Planer Knives

Although I have sufficient experience with Freud products to be comfortable with the quality I could expect, one other review gave me some concern as to wether these blades would fit my Grizzly machine. Well put that concern aside because they fit just like the original equipment. I am a big time Freud fan so anytime I can get a product of their quality for less than the OEM accessories I consider that a real bargain.

Ed Freud C045 15-Inch x 1-Inch x 1/8-Inch Planer Knives - 3-Piece Set

I have a Grizzly 15" planer and after planing a lot of hickory I found it was time for a spare set of blades while I got the originals sharpened. I checked with Grizzly and Amazon. Amazon's Freud blades were less money than Grizzly's. I thought I'd take a chance since I have purchased Freud saw blades and router bits and have been well pleased. The only problem that occurred was when I went to replace the blades I noticed they were a little thicker than the originals. I had to find a thinner wrench that would fit on the nuts so I could tighten the blades in the holder. After installing the blades I ran several hundred board feet of hickory through the planer. The blades were as good or better than the originals and time will tell whether they will have the same longevity. With what I have seen of their operation I would recommend them.

I just replaced the blades on my Delta 15" Planer with the Freud Planer Knives. To say the least, these are some great blades. I used only Freud blades on all my saws and they can't be beat! The price of these blade will make me come back.

these knives dulled after only taking 1/16 off of 100 or less bf of hard maple. delta knives were doing 350 to 450 bf of hard maple. I will have them sharpened and hope for improvement but I doubt it.'

I love these earrings. The stones are georgous colours and sparkley and are a good size. Over all they hang quite low and would be perfect for formal wear. They are really beautiful and would make a lovely present. 18k Yellow Gold Plated Sterling Silver Genuine Multi-Gemstone Round Drop Earrings - Jewelry - Stretch'

Thickness Planer

This is the first planer I have ever owned or used so I don't have anything for comparison but I like it so far. Out of the box you attach the hand crank and the dust attachment and you are ready to go. There are two dust attachments one to attach a 4" hose and another (diffuser maybe?) for no hose attachment. The directions are pretty well written and easy to follow. All the adjustments and work on the unit can be done with the one included tool that drops into a holder on the top. All the controls work great and are easy to operate.First let me say again this is the first time I have ever used a planer so a lot (okay, probably all :) of the snipe I got was user error. The more boards I put through the less snipe I got. It took a little playing around with and reading to learn the correct technique for moving stock through so I did get snipe on the first bunch of passes on stock, more frequently on the end of the boards then on the front. Most of what I put through was between 3 and 6 inches wide and 2-5 feet long. I did put a couple wider ones in just to see how it handled it. On a 14in long 11in wide hard maple glue up I took off 1/16th per pass and got no snipe or tearout. Then I put through a 10in wide 4ft long oak board and did get snipe on the end but not the start. I still think it's technique because it didn't do it on every pass and when taking off 1/32 I didn't get it at all. The folding tables aren't out yet, but they will probably help even more. I'm pretty convinced once I get the proper technique down I won't get snipe anymore. I'm getting more and more snipe free boards.I can't say anything bad about the surfaces. I have had zero tearout and ultra smooth surfaces on everything I have put in no matter what I do. The most I have taken off is an 1/8in while only taking 1/32in on the longer boards. Most of the time I had it set to 1/16in. Probably 50% at 1/16, 30% at 1/8, and 20% at 1/32. I put through a pretty good mix of pine, red oak, hard maple, and ash with most of it being red oak.The crank turns easily and each turn is 1/16in. The depth stop is easy to set and is for 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1, and 1 1/4. The removal scale is pretty nice as well, you put the end of the board just under the edge and turn the crank. A little pointer moves on a scale to tell you how much will be taken off. It has a little chart built in showing the max that can taken off based on board width, which is nice for me because I didn't know. The thickness scale is pretty big, easy to read, and easy to set. I only ran it with my dust collector hooked up to the 4" port, but it grabbed everything. After running all the wood through, probably about 4 hours total use, there where 3 little wood chips beside the bed and that's all - the dust collector had the rest. The thing I don't like about it is the dust attachment is right in the center above the outfeed so unless you angle the hose away to the side with an elbow or suspend it somehow it gets in the way of the stock coming out. But so far that is my only gripe. This thing is really loud but I expected that, it's the loudest tool I have. All the scales and settings where dead on right out of the box. I do wish the folding tables came bundled. Overall I'm one happy camper.Okay, I finally got the folding tables. They are very easy to assemble and align. Each corner of each table can be adjusted for height. The attachment points are spring loaded so they are also easy to take off and put back on. They do help in supporting the work and seem very solid. The front table folds up out of the way and stays there. The rear table however is another story. Because the main table and the back of the moter/blade assembly are pretty much even and the pin to hold the table is set back the rear table will never fold up and stay. When the depth of cut is set around an inch and the cord is wrapped around the cord holder the rear table won't flip up more then around 20 degrees. In my opinion this is a major design flaw, the main table needs to stick out at the rear by at least an inch or two to allow the table to fold up. DEWALT DW735 13-Inch Three Knife Two Speed Thickness Planer

