Access Point - d-link, bridge

After trying different Netgear N AP's out there, this one seems quite stable and has a great range. The installation was quite simple to follow and its features are rich too. Only wished it didn't take so many seconds to reboot each time a configuration change was made. Other than that, this router is more reliable so far, will update more after a few more days. Amped Wireless High Power Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300)

I bought this along with the SR300 Amped Repeater (which is also reviewed - great product). The High Power Access Point is an excellent product with great features as advertised. Easiest networking product that i've ever had to setup. Even easier than the repeater which I must say was pretty easy.

Just make sure you are using a 4 wire ethernet cable if you plan on extending the AP from your router using another ethernet cable other than the one provided. It works better with NON POE cables according to their techs which were very helpful.

Great product. A+

I followed the easy set-up instructions but newer got this item to work. I called Amped help desk and after waiting for 20 mins decided to leave a message and hope they call back. Indeed, they did call back about an hour later, which was even past their normal closing time for help desk support. After walking through my issues the technician apologized that it was a known issue that this box does not work with the Comcast SMR supplied router that I have. There was no known solution so the only thing to do was return the product. I was told the issue is with the recent software upgrade pushed to the SMR router by Comcast, and none of these types of products will work with this router. I found Amped support to be excellent - it's disappointing I was not able to know in advance of purchasing that this would never work.

As advertised, it is very easy to set up and even the advanced settings are relatively easy to manipulate. HOWEVER, it did not extend my wireless range at all. I bought the product in the hopes of getting better wireless range than that provided by my Uverse 2wire router. Before purchasing, I called amped and they said the access point would certainly accomplish this. No dice. The poor performing uverse router actually provides better range than the amped access point. So, I am returning the device and will try my luck with and airport extreme and airport express combo.

Out of the box you can plug this device into a router and get immediate high speed wireless. But if you want to change the original settings you need to access the AP300 via wifi using either [...] or [...]. The documentation admits that the first address may not work (it didn't) but neither did the second. Unplugging and holding down the reset button did not change the situation. But hey, there is a toll free customer service number. But no one answers and as of day two no one calls back.

So until I get a call (or an email) from the service department and figure out how to change the settings on the device I am a highly dissatisfied customer.

If you are happy with the default settings (and if you do not anticipate that you will ever need to contact customer service), this is the device for you. If not, look elsewhere.

Educational Toys - science, desk toy

These tornado tubes are a fun way to teach kids about forces of nature. They're really simple to use- screw two 2 liter bottles together with these after filling them partially with water. I always preferred to put some food coloring in just to make it look more interesting. I love that it includes a booklet explaining the scientific principles at work. Phone - phone, pouch

I purchased this tool pouch looking for ways to lighten my load and versatility. I am an electrician by trade and this pouch fits the bill perfectly. I found the constuction of the pouch to be robust yet not bulky the flat bottom is key to it's usefullness as it does not tip over when I set it down on a flat surface, plus the handle is perfect for hanging from the top of my ladder, scissor lift or jlg via hook or large cable/cord cuff keeping my tools within easy reach but not hanging from my hips or shoulders thus saving my back. The number of tool pockets and their shape placement and design has worked very well for me, I have a similar pouch from Makita and have stopped using it now that I have this one. This pouch also can be worn as a traditional tool pouch using the tool belt provided, I personaly have not found this necessary. Great tool pouch! Dead On DOP-54017 Utility Tool Pouch

Well done Dead On! You should approach phone companies for an exclusive contract. The pouch they gave to their employees is obsolete and more expensive than this one.. - Phone - Pouch'

Tommy Hilfiger

Received this watch as a gift from my wife, so for that reason its special. I like the fit of it, especially the rubber watchband. The band has the traditional two loops to hold the sleeve into place. I have had the watch for a year now, and one of them just ripped. The factory battery just died as well after one year. My only real complaint on this watch is the lighting. It has the illuminated coverings on the hands and numbers, and when they work they are sufficient. The problem is that they usually dont work and I cant seem to figure out why. The nice thing about the watch is that its a good functional and attractive watch for the money. Tommy Hilfiger Men's 1790485 Black Rubber Strap Watch

I got this watch because of the rubber belt and the dial looked very attractive. I am pleased with the watch so far.. i have used it in skiing and other sports activities.. but the crystal and body quality are great.. not even one scratch until now. I strongly recommend this product.

