Smart Cover - smart cover, apple

If your only draw to this case is the fact that it has the auto sleep feature then keep looking - there are better ones out there. Although it's a great looking piece of minimalist engineering there are a few gripes I have with this case that make it unusable for me. First, I find that the magnetic bond between folds is just barely enough to hold it in the upright position. The slightest bump sends it toppling. Second, I have issue with the open flat position which rotates the cover to the back of the iPad. This is fine if it's on your lap but put it on a table the soft texture picks up whatever dust is on the table and then promptly puts on your screen when you close the case. This same problem can occur when you fold it into a triangle to support one edge. Although you can fold it in a way that the outer leather is exposed it is easy to inadvertently do it the wrong way. Finally, I am really missing the back cover protection. All in all, I wish Apple had taken their iPad 1 case and modified for the iPad 2 with sleep control. A lot of case manufacturers are now incorporating this feature so again, if this is important to you then keep looking. Apple iPad 2 Leather Smart Cover - Black (MC947LL/A)

I've had this cover for a month. I adore my IPad (first one I've owned) and I treat it with great care. I bought the red leather cover (pricey for what it is) specifically so I easily spot my Ipad on a table and it doesn't end up mistaken as a coaster, etc. And it does look attractive.

After a month's use I found the cover, while clever and attractive, is much to delicate and fiddly. I spend more time serving the needs of the cover then having it just working in the backround assisting ME. I was constantly folding it up in the wrong direction and having remember which direction it goes and start over plus it slips its hinges and I have to reseat it, CONSTANTLY. If I use it a horizontally oriented stand and touch the top of the ipad it topples. Not fun if you have it on a granite countertop..my heart has almost stopped a few times.

The back of the Ipad 2 is unprotected. Does this matter? YES. After researching consumer reviews on Amazon to seek out advice or how other people dealt with these issues, I carefully folded back the cover in half flush against the back of the IPad and held the whole thing in my left hand to clean the screen with my right hand. The hinges moved and the whole thing flipped out of my hands and onto the tile floor. Fortunately the glass didn't break, but 3 of the edges got marred and permanently scuffed, since the back is unprotected.

Please don't respond by telling me that its my fault for not removing the cover before giving the screen a quick clean. The consumer shouldn't be spending this much time fiddling with something that's supposed to be protective.

It appeared to be a clever way to cover the front of the IPad2 without adding much bulk or thickness.

With a few "wow" features: magnetic on and off switching, and magnetic attachment to the pad.

But it offers no protection to the IPad.

At the price of the delicate IPad, it may seem surprising that it comes with no case.

Not surprising at all, as Apple wants you to buy a pricey "smart cover".

Not to mention purchasing another IPad when the first one shatters in a fall.

I have two of these covers. one of made of polyurethane and one is black leather.

With both, the stand made by folding the cover into a triangle is not stable and the IPad falls when the screen is touched with any pressure, as when typing.

Sometimes it falls over if the pad is just jostled slightly. Not good.

As it is just a half cover: it only protects the glass front, if that, and the aluminum back is prone to dings and scratches.

In the case of a long fall the pad has no protection at all.

That is 500 dollars - or more - of an investment in a nice Apple IPad shattered.

If you use the cover enough you will find that thee magnetic lining of the cover attracts metallic dust.

Some of that dust is quite able to scratch the face of the pad.

When the IPad falls over from the unstable stand made from folding the cover, the pad gets a healthy knock.

That cannot be a good thing, and I am waiting for the glass to crack.

Actually I am not taking the chance, I will not use these covers anymore.

It is just too risky, and affords no protection.

If you do use this cover make sure you have another case to put the IPad with the "smart cover in.

Otherwise, I cannot recommend these covers in any way.

*Let's start with the shipment:

Delivery: Super fast

Packaging: Not protective enough. I received the cover with the metal part a little bit bent!

*Seller:

Fast communication. Good return and exchange policy.

*Now the item:

Newsflash "THIS IS NOT A GENUINE COVER"!. I have the Apple's one and these are the difference (I'll post photos soon).

-Packaging: Compared to the original one, this one has a protective clear film on the leather part. In the inner part, you'll find a cutout of the iPad screen.

-leather Part: Original cover have a smooth & soft feel. The color is "brownish black" front and black in back with clean cut. This one looks like it was cut out from a black shoe with dark gray back. It's "cheap shiny" and stiff. It feels ok but it doesn't take you more than a minute to feel that this is not the work of Apple!

-Metal Part: Finishing is almost perfect but it's not. You can see some darker spot if you look harder. Also, the rubber pieced placed are not cleanly cut (compared to original) and the middle one is not well placed in the allocated space.

-Built and balance: This one will stick perfectly on the screen from the first time. You have to adjust or pull it cover the edge.

-Strength of magnet: Weaker than the weak original!! Now I know why couple of reviewers were taking about falling iPads!

-Imprinted information: This one has faded black serial# on the metal part while it's shiny black on the original. Another thing, the statement "Designed by Apple in California..etc" is printed in white at the back on this one but ENGRAVED in the original one.

I hope this information helps. I should've known better when I saw the difference of the price (was 54.95 and seller was GSASTORE). My advice, get it from Apple store directly and don't make my mistake. I See here the price and seller are different !!

Waterproof Camera Case - underwater, dicapac

What a wonderful alternative to taking underwater pictures. No need to spend a couple hundred dollars on a underwater housing case or a few hundred for an camera specifically made for underwater. Also don't settle the the cheap one time use under water cameras. These cases allow you to take beautiful clear pictures using your own digital camera. I needed a waterproof case for my Canon PowerShot SD1100IS 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Blue) and since I already owned a Dicapac for a another brand of camera I knew there would be no other choice for me than the DicaPac brand. This is a terrific way to protect your camera from water, sand and even snow. The optical lens sometimes interfere with the camera's zooms lens, just make sure to hold the lens from the camera's view. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Check out the photos I attached to the product page so you can see yourself how clear and beautiful the pictures turned out.

Here is something I found that was helpful since the description does not list the camera's that are compatible:

DicaPac WP410 Case will fit the following brands:

Canon Powershot:

SD10/20/30/40/100/110/200/300/400/430/450/600/630/750/700IS/790IS/800IS/870IS/1000/1100/S200/230/300/400

Sony Cybershot DSC:

S40/500/600/650/700/750/780/W30/35/40/50/55/70/80/90/150/170/200/300

Kodak EasyShare:

C533/643/653/743/763/LS743

M753/763/853/873/883/893IS/1033

I have listed only a few of the camera brands this is compatible with. If you want to see if your camera is compatible, visit the company's website which I found very helpful. Amazon's price can not be beat. DicaPac WP410 160x105mm Small Zoom Alfa Waterproof Digital Camera Case with Optical Lens (Clear)

I recently purchased this product for use in Hawaii and it worked as expected. I used it with an Olympus FE170. Like another reviewed said, be sure you seal the ziplock part completely. Then just roll up and seal the bag and you're all set. I was able to take some pretty nice underwater pictures while snorkeling, as well as out of the water while kayaking.

