Ipad Accessory - touch screen stylus, stylus

I bought the Pogo Sketch as an experiment for drawing on my new iPad, but fully expected to prefer just using my finger instead. I find that using the Pogo Sketch makes it a bit easier to do detailed drawings, and makes it feel more natural to draw on the iPad. I came back here to order two more, in case I lose the first one.

I'm curious to see how quickly the sponge tip wears down. I've been using the stylus pretty heavily since I bought the iPad a month ago, and so far it hasn't shown much wear. Guess the sponge is made of tougher material than it looks!

Debbie

[...] Ten One Design Pogo Sketch stylus for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch (Hot Pink)

I absolutely love the Ten 1 stylus. I own four of them! It is the most responsive stylus I've tried. I've bought cheap ones and regretted it. This stylus is pricey, relatively speaking, but it is very responsive and I like the longer length and pen clip. I bought a carrying case for my iPhone, poked a hole in the lining, and carry the pen in the little pocket I created. I like the burnt orange color. I also own pink and silver. I want to ensure that I have a stylus everywhere I go (home, office, car, eetc) because I have a terrible time working my iPhone with my fingers and I don't like fingerprints all over my screen.

Okay so it's pink...very pink. Forgetaboutit!

What this stylus does is look and feel like a pen and write to your iPad with precision. That is worth tolerating a very bad color palate, unless of course you are female, in which case it is probably so stereotyping that you may well prefer another hue.

My own guess is that this device was designed with the iPhone in mind. And given the small screen of the iPhone, the idea was probably that women might want to use something other than newly manicured nails to make phone calls. And then along comes the iPad, and that changed everything except the color.

The iPad screen like the iPhone's is what is called "multi-touch". From a technological viewpoint this refers to the ability of the screen to sense and transmit tiny electrical signals to a process defining the position and pressure of a finger on the screen and respond according. So sensitive is the technology that it generally only recognizes a finger. If you doubt this try opening a contact in your iPhone or iPad with, say, a key. Nothing will happen.

The Pogo stylus acts like a finger, and is treated by the processor just like it is a finger. Now if you are using an iPhone, basically, who cares? You don't need a pen to open a contact. Nor do you need one to open a contact with an iPad. However if all you are using your iPad is to store contacts, you are in a distinct minority.

So why do I call this stylus a necessity? Consider first of all that the iPad is a tool, and often a business tool. Let's say you are making a presentation using Keynote (Apple's version of PowerPoint). You can use the built-in laser pointer during your presentation on the fly with a touch. If you are like me and have big clumsy fingers, you will find that a stylus provides more reliable and precise control than mere fingers. An additional plus is with programs like iAnnotatepdf which allow you to draw in real time you look like you are using a pen or marker rather than finger-paint to anyone so bored with your presentation that they are watching you and not your slides.

And if they notice the color (and how can they not?), perhaps they will just assume you are really too cool to care...or something.

I got one of each of the BoxWave and the Pogo and BY FAR the BoxWave exceeds my expectations. The BoxWave stylus is heavier, built better, and has a few handy features that the Pogo Ten-One does not.

I tried the Pogo and the tip wore down to almost flat with one day of regular use and now is unusable for fear of scratching the glass on the iPad with the aluminum pen housing.

Days of research and finally getting the top two pens to compare side-by-side left me without a doubt... The BoxWave is the ONLY stylus that works and will provide benefit of use. The Pogo is a waste of time and money.

Interestingly enough, as soon as BoxWave came out with their stylus, Ten-One dropped the price of the Pogo by half... maybe they knew the BoxWave was a better stylus too. =)

When I bought my iPad, I was already a Mac user for everything Apple made. I knew you could use a stylus on the iPad, so I wanted one immediately. I never liked the iPhone for anything but pictures and telephoning, as the pad for writing had keys that were too small and too difficult for me. Others text on their iPhone but I could not. I was always hitting the wrong key. Also, I don't like to text as it gives you a double chin! Watch anyone who is texting.

For the iPad, I discovered the stylus worked perfectly. I bought several to make certain I was never out of them and tried different makes. I decided in the beginning the Pogo was the best of all three. Yesterday I got a new iPhone - and guess what? This Pogo stylus works on the iPhone keypad! I had been told you had to use your finger for the iPhone. Maybe I did for my first iPhone, a second generation, but not with the new iPhone 4. I just ordered 3 more stylus in different colors - only this time they are all Pogo. I will keep them available in different places. This is a great gift. The Pogo hooks on the case for the iPad easily and it is small enough to fit in my iPhone case.

Life gets easier and easier, doesn't it?

I bought this with the intent of taking notes in class on my iPad. While it does function as well as a finger does for touching the screen, it is only marginally more accurate for handwriting. If you feel you can adapt your writing to be larger, then you will probably have a more useful experience with it, but I'm better off with a pen and paper. I am still keeping it and giving it 4 stars because it overall functions as designed and I may have better use for it in the future. - Stylus - Ipad Accessory - Pogo Stylus - Touch Screen Stylus'

Comfort Walking Shoes - walking shoes, easy comfort

I cannot believe how fantastic these look and feel on my feet! They do run a little big so if you are a 10 1/2 like me, order the ten and they will be just right. It's like walking around on supportive marshmallows! I have found my favorite shoes. I bought them in the taupe color and it is fabulous. I told my mom about them and she bought them in the gold color and is in love with them, as well! These are going to be my Walt Disney World vacation sandals. (She wears an 8 1/2, ordered them in an 8 and they are perfect. Easy Spirit Women's Farran Sandal,Medium Taupe Leather,10 M US

Let me start by saying, I am not a flip flop person... my feet just don't look good in them. I looked at the FitFlops and another brand through Kmart, but just didn't like the way they looked on my feet. I was on a quest for something cute, but very comfortable.

