Adam Lambert - kindle covers, kindle 3 case

This is a very nice case for my Kindle. All parts are protected except the keyboard, but that really isn't a big deal. I have easy access to all ports and buttons on the bottom and the forward and back buttons on the sides of the device are actually easier to press making reading on the Kindle even more enjoyable. The screen protectors do add a tiny bit of glare, but nothing horrible. I can still read the screen quite easily. Overall, a very attractive and useful case. AMAZON KINDLE 3 SOFT SILICONE SKIN CASE BLACK

I like this Kindle jacket. It does the job and makes the Kindle easy to hold. It was a great price and keeps my Kindle safe from scratches and bumps. The only thing I don't like about it is due to it's gel-like consistency it holds lint and dust. If I put it in my bag, it comes out looking like it went through the clothes dryer with a fuzzy sweater. It also came with a six pack of screen covers. You really can't beat the value for the price!

This case is very good at protecting the kindle from drops, scratches, etc. I have dropped my kindle twice by accident with the case on without any ill-effects. However, the screen protectors add quite a bit of glare. After doing some research, I learned that you don't really need screen protectors with the kindle, as amazon has done a terrific job at making the screen very scratch resistant. I have had my kindle for over a month now, and I have yet to receive a scratch on the screen. Unfortunately though, this case seems to double the weight of the kindle. However, once you get used to it, the extra weight is no longer noticeable.

product is ok and i would recommend if you are using it by itself. The only draw back I purchase a cover and the kindle will not fit in the cover with the skin on. love the protector screen. Overall its worth the price.

This cover is great, i love it! It fits perfectly and you can get to all the buttons without having to remove it. I wanted a black cover and it is VERY black. It's very soft to the touch and comfortable. I also like the screen covers that came with it...they do add a bit of glare but for me it's not bad at all. They are hard to get on without getting bubbles in them but besides that I think they are great...especially because you get so many and you also get a cleaning cloth with them. The shipping was ridiculously fast...it arrived 3 days before the estimated time. Great product, I would highly recommend!

This cover fit my Kindle perfectly and seemed to provide good protection against normal bumps and such. The only problem I encountered was that the screen protectors were (literally) about a millimeter too long. When I first applied one to the screen, it was slightly too long which left the top part curling up onto the Kindle cover. I easily remedied this by trimming off the extra.

Because I wanted to be able to put my Kindle in my backpack, I ended up purchasing a hard, folio type cover, but otherwise, I would recommend this skin as a perfect case to protect the Kindle. Obviously for the price, you can't go wrong.

I'm writing this review after taking 15 minutes to try applying the clear screen protector. It took a few tries to figure out how to get it on without air bubbles or fuzzies trapped underneath. I found if I wiped the Kindle with a rubbing alcohol lens cloth and then wiped with the soft yellow cloth provided, blow air lightly across it, it got the screen cleanest. The plastic sheet really fits the screen perfectly, so you better line it up perfectly or if an edge overlaps outside the screen area, an air bubble will be created in the margin that will not go away. With this protective screen, air bubbles look like oil spots on real paper - somewhat annoying while reading. I wasted two of the five sheets trying to apply it - it says they are washable and reusable, but with the stickiness, I don't know how to get a sheet dry after washing without it having fuzzies or water spots. I think the little cover makes the screen glare a little bit more than usual. But if you are rough with items or will be sharing this with rough people, I think the little plastic cover could be indispensable.

The black cover to go over the Kindle slips on easily - it is very stretchy. I believe if it would be over-stretched, it would become saggy or maybe torn, so I think the point is to put it on and not mess with it too much. It really is a perfect fit as far as lining up with everything on the Kindle. It is soft to the touch and smooth, the 'next' and 'previous' buttons are just as easy to push, and it does seem to like to attract lint a little.

Overall, I would say that for the price, this is a great protective investment.

It fits perfectly and looks nice. However, when I removed the thin cardboard that was in it, the edges of the cardboard cut the silicon. That's my fault, of course. Should have thought of that. Anyway, it's what it's supposed to be. Just be careful when you remove the filler. ;-) - Kindle 3 Case - Kindle Covers - Kindle Accessory - Case'

Academic Planner - daily planner, academic planner

As a college student with a lot of biology and chemistry and calculus classes, this organizer is perfect. There's plenty of space to write down all of my assignments, while not taking up too much space in my loaded backpack. And it comes at a fantastic price too. Really pleased. House of Doolittle Academic Weekly Planner, 13 Months August 2011 to August 2012, Black Assignment Book for Students, 5 x 8 Inch, Recycled, Made in the USA (HOD27502)

I bought this planner for use in college, and it is just the right size for writing down important events. It includes some nice quotes and a few other useful sheets. Overall, the best characteristic of this planner is the faux leather binding which seems to provide excellent protection. - Daily Planner - Day Planner - Academic Planner - Planner'

Automotive Accessories - car stereo, car audio

Most of the features of this unit are thoughtful and work well. When the face is closed, you have access to all the unit controls. Additionally, the front face swings open to present an iPod dock and a second set of controls that handle most of the unit's functions. The iPod dock is nice and sturdy; my iPod Classic fits in it better than it does inside a Bose Sounddock. It has an aux input and programmable subwoofer/rear output, as well as a spare preamp output.