I only have one very small complaint. The neck strap is fine out of the water, but once you're in the water, it doesn't provide much security. I basically had to hold the camera at all times in one hand and navigate with the other, which is pretty easy with fins on, but it wasn't ideal. I'd prefer a more secure wrist strap.

And one tip, if you come out of the water to take a picture back on the boat or beach, be sure you dab any water off of the lens. I came back with a few pictures that had big water droplets distorting the images, and when the camera is in the bag and the sun is shining you really can't see the LCD screen on the camera.

So to sum up, I highly recommend this product. Just plan ahead. Once we were in Hawaii we didn't see anything like this at any camera stores. All they had were the $100 + hard cases that only fit certain models.

I recently received the two DiCaPac WP410's I ordered and, after checking one out, was pleasantly surprised that I didn't waste my money. According to the instructions I tested the "waterproof" claim and found it to be as they claim, provided the ziplock type of seal on the opening is closed properly. I made the mistake of assuming I had closed the opening where the camera is inserted until I double checked it just before placing it underwater in my kitchen sink. For testing purposes I had placed a small toy inside the pack since it was more expendable than my camera. After being underwater about 8" for around 5 minutes I removed the pack, shook off any small amount of water and while holding the opening at a lower angle I removed the toy as dry as when I placed it in there. Following the beta test the camera was next and had the same dry results. The only thing different this time was that I was able to take pictures of the wall of my stainless steel sink and my face from underwater. While the plastic is a bit thick and can be a slight problem turning any buttons to activate a particular function, pushing buttons is not a problem and you can always activate the camera in the mode you want ahead of time. There is a glass lens that covers the opening where the camera lens protrudes and I was happy it wasn't made out of a cheap plastic prone to scratches. I would suggest using fully charged or new batteries in your camera so you don't have to worry about changing them right away. Other than that I would give this a big thumbs up and can't wait for next summer at the beach (I wouldn't leave this in direct sun since this would no doubt create a greenhouse effect and overheat your camera). In the meantime I'll settle for using it to protect my camera from the rain and the high humidity of an indoor pool.

Used it over the summer and fall while hiking in wet situations and boating (it got dropped in the water) and it did fine for that- clunky to use but the lens was very clear- Snorkling this winter was another thing- while it maybe rated for 16feet ,that does not take into account the pressures created by strong currents and waves I ran into and a small amount of seawater got forced into the case through the screw on lens killing off the display on my Canon SD1100-which will actually still take shots- I just cant select any functions. 2009 Amazon Frustration-fre - jewel cases, cd cases

The price on the cases is cheap but you get what you pay for. I will never buy these cases again. Quite a few of them were broke when I got them. Even the ones that weren't broke are made of VERY flimsy plastic and I have a feeling they will break if I open them very often. They also don't open and shut very easy. Look elsewhere for good cases. Fellowes 100PK SLIM JEWEL CASE ( 98335 )

These cases are great. I ordered 100 dvd+rw's with this 100-pack of jewel cases. Since the dvd's came on a spindle, I took them and put them in these slim-line cases. However, on the side edges on some of the cases, there are little pieces of plastic that can be broken off. Once that's done, they are smooth just like other slim-line cases. I'm not sure why it's like that, but I'd buy more of them. They serve their purpose well. They don't come with any labels, so you may want to consider another brand if you need them.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered this product. I received the 1st shipment with several damaged cases. This last shipment I paid more attention to the packing: the cases were put in the bottom of a big carton & lots of 'packing paper' was put on top & on the sides! FLASH guys: bottom of the carton - where the cases were unprotected - is what gets banged around & where damage occurs! I hate to be sarcastic but it's so obvious & elemental that this kind of 'poor' packaging shows thoughtlessness & lack of consideration! You guys need to improve your 'packaging/shipping services'! I feel embarrassed to have to say this, but, guys, get your act together. This was not the time I've had this happen!

I have ordered this product twice now. We have replaced all our dvd boxes/cases with these thinner, shorter cases to make more room on our shelves. They arrived unharmed, unlike others have reported, but did think there wasn't enough packing material when I opened the box.

These aren't terrible special cases. Thin and serviceable. Sturdy enough to put on the shelf, but a bit flimsy if you are going to transport discs frequently.

Overall, I got just what I expected.

(update: I have now ordered this product three times and will likely order again should I have the need for the extra cases.)

at least 10 of the 100 came broken. this is not the first time this has happened with your cases. it must be a quality control problem as most the damaged cases were on the inside. I will not buy your cases again.

As others have said, these cases are a great way of throwing your money away. Roughly 4 in 5 are broken out of the box, and the rest are so cheaply made I figure the hinges will snap after opening them more than 2 or 3 times. Avoid at all cost.

I have used thousands of these slim cases because of my video productions but this was the first time I tried the "Fellowes" brand because they were very economic - cheap. Well, they are certainly cheap alright. They break at the opening ends and I have been throwing away 50% or more and have concluded that it is simply junk and are in the end more expensive than the good and trustworthy brands. Besides the aggravation!!! I cannot use them for my work because it will ruin my good name. I rated it one star because it seems to be the minimum but frankly had zero stars in mind.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy this poor product but buy a known brand.

You will feel sorry after wards, believe me. - Slim Jewel Cases - Jewel Cases - Cd Cases - Fellowes'

Action Adventure - science fiction, action adventure

More action than the original! A new step forward for the popular sci-fi Walt Disney film.

As a fan of the original 1975 film "Escape to Witch Mountain", I have to admit that I felt a bit standoffish about a retelling of the film series. With Dwayne Johnson cast as the primary character in the film, it was evident to me that the new film "Race to Witch Mountain" would be a more action-based film but over 35 years since the first film, you can only wonder how far special effects would go for and how campy but yet entertaining and family friendly, the new storyline would be.

Taking on the helm as director for "Race to Witch Mountain" would be Andy Fickman (producer for "Anaconda" and director of "The Game Plan", "Who's Your Daddy"). The screenplay would be written by Matt Lopez ("Bedtime Stories") and Mark Bomback ("Deception", "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Godsend"). Music by Trevor Rabin ("12 Rounds", "Get Smart", "National Treasure: Book of Secrets", etc.) and cinematography by Greg Gardiner ("Herbie Fully Loaded", "Elf", "New York Minute", etc.).

The film would star Dwyane Johnson ("The Scorpion King", "Gridiron Gang", "The Game Plan" and "Get Smart"), Carla Gugino ("Sin City", "American Gangster", "The One", etc.), AnnaSophia Robb ("Bridge to Terabithia", "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Jumper"), Alexander Ludwig ("The Sandlot 3' and "A Little Thing Called Murder"), Ciaran Hinds ("The Sum of All Fears", "Lara Coft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life", "The Phantom of the Opera", etc.) and Garry Marshall ("Pretty Woman", "Chicken Little" and "Murphy Brown").