Being a part-time tool designer for woodturning, and a former machinist, I appreciate good tools & designs. I've used the 735 with a friend making various woodworking projects. The DeWalt 735 looked like a great design, with innovative vacuum-assist using the planer knives for an impeller-like suction. But shortly into the project, the knives quickly showed wear and the planer made much more noise than it did when the blades were untouched by the softwood we were planing. I've done a lot of planing, and have owned other brands of machines & knew there were serious problems with these blades. When I inspected the blades, I immediately noticed they were very thin with too much backrake in the edge, which probably caused premature breakage due to unsupported steel at the cutting edge. There is the probability of setting up vibrations in the thin metal further causing additional stresses on the steel, and may be a reason the machine is much louder than other brands of planers (try taking a razor blade and hack away at hardwood and see what happens.). Shortly after that, the sproket in the drive system broke. Another closer inspection revealed a very weak, low density casting with poor mechanical design & strength, especially where the keyway was broached into the already weak metal. A second replacement sproket broke in the same place, relative to the first one, further indicating a design flaw, and another set of knives went dull prematurely ( I was hoping that the first set of knives had a metallurgical flaw, were embrittled, or some other fluke). I measured the depth of cut on the 6" wide softwood board, and it was only .050" ---less than 1/16"!! There is no easy way to re-machine the knife holder to accept better knives, say from a Makita or other brand of machine. Maybe DeWalt subbed part of this machine out to a company named "Rejects "R" Us" but this machine is past it's warranty and will be sold "as is" which is an "as is" piece of junk. But if you want a noisy dust collector booster, this machine will work well, just don't plane anything harder than fresh marshmallows on it. It's truly sad that with all the other great features on this machine, and DeWalt's great reputation with the predecessor to the 735, a lack of attention to the two most important functions of the machine (cutting wood, and feeding the wood through the planer) were neglected. The local customer service was poor, at best. Get this planer a better knife design, forged steel sproket, acoustic damping (it's really loud) and this DeWalt will be as good as the Hitachi or Makita.'

My brother and I gave this to our Mom for Mother's Day and she loved it. It's heavier than I expected and seems like it won't break easily because of that. Very pretty. She likes the neutral colors, that way she can wear it with anything. Crystal Deco Dual Black Kitty Cat White Gold Plated Pendant Necklace Jewelry

Bought this for my 13-yr old for Christmas - we have two black cats, one small and one larger so this was a perfect fit.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and size. It is a bit larger than I had expected based on the photos (which is a good thing - I didn't want something you needed a magnifying glass to see the details) and the crystals REALLY sparkle. Looks much more expensive than it was. The pictures don't do it justice. Chain takes it below the collarbone.

Would highly recommend for the pre-teen set and older, including adults. Might be a bit big and sophisticated for little girls (under 10-11). - Cats'

Laptop Battery - laptop battery, dv6000

This laptop battery is so awesome. I get on average 5-6 hours of charge off of this battery, which is way more than I could have ever imagined. Keep in mind that the 5-6 hours is also because I keep my power settings on HP recommended or power saver options when the laptop is not plugged into the power cord, which is what you should do when your laptop is running only on the battery. But 5-6 hours on average is amazing, when I used to only get about 45 minutes out of the original 6-cell battery that the laptop originally came with. \Now I don't have to worry about my laptop battery dying quickly and I don't have to worry about constantly searching for power outlets during lecture. I don't even have to worry about taking my power cord with me every time I go to class now. Thank goodness. This is a fabulous battery that lasts for HOURS, and if that's what you're looking for you won't be disappointed! Definitely a worthwhile buy!

The battery was priced well below what I had seen on the HP and other websites. It arrived within the timeframe specified with the product description, and worked well in my laptop. I am very satisfied with it and consider it to be a great value.

