High Definition - high definition, 1080p

Just picked this set up from Sam's Club for a great price. The display set in the store didn't do this set justice. Right out of the box this tv was easy to set up to my PC, Xbox 360 and my stereo all within 20mins (no dead pixels :]). The Hi-def picture quality is awesome. The graphics coming from the xbox are astounding, and it is the perfect size for a large PC screen. Fits perfectly in a bedroom, just about the largest TV I would want for a bedroom, any bigger and you'd be to close to the screen for optimum viewing.

I bought this set mainly to use as a bigger display than my 17" lcd on my laptop, and i was a little skeptical about the color temp and the resolution compared to a high-end computer monitor. As soon as i hooked up my laptop via the HDMI cable this screen blew my mind, the text is sharp, the color temp is spot on (has menu features to adjust) and the shear size makes editing photos in photoshop and lightroom a breeze. I'm a professional photographer and I am pretty picky when it comes to color and res and this set was exactly what I was looking for.

I highly recommend this set! VIZIO E370VA 37-inch Full HD 1080p LCD HDTV

Bought this set just before black Friday from Target. Set up out of the box very easy, hooked it to my Verizon Fios, picture looked stunning. Noticed a weird problem that only happened a couple of times. When a non HD commercial would come on, the audio on the tv started to flutter, skip, and then go silent. The longer that I kept this set, the more frequent this started to occur. I was starting to get pretty frustrated with this and finally enlisted Vizio's help. The first thing they have me do is reset the factory default settings on the tv. This means turning off the features I bought the set for, ex: SRS TruSurround, and TruVolume. Ok, I'll play along, so I reset the tv and guess what? It didn't fix the problem, and now my tv sounds tinny and still has the fluttering and volume cut off situation. Frustrated, I hang up with Vizio and now a new problem arises, when some kind of graphic pops up on a show, the sound gets really loud and poof, the tv reboots its self. Now I've had it, called Vizio again, and they tell me they've haven;t had any other complaints like this one?!? ( I guess they don't read Amazon reviews, and now I wish I had seen the Amazon reviews before buying this set). I now make the decision to return the set back to Target, but first I still need a new TV. Just by dumb luck, I find an open box Samsung 40" 1080p set at Best Buy for the same $399 I just bought this Vizio 37". Long story short.... I'm happy with the Samsung and I can use all of the sound features without a hiccup.

I tried to leave this same review on Vizio's web site, but they still have not approved it.

There are a lot of bad volume reviews about this set and the E371VA, so be careful in your decision when purchasing.

This tv is well worth the money and is priced below Walmart's price, when I purchased it. The tv picture is very clear, also the audio is very clear. Vizio has come out with a good tv and it is priced just right. I would rate this tv as a 10 if I could.

The set was delivered quickly and was easy to set up. The picture quality was just ok, but the Toshiba I have in the other room has far superior picture quality. But what really sunk this unit for me was the sound quality - or lack of it. Sounds hollow and tinny, no matter how its adjusted. Certainly not the "superior audio" that was advertised. But Amazon was great! The unit is being returned without any hassle at all. They even paid for return shipping. Thanks, Amazon! I'll keep looking for a 37" with good sound. Likely a Toshiba.

I truly recomend this TV, it has great picture quality and sound quality, most TVs have bad sound, not this one.

It has plenty a connection ports for DVD players, video games and DVRs.

I recomend this TV.

(I am using me mom's account)

I have had the VIZIO E370VA 37-inch Full HD 1080p LCD HDTV for 2 months now and for the price you cannot go wrong. You have to find the right picture and sound adjustments to allow your viewing experience to be the best possible. For me I have the picture on Wide Screen for most viewing especially Sports or Stretch, if I am watching a DVD. The sound is OK but you need to take the TruSound off if you don't want the sound to go up and down alot with commercials or changing channels, it can be annoying. I have the Surround Sound on and the TruSound off at all times and the sound is pretty good.

Overall, the price and picture are great. Alot of HDMI and other ports for connecting multiple electronics. The Sound is pretty good after the adjustments mentioned above.

I use this TV as my secondary tv for when we entertain friends and family. For this price you really cant ask for anything better. The picture quality is very good. You have to "tweak" the picture settings until your satisfied but once you get there, its great. The sound is fine from the speakers however I am now using a 5.1 surround sound system with this TV so I dont use the speakers.

Blu Ray looks good as well as regular TV. What more needs to be said? Its got good specifications at a good price. - High Definition - 37 Inch Lcd - 1080p - 120 Hz'

Easy To Use Camera - point and shoot, easy to use camera

BOTTOM LINE:

With each generation, Canon makes the ELPH series easier to use and still get great results. Like it's predecessors, this one fits easily into your pocket (or the case I recommend toward the end of this review). That point alone may make this the best camera you own; having a $5k DSLR doesn't do you much good if you left it home because it wasn't worth the effort to lug it along.

However, unlike many other small cameras, this one does not sacrifice either features or quality. Well, it does give up on any reasonable manual control, things like setting shutter speed, lens aperture, ISO. What access you do have to that level of control is buried deep inside menus. It took Canon a while to realize that for most of us, if we wanted to fool with that kind of thing on a regular basis, we would be using a different camera. This camera is designed to leverage convenience over extreme control or nth degree quality.

DETAILS:

It is a small camera and carries with it the baggage that comes with the convenience of having to carry so little baggage. (sorry, couldn't resist) None of the issues raised, given that they comes as part of the convenience trade-off made me consider anything other than the 5-star rating this camera deserves.

One issue with all small cameras is the built-in flash. They are all underpowered and create red eye. Both problems are caused by the need to keep the camera small; the flash needs to be small and positioned close to the lens. Canon addresses it by putting in some really good noise reduction so you (actually the camera) can shoot at a relatively high ISO in low light allowing for a faster shutter speed. The result is an image that is both low noise and not blurry. And the best part is the camera takes care of all that so you don't have to. As a result you can take pictures in a well lit room without having to use the flash at all.

- The shutter response, as with any small digital camera for less that $500, is a bit slow for effectively capturing children and pets. The trick for doing that is to either have a great sense of timing and a shutter that reacts instantly or a reasonably fast ( > 4x / sec ) burst mode. This camera has neither.

Some other suggestions that apply:

Normally at this point I would put in some details about manually setting ISO or selecting a color space. However, for this camera it just isn't relevant. You are buying this camera because you want to take great pictures without having to worry about that stuff. If you do want to "take your photography to the next level then a great resource is the Confessions of a Compact Camera Shooter: Get Professional Quality Photos with Your Compact Camera.

