Lingerie

Perhaps I was looking for a miracle, but I looked in the wrong box.

When I got this, I was extremely excited from hearing the reviews and tried it on immediately. One thing I can say is, make sure you're completely dry (after a bath or showering) before you attempt to put this thing on or you'll put yourself at risk of ripping it (or developing a serious muscle-strain).

I was somewhat dissappointed that the "firm control" wasn't quite as firm as I'd hoped--although that was more a problem with my expectation than the product itself. I'm not overweight or obese, but I'd hoped to hold in some of the extra skin (leftover from pregnancy) from hanging over the top of my new skinny jeans if I wore a form-fitting top. Unfortunately, as you can probably guess, there was still a bulge present--although it was a bit smoother. But a bulge is still a bulge, and I detest a muffin top.

It does work well under a dress if the skirting is long enough to hide the mid-thigh cut-off; and it was comfortable to wear even under the jeans. I managed to wear it for extended periods of time which did require a little acrobatic manuevering in the bathroom. I found (forgive the details, but you'll want to know this) that the best way to use the bathroom is to pull the fabric taught on the outer side of both buttocks as you sit down. And hold it there while you slowly relieve yourself #1. I would NOT recommend attempting the other bodily function, I have not tried this for fear the hole is too small.

One last thing, if your jeans are "skinny" be prepared for some roll-up when you pull your pants up after using the bathroom. I'm sure some people in the other stalls got quite a kick out of my jig performance, but I eventually got it all worked out in the end.

Aside from my humour, I'd say this product is okay. Just don't expect an instant miracle (there is no fool-proof substitution for a good workout or lipo). As long as you keep in mind the product's limitations and how to use it, you will probably find it does a decent job for smoothing out the lines. But no, it will not keep everything sucked in for a perfect figure. I'll let you know when I find something that does!

Please note, I much prefer the bodysuit with legs vs. the plain bodysuit. The legs assist in avoiding a pantyline while the bodysuits from multiple manufacturers seem to give me lines no matter how loose I pull it down. Although with the bodysuit you can at least use the potty without a problem. Lipo in a Box "Original Firm Control" Control Bodysuit w/Legs w/Underwire, Nude XL

This is very true to size if you follow the weight chart! It gives a nice amount of support for big chested women, yet is lightweight so you can enjoy the affair you are wearing it to and not feel sucked in and tortured.. The only problem I have with it is worrying about the bathroom,,,,,,,sure there is a big enough gap to urinate ,,,,,but if you have to really go----I d have to take it all off to be sure. I took one star away for my bathroom issue.....but I love it!

This is the best foundation garment I have ever found! I have heavy legs and many of these type of garments leave a bulge at the bottom. I wear 2X clothing, but according to the size chart I only needed 1X and it was a perfect fit, so you can rely on that chart. I was amazed at how light it is and how easy to put on. There was no struggle at all and it is extremely comfortable. It does not restrict movement at all. The best part is, it stays in place--no rolling up or down. The only reason I cannot give it five stars is because, for a heavy busted woman, the bra is not extremely supportive. I am satisfied with the way it looks and it fits extremely well, but if you like a lot of bra support, you have to really tighten up the straps.

Can you believe it, this works and is comfortable! I can not ask for more from a shaper undergarment. I am extremely happy with my purchase. When I first took it out of the box, I thought "you have to be kidding, this is going to fit me?!" Well it does , and it shapes and stops the jiggle! And is comfortable !!

I was a little skeptical about the product, even after phoning the manufacturer for a sizing consultation. Once I received it, and tried it on with the dress for which it was purchased...WOW! It really does work! And feels so comfortable. This is THE BEST YET!

This one actually WORKS! The others I have tried rolled down and made your situation worse looking! And these are easy to wash....I just throw mine in a mesh pantihose bag and in the washer....comes out perfect! Love them!

I was really like this bodysuit. It is comfortable and who ever thought of putting in the crotch opening is a genius. I own a few different shape garments and this one is one of the best. I just wish that it came in a strapless style.

This is the best bodysuit I've found. It truly does everything I need it to do. It offers great support without feeling like your grandmother's girdle. AND because of the very generous gusset atea, it is actually possible to use the bathroom without incident.

Definitely worth every penny!

This is the BEST full-body shaper I've found! It's just the right support, not too hot, the underwires don't poke (although at an "F" cup size I find the support could be better) and you can wear a bra underneath if you want.

It does take a little maneuvering to use the restroom without leaving a liquid trail, the crotch opening is large enough for the intended purpose. If you hand-wash it, it takes a long time to dry, so I've been machine-washing it (I was sent a zippered lingerie bag with it) and I pop it in the dryer anyway. It's not noticeable under knit pants and the legs are long enough so that they don't ride up.