Great option. It was inexpensive and is working terrific. I didn't find the instructions so I had trouble making it work at first. But I found some tips online and got it working right away. I think some helpful tips on how to get the laptop to recognize it would be wise.

As most of the reviews suggest, this batter performs well enough after you first get it. As with most batteries, however, it degrades over time. Mine, however, has degraded to the point of being functionally worthless within 8 months of first use, which I think is ridiculous (that's compared with about 2 and a half years on my first HP battery). The battery was used pretty conscientiously as well--never set on any soft surfaces, never left running overnight. There's something to be said, of course, for the fact that this is much cheaper than you'll probably get from HP itself, but I question whether the tradeoff is worth it if you need to send out for a new laptop battery more than once a year.

Keep in mind that most people review this product a day or two after they pop it into their dying laptops and remember how great it is to have a computer you don't need to have plugged in all the time. It's fun while it lasts, but this product will not let you keep it up for long.

I was nervous about this product when I received it because the packaging was kind of sloppy. The battery was dusty from a broken desiccating bag. After I cleanned up the battery and charge it up, it works like a normal battery supposed to work. I am very pleased how much money I saved from buying this battery. I have this battery for almost a month now and it is working great. I would recommend this product to anyone. - Pavilion - Hp Laptop Battery - Dv6000 - Laptop Battery'

Shawl Wrap - pashmina, pashmina wrap

I ordered three of these. They are clearly advertised as "pristinely woven from the finest pashmina and silk", yet the label says acrylic. They are clearly advertised as Lauren and they are not. I emailed the seller, who replied that they would send a return label. I replied to them immediately saying that as I was going out of town could they please email the label. This was on January 5. I did not have a reply and have now left town so do not know what they have done. This is not only false representation, it is discourteous service and has left me having paid for goods which are not as promised and not knowing what the seller has done until next month.

I would never ever use this seller again and I really object to the fact that Amazon still have the false advertisement on the website. There is no facility for no stars on the review page so I am forced to give it one but it does not deserve even that. Lauren Solid Color Stunning Pashmina (Sky)

The shawl was delivered promptly. The color is lighter than I expected (I ordered sky blue) but is still a pretty color. But the fabric is not what I expected. I am going to do some research to learn how to recognize genuine Pashmina. I ordered an ivory scarf several weeks ago that is 100% Pashmina, and the texture is quite different from the texture of this shawl. The ivory scarf came from India and it is clearly made of wool --it feels scratchy on my neck. This shawl feels suspiciously like rayon to me. It has a label that says 100% Pashmina, which adds to the confusion! (The product description states that the fiber is a blend of Pashmina and silk.) As I said, I am suspicious as to the true origin of the fiber. The plastic bag containing the shawl says "Made in China", which adds to my suspicions. I don't find the shawl hideous, but I feel I just spent fifteen dollars on a cheap imitation, when I was led to believe I was buying the real thing.

I have not received my item purchased for a special event (wedding). I am going to contact the seller and cancel my order. The one star rating above is only being given because this program would not let me delete the star once it was clicked.

i was skeptical when i ordered 8 of these for my bridesmaids. the price was too good to be true, and some of the other reviews made me nervous about the quality. well, the deal was too good, but it was true! the colors were exact to what i saw on screen (i got the sky blue and lipstick red) the feel was fantastic and the shipping was quick and inexpensive. overall, so happy with this product!

pashmina? more like acrylic. I did receive the scar quickly BUT it was not as soft as i expected, specially if its supposed to be pashmina and silk. It came with a tag that looked glued right before shipping. Luckily I could take them off without causing much damage. I think the price is sort of fair for an acrylic scarf but it bothers me muvh that they advertise it as pashmina and silk when it obviously is not. the look nice and have many colors but they should be honest about what they are selling you.

Love it! It's soft so the scarf does not itch your neck and it's big enough to tie it many different ways. Love the "sky" and the "grey" colors. Ordered these for Christmas gift and got little broaches to go with it. Nice, inexpensive gift for the ladies.

