Timex Expedition Watch - casual watch, timex men

I have owned several of these watches, currently have and are using two of them. I have abused them to no end and the only thing that seems to do them in is when the battery finally gives out. (I have had mixed luck with keeping them working AFTER replacing the battery. Could be the technical abilities on my end...) I am active outdoors and have worn my watch: horseback riding (daily), swimming, ran it through the wash cycle, dropped it, and struck the doorjamb with my wrist/watch face as I was walking through it. These watches are a classic style with Timex quality--this model truly "takes a licking and keeps on ticking" and I highly recommend it for anyone with an active lifestyle. Timex Men's T20461 Easy Reader Expansion Band Watch

The watch sweats when exposed to moisture. It is definitely not waterproof or even water resistent to 50ft. Take a walk in the fog and you can bring the experience back home inside the watch. I guess this can be romantic for some people. Mine actually rusted inside. I even opened it whenever it fogged up, dried it out for a couple days, cleaned the sealing surfaces etc....

The other thing is the band is really poor quality. It dents very easily. Bump your arm and it will be dented. And I'm not talking about pounding nails in with the band. Just brush up against a door and its dented.

I was real disappointed. The watch isn't even a 6 months old. Of course I can't find the 1"x1" warrantee card I stapled my reciept onto. I'd buy another model or brand.

It's too bad because I really liked the watch.

I ordered the timex easy reader for my 85 year old dad. It is easy to read, a perfect size for his wrist (not too bulky) and was an excellent bargain at just about half the cost of retail at the closest large "discount" department store. My dad has trouble putting on a buckle type band- I searched several drugstores for a wristwatch with an expansion band, but no store had any in stock. I checked amazon.com, they had the timex easy reader in stock, and it was shipped out to me the next day. My dad is very happy with this wristwatch.

Only gave it 4 stars as nothing is perfect, true for anything.

Bought this from Wally World on Black Friday for a nice $21, it's been a good watch and has been worn for roughly fifty hours now (Santa brought it on christmas). Keeps time well, came with a good battery. I will replace it with a fresh Energizer Lithium, as most watches come with cheap batteries in them.

Face is bold and is very distinct. Complicated watches are ugly watches to me. The INDIGLO works beautifully and is very bright, but not blinding.

Most expandable bands pinch my arm and hairs, but the one included is very comfortable, even wearing for 16 hours straight.

Overall, a very good watch and time will tell how much abuse it will stand up to. Will update in a few months.

Yes, I am old, but that is not why I brought it. I just want the time and date, period. I don't want to push buttons wondering if it's the time on than darn stop watch thing I never figured how to shut off. I am a janitor, it's rugged, I have had floor stripper, bleach, and other industrial chemicals on it, it works. It's easy on the eyes, and does what a watch is supposed to, tell time. Sitting in the pharmacy waiting for my meds, the guy next to doesn't have to ask for the time, he can see it, now that's good. I work the night-shift, the night lite is easy to use, see. My grand baby (my angel) was teething, she likes the watch, I gave it to her, and she dropped it. It hit the concrete floor in the super store; mild crack in the crystal, but it took a beating, and still ticks. Yeah, there are some slight scratches, but hey, it's a watch. If you want a Rolex on a budget, this isn't it. It's a clean piece, honest, timeless, and a good "just because" gift for your pa, or grand dad, every time they look it at it, they will think of you. So if you're looking for a good old school easy watch you might want to consider this Timex.

Timex Men's Easy Reader watch. Wanted a simple digital watch w/o stopwatch, military time, lap timer or alarm. Couldn't find one--are you listening Timex? As a senior, wanted a simple, readable watch. Went back to a clock face watch showing time, day and date. Perfect, and affordable.

The inexpensive Timex watch, with date, and illumination is as it was advertised. The only thing I don't like is the stretch metal band that goes around my wrist. It takes, for me some getting used to. - Casual Watch - Metal Banded - Indiglo - Timex Men'

Usb Flash Drive - 16gb, flash drive

I also own the 8 and 32 and 64GB voyager, all are every bit as reliable as the 16GB drive.

Over the course of the last 8 years I've had a number of USB drives. Iomega, Corsair, Apacer, PNY, Sony and SanDisk. I've upgraded each time I felt the storage increase justified the cost. I work in information technology so they are tools more than toys, anyway on to the review. This 16GB drive is massive and well worth the money. I've used this flash drive in all sorts of systems and also have a .bat file that allows me to sync my data. I also keep an encrypted container on the drive, my point? Whether you are transferring data, encrypting data, saving data, or syncing data it works quite well. I also use some U3 applications like Firefox portable which allows you to run the browser from your flash drive and keep personal info off the local computer. Once again the drive works flawlessly.