The EQ settings are not as detailed as I would like, but they aren't bad. There's bass and treble settings, no mid. There is also no built-in crossover, which I would prefer to see in any head unit with a dedicated subwoofer out, but again, for the price, this is to be expected.

The big fault, however, is in the programming.

One of the nice touches on this device is that you can set the EQ separately for each input - radio, aux, iPod, or bluetooth. However, unless an iPod is set in the dock, the iPod mode does not appear in the audio settings menu, so you can't adjust the EQ for it that way. And the kicker? When an iPod IS docked, there is no way to access the audio settings menu; the only button for that is on the front panel, which does not function when the faceplate is open to allow an iPod to dock. Effectively, it is impossible to adjust the EQ for the iPod, with the factory radio.

I've figured out one workaround; if you purchase a dock-extender cable, you can plug in an iPod, and then close the front panel. Alternatively, you can set your iPod into the dock, then plug the aux cable into it and basically use it in aux mode - you'll have the ability to change the EQ, and your iPod will stay charged, however you won't be able to use the remote to control the iPod.

EDIT Added 2/20/11: As many commenters have now pointed out, you can adjust the EQ using the remote control when the iPod is docked. Press the Audio Settings button on the remote to cycle through each EQ setting, and use the volume buttons to adjust that setting up and down. I still consider this a crappy solution to a problem that should have been caught in testing, but I also consider it way too minor for me to buy a different head unit. I still like this one quite a lot, more than a year after first installing it. Dual XML8100 AM/FM Mechless Receiver with iPod Dock, BT Ready, SWI, iPlug, Remote (Black)

a really great product. it fit perfectly in the slot converter i had to buy. really easy to install. you have to know how to splice wires and crimp or tape them together though. overall its a great radio. i hardly use it closed. it makes some squealing noises with my iphone. i'm not sure if thats just because of the iphone itself. when i have music playing, i cant hear it though. i hardly use the remote, but its a good accessory to have. Dual is supposed to release an iphone/ ipod touch app soon to work with it even better. i wish the bluetooth module came with it but for the low price of the radio, it wasn't that big of a deal to order the 50 dollar module separately. i suggest this radio to anybody with an ipod, it really works out well.

another problem with the iphone is that with the bluetooth connected to it it defaults to the a2dp streaming when it connects so you either have to wait for it to connect before you put the iphone in the dock, or switch the audio back to the dock when it connects. not that big of a deal.

Was looking into getting a new car stereo for my wifes van, 1993 Aerostar. Been shopping around.

She wanted one with an Ipod dock. Found this here on Amazon. Noticed that Walmart also sells

same one for a few cents more then Amazon. Walmart had it on Clearance for $50.00 new.

Bought it.

Stereo was very simple and use of a wiring harness made it that much simpler.

Sound is great out of the factory 17 year old speakers. Very simple controls.

Ipod dock couldn't be easier. Just slip in and it goes to playing. Full

controls of Ipod from the stereo. Sound is great.

Remote is small. Buttons hard to read. Not to be used when driving. More

for your rear passengers to use when they connect their Ipod or other MP3

device to it.

Would recommond this to anyone. Thinking about getting one for my truck.

NO CD PLAYER. BUT, with an Ipod you really don't need one.

I bought this to replace my stock stereo in my 2004 Rav4. I was using just a tape converter to listen to my ipod (horrible sound quality), since i never buy cds any more i thought this stereo was a cool idea. I was worried about the ipod falling off around turns but it is held pretty steady. Also the sound sound quality is leaps and bounds better. It sounds clearer than fm transmitter, aux cable, and the tape/aux converter.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who uses their ipod as the only music source like me.

My only complaint so far is that you can't use the stereo's equalizer settings when the ipod is plugged in because the screen and controls are down. I sometimes feel like pumping the bass when a rap song comes on the ipod but i can't :(

I love this head unit! The sound quality is great and it is so nice to not have extra cords cluttering up my car, eg charging and aux in. My only complaint is that the display is not too bright and can be hard to see at certain angles during the daytime. Overall it's a great radio!!!Dual XML8100 AM/FM Mechless Receiver with iPod Dock, BT Ready, SWI, iPlug, Remote (Black)

A. Does not fit in dash: dock needs clearance in order to fold out. Unit must stick out over 3/4". Looks awful (metal cage and screws remain visible).

B. Radio reception not hot. I get three stations where factory radio had 20.

C. Ipod-dock sounds beyond poor: constant hiss and white noise audible at all times (except at HIGH volume).

D. Cheap plastic, UI poorly conceived as well (audio controls are literally 'folded away' when using dock!).

I wanted a dock minus the cable etc. (great concept here) but unfortunately it looks and sound like......a cheap head unit!

