Ipod Knock Off - music player, video player

I've owned this player for several months and have used it primarily in the gym and I'm very happy with it's performance. After using the touch calibration I have no problem with navigation and the volume switch on the side of the player makes for easy volume adjust. I downloaded several movies in avi. format and transferred them to my player it took minutes. I'm not sure how those other reviewers did it but I didn't use the included software, I dragged and pasted. The video resolution was great for a 50 dollar mp3 player, makes the time on the cycle go quickly. I divided music into several folders with titles and am quite happy with performance. Great player for those who wanted a little more but don't feel the need for ipod prices. I plug mine into my computer at work every night so I really don't know how long the battery life is. Coby 2.8 Inch LCD Touchscreen Video MP3 Player 4 GB MP826-4GBLK (Black)

I bought this item several months ago after my second iPod broke down once again, and haven't regretted it since! The touch screen may be a bit tricky sometimes, but it more than makes up for that by having none of the problems iPods are saddled with (constant non-syncing with iTunes, taking forever to eject from computer, etc), and it DEFINITELY has a much better price. Best of all, I can drag and drop any music or videos I want directly into the Coby, which shows up as a regular hard drive when connected to my computer.

The downside is that its "Favorite" folder (roughly the equivalent of iTunes' On The Go playlist) clears almost immediately after you turn it off or let it go into power save mode. You also cannot grab files from folders (playlist) and put them in the favorites, you must go into the All Music section and sort through the whole library.

But like I said, I'm still much happier with it than with my old iPod. No worries about disk fragmenting from disconnecting too soon from the PC and the Coby doesn't get scratched and banged up as badly as iPods do. The screen seems much more scratch-resistant than an iPod's screen.

And at such a low price, you're not making a big investment if you choose a Coby over an iPod!

This device is easy to use, provides very good sound quality and feels as if it is made with quality materials. My 11 yr old daughter had the player up and running in minutes. We had ordered another device of comparable price but returned it due to poor materials and construction but that was not the case with this product. Since owning this player, we've had to reset it on a few occasions but no music or files were lost. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive mp3 player but who doesn't want to spend a fortune on of the name brand devices.

It works fine, it just takes FOREVER in Windows Media Player for it to sync songs onto it. I was doing about 50 songs at a time, and it took almost an hour. But it plays really well, and has good sound quality. If you compare the touch screen to an ipod, you'll definately find yourself dissapointed. It's difficult to scroll through songs without clicking on one, you have to push a little harder to get it to play things. But overall, it's definately worth it for the price. It will be perfect for my little sister's birthday!

I bought this for my 9 year old daughter who wanted an Ipod touch but I did not want her to have wi-fi acess. The touch features are not as easy to use as the Ipod but they are very good for the price. Once we learned how to use avi and convert video it was very easy to use. This is a fun MP3 player. It's not an Ipod but neither is the price. She loves it and that is all that matters.

I usually buy Sony MP3 Players ( which I've owned 3 of them in 2 years) but I decided to try something different this time around. I decided to try Coby, because I've used their headphones over the years, and they hold up a really long time, so I was wondering how the Touchscreen MP3 Player would hold up. I really like the headphones that come with this MP3 Player. The sound quality on this MP3 Player is the best, out of all the MP3 Players, I've ever owned. I don't know about the battery life yet, because I haven't used it that much. I like how cheap this MP3 Player is I have the 8GB, and it cost me about $60, which isn't bad especially for touchscreen. The touchscreen can be iffy at times. Zune, and Apple (Ipod) are way too expensive for an MP3 Player, yeah the quality of the MP3 Player is better, but why pay $200, to $300 for one? I buy at least one MP3 Player per year, because they come out with a new model, about once every year, and I like to get what is current. This MP3 Player is defiantly worth $60. My Sony MP3 Players have cost me more than that, but Sony is better quality. I've always loved Sony, but I guess it was time for a change, but Sony will always be my favorite.

its alright i like it and the touch is okay the sound quality is the best. the paint on mines starts to fade away already and i only had for about 3 weeks i havent droped it and i always had it in the little pouch it came with - Music Player - Mp3 Player - Ipod Knock Off - Video Player'

Green Onions Supply - anti glare, kindle screen protectors

I hate glare. Like really hate it, if it was a person, I'd punch it in the face... well maybe slap it in the face.

Any how. I love the Kindle, but having to stair through my own reflection to read a book is a terrible experience. My own looks aside :) I want to see the words, not myself, not the sky above, not my ceiling fan, etc.

This anti glare screen protector is a great size, applies (and re-applies if you mess up) very easily and just works.

It's been on for over a month, no moving, no bubbles, nothing. If it gets smudgy or water drops on it or whatever, just wipe it clean. Green Onions Supply Anti-Glare Screen Protector for Amazon Kindle, Kindle 2 and Kindle 3 - 2 Pack

I initially bought the Boxwave screen protector as I figured I only needed one and it was cheaper. Bad choice. After several attempts to get a bubble free application, there were tiny particles under the protector which created minor bubbling. I cleaned it as instructed and ended up denting the product during the drying process. This created bubbles, though I didn't find them that distracting. Still, I'm a perfectionist and wanted a bubble free screen, so I decided to order the Green Onions product figuring it would be the same but would give me to shots at getting it right.

This screen was so much easier to apply. I had it on with absolutely no bubbling in less than 5 minutes. I fought with the BoxWave version for at least 15. Part of it may be that I have a better sense of the application process having already screwed one up (thus the beauty of the back up second protector), but I also think the quality of this product is slightly better. It seemed a bit firmer, fit the screen better (it's a tiny bit undersized whereas the BoxWave seemed a tad too big), and I didn't have to smooth out as many bubbles during the application product. I really wish I had bought this product the first time.

I found there was some debate over the need for a screen protector if you have a cover for your Kindle. After looking at the beating my iPod cover took, I figured I'd rather be safe than sorry. Chances are my screen will be fine without a protector so long as I keep the case closed when I'm traveling with my Kindle. Still, I'd rather pay the $15 instead of the cost of replacing my Kindle if I'm wrong.

