Game Controller

I want to make this review rather short. First, it's an easy to install Gamepad and looks very promising. You have the easy PS2 feel, dual-analog control pads, and a comfortable fit. You can install the drivers or not. It doesn't really make a difference because Windows will recognize it.

The problem with this Gamepad is that it is not very durable. I bought and tested this controller with MVP Baseball 2005 & Need for Speed Underground 2. What happened is, I had to take the controller back 3 times to have it replaced because the analog sticks would give out or get stuck in a certain postion. Now, in MVP Baseball, for example, you need the right stick to dive/slide with. Well, the analog stick stuck to the right in 2 of them I tried, so that ends up leaving you to have automatic fielding because you can't get to the ball when the player is diving for no reason. With Need for Speed, I found that the 1 controller where the left analog stick went out, the cars were just out of control.

There are many reviews online as I have found that confirm that Logitech never addressed this controllers issues. Even Tech. Support kept telling me I had just bought a bad controller when I called them on each one.

Be aware, once the analog stick goes, whether it is 2 days or 2 months, you can't calibrate it. The GamePad is useless. I would suggest you go with Nyko's AirFlo Gamepad instead. I've had no problems with that one. Logitech Dual Action Game Pad USB

Just like what everybody is saying, but it doesn't seem that severe to me though. Played NFS: Underground and Prince of Persia with it, when you constantly move the analog button, you won't feel any difference. It is only when you let go off the button and suddenly your guy started to walk by itself! Pity pity, it could be the perfect gamepad out there that resembles PlayStation gamepad...

I bought 2 and both have the same major problem. Both have the analog stick calibration drift problem, which is widespread and well-documented online (check out the logitech web site user forums). Unfortunately, Logitech is totally ignoring the problem despite a tremendous amount of complaints (presumably because it is a unpatchable hardware problem). I am also upset with EA for endorsing it for MVP Baseball 2004. I replaced it with the comparable Saitek P880, which has worked well for me so far.

Question:

Do YOU enjoy using gamepads that don't allow you to move in a single straight line, allowing only diagonal movement, because the directional pad is so screwed up?

Do YOU enjoy gamepads that don't allow full calibration or adjustment of sensitivity?

Do YOU enjoy products that don't work, will never work and should never be placed on the market by a company that clearly doesn't give a flying flip about whether or not their item actually correctly functions???

If so, the Logitech Dual Action Gamepad JUST MAY BE FOR YOU!

I've bought some terrible gamepads in my time, but never... NEVER... have I experienced a pad that caused so much immediate frustration. The controls are not even close to anything resembling precision. They're unresponsive, laggy, and hideously loose. There's no way you can play any sort of competitive game with this pad. There's no way you can do anything with this pad.

In fact, the very eve in which I bought this pad, I became so enraged with its dysfunctionability that I threw the mother on the floor and began wailing on it with a baseball bat. As the circuitry began flying into my face in little bits and chunks, I realized... this was my destiny. It was my fate to brutally destroy and conquer the Logitech Dual Action Gamepad. I wish I could assassinate every single model. I wish to cast this beast back to the depths from whence it came.

Quite simply put, this pad is a sin upon humanity. I despise you, Logitech. I will never trust you or your bred-of-darkness-evil company again.

Steer clear of these gamepads. Actually you won't be able to steer anything because most likely in a matter of weeks they won't work. I bought two at the same time and had sporadic problems right from the start and now they just quit working completely. I've seen many people having exactly the same problems on discussion boards. Spend a little more money and stay away these controllers.

I bought this item before reading these reviews but wish I had read them first. The controller is terrific except for the "minor" detail that the left stick went out after a couple of weeks. First I noticed a slight drift and now it completely freezes during game play on a regular basis. Sure you can fix it; exit the game, unplug and replug the device, and restart the computer. However, as I don't consider this a benefit I'll be returning today and finding another product.

You may be interested in the Logitech® Dual Action™ Gamepad for the same reason that I was: it is as close to a console pad as you can find and it doesn't cost all that much. $15-20 really isn't too bad of a price for one of these things considering the cost of certain other gamepads. But when you get into using the Logitech® Dual Action™ Gamepad for any period of time you may start to notice certain problems popping up, and that might lead you to think that your money was not well spent.

The Logitech® Dual Action™ Gamepad is wonderful out of the box, its feel and the response of the controls are both nice- with the exception of the difficulty you will experience with the directional pad on the left side (it is hard to move anything in a specific direction for long). Once you have 'worn it in', though, the Logitech® Dual Action™ Gamepad starts to show some of its real nasty habits. Mostly it has to do with the 'dual action' portion of the gamepad- the analog joysticks. After playing an analog joystick-intensive game like, say, Madden football or NBA Live; the sticks (especially the left side) will start to lose its calibration on a regular basis. This is an easy fix: just unplug it and plug it back in. Though it does get tiring when you have to do this every 30 seconds. The other problem with the joysticks is that they just plain wear out. After many, many hours of play (as I have put to the test), you will notice that your joystick will not work in many ways no matter how many times you re-plug it in.

All in all, despite all of its problems, I like the Logitech® Dual Action™ Gamepad and would recommend it to someone, as I have not found a more attractive alternative. My suggestion is that if you do buy one, buy it at Best Buy where you can also purchase a warranty on it. The warranty is only a few dollars more and if anything goes wrong with it- which WILL happen- you can return it for a brand new one, no questions asked. I, myself, am on my 9th controller. The hassle of having to go back to Best Buy aside (I shop there a lot anyway), I kind of like getting a new controller every few months- all for just the price of a few dollars more at purchase time. Buy the warranty.'

Verbatim Dl Dvd - verbatim dl dvd, dual layer

I have bought and burned over 200 of these discs and I have never had a bad disc! Today the blank media market has been flooded with cheap discs that won't work after a few uses or even burn properly! However, this specific blank media is still high quality and won't fail. Verbatim 96542 8.5 GB 8x-10x Double Layer Recordable Disc DVD+R DL, 30 Disc Spindle

This was my first experience using double layer media for burning, so while I have no reference points to go by, I must say I've not had a bad disc so far. I promise to update this review if things begin to change.

