Emergency Light - emergency light, camping

The best one time use batteries I have found so far. I don't have too many battery operated devices in the house and these always seem to keep their full charge longer while in storage than many other batteries I have tried in the past to save a couple dollars. Energizer Max Alkaline, Size D, 8 pack

It's a name brand 9v battery, c'mon, does it really need a review?

With that, here's my review. :)

I use these for smoke/CO detectors and also in my alarm clock.

This four-pack is the best price I can find unless a local store is having a massive deal. The free shipping and lack of sales tax sinks the nail into the coffin. Further, I saved an additional 15% (bringing the price down to $8.49) by signing up to have these delivered every six months. After the order is placed, you can cancel the subscription if you so choose.

I use these in my single aaa battery powered trimmer (beard). I had been trying to use rayovac cheapos, but in the trimmer they would only work for a min and they would either stop or start pulling hair, and I would have to change the battery several time just for a single trim. So I bought the energizers on sale and they work great! A few trims now on the first battery and still going strong!

The Energizer batteries are often the best value for the price as these batteries tend to run longer than "discount" batteries. We have been using Energizer as our primary battery brand around our home for many years due to the consistent reliability.

One caveat - we've found these batteries tend to leak battery acid "easier" than the gold capped batteries if left in a device for any length of time after they have discharged. I almost lost a NOAA weather alert radio last fall due to Energizer batteries corroding into the battery compartment. - Lantern - Emergency Light - Duracell - Camping'

Samsung - samsung, repair

If you are handy with a soldering item, and are extremely frustrated with your Samsung LCD TV not working, I would recommend giving this product a try. However, before you do I strongly recommend searching for online information (YouTube, etc.) to see if your model/year has the described problem and that you can do the work yourself. Obviously, enough Samsung televisions have this problem that Hobby Mods came up with a repair kit. The capacitors are of high quality, and the kit is complete (except for the soldering iron). In my case, the OEM capacitors did not look bad, but I replaced them all anyway and reset all the ribbon cables in their respective connectors. My TV has been working since (so far 2 months). Hope this helps you! Samsung LCD / Plasma TV Capacitor Repair Kit, Replacement Parts

Obviously, this would be the cheaper route, as with anything a person feels comfortable with doing them self. But, to attempt a repair to something electrical, where the smallest thing done wrong could burn the house down around my ears, I choose to play it safe and have a qualifed tech replace the capacitors. - Repair - Samsung'

Gps System Accessories - charger, gps system accessories

THE PRODUCT I ORDERED WAS A PLUG-IN CHARGER FOR MY TOMTOM NAVIGATION SYSTEM FOR MY CAR AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE AND PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. THE PRODUCT I RECEIVED WAS A HOME OUTLET CHARGER FOR A CELL PHONE. I AM EXTREMELY ANGRY ABOUT THIS. IVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A CASE OF FALSE ADVERTISING. DO NOT DO WHAT I DID AND THINK THAT I WOULD ACTUALLY GET WHAT WAS DESCRIBED. Plug in Car Charger for TomTom XL Series 325 / 325s / 330 / 330s / 340 / 340s / TomTom One Series 125 / 130 / 130s / 140 / 140s / One / One 2nd Edition / One 3rd Edition / XL / XLS / TomTom GO Series 630 / 720 / 730 / 920 / 920t / 930 / 930t

This item worked perfect for a month or two. Then the connector then fell apart, rendering it useless.

That being said, for the price, I am ordering 2 more (replacement and spare) and being EXTRA careful with it.

You truly do get what you pay for in this case. But I like the price.

Advertising indicated car charger would work with Tom Tom One XL. It does not. Plug does not completely go into the Tom Tom so it doesn't work. Thought I was getting a good deal. Not. Can return to BargainCell for refund but shipping it back (and not getting refund for original shipping) exceeds cost of charger cord ($1.96). Save your $1.96 and don't order this cord.

Bought this for my TomTom One XL and the product arrived on time and was packaged in a polythene bag.

They're a little flimsy and the previous one I bought from the same seller lasted only a month, but it fell off my hand and I can't really blame the product; which is why this is my second purchase. But again, for the price of $3, this is well worth it. - Charger - Gps System Accessories - Automotive - Tomtom'

Memory Card Adapters - 8gb sdhc, micro sdhc

This 8 GB micro SD card is excellent. Not much else you can say. I paid for the item, it shipped and I got it. It works on my Sansa Fuze 8 GB MP3 Player and now I have 16 GB total. It comes with a standard SD-Card adapter so you can plug it into a camera or laptop, etc.

The price was right but the shipping was insane to Canada for an item that weighs less than 1 lb with packing material . That is my only complaint and that is on the side of the seller.

Thank you! SanDisk microSDHC 8GB Card with SD Adapter (SDSDQ-8192)

At first it didn't work in my Blackberry 8320 but after a little research I realized that I just needed to update the software to the newer version which supports cards up to 32Gb.

I wanted the card to hold music and photo's and it has done a prefect job. For $21 delivered you cannot go wrong.

I read a lot of reviews about items that come listed as "Bulk Package" and I have to say that so far I have no complaints.

First of all, the brand is SanDisk which is very well known. It's not something that's never been heard of. It's 8GB and has an adapter. How can you really go wrong? This item is so versatile.