I am 6'2", and the 2X bodysuit fits me almost perfectly so it might be too long on a short person. I highly recommend this shaper if you don't need the support of a girdle or extremely firm shaper.'

Moeller Marine - electrical equipment, boating

The box, without the top has a 9 inches height. A group 27 battery case is ~ 8 inches in height. If you strap down the box as directed, the battery can bounce up and down inside the box when crossing waves, putting unnecessary strain on the battery cables. The old Attwood box I have is 8 inches height without the top. Unfortunately the new Attwood boxes appear to have the same problem. To tie down my battery properly, I am going to have to cut 1 inch off the box, including the handles to properly secure my battery. I think West Marine sells a box with the correct height, but I am stuck with this one for now. Not worth the shipping cost to return the item. Moeller Injection-Molded Marine Battery Box (One 27, 30 or 31-Series Battery, 13.44" x 7.75" x 10.5")

This item purchased for a camper has performed well and has stood up to at least a full year's worth of use. It still appears new and has no visual damage from its continued use. Would recommend or purchase again if needed.

Grabbed this item for a solar project I'm working on. My UPG Group 30 battery fits perfectly inside the box with just enough wiggle room on the sides so I could customize my box with gauges and other fittings. The plastic is very sturdy and fits onto a hand truck for convenient movement. Couldn't be more pleased. - Moeller Marine - Boating - Rv - Electrical Equipment'

Facial Cleanser - easy, towelettes

I've used the Almay makeup remover pads (the ones in the small round container) for years. And they have slowly gotten more expensive. So for awhile I switched to gauze pads and an eye-makeup remover solution. Eh - it worked, but I didn't love it like I did the Almay pads. Then, I stumbled across the Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing towelettes. I'm hooked. They are big enough that you can wash your entire face with them and still have a section available to take off your eye makeup (waterproof liner and mascara!) They have a wonderful lavender smell. (I suppose if you don't like lavender you may not like these.) I gave one to my daughter one night because I wanted her to try a new eyeliner, and she came back later and said, "can I have some of those for Christmas?" I will admit they are not cheap. But, the 2 pack of 25 means it lasts me 2 months (there are usually at least a couple days I go without makeup), and I get them on the Subscribe & Save, so it's an even better deal. I like how soft these leave my face, without that sticky or greasy feeling many of the other facial cleaners have. I keep these sitting in my basket next to the couch, take off my makeup as I am finishing up work emails for the night, then rinse my face with water when I go to bed. Great item - very happy I found it. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, Refill Pack, 25 Count

These are very handy, and seem to take off the majority of my makeup, but not all. If you have normal to oily skin they are probably great. My skin is more on the dry side, and I found that after I used these for a few days my skin became even more dry and it began to sting when I used them. Now I keep them for airplane travel or camping, but I wouldn't use them on a daily basis with dry skin.

I chose the Neutrogena towelettes because they're alcohol and paraben-free and safe for eye makeup removal. They're great for cleansing on days when I don't wear makeup, but I find that there's a lot less tugging on the delicate eye area if I loosen mascara first with a cream-to-oil makeup remover and then use a towelette.

Pleasant scent, large enough to clean the whole face. Wish there was a more reliable way to re-seal the package, but the towelettes stayed moist despite sealing issues. Delivery from Amazon was prompt, well-packaged.

This is one of the better makeup remover towelettes I've tried. It gets my make-up off easily with the exception of my waterproof mascara. I also wear a gel eyeliner and it takes it off after several wipes which is better than most other towelettes. Overall, I recommend it.

So I am one of those women who love to fall asleep with my make-up on. My skin hate me for this. I tried these as a quick and easy solution for this. I wear a full face of make-up to work everyday along with waterproof mascara. This is the only cleansing wipe I have found that will take off waterproof mascara, gel blusher, and 18 hour lipstick with one wipe.

I use one side of the wipe for the face and flip is over to take off my eye make-up. After that I rinse my face with cool water and pat dry. You don't have to do this, it is my personal preference though. - Facial Cleanser - Makeup Remover - Towelettes - Easy'

Aa Battery - battery, aa battery

I'm pretty used to buying batteries online and finding they had been made long before I ordered them (had some CR123 with experations the next month from another vendor). In at least my case, my batteries from this vendor show a production date of 3/30/10...and I ordered them on April 18th. You can't get any younger batteries (exp is Mar2016). I'll be checking this distrbutor out for the rest of my battery needs. Duracell Coppertop AA Batteries, 20-Count

I got these about three weeks ago, and still haven't used them up yet. So many batteries. Awesome. So far, they've lasted about four times as long in my Canon digital point-and-shoot than my Energizer rechargeables. And they're on track to outperform the regular Energizers in my Xbox controllers. I think I'm a coppertop convert. The price is pretty good, too--probably not the absolute cheapest, but these are real Duracells (not knockoffs) that are far from their expiration date.