I have two versions of Nero (6 and 8) on two very different computers, and I've noticed that they both automatically lower the burn rate to 4X (though I can pump it up to 6X on Nero 6) and wonder if speed accounts for the fact that "lesser" brands fail more often. I even have one of the hated Sony burners in my Core Duo 2 laptop with Nero 8, and it works, despite being HUGELY slower than with a Lite-On drive installed in my ancient AMD64 desktop.

My only gripe with this product is, oddly, what drew me to it in the first place: the price. At $40.48 for a 30 pack you're looking at $1.35 per disc. I find it hard to believe that in this day and age, when the product cycle for optical discs of this sort is quite mature, that it costs this much to produce them. Can it really be more than double the cost of two single layer discs which can be had for 20 to 30 cents each at fairly reliable quality? Perhaps...I've never made them myself. I will conclude in Verbatim's defense that this is the lowest price point short of the widely maligned Memorex discs. That's why I chose them, and all in all I'm quite happy.

P.S.--It might be interesting to hear from those who have used both these and the cheaper Memorex discs to see if patterns in why things head south do so. I'll let you know if I decide to bite the bullet and try the competition at some point.

Verbatim has changed the manufacture process of their discs with the 8x. The dye has serious flaws in 80% or more of the discs. Normally I would recommend these to anybody interested in backing up data. Now I say stay away from these. Out of 15 discs only 3 are barely readable. 12 coasters. I would expect this from Memorex but not Verbatim. Stick to 2.4x discs if you can still find them. I used a brand new Pioneer burner with all of these so I know my drive is not failing. It burns everything else very well including the HP Dual Layer discs. Extremely disappointed.

Please take note I am referring to the purple box not the orange one. Never had a single problem from those. Depending on your chosen software for burning check and see if the disc ID number MKM-003-00 (or something close to that - must have the 003) appears. If it does.. do not even attempt to burn or else you will have just lost an hour of your day and a very expensive disc.

I do a lot of DVD burning, I won't mention any competitors all I will say is that I NEVER have had a Verbatim disk fail on me. If it fails its usually my fault. I have had great success with the Verbatim +R DL disks.

Don't let the price scare you. Verbatim DVD's are worth every penny! Use the other brands for frisbees and never worry again about your media. These babies burn clean without any discards. I've used a few hundred and haven't thrown out any! My only disappoinment is the 8x dual layer doesn't come in a pack of 100 spindle(hmmmmmm). I have reliably used them at different speeds with no difficulty. I have tried other brands, NONE COMPARE!!!

Discs performed perfectly--I'd heard stories of lost or contaminated data with 'bargain' or other cheaper Double Layer discs...I decided to go with the Verbatim discs based on reviews and the experience of friends, a little more co$t, but worth it in the long run....GH

My friends and I have a lot of experience writing DVDs. Even with a top rated DVD burner, the double layer writing is a little tricky and, as far as I am concerned, Verbatim is the ONLY choice. It works almost every time with very few failures. One time I bought a 50 stack of another brand because they didn't have the Verbatim in stock. I gave up trying to get a good write and threw them away. Don't waste your money on any other brand. - Dual Layer Dvd - Dual Layer - Verbatim - Verbatim Dl Dvd'

Ink Cartridge - hp ink, home office

The HP 21 inkjet cartridge is very light, easy to install and allows the printer to print out very good quality, durable black ink on the page. It stores for about a year after you buy it so if you want to stock up for your office or personal printing needs that's great! (It even comes with an expiration date!) HP also packs it well so that it is difficult for the cartridge to become damaged during transit.

One thing that I didn't like, however, is that the ink can go quickly. If you print a lot, you might even need to replace this cartridge every ten days or so. My needs are about 10 pages per week and I have to change the cartridge roughly every six to seven weeks. That's not good; although to be fair to this HP ink cartridge I am printing graphics.

As of the time that I am writing this, why don't we get a better discount for buying two cartridges? I notice the price to buy two is just slightly less than twice the cost of one of these HP 21 ink cartridges--but buying two should be cheaper still since you're buying two and not just one at a time; instead HP wants their customers to pay twice without giving them any discount or "price improvement." You might save a little over a dollar by buying this twinpack; but that's not much. There's just no discount nor is there any financial incentive to buy more than one at a time--and, as one reviewer notes, this is a disappointment.

Three and one-half stars for being great ink in easy to manage and install cartridges. It loses one and one-half stars for not lasting longer AND not giving customers a discount for buying more than one cartridge at a time. HP 21 Black Ink Cartridge, Twin Pack

If you really do not want to throw out your printer out every time it runs out of ink you cannot go wrong with this deal. The twin pack is a hair more than most dealers single packs, you have spare on hand, and you order half as often. Now if they had one for the color too, that would be perfect.

It seems like everyday, we are trting to find the best in inkjet cartridges these days. Although some are cheaper than others, like store brands, it is the quality that makes the difference. This 2 pack of HP 21 Black inkjet cartridges is easy to setup for your printer, and connects like a snap. These cartidges works very well with my printer. They are also compatable with the Deskjet 3900 series and other HP printers. I really recommend this 2 pack because it saves in money and in value for all your everyday printing needs.

Price: B+

Quality: B+

Overall: B+

I am writing this review to give this ink the credit it deserves. Since the

guy before me took his frustration (of the seller) out on the ink, I feel it only fair to say that I have used this ink cartridge for 2 years and I print a lot! So, I have probably used about 40 or more of this exact kind of cartridge.

I have never had any kind of problem with it in any way. It is easy to install, uninstall and the quality is great.

This is my first review of any item but I felt I must let people know that this is a good product since some people give it a bad name just because they are mad at the seller.

The seller does not even appear to be Amazon.

