Great Speakers - great speakers
Nice sound for its size & and it is a very attractive fixture (built-in 40-watt candelabra-base bulb <not included>).
With controls on bottom and mounting bracket on back, this works best when mounted on a wall light electrical box (preferably a metal one). With hardware and great instructions provided, I was able to permanently mount it where there was a wall light fixture on my back porch. It took less than an hour.
Inside the house, my music source is the commercial-free Sirius channels on the TV. Audiovox Acoustic Research AW850 Mission Style Wireless Speaker and Light (Bronze)
Very nice looking and sturdy fixture. Easy install into existing J-box, good instructions, everything included. Sound is fine for what it is. Wireless connection is very good even with tons of other wireless things in operation in the house.
Two Negatives: the rubber seal on the bottom that protects the controls is not very snug. It won't last long at all. Takes Type B light bulbs, 40W max. Pretty useless for a light, but ok for just ambiance.
i purchased this for a convenient way to have sound on my deck, without drilling holes through my walls and running speaker wire through my house.... that being said, when the speaker worked, it worked well. Getting the unit to acknowledge that it was a speaker, however, is a greater challenge. Rarely would the little blue light illuminate, indicating it was ready to receive a signal, and more rarely would it actually connect and produce sounds.
I have yet to determine how the unit decides to connect to the antenna and function as intended... in addition, the limitation on the lightbulb makes it doubly ineffective as a light source, so it doesn't live up to both its claims. I would therefore recommend any shopper move on to the next item in the hope that a truly wireless outdoor speaker exists.
I was a bit concerned after reading these reviews, but I took a chance and bought it. It installed very easily, just as easy as installing a light fixture. Once installed, I just plugged in my Ipod to the Transmitter and plugged the transmitter into the wall outlet, and that was it. I had no hiss, no dropped sound, or other issues. The sound quality is very good. And the ability to change the volume on both the speaker and on the Ipod (or other audio device), makes it convenient to change volume from the source too. The only minor complaint would be that the controls are located on the bottom of the speaker where you have to bend down to see them.
A lot of speakers designed for outdoor use, well, look like speakers. They're rectangular, rigid and too box-like. If you're like me, then you don't want to clutter your beautiful backyard with ugly wires and more importantly an ugly sound system. That's why I love the AW850 outdoor speaker. This speaker set-up is very elegant and stylish and fits in with most any decor. The speaker itself is small enough to be light-wight and portable, but big enough to produce enough sound. The construction of the speaker is beautiful, as the speaker casing is all metal, making it look very classy and well-built. I love that fact that you can hang it up or have it set somewhere. As far as the sound quality goes, it has a very good sound for a less-expensive speaker system, and the quality is quite clear and crisp. Of course it's not the same as Bose, or another more expensive system, but the sound is still very good. This speaker (I only have one set on the "mono" setting) gets plenty loud even with other background noise. The wireless range is excellent reaching about 125 ft. at my house, even through walls and other obstacles.
Now as far as the durability in bad weather goes, this speaker does work perfectly fine in light rain and other poor conditions, just don't leave it outside in poor weather overnight or for extended periods. It's not completely weather resistant but still holds up well. Other notable aspects of this system include the fact that you can hook up another one of these speakers to have a left and right speaker system for fuller, louder sound. I just have one and it works perfectly for me and I have a decent sized 1.5 acre yard. Some people have reported slight sound quality issues with certain audio sources like iPods, but I have hooked this speaker up to virtually every audio source available and have had great sound every time.
All in all this is an excellent outdoor speaker and a great value. I highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a high quality, stylish outdoor audio solution. This a great product and would certainly consider buying a second speaker to add on the one I have. Excellent job Acoustic Research.
I bought this as a gift recently and intended to allow the gift recipient to play music outside on their porch from the stereo or iPod inside the house. I have an Acoustic Research wireless speaker that I personally use that I bought in 2006, and it has worked great for me for years, allowing wireless transmission through multiple walls, while being 30+ feet away from the transmitter. This device, however, was not at all what I had hoped for. Here are the major drawbacks:
1) HORRIBLE WIRELESS SIGNAL: There was literally 2 feet and only a glass door between the transmitter and the speaker, and the audio was still cutting in and out every 5-10 seconds. The only fix for this was to place the wireless transmitter outside with the speaker, and only about 5-10 feet away from the speaker.
