Wrist Wrap Gloves - lifting gloves, weight lifting

Been using the gloves for a few weeks at cross fit and they are working fine so far. They have not separated at seams like others complained of. They are also very comfortable and because of the multiple closures, they can be adjusted to your exact preferences. I highly recommend them. Lining your books is an art. If you've never done it before, find a book you don't care much about and experiment. After about the third book, you'll get it right.

This material is excellent but not as stiff as I've seen in the past; I am referring to other vendors. It is suple but will harden after a year so it is best to line your books at one time, say six or seven at a time. Throw this material away after a year or so because it gets stiff and brittle. It will also be hard to remove the covering material.

The best way to use this product is described below:

Tools: sissors, exacto knife or small 1- 1-1/2" pen knife.

Take the book and open it to make a rough cut of the material. You will to leave about 1-1/2" below and above for the flaps. Leave material for tieing down

the flaps. For large books lay the book out length-wise with the roll itself rather than parallel to the roll. Mark the future cuts with a permanent pen.

Ideally, if there is time, cut these strips and put books over them to flatten them so they won't curl while lining the book. Flattening takes about a day.

Use the sissors to cut the book liner. Leave 1-1/2" above and below the book dimensions.

To start lining the book, cut a triangular edge out of one of the corners. Cut deep enough to part the cover from the lining.

Pull the cover free but slowly and smoothly. You want to roll slowly to allow the adhesive between the cover and the lining to separate.

Now, pull the cover and liner apart and place the front of the book in the way you lined it up when you made a rough cut. Leave 1-1/2" above and below the book edges. Line the edge of the book first, then slowly roll the lining in place until it gets to the trench in front of the backing. Then, slowly pinch the lining into this trench. Use your fingers here but also use the outside palm of your hand as a squeggee (outside palm is opposite of the thumb). Now, roll the lining over the back. All the time push the bubbles towards the spot where the book meets the lining forcing the bubbles out. With the back done roll through the trench, pinch it in, then continue to the edge of the back cover.

With sissors cut the liner, careful not to catch the adhesive and wind up caught in your own web. Cut a rectangle around the book with enough room for the flaps.

Cut diagonal flaps for each of the edges: 4. Cut vertical cuts at the book binding, to let the liner breath; without this you run the risk of breaking the back of the book when the liner is attached. Fold the flap inward attaching them to the inside of the book. Take care to leave enough liner to hold the lining securely without using up all of the inside of the books. Cut strips to make vertical seals for the edges of the flaps: at least 2 each per diagonal flap. Seal any edges that look loose with additional cut strips.

Lastly, trim the book binding at the back of the book. Push inward to seal. Push any bubbles out.

Open and close the book to make sure the book binding can breath. If not, consider cutting the liner near one of the binding ridges.

I attempted to use this for hardcover textbooks with thick front and back covers.

The product adhered great to the flat surfaces of the front/back covers, but when I tucked the extra 1.5" around the edge onto the inside of the cover, these "flaps" wouldn't stay put -- it wasn't adhesive enough. I've never had this problem with other brands of contact paper. I had to resort to tape to secure these inside flaps; the other option would have been to trim the flaps altogether, but I like to protect the bottom and side edges of the book, as that's where most damage occurs.

My bottom line opinion: This product works great when it stays flat (e.g. laminating stuff), but don't rely on it for any applications where you need to bend, fold, wrap, or tuck a small edge or flap: the contact paper since it isn't sticky enough to hold its own. I'll be getting a different brand for future textbook-covering endeavors.

I covered 3 thick cookbooks and 1 paperback cookbook and have enough left for 1 more book. This product was fairly easy to apply and remove for repositioning. The instructions aren't very helpful where covering a book is concerned and on the first attempt, I had to remove and reposition the adhesive several times, but it became easier after that. When applying to books with dust jackets, I put a rolled piece of tape under the inside flaps to keep the dust jacket from moving around. Though not perfectly applied (with some bubbles here and there), I'm very happy with the results. I wanted something to protect the books and this adhesive works just fine.

Moshe Feldenkrais - rehabilitation, health

The first time I read this book, it was such a daunting task I put down and saved it for a time when my intelligence was ready to 'understand' the instructions. If you're the equivilent of a college freshman in the science of movement this book will probably be something you want to save for a more advanced place in your progression. Or read it and get what you can...planning to come back to it over and over. If I hadn't seen and tried the method via videotapes and then in an actual seminar I probably wouldn't have given the book a chance at all. That choice, however, would have been a huge mistake. This book offers a series of "lessons" that take the human body through movements most children could do easily but had been pushed out of my movement repertoire. These are also movements most people, including my extremely strong and lean 30 year old daughter(who's a personal trainer I might add), cannot do with ease. The movement patterns provided in the book help me rollerblade without fear (well, a reasonable level of fear!) and increase the likelihood that I'll still be able to chase men when I'm old enough to know better but still too young--what's 95 anyway?-- to care. On a more serious side these strengths will be absolutely crucial if we want to be able to get into a shower or go to the restroom alone when we get older. I've been a runner and fitness specialist for a LONG time and have worked from just about every angle in the fitness field that exists, from aerobic instruction to power lifting to yoga and the Awareness Through Movement theory was alien to anything I'd learned in the traditional "western" pursuit of fitness. Instruction like this was not in any of my personal training courses. Though certified in anatomy and strength training for several years, this just didn't even appear on my fitness 'radar'. I wasn't used to working that hard for information. I wanted cut and dried instructions with pictures to boot. It was normal to use traditional exercise methods because they aren't very complex, are easy to teach and mistakes are fairly easy to see and correct. Books that instruct bench presses, abdominal crunches, and squats also are easy to read and follow; unfortunately they miss the subtlties necessary to truly powerful human movement. No good athlete depends on exercises like those alone. That's where this book has helped. It has required some intense think and move sessions but all these movement lessons yield surprising results if you have the patience to stick with them. One note: you must have the patience of a baby learning to walk.I read Feldenkrais' other books which actually gave Awareness Through Movement context and made it easier with which to work . Feldenkrais was a judo master as well as one of the earliest developers of cybernetic science and all of this shows in his book but it also means the book isn't light reading. Learning to do the method from written text will be as difficult as learning the basics of one of the martial arts. I agree that the photos of wooden models are difficult to use, front and back are almost impossible to discern (I did some creative artwork..noses, ears, etc. once I figured out where they needed to be) and might make it difficult to understand the movement clearly. There is also no index or reference table which is a little frustrating at times.Despite these drawbacks I wouldn't give the book to a family member unless I knew a replacement would be easy to find! Awareness Through Movement: Easy-to-Do Health Exercises to Improve Your Posture, Vision, Imagination, and Personal Awareness

