Kindle Reading Lights
I recently purchased the new M-Edge e-Luminator book light, even though there was nothing wrong with my older version. Thank goodness I still have my older book light, because the new one is quickly becoming an annoyance. The old light has a slide on and off switch and the new light has a recessed button on the light that you touch to turn on, with 3 different light strengths. When you want to turn the light off, you must touch it all 3 times and then hold it down the fourth time and the light will turn off. Unfortunately though, the light switch is so sensitive that it will turn on even if you don't touch the on button. After the book light does this to you about 30 or 40 times, you might find yourself annoyed and ready to go back to the older, slide switch on/off book light like me. I would recommend waiting to purchase until they have the 'bugs' worked out. M-Edge e-Luminator Kindle Booklight, Graphite (Compatible Only with 2nd and Latest Generation M-Edge Kindle Covers)
After many failed attempts at finding just the right light, I finally found it. This little light is amazing! It fits perfectly in my Kindle cover, has three different light settings, is adjustable and fits nicely in the cover when the cover is closed. Just what I was looking for!
The light works perfectly and fits perfectly into the M-Edge Trip Kindle Jacket I purchase. Although the case is not meant to have the light permanently attached like some other jackets which enclose the light within - I find the light itself takes up very little space so I simply fold it down an keep it with me day or night. As for how well it illuminate the kindle it does the job well and with its three different light levels you should have no problems reading anywhere any time.
On a side note: I'm from Toronto Canada and had to purchase the light from the ".com/USA" site not the ".ca" so it cost me a little extra but I find it was well worth it for the convince of the lights size compared to the choices that where available on other canadian sites.
I knew my husband would be getting me a Kindle 3 for Mother's Day, so I purchased M-Edge Latitude Kindle Jacket (Fits 6" Display, 2nd Generation Kindle), Red w/ Blackand the M-Edge e-Luminator Kindle Booklight, White (Compatible Only with 2nd and Latest Generation M-Edge Kindle Covers) (the older version of this book light) for my Kindle 2, because I planned to give that to my daughter. I purchased the M-Edge Latitude Kindle Jacket, Red (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle) and this light for the new Kindle 3. I wanted the graphite light to match the graphite Kindle. If I'd realized then that this light was quite a bit different from the old light, I never would have purchased it.
Before Mother's Day, I used the Kindle 2 with the M-Edge e-Luminator Kindle Booklight, White (Compatible Only with 2nd and Latest Generation M-Edge Kindle Covers) for a few weeks. It was not perfect--a little bulky, maybe--but it worked well, and was a huge improvement over using an ordinary booklight that I couldn't attach to the Kindle or the case. It was bright enough and easy to position it so that there was enough light to illuminate the page.
I've tried using this new light for a few weeks now and have found it to be useless. As other reviews have mentioned, the on/off switch is touchy and annoying. I end up having to touch it several times to get it to turn on or off when I want it to, and yet, I find myself accidentally turning it on or off when I don't mean to.
Also as mentioned in other reviews, this new light is not bright enough. It's useless for reading in a very dark room. I read in bed at night while my husband is sleeping, so I need a light bright enough to illuminate the whole Kindle. Even in dim lighting, though, this light is dim enough that it makes no difference.
Another issue that I've had with this light is that the bendable part of the light is too short. The base of the light (where the AAA battery goes is less bulky than the old light, but to make up for this, it's also taller, so the bendable part of the light ends up being further away from the Kindle. When you combine the dimmer light with the shorter bendable thing, you cannot position this light to illuminate more than maybe the first few lines of the Kindle page. You *can* turn it so that the light is directly above the side of the Kindle instead of the top, but then you cannot open the case to *read* the Kindle. Even if you could, the light is so dim that it still isn't worth trying to find a workaround for that.
This light is a very poor design. I've already given the older light and case to my daughter with the Kindle 2, and I can't find the old version to buy. Amazon is out and so is every other online store I've checked. I'm stuck using my old book light that I have to either hold or set next to the Kindle (and it constantly falls over). At least it lights up the page and I can read.
I'm very disappointed in this light. I feel it was a complete waste of money. I also feel that the case was a waste of money, too, since I can't use it with this book light. I tried the old light with the new case for the Kindle 3 and it works just fine, so I'd be happy if I could find one to buy.'

Recording Media - recording media, blank cds
These disks have a blank surface, so they are good if you like to write all over. The logo is just a silver logo on a silver background. They are just as good as any other disk, and I have written many movies in VCD and DivX form on these, and they all play fine. What the one reviewer means by scratchy playback is beyond me, CDs that are not physically scratched either work or they don't work. These work in all cases. Verbatim 94554 700 MB 52x 80 Minute Branded Recordable Disc CD-R, 100-Disc Spindle
I bought these after buying TDK for the past 5 years and now only being able to get Memorex at a low price (I've had very bad experiences with Memorex CDRs in the past). These were surprisingly cheap as Verbatim is one of the highest quality blank media brands. Not surprisingly, the discs lived up to expectations on my Plextor-716A drive. I haven't tested a whole lot yet, but the ones I did test, burn flawlessly and when disc scans were run, there were no errors. You really can't go wrong with Verbatim. Just buy them.
I have had very good success with the Verbatim CD-Rs.
Before using these, I had bought some of another well known brand. The others did not work well at all for me. I had a failure rate of over 50%. With the Verbatim brand, I have not had any that failed out of about 75 tried.
I would say that this particular media is a very good product based upon my experience.
Memorex, Maxell, TDK, HP, and many other disks are behind verbatim in quality. These CD-Rs are very compatible with so many devices, they are not very sensitive to scratches, and rarely fail to burn. They can even be over burned 20-30MB without too much trouble. I have been using Verbatim for years, and these are the best in their great series of disks
Verbatim makes a very reliable blank CD-R that can handle up to 700 MB of data or 80 minutes of music. Moreover, these blank CD-Rs record data at speeds up to 52x. I have used these as data discs and discs to record video. I also get very few, if any, coasters.
The CD-R discs are compact and easy to store. While the discs are still blank, store them in the circular case on the spindle that they came in. After your burn data onto them, I would recommend storing them in slim jewel cases instead of paper sleeves. It's just better protection for your CD-Rs that have data stored on them. Don't store these discs, burnt or blank, in rooms that become very hot; this causes damage to any brand of this type of disc and you could lose data over time.
There are two caveats that many other people note about any brand of this product: when you are burning the data onto the blank disc, don't be surprised if you see that the data is burning at a rate slower than 52x. This can happen if your burner doesn't have the capacity to burn faster, or it may be a quirk. I am not a professional so I cannot be certain of precisely what causes this phenomenon; but I assure you that the extra minute or two (tops) that you wait to get your CD-R completed is worth the wait. In addition, DON'T write on these using Sharpie ink pens. The ink can seep through the top coating of the CD-R disc and compromise your data. In fact, don't write directly on these--period. You risk losing your information. Don't attach labels of any sort, either.
