Wireless Mice - wireless, recommended

Wow! I had a 3 year old Microsoft mouse that worked great, but the USB transceiver was a real pain mainly because

of the length of the thing. I broke one of my USB ports when I accidentally banged into the thing one day and on

a laptop one can ill afford to lose a USB connector right?

Anyway, the transceiver on this unit is tiny, it only sticks out maybe a 1/4 of an inch so there's no probability

of you damaging your machine by accident. And, it is extremely responsive, even more than the older design. The

drivers loaded automatically in Windows 7 and I'm back in bidness. Both left and right buttons work as they should,

and the scroll is perfect. Battery life is extended too with an On/Off switch. Works on any surface, the laptop frame,

the couch, your jeans! The transceiver does snap into the body of the mouse for travel, and the only minor complaint

I have is that the mouse doesn't turn itself off when the transceiver is nested.

This purchase BTW was a necessity because of the crappy touch-pad on my new Asus K52jr-4, which was so erratic as to

make the laptop virtually unusable. I see a lot of complaints on the web about this, but anyway I highly recommend

this mouse, especially at the price which is about 1/2 of an equivalent Logitech device. One word of advice, if you

fail to turn off this mouse when not in use it tends to go through batteries like Vegas hookers through a Shriners

Convention..... always always flip the switch Off when your machine is idle. And it pays to use a Lithium battery (1)

for extended life. Microsoft deserves a slap for claiming "up to 8 month" battery life in the product info above.

Update 6/02/2011: This mouse still works perfectly and is just as responsive as it was on Day 1. It doesn't "squeak",

the mouse clicks are barely audible, but you may find that the rubber casing begins to peel away from the plastic body

over time, this is easily remedied with a drop or two of Superglue. This doesn't affect comfort or performance of the

mouse. Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 - Sea Blue

This mouse replaced a retractable corded USB "travel" mouse. It was small and basic and worked quite well for years but finally died. I wanted a small cordless mouse to replace it so I surfed Amazon and found this one. The Logitech's were nice but I like that the USB receiver dongle is small. Most others are as big as a flash drive increasing the chances of it getting broken off.

So far it does seem to work well on a variety of surfaces. It works on my laptop table of course but I've also used it on the fabric chair arm and it worked just fine.

Two other nice features are the off switch and the dongle fits in the bottom of the mouse. All in one package for ease in travel. The mouse is also just the right size, not too big or small and reasonably comfortable. After a month or so I'm quite happy with it.

This is the only Microsoft mouse with BlueTrack and a click motion wheel. The mouse is very responsive and has a good feel. Battery life should be good as well.

I had stopped purchasing Microsoft mice because all the new mice had smooth scrolling wheels. The wheel design is a weakness on Microsoft mice. Logitech has a much better wheel design both smooth and click motion. The click wheel is a little stiff on this mouse. If it loosens up after some use, this will be the best value small form factor wireless mouse available.

My boyfriend has the model before this, "Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000", and since I constantly used his, we decided that I should go ahead and get a wireless mouse myself. I searched for hours for a mouse that would meet my needs; something small, not too pricey, and would work on many different surfaces. I initially was going to purchase the same mouse as his, but I also wanted to see what else was out there. My first choice was the "Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000" in their Dragon Fruit color.. mainly because the mouse matched my laptop (appearance is always a first reaction of mine), was inexpensive, and had gotten good reviews! But.. I kept searching. After hours of looking at many different mice and reading many different reviews, I found the Mobile Mouse 3500. It had no reviews, so I was VERY skeptical about purchasing it. It caught my eye because it matched my Dell Insprion perfectly color wise, was small, and it was also the newer version of my boyfriend's mouse that I enjoyed so much. Microsoft's new "BlueTrack" technology was also very appealing to me, so being an electronics junkie, I had to try it out! The price exceeded my price range by a little, but this mouse ideally had everything I wanted in a mouse. I searched around to see if I could find a better deal, but since this is a mouse that was newly released, Amazon had the lowest price.

I finally ordered the mouse, and received it 2 days later (thanks Amazon!). The mouse fits snuggly in my hands (I have small hands), and has a nice rubber grip on each side. I was SHOCKED to see how small the nano receiver was. I knew it was going to be small, but this is TINY. About a 1/3 the size of Microsoft's other receivers. I actually love this, but it may be difficult for people with larger hands. There is a button that stores the receiver on the bottom of the mouse, and with just a push, it will push the receiver out for you, then when you have to store it, just push it back in. Like I said previously, this is great, but may be difficult for people with larger hands. The bottom also has an on and off button which I find very convenient. Unlike my boyfriend's mouse, I can leave my receiver in my laptop, and then just click off/on the mouse when it's not in use. With his mouse, you have to take out the receiver and store it back under the mouse for it to turn off.

Overall I am very happy with the mouse. The BlueTrack definitely works great. The mouse runs smooth, and the receiver doesn't overheat, even after hours of use! I have Windows 7 and had to download their software on their website to program the middle button, but it was quick and easy.