I do agree that the protective rubber coating around the drive can make it somewhat difficult to plug in multiple USB devices, but Corsair does provide a USB cable extension which helps solves the problem. Another excellent feature is that this is one of the few USB drives that the cap stays on very tight. I've been asked by a couple of people what I use for encrypting my flash drive. The best software I've come across is called True Crypt (just Google it, it's an org site) it's a free open-source disk encryption software for Windows Vista/XP, Mac OS X, and Linux.

*******Important note on the 64GB Voyager*******

The 64 GB Voyager is 9 CM long without the cap and 2.7CM wide.

The 8, 16 and 32GB Voyagers are 6.5 CM without the cap and 2.3CM wide.

While it doesn't sound like a big difference it is when you're expecting them to be the same size.

I uploaded a picture in the product gallery so the size difference could be seen.

Update August 2009

An impressive 16GB flash drive and with zero issues since purchasing it. Corsair Flash Voyager 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive CMFUSB2.0-16GB

I purchased this drive from Amazon recently and tested it under both Mac OS X Tiger and Windows ME. In both cases, I saw excellent read speed but slow, slow write speed (1 MB/s to 1.4 MB/s, an order of magnitude lower than advertized). I was very disappointed at the poor performance to say the least.

Before returning the drive, I decided to test it under Windows XP. Wow, what a difference. The same drive, under Windows XP, is a speed demon. I am now satisfied that the drive behaves much more closely to it's advertized specs. For read speed, I am seeing something in the area of 30 MB/s, which is excellent. For write speed I am seeing roughly 7 MB/s. This is a little slower than advertized, but nonetheless, an excellent speed.

So, this is a great memory stick as long as you are using it under Windows XP (don't have Vista so can't comment, but I expect that performance under Vista would be similar). For earlier versions of Windows (9x and ME) though, be forewarned. Write performance is not good. Similarly, for Mac OS X Tiger be forewarned. BTW, for Mac OS X, I did try formatting the stick for HFS+ (the native Mac OS X format), but it made only a marginal difference.

I have this drive and last night I washed it in a pair of jeans, then unknowingly dried it. I figured it was toast for sure, but after plugging it in, it came up perfectly along with all my data. This thing can take a beating.

Apple Macbook Pro

The Macbook reports 14.99Gb of (actualy, useable) free space.

Copied 14.41Gb of data from the harddisk to the usb drive, while the Macbook was doing nothing else. The data was made up of mostly about video (about 30 files), with half a dozen small text files.

It took 33 minutes to write the data, which equals 0.44Gb/minute or 7.5Mb/second write speed.

It took about 10 minutes to copy the data back from the USB pen drive to the harddisk, which equals 1.44Gb/minute or 24Mb/second read speed.

The dimensions mentioned on Amazon are for the packaging not the actual pen drive.

The drive is the typical size for a usb pen drive. About 1.5 inches long, half and inch wide and quarter of an inch deep. Sizes are just guestimates, I did't use a ruler.

The rubber casing has a nice tactile feel to it. My only minor complaint, which almost every pen drive suffers from, is that although the (rubber) cap fits snug and securely onto the usb plug, I'm still not convinced it wouldn't wobble off when the drive is in my pocket. Ideally, I'd like the cap to screw on, but hey ho. It doesn't look like it is *likely* to come off.

I'm very happy so far, especially as I tested the write speed to be 18MB/S which is 50% faster than claimed. The read speed was the claimed 31MB/S.

Came with USB extension lead and disk with the encryption software on. My last flash stick was a Sandisk with 3U - it always gave quite a wait to boot up 3U so I don't think I'm going to miss it - perhaps will miss the auto backup software. The TrueCrypt encryption software that comes with the Voyager is freeware - seems very good and the latest version was on the mini-CD that came with it along with the Windows-98 driver.

My laptop has recessed USB slots and I could plug the device in no problem, but it does prevent use of the slot next to it unless the extension cable is used. I like the rubber case and I don't think this is going to be a big issue.

It seems the XP driver installs itself (no disk needed) and according to the device settings write caching is disabled which it says makes it safe to remove the device without first having to shut down the device - very nice.

Overall very happy.

The producto is awesome!!! All this space at a very reasonable size of flash drive. The rubber cover protects from almost any human accident.