I'm using mine in my Blackberry and even though it reads it as only a 4GB, I haven't had any problems. I have been told that this happens a lot in phones. They see it only as a certain amount that the company has 'maxed' on the device (probably because an 8GB didn't exist when it was manufactured), but I've loaded all kinds of photos and music onto it and have had no problems. If all else fails, I know that I can load the micro card into the adapter and use it in my camera. So, really...it's a win-win situation no matter what.

Definitely a good buy.

Gotta love how technology doubles every couple of years. These things just keep getting smaller, faster, higher capcity. Not to mention the cost has come down a lot on all this flash memory stuff. Why get a gig card when you can have eight?! It's cheap! Go ahead, you know you want to.

this was the best deal ive got in awhile! my phone company (starts with A and ends with T) wanted $54.00 for this card and adapter! it is the same brand and same model number. shame on them and good for amazon for charging reasonable rates. card works great in my samsung impression, and adapter works with my dell and hp computers.

I recently purchased this card for my Samsung Behold. It has worked really well and I have had no problems so far. The 8gb has been enough space for my music, photos, and videos. And the adapter was a nice bonus making it easy to swap files between my phone and laptop.

It's a great deal and works well in my Sansa Fuze. Holds like 80 hours of music at high quality. The adpator is handy too.

Might not be the fastest (speed rating is 2) but for my need it's fine and was one of the cheapest I could find. It arrived in 4 days

The card I received was a pretty blatant fake. Even if I didn't have a real sandisk 4gb microsd card to compare it to the bad ink job on the face of the card (some numbers/letters are incomplete) and the incorrect labeling of the size are pretty good indicators. For what it's worth, the card I received was actually 8 gb, but it reads so slowly I can barely get things to recognize it half the time, even after formatting it. If you just need a card to hold data for storage and don't care at all about potential read speed problems, this is probably a decent deal for you, otherwise I'd recommend you steer clear.

The product was shipped quickly and I received it promptly too but it wasn't the same as advertised. Instead of a sandisk micro sd card I got a hitachi card. The add on adapter was of very cheap quality too. - Cell Phone Memory - Micro Sd - 8gb Sdhc - Micro Sdhc'

Pre-kindergarte - 4-wheeler, grandchildren

We bought this for our son and he is only 2 yrs old and he is too big for it. He loves the toy but he wont be able to use it more than 6 months at the most. He is 31 lbs and around 32 inches tall. Also the steering wheel is too hard for them to turn. It was very easy to put together. Power Wheels Lil' Quad

I purchased this Lil' Quad for my nephew for his first birthday. It took him a couple weeks to figure it out, but now we can't keep him off of it. He's 1 1/2 now and has absolutely NO problem making it go. He doesn't quite understand how to steer, but we're always with him when he rides so we help -- it's never been a problem. The battery holds up very well and is SUPER easy to charge. The power cord and battery pack all fit in the seat so nothing gets lost and the seat "locks" so little hands can't get it BUT can "unlock" quickly and easy with the twist of the lock button.

My niece will be 1 this weekend and is getting her own for her birthday. She has been riding my nephews for about two months now. They are usually really good at sharing, but this is one toy we needed to have two of. (Yes, I got her this one...bought some "girly" stickers to pretty it up because I didn't want to pay the extra $20+ for the Barbie quad.)

I recommend getting a helmet for wearing...it sets good habits of helmet wearing AND when going uphill or when learning kids balance isn't that great...there is nothing on the toy that will keep them on.

Also, this is definitely for a young child. My 2 year old niece tried it when we first got it and was too big. If your child is older I'd recommend looking into something bigger as you won't get a lot of use out of this one. Also, when it says it goes two miles an hour, it really does go that slow; an older child would probably not enjoy that speed very much.

Be sure to check Walmart...when I was looking for this I ran into Walmart just to check and found it for $58.88...just bought the second one there six months later for the same price.

This was THE BEST first birthday present I've ever bought. Only problem is now I don't know how I'll top it for the 2nd and future birthdays.

I purchased this as a gift for my 1 1/2 year old grandson. He absolutely loves it. He maneuvers it around like a Pro. It is Safe, Durable, Easy to Use, and Perfect for his Age and Size. There is a Problem however, his 2 1/2 year old sister loves it too! Now they are fighting over it, and I have to purchase another one to keep the peace!

We bought the Lil Quad for our second to youngest child who's almost 2. He's kind of short, so I am sure he'll get tons of use out of it. We bought two larger quads for his older brothers and the smaller one for him. He loves going out with the 'big boys'. The button power on the steering wheel works out great for little hands. He hasn't quit got steering down yet, but it won't be long before he figures it out. It was very easy to put together and a snap to charge. Its small enough for him (and our 3 year old) to use in the house. The biggest problem I am having is keeping him from pushing it. For what we paid for it, its a great buy and great introduction to battery ride-ons.

My boys loved these. We bought them for Christmas a few years ago just after turning 1. They rode them in the house for a while then we took them outside in the spring. They don't go very well in the grass but I was ok with that when they were little. They quickly out grew them. I have tall boys with large feet and they couldn't fit on them after reaching 2 1/2. Not even a year of use. Good thing they weren't expensive.