Pros:

Small

1 AA Battery

Smooth

Easy to setup

On/Off Button

Works on a lot of different surfaces

Cons:

Doesn't have a back button like the older model (3000) - ok with me though

Receiver might be hard for people with larger hands (boyfriend finds it easy though) - Wireless - Recommended - Microsoft Wireless Mouse - Microsoft'

Outdoor Furniture - fire pit, outdoor fireplace

Nice quality, assembled quickly and looks great on our deck. Was missing the screw to attach the knob to the cover, which required a trip to Home Depot - but other than that, we're completely satisfied. As an fyi, Kroger stores [Fry's, Ralph's, Smith's] stock firelogs specifically for firepits - making it even easier to use this product. Strathwood St. Thomas Cast-Aluminum Fire Pit with Table

My husband and I were initially so excited to find this product. It seemed like exactly what we'd been searching for, and most of the reviews were fantastic! When it was delivered, we began assembling it, only to find that some of the aluminum pieces were warped, and the main, central piece of the table was welded into a crooked oval instead of a circle. Amazon Returns was extremely easy to deal with and they handled our exchange promptly. They arranged for the defective table to be picked up at the same time that a replacement was delivered. We were disappointed that we couldn't start using the table right away, but we were hopeful that the replacement would work out. Unfortunately, the replacement table was even worse than the first! Every aluminum piece was bent or crooked, and even the cast iron top had several flaws. If this table was half the price, we may have been okay with the shoddy workmanship, but for over $300, we expected a good, quality product. I'm not sure if other customers were less picky about the workmanship, or if we were just amazingly unlucky. Amazon will not send a third replacement product, so now it's back to the drawing board to find something comparable. To make matters worse, a week after calling Amazon, the HUGE box is still in our living room waiting to be picked up--FAIL.

Let me start by saying a HUGE "Thank you!!!" to Strathwood for offering these amazingly affordable and stunning patio pieces. I have been looking for a chat set that was both good looking and affordable for over one year now. I can happily report, this is it!!!!

After reading the reviews here and loving the style (and price!), my husband and I decided to purchase this fire pit table with four motion club chairs from the same collection. Our order arrived in two days (WOW!) and in perfect condition. It took me about 10 minutes to put together the fire pit table and took my hubby about 20 minutes to remove the wrapping from the four chairs. We were amazed at how gorgeous this set was - it truly looks extremely high end and expensive. I agree with another reviewer that you would never know this set was aluminum (unless you picked it up). The chairs are extremely comfortable and the cushions are really nice. The cream color of the cushions go with any decor. I added some colorful pillows (from Target) and viola! We've created a resort lounging area in our own home for so much less than anyone would ever guess.

Truly, I have seen every chat set out there and this is hands down the best looking, best quality set for the money.

Iam very pleased with this collection! It looks so classy on my 7x26 deck. If your looking for a unique look this is it. The packaging took the most time to remove, assembly was quick, just put the legs on. My son helped and it was a snap.

It comes with levelers on the bottom of the legs. Now I can use the matchbooks to light the fire instead of leveling the furniture legs. Also comes with touch up paint.

Purchased two of the motion chairs to go around the firepit/table and I had reservations at first upon receiving them. I wanted more of the beautiful scroll work on the back to show.

(they come fully assembled, that was why I bought them)

After setting everything up and sitting in the chairs, they are sooooo, comfortable.

The cushions are light off white biege, high quality, but a bit bland. However, you can do add any color of throw pillow you like so thats a plus. Had a few stains already and Simple green removed the spot easily. Consider covering them in weather.

Would buy all of this collection if my deck was bigger.

High quality and lighter weight.

We purchased this product (along with 4 of the "motion" chairs) and it arrived last week. I was nervous about buying something like this online without seeing it in person, but so far I have been very happy with the product. It looks great and is exactly what we needed for half the price of similar products in local stores. The cushions on the chairs are a bit bland, but that doesn't bother me too much. I figure we will need to replace them eventually. I purchased some larger throw pillows so that the chairs will be more comfortable for shorter people like myself. The firepit looks great and can be easily used for cocktails or a casual dinner. As long as this product is durable (time will tell), I will be very pleased with this purchase.

Reading everyone's reviews helped in making the decision to purchase this table. Table was very easy to put together. All screws, washers and allen wrench were provided. I put the table together myself and only needed my husband to help me flip the table over after installing the legs. Took less than 20 minutes to install. Table is beautiful. Delivery company called to give me a time frame when they were going to deliver. It was raining that day and they went ahead and brought the box into the backyard and placed under our patio which was greatly appreciated. We haven't used the fire pit yet but can't wait til this weekend to try it out. Very pleased with the quality and the styling of the table. Very sturdy. Can't wait to order more of the other pieces to the set.

8/25/10 update:

Had to add a side note about this table. I purchased the Weber 7436 BBQ Grate with the hinge opening and it fits perfectly over the copper bowl. Not only do we use the table as a fire pit but we BBQ Hot Dogs, etc. now. I also purchased a round pizza stone to place over the grate to make pizza. Haven't tried it yet but are looking forward to trying to make pizzas as well. We LOVE this table. Our friends that have come over have really enjoyed this table. We've used it in so many ways. We just hang out around it and ENJOY! - Outdoor Furniture - Patio Furniture - Outdoor Fireplace - Fire Pit'

Garmin Ac Charger - wall, charger

If you expecting to get a charger for Garmin GPS unit, forget it. You just got ripped. DO not buy this Chinese crap from anyone who claims that it can charge GPS unit. It will not. All you will get is crappie charger for cell phones an MP3 player with mini USB port. (Look at picture). I have a Garmin 255 and left it to charge overnight. After running a check up test on this unit battery charge was on a same level. (Just press and hold battery indicator on right corner for a few second and unit will run a check up test). Do not waist your money as I did. I wish someone will warn me here about this. We as a consumers need more protection against this kind of crappy products with false claims, which internet is full all over and sadly now here in Amazon as well. Home, Wall, Travel Charger AC Adapter for Garmin

I ordered this plug for my Garmin GPS unit and it doesn't work. My unit keeps cycling through questions about turning off. The unit constantly beeps and doesn't charge. I contacted the seller initially via email and they responded back with questions that I answered. I tried the unit again with the same result. I tried contacting the seller once again asking how we were going to rectify the problem and I have not gotten a response. In addition, it took 2 weeks before I got the product, and there was no invoice and no direct contact info. Beware!!!