Maybe the new double DIN unit will work better, this one gets 2 stars for A+ concept, but unfortunately it will only

make sense in a 800 dollar junker...My DUAL 8100 will soon go the way of the DODO bird... - Automotive Accessories - Ipod Dock - Car Audio - Car Stereo'

Highly Recommended - samsung, monitor

I recently purchased the Samsung B2230 to replace an old 19 inch Samsung monitor. I thought the older monitor looked great but this one is fantastic. The colors are more vibrant and it is a 16:9 aspect ratio compared to the older 16:10. This means that most widescreen movies no longer have the black bars on the top and bottom.

The controls are touch sensitive and took a while for me to get used to but are easy to get used to. The older model I had to reach underneath to hit the buttons and for the B2230 I have to use my finger on the labeled menu itself right below the Samsung logo. The monitor is gorgeous with its all black design with 1 blue light to show that its on. The monitor can reach full 1080p with a 1920 x 1080 native resolution. It does lack a HDMI input and only has a DVI and VGA input but for $170.00 this 21.5" monitor is a steal I am very happy with this purchase. Samsung B2230 22-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor - Glossy Black

I bought this for my 80yo father as a gift - replacing his tiny 15" monitor. It was a radical difference and he is very thankful for the extra room. He really likes the ability to have 2 windows open side-by-side with the ability to see them both at the same time. The picture is very crisp and clear, and the setup was a snap. I have an Acer in the same size, and the Samsung actually seemed a little sharper. Definitely recommend!

This is my third Samsung PC LCD, owning both a 22" 1680x1050 226BW for over three years and a 25.5" 1920x1200 T260 for a year (had a bad 22" and got it replaced - the 226BW reviewed here January 19, 2008). Anyway, I bought the B2230 for a 3-LCD gaming rig setup. If it could be done over, I'd have bought another monitor, specifically the P2250, which I'll buy for the 3rd LCD to complete the setup.

First, the pixel pitch on this monitor is about the same as the 22" and 25.5" (.28xxx mm - the P2250 has .24xxx pixel density - more pixel density = better display quality). I was hoping for a little sharper clarity for a 1920x1080 resolution monitor in this size, especially considering the 25.5" shares nearly the same pixel density over 4" more of screen real estate. The 25.5" is as clear as the 21.5" in website text and the holy grail of display quality for me: cockpit instrument readability in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. There is of course a sharpness option on the menu, but it just doesn't help much for what I was expecting.

With that said, it's still an okay monitor for the average user. It's a few pounds lighter than the 22" and runs very cool. The touch menu options and feel are pretty standard for Samsung. People new to Samsung's PC LCDs may find the front bezel touch "buttons" awkward and hard to work with, but it sure beats trying to deal with Samsung's buttons on the side and bottom of my other two monitors blindly. Similarly, the gloss bezel may be a put-off to some and definitely is a dust and fingerprint magnet. But I like the gloss - it appears to be the norm these days from manufacturers and matches everything else in the house TV/monitor wise. No red "touch of color" here to match the gorgeous T260, but it still looks good on the desk. The mount does allow for tilt, but as so typical in this price range, no height adjustment.

Finally, the brightness of this monitor needs to be toned way down out of the box, to less than 60%. You will be spending some time calibrating this to your liking. All in all for those who want a run-of-the-mill 21.5" LCD that's 1080p capable, this is an acceptable monitor, but as mentioned, not recommended for those who appreciate higher pixel density output. Think of this LCD as the Enterprise rental Buick of 1080p Samsung monitors: it serves the purpose and grandpa thinks it's awesome, but not something to brag about to friends.

This monitor looks great, and is a nice size, the color is pretty good, not great. The set-up was easy, so that's a definite plus. On the downside, it creates more heat than I bargained for. My office is a decent size and if it's on for a while (several hours) the room actually gets warmer. So, I make sure to turn the monitor off if I'm leaving the room for a while. The other downside is that I get vertical shadow lines which run all the way through the screen whenever there is a pop-up box on my screen. Initially I thought it was just associated with my web browser, but then it occurred while I was using the control panel too. That's a bit disappointing, but I can live with it.

Overall, I like the monitor, it was a great price for the size and the two issues are relatively small ones.

Pros: Beautiful monitor. The exterior appearance is among the more attractive of Samsung's variants (see hideous 2233sw). Amazing picture. Deeper colors and detail than my 40" Samsung 120hz 1080p LCD TV (LN40A650). No blur or artifacts here.

Cons: Horrible touch-sensitive buttons! You can never see them, whether day or night. Also, the high gloss leads to glare from my overhead room lights, despite their low output. This thing will reflect your blackberry more than you can probably stand. Finally, the firmware for the picture adjustment is terribly designed, with non-intuitive controls and convoluted submenus. I feel the need to pull out the instruction manual every time i want to make the screen a bit brighter, and lets just say I am not the type to even keep instruction manuals after the first hour of ownership.

Overall, this screen is in line with what I have come to expect from Samsung, regardless of size - a dazzling image that cannot be duplicated, along with awful ergonomics seemingly designed for the 12-year-old, all-things-spaceage loving kid in all of us.

