Interior Design

This book is an excellent source of information for those interested in becoming designers and those already studying interior design. This book explains commerical design well and gives truthful information on what potential employers will expect from a design education. If you are serious about becoming an interior designer, read this book - so you will be completely informed on this fun and dynamic profession. It is not decorating! Becoming an Interior Designer: A Guide to Careers in Design

I purchased this book for my high school aged daughter who in interested in a career in interior design. The book is ideal for someone like her. It provides a good overview of the design process, design specialties (residential, commercial, hospitality, etc), educational preparation required, where jobs are, and general business aspects of the field. A defining feature of this book is that author includes several interviews with people in the field asking practical questions such as "How did you become an interior designer?", "What is the greatest challenge of your work?", "What is the single most important skill an Interior Designer needs to be successful?", "How important is Interior Design education/Certification in today's industry?", "What do you look for in Hiring a new designer?", etc. This aspect allows the reader to hear from several real people rather than just getting a dry Occupational Outlook view. The interview responses are practical, sobering (you realize how much work it is!) and inspiring. Just right for helping someone make an informed choice.

My only knock against this book is that at $23 it is a bit pricey for a paperback with only black and white photos. It strikes me more as a $15 book. I might look for a used copy. That said, it has been very valuable and I would buy it again.

I recently read Becoming an Interior Designer by Christine Piotrowski, ASID, IIDA, for a critical analysis paper in my english class at OSU. After reading it, I would agree that interior design is more complex than the average person might assume. Throughout this selection, Piotrowski discusses the types of design, the changes in the profession over time, and the educational preparation to gain a better understanding of the career overall. This informative "how-to" book discusses commercial and residential areas of interior design and what is important to know in order to become successful in the rapidly growing field. In her attempt at writing an educational book, Piotrowski uses techniques, variety, and tips that ultimately reveal to readers whether this career is suitable for them. This book is best for anyone who is interested in the field and is looking for a quick light read. I found the book to be repetitive, not necessarily intellectually challenging, but a fun read that can either discourage or encourage one to follow their dream to become an interior designer. So if one has the desire to learn more about this book check out this guide to careers in design.

Piotrowski writes about the steps on how to become an interior designer. There are several chapters describing the design process and the different types of design. There are detailed accounts of what is put into residential and commercial spaces. She takes a look at the future of the profession. There are several testimonials and showcases for active designers giving their opinions and advice on the profession. This book offers an in depth account on the profession and what is to come in the interior design field. As an aspiring interior designer, this book talked too much about current designer's experiences and not strictly about the profession. The book overall was helpful and knowledgable and I suggest those interested in the field get this book and take it to heart. This book is a fairly easy to read book; it rates only at the twelfth grade level on average. It is appropriate for those in high school and older. It helps inspire those that are looking at the profession and those already in it.

I bought this book because I am interested in going back to school for a 2nd degree in Interior Design. This book gives a great breakdown of the industry. It breaks down the different specialities and highlights the major points in each specialization. It also discusses education and certification. I love the Questions to Interior Designers section, because they interview practicing interior designers. I have made my final decision to go back to school and this book has helped alot in my decision making process.

This book was recommended to me my last year in college. (Bachelor of Interior Design) While I was faily certain that I would enter commercial design, the author of this book could have convinced me otherwise.

There is good basic information on each area of the field. I felt that the section on Hospitality design was very informative.

This latest, updated guide to becoming an interior designer offers tips from a range of practitioners and educators about the professional requirements and business of interior design. This is in the form of various interviews synthesizing the advice of design experts. Sidebars of information, discussions of specific design challenges from hospitality design to other specialties, job challenges in the industry, and more are accompanied by insider's specifics to make for a 'must' for any business or career collection.

Seller was efficient, but the book itself has too many quotes, so it's hard to follow along in one person's tone. It's less of a guide or textbook and more of a question/answer compilation. May be useful for some.

This book provides a wealth of information if you're considering a career in interior design. It gives you the breadth of possibilities of interior designing - residential and commercial. I also like that the author included quotes from practicing professionals on a range of topics.'