This product was damaged upon receipt, it doesn't work (I found out just yesterday when attempting to charge my GPS before using) and if I didn't misplace the receipt I would sent it back and not purchase from this store again. Thumbs down!!!!

This product was a disappointment as it did not function as its title implied. When plugged in (to AC power and attached to my Garmin), the GPS turned on but did not recognize it as a power source for charging. The Garmin automatically powered down within about 15 seconds reverting to battery power.

Returning the product was not practical nor worth the expense involved - I simply chalked this one up to experience - and of course with no intention to use this manufacturer again.

Robert

This lightweight switching power supply / charger works perfectly with older and newer Nuvis. It lets you use the device while it is charging with no waiting. Very narrow, so the 110v side fits on crowded outlets. Very good unit, especially for the price. - Charger - Adapter - Garmin - Wall'

Yoga Mat Soap - hot yoga, yoga mats

I use the mat wash after every yoga session. It cleans my yoga mats very well; better than soap and water and it leaves my mat sticky for the next yoga session. It's also good after hot yoga sessions. I also enjoy the clean, herbal scent and that it's more natural than soap. Gaiam Yoga Mat Wash

Being a huge clean-freak, I found it necessary to have something to sanitize my yoga mat after sweaty sessions. Unfortunately, however, after using this product, my mat was VERY slippery, even after rinsing it with water numerous times. I do agree with previous reviews and think the cleaner smells nice, and did seem to do a good job cleaning the mat, but it is not worth the feeling that I am going to face-plant and break my nose when I start to slip during a downward dog.

This Mat Wash smells good and works. I still have great grip on my Pilates mat (if not better). The smell is a slightly earthy smell that is light and fragrant. Easy cleaning instructions included. It would be nice if they made a larger model, because this stuff works well. - Yoga Accessories - Hot Yoga - Yoga - Yoga Mats'

Science Fiction Films - action movies, science fiction

I'm not going to tell you what this movie is about.

Why, you ask?

Any info will ruin the experience.

And what an experience it was.

Here's what I liked.

Brilliant storytelling.

Incredible acting from everyone.

Direction, pacing, score were all top notch.

Anything I didn't like?

No.

This film does what so few films do, it will make you think.

It touches on so MANY different themes.

Right.

Wrong.

Good.

Evil.

Moral.

Ethical.

This life.

The next.

And pretty much everything in between.

Brilliant.

In an age of movies filled with senseless violence, unnecessary nudity and swearing that would make a truck driver blush, it's refreshing to see a movie that simply does what films should do....tells a story.

A grand story that I give my highest recommendation. Source Code

Acting - awesome

Plot - awesome

Directing -awesome

Effects- awesome

If you still enjoy being treated as an intelligent human being without compromising creativity, action, supsense, drama, sensuality, fun and believability in a movie - then this one is for you. Awesome movie.

SOURCE CODE has an element that is lacking in too many of the Hollywood CGI sci-fi experimental movies that are so very cloned these day - humanity. Much of the credit for this quality comes from the intelligent and imaginative writing of Ben Ripley and the tight direction by Duncan Jones, but the main reason this film works so well is the presence of charismatic and fine acting by Jake Gyllenhaal.

The story borders on the obtuse: a device has been invented by Dr. Rutledge (Jeffrey Wright) that can maintain a person in a state of recall much the way a light bulb has a glow after it has been extinguished. Rutledge has placed helicopter pilot Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal), who is missing in action in Afghanistan, in a capsule that is capable, under the direction of military officer Goodwin (Vera Farmiga), of projecting Stevens onto a train entering Chicago that has been planted with a bomb in order to discover the perpetrator who is apparently planning another bomb that will decimate the city of Chicago. It is a back and forth series of 8 minute exercises, each time Stevens relives the moments before a bomb detonation and gradually learns the the device and its owner. On board the train he meets Christina (Michelle Monaghan) who 'sees' Stevens as her boyfriend Sean and during these repeat flashbacks Stevens and Christina form a bond that makes Stevens re-think his 'purpose' in this military gimmicky.

*In the hands of the wrong people this little venture would seem trite and silly, but with this crew of creators it becomes a puzzle that touches on tension, fear, humor, and warmth. That is what a superb cast can do with any material, but with this particular strange tale it works perfectly. Grady Harp, July 11

I had been waiting for Source Code to come out since I saw the first trailer. Captain Colter Stevens is a helicopter pilot forced to relive the life of one Sean Fentress in order to catch a bomber. The premise is pure genius and the repeating of the same scene is kept fresh by the characters and the small changes that occur. Jake Gyllenhaal is a perfect fit for the main character. He is great at confused and wonderful as sympathetic. Michelle Monaghan is great playing off his character and Vera Farmiga is just terrific as she has to display multiple emotions with just her face. Jeffrey Wright's character is the only one not fully fleshed out but the movie doesn't really focus on him. Yes the ending might upset some people but it opens up a slew of questions (I've read so much stuff that people have written afterward) which is the hallmark of a good movie. Everyone should see this, especially fans of Fringe and the Matrix. I disagree with those who say it's like Groundhog day; it isn't.

