Panasonic Camera - digital camera, panasonic
This camera is overall pretty good and has a competitive MSRP. However, be sure to consider the older but higher-end Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8. When Panasonic came out with the new FP1 and FP3 (the touchscreen version of the FP1), I was hoping they would be the same as the well-reviewed FP8 but with an improved look and a lens cover. Well, I was slightly disappointed.
Let's forget the gimmicky touchscreen FP3 and compare the FP1 to the FP8. The FP1 is $40 cheaper than the FP8 regarding market price (as of when I wrote this review) but it has:
-0.6x less zoom (4.0x rather than 4.6x)
-Mega OIS rather than Power OIS (Panasonic claims Power is 2x better, maybe dubious)
-No wide-angle lens (35mm rather than 28mm)
-80 shots less per battery charge (300 rather than 380)
-No zoom during video recording
Personally, that last drawback breaks the deal for me as I need the best video recording experience possible (and I've found that the FP8 has THE best 720p quality in point-and-shoot cameras under $200). But it's up to you on whether those drawbacks are worth the $40 savings. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP1 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Black)
I bought this camera solely on Consumer Reports ratings. I wanted a slim camera to carry in my pocket at parties, events, etc. with friends. I am not doing any "professional" photos, just fun pics. This camera is AWESOME!!! It is about $100 cheaper than comparable Nikon and Sony cameras, it does great with night pics, some movement, etc. I post all my party pics on FB and everyone talks about how good they turned out. I LOVE this camera!! Can't be beat for the price! Consumer Reports knows what they were talking about. :)
This is a great little camera to carry around for capturing images that come up while driving along or visiting somewhere. I have a Nikon SLR that I use for planned photographs, but this is a great camera to carry around for picture opportunities that pop up unexpectedly. It is small and very easy to use, and it has a rechargable battery that seems to have a very long cycle between charges. It uses a SDHC card that holds more pictures than you are likely to take before you download them, and the image quality is very good.
Do you wonder why the FP1 price has dropped to $79 from about $109 in the past 3 weeks ? (What was it a couple of months ago, about $169 !! ) I think I know why. I tried two different ones, and both have terrible glare on the lens and the glare has the same effect as if you were in a smoke-filled room !! This is true indoors, worse of course outdoors, and even is very visible in its videos. Its pictures look as though they need a polarizing filter...And if that weren't enough, the low-light ability w/o flash is just pitiful. So very disappointing compared to what I expected from Panasonic. Ok for $79, but it never should have started any higher.
All its pretty bells and whistles and durable body cant help.
I have a Panasonic DMC TZ3. It's a bulkier model but gets a 60x zoom, quite large for still a non-DSLR pocket camera. I liked the Lumix line by Panasonic. After playing with many ultra compact models in the store (Samsung TL205 with dual view and Samsung TL105), I decided this was the way to go! I am happy thus far. Please, let me say I am no expert, but I have had 5-6 digital cameras and can compare.
The good:
zooms up to 33.8x, which is HUGE for a camera this size (the optical zoom is internal! takes up no space but quite effective)
lots of scenes and modes to choose from
super small size (0.7" wide), smaller than my blackberry phone!
lightweight
sliding the cover down is an easy and quick power on, makes catching the 'right' moment easier when you don't have a long start up
very quick when using a SDXC card, class 4 or the higher the better
selects and determines the best scene and shot for you
speaker for playback of films is actually quite good
The Bad:
menu and scene selection is not as easy to go through as other models, needs a clicker or round changer on the unit itself (like choosing to film a movie, you must go through menu rather than hitting a button)
quite grainy and noisy in some modes, almost unusable. just have to find right ones
The Indifferent:
the camera colors are a little funky, choose wisely
when pressing buttons, you can notice a slightly 'cheaper' feel than others (the sound, the feel, etc.)
Overall it's a good, solid camera. I dont know if I would use it as my only camera because I personally like a nice, big zoom, but definitely a nice addition to the collection. Definitely great for beginners, people who take pics with friends, and casual shooting. It's no DSLR, but a good, daily pocket camera.
We used this camera on a recent trip to San Francisco and it worked great. The pictures were in focus, the color was good and we were very satisfied with its performance. Never had a problem with the battery, just charged it up each night even though it was far from being depleted. The controls are easy to use and intuitive if you've used a digital camera before. It's small, about the size of a deck of cards, so it fit in my shirt pocket or my wife's tiny purse without any problems and feels solid so you can take it with you everywhere.
If your a professional photographer, you might want something better, but if you just want pictures of your vacation and the family for pictures or screen savers, this camera is hard to beat and it's a lot easier to haul around than the big "professional" cameras.