I was skeptical about purchasing this screen protector since it costs significantly more than all the other Kindle screen protectors out there. After reading the negative reviews for all the other screen protectors that keep complaining about the glare I decided that if this item worked that it was well worth it.

I don't even know that this screen protector is on my Kindle. My husband said that it was easy to install and I have no glare in any situation. I know my screen is protected yet I didn't have to sacrifice any screen quality whatsoever. To me that absolutely justifies the additional cost.

My only complaint is that the screen protector should have been available for an individual purchase instead of just as a two pack.

I've tried a few different brands of screen protectors for my Kindle 2. This is the only one that looks exactly like the original screen. It's super smooth and adds no glare. Only compaint: it is perhaps a sixteenth of an inch too small in both directions, it doesn't touch the edges of the screen on all sides. It remains, however, the best screen protector for the Kindle.

This item didn't quite live up to its billing. It invariably leaves small but visible air bubbles under the surface. Yes, it comes with a little piece of plastic designed to scrape out the bubbles (or they recommend alternatively that you use a credit card), but neither really works. But it's OK. The trade-off is: a few bubbles vs. getting a scratched-up screen.

Great screen protector. I've ordered other screen protectors that claim to be anti-glare, but weren't. That claimed to be easy to install, but weren't. That left me with air bubbles that, no matter how much I smoothed them out, they kept coming back. I have been using this screen protector for a couple of months now, and I couldn't be happier. No glare, easy to install, and no air bubbles. This has been a great improvement to my Kindle reading experience.

This screen protector is decent. I just wanted to have something on the screen of my kindle "just in case". It was sort of hard to line up on the screen straight. It took quite some times to get the bubbles out. There is still one persistant bubble that just won't come out. I cannot tell that it is anti-glare at all? I checked out reviews on multiple screen protectors and they all seem to have some sort of problems. This one seems to be decent for the price.

I stupidly opened the package by cutting off the top not realizing that the contents have likely shifted and floated to the top. of course, i cut a quarter inch of the screen protector. *$&%^! Even with that mishap i applied it and it works great; its easy to apply (just read the instructions first) and it has a nice matte finish. took it to the beach and it worked great. i also like that they give you 2 of them. Unfortunately for me i chopped of a section of the other one as well. giving it 4 stars b/c i wished there was some warning on the package when re: opening (i know i am an adult and should be capable of opening w/o adult supervision but it would have helped) Happy reading! - Kindle - Anti Glare - Kindle Accessory - Kindle Screen Protectors'

Sandisk Sansa - sansa clip, sansa

I owned the first generation clip, and the new 8gb clip+ retains everything that was great about the first while adding all around refinements.

Pros:

- Overall build quality has improved, but especially with the clip mechanism.

- Files on MicroSD integrate seemlessly with the on board memory.

- The volume and power buttons have more ergonomic placement on the device.

- Sound quality remains great.

- Audiobook files can be sped up slightly to save some "reading" time.

- The interface is a little smoother and nicer to move through.

- The square trackpad makes it easier to navigate without looking at the player. (good for runners)

Cons:

- No cap on the MicroSD slot, so that could potentially get dirty.

If you don't need gimmicks such as touch screens and web browsers, then this player is quite possibly the best on the market for value, size, and quality. The Clip+ is definitely worth the few extra bucks over what the first gen clip is selling for now.

UPDATE: Having used the product for a while the one thing I'm disappointed with is battery life. The meter drains down to 50% at the expected pace, and then goes from 50% to 0 quite fast. I haven't timed it but i'm sure the battery life (using all default settings) is quite less than the advertised 14-15 hours. SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)

If all you are looking for is a great sounding, small, cheap mp3 player with a display and expandability options, then the clip + is your best choice. This is very similar to the old clip with the following major differences:

- two minor button placement changes (improvement)

- UI is a bit smoother (menus scroll now)

- volume normalizing/gain

- micro-SD slot for up to 16 added gigs (which is huge)

- a little thicker, probably due to SD support

- clip is no longer removable (depending on your preference, this is a good or bad thing-guess you could just rip it off and file it down if you wanted to)

As always, it sounds great and blows away the iPod Shuffle in terms of value. So light and small--great for the gym. If you need your mp3 player to play games, surf the internet or serve double purpose as a grocery list, then this isn't for you, but if you're on a budget or just need something that plays music and does so well, this is the one.

So recently, because I love my Sansa Clip so much for exercising, and I thought I could use one more, I picked one of these up at Bestbuy. I have used it for about a week so I can't say anything about the longetivity of the new Clip Plus, but I can tell you about everything else. First I will give you the cons since there is only one and that is also only about preference. I personally LOVED the sleek look of the original sansa clip, but that has been replaced with a sort of glittery finish on the front. That is about it and to add to this, everything else from the outside such as the plastic used has been revamped to feel better in your hands and is just overall better quality. Now on to the most important part, the features. The main thing that sets this apart from the original clip is the addition of a microSD card slot. This can take up to a 32gb microSD card, so if you were to pair one with this, you could potentially get a 36(!)gb memory for this puny little item. That is the next thing I will get into, the size. If you haven't ever heard about the original sansa clip, basically, Sandisk designed this line of Sansa for portability and mainly for exercise. It feels really good in the hand and the non removable clip on the back can clip on to virtually anything. Next is the display. The menu remains much of the same, but Sansa also added slotRadio compatibility and a nicer flow to menu if you're into that. Finally we'll go to the placement of the buttons. On the old sansa clip, there was a button the side for power and hold, but a lot of clip owners including me found that uncomfortable. To cope with this, Sandisk put the power button on the top and put the hold funtion to holding the home button for about 3 seconds. So overall, this is a fantastic MP3 player in any category, but if you are in the market for one for the gym, pass up the Ipod Shuffle for 79$ with no screen and counter-intuitiveness(in my opinion) and get this really nice compact MP3 player for only 50$ for the 4gb, 40$ for the 2gb and 70$ for the 8gb. Thank you and I hope this review helps.