The only problem (Corsair isn't accountable) is the limit of file size you can write into flash driver (2GB). However, this is a FAT32 filesystem limit, not a Flash drive itself limitation.

An option is to convert the filesystem to NTFS but, if you do that, you won't be able to use this flash drive with Mac or Linux. I think this will be a limitation of this kind of huge flash drives for a long time. - Thumb Drive - 16gb - Corsair - Flash Drive'

Wrongly Canceled Shows - sci fi tv series, science fiction

A/N: I will not critique "Heroes", nor try to compare that show with this one!

That said, "The 4400." is one of those rare sci-fi shows that not only grabs you with it's cool mythology, but also keeps you interested by investing in the charaters and how they are adapting to the near impossible experience of 4400 people being abducted over the eriod of 60 years and all of the sudden reappearing on a beach one fateful night.

In a brief overvew, the shows focuses on two government agents (Tom and Diana) and how they must handle the above mentioned event, from "freak of the week" events to harboring 4400's themselves. The show, like many other reviewers have noted, flew too low under the radar and never got the audience it deserved.

With that sid, here's an oveview of the seasons:

Season 1: a little short b/c the show was supposed to be a mini-series. It sets up the basic mythology of the show, and gets the audience ready for the task of living with these 4400 abductees/returnees. 4/5 (becuase its short)

Season 2: The show really takes off with this season. The storyline is et up nicely, with some significant plot development (ripple effects, government conspiracies, and future predictions, too wet your curiosity). The cast is amazing, and you really get to see each main character's lives fleshed out. 5/5

Season 3: This season falls a little short from the awesome dynamics of S2. The main stroyline is drawn on, and the progression of the overall story is slowed. The big issue: promicin! But, still the season is worth a watch. 3/5

Season 4: This season goes back to the characterization and plot development of S2, and really begins to discuss the effects of promicin and how it will affect the lives of 4400's and on-4400s. The cast is exceptional this season, and all the development we've seen from some characters for the last 3 seasons really reaches it peak. 5/5

The show was unfortunately cancelled, and for those who watch the show i couldn't have come at a worse time, as the S4 cliffhanger will leave you wondering "what next?"

The show is definately worth your while if you ahve not seen the show previously, or wrote it off as another "sci-fi show"

p.s.--no comment on the extras, as they are the same from the individual dvd seasons, except for the "ghost" season disc, which is a nice present to loyal fans! The 4400: The Complete Series

The 4400 was, in my opinion, one of the best shows ever on television. It had a fantastic cast and wonderful plot lines and plot twists. If you don't know anything about the series, it's basically about 4400 who went missing and returned (all at once) with new and interesting abilities. From there, the story changes SO much. Each season always ends with a huge reveal and a big game changer for the next season and overall scope of the series.

In my opinion, the second and fourth seasons were the strongest, followed by the first season (which was only a mini-series) and then the third season, which was my least favorite. With this set, every season is included and I suggest you watch them all in order because each episode builds on the last.

Although some of the plot lines in the third season were not my favorite, it was still much stronger than many other shows out there. The 4400 may be rooted in science-fiction, but it's so much deeper and more character oriented.

If you haven't seen this series, or are just hearing about it, please give it a try and buy this set. I promise you it will not disappoint. Some of the reviews say that the finale is a let down because it ends with a cliff-hanger. While that may be true in part, the series finale was actually one of the most exciting and interesting episodes of the whole series and really summed things up nicely, while still leaving questions open to the imagination.

If you already have the seasons on DVD and are wondering about getting this for the extras, it's really up to you. The only disappointment is that the discs are exactly the same as the ones from the previous sets. There is nothing altered about them- the menus, and even disc graphics have not changed at all. It's in a nice box and the bonus disc has some nice extras, but it comes down to if the extras are worth the price of the whole series. While different disc graphics and menus would have been nice, I cannot take off a 1/2 a star because the series itself is far too good. Give it a try!

Being one of those (unfortunately) rare viewers of "The 4400", I was struck with a sense of deja vu when watching this series - I had seen something very similar before. But the odd thing was, as I had caught the series on DVD, that I had seen it before on something that had come after - "Heroes". While that show was a huge hit, "The 4400" lingered in somewhat obscurity. Both dealt with ordinary humans with extraordinary abilities. But where genetics came into play with "Heroes", it was abduction that gave "The 4400" their powers. This was a great series with fun ideas - some, unfortunately never truly realized - whether the "ripples" of season one, or the series cliffhanger where the powers go further than ever before. This is one of those shows that, if you're a fan, it's kind of like you're in on a secret, because it never got the attention it deserved.