My wife bought this camera through Amazon for Christmas for me.I needed a camera that was small enough to carry in my pocket and easy to use in the woods. After spending hours reading reviews and researching I determined this was the one I wanted.I have only taken a couple of pictures and one video with it just to try it out. The pics were in dim lit areas so I used the intellashot feature on the camera and all I can say is wow! My very exspensive Sony snapshot camera doesn't take pics as crisp and clear as this little camera does and for less than $80 bucks. I can't wait to take it out in the woods with me when the weather gets warmer and it will be with us on our next vacation. For taking snapshots and for the money this little camera can't be beat in my opinion. - Panasonic - Photography - Digital Camera - Point And Shoot'

3 Handle Shower Faucet
I ordered this set because I was remodeling my bathroom. For the price and the finish, I felt it was perfect. When I received it, I was so excited but soon realized that it dod not fit my Price Pfister fittings. I called the company the next day and tried to see if there was anyway to adapt the fixtures to my fittings without tearing out my wall and replacing it with the fittings that were sent with the set. There wasn't. I spoke with Mark and returned the set for a full refund. I wanted to write this review because the product is well worth the money. It comes with two other sets of decorative repalcements for the handles (a crystal set and a porcelain set). Mark was very helpful, nice and professional. I would order form H.I.S. again, I would just call before ordering to inquire if their fixture matched before ordering. Premier 120187 Sanibel Three-Handle Tub & Shower Faucet, Brushed Nickel
We are generally happy with this faucet. It looks very nice installed and is easy to clean. I give 4 stars for two reasons (which are more personal preference issues): 1) The two water control handles seem a bit loose or jiggly and won't tighten any more. I'd like it if they attached more firmly (not sure if this is a design issue or a flaw in our particular item). 2) I don't like how the water flows out of the bath spout when the water is on high (again, this is totally personal preference, but is a result of the spout design). Overall, this is the best 3 handle faucet I could find as far as aesthetics and price. I do recommend it!
We received the order more quickly than we expected. The fixtures look nice and are of good quality. Our plumber says they are as good as some of the better known brands. We would use this vendor again.
This is an attractive faucet set, which goes very well with our other brushed nickel bathroom fixtures. It was as advertised; and it arrived when promised. We are very pleased with this set; and we would order it again.
One minor point keeps this rating from being a five. The faucet stems for this set, like so many others, are partly plastic. That makes them have a little play in their movement. Don't like that; but my plumber says "Get used to it!"
Good set; good value!

This is a very difficult item to locate. I was quite pleased at the quality, price, and delivery time. I use these for my autograph album pages. I create an 8.5" x 5.5" album page with a photo of the individual, a little information about the subject and the signed item. I store them in 8.5" x 5.5" 3-ring binders this protector is perfect for my use. C-Line Clear Top-Loading Heavyweight Poly 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Inch Sheet Protectors 50 Count (62058)
I have been looking for these every where, when I seen them on amazon I wasn't sure they were the correct size . When I recieved them - they were perfect ! I plan on ordering more soon. I have sent the link to several people thatI know who have had a hard time finding them. thanks
The page protectors are just right for the 5x7 format used in teaching. They are ideal for use as a divider for each lesson without having to create "tabs" that can be time consuming and cumbersome. Excellent!

Nail Trimmer - pet grooming tool, dogs
Fabulous little tool! Very easy to use on my dog without scaring him. The motor is quiet on the low speed, and a bit louder on fast speed. I start out slow, then switch to high speed when he relaxes a bit, back to slow if he gets antsy. Mind you, restlessness is a pretty good sign you have gone as far down on the nail as is reasonable to go. My dog's nails are black, so it is very easy to trim too far, even with this tool. So trim a bit, check the tip of the nail, trim a bit more if necessary. Just don't get crazy and start grinding away without checking your progress, because, like traditional clippers, it is indeed possible to "quick" your pet (make him bleed) by nicking the tip of the nail blood vessel - I haven't done it yet, but I did come close once, so I know it is possible. This is true even with use of the nail guard. So, if you just go slow and use care, this tool is ingenious. I emphasize, use care -- if you over-trim (quick) your dog or cat, you may as well throw this tool away, because once they start to fear any tool, it is next to impossible to get them to let you use it on them. On the other hand, if you really want proper short nails, remember that the vein naturally recedes with a shortened nail, and grows longer with an untrimmed nail. So just trim a bit each week, and that quick will start to recede, and you will then be able to get the nail shorter. Whatever you do, do not expect to be able to transform 1-inch nails back to Westminster show length with a single trim, with this or any tool. Like anything, just use some common sense. Oster 78129-600 Gentle Paws Cordless Nail Trimmer
I became familiar with the Oster brand when I had a Persian cat and used their grooming tools on him for years. (Actually, even before that, my grandparents used their grooming tools on their Miniature Schnauzer... so we're talking more than 17 years ago.)