If you check out local stores, you will find these are at least a bit below retail sales price for these batteries. Batteries will always be around the same price, but a few dollars off is worth getting them through Amazon!

Although I'm sure my local fire department will cringe if they read this, I buy these things for our backups for our fire alarms and they last over 4 years! Wow! Now if I buy a knockoff brand, or even Energizer, I can only get 18 months out of them before they start squealing to be replaced. Plus, this 8 battery pack makes it awfully simple to have them around when it comes time to change them, and it's the right number for my house. Love these Duracells! Highly, highly recommend!

I tend to buy batteries based on two prime criteria. First, lithium for units that will have a long down time (since lithium holds its charge well over time, I hate to be surprised by an emergency flashlight that doesn't work); alkaline, for everyday appliances (it doesn't last as long, but the cost benefit ratio is beneficial). Second,I shop for a good price. Duracell alkalines are top of the line batteries that I prefer for all my everyday item, like remotes, clocks, mini-amps, etc. This particular offering is a great price, that I haven't matched anywhere.

Very highly recommended.

Live in foothills. After going through 3 days of no power and new storm coming, looked for D batteries and they were all sold out. Like the convenience of having enough and the price was right at Amazon!

Although I mostly use nimh cells these days for their higher current capacity and their green qualities of not being thrown away, there are things that still need alkaline batteries. Remote controlls can run 2 years on a set (although the eneloop cells are an option). Some flashlights need the 1.5 vs the 1.2 volt difference in alkaline cells and nimh. Also some times you don't have 4 charged up batteries ready to go, so alkaline is the alternative you pay for not keeping a set charged up.

I bought these when I bought my dad a weather station - it had about 5 outdoor devices, all used 2 ea alkaline batteries to run the radio remote weather sensors that transmit to the base station which used 4 AAs for backup if AC fails.

These are fresh date code, healthy cells and fill the bill just fine when you need them. NOTE - in some places where the outdoor equipment was hard to get to (have to climb on roof) I used the L91bp lithium alternative Energizer L91BP-8 Lithium AA Photo Battery (8-Pack) which you get about 8 cells for the price of 20 here, but they last 8 times longer, saving alot of trips to the roof to change the batteries. The down low sensors got alkaline cells instead. It's important to choose the right cell based on intended use, and this is one example. Also I have a temp sensor in the refrigerator that runs on lithium cells due to the low temp - they work fine at freezing temps, and will radio the temp to the weather station which has alarms set if the freezer fails. - Battery - Alkaline Batteries - Aa Battery - Aa Batteries'

graph paper - graph paper

The Rediform/National brand is the best engineering paper I've used (computation pads used to be called engineering paper). I'm fussy about my paper and this has what I want:

- Consistent margins

- Grid on back starts at the margins, not at the page edges like Tops brand

- Grid on back is easy to see from the front & the heavy grid lines every five squares is heavier than Tops. National Brand Computation Pad, Plain and 5 X 5 Quad On Back, Green Paper, 8.5 x 11 Inches, 100 Sheets (42382)

I used a lot of these pads during engineering/architecture college days and have continued to use them, even though fewer in this "computer age", for professional purposes and for DIY projects around home. Much better for most purposes than paper with grid on the front face.

As a scientist: National Brand computation pads got me through undergrad and graduate studies. They are the best, but I want metric pads! Who really uses the kings system and inches still anyway (besides backwards US institutions). - Graph Paper'

Air Mattress Pump - electric air pump, air mattress pump

I purchased this pump for use on my inflatable kayak, but this would be a godsend for anyone with lots of floats to blow up at the pool or beach. I especially like the deflate feature which allows you to remove all the air quickly so that you can fold up your float. Inflation and deflation are really fast with this pump. Coleman 12-Volt DC QuickPump

It does what it is designed to do, and pretty quickly. However, I should have read the product description more closely; I assumed that the car plug-in was a bonus feature, not the only means of powering the pump! So to blow up an air mattress for an incoming houseguest, I had to drag the mattress to and from the garage. No big deal, my fault, just took me by surprise. I have since bought a $2 wall outlet-to-car plug converter so that I can inflate it indoors.

The pump works fine off my car's 12v power socket. But I should have looked at power converters before I bought. If you want to inflate a Coleman bed inside as well as camping, I realized after the fact that it's much cheaper to get a decent quality inverter that converts automotive dc power to AC than vice versa. So while the pump works fine off car power for camping, I'll have to inflate the mattress outdoors for home use. I'd recommend buying the AC-powered pump and then a 12v to ac adapter for the car. That way you could run the air pump, your cell phone charger, laptop or anything else that plugs into an AC outlet in your car too. Wish I'd thought that through before I bought.