Finally, I've found the Caselogic QPB-1 Compact Digital Camera Case (Black/Gray) is just the right size for this camera. It's semi-rigid so you get a fair amount of protection but doesn't add a lot of bulk. It's made even better by using one of these, Nite Ize SB1-2PK-01 Size-1 S-Biner, Black, 2-Pack, to secure it to a belt loop. Canon PowerShot ELPH 100 HS 12 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 4X Optical Zoom (Blue)

Just received my Canon ELPH 100 HS {orange} and I absolutely love it. The camera boots up almost instantly. Installed a 16GB SDHC class 10 card and now have 5000+ 12MB photo capacity or 60 minutes for HD video. The image stabilization at max digital zoom 4X4/16x works great! The camera easily fits in my pocket and is very light @ ~5 ounces.

The Canon's Digic 4 processor & CMOS sensor make this camera truly point and shoot. By default it automatically selects the light level, shaking, target focus, shutter speed, flash/noflash and ISO to pick the optimal scene type. Perfect pictures virtually every time when button is correctly pressed 1/2 way (1) before fully in (2) for photo shot. But be sure to get a class 10 card for the best video.

The only 2 minor problems I believe are:

1) It comes with a 700 mAh 3.7 Volt battery instead of the 1400 mAh 3.7 OEM version which doubles it run-time for 230 photos to almost 500 pictures per charge. This is easily fixed when ordering additional batteries just get the larger mAh capacity ones.

2) The CameraWindow transfer software doesn't automatically delete pictures after they are transferred. Some people like this as not to delete photos improperly transferred.(I do not). Some camera blogs suggest a quick format after transfer is the way to quickly delete photos/video after successful transfer.

However, this is the best point and shoot camera I have used and I still think it's a 5 star camera @ $199 MSRP.

I normally use a Nikon D50 which takes great photos, Im no professional but really enjoy taking pictures of my toddler. Well he broke my Nikon and I sent to see if it could be fixed but wanted to point and shoot because they come in really handy! I reviewed what felt like a million cameras, I touched them and felt them and shot pictures with them and hated every single one! I hadnt seen this one online (cause there werent any reviews) but I went to Shutterbug and they had it, I tried it out and loved it! I've had it for a few weeks and I use it everyday! Pictures always turn out amazing! Our house kinda has crappy lighting and its a major problem with pictures, this camera takes the best pictures by far! (not super grainy looking like others) I also wanted to camera that shoots video. I dont use it to shoot professional quality video but Im impressed! Alot better then my last point and shoot. Also my video does autofocus on video mode, so the other viewer might have had a faulty one cause mine does great. I wasnt looking to spend $200 but I'd do it again in a heart beat!

Pros:

powers on so quick

Picture quality

Picture speed (amazing)

low light pictures

video!

Photo Paper - photography, photo paper

This paper print set gives you glossy and smooth prints that look just like a photo you get from the lab. Since the process is dye-sublimination, you don't get those ink jet spots, and smearing that you get even from the finest photo printers. The cartridge is easily slipped into the printer, and the paper put in the paper tray. After three passes, yellow, red, blue, you get an extremely nice snapshot to pass out. I'm so glad that Amazon decided to carry this product, as I was worried after buying my CP100 that I would not be able to find the paper. It is not available at local electronics stores, and I live in the Bay Area, Silicon Valley California! Canon KP-36IP Paper Pack for Canon Printer (36 Sheets)

You're on the trip of a lifetime and you promised to send postcards to your friends and relatives. Why not send scenic cards with you in them? Ask a traveling companion to snap a few photos of you. Hook up your digital camera to a portable canon printer and run off a few perfect postcards using the KP-36IP pack. Write "Wish you were here" on the left side and paste on a few stamps. Voila, personalized postcards from anywhere in the world.

Better yet, take a photo of someone you are traveling with and give them a postcard to send home. Talk about a great conversation starter!

The description for this paper states "...blank on the back side, just like photos from your local print shop". THIS IS NOT TRUE. The back side is just like a post card with space for an address, etc. Canon apparantly does not make 4"x6" paper for the Selphy dye-sub printers with a blank back side. IMO, the postcard look is kind of tacky when giving prints to other people. Amazon needs to update their description to reflect this, and to include the other printers that can use this paper.

The quality of prints produced by the Selphy printers on this paper is very good and comparable with competitive products from Epson and HP.

First, I would like to note that this product is also compatible with the Canon CP-200, CP-300, CP-220, CP-330, CP400, and CP500 printers. I just received the Canon Selphy CP400 printer as a gift and with this ink/paper set, it takes fantastic photos! I never get around to going to the drugstore or where ever to print out my digital photos, so this is great for me!

Delivered quickly and at a great price. Impossible to buy locally - no longer stocked by Staples where we had purchased the Canon Selphy CP740 printer. Thank God for Amazon.com. Packaged well too so photopaper and ink weren't damaged in shipment. Great photos - better color and sharpness - than HP Photosmart 130 travel printer which the Selphy replaced.

I got the Canon CP400 printer a while back so I could make the occasional print to hand out (or put silly captions on "bad" Christmas party photos).

I don't know how the printer manages to keep the image aligned as the paper goes in and out 4 times (yellow, magenta, blue, and the clear coat) but when it drops it out, I have a pretty nice print, complete with address lines and a stamp outline on back (plus Canon logo of course) - suitable for mailing as a postcard. About 1/2" of each end gets removed after printing as it is used for traction of the rubber roller in the printer.

I frequently print 3 shots vertically on a 4 x 6 card as sort of a mini proof sheet. I've also used the 4 x 8 size to print 2 side by side.

Fun stuff.

The paper pack is extrememly convenient. It is designed exclusively for the printer; is very easy to load and comes with the printer cartridge as well. The photos come out beautifully printed on postcard paper.

The copier is easy to install and takes up very little space. Using the KP-36IP paper and ink yields excellent picture quality.Changing the paper and the ink is quick and convenient.I've printed many photos and have been very satisfied with the quality. And it isn't all that expensive for the combo. - Canon - Photography - Photo Paper - Canon Photo Printer'

Blackberry Storm 9530 - blackberry storm 9530, blackberry

I bought this item some weeks ago and It's been working Good.. Maybe the issue of Activation could be a problem for you, but I Have the solution.

Do the next... Press ##000000 and then press ok, then, where say MOBIL DIRECTORY NUMBER delete the number that appears in there and Write your own number, then press RIM buttom and press Save.. That's it.. Problem Fixed.. I hope it works on your cellphones... Blackberry 9530 Storm Unlocked For Any GSM Carrier Worldwide

Not much to say but CONS, lots of cons:

a. WEAK BATTERY, charge every 6 hours

b. ACTIVATION REQUIRED 24/7 ON YOUR FACE

c. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE, they don't offer any solution even though i contacted them twice.

d. THERE'S NO EXTRA ACCESSORIES, THE PICTURES IS MISLEADING

VERY FRUSTRATING...

I was looking for the unlock cell phone for travel to over sea, found this Blackberry sound good for what I need for the price, then after received the phone try to used it turn out it need to activate from verizon service, this phone have to go back.

aw.