Next time don't give the ink a bad review because you are mad at one of

the many who sell for Amazon.

Buy the HP 21XL high capacity cartridge to get more ink for your $$. You won't be bothered with changing cartridges as often, either. The color cartridge is also available in higher capacity as the 22XL.

Why would anyone want to buy a twin pack, which is supposed to save money by "buying in volume", when it is MORE than double the price of a single cartridge? Amazon appears to need some help with their math on this one. Hopefully they'll fix this and my review will become unneeded. Until then, don't assume that a two pack is automatically a better deal.

I would give this cartridge a negative five stars if I could. I go way back to the 1980's in using computers. I have written many books and could always get 300 type-written, double-spaced pages from one cartridge. Until now, I have never had a complaint about the amount of ink in a cartridge. Then recently, I was given an HP All-in-0ne printer. I bought the twin pack of cartridges, and in no time, I was out of ink, in spite of the fact that the ink level displayed on my screen indicated that the cartridge was 1/4 full. The second cartridge did no better, but it showed I still had 1/2 of the ink left, even though it wouldn't spit out so much as a dot of ink. I figured those two cartridges must have been defective, so I bit the bullet and bought another twin set. I have printed about 15 pages with the latest cartridge, the ink shows 3/4 full, but it no longer prints. Yes, for each recalcitrant cartridge, I cleaned the cartridge as per the printer instructions. However, the only way I could get any more printed pages was to install a new cartridge. So, the barely-broken-in cartridges were obviously out of ink. I called Hewlett Packard, but they were no help. I am not paying exorbitant prices for cartridges with a smidgen of ink in them. I am looking for another brand of printer and will never buy another HP product again, especially not their cartridges.

Wireless Headphone - cordless headphones, sony

I had this 970RK for 2-3 years and never have the problems as many complained in the 1-star group - noisy, poor sound quality, short battery life, etc. Each is just opposit to me in a positive way.

I have been using it in a single family house (vs. apartment building) and I always connect it to the LINE OUT of a TV, not the earphone jack, so that I can just mute the TV while listening to the headphone.

It works so well for me that I am going to buy a 2nd set of the same thing so that I can always have a one fully charged waiting there when the another I am using runs out of battery (That is why I am here today).

Hope this helps to tell why the reviewers are so wide spliting here - they may use it in different ways or locations. Sony MDRRF970RK 900 MHz Analog RF Wireless Headphone

I was a bit skeptical of the quality of this wireless headphone after reading some of the lukewarm reviews here. I also went to Crutchfield to download the owners manual (too bad Amazon doesn't offer this feature - it's very helpful).

This was to be a gift for my soon-to-be 92 year old aunt. She has problems hearing certain frequency ranges and is missing out on much of the dialog on television.

She has an older Sony TV set (circa 1998) without a headphone jack, so a Sennheiser (my 1st choice) headphone was out of contention. I needed something to plug into the line out RCA connectors on the back of her set. This Sony unit seemed to fit the bill. I decided to have it sent to my home first to ensure it would work and to look for any idiosyncrasies. To my delight, I found none. Not a single problem...well, getting the headset out of the plastic packaging was a bit tough !

I followed the instructions for the setup (I have a Sony, but a newer model) - easily done, by the way. I allowed the headset to charge overnight. So far, so good. I removed the headset from the cradle and placed it on my head...Voila...sound! And not just any scratchy audio, but rich and crisp. The audio compression circuitry was working as advertised and the headphone audio adjust allowed me to turn up the volume to an uncomfortable level. Perfect for a 92 year old lady hard of hearing.

So, I gave it the range test...kinda. I gingerly stepped out of the house and walked around...perhaps 50 to 75 feet away. Not a hiccup or a dropout. I had a good feeling about this.

So, I packed it up to be sent off to California...and my dear old aunt. I used my yellow Hi-Liter to mark areas of interest and attention in the instructions (my auntie is a bit of a Luddite).

Several days passed and I called her to see if it had arrived. The USPS had not let me down. She had already unpacked it and hooked it all up following my explicit instructions (a yellow Hi-Liter makes all the difference). She was quite upset that it did not work...no green light to indicate audio was being received by the transmitter from her Sony TV.

We went round and round over the phone - double checking everything, yet the audio was still AWOL. I found her Sony TV model on a manual download site on the Internet and obtained a PDF copy of the manual. No surprises there. I might note that I had discovered that many older Sony models required the user to TURN OFF the built-in speakers of the TV set before audio would be enabled to the line out jacks. Hers was not of that vintage.

The next morning I called her, armed with printed information so we might attack the problem once again. She, quite sheepishly, admitted to me she had found the problem. Her television was turned off and she had not thought to turn it back on - and I had not thought to ask her if it was on. Oh, my! Operator error.

In any case, the headset works wonderfully. She is amazed at the sound quality. I could almost hear her ear-to-ear smile in the phone.

So, dear readers. I can only say all is well, that ends well. And if it pleases my dear old auntie, how can you go wrong?

As with nearly all products, you will sometimes get a lemon...something that slips through quality control, or a component that becomes defective after a period of time. However, in this case, I can give this headset a 10+ without a second thought.

My wife was so taken with this that she has requested I order a unit for her to use. Oh my...what HAVE I done?

