Mp3 Player - car audio, usb

This is a really awesome stereo receiver. These are the pros:

1- The USB slot. I bought a 16GB microSD with elago USD adapter http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002HGFKR8/ref=oss_product and virtually, this little adapter goes into the receiver and integrate with it (you can only see 5mm or 0.2 inches of the adapter sticking out). If you do not know, you think the adapter is part of the receiver.

2- The USB slot cover. Unlike those slots that have a plastic cover which will hang around if you uncover the slot, the cover of the USB slot goes inside the reciever when you uncover the adapter slot. (The Kenwood receivers do not have cover, which I do not like and some other models of pioneer have plastic cover that is annoying)

3- Easy to search and find your favorite mp3 file even if you have 16GB of mp3. Basically you can go through folders and find the folder that you like.

4- Capable of reading AAC files (at least files with .m4a extension): AAC is going to replace mp3. So it is better that your receiver have this feature.

5- Very intuitive navigation of menus: There is only one multi purpose thing that can navigate you intuitively to mostly used functions such as finding files, changing the volume, finding the radio frequency that you want and so on.

6- Very easy to install.

7- Very loud: It is louder than my previus JVC receiver. To check the loudness, I could go up to 50% volume and was afraid of losing my ears so I did not go above 50%.

Until now, I could see two cons:

1- I cannot easily attach or detach the face. You should be careful not to break one end of the face. I guess after some use, I learn how to do it.

2- You cannot have play list.

About installation:

I suggest you to buy the following so that you can install the receiver immediately out of box:

1- wiring harness for your specific type of car (mine was toyota corolla)

2- wire connectors : bought 2$ from walmart

One note about installation: There is a blue wire that you might think whether you should connect it to another blue wire from wiring harness. That blue wire should be connected only if you have installed a sub or something similar that needs to be turned on when you turn on the receiver. So if you don't have such things, you should not connect those wires (just cover them with one wire connector to avoid loose wires). Pioneer DEH-3200UB CD Receiver with iPod Direct Control and USB Input

It's a nice radio, probably a bit better than the 2200UB, but still skimps on a couple of things.

Pros:

- very good sound

- supports latest iPods and USB sticks

Cons:

- doesn't support iPods from even a couple years back. I couldn't use my iPod mini and an older iPod shuffle, the "N/A USB" error shows up on display. That's difficult to understand, should be a minor software effort. Do these things have firmware upgrades? Not clear that they do.

- blue-white wire is used for both Amp turn-on, and Power antenna turn-on. There's no separate "blue wire" which is meant for Power antenna trigger. The documentation around this is very flaky. It says you can do one or the other. This means, a) that your antenna will be up even if you're listening to iPod, and b) if you splice the wire and route it to both functions you could be in trouble if it draws too much current. This was supposed to be easy to install.. how hard could it have been to provide a separate blue wire.

There's no illumination and dimmer wire connections (orange and orange-black), so close those off on the harness coming from the car. There are controls for adjusting those on the unit manually.

For the price its an excellent product from a sound quality point of view, and will make your stock speakers sound great without an expensive amplifier and/or subwoofer.

Awesome CD player. Has all the necessary inputs and outputs to play/control your mp3 player and subwoofers. After installing I noticed a huge difference in sound quality in just my factory installed speakers. Included a remote which comes in hand when controlling the player from outside the car or just changing the volume. Very clean looking receiver.

This stereo is well made and has great sound, but the major flaw is the button size and the volume knob. The buttons are so tiny that it is hard to find/push them. The writing on them is also very tiny and difficult to read. The volume knob is so flush to the unit, that it is extremely difficult to grip. If the edge of the knob wasn't so slick, it may be easier to grip. They should attempt to add a rubber edging to this knob. I would recommend this item simply due to the price, but it does need some improvements.

My older ipod will not work with this unit. It simply gives me a USB N/A when I plug it in. - Usb - Car Audio - Head Unit - Mp3 Player'

thunderbolt screen protector - thunderbolt screen protector

The application process takes patience and attention to the directions and details on the install guide. Basically it uses the same method as professional car window tinters: You dampen the invisible shield on both sides (not the phone screen!) and then position the screen protector onto the Thunderbolt screen. Lightly dab extra moisture from the edges of the screen and use the included squeegee to adhere the protector and remove any bubbles by moving the squeegee from the center to the edges. Dab dry the protector and make any minor adjustments to move the protector so that it lines up with the screen perfectly. The invisible shield will adhere to the screen and is very difficult to remove without the solution provided, which means the shield will not detach from the phone under almost any circumstances. It is so strong it is extremely difficult to scratch (even, say with a key, unless you seriously want to break your screen). The protector comes with a lifetime replacement warranty if it EVER gets scratched or scuffed, which is not easy to do. Smudges from your fingers do not show up on the protector (unless you have seriously greasy fingers). I was surprised that after applying the invisible shield, the screen actually seemed to appear better somehow, perhaps better contrast for a reason that escapes me, but it is a welcome enhancement. If you don't mind taking care during the one-time installation of this shield on your Thunderbolt, I would highly recommend it because you will probably never need to remove it, although you can if you so desire. I give it five out of five stars! ZAGG HTCMOCS invisibleSHIELD for HTC ThunderBolt (Screen) - Skin - Retail Packaging - Clear - Thunderbolt Screen Protector'

Belly Dance Hip Scarf

My black belly dance skirt arrived as predicted ( approx. 3 days ). My purchased item was exactly as the one I saw on screen, only better !

It is gorgeous..the material and gold coins used are of high quality. I am very pleased. Black Chiffon Dangling Gold Coins Belly Dance Hip Scarf

Loved it, taking a belly dance course, made extremely well.

Please remember not everyone is small, some of us are a little heavier than should be, so if you could make them a little longer-wider(larger hips) that would be fantastic!!!