"Race to Witch Mountain" continues Disney's dedication of a 3-Disc release with the Blu-ray, DVD version of the film and a Digital Copy.

VIDEO & AUDIO:

"Race to Witch Mountain" is featured in 1080p High Definition (with an aspect ratio of 2:40:1). Overall, picture quality is good but where many other Walt Disney films tend to utilize more daylight scenes, "Race to Witch Mountain" is shot indoors in dark spaces or outdoors during the night. There are daylight scenes but more the most part, you find the main characters trying to utilize darkness in order to give a sense of the group trying to hide out. So, for the most part, the film is not exactly vibrant or colorful but you can expect a lot of blacks and blues being utilized during the darker scenes in the film.

During the daylight scenes, there is a little softness (not by digital noise reduction) but picture quality is not as vibrant as other recently released live-action Disney-related films but I think the somewhat muted colors was a personal decision by cinematographer Greg Gardiner. But overall, picture quality is good, it's just a film that leans more towards darkness with a lot of shadows.

As for audio quality, the audio is well done. The English 5.1 DTS-HD lossless soundtrack really capture the action. There were several scenes that I just had to replay because it really shook my living room (a scene where Jack and the kids are riding on the railroad tracks), there is serious LFE in this film and you can expect your subwoofer to be utilized. Where the dialogue is crisp and clear through the center and front channels, there is also a lot of surround and rear surround usage during the action scenes.

Frankly speaking, "Race to Witch Mountain" was quite pleasing to listen to. It's an aggressive soundtrack and maybe not as aggressive as a film like "Transformers" or "Quantum of Solace" but still a lossless soundtrack that you can expect metal shrieking, car crashes and deep explosions that you can feel through seat. This is one of the most aggressive lossless soundtracks I have heard from Disney (for a live-action film) thus far.

Subtitles are featured in English SDH, French and Spanish.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

"Race to Witch Mountain" comes with the following special features presented in HD and standard with English 2.0 Dolby Digital audio:

* Deleted Scenes - (23:21) Optional introduction by Director Andy Fickman, the following deleted scenes are featured: Intro, Extended Opening Ray's, Extended Ray's Telekinesis, Jack Beats Up Zacha, Tina Meets Siphon, Sara Foils Security Fence, Alex Foils Guard, Extended Goodbye Scene and the Original Ending. It's important to note that the alternate ending which is literally an extended version is quite important and would build up to a sequel. Personally, the alternative ending would have worked but Director Andy Fickman decided to keep it simple which is understandable.

* Bloopers - (3:37) The blooper reel featuring Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, AnnaSophia Robb, Alexander Ludwig and Garry Marshall having fun and messing up their lines.

* Backstage Disney - (8:20) Director Andy Fickman reveals hidden references to the original movies "Escape to Witch Mountain" and "Return from Witch Mountain" and other Disney tie-ins.

* Learn How to Take Your Favorite Movies on a Go - (1:04) Your typical Disney information trailer of what digital copy is.

JUDGMENT CALL:

With the recent release of "Escape to Witch Mountain" and "Return from Witch Mountain" on DVD, it was good to rewatch the classic films since so much time has passed since I watched those two films and prepare me for "Race to Witch Mountain".

For the most part, "Race to Witch Mountain" has no similarities to the original with the exception that the antagonist are going after the children. And also, in this case, also Jack Bruno. The other major difference is that the children in "Escape to Witch Mountain" are orphans who just want a loving family and are blessed with supernatural abilities which they don't know why. It's not revealed of what they are until the end of the film, whereas "Race to Witch Mountain" reveals what the kids are right after the beginning and from then on the film becomes more action-based and a more aggressive cat vs. mouse type of film.

So, needless to say, the film is not the same type of film that children in the 1970's grew up with. Where the older films were definitely crafted as innocent family films, "Race to Witch Mountain" is a film that was created to appeal to both children and adults. You know that with Dwayne Johnson, you're going to see some major butt kicking and with these two extraterrestrial kids, really take advantage of their power and of course, with modern technology, definitely giving the film a much more modern spin to their powers, the look of their spacecraft and of course, everything looks quite slick.

It's important to note that despite the film being much different than the previous two films, director Andy Fickman who was a big fan of the original knew that there should be some tie-in to the original. So, the original characters that played Tony (Ike Eisenmann) and Tia (Kim Richards) in the first two films, have a significant part in this film rather than short few second cameos. Also, Fickman made sure to put a lot of references of the original film, in this new film as well (note: there is a special feature dedicated to director Andy Fickman showing the various homage paid to the original film).

For parents who are wondering if the film is safe, I watched this film with my six year old and we both enjoyed the film. If anything, its the aggressive soundtrack that I think that freaked him out (of course, I loved it) because there are plenty of explosions and action sequences that will utilize your home theater but might be a bit too much for the kids. There are scenes with the kids being manhandled by the alien Siphon and since it is an action film, there is many chase scenes and fighting. So, there is violence in that regard. But for the most part, the film doesn't show any blood. In fact, despite the beating Jack Bruno (Dwayne Johnson) goes through, he's not bruised and bloody. Disney made sure the film is kept tame for families to watch.

Overall, I understand that if some parents who felt the wholesomeness of the original films has been thrown out the door with this new film "Race to Witch Mountain". Personally, I enjoyed this film and enjoyed the hidden tie-ins of the original film and to see the original talent in this film... that was fun!

But this is a more action-driven film that focuses on a man who has had his troubles in the past, keeping his promise in making sure that these kids get to their destination. Of course, Dwayne Johnson's Jack Bruno is no Eddie Albert's Jason O'Day but there is a feeling of guardianship that both Jack and Dr. Alex Friedman feel for the children and are willing to sacrifice their own lives to protect them.

As for the Blu-ray release, "Race to Witch Mountain" sports one of the most aggressive Disney lossless soundtracks that I have heard so far. But it's also important to note that the picture quality was good but not as magnificent and unlike other Disney releases on Blu-ray, there are far less special features included. But you do get the two other discs which include a DVD and a digital copy of the film.

"Race to Witch Mountain" is an enjoyable film and definitely a step forward in bringing the "Witch Mountain" to a more modern time for today's audiences. But for those who enjoyed "Escape to Witch Mountain", personally I feel that director Andy Fickman did the best thing by leaving the original alone and let that film be known for its merit and not copy it but showing his own respect for the original film film his way and it worked. I can also understand those who loved the originals, as they were more character driven, feel-good family storylines whereas this film goes in another direction and focuses primarily on the action. And it's also important to note that the sequel "Return from Witch Mountain" is also a film that is very different from the original film and a bit more darker in its storyline as well. So, in a way all three "Witch Mountain" films are quite different in presentation but yet they all retain a sense of family, it's just presented differently.

