School Paper - filler paper, paper

We buy a lot of paper each year. Mead provides a good basic (cheap) paper that will no doubt meet the needs of most students. However, I find the paper to be thinner than expected which may be an issue for those who exert significant pressure when they write or those who rely on their trusty eraser to get them through the day. It's OK - nothing great - a good utilitarian option but for wide-ruled paper (for younger students) I think it really shouldn't be quite so thin.

Pricing Note (not part of the review):

The price as I write this review is $1.33 for 200 sheets of wide-ruled filler paper. That is the delivered price if you are an Amazon Prime member or combine with other products to get Super Saver Shipping. If the price is higher as you read this review you may want to consider coming back at the start of the next school season and stocking when they are on sale. Mead Wide-Ruled Filler Paper, 200 Sheets (15200)

I bought this and when it came in the plastic cover was open from the bottom. It seems like they just repackaged non-branded line paper and put it into a plastic bag with a Mead title cover. I would not recommend purchasing this product.

I am a home school mom of 2 boys. I don't have a car so I try to shop online. I thought this was a good deal-wrong! After about 20 pages the problems started. The lines on the paper were all messed up or not there at all, some pages were in halves and stuck together and to top it all off when I made my monthly trip to Walmart I found much more paper(almost double) for MUCH less. How sad.

Obviously I chose to buy this product at this price- orginally 6.47 Prime price 4.47. It was out of convenience/necessity but never again. The school supplies on Amazon, unlike many of Amazon's other amazing deals are a rip-off.

I'm not very picky with paper, as long as it's nice quality but Mead is no exception. Although Mead sells quality products, their looseleaf papers have always been a problem for me. The problem is that they have such a bad, cheap smell and the quality of the paper is very close to what I will find at a 99 cents store, minus the sandy texture. I've been buying Staples paper for as long as I can remember and I find that their quality is so much nicer (and cheaper!). I don't think I'll even spend more than $1 on Mead looseleaf, let alone $4.

most items i buy from amazon I feel like I don't need to check prices elsewhere and I wasn't paying much attention to the price when I ordered these and I can't believe I spent over $4 on a stack of paper!!!! Don't waste your time and money on this one.

I wasn't expecting much since I've read the reviews before purchasing that said the papers were thin. For my 5 year old just learning to write, it's good enough. However, for any other uses, I won't recommend.

This is a standard product at a good price. It is great to be able to get refills to your doorstep. The wide ruled paper helps my son write more easily and neatly due to the greater gap between his lines. - Filler Paper - School Supplies - Notebook - Paper'

Ipod Touch Cover - ipod touch cover, accessories

So, yeah, like a lot of people have said, this case doesn't really fit. It's definitely a bit too large and doesn't stay in place if it's in your pocket. Another result of the loose fit is that it makes it more difficult to press the power and volume buttons effectively. Also, although the connectors, speaker, and camera are all accessible, the thin strip of rubber along the bottom is incredibly flimsy and doesn't stay in place very well. So, this case works perfectly fine if your iPod will be laying flat on a table all day, but that's about it.

So, yeah, seeing as I only paid a dollar for this (plus S&H), I can't really say that I'm surprised. But to describe this case as "premium" is to display either an extreme lack of comprehension of the English language, or a willingness to lie about your product to make a quick buck. Soft Gel Silicone Skin Case Cover for Apple iPod Touch 4G, 4th Generation (Black)

I just received the ordered cover...perfect shape and solid quality although the color is more or less TRANSPARENT instead of BLACK. IMHO looks even better in transparent so I am perfectly happy. Just 4 stars for the fact the the info on the color is incorrect.

Great cover - protects all the corners and the back from scratches, keeps iPod from slipping, easy to put on and it stays on well. No cover for front - need to buy screen protector separately, but quite inexpensive - less than half most other similar covers. I was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend.

Pros:

- Price. Under $3 for an iPod Touch case? You'd have to dish out three times as much as a retailer for something of comparable quality.