Based on comments in other reviews I gather that with some computers this monitor works great right out of the box. I did not have that experience. I have a 3-year-old computer (XP) with an NVIDIA graphics card. Not brand new, but not so antique that setup should be this difficult.

THE LOW POINT

I have never in my LIFE had so much trouble installing a monitor! Usually you just plug it in, connect the RGB cable and maybe fiddle with the buttons on the front to center the picture perfectly. This one took over two hours of constant frustration. It came right on when I connected it, but it looked like crap. The picture was washed out and text was almost too blurry to read. The setup instructions were useless and the menu buttons unusually difficult to use. Worst of all, the menu was full of grayed out items, cutesy entries with "Magic" in the title, and Auto settings at multiple menu levels with little indication what they would do. The install disk supposedly had the driver on it, but the driver wouldn't install. If the promised user manual was on the disk I couldn't find it. I downloaded the driver from the Samsung site, installed, rebooted. The driver did install this time, but no improvement in the picture.

I downloaded a little desktop widget called "Magic Tune Premium." (Are you tired of the "Magic" terminology yet? You will be.) Magic Tune does the same thing as the buttons on the monitor, but is way easier to use. But many of the menu items are "Not usable," including the all-important brightness setting! Instead, I had to make a choice from a menu labeled "Magic Angle" with settings like "Lean Back Mode 1" and "Standing Mode." I went with Standing Mode - just about the brightness and contrast level I like. But a ridiculous designation, since the monitor is set at a fixed downward angle that makes it impossible to view from standing position. But no matter - I was planning to sit down when I used it.

But the fuzzy text was intolerable. I tried setting after setting with no improvement. There's an Auto button on the monitor, but all it did was center the picture (something that could NOT be done using the position controls, incidentally!) Finally, hidden on a tab called "Option," I found something called MagicWizard. Bingo! I launched that and the screen went crazy for a while - shrinking and expanding, going black and popping back on, and when it was done the picture was PERFECT. So... if the firmware had the capability to do that, why didn't the Auto button on the monitor just take care of it in the first place??!! Incidentally, the settings that MagicWizard found for me are: Sharpness=60, Image Setup/Fine=32, Coarse=50. What are the odds of stumbling on that exact combination with manual tweaking?

THE HIGH POINT

Wow! The picture is now perfect! I liked my old Viewsonic, but this is slightly better. Text is the sharpest I have ever seen on a monitor, and my photos look wonderful. I just want to sit and stare at the screen.

RECOMMENDED? No. The great picture is not worth the agony of setup. Also...

This is a 21.5" monitor, not 22" as it is labeled online. It says 21.5" right on the box! Not a huge difference, but unnecessarily deceptive. Does not build confidence in the manufacturer.

There is no question that this stand is not adjustable. It's just two rather flimsy pieces of plastic that snaplock together - there is no hinge. And, as others have commented, the fixed position is at a distinct downward angle. From comments in some of the other reviews I wonder if there are two different models being sold under the same model name, one with an adjustable base and one without. - Samsung - Widescreen - Computer Monitor - Monitor'

Backpack Rod

I've had one of Daiwa's pack rods for many years. At that time it came in a rectangular carrying case and the guides were thread wrapped - rather than taped. As a friend has had one with the "T" shaped case for 25 years, it must be somewhat older than that. Because it can be broken down to such a small size - it is an excellent rod for canoe portage fishing trips and for hiking in through the brush to the best trout streams. I have caught everything from 12 pound northern pike to brook trout and pan fish with this rod. In recent years my wife has purchased one as well. While it will never have the natural feel of a one piece rod, it does surprisingly well for coming in five pieces. My wife says it is my lucky rod, and after many years of "borrowing" it from me - I bought her one of her own. She loves to fish for bronze-backs and has already put fillets in the frying pan numerous times. Daiwa Mini System Minispin Ultralight Spinning Reel and Rod Combo in Hard Carry Case

I have had one of these for over thirty years. I bought this one for my son. The MiniSpin is still an excellent way to take a high quality fishing combo wherever you go. It is not the rig for chasing huge fish, but I have caught pike on mine, and my son caught a four pound bass with his the first weekend he used it. This is a serious light spinning outfit. I recommend getting a second spool and filling one spool with four pound line and one with six. The four pound line works great with this rod and reel for things like crappies and smallmouth bass. Much more fun than just hauling them out of the water with a stiff rod and ten or twelve pound line. Six pound gives better results where there are weeds or bottom obstructions - you don't lose so much terminal tackle. The plastic latches on the case will wear with time, so I use a large elastic band to hold them closed. I highly recommend this package.

this is a very good and sturdy fishing pole i love and i use it all the time reccomend it to all. It is easy to cast and put togeter and do not lisen to the 2 star guy he did not have his reel on tight enough.

I've received my rod on time. well few days after I got it, I went to fish for some panfish, and what I can say about the reel is that works very good even for casting I've tried some spoons and it worth, and about the rod, it is very flexible I caught 2 largemouth bass of about 6 pounds ea. it bended like if will break down, but finally nothing bad happened,I totaly recomend this kit,it came with out line but is good after all.