Overall, Verbatim blank CD-R discs store data reliably and I believe that an extra minute to burn the data onto the blank disc is well worth it.
I've only been burning CDs a little over a year. I started with the Sony brand thinking I was getting a high quality product. However, I had numerous burn failures and/or playback problems. So I checked the reviews on Sony CD-Rs. Those reviews led me to switch, and I chose Verbatim which in general seemed to be favorably rated. I bought this spindle of 100 and just used the last one. 100 of 100 of the CDs successfully burnt and played. So I ordered my second Verbatim spindle. As far as my experience with Verbatim goes, I've been VERY satisfied.
I have been burning copies of cds and my own made up music playlists for years. I've used many brands over the years with very little coaster discs meaning those that either didn't work or just wouldn't plain record. I just had an awful experiece with the Memorex cd-r discs. Out of 30 discs on average 25 did not work. I am not a novice at burning discs and know what I am doing. So I researched here on Amazon and wanted to give the Verbatim cd-rs a shot. I do most of my shopping with them for if something does not work they always provide hassle free returns. I know of no other place as amazing as Amazon. So I purchased these Verbatim cd-r discs after all my research knowing I could return them if there were problems. But I can honestly say there have been practically no problems with these. Out of 25 I have used there was 1 that did not work. For me that is fine. There is always a chance the occasional error disc will appear. But so far I have been able to make all my projects and burn cds error free.
The other great thing about Amazon is the fact that reviews by users and buyers are given such importance. Especially with items like this it is important for buyers to share their user experience. And saying that I highly recommend these discs. - Verbatim - Verbatim Cds - Blank Cds - Recording Media'

Audio Accessory - earbuds, ear buds
I use earbuds for two to four hours every day. In the past ten years I've purchased many, many different brands in search of the Holy Grail of earbuds. The three biggest problems that I have with earbuds are fit, sound quality, and longevity.
Fit - Many earbuds are simply too large to stay comfortably in my ear. I'm not a little person. I'm six feet tall, one hundred eighty pounds. Even the famous iPod earbuds are too big, and some people think they are some of the best quality earbuds available. Large earbuds are uncomfortable and they won't stay in your ear. I really like these earbuds because they fit comfortably and they don't fall out.
Sound quality - These earbuds have sound quality that is equal to or better than the most expensive earbuds that I've ever purchased.
Longevity - The biggest problem with most earbuds is that the very fine copper wire near the plug eventually breaks inside the rubber insulation due to repeated bending of the wire during normal use. This causes one or both of the speakers to lose connectivity intermittently, and eventually permanently. Every set of earbuds that I have ever owned has eventually failed in this manner, but these earbuds have lasted longer than any earbuds that I have ever purchased. I am still using the first set of earbuds that I purchased over a year ago, and that is just unheard of for me considering the use and abuse to which I submit my earbuds.
Buy these earbuds and don't look back. All of those fancy, expensive earbuds with hip sounding names and slick marketing and high prices do not offer any better performance than these. Sony Mdr-E10Lp/Blk Headphones - Fashion Earbuds (Black)
I fall asleep listening to the radio. Unfortunately, my wife is kept awake by said radio. Enter the use of earbuds. I have been through more pairs of various brands of earbuds than I can remember, though my wife would claim I wouldn't remember more than one. I recently purchased two pairs of these Sony earbuds and am extremely pleased. Their shape allows me to identify the correct channel for each ear in the dark. The cord is longer than most which gives me a larger leash to move around the bed without yanking the earbud out of my ears. Sound quality is much better than the radio I am using. And most of the time, its even comfortable to have the earbud in my ear while laying that side down on the pillow.
If I were rating these earbuds solely on the sound quality as it relates to the price, I would give it a solid 5+ stars...without a doubt, the best "bang for the buck" out there at $10 or less. I gave them 4 stars only because the fit isn't perfect. If they tapered the earbud at all and these fit better, I would go to 4.5 stars because I know that some of the real high end earbuds deliver a very rich sound and might deserve a 5 star rating.
I have purchased dozens of different lower quality earbuds under $100...and I have tried dozens more higher quality earbuds...and I would challenge anyone to find earbuds with better sound quality at a price even remotely close to the price of these earbuds. I have small ear passages and they do not fit particularly well, but what the heck...I use them on the train while commuting...at home while relaxing...or maybe in the car or at the beach. I don't use them to run, exercise or leap tall buildings in a single bound...so I don't have to worry about them falling out. I know fit is a big sticking point in many earbud reviews and rightly so. However, let's face it, the most important quality with any headphone or earbud has to do with sound...and these earbuds deliver.
I can't believe the bass is so rich. There is no tin like sound when still and the sound is not affected when moving the wires. The main wire is plenty long, as are the earbud wires which are also of equal length. I own an IPOD Classic which I take everywhere...watching movies and videos and listening to ALL different music genres. I believe the best setting with the best bass and overall sound on the IPOD is R&B...with Rock a close second. I will also add that even though the fit is not perfect in my ears, these earbuds do a fairly decent job at blocking out external noise.
I need a good sound when listening to music or it just isn't that pleasurable, but I am not dishing out $200 or more to constantly worry about something going wrong with my expensive purchase and then wrestling with Company X to get a refund or have them replaced. I am considering buying a pair of Denon AH-C751's or AH-C700's on Amazon for less than $100...both regularly $200...but I have yet to take the plunge.
So if you are in the market for an expensive pair of high quality and rich sounding earbuds, but are hesitating for one reason or the other...or if you just don't want to spend a lot of money and the fit doesn't have to be perfect...then I recommend buying a pair of Sony Fashion Earbuds to hold you over until you find the "perfect" earbuds or hit the lottery. These buds may not be the perfect fit, but the sound quality is sure to win you over...and who could possibly have a problem with the price!
I will say that I am on my second pair...the first pair lasted just over a year. At less than $10, I am not complaining! - Sony - Ear Buds - Earbuds - Earphones'

Dvi To Hdmi Cable - hdmi to dvi, hdmi
This adapter does a great job of converting hdmi to dvi. It is backwards compatible, but it is important to know that it doesn't carry sound. You can easily work around this though, because pretty much all Hdmi devices have anoter form of audio output. GREAT ITEM! Cables Unlimited ADP-3780 DVI-D Male to HDMI Female Adapter
I have a macbook pro with a DVI out. I thought it would be great to set up the macbook with my HDTV. I already had an extra HDMI, so buying this piece to hook it up cost a painless few bucks. I have my speakers plugged into the laptop, so with a wireless mouse and keyboard, this turned out fantastic. The picture quality is a lot better than I expected, and with this plugged in, I can have my laptop lid closed and comfortably browse the web or watch videos without a problem.