Feldenkrais was one of the century's great geniuses. Originally recognized for his nuclear physics research and for his introduction of Judo to Europe in the 30s, he developed the gentle Feldenkrais Method during the second World War in respose to his own knee problems. In Awareness Through Movement, Feldenkrais gives you a wonderful introduction to the group part of his method--Awareness Through Movement. The processes are gentle, painless and easy. The best way to use the exercises in this book is to get yourself a cassette player and to then read the instructions aloud into the cassette. Then rewind the cassette, lie down on your back, hit play and be amazed as that magnificent voice on the cassette recording shows your body how to improve more quickly than you've ever believed possible.

Moshe Feldenkrais, renaissance man, scientist, educator, wrote this book regretably in a manner more suitable for his science students. However, to be able to profit the most from these 10 fundamental Awareness Through Movement lessons is to read them out loud and transfer them to an audio-tape while your favourite relaxing music is playing in the background. Then follow these instructions - in your own voice - while being gentle with your body. Be ready to switch off your recorder after each part of an exercise and relax for 18 breaths (= 1 minute)-- or better take consideration of this fact when originally dictating the lessons to your recorder. Permit yourself to fall asleep if you feel you need to do so. Remember that your neurological system needs to be trained to accept these deeply regenerative movements and it may take some time until you feel comfortable moving in a slow and fluid manner. Gábor, Feldenkrais Movement Educator.

i have been interested in learning about the feldenkrais method for some time. after seeing all the five star reviews for this book i thought that it would be a great introduction to the method. boy was i wrong. this is NOT a book for people who have very little or no knowledge of the feldenkrais method. i found it to be complex, technical, wordy, and in many cases more complicated than it needed to be. there are almost no pictures accompaning the text, and the few pictures that exist are of wooden manequins. don't be fooled by the glowing reviews written by people are who are practicioners of the method. if you are like me and just want a book to introduce you to the concepts then this is not the book. - Health - Posture - Rehabilitation - Moshe Feldenkrais'

We needed a Yo Yo that could take an eight year old from beginning to mid level practice without breaking and this model worked very well. We had read reviewers on Amazon and how they preferred Yomega's model over the Duncan brand and we now understand why. The Yomega Brain model is a very good model for serious beginners. We are happy with this model and can recommend it to others.

Pros- Smooth, well balanced, extra string.

Cons- Bubble pack, no choice of colors. Yomega Brain Yo-Yo (Colors May Vary)

Really cool Yo-Yo! I remember when they first came out with these. It takes me back. It's a toy, but it really does have educational value, I'm sure you could make a physics or science lesson there somewhere! :)

Remember how hard it was to do yo-yo tricks back in the 1970's? Sure, you could get the yo-yo to go up and down, but what you really wanted to do was "walk the dog" and swing a "cat's cradle," right? The big problem was getting the thing to "sleep." And of course, only a handful of yo-yo gods on TV could get the thing to "sleep" long enough to do all of the cool tricks. Well, the Yomega Brain Yo-Yo has solved the problem! It's ingenious centrifugal clutch allows the yo-yo to "sleep" every time and ten minutes after we opened it up, my dog was walking and my cat was cradling. Thirty years of pent-up yo-yo frustration resolved in ten minutes with my son's Christmas present. Priceless!!!

This yoyo is good for beginners, like myself. There is a way so that it will sleep and come back on its own. I did that and now i have a cool yoyo i can play with and learn tricks. Even though this yoyo sounds great and all but it doesnt sleep for a long time before coming back up (Once you set it). After a few weeks or so my string broke from playing with it a lot so i would get some extra strings. It is plastic with color in the middle and the rim is clear. Over all i think this is a good yoyo for beginners. Hope this comment helped! :D

I bought this for my youngest sister's 10th birthday. She got this cheap plastic yo-yo party favor and it wasn't doing her any good. She still liked it, but it was hard for her to learn how to play with it (like having the yo-yo return).

This yo-yo was perfect! It had great balance. Before I cut the string to adjust it to her size, everyone in our big family wanted to try it. It kept hitting the floor since the string was still long, causing the yo-yo to come apart. I was hoping I didn't get sent a defective toy. I realized after it was my turn that it only came apart after hitting the floor a few times. (I know I know, DUH.) I cut the string to fit her height, and now she's so in love with her new yo-yo. :)

I knew nothing about yo-yos, and within an hour of messing around with this yo-yo I was doing some pretty sweet tricks. The built-in clutch allows for some really cool action, and sometimes I can even surprise myself with the tricks I can do. If you have a kid that wants to learn the yo-yo, then this seems like a great place to start.'