Start of all, the 'packaging' is very awkward. Its undie-shape doesn't really fit into medium backpack. Secondly, the rod is just a little bit off balance, tiny little bit.

But what-the-hack, given its light weight, smart design, and 'appears-to-be'(yet to be testified) quality build, I have already recommended the kit to all my friends.

It's a must-have kit when you come and visit the land down-under, because there's fish everywhere!!

I recently received the Daiwa mini spin travel pack, I love its features especially its size and pistol grip handle. I was so excited that i found a combo that I could fit into my hydration backpack. I'm a mountain bike enthusiast and always look for places to go especially where fishing is feasible. The case was broke in three places when it arrived, o.k. I blame USPS for their poor packaging, called distributor and of course its on back order (3weeks) no problem i was still anxious to bike to the river and cast. After a 3hr ride i arrived and set up the pole, seemed well enough and durable. AFTER 3 CASTS THE REEL WENT RIGHT INTO THE RIVER, o.k. I manually retrieved it by pulling the fishing line, disappointed but still liked the pole about 2 more casts and again it happened, i inspected the pole and found that very little effort was needed to pull the reel out. I decided to pack it up and upon breaking it down the last part of the rod broke while disassembling it, dammit. Now I'm upset and hope I just got a defective one, since it's made in china that happens i suppose. It's features are the only reason it got more than 1 star, AND I DIDN'T CATCH ANY FISH!'

Classic Movie Actresses - drug abuse, singer

Gerold Frank has taken a subject of innumerable facets, a larger-than-life personality, and an almost indescribable talent and has put the history of her life to words as no writer before or since has been able to accomplish. Judy Garland, one of the silver screen's most beloved stars, is accurately and honestly conveyed in this biography. Frank's style is unique: when he tells of the tradgedies or failures of the star, he is not incriminating against the subject. Frank's book is one as written by an observer, sometimes voyueristically so. His thorough research bring Garland through in all her glory: as the vaudeville headliner, the little girl on the rise to stardom, the MGM superstar, loving wife and mother, and the sometimes self-destructive woman, taken from this earth too soon by the disease brought on by a lifetime of pills, but most of all, the woman trying to find her place in the world and the love she always craved and needed. Judy Garland is a human being, not a media figure, in this book. Gerold Frank is to be well commended for his excellent portrayal of Judy Garland, and readers will also be delighted or surprised by the informative tidbits along this Yellow Brick Road into the life of the great Judy Garland. Judy

There won't be any point in anyone writing a biography of Judy Garland ever again, because Gerold Frank has outdone them all with "Judy", which is undoubtedly the finest marriage of biographer and subject that I have ever read. Here is Judy Garland, in all her colors and facets, revealed in an outstandingly candid and refreshingly honest story that dispels all the false rumors spread over the years and will be read with surprise, warmth, love, pity but more often joy, as we meet Judy Garland through the pages of "Judy".Born Frances Ethel Gumm, Judy Garland was a vaudeville headliner at ten years old, was a signed player at MGM at thirteen, and achieved immortality at seventeen in "The Wizard of Oz". From there on, the superstar endured a blockbuster-after-blockbuster decade at MGM, surviving on various prescribed medications that she soon came to depend on just to get out of bed in the morning. For the next twenty years of her life, Garland performed in thousands of live concerts, television shows, and engagements. In the midst of all this, Garland was married five times, had three children, and was hailed as one of Hollywood's greatest tragedies at the time of her death. But all that changes here: Frank captures Garland's wry wit, her ability to laugh at the world, her bitterness when she was wronged, to be a "tragic clown", to love passionately, and to exhaust endlessly. Frank captures with a poignant honesty the Garland whose exasperating mood swings, brought on by pills and barbiturates, exhausted those closest to her, but never stopped loving her. You will become a person who tries to keep Judy happy but doesn't know to keep her happy, just keep loving her, through Frank's recreating of events and times in her life. He captures the Judy who loved her children desperately, who loved to be loved, and was sometimes selfish and manipulative, but ultimately, was a warm, funny, glorious treasure, just a beautiful lady with a very mixed-up life. Garland's life was filled with so much emotion, so many ecstatic joys and bitter disappointments, and she vented the emotions in many different ways, depending on her mood and the people around her. Frank also captures the people who knew Judy best, like her father Frank Gumm, her beloved mentor Roger Edens, her dear friend Kay Thompson, her third husband Sid Luft, and her children Liza Minnelli, Lorna Luft and Joey Luft. These were the people to whom Judy meant the most, and they became a part of the whirling maelstrom of love and erratic behaviors, and the harsh realities and unbelievably wonderful times that loving Judy Garland meant. They never stopped loving Judy, or she them, but the inevitable was Garland's lapses of reality, or refusing to believe reality, admonishing it, or laughing at it. They saw all facets of Judy Garland, and they learned to live with her and love her, no matter what.Frank writes convincingly and digs deep into Garland's depths. For the people who say, If only she had been loved more, she would have lived, if they read this book, they will realize just how easy it was to fall in love with Judy, but they will also find out exactly how exasperating and horribly difficult it was sometimes to hold Judy up. But again, this book is not tragedy: Even the tragedy and gossip hunters will be enthralled with the Garland who could love and laugh as no one could, and celebrated here is also the love and admiration that so many different people held for her. The contents of the book are also overwhelming in their scope: the author held countless interviews with many individuals closest to Garland, includes hundreds of little-known details, and also had access to audio tapes that Garland used to write her never-finished autobiography. These reveal Garland most tellingly, and most poignantly. For those who want to know all about Judy Garland, this book does even better: after reading it, the reader feels that they actually knew Judy Garland, and loved her. It is an extraordinary book, a spectacular book. Any reader can take delight, Garland fan or not, in "Judy", the capital biography that the world's greatest entertainer has long deserved.