Unfortnately, season three was the killer. While it had its decent spots, it was seriously lacking as far as advancing the plot and was an obvious attempt at a season 4. They got the season 4 and started out just like season 3, but then I guess they found out they were being canceled and got back on track. I wish they had just been a bit smarter, because this was honestly one of my all time favorite television shows. A season five with an actual story wrap-up would have been awesome, or even make a full feature film (or mini-series) to close it up.

When season four ends, you might shed a tear because you will never know what happens. It's "ending" was not satisfactory to me because I had so many things I wanted to see a resolution to. But all complaints aside, this is worth watching.

On a side note, if you like this, you might want to check out "Taken" which is an alien abduction show (mini series) that was just fantastic (Also stars Joel Gretsch)! - Wrongly Canceled Shows - The 4400 - Sci Fi Tv Series - Science Fiction'

Inflatable Kayaks - kayak, inflatable kayak

I tried out the 330 deluxe for the first time today and was impressed. I went to a local lake and set up on the beach. No one had a clue as I walked up with this bag what I was up to, as they were swimming. 7 or 8 minutes later, a kayak magically appears! That was fun in itself. It was easy to set up with the foot pump. It took 35 to 40 pumps to fill each of the 3 chambers, and no air escapes from the one way valves AT ALL. Then it's just a couple of pumps each for the spray shields, and 4 to 5 pumps for each of the 2 seat chambers, also with one way valves, and your ready to fish. I test drove in the shallows for 3 or 4 minutes to get a feel for the kayak, which was the first time for me in any kayak, and I was off to the nearest patch of lilly pads, and within 10 minutes caught my first pickerel, and then bass out of my new sea eagle. Sure beats car topping a canoe. Then after 2 hrs., back to the beach, unscrew the valves, roll it up like a sleeping bag, put it in the duffle, and back in the pick-up. The deluxe seats are extremely confortable, very firm and support your back better than most office chairs, let alone canoe seats.

This is a great way to fish any where you please, just on a whim. With no planning. Thats the only way to fish.

Sincerely, Mark S Sea Eagle 330 Inflatable Kayak with Deluxe Package

I cannot say enough good things about this kayak. I have owned mine since 2000 when I purchased it while living in Atlanta, GA. Inflation is simple, the bag properly stores everything you need, and the fit and finish of the boat are superb. In its time I have taken my Sea Eagle on calm lakes and rivers in the south numerous times without incident, but I have also tested it a fair amount. We have run it on Section III of the Chattooga in SC including Bull Sluice and also on the Nantahala including the Falls. While this is not the most demanding whitewater out there it is class II and III and I want to back up the mfr. claims that this boat can handle this water. We have also had it in the Atlantic Ocean numerous times and it's a ton of fun to ride waves and crash if you're not careful. We now live in Indianapolis and take it on the White River during the warm months and it is holding up just fine. I can recommend that if you are interested in this boat to look into alternative paddles, as my personal kayak paddle does a much better job for me than the included paddles. We also installed the skeg on the underside of the boat and have found that this improves the yaw of the boat considerably, although it is not a make or break addition. I hope this review helps anyone considering investing in one of these boats. Enjoy the water!

Got one of these and tried it down Stanislaus River (Calif) with my son. The raft actually did pretty well in a Class 1-2 river. The built-in skegs (2 of them) helps to stabilize the boat. I have 2 complaints about the supplied inflatable seats. First of all, they have the pool toy inflation valves (not one way Boston valves) so it's a real struggle to inflate them . Secondly, the seats can hardly provide any back support. Another thing about this kayak is that it can barely fit 2 people--in my case, me (5'7") and my 10 year old son and we already feel pretty crammed. There is no way to fit 2 adults weighing 500 lbs.

1. The boat is much heavier than advertised. Amazon says 29 lbs shipping weight. Sea Eagle officially says 26 lbs. I put it on a scale with all parts (boat, paddles, pump) inside the duffle bag and it's 38 lbs. This makes it very difficult to backpack or hike in to locations not accessible via car (which was my purpose in purchasing).

2. The boat is perfect for certain purposes: floating in calm lakes, streams, etc. Our test run was on the choppy Chesapeake bay in 1 ft waves and 20 mph winds. It handled adequately. In such conditions, the boat is difficult to point, but it's really not meant for this.