Overall, "Race to Witch Mountain" is a fun, enjoyable film definitely worth recommending! Race to Witch Mountain (Single-Disc Edition) - Family Movie - Witch Mountain - Science Fiction - Action Adventure'

I won't use anything else in my cars. When I buy a car, I keep them and take very good care of them. My most experience with Mobil 1 was on my 1995 Eagle Talon TSi turbo which I bought new. I sold the car last year and the motor was still like new with 180,000 miles on it. Even the turbo was still like new. I used Mobil 1 from about 8k miles on. I sold it in August of 2008 to a young motor-head an he's since put another 20k on the motor. 200k on a turbo 4g63? that's some good oil. And when you checked inside the valve cover, like new. The cams had no wear. Seals on the motor never leaked. I currently run mobil 1 in all our cars which includes an '08 Toyota Avalon, '03 Maxima 6 speed, and an '02 accord. The accord has 140k on it, still running like new. I break in the new cars with dino then switch 'em to Mobil 1. I also extend the drain intervals to 7-10k. Mobil 1 94001 Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil - 1 Quart, Pack of 6

I highly recommend Mobil synthetic 5w-30 and 10w-30. I have been using it in all of my cars, ATV, home generator, and 10w-30 in my trucks since 1990 and all who have worked on my engines comment how clean they have been. All quick to start in Montana cold weather, always better MPG than manufacturer stated, never overheating, and no oil consumption with age. I recommend starting from the beginning with your vehicle. It is an excellent product, even recommended adding a little to your chain saw bar-oil for all season cutting, especially cold weather when bar oil can gum-up.

I've used Mobil 1 ever since they came out with it and I'm a firm believer. My car uses this as the OEM motor oil and I won't use anything else. The interval between oil changes as determined by the on-board computer is about 10,000 miles and when I check the oil in between it always looks clean. Your car is worth thousands of dollars, don't skimp on cheap motor oil, get this.

Mobil 1 is the bar for decent synthetic oil. There are better oils out there (Red Line, Motul), but this is the best one you can find in almost every auto shop in the US. Its the recommended oil on many great cars and trucks -- there's no need to use something better unless you're participating in motor sports. However, Amazon is not the place to buy it. Several retailers sell it for 25% less every day.

I've used this motor oil on a '89 Corrolla got 279,000 miles on it engine was fine. On a 1995 Corrolla got 192,000 miles before it too was junked. In both cases the engines were in excellent shape the bodies just got broken (deer etc.)There is no better motor oil,in my book than this. I live in a cold climate. Regular oil will congeal and flow like molasses in cold weather. That's where engine wear takes place. Mobil 1 stays fluid at extremely low temps. Do this experiment, take a jar with a tight lid and put Castrol 5w30 and Mobil 1 5w30 oil in them. Leave them in the freezer for a few days. Take them out and turn them over. You'll see why Mobil 1 is superior.

Mobil 1 is without a doubt the standard for all oils to be measured by. Unfortunately each grade of oil has different levels of group 3 & 4 oil types. The Mobil 0W40 is probably the best heavy 30 weight on the market. The 5W30 Mobil... well I would buy any synthetic 5W30 that was less expensive. Buying oil on sale has a price point advantage and the performance levels of the syns are similar.

Bought a new Camaro and at the first oil change filled with Mobil-1 thereafter. Within the first year got a warning of engine overheating. Took the the car into the dealership, David Stanley, and they could not figure out the problem, but got the warning light to abate. After a couple of weeks the same problem and again took the car in and they could find no problem and reset the warning. After a week or so the same problem and this time took it to another dealership, Bob Howard, and they said the oil pump had gone out. Even with little/no oil pump the car never locked up. Mobil-1 isn't half-bad.'

Htc Inspire Case - htc inspire 4g

Bought the phone. Couldn't find a pouch case ANYWHERE that fit, as the Inspire is wider than most of its peers. This pouch even fits with a skin case on the phone. Wow. Great price. Great service from the seller, too. Premium Executive Black Vertical Leather Carrying Pouch Case for HTC Inspire 4G (Free Gift)

This product fits the phone like a glove. Leather seems sturdy, durable and of good quality. It protects the phone well as I don't have a cover over the phone. It has a magnet that keeps the cover in place which also seems to work well. Hopefully, that will last. It has a clip that stays in place on all garments.

This product is well worth the price if your goal is protection and quality.

Just received this via U.S.P.S and for once they were pretty darn fast with delivery. Open the package, a white bubble pack mailer envelope and found a very nice case. Surprised it had a magnetic invisible catch. Clip looks very well attached and strong. Phone fits in snuggly and I'm fairly certain it will loosen up with use. Still need to apply 'skins and hope it all slides together smoothly. I'll try and write an addendum to this after using it. For the price it's a sure thing.

Although I have a sleeve on my phone I wanted to have a way to carry it without having to have my purse with me, especially when exercising. The case is light and easy to access and also fits very well.

I received the case as promised. It works as promised. I feel the clip is very strong and should do well during my usage of the product.

I enjoy the magnetic lock as opposed to other snap type closures. Many reviews have stated that the case is not leather. I'm not an expert. It may not be leather, but it appears to be durable, which is all I really wanted!

This is a nice product. It is very attractive and would be very at home with the white collar guys (suits). A little too nice for rough folks like me, not for the bluejeans and T-shirt crowd. Although it would serve to protect your phone very well anyway. IMHO

Could not be any happier with this purchase!

Excellent case, fits husband's 4G HTC Inspire, and almost every day he tells me he LOVES this case! Very sturdy, high quality, Leather, and UNBELIEVABLE price! We searched through several stores - Sams, Walmart's, Best Buy, and online looking for a case to fit husband's Inspire 4G and nothing would fit. So glad we found this on Amazon.

Also, we ordered the OTTER protective case for his Inspire through their website - (they're in stock now, so get these while you can!)

We fully expect the phone to fit (with the thick protective case) as the leather pouch has an expandable side. I will post a follow-up as soon as the Otter case arrives to let you know.

I like wearing my phone on my belt so it is accessible.

The HTC Inspire is a big phone, but this leather holder carries it well. Clip slides over the belt and holds securely.

Dvi To Hdmi - cables, hdmi to dvi

You don't need to plunk down 80 or 90 dollars for one of those expensive cables with the fearsome name and equally fearsome price. DVI and HDMI are digital standards with error correction. What does that mean?

In the analog days(Composite, Svideo, etc), other signals could creep in and cause noise or quality loss in the picture. Better shielded (and sometimes more pricey) cables prevented this noise from creeping in to eliminate this noise. However, with HDTV's and digital signals that move over cables like HDMI and DVI, even the cheapest cable can work as well as the expensive brand.