Now i can not say much about the phone because i have never received the item or blessed eyes on it now i placed an order with the OEM shop on the 5th of February 2011 today as i am writing this review is the 10th of march 2011 you do the math, this is how long ago i placed my order.from i placed my order i have been back and forth with this company (the OEM shop)trying to resolve this problem these people have gotten my money a month ago and i can not get it back up to now every time i contact them, as i don't have a phone number for them, i have to do so via emails they send back saying sorry for the inconvenience this company was dishonest from the start i ordered a phone that they knew they did not have in stock and i had to contact them after weeks of wondering where my phone was, not having a tracking number to find out from one person that it was on some kinda back order then it was out of stock and when it became available they will ship it. I told these people i wanted my money back they still ship the phone the, they recalled the phone in mid transit an sent me an email, mind you with such a matter i believe phone calls would be best but that's just my opinion, telling me that they will refund my money within 48hours to my knowledge 48 means within two days i received this email on the 7th of march 2011 it is now the 10th of march 2011 and up to now no one has contact me as to where my money is and when i will be getting it back this is my first time having dealings with this company (the OEM shop) and it has been the worst experienced yet i have googled trying to find other ways in terms of a phone number to contact this business to speak to a manager or someone in charge to no avail but what did come up on my Google search is posts and reviews of people who this company (the OEM shop) has done something similar to.To end off i would have to say people amazon is great because i have ordered stuff on the same day i ordered from the OEM shop and after and guess what i have already gotten my items but i have to say that the OEM shop will not be getting any more business from me other customers be aware you don't want to end up with the same problem i had. With that said i think amazon should have as a policy that persons or business who sell on Amazon need to put up more than an email address as contact info for those of us that end up having disputes like this because if you don't call (which you cant because there is no number) or email the OEM shop they wont contact you and tell you what is happen they need to realize people have to work hard for their money and don't wish to see it go down the drain for nothing again, Amazon is wonderful but the OEM shop needs to pull up their socks this is not a nice thing to be doing !!!!!!!!!

The phone is lovely and just what I needed. Unfortunately it was still locked onto a specific carrier and hence useless to me. The seller (OEM Shop) was unresponsive and has yet to resolve the issue. I had to purchase a different phone and get on with life.

I paid for 1 day shipment. They spend 3 days to move it from Brooklyn to Newark. In the end it was 5 days shipment. Nothing to say about phone cause I'm in another country now.

No answer for claims from amazon or seller. No comments :)

I purchased the Unlocked Storm because the description led me to believe that the phone would have full functionality on the all GSM networks. Unfortunately that was not accurate. OEM did contact me regarding some of the issues with the phone but they took two to three days to reply to my emails and would not call me to trouble shoot or fully resolve my issues. Because I was trying to get the phone to work following very cryptic emails from their technical person, I missed the 30-day window to return the product or a refund. The phone is still not working properly with our wireless carrier. I would not purchase this phone believing it will work with AT&T. I have always liked shopping on Amazon.com will continue to do so but I was disappointed with this vendor and the service I received.

compre el Blackberry ya que en su publicidad dice claramente que es liberado para cualquier empresa GSM de cualquier lugar del mundo, estoy en Caracas Venezuela y el celular esta bloqueado debo pagar aqui para liberarlo

GREAT PHONE. VERY GOOD PRICE GOOD COVERAGE IN MY COUNTRY, THE CAMERA IS AWESOME, THE TRUTH THAT IS REFURBISHED BUT ARE EXCELLENT FOR THE COMPANY; IA MOVILNET AND WORKS FINE .... MOVISTAR I DID A REALLY GOOD BUY .. - Blackberry 9530 - Blackberry Storm - Blackberry - Blackberry Storm 9530'

Lcd Cleaner - lcd cleaner, laptop

I purchased this product to clean the screen on my Samsung LN46B630 LCD TV, which has a matte screen, and my laptops that have glossy screens. While it works great on the laptops, I am very unhappy with the product when used on my TV. Unfortunately, while it did remove the visible dirt on the TV screen, when the light comes through the window in early evening, there is a film that shows up as very visible streaks. I tried it twice, thinking maybe I didn't use enough the first time, but the streaks are still there. Since all the other reviews for this product are glowing, and it does work well on my laptops, it seems safe to assume it has to do with the matte screen on my TV.

Today, I found this information on Samsung's website, under the Q&A section for my TV: "Although there are a number of cleaning products on the market that say they are "Safe" for LCD/Plasma panel usage, I recommend just using plain old purified water without any minerals and a non-abrasive cloth. Purified water with out minerals will also prevent any mineral deposits to collect on the screen. -MrSamsung".

I haven't tried this yet, but coming from the manufacturer, I sure feel alot more comfortable using this on my, not so cheap, TV.

Bottom line, even if you have a glossy screen TV, purified water without minerals is going to be much cheaper than this, or any other, screen cleaning solution! I'll try to remember to update my review once I've tried the purified water w/o minerals.

UPDATE 04/20/2010: I've now cleaned my TV & laptops with purified water without minerals, which is just distilled water and is under $1.00 for a gallon. I sprayed the water on the cloth that came with this kit, not directly onto the TV. It removed the film & streaks left by this cleaner and cleaned the finger prints from the piano black bezel, which this cleaner failed to do...save your money and get the best cleaner: distilled water!!!! Inland 05119 Pro LCD Display Cleaning kits

Bought this cleaner kit after finding (to my annoyance) that the local big box office supply stores don't even stock anything similar. It works wonderfully on my Dell PC LCD monitor screen. Children's fingerprints, spots, etc., come off with ease.

I used this on my MacBook screen that had dried spots of saliva, smudges, and fingerprints all over the screen. None of these, except for the fingerprints, could I get off with a standard microfiber cloth. I put a 2 squirts of this on and wiped and EVERYTHING, every imperfection was gone! Excellent product!

I've seen similar products at local stores at about the same price and only ordered this kit because I needed another $10 on an order to qualify for free shipping. I am and auto appraiser and work outdoors in all kinds of weather and conditions so my laptop computer is exposed to rain, wind, dirt, etc. and also has touch screen which means fingerprints. The cleaner and cloth did an excellent job on the computer screen and I have no complaints of any kind.

I bought this to use for my laptop computer, and it's just what I needed. I have two dogs and two cats, which means pet hair is always flying around. Also, I work at home and often eat at my computer, so crumbs galore, too, as well as "spatter" on the screen (I hope you don't have a mental image of me sitting at my laptop with crumbs and food drooling out of my mouth! It's just that no matter how careful one tries to be, eating at the computer eventually shows up ON the computer.)

The kit includes a super-soft brush that retracts into its handle for storage and is just the ticket for brushing hair and crumbs off/out of the keyboard, and also for brushing dust off the LCD screen to help prevent scratching before wiping it. The spray cleans quickly and effectively, and the microfiber cloth helps clean with minimal pressure on the screen -- no scrubbing needed. The computer has a glossy finish, and the microfiber cloth also cleans that to its original sheen. Not shown in the picture is the handy drawstring bag that's included to store the components.

I would definitely buy this item again, and it would make a great stocking stuffer gift for any laptop user.