This is my second Sandisk Sansa. I had an 8gb Fuze, which my wife is now using because she wanted the video capability, and I never used it. This 8gb Clip is just awesome. I love the Sandisk line anyway, and this is an upgrade (imo) from the one I was using, which I also love. This thing is tiny, has expandable memory, FM and several features to fine tune your music delivery, as well as some basic EQ features. Downloading music from Windows media player is as simple as it gets, as well as being able to use MAC OS (although for me, not as easy).

All in all, this little player has just enough features to make it easy for everyone, and also enough to keep most experienced users happy as well. While I have not had a chance to really stretch the battery life, my other one lasted waaay longer than I ever needed it to, and I suspect this one will do just as well. The charging cord (also used to download music) is very short (very very short). At first I was wondering how I would like that. I now actually prefer it to longer cords. Much easier to distinguish from all of the others. :)

Update: Well, sadly, the "clip" on my new player has broken. I've only used the actual clip one time, and the little hinge broke (not all the way off, but it can no longer be clipped on). I had no plans to use the clip (I just drop the player in my pocket most of the time), but was a little surprised at this. The battery is great, the player still functions great, but this clip seems a little weak. I'd still recommend the Clip+, but be very careful with clipping it to your clothing. Not sure it can handle it.

12/23/09 Update. I have used this player everyday since owning it. I have never overcharged it, and always use it on the most "power friendly" settings. Sadly, the battery life is far below Sansa standards, and frankly well below the claimed battery life. I should not compare it with my Sansa Fuze 8 gb, but that little player (awesme) will outlast the clip by 4 times over on battery life. I am saddened that I will not be able to use it for my intended purpose (long motorcycle rides), so it will just be my "workout" player. I will use my other player for the motorcycle. Oh well, can't win them all. - Sansa - Mp3 - Sansa Clip - Sandisk Clip'

Dvd Player Case - media storage, portable dvd case

I needed a case for my cyberhome portable dvd player and this case seemed the logical choice. The case itself consistes of four compartment: 1. Cable Storage 2. Remote Storage 3. DVD player storage 4. DVD-ROM storage. After unpacking the case and loading it up with the dvd player and accessories, it was apparent this case will not hold all the accessories that came with the player. I even tried using the DVD-ROM storage area. However, the case will not close if that pouch is too full. I think this problem would have been solved if cyberhome had added an inch or so to the width. In retrospect, I would not have purchased this case. CyberHome Standard Case for 7" LCD Screen

This item advertised that it held most 7inch screen DVD players. I bought Polaroid brand for my kids for Christmas. Unless you only want to carry the player itself and one unprotected DVD (Cases don't fit in the compartment for DVDs), forget it. The only other accessory that does fit it the remote which isn't of much use when traveling since the player isn't far from you. This case is a total waste in my opinion and I was very disenchanted. I would recommend buying a case specifically made by the company that made the DVD player that you purchased.

My whole reasoning for buying a case was so that my kids wouldn't lose all of the components and they don't fit in this one so I defeated my purpose altogether. I guess they can use them for gameboys or short travel.

This is a great carrying case for your cyberhome dvd player. It is very stylish and good quality and holds all your parts for the dvd player and even has a little extra space for some dvds. Mine came with the dvd player but this is sold seperatly here- but it is worth the money and is nice carrying case. - Organization - Media Storage - Dvd Player Case - Portable Dvd Case'

Swiss Ball Chair - ball chair, swiss ball chair

Chair corrects back and neck problems. the only thing is it is low and my ankles have started to hur from placing them under the chair. Would be great if just a little higher. Has really helped my back and neck from sitting all day at work. Deluxe Ball Chair

The chair was purchased by family members as a father's day gift. It was shipped to my office, where I intended to use it. The chair is too low for my office environment. Now I have this thing sitting in my office as a curiosity.

Some day I'll take it home...

I sit in front of a computer around 9 hours a day and have always had the annoying neck and upper back pain from sitting in a chair too long. After reading reviews about this chair and researching all of the additional benefits outside of relief of back pain, I had to purchase it. Since the first day I have sat in it the chair has been amazing!! I have talked so well about this chair that two of my co-workers have already purchased their own to use! It is become quite the trend here with other's asking me for the link to purchase this chair!

Thanks for the remarkable chair and back pain relief! I am hoping to have a 6 pack by the end of this quarter...

I have been told that I need to somehow make some sort of commission from all of the chairs being purchased because of my stellar reviews to my co-workers:)

I wish that I could give this item more stars. I have tried so many "ergonomic" and "healthy back" seating products but none comes close to the comfort of this ball chair. I love it and want to replace all of the desk chairs in my home to ball chairs.

I do like the chair, but it is a little squeeky when I move around. The chair was easy to put together, the ball inflated well. Small though, but I still fit into it. The only thing is that it is really noisy when I move around on the carpeting. Cannot find where the noise is coming from, but other than that, it is a good chair for me to learn to sit up straight.

Anyone with back ailments would find the ball chair a helpful relief. The chair back is placed perfectly for lumbar support, and the arms are at the proper height to not get in the way for working at a computer. If one's back is particularly sensitive, it is helpful to deflate the ball a bit so that it is softer and more pliable to cushion the back properly. This chair has been the key to being able to sit comfortably again. - Swiss Ball Chair - Ball Chair'

Onkyo 6 Disc Cd Player - 5 cd changer, cd changer

My Sony CDP-CE375 5-disc carousel changer had a major flaw which may or may not be present in all their units. When loading a cd in tray 1 often the cd player would not drop the disc down into it's play position and therefore the front info. panel would say "No Disc". You would have to press "open" and then "close" it again before the cd player would then do it the proper way. This can be very irritating to say the least. This particular cd player does have remote control as well as a headphone jack. There are volume controls on the remote which allow one to control the volume when using the headphone jack. There's also a jog dial to quickly switch tracks. You can play cd's, cdr's and cdrw's in the unit. A cool function of this unit is that you can change discs while one is playing. Also, this player has digital optical out if you want to record cd's digitally from the player to a cd recorder. The sound quality is excellent and I had no problems playing back cdr's or cdrw's. A good unit if the above mentioned problem didn't exist. Sony CDP-CE375 5-Disc Carousel-Style CD Changer

I have returned this unit twice to no avail. It has an irritating flaw of not recognizing/not loading a CD and skipping its place in the tray. Sometimes it plays all five CDs, sometimes only one. Not what I expected from Sony.