These two frames are perfect for my baby girl's bedding! I ordered bedding also off amazon that has a damask print and bright vibrant colors also. They are pretty heavy and since I can't nail into my walls I had to buy some heavy duty double sided tape to hold them up, and also got some little hooks to hang the strings on. It all turned out pretty good! If you like sticking to the theme of your nursery or room I would definitely buy these frames! Trend Lab Versailles Black and White 2 Piece Frame Set

I love that these picture frames match the crib bedding we bought PLUS when our son gets older they will blend easily with the decor in our other rooms because they are not overly kid-oriented. For some reason I thought they would be constructed of fabric so I was surprised to see that they are made of wood- which actually makes them very sturdy.'

Digital Recorders - digital recorders, digital voice recorders

I bought this specificaly to record individual conversations in a relatively noisy environment -- e.g. coffee shop, restaurant, with several people involved in the conversation. It worked very well for me by moving the device in front of the person talking -- in some cases the individual would pick it up and this of course worked even better. All in all, I am very pleased with the performance. I was able to produce a verbatum transcript at nearly 100% accuracy for all of the conversation I recorded over a 4 day period of time. I didn't test recording any musical performances.

With regard to construction and overall operation, I found it extremely easy to operate and to seamlessly download to my pc using the built in usb connector. I was able to playback all of the conversations directly on my computer and start and stop and replay at will to produce an accurate transcript. (You can of course play back directly from the device but I wanted to store it on my computer anyway).

The unit is very small, smaller than my LG Chocolate mobile phone, and is easy to carry around and use. I give it a 5 star rating for my purposes. Sony ICD-UX200 Digital Voice Recorder with Built-In Stereo Microphone (Silver)

I searched around many places for a recorder to record lectures in class. I am so glad that I bought this recorder. I normally put the recorder up front, by the professor's desk, so the sound quality is great and the volume goes up pretty high when replaying the files. I love the fact that I can transfer files straight to my computer and that it is mac compatible without having to download additional software. It's a nice looking, compact recorder and, personally, I think it is a great buy.

I bought this for my nursing lectures, as there was just too much information to write down for my tastes! This little recorder works great!

STORAGE: Even on the best quality setting, I was able to record at least a week's worth of lectures around 2 hours each.

BATTERY LIFE: The battery life is really great too, I only charge it maybe once a week. If you have a laptop, you can charge it in class with the USB port.

FORMAT: The recordings are in mp3 format already, so you don't have to worry about converting it for other purposes.

Be careful which setting you choose.. out of the box it is set for the highest quality and you can easily have huge file sizes over 100MB. I recently set my quality a little lower and it still sounds just fine for my purposes.

I sit in a large lecture hall that seats over 100 students. I am usually in the middle rows, and the instructors use a portable microphone to speak. It picks up their information just fine, although it is a little soft if they aren't using their microphone. You could easily ask to place it up near the front and it'd probably fix that problem.

I can upload the files to my computer to put on a CD or pop in my earbuds and listen to the lectures straight from the device! (This is GREAT for studying the book while replaying lecture notes to follow along with)

There's a pause feature for breaks without having to create a new file, and 10 folders so you can organize your files without having to replay each one trying to figure out which class it was. (I usually write the file name on my notes so I know which lecture is which)

Overall this was a great choice and invaluable for my classes!

I recently bought this device to record lectures in my medical classes. I was expecting a completely average quality device, even given the price, due to past experiences with these types of devices. What I got was far in excess of my expectations.

First of all, this unit is quite small and lightweight. It's about the size of a small candy bar, maybe 3/4 the size of a standard snickers bar or something, but thinner. It's build quality is slightly above average, but I would suggest you not expose it to any sort of trauma or it seems like it'd break pretty easily. The buttons are all sturdy enough though, and the screen has a back light, which is nice for accessing the device in those dimly lit lecture halls/auditoriums.

Now, the really important thing, and the main reason I am so happy with my purchase: the recording quality of this device is nothing short of superb. It's so good, that even if you scale it down to a lower setting to allow for more record time, the quality is still excellent. This unit has two microphones built into it that record audio in crisp high quality stereo sound. I was recording a lecture recently and was sitting in the rear of the room with this device on the table in front of me and was still able to record the professor's lecture as though I was sitting right in front of him. The device has some features that I believe aided in this as they are able to remove a little bit of the noise within the room that was outside of the normal vocal range, which cut down on some of the shuffling students tend to do as they take notes, etc. It's not a research quality sound, but for the sub $100 price tag, it's a very, very nice high quality sound you will get with this device.

The device includes a set of Sony headphones in the event that you'd like to monitor the recording as you're taking notes and/or review a lecture while reviewing notes at home, on the bus, in the library, etc. Of course, you can use any set of headphones though, and I'd recommend something a bit better than the ones included as they're a bit uncomfortable - but they're small and fit nicely in a backpack, so they're not a bad option in a pinch or as a backup.

The device also comes with many of the features you find on similar devices from other manufacturers (and some you don't), such as looped playback, equalizer options, an alarm, many different menu options, etc. As a college student I really appreciate that I can use this device as a USB thumbdrive (it's got it's USB plug built right in, but comes with a corded dongle in case you cannot attach it directly to a PC), it's also capable of replaying any music you download to it as it has a headphone port, you can also attach an external mic to the device (sony makes a few really nice ones), and it also records great audio, of course. So in my opinion it's really a multifunctional device that definitely belongs in the book bag of every college student.

If you're in the market for a high quality voice recorder, especially one that does well in a lecture situation, you owe it to yourself to seriously consider this little unit. - Digital Recorder - Mac Compatible - Digital Recorders - Digital Voice Recorders'

Assasins Creed - kickass games, ubisoft

I was a little skeptical this game would live up to the hype. Then some diminished reviews came around and I was already feeling a let down. Where could they go wrong? Was my thoughts. Well that didn't stop me from purchasing this game. After 30 minutes I was blown away. All skepticism was gone and I was in Gamer Heaven.