The photo must be on a mannequin or a small person, the description was accurate but not very detailed. Not a lot of coins, but still pretty and will be a good practice scarf, particularly for the money. I am pleased overall. I am a average to small build person and this would look sparse on an average person. I am also pretty short and it is not very long on me (doesn't even go to bottom of rear), so if an average or tall person wore this it would look very short on them. Seller had great service, and it was a great price. Stitching lacking and looks like it will fall apart easily, but for the price and for the one performance I needed a black and gold hip scarf, this is perfect. I hope I am pleasantly surprised and that it lasts. I do like that it is lightweight as it will not slip down while dancing.

Although I already own several bellydance skirts, I felt the need for a black one. This skirt is different than my other skirts. First of all, my other skirts were about $20, and this skirt was only $3.99. The quality is about the same as my other skirts. One thing I like about this skirt is that the ends are tapered, which makes it easier to tie around my waist. I've had no problem with it falling down (as I've had with my other skirts) while I am dancing. I would highly recommend this product.

I was really pleased with the quality and fit of the Belly Dance Skirt. I am full in the waist and hips and was concerned that the skirt might not fit right or flow well. I am happy to say it works as it should and makes my Shimmy Workout so much fun.

I got this for less than a dollar (not including shipping) and I am VERY impressed! I have several belly dancing skirts from Egypt, and this was ALMOST as good quality as those (almost, but not quite). The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because it seems a little flimsier than my other skirts, but considering how much I paid for it, this was one amazing deal that just can't be passed up.

I have just started learning the art of belly dancing, so I just wanted a cheap practice skirt to help me "get into character." This skirt is so much more than I was expecting! I expected a cheap skirt that I could use for practice for about a month before I would have to break out my sewing kit. However, this skirt is much sturdier than I expected! I'm about at the one month mark for using it, and I have yet to get out my needle and thread, and by the looks of the skirt, it will be a while before I have to do anything like that!

My only regret is that I didn't get 2! You won't be sneaking up on anyone wearing this, but don't let that stop you from wearing this to the club. I thought it would also look great with one in front & another in the back over a peasant skirt. Made very well, the beadwork is symmetrical, secure and the coins fall perfectly. Definitely not just for belly dancing!'

Holsters - seidio, htc inspire 4g

After the 1st purchase of this case & holster, I bought a 2nd one. The case has a soft velvet feel (but it's not velvet). Fits my HTC Inpsire perfectly! I actually dropped my phone not long after I purchased the case & holster. The phone fell face down on a sidewalk! I was scared to pick it up but my phone did not have a scratch on it! The case got a little banged up but I was fine with that! I was worried also about the holster scratching the face of the phone when trying to clip it in the holster but so far I have not scratch my phone. The holster has a strong clip that can be worn in the veritcal or horizontal position. Perfect fit for this phone, case & holster are exactly as shown, I received both of them in about 3 days after placing the order, & would recommend. Seidio SURFACE Case and Holster Combo for Use with HTC Inspire 4G/Desire HD (Black)

The Seidio Innocase II & Holster combo is one of the best ideas I've seen in carrying your smart phone. It fit my HTC Inspire perfectly. The phone with case snaps into the holster with authority and is easily removed. I've only had it a few weeks now and this case actually feels like it could outlast my phone. The Innocase II is not cheap, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this product.

The felt inserts are a nice touch. It fits the HTC inspire perfectley. the clip holds the phone securely to my side and gives me peace of mind that its safe. Spring on top is strong and tight, will see how long it stays that way. But very happy with design. Like the thinness as compared to otter box thick case, which they said is not out for sale yet....but can be seen online.

As was said in the previous review, this product is expensive, however, it is certainly worth it. Unlike other most other covers, this one is easy to take apart and put back together - something pretty essential if you have the need to remove a battery or the SD card. I love the holster's belt clip and the fact that it swivels 180 degrees. The locking clip is very nice, too, big enough to flip to get your phone out with relative ease. Above all, the best feature of this combo is that the phone's face is not sticking out where it can be damaged, but is facing in towards the clip. The speakerphone, its mic and the camera are exposed, but that's a lot better than having the phone's face exposed, IMO.

Again, well worth the money. This phone is an investment ($500 or so for a replacement), so 10% of its cost is not unreasonable for a good quality case and holster.

This case combo is perfect for the inspire. It is not too bulky which I hate feel like I have a piece of luggage hanging off my hip. All in all I am happy with it. It was a bit pricey but what case combo isn't?

This case is great and with a combined belt holster you cannot beat it. Been using for a bout 3 weeks now and dropped my phone getting out of a suv, forgot I had it on my lap which so many people have done and that is a pretty far drop and the case protected the phone with ease. The case also offers great grip when holding the phone even if your hands are wet or sweaty.

I travel between the US and Brazil monthly. This is an excellent case. I was a little skepticle about whether the phone would come out on its own, but the clip holding it in is surprisingly strong yet easy to get out when you need it. Only drawback I found was when turned a certain way on the belt, it can pinch a little when bending. Overall: A+

Very happy with this case. There is nothing cheap about it's construction and I expect it to outlast the phone.

Plus +

=====================

All ports and buttons are easily accessed (even power button is not problem and I have large fingers)

Entire screen is accessible, so no problem swiping finger edge to edge

Pleasant feeling non-reflective texture on outside

Super high quality holster with strong clip and spring-loaded latch

Minus -

======================

None*

*Inspire 4G

Now that I learned how to remove case. When done correctly little effort is needed; otherwise an atomic bomb won't get this case off.

1. Place phone face down on a table

2. Push down with your right thumb on the word SEIDIO on the lower part of the case

3. With your left Hand, squeeze the sides of the upper part of the case as close as you can to the "split" or "Crease" bewtween both cases

Electronics Cleaner - eye glasses, dust

I have eyeglasses, am a prosumer photographer, iPad, iPhone and Apple laptop user. These cloths are like non other. These are in a different league compared to a micro fiber cloths you by in bulk at Costo or Home Depot. These are a much finer fiber. I am very particular when it comes to cleaning my eyeglasses and the iKlear microfiber cloths clean the best I have ever seen. They clean very oily glasses with no streaks and they do it almost instantly with no cleaning liquids.