There are brands I trust and ones I don't. Sony has always been a trusted brand. But after buying and returning two of these units for very basic operationing flaws my confidence is shaken. I should have read these other reviews before I made my purchase, but because this unit is a Sony I trusted it would be a superior product. The problems I had in both units are the same ones mentioned by other reviews: When playing CDs in random mode the unit consistently fails to play all the songs before failing to load a CD and quitting. I followed the advice of another reviewer and bought the ONKYO DX C390 6 disc changer. I am hoping I have better luck.

This CD changer doesnt work well at all. We tried to play random, all discs and it just stops playing after about 5 or 6 songs. We thought it was just a fluke and have tried over and over and it does the same thing. If you are trying to entertain a group of friends with continuous music, it gets very frustrating having to get up and restart the darn thing. If you want something reliable, pass on the Sony. A message to Sony: spend less money on developing the new Playstation and more on making sure your other products function.

After about 20 years of service, during which time I never needed service, my SONY gave out, so I bought this one, hoping for continued good luck. My new SONY is not as simple to operate, which is not a negative aspect; considering my age, 76, and the changes occurring in the electronic field, I'm happy that I was able to master most of the refinements SONY has put in this new player and can enjoy my music again.

Stupidly thinking that SONY was a reputable audio company I bought and returned this CD player and one with more features this week. Problems? The systems would not read/play CDR - CDRW discs as well as several newer manufactured CDs. The "scanning - all discs" feature played unreliably - stopping after 20 minutes before all tracks were played. Coming from an era where you put a record on a turntable or a tape in a tapedeck and music plays - this selective playing is NOT acceptable. I returned both and purchased an ONKYO DX C390 6 disc changer (about 50$ more -well worth the quality)- wow what a difference. I will NEVER buy SONY again!!!

I just rescued my sister from the clutches of this CD player. She was having a few issues with it freezing up and the carousel rotation being a bit iffy...sometimes it would not go to the selected disk but overshoot to the next one.

Like most people who have no real experience with quality audio electronics, she bought this player at Best Buy mainly because of the Sony brand name recognition. After all, she is from the generation which grew up in the 80s when Sony was still making high quality products, whereas nowadays only their TVs are decent and their home and car audio stuff is mediocre to downright awful (the Sony Xplod car audio series in particular is awful both in performance and long term reliability, especially their car amps).

The sound quality on this CD player isn't awful, but it certainly isn't great---for a hundred and seventy dollars you can get an Oppo 980 which plays a gazillion different formats (both audio and video), is multi-region capable, and whose audio quality would wipe the floor with this player, as well as surpass most audiophile CD players costing up to seven or eight hundred dollars (e.g. a Rotel, Rega, or Cambridge Audio 640).

Now if you really must have a multi-disk player, I would recommend a Marantz CD4001, or if you want to stay within the one hundred to two hundred dollar ballpark, go to accessories4less dot com and look at their refurbished Marantz carousels (cc4300 and cd4001), or even their Onkyo and Denon refurbs. My sister ending up getting the Onkyo carousel from them for about the same price as this Sony, and is much happier---more reliable, better build quality and sound quality.

In short, the only decent quality audio gear that Sony still makes is their ES series of receivers and CD players, but at that price range you'd still get much better sound performance for the money from smaller audiophile makes like Cambridge Audio, NAD, Marantz, just to name a few. Whatever mass-market audio gear (including DVD players) that Sony makes nowadays is just a marketing-driven effort to cash in on their brand name recognition while using the cheapest possible subcontractors. I won't say they're quite as horrible as Bose though, because at least Sony doesn't use an 800% markup or pursue the same shady business practices as Bose (which once sued Consumer Reports for an unfavorable review). - 5 Cd Changer - Cd Changer - 5-disc - Cd Player'

Onkyo 6 Disc Cd Player - 5 cd changer, cd changer 5-disc Onkyo 6 Disc Cd Player - 5 cd changer, cd changer

Tegan And Sara - amazing, rad

Tegan and Sara's live dvd "It's not fun, don't do it!" is really good.

It contains a live concert with about half the songs off their latest album "So Jealous", and about 4 from the album before that "If it was you" and I think about 3 from their first album. I own the two mentioned but not their first one.

Anyway the live concert is great. The sound, visuals, and camera angles are perfect for you feeling that you are at the show.

There is also a cool "It's not fun, don't do it!" movie by Tegan and Sara about them touring. As well as a cool movie of the making of "So Jealous" their most recent cd.

There is also a cool about 30 min segment of pictures they have taken over the years touring and Tegan and Sara describing what they mean to them.

Also there are music videos from the album "So Jealous":

speak slow

walking with a ghost

videos from the album "If it was you"

monday monday monday

i hear noises

and a video of this song: living room, I am not sure what album it on. I assume the 1st one.

Here are the lengths of the segments:

1. Live concert: 45 min

2. "It not fun, dont do it!": touring movie: about 21 min

3. The making of "so Jealous": about 23 min

4. Photo Album: about 35 min

5. The Marionettes(little puppets of the band): about 12 min

Anyway highly recommended.

Later,

Kevin Tegan and Sara: It's Not Fun. Don't Do It!

Great for any Tegan and Sara fan. The footage is great and the girls, along with rest of the band, are hilarious. Definitely a DVD worth checking out even if you're not a fan. You won't regret it! I Definitely, Definitely recommend the DVD to anyone. You will be hooked. The girls have really come a long way and it can be seen through this movie.

When I saw Tegan and Sara in concert last year, I was won over by the ladies' great sense of humor and amusing anecdontes which made the concert that much more enjoyable. On this DVD, you get a sense of that in the bonus materials, but the concert itself has just the music. It's a great show, but I would have loved to see the whole unedited show including between song banter. The music videos are cool as well. Definitely worth picking up especially considering the price!

Not as good as the dvd included with The Con. The production quality isn't as great, and there's even more bickering. And the live portion edits out all of their stage banter! That's what we all love about Tegan and Sara!