2) NO PORTABILITY: I thought this device was like the wireless speaker I bought in 2006, allowing for both battery powered operation as well as plugging into a wall outlet via an AC Adapter. This is absolutely not the case. This device MUST be mounted as a light fixture through in-house wiring in order for it to work. We had no choice but to take one of the outside light fixtures off and replace it with this in order to get it to work. If you're looking for portability, this is the furthest thing from it!
Acoustic Research used to be a company that was respectable, provided great products, and was worth the premium that we paid for it. This is definitely not the case. Acoustic Research, you have lost a dedicated customer with this device. To anyone reading this, please don't make the same mistake I did. Buy another brand's wireless speaker product.
On a positive note, Amazon was great a fulfilling the order, and extremely timely with shipping. I will never buy Acoustic Research again, but I will use Amazon again. - Great Speakers'

Asian Skin Masks
i love gathering ingredients from my kitchen and slathering them on my face, mainly because i'm too poor to go to a real spa. these are perfect for that purpose. they're basically compressed paper masks that must be soaked in order to regain their original shape. i soaked mine in watermelon juice the other day and just placed it over my face. other than the occasional dripping, it was great!
some people might think that 5 bucks for 12 pieces of paper is a rip off, but it's honestly an awesome deal (this is coming from someone who only shops sale items). there aren't any similar products out in the market for such a good price. go ahead and try it!
oh, and did i mention it's really entertaining watching the masks unfold when in contact with water? 12 PCS Beauty Skin Care Compressed DIY Facial Paper Masks'

packing tape - packing tape
I bought this tape mostly for packaging small item's I sell online - mostly dvds - and it's a great value for such applications. This tape isn't designed for sealing up heavy boxes of electronics, glassware, etc; even lightweight, non-fragile items like clothes, if packed tightly in a huge moving box would be better sealed with a stronger tape, which usually comes in shorter rolls, since the tape is so much thicker. If that's what you need tape for, buying the very cheapest, longest length tape you can find, probably isn't the best idea.
Even double or triple taping a heavy box isn't going to be as safe as using a stronger tape that's either thicker or reinforced with fiberglass or material strands. It's about using the right tool for the job and this tool was made especially for small, lightweight packaging. I've used it for larger, medium weight boxes too - like shipping a dvd player or some item under 20 lbs - without reservations as to how well it would hold up, but I wouldn't even consider it for sealing a big box full of dishes during a move, or shipping a 50 pound surround sound receiver that cost 1k or more to replace.
Like I said, this tape is ideal for my primary application, which is shipping dvds, whether in a cardboard box or bubble mailer. In fact, I trust the tape more than I do the self-sealing sticky strips on most bubble mailers or priority mail flat-rate boxes. This tape is actually better than the last pack of similarly priced Scotch brand tape I bought; at least the adhesive is stronger, though it's about just as flimsy, which is fine if you have the proper dispencer, but can be wasteful, not to mention aggravating, if just using your hands and a pair of scissors. While expectedly flimsy considering it's thinness, it's not as fragile as some generic, non-name brands I've tried in the past. This is USPS approved packaging tape.
While this tape isn't marketed as being crystal clear, it's transparent enough to cover shipping labels without obscuring the shipping details (address, postal barcode, etc); at only one or two layers thick, the tape still looks almost perfectly clear and also appears clearer than the Scotch brand I bought last time. LePage's USPS All Purpose Packaging Tape, 2 inches x 110 yards , 6 Pack (82302)
I own a business and have been packing boxes for over 12 years, This stuff is crap, You cannot even get it off the roll without it splitting all apart. Worthless in my opinion no matter how inexpensive it might seem.
Have purchased these before but find that the quality has fallen. If you aren't careful, when you peel the tape, it will split down the center and you've wasted tape - ugh! Overall, though, once you've gotten it peeled, it holds great.
I bought this tape for a cross-country move. It is not terribly sticky, and so thin that I have had to use 2-3 times as much as I would have with good-quality tape. The extra time and layers mean that this tape is no bargain at all. Being so thin, it also tends top fold sideways on itself. Cannot recommend it!
I bought this for shipping small to medium boxes and it did not disappoint. Shipping tape keeps going up in cost and when I saw this tape as a lightening offer, I thought I'd try it. I was a little worried when I read someone mentioned an odor with this product because I am very sensitive to odors. At first I noticed nothing, but after a while I did notice it has a smell, but it was very slight. The tape itself was easy to work with and never got stuck to itself. I would order this again.