As for iPads and iPhones they are hands down the best I have ever used. And all this with no cleaning liquids....just the cloth! They almost work better with no liquid at all. I do use liquid iKlear cleaner on my MacBook Pro screen before using the cloth because it seems to get spots on it that need a bit of liquid to loosen enough for the cloth to remove.

I could keep going about my great photography lens experiences as well.

If you want the best cleaning cloth available......buy this! Klear Screen iKlear Micro Chamois Kloth

I purchased this cloth along with my iPad and I must say that it is awesome! This cloth will clean up the screen to it's original shine every time, with no water or cleaning solution necessary. At one point I splashed a little coffee on the screen, didn't notice, and it dried up. By just breathing on the spots and a little buffing with this cloth the spots came right off.

With an item as expensive as an iPad ($500+) a $12 investment is peanuts for the piece of mind this cloth gives. I would say that this cloth is an absolute must-have for any iPad owners!

There are many screen cleaner cloths out there (microfiber, disposable, etc.), why spend $10 on this chamois product? Because it works and it lasts very well! I bought my first one of these in 2005 and just recently bought another to use only on my large screen TV.

The Klear Kloth weathers VERY well, the edges of the cloth are stitched so it doesn't fray. It is washable. Show me another product in this class that lasts 6 years and is still going strong.

I use the Klear Chamois Kloth to clean my laptop, my desktop monitor, my GPS screen, phone screens, etc... pretty much anything electronic related that I want to be careful with, I trust this product.

It is a nice large size, so it makes cleaning large computer monitors easy and also works well on large screen TVs.

My philosophy when buying anything is... even a simple cloth to clean screens... if I can spend a bit of time and find the best a high quality product that lasts, and does its job (mainly to clean and not damage my expensive equipment), then it is time well spent.

I've spent the time looking for you.... this is the product I recommend and think that you will want.

The "Klear Screen iKlear Micro Chamois Kloth" is a great product and does everything it says it will do. We introduced my wife's ipad2 to her sisters on Easter and of course no one used the stylus. When we finally got it back, it was fill of fingerprints and smug marks. This presented no problem for this cleaning cloth. After a few wipes the ipad2 screen looked new again.

I highly recommend this product.

This cloth is really great for the iPad. It takes off all the prints and grease with just one swipe. It came with a smaller cloth that is perfect for my husbands iPhone, and two moist travel wipes that I have not tried yet. These were not listed so it was a nice surprise- getting two for the price of one!

This is the best microfiber cloth I've ever used.

You can use it on any screen/glass.

If you own eyeglasses, iphone (or any mobile phone), laptop, desktop screen, TV, etc. and you need

a cloth to wipe off marks buy this. It is very high quality and durable.

We purchased the Klear Screen iKlear Micro Chamois Kloth to clean our new, shiny iPad 2 (which quickly becomes not so shiny with fingerprint smudges after a few hours of use). It came with 2 travel wetwipes, a large microfiber cleaning cloth, and a smaller antimicrobial cleaning cloth. Just using the microfiber cloth is plenty enough to wipe the screen clean of any fingerprints and smudges! Highly recommended to iPad owners as they can collect fingerprints like no other.

Use this for cleaning the screen on my iPad. Works great. Lifts off the dirt and grime with minimal effort. The spray cleaner really isn't necessary. Just breathe on the screen to get a bit of moisture on the screen and this cloth does the rest of the work.

I bought this because Apple says it is best to use to clean my MacBook Pro. I also use iKlear Cleaner Polish for Apple. My computers clean well, lol. Truthfully though, I had a MacBook Pro for 5 years before I bought my new one, and, although this product could not keep it from wear on the trackpad area where your hands rest, it did keep my screen in pristine condition and still going strong - my husband uses that computer now. - Iklear - Dust - Ipad - Eye Glasses'

Portable Lcd Tv - haier tv, kitchen tv

The HD picture is bright and clear, surprisingly good for a TV this small. The Black Levels are better than i expected too. The screen's aspect ratio is a bit odd - it's 16:10 (not 16:9). The screen is matte/non-reflective. The casing has a rubbery soft skin.

The digital tuner in this TV is QAM capable, and i discovered that it stores and remembers the Over-The-Air (OTA) channel map and the Cable channel map separately which is really handy. I can have it connected to TWC cable straight from the wall and watch all my local QAM "HD" cable channels and analog cable channels, then when i take it down to the garage and connect it to my UHF/VHF rooftop antenna lead, i just go into the Channel Menu and change the Antenna setting from CABLE to AIR and the previously stored OTA channel map then becomes available. When i bring it back into the house and connect it back to cable from the wall, i go into the same menu and switch it back to CABLE and all of my QAM channels become available. If you switch sources on virtually all other small to large LCD and Plasma TVs you have to re-scan for the channels every time you change sources and that takes several minutes. But with this TV it's accomplished with just a quick antenna mode setting change. To set up both tuner modes, connect it to a good antenna, put the TV into AIR mode and run a scan the OTA channels. Then for cable TV, connect it to your cable feed from the wall, put the TV into CABLE mode and run a scan for your cable channels.

The Channel menu has a Show/Hide setting where you can select or de-select any of the Cable or OTA channels that have been scanned into the tuner.

You can directly enter the actual channel number using the number keys and the dash (-) key on the remote which takes you directly to that channel (7.1 or 4.2 for instance). Do not hit the Enter key afterwards, that doesn't work for channel changing.

I can disable any unwanted channels from the "Favorites" list by unchecking them in the setup submenu and the TV will not tune to them when i'm hitting the CH+/CH- keys, but if i enter the direct channel number on the remote the TV will tune to that "disabled" channel.

The Picture Settings Menu doesn't have a Color Temperature setting, but i discovered it hiding in the Options Menu so don't be alarmed. It gives the choice of Cool, Normal, or Warm. Normal looks best to me.