We are so glad we got this pump for our inflatable kayak. Thank you, Amazon recommendations.

We've used this about 3 or 4 times so far. It's straightforward and easy to use. Plug it into the cigaratte lighter of your car, attach the appropriate nozzle thing (there are 2; I don't know whether there are standardized hole sizes for inflatable objects or something, but they fit perfectly), then turn it on. You can tell when the object is fully inflated because the pump gets louder. Oh, the pump is pretty loud, maybe as loud as a dustbuster. Not an issue for us as we've always used it outdoors.

Probably even cooler than the fact that it inflates is that it also deflates. Have you ever tried to fully deflate an air mattress manually? Or a kayak? It's maddening. I wish my air mattress' inflater were also a deflater, because no amount of body contortions and patience ever seems to fully deflate the bed, which makes the bed harder to fold and store, etc. Same went for our kayak when we took the deflater for granted. It's just so worth it.

I think the only issue with this pump is that it feels kinda cheap. It's plastic-y and really light, neither of which is actual criteria for gauging quality, really, but I'm just putting it out there FWIW. We haven't had a problem with it, and it does what it's supposed to do.

Pros:

Works fast, moves a decent amount of air.

Does a good job of filling most rafts and inflatable kayaks to 80% capacity. You should top it off with a good hand pump anyway.

Deflate port for getting air out quick.

Cons:

LOUD. They are all loud, but this one really screams like a vacuum cleaner on steroids.

No hose. Pump must be held right up against the valve the entire time.

Boston valve adapter is not tight enough, has some blow by.

Power cord is very short. About 9 feet. Good if you cut the cord and put on alligator clips, but inconvenient if you want to use a power port on your dashboard. You end up right next to and under the door with a big raft or mattress.

The directions say to have a 15-20amp fuse in your car's power tap. Most cars will have a ten amp. Putting in a 15 or 20 amp will cause a problem and will not be covered by your cars warranty if you then fry your car wiring. Do NOT put a bigger fuse in there. EVER. Later in the directions it says a ten amp fuse is fine. As if they can't make up their mind. For the record, running this pump for 20 minutes straight it was just fine with a ten amp fuse.

Overall, a good pump for the money. Less than $15 and does the job it was intended to do. You take the noise and the poor connectors when you go this inexpensive. It still works fine. I think Coleman should extend the cord at least five more feet and add alligator clips as a snap on attachment for clipping right to a battery.

This is an excellent pump for high flow and low pressure applications like a floating inner tube, raft or inflatable kayak. It should work great for beach balls, too. I adapted my hand pump hose to fit this pump by putting a couple turns of electrical tape on the hose end. There is a long 12V cord that fits car outlets. I've only used it for a couple days, so later I can report the reliability.

==> It's been over a year now and I've used it about a dozen times. Still works great. I even bought a second one for my son-in-law this year (2010) and likes it also.

This worked for basically one summer. We used it on vacation in August of 2005 to inflate a few items, then we used it again in June and July of 2006 and in mid-July it stopped working completely and we had to throw it away.

It worked great when it worked. - Air Pump - Air Mattress - Air Mattress Pump - Electric Air Pump'

Barbie - midas

Item was described incorrectly by seller. This was exactly the opposite of what I was looking for. Item was described as "Shiny Gold" when in fact the paint was Flat gold with flecks of glitter. Not adequate for jewelry. Terribly disappointed. Krylon 1000 Premium Metallic Spray Paint, Gold

I have worked with genuine gold leaf, and this product comes the closest of any I have seen to a 'gold leaf' paint, and even better, it's a spray paint!

Make sure your product is ready for the product. Primer should be used, finely sanded, then lightly scuff sanded, then painted with product. Finally, let it dry, and then wipe it clean of any dust.

I bought this particular paint for the reviews and the "plated" look as opposed to just painted with gold paint look. I used it to paint hardware on our front door that many years ago had been brass...probably nice shiny brass, but after 30+ years, they were are pretty much black. I painted the mail slot covers..which I could probably have just bought a new one, but this one fit and I didn't want to worry about it fitting exactly the same or having to cut the door again. The other piece was a very OLD "peek-a-boo". They don't make anything like this ornate one anymore. The only ones you can find online are little jail bar replicas. The one we have the builder probably installed when the house was built over 70 years ago. I should have taken before pictures, but I didn't think to. I did take a couple of after pictures so you can see the results I got with this product. I don't know if it was the finish of the things I painted, or just the paint, but the look is more "just painted gold" than anything that might be mistaken for plating. Not bad, our door looks alot better...but I wish it had been a little more on the shiny side. Let me also say... I really shook it before I used it. Maybe some day I'll take the peek-a-boo and have it plated. But for now they do look much better than before. - Midas'

Baby Footed Pants - baby footed pants, body suits

The size seems right but I'm not sure how they will hold up in the wash. They are way thinner than I expected them to be. Baby will wear these in the summer so thin is ok but these are paper thin. Doesn't feel like good quality fabric. If I would have been able to feel these ahead of time, I would not have purchased them. I'll make the best of them! Carter's Watch the Wear Boys 3 Pack Pants, Blue, 3-6 Months

I purchased a 6-9 months pack. I received a package labeled as size 6-9 months. However, inside the package was one size 0-3 months pant and two size 3-6 months pants.