I am awaiting a response from the seller because I want a refund. I ordered the "Sky" blue and it looks nothing like pictured. I uploaded 2 pictures to this item up top, so people will actually be able to see what color they will get getting. I wish I would have never ordered it. The fabric is VERY thin(you can see through it) and the overall quality is very poor. Is this Scarf/wrap soft? Yes, very soft. I love the way it feels. If the color had been even some what close to the shimmery blue pictured, I wouldn't be AS upset, since it was less than $10. However, I know a lot of people are snatching these up thinking they are going to be good quality based on the product description and a few positive reviews and not to mention how gorgeous the colors look and plan on giving them as Christmas gifts. I would be soooo embarrassed if I had given this to someone. I can get better quality from Walmart, actually, this scarf is made in china based on the tag, so I might be able to find it there. I'm glad I didn't order more than one like I was going to do at first.I will definitely not be keeping it. Lets see how long it takes for them to respond and send me a return label.

I ordered the sky blue wrap. It was the exact color which is great! It's absolutely gorgeous! For 5 bucks it's an amazing deal. However there are threads that I had to cut off. It's not that big of a deal for the price but I would rather be able to open the package and wear.

Ok, let's be honest here... do you really expect to get a 100% cashmere pashmina for 6 dollars? no. these are acrylic... but i will tell you, they are very soft acrylic, and the quality is actually pretty good... these are the same sort of scarves you will buy on ebay... a lot of specialty boutiques will buy lots of these types of scarves and mark them up tremendously and say they're something they're not... you are getting a good value for what you pay and i was happy with the seller, quickness of shipping, and my product.

I ordered the dark green (almost forest green) pashmina and received a kelly green one (not even shown). I emailed them to ask about it and was assured that they'd immediately send out a dark green one. 2 days later, I now have an olive green one as well.

They are still not the correct color, but I will end up keeping them for travel. Now I just have to figure out how to get the adhesive mark off them... - Pashmina - Pashmina Wrap - Shawl - Scarves'

Motorcycle - tool bags, motorcycle

I like to keep some tools in each vehicle. I hate it when something simple needs to be done and I have to go searching all over for tools. So I get a tool roll and visit Harbor Freight to load it up. I have a "Bucket Boss" tool roll but I think this one is better and it's less expensive. The clasps are easier to use and the construction seems to be at least as good. The little compartments are handy but I don't use them for sockets, there are not enough and they are not ideal size plus it would be hard to get the sockets out. I keep sockets on a little organizer they came with tucked into one of the wide openings in the roll. I have a set of combination wrenches, 3/8 and 1/4 socket set, pliers, screwdriver with a bunch of tips, some extensions, a wobble joint, and a few other things in mine in the back of my bimmer. I have room for more stuff.

The nice thing about tool rolls is they take up a lot less space than a tool box and the tools don't rattle around. Custom LeatherCraft 1173 32-Pocket Socket Tool Roll Pouch

I purchased this tool roll to carry on my motorcycle when I go on longer rides. It works really well. It holds all the tools I would ever need to do on the road repairs and more. It is easily bungeed to my bike, I would recommend it to any rider.

This tool roll up is great for holding a good number of tools. I use it to hold a full set of ratcheting wrenches, a socket wrench and sockets, pliers, and a few other tools to carry in my Pontiac Solstice. It keeps them organized and neat and does not take up much space at all. Solid construction and good utility make for a good product.

I also bought this to carry tools on my Motorcycle. I tend to carry too many tools, and my tool box would barely close any more. I ordered this roll up hoping it would hold the tools, and take up less space than the box. It worked out perfectly. I got all my tools in it, and it rolled up so tight, indeed it took less space. Win-win.

As someone else mentioned, you will be challenged to carry a whole socket set in this. I don't see any way for tools to wiggle out while this is rolled up. I mention that, because reviewers of other brands have mentioned tools falling out of bags. The bag is made of some pretty tough canvas, or canvas like material. Looks like it will last a good long while. Once you roll it up, easily adjustable straps snap shut to hold it. Then you carry it with the built in handle.

Just what I wanted for a portable tool kit for my small car. Plenty of room for the tools I need to carry and the socket pockets work well. Rolls up nicely and secures well with snap buckles. I'm happy with the product. Worth the purchase price.

they fit all sorts of folders to Swiss knives , even the champ , got my nice led flash lights in there , oil in the socket compartment and even a compact sharpener and Swiss diamond sharpener . the pockets range in size from large to tiny , perfect for all sorts of folders . Knife catalog collection dream product . Built like a TANK A Plus Quality and A plus to Amazon .

Battery Charger Aa - charger, rechargeable batteries

This is one of those things where if you want something cheap that works well, and don't mind the size or old technology, it is OK.

To qualify that, it is 9" long, 3" thick, and 4" wide. That is a MONSTER for the features this thing has.