Recently we adopted a small older dog - our first. I bought a regular nail trimmer, and even despite my experiences with cutting animal nails for 20+ years, I still managed to cut the quick of her nails and make her bleed. So, to help both of us, I looked into electric/grinding pet nail trimmers. Of course, I had seen the more "commercialized" pet nail trimmer advertised on TV and in my local pet store, but wavered a bit about how reliable it might be. Based on my past experiences with Oster, I rationalized that I'd rather spend my $20+ on their product than with the more "commercialized" manufacturer.
Needless to say, I'm REALLY glad I made this investment. Even at first look, the nail trimmer is durable and is absent of flimsy parts. Aside from the main coarse grinder, there are two separate grinder (for lack of a better term) "add-ons" that you can attach for a medium and fine grind. Additionally, it comes with a 1-year warranty.
My mom, who has 3 mastiffs, uses a regular $60+ dremel for her dog's nails. Essentially this Oster nail trimmer is a dremmel with a nail guard that has holes to accommodate 4 nail sizes (very small, small, medium, large). You can choose to use the nail guard or not, since it twists on and off. I feel confident using it - I can position my dog in my lap, pull back the fur on her paws, AND grind her nails all at the same time. And, unlike my mom, I can use it when she's awake (not sleepy), since now I'm not worried about her moving her paw too much.
I would recommend this product to all of my dog-owning friends.
Nail trimming is tough. My large breed dog seems to need her nails trimmed more than 1/month. I was going to the Vet Tech & it was time consuming. This allows me to trim whenever & it is safe for me & my pet.
Product Review:
Unit is sturdy
Motor is fast so it takes less time to grind
Bands are durable
Safety Guard is nice in case you get too close to the Quick
This Oster Trimmer is great. Buy one and give your dog a break from over cutting their nails. At first, they need to get used to the buzzing sound but our dog is doing better and better with that. Buzzes off just the right amount of nail with no painful problems for the dog. Do it often and cut off just the easy amount. Quite clever--and we will do anything for our pups. I think VETS should get them for their offices because they tend to over cut and cause bleeding.
Great nail trimmer for dogs/cats. I have a German Shepherd/Lab mix. My dog fears going to the vet's office and getting his nails clipped! They have trimmed his nails too low three times now so they started bleeding! It has taken four people pinning him down plus a muzzle to be able to clip his nails. I read the reviews on Amazon for this product and decided to give this nail trimmer a try. Completely satisfied customer! Decent price for nice product. Would recommend this model. My dog barely squirmed and it didn't seem to bother him at all. He got used to the noise quick.
I got my cat used to the sound by giving the command, "Nails," before turning it on, then treating her, then turning it off. Do this at odd intervals. When they get used to the sound, lower the product toward their nails slowly before treating. Do not use it yet. Do this a couple of times and they are pretty good about letting you file. :D
We have four female dogs and all of them profoundly dislike having their nails filed or cut. One of them had been refusing to have her nails trimmed or cut for too long and her nails were getting really nasty. We were getting to the point that we were beginning to lose all hope that she would ever let us do something to her nails. When the Gentle Paws arrived, I started showing it to all four of them and trying to convince them that they would also love it. One of the dogs is a pure-bred Samoyed-- the kick-back girl-- and she was the first one to approach and look at the tool. She allowed me to work on one of her nails and she was immediately rewarded with a slice of ham. The other three obviously followed, and all but one allowed me to work on their nails for a little while, only one hour after the Gentle Paws had arrived. (Every time they allowed me to work on the nails, they would be rewarded with a little ham.) This tool is phenomenal. It is safe for the dogs and, this is what I most love about it, it is very fast. Our dogs are large dogs and two of them have very thick nails. However, with the Gentle Paws the job is done easily, painlessly, safely and very fast. Being an OSTER, I knew this tool would be a high quality tool, but I did not imagine it was going to be that good and that fast. Love it! [In the past we used to have a Dremel, but it did not work for us and it was too slow.] [I am also surprised at how fast the slices of ham convinced 3 out of 4 dogs to show a little cooperation so soon. Good proof that the tool is not as bothersome as our dogs want to make us think.] I highly recommend this tool! - Dog Grooming - Nail Care - Pet Grooming Tool - Dogs'

Battery-powered Flashlights - aa, mini maglite
