Usb Flash Drives

I was needing a flash drive quick when I lost all my others, and found this on the listings. I had a 4 GB Red Verbatim flash drive before with good experiences with that. I bought this in the afternoon and thanks to Amazon Prime, had it a couple of days later. This drive is definitely durable since I'm a college student in technology classes, so this thing gets tossed around, plugged in and out at multiple various times during the day. It also always travels with me in my pocket, and no matter what has happened to my jeans, be they wet or dry, this thing stays kickin. One of the high points of this flash drive is the sliding mechanism. As you can see by the picture, the flash drive slides back into the casing when not being used. This allows it to stay compact while keeping the ending clean and clear. This mechanism is sturdy and you know it will stay open or closed. They didn't cheap out on the casing.

Overall, for the price and the storage it's a great buy that can't be beat. Verbatim 32 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive 97408 (Blue)

There are still two reasons to buy this thumb drive over other choices. First, it's pretty cheap. They're more or less all the same on the inside, and they're all made in China, so there's not a lot differentiating the guts. Sometimes some cheap ones can be slow, doesn't seem to be the case here. Worked fine on a MacBook Pro and a Vista laptop.

Second, the loop at the end is big enough to hook into a keyring, which is exactly what I want it for. I have it clipped inside my backpack where it's always handy but not in danger of accidentally falling out.

Its fast, has a large capacity, easy to use, and unlike most other USB flash drives, theres no cap to lose! It fits nicely on your key ring and its retractable mechanism is great. Its also one of the less expensive flash drives on the market. The only thing I don't like, or wish that this flash drive had is a mechanism to lock the USB head in the protruding position so that you can stick it into the computer easily. I sometimes find myself having trouble making sure the USB drive is in the computer and didn't just retract back into its plastic case. Other than that little issue, this USB flash drive is best on the market and a great bang for your buck.

I have had a verbatim (Red - 8gb) flash drive (http://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-Store-Flash-ReadyBoost-96317/dp/B0018DJIUG/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top) for over 4yrs and have had no problems. I decided to buy a bigger flash drive so I bought the 16gb at $23.99 (FYI it actually has 14.9gb to use which I believe it is normal), which I have had for a couple days. I have two main slight disappointments. One being the flash drive doesn't blink when in use. This might be a flaw with my device. Also it is a lot slower than my Red verbatim flash drive. I haven't done it exact testing, but between two types of transfer:

Transfer 1: Several (~115 mb total) small files (~34kb) it took the blue flash drive almost 35 mins compare to my red one which took 5 mins. (This file transfer was an exacting process as well)

Transfer 2: Several movie files (700 mb about 2.1gb) it took the blues flash drive almost 20 mins compare to my red one which took 5 mins

When I purchased the flash drive I was expecting to use it as a transferring flash drive from computer to computer, but with the slower transfer rates I decided to use it as a back drive. Overall I'm content with the flash drive. It is a good buy for the amount of space gained.

I love that this fits on a key ring, and can be retracted into the casing. I password protect my files and use it for both work and personal use. When I travel, I don't have to take my computer if I can borrow one at my destination. I bought a second one of these to use as a short term backup.

Ive needed a usb flash drive several times, so i finally broke and just bought one, this one was pretty cheap for the amount of gigs it holds

What can i say about it? its a flash drive it does what i need, take files i need with me where ever i go

Overall it feels sturdy and i love that i can put it on my key chain, so im happy :)

OK, the reason I got this was that it was blue. I already have a stack of these in red, all password proteted, and I wanted one that was color-coded as my unprotected go-to.

The problem is, in Verbatim's protected mode, it won't allow large files. So you can't store a 5-Gb database backup, for example. But if you format the stick with NTSB, and don't include the protection zone file, you can store a full 15-16 Gb file to it with no problem. So anything you store to this is now unprotected, or you can WinZip it and put a password on it.

The one thing this one does not do that my others do is have a blinking LED indicating it's connected or it's transferring data. I don't THINK that's because it's been reformatted (because I used to do that with one of the red sticks and I don't recall having that issue). I don't know if that's by design or it's a defect.

But it's definitely nice knowing WHICH of the handful of sticks is now the "unprotected" one. Labels are nice, but obvious color coding is better.

This is a great little flash drive! The thing about it that I love the most is that it can be attached to my key ring so I don't leave it behind anywhere. I have a tendency to get distracted at times and have been known to leave my previous flash drive stuck in the computer. Also, even though my key ring is rather heavy, it doesn't pull the flash drive loose from the computer at all. It's made of a very sturdy plastic and has survived a lot abuse from me so far. I will definitely buy another one should I run out of space on my current one.'

Cpu Coolers - cpu coolers, am2

This cooler is about what you would expect from a near copy of the stock cooler that's currently being shipped (October 2009) with Intel Core 2 Duos. It is quieter than the stock cooler, but only just. Instead of a whining noise from the stock cooler, you get a less annoying sound of air being pushed around by this one. I only would consider this as a replacement for a stock cooler that broke, or if you have a bare chip, especially if you're going for a very low profile. The price is definitely worth the trouble too. (To note, "quiet" for me is somewhere around 15 dBA MAX acoustics, not nominal. Also note, that I tested this for stock and overclock configurations using a Core 2 Duo E8400 [3.0GHz].) Cooler Master X Dream 4 Aluminum Extrusion Fins CPU Cooler - (RR-LEE-L911-GP)

I paid $20 for the cooler. It went basically right in. It didn't catch all 4 corners but I'm not worried about it, it'll come out easier when I upgrade the CPU. It got my computer running and I expect good service from it. If you can't find better, I recommend it.

I needed a cooler for a socket 775 Celeron D 336, and wasn't looking to spend a heck of a lot of money. This looks and behaves very similar to the stock intel cooler. It's not whisper quiet, but just above, and isn't what I would describe as 'loud.' With a fairly hefty and warm graphics card (an 8800GTS) in a fairly not well ventilated case, the CPU temperature averages out at about 52C - hot, but not dangerously so. This cooler won't win any awards for cooling prowess, but it does the job for cheap.

this is a well made product with a classic design made to fit inside tight spaces. while smaller and better than the stock cooler, you *will* get up to about 61c on the quad core unless you are in a high air flow tower. and of course if you were, you wouldn't need this you'd get something larger.

but in a HTPC this is great, just get better case fans if you run the quad core.