"Source Code" is director Duncan Jones' second feature film, after the existential science fiction drama "Moon" (2009) took viewers back to the thoughtful sci-fi of the 1970s. Elements of that style are in evidence in the unretouched look of "Source Code", which, in spite of its contemporary setting, shares some of the same themes. Capt. Colter Stephens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up on a Chicago-bound commuter train not knowing where he is or how he got there. The last thing he remembers was being a helicopter pilot with the 17th Airborne in Afghanistan. Now he sits opposite a woman named Christina (Michelle Monaghan), who calls him Sean and seems friendly. Colter's reflection in the mirror is unfamiliar to him, and, before he can figure it out, the train explodes in a fiery ball.

Now Colter is strapped into a capsule as a woman speaks to him through a monitor screen about an operation called Beleaguered Castle. She tries to help him regain cogent thought processes. Her name is Capt. Goodwin (Vera Farmiga), and she explains that the train he was just on exploded this morning, killing those aboard. Colter's mission is to go back and find the bomber, so a second terrorist attack can be prevented. He has 8 minutes. He's not traveling back in time, but into the residual memories of a man who was killed on the train. And so Colter goes back to the train, Christina, the explosion, the capsule, Capt. Goodwin. Again and again, as he hunts for the bomber, an understanding of himself, and of the implications of the technology that enables him.

It reminded me of "Moon" in its identity crisis and artificial reality, constructed for the benefit, or imprisonment, of the protagonist. This has a slicker, action-movie tone, though, rather than the contemplative pace of 1970s sci-fi. There is romance, action, and existentialism. And "Source Code", the mind-bending fusion of quantum mechanics and neurobiology that sends Colter into a dead man's memories, is billed as "a powerful weapon in the War on Terror." I felt the ending was a bit of a cop-out, and I'm not sure that it makes sense. But Colter's existential adventure does make sense, and there is enough action to keep the audience engaged even though, like our protagonist, we keep ending up back on the same train. Duncan Jones is now two-for-two and a promising talent.

The DVD (Summit Entertainment 2011): There are 2 featurettes, an optional Trivia Track that you can run during the film, and an audio commentary. "Cast and Crew Insights" (35 min) interviews cast and director about themes, characters, and each other, in 11 parts. Some nice comments, but it is repetitive and too long. "Focal Points" (7 min) presents the technical ideas used in the film in 5 parts: memory recall, military virtual reality simulations, quantum physics, many worlds theory, and brain computer interface. The audio commentary is by director Duncan Jones, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, and writer Ben Ripley. They compare the film to earlier drafts, discuss technical details and directorial decisions, filming, and Gyllenhaal shares his experiences. Subtitles are available for the film in English SDH and Spanish. Dubbing available in Spanish. - Michelle Monaghan - Action Movies - Science Fiction - Vera Farmiga'

Large Book Holder - large book holder, book holder

I have degenerative disc disease in my cervical spine and I can hold my head in only one direction for longer than 5 minutes--straight ahead. I am a student and have a lot of reading to do. This bookstand has saved me a lot of pain and discomfort, allowing me to maintain good posture while I study. I highly recommend this product to anyone with neck pain. Jasmine Book Stand (Bookstand / Bookstands / Holder / Cookbook / Music)

I needed a book stand that could handle large heavy books for research I was doing. I ordered this stand and have been very pleased. It easily holds books that are much larger than its size and is very sturdy. I liked using it so much at home that I bought a second one for my office.

This book stand is so amazing! As a graduate student, it has made all the difference in the world with my reading and research. It makes it much easier to take notes; it can accommodate quite thick books; it is very sturdy; and, it is a great size. My reading and note taking are happening with greater ease and speed. This is a wonderful product!

The product works flawlessly, as users have overwhelmingly indicated. However, the price point seems inconsistent with the quality of the materials. The stand is comprised of two wooden boards. The back board (on which the spine rests) is a mere quarter inch thick, perhaps less. The adjustable stand is made of plastic. The only metal parts are the screws that hold the stand together and hinges that allow the stand to fold up.

Five stars for functionality, but an unreasonable price turns what would be a great deal into a questionable buy. I am a law student and don't have the money to justify spending so much on something that isn't built to last, and a drop on the floor could easily be the end of this bookstand.

So one of the first things that caught me by surprise was how fast the shipping was. Maybe I got lucky or something, but a couple of hours after I ordered this item it was shipped and two days later it was at my house.

I can't believe I didn't think of using something like this earlier. Although this stand can hold just about any book, it is particularly useful with large textbooks as it not only allows you to read them much more comfortably, but allows you to take notes with much more ease as well. I wish I had thought of buying one of these earlier.

As far as portability goes... it's portable, but it's not. It's portable for me because I can just stick it in my backpack and study with it at the library, but it's kind of big, so I can only really do that if my backpack isn't filled with a lot of books already. I'm a fairly healthy student in college though (no spinal problems or anything), so the portability issue wasn't really a problem for me. If you plan on using it at home or carry around some sort of backpack you should be fine.