Dashboard Mount - gps mount, dash mount

I've used this bean-bag dash mount for a couple hundred miles in my '95 Saturn SL2. Even with the harder, more "slippery" plastic dash, this mount doesn't slide around. The bottom of the mount is coated in a tacky rubber material. The round suction cup mounting disk fits the default RAM suction cup and Garmin suction cup with room to spare. It will also fit my larger, older RAM suction cup. Suction power is good: I regularly lift this 3.2 pound mount by holding onto the GPS cradle.

The three "wings" of the mount are flexible and move independently of the main body of the mount. The wings help it to contour better to my dash. The wings do stick up a little bit above the plane of the suction cup mounting disk. That interfered a little bit with the bottom edge of my GPS until I rotated the GPS so that the bottom edge was then along one of the gaps.

No regrets on this purchase. I'll probably use this mount more than attaching the GPS to the windshield. It's easier to take off the dash and conceal when not in use and it also permits my wife or me to hold the GPS closer (in the passenger's seat, of course) rather than reaching up to the windshield to make navigation changes. NAVGEAR Universal Dash Mount

Both my wife and I own a GPS. Hers is a Garmin Nuvi 250W and mine is the Magellan 1470. Both units are mounted on a portable friction mounts, hers on the Garmin Portable Friction Dashboard Mount for nüvi Series and StreetPilot C5XX Series GPS Navigators (C530, C550, and C580) and mine on the NAVGEAR universal dash mount.

What I liked most about the NAVGEAR mount is that the 1470's mounting suction cup makes and maintains excellent contact with the mounting base so there is little risk of accidental release from the base. When I want to release my GPS, the 1470 and the mounting base can be easily separated and then just as easily re-attached. They remain securely joined until I release them.

What I don't like about the NAVGEAR mount is the lack of grip when using it on the dash. The lack of grip has resulted in constant risk of my GPS sliding across the dash or into my passenger's or my lap when making even a slightly hard turn and especially a sudden stop. I've had several experiences already where it literally flew across the dash and onto the floor. On the other hand, the grip on the Garmin friction mount has not once failed to hold in all but the most severe maneuvers and is by far superior to what the NAVGEAR offers. The material used on the bottom of NAVGEAR feels less flexible/firmer and although slightly textured, somewhat smooth. The material on the bottom of the Garmin mount feels somewhat softer and more pliable - almost slightly sticky.

Bottom line - if you're considering the NAVGEAR ME201133 Universal Dash Mount for a Garmin Nuvi, spend the money on the Garmin friction mount noted above. You will be much more satisfied. For other GPS brands, the NAVGEAR mount may be a reasonable alternative although you will have to live with the constant risk of your GPS slipping and sliding across the dash and onto the floor unless you find a way to improve the grip.

I ordered the navgear dash mount because I had broken the screen on my previous tom tom because it always fell off the window. The navgear has prevented my tom tom from falling forward and hitting something however it does not stay in place 100% on the dashboard. When you have to get around a corner quickly it does slide and fall to the floor. I will say though, the tom tom remained upright thru the fall because of the weight of the navgear. Another plus of the navgear is that you can just take the whole thing and hide it easily in the car w/ no marks left on your window advertising that you have a gps in your car. So, for the money it is working out for me but it's not completely up to how it was advertised. Also, it works well with the tom tom 130 - no issues with the power cord.

I have had this product for about one month. I am using it to hold a Apple iPhone Deluxe Mounting System from pocketsolutions.com, and use it mainly to hold my iPhone 3G on my Toyota Sequoia SUV. I am very satisfied with this product.

I am very familiar with many mounting systems. I have tried the mounting system that attaches to the A/C vents, but these block the vents and do not feel as sturdy. The suction cups that mount on the windshield are illegal in California and another state (I forget which one). These suction cups are not meant for daily stalling and uninstalling, as each cycle tends to wear the silicon mechanism. This means that they will more than likely be left almost permanently on windshields, which serves as an advertisement for opportunistic punks to break a window in the hopes of finding whatever piece of electronic they may think you have in the car.

