Super Deal" and they got the order out very fast and was delivered ahead of time given.

I've seen some reviews that just sound like horrible results and have to wonder if some of these people had other things, like their battery packs go bad without knowing it and tried to fix the situation with this adapter only to find out it gets hot and quits trying to power through a shorted battery pack that was the real problem in the first place.

Of course, BOTH could be bad at the same time so just be sure this is the whole fix for your power/charging problem first.

One big item to consider is something I found while searching the problem on the Internet;

Some Dell notebooks are programmed to detect when a non-Dell power adapter is used, and will restrict the ability of third-party adapters to charge the battery but still supply power to keep it running. There may very well be various combinations of trouble if Dell has tried to defeat owners when they try to bypass Dells high prices.

Can be the same with replacement battery packs also, Dell uses "Smart" packs that have their own electronics in them in order to try and keep all sales in house. Mixed results from people who try to buy and use outside sources.

Try not to drop your adapter, that COULD also lead to some problems you are reading in many reviews... knock out one little component and you stop electrical output.

Keep your power adapter as cool as you can. Do not pile things on top of it, or let it slip under furniture etc. Also, realize that if you have it on a rug or carpet, it can not cool as well as it would on the desk or bare floor.

Do know though that even the expensive power adapters can and will get hot to the touch when they are working to full output, so some of the cheaper made units with lower end materials used for the case and cords could get too hot and fail. If it's the cable or plug, it will short out after it melts enough to let the wires make contact with each other.

I can only wonder how many reported problems are because of cord/wire failures rather than the power converter itself. Would be interesting to know how many of the problem units always get their cords wrapped around them for transport or storage. I for one do not wrap the cords as that can weaken them where they attach to the unit.

Too bad that reviewers don't always say which seller they bought from when they say "junk" or "great item" at least there would be a chance to weed out the worst units from same suppliers and come up with some kind of list of best place and unit to buy.

If you are worried, you could try one in the next higher priced adapter/chargers which is about three to four times this price... but still much less than OEM from the notebook Mfg.

For example;OEM Dell Ac Adapter Laptop Charger for Dell INSPIRON ,Dell XPS ,Dell Studio, Dell Latitude ,Dell Vostro, P/N PA-10 PA10 90w 90 watt Genuine/Original/OEM Portable Charger for Laptop Notebook Computer Battery Charger Power Supply Cord Plug

After that, you can still step up to a more expensive universal adapter like the one from Targus for example;Targus Premium Laptop Charger (AC/DC) APM69US (Piano Black)

Update 8/27/2010

Vantage Point - home theater component shelf, glass tv component shelf

I ordered two of these and have them installed into the wall in my home theater. One holds my projector and the other holds whatever component is being projected (Xbox, Wii, Laptop, Ps3). At first it seems weird to set them up with the rounded end against the wall and the square end pointing out, but it actually does work better that way.

Since there are only two points where this attaches to the wall, it DOES rock sideways a little bit. Actually it's more of a rotate, but you know what I mean. Getting the mount perfectly level is a lot more difficult that you'd think.

Also, once the shelf is fully installed, it DOES tilt DOWN, and is not square with the wall. That's just the way it is. Normally that's not a big deal, but it was a big deal for me, because I have my projector sitting upside down on it for an inverted-front-projection and across about a 10 foot throw the image dropped about 6 to 7 inches more than it should have.

I had to mount this into a wood stud with the screws it came with (behind 2 layers of drywall). I had initially bought some 50-lb drywall anchors and used those to hold the shelf with my projector on it, but as I was setting everything up the shelf started tilting forward and the top anchor pulled right out of the wall. The weight was not the issue -- it was the torque (twist away from the wall around the bottom of the bracket). I caught everything in time, and want my lesson to be served as a warning to others -- DO NOT try mounting this directly into drywall unless you have the mounts that expand in the empty space behind the drywall (and if you don't know what that means, then just don't try it at all).