TOO LOUD PLUS IT DON'T FIT RIGHT SO I JUST BOUGHT A DIFFERENT ONE THAT HAS A PLATE 4 UNDER THRE THE BOARD WITH IS BETTER

PLUS IT MAKES BUNTCH OF RACKET LIKE IF THE FAN GOING 2 FALL OF THE BOARD SO DON'T BUY THIS ITEM IT'S ALL PLASTIC LEGS NOT LIKE THE ONCE THAT HAVE THE PLATE

Y IT WAS SO CHEAP, U EVER HEAR THE JOKE ABOUT THE BIRD WHO FLEW OVER KMART LOL....CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP LOL KMART FALL APART WELL THIS IS LIKE THIS ITEM...

Nice, cheap, silent, and effective. Bought it to replace a Masscool cooler that was bigger, heavier, screw-mounted, and that (a) made way too much noise (including unpleasant vibration noise) and (b) didn't cool as well. This cooler keeps an E6750 Core 2 Duo 8-10 degrees celsius cooler than the Masscool cooler, and with the case sides on it's basically quiet.

Had to actually read the directions, because the snap-in posts are more complicated than they were in the olden days--they have multiple positions for releasing/installing and initially this threw me off as I thought two of them were not latching correctly.

Would totally buy again and recommend this cooler to others.

I bought this to replace a fan in an old computer machine that sounded like a hair drier. The order arrived quickly and the fan installs very quickly (After wrenching the old one out of the machine, which was not as easy.) Best of all, it is nearly silent, even at full speed. - Cpu Coolers - Cooling - Am2 - Cpu Cooler'

Ac-dc Power Adapter - ac adapter, acdc adapters

In case anyone else is wondering this adapter's max output is 500mA or one-half Ampere. The item description does not mention this and I had to search the Internet to find out. Before ordering an AC adapter make sure it can output enough current to meet your device's needed. Ordered this from Amazon; it shipped and was received promptly. The item I received was brand new and preset to 110V. Upon testing the DC voltage output and polarity I discovered the output voltage DOES NOT MATCH the labeled values and was in fact twice the labeled values! Be very careful when using this product and test it with a multimeter before plugging it into your electronics. I don't know if this problem is specific to the item I received or whether it is common to all of this model. In my case I needed 12V but when I set it to 12V the measured output was 25V! I had to set it to 6V to make it output 12.5V. On the positive side the polarity switch is correct, the powered red indicator LED works and the unit runs cool to the touch. Can't attest to the long-term quality of the product as I've only had it for a day but may update this review later. Cables Unlimited AUD-6000 Universal AC/DC Power Adapter (Black)

Works great and as intended. I'll have many uses for this.

For now, I used the 9 volt connector and wired it to my baby's battery operated swing. This is a much better alternative to burning through 4-D batteries every other week or using rechargeable batteries that are AA in D clothing.

I've had one of these models for at least five years now, and have left it plugged in constantly for all five years. I use it to power a walkman that I listen to at night with headphones so as not to disturb anyone else, and a small model is better to keep on a nightstand than a full radio. The adapter works perfectly fine for the job intended.

It started getting kinda hot a couple years ago, but nothing I really worry about. Just keep blankets or other flammables away from it should you be worried about this. My only real complaint is the wire inside the plastic coating broke. Once it's been used so long and the cord bent so much, the wire just snapped. Now to get my walkman to work, I have to bend the adapter's cord at odd angles until the CD starts and then hope nothing accidently bumps into the cord forcing me to spend another 10-plus minutes finding that perfect angle to get it to work again.

As I said, I have kept this adapter plugged in constantly for the last five years, and having only paid 5 dollars the first time, I consider this a pretty good buy. Definitely plan on getting another one, probably two so when one breaks in five years, I'll have a replacement. This is a perfectly good adapter for use on small things, and stood up to constant use very well. I can't speak for anyone wanting to use this item on larger appliances, but for small things, I definitely reccomend it.

I bought this item to power a guitar wah pedal. I'm tired of switching out 9v batteries. Unfortunately it causes a terrible hum in the amp so I can't use it. I don't fault the makers of this item because I'm sure this isn't the intended purpose. It seems to be decently made and would work for other applications

Unfortunately this universal adapter was not so universal. I used to have one years ago and I could hook that up to my cd-player but this one didn't fit on a locally bought cd-player nor on old one I have from Europe. I wonder what everyday appliance works on it. And on top of it the casing of the power block was not straight.

A bit disappointing to say the least.

This item is for use when you cannot find your power cord to your laptop, or some other medium to small device. It is multi-functional and arrived when seller said it would arrive. It is a cord, what else can someone say about it. Just make sure it has the power you need for whatever you intend to use it for. - Acdc Adapters - Ac-dc - Power Supply - Ac Adapter'

Digital Camera - sandisk, memory card

I'm using this card (with the associated reader) with my Canon XSI. While the speed of the card exceeds the requirements of the camera, the fast read speed is a real boon when I need to move hundreds of RAW image files to my PC. The included reader is required for this, as the SD reader in my PC cannot handle this SDHC card. Very happy, I love the fast read speed this card supports. SanDisk Extreme HD Video 8 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card SDSDRX3-8192-A21

For the professional photographer or the serious (obsessed) amateur this card is a must buy. You really can't beat the price/value ratio here. This is a fully certified Class 6 card which ensures a data read/write of 20MB/s (Class 6 is the fastest type in the SDHC profile). In fact I like these cards so much this is my second one, I have a 4GB of the same kind. If you use it with a point-and-shoot camera this will definitely be overkill but you can rest assured that it won't let you down. Great product by SanDisk.