All the mag lites share solid aluminum construction and rubber o-ring seals. What sets the mini mag off from the other mag lites is its size (easy to hold with teeth while working under car, sink, etc) and one little known feature - "candle" mode. You adjust the beam focus by rotating the mini mag's head, but if you continue turning the head pops off; you are left with the handle and the exposed bulb, which is now throwing light in all directions - it is a "candle". Flip the head over, place it on the ground/table - it is now a "candle holder". Stick the candle into the candle holder. Instant candle for camping. (These directions are actually on the mini mag's packaging, but it wasn't until I had bought my third mini mag (one for car, kitchen, daypack) that I noticed. This is actually a great trick to show other mini mag owners... they also threw their packaging away without looking it. The larger mag lights don't have this feature.)Two mini mags in the candle mode do a good job on a picnic table at night... so get two of them... they're cheap. Maglite M2A01H AA Mini Flashlight and Holster Combo-Pack, Black
I have been using these same lights for 12 years now. The AA ones are waterproof to about 30 feet or so (the O-rings keep the seal airtight). I don't know if maglite supports that use though :) I use them not only as lights, but to prop doors open, hammer small nails. These things are TOUGH! Keep one in the car. One in the kitchen. One in the bedroom. One in the toolbox. One at work. Helpful Hints: Lightly grease the O rings with vaseline or other petroleum jelly occasionally (wipe off excess). This keeps the seals watertight, and makes the light work like new. take off head of flashlight, and examine the bulb (not lit!) - after a while they get burnt on the inside - replace occasionally to maintain maximum illumination! Replacement bulbs are CHEAP! Get some! I use these a LOT! Consider using NiMH rechargeable batteries.
I can't reiterate enough what the other reviewers have said about the mini-mag Light. I own about 4 or 5 of these things and they are great. I have previously owned maybe 15 to 20 other plastic flashlights in the past and all have bit the dust. Broken case is the number 1 reason due to a drop or being stepped on. For some other reason, these others have crummy switches which fail easily. NOT THE MAG LIGHT. The switch is simple and tough (I know since I've taken it apart) The battery life is great, the case is highly durable. I love the candle mode (i.e. take the head off completely) I have also mixed and matched parts from different colors to make mine unique. My 3 year old son loves his and it is easy for him to turn on or off. He is really rough with his toys, but has never stopped the mini mag. (Warning - kids do like to take the head of the light off which exposes the lamp. If the lamp breaks, then it could be dangerous to them.) Finally, the spare bulb in the tail piece is awesome, very handy. When I replace the bulb (which is needed sometimes) I always make sure there is a good spare in the tail piece. I could go on and on. If you're looking for a cool gift, or need some extra light, buy a few of them. They are the best.
I have owned a variety of high-end flashlights over the years and at one time worked as a Sheriff's Sergeant in a major metropolitan area. In that line of work a bright flashlight is a tool of the trade, and is carried at all times, even during the day. A belt holder for a flashlight should keep the flashlight securely attached to the belt and allow the user to rapidly deploy and replace the flashlight with a minimum of fuss. It should allow the flashlight the freedom to swing and swivel to accommodate sitting in a vehicle and/or riding a snomobile, ATV or similar conveyance. This belt holder only accomplishes the first objective. While it does hold the flashlight securely, it tends to bind if one attempts to remove the flashlight without using a second hand to hold the ring perpendicular to the flashlight body and a second hand is required to hold the ring perpendicular to the flashlight body to return the flashlight to it's holstered position. The ring also has only limited freedom to allow the flashlight to swing forwards and backwards to clear obstacles and vehicle steats and saddles. For casual use this product is OK. But for professional use, the product's single-axis swinging ring design detracts from it's usefullness. If you're serious about a flashlight holster, buy one of the all-leather products that has a ring that is soft and compliant and hold itself at 90 degrees to the belt ring. These can be obtained at a Police equipment supply.
This is the highest quality flashlight on earth. Not just this model but the entire product line.I think Mag Instruments has perfected the flashlight. You could spend your whole life buying and tossing cheapo flashlight's or buy a Maglite ONCE it's that simple.Dont blow your money on plastic junk Stick with Mag they really are the Mercedes Benz of flashlights.