It should also be noted that this charger works on a timer circuit. With the switch set to "NiCd" it charges for 5 hours, and with it set to NiMH it charges for 8 hours. The charging is at a set rate, so that means in a given time, it can only put out so many mAh. (it varies by cell size, using different contacts at the center point of different sizes of cells)

Here's a quick example: If you have a AA rechargeable, and you set this charger to "NiMM" it will charge at 250 mA for 8 hours. That is a total charge of 2000 mAh. The problem is that modern AA rechargeables are rated 2400-2650 mAh. So this charger will not give a full charge. A 2650 mAh AA will only end up 76% charged, if it is fully discharged. You can start another charge cycle, but if you don't remember to pull the batteries out part-way into it, you will be overcharging them.

As a simple charger, it works. But battery technology marches on. Capacities get higher. My recommendation is to invest in a peak detecting charger.

I use a Multiplex LN5014, with a battery holder from Radio Shack. Of course that is a $75 charger, and requires a separate power supply. But I'm sure there are other options available in an inexpensive charger. Tenergy T-1199B Universal Ni-MH & Ni-Cd Battery Charger With Timer Control

We've had this charger for 4 - 5 years and it's still going strong. We kinda had doubts given the price but we were wrong!

We use this charger daily for D's, AA's and AAA's. You can charge one battery at a time if need be. It'll do up to 4 D's, 4 C's, 4 AA's, 4 AAA's or 2 9v's. The vendor, the Battery Superstore, has great customer service.

The Tenergy D cells (9000 mah) that we bought with this charger are still going strong - that's after almost daily use.

Update December 2009 - still going strong!

This would have gotten a 5 star if it charged faster. 8 hours is a bit long, but what can I expect for the price. I wish you could charge more than 4 AA or AAA batteries at the same time.

But other than me wanting the world and being too cheap to pay for it, I am happy with this charger. I am considering buying another so I can charge more batteries at the same time. I can purchase two more of these and still save money over the cost of other charging units.

This tech-grrl has a sophisticated fast charger that charges VERY rapidly and is the best thing ever, but I needed a slower charger that charges batteries around 8 hours to initially charge new batteries or ones that've been sitting around disused for some months. The reason is that the batteries will last a lot longer that way. Once charged with this unit I can then use my fast smart charger regularly without burning life out of the batteries. I wouldn't use this charger as the primary one because it charges on a 8 hour or 4 hour timer instead of having a microprocessor that senses when the battery is topped off, so depending on the battery it could be overcharged or undercharged both of which means shorter life.

I've been a profession tech chick for over 20 years and know battery technologies inside out and advise clients about what's best for their applications.

Does a really good job, I've used the charger a few times now. It actually charges the batteries a lot better than other chargers have in the past (AA & AAA). The only thing me at first is the fact that you have to plug it in every time you put in another set of batteries. But, that is necessary for safety purposes so that you can't get shocked easily. Also, I had a tendency to leave other chargers plugged in when not charging batteries so I just eliminated another energy vampire, cool...

I needed a special battery charger for Ni-Cd which I use in my outside patio lights.

I replace these batteries after about a year and the new batteries need to be fully charged before I change them. So I was looking for a cheaper charger as I already have a battery charger (but not for Ni-Cd's). This was a decent looking unit and I thought it would be a cheap plastic alternative to the expensive ones. It turned out that I was extremely surprised at the quality and it actually works great. One of my better purchases value wise. Recharges Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh batteries...not for other types.

I bought a package of the following,

T-1199B Universal Battery Charger With Timer Control + 8 Tenergy D 10000 mAh High Capacity Batteries.

I also bought a package that had just one more 4-cell charger. That way, I could put all eight D-cells on charge simultaneously.

Charging those batteries with the bundled chargers, I became concerned that the batteries are being charged unevenly. I noticed that the batteries felt to have different temperatures, so I measured them all with my (kitchen) infrared non-contact thermometer. Right now, the four D cells in one of the chargers showed these temperatures, Fahrenheit: 110 F, 97 F, 92 F, 88 F. The other charger has four more D cells, which show temperatures in a similar progression. Both chargers have made the room smell of hot electronic components - many of you know what I mean.

The power supply end of the two chargers indicated 118 F and 120 F, respectively, just now. I checked the end with a slots in the case for air to circulate, and the temperatures I reported are the highest indications that my thermometer showed as I scanned over the case.