Note: Most of us know this is a SDHC card not a regular SD. Regular SD cards are limited to 2GB, if you see a SD card that states a higher capacity be aware that it is essentially a "hack" and the card will not be reliable. I've read horror stories of entire projects gone down the drain because of those cards. 4GB and above will always have to be SDHC; therefore they will be capable of working ONLY with SDHC compatible devices.

I have several other Extreme III cards and they are great. I use on in a Panasonic Lumix FZ-50 digital camaera, and it works great in burst mode shooting. Sice the card is SDHC format, you need the included card reader when using on a computer to copy files. Small price to pay for high capacity, fast write speeds. Excellent product.

I've waited for quite some time for this chip to come down in price! If you shoot much in raw mode then you need this! I originally bought the 2gb version of this when I bought my Pentax K10d 10megapixel. With the 2gb chip I didn't take too many photos in raw mode due to it only allowed a little over 100 shots. With the 8gb chip the camera shows room for almost 500 shots but that is not entirely accurate because not every shot is the max size of 16mb so you actually get more than what the camera says you will get. On top of all of this, this chip is the fastest I've been able to find that will keep up with the continuous shot feature. I usually get 8 or 9 shots without any delay before it slows down. My camera takes 3 hots per second so I get three seconds of fast action shooting. After a few seconds of saving all those I can start all over again. I use my 2gb for backup now just in case I fill the 8gb up. I have yet to need to use my backup chip!

Only SD cards I buy are from SanDisk as they're fast, reliable, good value as you often with the higher end and larger cards, you get a pouch, reader and retrieval software and the warranty is unbeatable. You don't get all of that with other brands even with brands such as Kingston which will undoubtedly be more expensive.

These are expensive but worth it if you need a true high speed card for trouble free HD video work. If you're just shooting still pics, or lower resolution video, this card is likely overkill and the SanDisk Ultra (Class 4) is plenty fast. The exception would be a D-SLR shooting rapid bursts of stills in RAW mode where this card would likely speed things up. But for shooting JPGs, or anything but full 1080HD video, you're unlikely to notice any difference between this card and the Ultra.

If you read the reviews here, and elsewhere, you'll find lots of frustrated people who got an error recording 1080HD several minutes into a video. Sometimes their card ended up corrupted, and in some cases, they even lost EVERYTHING on the card. That can happen when you use a card that can't keep up with your camera.

While it's rated Class 6, the Extreme is far faster in testing than even most Class 10 cards from other companies. Using ATTO-DISK, the same benchmark software some of the pros use, this card clocks in around 30MB/sec write speeds (class 6 cards only have to meet a minimum of 6MB/sec).

There are also some in-camera tests published that show SanDisk Ultra to be among the fastest. Plus you know SanDisk will honor the 30 year warranty unlike some of the no-name cards.

Most Class 6 cards I've tested, including those from Transcend, Lexar and Kingston, only manage 10MB/sec - 15MB/sec on the exact same benchmark. So this SanDisk Extreme card is 5X faster than the spec, and 2X - 3X faster than competing Class 6 cards. But it does cost more.

Also, for what it's worth, I've had cards from Transcend and A-Data fail. But I've never had a SanDisk or Kingston card fail despite getting heavier use. If you're shooting pics/video that are difficult (or impossible) to replace, it's worth spending more on a quality card.

WARNING: Anything you put this card in (camera, PC, card reader, etc.) has to be SDHC compatible (usually it will say SDHC on it). Most things made in the last few years are, but not all. If you have a cheaper or older device that doesn't support SDHC, you're limited to a maximum size of 2GB. If you put a larger SDHC card into an older SD-only device, you could corrupt the card and lose everything on it.

So it's best to experiment to make sure your device, PC, etc. are all SDHC compatible before you fill the card up with irreplaceable images/video only to lose everything by plugging this 8GB card into your 4 year old PC's 2GB reader.

I baselined one 8GB SDHC Extreme iii 20MB/s card against two of Transcend's 8GB SDHC class 6 cards and found the write speeds to be 3x as fast. I copied both 100MB and 600MB folders to the Extreme iii card in 8 sec and 41 sec respectively yielding roughly a 14MB/s write speed. Transcend's cards required 23 & 25 sec to write a 100MB folder yielding roughly a 4.5MB/s write speed. - 8gb - Sd Card - Memory Card - Sandisk'

Kettlebells - fitness, strength

I had never heard of the kettlebell workout but through a random search on Amazon I found it and was intrigued. There were very few reviews but the premise sounded like something I would enjoy so I took a shot and ordered it.

In order for you to make a well informed decision in regard to purchasing this product or not I want to share with you my fitness level as well as my experience using the Kettlebell and Video in comparison to other fitness activities as well as who I personally think could benefit from this and who I think shouldn't consider it.

My Fitness Level And What Size Kettlebell

I have a recumbent exercise bike at home and I workout on that at least 5 days a week. I do 1 hour on the bike at least 3 days a week (sometimes 5) and the other days I never do less than 45 minutes I also use 2-3 pound hand weights for half the time I am on the bike. After I get off the bike I then do some floor exercises and hand weights between 3 and 5 pounds each. Prior to starting this fitness routine which I gradually worked up to over 8 months ago, I was recovering from some very serious health problems. Prior to that I had been in excellent shape most of my adult life always working out at the gym. Moving on...I ordered the 10 pound kettlebell and I am thrilled with that amount of weight, it's actually the perfect amount for me. Any heavier, I would not be able to do it and think I could easily injure myself. So, I personally think if you are in excellent shape and used to lifting weights you MAY want the 15 pounder but the exercises you will be doing with the KB are so different that I think it would be much better for most people to work up to the higher weight and not jump in with the 15 pound size.

The Exercises

So, the exercises you will be doing with the kettlebell are full range of motions with both arms, and a TON of squats. I have been using the kettlebell after I get off of the bike and can tell you currently I can't last more than 15 minutes. I personally subscribed to working up to things so I felt great after I finished, I will continue doing the bike then the kettlebell for 15 minutes for 1 week and then move up to 20 or 25 minutes etc...