The first one I had was black, just like Model-T. Being dark and inside my dark overalls pocket, I forgot about it until it fell. It fell couple more times since. It is still working. It is a good size to go inside the tool box permanently. The size is also small enough to go inside where only your hand can reach. Sometimes in my line of work in seismic oil exploration I need to do come cabling, the Mini helps to get the connection right.Bought a few more Mag lights since the first one, seeing as it is tough and rain proof. But when I travel it is the Mini that comes along instead of the Mag Solitaire because the AA size batteries is the most universally available battery you can find in most countries.Torch (flashlight to you guys in US) is like penknives, tend to need it in an emergency. So one lives with the Leatherman, one in the car glove box, the old one still in the tool box.Yeah, I have held the torch in my lips too in the past but now recommend a headband by Nite Ize to turn it into a headlamp. Another item worth considering if you go hiking a lot is the Nite Ize "Pock-its". This is a holster for Mini Mag Light and Leatherman, spare batteries. - Aa - Mini Maglite - Tools - Mag'

Washcloths - baby, spasilk
I needed small washcloths to clean my LO's bottom for cleaning up during diaper changes. I thought the 100% cotton ones couldn't be beat (from the spa silk towel and washcloth set), then I purchased a set of these to try out. LOVE THEM!!! These are great for cleaning baby's bottom - use a wipe to get the major stuff, then use these washcloths (soaked in warm water and wrung out) to get the detailed work done. The are small and thin enough to get in the nooks and crannies, but absorbent enough to retain enough moisture to be effective. They have a soft side and a "rougher" side. Terrific. I'll probably eventually start using in the bath, but they are terrific for diaper changes right now. I purchased two more packs to make sure I have enough on hand. Well worth it for my use! Highly recommended for this use! Spasilk 10 pack Soft Terry Washcloth, Yellow
I just purchased these simple wash cloths based on previous reviews from those using them as baby bottom wipes. Previously I was using homemade flannel wipes which I found to hold too much water and I constantly felt like I was wiping my daughters bottom with dry cloth. These wash cloths however don't retain a ton of the baby wipe solution, are nice and soft and are just the right size. I was worried that they might seem a bit crusty after they came out of the dryer the first time but sure enough they softened right up as soon as I stuck them into my Wipes warmer (...)
I made my own baby wipe solution using the following recipe
3 cups water
2 tsp Baby wash (...)
1/8th tsp Nipple nurture butter (...)
2 tsp Vegetable glycerin (...)
I filled a 1 Quart canning jar with hot water, added the remaining ingredients and gave a quick shake to mix. Now I just keep it on the changing table and can simply poor in a little every time I refill my warmer with wipes. Also I removed the sponge that came with the warmer and have had no issues with mildew. I just refill my warmer every other day with wipes.
I love that all of the above products are completely cruelety free, chemical free and vegan so I don't have to worry about grabbing a wipe to clean up our daughters hands and face unlike commercial baby wipes. Also Lavendar essential oil which is so common in most baby wipe formulations is a hormone disruptor and should not be used on babys skin.
The prints are cute but the 80/20 cotton to poly ratio means that these washcloths are thin and not absorbent. I bought this item with the matching pack of 3 hooded towels; similarly unimpressed with that item. Disappointing after reading the great reviews on other Spasilk products.
We bought two packages and thought it was too much for our newborn. However, we go through them so quickly! We do laundry every other day and still we use these all the time. They are great for spit up, mopping up after baby, washing her--everything!
We got the yellow wipes for our cloth diapered baby since we discovered it is much more practical to use cloth wipes when cloth diapering, not to mention less wasteful and more effective than disposable wipes (I never need more than one cloth wipe per change, compared to two or three disposables). I refuse to pay 2 bucks a pop for fancy cloth wipes when baby washcloths are so inexpensive, but I did not like the thick border around other baby washcloths because it makes it harder to maneuver around all the tiny baby parts and crevices. These however have a thin border seam and are very soft and thin with a smooth side and a textured side, so they make ideal wipes. They have only been through the wash about 5 times now, but seem to be well made and holding up just fine. We use the Prince Lionheart Warmies wipe warmer which is PERFECT for cloth wipes and far superior to another brand of wipe warmer we had before. It actually gets the wipes warm and it holds all 10 washcloths with plenty of room for more. The Warmies wipes are a joke though. Fell apart after 1 wash. These are MUCH better. We also make our own solution with water, witch hazel and a drop of Kissaluvs Diaper Lotion Potion. I plan to order the blue set of washcloths to have extras. Great buy!
We use cloth diapers (Bumgenius) and I bought these cloths as reuseable butt wipes. They go into the pail and then the laundry with the diapers. They're very absorbent, they can take a beating (double rinse hot wash three times a week!), they're soft, and they're pretty cute. For our purposes they're perfect!
Do NOT spend your money on other products specifically made for cloth diaper wipes; these are thin, a nice texture, soft and perfect to use in a wipe warmer with your favorite cleansing solution. A bargain. Easy to wash, either by hand or machine. A good size.