The remote is a nice full-featured unit with real buttons, and takes two AAA batteries. Many other little LCD TVs have a cheap flat credit-card type remote where the membrane "buttons" crack over time. It has a Zoom key that gives you the choice of FULL or NORMAL. Both modes are available for all channels so you can always select the correct aspect ratio for SD and HD programming. See the Picture of the Remote to see all the keys it has.

The Antenna signal meter is very basic and is displayed along with other various info when you press the INFO key on the remote. It doesn't have a numeric range or any sort of strength bar - the only information it gives is BAD or NORMAL or GOOD. When a station's reception is NORMAL, there is some digital screen freezing and macroblocking so they should have labeled it FAIR instead.

It has a built-in fold-out easel stand with two lean-back settings, and it also comes with a nice removable tilt-adjustable oval-base pedestal stand that snaps into the back of the TV.

It comes with a special Audio/Video adapter cable with male yellow/red/white RCA jacks on one end, and a 3.5mm male A/V pin connector on the other end to stick into the TV's A/V Input jack (this cable is not listed as being included in the product details on the various websites so it was a nice surprise to find it in the box).

--------------------------------------------------------------

Cons:

The screen resolution is 480p. It is not HD, but it does properly fill the screen when watching an HD program either through the TV's tuner, or through the A/V input from an HD STB.

Screen aspect ratio is actually 16:10, not 16:9 like a normal widescreen TV. Round things look a little oval, and people look a little thinner than they really are (as compared to how they normally look on my various 16:9 Plasmas and LCD TVs). A little irritating.

Does Not have bass or treble settings in the Audio Menu, but the tone is decent and acceptable for a small TV like this.

While i can't get skin tones looking completely accurate, they're close enough for casual viewing and don't look horrible or anything. Different channels look more accurate than others too.

The analog basic cable channels don't look very good, but that's to be expected on an LCD TV. But SD programming on the digital channels looks pretty good. HD channels look very good, except for that 16:10 thing.....

There are no Vesa mounting holes on the back or any other way to attach a wall mounting bracket to this TV.

The included antenna is virtually useless unless you're really close to the broadcast towers so don't expect much out of it. I'm 29 miles from the towers on Mt. Wilson and the antenna can't pick up a thing - and i can see the towers on the mountain. This TV needs to be connected to Cable or a good indoor or roof antenna. Some of the digital channels here in L.A. are on VHF, but most are on UHF. The TV gets a perfect signal from my roof antenna on all channels.

Be very careful when removing the clear plastic film covering the screen. It's kinda tucked under the edge of the bezel and if you just yank it off (like i did) it leaves a bunch of little pieces of film stuck around the edges of the screen. I had to very carefully pick a few dozen pieces out with my needle-tipped tweezers. Haier HLT10 10-Inch Handheld TV, Black - Haier Tv - Portable Digital Tv - Kitchen Tv - Small Lcd Tv'

Fingerprints - screen cleaner, lcd

I bought these cloths a week ago on Amazon. I have used one of them for the last few days. I have cleaned my 35mm lenses and it did a great job. Better yet was the job it did on my iPad. It might be my imagination but I was able to remove fingerprints and smudges from the iPad screen with less rubbing than with my standard lens cleaning cloth. Another plus for this cloth if you are an iPad user is the cloth is the exact size of the screen. When I am not using my iPad I leave the cloth spread over the screen for added protection. I have a fold over case for the iPad and it keeps the cloth in place.

I have not used the cloth enough to require washing so I don't know how it will hold up. With the pack of five I got for $10.00 including shipping, I am not that worried anyway. I gave one of these cloths to a friend who also has an iPad and he really likes it.

I never thought I would be writing about a cleaning cloth, but when you get a good product, I think it is good to share your results with others. New Microfiber Cleaning Cloth $0.80 each, Pack of 5, for electronic devices, cell phones, digital cameras, lens, TVs, iPod, iPad, iPhone, glasses, sunglasses, Blackberry, Nokia, Droid, Xoom, Dell, HP, Sumsang, LG, Cannon, Nikon, and others

These are great lens cleaning cloths. You don't have to press; just a gentle swipe and it avidly vacuums up smudges and particles. It's definitely made from some woven materiel. Has the feel and texture of light suede, but a very fine, spongy micro structure (micro-filaments?). Each generously sized cloth is serged with thread around the edges. I would be reluctant to run the serged edges over a lens; but I'm sure you'd be too. Not a problem; there is ample (I measure 9.5"X6.25") area for cleaning without approaching the edges. It doesn't seem to be coated with silicone rubber like some lens cloths I've used; those have a silky, sticky plastic surface; these feel -- fuzzy. The silicone cloths work great, but these "micro-fiber" cloths are equivalently effective in cleaning lenses. I would unhesitatingly recommend them.

I lost an eye glass cloth I had been using to wipe away finger prints and smudges on my ipad and was looking to replace it. I tried another microfiber cloth which seemed to be made of a thin, rayon/nylon type material designed for use on computer screens. It did nothing but move the fingerprints and smudges around on the screen. Then I bought a 5 pack of these cloths. Wow, what a difference. They were much thicker and larger than I expected. They are almost exactly the size of my iPad screen. Unlike the last cloth I tried, these mop up fingerprints with ease and make my iPad screen look clean and clear with only a few swipes. Definitely a great product at an extremely good price.

I bought these for my Tablet PC which gets hand smudges all over it. Since they were cheap, I figured it was worth a shot since I needed new cloths.

These ones, unfortunately, are the type of cloth that are not a fine weave of silky smooth threads that you see in higher-end cloths used for camera lenses or the type you get from an optometrists office. These cloths are the type that feel and look like a piece of compressed fibrous pulp into a single sheet. (These are very similar to the cloths that Apple provides with their computers. In fact, I think these are -- just without the Apple logo on it. Anyone who has used Apple's cloths knows they're borderline useless.) They work well for the first few wipes of a screen, glasses, etc, but after that the cloth will be more likely to just smear the smudges and grease around rather than pick it up. By this point, a LOT of cleaning solvent will be needed to made a surface smudge free. You'll have to wash these cloths thoroughly often to get them to become effective again.