I purchased this product due to the amount of times I must touch my laptop screen, coating it with lovely fingerprints and such. It was one of the most inexpensive options and also came with a few components. Rather than just a spray or microfiber cloth, this product also comes with a retractable brush for whisking away pesky dust and hairs from the keyboard and crevasses in the laptop. The spray worked great on the laptop as well as my LED TV.

For the price it is absolutely fabulous. I keep it in my bagpack to clean my macbooks screen all the time. Additionally the duster is very useful in cleaning the keyboard.

Great product and simply love it

Network Laser Printer

I purchased this printer through a local retailer and was debating between the HP and a similarly priced wireless printer from Brother. The replacement toner cartridges are a bit more for the HP, but then again, they come with the drum assembly built in. This greatly reduces maintenance and potential hardware failures.

Setup:

As for setup, under Windows it's a snap. Put the CD in and follow the directions.

Under Linux (I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx)) the install was easy. I visited [...] web site and downloaded the drivers. From there, I just followed the directions on the web page and it works like a charm.

I've not used it with a Mac, but I did note that OSX is listed on the box.

Printer quality:

As for the printer itself. It has a very small footprint on the desk when the paper trays are not extended, and a small one when they are. It has excellent monochrome print quality and is very fast. As with all laser printers, the ink is waterproof once it's on the paper. I'd recommend it any day of the week.

The printer's body feels solid when you handle it. The input trays are similarly solid. The output tray feels a bit light, but as long as you aren't abusing the tray, it'll be more than sufficient.

HP Experience:

For me, HP printers are generally very reliable and always has good driver support both under Windows and Linux. HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer (CE657A#BGJ)

I have had this printer for three days. I purchase local at brick and mortar store due to better pricing. It was purchased to serve as a backup printer to my Canon MX870 inkjet printer. You need a backup laser printer when you have a 9 year old printing everything that comes to her mind to an inkjet!

My setup consists of two laptops computers running Windows 7 plus one Mac running OSv10.6. Before installing the printer, I did some reading online and read about how easy it was to perform a WIFI set up for this printer in Windows and how hard it was to set up in the Mac.

First, I set up the two Windows 7 laptops. Set up was very easy. You plug in the included USB cable to the laptop and the printer runs its own installation program. Windows drivers are preinstalled on the printer and are downloaded to the laptop. During installation, you are prompted to select WIFI. In my case, as I have a secured network, so I was prompted for the network password. Once entered, the printer connects to the network and you are done.

Now, installation on the Mac is another story. First, no Mac drivers are installed in the printer, so installation is performed from an included CD. However, you still need to plug the printer to the Mac using the USB cable and complete a USB installation. Then you need to delete the printer, disconnect the USB cable and then add the printer as a WIFI connection. The problem is that this is not what the included instructions say!

More detail on the Mac installation can be found in the HP Customer Care website. Look for a document titled: "Macintosh: Installing the Product Software in Mac OS X v10.6 for a Wireless Network Connection".

The only drawback is the cost of toner and the expected yield from a toner cartridge, which is rated at only 1,500 pages. Other wireless laser printer in the same price range, like the Brother HL-2170W and the Samsung ML-2525W yield an estimated 2,500 pages and also the toner cost is a little cheaper. However, Mac installations on these two seem to be more difficult from what I read!

The printer itself has performed wonderfully after completing the installations. I would recommend this printer to anybody looking for an inexpensive Laser printer for personal use.

I bought this yesterday and have already used it to print well over 100 pages of double sided text. Thus far, I'm satisfied.

Positives:

- Easy installation; very few steps and very clearly explained in brief instruction manual

- Product is well packaged and it seems to be a fairly study design

- It runs quietly and prints quickly

- I haven't had any significant problems connecting to my wireless network or printing

I wouldn't give it any negatives, but be aware of one quirk with the software...

When you do double-sided printing, it is manual. This means that you print the even numbered pages, then remove the stack and place it back into the tray. At this point, you are supposed to press a "continue" button in a dialogue box that pops up on your screen. The problem is that if you attempt to do any work in another window, then that dialogue box disappears and you cannot press the continue button. There is no way to get it to reappear that I am aware of. It just disappears and you are left with a stack of even-numbered pages. The dialogue box will also disappear whether you do anything or not if the printer is on standby when you send the print job. So, if you want to print double-sided, make sure to turn it on (not standby) first. Otherwise, you'll again have a stack of even-numbered pages.'

Photosmart - c8771wn, 02

These catridges did not work in my HP Photosmart 3310. The catridges were labeled for use in my printer type but I tried several and the printer always reported "Ink System Failure".

The vendor "4InkJets" does not pay return shipping so it cost me $7.50 to find out that these do not work. LD © HP 02 Remanufactured Bulk Set of 13 Ink Cartridges: 3 Black + 2 Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan, Light Magenta

13 Pack of HP 02 Ink Compatible Cartridges: 3 Black + 2 Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan, Light Magenta by 4inkjets/LD

When I opened the Cyan cartridge it spilled a big amount of ink on my fingers and on the top of my desk!! I never got this problem with original HP cartridges.

Another thing is that the picture in the Amazon web site is misleading since the appearance of the LD cartridges is different from the one of the HP cartridges on display.

Bottom line: I come back to HP cartridges.

I've been using these LD inkjet cartidges for nearly a year now. I've never had a problem, and the HP 7280 AIO that I use them in must think they are from HP. The colors are vibrant and true. This 13 pack is less than half the price of the HP 02 set.

I also think that the LD warranty of one year is a plus, since HP doesn't guarantee their own cartridges for that long. If you buy an HP cartridge and by the time you install it, it's dried up and unusable, I hope you got it at Costco or some place that will let you return it, because HP won't take it back.

Every time I've orderd from LD (4inkjets.com) my order arrives in 2 days.

After reading some of the reviews for this product i was a little worried about buying these cartridges however I did not have any problems with them on my HP Photosmart c7280 and am now ordering another set after using up the the first set.

I've been through an entire set and have not had a single problem. My HP C6180 has great quality and I love saving money. The only drawback I see is that the maximum savings is achieved when purchasing in bulk and I don't always need that many extras. I will purchase again.

I have a HP Photosmart 3210xi printer. I received the bulk set of ink in a timely manner. I was out of a few of my inks at the time of purchase and immediately replaced them with this product. The color seems fine and I have no complaints. I would buy them again.

I ordered this for my HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One printer. Can't beat the price and the shipping was very fast. All the ink cartridges are sealed in plastic, and then in their box. There are two of each color, and 3 blacks. They all have the expiration date printed on their box, which is helpful because my printer gives you an error if the ink is expired. Definitely beats the price of HP ink, and the color and printing is excellent.