Let me start off from the beginning. Yes there is a plot twist and it's pretty bizarre. Just think that your watching a Michael Crichton movie and it will make sense. Playing in the Middle East several hundred years ago is a different idea. It's hard to say what you could expect with this concept.

So what makes this game amazing. Lets start off with the landscape. It's brilliant and beautiful...Really majestic. You don't understand the scope of this game until you start playing. The world is surrounded by several small villages and three large cities. The only way to travese this open terrain with a horse. Fortunately they are about as easy to find as a car in todays society.

What also sets this game apart is the ability to do what you want when you want. There is no clock on you and your not stuck going into a mission. Everything is open based. The character is amazingly fun to control you can scale tall buildings and make amazing leaps of faith. Climbing up a building that is several stories and then leaping to certain doom is breathtaking excitement. This is what games should be about.

Beyond that is a mission based game. Similiar to Grand Theft Auto in style. You can accept simple missions like pickpocketing and protecting citizens to the more main based assasin missions. You can battle soldiers if you want as you have many enemies but it's not really advised. Following the assasin missions can be complex and involve several steps that make the story very intresting. Obviously a lot of time was put into making this top notch.

For anyone who likes open based games with large environments then Assassins Creed is for you. From the majestic peaks to the clustered cities. This is trully a next gen experience. The storyline and incentive program will keep you playing for many hours. Definately a worthwhile gameplay experience. If you want something to keep you busy that doesn't involve guns go out and get Assasins Creed. Assassin's Creed

First of all let me say, Ubi has laid down the foundation for great things in the future. If this is the direction games are heading, they are going to be amazing in the near future.

Having said that though, I must say that although this game is amazing for the first few hours of play, its repetative nature begins to wear on you after a little bit.

The controls, gameplay and general feel of the game are very good. But completing basically the same missions over and over begins to tarnish this game. It's the same folks that have to be rescued, the same style of fighting, and the same basic solutions to all the missions.

I would recommend renting this game rather than buying, because once you finish the game, I can see where there is no value for playing it again.

The graphics are some of the best I have seen to date, and there are some really neat features that could be used for later games.

As I said before, Ubisoft has really started something wonderful with this game, I just hope they continue to build on this base and really open up the world of gaming. They just seemed to miss the curve, (slightly) with this release.

Echoing the sentiment of other reviewers, I was also concerned about the professional reviews concerning this game, having anticipated it for so long. My fears were eased, however, right after I popped the disk in.

Pro's:

Again, as it's been said here, I really enjoyed the flow of the character and the freedom this game gives you. It's a perfect blend of an open world without leaving you lost to figuring out where to go next.

The learning curve is high, but the game slowly introduces you to new moves within each mission, which are enough to complete them, but leaves room for improvement as you become more proficient.

The story line is good and I didn't mind so much the sci-fi twist about which most are complaining. It's a good break from the intensity of the game and it adds a personal connection to the ancient character through his descendant in the present.

The game saves are excellent. For the most part you won't find yourself having to redo several missions in the event that you die. There are plenty of checkpoints throughout the game to keep the game flowing and non-repetitive.

Lastly, the world Ubi has created in this game is simply phenomenal! Hats off to the design team. The amount of detail is just outstanding on each street, building, market, character, and everything else you'll find in this game.

Cons:

The idea of accomplishing side missions add a greater dimension to the game, but, unfortunately, they get repetitive pretty quickly.

Some of the things you can do are eavesdrop, pickpocket, or save a person from being harassed by the local guards (there are others), but once you get the hang of each one, they're pretty much the same thereafter.

The fight sequences are fun and can be tense enough, but similarly lack a bit of diversity. I hope they get a little more challenging and technical as I acquire new weapons and progress in the game.

Now, to explain the title of my review (this is not a con, just an observation), I was a bit surprised with the main character Altair.

I got a feel from the previews, for some reason, that I would be dealing with a cool and calculated assassin who kills to rid the world in which he lives of evil people (a little theatrical, I know). However, my first impression was of a reckless, spoiled, somewhat-messed-up-in-the-head newbie killer who let his skills go to his head and now is forced to redeem himself.

Overall, I really enjoy playing this game and hope Ubi continues to produce other titles using this engine and creating such wonderful virtual worlds. - Ubisoft - Assassins Creed - Video Games - Kickass Games'

One Person Inflatable Kayak

so I am writing this review after the maiden voyage with my kayak. the kayak itself is great - it's a nice length, it was comfortable, it inflated pretty easily, and I really love that every part of the 'backpack' becomes part of the kayak when assembled. the accessories, however, are another story. I like that this kayak came with the inflatable hand pump - one less thing for me to purchase. however, the pump comes with several attaments to fit in differently sized valve holes. on this kayak, there are 3 valves - two with large openings, and one with a regular sized opening. one attachment on the pump fits the valve with the regular sized opening perfectly well, no problem. the attachment that is sized to fit in the large valves however, is just a tad bit too small so it goes into the opening, but does not stay in place while you are pumping (so you would literally need to have someone hold it in place). to me, the whole point of an inflatable kayak is that it is an item you can use alone, without needing any help to set it on your car, carrying it, etc. for a quick fix, I took a couple strips of duct tape, and wrapped it around the valve attachment and it did the trick - it fits snuggly in the valve now.