I am a law school student and this stand is a life saver. You get into terrible postures when reading for a long time and this really helps. Also taking notes onto a laptop is so much easier with this book stand. I use large books all over 1000 pages and a lot of reference books and this stand handles them beautifully. I have actually purchased two stands from this company. The other one i just got so i cannnot review it yet, but this one is great.

I am able to highlight or write in the book with ease because this stand is so sturdy. I would not recommend for the casual reader as it is bulky and best accommodates larger books. but that having been said i am very happy with this purchase.

I'm back in school after a number of years and needed to maximize my study efficiency and determined that a bookstand would be just the thing. I couldn't find anything locally except a flimsy plastic stand that started breaking the first week. This thing looks great, works great, and is lighter than I expected. It's also wider than my old stand and holds the overly large textbooks effortlessly. It also has page holders that I do not intend to use, but they flip out of the way and I'm not forced to use them if I don't want to. I love this thing!

I wish I had purchased this years ago! I am a graduate student and I needed something that would help ease my neck strain from so much reading. This stand does a great job of keeping the book in an easy to read position and the way it holds the books open is perfect. I wish it could go even more upright, but it's still a great stand and is adjustable. I highly recommend this for reading or keeping a book handy for reference.

I have gone through a lot of book stands. I was using them since the late 90's when Amazon weren't selling them yet. My very first was the Fellowes plastic book stand. It was designed to be portable which was available from Office Depot. Fellowes was flimsy and could not take heavy books but it was good at being portable. I searched the internet and bought the Atlas heavy duty book stand. This one was a pure desktop book stand, it can be disassembled and taken with you. Atlas book stand was not wide enough. When I place a heavy paperback manual such as the Gliem and Becker CPA books, the outer pages would sag. I placed a wide cardboard at the back of the book to support it. The lip of the Atlas book holder was very deep compared to the Jasmine book stand.

Then Amazon started selling book stands and I found the present book stand. The misgivings I have with this product is that the lip is not deep enough to hold the thickest of books. The back is wide enough to accommodate wide books. There is also the matter of balance. The design is such that the book hangs on the book holder for support. It has not affected me much but if the calibration is not exact, the book would be out of balance. The theme I found with the design of book stands is that it be portable. Jasmine book stand is designed to be portable but it is no very so. Jasmine is a desktop book stand. The nearest competitor to this product is the INP-103 Book Stand (Bookstand / Bookstands / Holder / Cookbook / Music). It is similar but has different clips to hold pages, I don't have experience with the competitor but the clips seems to be better in holding pages since it is out of the way of text. I already have a book stand and I am content to use this one but the INP-103 Book Stand could be better for your needs.

For portability I would go with the Fellowes Booklift Copyholder,Platinum (21100) book stand. It is not wide enough to hold the outer pages but if you have a hardback, the hardback will support the outer pages plus its cheap. But I will find alternatives. - Large Book Holder - Bookstand - Book Holder - Study Aid'

Feloowes

I purchased this for our office 5 months ago. We have at least 8 different people using it and all have been pleased with the ease of use. We've experienced no problems - binding 5 to 6 proposals (25 to 100 pages) weekly. Learning curve was nil. I think it's the only thing the entire office has been happy with! Fellowes Quasar 500 Comb Binding Machine (52168)

Just be careful that the guide for A4 paper vs letter-sized paper is set right so that the holes will be centered on the document.

It's larger than I'd envisioned... still deciding where to locate it permanently in the office. The paper fits vertically (width-wise) in the puncher on top, as shown, then the comb-spreader is used with the paper horizontally (width-wise), with the edges barely overlapping the front. There's a little more of the machine in the back, too.

Bought this for use at my company and it works great! We used to outsource small run publications for pricing, inventory, etc but with this we are able to do it all in house and save us a lot of $$$. Would be great for school projects also!!'

Swiss Army - casual watch, swiss army

The Victorinox Swiss Army Officer's 1884 (model #24727) is actually a replacement for an earlier version (model #24227). The earlier version is no longer made. The new model is better in many ways. First, while the look is strikingly similar to the previous version, this model is slightly larger and quite a bit heavier. If you don't like a heavy watch - you might want to look elsewhere. The overall appearance has been improved by the use of raised metal numerals, and a larger, stronger crown. The crown movement feels very precise and smooth. This watch includes a Swiss quartz movement, date display, sapphire crystal, 100 meter water-resist, and my edition is keeping good time (to about 1 second gain in 3 days.) Overall, this watch just exudes quality and precision. And while this is not a super-expensive watch (nor super-cheap) - it has an understated beauty about it that says "Please wear me!" Highly recommended. Victorinox Swiss Army Men's Officer's 1884 Watch #24727

This watch exceeded my expectations. The size is perfect... not hugely over-sized like some, but big enough to

look impressive. The weight is perfect also... feels substantial without being too heavy. Love the gold numbers

as well, which add to the look of quality. Chose the two-tone because my wedding ring is gold, but wanted to

incorporate the updated modern look of silver. Very pleased with every aspect of this watch.

The picture does not show the beauty of this watch, the finish is excellent and it is very elegant and always calls for the attention of everybody's eyes. There is nothing to complaint in this watch, it is simply a beauty.