This product is exactly as described. It is definitely low to medium grade quality, but it is listed as that so there were no surprises. The packing tape does what it's supposed to do. I have no complaints. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a reliable, cost-effective packing tape for everyday use. A+++
This tape was a good deal for me because you get alotta taper and i use alot, its pretty thin but it does say light duty and for what i use it to ship it works fine ,for taping lables on shipping poly bags it will last me awhile. However the only this i dont like about the tape is... I got it thinking i would go find any dispenser to fit a 2" tape roll and in the long run save money instead of getting less rolls with a holder..this tape say its 2" tape but if y zoom in which i didnt its 1.89" so when i was looking for a tape roll it wasnt easyer to find!, i did find one that came with tape but its a crappy dispender, but i think a 2" dispender may work but i didnt try one..Far as tape goes you kinda do need a good dispenser it tends to be hard to lift up off roll once let go without taring it usually,it is light weight ,a dispenser to hold it in place or if you just folded it over would save you tape and time ive wasted alot because it splits - Packing Tape'

Sensitive Skin - face wipes, disability
We love the Basis Cleansing Cloths because they are individually wrapped which keeps each cloth moist. Also, the cloths are very gentle and non drying to the skin. They are great for travel as you don't have to take the whole box with you, only what you need for that trip. We have been using these cloths for over 10 years now. Basis So Refreshing Facial Cleansing Cloths, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 4)
I have used Basis face cleanser for over 25 years. I was delighted to find the face cloths! They are excellent for travel and for a quick freshen up. They work well for my 3 year old grandson's sensitive skin and he can use them himself. They do not leave my face dry, but clean feeling. I highly recommend!
Love these! I opened up the boxes and stuffed a few of each into Christmas stockings for my female family members. I kept one box for myself. Great for purse, traveling, glove compartment. Soft, refreshing, non-irritating, will take off make-up easily, and does not leave your skin dry or sticky. A quick and easy way to clean your face quickly and give yourself a pick-me-up. A little pricey, but well worth it - a good value. Everyone I gave them to really liked them. I intend to buy more!
This product surprised me - I'd seen 'alcohol-free' mentioned with such products before, only to find that something within the product *still* resulted in dryness, etc. - but that's NOT the case with this product - this product is fantastic. Not only does this product do everything one would expect it to do, but it does so without irritating the skin in any way (& the skin on my face is *very*, *very* sensitive), & without leaving any kind of smell behind (this truly is a unisex product - it doesn't smell feminine or masculine - it's just *clean* & *refreshing*).Importantly, it cleans well, & the cloth is moist enough that it does not dry out quickly, & allows one to truly clean the entire face without the cloth 'running out', & without the cloth ripping or falling apart (the way some products do). Also, & impressively, use on one side of the cloth doesn't result in stuff simply being absorbed all the way through - which allows me to use quadrants on one side of the cloth, & then I fold it, & use the remaining (& unused) sides to gently clean the skin over & below my (closed) eyes (something the chemicals in many cloths would render problematic), & then my neck.Additionally, & what ultimately makes this product stand out so far above & beyond its peers, is the fact that in addition to all of what I've mentioned, it does all of this without making the skin feel dry or tight (something many of its peers utterly fail to accomplish) - I still marvel at this, after cleaning my face with these. And it seems as though peers of this product at times attempt to moisten in a way that ends up clogging pores or otherwise leaving the skin feeling a bit odd (& in my case, nearly all would typically still leave the skin dry & tight, & the moistening component would be something which both clogged my pores & triggered a breakout) - but not this product... this product just plain gets it ALL right. No clogged pores, no irritated skin, no dryness, no smelly anything - just clean, moist, refreshed skin.I love this product. It's WONDERFUL.And given the all-encompassing does-it-right nature of this product, it truly does allow for multi-faceted use, & even for folks who have very sensitive skin (this is the ONLY cleansing cloth that has ever 'worked' with my face [it works great for neck, etc., of course, but my facial skin is waaaay sensitive]).A use that triggered my testing this product at all (especially after seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews) was for a loved one to use after returning home from surgery, given that they would not be able to stand up much for a few weeks after said surgery, & thus washing their face was going to be an issue. This product ended up allowing her to clean her face conveniently & effectively, & to feel refreshed afterwards - the psychological boost that this product indirectly allowed was something the manufacturers might never have had in mind, but it really made