Video Games - family, wii

Let's face it, nowadays it is hard to get the family to all decide on one thing to do. Luckily, once we bought this game, we no longer have that issue.

I believe alot of people become turned off when it comes to board games partially because of the mess they create. Sure I could spend 20-30 bucks for a couple of these titles and I would probably have fun but loading everything back up in the box and getting it all to fit back in the box perfectly can be really frustrating.

Life - Great take on this classic game. The instructions and point of the game could be a little clearer for the younger players but once they get the hang of it they will really enjoy it. Me and my wife found ourselves laughing at alot of the fun aspects of the game. Especially when I had 3 kids and a wife on a teachers salary. OH BOY!

Mouse Trap - Very enjoyable except it is a little slower than I remember the actual board game being. There's just not much to do as you try to make your way around the board other than build the contraption which gets done pretty quick and then it's just a matter of rolling to eventually get to the end of the board.

Twister - They could have and should have replaced this with something else. Anything else in fact as it just did not translate well to the Wii.

Clue - An enjoyable take on the classic.

Yahtzee - Also an extremely fun take on the classic.

Overall I would suggest this for families who want to bring back the family game night. It was fun, replayable, and kept the kids engaged. Hasbro Family Game Night 3

We really enjoy these family game night Wii games. This one is great except for Twister; not really anything like the original Twister. Mousetrap is good, but a little slow moving. Clue is good with new twists that make it fun and easy to play on the Wii with a group. We loved Yahtzee Hands Down - very addicting! Our overall favorite was LIFE! Lots of laughs and very fun to play with the graphics. Like the original LIFE board game, the long version takes a while to play, but SO worth it.

I have the first Family Game Night and I love it. Honeslty the games in the second Family Game didn't appeal to me, but Family Game Night 3 is right up my alley. It includes the Game of Life, Clue, Twister, Mouse Trap and Yahtzee. All of them are my absolute favorites, especially Clue! With two little kids, we don't really get the chance to break out a board game too much these days, but it is much easier to turn on our Wii, play, and save it.

Each game has a classic and a remixed version which gives extra ways to play so you don't get bored! I will warn you though the Game of Life takes awhile to finisih if you play it 4-player (we had two computer players.) Twister is nothing at all like you'd expect, it is a game where you have to watch beats on the screen and hit the corresponding buttons that it shows, easy but it gets challenging! Mouse Trap is a game I hadn't played since a kid and I don't really remember, in the Wii game you play a mini-game to set up the trap and then you spend the end of the game rolling to see who gets trapped - a little slow but fun. Yahtzee is another favorite of mine and although this game is a little different than the traditional dice game, it is fun and addicting!

Overall, I really like Family Game Night 3 and think it is a great way to play old board game favorites on the Wii. This would be a perfect way for families to update their own family game night or just to play at a party. So far I have played this with just with my tween sister, but I am definitely breaking this out at our next party!

In a sentence: All of my high hopes for this game were vanquished within a half-hour of playing this garbage.

Twister: This has nothing to do with Twister. I was, in fact, very intrigued and excited when it was announced that they were doing a game about Twister. It is essentially a boring version of DDR. If Twister was human, it would be suing for name defamation. 1 star out of 5.

Yahtzee Hands Down: It takes awhile to get the hang of this, and it's not the worth the time in the end. Not very fun. 1 star out of 5.

Mousetrap: The fun thing about playing Mousetrap as a kid was building the contraption. Now that it's done electronically, this game isn't much more fun than an electronic version of Chutes & Ladders. 3 stars out of 5.

Clue: I was most excited about this, and consequently most disappointed by it. In the original board game, you can take a "guess" whenever you enter a room. In this version, you start a "rumor" every time you earn 6 rumor points. You get rumor points by walking around the board, landing on spaces that have rumor points within the tiles. So essentially you're mindlessly wandering around, looking for rumor tiles, and when you do this enough times, you'll find out who the killer is by rule of elimination. The original was fun because you could use reverse psychology on others to trick them into thinking they know who actually dunnit, but this game takes all those aspects away. 2 stars out of 5.