But overall, if you're a T&S fan, it's worth your money. I can't get enough! I love these girls!

This dvd focuses and features Tegan and Sara performing one of their concerts live. The only disppointing thing is that all of their famous live on stage banter was edited out. They explain why on the dvd at some point. Though the live concert performance is considered the main focus, what the fans will enjoy the most is an movie about being "On Tour" that is partly directed by Tegan Quin herself. Its a short little movie of the whole band on tour, what they do in their down time such as waiting to be checked into hotel rooms or waiting at gas stations while gas is being refilled, other fun stuff the fans and the people never usually get to see. Fans can get to know their favorite band on a more personal level and not just know the music. Another feature of the dvd that will be a favorite for the fans is the "Making of So Jealus" movie, this is again like the "On Tour" movie and just really gives the fans a chance to get to know the sisters Quin more. Not only this, but the "Making of So Jealous" movie has optional commentary from Tegan and Sara themselves. And if you think thats not enough, they also include all five of their music videos (up to the point of the finishing of the dvd) and each video has optional commentary from the sisters Quin also. Overall, just perfect for any hardcore fan to own, and this dvd is also a great way for the new or casual fan to learn more about the band. Overall, a real treat.

One of Canada's best indie rock bands, Tegan and Sara, don't disappoint with their first DVD release. This disc offers a full concert with commentary, a 'making of' video with commentary, a tour video, music videos, and photos with commentary! There's a lot of Tegan and Sara here to satisfy fans, or anyone interested in a glimpse of what studio work and touring is really like.

The only thing missing from this DVD was the concert banter that Tegan and Sara are known for. For non-fans, I'll just say that a large part of the Tegan and Sara experience is them chatting with the audience, so I wish they'd left it in. I believe they remarked in the commentary that it was removed because it might become dated. Still, I think it would have been a better choice to have both the original version and the edited version, if possible.

I'm still giving this DVD five stars, because all the Tegan and Sara commentary more than makes up for the omission.

I became aware of Tegan and Sara through THE CON. After watching THE CON- THE MOVIE a couple of times, I was hungry for more and came across IT'S NOT FUN. DON'T DO IT. I was struck by how different they appeared in the older DVD. Sara seems so much younger than Tegan and almost like someone who needs to be taken care of. Unlike the Sara of TCTM who tells Tegan off at least three times. DON'T DO IT . . . starts with them in concert. Missing is the in-between song banter but it is still a good mix of getting to know their older material and seeing them play live if you never have. The whole CD is like their past history and THE Con is like the beginning of a new chapter.

When I bought this the only CD of Tegan And Sara's I had heard was So Jealous. So, of course, I was quite pleased with the song selection. However, since then I've heard everything else they've done and their set really kind of disappoints me now. Make no mistake, they showcase their talent perfectly throughout the show but come on, any fan of T&S is sure to have a few gripes about the setlist. Also, while never having seen them live (regretfully), hearing the banter between songs, like one reviewer said, would have been great. Never fear though, the various behind the scenes footage is worth the price alone and, honestly, serves as my favorite part of this DVD.

It's Not Fun, Don't Do It! is one of those music DVDs that has so much going for it that you'll be able to watch it quite a few times before you even begin to feel bored with it. Whether you're watching the show, either one of the behind the scenes features, the music videos, or even the puppet shows, you'll never once find yourself checking your watch or anything else. Beginner or longtime fan, It's Not Fun, Don't Do It! is sure to have something for all types of fans. - Indie Rock - Rad - Canadian - Amazing'

Point And Shoot Digital Camera - point and shoot digital camera, battery

If you own a Nikon S8000 camera, DEFINITELY purchase a second battery for your camera. When the low battery indicator lights up on your Nikon S8000, it means you have just a couple photos left. I won't go anywhere (that I am taking numerous photos) without TWO fully charged batteries. And, I won't purchase the "knock-off" brands -- only the EN-EL 12 by NIKON gets used in my camera. Nikon Coolpix S8000 14.2 MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD (Red) Nikon EN-EL12 Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery for Coolpix S1000pj, S1100pj, S6000, S610, S620, S630, S640, S70, S710, S8000, and S8100

I wanted to purchase a spare EN-EL12 battery that had the equivalent mAh to the OEM battery. The OEM Nikon battery has 1050 mAh as does the photo shown in the BatteryFly ad. The battery I received was labeled 800 mAh. The photo is misleading.

If you're like me and have a camera that needs the "custom" battery it's always great to have a spare one around. There are of high, manufacture quality and last a very long time. I've gotten more than 2 days worth of heavy shooting with lots of zoom focusing, etc. It's cheap and small to have on hand so you don't miss that perfect shot. Suggest buying the "external" charger as well, who wants to have to plug in a camera just to charge the spare battery.

This battery lasts a very long time. I went on a week long vacation where I was turning my camera on and off constantly/leaving it on constantly, and it lasted 5 out of 7 days on one charge. for regular at home use it lasts way longer than that. go with name brand when buying this type of product.

I was told it was a new battery but it came with no cap on it to protect the terminal and when I tried to charge it, it would not charge. It did come with instructions and it showed the battery with the cap on, and I do know Amazon got this product through a 2nd party

I bought this for use with my S70 and it works great. It is always a good idea to keep an extra battery around. It lasts most of the day. I also have a compatible battery I bought from eBay (off-brand) with a higher Nah (or whatever capacity). My suspicion is that the OEM Nikon battery actually lasts longer than the off-brand listed with a higher capacity.