Happy listening !Sony MDRRF970RK 900 MHz Analog RF Wireless Headphone

I was hoping these would work better than the Sennheiser's have used before. Nice looking, rechargeable, inductive charge, auto-off with the headband, comfortable. But.. the noise level is simply intolerable. There is a level of noise at all times which is very intrusive. With music its not really bad, but with dialog(as in a movie) it is truely horrible. With any quiet passage, the noise increases sharply. Some reviewers(of the 960rk) have suggested that increasing the input signal will improve this. Maybe slightly, but the dynamic range of the headphone circuit is very poor, so clipping and distortion come very quickly. Supposedly there is a noise reduction circuit(compared to the 925), but I can't imagine what it does. The range of 150 ft is a joke-maybe on Mars. Even disregarding the noise issue, they really can't be reliably used more than 4 feet from the based. The engineers involved with this one should be spanked. Doesn't Sony test these things before production? It could also be that the 900 MHz band just isn't a good one for this application. The Sennheisers(RS110) have some interference problems also, but the noise is noticeably less and the sound quality much better. - Sony Wireless Headphones - Cordless Headphones - Sony - Wireless Headphone'

Waterproof Matress Pads - bed pad, waterproof matress pads

These bed pads are excellent quality, washable in hot water with bleach, and are very comfortable to sleep on. The alternative, disposable kind tend to bunch up and slide, are noisy and are bulky when disposed of (not environmentally friendly), although they can be handy. These are very economical if bed pads are needed often, and are handy to have on hand when picking up kids after they've been swimming, or to put down when a guest needs to change a baby's diaper. These are an extra measure of protection (chair, bed or carseat) for mild urinary incontinence. I recommend buying two or three so you always have a nice fresh one available, and checking out the different sizes available to meet your needs. The price is very competitive, as they sell for much more elsewhere. Compared to disposables, these are an excellent value for the money, and are a real time saver considering the effort it takes to completely change bedding.

I've used these for a few weeks now so I'm confident I can give a knowledgable review. They cover a very generous area on the bed and when you have a bed ridden individual they can scoot up and down the mattress more than you would think so this is important. This pad gives superior coverage of bed area. Also they wash really well which gives them good durability. Highly recommend.

I was skeptical about the low price, but gave it a go. They wash up without shrinking, absorb and remain soft. Great buy. They are strong too, If your patient is small enough, you can use them for a lift sheet. - Incontinence - Waterproof Underpad - Waterproof Matress Pads - Bed Pad'

Smartphone Case

I waited anxiously for Otterbox to release this case and ordered mine within minutes of receiving the "Defender Released" e-mail. I received the case on Friday and I must admit, it did not disappoint.

First impressions: The case is of great quality and a lot of detail went into making it compatible with all the OEM "accessories". The holster is among the best I've seen for a phone of this size and works perfectly with the case.

After carrying it for two days (and this is already my 3rd iPhone 4 case - I am rough on my phones): The case is without a doubt the most durable I've seen for the iPhone 4 and lives up to the reputation that Otterbox has built over the years.

Cons: The case does add considerable bulk to the phone and may not be perfect for pocket carriers. It does include a holster which works great and can rotate for vertical or parallel carrying of the phone.

Miscellaneous: I have no complaints really, but I am left to wonder if the silicone "flaps" that cover the earphone and USB plug-ins could have been a little more user-friendly. Sometimes they are frustrating to get back into their proper "closed" position.

Edited one month after using: I am still extremely happy with the case. I have dropped my phones a few times already and though the case is starting to show signs the abuse I have provided it the phone still looks pristine! I opened up the case this morning to clean the phone etc and to my surprise there wasn't much to clean. With cases I've owned in the past I would have a forest of lint, dust etc. that would trap itself between the case and the phone. The Otterbox has minimized that debris!

I am uploading several photos showing the difference between a "bare" iPhone 4 and an iPhone 4 in the Defender case so everyone can get an idea of how much "protection" and in turn "bulk" this case adds to the phone.

Edited to add: Amazon removed my pictures when the placed the phone back in a "pre-order" status, I will re-upload them again once they allow. I'm not sure why they state "pre-order" when it should state "Back-ordered, will deliver in xx to xx weeks", but I digress. OtterBox Defender Case iPhone 4 (Blue/Black, Fits AT&T iPhone 4)

Otterbox defender for my iPhone 3Gs was the best thing I ever did for that phone! It fell into and was completely submerged in a 5 gallon pot of BBQ sauce - and rinsed off with the sprayer in the sink. Phone continued to operate flawlessly!

As soon as I bought iPhone 4 - I immediately ordered an otterbox case for it. It took over a month to arrive and when it finally did - I could immediately tell it did not offer the same amount of protection as the Otterbox for the 3Gs.

I'm constantly fighting the rubber covering -- if I pull it out of my pocket I have to push it back into place all the way around the phone.

The screen protector is better -- the bubbles are gone from the previous version. I like that.

The flaps that cover the charger port and headphone jack suck! They never stay in place and to get them to lock down is a pain. Debris can easily infiltrate into the case through these openings. I find that I have to take the phone completely out of the case and clean the phone and the case more often than I ever did with the other phone/otterbox.

Maybe they were just in a hurry to get a case that would fit the quick arrival of iPhone4. I hope the case is revamped and the thought is completed. I really need and want the kind of protection and rugged durability that the other case provided for 3Gs.

Regardless of what I hate about this case, it's still the BEST case that you can put on the new iPhone 4 if you're hard on your phone. Just wish it was better...

**** 02/12 update: I bought an AT&T case to get one fast at a discount and it works fine until the price drops on the universal case. The Verizon silent mode button is partially covered so if you use silent mode a lot and have big fingers, you might want to wait or buy from the manufacturer. The headphone jack doesn't align quite right with my Verizon phone, but just open the silicone port. And now this is a genuine five star review. I really like this case. It is sturdy and protective, looks stylish, feels comfortably grippy and it was easy to install the phone. Box directions are minimal but Otterbox has a simple video that takes you through it. *****

I just called Otterbox and a very nice lady in Customer Service says they have a universal design ready to fit both AT&T and Verizon phones, to be released 02/10/11. I suppose Amazon will have these as well. Hope they do all the same colors.

Important to know because the Verizon iPhone has some ports and controls in a slightly different place than its AT&T sister and this case would not fit both phones.

Just thought you should know. Glad I did some research before I bought this one. Yes, I know this isn't a real review but not everyone reads comments. At least I'm not one of those tiresome people who posts a one star review because something went wrong with the shipping.'