This watch has been the best one of the 3 swiss watches i own. Bought one when i was in Europe in 04(Swiss military), This watch(06) and a Swatch back in Europe in 08. Out of the 3 this is the best. The crystal being sapphire makes it highly scratch resistant. It has been caught up at work while stocking shelves at my local grocery store. The pins never broke like my SM did. Great plus there. Overall quality is fantastic. the metal is showing wear but that is from daily wearing and it expected.Um what else. The price has gone up about $50 since i bought this back in 06. Don't let that scare you from buying this. You'll be happy that you did because this is a fantastic watch for anyone who wants to one up others in the watch category. Now buy your self one and enjoy the fell of this on your wrist. Also it would make a great gift for someone who is into watches. - Swiss Army - Casual Watch'

Voice To Text - headphones, voice to text

The headset is very light and comfortable, it might seem fragible but it is made of pretty good material. It will not apply pressure to your ears, and the earbuds are very comfortable, as well as having a slight 30º degree rotation (on its axis).

As far as sound quality goes, it is above average compared to other cheap headsets out there (~20$US seems to be the above average price). The speakers sound pretty decent, as long as you use them for voice. The high notes are pretty notable (accentuated a little bit too much), the midrange is ok, and the bass surprisingly manages to perform very well for the price. It is there and it serves the purpose of voice chat.

As far as the mic goes, it is not a professional mic (those are $30-$200), but it manages to perform well.

The microphone is very omnidirectional, so keep in mind for example I have a somewhat loud computer fan half a meter away from the mic, and you will hear it in the background.

As far as voice range goes, it manages to capture low notes pretty decently, again I have to restate, for the price, it is what you get. If you are not doing a radio show or a podcast, then this is great for voice chatting, gaming, voice recognition, etc.

A good tip would be to adjust the mic to be above the mouth by a few degrees and also turn its inner face way from you. Doing so allows for a better sampling of your voice as the recording will not be crippled by constant air noises from your breathing.

On the technical side, you might want to note that the microphone also has an outer side, so not only it captures your voice, but the ambient noise. The cord is pretty long, just enough to be comfortable, but not long enough for you to roam freely (I have it plugged in the front of my computer).

Final note: Good headset for the price, good for people on a budget.

Recommendation: If you want better quality, pay more, but if you just want to voice chat on Skype, this is great and cheap. Always test audio products before you buy them. Koss CS100 Speech Recognition Computer Headset

I do a lot of on-line gaming (Aces High with built in voice, WWII Online with Teamspeak, Battlefield 1942 with Teamspeak). These headphones are perfect for what I want. They are not the most-comfortable headphones in the world, but they are adequate, and the price is very cheap ($15 or so). More importantly, the dynamic range on the sound is great so that I can localize sound sources in the game (good for locating where a shot came from). Even the low-end rumble is good (so that explosions and tanks sounds good, for example). The microphone on this headset is outstanding. My voice quality on these games is better than what the majority of players achieve. People who use crappy mics sound crappy in the game (static or distortion) -- my voice quality is very clear. I have recommended these headphones for everyone I know who does on-line gaming.

Its perfect for in-game chat or when using teamspeak (or other IP-talk applications). Sound is Koss style (excellent), but not as good as Koss Porta Pro of course. The Mic is perfect. The fixed part of the arm rotates down to the mouth, the rest of the mic-arm is flexible and can be easily adjusted to any wish. Clear and good microphone. The cord is long compared to other headsets (more than 3 meters / 10 feet)

I found the fit and weight to be just fine, but the most important thing with a Speech Recognition Headset is the clarity of the Microphone, and I have found the microphone on these headphones to work better than any of the other Voice Rec Headphones I have owned.

I use them for dictating into Dragon Naturally Speaking, and they work great for the most part (as anyone who's used this program knows, you have to be patient and continually "train" the program). My only complaint (and it's probably not really a fault of the headset) is that if someone pops their head into the office and says "Hi!", or if the phone rings, the headset picks up this extraneous noise and the dictation recognition is affected. Maybe I should just close the door... Bottom line--I would definitely buy them again.

The fit, feel, and sound are great but the performance with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 was horrendous. The headset is now sitting in a drawer, perhaps someday to be used for Skype or some other VoIP service.

This is such a fantastic headset! It sounds great! and its comfortable and perfect for gaming. I especially love the adjustable Mic. I recenly accidentally broke my old one of this same type. (dropped heavy boxes on it*crunch*) Ilove this headset so much that I bought another exactly like it. It's cheap enough that it's no big deal. I recommend to all my gaming pals that they get this as well. several have :)

Item was suggested with Dragon Naturally Speaking software. Software already came with headset, so was not needed. Item is very reasonably priced, comfortable to wear and works well. Very easy to use. - Microphone - Dragon Naturally Speaking - Headphones - Voice To Text'

Drop Dead Delicious

Wow! What a fabulous first book for this very talented author!! I am so impressed that someone new can leap off the block with a first book and show this much talent! Gemma Halliday has a wonderful future ahead of her. This book is as well written..actually, better written than many experienced authors today. It is a very fun read, great comedy, a totally fresh and energetic character to follow through the dialogue, and so very likable. The who-dun-it was indeed a mystery until the end..so not who I expected!! I can't wait until the next one is out...I am soooo ready to read more by this inspired new author:) Spying in High Heels