I was supprised that my 13 month old was able to get on and off, can opperate it all by him self. We are having trouble with getting him to steer and watch were he is going instead of where he's been. I think it is just right for the age group. He loves it. It is by far this favorite toy. It can go inside as well as out side and even through the grass.

Hey there!

I love this, I am a single mom and I was looking for a great gift for my baby's first birthday and this was it, he knows how to work the button and he has a blast! It was very affordable and I don't know what else to say except all of his cousins are very jealous they think we paid alot but we don't bother to tell them that it was very affordable. So I give it 5 STARS because Phoenix loves it this is the only toy he runs for at home.
Have a great day and have fun!
Indoor Tanning Lotion

Ive always been use to using really expensive tanning lotions with the assumption that they work faster, apply better and last longer and that was usually the case. Paint It Black goes on very smooth and leaves your skin feeling soft. It smells somewhat like outdoor tanning lotion, kinda tropical, but the smell isnt over bearing. I can tan and go on with my day without smelling like I just left the tanning salon. As for quality, I noticed I was darker after my first tan and by the third tan I was already at my base tan. Overall for the price this product is excellent. I would recommend trying it and if you don't like it well your only out 20 some bucks. Paint it black 50x Indoor Tanning bed lotion

This isn't the most expensive product to buy, but it DOES work. After one use it got me tan in a lower level bed and i kept it for weeks. I haven't found the time to go back to the tanning bed, but now school is out I'm going back this week. Anyway, this product does work. You don't have to buy the $80 tanning lotion.

A friend let me try her "Paint it Black" tanning lotion and I loved it! Now, it's the only tanning lotion I'll buy. It's got a great bronzer in it, has a fantastic scent, and feels very smooth and silky when you put it on. Plus, it's extremely affordable, considering how much the tanning salon would charge for it. Definitely a great buy.

This product didn't work as well as I thought it would. I was hoping to get darker than I did, the bronzers weren't work as well as I thought. However, the seller sent this product really quickly, I was impressed with the shipping time, I would definitely use this buyer again

This may not be as expensive as some of the Designer Skin lotions, but its very moisturizing and seemed to help in the first steps of tanning. I didn't use this very long (just one bottle,) before moving on to Black Storm. After that I started to mix in other lotions because I read that each lotion helps with a different spectrum of light to give you an overall darker tan. All I can really say is that I haven't had a problem with any of the Millenium Tanning line, and I've tried Paint it Black, Black Storm, Black Night, and most recently Solid Black (which is supposed to be a 100x silicone bronzer.) For the price they seem to be great lotions, but it seems to me that if you want to extend or darken your tan, at least for me, I'm going to have to be willing to put out a little more cash. And I don't just mean buying more expensive lotions; I also mean using stronger, and therefore; more expensive beds.'

Interior Design

More often that not decorating books are just eye candy; after read them once you are satisfied but done. This is NOT the case with domino's first book. The domino team has managed to create a book that you will keep reading it again and again. It is simply brilliant!

Even though I have kept every issue of domino and go through them regularly, the book's format allows for a deeper approach to domino's mission. They have really worked hard to make the book into a usable tool. With more than just pretty pictures and stories, this book provides a framework for how to think about putting together a room (and yes their is new content).

I am only disappointed in two ways: 1, I wish the book referenced the issue each in which each room originally appeared and/or provided information about the products in each room. Perhaps there was not enough space, but access to information is one of my favorite parts of domino's monthly. 2, They also overlooked closets as room. And lets face it they have featured some stunning closets over the past few years.

Buy this book, you will NOT regret it!!! Domino: The Book of Decorating: A Room-by-Room Guide to Creating a Home That Makes You Happy

Unlike the previous reviewer, I adore my new Domino book. First of all, the compact size is perfect for throwing in your bag when you decide to hit the shops and boutiques. You can pull it out and it lays flat easily; the sections are divided into easy to read and easy to access room-by-room descriptions that make referencing easy. Each section starts with layout, then design, then accessories and tips and in true Domino fashion, the tone is casual, friendly and accessible. There's nothing snotty or stuck up about Domino, which is one reason I love it. Second, I'm glad they used material from past issues. I certainly don't have the room to save all my magazines! For those unacquainted with the Domino magazine ethos - green, friendly, idiosyncratic and affordable design for all - this is a great intro to the monthly features and to home design itself. I think the thing i love most is the subtitle: "a room by room guide to creating a home that makes you happy" which, in these volatile, dangerous, lean economic and political times, is especially meaningful.

Domino Magazine came on the scene in 2005 just three short years ago. It melded fashion and decor and immediately energized the shelter magazine market, appealing to 20 to 40 year olds, and finding an even wider Baby Boom audience. Its hip and refreshing "how to" attitude to creating your own pretty decor soundly resonated.

Even the professional designers presented had a homey approach using revamped flea market finds, big box store items, and their own personal products.

It provided a "power to the people" approach. Everyone can shop at a flea market, Target, CB2, or eBay, etc. The message is: Everyone has access to a happy looking and pretty home.

Domino The Book Of Decorating is written by the magazine's editors, and it continues the grass roots philosophy of the magazine, using their own homes and thought processes and sources as examples.