Recommend. Nothing negative to say about this.

this battery arrived in a plain plastic wrap. no manufacturer label or packaging. was very disappointed that this "new" battery did not come with any type cover or case as camera batteries usually do. it also did not have any protective tape over the contacts, such as "new" camera batteries usually do. have charged said battery, but not used yet. i do not trust this battery because of how it was shipped & how it arrived without any packaging or manufacturer documentation. - Ry For Nikon Coolpix630 - Battery - Nikon Coolpix - Point And Shoot Digital Camera'

Digital Camera Case - case logic, digital camera case

I have a closet full of camera cases and bags, but all of them are either too small or larger than I needed for my Panasonic DMC-FZ35 Super-Zoom. After checking out all the available cases at my local chain electronics store, the Case Logic DCB-304 is about as close to perfect as I could find. The camera fits well, with room to spare. It has storage for extra batteries, memory cards, or any small accessories. It's lightweight, well padded, and offers moderate protection. A nice case for 'Super-Zooms', that is priced right. Case Logic DCB-304 High/Fixed Zoom Camera Case (Black)

If youre reading this you should be clicking BUY!! It ia a Great Bag with all the Right sized pockets and Hidden storage compartments for Mem Cards and Accesories It was the perfect Buy For My Powershot Sx30 IS, it fit like a glove andhad space for more.

I bought two camera bags to see which would work best for my Panasonic Lumix FZ35. This bag is more compact of the two and has fewer compartments than the wider Case Logic PSL-46 bag I purchased. This model only has one zipper along the top opening to the main compartment. Two zippers would have allowed for easier, quick access to the camera (for pull-and-grab).

This camera bag would be great if I wanted to travel very light and only bring the camera without the accessories (spare battery charger, hood, etc.) I do like the side zip pockets better on this bag - holds small items more securely - and the strap webbing is better quality with this model bag over the other one I got.

I've written the review for the larger Case Logic PSL-46 on Amazon, so I won't repeat the details here.

Bought this bag on Amazon, but was actually sold by [...]. The bag arrived way before the scheduled delivery date thru Fedex. I was able to fit my Panasonic Fz 35 camera and every accessories(battery, lens hood, hood adaptor, battery charger, len cap, USB cable) that comes with camera into the bag and they fit in just right, the only thing that doesn't fit in was the AV cable and seriously you don't need that in the bag

I purchased the Case Logic DCB-304 High/Fixed Zoom Camera Case together with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ40 digital camera based on Amazon's suggestion in the "Frequently Purchased Together" section the web page. The product met my expectations and I am satisfied with it. In my opinion it is well constructed and has adequate padding to protect the camera from the knocks that sometimes accompany travel.

I carry my camera in the case with the lens hood either in storage mode (i.e., reversed on the lens)or fastened to the lens in normal mode. You need to know that the camera just fits in the case when the lens hood is attached in the normal position. If you plan to carry the camera with a telephoto extension and adaptor attached together with the lens hood I don't think it will fit the case (I don't have these accessories so I am not absolutely sure about this).

There are two side pockets in which I store the av, usb cables, battery charger and spare battery. There is a zippered pocket in the inside of the top of the case where I carry my spare memory cards.

I found this to be a very handy compact case that just fits the camera plus essential accessories and is convenient to carry and great for traveling especially where space is at a premium. If you have need to carry more accessories or equipment then a larger case or camera bag will be necessary.

I wanted a sturdy little bag just large enough to carry my Nikon Coolpix P100 and a couple of extra batteries and memory cards and that is exactly what I got. It is padded enough that I feel my camera is safe in it. It has room in the main compartment for my camera with the carrying strapped attached. I put my batteries and memory cards in the two little side compartments and I am set to go. I like that all the compartments have a zipper so nothing falls out and I only have to open one compartment at a time. I am very happy with this little bag.

I researched for quite some time on what case to get for my new P100. I definitely hit the nail square on the head.

Holds the camera snug and has enough clearance between the top for the OEM camera strap, and probably a good after market strap. The padding feels like a good 1/4" neoprene foam, sewn inside a good heavy tight nylon weave outside and a silky smooth nylon ripstop style inner lining. I use the zippered pocket inside the camera compartment lid-flap to hold my many SD cards. The zippered outside pockets easily hold my 2 extra batteries and wall/car charger and cords. smooth zippers too. The case shoulder strap adjusts long enough to carry diagonally across torso. I'm 5'11" and not skinny. It actually will hang low on the waistline when adjusted all the way out. There is a wide flush belt loop on the back too. I bought the a Zipshot tripod from Tamrac that straps perfect to the shoulder strap loops on the back using the tripods attached bungee straps. This is a great lite and compact rig. I am very happy with this camera bag. I plan on taking this rig everywhere I go. I don't want to miss that perfect shot again. I've heard that one before. ;-) - Camera Case - Digital Camera Case - Case Logic - Camera Accessories'

Great

I have owned this light for one year now. I use it for fishing and nearly every day at work. At work it gets banged around and has survived. Fishing is another story. I have had 6 Headlamps and the longest any lasted was maybe 3 months. This one has lasted through being dropped probably 40 times, many times onto concrete. I have used it in rain many times. The use it gets from me is probably what would be considered extreme abuse. The battery life is great. The only problem I had was the lense came out of the front, so I wrapped it with electrical tape about 8 months ago. Doing that, as well as wrapping the point where the power wire enters the battery case and light housing may play a role in how this light survived being dropped in 3 feet of water- AND staying submerged for 3 hours- AND still worked after scooping it out of the water. That was a huge suprise, to say the least. The fact that this thing still works perfect after one year of daily use has impressed me.

BTW- the description says three AAA batteries, but it is 3 AA batteries actually.

So..... what I have found is that paying half as much for a headlamp every couple months ended up costing much more in the long run, as I have found nothing even close to as durable as this lamp is. Energizer Ultimate Lithium Headlight (3 AA Max Batteries Included)

Bright Flashlight - tactical flashlight, bright flashlight

I decided I wanted to stray away from those cr123 batteries & buy a small flashlight that used AA batteries or AAA batteries. Since I already have 3 Streamlight flashlights & 2 headlamps; Streamlight is know by me for dependability. This is a bright flashlight with a glass lens for its size & does not need those expensive cr123 batteries. If you go camping or whatever; you can get AA batteries in almost any store. I have seen when I had to watch how much I used the flashlights that used the cr123 batteries. The strobe on this flashlight would confuse anyone shined close up in their eyes. The 3rd mode would be great for reading in the dark. It even comes with a black velcro holster to wear with you that clips to your pants or on a belt. I might add a lanyard to mine. (A small cord that is hooked to the flashlight & can wrap around your wrist.) Both ends on this flashlight have defensive bezels if needed for close self defense. Buy one & you'll be amazed with this amazing flashlight! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This Streamlight double AA flashlight is bright and reasonably priced compared to competitive models. I like that it is based on AA batteries which are easy to find at any store. It is made of aluminum and is reasonably rugged without taking the "tactical" thing to silly extremes. I expect it to work well on a daily basis for a long time. I own a couple of the Streamlight flashlights that use two AAA batteries and this one is several times as bright.