Hanging Name Tags

These hanging Avery name tags are ideal for conferences. The paper inserts of are high quality and will take graphic intensive print jobs easily. The lanyards work great. I ordered four boxes of these, one of which came with tag holders that were slightly warped due to heat. They didn't prevent us from using them, but they didn't look as nice as those in ideal condition. After leaving the warped ones in the sun for an hour they uncreased, which was great. All of the tags looked fantastic, and I would without question use them again.

A note on producing name tags using mail merge: Word 2003 & Word 2007 have no template for these tags! There is a hanging name tag template, but it is only 3 tags per sheet, not the six on each sheet in the package. You will need to download the template from Avery's web page. Avery also offers a free add on to Word (both 2003 & 2007) that makes producing a mail-merge name tag much easier. I highly recommend you down load this free application named "Avery Wizard for Microsoft Office."

Check the comments section of this review for the weblink. Avery Insertable 3 x 4 Inch White Name Badges 100 Count (74459)

These name badges are junk. I love Avery products. The software templates are great and can be used in WORD to pull names from an excel file, and are extreemly flexible. You can for example make a column for first name in the excell spread sheet, and then in the avery template, make this 72 points, so their first name stands out. However, the hanging name badges are too thin, the corners break off, and the pre-pounched holes are not punched well. You feed a string through the holes that has a metal end on it and it is not easy to punch trough the plastic (via the pre-punched holes). Once you get the string through the hole, you have to tie a couple knots so the string does not come back out (i.e. the metal piece does not work). Avery should punch a smaller hole, and it should be better punched.

I am in charge of registration for an upcoming conference for 300 people. I am just glad that I got the hanging name tags early to try them out, so that I can return these to the store and find some better ones. I do not want to tie 600 knots!

I looked at other hanging name tags that I had hanging in a closet from previous conferences I had been to, and I found most were of thicker plastic and many also had a clip on the back so they could be used for a hanging name tag or a clip on name tag. These are much more versitile and have no knots tied on the back, i.e. they work!

These name badges were excellent quality and reasonably priced. They were easy to use with the Avery wizard. The only complaint I have is the limited templates available to use by Avery. I was trying to place a photo and name on each name badge. I was able to use one of the templates, but the print for the event was very small. And that was using the largest font and size available. I would have preferred a blank template to use. I did appreciate that this item was available on Amazon for a much lower price than in local retail stores.

These badges were perfect for our needs. They are a bit softer and more flexible than other badges, an advantage, since some badges are uncomfortable to wear. Best part is the universal use of Avery templates in all Word Processing programs making for a perfect fit!

Would definitely buy again.

Being a conference registration person and having to make up name badge the cost was most important to me. While looking for the product Amazon had the name badges at a cost that was way more reasonable then if I went to the store to purchase the same item. I am very grateful for Amazon assistance in helping me afford the product at a time when cost is everything...!

These labels worked quite well. I used the Avery Design & Print software because I needed about 150 labels. The software is somewhat basic (which is a good thing) and super easy to use. The only issues I had with the software was when I wanted to re-merge to print a few more labels. Seems that the software saves the merged product, so I had to re-create the product to print more (different badges). All things considered I would rate this a superb product.

I purchased these Hanging Name Badges online for almost 1/2 of the store cost. It is the exact same product that is carried in the office supplies stores.

Avery changed to new cords but I do not care for the new length. It is about 4" longer than the previous ones. I hope it gets changed back to the previous length.

I recommend this product for your next conference or covention!'

Usb Charger - iphone, griffin

Thins is a great charger for the iPad! Remember, the iPad requires a 2amp.charger and most previous iPhone chargers are an amp or less. This particular charger seems to charge the iPad a bite quicker than the one supplied for the iPad by Apple. Construction is very solid and this is a high-quality product. The led light that indicates the charg is plugged into the wall out light is not too bright. Overall, highly recommend. Also charges my iPhone without issues. Griffin Technology PowerBlock for iPad, iPhone and iPod, 2.1 amp - Black

I have a Griffin Power Block Plus. As a charger, it works great. I like to plug my ipad in at night and watch videos, listen to music, or use it as an alarm clock. However, I could not get sound from my ipad when it was plugged in. I swapped out the cable that came with the power block with an ipod one, and the sound is fine. I don't know if it's a general problem, but it's something to consider if sound is important.

This functions with the iPhone 4, but it is not fully compatible. When you connect it, you get the error "warning, this accessory is not fully optimized for this device..."

Blow this off and get an OE apple charger.

This charges my iPad readily and appears to be slightly faster than the Apple charger.

However, as another reviewer also reported, I get no sound from my iPad when using this cable. For example, using the cable supplied with the Griffin charger, when I open my audiobook app, it says "Volume Not Available" and there is no sound from the iPad's speakers. There is sound, however, if I used earbuds from the audio jack. Also, it's only the Griffin cable (not the Griffin power brick) that's stopping the sound. If I use the Griffin power brick and an Apple OEM cable, the iPad will put out sound.

"Remember, the iPad requires a 2amp.charger and most previous iPhone chargers are an amp or less."--A. Skagg is correct. The damned iPad2 won't even charge off the computer USB. So, the wall charger is integral! Buy an extra, and this is a good one. The price of these things, when they should be around six bucks, is always too much. But this one seems well made and is not as chincy as most of those Chinese imported cheapies (although this is still Asian made). I hope it doesn't burn out, which is what most of these do (and yes, I unplug the electricity vampire each time I use it).

I have an iPad, and one of the things I like about it is that the battery lasts all day long. However, when I take my iPad to the office, sometimes I forget to charge the iPad at night, and so it may need a charge during the day, or I am on the road and I need to charge it while traveling. I lost the original cord that came with the iPad, so I had to find a replacement.

I did not realize that the iPad needs a higher amount of electricity to charge it than what an iPod needs and typical USB ports and chargers don't provide enough juice. I purchased an iPod charger thinking it would charge my iPad, but it did not work.

However, this charger works great with my iPad, and I am very happy with it. I now have one at home, and I have one at the office. I could not be happier with this purchase.