a difference, & without it, she would have felt a difficult-to-describe stress that was outright avoided, thanks to the quality of this product. The effectiveness of this product allows me to conveniently clean my face during overnight stays when visiting family - there are times when washing my face in the standard way is something I'd like to avoid if possible, due solely to its effect on my hair (rinsing, specifically - it's inevitable that the aspects of hair closest to the face end up getting wet, etc. [& usually not neatly so]). If we need to go somewhere very early in the morning (& there are over a dozen people spending the night, & nowhere near enough time for everyone to have major access to showers, etc.), or if I'd like to accompany someone for a brief early morning errand, etc., utilizing these cleasing cloths (at night before sleeping, & then in the morning, to feel refreshed) allows me to have clean skin & not have my hair look ridiculous during the relevant outing (I know that sounds laughable, but it's true! :)Lastly, it's great to have this product as an option for taking along for ANY time during which access to or use of a sink might be an issue (e.g. spending the night in a hospital waiting room, or in the hospital room of a loved one, or at a friend-of-a-friend's home, or while on an extended road trip, or after a long flight, etc.).A GREAT product that leaves one feeling clean & refreshed, works with sensitive skin, doesn't leave the skin feeling dry, doesn't leave behind a scent, utilizes a cloth that does not dry out or fall apart while using it, & is definitely a product to keep in mind for anyone for whom temporary or permanent disability or temporary resource access interferes with standard &/or convenient use of soap & water -- & is something which our family learned is terrific for use with a post-surgery patient at home while their mobility was limited.VERY highly recommended. - Face Wipes - Disabled - Disability - Cloths'

Great For Wedding
If you're getting married, or know someone who is, this book is a lot of fun to read and give! It's filled with lots of great facts like what Elvis sang to Priscilla on their wedding day, and why Napoleon and Josephine shared their wedding night with her nasty pug dog. Wedding Days is set up chronologically, with a story for every day of the year, so you can find out who else was married on "your" day. Last spring, I had to make a speech at a wedding and Wedding Days gave me wonderful material - my friends got married on April 18 - the same day as Princess Grace and Prince Rainier! Her father did something really outrageous during the ceremony - you'll have to read the book to find out what... By the way, Elvis & Priscilla were married on May 1 (1967); Napoleon & Josephine were married on March 9 (1796.) Wedding Days: When and How Great Marriages Began
I loved reading these fascinating stories. I learned so much about famous couples in love and how they met. This book certainly makes a great gift! I keep it on my coffee table and friends love looking through it.
Reading this book is like eating peanuts - once you start, it's hard to stop! It's filled with lots of romantic, funny and sometimes so touching stories about famous couples and their marriages. I like the way Gordon set up the book - it's organized like a calendar, with a story for every day of the year. The words are printed in deep purple ink - very pretty! I'm giving this book to my aunt and uncle for their 25th anniversary, and I'll write something special on their wedding day page. They love the Beatles, and will love to learn that they were married on the same day as John Lennon & Yoko Ono.'

Diawa Reel - diawa reel, okuma
This reel is unbelievably low-priced. It lays the line well and the retrieve is silky smooth. However, I recently bought two reels and both have weak bail springs. Sometimes the bail will not fully close when the reel is cranked moderately after a cast. Previously I had a Sweepfire-B 3500 (damaged in an accident) that did not have this problem. Daiwa Front Drag Spinning Reel, Sweepfire-B 1000 Front Drag
At first I thought it would have been to heavy for my son's 6ft rod but it is perfect. It is well balanced on the rod. Hoping weekend we can go and do some fishing. Arrived before time even with the free shipping and low price. Its great for my 10 yr old. - Diawa Reel - Okuma'

Staples
I have never been a DeWalt fan in the past but this stapler has made me start looking at them as a tool source again. It is very light and easy to manuever around a project. Easy to load. Easy to adjust depth. Tool free jam clearing although they are rare. This stapler has made several jobs so much easier and a pleasure to do again. Comes with both a bump trigger and a sequencial trigger so it can be set up how ever you want it. I like the bump. But changing over is easy to do. For the cost this DeWalt has exceded everything I expected. Very good buy. Please note I do woodworking as a hobby. I am not a contractor or someone who uses this 24 x 7. Just different projects as my wife comes up with them... But everytime I reach for it I know it will do the job. I can count on it. To me that means a lot. DEWALT D51430 1-Inch to 2-Inch 16-Gauge 7/16-Inch Medium Crown Stapler
This stapler is just what I need for all of my 16ga.stapler jobs. The depth adjustment and the trigger mode are both easy to change. It is lighter than most 16ga. staplers making it less tiring to operate for a full day.