The neat thing about these friction mounts is that they can be put away out of sight of thieves. They also afford the opportunity for easy adjustments and positioning while driving.

Why this particular dash mount as opposed to other friction dash mounts available. The problem with most other dash mounts is that they are circular and do not conform or negotiate the non-flat or angled dashboard surfaces found in many cars, including mine. This particular dash mount is similar to the top of the line Garmin Portable Friction Dashboard Mount for nüvi Series GPS's, which I also own for my Garmin GPS, in its versatility and stability. - Gps - Dashboard Mount - Dash Mount - Gps Mount'

Accessories - accessories, dvd burner

I had to have the "Superdrive" on my MacBook Pro replaced but fortunately it was still under the Apple Care warranty. I bought this external DVD writer in order to preserve the built in, replacement unit on my Mac. This Samsung DVD writer is great! Just plug it in and start using it. One USB connection is all that was required. There is a software disc that comes with the item, but it is primarily for a PC. I did not need it or use it. So far it has played and recorded both D5 and D9 DVD's and played and recorded CD's with no hiccups of any kind. I couldn't be more pleased. Very small, but appears to be very sturdy. Samsung USB 2.0 DVD Writer SE-S084F/RSBS (Black)

I have had this unit for only a few days, but have been putting it through its paces. On my MacBook Pro it requires ONLY ONE USB port. The device comes with a special USB cable that has a standard device USB plug on one end, but on the computer end has a "main" standard USB plug, and a second pigtailed "daughter" USB plug. The box is vague, but shows several variations on how this can be used. My interpretation is, if you have a USB 2.0 port you should be fine with just the main plug, as 2.0 provides adequate power to run most external devices. This is the case with my MacBook Pro; I can read and burn disks with just the main plug. If you have only USB 1.0, you will likely need the second plug for "power enhancement" as the box puts it. So, rather than a negative, I think it is _clever_ that they have provided a system that is backward compatible with older computers.

I have been able to read Region 2 disks, something that my internal DVD drive won't do without changing region settings. I have been able to read several public library DVDs that my Mac mysteriously refused to play at all (they weren't scratched). I have successfully written DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+R DL.

Overall, a pretty good little unit for under $40!

Cheap, but did not last. This item was used with a MacBook which had a defective DVD drive. After little usage, and a month after the warranty expired, it would not play 80% of the cd's or dvd's I tried.

I usually buy Samsung products because I believe in the quality, but I found this purchase very disappointing. It worked very well until one day, it wouldn't recognize any disk. We didn't use it very often, and realized that it was almost new. After hours of troubleshooting, etc., we finally gave up. Now I need to spend $$ on something else, as my netbook really does need a CD writer.

I was looking for a DVD player that would play the DVDs I acquired overseas. One of the few misfortunes of having a Mac is that the DVD region is set in the firmware, and not the software like it is for PCs. (This is why programs like AnyDVD, etc. work only for Windows.) This drive was an easy-to-use and very affordable option. You simply plug it into the USB drive (there's two USB heads, one for the device itself and one for charging, I'm guessing), pop in a DVD and the computer recognizes it. Isn't it ironic how more expensive products are generally more limited on what they can do?

I've bought two of these Samsung units in the past two weeks. Each one died after reading in about 30 or so music CDs into iTunes. If I switched the power off for about an hour, they would come back to life; but after another dozen or so CDs, they both failed completely. Avoid this product!

Every time I put a disc in, the device spits it back out and does not finish the job it is intended to do. Also, the button to open the disc door does not work. I have to unplug the usb and plug it back in just to get the disc out. In addition, the Samsung customer service team did absolutely nothing to assist me. I would not recommend this product at all.