I have owned two Hilfiger watches. Both lasted less than a year. The first watch stem fell out. After paying $12.00 and the cost to ship it to their repair service for warranty repair, it was declined and an estimate to fix the watch was emailed back. (double the original purchase price of the watch). When asked for an explanation why they wouldn't honor their warranty, they replied their "experts" determined it was not defective, I must have abused it. I didn't think so, but maybe.

Well shame on me, I bought another one. This one apparently leaked...it had water in it. Same story on the warranty, including the high cost to repair. I must have got it wet...duh! It's a waterproof watch...I was washing my hands!.

Never again....caveat emptor.

I bought this watch as a gift for my cousin. It's sporty, sufficiently heavy and stylish. My cousin was very happy with it and it seems to have become his favorite watch. Very good value for the money.

When it has came down to Tommy Hilfiger, they've known how to please the everyday person in clothing, but surprisingly with watches as well. That shows well for men with this 17890485 black rubber strap watch. It has the convience for any watch shopper is looking for a simple style, The rubber strap feels very comfortable on the wrist, and is easy to setup compared to fancier watches on the market. I found it to be very comfortable, and sporty for any man on a budget, whom also wants to be fashionable and stylish with the everyday worker. It really works well for me, and for anyone who is looking for a nice watch at a inexpensive price. Tommy Hilfiger does make nice watches, and this one handles well as a great and simple buy for any man, but also who wants their watch to be simple and sporty as possible.

Overall: B

I recently purchased 4 watches not including this one. The others were Wenger, Timex, and Fossil watches. However, this Hilfiger watch is my favorite. I love the fit, the look, and price. I only wish I would have purchsed this one first for I would not have bought the others

I have just received the watch and I am in love with it. It's all what I was looking for. Not too small, not too big, it's elegant and very fashionable. I was a little bit concern about the rubber band, but its very comfortable and looks very good too. I am completely satisfy and I recommend these product to very one.'

Watch To Consider - luminox watch, dive watch

My wife and son bought me a luminox water resistant watch for christmas one year.It was a fairly expensive watch and I was happy with it for two years. At that time I was stepping aboard my boat when the pin holding the band fell out. I caught the watch just before it hit the salt water where it would have been lost forever. It might as well have been. I replaced the pin and it happened again. I took the watch to the jewelry store and was told that the watch could not be fixed as the stainless pins had worn out the rubber where the ends of the pins seat. The name Navy Seals suggests that this is one tough watch which it is not. Stainless pins must have a metal seat. Luminox Men's 3901 Original Navy SEAL Dive Watch

This is my 2nd Luminox watch the first one I wore in the Marine Corps. These watches hold up very well in my opinion. I was always low crawling and running through the mud and my first Luminox to this day does not have a single scratch on the crystal. I bought a new one only because I wanted a black face. If you want a good watch that will take a beating then get one of these.

First, let it be said that Amazon and the contracted seller, Dexclusive, are awesome! No fault there at all!

I bought the watch because of the tritium markings, combined with Swiss quality. We do a lot of night operations, and the tritium on the numbers and hands (even the second hand) are perfect! Bright enough that you can see the time at a glance in ANY condition without having to push a "light" button, but not so much as to give away a position. No question, exactly what I've bee looking for.

The first thing I noticed was an occasional catch when I was resetting the date or time. The second thing was that I was doing this reset at least twice a week. Not for a few seconds off. It might be 3 or 4 minutes, it has skipped hours before! Had the battery changed 3 times just to be sure, same result. This has gone on for 6 months. Thirdly, the SEALS I knew back in my Navy days would not have allowed their insignia on this thing. A tactical watch that erratically skips time?! Guess I'll try Smith & Wesson.