The book is written is a fun and breezy manner, and it reminds me of another book: Decorating Is Fun! by Dorothy Draper. This 1939 (!) classic has recently been reissued, and it's enduring advice is timeless and current. I think DTBOD has the same appeal and chance to become a classic of it's time (and possibly a candidate for a nostalgic re-issue 50 years from now).

The book is published without a dust jacket, a compact volume, very beefy and satisfying in the hand. It reminds me of a text book, and indeed it could be considered as such for anyone who loves decor, whether you are the home decorator, layman, or professional.

So do buy this enjoyable book, and get happy being your own decorator!

If you are lucky enough to be able to hire a professional (and please do!), this book will help you understand the nuts and bolts of decorating, and allow you be a proactive participant in this fun and exciting process.

My husband and I were tired of living like grad students, so I bought this book. I never read the magazine and knew NOTHING about decorating. Somehow, after flipping through it a few times, I felt confident to attack the apartment. One month later, we now live like adults, and I love coming home to our organized home with real furniture. I found the book so accessible and sensible in terms of costs (no telling me to drop a couple grand on an armchair or whatever... unless I want to) and effort (no one suggesting I retile my own floor).

I can't speak for people who already know what they're doing in terms of interior design, but for a novice like me, this book has been worth every penny.

If you are a twenty-something, single, career woman in New York City -- or just wish you were -- this will be a valuable decorating book for you. If not, the direction of the book will be less than satisfying. Recommended only for those who are familiar with the magazine and crave more.'

Lens Protector - digital slr, 58mm filter

These filters are good, but not great. I would definitely recommend them, but there are better ones out there. These are cheapest multi coated filters that I have been able to find. I owned some other "tiffen" ones, but they sucked, and were not multi coated.

They did show some glare in the pictures, but it was MINIMAL compared to the non coated ones I previously had. The only other option is to buy 30-40 dollar multi coated filters. Pass on that.

I'm a person that likes to always have the filters on for protection, so I bought 4 for all my lenses.... This was the cheapest way to do it. Zeikos ZE-UV58 58mm Multi-Coated UV Filter

I got this to protect the stock lens of my Canon XS. Took me a couple tries to thread the filter on to the lens. The pictures with the filter on show no visible difference from the ones without.

Pros

- Multi-coated unlike the Tiffen filter

- No scratches

- Auto focus is still fast. I couldn't tell the difference

- cheap

Cons

- Threading could be a little better. Although, it doesn't bother me because I don't plan on removing it from the lens often.

New to digital photography and read that multi-coated filters where the way to go. I purchased two of these for my Canon XSi 18-55mm lens and a 55-250 telephoto lens. It took a gentle hand to ensure it threaded properly, but once on worked fantastic. I would highly recommend this product.

These are well constructed filters, and screw on very nicely (snug and tight). I've had Canon lens filters and the filter lens simply popped out of the frame. However, they are no good when photographing a target and there is a light source head on or slightly off to the side (sun, lamp or chandelier). It produces quite the odd mirrored reflections, stars, flares etc. I bought 4 of these filters for my 4 lenses (all different sizes). In the evening, I simply aimed at the chandelier lights and the results produced a mirrored reflection of the individual chandelier bulbs. I then removed the lens filter and took the same shot, and the shot did not have any odd reflections or stars.

I would suggest removing the lens filter when directly facing the sun or a bright light. I don't bother putting the lens filter on now as I handle my equipment quite carefully. I also have hoods which add some level of protection.

The product name is mislabeled. This is not a multi-coated filter. It may or may not be single coated on both sides. Multi-coated lenses show a faint purple or green reflection. This shows a natural color reflection, indicating uncoated or single coating. Additionally, consider that it is not mentioned on the actual packaging nor printed on the ring that it is multicoated or even single coated.

For the three dollars that I got it for, this would be a 3-4 star rated 58mm uncoated UV filter. It works fine as an uncoated filter, except that the filter threads do not properly fit both the EF-S 18-55mm and the EF-S 55-250mm, whereas the Hoya 58mm UV MC Filter does fit both perfectly. The filter stays on, but it may damage your threads if you tighten it properly.

I would recommend this if you don't care about glare or the thread fitting properly. If you keep it on a lens that you don't use much for protection, it should be fine. If you are sensitive about image and manufacturing quality, buy the Hoya 58mm UV MC Filter or equivalent instead.

Most people use UV filters largely for their protective quality. A filter - especially an inexpensive one like this Zeikos - is easily replaced if soiled or damaged, whereas the front element of a lens is not.

But there is a downside to the use of a UV filter, and this is especially true when it is used on a zoom lens with many elements: That is that any refracted light, whether it be withing or outside of the image frame, will tend to create visual fog, lesson contrast, or in severe circumstances even create a light artifact in the image.

The answer to this is for the filter to have coatings applied that prevent light hitting the surface of the filter from being scattered. In that case the light will pass through without adding or subtracting from the image except in the color range (In this case invisible UV)that the filter is designed to 'filter out.'

"Multi-Coating" - the addition of several chemical layers - when well designed and applied, can be especially effective as each layer of coating can control the scattering of a separate part of the visual spectrum.

Uncoated filters reflect the entire spectrum of light. Single-coated filters typically shows a blue or purplish reflection. True multi-coated filters show different reflection for each color targeted by an applied layer of coating.