I just set this up today. It required no installation, and I did not use the CD that came with it. I'm glad I had already read someone's review that said not to bother with Nero, as it is just a trial version without sound, and instead installed free VLC media player. Nor did I bother with the firmware thing. I played a dvd, an audio cd, and stored some various types of files on a blank cd. I have a Samsung series 9 notebook and it worked great with only one usb plugged in. However, after reading some of these reviews, I'm a little concerned. I actually ordered the C model, but got the F. I hope it lasts, as the C and D models got much better review than the F model.

Specs look good, price was decent. Bought one, have replaced it twice, now asking for refund. All three units show "Sector 0 Error". It's not my computer or other equipment--I tried multiple copies, of several source dvd's, switched cables, rebooted burner and computer several times. Another brand's burner does not show this error. Called Samsung tech support and was told each time that the unit was defective/send it back.

Samsung makes a number of good-quality electronic products. This is not one of them.

NOT WORKING AT THE END OF THE RECORDING not eject the disc and fails.

VERY DISSATISFIED WANT to give me an answer to my problem.

I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH PURCHASES MADE FROM AMAZON WITH THIS PROBLEM BUT I am disappointed

African American Children - kids, melissa and doug

Santa brought this for my two-year-old, who is learning her letters. She loves to play with this and loves drawing on the chalk board. I haven't let her have the dry erase marker yet, but she does have some dry erase crayons (from a craft store) that work really well on it. My only wish is that Melissa & Doug could make this a sliding case so there would be a place to store those 30+ magnets (ABCs + numbers) that inevitably get scattered. One nice thing is that the magnets are contained within the letters, not glued on the back, so it's impossible for the magnet to come off. Tape - scotch, packing tape

I've used this packaging tape, and one other brand, for years. I love the ease of use and the strength of the tape. It meets all United States Post Office Standards and I use it for sealing all my packages. I highly recommend it. 3M 341 Scotch Clear Packaging Tape, 2-Inch x 800-Inch, 6-Pack

I've been using this product for many years and have never been disappointed. The tape has excellent holding strength and the dispenser is easy to use. You can use this dispenser one handed or two handed, despite what another reviewer mentioned. One very nice design element of the dispenser is a feature to prevent the tape from reattaching itself to the roll, making the end hard to find; little tabs catch the end of the tape for you. 3M produces a consistently good product.

I bought a roll of this tape about 2 weeks ago and today I tossed out the remainer - about 90%.

I tried to use it on a regular cardboard box. The tape peeled off easily; it did not stick.

I tried a second time, thinking maybe the first section was bad. I had the same experience.

If I had thought to keep the receipt, I would have taken it back to the store. I was good money on what I thought was a reputable brand.

If you are in Office Max - buy their brand. It is much, much better.

I've been using this type of packing tape for a couple of years now and I really like it. I started using this tape to replace my large handheld roller for a number of reasons: this tape rips off much easier, is stronger and has less problems twisting. I've had no problems ripping the tape off the attached cutter - never had to use scissors. This tape has stuck well on any box or poly mailer I've used.

The larger handheld tape roller would twist up on itself and it drove me crazy. These are much easier to use.

Pros:

Very strong tape - mailed many packages and the tape holds up well

Easy to rip tape off the cutter - just a small twist of the wrist and it cuts off

Tape does not fold up on itself - less waste

Easier to hold than a large roller - can easily hold the box shut with one hand and use the roller with the other hand

Lightweight rolls compared to a large roller - I found the larger rollers to be so top heavy that they can be clunky

Cons

A little more expensive than the large rollers but I use less and don't waste much because it doesn't twist or fold

Currently its on a daisy wheel press, applying lamination to my home printed business cards! It is the perfect size for the cards. My business cards are now indestructible AND water-proof. Thanks 3M for this 2in. tape!

I was really bothered that the Sams identical product was 30% cheaper. The Sams tape also had more tape on each roll!