Well, I found it in this sandal and they really are wonderful. It looked good while providing good support for my feet. I have a lot of heel pain and so far these sandals have been wonderful in decreasing that pain. I have only had them about two weeks now, but already I can tell a difference.

I did order one full size down and the fit is perfect. The only thing that I wish is that they came in a wide width. Luckily, the leather is pretty giving which helps in that area.

I have already ordered another pair of these and I am excited to receive them. My feet seem to reject other sandals now! They are used to the comfort of the Farran Sandal. Also... the Easy Spirit website is the place to buy this sandal right now. I just purchased my second pair for only $14.99! A big difference from what Amazon is selling them for currently.

Anyway, I highly recommend these sandals, especially if you are having foot pain, yet want a cute sandal to wear. These really help with the pain and look pretty stylish too! :) Enjoy!

Best price for these anti-gravity shoes are on the Easy Spirit site sale section. I usually take a 9-1/2 and I ordered a 9. They do run big and I probably could have even gone down to an 8-1/2, but that size was not available. They have great cushioning, leather uppers, good sole traction and a dream to wear. I already have another pair of shoes from their anti-gravity line and that line has absolutely heaven-on-earth comfort.

Comfortable, beautiful, lightweight: this shoe has it all! Excellent cushioning, great arch support, all-day comfort -- I even played golf with them! And the sparkly champagne color just tops it all off. Sizing is large: I got a 7 and could have gone with a 6.5. Other than that, a perfect shoe!

This sandal was comfortable from the first step! I am going to order another pair because of the comfort. I have worn them shopping ALL day and my feet and legs did not get tired! I don't wear anything else at home or out shopping!

These really are like walking on air. Very comfortable sandals. They stick out a little more in the front than I like but I can overlook that for the comfort. Like the color too. The picture doesn't do them justice. The color will go with everything. Going to the Caribbean later this year and I look forward to wearing these.

I love these sandals. I bought a pair in a different color last year and was very dismayed to find that the style had been discontinued this year. Finally I found these on Amazon! Thank you Amazon. The antigravity soles provide exceptional cushion and support.

I'm really into walking. I walk a 5-7 miles/day on hard NYC pavement, and these are by FAR the best sandals I've tried. Truly, it feels like walking on air, and even after recently walking 13.1 miles, I had no foot discomfort whatsoever. Far more expensive sandals, including Naots and Danskos, weren't nearly as good.

These are not the most attractive sandals, but they are so perfect for walking that I don't care. I also have five pairs of the anti-gravity Easy Spirit shoes, which are amazing, too. I'm totally spoiled by the anti-gravity soles and honestly, most other shoes feel uncomfortable now by comparison.

These sandals are longer than they should be. I wear them but am looking for something more attractive as these make me feel clownish. I hesitate to order shoes online again as I feel that I really need to try on shoes before making a purchase. When your feet hurt from the shoes you're wearing you might as well get rid of them, as they will ruin your whole day. - Walking Shoes - Easy Comfort - Easy Spirt - Comfort Walking Shoes'

College Ruled - college ruled, school paper

I don't know what the deal is with teenage boys, but binders look like war zones with crumpled, half torn and tattered pages. This is the answer!!! The reinforcement is like plastic tape along the edge, through which the holes are punched. Genius!!! And there are 100 sheets, not 75 as the reviewer below mistakenly reports. The wide ruled has 110 sheets. Both qualify as 75 points in the Mead promotion. Five Star Reinforced Filler Paper, College Rule, 100 ct (17102)

Why the huge REINFORCED ***** label in the reinforcing band?! I bought this paper when they first came out and I don't remember seeing that on them. It's ugly as hell!

Oh and yeah, expensive, but very nice durable paper.

As both an AVID teacher and a mom, i highly recommend this product. Pages stay in place. Saves buying and trying to put on those little hole protectors (or tape and re-hole punch). We got exactly what we ordered. We got the 100 sheets. And, the price was cheaper than the local Staples (and with Amazon Prime it came in two days with no shipping cost). Can't be beat!

There were 8 stores with price from $3.03 to $5.29 each pack. I ordered 8 packs of $3.03, and paid extra handling fee $8.82. Delivery was very fast on next day than they promised for 4-6 days. But the package and the paper was different than what I saw on web and what I bought from Walmart before, The reinforce plastic is very weak. Very disappointed.

This has advantage of not needing other reinforcers, but it is expensive compared to paper without reinforcers. I found myself telling the kids not to waste them, such as doodling or as a work paper. It almost defeats the purpose of being a notebook paper.

My teenagers in high school refuse to use any other looseleaf paper, because these sheets with reinforced holes don't get ripped from their binders. I gave it 4 stars, not 5, because the description says they are packs of 100, but actually there are only 75 sheets in a pack. The description should be changed by Amazon. - Paper - Filler Paper - School Paper - College Ruled'

Waterproof - waterproof ink, bottled ink

I write with Noodler's Black (the brand's "standard" black ink) almost every day because I can't always choose the paper to write on. Noodler's Black can be used for two-sided writing on bad paper, even newsprint, which is rare among all the fountain pen inks in the world.

I also write with Noodler's Black because it's waterproof, forgery-proof, good-looking, and pleasantly smooth during writing. I confidently write checks with Noodler's Black, and it is safe for signing valuable or important documents too (when black is an acceptable color; ask your lawyer).