The Workout

For me, this is one serious workout workout. What I mean by that is, this is no step class or kickboxing, this is super hard core. Again, for my physical state this is how I experience the workout. Now if you are in much better shape than me, it will be easier for you or if you are just starting an exercise routine it will be harder...it's all relative. The moves you perform really need to be done with absolute correct form and that is what I really concentrate on in order to get the most out of it. The proper form is not difficult to get the hang of at all. And, like all other exercises, you should go at your own pace.

The DVD

This is the biggest disappointment. I thought the DVD was going to be a real workout type of DVD where it was entertaining and there would be a class you were following or at least an instructor. No, that's not the case. Basically there is a woman performing the exercises who does not speak, rather the instructor speaks but is not seen. WEIRD. There are also breaks between each exercise. It's very boring and I mean VERY boring. But, here's the good part. The DVD does teach you how to do each exercise properly and really that's all you need. I don't need to watch someone to motivate myself, I am very motivated plus you really can't have the correct form if you are watching someone as you are doing some of these moves. What I do is I tape a ton of shows that I never get to watch that are the real riveting types that I'm very interested in....i.e. American Justice, Mystery Diagnosis or one of my favorites Animal Precinct and I watch those when I am doing my bike or my weights or the Kettlebell and the time flies. I basically use the Kettlebell as another weight and cardio workout along with my bike and I just follow the proper form doing numerous repetitions; it's working out great for me. I *may* buy another DVD but I doubt it - though if you enjoy those - I would say go for it because the one that comes with the kettlebell is limited.

Who Should And Who Shouldn't

Anyone interested in exercise and enjoys the convenience of working out at home should definitely get this. I love it and it's REALLY good exercise and I can't possibly see someone not getting into better shape with this. If you have knee problems, I would not recommend this to you unless you have no problems with squats. If you want to tighten your booty and tone your arms and legs... ORDER NOW!!

The Kettlebell workout is such a fantastic change from the usual; it's a lot of fun, challenging and an excellent overall workout. The KB itself is very small and easy to store almost anywhere. I can recommend this workout without reservation, just concentrate on your form and take it slow! I truly hope this review has been helpful in your decision to purchase The GoFit KettleBell (10 LB) and DVD set or not, I'm thrilled with mine and look forward to doing it every day! GoFit 10-Pound Yellow Kettlebell with Vinyl Coating, Training DVD and Exercise Booklet

I have lifted weights for several years; but a recent article in FITNESS magazine made me curious to try kettlebells. Not knowing anything about them, I went to Amazon and ordered the 10# with dvd,and the booklet. I am now using a 15# kettlebell, on my own. I highly recommend the GoFit kettlebell & dvd. You really need to learn the moves and correct form, but kettlebells are one heck of a workout. I dont use resistance bands, or dumbbells much anymore. I am 56, am losing body fat, and overall I feel better and stronger in my back and legs than I have in a long time. These GoFit 'kits' are well worth the money. Go for it!

I enjoy following the Iron Core exercise routine with the kettlebell. It's a lot of squats, which normally bother my knees, but somehow swinging the kettlebell must help with form. My knees haven't bothered me, and, I mean, you really do lots of squats. It gets my heart rate right up there, so it's good aerobic exercise at the same time as strengthening your muscles. My neck and shoulders feel better and I can feel less fat in that area. I bought a follow along exercise DVD at Target once I had the basic idea down from the enclosed DVD. - Fitness - Kettlebell - Weight Training - Strength'

Countdown Timer - digital, digital watch

The style of the watch is great. Not for everybody but perfect for some, like me. It gets some laughs because it is gold (in color) but just a basic casio digital. Its kind of a gag but very stylish to me. You will probably be the only person you know wearing one of these. I particularly like the flat gold colored plastic face, which is a nice subtle contrast with the shiny golden metal. In the 10 or 12 months that I have been wearing it the time has never wavered. The full-screen blue backlight is nice looking and fun, but it stopped working shortly after I got it, then suddenly started working again briefly, and now never works. (still keeping time perfectly though) I bought it here on Amazon, but it is not stocked by Amazon. I think these ones for sale are old stock, with batteries running all the while. ...Also, having not been very careful and washing my hands often at work, the watch has tarnished on many of the edges. I havent looked closely, but it appears irreversable. Still, this is my favorite watch ever, and I'm about to buy another. I thought I would alternate with the casio calculator watch I bought around the same time, but my habit quickly became wearing this gold one all the time. Casio Men's Dress watch #A168WG9

Please pardon my english, it is not my born language

Im a 19 year old male, student.

I like this watch a lot.

seems to me that it has been seeling good, first time i bought it from watch colony it was $20.00, that was less than a year ago, then I ordered another one and the cost was 22.00.. now it is 24.00...

however,

i did not give the watch 5 stars because it is still feels cheap, it is reallly light, and the case is not metal, it is acrilic wich is easily scratched.

Don't get me wrong it is very fashionable, that is the main reason i bought it, and I had my doubts about water resistance, but I swam 1,000 meters with it and it is perfectly fine.

I wouldn't risk on going more than 3 meters deep though.

the "beep" is fun, the light is perfect, alarm wont wake me up, but it is fine for other things. '

I think it runs a little behind, or ahead Im not sure, what i do know is that i sincronized it with an exact model of the same watch but in silver, bought from same seller, and after a week the beeps where not unisone. One of them beeped 2 seconds ahead. or late. whatever.

That doesn't bother me, i dont really need it to be THAT accurate.

I have 5 of them. one reason is that i sell them forward in mexico's ebay ( mercado libre) , just as a hobby, i've sold like 4 of them.

I did it because paying for shippment of one only watch seemed stupid so i bought 8.

But If you like it a lot, i would recomend getting at least 2.

My hand is not hairy, but some peopple wrote that hairs often get cought on the wristband and are pulled off, cousing pain.