If you remove the clip the light will probably fit in many of the typical accessory pouches made for the Maglite Mini AA. It does have a wider diameter back end than the Maglite so you may not get it to fit on all holsters. I use a "NITE IZE Pock-Its" pouch now and this light only fits when the accessory clip is removed.

Only missing feature is a dedicated place to attach a lanyard. You could probably put the lanyard through the accessory clip but would risk it pulling free. There is a "strobe" function that turns on if you push the on button twice quickly. The protective lens over the LED and reflector seems to be glass and will resist scratches and yellowing better than the usual plastics. Enjoy.

This guy is twice as bright and considerably smaller than the streamlight it replaces. At 120 lumens it is just ridiculously bright. It has a focused white beam. I've ownwed many streamlights in the past inclusing the 4AA yellow ones and the 2AA "luxen jr" and this thing is just a beast! Get some quality rechargeable aa's (not store bought, go online for high-drain/fast charge units). This guy is regulated so its bright until the very end. No long, painful winddown. The ONLY gripe I have is the transition from high to strobe or low. High is default, double tap is strobe, and triple tap is low. Low is actually good enough to go running with in pitch dark once your eyes adjust. It takes a little practice to toggle settings...you have to give it a light tap followed by a full PUSH to get to strobe, and 2 light taps followed by a complete push to get to low. It is always "high" when turned back on. This is by far the best 2aa light Ive owned. It just wrecks the old halogens. Until youve seen it you wont believe it.

I got this for a birthday gift for my dad. He is a auto mechanic and he loves it for working under the hood. It is bright enough to light up under the hood outdoors in the sun. For the price you can't beat this product. It is durable and only needs 2 AA batteries. I highly recommend this product. Buy it. Now.

This flashlight is everything it was described as in the Amazon ad. I use its super bright strobe light feature to charge up my glow in the dark fishing lures to send down to the dark depths of the lakes I fish for lake trout and kokanee in the summer when they can only be found in deep dark water. Great product at a great price. I couldn't be happier with my purchase on Amazon.com!!

After reading these reviews I felt comfortable enough to make a purchase, and wow was I impressed. For being a single AA battery the little guy is BRIGHT! It took about 1 minute to look at the instructions and figure out how to switch between modes. I like the pouch it comes with, for the price this is a steal! Excellent product, would recommend this to anyone that needs a small tactical flash light. Will definitely by Streamlight products in the future.

So far I've purchased two of these flashlights. They work as advertised. The features that stand out from the rest is the light throw in a pitch black room from a 1 AA battery operated light. It's amazing how much light comes from one AA, which are pretty cheap to replace. It comes with a Velcro flapped holster that can sit on a belt or you can carry in the same pocket as a cell phone without worrying about scratches from it's aluminum build. Overall it's compact and powerful. If you are looking for something light and easy to carry daily get this light. I switched from a Surefire 6P Defender LED to this. I have yet to take it to the range to see how it withstands 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP recoil. Considering it's LED there should be no issues with the bulb, just have to do a range test on the electronics and housing. - Compact Flashlight - Bright Flashlight - Flashlight - Tactical Flashlight'

External Storage - external storage, seagate

I've had my eye open for one of these since before they existed. I work in the Multimedia industry and require a large amount of space to store my data. I purchased this drive on August 8, 2010. Yesterday, Sept. 2, 2010, it failed. I contacted Seagate and they referred me to their data recovery team who offered to recover my lost data for up to $1500. Not expecting to have the hard drive fail immediately, I was still in the process of backing up my files and lost almost all of them. Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1 TB USB 2.0 Ultra-Portable External Hard Drive STAA1000100 (Black)

I was expecting this drive to be like a spare drive to back up files and store data on and allow me to edit some files as I wanted. I really was expecting it to work just like a jump drive does, but have a lot more storage space. I didn't want to have to plug it into a wall, you know, portable. I wanted to be able to take it to several computers I have at home and at work. What I found out after I placed my order was that these drives by Seagate have pre-installed software on them that once connected to your computer will ask you to load, after a two minute wait. If you install this software "Dashboard" and whatever else is there, you may have some of the issues like all of the other negative ones I read. YOU DON'T NEED THIS SOFTWARE, SO DO NOT INSTALL IT!!! Seagate must think that the only purpose to buy this drive is to do a back-up on one computer and to have it auto run every so often, hence their software. I personnaly am not interested in their software, especially everything I have read to date on it.

So I started by removing the software from the drive, then just using the drive as a back up and to copy some work files to. All seemed fine, then took to work and tried to update a file and found out the the whole drive is read only format, no update capabilities allowed from another machine. Did some more reading and discovered that if I Format the drive completly, (don't do the quick format) do a full format which will take about 1 hour per 100 Gig, so make sure you have plenty of time to do this. When your done the drive will be free of Seagate's software and read only formats for file updates. The drive will work just like a jump drive allowing you to take it from one computer to another, update files as you see fit, back up files and so on...you get the picture.

I think if Seagate wants to keep their good name, they need to offer better instructions on their products and they should not pre-load this software on their drives. All of the issue, at least most of them, appear to be with this software and not really the drive itself. At least this is my finding after I performed this format, the drive is now what I expected to use it for.

So for a rating, out of the box, I give it a 1 STAR, because I had to figure this out, and spend 5+ hours to format the drive.

Rating after the format, I give it 5 STARS!

I hope others find this review helpful, as I am a little tech savy, but no comparison to most of you smart people out there.

One advantage with the Seagate STAA500102 FreeAgent GoFlex is that it can be upgraded to USB 3, Firewire 800 or eSATA. This option to customize my hard drive is appreciable. I have a MacBook Pro so bought a Firewire 800 adapter for it. Though it is USB 3 compatible, the adapter is not included in the package and the USB 2.0 cable that is included is really too short.