Please keep in mind that the Noodler's company carefully says which of the brand's colors are waterproof and which are not. In my experience Noodler's Black is by far the best Noodler's color for writing on both sides of bad paper.

One behavior you might notice, if your pen's nib is an exposed metal surface (not covered with colored enamel), is that Noodler's (standard) Black spreads itself over exposed metal surfaces. This "nib creep" is harmless behavior because the ink doesn't run down onto the grip area. Wiping the ink off the nib is only temporary; more ink will soon spread to replace what you wiped off. Again, this is harmless behavior and a very small price to pay for the security of your marks, signatures and important handwritten texts. Noodler's Black Waterproof Fountain Pen Ink - Bulletproof

[For the record, I used this ink with the Cross Century II Medalist medium-nib fountain pen.]

Like others have said, this ink has some impressive qualities.

As soon as I opened the bottle (the bottle is glass, and attractive - like the bottles of old), I noticed that it was full to the very brim. While subjective looks have nothing to do with the quantity of ink one actually gets, it's helpful in getting the nib in deep enough not to pull up air, but not so deep that it's overly dirtied.

This ink wipes off of solid surfaces easily - it's much easier to clean off than the Higgins Fountain Pen India I used before. It also doesn't seem to cause "nib goo" on the underside of the nib - which was a regular occurrence with the aforementioned Higgins, particularly when drawing (I draw as well as write).

I decided to see exactly how waterproof this stuff is. While it wasn't a scientific test by any stretch of the imagination, I licked my finger, and rubbed over a completely blackened portion of a sketch I did - and none ended up on my fingertip. The drawing showed no effect, either.

The pen writes more smoothly than before, as well as starting more quickly after pauses with the cap removed.

All-in-all, I think I'm sold on this stuff from now on. =:o)

I just bought my first fountain pen a few months ago, Lamy Safari Charcoal Fountain Pen - Charcoal, Medium Nib L17M bought the converter for it, Lamy Safari Converter Z24 and proceeded to fill it with this fine Noodler's black "bulletproof" ink. I do a majority of my writing in Moleskine journals, Moleskine Large Ruled Notebook and while the paper can sometimes be inconsistent when accepting fountain pen ink, (bleeding & feathering) I have not have had any problems with this particular ink. I also have a bottle of Noodler's Le Colour Royale (a dark purplish blue) and unfortunately, that particular color does bleed & feather slightly in the same Moleskine. Le Colour Royale is not Bulletproof/waterproof, and I wonder if that's the difference.

Of note, there are many journals that can handle fountain pen ink with no bleeding at all, such as Clairfontaine and Miguel Rius. I'm just partial to the Moleskines.

I love using the Black Noodler's ink for doing pen & wash watercolor art.

I think this is a reasonably priced product, and I'm quite pleased that it's made in the USA, which I try to buy as often as possible.

When researching inks (the Fountain Pen Network forum is a great resource), one will quickly find that Noodler's Ink is very popular among those interested. The company produces an unusually wide selection of inks. Despite this range, each ink is generally well-balanced and behaved. Their Bulletproof Black is no exception - it's a very well behaved ink that doesn't feather or bleed. The fact that it's waterproof on paper gives me peace of mind, and if I wrote checks, I would probably do it with this ink. The only negative thing that I can think of is that this ink and many other Noodler's Inks exhibit so-called "nib-creep." While writing, you'll notice that some ink comes out of the slit on the nib and creeps outwards. Some may consider this unattractive, but I'd say that the other positives greatly outweigh this problem. Besides, I sort of like the look of a little ink on the nib.

An individual bottle of Noodler's ink may seem a little expensive at first, but when I buy one, I really feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Each bottle is 3 ounces, which, in case you don't have a fountain pen, lasts a very long time. I'm a college student, and even if I write with the same ink for an entire semester, every day, I'd be surprised if I'd make it a third of the way through the bottle.

To be honest, I think that Noodler's Ink makes a good role model for a small businesses. They're very generous in the amount of ink per bottle - each one is literally filled to the brim; make sure you don't spill when you first open it! And of course, they're based in the USA, which gives me a little sense of pride. Overall, the ink and the company behind it deserve 5 stars.

Amazon, on the other hand, could do some improvement. The ink was pretty poorly packaged, and I felt that it was a little miracle that it didn't shatter during shipping. Amazon or whoever packages it should put some more bubble wrap around the ink bottle to be safe.

Noodler's black is an excellent product that has worked perfectly for me in a wide variety of pens. It's not the blackest black on the market (Noodler's Borealis Black is the blackest of the 25+ black inks I've tried), but standard Noodler's black is black enough, and it's amazingly tenacious once it's dried on paper.

I've put samples under a faucet for fifteen minutes with hot water pouring over them, soaked them in concentrated bleach solutions overnight, hit them with every conceivable cleaner from carpet cleaner to dry cleaning fluid, and the writing's still there. Noodler's black bonds with paper using cellulose-reactive dyes, and that bond is extremely strong.

When using a wet pen, sometimes extra ink is laid down on the paper. The ink that bonds with the cellulose is permanent, but any extra ink that's laying on top is not. Water will rinse away the excess ink, but the writing will be as strong and as solid as when it was first written.

I've found Noodler's black very easy to rinse out of my pens and off of my skin. Because the ink has to bond with cellulose to become permanent, it rinses very easily compared to other inks labeled as "permanent". It will bond with the cellulose in cotton fabric, so be careful not to spill it on cotton clothes. Pour it on synthetic fabrics, though, and it comes right out. I had a small spill on my carpet, and I cleaned it up with paper towels and water, without leaving any stain behind. Additionally, Noodler's black is pH neutral, so it won't eat through some metals the way acidic inks can.