I suppose that I am getting my money's worth, because these chargers were cheap (particularly when bundled with the D cells). And, the batteries must be charging, since they are warm. (The room is only about 77 F.)

Note that, as other reviewers already said, this charger does not monitor the batteries and charge them until they are full. This charger only charges its batteries for a fixed time period, with no regard to what the batteries need. That does, indeed, protect the batteries from cooking indefinitely on the charging current. However, that behavior is dumb (ignores the condition of the batteries) and can subject batteries to harmful continued charging when they are full.

I'm not happy, and I have now ordered a better charger! (Amazon didn't offer one, that I could see.)

Wood Carving - carving, sharp

I use Two Cherries chisels myself, however I wanted to get these for my son for his first set. I was very pleasantly supprised with the quality so I decided to write this review. I tried them out and the steel is suprisingly good, they are not thick and clunky like other "beginner" sets, and they are very nicely and accurately ground, fairly sharp and seemed to hold their edge. (Of course I would not expect any chisel to be perfectly sharp out of the box - except perhaps a Cherry). The handles are nice, although not intended for hard use. The profiles are good for a beginner.

These are good enough that I am planning to get another set of these for myself, and the larger sizes also - one can never have enough different profiles... for the price of less than one Two-Cherries chisel.

These chisels are made in Tiawan, not the mainland - and it shows. Wood Carvers Basic Tool Set With Straight Handles- 6 Piece

I am a beginner when it comes to wood carving but I can say this set is worth every penny. I bought a basic set when I first started and they are not even close in quality to this six piece set. I have carved a complete table top and they are still sharpe. I haven't figured out how to use all of the gouges yet...but the others make up for it ten times. They cut through the wood with ease compared to the other beginner sets I have. 5 Stars!!!!!

these wood cutting tools are great fun, and are still as sharp as ever 6 months after purchase. only the v-wedge has dulled a bit. the metal shanks do not slip in their handles. so, surprising quality for such a good deal.

I love these carving tools. I needed them through my first class of printmaking where we did wood-blocks and I didn't need to sharpen or replace them once in the entire semester - fantastic. These are clearly good quality, and I'm still using them for my other side-projects.

These are good quality steel and made in Taiwan. They are really sharp, be carefull with the flat one and the angled wedge one. The flat one slipped and went right through my leather glove and (thankfully) only a small part of my finger before I could recoil. Don't use them if you are tired or if there are bugs flying around you.

You should sharpen them if it gets hard to press, cause they really shouldn't require much pressure to cut. I was carving white oak and it worked pretty well, which I think is a good test of how sharp and durable they are. Maybe oil them a bit every now and then cause they are carbon steel, which is better for durable cutting edges but not as good for stain and rust-resistance.

Well to start I think the set was going to be just another old set that I would use till I could upgrade. But to be honest I really am suprised at the quality of the tools. Which means they will not just sit they will actually just be an extention of any new sets to come. Not to mention how sharp most of them were when I got them out of the box. I did on the other hand have one tool that could have been sharper. Although for the price I paid i can deal with that. Also a quality sharpening system is a must for anyone that wants to carve for more than a phase. So anyone thinking of buying this item for a gift might want to concider getting a sharpening stone. One that is medium on one side and fine one the other would be my advise. But who ever might get these will enjoy them I would think. And as for the 5 stars.I figure for the price paid and the quality I got and the only downfall I seen was one not being as sharp as the rest i will go 5 stars. - Chisel - Carving - Sharp - Wood Carving'

Garmin Accessories - gps mount, garmin nuvi 200

Of course I got a mount with my Garmin 205w, but I wanted to use it in two vehicles. I bought the extra one to use in my work truck when needed. It just makes is one less item to forget to get when transferring the unit back and forth between the two vehicles. ChargerCity GPS Garmin Nuvi Windshield ball & socket suction cup mount & Bracket unit holster bundle for Garmin nuvi 200 200W 205 205W 250 250W 255 255W 260 260W 265T 265WT 270 275T 285 285w 285t 285wt (Direct Replacement Warranty)

Beware of this product, I mounted the suction to my windshield and as soon as I put it on the suction piece broke off from the mount. I normally don't complain, but to have a product break in less than 5 minutes of having it in my hands is frustrating at best.

Do not buy anything from this seller.

My Garmin Vehicle Suction Cup Mount, which I bought from this company when it delivered it was strange that the protective foil on the holder as a stripped and restored.

When I tried to put the equipment in the same car was dropped after 2-3 minutes.