Game of Life: Very, very slow pace. This is the best part of the entire game, and is "Family Game Night 3"'s best attempt at redemption. It's nice that you don't have to add and do the math, but this game is actually quite different than the original (can't buy insurance for your car or house, and there is no real variety to the spaces). 3 stars out of 5.

I thought this game would be great, if not for any innovative features, then at least for the fact I wouldn't have to buy Clue, The Game of Life, and Mousetrap separately as board games. But this Wii game makes me wish I had just bought those 3 board games instead, they'd be much more fun to play. I wish I would have rented this one.

Oh well. It'll be a good White Elephant gift someday. - Party Game - Wii - Wii Game - Family'

Rechargeable Batteries - hand tools, impact drivers

It seems like it's been years since somebody came out with a decent consumer laser level...until now! This item is perfect for one of the most common DIY projects around the house - hanging pictures! I just moved into a new home and used Black & Decker SureGrip Level to hang all of the pictures in our house. I also used it to hang cabinets in our garage. The red/yellow light indicator that tells you when the laser is perfectly level is perfect for low-light areas where it's tough to see the vial (garage, under cabinets, etc.). The audible alert also makes it effortless. The best thing about this product, though is that you don't have to worry about pins or sticky strips when attaching it to the wall - it just sucks right onto the wall.

Electronic Muscle Stimulator - handheld massagers, tens unit

Had the Dr Ho unit for 7-8 years but it finally quit working so we bought another one locally for $119 but when we tried it we realized that it only had 1 connector, even though it came with 2 sets of wires. I did some searching and found this Prosepra unit at Amazon for only $39.95 !!! Read the reviews and decided to order and give it a try. This is a MUCH MUCH better unit that the Dr Ho thing !!! It uses the same cables and pads as the Dr Ho, which was great as we had a few left. There are more settings and more features on this and it seems far more powerful and much more solid and better built........ and at a third of the price !!

We returned the Dr Ho unit and are keeping this one.

I highly recommend this unit , and Amazon had it shipped to me in Canada in record time, I ordered Sunday night, it shipped Monday morning and UPS had it to my door at lunchtime on Tuesday !! Cant beat that. Prosepra Electronic Pulse Massager

I wasn't expecting too much out of this massager, but at less than $40, I thought that I would give it a chance. I have not been disappointed. The biggest advantage it has is convenience. I own several other massagers that provide more (though different) relief, but this one I can use sitting in my chair, walking around the house, etc. The fact that the electrodes stay attached make this unit more versatile than my other massagers. It has plenty of power for me; I have never set the dial for higher than 4 (out of 10) and even that level is often too intense. The pads are reusable, but they do eventually lose their stickiness, even if you clean them off with soap and water. I do not have a lot of experience with EMS devices, so I don't know for sure how well this one stacks up. I have been really pleased with it.

My wife and I have been very please with the results of using tha Prosepra Electronic Pulse Massager. My wife uses it on her shoulder and I use it on my lower back. I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works great and a bargain. Setting 1 is intense but it also depends on where you put it. On my back setting 1 is too soft but on a sore knotted thigh muscle setting 1 is great. This is a life saver for hard knots in you shoulders.

I'll be sending one to my family members with back problems for Christmas.

This is a great product. However, the only problem is that Intensity 1 setting (the lowest) is waaaaay to powerful. The product has a great high end of intensities to be able to use, but the product doesn't give the option to go light enough. I hope that in the future, they will make it possible to set it at at least half of the current minimum intensity.

this is a light-weigh portable unit that does the trick but not a lot of modes to choose from-electrodes lose their stickiness but quickly wipe clean with alcohol pad. - Pain Relief - Tens - Tens Unit - Handheld Massagers'

Boat Cover Support - horrible, useless

I have a center console boat. I have an expensive (for me) boat cover. I live in Florida, lotsa rain. My boat cover fills with puddles. This device seemed like a good idea, and it was cheap.what a surprise It works great, and very easy to connect. It eliminated my cover puddles. Attwood Boat Cover Support Straps for Boats Up to 19-Feet