I guess the software is pre-configured for Windows machines. Being a Mac user, I had some problems with the software installation, which was solved after customer support.

The design is good and being a portable device is a benefit.

Being compact it is really nice.

After about two months the drive is no longer recognized by the computer. The drive just spins and spins, making little clicking noises. I have tried downloading new software, diagnostic software, uninstalling and reinstalling, but none of this succeeds in halting the little dervish inside the silver box.

Nothing on the Seagate website of remote use. It seems that people either love or hate this product. I would not be in the first group.

And the pre-loaded software is pretty hard to figure out, the users' manual notwithstanding. I frankly don't like automatic backups, but it seems like you don't have any choice. I also could not turn off the auto feature.

Groan.

The hard drive itself seems to work fine, but the Memeo Instant Backup is has unacceptable bugs:

1- The initial backup (about 60 GB) went ok but

2- Attempting to backup again two days later resulted in an endless loop of verifying and backing up some files.

Online support from Memeo is spotty, the issue has not been solved and the bottom line is a product I can't rely on.

Seagate is out of the question for me from now on. - Hard Drive - Seagate - External Storage - Portable Hard Drive'

Cassette Player Portable - sony walkman, cassette player portable

This is the same item as the FX-290, now with a W added. Only difference is the absence of the TV audio band, which will be irrelevent next February. I ve had three of these walkmans in the past couple of years. One shattered upon impact to the ground. I didn't have the case on it, and with the other two the fast forward button, which I use quite a bit fell off.

That being said, this is probably the greatest walkman I ve owned. The radio cassette player is a dying breed and I m glad to see Sony put out a new version of an old favorite. With 35 hours on one AA battery, this is one of the great values. I still have hundreds of cassette tapes that I have taped from XM the last couple of years, and I still take my walks listening to those. Transferring to a CD is an option, but its too much of a bother. With the belt clip its so easy to just walk listening to a cassette, even though the sound quality is not as good as a CD,but it fits my purposes fine.

With AM and FM and all the presets, and a weather band this is a nice value for $30 and free shipping. I m glad I still have my other two units without the fast forward button. This is becoming a relic, and I want to make sure I have this walkman for some time to come. No MP3 for me. I m satisfied with this unit. Sony Walkman Digital Tuning Weather FM/AM Stereo Cassette Player (Silver)

My first prerecorded cassette was ELO's first album--that's how long I've been listening to them! We all know the day of cassette recording or playing is long gone; even CD's are considered done in this day of MP3's. However, that doesn't negate the millions, maybe billions, of cassettes that have been sold over the past 30+ years. Cassettes have their faults, but there are so many productions out there that aren't available on any other medium.

I've owned cassette players running $300 'way back in the 80's; these are gone also. The challenge now is to find a portable Walkman-type player that doesn't sound like crap, and that's last longer than a week or so. I came across a number of books on audio cassette at home and wanted to do a re-listen. Only a couple have been converted to CD.

I initially purchased a 'Craig' model for less than $20; it's also sold as a Jensen, a Coby, and various other names on Amazon. It was a piece of crap; see my review under the Coby name. Virtually useless radio because of tuner problems, and a cassette function that ran at whatever speed it felt like. Needless to say, an adventure for the book listener and worthless for music listening.

I came across this very inexpensive Walkman and didn't expect much for the $30 price. Have I been surprised! Now, the photo shown at the top isn't my model, as it has a TV band on it that mine doesn't have. Mine has AM/FM/Weather/cassette. It appears identical to the one shown.

Unlike virtually ever other cassette player I've owned, this one only uses 1 'AA' battery--not 'AAA' as other reviewers have stated. The great thing about this is that not only are 'AA' batteries ordinarily cheaper, but they last longer, too. I expected the battery life to be shorter as the result of only one battery, but I was wrong. Sony states they are using some new technology to extend battery life, and it's true. A decent 'AA' will last around 35-40 hours, and when running on cassette, around 30 hours. This will vary, of course, according to the quality of battery purchased.

Unlike the Coby/Jensen/Craig derivative, this machine uses digital tuning with an LCD readout. The tuner has functioned with complete band accuracy; none of that playing with a stiff little wheel trying to find the best signal. As stated in the item description, there are 33 presets for the radio. I live outside Houston and can't imagine needing 33 stations to store, but I guess it's good for someone. Additionally, the procedure for storing and revising stored stations seems unnecessarily complicated. Probably not for the younger, computer generation, but it does require a lot of steps. I will certainly be retaining the instructions! Actually, it seems equally easy just to set the thing on 'manual' and use the rocker switch to find stations. Regardless, through the included headsets, the sound is equal to those players I've had in the past costing 10 times as much.

The tape loads through the back, not visible on the photo above. It is a dark smoked plastic cover that flips open with a fingernail. The cover contains two little tabs that hold the cassette, then the cover and cassette flip closed to contact the tape heads. Again, much, much less fiddly than the Coby version.

Another advantage for this Walkman over some competitors is that it contains a 'rewind' button. Many players, compact and otherwise, have deleted it over the years. If one is listening to a book or music and needs to re-listen, those units require taking the tape out, flipping it, using the 'fast-forward' button, then reversing the procedure. The convenience of a 'rewind' button can't be overestimated.

I don't think there's any Dolby noise reduction on this machine, but I never liked using it anyway. I prefer a little hiss to the muddy sound of Dolby-B.

The tape mechanism has worked perfectly for me on a bunch of different cassettes, both well-used and new. Some players get touchy with used cassettes, and are weak with the power required. I have no doubt this Sony will weaken with age, but for now works great.

Headsets are an individual choice; I prefer earbuds. However, the included headsets give a fine sound, especially for their price.

One practical benefit of this machine is that there is an LCD battery life indicator included. For those of us who do a lot of listening it saves being stranded.

No doubt the market for these players will continue to contract. I'm thinking of buying another example of this little Walkman because I do have thousands of cassettes I still enjoy. Highly recommended for those shopping. - Cassette Player - Walkman - Sony Walkman - Cassette Player Portable'