This req 2 hands to operate: one to hold the tape and the other to roll it out. The "yellow" dispensers hold the tape in such a way that only one hand is needed. - Packing Tape - Tape - Scotch - 3m'

Paul Walker - dwayne johnson, paul walker

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster team up again for some more heart pounding adrenaline action. This movie takes place after Fast and Furious. The film brings the crew back together in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil for one last job to get their freedom before disappearing forever. Some of the previous stars through the past Fast and Furious films return, including Tyrese Gibson, (Roman Pearce - 2 Fast 2 Furious) Ludacris (Tej - 2 Fast 2 Furious), Gal Gadot, (Gisele - Fast and Furious) Matt Schulze (Vince -The Fast and Furious) and Sung Kang (Han - Tokyo Drift) all return for one of the most action packed Fast and Furious movies ever. They are faced with a tough federal agent Luke Hoobs (the Rock) who will stop at nothing to hunt them down. I will not give away any more but, I'm happy to say Fast Five does not disappoint. This Movie is action packed from start to finish, and even though it has many over the top moments it is still one heck of an enjoyable action ride. Just like the original film that started it all, this new and final installment will also have you on the edge of your seat. Don't listen to bitter critics, if you like a fun entertaining movie to take you away from your life for a few hours check this movie out! Beware, the extended cut of the movie primarily adds minor content changes; there is one new scene, which is detailed below.

The Extended Cut is slightly over one minute longer than the theatrical cut, most new scenes add just CGI blood, most of the time the blood being barely noticeable.

1) When Zizi's armed thugs attack Toretto's hideout, one of the thugs has his gun turned on himself by Toretto with CGI blood added in.

2) When Hobbs attacks three of Zizi's thugs in the favela shootout, there is re-inserted CGI blood when Hobbs shoots one and knifes the other. The neck breaking of the last thug seems a little more brutal.

3) Hobbs' men fire on Zizi's thugs for a few seconds longer.

4) Slightly extended scene where Tej asks for a duplicate safe.

5) New scene: Discussion by Toretto's crew regarding breaking into the safe and transporting it. They discuss the existence of the bathroom having a ventilation shaft which leads to the garage. This scene then segues to Leo and Santos.

6) Toretto/Hobbs fight scene slightly longer and more brutal.

7) Chato receives a few bloody bullet rounds in the favela ambush scene.

8) Zizi's thugs are gunned down more graphically by Toretto's crew in the favela ambush scene.

This is just a great film. It's fun, it's loud, it's got story, and it's got gorgeous girls and amazing cars. That's the recipe for an awesome blockbuster. I'd heard the hype, and had always planned to see it, but I didn't know it would be as good as it was. it was just bada**. I came to Amazon the minute it was over to try and pre-order the Blu-ray--it is that good. Sure, it's cliche a lot of the time, but cliche doesn't have to be a bad thing. If you liked the original film then this is right on par with that--I think it's even better.I can't wait for the 6th one to come out!

This film is utterly amazing from the opening scene..I was quiet as a mouse the entire 2 hours of this whole movie..i just couldn't take my eyes off the screen or yelling wooo in excitement of the absolutely amazing action sequences.. very breathtaking some of the best action scenes since Bad Boy 2...Everyone was great from Paul Walker to the surprisingly hilarious Tyrese Gibson..The Rock was just excellent and was an interesting and smart addition to the cast.. like I said everyone was great which also made the film an even better feeling in the end.I find it hard for any other film being released this summer season too be as good as this 1 right here..because Fast 5 was a summer blockbuster at it's ultimate best.Hands Down the best of the Fast franchise.!!!!!!!!!!!!! A