I bought this because I was tired of my boat cover gathering puddles of water during storms. I have an 18 foot tri hull. This is a very simple design of a boat cover support and it turns out that it's pretty much what I was doing already with a bow rope. But, this offers a bit easier installation and a bit wider support. If you are looking for only a basic cover support, this should do it. My only gripe is that in now way did this make the "peak" of the cover higher so that water would cascade down more. I think that just has to do with the low profile of my boat though. Overall, good for the money if you need something simple and easy. - Useless - Support System For Pontoon Cover - Boat Rain Water Accumulating Pro - Horrible'

Power Tools Cordless Impact Wrench - cordless tools, cordless impact

This is the third cordless impact I own, and is definitely the strongest! I also have the smaller DeWalt DW055K-2 and a Milwaukee 9079-22. Two things lacking on the DW059K-2 that the others have is variable speed and electric brake. I don't mind the lack of variable speed, but I really miss the electric brake. I mainly use the impact for automotive lug nuts. The lack of electric brake sometimes causes nuts to go flying when they reach the end of the stud. However, I can take this wrench to the track and get a whole weekend's use out of it without the battery becoming weak. I cannot say the same for the Milwaukee. The DeWalt also seems a bit better balanced than the Milwaukee. (The smaller DW055K-2 won't loosen my torqued lug nuts, but that is not what I bought it for. It's size makes it very convenient for MANY smaller tasks and has surprising power for its size) DeWALT DW059K-2 18-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-inch Cordless Impact Wrench Kit

This is an excellent tool. It's high quality and has a lot of power. It can take of lug nuts without any effort. It actually broke a bolt on me when I was tightening a nut.

I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have any power adjustment the way that an air powered impact wrench has. It's an all or nothing scenario.

I am also not found of the trigger because you squeeze the top of it to remove a bolt and the bottom of the trigger to tighten. It's too heavy of a tool to share both of these functions on the same trigger. Make it like a drill where there is a forward and reverse switch. It's also very loud with the hammer action. Other than these issues, it's a great impact wrench and I highly recommend it. Especially if you already use 18 volt Dewalt tools and could use a couple of extra batteries.

This impact wrench is larger than most others, and a bit heavier, but with more torque than you'd ever need it's an easy trade. Even for Dewalt, who make great tools, this wrench is above average for quality. It just feels like it means business. I've yet to find something it can't loosen or tighten (and I've been looking - at home and around my mother's ranch for rusty bolts just to see if it can do the job - it can).

If you are looking for a cordless impact that will do the job this is definitley the one to buy. Plenty of staying power and the battery recharge is quick. If you want to tighten up stove bolts I have a Makita and a Miluwakee I'll sell you but if you want to have something with enough power to do something buy this one.

My only gripe on this tool is the trigger. It may work fine for others, but it just doesn't seem to be that user friendly for me. I'm used to a single triger, with a FWD/REV selector switch. It is a bit large, but works perfectly, is powerful, and has a long battery life. I used it on wheel lugs, up to 3/4 in. bolts. I recommend it.

Used the DW059K cordless impact for rotating tires on a vehicle changing brackets on a farm tractor and screwing lag bolts on a garage door, still have not recharged the battery. Very flexible power tool sure beats starting up the air compresser or plugging in a corded impact wrench. Highly recommend this product and as with all the Dewalt tools that I have purchased the high quality is top notch. This cordless impact will last a long time.

Before I purchased this Impact Wrench I was skeptical about cordless, electric, impact wrenches, I did not think they could be as good as pneumatic impact wrenches at removeing lug nuts. After reading the reviews and the return policy, I bought this one, got it home and it more than amazed me. It does the job as good as or better than many air-driven impact wrenches. The only downside is unlike other DeWalt cordless tools, there is no electric brake, this is only a minor inconvienience. The case this wrench comes with is perfect for keeping in the car or truck, it even has enough room to leave a deep impact socket on the tool and fit in the case, along with enough room for the charger, both batteries, and storage room for more sockets and other attachments. This tool is great for home, work and road side needs.

My plan was to use it in the junkyard to break bolts that wasn't easy to use a breaker bar for. So my review here is for automotive purposes only; I'm blissfully oblivious to it's other uses.