NOTE TO NEW PURCHASERS: Do NOT install the top plate before attaching the bracket to the wall! You will have a loose and slightly less unstable connection. Vantage Point AXWG-01S Extra Shelf - Silver for AXWG-03S

It's super easy to install, Just align it right and two screws only. And after installing it, it is soooooo clean. I used it for putting my theater projector. The shelf blend in so well. Love it.

I ordered three in total, I'm going to put a receiver on another one. The spec says it will hold 25 pounds, and the receiver is exactly 25 pounds. Let's see if it will actually hold up or not. :)

Very solid item that looks nice and performs as expected. Mounting was extremely simple and straighforward. The mount itself is very sturdy and the glass shelf is a comforting thickness.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

It was simple to install and did exactly what it was bought to do, which was store the dvd player near the TV on the wall. It looks nice and does not take up much room. I purchased new from Amazon and had a good experience. Previously I had attempted to purchase one from a private party the BC Trader and it delayed my purchase by several weeks because the item was never sent.

My husband and I bought this shelf to hold our satellite box for our new TV we mounted in our bedroom. He wasn't thrilled that it didn't have anything to hide the cords, but that really hasn't mattered. The back of the shelf is curved, so the cords can be run behind. We mounted the shelf above the TV and you can't see any of the cords or cables. I didn't personally mount the shelf, so I can't attest to it's installation, but I love it. Because of the glass the satellite box almost looks like it's floating. It looks neat and clean and could easily hold more than the satellite box. We are very pleased with this shelf and would recommend it to anyone.

This product is great. If you don't have a power drill, it becomes a test of strength based on your wall. Me and a friend spent a long time trying to actually get the screws that came with it all the way in. Once we did, we saw how nice and sturdy it was. It's great for mounting anything the size can handle. Right now, I have a DVD player, a DVR, and a Receiver on it. I would try not to put much more than that on this, as it's not rated to hold THAT much weight. When you put it together the glass part is actually held between rubber balls on the plates above and below it. It's good so that you get it very stable without having a chance of it cracking. Something else to mention is that when you are screwing on the glass portion, make sure to screw it in evenly (IE screw a little on the left, then screw a little on the right) or else you may have trouble getting that part together easily. It's just as advertised, and easy on the eyes. Make sure you check the dimensions so that it isn't protruding too much for your liking. - Glass Tv Component Shelf - Home Theater Wall Mount - Audio-video Shelving - Home Theater Component Shelf'

Xbox Live Gold Card - xbox 360, xbox live

To start off, I'd like to say that XBox Live is amazing and worth every penny. Online gaming is incredibly fun and a quite good way to pass time.

That aside, there are downsides to XBox Live that can be avoided through prepaid cards. Number one, you always run the risk that unwarranted transactions will be made if your credit card information is stored on your XBox 360 system. It may not happen all that often, but it's best to avoid it all together.

The biggest reason to buy prepaid Xbox Live card is the renewal process that happens when you don't use one. If you order XBox Live through your system, it'll renew everytime your subscription runs out. This wouldn't be a problem except that it's not that easy to cancel. Instead of canceling through your system, you have to go through the hassle of actually calling XBox Live support. Even then, depending on the representative you get, you may be hassled to keep your subscription because they really don't want you to cancel it. I'm guessing that's part of their job to convince you to keep it, but it still is frustrating to the person that is trying to cancel it.

You'll have to go through this process every time you want to cancel if you don't use a prepaid card. Is that hassle really worth it? I don't think so. Therefore, avoid all of the problems by simply buying a prepaid card. You won't be sorry.