The Zeikos-UV filter only shows a slight bluish cast. This suggest a single coating of possibly limited effectiveness.

In other ways, however, the Zeikos filter seems quite adequate. The filter ring is sturdy with a flat non-reflective coating. The glass appears to be of at least decent optical quality with no apparent lack of parallel surfaces.

Thus in my final judgement this filter is a good value but not as good as its "Multi-Coated" in its name would suggest. - Filters - 58mm Filter - Digital Slr - Uv Filter'

Multifunction Printer - multifunction printer, usb to parallel adapter cable

When you buy a new computer you'll have lots of USB ports and nothing else, which makes connecting an existing non-USB printer or scanner pretty difficult. Well, not difficult, all you need to do is connect them with a parallel-to-usb adapter cable. You can get one at Best Buy or Staples for $40-$60, or you can buy this one that does the same thing for about $5. USB to Parallel IEEE 1284 Printer Adapter Cable PC (Connect your old parallel printer to a USB port)

I am so happy to have found this cable set, made my connection to new computer USB a simple task for my old HP4 laser printer with really old style printer connections....I'd hate to part with a great old printer because of a connection problem...SAVED!

I ordered this cable to connect an old HP LaserJet to a Dell Laptop running Vista home. I plugged the cable in, the computer installed the driver in under 30 seconds, and I was able to print immediately. It does exactly what it's supposed to do!

I looked at one of these cables at staples and it was $41 and some change.

You cant beat the price, even with the shipping cost.

My old Hp 722c is up and running again. A few compatibility problems at first, but that was on the windows xp side.

After getting a new laptop that only supported USB, I purchased this parallel/USB printer cable in an attempt to save my Multifunction Laser printer that I paid over $350 for and didn't want to have all that money go down the drain due to new technology. Unfortunately the device never worked; the cable did not come with a driver and my new computer did not recognize it. I was never able use my printer. I ended up having to purchase a new printer that supported USB, luckily it was on sale. This cable isn't worth it. Just let the old equipment go... and upgrade.

The product description lists the length of this cable as 1.7 meters. That is false. Its really 3 feet. 1.7m = 5.5 feet. As it is, this thing is barely long enough to connect my printer and computer with no room to spare. Besides that major oversight, the product worked as advertised. Don't forget to go into your printer settings and change the port to the virtual USB port you get after plugging it in. - Multifunction Printer - Usb To Parallel Adapter Cable - Cable - Usb Adapter'

Usb Extension - usb extension, usb cable

I got this 15 foot USB cable to allow me to position a Netgear WG111 wireless adapter further away from a non-wired computer to improve the signal strength to a router in another part of the house. Combined with Netgear's 6 foot USB cable (supplied with the adapter), the total length is 21 feet. This exceeds the recommended maximum USB cable length, but it works fine for this adapter. For me, it was the least expensive solution for improving wireless connectivity. 15 Foot USB 2.0 Extension Cable

This USB extension cable worked fine for about a week but then started dropping the connection a few times a day. It was being used as an extender for a wireless USB dongle so when the connection dropped so did my internet connection. It became very annoying when streaming video so I stopped using it. Since it was so cheap sending it back and requesting a new one was more hassle than it was worth. I suppose you get what you pay for.

The PS3 seems to have problems with wireless controllers - they freeze up at times. These cables extend the PS3 USB cables to a length where they can be used comfortably, and eliminate those problems completely. While I expect Sony to solve the problems eventually, these make an excellent temporary solution, and will be usable elsewhere later.

I got this extention cable because I am deployed and we have wifi capability. Since my rack is on the bottom, I need some cable that is long enough to connect to the wifi reciever and into my computer. Lenght was not an issue, However functionality of this particular USB is FLAWED that not even my computer was able to recognize it. Assuming that the computer's port has malfunctioned, I connected another USB cable to see if that is the issue. Wrong. This cable is no good. I would not suggest buying it. I took my K bar and ripped it into pieces. One angry Marine.

This cable works fine. I noted that some reviewers have had problems stringing these together. That is probably because the maximum length of a USB link, per the specification, is 5 meters, which is 16 feet 5 inches. So anything longer may not work.

I had a problem, when i played guitar hero the dongle receivers for the guitars didn't work as they should, the signal went on and off every now and then. I have my PS3 very far away from the tv and there are some walls blocking the signal, so the only option left for me was to put the receivers closer to our play area, i saw this cables and I was a little worried about the length, maybe it was too long and the signal wouldn't reach, but the cables worked like a charm.

The dongle receivers are little plastic cases that let you connect the guitar hero drums or guitar wirelessly and these do not have an energy source, and the cable still manages to send and receive the signals.

You won't regret your purchase.

I bought this to use to extend my Xbox Kinect. Don't buy this if your buying it for Kinect, or Playstation Move. It's not powerful enough, and it drops the connection all the time. I also used it for a wired mouse from across the room, just to test it on my projector. It worked fine, but I could see some obvious skips in the mouse every so often, so the connectivity probably isn't the best. For simple USB accessories this would probably be fine, but for anything complex I'd advise against it.