Surprisingly, these washcloths are not just for babies. I bought them strictly for my face. I have sensitive skin and my face really can't handle hard materials (like regular washcloths). They are great for washing your face and removing face masks. No matter how hard you scrub, the washcloth will get the job done without being harsh to delicate skin. Also, after you wash and dry them, they are still soft and stainless.
For a 10 pack, the price is cheaper than the normal 7 or 8 pack. And the material holds up really well compared to some similar priced/cheaper quality brands. I'm very pleased!
I ordered these for my newborn. 10 of them in the pack, which is great, I never run out, even when I use 2 washcloths at a time. one to put on the baby's tummy to keep her warm and the other one to wash her. I love these because they are thin and gets in the nooks and crannies. and have 2 sides - 1 terry side and the back is soft/jersey-ish which i use for the face. - Baby Gift - Spasilk - Baby Bathing And Grooming - Baby'

Quality Control Issues - faux leather, fossil
This is a lovely bag, soft beautiful leather and well-made. However, the dimensions are smaller than the manufacturer claims. Also, the bag is considerably narrower at the top than the bottom, so it holds much less than one would expect. I have average-sized hands and I even found it a bit difficult to get my hand in and out. I have returned the bag. Lucky Brand Stash Cross-Body,Western Brown, one size
I was so dissapointed to discover that the magnetic flap did not attach to the bag securely and came loose very easily. If the bag had a zipper inside to prevent items falling out, it would have been no problem. Overall, it is a well made, rugged looking bag and I would have made lots of use out of it. However security is a priority and I don't feel safe having a bag that doesn't close properly. I had to return it :( - Quality Control Issues - Faux Leather - Cross-body - Fossil'

Body Moisturizer - lotion, healing
I was tempted to not review this, lest the secret get out...great product and value. Rich without being greasy, has a great smell and just plain works for dry skin. Buy more than one because you'll not want to run out! Hempz Herbal Moisturizer, 17-Fluid Ounce (500 ml) (Package may vary)
If you're like me, you probably have several bottles of half-used lotion in your bathroom cabinet that just don't match up to the advertisement you saw on TV. And then I discovered Hempz Herbal Moisturizer. I first received it as a gift from my dad (I'm a girl) and was skeptical that I'd like a lotion that he uses. Well, I was more than surprised when I first put Hempz on my skin. I haven't used anything else on my skin for over a year now. The texture of this moisturizer is thick and smooth; it absorbs easily into your skin, leaving it moist but not greasy. I apply Hempz at night before going to bed and then very lightly in the morning and my skin stays moist all day. It's great in the winter, especially if you live in a cold/dry area like I do. And the scent is mild enough that perfume/cologne can be worn without too many over-powering scents. To put it simply, this is the best lotion I've ever owned.
I have used a Hempz cream in the jar before that I received as a gift, so I thought I was safe in ordering the lotion version as the description mentions nothing about the extremely strong, floral scent. One reviewer mentioned that she didn't like the scent, but as it wasn't specific and so many others wrote about how great this is--I ordered it. I cannot use it as the scent is SO strong it actually makes me a bit queasy... it smells like old floral (perhaps from the jasmine mentioned in the ingredients very far down), but for a lotion that you use all over your body it permeates everything including adding the scent to your clothing, as well. It is a nice moisturizer and absorbs well, but at the expense of making the wearer smell so strong it caused a comment from someone nearby. I see that they now have one with pomegranate and almond. Perhaps that will smell less strong, but this definitely does not match the scent of the Hempz cream in the jar. - Body Lotion - Healing - Hempz - Lotion'

Dishwasher Detergent - green, dish detergent
They say this is safe for the environment. I say this is probably true, given how safe it is for the bits of the environment that are stuck to my plates. You can also easily overflow your dishwasher with suds if you use too much. I experimented with various amounts and couldn't find an amount that equated to getting my dishes clean, though I did find some amounts that equated to getting suds on my floor. Earth Friendly Products Wave Auto Dish Gel High Performance, Lavender, 40 Ounces (Pack of 8)
This stuff is great for the environment and it smells great. BUT...even though I rinse my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher, this stuff just doesn't do the job getting them clean. My glasses are all cloudy. Overall, I want to do my part for the environment but I REALLY want clean dishes too. I have to get through this case and then I'll be looking for something that works better.