I figured that would be the biggest problem with this purchase, and that would have been fine with me. that was, however, until I was halfway across the bay I was kayaking in, and the paddle that this set came with BROKE IN HALF. one half of the paddle literally sank, and so I was stuck kayaking back to the launch point with only one half of a kayak paddle. not exactly ideal. luckily, I have a good sense of humor, so I laughed about the whole thing, but if you buy this set, take my advice and buy your own paddle and throw the junk that comes with this away. it is not like any other kayak paddle I've seen; instead of coming in two pieces that snap together with a locking button, it came in three segments with 6 couplings to attach the pieces together. that was a problem for a couple reasons - first is that you can't break the paddle down into two symmetrical pieces, so it is harder to tote along in the car. also, the couplings are made of really cheap plastic, so they definitely did not hold up to heavy paddling. the coupling on one end broke mid-stroke, and that end of the paddle fell off and floated away (before sinking). definitely not worth the money they spent to produce it. I don't know why Sevylor didn't just include a normal paddle or none at all, because the one they included was such a waste. I had heard bad things about their paddles, but I wanted to try it out (since again, I figured why spend more money if I didn't have to). if you're intent on trying the paddle out, make sure you use it on a short trip where you have someone standing by for rescue haha.

conclusion is that the kayak is pretty awesome, the pump is mediocre, and the paddle is a piece of junk. all-in-all, still recommended, even though I paid $50 more than it's listed for now! Sevylor QuikPak K5 Inflatable Kayak

A friend of mine surprised my wife and myself by gifting us a K5. We really enjoyed it and have since ordered another one. Most importantly, the yak is fun on the water. I weigh in at 247 lbs and had NO problem getting in and out of the yak. It is a real engineering marvel. I was about to buy a hard side kayak when my friend surprised me with this inflatable version. The reason I still hadn't purchased the hardside yaks was I was worried about where I would store the boats, as well as the $300 I'd have to spend on a rooftop system for my car to get the boats to the water. Now I'm glad I was in a holding pattern as I tried to figure out a system (transportation and storage) which would make sense for my home and car. Although I was skeptical when I first saw the inflatable (I'm a conservative type, ie always use gas engines never electric, prefer steel over plastic, etc) I was won over by the sheer logic of the system. Easy to get ready (it really is only about five minutes from pulling it out of the trunk to ready to launch). It is also comfortable and secure in the water. I'm sure it is not as fast as a hard shell, but I'm interested in having fun, getting exercise, and don't plan on entering any races anyway, so it is perfect for me. If it holds up for five years I'll feel like I got my moneys worth. By the way, several hard side kayakers asked me where I purchased my Kayak and I can tell from the look in their eyes that they see all the problems they have such as weight, storage, and transportation are all solved by going to a quality inflatable design. I highly recommend the K5, although I use an electric pump I can run from my car to inflate it so I can't comment on the pump design. Mine is actually pumped up in about two minutes... yahooo!

First-off, I would like to mention that this review may be lengthy, as I just want to cover all the bases and since there are so few reviews for this product, hopefully aid in your decision to purchase it. I recently purchased this kayak for about $226 out the door, and am extremely happy I did. It fits my needs perfectly (I am a college student with an apartment, so storage is limited) and I love that I am able to take it out on the river without the need for a roof-rack or friend to help me carry it and load it. Since I have received the kayak, I have taken it out on the river once for about 3 hours, and it tracked a lot better than I had anticipated. Gentle and controlled paddling will ensure that the vessel will maintain a straight course, and I had no trouble paddling against the current or in the wake of passing boats. This is an inflatable boat, so keep that in mind. But even taking into consideration that it is inflatable, I only experienced a small amount of more sway than I have with hardshells, and it wasn't problematic in the least bit. I even let my friends and family try it out, and they were able to control the kayak with relative ease (considering none of them had kayaked before).

Stability is another area where this kayak shines. This vessel is rather stable, and I rocked pretty hard back and forth while I had it out on the river by my apartment, and found it difficult to even get the edge close to the water level. Additionally, I attempted a reentry into the kayak in open water (be sure to wear a PFD if attempting this), and succeeded with relative ease. The boat rocked minimally as I used my arms to lift myself up, and I was back in and paddling in 15 seconds.

Assembly and breakdown is pretty quick and painless. I had timed myself setting up the kayak and packing packing it away, and I had it from pack to sitting in the seat in 12 minutes, and back into the backpack in 8. I was consciously taking my time to get an accurate time, and was pleasantly surprised to see it took such little time to set up and put away. One gripe I did have, however, was with the directions. They were unclear about how to fold the kayak so it fits properly in the backpack. I have found that folding one side into the middle lengthwise, and then the other side over the first so it covers it works the best. Then just fold up the rear so the skeg is exposed in two folds, and then fold front twice to cover the rear skeg. It should fit perfectly then.

As other users have mentioned before me, the accessories leave much to be desired. The paddle itself seems cheap, and while I understand the three piece design increases portability, I will be purchasing a better paddle this week. The pump's nozzle does not fit very securely while inflating, and while some have used duct tape to solve this problem, I have been able to secure it by sliding one of the notches of the piece of plastic that secures the cap into the nozzle of the pump.

The material on the bottom of the kayak is very heavy-duty, and I had no worries with dragging it to shore over pebbles and rocks. There is more storage than I had anticipated, with a rear well that will hold the pump and some other items. There are plenty of bungees for deck storage as well, and D-Rings for the placement of deck bags if you wish (on my purchase list). Be sure to note that while the rear well will keep most of the water out, it is not completely waterproof. I tested it by dumping a large amount of water on the cover, and a portion of it seeped in. So if you plan on taking this down some whitewater, be sure to keep your cell phone in a drybag or container, along with anything else you wish to keep dry. Please note that there is little-to-no room inside the kayak for storage. Behind the seat is occupied by inflatable space, and the legroom is comfortable but snug (I am about 5'10", 150lbs). If you plan on taking this on an overnight or multiday trip, you will need a set of deckbags for gear storage.