UPDATE: (3/6/2011): I updated this review about a year ago pointing out that you could disable the subscription on X-Box Live's website. As of this update, they've taken that feature away again. I'm guessing Microsoft must have seen a major increase on people who canceled their subscription, thus now forcing you to call their customer service hot-line again to cancel. Even if they add it back, just save yourself the hassle and get a prepaid card. You never have to worry about dealing with customer service that will try their hardest to get you to stay on as a recurring customer. Amazon also gives great deals throughout the year. You could save yourself $20 to $30 sometimes just by checking to see if Amazon has these prepaid cards on sell. What's not to love about that? Xbox 360 12 Month Live Gold Card

From what I can find this is the cheapest cost per month option available for a live gold subscription. Depending on the current price, it ranges from $2.9158 to $3.3325 per month. What I don't get is why this credit card sized subscription card comes in such wasteful packaging. It comes in a rather large plastic packaging, which requires it to be shipped in a box. You get free shipping, but how wasteful. Why doesn't amazon just offer the code online and not eat the cost of shipping and at the same time be a little greener?

Find the card on sale every so often each year. Don't pay the full price. The Xbox Live Gold is stellar and I love it, but I don't see how they charge $50 or more a year and you don't get any freebies...other than advanced demo downloads. They need to throw a bone for a free song or discounted DLC or a free rental every so often. I have spent well over $1000 in my 3 years with the Xbox 360 on peripherals, games and downloads. 2% of my money spent as a gift would have paid for 1600 points of DLC...that would be a nice thank you from Xbox 360 for keeping their community alive and well.

My 18 year old son was exploring a subscription to xbox live. I learned that it was far better to purchase a 12 month card than provide a credit card number for the subscription that would be charged monthly. I read that if you had your credit card charged each month, you could cancel the subscription at any time BUT it was incredibly difficult to get through to the customer serrvice area to have the subscription cancelled. Rather than take the risk of continuing to be charged month after month if my son decided to cancel the subscription, we opted for the 12 month card. The card was a better deal through Amazon, and we avoided any potential issues by not providing a credit card that could be charged every month. The card was easy to activate.

This is the BEST deal I have ever found on the Xbox Live 12 Month Subscription.

I looked 6-10 different places for a deal on this and only found 1 close to this and that was wal-fart but I dislike shopping there so Amazon was the place to go.

This should be a guaranteed buy and you CAN'T beat the Price!!!

There's nothing more fun than being able to go online everyday day and being able to talk to and play with friends around the world. Xbox live is also a great way to meet new people and make new friends. This can be hard because there are so many immature people on Xbox Live. I would warn anyone with small children or those who do not like foul language to be careful because never in your life will you hear the F bomb or the N word as often as you do on Live. Of course there are parental settings and you can keep communications just between friends but still this is one of the biggest downfalls to Live. Another problem with Live is customer service. Yes, you can e-mail them or call them at 1-800-4myxbox (good luck getting help there) but the service is terrible. Even with these downfalls I still have to strongly recommend Live because being able to play videogames over the internet and keep up with friends and family that live far away is too much fun to pass up. - Xbox Live - Xbox 360 Live - Xbox 360 - Xbox Live Card'

Canon Digital Camera - canon, dslr case

I used this case for my Nikon D5000 during a trip to Italy. I wanted a slim case so that I could carry the camera around in my purse and avoid looking like a tourist with an extra bag advertising the fact that I had an expensive camera. The case worked out perfectly. It protected the camera very well and fit snugly. It was fairly easy to get the camera in and out of the case quickly. I am extremely happy with the purchase and would highly recommend it! USA Gear DuraNeoprene dSLR FlexArmor for Nikon, Canon EOS, and Sony Alpha Digital SLR Cameras

i'm using this case for a canon XSi, and so far its great. it keeps the camera safe from bumps and scratches. if you want a case to seal a camera, or keep dust out completely, this isnt the case for you, on the sides (where the camera strap is) there are gaps, obviously for the strap, but if outside in the dust, there's a chance dust could get on the camera. however, i very much like the feel of the case, if any of you have felt the neoprene cases for macbooks or macbook pros, its similar, though not quite as form-fitting.

Pros: lightweight, carry anywhere and everywhere, protects from bumps, scratches and dings. nice to hold, nice to feel.