This is a very well written book. There is a lot of interesting and detailed information that I have not heard about before. This book sets the facts straight through primary sources. Gerold Frank spoke to Judy's children, husbands, friends, fellow cast members, and even to her doctors. He is the only author that Judy's family and friends completely cooperated with. This was very informative; and it is a real page-turner, unlike so many biographies that merely present fact after fact, or promote fictitious legends. This book sorts through all of this. It is, I believe, one of the best biographies yet written about Judy Garland. A definite must have:) - Singer - Classic Movie Actresses - Judy Garland - Drug Abuse'

Please, Disney, stop re-releasing the same movies over and over again! How many times has this Toy Story trilogy been released recently? By my count, at least 3 times in the last 5 years (for the first two, anyway). Outrageous! This is what I want...

I will pay $50 each for every single Disney/Pixar film created so far. I want Blu-Ray 3D, Blu-Ray 2D, DVD, and Digital Copy all in one package. I also want the maximum amount of bonus features available for each film so that it cannot possibly be outdone by any future release of the title. If this warrants multiple Blu-Rays (such as the 2-Disc release of Wall-E, Up, and Toy Story 3, for example), then make sure that happens! I want this to happen for the following films/releases: Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Monster's, Inc., Finding Nemo (RELEASE THIS ONE ALREADY!), The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Cars Toon Mater's Tall Tales, and the Pixar Short Films Collection, Volume 1. I also want future Disney/Pixar movies to be released in a similar fashion.

Here is my problem. I spent a lot of money trying to find all the Disney/Pixar films on Blu-Ray, and some of them have been re-released on Blu-Ray with different covers and everything. So since I am a collector who has to have the newest thing with the most perfect slip covers and what not, I repurchase the movies over and over. Call me stupid; that's legitimate. But many other collectors will agree with me. But you know what really ticks me off? The fact that titles would be released on standard Blu-Ray, only to be outdone by a newer 3D release. It is completely lame, and surely angers those even who are not in this for collecting purposes!

Please do us all a favor and get this out of your system! I will pay top dollar for top notch releases of these movies, and I want to make sure that they do not get released again for at least 5 or so years!

Now, I'm sure those reading this are going to be like, "What does this even have to do with the Toy Story 3D Trilogy set you are supposed to be reviewing?" Well here is my point...I think it is awesome that Disney wants to release the 3 Toy Storys on Blu-Ray 3D. I am rating it at 3 stars to be at a happy medium, because who knows yet whether or not this will totally suck or be completely awesome. But if 3D releases are going to happen to these films, I sure want it to happen for all the others, and then stop! I mean, I thought a 4 Disc ultimate Blu-Ray combo pack was pushing it, but now it has gone up to 5 discs? Just take a minute to think about this...THERE IS ONLY ONE MOVIE, YET YOU ARE PAYING FOR 5 DISCS OF THE SAME THING? Absurd, right? I think so. I remember the good old days when you could just buy a good Disney/Pixar film on 2 Disc DVD for $20 or less, but now we are paying twice that for movies that are now starting to get old. Now, I'll admit, I do like having the options available with the combo packs. But, 5 discs is approaching the ultimate limit. Therefore, Disney should just get it all done and over with. Release all Disney/Pixar films on 4-5 Disc Blu-Ray 3D combo packs and don't re-release for at least 5 years. Thank you. - A Bugs Life - Blu-ray - Blu-ray 3d - Automotive'

Desktop Staplers

This has no portability (which I bought it for) because the spring on the top casing (that you close after putting staples in) is too strong for the latch that holds the casing down. So basically it's always open leaving the staples exposed. If you were to put this in a bag, it would dump staples all over. Has to stay sitting upright and defeats the purpose. BAZIC Mini Standard (26/6) Stapler, 500 Count Staples

I bought this for obviously the convenience of taking on the go, in my case: school. It took a bit longer to get the staples in it than other staplers but that's also obvious since it's mini. Works perfectly well!'

Lightweight - framing, nail pullers

$60 for a cat's paw--that's crazy! I've heard it several times, but this thing saves a noticeable amount of weight in my toolbag, and functions well to boot. The dimpler feature is useful, especially when pulling nails from OSB, and the tool just feels and looks great. I have been using mine daily for months, and the head has yet to show any mushrooming like other cat's paws I've owned.