Overall, this kayak is a must-buy and a keeper for me. The small amount of storage space required, phenomenal portability, and excellent handling and stability have made me extremely happy with my purchase. As I mentioned, the accessories leave much to be desired, but a decent paddle can be purchased on Amazon for ~40 dollars. All in all, this boat is versatile and portable, two great qualities to have in a kayak, and at the price, it can't be beat.'

The pictures for this necklace do not do it any justice...it's even better in person! The necklace has a decent weight to it and the stones give it added character. I received so many compliments when I wore it. Sadly...I LOVE it more than I love my Tiffany Toggle necklace. You will not be dissapointed with this necklace...trust me! Silver Tone Puffed Heart Pendant Toggle Necklace

This necklace is prettier in person ! exactly what I was looking for, you can wear the heart two ways if you like! worth every penny, buy it I guarantee you will love it!!! thanks for a nice affordable necklace :)

I purchased this necklace because I love heart pendants and necklaces and I had previously bought one that tarnished within a month. I am very pleased with my purchase. It looks so expensive and I get compliments on it all the time.

the heart is sooooooo beautiful i love it!!!!! i cant find anything wrong with it!!! it was everything i was looking for and more. when i opened the box i expected it to be not as nice as the pic but it was even better. i rock it every day! also i live in hawaii so i was expecting it to never arrive ontime because nothing ever does out here. and it did arive on time!!!! they also gave me 15% off flier in my box!!! i will deff buy again from them!!! I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT i would of paid 90$ for this

I love this toggle necklace. It is just beautiful and I am so glad I ordered it. You can also wear it 2 ways. I wear it everyday because I love it so much. It has a nice weight to it. I cannot find anything wrong with it. Shipping was fast. I cannot say enough about this necklace. Anyone looking for a nice necklace and do not want to spend a lot of money and still have something nice to wear then this is it!!! You will not be sorry you ordered this... It is just amazing and I just love it. I normally do not wear a necklace but I just love this! I am a daycare provider and I love it so much I just cannot avoid from wearing it!!

This necklace was OK for $5 not $31. The reason is that i know when something is cheap just by the look and this came in a box with a tag made in korea. I have seen this type in some stores and the price was $7. I would not recommend this item.

I just received my necklace and I love it! It's exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be happier. It's really a beautiful necklace for the price so anyone looking for a beautiful toggle necklace do not hesitate to buy this one!!

I read all the reviews and was hoping to like it as much as I did online. I ordered the chain on Wednesday and had it by Saturday morning. It is beautiful. I love it, especially the other side of the heart. I will definitely buy from this seller again. - Jamie'

Laptop Bags - laptop bags, ipad case

I just got this case in the mail today and I must say I like it a lot. It seems to be durable and made of good quality material. I already have my Xoom in the official Motorola case and then I pack it in this case for double the protection and the fit is very good overall. The Xoom is still a bit loose but still well within acceptable limits. Like I said my Xoom already has the factory case within this case which adds thickness, so I have to say that if you want this just for your Xoom alone there will be a lot more wiggle in there. I agree with the previous review that this case is not by any means made specifically for the Xoom. I can say that for my configuration the case is perfect. I would recommend to anyone. CaseCrown Faux Suede Zip Sleeve Case (Black) for Motorola XOOM WiFi / 3G Model

Looking for a sleeve to keep my Xoom safe in my backpack this was my best bet. This is almost the same case as the one you would get for a Kindle DX, just a little smaller. It fits the Xoom well but it does have a little bit of space in there. Not a very snug fit (which is why it got 4/5 stars) but nothing that would be so bad it could ruin the device. Has an extra pocket that zippers up which I keep my microfiber cloth in which comes in handy for my Xoom and my Fascinate.

I would highly recommend this case to anyone who wants a sleeve protector instead of a hard snap on case or a silcon case. I personally love it, but I know for some it not being snug will be an issue.

This isn't a Xoom case. This is an iPad case. The actual packaging said iPad. Not Xoom. Yes, my Xoom fits inside it. It also fits inside a duffel bag. Is a duffel bag a Xoom case? No. Is this a Xoom case? No.

In any case, it's only off by maybe 3/4's of an inch width wise and protects it well enough. I'll get a Xoom case later, but for now this iPad case gets the job done.

There is nothing "wrong" with this case other than the fact that I doubt it was made for this device. It's slightly larger than the Xoom, so if you are storing it somewhere that it "just fits" it won't with this case.

The exterior could do with a little less branding. The interior is some type of poly material, that appears to not scratch anything.

The case also provides an additional zipper pocket for small things like headphones.

Considering the price, this is a good value. If you are looking for something very "clean" with a nice fit, look elsewhere.

I bought this case for my Motorola Xoom and it works perfect for it. My Xoom fits in the case just right not too tight but not too loose. The case is padded on both sides so it protects the tablet quite nicely. It has an additional pocket on one side that the charger will fit into if need be. I would definitely recommend this case for Xoom owners or any other tablet with similar dimensions.

I bought this case to use as a carrying case for my xoom and I gotta say I'm loving it. Very well constructed, great material and a lot of protection for my xoom.

Yes there's a lot of space in there but that just gives you more space to put charger, USB cabled, headphones and a wipping cloth in the pocket, at least that's what I do, even with all these and the xoom being in it's official Motorola case you don't feel like things are squished in there.

This works kinda like a laptop sleeve which is great.

I originally ordered the black one but a day after placing my order I got an e-mail from the seller apologizing that they were out of stock from the black and that if I accept another colour they'd deduct 3$ out of my order or I could just get a full refund, of course I went for the grey one for 3$ less. Might just order all colours to match whatever I'm wearing.

Great customar service, all in all this was a great buy and I'm very pleased with it.