I bought this little converter for my older TV which did not have a newer HDMI port. Installation is easy, duh! The picture quality was fantastic as well. If you have other HDMI components and need a converter like this one, you can't go wrong.
I bought this product with the recommended hdmi cables to go with the deal and everything worked fine. I need this product to play in HD on my pc monitor from my PS3 and it worked like a dream. I can play my games in 1080p HD with no problem. It does work with pc monitors that have DVI-D outlets and that is HDCP compatible. 10/10!!!
I bought this item to run from my computer to my new 55" LED Television. I connected the DVI to my computers graphics card and ran the Hdmi to the Television. The DVI connection fit securely into the graphics card port and both screws secured nicely. The hdmi connected into the adapter securely. Overall this worked fine for my type of connection and i currently get 1080p, 1920x1080 resolution.
I bought this product to hook my Xbox 360 up to my new HP LCD monitor, because my monitor doesn't have HDMI imput. Te picture quality is very good when playing games, and I can't complain about that. One issue is when I tried to use Netflix on my xbox, it wouldn't work, because the converter doesn't carry the protected netflix signal (cant think of the name of it) to prevent piracy, so I was unable to watch it. This wasn't a hug deal, because my PC is hooked up to the same monitor, it was just kind of annoying. The connection is also a little shaky sometimes, and it will black out with I turn the monitor. These things aren't a huge deal, and for the price, you can't beat this adapter. I went looking for a HDMI to DVI cord in radioshack, and it would have set me back $50, so this is a much better alternative
I first went to Radio Shack to buy this "one dollar" adapter. They wanted forty bucks for it - I'm not kidding.
In that sense I truly love this adapter!
It seems to work fine for me. One caution: I have not tested audio through it, so I cannot comment one way or the other.
These are great to have around for the digital emergency hookups. if your a geek like me youre going to need one or two down the line, it works perfect and you really cant beat the the price. i bought two for my HP LP3065c monitor thinking i could hook my PS3 and XBOX 360 up to it but it didnt work. but i did use the adapters for something else and worked like a charm.
This is a perfect adapter for those that have older monitors with just dvi and vga ports. My new pc has only dvi and hdmi ports, but since I'm a 3d animator I need two monitors for all of the windows and this did just that for me. If your looking for a dual monitor set-up with your pc it'll do it. - Dvi To Hdmi Cable - Hdmi To Dvi - Hdmi - Playstation 3'

Bicycle Trailer - bicycle trailer, trailers
I chose this trailer because I have a very active two and a half year old little boy, and I was worried about the stabilty of one of those chairs that attach to the seat of your bike. I liked this trailer for its smaller size and that it is fairly light and seemed fairly sturdy, okay now here is how it did.
SET UP: was very easy, instructions where pretty clear, and most was commonsense. The only thing I had a little trouble with was loosening the bolt on the bike to attach the trailer, so if you have an older bike this part might require a little more muscle.
THE RIDE: I took the trailer on a 5 mile test drive today, the trail was paved, but very bumpy due to root growth breaking through the pavement, over wooden bridges, and up quite a few hills. The trailer did well over the bumps just don't take rough terrain fast. Turning the corners onto the bridges presented a challenge, I would have to dismount the bike and lift the back tire to slide the trailer enough to get it onto the bridge. If it where any larger I would not have been able to take it on the trail. Hills where impossible for me at this time, the slight inclines I could handle, but hills are tough on a bike to begin with, but add 40+ lbs and it becomes VERY hard, I have fairly strong legs but I had to walk the bike and trailer up the steep hills.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are doing any amount of hills your breaks on your bike will need to be replaced a lot sooner, it was hard to keep a decent pace with the trailer going down hill, and my brakes where screaming the whole way.
When you go up and down road curbs you have to take them SLOWLY, and when you kick off to start peddling use your right foot, the left will get caught under the hitch bar and you will end up with bruised heels and ankles and ruin your sneakers.
MAJOR CONS: I really don't like the way the front mesh is set up, the back tires kicks dirt up into the trailer and by the time we where done with our ride my son was covered with dirt, and I was on pavement the whole time. It does come with a clear rain cover but if you use that there are no vents and the inside gets way too hot.
Overall Im pleased with the cart, It does what i need it too. Also, on another review someone mentioned that you can't ajust the sag on the bottom, and you can- the straps are just under the "seat" you can tighten them up all the way and it creates more of a seat look instead of just a big dip. Though I am still trying to find out if it can recline, my sons head was bobbling everywhere once he fell asleep.
Also, I can't see two kids fitting and being comfortable for any length of time; unless your kids get along great and don't mind their shoulders touching.
I also can't see the material lasting long with regular use, it is a cheap plastic pretend canvas that looks a little flimsy, so long as it holds up it is a good deal, once mine gives out I will probably go for a better one, but this one is great for the price. InStep Take 2 Double BicycleTrailer
I bought this so I could take my 3 year old with me on bike rides. She loves it. I have used it non-stop since receiving it. It is well made. Love that it has room in the back for extra items. It has an orange flag so it can be seen. I've rode over miles of gravel roads and she said it was bumpy, but still enjoyed the ride. I am very happy with this purchase.
Ok first the good things about this trailer:
1. Price
2. Space for additional storage behind the seat which doesn't bother your kid(s)
3. Can fit two kids, but also has a "center" seat if it's only one kid
4. Easy to install on the bike
5. Light to carry
6. Good looking ( i love the blue color it comes in )
7. Anti-mosquitos and rain covers
The issues we see:
1. It has a soft bottom, so we're worried that he might hit something from the ground if we go over a rock or something. So we have to be really careful
2. It's wide, of course for two kids, which means its hard to go on small sidewalks.
3. It can get warm inside it, my baby was sweating today after a long ride, but we live in Miami so i guess its expected
The best thing is that it is lots of fun to go out with the little one with our bikes! totally worth it!
My husband and I had been planning a family bike trip on the east coast to see fall colors. But when we found out how much it would have cost to ship our Burley trailer to/from San Jose, CA to Hartford, CT, we opted to purchase this InStep Double Trailer strictly for the trip. We have two kids, 4 and 3 years old and our plan was to put them both in the trailer and our gear as well. We knew it might be tight, but we felt it was worth a try and, if necessary, we'd purchase something additionally. (This would still have been cheaper then shipping our equipment to/from San Jose.) The InStep box was waiting for us at the bike shop and putting the trailer together went quickly. The plastic wheels weren't very hardy, in my opinion, and we'd run into trouble if we pumped them up to more than the recommended 35lbs. The main problem was the lack of storage capacity in the back. We did end up having to rent additional equipment in order for us to fit our gear. That said, it would probably work fine for quick jaunts and around town trips. Two is snug, but doable. But I'm not sure if two passengers and groceries in the back could work, like it does with the Burley. - Cycling - Trailers - Child Bike Trailer - Bicycle Trailer'

Iphone 4 Case - iphone 4, otterbox defender
I waited anxiously for Otterbox to release this case and ordered mine within minutes of receiving the "Defender Released" e-mail. I received the case on Friday and I must admit, it did not disappoint.