I was looking all over the place for this gold Casio and I finally found it! I currently have the silver one but I was keen to have a pimping gold one and I must say, I'm totally enjoying it. Hardly anyone wears these old school watches anymore but I think they be the illest. Anyway, bottom line is I love this watch. Has a stop watch, alarm, date and time - the essentials. This is what a watch is meant to be about.

So I ordered this watch about a month or two ago and the pictures doesn't do any justice to how cute and versatile it is. I wear it everyday, and it only took about 4 days for the watch to be shipped to my house. Everyone always complements on this all gold wonderful watch, and when I tell them where I got it from I know I gave them a reliable source. I would recommend this watch to ANYONE and EVERYONE!

this is the 3rd casio A168W gold i buy for me and mi 2 friend, here is the better place for buy good price, you going to receive fast, im going to other in silver color now i prefer use this casio cause i feel so in boga not like twins cause a lot persons ask me were i buy off course at amazon place !!!!. this is mi favorite store here buy you going to love it...

This is a nice, functional dress watch. It shows the date, time in 12-hour or 24-hour mode (but only one time zone), and has both an alarm and a stopwatch. It does not have all of the functions of my big ugly "working" watch, but it is suitable for general and dress use. The accuracy is good enough, keeping within a few seconds per week of the time-of-day standards that I use.

This watch is straight out of a John Hughes movie. Has the usual Casio stopwatch and alarm, and lights up with the blue light. One weird thing is that when you illuminate it it makes a high-pitched tone. Very strange. But still, it's a great retro chic watch. I think it looks lame when worn with business casual, but great when dressed funky and ironically. You gotta love a product that has remained unchanged for almost 30 years and still functions perfectly. It's also pretty cheap, less than $25 online.

Decent watch for what it is....a cheap gold watch. It tells time, has a stop watch, alarm and light. Not top quality, but it works. I got it because it looks cool and was cheap. I don't expect it to last long, but I don't wear it every day. I got the same watch in black/plastic and wear it to work. It still works and hasn't broke, but the straps do feal cheap. Not a G-shock.

Generally I love this watch, it's a beauty eh! One thing I never quite understood though, is why does Casio find it necessary to write on their watches their functionality. This one says on the face of the watch (Besides from - Light/mode/Start/Stop):

Alarm Chrono

ElctroLuminescence

Immuninator

Water Resist

Who needs that stuff?

Anyway, I love the retro gold look so I forgo on the extra verbiage. - Watches - Digital Watch - Wristwatch - Digital'

Fishing Equipment - fishing equipment, telescopic fishing rod

I recently sailed a 40 ft catamaran around the Florida Keys and wanted to do some occasional fishing.

We took the dinghy out to the #18 red marker just south of the Boca Grande channel, tied off, chummed with some shrimp and began fishing. We had stripped off the flimsy looking mono that came with the reels and replaced with 8.b test Spider mono. We used a swivel to some 30lb test leader and no weight. We baited with whole shrimp hooked from the tail up through the body.

Within 10 minutes we caught and landed 3 yellowtail jacks that were easily 8 to 10 lbs each. The fight was excellent with the fish peeling off drag from time to time. The rod was bent almost double as we turned the fish and wound down. Pretty good stuff for a telescopic device. The drag worked perfectly and was smooth. It was a good 5 minute fight as we gained back line only to lose it again with with furious runs by the jack. .....very fun..... With the last fish a 7 ft. shark actually chased the hooked fish up to the inflatable dinghy and that's when we felt it was time to go.....

This maybe isn't a rod to win a bass tourny with..... but for something to throw into your suitcase and take on vacation..... it's pretty good. Definitely switch out the line with your own and you are good to go. Shakespeare Medium Action Travel Mate Telescopic Kit Combo (6-Feet 6-Inch)

I bought this rod and reel to give to my grandson for our first fishing trip together. It turned out to be more then I expected and the case it comes in is just so practial alowing it to hold the rod, reel along with a few split shots, hooks, some clips,a lure or two.If need be It would also fit a little live bait in a plastic bag inside the carrying case. Making it easy to walk to your fishing spot carrying everything in the case. The case has a handle and measures about 16"x10" stepped shape and weighs in at (2 lbs.6 oz Thats case rod and reel)

Telescopic rod has pros and cons of any telescopic rod - will collapse by itself if you leave joints TAD loose, and might be difficult to collapse if you pull out sections very tight (especially on sea).

Reel: I used it on sea for fishing (trolling) from a kayak, and after 3 weeks all the screws got rusty. It didn't stop working, but the steel is not quite of outdoor quality - will corrode in fresh water too, only slower.

Overall the combo is usable, I don't complain, especially since got an open-box item for $18 - can't beat the price!

I got this rod for my husband for Father's Day since we are going to stay at a cabin. He loves it! It's surprising how compact it is and how long it gets. It seems sturdy too. The only thing was that we were sent a BLUE reel. Honestly, I prefer the blue so it was a nice surprise (our son's pole is blue and he loves that they match)... but I imagine some people might expect and prefer the red so I thought it was worth mentioning. I'd still recommend it! It's a very handsome blue.

I bought this Shakespeare kit because I wanted to be able to fish when traveling. This rig is light weight, compact and has storage compartments for lures, spinners etc. Best of all the rod is telescopic and gives you medium action. Good price and good service. They now call me "Gone Fish-in".

I bought this because I'm in the Navy and I move around a lot, so I needed something compact, yet still of good value.

It comes nicely packaged in a kit box. I found it surprising how small the box is, you wouldn't suspect a 6'6" pole out of the rod.

The quality of the rod seems sturdy and of decent quality. It's lightweight and I don't think you'd have to worry about rough handling. My boyfriend man handles anything he touches and my rod was still fine :-) yay!

I haven't used it yet since I'm out at sea, but once I get back to land, you betcha I'll be out on the water.

this is the most sturdy fishing rod i have ever used. this ro is also so portable you can fit it into a tackle box. the reel is very smooth to. i would recomend this for eneyone who whants a sturdy rod.