Have used one set (of 2) already with no problems at all. Print quality remains as good as original. Perhaps there are potential compatibility issues with certain models based on previous posts?? Nonetheless they seem to work well with C7200 series All-in-One printers. A real bargain compared to HP cartridges. Will purchase again. - Ink Cartridge - C8771wn - 02 - Photosmart'

Memory Cards - psp, memory stick

The Sony 4 GB memory stick is a fake. When I pulled it up with my USB it only said there was 1.60 GB available, meaning there is supposed to be at least 3.40 GB more of free space on it. This is the first and last time I'll purchase anything from this seller.

UPDATE:

I just received a call from the company Worldwide Industries themselves , and when I notified them about the issue, they told me to contact sony to confirm if this was a fake product. The man in customer service was pressuring me to remove the bad feedback I gave them for my disatisfaction for the product, and as gullable as I was, I did. When I called up Sony, their personnel indeed said that this was fake and there should at least be 3.5 GB available. I should of followed my first insticts, but all I can do to help those who are contemplating on buying from this seller is telling them to NOT support this seller. They have customer service that tries to con you out of your cash. Just like one of the reviewers below said, "this is disgusting." Sony 4 GB Memory Stick PRO DUO Media (MSX-M4GS) (Retail Package)

I bought one from "allways-satisfied" it was very slow in the beginning then it stopped working forever!!

actually I was surprised with the price it was only $37.88

My advice is that you have to buy from Sony only.

Initially I was thinking of getting a Sandisk 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo for my PSP, for about $10 cheaper. But I had some negative experience with Sandisk flash memory cards before so I decided to get the real Sony one. I haven't had my Sony 4GB for long enough to know its long-term durability, but so far it's been totally worth the extra 10 bucks. It's fast and reliable, which gives me a peace of mind (worth more than $10, I hope). You get about 3700MB of usable storage which is still plenty.

This will hold my game saves and a couple movies plus my favorite episodes from The Simpsons as well as some MP3 files and photos for a while. I look forward to the day when Sony upgrades the PSP's firmware to allow the use of the upcoming 8GB (reportedly already available in Japan) and 16GB Memory Stick PRO Duo cards.

I originally had a 2 gig Memory Stick. I thought it had so much room I'd never fill it up. Then I decided I'd go with this 4 gig stick for those times on vacation, etc. when you're taking a lot of pics and video. This thing is truly amazing!!! I've been taking pictures like crazy (my family just groans each time I start snapping pictures). I have hardly scratched the surface in storage on this stick.

I highly recommend it. It's so easy to insert into my computer and download pictures.

It's wonderful!!!

i bought one and it didnt work so i sent it to sony and got it back and they said it was a fake and that they wouldnt fix it of course then i called amazon and told them and they said to contact the seller which i did and now im waiting to get my money back worse purchase i have ever made

I purchased the Sony memory in Dec 2007 and have been having problems with the camera from the first day. Isolated the problem to the memory and contacted Sony. The memory was sent to Sony Mar 24, 2008 and I received an answer back today from Sony that the memory is defective. However, Sony says the memory is a forgery and not really their product, so no warranty.

This was the first time I did not buy Lexar memory and the last time I will stray.

i've purchased a sony 4gb memory stick pro duo about 1 months ago from seller fooglehotdeal, and i just realized that the item was fake.

so for those of you who are purchasing this prouduct be careful.

I took a risk buying this mem stick... I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T10 and the owner's manual says it only supports 2GB or smaller sticks. I'd read another user's review who said it'd work so I gave it a go. I bought one of these Sony 4GB Memory Stick PRO DUO ( MSX-M4GS ) for my first trip to New York. Five days, a 1000+ pictures and many minutes of short little movies - and the stick was great. Got home, plugged in and WinXP had no problem pulling the files right off. I guess the manual was just outdated, maybe 4GB wasn't available at print time... Anyway, this stick has super fast access all 'round. Good price, excellent product. Thumbs Up!

At the turn of the century we started out with a Cannon GS-1 digital camera with a 16 MB CF cards which went up to 1 GB CF cards a few years later. Then we bought a semi professional Sony DSC-F828 Digital camera which took both CF & Sony Memory sticks but the price for a 1 GB Sony Memory stick was over the top. Today you can get four times the memory at half the price & size with an adaptor to boot with the Sony 4 GB Memory Stick PRO DUO. Amazon.com is selling at a very low price & comes with fast service. Thanks, next time I go on vacation I will bring a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80 with just one 4 GB Memory Stick, put everything in my pocket & wait for the perfect shot. - 4gb - Psp - Sony - Memory Stick'

Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter - wireless, 80211n

I'm on my second router after the first one was replaced through RMA. Router seems to work fine for about a week and then I have problems writing to my attached USB drive. Reads work OK but are incredibly slow. Then the router requires a reboot and the problems go away for about a week. Cisco-Linksys E2100L Advanced Wireless-N Router

I've given this router a 5-star rating based upon the ease of setup and very good wireless coverage. I purchased this router to replace a flaky Belkin router. I did the setup completely from my laptop over the wireless network. No glitches, no problems. I had to refresh a few of my connected wireless devices to update their network connections, but most devices adjusted without any intervention. The coverage is great throughout my house with no noticeable dead spots. Just got this up and running today, so haven't had a chance to directly connect a hard drive for access through the network...tomorrow. Will follow up with any situations that may affect my initial rating...so far no negatives...good product!

Update: Now rating this router with 2-stars. This router didn't work out, downloads were very slow and connection from other wireless components was problematic...replaced with a Buffalo router which is performing flawlessly now.

This wireless router drops connections randomly without any reason. First, let me say that this has nothing to do with Linux. Second, I don't know what extra Linux configuration this LinkSys router provides. The documentation that comes with the CD (and on their Web site) doesn't mention anything about it. I tried to SSH into the router and was not able to. I used this router with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X, and Linux machines and all of them experienced the dropped connection problem. All. Once the connection dropped, not one of the machines I mentioned was able to re-connect. One must reboot the router in order to re-connect.

The USB shared storage doesn't work properly since it hangs randomly when one tries to access a share. The network is never busy when this happens. Be careful if you're moving files, as the network glitch might cause you to lose data.

There is only one thing I like about this wireless router. It does allow you to assign fixed IP addresses to any computer via its DHCP feature. This, however, is not enough for me to keep on using it. It was returned. LinkSys routers used to be so solid, I hope this is not the sign of things to come now that Cisco had taken over.

I love this box, but lawyers obviously got involved. First: TURN OFF THER FIREWALL. If not your web browsing experience will be problematic. READ THE MANUAL about storage. Turn of PnP is you are not gaming. The USB Frice is 2.0. If you expect lightening read-writes, you are not going to get it any faster than any USB attached drive. It will be limited in speed either way. N-band is not the problem, the problem is the firewall. Also use proxy arp. Turn on proxy arp, save the config, restart your internet acess and restart the router.

ONE LAST IMPORTANT ITEM: CHeck the Frequency being used. N-band will overlap with home wireless phones. This screw both the phones and you connection. Change the wireless to manual, pick 20Mhz-40Mhz width and then choose the highes frequency in the scroll-down lsit. Reboot and Viola!