First impressions: The case is of great quality and a lot of detail went into making it compatible with all the OEM "accessories". The holster is among the best I've seen for a phone of this size and works perfectly with the case.
After carrying it for two days (and this is already my 3rd iPhone 4 case - I am rough on my phones): The case is without a doubt the most durable I've seen for the iPhone 4 and lives up to the reputation that Otterbox has built over the years.
Cons: The case does add considerable bulk to the phone and may not be perfect for pocket carriers. It does include a holster which works great and can rotate for vertical or parallel carrying of the phone.
Miscellaneous: I have no complaints really, but I am left to wonder if the silicone "flaps" that cover the earphone and USB plug-ins could have been a little more user-friendly. Sometimes they are frustrating to get back into their proper "closed" position.
Edited one month after using: I am still extremely happy with the case. I have dropped my phones a few times already and though the case is starting to show signs the abuse I have provided it the phone still looks pristine! I opened up the case this morning to clean the phone etc and to my surprise there wasn't much to clean. With cases I've owned in the past I would have a forest of lint, dust etc. that would trap itself between the case and the phone. The Otterbox has minimized that debris!
I am uploading several photos showing the difference between a "bare" iPhone 4 and an iPhone 4 in the Defender case so everyone can get an idea of how much "protection" and in turn "bulk" this case adds to the phone.
Edited to add: Amazon removed my pictures when the placed the phone back in a "pre-order" status, I will re-upload them again once they allow. I'm not sure why they state "pre-order" when it should state "Back-ordered, will deliver in xx to xx weeks", but I digress. OtterBox Defender Case for iPhone 4 (White and Black, Fits AT&T iPhone)
Otterbox defender for my iPhone 3Gs was the best thing I ever did for that phone! It fell into and was completely submerged in a 5 gallon pot of BBQ sauce - and rinsed off with the sprayer in the sink. Phone continued to operate flawlessly!
As soon as I bought iPhone 4 - I immediately ordered an otterbox case for it. It took over a month to arrive and when it finally did - I could immediately tell it did not offer the same amount of protection as the Otterbox for the 3Gs.
I'm constantly fighting the rubber covering -- if I pull it out of my pocket I have to push it back into place all the way around the phone.
The screen protector is better -- the bubbles are gone from the previous version. I like that.
The flaps that cover the charger port and headphone jack suck! They never stay in place and to get them to lock down is a pain. Debris can easily infiltrate into the case through these openings. I find that I have to take the phone completely out of the case and clean the phone and the case more often than I ever did with the other phone/otterbox.
Maybe they were just in a hurry to get a case that would fit the quick arrival of iPhone4. I hope the case is revamped and the thought is completed. I really need and want the kind of protection and rugged durability that the other case provided for 3Gs.
Regardless of what I hate about this case, it's still the BEST case that you can put on the new iPhone 4 if you're hard on your phone. Just wish it was better...
**** 02/12 update: I bought an AT&T case to get one fast at a discount and it works fine until the price drops on the universal case. The Verizon silent mode button is partially covered so if you use silent mode a lot and have big fingers, you might want to wait or buy from the manufacturer. The headphone jack doesn't align quite right with my Verizon phone, but just open the silicone port. And now this is a genuine five star review. I really like this case. It is sturdy and protective, looks stylish, feels comfortably grippy and it was easy to install the phone. Box directions are minimal but Otterbox has a simple video that takes you through it. *****
I just called Otterbox and a very nice lady in Customer Service says they have a universal design ready to fit both AT&T and Verizon phones, to be released 02/10/11. I suppose Amazon will have these as well. Hope they do all the same colors.
Important to know because the Verizon iPhone has some ports and controls in a slightly different place than its AT&T sister and this case would not fit both phones.
Just thought you should know. Glad I did some research before I bought this one. Yes, I know this isn't a real review but not everyone reads comments. At least I'm not one of those tiresome people who posts a one star review because something went wrong with the shipping. - Case - Defender - Iphone 4 - Otterbox Defender'

Paslode Nailer
I have had framing guns from Bostich , Senco and Hitachi. This is my favorite so far. I still Have the Hitachi. Earlier this year I needed an O ring for it . No one locally carried the part ,so I ordered it. In the mean time I had to get another gun. Tools of the trade rated the Paslode #1 in Two different tests. One last year and another one recently. I already buy the nails it uses for my impulse gun . It seemed to be a good choice so I thought I would try it out. I am very well pleased. It is a well made tool. Very solidly built and it performs flawlessly. It has more power than I expected (always a plus). You will appreciate the rubber grip and the adjustable exhaust as much as I do. Add the easy depth of drive adjustment and you have the best nailer on the market. An added bonus is the nails it uses. They are collated with glue and paper. This combo is the best I have seen . Drop them get them wet , whatever it won't matter. They stay intact , unlike the other gun nails that use paper , plastic or wire collation. They are very tough and that is very good for us. If you can use clipped head nails in your area don't waste time on another nailer. Buy a Paslode. Paslode 501000 F-350S PowerMaster Plus Pneumatic Framing Nailer
When I started framing we had an older silver looking Paslode gun that felt like it weighed a ton (chuckle), and a brand new one that felt like you were using a finish nailer (it was light in comparison). Both guns shot nails extremely well. In fact, they were more dependable than the other brands that were available on the jobsite (Hitachi & Senco).Since somebody decided to liberate me from my Porter-Cable FC-350, I decided to go back to my beginnings and purchased this Paslode gun. I do not feel that my choice was flawed at all. You've got to make sure that your pressure and the depth adjustment are in tandem or you will have overdrives or stand-offs. This is the case with any nail gun though.I'd always recommend Paslode guns to anyone who would ask. Besides, I'd rather use paper collated nails too.
I have used and owned all kinds of framing nailers. This one is the berries! Read ToolPig's review. And Hey! Guess what? Paslode makes full-head nails to shoot from this gun. Surprised? I was.You can not beat this gun for performance, price, or utility.Just wish I could get paid for saying this.
I purchased this air nailer several months ago but only in the last 2 weeks have I put it through its paces by building a 30X14 boat shed. I went through several boxes of nails without a jam. The gun is well made and easy to use. Double firing is not problem and in those areas where I had to really reach out I installed the single shot trigger in a few seconds and went about my business. The company sends the single fire trigger free when you return a card included in the box. Reloading is a dream and the nailer fits the hand very well. I have only 2 complaints: One, the gun is louder than I expected it would be and is louder than most other brands I have used. Two, I emailed the factory with a question and apparently they have better things to do than email a customer back because I never heard back from them . . . very poor public relations I think. Overall, a well made air nailer.