I've been using Noodler's black for years, and it's performed flawlessly as I've worked my way through multiple bottles. - Waterproof Ink - Bottled Ink - Noodlers - Fountain Pens'

Mercier - mens watch, baume

I bought this a few days ago and am really happy with the purchase. I have been following this watch for a while and have been to jewellers to get a price on this item and also to know more about the brand. Baume & Mercier is one of the oldest watch makers ever! The Riviera is a classic piece that doesn't look boring, even though it was first created in the 70s'. It is light on the wrist and suitable for all occasions. I like it and would strongly recommend it! Thanks Amazon! Baume & Mercier Men's 8723 Riviera Chronograph Date Watch

I got this watch because is beautiful, elegant and sport. But it has a malfunction in the date mechanism, i am very, very dissapointed because is a brand new product, there are no reasons to sell a product with malfunctions.I save at least 2300 dlls, the Riviera line is out of market, that's why the very good price, but take care in your buys through the internet.Baume & Mercier Men's 8723 Riviera Chronograph Date Watch

Baume & Mercier Men's 8723 Riviera Chronograph Date Watch

Beautiful watch; though, it arrived with a malfunction, as the date adjustment has was not working. I had to bring it to my jeweler's in order to get it fixed. The extra charge on top of the purchase price was considerable and made this transaction less of an attractive deal.

I just bought this watch and I can't believe I did not like it in the begining only because of the plastic band, since all my watches do have stainless steel band.

I have been receiving great compliments about this watch as it is very sporty and at the same time it looks very elegant.

The plastic band feels smooth against my wrist, it is not heavy or bulky.

Beautiful watch.

I thought it was the perfect watch for my needs, unfortunately it was defective when it arrived. The tachymeter hand was positional and would get stuck at the 12 o'clock position. I returned it and I am still awaiting a response. One would think, someone would evaluate it prior to mailing. I am just very disappointed. - Baume - Mercier - Mens Watch'

Environmentally Friendly - floods, compact fluorescent

I have been using these TCP compact fluorescent floods for one year now. I originally bought a CARTON/BOX full of them, which (if I recall) is something like 48 bulbs. I installed them in our new 6,000 sq.ft. home, which has around 40 ceiling cans. After a year of use, I can honestly report the following:

1) The bulbs are very dim when first energized, and require a minute or more to reach a usable brightness level.

2) Many of these bulbs fail prematurely (6 out of 40, so far) due to their cheap electronic ballast. I've given up on contacting TCP and getting replacement bulbs - after two calls (and two dead bulbs), the gal thought I was lying and trying to get free bulbs.

3) As they age, these bulbs assume an ugly yellow color while "warming up" (remember... it takes a minute or more for them to actually reach a usable light output and a white color). If you replace one in an area with several, it is very noticeable! The old ones will light up "yellow" and dim, while the new one will light up "white" and dim, but warm up much faster than the old ones.

I was hoping TCP produced a quality product, but it's obvious now that they use the cheapest (and under-rated) materials possible. It's been a pain replacing these bulbs, given that I have 10' ceilings in most rooms, and 30' vaulted ceilings in the entry and stairway area.

Are they a good deal? Only if you get them at a very discounted price (which I did) and you buy 15% more than you need, as replacement stock. My outside ones (in a covered area, not exposed to water) only lasted two months! I'm putting incandescents back into those areas, as I'm tired of changing bulbs and wasting my money on TCP's. TCP 14-Watt Soft White Compact Fluorescent Flood Light Bulb (6 Pack)

Coming from years of lighting sales I know to "burn in" fluorescent bulbs by leaving them on for 12hrs the first time, that's supposed to fix the slow-start issue. These take at least 2 - 3 minutes to go from dim to bright. Once bright they look really good, but they take too long for our bathroom, people are done in there before the lights come on

I would say to use these for lights that are on all the time, but if you turn them off and on regularly, they are no good at all.

At the time of this review, these bulbs are selling for way cheaper than any comparable bulbs I've found. I've had them installed for just a few hours and they are working well so far. All bulbs arrived in working conditions and they warm up pretty quickly.

My only complaint is that the color of the light seems a little cooler than 2700k. Not by that much, but it's noticeable to someone like me who really likes warm light.

Pros:

-All 18 are still working after 8 weeks

-Price

Cons:

-Hard to believe these are 2700

-Regardless of how they rank to others of the same type, the room is still very dark when I flip the switch. Have had times when I will just turn the lights on early in anticipation of needing the room which, of course, defeats some of the energy savings. All 18 behave the same so this is by design.

Pros:

1. Good price - even cheaper now than when I bought the first batch.

2. Good color - not incandescent warm, but warmer than other CFLs we have.

Con:

1. One burned out after 3 days. The other 13 installed still going strong though.

2. They take a while to fully light. Someone said 20 seconds. Our experience is closer to 45-60 seconds.

I bought these to replace flood lamps in a basement. We have about 10 lamps in the room so I thought it would help saving energy and money. There is a noticable difference in brightness and color from other bulbs with the same specifications. Also it is very obvious that they have a non flood shaped cfl inside.

For near the price of six incandescent bulbs, you can buy these six CFL bulbs. The color is very similar to my remaining incandescent bulbs, although the CFL is a lot brighter after it warms up. It comes on dim, but becomes fully bright after about 20 seconds. Some people have a problem with this, but it doesn't bother me.