I have not had a chance to use the pole yet, I hope to soon and after I do I will update this post. First I would like to mention the pole looks and feels great. It seems to be of good construction. The carrying case is nice but I have one complaint ... the reel needs to be removed before placing it in the case. It think this was a bad decision just because it gets annoying to remove the reel to store it in the case. This is a small complaint but lets see how the rod performs ... stay tuned!

Coastal Scents - make up, eyeshadows

Bought this for my girl friend. She likes it a lot especially doing all these crazy eye effects. She said it's not your high end Channel but certainly much higher quality than off the shelves brand at Walgreen. As long as she's happy, I'm happy. Certainly it's a very good deal for the value. Hope this help. Cheers! Bundle Monster 120 Full Color Pro Eye Shadow (Eyeshadow) Cosmetics Makeup Palette - Shimmer / Matte Combo

I Love Love LOVE this eyeshadow palette!...this is my very first palette so I can not compare with other high end brands, but I can say that the colors are very pigmented, they last, and they get the job done! I was in search of a palette that I could afford and that would satisfy my want for a 120 palette..all the other ones I saw were $30+ because of shipping and all, but ordering off of amazon gave me free shipping which is always a plus! In my opinion this palette is for beginners, advanced, or just anyone who wants to change up their look a bit. I would totally recommend this product! Plus buying from the seller 'Bundle Monster' was fabulous, they shipped way before I expected and it was from Hawaii! It came wrapped in a whole bunch of bubble wrap with a "handle with care" package. Nothing was broken. I am so happy! so you should Buy it too!

This is a real deal.. Great price with excellent quality.. I bought this for my girl friend and she is so happy with it. It replaces all her eye cosmetics make up with just one palette. and save so much space!!

I recieved this set about 3 days after I bought it. I have been modeling for years and know a lot about make up from various shoots. The pigment is average and there is a lot of fall out. There are a few colors I am satisfied with. I would recommend this to someone that has not used designer make up. It is about the same as store brand. For the price, I would say it is about right, but you get what you pay for. It is worth it to just buy MAC for colors like this. I recommend putting this eyeshadow on before any foundation so that you can whipe off the fall out before you put the rest of your make up on. Also if you pack it on it looks a little better. About 1/3 of the colors are chalky. I would say this is a great buy for ages 13-20.

I'm sure I would of loved the color's in this palette but before I could even open it the plastic box that holds the colors BROKE! Even with a cracked chipped box I decided to look at what I thought would of been my awesome eye shadow's to only find them broken as well! I was so disappointed to say the least and I'm sure I would of had a blasty blast with these colors if only the darn things would of been up to par.

Love the colors! They are very bright and they really show up well on darker skin. I have very yellow undertones and they are true to the color I see in the pan. One arrived cracked but it kept its shape in the pan and hasn't broken. For the price and to supplement your eyeshadow collection if you are on a budget it is awesome!

I love how fast it came to my house. I love all the colors in this palette. I love how compact it is. The only thing I didn't like is 7 of the colors came broken so I guess I'll have to use the alcohol and dime trick :) - Eyeshadow Set - Make Up - Palette - Eyeshadows'

Water Filter - dispenser, water dispenser

The ds-1800 / ds-1800z does the job, if slowly. Rough ballpark is that if the base is 1/3rd full and you fill the top to full, it'll take 40 minutes (yes, I timed it) for it to filter (slows down towards the end.) If you're starting from empty, you are looking at over an hour to a full container.

The filter spec sheet lists mostly high-90's for percent-removal of lots of things, except for MTBE- of which it only removes a minimum of 70%, and a maximum not much higher...still under 80%. Given how common MTBE pollution in water is these days (thanks, California!) and its carcinogenic nature, that's pretty poor.

Also, Pur only rates it for a maximum of 2 gallons a day, and "approximately" 40 gallons per filter "depending on local water conditions". They warn you that the filter's performance drops rapidly, but there's no way to tell how long that'll be, even if you have your water tested!

Watch out as the top is not 1/2 of the size of the bottom. The bottom is about 1.5x larger than the top. A line on the inside of the lower reservoir for a "don't fill the top to full when the reservoir is above this" would be a good addition.

The amazon description is slightly misleading; it does not have a "filter life indicator". It has a sticker showing a 12 month dial, and a second sticker to place on that. A molded in dial with spinner would be an improvement and all that's necessary (the brita lcd thing is silly.)

The spigot lever is strongly spring-loaded and cheaply built. If you pull it down and then let go, it will smack the side of the container very hard.

Make sure you insert the filter with the tabs aligned with the hole; you'll see a lock-down mechanism that seats the filter after you give it clockwise turn. The instructions do not mention this. Also, the filter may seem like it sits too high in the upper tray, but the inlet slats go down almost to the o-ring, so don't worry about it draining the upper tray. PUR DS-1800Z 2-Stage Water Dispenser

This is a great Water Filtration System.

We recently moved to the Washington DC area where the water tastes like metal and chlorine. My Fiance is something of a water afficionado, she would rather dehydrate and die than drink what she calls "yucky water", and if it wasn't in a bottle from a store then chances were she wouldn't drink it.

In our last place we had a Brita filter attached to our sink, from our experience and from what I've read, these things, Brita and PUR, have a tendancy to get clogged and break, as was the case with ours.

Also from reading I found out that Brita does not filter out bacteria, not that it's something most people need to worry about in chemically saturated city water but it's always better safe than sorry.

This System fits perfectly in our fridge, it holds a lot more water than some of the others I've seen and doesn't need to be refilled nearly as often because of that.

The water tastes great and even the Water Afficionado will happily guzzle it down.

I noticed a few reviewers complaining that the filters dont inform you of the quality of the water but rather just try to give you an estimate of the filters life and when to replace it.

Thats true and it's also worth noting that none of the consumer level water filters will actually tell you the quality of the water, filtration systems of that nature would be considerably more expensive than these. And would most likely require electronic parts that exceeded the standard red light green light functionality.

Anyway, it works great, the filters seem to have a long life, it fits nicely in the fridge and we're both very happy with the quality of the water that the filter produces. We bought ours over a month ago along with a triple pack of replacement filters and have yet to replace the one that came in the box.