I BOUGHT THE PASLODE POWERMASTER PLUS WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT IN THE FALL OF 1997 AND HAVEN'T BEEN DISAPPOINTED SINCE. THIS GUN IS VERY VERSATILE AND THE LIGHT WEIGHT MAKES IT A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. YOU CAN USE IT FOR FRAMING, DECKS, SUBFLOOR AND ROOF SHEETING WITH EASE. IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF A FRAMING GUN THAT IS COMPRESSOR POWERED THIS ONE IS BY FAR YOUR BEST BET, YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE EITHER. GO OUT AND BUILD SOMETHING WITH ONE!!
This was my first framing nailer, and I lucked out with a good one. It can get right between studs on a 16" OC. I have never had a problem with it. The gun is powerful -no problems sinking nails. - Comfortable and well balanced. It is a little loud and has some recoil, although not as much as my full-head nailor. No jams so far. The light weight won't wear you out either. I don't think you can go wrong with this gun.
As the owner of a professional custom wood crating shop, we fire 1000's of nail monthly. This is by far the worst product we have ever used. It came miss firing and not firing from day one. Our supplier thought we were crazy, but upon checking w/ the factory it was discovered to have a Paslode known problem. (The old nieve corporate mentality - getting the customers $$ and worry about it later)It was updated and repaired several times, but continues to not fire and blow air either from the head or trigger (apparently from poor fitting internals). We can not deal with this piece of junk. It's headed to the dump.....
I recently purchased the Framemaster 400 and am very happy with it's performance. Of particular note is the gun's light weight; very strong driving power and, it's versatility. I have used the gun for both internal and external framing, and to fix decking. I recently purchased the Paslode no mar tip which is perfect for those jobs were you don't want to mar the timber - eg decking. I intend to purchase the attachment so that you can hang the gun on rafters and joists. I run a small 10cfm direct drive compressor (it's light and small) which seems to have no trouble keeping up with the gun. The gun also has depth adjustment at the tip - very handy !There is a good range of nails available, both galvanised and bright, at fairly reasonable prices. If I had to find a a fault, it is only that (and this may be unique to Australia) that the gun does not come with a case.
My company builds several houses each year and many decks each spring and summer so I work my framing gun hard. This is the third brand of nailer I have owned and with this one I finally got it right. I almost bought this one last time I purchased a gun and always wished I had. The guys I worked alongside all winter long in extreme conditions had paslodes and they worked in the cold and sand while my dewalt needed new o-rings twice. I have always enjoyed the balance and low recoil of this gun and it toenails better than any other gun. Now that they added the wonderful rafter hook, this gun is priceless, and it is the least expensive on the market. Paslode also makes a roundhead nail for this gun for those of you in areas where code requires that. What a winner. 5 stars for sure.'

Cell Phone Charger - ipod charger, cell phone charger
This is a compact unit that I use to charge my cell phone and Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS using the two DC outlets, and to charge my Ipod Nano and Palm TX using the two USB outlets. I purchased a DC outlet extension cord at Radio Shack, and plug the charger into this so that I can position the charger right next to my seat.
I have tried various other chargers, and this is the most convenient one that I have found. In addition, the charger's capacity is sufficient to handle all of my gadgets being charged simultaneously.
Update July 22, 2009: Some months ago I replaced my Palm TX with an iPod Touch 2G. This unit charges it just fine using the same USB cable that I use to charge the Touch on my laptop.
Update August 23, 2009: I now charge my new BlackBerry Tour on this unit.
Update October 10, 2010: I just ordered my third unit--not because I had a problem with the other two, but because I wanted one for each car. Three years later my original unit is working just fine, as is the secind unit that I purchased a year after that. This is definitely a quality product that has performed well and held up well.
Update December 3, 2010: I just received my fourth unit that I am giving to one of my children to use in their car. This is a quality unit, and I have not had any problems with any of the units that I have bought. Multi-Use Vehicle Charger with Dual USB Ports and Dual 12 Volt Sockets - Magnadyne
This device is really helpful not just for road warriors, but the average person who may have quite a number of devices that can be powered/charged by USB. It can handle and is fused at 20 amps.
I have two. On is 8 months old, the other about four months. You do not need to direct wire, but it is easy and in both my vehicles they are directly wired. One went to the front cigarette lighter wiring (about a 10 minute install) meaning I have a net of three cigarette lighter 12v outlets, plus two USB limited to 15 amps of the supporting OEM cigarette lighter fuse. In my second vehicle I have it direct wired to the battery main bus with an inline fuse (from an inexpensive $20 car amplifier power supply wiring kit). That was about 40 minute install. They can support a high powered laptop, treo, navigation unit, dvd player for the kids in back, and also charge an ipod or bluetooth set -- all concurrently. It is also not difficult to open up the device and and use the 5v leg to run a direct 5v usb for hardwiring nav units.
The USB 5 volts is pretty clean and accurate checking with load on car start I am getting 5.1v and it settles at 4.95v, all well within tolerances for any usb device.
[...]
this is exactly what any blackberry, ipodding tuning road-warrior needs. dual 12v and 5v usb...genius.
my only hitch is that it takes a few seconds to buffer the power to the USB ports. My blackberry 7130e didnt start charging until a few seconds after the charger was plugged in. It works so im not concerned.
the usb ports have enough power to charge any USB device you can throw at it. I used this to supplement a high-speed portable hard drive that needed more power than my ultra portable laptop could supply it. so one plug went to PC usb for data and the other went to this baby and i was mint.
Love the mounting equipment. velcro or screw mount..your choice!
Cables and construction are solid and wire is heavy guage so it wont over heat under high load.
BUY IT NOW
Product is well built and easy to mount. Despite its sturdy construction, none of the ports are adequately filtered electronically. Consequently, if you want to keep your mp3 player charging while listening to music, forget it! The unit picks up engine noise which plays through the speakers. So, as a charger, it works perfectly and is well made but..using it while listening to music: absolutely not. 4 stars for quality, 2 stars for poor noise filtering.
Nice product... not much to say. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the springy (+) tip to plug into my car's socket isn't very springy, and at first the thing wouldn't stay in the socket. I intend to hardwire though. For that purpose, the included cable is a little short (about 40") if you need to custom route it. Otherwise it's a nice length. The product easily opens up and it looks like a power cord replacement is a simple solder job even for a novice like myself. I'm also impressed that they put an extra fuse on the inside of the device in case someone tries to put a bigger fuse into the thing to get more power.
Looks like a very well constructed product for the price.