I would not recommend this if you need to charge a Zune or iPod from afar, the power to device seems to go on and off an totally off. Good for connecting to usb devices that have an external power supply. - Usb Extension - Usb Cable Extension - Cables - Usb Cable'

Rechargeable Toothbrush - toothbrush, flexcare plus

The differences between this model and the "older" Flexcare are minimal, that is probably why all they did is add a + to the end of the name. But there are a few differences between the two.

1. Most notably is the "new" look. It has a cleaner appearance with most of the front being a dark chrome look, also instead of the green led's, it has a backlight behind the selected brushing mode.

2. Gone are the 'Go Care' and 'Max Care' and in their place are 'Gum Care' and 'Refresh' mode. They do exactly what the other one did except for one important change on the 'Gum Care' mode which replaced 'Max Care (which is why I picked the new one over the old) '. Instead of having a 3 minute routine with 45 seconds each quad (30 normal + 15 massage) for a total of 3 min; they now have it where it goes 30 seconds each quad with an added 1 minute at the end for 'problem areas' which is broken down into four 15 second intervals.

3. 'Different' color, looks very similar - its 'Soft Sky Blue' instead of 'Medical Blue'. Basically bluer color than the old one which was more of a green color.

4. Supposedly lasts longer - 42 2-minute brushings, vs. 20 2-minute brushings of the old one

5. Case is now hard plastic instead of the soft case that comes with the old model

There is also a few changes in what the battery display shows with its charge but I'm not going to go into it that far with this review. I decided to upgrade from the Sonicare Elite as I was getting tired of seeing the nasty gunk that would grow inside of the handle. It was time to get a new brush head so I decided to go ahead and get a new brush while I was looking around. Overall I think it has been a good decision as this brush shouldn't need the constant cleaning of the old one and I like the new 'Gum Care' routine. So if wanted to know the differences, there you go, you probably now know more than you wanted about a toothbrush. If your like me and wanted to know at least some of this, it should help you decide between the two. Be sure to click yes if this helped you out! Thanks.

This is a GREAT investment in your dental hygiene. I have had this for only a few days and it knocks the pants off of my old Sonicare Elite that I have had for almost 5 years. New Flexcares are the way to go in my opinion. The look and feel of this tooth brush is very high tech and sleek. In comparing the Elite model with the Flexcare plus I have noticed a tremendous amount of improvements. The first is the Procare brush heads that come with this toothbrush. They are slightly more course (which I like) than the original brush heads that I bought for my Elite. They also have a blue strip on them which diminishes in time to signal when you need to replace the brush head. It just feels like my teeth are cleaner than when I used the Elite. Also the 5 modes of cleaning you can choose from compared to only one with my Elite. The quadpacer feature is pretty nice. It is basically a small and short beep every 30 seconds to signal you when you should switch brushing from one quadrant of your teeth to another. And the last thing that leapt out at me was the UV sanitizer built in to the charger. After 5 years with one model, I was growing paranoid about the cleanliness even though you change up brush heads. Some added accessories come in very handy if you travel a lot. A miniature travel case with an extra brush head and a miniature charger come with this purchase. I highly recommend this item to anybody.

Dentist told me few years ago this was the best way to protect your teeth and gums. Didn't get around to buying. Dentist was so right that this is light years ahead of normal tooth brushing for cleaning teeth and keeping gums healthy. Fact that it has a method for completely sterilizing brushes made me take the jump to buy. Insructions easy; the pause system that tells u when u have spent enough time on a section of your teeth makes this so user friendly. Lasts long time between charging--nearly a month. Be prepared for irst time use---it will tickle like crazy. Switch it to "sensitive" for a few brushings and by 2nd brushing I had no tickling sensation. You immediately adjust. Moved from sensitive to normal seeting within a week. If a family---you'll need more than one power wand, since if one of you is traveling, who gets custody of the Sonicare becomes an issue! After I bought this, saw some sets come with multiple wands.

This is my third Sonicare toothbrush. I've owned the Elite and Intelliclean and other brands of sonic toothbrushes and I must say, the Flexcare Plus is the best one yet.

Out of the box, I see that the handle is slimmer than the others, sleeker and much more attractive; and the cleaning modes are displayed on the handle. It's easy to switch modes and there's no need to guess which mode the unit is in.

It is easy to clean. Not all Sonicare brushes are. Some sport messy toothpaste dispensers (Intelliclean) or difficult to reach pit (Elite).

The only problem I encounter is the brush head must fit on the handle in a certain direction -- you have to fit it on a rod, which is flat on one side. The Elite screws on, which is easy for the kids. This one takes a little more precision, which isn't difficult, but maybe not something for younger kids, those with poor eyesight or shaky hands.

***ACCESSORIES***

Oh my. So many accessories.

FOUR COLORED RINGS, to distinguish the toothbrush heads -- choose one for you and one for your spouse.

TWO BRUSH HEADS with sanitary covers.

A NICE, HARD PLASTIC TRAVEL CASE which holds the handle and two brush heads -- the most attractive I've seen with the Sonicare toothbrushes.

TWO CHARGERS: a small travel charger and a full size charger that is attached to a UV sanitizer. My other Sonicare brushes did not come with extra travel chargers.

***CLEANING MODES***

Flexcare has Quadpacer technology, which means it beeps every 30 seconds to remind us to move to another quadrant. That feature may be disabled, but I find it most useful. Intellicare includes Quadpacer technology. I believe some Elite models have Quadpacer, but mine did not.