UPDATE: 7/25/10- After 4 attempts by a watch maker to repair my Luminox, it not only stops during date change, but upon resetting, the minute hand has gotten totally out of sync with the hour. (hour hand right on with minute hand around the ten til position) A SERIOUS waste of money. You're better off with a $20 Casio with a "light" button. Couldn't figure out how to give a "zero stars" rating. The guys in the Teams need to consider getting their name and logo off of this thing.

I bought this watch because a metal allergy sent me looking for a band with no metal at all. This watch is really light weight, and I never know that I am wearing it. I dropped it into my dogs water bowl and immediately fished it out, well I rinsed it off and let it dry out and it's been fine. At night the glowing hash marks show up clearly in all situations and that is really nice. Overall if you like what you see buy it. This watch does everything that they say it does and well.

I am a watch hound, I have over 20 watches in my collection everyting from Omega to Ball and all in between.

I have owned a Luminox 3900 series for over 7 years now, and will say this is the best everyday watch I have ever owned. I work in Law Enforcement and spend a lot of time boarding foregin vessels at sea in the Gulf of Mexico. I am also a diver and have been down to 40 feet several times with this watch and never had a problem.

I have replaced the battery once and the watch band once (after my boxer tried to eat my watch, no scratches on the face or case.)

Great watch for the money, I wish I would have known about these watches when I was in the Navy.

I ordered this watch Saturday and i got it in the mail today.Fast shipping, I should of got it tomorrow.I gave it 4 stars because when i got it there was a tiny dent, nothing big though. This product is worth it but some other people said that when they went in the water with it on and got salt water in it,you are supposed to clean it so no salt water gets in the watch. It says it in the Manual. It's well worth $171 total. I am going to Basic training at Fort Knox Kentucky so I need a good watch.

I am a bit of a watch dork and own several diving watches. I read the good and bad of this watch and figured i'd give it a fair shake and bought it as a graduation gift for my son, who is on his way to hawaii for college and needed a nice diving/water sports watch. This this is very light, made of composite materials and feels like you are not wearing anything. While it claims to be water resistant to 200 meters, it started fogging up just wearing it around and had water in it after a shower. the back has four screws that hold it down instead of using a screw down case like finer dive watches. after taking it to a watch repair place locally, they told me the case had a small crack that was only visible under magnification. I contacted the seller and they told me that they take pictures of all their watches for "security reasons", that they don't sell damaged watches, and that they would charge me to fix or replace it, even though I contacted them well under the warranty period. This is a cheap product with an expensive price tag and a company that has horrible customer service. I should have stuck with Seiko!!!

Ive read a bunch of reviews on here that their luminox watches don't like water and are not rugged. maybe theirs a bad batch or something else. i bought mine at a local px when i was in the army. not sure what model exactly but it reads 3000/3900 series on the back bezel. Ive had the watch over 5 years now with the same battery and its pretty much the only watch i will wear. i did two 15 month tours over in the sandbox and you cant imagine the amount of hell i have put this thing through. its been through sand storms, tools falling on it, thrown around, caked with mud, etc, etc. its seen numerous times in the water, diving or just playing around. i haven't gone more than 60ft diving with it yet so i cant vouch for any deeper. but its the best watch Ive ever own.

PROS:

- a watches weight is important to me. this is one of the lightest ones Ive ever owned. it just feels natural on my wrist.

- looks it just looks good. its not flashy, it doesn't stand out.

- rugged its more than earned its money with me. (Ive personally tested it out-slamming it down, submerging it for hours at a time)

- battery i had to replace the battery about two years ago. but that was just precautions of me for a big trip.

- watch band- listen do your self a favor and get the nylon Velcro strap. the others suck but this one is the most comfortable band and the most durable. i have replaced it once cause the Velcro started falling and peeling off( 120 degree weather, sand, water, everything else.