The price is very good. Unfortunately, one of the six bulbs stopped working within a single day. I probably could have returned the package but did not want to go through the hassle of returning all six bulbs when only one of six is broken. Getting five bulbs for the price is still a good deal. I'm just disappointed by the quality and that I'll have to dispose of one immediately. - Energy Efficient - Floods - Compact Fluorescent - Compact Fluorescent Bulbs'

Accessories - dot paper, notetaking

When you receive the Livescribe pen, you get a starter notebook and this is the size of this A5 notebook, except there are thirty more pages than in the starter notebook. If you have yet to buy a smartpen or no longer have the starter notebook, go into a word document and do a page set up, there should be an option for an A5 page and that it the size of the notebook.

Size: I give this a 5/5 because when you are working on a desk with limited space, like a school desk or on with a computer, this size is perfect. Since it is smaller than the three-subject or single-subject notebook of regular sized paper, you can write easier without needing to maneuver the notebook around to write across the page or down at the bottom. Overall, the size is perfect for what I need.

Layout: I give this a 4/5 because the bottom buttons are laid out across two pages since the notebook is small. So, unless you do not fold the notebook in half and leave it opened, you will have to flip to get to the other buttons. There are no margins in the notebook which is a little weird. The last line does not reach all the way across the page; instead, it is indented some to leave room for the menu key. I think they could have taken that line out and put the other buttons onto the page using that space. Near the bottom by the perforated line is- 1Subject A5 Notebook #: Page #- on every page in all four notebooks, which seems weird since there is already a page number at the bottom corner of the page. You can write over it and the writing still shows up, so that is fine, just annoying. But overall, the layout works just fine for a small notebook.

Front and Back Cover: On both covers are four bubbles. The top bubble is a calculator which works just fine if you need something like that. Underneath that is a status bubble (date, time, battery, storage, audio settings, software version) and a settings bubble (date and time, display (brightness, scroll control, left handed, right handed), volume). Below the status bubble is the menu button called the nav plus which looks like a plus sign with arrows on it. I give this a 5/5 because the controls are what you need to do various tasks with your pen.

Cost: I give this a 4½/5 because it is cheaper than the 1 subject notebooks 4 pack, but not by much. I think that this note book could be a little cheaper since it is smaller and has fewer pages than the single-subject. However, for portability, I think that the price is pretty fair for what it is.

Overall this notebook is a good buy. It is more portable than the 3 or 1 subject notebooks that are regular sized as it can easily be slipped into a purse or a cargo pocket, and it won't take up a lot of space in a briefcase or backpack. If you are looking for something smaller and lighter than an 8½" by 11" options, but big enough to write a lot, then this notebook is for you. Livescribe A5 Single Subject Notebooks 4pk

I'm glad to see Amazon has started carrying these books. Previously I had purchased them on the Livescribe site and had to pay postage.

Having used both the full sized notebook that came with my Pulse pen and the elegant smaller bound ones, I have to say the spiral bound A5 books are my all time favorite.

This size makes it nice to sit at a conference room table and take notes with my laptop next to me and not take up too much room. The spiral allows you to fold the book in half. Though I really liked the elegant smaller bound ones they took up twice the width in use and had to be held open (not hard to do, as they were nicely made).

Another thing I have noted is the price for these notebooks in general is comparable to high quality notebooks without the ability to use the Livescribe pen. I can't complain about that.

I've noted for my purposes these books would hold about 4 months of meeting notes, so a pack of 4 would be a years supply.

Note however, that I have 3 books going at all time. 1. for work. 2. for personal 3. for a journal. So if you combine all these you might go through one quicker. If I were a student all bets would be off as I was a prodigious note taker. For me writing stuff down was a way of remembering things. Just sharing this to set a reference for usage.

The only way I would improve upon these would be to have a built in folder, if I wanted to store other papers and a means of noting your progress in the book, so I could quickly turn to the last page I was on. I close the book when carrying, so as not to damage the pages.

I prefer these smaller size spiral notebooks to the standard size spiral notebooks. They're much easier to transport, the design is simple yet attractive, and it has all the LiveScribe functionality, calculator, settings, recording, etc. You can neatly tear out pages if you wish as there's a perforated piece that makes tearing out pages clean.

These notebooks are for the LiveScribe pens! Not much more else to say, it's a pad of paper used for LiveScibe!

I am a loyal LiveScribe user & supporter and now have two pens so I no longer have to carry one back and forth to school. It you use LiveScribe this works flawlessly, but, an early adopter of this technology, I think it's just that LiveScribe has been constantly improving their products and software. If you were an early adopter like me, you know what I'm talking about. However, I give LiveScribe all the kudos in the world for sticking with this product that keeps getting better and more reliable with each upgrade.

This is a 5 star item, but like my review title states, a bit pricy. However, price is not going to keep me from buying more of these as this device and note paper has saved me from embarrassment (and yes, with its recording feature will and has embarrassed others) is a cool technology that actually works!

I use the Livescribe system on a daily basis. As an individual who constantly sought a way to be organized and be at ten places at one time, I found the Livescribe system to be extremely useful. One of the main features is that once you utilze these types of notebooks, your text will be converted to PDF using the supplied software. From there I can email it to my staff or any one else that may require my notes. It also allows for a search feature that I find very useful where it searches for words in your handwriting. It is very accurate.

I will continue to buy this product and highly recommend it. - Dot Paper - Accessories - Smartpen - Notetaking'

Accessories - stability ball, swiss ball

I bought this GoFit 75cm Stability Ball as a replacement for my desk chair at home. I've learned (from a trusted source) that sitting on a stability ball can burn 100 calories an hour. After using this for a month now, I'll bet that's true.

As for this specific stability ball - it's certainly a heavy-duty ball. It states a burst-rating of 1,200 lbs. I work at home and probably spend 6-8-hours a day sitting on this thing and it's very comfortable. At 6'2" and 220lbs, the 75cm size is perfect for use at my desk.