The more silky "woven" type of cloth picks up smudges and grease a LOT better without the need for as much / if any solvents. These ones here will do in a pinch, especially for their cheap price, but you'll have to keep an additional bottle of cleaning spray on hand if you want to keep your things really clean. They also just don't feel anywhere near as "soft" as most others I've owned and used in the past.

I would not (and have not) used these on my camera equipment because I just don't find them soft enough for the job.

I have been using these for my iPad for the last month. I always keep two tucked inside the top of the iPad screen holder where they hang out when I close then folder.

The two microfiber wipes completely cover the iPad screen.

My iPad is now virtually fingerprint & smudge free!!!

These cloths work great, I've been using them on my iPad for weeks and they're amazing. Even when I have not cleaned the screen after a few hours of heavy use, when it is completely COVERED in greasy fingerprints from my five year old nephew these things make it look like brand new. The screen shines and looks perfect without any solvents at all. Just ordered a second set of five the other day I was so happy with them, im giving them to a friend that has an ipad. For 80 cents or whatever it comes out to for each one you can't lose. - Laptop - Cleaning - Screen Cleaner - Lcd'

Quietcomfort - audio technica, audio

If you are looking for noise-canceling headphones for an MP3 player that deliver excellent sound reproduction at an affordable price, this product should be on your short list for consideration. I have owned noise-canceling headphones by Sony and Altec Lansing, as well as in-ear buds (which by their nature have a noise canceling effect) by Audio Technica and Etymotic Research, costing $200 and more. The earbuds were uncomfortable, difficult to insert and remove, and produced insufficient low-end sound and an uncomfortably sharp high-end. The noise-canceling headphones by Sony (MDR-NC6's - on ear) and Altec Lansing (over the ear) failed to produce acceptable sound in my opinion. Either they suffered from overall low fidelity (Sony MDR's), or mushy bass and poor sound separation (Altec Lansing). The Altec Lansing's were also too large to store and use easily during air travel (I fly a lot and economy of space is a major consideration). I've also owned the lower end Bose (on ear) headphones, but unfortunately found that they lived up to their snarky reputation among audiophiles (artificial sounding, way over-bassed, and a poor value for the money).

So these Audio Technica Quiet Point headphones, newly released this January, have been an extremely pleasant surprise. The sound reproduction is the best I have come across for portable music players. The overall sound is natural and full, without the juiced-up quality that some headphones substitute for real fidelity and which can quickly produce "ear-fatigue." Sound separation is excellent; bottom end sound is full and remarkably clean and sharp. The phones fit comfortably and securely, and can be worn for hours without ear-fatigue. They also reduce outside noise, whether from an airliner or a crowded coffee-shop, as well as any of the other players I've listened to.

These headphones are also well-designed. Whether you are a frequent air traveler or simply like to have your music player in your day pack for listening in a cafe or while shopping, the lightweight (1 pound) but sturdy construction, and a fold-up feature that makes the 'phones easy to store and also protects them from damage, are big plusses.

These headphones can't substitute for the fidelity of good full-size audiophile headphones for the home, but in my experience that is true with all headphones and earbuds designed for portable music players. Overall, they do a better job than any other product in this category that I have heard, and at about $100 the price can't be beat.

Highly recommended. Audio Technica ATH-ANC1 QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling On-Ear Headphones

I was looking for comfortable headphones that I could wear at the office with my iPhone. I bought these after hearing on the "This Week in Tech" podcast how much they liked the Audio Technica brand headphones. The ANC1 just came out in January so I had to buy them sight unseen with no reviews but I'm glad I did. I have not used noise cancelling headphones before and while I'm a techy person and appreciate good sound, I am not an audiophile so take that into account when reading this review. I am very pleased with the sound and the design. They are light enough that you don't really notice them and the noise cancelling is very cool and works like a charm. Just flip the noise cancelling switch with no music playing and you hear a big difference if there is noise, AC, talking, etc. With music, it just sounds great and while it doesn't eliminate all sound (which is probably a good thing), it does make a difference.

I got them a couple of weeks ago and I've also used them at the gym on the treadmill and eliptical machine. They worked great there too.

They come with a little pouch that they fit into when you fold the headphones. Since they are light and foldable, I don't think they are super tough but they don't feel flimsy. I like how they are designed.

Overall I am very pleased and would recommend them highly. If $100 is not too much for you, buy them if you want something functional, lightweight, works great with iphone 3GS, noise cancelling and sounds awesome.

This is my first noise cancelation headphone. I picked it over SONY or JVC models in the same price range after reading online reviews. First of all, this headphone is not good looking and is built with cheap material. It feels like one of those low end headsets you can get from Walmart or Target for less then $20. Second, the noise canceling button is poorly designed and can be defective. In fact, the first order I got had a defective switch. When I turned it on, it generated a loud static noise that hurt my ears, and the button fell off after 1 day of use. I had to return it for an exchange. Fortunately, the second one I got doesn't have the same problem. No noise is generated when I turn on/off the noise canceling switch. I have to say the sound quality of this phone is excellent. I tested the noise canceling on both subway train and airplanes. It was very effective to low frequency background noise reduction. The rides became much more pleasant with this phone. If you don't mind the look, this product is a very good headphone with noise canceling function. - Noise Canceling - Headphones - Audio - Audio Technica'

Inkjet Printer Ink - canon pixma ink, canon

Get the XL cartridges, not the regular PG-210s. According to Canon you get almost 2x more pages, for < 40% more money.

What does that mean? I emptied out my regular 210 cartridge within 1 month of rather light usage on my new Canon MP240 printer. The XL cartridge now in it is < 1/2 full but going on 6 weeks.