It's advertised as 300ft/lb; it feels weaker. It works okay as a power ratchet to get the nuts out after it's broken, but it doesn't do a good job breaking nuts. It'll sit there hammering without anything happening. The breaker bar or the ratchet would get the nut out no problem. Just to get broken bolts off, I could have used a 1/4" impact that has about 100ft/lb torque that costs $50 or so.

The other thing is that it has a huge behind and it's heavy. It's hard to position it since it's so heavy and huge.

This doesn't have the tease trigger or the variable trigger that the 1/4" impacts have. So, it's all or nothing - like an air impact. Although it has a rocker button; one way for forward and one for backwards.

So, if you think it's going to save you at the junkyard from jumping on your breaker bar, it won't. I would recommend a 1/4" impact with the socket adapters to get the screws off fast as a ratchet since it's lighter and will fit easier. Otherwise an air source and tool.

Also, the batteries are not lithium ion on this set. For a $300 set, I think it's just old stock.

Tool works well on day to day use of lag screws 6-8"

in length. Whether installing or removeing. Only problem

is rocker switch fails to engage gun after about 2 months

of use requireing repair. But every brand that I have

used in the past that was electric with same switch type

also failed.I will purchase the Dewalt impact cordless

from now on because it is cordless and there is no differ-

ence in this one and the electric version.

Stainless Steel - e-reader, watches

I bought this watch to use while traveling. Day to day, I use my mobile phone as a watch. Obviously that doesn't work on long flights, and I usually don't get a SIM card to use my phone when I'm in foreign countries. This watch filled the gap admirably on my recent trip. I banged it on things a few times while dragging luggage onto elevators and such, and it came through just fine.

It's a reasonably handsome watch, and the leather band seems high quality and durable. It has the old-fashioned stem for setting time, and setting the date the first time is quite tedious because you have to spin through all the days (or at least I have not discovered a short cut for that). However, this is what we all did before digital watches, so it's a minor annoyance.

This is nice enough to wear to formal events, and rugged enough to use just about anywhere. I'm glad I got it. Even though I have not worn a watch in six years, having this thing on my recent plane/train intensive trip was a major convenience. Wenger Swiss Military Men's 62935-16908 Classic Field Black Leather Watch and Swiss Army Knife Gift Set

i purchased this watch for my husband for his father's day gift. He really liked the look of it. When he put it on the fit was really good, the watch that he has now turns on him because of the band and he has to turn the face of the watch to see it. He has decided that he is going to keep this watch for wearing when he is not at work. I am really happy with the purchase, and would buy it again.

I love this watch. I've had it for a week now and just enjoy wearing it. The bright numbers against the dark background, along with a larger sized dial, make it just so easy to read, especially when I only have a fraction of a second to take a quick glance while leading a group. I have a small wrist, so the band fits into the next to smallest hole, but it is comfortable. This was a gift to myself and I really am loving it.

A person must know what they are looking for in a watch. For my part I was looking for durability, legibility, and accuracy. Time will tell about the durability but it appears to be very well made. It is excellent in legibility and accuracy. I don't believe I have ever paid this much for a watch but I don't regret the investment. I am looking forward to many years ahead with this timepiece.

Okay.. I purchased this watch to replace a Timex Weekender that I previously purchased. The Timex kept loosing time and I've owned Wenger watches before so I forked over the extra $40. So far so good. The leather band is stiff but that will change after a day or two of wear.

The watch face is large and the numbers big making it ideal for my aging eyes to read. The watch is solid and some may find it heavy if your coming from a lighter weight digital watch. It's much heavier than the older field watches Wenger used to make.

All in all, no regrets. I do wish they had a backlight feature but I'll learn to live without. No regrets on spending the extra cash for a quality watch.

Seiko Automatic - mens watch, seiko automatic

Great watch, it's slightly big for my wrist but should fit most fine. The band is worthless, replace immediately, it's cloth (that stinks) and leather (that breaks). The mineral glass if of decent quality, with a rubber band it takes a beating, water, dust and keeps going. Good adventure watch. Wenger Swiss Military Men's 72915 Classic Field Black Dial Canvas Leather Military Watch

I think before I say anything about this watch, that I was given one of these as a present for Christmas many years ago. I wore it every day for probably about 4 to 5 years and I can assure you that this watch is exactly the same as the one I got. Whats the problem you might ask? My parents got it for me at Walgreens for about 15 dollars. This is priced at about 115 dollars on here as I write this, what the heck?