Because of the majority of the reviews published, I have been thru 2 bottles of this product now, which I bought at my local CoOp, and I have to say I like. It works well for me. My dishes are clean, no film (though I do use Ecover rinse aid). I do pre-rinse my dishes, but I don't, by any means, scrub them prior to putting them in the dishwasher. I have never over-flowed the washer with suds. I like the lavender smell that fills my kitchen and lingers, mildly, on my dishes for a brief period of time. I live in the SW part of the Country so maybe the hard water has something to do with the quality of cleanliness different people get from this product. If you can find it locally pick up a bottle and give it a try before buying a whole case. But for me, I really like it!
Unfortunately, this product just doesn't work. We pre-rinse plates, we've tried adding more or less detergent, and nothing seems to help. Our dishes are always streaked with a cloudy white film, and our glasses are all cloudy. Our utensils are rarely clean, and are always spotted. I've thoroughly checked our dishwasher to make sure there are no clogs and to ensure diry water wasn't re-circulating.
I don't like the scent of lavender in dish cleaning liquid anyway, I prefer lemon or citrus, but I purchased this hoping it would be an environmentally helpful product.
Sadly, it just doesn't do the job. I am now stuck with 5 bottles that I am not quite sure how to use - maybe they'll help cleaning the tub.
I've tried many MANY eco friendly products and this one by far is the best. Not sure why there are bad reviews but all my dishes get very clean. I always pre-rinse my dishes because its better for the washer so it may be because I don't put dish in with "food glue" on them :D
I read several of the other reviews that were displeased because this product did not work well for them in removing food particles, etc; i.e., getting their dishes clean. I understand how this could be a fact. Our household is the type that rinses dishes really well before placing in the dishwasher so we don't have this issue. Compared to other non-toxic liquid dishwashing soaps we've used this is equally as good, if not better. If you're concerned about the environment and willing to give your dishes a good rinse this should work well for you.
Just spent $60 on a repair call to figure out why my dishwasher is not cleaning my dishes anymore. Coffee stains on my cups, food on plates and silverware, film on glasses... Dishwasher is fine. When I asked if it was at all possible that the problem was the new dishwashing gel, the repairman mentioned exactly what other reviewers have said, that this gel was not good, created ineffective suds and was prone to suds overflowing. He recommended the Cascade balls which are also recommended by Consumer Reports. http://www.amazon.com/Cascade-Complete-Phosphate-48-Count-Container/dp/B002SB95ZK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1288293195&sr=8-1
Without a doubt the most ineffective dishwasher detergnt I've ever used. I have a very good Bosch dishwasher and had no problems getting my dishes clean until I used this product. Every knife and cooking utensil has to be rewashed, regardless of how dirty it was to start with. Even butter knives are left with a scummy film. I don't see how this can be good for the environment if everything needs to be washed twice. Unfortunately, I bought it at Costco so I have to use up several bottles before I can go back to my old brand. Don't waste your money.
We're not grease-loving people, so maybe we're not the best testers, but we've gone through several bottles of this and are dishes and glasses are clean with no residue. I don't know why so many others are having a problem. I would give it five stars, but I've noticed a difference in consistency between bottles--it should be a gel, but we had a bottle that was more fluid. Also, the fragrance has not been consistent between bottles. Cleans like a champ, though. We do rinse our dishes before loading but just a quick rinse--no scrubbing.

Boat Covers
This shipped fast from Amazon as always. It appears to be well made and of high quality. It was easy to install and has performed flawlessly the past week when we had really high winds and heavy rains. Classic Accessories Hurricane Boat Cover (Model C)
This boat cover is strong, sturdy, has straps built into the tarp. Often in the summer when it rains water may rest on top of the tarp adding pressure. Most of my tarps I have used don't last long because of the weight of the water (I added poles in the boat to elevate the tarp but in some cases that's not enough) BUT this tarp is strong and holds up to the toughest of storms. Love it!
I've had this boat cover for nearly three months now, it works great! I have a heavy canvas car cover, and was expecting something similar, but this cover is a lot lighter and feels just as strong. There is a little extra material at the front of the bow, but for a universal cover it fits my 17.5 foot Baretta quite snugly. I was very pleased with how it trailers, no problems and no air pockets (even at 75 M.P.H.). The straps and buckles are of good quality. There is an extra, single tie down ring in the middle of the back of the cover, which is not as sturdy as the buckles, it broke when I put a rope through it and was tying this area down. However, I simply knotted the rope around the ring's strap and it is fine. In the picture it looks as if the cover comes with a pocket in the back, to go around an outboard. I am happy to say that this is NOT the case, as I have a stern drive and this extra material would look unappealing. I ordered a model D. As far as the color, it isn't blue (again referencing the picture), it is gray with a nice blue "Classic Accessories" logo on each side. The cover actually comes with a bow strap as well, unlike the picture. I am including a link to another Classic Accessories boat cover (Storm Pro), to show the actual strap system that the Hurricane Boat cover comes with. The logo location is also the same, but the Storm Pro is dark gray, the Hurricane is light gray. Classic Accessories StormPro Boat Cover. Overall I am very pleased with the Hurricane Boat Cover!