Beside the wrong size, I was very pleased with the pants quality. The cotton is light/thin and soft, unlike the thicker pants I see in the stores. It's perfect for the cool spring days. - Baby Footed Pants - Baby Clothes - Body Suits - Bodysuits'

Green Smoothies - raw foods, healthy eating

I used to do a lot of juicing in the past but it is very time consuming and really messy. My problem is over since I got Green for Life. Making smoothies is a great alternative to juicing. It is much faster, less messy, and you also get some fiber in addition to juice. In addition to great recipes for making smoothies the book is also a good source of information about proper nutrition, the importance of hydrochloric acid in the stomach and much more. Get this book!! Another great volume that you may not miss is Can We Live 150. These two books together make a perfect gift of showing the way to healthy living just for anyone. Green for Life

What a wonderful book! For the past 20 years I've been on a quest to eat more natural foods, and my health improved drastically. But I still suffered from junk food cravings...until I discovered Green for Life!

Following Victoria's advice, I added lots of GREENS to my fruit smoothies, and the first day I did so MY FOOD CRAVINGS STOPPED. Bang. Just vanished. Just like my brain's "cravings switch" was flipped to the OFF position. Apparently my body had been craving minerals all those years, and once I started eating GREENS the cravings stopped. And I'm finally trimming down!

Victoria's research in this area is much needed, and much appreciated. I especially love the chapter on the chimpanzees and their daily eating habits.

My wife and I participated in one of Victoria's Green for Life teleconferences, and we loved it. She speaks from her heart, is really a nice lady, and this was one of the best conferences ever. We love Victoria! And we sure love the changes that are happening in our bodies!

Get this Green for Life book, make yourself some green smoothies, and watch your food cravings vanish. This is the secret to losing weight! :)

Thanks, Victoria, for Green for Life!

I was diagnosed with IBS almost a year ago, and tried my best to control it through diet (check out Heather VonVorous' Eating for IBS), but I would still have flare-ups, especially during stressful times.

The green smooties are not only easy to digest (b/c its all blended for you) but they do wonders to regulate your GI tract. I have not had a flare- up since I started drinking my smoothies. If you have IBS, acid reflux, heartburn, or any other digestive issues you owe it to yourself to read this book.

I've been studying nutrition with an almost overly-zealous passion since I was about 18 years old and I've run through so many paradigms and points of view they run the gamut from athletic old-school nutritional ideas (like loading up on big juicy steaks before athletic events) to "the Zone", food combining (of which I am a practitioner and believer), anti wheat/gluten/dairy/meat lifestyles, high protein fads (never even tried this because it made NO sense on any level to me) to the strictest Candida cleanses out there (lived on the Body Ecology Diet for years, and it did change my life at the time) and then finally found my way to the whole raw foods movement.

Eating raw foods for the enzymes, pure nutrition and life force just felt right to me, but when I'd pick up raw meals or look at recipes I saw the need for expensive kitchen equipment I neither wanted nor could afford, and overly complex recipes I didn't even want to think about attempting. In what might be an intuitive aspect, I hate cooking! I used to joke that if there was some kind of drink or mush we could live on in perfect health, like Robocop, and it tasted good I'd be all over it!

Well, I got closer when I found Dr. Doug Graham's book "The 80/10/10 Diet", which has some fabulous concepts and ideas, but when I applied them it wasn't quite the perefct fit. Close, but no banana, so to speak. This whole green smoothie concept came to me through Facebook of all things, and while I've only been adding these to my life for about a week, I am already a firm believer that THIS is the missing piece to the nutritional puzzle for me.

I began reading this book last night to augment the knowledge and recipes I'd already found in doing online research and I absolutely love this. Victoria speaks from the heart but also obviously put so much time and focus into looking into this from a scientific standpoint, the research is admirable. Personally, I don't really need science to tell me what works, I try things out (other than Atkins) and see how I feel. But the science is certainly interesting and validating. Some people might scoff at using champanzees as nutritional models for us to follow or look to for advice but if you leave aside human ego for a moment and open your mind the tiniest bit there is SO much to be gleaned from this point of view.