Twenty-nine-year-old Maddie Springer has always lived her life based on three very important facts: Fashion. Fashion. And more fashion. Sure, she doesn't lead the most glamorous life, and her job leaves much to be desired - not surprising, considering she designs children's shoes complete with Strawberry Shortcake emblems, and the like. But she does have a great boyfriend, and a killer wardrobe, so things aren't so bad. At least, they weren't so bad, until Maddie stumbled upon the clever work of a brutal killer, and suddenly the latest Manolo styles are taking a backseat to murder. Then, the ultimate twist takes place - Maddie's boyfriend has pulled a Houdini, and is missing, along with $20 million in embezzled funds. Now, every step Maddie takes is being watched by the LAPD. Of course, Maddie doesn't mind too much, considering the cop is a hottie, and Maddie wants to make him hers - once she gets the boyfriend off her mind, that is. Now, with the help of her oversexed best friend, an over-the-hill bridezilla of a mother in the midst of planning her wedding to a man who could, quite possibly, be gay, and a 300-pound psychic, Maddie must strap on her most comfortable pair of stilettos, and hop on the trail of a murderer, in an attempt to clear her lying boyfriend's name, and stop the murders before anyone else ends up dead. But now she's beginning to wonder whether she'll be able to catch the killer before the killer catches her; and whether or not, even through all the lies, she can ditch her boyfriend, and make nice with the police officer of her dreams.

Maddie Springer is the Carrie Bradshaw of the amateur-detective world. The creme de la creme of high fashion, and high crime. The President of the United States of Manolos. She's also one of the most entertaining characters to hit fiction in years; whose fast-food cravings make you want to join her on her navigation through Los Angeles streets in search of the perfect hamburger. Gemma Halliday is, without question, one of the most hot-to-trot new authors to emerge in the writing world in years. Her dialogue is hip and trendy - as are the clothing designers she name-drops - while her plot is upbeat, fashionable, mysterious, and romantic - all rolled into one. An amazing first novel from a to-die-for new author. Readers will be tapping their heels anxiously as they await the next Maddie Springer novel.

I HAD A BIT OF TROUBLE GETTING GOING, BUT ONCE THE ACTION STARTED, SO DID MY PAGE TURNING. GEMMA HALLIDAY IS A VERY TALENTED WRITER, AND THE COMIC DIALOGUE AND SITUATIONS WERE LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY STUFF. IT WAS WHAT I WOULD CALL A GREAT BEACH READ, EXCEPT IT IS NOW AUTUMN AND I HAD TO DO MOST OF MY READING INDOORS. MY ONLY CRITICISM IS THAT IT BORROWED HEAVILY FROM JANET EVANOVICH'S STEPHANIE PLUM NOVELS. FROM THE SEXY COP/SEXY LATINO INTERPLAY BETWEEN MADDIE AND RAMIREZ, HER LOVE OF FRIED FOODS, TO THE KOOKY FAMILY RELATIONS, IT ALL SEEMED A LITTLE BIT FAMILIAR. STILL, THAT SAID, I ENJOYED THIS NOVEL JUST AS MUCH, IF NOT MORE THAN THE STEPHANIE PLUM ONES, PROBABLY BECAUSE OF THE NEW LOCALE AND THE NEW CHARACTERS. I LOOK FORWARD TO HER FOLLOW-UP BOOK DUE THIS SPRING.

This was like a bad combination of Evanovich's Plum and Kinsella's Bloomwood. Maddie who is a ditsy blond every self-respecting woman would want to strangle goes from chapter to chapter being either completely rude and oblivious to the needs of people she cares for and making stupid decision that only someone with a mental handicap would make.

I wanted to find it funny, like I did the entire series of Plum and like I did the first Shopaholic book, the difference between Ms. Evanovich and Kinsella is that Stephanie learns, grows and evolves as a character while Rebeca remains the same, either married, or mom, or as a TV personality or a personal shopper, she is always the same. I foresee the same for Maddie, who is so pathologically stupid I really cannot force myself to keep reading. I'm on chapter 9 right now and I can feel my IQ dropping. The sad thing is that the premise is good, the idea if not fresh, funny and the character has potential, but instead of making Maddie redeem herself and seem plausible and interested by at least TRYING to be less stupid, she insists on acting like a teenager, without regards of consequences.

UGH

I want to preface my review by first stating, that through no fault of the author, the Kindle version was poorly formatted, but not to the point of distraction, just not as well formatted as other Kindle offerings.

I wanted to review each book read, but it's far more fun doing it as a whole. I'd never heard of Ms. Halliday, but on a whim, I purchased all five (5) books at the same time. From the first page of the first book, "Spying in High Heels," I was hooked. Ms. Halliday has such a gift for portraying her characters, that I felt as though I were the one right in the middle of it all.

Her descriptions are vivid, her characters have depth and substance, and the storyline of each of the books was well written, crafted, described and believable. The last book, "Mayhem in High Heels" had laugh out loud funny spots, that truly sent me into gales of laughter. I'm afraid my family thought me slightly nuts as I'd sit outside reading a description of a character, and finding it so darn funny, that I literally couldn't stop laughing.

The main character, Maddie, lives in the Los Angeles area, and being a native Californian, I was able to relate to many of her descriptions and locales. That added a dimension for me that some of you might not be able to relate to, but it doesn't take away from the books being well written.

Each of the books has a great plot, storyline and they're written in a way that gets you involved and I can't say that I ever actually guessed "who done it," so that made it all the more fun.