I'm real happy with this stapler, it's been a great value and a real money maker at the jobsite. I think I picked it up for $110 bucks.
I run a 150PSI air compressor, and generally frame with 100lbs in the line. Turn your line pressure up to 110-120 when you're shooting 2" staples and it'll drive them with no trouble. Drives everything else just fine at 100PSI. The housing is durable and the unjamming mechanism is flawless, though it's only jammed twice in the last 3 houses we framed.
Owned it for a week, used it for building a shed (mainly for stapling plywood floors and walls). Kept up to production needs and worked like a charm.
Didn't come with a bottom air attachment coupler. Fortunately I had extra, but thought that was weird.
All in all, me likey!!
I recently purchased this staple gun for installing cedar shingles on my garage. It has performed flawlessly, I've shot around 7500 staples with no jams. The depth adjustment is very easy to use and the setting works with varying air pressure. Very good for what I needed it for. I also used Fastener USA for Stainless steel staples, very good service.
I have both 18ga brad nailer and this 16ga stapler. They all have same problem. The safety nose piece gets stuck and not releasing on it's own. You have to pull the trigger to release. By doing so, you lose momentum on your speedy process. They say you can shoot this thing 3 shots per second. I don't think I can do it that fast. Frustration goes all the way. Dewalt makes good cordless nailers, but not pneumatic nailers. If you are a pro, use Hitachi.
I had to return product because I purchased it for Father's day and it turned out to be the wrong one my husband wanted. Anyway, they did charge me a restocking fee which was frustrating cause I literally didn't even open the box or anything. It was returned to them within 1 week of purchase too...trying to make money I guess. Had to put a star because they need it but the product was never used so I don't know how the it worked.
My old stapler broke after many years of faithful service so I needed a replacement. I looked at many different brands and decided on this one. Received it in short order and had pre-purchased 2" and 11/2 inch staples. I loaded it with the 2" staples first and shot some test drives only to think that it was not driving staples. There was very little recoil, very little noise, and it just appeared to not be loading the staples however, the more I shot the shorter the supply of staples was getting and in fact the gun was performing flawlessly. I have now shot about two thousand staples and it hasn't misfired once. Great deal.'

Postpartum Support - binder, girdle
I bought this when my much-more-expensive waist cincher proved too big after my third pregnancy. I couldn't find one in a smaller size, and wasn't inclined to spend another $50 or so, anyway. So I thought this was worth a try.
PROS:
-it can go very small. The whole thing is basically one big piece of (3-paneled) elastic, with a strip of "sticky" hook-and-loop closure at one end. So you can fasten that end anywhere on the entire rest of the binder, effectively making it VERY small (at the expense of having a long "tail" underneath. I'm normally an 8-10 and right now there is only about 5 or 6 inches of tail, which is very managable--the binder would fit much smaller women than me. I'll never get too skinny for this binder.
-it's more bendy than a lot of cinchers; it doesn't have any boning to poke into you. It's comfortable enough to sleep in.
-you can make it exactly as tight as you want it. Because you can attach it wherever you want, you can adjust it the way you see fit.
-I'm not sure what it's made out of, but it breathes very well and is quite comfortable.
CONS:
-it's VERY hard to fasten tightly. I imagine a second person could help with this, but I'd like to be able to tug it a couple of inches tighter than I'm strong enough to do.
-it's not nearly as supportive as a waist cincher from the lingerie section (or presumably one of those more expensive postpartum girdles)--it's not going to make you fix your posture, for instance, and it doesn't do as much to prevent my back from getting sore.
-it definitely bunches up / flips over / creates rolls. It's JUST elastic, no boning or other support, so there's nothing to enable it to create a smoothing effect. For me, this is fine, but I definitely wouldn't want to wear it to look slimmer in a form-fitting dress.