Use a bigger air pump if you have one. The pump that comes with it will take you a month to pump it up. I used a small portable air compressor and even that took a while to inflate. I did have to re-inflate it a bit after the first few days once it settled-in. That was no problem. I just used a pair of pliers to remove the plug.

I looked everywhere, but there were no instructions on inflating the GoFit ball that came with it. Not that it's rocket-science to pump up a ball, but a few tips might have been helpful. I used a long level and a measuring tape to figure out when the ball was close to full-inflation. Just hold the level (or a yardstick, etc.) on top and measure the distance from the level to the floor.

The DVD and booklet that come with it seem to be a good bonus too.

All-in-all, a great Stability Ball for what I needed -- and a much healthier option than sitting in a regular chair all day! GoFit 75cm Professional Stability Ball

I was a 470lb man when I bought this ball. I use it in my daily exersice routine. It has made a world of difference in my core muscles. I feel stronger throughout the mid section and I stand up straighter. I recomend following the video and incorperating it into your workout. I saw a personal trainer and she got me goin on the ball. I tried to find a ball to hold me but kept feeling unsure if a ball with a 300lb rating. If you are seriouse about loosing weight and strengthening your mid section, GET THIS BALL!!!

I love this ball. I use it for workouts, and also my chair for at the desk. I find this to be a very sturdy ball. Inflating it was not very hard. I found that if you can use a air compressor that was much easier than the hand pump. It is a very sturdy ball and not a lot of things stick to it which is nice for around the house. It was also big enough for me to use, I am 6'2 so if your tall this will work for you.

This is a high quality stability ball and the pump is also very good. I wish the ball came with instructions. I needed to inflate my ball 3x's in the first week to maintain proper inflation, but I think that's normal. (I just used a flathead screwdriver to pry the plug out--its seems to have caused no damage.)

The video that came with it is excellent. It includes a good variety of exercises which are clearly explained and modeled.

I use this ball as a desk chair and it meets my needs perfectly. For some context, I'm 6'1", 200 lbs, and my desktop is at 30" with 25" clearance underneath. I inflated the ball to almost exactly 75 cm without any concerns. The included pump is adequate, but you'll pump for 15 minutes or so. The plastic plugs seal up the ball just fine, and come out easily enough with the help of a pointy object. I haven't had to do this but once initially to adjust the amount of air. It has held the pressure pretty much constant for 5 weeks now. The ball does not pick up lint and dust, so it stays looking clean. I like that it's rated for so much weight--it doesn't feel at all vulnerable to bursting, even when I bounce on it, which is a nearly automatic reaction to sitting on the thing.

Lordy, people... simmer down. I just inflated my 75 cm ball in 10 minutes using the hand pump, and during that 10 minutes I got up and grabbed a tissue and took off my hat and turned down the heater and read an email... We have two compressors, but I'm not familiar with how to operate them; and my spouse, who is the compressor operator of the family, was taking a nap, so I decided to just have a go with the hand pump and see if it was indeed going to "take a month" to inflate, as one reviewer said.

It would have taken me/us longer to plug up the compressor and find an attachment that fit the ball than it took me to inflate the ball by hand.

Sure, my heart rate increased a little bit. But I didn't sweat. And I didn't breathe through my mouth. I consider it my first workout with the ball!... You could take it slower and easier if you wanted, even watch the evening news while pumping away, and have it inflated in 15 minutes.

I am currently using the ball as a chair. And liking the feel of that. Hip wiggle, hip wiggle... giggle, giggle... work is fun, life is good. Happy day. It's good to move and breathe and flow! Bye now!

I had a 65 cm ball that was too short for me (6 ft). The 75 cm ball is the right height for me. I love that it keeps me moving while I'm sitting at my desk. It also provides me with a reason to sneak in some crunches every now and then. It takes a few days to get used to sitting on it, but I think I've actually lost a little weight in the week or so that I've been using the ball.

I purchased this exercise ball as a replacement for my desk chair after borrowing a same-size ball from a friend (a Gymnic Classic 75cm ball). After inflating this ball and putting it side by side with the Gymnic I found it to be slightly smaller, no matter how much I inflated it. The quality of the ball itself is very good - the plastic is thick and I truly believe that this ball will stand up to some wear and tear. As a desk chair, though, I found it to be slightly too small (5'10, 180 pounds) and the thick plastic made it less comfortable than the Gymnic (which unfortunately is also more expensive!)

I am 6', 280+ lbs and wanted an exercise ball to use as a desk chair - this one is perfect! It is exactly what they say it is and is durable enough that I'm pretty sure I could strap it on and jump out a two story window onto it without it bursting.

75cm is also the perfect height for my desk. - Swiss Ball - Ball Chair - Stability Ball - Fitness Ball'

Dog Magazine - magazine, animal stories

Bark is not a how-to-care-for-your-dog magazine. It's a magazine about living with dogs. It has fascinating articles about the lives of dogs and people with dogs. It has history of dogs and poems about dogs and interviews with dog trainers and sheep herders and canine rescue squads ... If you want the latest pet grooming tricks, you won't find it here, but if you want insight into what dogs mean to people and what people mean to dogs, this is your magazine. Charming, touching, smart and simply wonderful. The Bark

The Bark is by far the greatest magazine for dog lovers ever printed! Insightful articles, essay, stories, and artwork keep you waiting eagerly for the next issue. They cover health, training, home decorating, entrepreneurs, absolutely everything! And maybe most importantly, the Bark does not cater to breeders or exploiters. Instead of advertisements for kennels, they promote shelters and spay/neuter programs. No AKC elitists here! Every dog counts. And if you are looking for the lastest and greatest pet products, their advertisers have the most original and unusual things to be found anywhere. This magazine focuses on human relationships with the dogs that share our world, housepets to service dogs. When each new issue arrives (and there aren't enough!) we make popcorn for ourselves and for our dogs and the we all hit the couch for the entire evening. If you have one dog, no dog, or many, this is the quintessential reading for any person who has ever loved a canine!