I bought this case right after I bought my xoom. It allows me to store my xoom without fear of it being damaged. It is used more in my house as a place to put the xoom rather than a case to "take with" and use as it requires one to remove from the case to use, then where do you put the case?

The case is well made and functions as I intended. I will probably end up buy I buying a full time protective case that can fold and be used as a stand.

I am overall very happy with this product. My Xoom fits in nicely and feels secure. Some of the other reviews mention it is not a particularly snug fit. It is really close though, and I do not feel like the unit slides around in side or anything (must note I also have the rubber/gel skin protector on the Xoom itself. That and the case make a nice combination in my opinion. The case has a nice suede feel to it and enough padding to protect the unit inside. The bonus feature for me is the zipper pouch in the front which I use to store booklets and various cables I use. I don't often leave reviews but this product exceeded my expectations. - Laptop Bags - Motorola - Ipad Case'

Cubeshield

I'm not sure it is essential to have worked in an office to enjoy this film, but I'm certain it will hit home for those who have. The movie was a complete bust at the box office, which utterly mystifies me, because it is hysterically funny and reflects the experience of millions of people across the United States (and I assume elsewhere). In an age where companies are seeking to lay off workers at any possible opportunity, this film has perhaps even more relevance now than it did when it came out in 1999.The humor of the film works on multiple levels, but for me so much of it is funny with a twist of the knife, for much of the humor hints at a much more serious fact: modern work is genuinely dreadful and alienating. Perhaps many office workers love their job, but I hate mine, and I assume that I am merely one of millions. No one in this film has a meaningful job. Even Lumbergh, though the boss, has an absurd position. Peter Gibbons is at least able to be honest about the ridiculousness of his plight during the incredibly funny sequence in which he is hypnotized. The film is a collection of many, many wonderful moments. I started laughing from the second that Peter Gibbons gets trapped in the traffic jam and is passed by an old man on a walker, and didn't stop until the very end. The film is a parade of very funny bits, from Michael Bolton and his passion for gangsta rap to Joanna's boss urging her to wear more flair (played by director Mike Judge) to Peter's neighbor who would yell at him through the walls to Peter's bizarre fantasy in which Lumbergh is making love to Joanna holding a cup of coffee in one hand and her ankle in the other to virtually any conversation involving Lumbergh and Milton. Some of the humor is a bit too broad. For instance, although I defy anyone not to find Milton's sequences funny as heck, they don't fit in quite as neatly with the satire of the rest of the film. I wouldn't, however, want to trade them in for a tighter movie. In a way, this movie has made my life easier to live. I suspected my job was absurd before seeing this film. Now I know it is. But somehow knowing the truth makes it easier to get through the day. Office Space

This movie made an almost "psychic" connection with me... the first time I saw it, I had just come home from my nightmare job -- many of the same things depicted in the movie had happened to me that very day, including the printer jam with that exact message "Error - PC Load Letter", while trying to print a report that was already late (what the heck does that message mean, anyway?!). I related so well to this movie's honest, astute, and technically correct observations of office culture in the 90's, that the brilliantly original bits of commedy were almost incidental to me (I must have annoyed the heck out of my wife with outbursts like "Oh my GOD, that's so TRUE!" every two minutes). I caught some of the more subtle humor in subsequent viewings. I'll admit, the movie lost its hold on me about 2/3 in, when the main character (who had by this time become an icon to me with his new found "no fear of consequences" attitude) took a strange criminal direction, and his angst began to return. This seemed to break the consistancy. I wan't too thrilled with Jenifer Aniston's performance either, although I suppose that had more to do with her script. In any case, the second time I watched the move, none of this bothered me as much.I've since purchased the DVD, and have worn this disk out playing it for friends. I'll never get tired of this movie... even the sound track makes me laugh. It's a wonder that it didn't get better reviews, although I guess one really would have had to have experienced office politics in the 90's to fully relate (I wonder when was the last time in the 90's that Ebert heard, "Don't forget to fill in your timesheets!")Some reviewers gave it low ratings claiming that it was "lightweight"... okay, so it's no Citizen Kane, but it certainly doesn't claim to be either! Give it credit for what it is -- as a lighthearted observational commedy, it's brilliant. And that's not to say that it was a total no-brainer either... on an intelligence level, I'd rate it much higher than say... any movie ever made by the Fairley Brothers (and certainly much lower on the "obnoxious bathroom humor"-scale).It's a pretty sad testiment to the intelligence of the average North American that movies like "Me, Myself, and Irene" brought in more money than Office Space. I hope Mike Judge doesn't let this stop him from creating another gem.

If you've ever worked in a tiny cubicle, pushed papers, and fought a worthless fax machine in an attempt to earn a living, you will love this movie. OFFICE SPACE is a hilarious movie that deconstructs everything that makes an office worker's life so miserable: from morning traffic, to catch phrases (it looks like somone has the Moondays), to bosses that totally ignore their workers. This movie had a low budget, but Mike Judge is a brilliant filmmaker. He takes a relatively unknown cast and is able to milk hilarious, yet totally lifelike performances from each actor and unites everything together in a coherent conceptually comedy masterpiece (e.g. the fax-beating scene with the ganster music playing is just pure brilliance). Of course, the film says a lot about the actors as well, they don't seem to be just characters or caricatures: they seem like real people. There is no sex, relative little violence (well, there is a lot of violence toward inanimate objects), and relatively little cursing words (most of the foul language comes from the film's soundtrack). A movie that's destined to become a modern comedy classic.