CONS:

- original rubber band sucks get the Velcro one.

-the face piece (plastic) it does have a 2 small scratches from the years of abuse wish it was a little bit more scratch resistance though - Luminox Watch - Dive Watch'

Bubble Wrap

I am using bubble wrap for home window insulation. You simply cut to fit the window, spray a little water on the glass, and apply. The large bubbles still allow you to see out of the window. This wrap is great, best priced, and delivered very quickly. 1/2" x 125ft x 24" BUBBLE WRAP ROLL (Large Bubbles)

This product is perfect for anything fragile and small you need to protect. We were in the process of moving and I needed small bubble wrap for my China dishes. This product was perfect and inexpensive! It was half the price of the bubble wrap from WalMart or Staples ~ and that included shipping!! Excellent!!

I bought this bubble wrap to package a variety of items I am selling on eBay to clear out my clutter. It's durable and a very convenient format: 1/2" bubbles, 24" wide, perforated every foot. And Packit Right is pricing it fairly - to get a better price I would have to drive a long distance and buy a bigger quantity. This is a good product.

I had readed on line about how people used it for insulation on windows to help in the winter. I had several windows that needed extra insulation during the winter. I feel it helped in the areas that I used it. Good also to ship items to granddaughter in Iowa.

Spray water on and apply the easiest application on glass windows. Saw this method on a morning show - and had one window done in 10 min. [9 min to dig out a pc we had] Works super - particularily where the windows are old/old/old...........

One can work mini-blind and/or roll up shades normally as this method does not hamper function of these.

SW VA winters are getting to be as nasty as the north.

We cut abt 1/2 inch wider than the actual glass itself. If it needs a little 'anchoring' beyond the water method - masking tape works great.

Covering the bottom half of most standard windows still allows for one to see out the top half. If covering all window area as we are in one room - plenty of light filters in. One room will get 96 feet - for starters/ has triple windows. Drapes always closed - so 3 rows should do it -

Also looks decent from the outside .... upl pix later'

Electricians Tool

When I started out as an electrician's helper, I needed good quality tools. I purchased some Klein tools at the recomendation of co workers and have used them exclusively for my electrical jobs ever since.

This tool is about 9 inches long and has a very sturdy feel to it. It will take whatever abuse you can dish out. Like most Klein pliers, I have found it helpful to keep the tool clean with a light coating of wd-40 to keep the handles nice and loose as well as keep the rust down. It is also helpful in keeping the nice plastic coating on the handles from drying and cracking. The cutter on this tool is very strong, and can cut wire, as well as small electrical bolts and cutting and/or closing loops on light duty chain.(such as you might find on a hanging light fixture.)

A side cutting plier, or linesmans pliers as they are called in the trade are exremely handy for twisting and untwisting wire braids. This practice is a must for making wire pigtails, and this tool does it with ease. Even heavier 12 gauge wire is no challenge for this tool. I have even seen electricians use this tool as a tight spot hammer to drive home wire staples that are in inaccesable spots that a hammer could not swing.

Kleins might cost more than some other brands but once you use them, you never want to go back. Klein Tools D213-9NE 9-Inch High Leverage Side Cutting Plier

If you want quality linesmans pliers, look no further. These Klein pliers are backed by the best name in electric tools. You can get up close when you cut the cable and these pliers are good at bending the wire too.

I am a mechanic who used to be an electrician. As a mechanic, I used my Klein Linesman Side Cutters (bought in 1987 as an electrician) often, but I used them to cut bolts, steel hangers and such. Their cutters still were sharp enough to cut and strip wire (the half of the cutter closest to the pivot was dull due to over a decade of abuse mentioned above, but the far side half was still sharp enough to cut 18 gauge strand in one easy squeeze). I lost them in December 08 and replaced them with a $65 pair of Snap-On side cutters.