I am a new subscriber, have received two issues so far. This is a fascinating magazine, beautifully laid out, and well written. In the first issue I received (which I have now read almost cover-to-cover, something I Never do with magazines), there were articles about Dog rescue in Asia, the science of the historical relationship between Dogs and their humans, emotional vignettes about the love between Dogs and humans and so much more.

I like the reviewer who likened this magazine to the New Yorker about Dogs. The first issue was chock-full of everything from useful tips to weepy stories to fascinating science.

I made an effort to cancel all of my magazine subscriptions recently, simply because I do not have the time to read them all. This one will remain. In fact, I may start archiving this magazine-it is that good! All of our guests inevitable pick up the magazine, drawn by the crisp graphics, and retained by a healthy variety of reading.

Obviously, I am a fan. I have barely started the second issue, but from skimming the articles, I have full faith that I will not be disappointed.

Subscribe and enjoy!

This is an extremely "well rounded" magazine! I thoroughly enjoy every issue. Bark covers all issues concerning dogs. From articles on veterinary issues, understanding your dogs behaviour, dog gear....and outstanding well written short stories and articles written by people about their dogs and how they have impacted their lives. Very enjoyable reading....from cover to cover.

I highly recommend Bark. If you get your "paws" on your first copy, you will definitely look forward to the next.

This magazine is a nice alternative to Dog Fancy or purebred-centered publications. It contains rescue-related stories and gives mutts equal time. The writers are witty and interesting, and there aren't terrible breeder ads in the back. A good choice for those of us that spay/neuter our dogs and aren't involved in showing.

I can't wait to open each issue of The Bark when it arrives; it never fails to inspire. My dog is part of my family, and The Bark reflects that way of life. Life with my dog. Unlike other dog magazines, The Bark doesn't tell me how to train my dog or what type of dog food I should buy; instead I find articles written by those who share their lives with dogs, and who have something to say about it to readers who live with dogs. If you don't live with a dog, you might after you read The Bark!

I have been a loyal subscriber almost since the beginning, and I cannot believe how this publication just keeps getting better. It's lush to look at, a pleasure to read and packed from cover to cover with information that delights, informs and entertains. Even the ads are nifty.

If you have a dog and a brain, you have to have The Bark.

I think everyone will agree that there are tons of dog magazines out there but this one really stands out from the rest. The articles are about a wide range of interests and present different views on things. Anyone with an interest in dogs would really enjoy this. Some o;f the articles are a little more in depth and scientific than others that may just be simply informative or for fun. There are things that really make you think, about the world we're living in or the newest technology that is being developed to tell us new things about things we THOUGHT we knew.

Smart, fair, funny and informative. I often refer to this periodical as the NPR for dog lovers. Actually you can see that many times contributors are people from NPR. Our dogs are our family and we enjoy them very much. I read this magazine from cover to cover. I have given many gifts subscriptions!

I have been subscribing to The Bark for many many years now and it's a joy to receive this magazine! Customer service has never been a problem and as long as they keep up the quality of the magazine and customer service I foresee The Bark Magazine being around for a very long time. Thank you Bark for providing a quality dog magazine! - Magazine - Dog Magazine - Animal Stories - Dog Culture'

Paslode

What is there to say about a battery? It takes a charge and it delivers power. This particular model lasts a very long time. The impulse guns must not require much power to operate because these will drive several thousand nails before dying. My only complaint is that they are expensive compared to other batteries . At the same rate a 12v would be a hundred bucks. Paslode Cordless Battery

Loyal paslode customer own approx. 10 cordless guns, approx 12 oval batteries, 8 of the batteries have came apart at the clip. The top of the battery comes completly off when you put it in the gun. Have to use black tape to hold the batteries together. Don't have much choice I need a battery to fire the guns trying to find other options. Any sugestions?

I picked up a spare battery for my Paslode since I use it at our remote cabin and charging batteries is a bit of an ordeal. There's not too much to say about the battery itself, works like you'd expect. The battery doesn't have to do much in the gun (runs a cooling fan and fires the spark plug), so it lasts a long time on one charge.

the battery came on time and is working just fine

BUT MY ORDER FOR GLEEM TOOTH PAST HAS NOT COME IN - IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE IN AROUND JULY 19TH NOW FOR NO REASON GIVEN IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF AUG.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Router Table

I bought this router table at a tool show, it included a powerful router. The sales people said that this was a special show special, well, it wasn't, it was the same deal in the wood magazines. Strike One!

I got the table home and tried to assemble it, the sides seat in a routed dado, they did not fit the dados were too short. Strike Two!

Even if I got the thing assembled, the router plate was leveled by wood screws under the plate that were at all different angles to the plate. Strike Three!

Good news! They took the unit back the next day, at the show. I would do business with Woodline again, I just would not purchase the router table.

Panties

Bought these a week ago, and have worn nothing since! These are so thin feeling, but so well made and designed that they fit like a second skin. I love them and will wear nothing else unless they make a slightly less full bottomed style of the same material! All them washed and came out looking like new and fitting even better after a hot dry cycle! Great buy, get 2 sets while you are at it! Hanes Women's 3-Pack Classic Cotton Stretch Bikini,3-Pack: Pink/Black/Nude,6

Thery are great! These Bikinis are soft, thick, and having good shape and stretchability (they seem that they can stand hudreds of washing!). Their sizes are fitting though at first I thought they would be a little big when I opened my package.