Soon 3rd parties will be selling replacements, but I got some OEM Canon carts for $9@ from sellers here on Amazon. You don't have to pay full price. Canon PG-210XL Cartridge (Black) in Retail Packaging

These cartridges both black and color start signalling low ink levels when you have used less than half. That means you can get good quality copying and printing for much longer.

NET take out the cartridges, gently shake em up then re-install. You will still get the low ink lights but I've made more than 100 copies after those lights appear. Seems to be a ploy to encourage waste of ink and therefore more sales for the cartridges.

The 210XL has 66% more ink than the regular 210 cartridge. (15ml vs 9ml) And it isn't much more expensive, so save yourself some long term money and buy the XL.

And while you can go with a generic, certain consumer magazines have shown that generic cartridges and refill kits end up costing you more and giving you less quality than the manufacturer ink.

I got a bundled Canon MX340 with my recent purchase of a Mac Book Pro. The printer was set up in my home network such that anyone could print from their PC/Mac/Laptop. I needed to print a PDF file with over 250 pages and thus decided to buy a spare ink cart as I expected the one that came with the printer to run out (old Epson printer did about 150 pages on average). As expected the low ink warning came on at about page 12/13 (I assumed that others on the network had been using the ink for a fair bit). Replaced with a brand new 210 cart and resumed the printing. I got a rude shock when the low ink warning came back on after about 30 pages of print. Thinking it was an error or sensor malfunction, I decided to ignore it and continued printing. After the 38th page it was completely dry. The shocking thing was, I even set the printer to print on "fast", and color intensity on "-50" (as grey/light as possible to reduce ink ussage). I can't even begin to imagine what would have happened if I printed it on "Normal" or "High Quality".

This is a heads up to students, home offices and basically anyone who needs to print a fair bit, these guys run out fast. VERY FAST.

This product is a HOAX. I bought it along with the printer recently because my HP was guzzling ink. The XL cartridge only printed 30 or so pages (of 12 pt text) before being empty. The 'beginner' cartridge that came with the printer printed 5x that. What a joke. This product is more than defective. It's outright dishonest, what's the term... highway robbery??

I wouldn't waste my money if I were you. BTW, the printer's pretty sweet so far (that is if I can find a way to feed it reasonably)!

I don't do nearly as much printing as I did when I first got my printer, but this cartridge has lasted for more than half the semester now. I print weekly for numerous assignments so this cartridge has done wonders.

everything was as promised. worked perfectly with the printer i had and it was way cheaper than the stores' asking price and it has more ink than the regular 210. ill buy here again when it runs out. nice.

Didn't really count how many pages I could print with one cartridge, but it seemed like a lot. (I'm a college student so I print very frequently.) Quality is not compromised even when I set the print quality at "fast" (and the printer consequently uses less ink).

In fact, this ink didn't work at all.

Beware of Canon's dishonesty. I bought my printer in Europe, and bought new ink through Amazon. The ink number matches the printer model, but still doesn't work. Turns out that Canon has divided the world into regions (if this sounds like the movie industry, you know what the motivation is). My printer will not accept ink sold in the US, only ink sold in Europe. Obviously this allows Canon to sell ink at a much higher price in Europe and eliminate parallel imports. And yet, nowhere do they provide this information. Until after you buy the ink, discover it doesn't work, and contact support. Great way to look after your customers Canon! Good thing there are HP, Epson, Samsung, Nikon, Xerox etc to cover ones future needs. - Ink - Pg-210xl - Canon Pixma Ink - Canon'

Replacement In-refrigerator Water Filter... - fridge filter, kenmore replacement filter

I have a Kenmore refrigerator form Sears that I bought about a year and a half ago. Kenmore is actually made by Whirlpool and although the filter this replaced was labeled Kenmore, this is the exact same filter but labeled Whirlpool instead. I looked it up on the Sears site and they wanted $50 for the same filter. The price is a steal and even though it says 6 months I used it for over a year since I have soft water in my house and only one person. My fridge has a 6 month built in timer that goes from green to orange to red when the 6 months is up. I thought it might be based on actual usage, but it's not, because it went red at exactly 6 months and I use far less water than most other households. I have no idea why more time would harm a filter, as far as I'm concerned it's just a marketing tactic to get you to buy them more often then needed, like oil changes every 3,000 miles. Whirlpool 4396710P KitchenAid PUR Push Button Cyst-Reducing, Side-by-Side Refrigerator Water Filter, 2-Pack

This filter fits my Kenmore Elite side by side which takes the Sears 9030 filter and at almost half the price. The only difference in this filter is it does not say Stage II or Kenmore. The water tastes exactly the same to me as when I used the Sears brand and I am very aware of the water taste since we have hard, extremely chlorinated water in my area. I wish I had found these filters - 4 Sears brand filters ago ... serious $$$ savings!

This is a good filter at a substantial savings compared to Sears. It will fit into your Kenmore Frige that takes a PUR filter.

Some interesting Facts not all know: Why to change your filter...

Eventually the AC filter (Active Carbon) loses its ability to remove contaminants, because it becomes clogged with material. In the case of taste and odor, the time to change the filter is easy to detect. However, in the case of other contaminants, it is more difficult to determine when the filter is no longer performing at an adequate level. Most manufacturers recommend a filter change after a certain volume of water has passed through the filter. Some AC units actually meter the water and automatically shut down after a specific quantity of water has passed through the filter. A general rule of thumb for high-volume AC filters is to change the filter after six months of use or 1000 gallons of filtered water. Tests done by Rodale Press Product Testing Department indicated that filtering performance was reduced dramatically after 75 percent of the manufacturer's recommended life time. These results suggest that filters should be changed more often than suggested by the manufacturer. Some AC filters are claimed to last for five years, because they are rechargeable with hot water (145 degrees F). The heat is supposed to release adsorbed organic chemicals. Little information is available on the prolonged effectiveness of rechargeable AC units. General recommendations are somewhat useful quidelines, but there is no guarantee that they apply to any specific situation. Remember, the only certain way of knowing whether contaminant levels are acceptable or not is by having your water tested.