As my review title explains, this will power the latest generations of iPod via the USB port. I successfully tried both a synching cable and a "charging only" cable.
A very solidly constructed and useful product for the money. I mounted the adapter in the change tray in my '05 Ford Focus using the bracket and screws, hard-wiring it into the power outlet wiring. It has worked perfectly since day one for both my usb and 12 volt adapters.
It has an external 20 amp micro fuse. Note that for most cars, 20 amps is more than the 12 volt adapter socket can provide, so you may want to hard-wire it into an appropriately rated circuit if you need that much power. In my car, the socket circuit is rated at only 15 amps, but I won't be using it to power inverters or the like, so it is not an issue.
Two minor quibbles:
The red led is very bright, as most led's on adapters tend to be nowadays. Since it's mounted below eye level in my car, it's not a distraction, but at eye level I'd find a way to cover it.
Also, the led cannot be turned off. Since, in my car, the power outlet is always powered, so is the adapter, and the led. Fortunately, the adapter draws less than 20 milliamps (yes, I measured it) when not providing power, so the overall drain is very low. It would be nice to have an on/off switch for the times that the car will not be driven for several days. - Cell Phone Charger - Dual Car Adapter - Car Chargers - Ipod Charger'

Laptop Accessory - laptop, bluetooth mouse
This is a very nice novelty mouse. I say novelty because of the following reasons:
Pros:
+Fairly inexpensive. (I got mine for $18.10 [shipping included]).
+Compact and lightweight.
+Easy to recharge (provided your notebook has a ExpressCard/54 Slot).
+Built-in red laser pointer.
+Have the option to use the mouse elevated; Flip-Out Kickstand(45 degree angle) or flat.
+Has the ability to scroll down/up webpages via a touch-sensitive scroll pad.
+Does not have a visible optical mouse light. (allows you to save "some battery power")
Cons:
-Retail packaging lacks any manual or instruction pamphlet.
-To charge the mouse, your notebook/laptop needs a ExpressCard/54 Slot.
-The mouse will only charge if your notebook/laptop is on. (it won't charge in sleep/hibernation mode)
-3.7V 70mAh battery (equates to very low battery life.)
-Very cheap design. (the entire mouse is bonded together by adhesives and fused plastic)
-If you're using one mouse for 2 computers, you have to manually pair the mouse. (not difficult, but very tedious)
-Due to its awkwardly flat and square design, this mouse is not for your avid gamer.
-There is no on/off/standby button/switch.
If you're using a notebook/laptop, this mouse is definitely far better than using a trackpad/tracknub. If you are a frequent notebook/laptop user, there are far better, cheaper, and longer lasting (battery wise) mice out there. If you want a rechargeable laser pointer with a built-in mouse, this is for you. HP Mogo Bluetooth X54 Presenter Travel Mouse for Laptops
I love this mouse it is great for the person on the go because you do not need to buy batteries or make sure that you have room to carry. The other nice thing is if you have Bluetooth V2.1 on you computer the mouse will still pair up even though the mouse its self is V2.0. Great for school work home or the person on the go. I recommend it for any one who has a laptop with the Express card 54 slot.
I am in meetings 70% of my day and use my Logitech Nano as my main laptop mouse. I purchased this Mogo mouse for when I do presentations or don't want to drag my nano with me to conference rooms. The Mogo built in laser pointer is great, buttons work fine in presentation mode, but when using the Mogo mouse as a standard mouse it does not even come close to the feel of a real mouse. It does not move as smoothly or fluidly as a real mouse, but this Mogo gets the job done.
Overall, great mouse for presentations / short meetings but not for all day use.
great product overall. sometimes can be a little sketchy when using the mouse. seems to be when the battery is low.
we bought 10 of them for work, everybody that has one LOVES it, everybody that doesn't is jealous :-)
I got this because my friend had one, which seems to work OK. The one I got works well as a wireless optical mouse but hard to use as a remote control for presentation software. The built-in laser pointer did not work at all.
I used the PCcard mouse until my company replace my laptop. The new one have the x54 slot. So I purchase this one and I'm very happy with this.
It is ready once I take out of the slot and it feels good and precision pointer. The scroll function is good unless a bit more sensitive of what I want. I did receive the mouse only with no software to install or download so I don't know if the sensitive can be adjusted. The third button for the mouse is very close to he edge and I needed some time to get used to it.
I will continue searching for a driver to this mouse that allows me to control the sensitivity and I might update this review in the future. For now it is not as bad to get one less star.
Once you change the mode to presenter you are able to use the pointer laser and the optics is tuned off. I have found this very useful to do my presentations.
I had a hard time at first trying to get this mouse to connect to my HP laptop. After some trial and error I got it to work perfectly. I discovered that my built-in Bluetooth was version 1.x hardware. Even with the latest BT drivers, the mouse would not connect. As luck would have it, I had also purchased an "IOGear USB 2.1 Bluetooth Micro Adaptor" for a different project. To make a long story short, I disabled the built-in BT and installed the micro adaptor and then everything started to work fine. The only other thing worth saying is that Bluetooth mice and keyboards don't usually need a pairing code, so you can choose the option to not use a code. Considering the fact that my laptop is more than 5 years old, spending $12 for the new BT adaptor didn't seem too bad. Also I now have the option to activate my WiFi hardware and BT hardware seperately.
To use the mouse in presentation mode which activates the laser pointer and disables the mouse function, press the Mode/Connect button on the bottom of the mouse. The light on top of the mouse turns red and the laser works, as well as the right and left buttons. The right button advances a step and the left button reverses a step. The scrolling feature seems to be disabled in this mode. - Bluetooth Mouse - Laptop - Bluetooth - Mogo'

Telephone Accessories - vtech, replacement battery
These batteries have worked great for several months now. I would definitely buy these again. I thought we might have to throw away our old cordless phones but decided to see if inexpensive replacement batteries existed as the phones themselves are pretty cheap and wouldn't be worth buying expensive batteries for, kind of like the price of ink cartridges costing as much as a new, cheap printer. Then I found these and we saved some real money! Shipping and packaging was fine. Nickel Cadmium Cordless Phone Battery For V-Tech 80-5074-00-00
I bought this to replace a similar one on my vtech phone that was dieing. It fit perfectly into the phone and works fine. I hesitate to give it 5 stars on battery life cos I've only had it now for less than 2 months and don't know for sure if its going to have longevity. But so far I don't have any complaints.
I have several vtech phone that the batteries were dying in. I bought two of these batteries and they both came with enough charge to try out both phones. I charged them up overnight and they work great! They stay on almost all day without recharging and the actual talk time is phenomenal! If you want a great battery at an awesome price, look no further!