And yes, it will also charge my iPod!

If I charge while listening to any app that has volume, I get a "No Volume Available" error on my iPad and no sound comes from the device. This occurs as well on my iPhone and my wife's iPod. I've never seen this error before. Other chargers don't cause it to occur. When I unplug it, volume is restored. When I contacted support, they told me to do a hard reset, which didn't help. Otherwise, it is a very good charger.

Item never arrived. Amazon sent a replacement, even though I had asked for a refund instead. I kept the replacement but just yesterday I received word that I'm being charged for the lost item. Amazon keeps track of items that never make it to their buyers so how come they insist on charging me? - Griffin - Iphone - Chargers - Charger'

Compaq Ac Adapter - laptop battery, laptop charger

I received this cord a couple of days ago as my third charging cord for my HP laptop. The original cord broke near the tip. The second cord I purchased at Wal-mart for almost $80 was a piece of garbage that lasted only a few months before breaking at the tip as well. It didn't work great from day one and it was a certified HP replacement cord! This cord however, worked perfectly straight out of the box! With the first two cords, I had to wiggle, jiggle, move, tape, twist, and BEG to make them work. This one went straight in the port and began to charge immediately! NO more twisting myself into funny positions to make my laptop charge. I figured for less than $9, that the wires would be flimsy and cheaply constructed. I have to say that they are just as thick and sturdy as the original ones (and obviously better because the charger actually works as it is supposed to!) Don't think twice about ordering this one!!!! I know I'm glad I did! NEW Clearmax Laptop AC Adapter/Charger for HP Compaq/Pavillion DV1000 DV2000 DV4000 DV5000 DV6000 DV9000 G5000 G7000 6720s nc6000 nx6110 nx7010 Presario A900 C300 C500 C700 F500 F700 M2000 V4000 V5000

The charger would not charge unless I put tape to hold the charging cord to the charger box part and still had some issues. I can get it to work if I really need it for an emergancy but otherwise I dont care to use it at all

This Charger was purchased for my HP Pavilion dv6000 to replace my broken one. This product works very well, reaches as far as I need it to reach and hasn't messed up on me yet. So overall great product and will recommend to anyone else in need of the same type of charger.

I have purchased numerous DV series adapters because I work on them for my customers. I have had the gambit of bad to good.

Usually, they might fit one of the products and not another. Or they are somewhat loose, but still work to a degree.

This didn't fit a single DV series laptop. Didn't turn the light blue on a single one. Ultimately, it is total junk because what can you do with it if it doesn't fit?

I needed a new powercord because my old one was worn out. A few years ago i was going to purchase one and they were $100.00 so when I started looking I was expecting the worst. Found this one and thought it was too good to be true. Thought I would give it a try. For the price I thought it wouldn't hurt if it didn't work. Needless to say I got it in the mail and it works beautifully!!! I was so thrilled. It arrived in good time and is working like a charm. I will be buying from this seller again if the need arises. I hope it doesn't but just in case I am keeping it in my favs!! Thanks for a great product at a wonderful price!!!

do not buy from this vendor. item did not fit the DV6000 as it specified it would. I requested a refund and heard not another word about it. In fact, I was asked to take pictures of the item not fitting. Ridiculous. Buy from someone else.

My HP charger wire broke due to constant moving around and wanted to get a new one but didn't really want to spend a lot. Found this charger at my Fav spot - Amazon.com, read reviews, bought one instantly and I'm happy I did.

Only complaint I've is the length of cord, its short, but I can live with it.

This is my second charger, it works great, fits my hp laptop perfectly and the cable is plenty long. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was that it gets very, very hot and that could be why I needed a second one. Overall it is a very good alternative to the very expensive OEM replacement from hp. - Laptop Battery - Ac Power Adapter - Laptop Charger - Adapter'

Audio Cables - ipod, rca

It's a practical solution to the simplest of problems. But finding a 25' version of this cable is not very easy to find. Being able to place my Sirius radio receiver close to the antennae source and still able to connect it to my AV receiver across the room was the completion of my entertainment center. Cables Unlimited Stereo 3.5mm To 2 RCA Cable (25 feet, Black) AUD-1200-25

A 25ft RCA to mini stereo cable, what's not to like. Finding dependable cables at this price is almost impossible, yet they were dependable. If you're looking for a basic audio connection from a PC/laptop to your TV/Receiver this is what you need. Excellent pricing and shipping.

When I purchased a used 2005 Honda Odyssey, I was disappointed with its lack of support of iPod and mp3 devices, especially after trading in a vehicle with these capabilities for it, but I wasn't about to purchase and install a new system and lose the six-disc changer or screw up the navigation or DVD systems. When I found that there was an auxiliary port in the back of the van for the last row of seats, I quickly found and purchased this. It does what I need it to and I barely even notice the fact that it is plugged in back there instead of in the front.

I bought this so I can hook up my MP3 to my stereo, since most of my favorite music is now digital. I'm thrilled with it. I can be anywhere in the room or even outside and control the MP3 when it's connceted. One of the best things I ever bought! - Rca To Miniplug Adapter - Rca - Adaptor - Ipod'

Pedal Keyboard - keyboard sustain pedal, pedals

We got a Yamaha DGX-230 and the FC4 floor pedal for Christmas. My son recently started lessons, and he and my wife reported that when they tried to use the FC4, it didn't work, and they had disconnected it.

I plugged it in and tried it, and indeed, it was backwards. When it wasn't pressed, it sustained. When it was pressed, it didn't. There was no polarity or mode switch.

However, after about 20 minutes of Googling, I found an online PDF of the model 220 owner's manual that contained this snippet:

"Make sure that the footswitch plug is properly connected to the SUSTAIN jack BEFORE turning on the power."

It turns out I hadn't bothered to turn off the DGX-230 before plugging it in. When I followed the instructions, everything worked fine.

I also noted this caution as well:

"Do not press the footswitch while turning the power on. Doing this changes the recognized polarity of the footswitch, resulting in reversed footswitch operation."