Anyway, more on topic to the watch.

First off, I was never annoyed with this watch on any level. It is pretty damn comfortable and simple. Its easy to read while moving around or running. Its extremely simple to change the time and date (like on most watches) and its not pretentious in looks or colors.

That said though, there are a couple things to note. The watch band is a strange nylon and fake-leather at the ends and on the latch. While this never proved to be a problem on the comfort, style or durability level (at least for 4 or 5 years), it proved to be a problem later when the watch band started to smell in the nylon parts. Since it is a bunch of strands of nylon weaved together, it absorbs sweat over time and the smell basically never comes out. This is only noticeable (in my case) when you are specifically smelling the watch, which during regular use doesn't happen anyway.

The watch in terms of mechanical durability is pretty wicked. Considering I got it when I was just 12 years old, I bashed it around like crazy and not only does the watch still work, but the outer shell and the crystal is still completely unscratched. The watch's only weakpoint is the strap. While the nylon is brilliant in terms of lightness, breatheability and strength, the pseudo-leather at the latch and the ends of the strap are not nearly as strong. They finally after years of constant use gave way and its ripped on the bottom connecting point and one of the latch holes seems to have cracked the leather, meaning its being held together just by the stitched on outer black shiny layer.

However, remember that I was merely 12 when I started wearing this. I probably had no sense of material preservation and therefore, I cannot say it was treated with care during its lifetime. So then in the sense of durability, I have to say this watch definitely went above and beyond the call of duty considering it costed just 15 dollars and we only had to replace the battery only once.

The face of the watch is dreadfully simple. Most would say the lack of bells and whistles makes this bad, but it actually makes it amazing on a number of levels. First off, remember that every extra dial and feature is just another thing to possibly go wrong. Also recall that those watches tend to use more battery power in the long term because of all the extra mechanical things the motor has to do. Finally, and most importantly, it means the watch is quick to read. I can't think of a situation where I had difficulty reading it (the numbers glow in the dark enough so you can see the numbers in pitch black, it works).

The watch holds its time pretty well considering how cheap it was. I estimated when I was younger that this thing was a second slow over the course of about 2 weeks (I knew this because I timed my watch to the second the bell rang, so I easily tracked this fact inadvertently over my years in middle school and high school).

There really isn't much else to say, now that I am 19 I can say that this was the best watch I ever owned. My most recent watch is an Armitron I bought at Walmart for 30 dollars. It got a major scratch (in my opinion) on the face of it, which is driving me nuts. Its why I am looking for a new watch now, and why I when I saw this watch, I felt the need to write a review.

I still have the watch, it held up honorably to a turbulent time in my life, so it should easily serve others as well as it served me.

I bought this watch to replace a canvas strap Bulova field watch I lost not to long ago. The watch itself feels sturdy and heavy (which I personally like), but the watch strap feels and looks a little cheap. I expect to replace the strap because I can easily see the leather cracking or splitting at a bend. Other than that, it seems to be very reliable and functional. Decent watch for the price.

I got this watch as a Birthday present. I work as a paramedic and like having an analog watch with a second hand to take heart and respiratory rates with. I really liked the style, size, and simple function of this Wenger.

Everything was great until I tried to change the date- when I pulled the stem to the middle position it would not engage to change the date. Changed the time fine in the outer position, but would not change the date at all.

I exchanged the watch for another Wenger (same make and model) and tried it right there in the store. The next watch had the same problem! Not sure if this is a bad batch or what, but regardless of if it was, two bad Wenger's in a row was enough to have me shopping for another brand.

I dont believe Wenger is the same quality they were in the past.

This is a very nice watch for the price. The only point I want to make is that the picture that shows the size (with ruler next to it) is totally wrong. The diameter is about 4cm, and about 4.3cm including the nub. I kept mine but if you are not looking for a large watch, look elsewhere. - Mens Watch - Seiko Automatic - Military Watch - Eco-drive'