Why does Cisco do this? Lawyers. Do these things and your will live well.

Martin

beckmanmartin@hotmail.com

Their software, Cisco Connect said that it saw the router, but it wouldn't connect to the internet. The software pretty much is useless after that.

Called their support, but couldn't get it fixed after the usual multiple plug out - plug in routine, and a few manual changes.

I have an old Linksys router that worked just fine, but couldn't get this new one to work. Returned it to the store.

EDIT FOR ALL THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT THE LINUX VARIANT IS:

Linksys happened to use the Linux embedded operating system in its early router and wireless router firmware. Because of Linux licensing, the source code had to be released to the public (I think the Free Software Foundation actually sued).

Independent opernsource developers took the original source code and added many features unavailable in the Linksys version, such as wireless bridging, sometimes called WDS (very useful for expanding a single network across large large homes, including adding wirelessly-bridged wired ports in garages or work sheds), QoS, monitoring, and so forth. These variants include "Tomato", "DD-WRT", and "OpenWRT."

A year later, Linksys moved on to a new hardware design with limited memory which squashed any hope of using the new feature rich firmwares. Consumers complained and/or bought other routers. Linksys responded by releasing an "L" variant of its router. The L stood for Linux, as in, it would run the old Linux firmware. (I would have opted for "O" for opensource).

WHY THE "L" IN THIS MODEL'S NAME IS MISLEADING:

I couldn't find any of the previous boxy Linksys routers when I visited my local computer store. They were all taken off the shelf.

I bought this model thinking it was the closest thing to my old router. The "L" designation used to mark Linksys products that supported the original Broadcom-focused opensource Linux firmware and its variants. Not any more. Or at least it's not that simple. The opensource community seems to be playing catchup moving to the E2100's Athenos chipset (if they catch up at all). I have no clue what "L" means in this model actually. A search through the Linksys user manual for "Linux" comes up empty. But the box does taught ambiguous performance advantages possibly when used with a Linux operating system.

DD-WRT shows no signs of a pending E2100L firmware release. Nor does Tomato. Check your favorite firmware compatibility list very carefully. I'm probably going to return this puppy in favor of a stale WRT54GL. - Wireless Router - Wireless - Best Router - 80211n'

Training - gps watch, gps

I consider myself a beginner when it comes to running. After looking around for several options, I decided to get the Polar RS300X G1 because of its multisport capabilities. I could easily run or ride my bike with it, and I would be able to measure distance and pace with the same device, without having to install/uninstall things to my bike every time I wanted to change excersices. After considering the Garmin 305 I decided to go for the Polar because of the extremely big and uncomfortable size of the Garmin. Everything looked nice in the website, but the story changed after only a few weeks I've owned the training computer.

1) The watch itself is incapable of transmitting data to the Polar site (or any other running website) which makes it a little boring for you as a user to log in and "manually" enter your data every time you complete an excersise. I was very sad to know that in order to do this automatically I have to separately purchase an extra device (Polar Flowlink @ $55.00).

2) I have been experiencing some problems with the accuracy of the distance. Since I just got my watch a few weeks ago, I entered in several forums to see if any other user was experiencing what I was going through, and to my unpleaseant surprise, yes... they were. Basically, the battery life of the G1 GPS Sensor is so short that you can only use it for up to 8 hours. More than that and you will start getting incorrect data from your runs. What is the purpose of a GPS sensor if you can get accurate data from it? Now I will have to constantly purchase batteries just to keep my distances correct.

Very sad that Polar hasn't come with better solutions for this issues. I saw several users unhappy about this same thing in their own web site. Polar RS300X G1 Heart Rate Monitor Watch with G1 GPS Sensor (Orange)

I love this thing! The custom zones are great. Had my zones and VO2 levels tested at the gym and my trainer was able to set the watch to MY zones. This also allows me to see a more accurate calorie count.

A couple notes that didn't keep me from giving it 5 stars, but just to keep in mind:

1. The orange is MUCH brighter than on my screen. Think, street construction cone orange. It's much more neon orange.

2. The G1 GPS Sensor is AWESOME on most days. I recently ran with it on a very cloudy/rainy day and it completely lost track of the signal. I haven't used the footpod, so can't compare, but I may end up buying it for use on cloudy days.

I bought this watch about six months ago and have been pretty happy overall with its performance. I also bought the Flowlink along with the watch (and GPS arm band), but I have yet to use it because of the hassle of downloading the Polar software from its website. Even without being to download my workouts, I still take pleasure in using the watch and GPS. It has been invaluable to know what my pace and distance have been, although I'm not sure if the speeds, and therefore distances, are totally accurate. I say this because I have run with my boyfriend who has a Garmin with built in GPS and his watch says that we're going slower than mine does. Regardless, it gives me an idea of where I'm at.

The only issues that I have had with the watch have been one, if you accidentally hit your arm against something while not intending to exercise, you can start the timer. Two, while running in lightly wooded areas (big paths cut between fairly dense trees) the watch will lose satellite connection and will beep at you until it finds them again. I have found that turning the GPS off and then back on again seems to work. Of course, you have to stop and fumble around with it, but that's what it is. Issue three is the fact that the chest belt transmitter sometimes loses the ability to "talk" to the watch while working out. I have found that before each workout, one really needs to wipe down the chest strap (warm water) before starting. Like the instructions say, the strap needs to be moistened before working out anyhow, but a good wipedown is essential to have uninterrupted transmission for the duration of your workout.

First this watch and GPS can work very well. The GPS can report extremely accurate distances and can on occasion perform well in lightly wooded areas.

But, the watch/GPS gets completely confused about 25% of the time. The manual says that you should let the watch find your HR before you turn on the GPS. Once you turn on the GPS it seems to takes a minute or so for the GPS to find Satellites. (I have not timed this....perhaps it is an extremely annoying 20 seconds, I just know I am ready to go but am standing around in my driveway waiting for my watch) "So, why not just turn on the GPS a bit before I am ready?" you may ask. Well, I have NEVER gotten it to work any way other than standing outside well away from my house, with the watch entirely ready to go other than the GPS and then turning the GPS on last. Assuming you do that you have a decent chance that it will work. If the watch starts complaining about the GPS once you are a good ways down the road there is probably about a 50/50 chances you are out of luck for the day. Sometimes it has just lost the Satellites. Lose of satellite it usually recovers from this fairly quickly and the lose will probably not effect your total distance. However, if your watch wants you to check the GPS it is done for the day. When I do check the GPS, the GPS indicates that it is on and is tracking satellites but the watch continues to be periodically unhappy with it. Sometimes will continue to track your pace reasonably well. You may also be encouraged to see your total distance increasing. This probably means your moving away from your starting point. If you are on a closed coarse, by the time you get back to your starting point your total distance is zero. If this is a coarse you know, then I suppose this is no great loss, except why did you spend so much money on a watch with GPS.