2. It fits 2 people and gear for an outing comfortably.

3. The seats require full inflation and good posture. The seat backs are fairly useless.

4. Inflation and deflation is very easy. It takes appx. 10 minutes to put together and take apart.

5. The material is quite strong. You don't really have to worry about rips and tears unless you're running serious rapids -- which you shouldn't be doing anyways in this boat.

6. Comes with a patch kit.

Overall, a solid little boat for relaxed, fun purposes. If you want to do any serious whitewater, you should look elsewhere.

This is our first inflatable kayak. It is quick to inflate, takes less than 10 minutes, & quicker to pack up. Seats & spray guards are a little tricky because of the valves though, you have to pinch it at the base & plug it quickly, but otherwise it's a cinch! We fit fine going tandem, my husband's 6' & I'm 5'5", he likes it better without the rear seat. We've taken the kayak out 8 x so far, mostly to Huntington Harbor & Anaheim Bay. We've gotten good at our synchronicity & can go pretty fast when we want to! We're in Southern California so no rivers nearby but are looking forward to catching some waves in the summer. Feels very durable, but make sure you screw the Boston valves on tightly. The 2nd time we took it out, we didn't realize it right away but the right side was deflating, we were about a 1/2 mile out when paddling & keeping it straight had seemed to get harder & harder, I thought we were in a current or something until I noticed the fold on the right side. We turned around to head back but it was very hard to paddle fighting with the strong pull to the right, but we made it & we're alive to laugh about it now! My fault, I didn't tighten it well enough. Lesson learned. Have fun!

6/4/10 Update, took my 50 lb Aussie Shepherd, unclipped claws & all, on a 2 hour tour in the harbor. Just laid a towel on a board, which she didn't stay on. She was all over the place, she's pretty excitable & not a water dog. Not a single mark or scratch on the kayak though!

10/01/10 Got another SE 330, they changed the pinch valves to Boston valves. Excellent improvement!

8/11 Took these to Kern River for whitewater, extreme thrills! Up to class 3 rapids from upper Powerhouse to Lake Isabella. Wear good life jackets & tie down your seats. Ocean kayaking is great, relaxing once you get past the waves. You can get pretty close to dolphins. Catching waves is fun but I always seem to end up sideways. I still take my dog kayaking in the harbor, she absolutely loves it & can't wait to hop in! I don't bother putting anything on the floor anymore. Overall I've probably had over 100 uses by now & had 2 small repairs, definitely got my monies worth! - Inflatable Kayak - Boat - Sea Eagle - Kayak'

Staple Remover - nail pullers, staple remover

I have been a carpenter and woodworker over 30 years. Ive always used 8" crescent brand end cutters for nail removal. Along with a small sharp cat claw type pry bar and hammer, I can usually extract any nail I need to. I thought this tool would serve to replace both the pry bar and end nippers that I almost always have in my pouch or apron. I tried it for 2 days on a siding replacement job. It did not even come close to the pulling power of the end nippers.

I did not realize from the pictures that it lacks any biting capacity, so cannot grip a nail well enough to pull it out. Even when you do get a sufficient grip, the fulcrum is usually too far from the nail to pull it out without excessive exertion.

The one thing it is useful for is backing out screws that have missed the substrate, and spin freely. The hollow of the plier end allows surrounding the screw head and applying gentle removal pressure while spinning the screw in reverse with the drill/driver.

I appreciate the effort that went into the design of the tool, and it appears to be well made, but it just doesn't perform well enough to justify the space and weight it takes up in my pouch or apron. Nail Jack Tools 85NH 8-1/2-Inch Nail Hunter

I got this tool to remove hundreds of staples for a new carpet job. If you point the tips of this tool straight down on the embedded staple, then squeeze the handles, you can grab the staple then rock down the handles and Wow! Job done. Love it.

Great product...works exactly as advertised. You can pull nails from the back of your trim molding easily and fast with this tool. This will enable you to re-use door, window, baseboard and crown molding saving you time and money. I give this tool an A+.

Everyone makes mistakes, and it sure is great to have just the right tool to fix them! I managed to put an Ikea bookshelf together upside down (grrrrrrrrr), and only discovered this AFTER attaching the backing with 49 small nails. I struggled with my hammer's claw for half an hour and managed to extract 2 nails, and was ready to throw the whole thing into the alley. I did a little searching on the Internet and found the Nail Hunter, which I had overnighted with my Amazon Prime membership. Voila! I had all of the nails pulled out and the shelf put to rights in very short order. I was able to do this without damaging the shelf or the nails. Everyone should have one of these things in their toolbox!