I tried to clean it and ask for another glass but again dropped.

Obviously someone has returned a product that was later sold to me.

Truly pathetic and miserable for 5-6 $

I can't really complain much because the cost (not incl shipping) was a few cents, but, MAN, they really don't make them like they used to. I'm not going to deal with it any more. I'm just going to buy a whole new friction holder/stand.

This suction mount is strongly holds in place just as well or better than the original that came with my Garmin device. The technical description on Amazon.com included a disc mount but I didn't receive a disc mount with my package. So I emailed the seller, and they promptly apologized and sent me a disc mount for the dashboard. Excellent customer service!

Item appears identical to factory unit. GPS fits perfectly into it. the factory unit "pulled" apart from the suction cup after about a year. this unit failed 4 months after purchase. Usage was occasional, at best. I have no choice but to purchase another one. hope it lasts longer though.

I had thrown away my original one, thought I would never use it. Stupid me. Anyways, I ordered this one. Was packaged in a bubble envelope, took it out, snapped the ball into the socket, suctioned it to my window, works beautifully. It's harder to get off of the window than it was to put it in there. :) - Garmin Nuvi 200 - Gps Mount - Dashboard Mount - Garmin Mount'

Training Gloves - weight lifting gloves, training gloves

When I initially bought them, I gave them 5 stars and wrote a glowing review. I happened to visit city sports recently and checked out the same gloves. But I realized that they were different from the ones I received. The ones in this pic and at city-sports seem to have better leather and more cushion. But the ones I received were very basic. The seams are different too. I am wondering if I got something counterfeit now. I am working out with my gloves and they are ok but if you are looking to get the exact same gloves, you might be a little surprised when they arrive. Valeo Mesh Back, Medium, 0.30-Pound

This was exactly the type of lifting glove that I was looking for because it matched the style of glove that I had previously. If this is the style of lifting glove that you are looking for you will find that these are an exceptional deal. After one week of use they prove to be very durable and offer cushioning in just the right places so you can focus on the amount of weight you are lifting rather than the toll that weight takes on your palms. I was also impressed with the speed of delivery. I am a soldier currently serving in Iraq so it was important for me to be able to have it delivered to an APO address.

I owned a pair of these very same Valeo gloves for about 2 years. At the time they were the cheapest brand of weight gloves I could find at a local sporting goods store. In my opinion, all weightlifting gloves are just about the same by design. They all have open fingers for gripping, a padded palm to resist friction and aid in protecting your hands, and a form of stretch backing for flexibility. The sometimes wide price range between the selections has much more to do with the quality of the gloves manufacturing than it does some new space age design. Weightlifting gloves take on as rugged a workout as you do. They constantly stretch under tremendous weight and pressure, and of course get soaked with sweat with every workout as well. Even though these gloves were used with every one of my workouts for a couple of years, the padding and Velcro wrist loop stayed relatively intact and useful. However I cannot say the same, nor are a fan of any mesh design in these or any glove. The mesh seems like a good idea at first since they appear to let your hands "breath" as you work out. But my own experience as to any breathing my hands were doing as compared to the meshes holding up over time is that the mesh started to come apart before even the first year was up. It appears to be strong and well woven, but I noticed it starting to fray after just a couple of months, and before a year was out open holes spread across the back of my hand. They still basically did the job for another year or so, but eventually looked and felt too ratty to stick with any longer.

It very well could be that my workouts were a little more rugged than others, but I doubt it. I am not an avid screaming weightlifter, but just doing some weight training to stay healthy. I feel these gloves, though very cheap in price just don't hold up and thus not worth it. For a pair of gloves that are just a couple of dollars more that do indeed seem to hold out for years, may I suggest The Harbingers 155 that I have enclosed a link to at the end of this review. I bought a pair of these after my Valeos wore out and they are still strong and completely intact after more than two years use. They employ a much more popular and durable stretch design for backing. They are very reasonably priced here on Amazon, and are very comfortable to wear and use. Excellent gloves all around that I highly recommend. One last thing, if you do decide to go with these Valeos after all, take heed of some of the other reviewers advice here that they do indeed tend to run small. Most men would take a large to an x-large in my opinion. Better to be a little too big than too small. The Harbingers on the other hand are more reasonably sized, and much easier to fit. Just another reason to spend a little extra and get some good quality gloves... Harbinger 155 Power StretchBack Glove (Black)

It is probably the lowest priced pair of gym gloves I have ever used. It gets the job done. A great filler item! Fit may be on the smaller side. I used to wear small on other brands, but medium fits me fine with Valeo.

pros: I got this many years ago and only now is it wearing out. Does a great job protecting my palm, ie the leather never wore out.

cons: One glove is bigger than the other. The fingers are too short. The netting on one of the thumbs ripped up after a year or so.