The old batteries in my phones were just not holding a charge anymore. These new batteries seem to have given both of my poor old phones an new lease on life. I bought them about two months ago and they are working great so far. They were delivered as advertised in about three days from ordering. I could not have asked for more.
I give the battery 4-stars for being a decent battery, and I give myself only 1-star for being such an idiot and not checking the amperage rating. The battery I removed from the phone is a very large 2000 ma battery which fits properly. This new battery is only 400 ma, and is so small it rattles around (about 50% the size of the old one). I should have looked at the photo more carefully, and I should have bought a battery that lists the amps. All that being said, the battery arrived pre-charged, and holds a charge okay, just don't expect to talk for too long.
A very minor problem with the order which was ironed out immediatly by the vendor. Completly satisfied my inquiry on the first appeal although the problem wasn't even their fault. Could not ask for better service. - Vtech Phone Battery - Replacement Battery - Phone Batteries - Vtech'

Folding Knife - pocket knife, folding knife
I have hundreds of tactical folders to compare this knife to and it stands up superbly. It's build quality is outstanding, opens quickly and easily, quality of the steel is adequate, the blade shape is attractive and useful, the grip is comfortable and much improved over earlier version (they had sand paper, current version has thin rubber inserts), and Kershaw's service and support is perfect.
In my duty use in the military, I have used Blurs for several years and they always impress. For $55 you should buy several and give them as heirloom gifts. Other knives with these features and opening speed, including automatics like Microtech and ProTech, will cost three times as much. A great knife that will last forever with care.
It took me a minute to understand the right way to open this knife, it's not like the Chive or Leek. Once I did, OH YEAH; just push straight forward with your thumb and this thing is Black Lightning. The grip is such that you could hold onto the knife if it was covered in grease. I love all of Ken Onion's designs but this is the best one yet from Kershaw.
Fun, cool, outstanding, fast, well built, ok ok I get it on with the review.
Best Tactical folder I own. here's why
Upside;
1. Fastest assisted opener I've seen. A little thumb pressure on the really well crafted thumb studs and "smack". Opens in a "blur".
2. Blade stregth is superb. Arrives sharp, stays sharp, and cuts with ease.
3. Perfect size. Extremely comfertable in the hand.
4. The grip is very good. An almost soft rubbery silicone grip tape along the outside will not allow you to let go.
5. Pre drilled holes for tip up or tip down carry.
6. If you get the Blur with the partially serrated edges, the serrations are wicked sharp.
7. Well built, put it through abuse fella's just don't get stupid with it.
Downside;
1. Thumb jimping is pretty weak, however, the grip tape works.
2. The pocket clip is reallllly tight. Tough to draw from the pocket without bringing your pocket with it.
Overall, I own several, buy it. Its great. It is the one knife I take everyday on duty. I refuse to leave my patrol car without it. Good job Kershaw.
To be honest I was a little taken a back by its size out of the box. This is a serious blade, at first I was really hesitant to wear it in public. I've since gotten use to it. No one has made any comments about it being over the top. This being said, I live in the county side where carrying a large pocket knife is not abnormal.
Two months in, my initial unease has faded. This is a fantastic knife, the grip feels natural and sure, even when wet. It's faster and more reliable than any switch blade could be, and it's legal. It keeps its edge very well, opens perfectly, every time and hypothetically speaking it will do the job if you're ever in a dark alley and need to make a point about the cons of mugging a perfect stranger.*****
It's a beautiful and effective tool, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a larger sized, quick opening pocket knife.
*Two months into owning this knife, I was attacked and put to the ground in a choke hold, when my hand found this knife, you have no idea how relived I was. It opened perfectly and quickly with one hand,
(I was pinned face down) All it took was a minor cut to get the guy off me, I was able to hold him off until help arrived.
For those of you who think it can't happen, be prepared.
this is a very fast assisted open knife. the handles have non slip inserts that are very comfortable. you just have to keep in mind that this s the high carbon model and it will rust very quickly if not oiled frequently. all around great knife and shaving sharp out of the box.
I have owned several Kershaw folders over many years. There is no question that this knife is a great tool, but just knowing some differences might make it a better fit. The clip holds like crazy! so if you are pulling it in and out of your pocket all day it takes some getting used to. The handle texture is like nothing else I've seen, very unlikely to slip out of your hand. But if you put your hand in your pocket it will rub against and that can be irritating. I like that the point is not as narrow as other Kershaws, way more robust. To reiterate, this review is all positive and this knife will perform in every way. I would buy this knife again.
I have owned many knives over the years but this one has to be the best. I also own the Leek and Scallion. I would rank them in order with Blur best, Scallion 2nd and Leek 3rd. They are all better than all the other brands I own. The Blur just fits the hand so well and it is big and solid enough to do all the hard outside work I put it through. It holds an edge better than most and I use the clip for money as I don't like it hanging from the clip and can get to it much easier in my pocket. The speed safe on this is great. I have put this knife through it all summer now using it from cutting cabbage, broccoli, and other veggies out of the garden to edging my sidewalk with it, and every other job imaginable. I throw it in the sink with the dishes and wash it along with the rest. I have sharpened it one time and it has held that edge very well. I can't imagine a more useful knife and I highly recommend it. - Knife - Pocket Knife - Edc - Folding Knife'

Touch Screen Phone - smartphone, blackberry storm
I got an email from Verizon today. It says I am eligible for my "New every Two". I will have a nice new phone before the week is over.
I got my first Blackberry (the Curve) two years ago. I absolutely loved it! I told my husband it would be the last phone I ever had (as he shook his head, yeah right). But this review is not about the Curve, it is about the Storm- so here goes.
When I saw all the commercials and ads for the Storm, I was excited, since the iPhone was not available to me as a Verizon customer (and I am a Mac user). I researched and compared the two phones, and found they both had pros and cons of their own, but were fairly comparable depending on what you wanted it for.
Last Mother's Day, my husband came home with a brand new Blackberry Storm for me- paying... (and please don't shake your heads and roll your eyes- IT WAS MY GIFT!)... paying FULL RETAIL PRICE for it. Okay, so I thought of returning it... but I really was looking forward to using it, plus I was the only person I knew who had one! I gave my Curve to my husband. After the one month honeymoon of loving all the features and apps.... it takes great pictures and looks slick.... the honeymoon ended (of course it was also after the return window was no longer an option.)
The first thing I realized I hated was if you were talking hands-free by resting the phone between your shoulder and ear, the screen would depress and either mute or put the other party on speaker. I paid for an app to fix this (BerrySlider). In August, less than 3 months after owning this phone, I would hit the green talk button and the camera would start up; I would hit the lock button on top and the camera would start up; I would dial "one" for voicemail and the camera would start up. So I paid the 70 or so dollars for my "copay" under the warranty to have a new one sent to me. Great!