This is a sturdy cover with straps that are easy to use on my 17.5' Tracker. When I remove the cover I leave the straps connected to one side of the cover and toss the loose ends back over the top. I then roll the cover from front to back with the loose straps inside. At the back, I flip the back corners up over the rolled cover, then fold each side to the center, pick it up, and store it. When it's time to put the cover back on I simply unfold it, reconnect the back corner straps, and roll it forward. I toss the loose ends of the straps under the boat, then connect them, and I'm ready to roll.
This was purchased for a 1988 Ebbtide Dyna-Trak 178 SS. It fits the boat like a glove, but is not long enough to cover the motor (110hp Evinrude). The cover is of medium weight nylon. It has a buckle-strap arrangement that secures it to the boat from side-to side underneath and elastic around the perimeter, and is very easy to install. I use the cover only for storage but it appears it would serve well for trailering. So far it has withstood some fairly severe storms and just recently 9" of heavy, wet snow with no leaks. Overall a good cover for the relatively low price.
A good product for the price. If you snug it down tight it doesnt flap (at least at 55) Good to keep leaves out of the boat, seems to be only about 90% waterproof. My boat is in the middle of the size recommendation for this cover, and it is a tight fit. Make sure you cover sharp objects. I think my folded bimini is what makes it a tight fit. I will add to this review after 6 months when I have tested its longevity.
This cover is great. It doesn't allow water through and protects my boat from the elements. I won't try to trailer it because of the loose fit. I would have given it 5 stars but it's really big for my 14 1/2' TriHull.
I bought a type C for my 16ft sailboat. When the boat is stored, the mast lies along the top of the boat. This cover is a very good fit - extends a couple of ft at the back to cover the outboard, overlaps 1 to 2 ft at the sides, and covers the bow despite the mast being in the way.
In terms of quality it's pretty good - feels like it should last a while. It has proper quick-clips on the tie-downs, unlike some cheaper covers which make you tie knots in them.
Well made. Seams sewn securely, straps and buckles good quality and enough to do a good job of securing cover. Fit my 14 ft. fishing boat well with enough extra length to cover the motor. Did not include anything to support cover in center of boat for the cover to shed water rather than allow it to pool. Bowed several sections of half inch PVC and attached to gunwale to provide curve to shed water. Do not have any feedback on how the cover stands up to wind (while towing) or weather after a longer period of time.
bought this 14' hurricane boat cover for a 12' foot Jon Boat. Was pleasantly surprised regarding the quality of it... sewn in straps to hold the cover in place. At 14' it's long enough to cover the motor too. Very satisfied with this purchase.'

Update 12/22/08 still performing well!
Used to cost $60 now selling for $50.
Purchased my first to replace the originals provided with the 12v XRP 1/2 drill/driver. This battery is better constructed and delivers good power for a long time. The original batteries lasted about a year and a half. The jury is no longer out on this unit. I just purchased my second unit. If you use your tools everyday - buy it - you'll like it. For someone who does not use their tools everyday it may be more cost effective to buy the DW-1214's at $28.00 per. So far the 12v XRP drill/drivers have remained unchanged so your batteries will still have value when your drill wears out.
This is the first serviceable battery I have seen from Dewalt; it is screwed together rather than glued. The packaging states that the battery has a 2 year, free service guarantee, which implies that the internal batteries can be replaced within 2 years for only the cost of parts. The packaging states that there is a 3 year limited guarantee on this unit, however there is no documentation that explains what the "limited" guarantee covers.
These 12v batteries can fit in and operate my 14.2v xrp driver - a good thing to know in a pinch.
What kept me from giving the unit 5 stars is the price. They are still rather expensive.

It's been a couple of months since I've purchased these and they are holding up fine. Good power and long lasting. I use them in a commercial setting and typically I have to change them every year anyway. This latest version of the 12 volt battery looks like it has screws holding it shut so it may be easier to refirbish them at the end of their life.
DEWALT DC9071 XRP 12-Volt Ni-Cad Battery
Better than original DW9071 XR and DW9072.
Was not happy with drill until I got these batterys.
Now the drill works like I thought it should have in the begining. - Replacement - 12v - Dewalt Battery - Battery'