-9" may be a little short. I'm 5'7" and this would work better for me if it was about two inches taller. But it's adequate.
-the fastening strip massively picks the rest of the elastic, which makes it instantly and irreversibly look tacky. Not that you're going to go out in public with it showing, anyway, but still.
So. Does it do the job of compression postpartum? Yes. And it does it very cheaply. I'd buy it again. If money were no object, I do think a firmer support that's easier to fasten more tightly (hook-and-eyes, for instance) has an edge, but this works well enough at a much more sensible price.
I'd point new mommies in the direction of this product. 9" Three Panel-Elastic Abdominal Binder & Waist Trimmer Small
Personally, it didn't work for me. I purchased this product at about 10weeks postpartum. I feel the reason why i didn't see any difference in my abdominal was because my uterus/stomach had shrunk to what it evetually would. I decided to buy the binder because i was returning to work and was conscious of my "4 months pregnant" looking belly. Maybe if i purchased it earlier it would have made a difference. I used it occassionally for about 2 weeks but never out of the house. I felt like wearing it emphasised the my stomach rather than hiding it. I don't regret buying it though and plan to use it again. Hopefully it works for you!
I got this item for my wife after our son was born. She started using it a few weeks after he was born and she said the compression felt good and it helped make her tummy look flatter. For the money it was definitely a good buy.
When I first received this product, I thought it would wear out quickly since it's elastic. I've had it for about a month now and so far the elastic is holding up, but where the velcro attaches is very fuzzy and I don't know how much longer it will hold up. Otherwise, this has been great support when I'm out doing a lot of walking... no lower back pain. However it is not made to wear during a meal.
this product comes with a very limited return policy. i'm not thrilled about this item which explains why i dont care to use it. the velcro makes it hard to remove and adjust. you can notice you are wearing this under your clothes. the material attracts lint and and hard to remove.
I love this product!! It is very easy to take on and off. You can easily wear it under your clothes and no one will know that you have it on. Everything that it says it does it does. Excellent product, I highly recommend it to everyone.
I haven't used this yet but was looking for a good alternative to the expensive postpartum wraps like the belly bandit. I was so happy to see "postpartum" right on the front packaging as one of the uses right when I opened it! I figure for the price I cant go wrong!! I will update this review next month after baby! 42 Inch - 47 inch, plasma
I've had this TV for more than a week and spent some time playing with it and have watched different TV shows, several movies, both 2D and 3D. I think I now have a pretty good idea about how this TV performs.
First of all, let me start with a brief summary of pros and cons:
**Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Pretty good looking
- 3D
- Many advanced controls for tweaking picture quality, ISF calibration ready, as LG put it. This is a huge plus for an entry level TV
- Excellent picture quality and color accuracy, especially after being properly calibrated
- Low power consumption for a plasma TV, has built-in smart power-saving feature. After being calibrated, it's less than 100 watts in 2D mode which is very low for a plasma TV and within the territory of LCD TVs.
**Cons:
- Only 720p. This actually doesn't bother me because I hardly notice any difference in picture quality compared to my 1080p TV unless I get very close, something like 2-3 feet or so.
- A small annoying issue I found when I tried to calibrate the TV. No big deal but still annoying. I will explain later.
- Looks like a mirror. This is actually a problem for all plasma TVs, the technology itself. If your room is not dark enough, or the TV is facing a window, the reflection can be pretty bad. High end plasma TVs have some sort of filter or something like that to reduce reflection but they cost a lot more. If your room is pretty bright, get ready to buy a dark curtain.
Now let me go into some more details of my calibration process and how this TV performs.
In fact, the TV has very good color and gray scale accuracy in "Cinema" picture mode. I used my colorimeter, downloaded a free copy of ColorHCFR calibration software and AVS HD 709 calibration pattern disc to test the colors and gray scales. I found Cinema mode has good gamma, color temperature, and luminance accuracy. It's not perfect, but it's not too far off. The contrast should be a little higher but for an out-of-the-box mode, it's very good. If anyone doesn't bother with calibration, just switch it to Cinema mode and increase the contrast a little bit, and it's good to go.