Spring for the expensive one: sometimes it's worth it. Stiletto TICLW12 ClawBar Titanium Nail Puller

If you carry your toolbelt 6 days a week or just feel like fixing a thing or two once in a while this is a great light weight tool to do it with. Product itself is second to none but be aware, amazon still has some old models without the dimple (like the one in their catalog) it has same part number yet two models. Two minute phone call to stiletto tools and i'm getting a new one shipped same day.

Best nail puller I have used to date. The dimpler option might be a bit overrated, but overall the tool is excellent. The biggest problem, the stiletto is so lightweight, I don't notice when my co-workers try and steal it from my toolbag.

Not a contractor here, just a homeowner and I have no experience with the highly touted Sharp clawbars to compare this tool with. However, I love this titanium nail puller. It's very lightweight. The dimpler feature really works by not only reducing the chance of the wood splitting but also making it easier to grip the nail heads under the formed dimples. I was also surprised at how resilient the titanium is against nail heads. After pounding repeatedly on the dimpler with a hammer and pulling maybe 30 large nails with it, I can see that the titanium claws are clearly hardened and do not get dented or scratched by the nail heads. I have not tried it on headless nails to see how it will grip, but it grips very tightly on all those nails with heads that I tried to pull.

I will never use another Nail Puller other than the Stiletto ClawBar.

I bought this Stiletto Titanium Nail Puller.

I liked it allot and so did my Co-Workers, so I bought seven(7) of them at discount for $77.20 a piece (including shipping!) and sold them to my Co-Workers for the same amount. None of them broke and they work very well, however there are some things you should know or should do.

1) Take some 3/16 thick blaze-orange/yellow/green, cord/rope, and thread the cord through the holes of the nail puller. Starting at the far end and working up to the "Stiletto" logo, tie off, and fill the last two holes (that have the knots you just tied) with high-temp glue-gun glue to hold it in place. This is so if you drop it on the snow, dirt, sand, backfill, water, mud, you will see it, and will not loose it, also helps the grip wen its raining. This will also help you see you're Stiletto Nail puller from far away wen a co-worker snags it and is up on the roof with it, and you can give him a ear full.

If they take it again, introduce the mans arm to the chop saw...

2) Switch to a Titanium framing hammer, One I like is

Vaughan 07165 16-Ounce Dalluge Titanium Hammer, 19-Inch Curved Hickory Handle

Use-ing a Titanium hammer will be allot nicer to the Titanium Nail puller, I found that hitting it with a steel headed hammer dents it a bit more.

Also, use-ing a smooth face Titanium hammer is even better against this Nail puller than a milled one.

3) All Nail puller claws can be dented or chiped, and a Titanium one is no exception. Take the time to line up the claws so they go around the nail, and not into the nail head or shaft. Take the time to do this and it will last a long time. Never attempt to pull out Tico Nails(joist hanger nails) that are in and against a hanger plate, this will dent the Stiletto Nail puller claws quicker than you can swear/curse.

Keep a Bear Claw(call it the loner) laying around on the deck near the blueprints table just in case you need to do this.

Here is a big one good for any job:

Vaughan & Bushnell BC13 13-Inch Bear Claw Nail Puller

Dimpler: This works best for taking out Hand Nails. Nail-Gun Nails are usually launched in to deeply for the Dimpler to be effective. If you can, adjust the PSI on the compressor so the nails aren't "lanced through to the 4th dimension".

The Dimpler does not work on OSB very well at all, don't even try.

Be careful not to strike the Dimpler nipple with the hammer wen sinking the claws in to the wood, its possible to knock a chunk off the Dimpler nipple (you have to hit it very hard, but its happened once that I know of).

Remember:

DO-NOT-EVER lone out you're Stiletto ClawBar!

If some guy asks for it just say out loud,

"Why buy it? wen you can borrow it! -hah!" and laugh.

If they ask again, offer to sell it to them, if they refuse point to the 13 inch Bear Claw lying on the blue print table.

Or you can buy the worst Nail Puller ever made for use as "The Loner" this thing will teach em to put there nails in straight the first time.

Dead On EX12 12-5/8-Inch Exhumer Nail Puller/Saw Wrench/Nail Pic/ Bottle Opener

As nail pullers go, this one is first rate for just about anyone but a professional framer. It is extremely lightweight (obviously since it is titanium), but it is also well-designed with two pulling surfaces and excellent angles for generating leverage. It also has a design element represented by the hole near the larger head that allows you to access nail heads that are flush with the wood. This is a big plus and works well. If I were a professional framer, I would like the light weight and ease of use, but might be overly careful of it due to its expense. As a weapon for the Zombie Apocalypse, it would be nice as a backup piece, since you wouldn't get so tired from swinging it. I would, however, want it a few inches longer. - Nail Pullers - Framing - Lightweight - Titanium'

Usb Wireless Adapter - belkin, wi-fi

When I received the Belkin Wireless N+ Router, I set it up it right in front of a window in my house. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CEYYFK/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title) Setup was super easy and I turned on 802.11b/g/n to all transmit/receive at the same time. I also purchased a Belkin Wireless N+ 802.11n USB Adapter (Black) (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CF2TYC/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title) and installed it in my brand new Dell laptop. The combination worked flawlessly, setup was super easy, and the security was a snap to set up.