Worth your cash! :)

Yes I'll admit it, everytime we went grocery shopping we lugged home a few big bottles of "spring water" (what the heck does that mean anyways and why do we think it's better then our tap water, I mean what is really in those plastic jugs?). Given this sudden realization recently I went on a quest to pick a water filter for our tap water, and decided upon this dispenser and I'm so glad I did! It's super easy to fill up, fits nicely into the fridge (plus it's my favorite shade of blue, that's a plus right?) and OMG this is what water is supposed to taste like, nothing... pure & clean & crisp (are you sure this is from my tap?) It's wonderful! I find myself happily filling up a glass with water to drink now instead of juice or tea etc.

At first, I was a little surprised at the amount of cash I was going to have to pay for this filter. But my husband and I were moving to a part of the former Soviet Union, and we had no idea what could be lurking in the water there. After 2 weeks of being here, and using this filter, I truly say I love it! We have had no problems with leaking, black specks in the water or anything. The size is wonderful. I use it to make tea and coffee with, and basically on any food that will not be boiled. My husband was brave enough to try the water from the tap (the stuff the nationals don't even drink!) and then tried the purified version. What a difference!

I did do a bit of research before buying. I was going to buy a Brita, but after many reviews from people who weren't very happy with it, I went with Pur. I'm very glad I did. I have NO complaints at all.

Thank you Pur for making a wonderful product!

We got this pitcher for our family of 6 almost 3 years ago, and have used it constantly since. It does fit nicely in a fridge, but we keep it on the counter because it gets used so often and I don't like the fridge door opening all the time. We have a smaller Brita pitcher for the fridge, and there is a HUGE difference in the taste. The Pur is much better. We live in NYC, which has heavily chlorinated water. With this Pur filter, we can't taste the chlorine at all.

We have found that after a couple of weeks (sometimes less) the filters really slow down. At first we'd just replace them, because even with replacing the filter every couple of weeks it's cheaper to filter water than to buy it pre-bottled. (My daughter just did a science project on the fact that bottled water is almost completely unregulated, so filtering your own tested/regulated tap water is probably safer anyway.) However, we have since discovered that if you pull the filter out and soak it in cold water for 10 minutes, the same as you do when starting a new filter, the drip speed increases again. Now our filters really last the month or two they're supposed to.

I have never had a problem with mold or mildew with this dispenser, a problem that some people have with Britas. I wash it every once in a while when I see dust in the top part, but I'm really amazed at how clean and fresh it has stayed all these years. It is really convenient to use though it's a little heavy to return to the fridge once it's filled (another reason ours stays on the counter).

I'm on this page now just because our dispenser has (finally) started to leak from the spout. There aren't many products that can be used heavily for 3 years without a single problem! So after I finish this review, I'm going to buy another one. I don't know of any better, safer, cheaper, more delicious way to keep a large family hydrated. - Pur - Water Dispenser - Dispenser - Pur Filter'

Battery Packs - lithium-ion, tools

These batteries are the best available today. As for the knucklehead claiming the battery was discharged, this is how they are supposed to be when they come. They have a memory chip in them that starts the 5 year warranty on their first charge. I have no ideal who the other reviewer is but they have an agenda other then telling the truth imho. Milwaukee 48-11-2830 M28 Lithium-Ion Battery-Pack

I have had my v28 set now for a while and have used my tools for a variety of tasks. I am in the plumbing trade so most applications have been in relation to that. I own almost all of the v28 line of tools so these batteries have run my v28 radio, hammer drill, band saw, sawzall, angle drill, rotary hammer, circular saw, and impact wrench. I have never had a problem with the batteries at all in any of the tools I have used. They have gone from tool to tool with no problems whatsoever and in fact outperformed any cordless tool I have ever used. I can't speak for everyone but these battery driven tools have never disappointed me.

Currently using 16 of these batteries and continue to be amazed at their performance, tool power, and duration of use for single charges. V28 power is just that --power and that's why I buy tools. Now 3-4 years later and all the tools are still great, but all the batteries are dead and milwaukee says sorry......maybe the m28 series will come through......?

This is the best battery I've used in 30 years BUT...........

Do not let it get wet!!!!

I work in the rain regularly and haven't had a problem if the battery is in a tool however I had one out of the case for a short amount of time and that was it, done, dead, gone.....

At the replacement cost you don't want to make this mistake!!

I own the impact hammer and the band saw and use both with only one 28V battery pack. Obviously, there is only so much I can do with only one battery but to date it has worked very well. The fuel gauge is essential if you have a large job pending as it will tell you if you need to recharge. The band saw uses a lot more of the battery than the impact hammer. I used the band saw to cut 1/4" grating and had no problem with the battery as I had several things to do between cuts which also allowed me to recharge when the battery ran low. The impact hammer can drive anything to any depth except lug nuts. Have to be careful not to drive to tight though. I rated the battery only 4 stars as when not in use the charge drops quickly. i.e. several days it is down to 1/4 charge.

Milwaukee finaly made a battery that matches their tools. The milwaukee tools were always strong, durable, and very dependable. I have owned the 18 volt combo set for years and love the tools, the batteries are a nother story, they were very weak in power they would not last for the smallest jobs (I own 4-18 volt batteries)for the set. But this new 24 volt lithium battery finaly matches the tool, I have 3-batteries for the kit and the power is amazing. the batteries hold a charge for the longest time. They will last the day. Milwaukee did a great job with this battery.

The best battery and tools on the market! This battery is powerful and charges quickly. Holds a charge for a long time seeing I use these sporadically and not a professional contractor.

Great battery for great tools!!!!

I have six batteries and three chargers that power my crew's circular saw, band saw, 2 hammer drills, sawzall, rattle gun, and roto-hammer. They have been our primary tools over the last year and a 1/2 and have done most of the concrete work on one high rise and one 120,000 gallon fish tank.

best on the market.

the battery has enough power on the skilsaw to rip a 16ft. 2x4 down the middle. the porta-band is a juice hog. have drilled as many as 130 3/16" inch holes through 3/16" tempered steel on one battery.

the lone drawback is that if the batteries are left out overnight in the cold, like in a gang box in Seattle, a full battery can go dead in minutes. but will last hours in the cold after heated up on the charger.