I've had the oddest and most overwhelming cravings for fast food and junk food my whole life, especially lately and I'd find I could eat incredibly healthy and hydrate myself so well for a while, then I'd swing into ridiculous binges. When I read another review on here raving about these smoothies stopping those cravings I literally went to the store that night, loaded up on gorgeous greens and fruit and tried it. And they were right. The cravings were gone before I was halfway through my evening dinner smoothie. I wasn't hungry or thirsty and even my emotional comfort food trigger was silenced. That seemed impossible but it happened. So I kept at it all weekend, making sure I always had at least one good pint per day, preferably two. Here's what I've noticed in just this first week:

- better memory

- increased clarity and ability to focus at work

- while everyone here, even the healthy folks, are dropping like flies with some virus floating around, I have no symptoms whatsoever

- physical pms symptoms that were present recently are gone

- chronic asthma is lessening day by day

- better sleep

- several really great bowel movements per day

- waking up easily and before my alarm even! (haven't done that in ages)

- decreased appetite and cravings for sugar, etc

And this is just from having about one per day for 6 days. Seriously. This book answers many questions for me and gives me yet another fabulous tool in my quest for total well being. I've always wondered why I found greens in quantity so hard to digest, even when taking enzymes with them, and she explains that very clearly and logically here. Now I know that by blending these greens, we are essentially "pre-chewing" them for our bodies until they relearn how to digest what we are meant to rely on for most of our nutritional needs; greens. And since these include ample amounts of fruit these smoothies taste great.

I'm so grateful to Victoria for her tireless work and for sharing this with everyone ready for really stellar health. If I feel this wonderful just adding them into my usual daily routine, I can only imagine what awaits.

I used her husband's smoothie recipe this morning (spinach, lime, banana, apple and water) and it's fantastic. Replaces my long-time cravings for some kind of sweet breakfast (which used to be a blended or iced coffee drink with a scone).

And personally, I love that she shares the experiences of herself and her family along the way as anecdotal support for her journey into this way of living. It takes interesting concepts and makes them more relevant and real for me. But nothing replaces my own experience, as she wonderfully points out in the beginning of the book, and for me this has been life changing already. - Raw Food Recipes - Raw Foods - Raw Food - Healthy Eating'

Tilting Wall Mount - tv wall mount, lcd wall mount

We have installed (2) of these mounts. (1) on a 26" LCD and (1) on a 32" LCD. Both installations were easy, with the product meeting expectations. The second mount we installed was missing a couple of minor parts so I sent a quick e-mail to Cheetah mounts. An hour later, I had the 2nd day air tracking number for the remaining parts. While it was frustrating to be missing the parts, I was amazed by the quick response. Cheetah Mounts ALAMLB LCD TV Wall Mount Bracket with Full Motion Swing Out Tilt and Swivel Articulating Arm

I like this mount. It is strong and holds a 30" TV no problem. The extension is very nice and the tilt helps with the glare from the dome light in the ceiling. It can turn all the way to the side and lets the TV face the kitchen counter. Our TV used the inside holes which are VESA 100 but it has wider holes as well so we could use it for a larger TV in the future. A torpedo shaped level comes with it which is now a nice addition to the tool drawer. Basically really liked it. The only issue is the TV being level. The TV tilts just slightly to the right. Enough to bother me. Only annoyance on an otherwise good product.

Update: I called Cheetah about the TV not being level. It turns out the screw behind the TV which controls the tilt Also allows the TV to twist a little. Now our TV is level!

We just mounted a 26" LCD and this mount worked perfectly. Well constructed and super easy to install. Before purchasing I called the company to verify the TV would work with this mount, I was only on hold for a few seconds before speaking with a rep who was more than helpful. I highly recommend, especially at this sale price.

I was trying to save some money on a wall mount and came across Cheatah Mounts which sells mounts that look like the ones you see at a store but waay cheaper. I was excited and ordered. Once delivered, I installed the mount (I have experience installing 3 mounts previously for various TVs). THIS IS THE WORST MOUNT I have ever installed. Installation was easy, but the metal arm sags away from the mount badly, making anything you mount on it crooked. I was really disappointed in this mount. The return policy does not cover shipping, so BUYER BEWARE. CHEETAH MOUNTS LCD TV ARTICULATING ARM WALL MOUNT FOR 23-37" DISPLAYS BLACK

UPDATED: - The company cantacted me by phone expressing their concern about the RMA I requested. The representative was extremely helpful and wanted me to know that it was most likely a manufactuing defect. They sent me the RMA number and shipping label and are giving me a full refund. I was very impressed with their reponsiveness and would consider purchasing from them again as I know that they seem to stand behind their products and have excellent support.