The new Storm worked great for about another month (although I still had the issue of not being able to rest the phone between my ear and shoulder, and I was getting tired of spending money on it, so I didn't repurchase the BerrySlider). Now my issue is that it freezes. CONSTANTLY. Let me repeat that. CONSTANTLY. It will work fine, then I'll get a phone call that I can't answer because I have the stupid ticking clock symbol in the middle of the screen. Let me also say that I do update my phone when it calls for an update, not that I think it has helped! I clear my internet cache, cookies and history as well.
I went into a Verizon store last month with a friend who was purchasing a new phone. She needed her work email address, which I have stored in my contacts. Guess what? It froze when I tried to go to contacts. I put my phone on the counter and told the rep it was the worst phone EVER. He said I just had too many things on the screen, so he moved a bunch of apps (like Facebook, Amazon, [...], Maps, etc) to the Downloads folder. Yeah, okay. Guess what? It seems to freeze even more now. I am now at the point where I am pulling my battery out AT LEAST once a day.
Would I recommend a Blackberry to anyone? Definitely! Would I recommend the Storm? Not to my worst enemy. If you don't believe me, check out the reviews on Verizon's own website. There are only a few that gave good ratings, and many owned it from one day to less than a month. I've put up with two of them in the past nine 1/2 months.
As for my "New Every Two", I am probably going to go with the Motorola Droid. I've owned Motorolas in the past and was not impressed, but it has great reviews, and I have a friend who has one and LOVES it, which says a lot to me. Hopefully, I will too!
Pros:
Sleek
Touchscreen (but nowadays, so many are!)
Pictures look great, especially on the big screen
The music player sounds really good
Lots of memory with the included 8mb mini SD card
Cons: It freezes constantly
Typing is not easy. I use landscape, which is easier, but it's still not great.
Software glitching a lot
Phone doesn't always ring, or freezes when you try to answer
Hopefully, this review helped. I'm a little sad to switch from Blackberry, plus their forums are great (Crackberry), but RIM, you lost me after the nightmare this Storm has been. I'm ready to try something new....
Now if I can just figure out what to do with this ridiculously expensive phone when I switch it out...... BlackBerry Storm 9500 Unlocked Phone with 3.15 MP Camera (Black)
Well, i purchased this item about a month and a half ago. At fist, I wanted to use it with my att company and it didnt work at all because Att doesnt offer this phone, but anyways, three days ago i came home ¨"Venezuela" for a family emergency, so i brough the phone with me to use while im down here, and now the phone is presenting problems with the battery, which i thought it was new, i guess not and the screen doesnt either, Im extremely disatisfaced with this phone and i want to get in contact with the company I bought it from because it isnt possible that in less than 2 months the phone is falling apart.
I am looking forward to hear back from you guys as soon as possible. Blackberry storm 9500
thanks

Screen Protector - case, motorola droid
I recently changed the case on my droid from the Seidio Innocase to the otter box. The Seidio case is a great case. Fits well and feels great in your hands. Its made out of a non slip plastic that is really nice. I had no complaints with it, but I wanted to get something that offered a bit more protection. So I got the otter box and I am not disappointed!
The otter box has two main differences over the Seidio case. First, it has a rubber lining covered by plastic for the main case. The rubber cradles the phone and is exposed on the sides which should provide more impact cushining. The top cover is very similar to the Seidio case and probably offers the same protection as the Seidio case.
Secondly, it has plugs for the charging and ear hone jacks. This is great since I keep my phone in my pocket and dust gets it the ports. It also has rubber buttons that go over the volume, camera, and unlock buttons providing some protection and more importantly, making it easier to use the buttons! The seidio case blocks the buttons a bit.
The only negative to the otter box is that it does not have the same non slip feel to it as the Seidio and is a tad bulkier.
So the bottom line is that if you are looking for the most protection, go for the otter box. Otherwise the Seidio case is cheaper and feels better and does offer some protection. Otterbox Commuter Case for the Motorola Droid [Retail Packaging]
I got my Otterbox last Wednesday and have had it on my phone for about a week now...
Honestly, this is the best cell phone case I've ever seen, or owned for that matter. The fit and finish are perfect, very snug and very secure. The rounded corners and the high quality materials used in construction give the phone a great 'finished' feel, very solid. The power/sleep, volume and camera buttons all line up perfectly and make them much easier to use, especially the power/sleep. The covered ports are lined up dead on as well and do a great job of keeping dust and dirt out. The slider works flawlessly and is not hindered at all by the case... It slides open smooth and clicks back into place perfectly. Both the top and bottom pieces fit snug and secure; no issues at all with either feeling loose or coming off. Both feel like an integrated part of the phone.
Essentially, I love this case... highly recommended.
What a disappointment. After only a few weeks, the top piece of this case cracked with only a small amount of pressure. Below is the email I received from customer support. Needless to say, I would have thought Otter box would have pulled the product after this sort of thing was discovered. I grew up in Ft Collins and have always loved otterbox, this has seriously made me question buying one of their products EVER again.
OtterBox® has been diligently investigating our Commuter Series® case for the DROID/Milestone by Motorola. Some customers were experiencing case breakage around the top of the case, even after receiving replacement units. Following the evaluation of several devices we have found that those released over the past 2-3 months, after the design of our case, have variability in the top touchscreen portion of the device. Due to estimated industry lifecycle statistics, OtterBox will not be making changes to our case design. If you would like a refund we would be happy to accommodate you. We appreciate your understanding, and apologize for any inconvenience.
To proceed with a refund, please print this e-mail and send along with the damaged case to:

When I first bought my droid, I needed a case and the only case they had in the Verizon store was the BODY GLOVE. It was a terrible case. Made my phone feel flimsy but it was actually the case that was moving around whenever I would slide open the keyboard.
I just got the Otterbox, and it is AWESOME. It is really sleek so my phone doesn't feel as bulky like it did with the old case. I loved that it CAME with a Screen Protector. It went on really smoothly and there aren't any bubbles in the screen. I also love that the Otterbox has rubber coverings for the headphone jack and charger jack because I find they can get really gunked up with dust and such. I also like the Rubber parts that are for the buttons on the outside of the phone-- Volume, Camera, and Power. I had a hard time getting to these buttons before, but with the rubber cover, they are really accessible.
Overall, this case is FANTASTIC. It fits so well, it doesn't even seem like there's a case on it. I would recommend it to everyone.
The backing of this phone cover is excellent. I love it's smooth finish and protective cover. The face plate however is a COMPLETE FAIL! I had to send back the first one because it wouldn't stay on the phone. It kept spinging off every 10 seconds. They did offer a complete exchange quite rapidly and the new face cover fit much better...for a week or so. Now I am having the same issue. It simply will not stay on the phone to save my life. Complete fail and waste of money. - Motorola Droid - Case - Droid - Otterbox'