So, although the FC4 apparently doesn't have a polarity switch, the DGX-230 can switch its OWN polarity.

Other models of course may work differently.

So far I'm quite pleased with both Yamaha products and I'm impressed with the thought Yamaha has put in to them. Yamaha FC4 Piano Style Foot Pedal

The sustain pedal that comes standard with the Yamaha electric pianos are definately lacking. There're small, light and don't feel quite right. The FC-4 has a good all around feel, more like a true piano pedal. It's also heavier and won't move around the floor while playing. Well worth the money.

I was happy with this pedal until it just stopped working one day, almost five months exactly from day I ordered it. It completely stopped sustaining notes, pressing on it had no effect. I checked over and over again to make sure it was plugged in and everything. I practice 30-45 minutes a day, I didn't use it every single day but pretty often. I'm disappointed, I thought it would last longer. Instead of ordering another one, I went with the M-Audio SP-2 which so far is working just fine. Hopefully I won't be on here again saying the same thing about that one.

I used to love, but now hate my Yamaha FC4 foot pedal. I use it with my DGX-500. I have it alongside an M-Audio SP-2 Professional Sustain pedal, and believe me, the two of them just don't complement each other.

I have used this pedal with my other keyboards, and found that it hardly replicates the functionality of a real piano pedal. Yamaha has an FC-3 which matches the SP-2, but the SP-2 is the most economical and best of the three.

If you have a keyboard that supports a pedal, this is the pedal you don't need. Don't squander your money on money hungry Yamaha. Get your hands on an M-Audio SP-2, and play your digital grand as a Steinway.

Shame on Yamaha for their pedals, M-Audio has them killed! I bought my SP-2 for $34. The FC-3 goes for $70. In a nutshell, you can get two M-Audio pedals for the price of one Yamaha.

I bought this pedal for a used Yamaha PSR-500 keyboard that I got at an auction. The pedal works fine with the keyboard, providing the ability to sustain the notes just like a regular piano pedal. I've had no problems with it at all.

Read this and you will save yourself a lot of potential frustration. On my son's Yamaha keyboard I learned that you must have the FC4 footpedal, and probably the FC3 as well, plugged in BEFORE you turn on the keyboard or the sustain is always on and will only go off when you press the keyboard (reverse of normal operation). We had originally purchased an FC3 foot pedal and returned it to amazon for this same problem. I read many of the FC3 reviews only to learn others had the same complaint. I'm sure the FC3 would work the same as the FC4 in this regard so we wasted a lot of time. All that being said, we are going to keep the FC4 as it meets my son's expectations for $25 less than the FC3. My understanding is the FC3 is more like a true piano sustain pedal in that it is variable, whereas the FC4 is on or off, which is all my son really wants.

My church's original Kurzweil sustain pedal finally gave up after many years of heavy use, so we turned to this pedal as a replacement.

It worked for about two weeks, then the staff began complaining of intermittent failures. Within another two weeks, it failed completely. We replaced it with a Roland DP-10 (awesome pedal, highly recommended), while the FC4 went on a shelf in the office.

Fast-forward several more months. Tinkerer that I am, I "rediscovered" it on the shelf, and removed the cover to examine it. It turns out that the pedal failed because one of the wiring connections had NO SOLDER at all... the twist in the bare wire was the only thing holding it together. I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did!

As a result, I really can't recommend this pedal for professional use. - Pedals - Pedal Keyboard - Keyboard Sustain Pedal - Keyboard Pedal Sustain Switch'

Perimenopause - bio-identical, progesterone cream

This product is amazing! I highly recommend it to any woman suffering through perimenopause, menopause (natural or surgical); or suffering with migraines. It can be a bit overwhelming at first if your doctor recommends a high dose (it's a lot of lotion to rub in), but the relief is incredible! Plus your skin and hair will improve in just a few weeks of starting this treatment. I do recommend that you see your doctor for proper dosing, but this product far exceeds the quality of even pharmacy-made creams.Progesterone Plus Herbs (Bioidentical) Paraben-Free Creme - Fragrance Free/Unscented 8 oz. Pump Bottle

I have used this product for a little over a month and I love it. I have tried 2 other higher priced progesterone creams and, for the price, this cream is definately worth the money. I am dealing with menopause and this cream has stopped the hot flashes, the mood swings, and has helped with the memory loss. This cream does not leave your skin feeling greasy, it absorbes completely and has no lasting oder.

Karen

I'm 48 and definitely feeling the effects of perimenopause...I liked the reviews, so gave this product a try.

When I rec'd and used my first order it worked wonderfully. I not only slept better after just a few days of starting to use the cream, but I also didn't have to get up to pee all night long and did not have any night sweats. I also used a small amount around my eyes and other wrinkly areas and I could practically see my skin responding and plumping up again...it was THAT good.

After finishing the first bottle I purchased a second one and it just doesn't seem to work as well. It's like the ingredients are different. I'm still sleeping better and not having to get up all night (thank goodness!), but it doesn't have that same wonderous effect as a moisturizer. Oh well! I'll keep using for the good properties.

Also, good smell and isn't sticky.

I'm about to order a second bottle after a few months of use. I'm 46, an RN and have had terrible mood swings for years as well as increasing "brain fog". I've noticed significant improvement and my family has too! I've tried going off for 1 week a month but get major PMS symptoms after a few days...will use it daily from now on. That's proof enough for me that it works.

I love this product. I was previously using a perscription cream from a compounding pharmacy and I will tell you this product works better! I am just starting the peri-menapause phase of life. The weird dreams, fluctuating sleep and energy patterns as well as just being on edge when I miss ToM was driving me crazy. This product changes the game for me. I feel calm, more on track with ToM and sleeping better, and I won't give that up for anything.

I have been using this cream for the past two weeks. I didn't notice any difference until using the cream for 5 days. I did feel better mentally. I still am having the hot flashes, but not as severe. I will continue using this cream for another month and hopefully I will continue to feel better.