I can't imagine why anyone would rate this poorly. Those that do, are doing everyone else a disservice. I almost passed this one up because the poor reviews and low price made me apprehensive. This mount is well built, well packaged, attractive, easy to install, and how can you beat the price? I can only imagine that those who rated it poorly don't know what they're doing with tools and/or can't or won't follow instructions. For those that complained of insecure and sagging mounts, they probably know nothing about wall construction and didn't bother reading the instructions. YOU MUST INSTALL TO A WALL STUD OR MASONRY!!! For the other mounting complaints, I can only repeat, these people either failed to read the instructions or with no offense intended, are not mechanically inclined. You only have yourself to blame, not the manufacturer. If I ever need another, I will definitely buy this one again.

good price for this mount and is a decent deal. desc says "single stud mount" but mine apparently arrived only with the docs and h/w for installation in a concrete wall....nevertheless with some deck screws we solidly installed it into a stud anyway. mounted a 37" Vizio tv with no difficulty whatsoever. this is definitely strong enough for a 37 lcd w/o prob. seems to be decently made w/good enough materials for this type installation anyway. satisfied enough.

Aside from the length of time it took to arrive it has surpassed my expectations and was worth the wait. This mount is very sturdy and was very easy to install. It mounts very easily on a single stud and came with with more than enough hardware to do it. Mine is holding an older (possibly heavier) Samsung 26in lcd and it doesn't sag. I paid almost $100 for a non-articulating mount at BestBuy that is already busted. This one at a 1/4 of the cost is far superior. Highly Recommended!

Bought this for a 42" LG 42LD450 LCD monitor.

[The original listing said it worked on monitors up to 42" however the details have been updated to now say '23" to 32" with some 42" monitors' with no further info on which larger ones... The box says 23" to 32" and nothing in the instructions indicated it is adaptable to larger monitors, but I took a chance since it had the VESA holes and appropriate weigh limits. Check with the manufacturer if you are looking to use it on a larger monitor.]

My LG weighs 30 lbs so it is well under the weight limitations, and it has the 200x200 VESA mounting holes. The mount weighs over 8 lbs. and seems very sturdy. It might even be overkill for a smaller TV; seems perfect for 30"-32" or even a larger one like ours.

I did notice some slight sag initially but was able to adjust that with the built in tilt adjustments and a tightening of the pivot nuts. The friction nuts on the pivots seems to work OK though I would not be confident if there was to be a lot of regular movement of the TV. (Swinging it out from the wall a lot might cause loosening of the pivots. While it makes it easier to move it also allows sag and even more loosening of those connections which would cause improper friction of the pivots and possible failure if too loose.) Just keep the two provided hex keys handy for regular fine tuning and tightening.

Easy installation. Nice build quality. Great price!

I am happy with this purchase and strongly recommend it over others based on price comparison and product quality (even though it is my first experience with wall mounting a monitor). - Lcd Mount - Lcd Wall Mount - Tilting Wall Mount - Tv Wall Mount'

Waste Of Time And Money - electronic arts, video games

I picked this game up to replace last year's version, and as a huge fan of college football I was pleased to see some neat additions (such as icing the kicker) that became a big part of the lexicon during last year's crazy season.

If you've played any of the games in the NCAA series, you know what to expect. Some new features for this year's version include "celebrating with the mascot" where you can run over to the mascot after running a touchdown and perform an animated celebration (mascot worshiping you/dancing around/etc.). The sideline players/cheerleaders/coaches actually exist this year, unlike in NCAA 08 when they mysteriously weren't on the sidelines during a game. You'll see cheerleaders dancing, players on the sidelines getting out of your way, etc. so the stadium atmosphere is much more alive than it was in last year's version.

Some new gameplay options are tweaks to the way running plays work. No longer can you just click 'go' and push forward, you can now find and exploit holes in the defense, you can get your offensive line to shift to one side to cover your option play, you can basically fine-tune your plays a bit more (as well as bluff your play art when playing side-by-side with a friend, something you couldn't do before).

On passing plays, you no longer have to worry about the AI intercepting the ball constantly. If they aren't facing it, they won't catch it. If you throw it directly into coverage though, do expect to be picked off.

Tackling has been upgraded, as has evasion. You can evade tackles if you know what you are doing, and you can also one-arm tackle, hit the player so hard they bust a flip and fall flat on their back, and basically do much more than just dive and pray like in NCAA 08.

Other neat features such as online dynasty mode, the ability to set up songs from playlists to play when certain things happen, downloading rosters, etc. give you much more in terms of having customization over your game.

Basically, each particular area in the game has been tweaked in just the right areas, and this is much more of a transition than 07 was to 08.

Bottom line: If they take what they have here and improve it for NCAA 10 then you can expect me to be a happy gamer for a while to come.