I LOVE Snap-On hand tools, but their side cutters are not as good as Klein's. Although they are the same size, Snap-Ons' don't have as much cutting power and the handles flex more when cutting hard objects.

Klein side cutters (and diagonal cutters) are the best I've used, and for the money, I'd bet they're the best available.

Klein has long been the standard in the electrician's tool industry. These are pretty darn good pliers.HOWEVER, personally, I've switched to Bahco pliers. Unfortunately (or not, depending on how you feel about them), Bahco has been bought out by Snap-On. Still, they have retained their unique designs. Bahco's handles are MUCH more comfortable, and the tool just stays in your hand better. Everybody is making the high-leverage joint now, that's standard. But Bahco's teeth are cut better, the hardening is better, and the handle is so many miles ahead of the Kleins it's not really even a comparison.Still, the Kleins are easy to find, and can be had relatively cheaply. For the money, they're pretty darn good, but for the best, I'd get a set of Bahcos. They may not be on your company's approved list, and that's about the only downsided to them. Klein is approved by everyone, and used by very large companies, like Qwest.

If you are a new electrician, don't show up on the jobsite without this tool in your pouch.

I have tried other brands more expensive and less and this is the sidecutter that I have found to be of the highest quality.

The way to determine how good a pair of sidecutters are going to be is the distance measurement from the hinge to the start of the cutting blade. Klein has managed to cut this distance down to a minimum, while still maintaining the tool's strength. The closer that distance, the less force needed to cut thicker wire.

The blade stays sharp for a long time, and once your set of Kleins are broken in, you will not be able to live without them.

Consider moving up to the next level of Kleins with the fishtape pulling grip located at the top, inside of the handles. You will use it often.

I think Klein invented this tool. My Dad had a pair when I was a kid - and now I'm an old man. They would easily be a 'lifetime' tool except for one thing: construction workers know they are the best but don't want to pay the premium to have the best. So they steal them. I finally had to quit buying $60 Klein spud wrenches because I could not lay one down and turn around without it disappearing. But I will always have at least one pair of Klein lineman pliers.

I purchased these from Home Depot (an impulse buy, as so often happens!), and like all the other Klein pliers I've used I've had good results with them. I haven't used the fish tape pulling aspect of it, but along with a good pair of diagonal cutters they're a necessity for a complete toolbox.

This is by far the most exspensive but the best pair of linesman pliers tha you can buy! These pliers are incredibly solid. I use them as both pliers and the side of the pliers as a hammer for tacking in electrical staples. These are industry stand pliers for electrictrians.

Great pliers buy it once it will last you for life.

Highly recommend bunting these. You won't be disappointed

Another tool that I've used for years on the job with great results. They've withstood drops and even a lift rolling over top. My only very minor complaint is that they came out of the package stiff(which is what you want) but took a little while to break in. These are a must have for any electrician and should among the first tools that you buy for your field kit. They are high quality.'

Wireless Home Theater

I bought this after returning a Sony Home theater, not knowing what to expect. I read reviews on other Samsung Home Theater Systems and most of them got poor reviews. So I was very leery about buying this. Well I was pleasantly surprised. This was alot better than expected. The size of the speakers are very deceiving. As small as they are, they still produce a wonderful sound. The system definitely sounded better once i got it home than it did in the store. This system sets up very easily. The only downfall is the length of speaker wire for the rear speakers. As with any system the wires just aren't long enough. And they have special connectors that plug into the back of the system so I had to cut and splice the wire to make them longer. But other than that this system is WONDERFUL!! Great sound just enough bass. Samsung Electronics HT-D550 Home Theater System

This player works great. Plays DVDs, divx, mp3, etc... The Amazon description says it's wifi enabled but IT IS NOT. I was hoping to get a player that would play media off of my network, but I researched before I bought it and no other site said it had wi-fi, so I was mostly just hoping. Mysteriously, Samsung has no mention of this product on their website. Using the HDMI connection, if you turn this player on and put a disk in, my TV turns on and changes itself to the correct input. It's so easy that my 18 month old has learned how to get a movie going. The sound is great too. I had a philips home theater system before and the center channel was always too low. It was booming bass out of the subwoofer before the center channel was loud enough to hear voices. With this Samsung, the voices are clear and crisp. And the bass is great when you want it too. I really like the "touch sensitive" buttons. It's so easy to clean sticky kids fingerprints off the face.