I have been struggling with symptoms of menopause for some time. Someone suggested I try a Progesterone cream. I had no idea what to expect, but I was willing to give it a try. I've been using it for a couple weeks now.

I was most interested in finding something that would deal with the erratic mood shifts. I've never had night sweats or hot flashes, so I can't speak to whether the cream works on those symptoms. However, before using the cream I felt like a 12 year old going through horrible hormonal changes. I now feel like a sane adult again.

If you're also dealing with mood swings I suggest you try a bottle. - Perimenopause - Progesterone - Bio-identical - Progesterone Cream'

Comfortable Chair - chaise lounge, strathwood

After reading numerous reviews on the chairs, i was a little concerned with the mixed responses. First let me say the price is the best I found. Second the shipping was amazingly fast, I think 3 or 4 days total. As far as when they arrived the boxes were a little beat up but the chairs were fine, plus the company can't control the shipping once it leaves. The directions were not bad but I am pretty patient and can use a pair of tools. I put them together in about an hour or so and that was while watching tv and sitting on the floor taking my time. The finished product went together fine, I personally had no issues with missing hardware, holes not lined up, and the quality was WELL worth the money. I have only had them outside for a day or two and I personally spent the time to rub them down with teak oil, $10 for a can at Home Depot. We also purchased polyester covers that we will keep on the chairs when not in use. I was a little worried about the stain leaching from the chairs based on other reviews so I oiled them and cobvered them, but I would do that even if the reviews never said anything about the stain. Bottom line, well worth the price, I bought them for my wife for her birthday as well as the chaise lounges made by Stratwood and couldn't be happier. Strathwood Gibranta All-Weather Hardwood Arm Chair, Set of 2

We ordered 2 sets of these chairs along with the matching table based on all the glorious reviews I read on amazon. I now think that most of the reviewers wrote their reviews in their excitement upon just having taken them out of the box. But the question that needs to be asked is: does the furniture stand up to the test of time?

We were just as excited as the other reviewers when we first started using the furniture, as brand new it looked like a nice step up from our previous set which had kind of gotten old. But after only a couple of months we already started to notice the wood cracking, even to the extent of giving splinters (which even if we didn't have little kids would still be far from ideal). Now after a mere six months or so, the table has increasingly started to show disturbingly ugly areas of what appears to be dark green mold.

The website tells you that there is already a protective coating of hard wood oil on the pieces. Well, if that is so I must say that it must be so minimal that it can safely be said to be ineffective.

The website also tells you that it is optional to apply hard wood oil, and if one does not it will not be detrimental to the furniture and will only cause it to change color over time and show slight cracking. Nowhere does it tell you about splinters, whole pieces of the outer wood layer coming off leaving sharp areas(in the case of one of the chairs, which along with the table I had thought were solid wood...?!) , nor is there mention of molding (all appearing within the first year of use).

We live in San Diego where we get plenty of sun but not much rain (although the nights have humidity). I have come to understand that this furniture cannot handle either rain nor shine.....pretty sad for outdoor furniture if you ask me. We would never have bought these knowing what we know now.

So if you decide to buy these pieces, my recommendation is; only do so if you have the time to add a substantial layer of protective coating on them as soon as you set them up. Or keep them covered whenever they are not in use. If this is all too much hassle for you, look elsewhere. Hope this helps.

Fabulous price, great appearance . . . but these chairs are not comfortable for lounging. These are more like a good-sized dining chair, not the large chairs I envisioned for reading the morning paper on the patio. I'm perched in the chairs, not relaxed. I'd return them, but of course waited too long to set up then make a decision.

I have purchased these chairs with 3 other pieces to create a seating area in our school library. We are very pleased with the quality and appearance, not to mention a price much lower than other sets I had found.

When I first placed this order, I was scared to death (because of a negative review) that I was only going to receive one chair. It is a PAIR of chairs, with cushions, and they are gorgeous! We ordered this set along with the coffee table and two-seater bench for an amazing patio set. So many compliments on it already! Shipping was very fast, and it was so easy to put together. Highly recommended!!

We purchased these chairs with the matching bench, and are very pleased!

Pros:

SUPER easy to assemble (two adults, one on crutches, less than an hour for both chairs and a bench with the "help" of an energetic 2 yr old.)

Looks a lot more expensive than it was!

Cons:

The cushions are thin, and won't be comfortable for long periods on the patio, but that's an easy fix.

The back cushions are.. odd. The cushion itself is big enough to cover all of the rails, but the velcro attachment is short so that it only really covers about four slats. This forces you to squish some of the cushion through the slats to fully fasten the back cushions.

The fabric the cushions are covered in.. I wouldn't leave it out exposed to the elements... Be prepared to either replace it, launder it (a lot), or bring them in each evening.

First, open a side flap on the outside box. This will expose two inner boxes, each containing a seperate chair. Then open the side flap of one of the inner boxes. This will expose the chair tied together with nylon straps. Pull up on the chair using the strap. Then open the other inner box using the same procedure. This will allow for easy disposal of the cardboard for recycling.

Now for putting the chairs together. First they are well design and easy to put together. Tools are supplied for the assembly, in fact they even include a screwdriver for the 4 wood screws.

Here is the easiest way to assemble the chairs:

1. Attach the back at the top using the two bolts. The correct bolts are the ones which DO NOT have the fastening nut on them. By doing this it allows for you to have the chair to stand up with much assistance.

2. Then install the lower bolt. The bag includes two hex wrenches. Use one of them to lineup the treaded hole for the bolt. Once the bolt is started you can remove the hex wrench.

3. The last step should be screwing in the four wood screws. I used a cordless drill with a screwdriver bit. Be careful not to strip the wood.

The set is EASY to assemble. Well designed. And the cushions good great and are also well designed.

I HIGHLY recommend these chairs, especially for the price. - Outdoor Furniture - Comfortable Chair - Strathwood - Chaise Lounge'