The books certainly don't have to be read in succession; that's just how I like to do it so that I don't get hooked, then have to wait for months for the next installment. I bought them, and started reading them in order. Each book is its own freestanding story, so it's not like the second one is a continuation of the first one, but reading them in their numerical order makes it a little easier because things that happened in the previous book are referenced, but they don't have any bearing on each book, its storyline or its outcome.

The characters are truly funny, as are the predicaments they find themselves in and how they get into and out of them.

I enjoyed each and every one of these books, and enjoyed the writing style of Ms. Halliday so much, that I'm certainly going to read more of her offerings.

If you're looking for a fun, fast, interesting and funny "who done it" series, this is a must have. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. Thank you for reading my review.'

Beautifull Dress - sundresses, sundress

I was skeptical that a dress could be considered "free size" (aka One Size fits all), especially seeing as I am a D cup. But It really does fit! I had bought it thinking that it could be used as a swim suit cover up, if it didn't fit correctly. However, now that I have it, I can tell you that I am really excited to use it. Where I live it is already getting warm enough to wear it with a cardigan, and I am looking forward to wearing it this summer without it. I may even buy it in more colors. Alki'i Women's One-size-fits-all Tube Dress/Coverup with African Print - Turquoise

I love this dress, it was delivered in rush time, it is true to the colors, style and fit. At first I was skeptical because of the "One Size Fit All" but it truly fits me and for a stretch halter top, supports me. I am a size 2, wear a 40DD bra, and I am going to buy another of the same style in another color. Its very rare that I can find summer dresses that are brawless styles, but supposed to support (as they do smaller ladies) that actually do. The material is thin for summer wear, but not see through.

I LOVE THIS DRESS!!!!!!

I recently wore this dress to a summer party, and loved it! I am 5'2" with a slim figure, and the dress fit nicely, reaching just below the knee. As I had read the previous reviews, I was curious to see if it would really be as well received as others have said. It was no joke, I got many lovely compliments from friends of both genders. Well worth it, and I'll be sure to make full use of it this summer!

Definitely not what I expected...it was MORE!!! Wow...that's what my hubby said when he saw the dress on me! It fit perfectly for my petite frame and the print is just GORGEOUS! This was a very good shopping experience.

I'm a size 12 (36D) in dresses and this one was a bit tight at the top. I find that when an item is described as "one size" it really means it will fit up to a size 10 comfortably. I ordered the green dress and it is very bright and islandy. I think it would be fine as a beach coverup, but if you're busty you'll be calling a lot of attention to yourself if you wear this on the street! Fabric isn't cotton and does look a little cheap but it WAS cheap - LOL. Also it does bulge out in the hip area which makes me look even bigger. What woman want's that? Won't be sending it back but not in love.

The design on the dress is very pretty. It's a light, summery dress, and I don't have to wear a bra with it. I bought the blue, and it was a darker, greener blue than in the picture. Still pretty, but darker. The length seems good for me; I am 5'2 and it is just below the knee.

This is a free size, but the description means it when it says the minimum size is 3. I wear size 0 and bought it knowing I would probably have to take it in. I was correct. That being said, the elastic at the very top seemed too tight on me even before I took in the sides. I ended up having to add elastic at the top to make it comfortable. - Sundresses - Casual - Sundress - Night Out'

Fruit Of The Loom - fruit of the loom

I ordered these to wear when I go to the gym. I personally find them to be kind of rough (definitely not soft) and easy to stretch out. However they don't ride down so that's a plus. For use at the gym or outdoors, they're fine. Nothing praiseworthy, nothing terrible. Fruit of the Loom Women's 6-Pack No-Show Socks,White,Size 4-10

I bought these socks because I wanted some new pairs for everyday use, including walking the dog. First thing I noticed is that they are paper thin: there isn't much to them. That's fine, I went cheap so it's to be expected. Second thing I noticed, the elasticity is almost non-existant: I think I broke the thread or whatever held it together the first time I opened the sock to put on. Again, I know I paid for cheap socks so they were still doing their job in my book. The thing that killed it for me was when I went to walk the dog today, and partway through our walk I could feel that my toes were hurting from rubbing against the cheap material. I walk my dog 4-5 days a week on the same route--I am not overweight or out of shape, and today was the first day where my toes were in pain after we got home. I think I may be getting blisters from the uncomfortable fabric of those socks.

In the end, they're not that expensive, but if you plan on doing any sort of extended activity that requires walking/moving, be warned that the inner material might cause you some discomfort if you're used to wearing better/average socks normally. These things are not even worth buying because of the price, just save yourself the hassle and get better socks!

I wear size 6 shoe, and these socks supposedly made for sizes 4-10 were too big. I am not sure they would have been very comfortable even if I had bigger feet. I will stick with the ones they sell at Costco from now on. They aren't any more expensive, but way better quality and fit.

I walk/jog a few miles everyday, and these socks were too thin and too scratchy to get the job done. They are not soft at all, nor thick enough to prevent blisters. I only wear them when nothing else is clean.

after the day is through you will notice how baggy and stretched out these socks feel. I have some champion socks that are similar and they stay on your feet and don't stretch out and slide all around your foot. they were inexpensive and cover my foot, but that's really not worth it to me.

I like a sock that hugs your foot with a little spandex in it...these feel like a bag around your foot...

but they are socks so I'm not to bent outta shape about it. - Fruit Of The Loom'