A sediment filter installed ahead of any AC filter will prolong the life of the AC unit. Sediment can easily clog the pores of an AC filter within a short period of time. A good sediment filter can be purchased for only a fraction of the price of most high volume AC filters.

The Bacteria Issue

AC filters can be a breeding ground for microorganisms. The organic chemicals that are adsorbed to the AC are a source of food for various types of bacteria. Pathogenic bacteria are those that cause human diseases such as typhoid, cholera, and dysentery. Public water systems must treat for disease causing bacteria; therefore, the likelihood of disease causing bacteria being introduced to an AC filter from public drinking water is remote. AC filtration should only be used on water that has been tested and found to be bacteria free or effectively treated for pathogenic bacteria.

Other types of non-pathogenic bacteria that do not cause diseases have been regularly found in AC filters. There are times when high amounts of bacteria (non-pathogenic) are found in water filtered through an AC unit. Research by R. L. Caldron and E. W. Mood (1987) shows little risk to healthy people that consume high amounts of non-pathogenic bacteria. We regularly take in millions of bacteria every day from other sources. However, there is some concern for certain segments of the population, such as the very young or old and people weakened by illness. Some types of non-pathogenic bacteria can cause illness in those whose natural defenses are weak. Flushing out bacteria that have built up in the filter can be accomplished by running water through an AC filter for about 30 seconds prior to use. Water filtered after the initial flushing will have much lower levels of bacteria and ingestion of a high concentration of bacteria will have been avoided. The flushing procedure is most important in the morning or any other time of the day when the filter has not been used for several hours.

Some compounds of silver have been used as disinfectants. Silver has been added to certain AC filters as a solution to the bacteria problem. Unfortunately, product testing has not shown silver impregnated AC to be much more effective in controlling bacteria than normal AC filters. Only in the first month of operation did there appear to be any advantage to using an AC filter that contained silver.

EPA requires registration of all types of water treatment equipment that contain an active ingredient for the purpose of inhibiting the growth of microorganisms. Registration does not guarantee that the product is effective. It only guarantees that the active ingredient will not leach from the filter at levels that would be a health hazard.

Lcd Wall Mount - tv wall mount, lcd wall mount

Mounted my Samsung 50" plasma using this mount. My display is about 70 pounds.

Installation was fairly simple. The back plate is 30 inches wide, so you will only be able to get 2 studs max. Important points:

1. It is very important to make sure the lag bolts drill into the studs.

2. The included hardware is iffy, so go spend the $5 at your local hardware store and get some better bolts.

3. The level on the back plate is not 100% accurate, so make sure to use your own.

The important thing to to measure where you want your holes and then measure them again and then make sure everything is level.

The construction of the mount and rails felt very sturdy.

For those that have never mounted a tv before there are 2 parts. A back plate that bolts on to your wall and then 2 rails that bolt onto the back of your display. You then place your display on the backplate. The rails have hooks to secure it onto the plate and then screws at the bottom to make sure it doesn't come off.

Distance between the back of the display and the wall is about 2.25 inches. This is fairly tight and makes it difficult to hook up cables, so make sure your cables are hooked up before mounting the display. VideoSecu Tilt TV Wall Mount for Most 32"-60" LCD LED Plasma, Sturdy Steel Wall Plate Comes with 6" 3-Axis Magnetic Bubble Level Free 7 ft HDMI Cable M43

This is the second mount I bought the first one wasn't the right type but I am glad it wasn't for this mount is perfect for my needs.

I placed the 37" TV on a flat surface on top of a blanket to prevent scratching. I screwed the side brackets on. (I placed mine on upside down but I figured it out before and real work was done.) Time to mount the wall plate. I went and sat down in a chair opposite from where the TV was going to be and "eyeballed it" a bit higher. I then marked it with a pencil. I am not going to tell you the exact measurement because everyone is different so just make it at the height that you want it and remember the higher it is the more you have to look up to watch it unless you stand to watch TV. Okay now your gonna need a level you can try to fake it but I wouldn't since you are screwing holes in you wall. Draw a line with the level and line up the wall plate and screw it in. Some people say you should use better bolts then the ones that came with the mount well I used the ones that came with it and they worked fine.

You have the TV on the floor with the side brackets attached and you have the wall plate level and screwed to the wall. I wanted a more clean look so I drilled 1/2 inch holes in the wall with a hole bit on my drill so I could pass the cables through it. I would suggest you go ahead and do this even if you are not ready to attach all the cables.

Time to place the TV on the wall plate. Attaching the cables to the back of the TV is probably a good idea but not a necessity but it makes life easier. Pick the TV up and place the little hooks on the brackets to the wall mount and let go! Don't worry it will hold. Tighten the little clamps and make sure the safety screw is there.

Your done with the mounting now you just have to adjust. The mount allows you to tilt the TV but you have to unscrew the little knobs on side and if the TV isn't exactly right where you want it you can slide it from side to side a few inches.

There is enough room to reach your hand behind the TV to plug in cables but its tight and you have to look at a diagram of the connections on the back but it can be done.

For good measure and I wouldn't recommend doing this I held onto the top of the TV and hung from it for a second just to see how well it held. The TV didn't fall so I guess it did well.

Buy this TV mount you will enjoy it.

This TV mount was great. I used it to put up a 32" LG LCD TV in my bedroom. A 32" TV is the minimum since the wall bracket is visable around the sides. The bars covered up some of the connections on the back of the TV, but that is a problem with the TV, not the mount. I did buy some stronger stud bolts from a local hardware store since I wanted to be sure the TV would not fall. However, all hardware does come with the mount, including some very needed extenders since the TV pre-drilled holds were not very deep. The 15 degree tilt function works great. Be sure to have a stud finder to line up to attach the bracket correctly. I plan to buy two more for bigger TVs.