Cons: not dust, or water, proof. wont protect camera from shoulder-height falls.

if you're just looking for a case to keep the camera in, get it. if you'd prefer a solid case to protect from falls, consider another bag.

I'm pretty rough with my cameras, I usually don't carry bag if I can get away with it, which means just me and my camera. A lot of times though, my camera gets bumped into walls or other things when I'm turning around quickly or just not paying attention. I also tend to have my camera sitting on the passengar seat and a few times I've slammed on the brakes and it's gone flying and now it's got some dings. I looked into the rubberized armor but wasn't really feeling it, then I found this flex sleeve. It has snaps so you can get your camera out fast and it can attach to your belt loop so you dont have to put it around. It's super light weight and it protects my camera really well from those little bumps and dings. I wish i had gotten this earlier! absolutely perfect if you don't want to carry a case but still protect your camera.

Just got a new Canon 60D and this flexible neoprene case would work great but it just doesn't fit over the 60D camera body. The 18-135mm lenses just fits but the body doesn't let the case close. So I will have to return it. I had gathered from all the prior reviews that it might be tight but actually the body must be very different from the Canon T1 and T2 series. Yes, the neoprene is thin but I think it would have done the job I wanted if it just fit right.

This is a great product if you want a sleek protective covering for your camera. I use it when I carry my camera in my messenger bag and don't want to carry my alternate case. It also serves well to protect the lcd screen while walking with the camera around my neck. I have a Canon T2i with a Tamron 18-270mm lens and it fits tightly but not too tight. Neoprene is pretty thin but does offer some protection to bumps. I would recommend this as a secondary case for your camera.

Fits perfectly as if its made personalized for my SLR camera. If you have a Nikon D90 and a 18-200mm lens or know its dimensions, Then this is a nice and perfect camera case for you. Instead of laying your precious SLR anywhere at home or outdoor barenaked when not in use this is very helpful in dust, dirt, spills, mild bumps and scratch protection. This is a neoprene as it clearly says, dont expect high protection from it like impact, This is not the case you want to strap in your belt and go walking, this is not a drop proof! Or puting your precious SLR camera in it and just throwing it in your backseat thinking its alright. Buy this and get a more sturdy, hard case that you can use for travel with high impact protection and your set! My camera with this on can even fit in my Camera backpack for travel without modifying the places of its contents. Im satisfied with this product and I highly recommend this product for comfort and additional protection for your camera.

I purchased this case for my Canon T1i. It fits my Camera really snug, even with the added 17-85mm lens, and that is great. It has the same type of neoprene that other cases have, and it is thin. It is NOT meant for total protection, but rather a nice guard over your exposed camera.

It's a good way to protect your camera, toss it in your bag (not literally) and go, without having so much weight and bulk added.

As many have mentioned, the belt loop is NOT for holding your camera. and the manufacturer clearly states that. It is meant to just attach to your belt while you are using your camera.

I carry a messenger bag to work every day, and wanted to carry my dSLR without putting it at risk from the other items in the bag. When I first picked up this insert, I was carrying a Canon Rebel XTi (400D) and have since upgraded to a Canon 60D. Because it's stretchy neoprene, this cover fits both cameras even with my somewhat bulky 24-105mm lens attached. The lens and camera body are both fully covered and protected with this cover, and it's easy to remove when I'm ready to take the camera out and use it. With the cover on my camera, I don't have any worries about tucking it in my bag with a can of soda and a lunch container (as long as they're both well sealed) and other odds and ends.

As other reviewers stated, it's not water proof, and the "belt attachement" on the bottom isn't strong enough to attach to a belt while the cover is on the camera, but I wasn't looking for either of those features, so I'm not deducting anything for the rating. - Canon - Neoprene - Dslr Case - Protection'

Sharpening Steel

This steel is very nice for the price. The length is fine for nearly any knife and the material itself is of a suitable hardness for correcting cutting edges. The handle is easy to hold, and it has a nice heft and balance. Exactly what I would expect from a Henckels product.