Digital signals are composed of 1's and 0's, or more simply, an on signal or an off signal. Millions of these 1's and 0's can be sent per second and form your image. Since the signal is either on or off, it is easy to figure out at the other end what the data for the image is, and the receiver at the other end (your television or monitor) reconstructs this signal into a pixel perfect image of what was sent.

Because of this method of using 1's and 0's these lines are not as susceptible to noise, and thanks to error correction that is built in, any noise that does creep in is corrected. Even if noise did somehow creep in, it wouldn't affect the image at the other end.

Digital only fails in levels of high noise, where the error correcting code can't compensate, and when it fails, it fails completely. What does this mean? It means that if you have a picture on your screen and it is working, you have a pretty much perfect image. If there is too much noise, you'll notice that it doesn't work at all or very noticeable blocks appear, and the image jerks and stops before it quits working. This gives you peace of mind about your signal, because if you are seeing it and it's working, you know you have the best quality image signal available. This is why when viewing over the air signals in digital format with the new digital transition, there is no more snow in the image, every channel that you can get is clearer than analog cable TV.

The only time the image should get enough noise to fail is not with cables, but with over the air transmissions from broadcast air stations. When transmitting such short distances over a cable in your home, this cheap cable is as good as the most expensive and most fearsomely named brand cable. I am currently using this cable for my monitor and I can see perfect detail down to the tiniest pixel (The individual dots that make up the image). DVI to HDMI Cable 6ft Male-Male

I got my new HDMI-to-DVI cable and immediately connected it between my Toshiba up-converting DVD player and a Samsung 56" DLP TV. The picture is wonderful.

I don't see any point in spending more for a Monster cable when this one is available for a lower cost.

I have more than 20 years of experience as an electronics designer and manufactuing engineer. This cable would easily meet my quality standards.

I just purchased an HD projector for my classroom, only one problem. When I used my DVI to analog cable the projector would not display in high definition. The solution was to buy an DVI to HDMI cable. I found this one on Amazon for less than a $1, so I bought four. They have worked great, I even use them to display my laptop on my HD TV at home. The only thing to remember is that DVI does not carry sound so you still need a set of jacks or optical cable to carry the sound.

I took the old home theatre down in my living room because my wife was complaining of all the wires. So I wondered what I had to do to play movies directly off my computer. After a little research, I noticed my video card had a DVI output connection and my HDTV had an extra HDMI input. So I put 2 and 2 together and went to the store to look for a DVI to HDMI cable. All the stores wanted AT LEAST $30 dollars for one. I rejected that notion and decided to look online. Boy, was I surprised! I found this beauty for under $2 and bought it immediately. Attached DVI to computer and HDMI to HDTV, setup the video card to read the HDTV and, voila, I was able to watch movies. I get a better picture on the TV than on the computer monitor, but I still use the sound card sound from my computer, as I get better sound from that than from my TV speakers. Wonderful item!

Cheap and what else can you say? The cable works really does the job.

No static, interference no nothing.

Connected my PS3 to the computer monitor for full 1080p nirvana.

Now there's other brands out there that take ridiculous name premium over their products, but why pay more for a cable that does the same thing? Also, this cable works as a perfect 21st century flail, for awesome destructive power, against evil forces who attempt to take your sacred gaming experience away from you. Just swing away with this cable and the DVI head will destroy your foes with out any effort. No Shoryuken will penetrate its destructive swing. Now swing away. - Hdmi To Dvi - Dvi - Computer - Cables'

Hp Photosmart C6380 - hp photosmart, hp 564xl

Presently it is wise to contact the seller to be sure WHICH 564XL Black (not photo black) cartridge that he actually sells. The Amazon web pages for this product may show the wrong HP part number. I received the present replacement part in May 2011, a few months ago I got the earlier part.

This particular web page shows a picture of what is more likely the old 564XL Black ink cartridge - because the package seems to show "3X the pages" but has the data indicating the new 564XL Black ink cartridge part number - which package (the one I recently received) shows " NEW lower price, smaller size Up to 2X more pages".

The previous 564XL Black ink cartridge was thicker and as indicated on the package offered up to 3X the printing of the regular 564 Black ink cartridge. Its HP number was/is CB321WN#140 (option 140 on package). Cost about $30.

The replacement 564XL Black ink cartridge is now (one-half) about the thickness of the 564 color ink cartridges and indicates 2X the printing (550 pages) as the regular 564 Black ink cartridge. Its HP number is CN684WN#140 (option 140 on package). Cost about $22 - here and on the HP web site.

HP no longer indicates the actual amount of ink in the cartridges it sells nor apparently do the phone support people know. The HP part number is on the bottom of the package.

Ignoring any cost change contribution of cartridge parts such as plastic, electrical and packaging, you pay about 10 per cent more for the ink in the new replacement 564XL ink cartridge. Shipping cost differences affect the final cost and should be noted.

It is not uncommon for a business to increase the cost of a product in this way and remember that the cost increase may be simply because of the increased cost of production and materials.

I would have preferred HP to keep the larger cartridge and increase its cost - maybe future HP printers won't even allow larger cartridges, just one size, filled to different ink levels as already is done. If you dislike HP's action then write a letter to HP corporate - don't bother with the usual HP support - it's not a technical problem, it's a marketing-business decision. HP 564XL Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging (CN684WN#140)

And more expensive per page. OK - costs go up, but suddenly making it half the size (it seems about half the size). Instead of 800 or so pages you now get around 550 or so pages. But we probably won't get even 400 pages with this new cartridge.

They should call it something different. This product gets 1 out of five stars on the HP website! - Hp 564xl - Inkjet Printer Ink - Photosmart C6380 - Hp Photosmart'

Tv Wall Mount - articulating wall mount, lcd wall mount

I was a little apprehensive in buying this item on Amazon. I could only find one review on Amazon prior to my purchase. The main complaint of the review was regarding the distance between the wall studs and that fact that this distance was not being spelled out in the specs. However, the review did state that the HRM-100 was "....definitely sturdy." I couldn't agree more. The HRM-100 is sturdy as an ox. It is solid steel and built very well. I'm currently using it for a 32" HDTV. I plan to swap out my TV for a 47" and I have no concerns regarding the ability of the HRM-100 to support a larger TV. Most homes in the U.S. were built to spec with the studs that are 16 inches apart. So, this should be a non-issue for most buyers. After bolting the HRM-100 to the wall with four huge bolts, I was ready to watch TV. The install was great and directions were sufficient. I recommend this to anyone. I couldn't believe the price on Amazon compared to other articulating mounts. The HRM-100 was approx 1/2 to 1/3 the price of other options. But a lower price definitely did not mean lower quality. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Hercules(by Opteka) HRM-100 Super Strong Plasma and LCD TV Dual-Arm Articulating Wall Mount for 32-Inch to 60-Inch Displays (Black)

THE GOOD - The mount itself I rate as a 5 and highly recommend. Like the other reviews, I agree it is a great value, solid (built like a tank), high quality, and relatively easy to install (with good hardware-see below). Mounted a 50" plasma that weighs ~80 lbs. I cannot detect a degree of sag when the TV is turned and extended from the wall.