The title for this ongoing sequel to Fast and Furious is, it seems, related to the number of films based on this fast driving bunch of car fanatics than to the number of people in the tribe. What makes this series of Pow and Wow action flicks stand above many of its competitors is the tremendous sense of fun the cast seems to be having - leaping over rooftops, driving fast cars, pulling off impossible heists. It all ends in a sense of fun and introduces the teaser for the next in the series (a bit with Eva Mendes and Jason Mignot in a brief talk after the credits run pretty much guarantees the next installment). This time the guys and girls - Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel), his sister Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster), her boyfriend ex-cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker), Vince (Matt Schulze), Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), Tej Parker (Ludacris), Han Lue (Sung Kang), Gisele Harabo (Gal Gadot) Tego Leo (Tego Calderon), and Rico Santos (Don Omar) - gather in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - each in various stages of running from the past - hunted by FBI Agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and in desperate need for money to escape Rio to countries where they cannot be extradited. They discover the one last job opportunity - taking away the money that billionaire Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) takes from the money houses in the infamous Rio favelas district. It takes the talent of the entire crew to make the heist of heists as the safe where the illegal money is kept is in the police station in a huge vault that is impenetrable - until our gang takes over in likely the most interesting and entertaining chase scene on film. The rest of the story is fluff but nice - with a little love interest thrown in for good measure. This cast is strong and they pull of the fine line between comedy and drama very well. In the end this is a fast and entertaining escape film. And #6 will probably come soon! Grady Harp, October 11 - Dwayne Johnson - Automotive - Action - Paul Walker'

Costumes - caps, cap

My 6 year old is a huge Super Mario fan and he loves wearing this cap and acting like Mario. I made a felt 'M' emblem for the front, got white gloves and fake moustaches and he just loves it! The cap is superbly made with a very comfortable fit. The inside is lined with a silky material and is very soft, yet extremely durable. The bright red also is highly visible. I love this cap! Cotton Elastic Newsboy Cap-Red 2

I'm a 24 year old female and wanted to be Mario for Halloween. This hat fit perfect and looked great. It is also high quality and well worth the price. I'll be incorporating it into my normal attire as a statement piece. Great all around!

Used this hat as the base for my Mario costume.

I simply bought some cheap felt squares at the craft store and cut out the M logo and used some craft glue to glue it onto the front of the hat.

Everyone loved the way it came out and it was much cheaper than buying the cheap looking premade Mario hat.

The hat seemed to be of good quality and fit well, it has an elastic band to fit multiple head sizes.

Overall its a great hat.

I purchased the red and the green newsboy caps last year for Halloween. I felt that for 6.99 it was going to be a felt hat of poor quality, but I wasn't concerned as it was only for one night. Imagine my surprise when these hats are lined, great construction, and have lasted my boys the entire year. Lots of colors to choose from, these are also great vintage looking hats.

Had wonderful service when I ordered 15 red newsboy hats. Our church choir wore them on Pentecost Sunday and also to show support for two members who had just completed chemotherapy. Got the hats right away as I didn't have much time to pull this together. Very impressed with the company that sold them. Later ordered 5 more of the same thing.

EllenCotton Elastic Newsboy Cap-Red 2

I actually purchased this hat for part of a child's costume. We got the red hat for Mario and the green hat for Luigi. The hats were shipped and received extremely quickly. The hat is of a very nice quality, especially for the reasonable price. We are still a few weeks away from Halloween and we can't wait to put the whole costume together and go out in public. The hats are definitely the best part of the outfit. - Red - Hat - Cap - Caps'

I used IM+ last year -- a great product, great interface, worked without a hitch. Or so I thought.Turns out, logins to any IM services are done via an IM+ server, with no way (at least at that time) to opt out of it. What that means is that your username and password are sent to IM+ and they login on your behalf. They do this to enable some of their features, like not dropping messages as you drive into and out of contact with cell towers.I saw no indication that the folks behind IM+ were doing anything wrong with the passwords, but the architecture is such that someone else may be intercepting those username and passwords and harvesting them, and I couldn't take that chance. And to be fair, several other IM apps do the same thing.Caveat User! IM+ Pro All-in-One Messenger

I tried using this for about 10-15 minutes while at home chatting with a friend. Just not impressed. It's slow, the UI is clunky/unrefined. It just really doesn't make me want to use it for chatting on my phone. Trillian on the other hand is refined, fast, and does what I want. New features and updates are consistently added, and most importantly, it does what it's supposed to do, as advertised.EDIT: There are reports that Amazon doesn't update Trillian on their app store as frequently as the Android Market. I would suggest getting it on the official Android Market just to be sure you get the most recent version and it's updates when they are released. - Ebook Reader - Android - Fire - Amazon Kindle Fire'