Also, you must let the watch know if it should or should not be expecting a GPS sensor. This is a global setting. I think it would make much more sense for this setting to be associate with the exercise. I have tried to use the watch with different exercises. (e.g. jogging / resistance training / stationary bike) I don't really wanna wear the GPS unless I am jogging. But, the use must change both the exercise and the S-Sensor setting separately. I suppose which way is better is a matter of opinion. I can also see where this complaint on my part might be considered whining. But, I think most users who would be notably impacted would be happier with the S-Sensor seeing associated with the exercise. As a software engineer if I can do a little extra work to save users a handful of seconds everyday, I do it. I consider that fact Polar did not, a sign of apathy and complacency. I have similar feeling about the apparent fickle startup procedure for the GPS.

Finally, I trust the watches calorie approximation very little. If you set your VO2Max manually instead of trusting the watches test it does get closer to every other reference I have used as a baseline for comparison. Since I didn't know mine, I self tested using the Rockport test and if you are having a good GPS day the Rockport test is easy to perform. In any case I feel the Rockport test is destined to give much better results than the at rest test Polar performs. It seems to me that building in a Rockport test in addition to the at rest test would have been ideal for a company that would enjoy selling more GPS units. They may have very good reasons for not doing so, but reading between the lines, I again find myself assuming it to be a sign of apathy and complacency.

The watch is still a cute toy and I am not exactly throwing it away, but I can't help but feel I could have gotten a better value elsewhere and were it more than a toy to me, I would be replacing it. - Gps Watch - Gps - Garmin - Polar Rs300x'

4 3 Aspect Ratio - dpf, pandigital

Got this as a Christmas present for my mom. Loaded some test pictures on there just to ensure picture quality was good and that it worked reasonably well. Have read some reviews (while researching DPFs) that some DPFs are not worth buying. Issues with picture quality and ease of use.

There are two ways you can put pictures on this frame. There is a memory card slot in the back and you can also connect this unit to your computer with the supplied USB cable.

I had no problem connecting and uploading 20 mb of pictures. Display quality is excellent. It does auto crop pictures so that they don't looked stretched or distorted.

I read another review about how to adjust picture sizes so that this unit does not have to auto crop.

Although I haven't used the ap to auto crop yet, basically you have to download Microsoft Photo Story from microsoft to do so. I'm sure there are other apps, free or otherwise that do so.

Very happy with this unit. Now wife wants one. I would say, anything less that 10 inches is a waste of money. I do not see how a 7 inch frame would provide a nice veiwable screen.

You can change how frequently the images change, whether or not it crops them. Lots of features. The only con I have is its a little hard to use menu. Read the manual...

A~ Pandigital PanImage PI1003DW 10.1-Inch Digital Picture Frame (Black)

I got this photo frame for my father for Christmas and filled it with some pictures before I wrapped it. My parents divorced when I was 7, and somehow my father didn't seem to receive any of the pictures of my me and my twin sister after my folks had split. When I graduated college my mother made me a scrapbook and my father, looking through it, mentioned that he didn't have any of these pictures and "that's where they all went". So I took my Canon scanner and took some pages out of my scrapbook, and scanned some of the photos to put in this frame, which gave me a pretty good indication of how this product works.

Pros:

It's a nice looking frame. It can hang on the wall, which is a must for my dad and stepmom, who have a two year-old at home. It also has a plastic fold-out leg to sit on a table. The leg actually comes out and extends, which was not glaringly obvious at first. I only figured it out after the frame slid over several times.

The picture quality is good. The pixels present on the frame are very minimal, and not present at all when viewing the frame from several feet away.

It comes with a remote which is pretty handy if you've ever seen anyone trying to change things by pressing all over the frame.

It is versatile as far as input goes: You can put pictures on the frame with a USB cord to the internal memory, or use an array of memory cards, or even a memory stick (although I'm not sure that you would want to).

Features: You can change the duration of the slides, the effects from one picture to another (fade, roll, etc), the randomness of the photos, etc. You can edit the photos so that they appear a certain way in the frame only, although this only works for photos saved to the hard drive.

Cons:

It comes with two mattes for the frame. One is black, the color of the frame, and the other is white. I cannot see any reason you would want to use the white one. I think its a waste of materials and a pointless inclusion.

Ease of use: When I first opened the frame, I inserted an 8 gb memory card into the slot and plugged it into my computer. Two devices appeared on my Macbook Pro's desktop: One that said Panimage (okay, obviously the frame), and the other that said "No Name". It took me a few minutes to realize that the panimage icon was for the hard drive in the frame, and the other was the memory card. I dragged and dropped the images, but was unsure of where I was supposed to put them. Also, I dragged and dropped images I had exported from Aperature, a photo editing program. I always shoot photos in RAW + large, and when examining the frame, I realized it had also imported the Raw format as well. All of these images were in the frame as "unsupported format" taking up space. I feel that there should be something that rejects the unsupported formats, so I wouldn't have to erase them all manually afterwards.

Another thing that was a bit of a bummer is that you cannot play the slideshow from the internal memory as well as the memory card. Its one or the other.

I read another review that stated the remote did not work. Mine did, but barely. Its nice that it came with a remote, but it felt cheap and was tiny. The buttons did not have much of a tactile response and it sometimes took two or three presses of a button, pointed directly at the screen for it to register.

The crop aspect ratio is off, as I've seen others mention. If you choose to fit the images to the frame, it chops off the top inch or so for any photos that are shoot in the vertical orientation. It worked great for photos in the 4x3 aspect. Unfortunately, because many heads were chopped off with this setting, I took it off, forcing all photos to be seen with a slight black border around them. This essentially made the photos smaller.

Conclusion:

Its a good frame for the money. I've seen many other frames go for a lot more. This has some customizable features which you may choose to use or not, but you aren't paying a ridiculous price for them. Once you get past figuring out how to use it and make it look the way you want, it does have a nice, sleek design. To me, that was one of the most important things. - Pandigital - Digital Photo Frame - Dpf - Photo Frame'

This is my really first deception in the online shopping world, because I can't even turn on the phone, I connect the phone to the charger and nothing happens; I couldn't return the phone to the warranty because I'm out of the USA. In a few words I lost 143.98$ and I can't do anything.

The seller "Vegabuy" sent me several emails asking me that I remove the negative feedback, and talk with them, so I remove the negative feedback and now they don't answer me my emails.

Sincerely

Giuseppe Bifaretti Sidekick 3 Unlocked GSM Smartphone Sidekick III

I bought this phone online and this damn thing doesn't work, its not charging, I tried to charge it on different plug points but it wouldn't work :(.

I am a big fan of AMAZON.COM and do all my shopping here and this is the first time around i got a defective package :(.

I have returned the Phone to the seller and i am waiting for a New piece or refund.

Plus The box didn't have the standard accessories like Pouch, SD Card, Handsfree and the String to attach. :(

Very unhappy about the product.

Hope AMAZON helps me.