There are four different cleaning modes included. Intellicare has two modes and Elite has one.

CLEANING mode: 2 minutes of normal cleaning.

GUM CARE mode: 2 minutes of normal cleaning plus 1 additional minute to concentrate on the gums (Quadpacer beeps every 15 seconds for the gum care minute). The gum cleaning is more gentle. This is my preferred mode.

REFRESH mode: 1 minute.

SENSITIVE mode: 2 minutes. More gentle cleaning.

MASSAGE mode: 2 minutes. I can feel larger, slower circular vibrations than in any other mode. Feels like a back massage in the mouth.

***UV SANITIZER***

The UV sanitizer can sanitize two brush heads at the same time. Turn it on and it sanitizes for 10 minutes then automatically turns off. I thought maybe my toothbrush would be all wet inside, but it dries out my toothbrush for me. This the only Sonicare toothbrush I've owned with a UV cleaning feature and I think it's a wonderful addition.

PROS:

+ comes with two brush heads and colored rings

+ nice travel case (best I've seen for Sonicare)

+ comes with small travel charger in addition to standard charger

+ standard charger has a UV sanitizer for two brush heads

+ Quadpacer technology to pace your cleaning

+ four separate modes -- easy to read and set

+ slimmer, sleek handle

CONS:

- doesn't dispense toothpaste (Intelliclean does, but I honestly didn't care for that feature. It's really not a con for me, but perhaps it is for some people.)

- brush head isn't easy for young children or those with disabilities to attach

***SUMMARY***

Sonicare cleans teeth so much better than regular brushing alone. My dentist and my children's dentists always marvel at how clean our teeth are. It's really the toothbrush, because when we don't use Sonicare, the dentists notice. The question is which Sonicare to choose.

For young kids, I'd go with the Elite. It's easier for them to change brush heads, and it's simpler and less expensive. They don't understand the concept of the Quadpacer technology (at least my kids didn't); and rather than using the appropriate mode, they just play with it.

For adults, Flexcare Plus is the way to go. Sleek, easy to clean, a variety of modes, UV sanitizer -- it is my favorite sonic toothbrush of all time. - Sonic Toothbrush - Electric Toothbrush - Toothbrush - Flexcare Plus'

Digital Cable

I got this HDMI cable for under $10 with shipping just to see whether it will work as well as the expensive ones and it was well worth the risk. I tested it with my upconverting LG DVD player on 1080i resolution on my 42" 1080p Westinghouse LCD TV (update 2009: now used for Blu-ray from PS3 to 46" Sony LCD TV) and it works just like any other HDMI cable, including those loud names who charge you ten-fold for "golden plated extra special micro gravity nanotechnology space age wireless high conductivity low noise extra gauge supercalafragilisticexpialidocious" cables with no difference in performance. By buying this cable I avoided the huge "naive citizen tax" included in these products. Considering its price, this is an amazingly good cable. HDMI Cable 2M (6 Feet)

This cable has received a lot of attention on Amazon, so I thought I'd throw in my two cents. I'll write the most simple review I can:

Me buy this cable. Me plug this cable between Sony PS3 and Philips 42" LCD TV. Sony PS3 say "HDMI Detected". TV say picture from source is "HDMI 1080p". Me point to Monster cables and laugh.

I will now go back to banging coconuts together. Thank you.

OK - here's the story. I was going to buy a Toshiba HDTV. I had picked it out already and was ready to purchase it and that was when I found a promotion at a local retailer that if I bought a Toshiba HDTV then I can get $200 off of any of the Toshiba HD DVD players. The HDA2 was normally $399 but was on sale for $299 and with the $200 off I got it for $99!! You can't beat that!

Well, I got that on Tuesday and it was an unexpected purchase. I asked the person at the store how much the HDMI cable would be so that I can hook it up as soon as I get home. He said, it's a Monster Cable and it costs $124.99! Whoa! I went up to the shelf and saw the sticker that said $124.99 on it and on the sticker it said "Financing Available"! What?! I'm not going to pay more for the cable than I did for the DVD player! These guys are crazy!

I told the guy "You are nuts if you think I'm going to pay that amount" and I logged onto Amazon and purchased this HDMI cable I'm doing the review for. I paid, with shipping, less than $9 for it. I was a little worried about it though - I'm sure that there must be a difference between the $124.99 cable and the $9 cable. So, I took the test. I went and purchased the $124.99 cable (mostly because I was too anxious to try out the new HD DVD player and couldn't wait for it to arrive). I plugged it in and of course the HD DVD I played looked absolutely amazing! The very next day I got the $9 cable (pretty fast shipping by these guys by the way) and I hooked it up. I was worried what I would find but when I started watching the same HD DVD that I watched the night before on the $124.99 cable I could notice NO DIFFERNCE WHATSOEVER between the two cables' results. So I returned the $124.99 cable.

You will not be sorry if you purchase this cable over the other ones in the major retailers. Don't let them tell you "it's a better quality cable" or anything like that. This cable is built very well - you can just tell when you hold it in your hand that it was made well. You don't get the fancy plastic packaging that you have to tear into with a knife and cut your fingers on though (oh what a bummer!). Get this cable. It's great!