THE BAD - I rate the hardware that comes with the mount at a 1. There is no excuse for hardware this cheap. Like a couple of other reviews, I drilled the proper 3/16" size hole in the stud to mount the lag screw. With a 1/4" rachet drive, and moderate pressure, I twisted the head of the lag screw right off 3/4 of the way in. This presents a major problem, because I measured very carefully, ensuring that the unit was centered on the wall, level, etc. With the broken shank of the lag bolt embedded in the wall, there is no way to get it out, and the hole becomes unusable. Therefore, I needed to drill 4 new holes just higher, get better lag bolts and start again. Annoying and time consuming!

THE UGLY- One of the allen screws that anchors the TV hanger clips was so bent that it would not screw in without striping the threads. Hardware is cheap, unrated junk. Too bad, I would gladly pay an extra $1 for better hardware.

SOLUTION - If planning to install this TV mount in wood studs, before the mount arrives, go to the hardware store and purchase (4) 5/16" X 3" zinc plated lag screws. Anything at the hardware store in the US will be better than what comes with the mount. Most good bolts should have numbers and markings on the head, indicating strength/use. This hardware has none.

Drill a 3/16 hole (going from memory - whatever diameter is in the installation instructions) at least 3" into the wall. With the thickness of the drywall/plaster (typically 1/2" - 3/4") you will end up with a ~2 1/2" deep hole in the stud. A trick my father taught me - get a dry bar of soap and drag the lag screws across the soap bar, getting "shreads" of soap on the threads. This will make it easier to turn the lag screw and reduce the chances of the lag bolt breaking. Don't forget to use the washers on the end of the lag screws, and the cheapies that come with the mount should be fine.

Hopefully you will not also have a bent allen screw, otherwise that will be a separate trip to the store. Good luck!

Hello I bought this product about 1 week ago. I have a 47" TV and i was a little worried about the weight of my tv. Let me say this, After i mounted the mount to the wall hiting two studs. I hung from it. I weigh 215lbs.. And the mount didnt budge. This is a great product. My dad has a omin mount and says that this mount looks better, and you can run the wires alot easier wth this rather than the omni mount. This is a great pruduct. And i would like to hank the other reviews, because thats what sold this item. Im getting a 55" for my back room. No doubt that this mount will do the job. Thank You very much. Sgt James Heinold

I bought this product for my 40" Samsung Series 5 LCD. Because I was planning to upgrade it in the future to a 52", I went with the larger size. (And the HRM-100 is definitely sturdy.) However, my apartment already has pre-installed TV mount screws at 24" apart--a stud distance that is not that uncommon. BUT, the Hercules HRM-100 mount only supports a narrow range of 11.75"-18.00". I would not be upset *had they put this info in the product description*. But they did not, and now I am paying $20 to send it back. My $0.02: go with a product that has better explanation in the product description... or know for sure that you have 16" studs in your walls. - Lcd Wall Mount - Wall Mount - Articulating Wall Mount - Flat Panel Mounts'

Olympus Digital Camera - waterproof digital camera, digital camera

I am surprised by some of the negative reviews of this camera. I have a suggestion to those reviewers: READ THE MANUAL! One common complaint - slow start-up time - can be easily fixed by following directions in the manual: Turn "PW on Start-up" to off, this will keep the camera from loading the logo and the camera is immediately ready for use. Another common complaint is the time it takes in order to shoot the next picture. Some people incorrectly refer to this is "excessive shutter lag." This is not the case: The default setting for this camera is to display the photo just taken for about four seconds after pressing the shutter button so the user can view the image. This is a handy feature I appreciate, but if I am taking fast moving action shots, this feature can be turned off in Shooting menu 2, "REC VIEW." Once performed in accordance with the manual, photos can be taken immediately after one another. All of my photos taken with the 6020 are perfect, unless I do something wrong. I am amazed by the number of people who do not comprehend the basic concept of digital focusing: Press the shutter button halfway to focus the subject (focus box turns green to confirm proper focus,) compose your shot while continuing to hold the focus halfway, then complete the photo taking process by pressing the button fully. Read the directions and anyone who buys this great little camera will love it and have great success with sharp, clean, well colored photos! By the way, I have successfully used the 6020 in my community pool for testing underwater and I am looking forward to my upcoming vacation to Aruba this month. Olympus Stylus Tough 6020 14MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Zoom and 2.7 inch LCD (Black)

I have had the camera for a few days now and really put it through the paces. It is by far one of the best little point and clicks that I have had and I have had at least 5 in the past 5 years. It's built well and has a exceptional battery life (275 picks per charge on average with 14 meg pictures) and the recharge is fairly quick. I added a 16gig memory card for the video recording aspect and I love it. I can record 5 hours and 50 mins of 720p on the thing which is way nicer than the Flip that I was looking at. I used to get an occasional blurry shot with my other cameras from them not focusing well on moving objects (kids) but with this one I haven't had a bad shot yet on the kids running in the yard. It truly is amazing.

All in all it's a great little camera for the price.

And don't let the other guy scare you off from this camera. He more than likely put the card in before he hooked the camera up to his computer. By the way, make sure you hook the camera up to your computer BEFORE you put your memory card in. But if you screw up and put it in first all you have to do is clear out your pictures, eject the card and then plug it up to the computer for a fresh install.

So let me start with the positive. The HD video is excellent. It's as good or better than my Panasonic HD camcorder puts out. Now if I was only using it for video, that would give it 5 stars. But we take pictures with it as well, right? So there in lies the problem. The picture quality is average at best. I took 30 pictures at my 3 year old's birthday party (at a water park) and I had to edit every single one when I downloaded them to my computer. Colors were washed out by the aggressive flash on any close-up pics. Far away pictures looked soft and lacked any detail. Now granted this water park was indoors but it was fairly well lit so that's not an acceptable excuse. I also saw the same issue with poor focusing on anyone/anything moving.

Pros:

Superior HD Video (Why video is so crisp and accurate on colors amazes me when the pics are so average)

Rugged Design and feel

Cons:

Picture quality leaves a lot be desired. Olympus should've done much better

Needing to hook up to a PC to "initialize" the camera

Slow, slow, slow (from boot-up to picture taking. Just takes too long for someone with kids)

I already had a Sony DSC-TX5 on order (from Amazon) when I got this one for Father's Day. Although the Sony is $100 more, it's worth it to me to have crisp and accurate photos out straight from the camera. I believe I will have to keep the Sony and return this Olympus. We want to be able to have a portable camera that we can rely on for everyday activities as well as the beach and pool events. And this Stylus Tough just isn't up for the task.