For those who are interested in more advanced calibration, the TV does come with 2 advanced picture modes called "expert 1" and "expert 2" with small "ISF" logos. These two modes have all you need for advanced calibration, either by an ISF-certified professional or do it yourself (Although I dig into these "expert" modes, I'm not an "expert", not even close BTW). Go deep into one of these two "expert" modes, you can adjust individual RGB channels (both Contrast and Brightness), turn on color filters for adjusting color saturation and hue. The TV even has 20-point gray scale curve controls. Although this can be hard to use, it allows much more accurate gray scale adjustment. You also find primary and secondary color controls for CMS (Color Management System), which are rarely found in entry level or even mid-range TVs.
I spent a few hours playing with these advanced controls and the results were amazing. The luminance, gamma, color temperature curves were all very close to the targets with very low deltaE values. Of course they are not as low as what I can get with my graphic monitor, but those numbers and graphs are excellent for a TV. After calibration, the colors look natural and smooth, the skin tones look great. 3D movies look great as well. I did notice some crosstalk/ghosting in some dark scenes but it looks like this problem depends on the content as well. I saw very little ghosting when watching Tangled 3D, almost no problem with the Ultimate Wave: Tahiti 3D and a little more in Shrek 1 and 2 3D.
However, this was also where I found an annoying issue as I previously mentioned. The picture modes seem to work independently in different viewing modes like TV and Blu-ray. I have a blu-ray player connected to one of the HDMI ports. All my calibration was done in this viewing mode with the use of my blu-ray player. After everything was set and I achieved my desired results, There's no way to apply the calibrated parameters to all inputs. I calibrated the "expert 1" profile (in blu-ray viewing mode) and "expert 1" in TV mode doesn't have the same parameters, it actually doesn't change at all. I had to manually copy the numbers to my notes and transfer them one by one. I found this very annoying even though it's not a big deal and I could get around it. But it's very strange.
Another issue I found pretty odd is the "expert" picture profiles are disabled in 3D view mode. So all your calibrated results have no meaning if you're watching 3D movies. I understand that all energy saving features are disabled in 3D mode but the calibrated profiles are gone too? Very odd indeed. Fortunately, the "Cinema" picture profile still works and as I said, it does a good job.
This TV doesn't have any internet streaming service but who really needs it because if you buy a 3D TV, it's almost certain that you have or will have a 3D Blu-ray player and all 3D Blu-ray players have internet streaming capability. Why we need to pay more for a similar feature in a TV as well?
In summary, Although this TV is certainly NOT among the best out there, not even close; It is an excellent TV, especially for the money. Having a lot of advanced picture controls is a huge plus. Excellent picture quality for the money. Despite some annoying but minor issues I found, I still give this TV 5 stars for its quality and value. LG 42PW350 42-Inch 720p Active 3D Plasma HDTV
This TV is amazing, I highly recommend it. Great quality construction/design, great quality sound, great quality picture. What more can you ask for? Thanks LG!
UPDATE:
Haha So, the above post was when I originally bought my TV (2 months ago). Well, I have had it hung on a wall since purchased and everything has been awesome. Well, today after having the TV on for about an hour it made a loud "POP" noise and shut off. It won't turn back on. Boooo LG. It's 2 months old and died. I keep a very clean living space so I know dust is not the issue, I keep the temperature around 74-76 degrees. So, I can only sum it up to faulty hardware? Maybe this particular TV is the only one with this issue, I don't know. But, "Life's Good"? Now, "Looked Good".
Amazon will not refund the purchase amount because I am outside the 30 day return window.
Thanks again LG!! :) - Plasma - 47 Inch'

Straight Finish Nailer
This is my first experience with a nail gun and never again will I hand nail trim if I can help it. This product operates as claimed, easy to set up, takes any kind of 1 to 2 1/2 inch nails. Easy to adjust the nail depth by adjusting the pressure on the air tank, or manually on the gun itself. Freeman PFN64 16 Gauge 2-1/2-Inch Straight Finish Nailer
I have had this item for 2 weeks now. Using it to install some 1" oak trim. I had been using a Bostitch 18 gauge brad nailer previously and they just would not always penetrate and if I had to pull one out they always broke off. This gun puts the nails in all the way. I have not had a single misfire yet. Very happy with this purchase. It would have been nice if it came with a case but that is a minor complaint.
I was very happy with this nailer. Being the first nail gun that I was going to use I called the company for advice and they were very helpful. Did my project and it was all they said it would be. I would certainly buy another one of their products.