Now, a brief clarification: A steel will absolutely not "sharpen" your knife. It doesn't have a grit so much as the steel used is much harder than the knife. (If you have a dull edge you can run it along the finest steel for hours and not get a sharper cutting edge.) What it does do is simply correct the angle of the knife's edge that tends to get bent to either side during normal use. When you run the leading edge of the knife down the steel in the correct manner, a sharp edge should go back to the appropriate angle. If you have a dull blade, you need to hone a new edge. (For that you may consider using a professional sharpening service. this can be a little tough for a novice...sorry!) Once that is done, use your steel each and every time you pull your knives from their home to keep the edge at peak usability.

Keep in mind that you could sharpen a spoon to a razors edge, it just won't keep it for long. Better knives hold an edge for much longer due to the quality of the materials and their hardness. Few of us need an exquisitely expensive set of knives. Just buy a nice set for a good price and keep on using a good steel!

I have Henckels knife which I enjoy using.

I did try other brand's sharpening tool, but it just wasn't as good as original Hanckels. This thing is made in Germany!

Since I paid good sum of money for my knives, it was worth extra money to buy good sharpner. And this really is great price. I saw similar Henckels sharpner at Target for $25.

I am very happy.

It is what it says it is and is great for putting that finished edge on knives. About 6 or 7 passes on each side keeps my wifes favorite kitchen knife razor keen. Also used it on my pocket knife, cuts through boxes like butter.

I recently took a cooking class where I learned how to use a sharpening steel and how effective they are in putting a good edge on you knives. (a few light strokes on each side of the blade at a 20 degree angle is all it takes) My wife can't believe how sharp our knives are now. This was an excellent steel with a molded handle. While not a pretty as the "matched set" this is very functional and our knives don't even notice the molded handle either. I ended up buying another steel for my daughter and now she has sharp knives as well.

This product will not sharpen dull knives, but it will keep sharp knives in great cutting condition much longer. I did not know anything about this type of product before my purchase, but research (and now experience) has shown me that a sharpening steel will remove the burs to keep the cutting edge straight and smooth so the sharpness of the blade does what it does. I notice a big difference if I use my knives a few times without using this product, and then after a few swipes on both sides of the blade they are like new again.

I got this brand since it was a gold box item for me, but I'd recommend any sharpening steel that is at a good price. I can't imagine you'd see much difference in results from different brands, the knives are what really matter.

I've already went through my kitchen knives and touched them all up with a nice edge. This is a fine quality steel. I owned a professional steel already, but it was quite old and I really like the balance of this one better!

How much can you say about a piece like this?

It's a nice size (shorter than most I've used).

It's easy to handle, and my knives (Victorinox Cutlery 6-Inch Chef's Knife, Black Fibrox Handle and Victorinox Fibrox 8-Inch Chef's Knife ) are ready to cut after a quick honing.

For sharpening, I love this tool (and so does Cook's Illustrated):

AccuSharp 001 Knife Sharpener

Have used it over a year. Like the hanging loop. I sharpen with a Tormec wet grinder, then do a final touch-up with this steel. This steel has micro grooves, so a light touch works best. My old Remington 10" carving knife maintains a razor edge with this steel between uses. A final pass with the Global diamond rod ensures a very fine edge. And the price is right.'

Ipod Fm Transmitter - ipod car kit, iphone fm transmitter

Over the years I've been through about 15 FM transmitters. This one is by far the best quality I've had. You may hear a little high pitched noise at high volumes, but that is a small price to pay for the amazing amount of clarity provided. The remote control is pretty flimsy and has to be held almost directly next to it to work but that's not the reason I purchased it so I was hardly disappointed. I really don't think you'll find a better product on the market. LCD Screen Display,New FM Transmitter/Car charger/Holder/Car Mount For all iP...

I bought this to replace my Griffin iTrip after it shorted out. I was worried about buying a different brand (or a non-brand, as a case seems to be), since the Griffin is able to be set to international frequencies (and I was never able to receive a clear signal without setting it below 88.1).