Barely there! Soft, silky, with a little stretch, these panties are so comfortable, you'll barely know they're there!! Covered elastic at both waist and legs is a huge plus. No fraying elastic to deal with, ever. Good coverage, front and back, especially for a bikini. Attractive on, but not supremely sexy. I've bought a lot of panties, and these are the very best I've found. Comfortable, well-constructed, easy care, pretty and practical.I bought several 3-packs a few weeks ago, and I'm buying another dozen panties today! I just hope Hanes keeps making these and Amazon keeps selling them.'

10x Optical Zoom - digital camera, sony cybershot

Having owned many pro-level cameras in the past, it was difficult for me to find a solid and versatile point-and-shoot. This camera has everything I was looking for and just a bit more.

Pros:

I am impressed with the amount of control the H55 gives me.

Panoramic imaging built in (its nice to see the results right away rather than just eyeballing it) .

Image quality - wow @ 14MP, the images are gorgeous.

Color accuracy is great with good lighting.

The camera handles quite nicely and is very easy to navigate.

The wide angle lens is fantastic at this price. As a pro I would have spent a couple hundred on the lens alone.

Excellent range on zoom. I was quite happily surprised.

Battery life seems much more adequate than the W330 I previously purchased and returned.

Cons:

The flash is far from balanced and seems too hot to be used for fill. I'm new on this camera and I'm used to pro-level equipment, so I'm sure I'm expecting too much here. That, or I just don't yet have the hang of it.

Color accuracy breaks down at lower light levels. Since I didn't have a real meter with me, I couldn't tell at which precise number breakdown begins to occur. I would guess around 4 lux is about as good as it gets. Beyond around that, it gets pretty noisy. I'll experiment with some night shooting when I have it on a tripod. But I won't get my hopes up.

Doesn't seem to allow you to manually close the lens. Not a dealbreaker, but it would seem a fairly simple feature to offer. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H55 14.1MP Digital Camera with 10x Wide Angle Optical Zoom with SteadyShot Image Stabilization and 3.0 inch LCD (Black)

This camera has an excellent Optical 10X zoom, images can be seen clearly and with rich colours. Also using the 20X digital zoom photos have many details, you can apreciate like lines in a wall or symbols in a stone. 720p video looks great when played in my laptop and it does not have blur or moving lines like in other camera's brands, thanks for the mp4 format, very, very portable. Nice panoramic photos, I use them as wallpapers. Only one thing I couldn't do with this camera was shooting the moon or filming it, may be I have to

read the manual with more calm. SD Cards supported, nice move!

Good: outdoor lighting, fantastic - nice color saturation, quick response, sharp images, panoramic motion interesting

Bad: slow, slow, slow in low light or indoor conditions

There was a noticeable lag especially in lower lighting when the flash went off. I have never returned a camera, and this one went back. I was disappointed in the indoor condition performance as compared to previous W-series Sony Cybershots and Canon PowerShots especially. I returned the H55 for a Canon S90. It's too bad because the outdoor lighting photos came out beautifully.

I have been looking for a replacement to my previous Sony 5.1 MP camera for which i paid the same amount that I paid for this camera. It's amazing to see a sea change in the quality of the pictures especially under relatively lower light conditions and outdoors. The zoom is outstanding. I can agree with the previous reviewer that the picture blurs, but I have a different take. If the object moves or if the hand shakes a little. In my view this is OK becasue multi-burst function has been disabled by default. But, I have taken moving pictures and it comes out fine most of the time.

A word of caustion that do not purchase this camera primarily becasue it has HD recording. The picture quality of HD recording indoor under medium to low light is noisy. And even in outdoor, the movie function can't replace what a full blown HD camcorder can do.

I recommed this camera to anyone who is looking for shooting great quality indoor/outdoor pictures. The smaller pocket size of the camera is really a big plus compared to it's predecessor, H-20 model.

I haven't utilized all it's features. I will right more when get to know more about this camera. One last thing that the black plastic housing looks cheap. I wish Sony had added some metal and hardness to the body of the camera. Overall, I give it 5 stars becasue the camera excels in its bottom line functionality which is to take excellent shots.

Well, I have some bad news. After a week of use, I noticed that the camera is washing away the colors if the person is wearing lighter colored clothings like light blue, light green, light yellow, or cream colors. It happens when taking pictures indoor. The lighers-colors in iMode settings don't come exactly the same. They appear whashed away. I am having a second thoughts about this camera. Not to mention that the outdoor pictures are perfect and even the indoor pictures are great if the person is in dark colored clothes.

This has been covered to death, so a few brief comments on my personal experience. I bought this to use as a point-&-shoot, and did not expect to get more than I paid for, but was pleasantly surprised.

1 - extremely easy to set up and use. Charge the battery, install a media card, and turn it on.

2 - Battery / memory card door is pretty cheesy.

3 - takes good pictures. pics have good color and brightness, need little to no post-processing.

4 - low light pictures are -really- good (for low-light pictures), waay better than I expected. Bravo twilight mode.

5 - panorama mode works well and is priceless if you do much shooting in tight quarters, or of large groups - however, no zoom. Wide-angle only, which maximizes cylindrical distortion. I still love it.

6 - I do mostly stills and had little interest in movie mode. Very much appreciated saving $100+ from the HX5V.

7 - Works as advertised. If this is what you want, buy with confidence.