I purchased this phone through Amazon.com from a company called "slickdeals4you". I have to say that I was a little concerned about "slickdeals4you" since they really did not have much of a website that I could find and the only contact was via a hotmail address.

But since it was being ordered through Amazon I figured I'd be covered if there was a problem. As it turned out, the phone arrived right on time. It's a great phone if you do a lot of texting since it has the full qwerty keyboard. Call quality was fine. It's a fairly large, bulky phone though.

However, after a few weeks it developed a problem with the screen. It would regularly display an unreadable, garbled mess. I contacted the seller via email and received a prompt response. In fact, I ended up emailing him several times over several days and he always responded quickly and politely.

He advised me that I was within the 30 day return period and that I could return it for replacement, which I did. I received the replacement phone exactly 7 days (including weekends) from the day I shipped the defective phone to him. Very fast service.

I was so happy to get this phone because I could finally text with a key board. The swivel is nice as well. However, there is no alarm which I need daily. How does a cell phone not have an alarm???? It has no calculator. It does not record videos. I have a cell phone that I paid $30 for(the phone the sidekick is replacing) and it has all of the obvious features. Now I am going to have to keep my old cell phone plugged up so that I will have an alarm.

I have received the phone on time, but i found out that it was locked, so i had to take to an expert to unlock it. Secondly, the reception is very bad, i rarely find a signal on the phone, which means i cant rely on it. I wont recommend this phone to anyone, because its a waste of money!!

I bought this phone for my 13 year old son because he's always wanted a sidekick and this one was affordable. A message pops up on the phone constantly saying that the back is not in place and he has to remove the battery cover and replace it. He also has to put the charger into the phone a specific way or it will not charge. He probably won't keep it long anyway and it suits his needs for now, but I wouldn't really recommend it.

I bought this phone for my daughter back in August. At first she didn't have any problems with it, but after a month the screen started to glitch. Then a couple months later her battery died and she lost all her important stuff she had saved to her phone. And recently the charger won't work right if she moves it a little bit it stops charging. She doesn't get half of her text messages or they won't send and she has to shut the phone off and turn it back on. She said that the activation screen shows up on hers once a day. Also the scroll ball stopped working, sometimes when it works she has to push on it 6 or 7 times to click on something or it decides to move and click on something else. She has babied that phone and it's having all those problems. She also got tired of when she'd turn it off and then turn it back on she had to set the date and time. My daughter said the camera quality is terrible and this was the worst phone shes ever owned. - Unlocked Cell Phones - Sidekick 3 - Cell Phone - Tmobile'

Wireless Smoke Detector - smoke alarms, safety

I love the idea of this system, and as soon as I found it, I had to order a set for my home and my grandmother's home. They work as advertised. One goes off, and they all go off. Push the mute button on one, and they all silence for a bit.

I feel much safer with them in the house, but the system has one flaw. That is that there are only have 2 models available. One is a wired model that interconnects a wired and interconnected system to the battery powered wireless system, and the other is a battery powered wireless system. Both utilize ionization sensors. There is no battery powered photoelectric option, or better yet, a dual sensor version.

Here is a quote from Amazon's own product description; """This alarm uses ionization sensing technology. Ionization sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms. Kidde strongly recommends that both ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms be installed to help insure maximum detection of the various types of fire that can occur within the home.""" So Kidde knows that you should have both types, and even "strongly recommends" it, but then does not give an option to wirelessly connect both types.

There is also no wireless CO2 or combustible gas sensor. I suppose you could find wired interconnected versions of those detectors, but that is hardly an easy solution...

I'll say it once more though to emphasize; I feel much safer with this interconnected system than with my previous non-interconnected system!!!

I just wish Kidde would give a little more variety to this otherwise great system.

I have had the system installed for a little over a year now. There have been no false alarms, but they never fail to all go off when one is tested or detects smoke. Batteries lasted about a year. They use 3 AAA batteries each, which they do come with. Kidde 0919-9999/ RF-SM-DC Battery-Operated Smoke Alarm, Wirelessly Interconnectable

I got three of these for my elderly mother, who lives in a beautiful old house and (unfortunately) routinely walks away from the kitchen while she is frying food. I put one in the kitchen, one in the living room and one just outside her bedroom, so she'll be quickly alerted if her frying pan starts to smoke. I've tried breaking her of this dangerous habit, without success. Now at least there is much less chance that things will get out of hand.

The smoke detectors work flawlessly. When one goes off, all of them go off. You don't have to reset each detector, either. Reset any one of them, and they all stop beeping for seven minutes, giving time to clear out the smoke if the problem is minor. They're also piercingly loud.

What a great product. Now you don't have to get an electrician to hardwire smoke alarms together. They also make 110 volt models that are wirelessly networked.

I purchased 4 of these wirelessly interconnected smoke alarms for the 2500sq/ft house that my wife and I are renting. Being in a fairly large house where we often leave doors closed, I felt it was important to have an interconnected system to ensure that we get the earliest (and loudest)notification possible. I would have preferred to have hardwired interconnected smoke alarms, but being as we're renting, I didn't want to start stringing wires all over the house and drilling holes. These Kidde alarms seemed like a perfect fit...they are one of the few wirelessly interconnectable smoke alarms on the market that I can find.

I received the alarms in good order through Amazon Prime 2-day shipping. Setting them up was completely painless. Each alarm has series of small switches on the back of them which is used to "encode" them to talk to only each other. Ensure the coding is identical on the back of all your alarms (PRIOR to putting batteries in), and then put them up like any other smoke alarm. It really is that simple. I did that, tested the alarms a few times...and it worked immediately. Pressing the test button on any of the alarms caused ALL of the alarms to go through the test cycle. Awesome...I felt safer already.

Then, unfortunately, a big problem arose. I own a Skylink SC-1000 Complete Wireless Alarm System, with many additional sensors integrated into it. One of the sensors I use is a Skylink AS-433E Alarm Sensor, which I use to have the smoke alarms trigger my overall security system when smoke is present. This allows me to be notified of the alarms going off, even if no one is home to hear them.

Unfortunately, I came to find out that these smoke alarms operate in the same frequency band as my Skylink Security System...the ISM 902-928MHz band centering on 915. These alarms completely jam all of my security system while they are going off. Not only will it jam the alarm sensor's transmission to the control console, but the also the door sensors, the motion sensors, and the vibration sensors. Basically, it bricks my entire security system. This, obviously, was not acceptable to me. I considered purchasing a competitors equivalent of these alarms, but it appears they also work in the same frequency band. So, I'm returning these alarms, and getting more traditional smoke detectors.

In Short: These alarms provide a great capability. They are easy to install, and seemed to work (for the 24hrs I had them, anyways) as one would expect them to.

HOWEVER...while the Kidde website erroneously says to not worry about RF interference, make sure the RF frequency of these alarms does not interfere with an already existing wireless security system that you may have. If your security system operates in the ISM 902-928 band, these may cause problems. - Detectors - Safety - Kidde - Smoke Alarms'