I received at least four lights all over our one story house including 80' away through a number of walls. My new laptop's built-in N-card/antenna did not work nearly as well as the Belkin N+ adapter.

I took the laptop and the Belkin N+ Adapter for a walk while keeping the window and router in my line of sight. At approximately 325' from the router, I still had full signal strength! I finally lost the signal about 380' feet from the router.

I also tried the Belkin adapter with a 7-year old, 512Mb ram HP laptop and got similar results - full signal at 325'. Belkin F5D8055 Wireless N+300Mbps USB Adapter (Black)

F5D8055 Very easy to install. Gets 270 Mbps through three walls (and around corner) at 60 feet. WORD of CAUTION: if you have Windows 7 do not use the disc to load driver. Download from Belkin Support to match V1 or V2. (it's on the adapter) I download it and was back online in less than 1 min.

Has worked fine. The router is on the far side of the house upstairs, approximately say 20-30 feet away through 1 bathroom, 1 closet and the floor to the downstairs where the laptop is. Have not used the stand yet, just have it plugged directly into the USB port on the laptop.

I purchased two of these wireless network adapters for two different Dell Precision 390 systems. They both are running MS-Windows XP Pro x64 (64-bit). According to the sales literature, technical support documentation, and technical support personnel, Belkin supports MS-Windows XP Pro x64 for this adapter. Unfortunately, the support did not come on the CD (nor did support for over half of the versions of Windows Belkin says it supports). Logging into Belkin technical support site, I found the drivers and software for the adapter, downloaded it, and successfully installed it (according to the application and its logs).

Unfortunately (second one, are unfortunately like strikes?), after rebooting the network adapter still didn't have drivers. The Windows Hardware Wizard popped up and wanted to find the drivers, which on the recommended automatic it couldn't find them.

I contacted Belkin chat support (POSITIVE thing they are 24x7 for networking). Unfortunately (ah, third one, does this mean Belkin is out?), all they could do is parrot what the documentation says. Download and install this program and everything will work. Ah, it didn't work? Surprise, you're disconnected. Connect back up via Chat and disconnect again. Third chat, third reference number, and disconnect.

Fourth person says he'll need to send this to the next level. (What does Belkin require to realize a problem really exists?) I'm told to expect a call in 24 hours. 27 hours later, still no call. I contact Belkin again and they say keep waiting.

46 hours pass from the fourth person and I get a phone call. I take the person through everything. I tried this on two different MS-Windows XP Pro x64 systems. I successfully installed the adapters (both of them) on a friend's Windows XP Pro x32 laptop, but that doesn't help me. I also tell him that after looking through the download program, I can say for sure, 100%, the MS-Windows XP Pro x64 drivers are MISSING!! They are not there, never have been there, and I want my drivers.

He says he will have to get back to me.

This is where I am at this time. All Belkin will say is it works, they keep asking me to install the drivers, their methods keep failing because the files do not exist, and they keep telling me to install the drivers. HOW? They won't tell me how to install the drivers without the necessary files!

UPDATE: It is the 1st of March 2011 and still Belkin is saying they support MS-Windows XP (all versions, I have Pro) 64-bit, but have yet to provide the drivers. I feel ripped off and robbed, as I'm stuck with products that don't work and are hence worthless!

I picked Belkin USB N Adapter at a great price during an Amazon lightening deal. I'd been looking for an inexpensive N USB Adapter for awhile but most of the ones I found were from brands I never heard of. Luckily I found this one from a reputable company like Belkin. I replaced an old USB B adapter and I get full bars now in the connection manager in Windows 7. My wireless connections are also more stable.

I have tried 5 different wireless adapters on my last two computers including two Belkins (my daughter broke the first one) and Belkin is by far the fastest. I bought this for use on my Vista machine, it installed easily and worked great until the computer itself died a month later. I bought a new computer with Windows 7, and discovered that the software that came with this adapter didn't work with Windows 7. I was able to download a Windows 7 driver and now we are back to very fast wireless action! This works way better (faster) than the Medialink and Netgear adapters I tried before this one.

Belkin Wireless N+ USB adapter is easy to install and works. I got both adapters to work in 10 minutes and there were no further adjustments needed. My kids need the Internet to work at all hours and I did not want to run network cables to the second story. I really enjoy the 6' cable that comes connected to the USB stand so I can place the adapter closer to my AT&T U-Verse unit. Signal strength is really strong and no dropped connections when going to MySpace type sites. There are less expensive USB adapters units out there but they do not deliver the quality that this has. This is money well spent. - Wi-fi - Usb Wireless Adapter - Belkin - Usb Adapter'