If you have ever worked in a cubicle farm for a technology company, or ROFL after reading Dilbert cartoons, and know what ROFL means, you will love this movie. Mike Judge (creator of Beavis and Butthead) digs into and makes fun of the things that people hate most about their jobs, with such accuracy that he must have consulted Scott Adams himself while developing the screenplay. With company names like "Penetrode", this movie takes numerous humorous stabs at the idiocy foisted upon the modern working class by the "management class", those highly-compensated stuffed-shirts with no more qualifications than an MBA hanging on their wall. These are the people who abuse you every time you make a mistake, and try to convince you that they are really your buddy in a thinly veiled attempt to keep you submissive and cooperative. Office Space tears into the very heart of the manipulative phony friendship ploy that so many managers think of as their "brilliant" management technique. So if you're tired of being shocked every time you touch a door knob, and sick of having half a dozen different "bosses" giving you conflicting work assignments, then I highly recommend that you buy this movie and blow off some steam, before it's too late! This film is a lot of fun to watch, but if you're looking for an intellectually challenging work of art, this is not the film for you. The story is quite simple; it is a single-layer story that conveys the same information on subsequent viewing as it conveyed during the first viewing. The visual and audio elements are interesting and entertaining, but not artistic. This is a fun comedy that a lot of people can identify with, not deep social commentary. However, the social commentary that IS in the film couldn't be more timely. The DVD itself is mediocre. No extras to speak of, other than cast bios and one trailer. Transitions from one menu to another are slightly animated, and the way the DVD starts up is cute, but overall the power of the DVD medium is not utilized.Movie ------- Originality: B+ Creativity: B+ Complexity/Depth: C+ Relevance/Message: A+ Artistic Merit: C Overall Entertainment Value: ADVD ------ Transfer Quality: A Extras: C- Use of Medium: C+'

Gas Fired Nailer - cordless nailer, finish nailer

I own 2 of the Paslode finish nailers, a straight and an angled nailer. Both have worked extremely well and are extremely reliable and consistant. It is lightweight enough to use overhead without difficulty, as I did nailing crown-molding, and powerful enough to drive into solid oak when woodworking.

I did have some difficulty with the Paslode brand finish nails in that they are fairly soft and can deflect off dense surfaces like OSB. I ran into this problem when installing an oak hardwood floor, as when you run out of room for the floor stapler up against a wall you have to use finish nails. The nails would sometimes go through the oak tongue, bounce off the floor and back up through the face of the oak. Decreasing the angle of penetration was enough to cure this. Paslode 902000 16 Gauge Straight Finish Nailer

This is an excellent product which has already made my life easier (putting up siding); it makes project assembly far faster, more accurate and most importantly more fun. The technology is significant and futuristic in that such a small fuel container can fire so many nails with such force. One should be aware that the device is loud and emits exhaust from the spent fuel with every shot - which is to be expected and has to be taken into consideration with indoor use (need good ventilation). But its performance outweighs all this in my view, along with amazing portability even compared with the CO2 driven devices.

I don't own one of these but I've had several occasions to rent one and use it for finishing up the trim in my house after putting down new flooring. I have no complaints and only glowing recommendations for this tool.

I hate power tools I have to plug in and this tool was so convenient because it had no cord and isn't pneumatic. Many people complain that you have to purchase additional gas cannisters for the Paslode nailers but I think that's a minor inconvenience because it drives the nails to the right depth all the time and I never encountered one jam all the times I've used it.

I plan on purchasing one used when the price comes down a bit. I may get lucky or hopefully they'll come out with a newer model and the old ones will be discounted. If they do, I'll snatch one up because I can find many uses for it.

Nothing but impressed with this nailer. Have not had any problems with this unit at all, having shot many 2 inch nails. The air compressor gets to rest finally, thank goodness. No more lugging it up stairs or in the truck either. The exhaust smell reminds me of firecrackers of bygone years but is not a problem. It should be noted that I also bought the 18 guage after shooting the 16 guage for a few months. It's more convenient and quicker not having to lug the compressor and hose around. No problems sinking nails, just push the tip all the way down on the surface to be nailed.

I love the Paslode cordless products. I've been using a cordless framer for over a year with no problems. I used the finish nailer years ago working as a finish carpenter, and loved it then. Now that I'm on my own working as a Cabinetmaker, I love not having a compressor and hose to deal with...just grab and go--in the shop or in the field. Get yourself one of these!

THIS NAILER IS FANTASTIC! JUST CHARGE UP YOUR BATTERY (TAKES ABOUT 2 HOURS FOR FULL CHARGE) AND PLUG IN A FUEL CELL AND SOME 16 GA NAILS AND YOUR GOOD TO GO. BATTERY WILL LAST FOR 4000 NAILS AND FUEL CELL LASTS FOR ABOUT 1200 NAILS. COMES WITH NICE CASE AND BATTERY CHARGER, BUT YOU HAVE TO BUY YOUR FUELS CELLS AND NAILS SEPARATELY. WHOEVER DESIGNED THIS TOOL IS A GENIUS. THE DEWALT NAILER WITH 18 VOLT BATTERY WEIGHS JUST OVER 8 LB., BUT THIS PASLODE WITH A 6 VOLT BATTERY AND FUEL CELL WEIGHS JUST OVER 4 LBS. GET ONE AND YOU'LL BE LOOKING FOR THINGS TO NAIL!!

.

My husband uses this item and said the following about it:

"This is truly the very best cordless nail gun on the market today. It's perfect for either the professional carpenter or for the weekend DIY woodworking enthusiast. It weighs under 5 pounds when fully loaded with the battery, fuel cell, and the nails. It is easy to operate and it is rare that it jams, and if it does, it clears easily. I highly recommend this item and now that I've found the Paslode line, I know I'll be picking up a few more to add to my arsenal."

This nailer is easy to maintain and operate.

It saves so much time working on projects that would be near impossible to do with a hammer. I've used this to install complex wall and ceiling trim, wainscoting and just general use. Excellent product. - Tools - Finish Nailer - Gas Fired Nailer - Cordless Nailer'