I have this system hooked up to my 46" Toshiba LED TV. The TV controls the receiver with no programming at all. The set-up is easy. The speakers do have connectors on the end of the already which is a pro and a con. You can just strip back connectors and either solder or twist off wire to make a connection if you have wire routed through the walls like I do. The subwoofer has a decent amount of bass. One of my favorite things about this system is it doesn't eat power as a 1000W system. I had a 325W Sony System before that would heat up my room because it used so much power, but this system sounds way better and allows better energy efficiency of most systems around. I hooked my TV up to it so I can have surround sound Digital Signal when watching basic cable, playing games, or watching movies. I also hooked up my computer audio to the receiver so I can listen to music off of my computer whenever as well. It is really easy to switch audio sources and the receiver can produce Dolby sound. I feel for what this receiver cost, it was a steal for $180. I would recommend and already have to many people.

Pros

-Energy Efficiency

-Sound Quality

-Easy Set-Up

-All in One Player

Cons

-May need to cut speaker wire if rout wires through walls and ceiling

Bottom Line: I recommend this system. Great Gift Idea as well.

I'm very disappointed with the product. The home theater that was shipped to my house is not the same that amazon anounced. The speakers are totally different. The design looks like old. I don't recomend other customers buy this home theater.

I had looked on line at alot of sites. My son told me to try AMAZON.COM. I looked at alot of Home Theater System that would work with my 3D Ready Ready HD TV I had purchased. I couldn't believe how quick it would be to find the right one at the right price for my budget. It was easy to narrow down my choices. I didn't have to worry about what else I needed. The information was provided of what I may need to hookup the system. It was so easy. The Samsung Home Theater System work great.Samsung Electronics HT-D550 Home Theater System

The sound quality is good for the price. About what youd expect, good but not top-end.

I bought this item but returned it because I was hoping to use it as a receiver for a record player that I have that has an internal pre-amp and outputs AUX. However, this system will only play the record AUX out of the front two speakers ( I think since it's not a true receiver?). Also using the mini-audio input, sound will only come out of the front two speakers and the sub. I didn't realize this when I bought it and its really not worth $180 to have two tiny speakers playing your record player and only 3 playing an ipod and what I really wanted was a "surround sound" experience during both of those uses. I was planning on using it for the ipod & turntable now and for a TV/cablebox set up in the future when I could afford a TV, but it wasn't really a good solution for that.

So, the system is good if you have a TV but if you want to use it for something else, don't bother. You also really need a TV to do any configuring of the device since all the menus are on-screen.'

Home Improvement - brad nailer, cordless nailer

Please don't purchase this nailer and expect to use it for contractor use. It just isn't that type of nail gun. Slow and methodical is the name of the game with this one. You are not going to be firing nails as fast as you can pull the trigger. It will countersink 2 inch nails through 3/4 oak plywood and into a 2x4. However, there is a delay when you pull the trigger and if you pull the gun away from your workpiece to soon, it will leave the nail proud of the surface. Also, if you don't hold it firmly enough against your work piece then the resulting kickback will leave the nail slightly proud of the surface. If you exercise proper technique and patience then this gun will meet the homeowner/hobbiest use. I use it to reinforce glue joints on some of my projects. I also use this every weekend as woodworking is a hobby of mine. I thought about getting the dewalt nailer but it is a lot more bulky than the B&D and I felt that some of my projects require something that can get into smaller spots. Something you might consider depending on what your application needs are. Also, the cost was 1/3 of the Dewalt and at least half of any other 18 guage cordless nailer I could find at the time. So after reading some reviews on this one I purchased two of them for a couple reasons. First, I like to use differnt size nails on the same project and this would allow me to not have to constantly change out nail sizes. Second, based on some of the reviews I read I felt that if one broke down I would still have one that worked while I sent it in for service. Which brings me to the 2 year warranty that comes standard with this model. 2 months and about 200 nails into it, one of the nailers stopped working. The indicator light was indicating low battery and wouldn't fire. It would do that with all six of my batteries as I have other 18v B&D products. I took it to a local authorized repair center and he said B&D would probably just send me a new one in the mail. No hassles. So in conclusion I would say that this is a decent product that might give you some mechanical problems but the 2 yr manufacturers warranty makes it worth it.