My only caveat with the PS3 version (I have both 360 and PS3) is that the controls are not quite as fluid. More often than not I was passing to the wrong guy, or lobbing the football like a girl. This is probably just due to the sixaxis way of handling the game, but maybe also because I was leaned back when playing and it probably didn't like that orientation. Otherwise - excellent choice for your system. NCAA Football 09

NCAA Football 2009 is by far the BEST yet. Sure, there are still some areas that can be improved upon or fixed. But, the game play, crowd interaction, icing kicker option, and many many other things make this an impressive and incredible game. I have been playing this nightly and can't seem to get enough. This WILL have you screaming from your couch just like watching real NCAA football.

COOL ITEMS:

- Icing the kicker: Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but it's a cool and welcomed addition to the reality of football.

- Turnovers aren't quite that easy: In 2007-08, picks and fumbles were all over the field. Now, having to be more aligned with the ball and needing a bit more skill, it's not a turnover free for all.

NOT SO COOL ITEMS:

- Celebrate with the Mascot: It's cool for the first few times but gets a bit repetitive or boring. Would be great if you could use select buttons to execute a celebration (or unlock celebrations with 'user' points

- The graphics can be a bit "choppy". Someimes the ball magically moves out of the QBs hands or receptions go through a players head/arms. These glitches should have been fixed by now considering the technological & graphical improvements already made.

- Guessing the defense when you turn the ball over? What does this really get you other than an intermission? And added feature would be gaining coaching experience points when getting it right in order to unlock hidden playbooks or even plays of the other team (game film for future games).

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE FUTURE (IF EA EVER LOOKS AT AMAZON): User tackles and such don't do much for you: Would recommend making 'user points' like you get with Madden. Maybe then you can earn points toward player improvements, coaching improvements, or even buy things for your campus (a new library, new uniforms). Just would make it even more fun to knock around people and have interaction! Include this and a celebration addition and it'll be even greater!

Overall - I give this 5 STARS and recommend it to anyone that LOVES football. It's as real as it gets!

I was hesitant about buying this game after being disappointed in the last several years versions, but I will say this year is an improvement.

I like the improvements made with the recruiting assistance, the player graphics and animations are better, I like the way the pre-snap routes will be squiqqly when playing on the road in a hostile environment, the re-addition of the cheerleaders is a good thing, and just playing the game is funner than last years.

I am disappointed in the way the crowd looks though, and there are a few glitches that bug me as well, such as when you throw passes near the sidelines your player will tip-toe and stretch to make the catch and fall down, even if they're not right next to the sideline, and have plenty of open field ahead of them. There are still some things that they can be improved upon to make it an even more enjoyable game playing experience, but I still like it.

First thing...this game is far and away a superior title to last years horrendous offering, and don't get me started about the 07 version. Gameplay is much improved with the game having a more natural feel and flow to it overall. You actually get a sense that you have some control over what you're doing, and what you may do next, when it comes to running with the ball. The previous versions were nothing more than an advanced guessing game with some less than intuitive button mashing going on to try and get to the next level. With 09, you can see the play developing and can react accordingly. The passing game benefits from this as well...I no longer feel immediate pressure to get the ball in the air the second I snap it. There is no issue with setting up to throw and finding a receiver for the most part. Of course you don't have all day either, and it's this solid balance that gives it that more authentic feel while running your offense.

Defensively...there is still alot of guess work involved...especially with rushing the passer. I wish it was more intuitive in regard to collision detection with the offensive lineman while using a defensive line player. I'm hoping this is something that gets easier to gauge as I continue to play. Linebacker play isn't all that bad, but you have to be careful not to lean on that left stick too much before the snap, or you will quickly put yourself either offside or out of position. Secondary play might as well not be allowed. I don't know anyone that ever bothers to start with a defensive back when playing these games.

Overall...very fun game. Would like to see some of the old PS2 bells and whistles added back in...like editing my coach, or playbook editing...but this is still a very fun game.

It looks amazing as well! I am so glad that the players no longer look like someone placed some plastic army men under a heat lamp anymore. The sizing and scaling of the player models is more true to life than it had been on next-gen consoles. They all still look like their skating up field still, but this is a very small issue considering that they have definitely improved on the player animations when tackling and making plays. (I flipped the first time one of my players broke into the open and then "looked back" at everyone after a few more steps)

The mini-games seem like they would be a great way to have fun online. Not sure how interesting the online dynasty will be...but we'll see...and one last thing...the recruiting has been revamped to make it as easy or involved as you would like it to be. (HUGE improvement!!)

Bottom line...BIG fun...grab your wallet...pick this one up! - Electronic Arts - Ncaa 09 - Sports - Video Games'