We are redoing a old kitchen into a laundry room. When we were tearing it apart there were staples all over. My husband spent hours removing the staples on such a small area. I looked on the internet thinking there had to be something out there that was used for this kind of work. I watched the video online and ordered the Nail Hunter. Best tool ever, my husband was very happy. He removed all the staples and some nails in such a short time. I would recommend this handy tool to anyone. I am also ordering another one for my son in-law for Christmas.

This thing doesn't look like much but it is by far the best nail extractor I have ever seen. It's all in the wedge behind the jaws which allows you to pry against the wood surface and the raised handles which don't contact the wood surface when the tool is rotated. A simple but ingenious concept.

I used the tool today, for the first serious work need, pulling finishing nails out of very old 3/4" wood paneling that I'm tearing off of a wall. Some of the nails are pretty stubborn and won't come out easily. The nail hunter wasn't up to the task. One of the points broke off of the jaw as I was squeezing the grip and trying to lever the nail out. I have the nail hunter's big brother, a nail jack too, bought at the same time. It didn't break, but it doesn't work very well for pulling those nails either. It's unfortunate that I'm a week or so beyond the Amazon 30 day return period... :(

I guess that the nail hunter is good for pulling staples and maybe nails with big heads.

So, while the nail jack/hunter looked like good ideas, I'm back to using the shark, Shark Corp 21-2225 10-Inch Prybar and Nail Puller which works as well as anything I've ever found for tough nail pulling jobs like this, with a lot less effort. - Nail Pullers - Staple Remover'

Battery 12v 18ah - barbie jeep, powerwheels

Based on the other review for this product, I purchased this item for my daughter's Barbie Jeep and let me say right now that it fits absolutely perfect in the Jeep. The only thing you need to do to make this work is to liberate the connector out of the old battery and hook it up to the new one with some crimp-on automotive type connectors. Getting the old connector isn't a particularly easy task since the wires are potted in with some type of goo, but the rest is a cinch. The one thing I did notice after getting it installed was that the charged voltage hovered around 13.0 V while the OEM battery was much closer to 13.5V charged. This did not seem to have any effect on the longevity though, she drove and drove the Jeep and it does last seemingly forever. If you are mechanically inclined and interested in doing this mod, there's a great write up on it at modifiedpowerwheels.com Don't forget to purchase and install a fuse into the line or you could create a hazard. If I were to do it over again, I might spring the extra 10 bucks for the 21Ah Powersonic battery - also on Amazon, but let me say that if you do choose this battery you can't beat the bang for the buck. Shoot Digital Cameras - panasonic, lumix

We use this triple hole punch at my office and there have been no complaints to date. The design works well and I have not experienced any occasions where it has failed to punch through the pages inserted. Punches through heavier stock nicely as well. Swingline LightTouch High Capacity Desktop Punch, Adjustable Holes, 20 Sheet Capacity, A7074030

Having used several manual punches over the years made me curious about the Light Touch claim. I tried a staplier claiming light touch and was very pleased with the result and the same applies to this product. The holes are clean and the claim for 20 sheet capacity is accurate. I have used heavy duty punches but they require much force. One could almost do as much punching with one hand. Cost is a consideration but if you are doing any project that requires punching, this is the machine for you. I would direct the person doing periodic punching towards this and leave the electric machines to those big projects. The dies are positionable so multiple punch variations can be had but this is basically a three hole punch.

Bought it for college... So much better than the one it's replacing. The lockdown function makes it much easier to store, and it doesn't take much force to punch through even close to twenty sheets at a time. I also like that it catches and stores the punch-outs.

The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that if you have a packet that's stapled together with more than twenty sheets (say, 50 to 100) - which several of my teachers have liked to give out, the staple has to be removed first. This wouldn't be a problem, except that it's a little challenging to then find a stapler that'll go through that many sheets when it comes time to re-staple the packet. This could be solved with a cutout on one side of the three hole punch. That would also enable three hole punching a paper that's longer than 11 inches (not that there's much demand for that, I just thought it'd clarify what is otherwise a pretty vague sentence). Despite the minor design flaw though, it's a good product and I'd recommend it.

As a freshman in college, I only use my hole punch occasionally. It works very well, and I like that the lever locks down so it takes up less vertical space on my hutch. I also chose it because of the warranty, so even though it cost a few extra bucks, I know I don't need to worry about it breaking for a few years.

I've had it for about a month, and so far it's worked exactly as I have expected. - Point And Shoot - Panasonic - Pocket Camera - Lumix'