The only thing you will want to research is that I have seen in some literature that there are two different kinds of cables. I think there is a special one for 1080p DVD players (dont' quote me on this). So do your research before purchasing just to make sure that this is the correct "type". As far as build quality - picture quality, for use with an upconverting DVD player as well as the Toshiba HDA2 HD DVD player, it's an absolute steal.

HDMI is a digital signal. That means it's all or nothing--not like analog where you may have degradation due to signal loss, crosstalk, radio frequency interference, etc. As long as you have a decent HDMI cable to transmit the digital bitstream from point A to point B, you're set. I just purchased the new Sony Bravia S-series 32 inch LCD TV. To go with it, I trashed my old Apex with the missing remote and got a deal on a Sony DVP-NS70H upconverting DVD player that can synthesize "extra" lines of resolution. The player can send 720p or 1080i signal to the TV. (Current DVDs are 480p; that standard will change eventually with Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.) I knew that the upconversion feature only works through a digital connection, so I'd need to get an HDMI cable. Started checking prices and, no surprise, they were all over the place. Some were in the $100 range. Despite mild skepticism, I decided to try the cheapest one. This little beauty arrived in 3 days in a plain brown wrapper and a clear plastic bag. The cable is surprisingly robust, with nice build quality, supple insulation, and good connectors. I started to feel vindicated. So I plugged it in, put Harry Potter in the DVD player and WOW!! The DVD player and TV did their magic. Spellbindingly great picture and sound. I haven't tried a component analog connection--those cables are REALLY expensive and quality matters more there--so I can't compare component versus HDMI. Bottom line: this is an unbeatable price performer for around $10 incuding shipping. And no, this is not an April Fools joke.'

Floating Strap - waterproof camera

Purchased for use with my new Fujipix 12MP Water Camera - no problem keeping it where I could see it in the water. Camera is submerged but float is large enough and bright enough to spot. I think it is much more attractive than those big multi creased floats. Also has a quick clip so you can easily remove the float when not on the water. Chums Waterproof Camera Float

Bought this for a cruise to use with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2, which Amazon tells me weighs 5.9 oz. It was easy to connect (and disconnect with a quick release), floated to the top of the water quickly, held up well and was easy to see from a ways away. It is much better looking than some of the life vest looking ones on Amazon. Great product that did exactly what it was supposed to.

I saw this item on Amazon, And decided to give it a try based on , some of the other reviews. Well it arrived today, Its bright yellow, Which is excellent in the blue Sea, And looks great paired with my Canon D10, Well I tried it out attached to my Canon, in a sink full of water, And I"m very glad to say, That it kept my D10 floating...........it does its job well, its very well made and nice and soft to the touch, And very comfortable on your wrist, I"m looking forward to taking it on my next cruise vacation to the Caribbean............I highly reccomend it.........

Personally... I don't feel as if any of the foam lanyards are fashionable, or cool. BUT, this one is as close as you will get. And, as an added bonus, it works. I put mine on an Olympus Stylus Tough, and it floats it perfectly. That's what it was designed to do, and it does it.

This has a simple snap so the thick part / float can easily be removed but it won't come off by itself. Bright, comfortable etc.

This isn't enough to float the camera but it will make it easy to find if you drop your camera in the water.

I wouldn't consider bothering with a camera case as this float is way too big to fit in a case.

This is a simple product that works. The yellow color is visible in the water. Without the strap, the camera sinks to the bottom, with the strap, the camera stays close to the top. I was worried the weight of the camera would be too much for the strap, but the strap stays 1/2 above the water. There's a quick twist release that allows you to remove the yellow handle when you are not using it in the water. I have both the camera strap that came with the camera and this one together. The yellow strap fits comfortably around my wrist. I guess the only enhancement to this strap would be an adjustable collar that would allow the user to tighten or loosen the wrist strap depending on the size of their wrist.

I have had some sort of waterproof camera for 5 years now, and have only been using the provided straps that have come with the cameras. While they are very good for keeping the camera strapped to you, they provide no protection if you happen drop the camera while passing it off to someone or you end up getting the strap and camera caught in your gear while putting on a lifejacket, etc.

With this chums float, you can take a few pictures then just let the camera go in the water while you are messing with your gear, and it will still be around when you are finished and ready to go again.

It is nice that they have a quick disconnect, but I am not fully convinced that the chums strap's connection is strong enough to withstand a lot of pressure, so I have been doubling up and using the tougher strap that came with my camera as well.

Another useful thing I have found with this strap is that you can tuck your camera between it and your arm if you are needing to use your arms a lot (this came in handy while climbing up waterfalls in the Dominican Republic). That way it is softly cushioned up against your body and out of the way of smacking rocks like it would be if it were just dangling from your wrist.

The Chums waterproof camera float works great for a GoPro HD. It was a little larger than expected but the size works out great to slip over your wrist in or out of the water. Several times I found myself stuffing the camera inside my pocket to swim "camera free" and not having to fiddle with velcro or clips is a big plus. It was easy to swim with the wrist strap on and camera in hand down to 20' or so and the float easily brought the GoPro back to the surface when "freed". Also it was a bonus always being able to find the camera with the bright yellow strap attached. Whether stuffed in a pocket or free floating it is quick to locate. - Waterproof Camera'