One small update: I found out that you can cut down on the start-up time by turning the "PW" setting to OFF. You can find it under the menu settings. Cuts start-up time down to about 3 seconds or so. You can also cut down your picture to picture time by eliminating the picture review. Still doesn't help the picture quality however. I haven't found a fix for that. :(

I just bought this camera at best buy in Miami on vacation. I took it to the beach multiple times, went snorkeling for a couple of hours, and use it for everyday shots. The pictures are crystal clear. The 720p HD video looks awesome, especially on your HD tv. No issues with this camera. No problems with hooking it up to the computer. Just plug it in and there it is. Charges fast. Takes a sd card for extra memory. I don't know what happened with these others peoples' cameras. Probably user error. Don't let the 1 star reviews scare you away.

All in all, great camera. Battery life was long. Took a ton pix at highest resolution, video, and editing on the camera, and it lasted all day. About the same size as my regular didital camera. Nice features. Best buy has it on sale for 269. Go for it - Olympus Stylus - Digital Camera - Waterproof Digital Camera - Olympus Digital Camera'

Espresso Accessories - esspresso accesories, tamper

I have a DeLonghi EC155 and the smaller size fits very nicely for tamping. It is able to hold over 50 lbs of pressure with no problem. I used the tamping method from Good Eats, where you put 50lbs of pressure, then twist.

I have looked everywhere for a tamper that would fit Saeco Aroma for a sensible price, but 53mm tampers were either too expensive or just unavailable. Although this one doesn't fit properly, the small end of it covers about 90% of the basket. Overall, I'm happy with it. It's a temporary solution. Tamper brand or construction is not a huge variable in the resulting quality of an espresso shot. You might at well use something out of the hardware store as long as it tamps the loose grounds well enough. This is why I am skeptical of tampers that cost 50-100 dollars. If RSVP Terry tamper fits your basket's proportions you should consider it.

This product is not a heavy item, but it works very well. The flat design makes it easy to tamp down coffee. It is not dishwasher safe. If you put it in the dishwasher it will come out looking like tarnished and dull aluminum. I speak from experience here. It still works great, but I don't like things I have to hand wash when I have a machine that will do it for me!

Yes, 1 star! I would go less if I could. While yes, this could be a step up from the cheapo plastic tamps that arrive with your machine, it is a very small step, and in some cases a step backwards. I invite you to consider saving up a little longer and getting a better tamper. The "Rosewood" brand tampers are a knockoff of the industry standard Reg Barber, and are just over $20 here on Amazon. They are proof that you don't need to spend $70 if you are a home user that is not pulling hundreds of shots a day.

You really do need a tamper that is sized to properly fit your porta-filter, or your pulls WILL suffer. Measure the inside of the filter and buy accordingly. The pressurized water will go the path of least resistance, and if you tamper is too small, you will over extract the outside edge and under extract the middle. The result is a shot with little to no body and bitter. Did I mention bitter? A good tamper makes a HUGE difference.

Being flat on both ends makes this tamper very hard to use correctly. Getting a level tamp is very difficult.

Do yourself and your espresso a big favor and just walk away from this item. Search online for videos on how to properly tamp, and you will quickly see why this tamper is not a good choice, and learning all you can about the process will only improve your shots.

how can you rate a tamper? well, it fits in the basket and it tamps down the coffee. I guess Terry's tamper does just that. It was a great price, I mean come on, who's the numbskull who would pay $20 for an item to tamp his grounds?

I was impressed by the fast shipping and great customer service.

It's rare that a small purchase ($8.00) can make such a big difference. I'm new to the espresso experience and I was using the art-deco plastic girder-looking tamper that came with the Airette unit. After reading the reviews below I bought Terry's Tamper and I couldn't believe what a difference it made. It's a handy size and it allowed me to exert a greater pressure while tamping the grind and the result was a better cup of espresso. I seem to get a better extraction from a tighter tamp therefore greater taste and value from my coffee. What more can one ask?

I have a Gaggia Classic espresso machine. The 55mm plastic tamper that came with the machine broke after a while. This one-piece cast aluminium Terry Tamp temper is a perfect replacement for the original. It is easy to hold, easy to use. No reason to spend $20-$100 on fancy tampers that may be inferior in quality to this.

works great. unfortunately my saeco aroma portafilter is a smidgeon too small for the large end, and the small end leaves a gap on the edge, but it doesn't seem to matter.

don't know how i lived w/o it. the espresso is so much more intense when its heavily tamped.

So far so good...with the smaller diameter side it's a close fit to the breville die cast porta filter. Still, a tiny gap remains and it does not tamp the edges without a smoothing action. As a tamper...well it works for me and the price is excellent. Simple yet handy design. Shipped and arrived quickly. - Espresso - Expresso - Tamper - Espresso Accessories - Esspresso Accesories - Coffee'

Carrying Case For Garmin Nuvi - gps carrying case, garmin case

I ordered this case for my Garmin and other accessories. I was truly suprised by the quality. The case is 12 inches long by 8 inches wide (I measured). It is a little larger than expected, but I am glad because all of the stuff that goes with my GPS fits just fine. It's nice to have extra room. It is made of some kind of reinforced nylon material. The description says it is a "hard case". Most think of a metal or plastic reinforced case like you would put musical instruments in. This IS NOT that type of case. It does have some give to it. If you were to push hard enough on it you can dent it and it will pop back out again. I think it can take a good beating before anything inside gets damaged. I just wanted a durable cash to put my GPS and other stuff in while I travel. This case does the trick. It's small enough to fit inside a carry-on bag or a back pack. The three small pouches you see in the photo have velcro on the back so they stick inside the case without falling out. The pocket also has velco and by pushing on the mesh pocket it "seals" to the grey velvet-liek lining for a secure fit. My GPS, all of the accessories, a camera, and a few other do-dads fit inside just fine. I like it because it has that "grab and go" type feel to it without feeling clunky or annoying to carry around. It has a durable zipper to close the case and it also comes with a handy wrist strap you can attch outside (maybe hook on another bag or over your carry-on? I haven't put it on though because I just carry it and put it in my car (fits easily under the seat or in the glove box) or pack it away. I give this product five stars, plus I think it is very well priced. I have seen similar products priced twice as much and passed them up. Yup, I'm cheap, but this product isn't. Give it a try. If you don't use it for GPS you can at least use it for a small camera, cell phones, or travel kits. Premium Hard Shell Travel Case for Select Garmin Nuvi GPS Navigators - to hold unit, adapters, memory cards and other accessories

I originally purchased a differant GPS charger & case combo from Accessory Genie. When it arrived I noticed that all of the items that came with my Gramin Nuvi 760 would not fit in the case. As a result I left a low review rating. Shortly thereafter I received a call from Alexander Rocha a customer Service Rep with Accessory Genie. He wanted to know what they could do to make me happy. He advised me that they have a larger GPS XL case and would be happy to email me a postage paid return label to send my original purchase back to them. Upon receiving my return they would send the new larger case prepaid. I received the new XL case and it is perfect. Everything fits in the case with room to spare, even two separate dash mounts. Although the case is not a true "Hard Shell Case" it is stiff enough to offer good protection. Accessory Genie went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Way to go Alexander. Thank you!