Texas Longhorns - throw blankets, fan gear

I have enjoyed this throw from day one. The quality of the throw is excellent. It's very soft with great stitching and is a nice size. It will easily cover most sofas if you choose to lay under it. As a Texas alum, I'm very proud to show my friends and other Texas Exes this throw. Great product! Texas Longhorns Embroidered Fleece Throw (50 x 70-inch)

Maybe I just go a lemon, but I had to return this because the blanket was in such poor condition. The embroidery was fine, but the blanket was just of very poor quality in my opinion with lopsided seems and some seriously loose threading throughout the whole blanket. It's a bummer because my brother would have loved it.

This was perfect for my grandkids. The blanket was a nice weight. Not flimsy like some you buy. It washes great with no pills and is color true to the longhorns. The fleece is very solf and cuddly and is a good 10 inches longer than most. They even use them to cover up at the games on those few cold ones. - Fan Gear - Throw Blankets'

I tried on these shoes on a whim because of the fun bright colors, not really thinking I would purchase a pair. I couldn't believe how comfortable they were and how cute they look on. I purchase two pairs and wear them all the time. Several of my friends have now purchased them and love them. The variety of colors are really fun, too. So far, they are very durable. Alegria By PG Lite Alg-702 Chocolate Snake Chocolate 40

I am an RN. I got rid of all my other shoes including Nike Shoxx, Skechers, Crocs, etc once I tried these shoes on. My feet, ankles and legs are not fatigued after running around all day. I swear by them. They do have a tendency to squeak because they are leather but if you remove the liner and sprinkle baby powder underneath it takes care of the problem quickly. I own several pairs and continue to buy them in different designs. My coworkers and patients love them!

I feel sorry for the people who said they don't like these shoes. I've never loved any shoe more. i used to think my crocs were comfortable or even aerosoles, but these have them both beat. This is the first shoe I have worn without a break-in period and my feet felt fabulous by the end of the day. I love slip ons so that's another plus for me. Next time I may try a pair of maryjane styled Alegria. I had never heard of them before I purchased my first pair. The moment I tried them on I was like: yes!!! So I bought them and finished walking around and everything. Before I went home that day I bought another pair. Obviously everyone's preferences are different, but you have to decideon your own. Try to find them in a store first and just try it on. I say that because to just look at them online without experiencing them is hard to justify the price. If they make your feet feel anything like mine did you'll agree they're worth the price. Also you can sometimes find them cheaper in the stores. Happy shopping!

I was wearing crocs with a lot of my clothing - not too attractive with nicer outfits! Tried the Alegria clogs on in a new shoe store - thought they were cute and the colors were great. I wore them out of the store and all that night - never hurt or had blisters from "new shoes". I then wore them the next day to a festival - I am usually looking for someplace to sit since my feet hurt. I stood for hours and forgot to complain about my feet. Great price point, great selection of colors and material, great for the feet - what more could one want?

I love these shoes - I purchased them in WHITE PATENT LEATHER to match my Louis Vuitton Vernis Summit Drive in PEARL and they look amazing. Both fun and comfy. I went back to buy a pair of RED and they look fantastic. Now I got my sister crazy about these shoes as well!!!

I just purchased these shoes at a shoe stored and paid more for them, but they are so comfy and so cute. I wear them to work and at home. I am looking to buy another pair. They are roomy and great for heel problems.

LOVE THEM!!!!!

I bought these shoes in brown for work in surgery, on hard concrete floors, on my feet a lot. My feet were hurting all the time, wearing a good pair of Merrells. When I started wearing these, my feet thought they'd gone to heaven! They just don't hurt when I wear these. I have gradually gotten 4 pairs, two at work, one pair of clogs and one pair of sandals for everyday. They are the only shoes I've found that my feet actually don't hurt. I wish they were a little dressier, but then they'd probably hurt!'