If it wasn't for the fingers being a bit too short, I'd buy another pair without a second thought . . .

Got these gloves as a gift and I guess you might as well expect the poor quality for the low price. The right hand glove is perfect. Everything is sewn that way it should be. The left hand glove is poorly sewn. Once I put it on, it looks like a knitted blanket with hardly any of the holes visible and doesn't fit my hand the way the other gloves does. If you're looking for lifting gloves, pay about 10 more dollars for a really good pair.

These are cheap gloves, so dont expect to much. Their leather fronts are pretty solid, but the back messing is pretty flimsy. It had already begun to come apart after only a few uses. You can still use the gloves, just doesn't look very nice. Another thing is the finger holes have started to curl in a bit (this maybe because mine are too big) but that can get painful when you are lifting heavier weights. - Weight Lifting Gloves - Training Gloves - Valeo - Lifting Gloves'

Right-angle Drills - cordless, cordless tools

The Dewalt DW960 18v cordless right angle drill is very flexible. Not only ideal for driving screws or drilling (with short drill bits) in tight spaces, but the general shape also allows it to serve well as a light-duty sanding & polishing tool with a 5" hook & loop disc pad attached (3M Hookit 9173NA, sold on amazon.com). After several months, my drill is still performing like new. Battery performance is also quite respectable with the current Li-Ion batteries.

For the reviewer mentioning a bad chuck, Dewalt does not manufacture that. Instead, Dewalt selected a chuck made by Jacobs - a traditional, well respected, brand many expect on quality drills. The included Jacobs model #30354 keyless chuck is quite robust, still little in this world is perfect. Your tool is under warranty, but, if you prefer to replace the chuck, the tool will accept most 3/8" chucks fittng a 3/8" x 24 threaded spindle. Amazon.com sells several, including that specific Jacobs model.

By the way, I actually prefer the use of a standard chuck over a proprietary one (made only by Dewalt) which may be difficult to find or replace in the future. Jocobs chucks are sold nearly everywhere and there are many compatibles available. Bare-Tool DEWALT DW960B 3/8-Inch 18-Volt Cordless Right Angle Drill/Driver (Tool Only, No Battery)

I like this tool alot, It deffiantly fits in my tool colection. When ever a job is to big for my comventional drill I turn to this. Would I use it as my every day drill, no but it works great for those times when your stuck working in a tight or weird spot. The only negative I have is that it dosent have a 1/2" chuck, But I know that and plan acordingly with 3/8" bits so its not a huge deal. I paired this with a compact 18v battery and it makes a huge diffrence in weight, and it also makes it a bit shorter than if you had an xrp battery on it.

This is pretty much a must have for any DIY'er. I can't count the amount of times it has saved me when working in tight spaces. The power button is designed well so you don't have to worry about slippage when using the tool. It has nice control modulation as well which is even more appreciated since you are most likely using this at an awkward angle. The weight is fairly good also and I don't find fatigue to be an issue with this tool.

I like the drill for what its worth (getting into tight places). We always seem to want more then we started with in the beginning.I do have a larger size drill when I need a larger tool,so I'm satisfied with the tool I purchased for the job I intended it for at time of purchase. Its a good tool and we always want more after we make the final decision.

Brotherlove

I heard this was indispensible for cabinet installation, so bought it for that. Now I wish I had bought it years ago. Useful and powerful. My only complaint is the lack of torque settings like regular drills. More dangerous for screwing. My tenth dewalt power tool, but not my last. :-)

For any of us who have used the "rats-a-frates" wording - and then some more choice words, when not being able to "drill that hole", "set or remove that screw", in tight places because we couldn't physically get in there with our Hands, a Screwdriver, a traditional Electric or Battery powered Drill... This tool does the job! It is a 3/8" Chuck vs. say 1/2", however, it will perform most jobs as needed, and does it with enough power, and your ability to grasp the tool itself to complete the task(s). How did we accomplish things without it previously? Buy it, you will be happy, and Amazon has the best pricing I have found. - Right Angle Drill - 18v - Cordless Tools - Cordless'