***Update***

July 16, 2010. B&D has had my nailer since 6/21/10 for warranty service. Found out today that they will not be replacing it or repairing it, they will be sending me a check for the purchase price including tax. I asked how they would know how much I paid for it and the rep said they use a regional sales figure that is the same for all authorized retailers. I'll update this review when I get that check.

***Update***

July 26, 2010. Recieved the check from B&D today. I was concerned about the amount I would get but, that concern was unwarranted. The amount covered my cost completely. After this, I am more than willing to add more B&D tools to my collection. Black & Decker FS1802BNB Firestorm 18-Volt 18-Gauge Cordless Brad Nailer

I like to consider myself some what of an expert on B&D Firestorm products. I own just about all the tools from the line and am fairly happy with the performance and price of them. I've written quite a few reviews, most positive. However, this is the worst Firestorm purchase I've ever made. Straight out of the box I loaded the unit with the manufacture recommended brad nails. It fired fine on the first shot then jammed. I cleared the jam, then fired again. It jammed again, I tried a third time, then forth and so on. It continued to jam every time. I took the unit back to Lowe's and got another one...same thing happened with the second nail gun. Even the experts at Lowe's couldn't get this to fire a second nail. They tried for half an hour different things but no luck. This is why I know it wasn't just me. I was very surprised to see B&D come out with a product that simply did not work. At the time I paid $200 for this, I'm sure by now the price has come down drastically. Even so, it's not worth more than $20. I'm sorry to say but you are definitly better off with another brand.

I just got this nailer, and now I don't know how I did without it! It's not available on Amazon at this time, so I had to get it on a well known auction website. This nailer works great for my around the house trim upgrading projects (of which I have many). It loads easily, doesn't fire too loudly (it wasn't loud at all especially compared to nail guns powered by an air compressor), and it doesn't leave a mark on the wood surface other than the small hole where the nail passed thru. This nailer obviously wasn't designed for major framing type jobs, but for trimming jobs it's perfect! I can't wait to start my next project just so I can use this gun more!!! It's sweeeeeeeeeeet!!!!

Beware of this nailer because it's no longer supported by Black and Decker. I ordered this nailer and it arrived non-functioning. I drove it to the Black and Decker repair center thinking a replacement would be an easy process. They confirmed the unit was dead. They then made me aware of the fact that B&D hadn't sold that unit in 3 years and they were shocked that I had a "new" one. They had no way to replace or repair it under the 2 year factory warranty. I then called B&D to confirm this information, and this was confirmed as being correct.

This might be an excellent tool, but without a factory warranty why take the chance?

Research the B&D web site and you can see they only sell a 12volt model at this time.

I was really looking for a cordless nailer that can help me get some house jobs done. I stumbled upon this firestorm nailer from B&D at Amazon. With the reviews it was getting, I was kinda leary to buy the product but finally I decided to get one and was amazed how fast they shipped it. I got it the following day I ordered it! Next day delivery and free! Can't beat that! So to speak, I tried it and works great for my home projects, so far. I love it and makes my work easier. Too bad that not all got pleased with it according to their expectation. - Brad Nailer - Cordless Nailer - Brad Nailers - 18v Battery'