Don't be fooled. This case is NOT a hard shell as stated. At best it is reinforced nylon. It is easily crushed and at it's most "rigid" points I can easily compress the case with my thumb and index finger! The interior design is adequate for the purpose however the pictures show three interior cases which, indeed are there, each with a velcro attachment but there is only room for the two larger cases. The third smaller case is left to float freely! The case is a nice concept but that concept has not yet reached fruition! I was expecting a hard case and did not get that. If you are indeed looking for a hard case - keep looking...

The case contains my Garmin 1490T and all the accessories. The velcro "mini" bags on the inside let me compartmentalize my cables, suction cups and brackets for the windshield. The mesh divider also allows for several pages of the manual to be folded and carried with the GPS.

Very good hard shell case. Had just enough room to hold all of my gps gadgets which included the gps in its' own case, the owners manual, the windshield mount, three different power and battery charging cords and a couple of spare parts. It's getting full, but whenever I hit the highway, I grab the hard case and I'm off, knowing that nothing got left behind or in another vehicle.

The sturdiness of this case is just right, not to hard & not to soft. My husband an OTR driver uses it to house his GPS unit and cords. He uses the GPS in both his personal and work vehicle (tractor trailer) and the travel case to store & carry it to and from work and both vehicles each week. The only thing his wishes it had was a longer strap in addition to the carring handle. Since his hands are normally full when he's transferring his belongings from one vehicle to another.

Great little "big" bag for my Garmin - it fits everything in 1 place. Only thing - is it would be nice to have a handle. Right now it has a camera-like string.

Would recommend it to others who want a one-stop place for all their accessories.

The shell was actually harder than I expected. What I didn't expect was all of the velcro. The pouches are attached with velcro on the back, and the netting has a velcro divider. It will not fit under my car seat. I can fit it in my glove compartment if I take a few things out. I use it for my garmin 3750, which had kind of an iphone screen that reviews said was sensitive. The gps is already in a smaller case by itself, but I was looking for a bigger case for charger and all. It can all fit in the netting. I leave the pouches in for extra cushioning. I gave it four stars because it is a hard shell, and it fits everything I need it to which is why I bought it. - Garmin Nuvi Case - Case - Gps Carrying Case - Garmin Case'

Carrying Case For Garmin Nuvi - gps carrying case, garmin case garmin case Carrying Case For Garmin Nuvi - gps carrying case, garmin case

Ipad 2 Cases - ipad 2 cases

1) In the interest of full disclosure, I was asked to write this review by the seller. I was going to anyway, but the small incentive they offered made me take it off the "do next week" list.

2) I was one of the first to get an iPad 2. Not only am I obsessed with electronic anything - I even bought a wi-fi enabled coffee maker - I own a small IT business. It's my job. My clients expect to see the newest everything - from handhelds to phones to laptops. I was also one of the first to get an iPad 1. After I got the original iPad, I tried out 6 different cases, ranging from $10 el cheapo cases on eBay to $80 cases from Amazon, before I found "the one." The one I loved was the iPad 1 version of this case. After the iPad 2 case came out, I was on pins and needles waiting for this one to be released. I did try two other cases - one silicon and one leather - and they were horrible, so bad they aren't worth mentioning in comparison.

3) Even though I am a conspicuous consumer and early adopter, I prefer a modest profile. This case fits that need perfectly. The case is slim, with soft but tough leather on the outside and soft lining. It is NOT thick and makes the iPad about a thick as two bound magazines or a very thin book. It feels perfect and adds no heft to it.

4) The pebbled outer layer prevents most finger smudges, and the rigid clip-closing makes sure the case keeps a svelte, even profile. No buckles or ripples or anything. It sits flat on a desktop, and feels perfectly balanced in your hand.

5) The "trap" corner design of the grip is great - you see the iPad in it's full beautiful industrial design glory. It is not hiding behind a frame of jagged leather, or held cockeyed.

6) It bends to nearly every conceivable position you need the iPad in. True, it does not give multiple viewing holds & angles from the upright/portrait position, but then in my use the iPad is only in that position when I am reading, and I am holding it when I am. for video viewing or typing, it is in landscape mode and I can use any of the 5 positions this case lets you set up in seconds to do it.

7) The iPad removes more easily from this case than any other. So if you have other docks, displays or anything, there is no fumbling around with it.

8) I got a GREAT price on this, but even at full list price this case is undervalued. This case is the best money I spent on a computer equipment other than the iPad itself.

9) I not only recommend this to my clients, but even to strangers in an elevator. Just get it. You will not regret it. Acase iPad 2 High Quality Premium Slim Leather Case Folio with built-in Stand for Apple iPad 2 2nd Generation - 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, WiFi and WiFi +3G (Black)

I've had this case for just a few days (I'm on my 3rd day of use actually) and I fully satisfied with it.

Before going for it I reviewed several other options and now I'm convinced that I made the right choice (I must admit that I hadn't purchased an Acase item before and I wasn't sure, but by the 2nd day I became an instant fan).

I was surprised of the fit, it was just perfect (I'm using an anti-glare cover but had no issue getting my iPad2 right in place). I guess that if you're constantly inserting and extracting the iPad2 from this case the "hold" may eventually degrade, but I purchased it with the intention of not taking it out frequently.

ALL controls and ports are easily accessible and there's no need to remove it.

One detail I wasn't really enthusiastic when I made the purchase was the color of the microfiber interior (green), I thought I would've preferred it to be dark gray, but I it was a nice surprise to see that I actually like the tone a lot.

There's other review that mentions that the best typing position isn't shown in the pictures (I'll try to post a couple of pictures to show it), but all you need to do it to bring the iPad all the way to the front -not using the grooves, but the "clip" that secures the case when closed.

I totally agree with that reviewer that this provides a comfortable angle for typing and (I really like this!) keeps the microfiber interior away from the surface you're placing it on (desk, table, etc.) so it stays clean and that eventually will help protect the screen. Right now there's a picture showing a typing position with a similar angle but it exposes the microfiber interior to whatever is on the surface your placing it (dust or other stuff) -the Apple cover for the iPad1 had the same flaw- I prefer the other option and keep the microfiber interior clean.

The leather isn't shiny and I like it's matte finish.

One little detail is that when I first unpacked the case, it had a not-so-nice odor, but after 3 days it has diminished a lot and I guess in a couple of days more it will have disappeared.

I'll update the review if the odor persists and after I post the pictures. - Ipad 2 Cases'