I'm pretty particular about buying tools and usually opt for high-end models. But when I need a tool for occasional use, I'm willing to lower my standards. I priced 16 gauge finish nailers at the big box stores and couldn't justify paying $200 - $300 for a pro model. Took a chance on this model and I'm thrilled.
Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Loaded a couple nail strips, hooked it up to my compressor and dialed in an air pressure (using the recommendations from the instructions) that gave me good depth results. A few minutes later, all of new trim pieces were securely nailed into place. The trim didn't move and I was able to keep excellent alignment even on my outside corner joints.
One of my best tooling purchases in recent memory. Based on the fit and finish, I expect to get my money's worth and then some.'

Bluetooth Stereo - a2dp, bluetooth
I bought two of these adapters. I recived them within a week and one worked as it should and the other did not. The return process is a bit of a hassle and I haven't yet recieved the replacement (however, it's only been a few days). The one that works operates well and has good range in open space. A major problem for me is that the battery seems to only last about 1.5 hours before the sound begins to drop out occaisionally. Overall the quality is mediocre and performance is reasonable for the price. I would probably advise a friend to spend a little more and try a different adapter.
Update the one that I could get to work has quit after 2 weeks. The one that did not work originally was sent back 2 weeks ago with no response from the manufacturer. Junk and Junk. Don't buy this get something else. 3.5mm Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Audio Dongle Adapter for CD/DVD Players MP3 MP4 PC PDAs iPod PSP any 3.5mm Jack Device
I bought this because I was looking for a 3.5mm bluetooth adapter that could be charged with a micro-usb cable (which are ubiquitous). However, it's very light and cheap, and after 1 use stopped working. I threw it in the trash.
Don't buy this!!! This was cheap and small, just what I was looking for. When I got it I was impressed at how small it was. The owners manual was full of typing mistakes, not a good sign. After I charged it up, I could not get it to work. The only light that worked was the charging light. Worthless. And now what, spend more money to ship it back for another one that does not work. Don't waste your money. Read reviews, like I should have in this case, and stay away from junk like this.
I complained and received a replacement Dongle without any questions, but had to ship the original back. Unfortunately the replacement unit had the same exact problem as the original - No Battery Life! last month I ordered a replacement battery from an eBay dealer changed them out (requires soldering) and it now works as advertised. Too bad this sort of repair is beyond the ability of the common buyer - The Dongle is the problem..! the headphones that accompany this item are fine but the dongle lasts only about 30 to 45 minutes which points the finger of blame squarely at the battery. They both charged fine and worked fine right from the get go - for one use! on the second charge cycle the Dongle lasted about 30 - 45 minutes and charges to that limit even now, which is no where the stated useful life cycle of to to four hours. The headset on the other hand, will sit on the night table next to the bed and still be blinking five hours later waiting for a connection, but the Dongle goes dead in a half hour. Can be restarted but dies again in 1 to 2 minutes. Don't buy it or the headphones since they won't work with anything else.
I bought this thing on august 15, 2009 I loved it. today November 13 it will not charge I used it about a half dozen times in the last three months. maybe I think it should last longer than 3 months I just get the charging light and that is all I should have listened to the reviews. :(
Light weight, easy to pair, inexpensive. Universal use with the 3.5mm/ mini-stereo jack.
Does exactly what you want from it. Once paired you can simply plug it into a new audio source without having to pair again.
A bit disappointed in the battery life. Around 4hrs.
While it charges from a mini-USB cable it will not function while charging. So you cannot use it for extended times due to battery life limits. It does come with a AC wall plug that provides a USB port.
This device runs out of battery power after about 35-40 minutes of use. Try the BlueBridge bluetooth transmitter for over 3 hours of use between charges. Other than it's relatively short battery life, it worked very well.
I use my 3.5mm wireless bluetooth to work with my Wireless headphones while I do my workout on the Elliptical. The dongle works great as long as you stay within 20ft range. Which is fine since the Elliptical faces the TV. It is not really convenient for walking since it hangs off my Zune but all in all I am glad I bought it.
When I read the reviews I thought "I take really good care of my stuff so this won't break on me." I was very wrong. I wish I could say it fell or got destroyed in some way but it flat stopped working within one day of getting it. Bottom line is it seems more people walk away unhappy than satisfied so I would go with a more reliable option if possible. - Audio Jack Bluetooth Adapter - Bluetooth - A2dp - Bluetooth Adapter'