6 full batteries last a crew of 5 an eight hour shift of constant use with only charging a couple of them on the 1 hour charger.

the man hours saved are outrageous.

Wow, when I replace my aging cordless drill with the new Milwaukee V28 series stuff...breathless. The power, staying power and recharge times have been all impressive so far.

I especially like the battery life meter.

Only down side is the cost.

But you do get what you paid for.

So go get one now!

This battery pack is so great. The reason it shows how much life is left on the battery. Which other battery packs don't have. I think it is as good or better than Dewalt. No other battery pack shows how much life is left on the battery. - Lithium-ion - Tools - V28 - Milwaukee'

Industrial - electric sharpener, pencil sharpeners

Only buy this pencil sharpener if you want to replace it each year. The sharpener worked very well until the end of the school year and then the blades became dull and would not sharpen the pencils. Hunt Company replaced the blades under warranty. Now that the warranty has expired, they refuse to replace the blades and won't sell the blade replacements. What a shame that electric pencil sharpeners are supposed to be disposable! X-Acto School Pro Heavy-Duty Electric Sharpener (1670)

I have gone through three School-Pro Sharpeners in four years. When it works, this sharpener is wonderful. It accomodates several different pencil sizes, has a huge shavings receptacle and runs quietly. My first sharpener lasted through two school years. The second one lasted about a year and a half. The company replaced it for free after I complained. The replacement lasted only a few months. They all had the same problem. When a pencil was inserted the the blades would spin, but they didn't sharpen. I think there was a problem with the automatic pencil stop feature. If the company would address this design flaw, I would consider buying another School-Pro.

I bought this sharpener because we have a large collection of very thick color pencils which require the largest hole on this sharpener to sharpen. This sharpener works fine. However, I was rather surprised by its large size. It is twice as tall as most of the electric sharpeners one sees in offices and homes, and it is wider and heavier.

While it worked, this was a great sharpener. The problem is that it only worked for three months. RIP OFF! Don't advertise that it's for school use unless it will last at least one school year. I have a much lower quality model that is going on its third year in my classroom, and it advertises for office use. The jokes on me!

I loved my Boston School Pro. The kids in my class were forever griding away on my old fashioned crank sharpener, and other teachers were contantly complaining about their loud electrict sharpeners that would quickly burn out on standardized testing weeks. With the Boston School Pro, teachers came to my room (or sent kids to my room) to sharpen pencils for the Stanford 9 test. There is a audible difference when students pencils have achieved ultimate sharpness. No more wasting time at the sharpner!

Every teacher at our school got one of these at the beginning of the year. NONE of them made it through March. The internal gears are made of cheap plastic that quickly wear out. While the cutters no longer turn, the units do squeal quite nicely! One star becuase it's the minimum available!

I'm a middle school teacher and bought two of these on the advice of a colleague. Both broke down before the end of the year. So did the two my colleague bought. It turned out she hadn't used one before but was taken by the imposing hero shot of the sharpener.

The company was completely unresponsive to the several phone messages I left.

A hand sharpener works better in the long run. Don't waste your money.

I have been teaching math for a few years and have had more trouble with sharpeners than students. I was going through several sharpeners a year. I was comfortable spending 20is dollars at Wal-Mart(where America shops for value). I was getting about 6 months out of each sharpener. This Boston School Pro is much better. While more expensive, it has lasted 2 and a half years. I have had trouble getting new blades and feel that I will never, I end up saving money in the long run. I was spending $60 plus every two and a half years and now spend $30 every two and a half. If Texas will get it's act together and give teachers the raise they were talking about I might be able to cover my pencil sharpener budget. - Electric Sharpener - School Supplies - Pencil Sharpeners - Electric Pencil Sharpener'

Wireless Speaker

I ordered one of these speakers for my husband for a birthday gift, reasoning that if he liked it, I would get another so that he would have stereo sound outdoors. We hooked it up tonight, and it has worked great for us. The setup only took a few minutes, and the sound clarity is excellent. It also looks good--either sitting or hanging. Although it's mono right now, it sounds fantastic--good enough that I'm ordering another so that we'll have stereo sound. I must note that we are very close to the sound source--ten to fifteen feet, so I can't speak for longer ranges. The speaker can be either plugged into an outlet (adapter included) or powered by batteries. We have ours plugged in, and don't intend to use batteries, so consider battery life if you don't have an outlet handy. Overall, we're really impressed by these speakers. I'll update if we encounter any problems. Audiovox Acoustic Research AW826 Main Street Outdoor Wireless Speaker (Black)

Contacted Audiovox about "noise",popping noises.Response was "It's wireless anything can interfere with it".I had the speaker set up approx. 20 feet from the transmitter.Don't buy this product,if you do expect to feel ripped off.

I would expect a good quality product from AR and I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the sound and of course it worked out of the box. Walking with it to the outside edge of my yard, at least 80ft from the transmitter which was indoors while the speaker was playing, did not result in any loss of sound or any variation of volume at all. The transmitter works perfectly on the line output from my cable box or DVD/CD player so no headphone amplifier is required to boost the signal which is the case with some competitors. I will be ordering another three for placement around my back yard! Tip: If you get popping noises then change the channel (there are three on the transmitter). Also check if you have an old style cordless phone or wi-fi router that may be causing interference.

The unit "died" within 2 weeks of setting it up outside under a covered space. Took forever to get them to get back to me on where & how to return it, then I get a bill for nearly the price I paid to fix it. They say it is and out of warranty defect (it has a 12 month warranty, I have only had it a couple months) but have not gotten back to me on what it is our what that means only saying that I need to send in a check or it will be sent back not fixed. Horrible customer service and horrible product DO NOT BUY! STAY AWAY!'