So far, however, the signal has been A LOT clearer at 88.1 than it ever was on my old transmitter. I live in Phoenix and I've had no trouble with signal interruptions so far; I even get a clear sound in parking garages and around strongly broadcast signals, like in shopping center parking lots. The sound quality is also pretty decent for an FM transmitter, especially one that cost less than $20 to buy and ship. I also love the cradle and the flexible neck that allows me to dock my iPod within easy reach.

The remote seems to be a bust, but I don't really care as I can't see a reason to use a remote when my iPod is docked right in front of me. Your mileage may vary, I suppose. And for all I know this might short out in a few months just like my Griffin did, but I'm holding out hope!

I obviously knew that for 11 bucks SOMETHING would be wrong with it. i read some positive reviews, and decided to give it a shot. BAD idea. It did however ship fast. I opened the box, and was surprised that the product actually seemed like decent quality. so i run to my car, and plug in the transmitter. First off..this thing is huge. It kind of gets in the way of the shift stick of the car. I plug in the transmitter, and it doesn't turn on. I had to push it in hard to finally turn on. I plug in my iPod, and the quality actually surprised me. Two minutes later..the transmitter just falls. I guess its just too heavy. I wasn't even driving, and the transmitter tilted. After driving for a couple of minutes, it is obvious the thing does NOT stay in place. Not only that, but it also broke my outlet!!!! Now i have to fix it and it cost more to fix it than what i spent on this worthless fm transmitter.

Audio is good, but it has MANY MANY flaws!!! i dont even know if i can get a refund now. stay away from this product and purchase a different one!!!

A great product. My other adapter was stolen and I didn't want to miss my favorite tunes so I purchased this to replace it. Wow! This is much better anyway. Easy to use, even includes a remote if that is important to you. Stays on station, doesn't drift like my previous one. i love it!

I like this device:

Nice:

- Cheap FM Transmitter

- Phone Charger

- Phone Holder

- Can be used with other devices

- Tested on iPhone 4 - like a charm

- and best of all, all at the same time - yes, you can charge and listen to music at the same time!

Cons:

-The stick to hold it is short, on my 95 camry, it had hard time using it and its pushing against my dashboard

- shakes a lot while driving

- seems to inter fer with Google maps GPS - the maps work, but the orientations easily gets out of sync, and keeps saying move the device in the figure (8) motion

- i used it with MapQuest - MapQuest did not seem to interfere - so not sure if its Google Maps, or the iPhone

- FM Transmitter is weak - it works, but not loud, and does not have much power. While driving during the city, about 90% of the time its clear, and maybe 10% or so not clear (has static) - so its not bad, unless you like your music flawless

- I dont think the holder will last - it looks cheap - but so far its holding, lets see for how long

- I think this is an iPhone issue, but I cannot hear the calls on the speaker - so its problematic if you need to remove it from the holder each time

- With a case on the iPhone4, its fit is tight in the holder

Trick to use it to charge and listen at the same time:

- Do not use the extra cable from the iPhone to the device, only use the charge cable!

- place the music on speaker mode, the connect the charge cable - and you are done - it charges AND music works from the same cable!

If you keep the extra cable on the top, the you wont hear a thing!

Why 4 star:

- static FM, not very loud voice

- cannot hear the calls on FM while driving (maybe an iPhone issue, not the device issue)

- cheap holder and stick very short

I have looked everywhere and tried all sorts of music transmitting solutions for my iPhone in my car. All have been disappointing. But this one works very well for my needs! It holds and charges my phone and the reception quality is great! i don't use the remote, but that isn't something that would keep me from buying it. I do wish the charging cord on it was longer, so that I could use it while talking on the phone, otherwise, I have no other complaints. It holds my phone steady in the holder and the music sounds great! - Fm Transmitter - Ipod Car Kit - Ipod Accessories - Iphone Fm Transmitter'