This high quality, strong and secure mount is comparable to those costing three times the price. It is strong and secure, and I had no trouble getting it to attach to my Magnavox 37" LCD TV. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Plenty of included bolts to match the inserts on a variety of televisions, and it even has the option to attach your padlock to the mount to secure the TV once assembled. Definitely recommended! - Lcd Wall Mount - Tv Mount - Plasma Wall Mount - Tv Wall Mount'

Jewelry Making Tools - watch battery, great price

I got five of these tiny batteries for what one battery would cost me at a local discount chain store. The service was excellent and speedy. I have no idea what the shelf life is on these batteries. At the rate of one battery every two years, I'll find out in 2018 or 2019. Energizer 371 or 370 Button Cell Silver Oxide SR920SW 5 Watch Batteries

I purchased one of these batteries at walmart (in desperation) a month or so ago. My watch battery died.

The new 371/370 was around 3 dollars. Now I have 5 backups for less than a dollar each!!!

This is a deal and a half.

4.9 stars.

The only better deal would be a set of Sonys for the same price.

The batteries were "fresh", but more importantly, the reseller was excellent with continuous communications and shipping statuses. It was a small purchase, but I would buy from this third party seller again.

Works as expected. Great value for the price. Highly recommend purchasing this from Amazon as you can not find a better deal than this. Works just as good as expensive batteries purchased from other stores

This is a really good deal. I got five batteries ($4.04) for less than the price of two pack at Walmart. If I only end up using 2 of them I still got a great deal.

The order came without any problems. I have not tested all the batteries as some people have but the first one we used worked just fine.

5 watch batteries for my Guess watch for the price of 1 at the grocery store. Combined with the watch battery opener I purchased on Amazon I will never have to go to the jewelry store to have my watch batteries replaced again. Awesome!

I received these and a bevy of batteries via amazon. These batteries are used in the so many diffeent watches The repowered units are ticking away and total value # of bateries, free ship and no sales tax makes all the batteries sold in bulk at Amazon a great deal - Great Price - Watch Battery - Energizer - Accessories'

Ipod Fm Transmitter - mp3 player, mp3 accessories

This is the BEST product of it's kind. Unfortunately, that's not saying much. Unless you have a tape deck in your care or you're willing to drop about 4 bills, an FM transmitter is the only universal tool for hooking up your mp3 player to your car stereo.

We live in DC, and considering that the radio waves are pretty crowded here, the transmitter works very well. There is some fuzziness between songs, but we have found a few stations that offer mostly good quality sound. It is essential if you live in a metro area to purchase a transmitter that allows you to use any station.

However, in order to change stations you must first save it as a preset station and then move to that station. You can't just push an up or down button and stop on a station you want to use, you must first save it. This can be annoying and almost impossible if you are driving.

Despite all this, I would recommend this product specifically for anyone looking for an FM transmitter. Trust me, this is my third one! Monster RadioPlay 300 Universal Full Spectrum FM Transmitter (MBL-FM XMTR300)

I enthusiastically endorse this product (shame it's not in stock right now as I type this). I purchased the iRiver AFT 100 and the Belkin TuneCast II after buying this product, and was able to do a direct comparison. I live in the San Diego area which is flooded with FM radio stations where it's difficult to find an empty, available radio station. My best bet with each player was 88.1, which I used to test all three products. The TuneCast was first up: It made a horrible sound as I plugged it in, scratchy and staticky which then faded into the music. Overall, it sounded like a semi-weak radio station. The iRiver was a little less weak, but still very scratchy with an inredible background hiss that persisted even as I tried every volume and position combination. The only product that created a very crisp and clear sound was this Monster Cable Transmitter. It's even powerful enough to overide live/powerful stations (though with some static) and at best sounded very similar to my CD player. I am so extremely satisfied with this product and so completely bummed out about the iRiver which from the bulk of its reviews sounded like a champ. It's not, it's a chump. The Belkin product has mixed reviews, but I have a friend in San Fransisco that says it works as well my Monster product there. All in all, thumbs up for the Monster Cable Transmitter for its shining reign over the other two "top rated" products.

I bought this item at the local Circuit City a few weeks ago and I must say this was one of the best investments for my MP3 player I've ever made. I like the fact that you can tune this transmitter digitally instead of using a wheel and having to "guess" what station you are on. I have the transmitter set to 3 stations: 88.1, 88.3, and 88.5. I even set my car stereo to these stations as well, instead of the local radio stations! Sometimes I have to switch channels when coming into a busy area (I live close to Memphis). It's VERY nice having the option of listening to my MP3 player when I'm in the car instead of all the garbage the radio stations play.

The Monster RadioPlay 300 Universal FM Transmitter is highly useful for playing mp3 players in the car, and unlike a lot of other FM transmitters out there, it works. The best thing about this transmitter is its full spectrum (88.1 to 107.9), which is essential if you live in a metro area (where a lot of stations are usually taken). I use this for my Microsoft Zune, and the sound is almost CD-quality, most of the time. You have to make sure, however, that the cord connected to the player doesn't move too much, though, because if it twists or gets pulled out a little, the sound becomes "static-y" and it may even drown out the music. So find a steady spot to hold your player and make sure the cord isn't pulled on by anything. This was really the only reason for the 4-star rating opposed to a 5-star rating. Another tip - if the bass sounds excessively static-y, try turning down the volume on the Zune (it worked for me). Before you try it out, try finding the blankest radio station you can find, and program it into one of the Monster's presets. The transmitter seems to work better if it is playing through a station saved as a preset rather than one you just found. The reality is that CD's have the best quality sound in almost any car system. With mp3 players, you're stuck with cassette adapters and FM transmitters for the most part. But that isn't necessarily bad. A tape adapter comes pretty close to a CD-sound, and I'd put them ahead of transmitters just because you don't have to change stations while travelling long distances. The Monster Universal Transmitter isn't far behind either, providing you find a blank station. It works awesomely on a very blank channel. This is the third transmitter I've tried, and it works the best...by far. Other FM transmitters don't even deserve to be mentioned along side it (maybe I just bought the crappy ones?). It is highly worth the price. - Mp3 Player - Car Transmitter - Mp3 Accessories - Audio'