- Grips well to flat surfaces. Good for browsing the web or app store with the device on a table.

Cons:

- Quality. The rubber isn't exactly outstanding; there's a molding line that goes round the edges of the case, which makes it less pleasant to hold. Also, the sides of the case bulge out slightly, which takes away from the look of the unit.

- Lint pickup. If you're planning on putting your iPod in your pocket at all, be prepared for lint and fuzz sticking to the case. The feeling of the case declines with the more lint that sticks to it

- Though it fits fairly well, the case can become dislodged if pushed on properly. Usually when this happens, it's the last thing you want to deal with.

Overall, I'd recommend either a higher end rubber case or, better yet, a hard case for your iPod Touch 4th Gen. I ordered this one so I'd have a case on hand when I bought my iPod. It has given me time to seek out something better. And believe me, almost anything would be better. Don't buy this unless you're in my situation or you want a cheap backup case.

I recently got a ipod touch and was very excited. I bought one of those transparent screen cover to protect the front of the ipod and figured that I also need something to protect the back. Therefore, I bought this piece of junk.

Problems with the cover:

1. Way too loose, it doesn't stay on the ipod when you put it in your pocket.

2. It interferes with typing. When I tried to type anything, the cursor will jump all over the place. I have take off the cover whenever I need to type anything.

3. The cover collects dust too easily.

Basically, the cover needs to be taken off the ipod when you need to use it. It comes off easily when you aren't using it. What I do all the time is to put it back on. Terrible.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Very cheap thin silicone case that doesn't stay on.

What do you expect for a couple of bucks.

Don't buy unless that is what you're looking for. I'm now looking for a better one.

Certainly at this price point, you have to expect that you're going to get what you paid for. I knew this coming in. So, my expectations were low....and I wasn't disappointed. This case is really pretty crappy. You will NOT want to keep this as your permanent solution on your new, expensive iPod. To call this a 'Premium' case is very misleading. It should be called 'As Basic and Cheap as possible' Soft Black Gel Silicone Skin Case. The seams and cuts are all jaggedy. The case is flimsy and loose.

If you're going for something temporary until something better comes along..may I suggest some of the cheap TPU type cases. They are tougher, fit snugger, and are not dust magnets like this material.

We bought 2 of these case covers for our new Ipod just in case there was wear and tear after a while on one of them. My husband put one of the skins on and later that day took his Ipod out of his pocket and there was already a small tear on the case. We expected this to happen eventually... but not right away. The is a very cheap product so I guess you get what you're paying for. - Case - Ipod Case - Ipod Touch Cover - Accessories'

Stud Earrings - diamond earrings, stud earrings

The diamonds themselves look nice............no visible flaws.........I was surprised and impressed by this.

However, the clips for the back of the earring are fairly flimsy and, as they are designed to stay on to avoid you losing your earrings, it makes it virtually impossible to remove the backs without twisting and bending the gold.

We had to buy replacement backs locally, but I guess they are still good value. 14K White Gold Diamond Stud Earrings (1/2 ctw.) As seen on Dr. Phil

Be careful when ordering diamond earrings from a website, because it is likely they will not look like the picture. They were accurate in size, but the clarity was not as expected. I will not venture to say that all of the products sold by this vendor are this way. It might just be this particular item. I'm not sure when the earrings were featured on Dr. Phil, but I would like to think that the audience would have noticed the gray color of the diamonds. - Good Quality - Diamond Studs - Diamond Earrings - Stud Earrings'

Based On The True Story - great golf, based on the true story

If you love golf, you'll love this movie. Even if you don't love golf, you'll enjoy it. The cinematography is phenomenal. The makers of this movie used a specially designed camera in many scenes to follow the ball from shot to stop. One of my favorite shots was Ted Ray's blast through the woods, between the trees, and onto the green with the camera following the ball all the way! As others have said, it's the best golf movie yet, largely because the camera work and film editing added much to the magic of this true come-from-behind story. I also think the close working relationship between director Bill Paxton and the author of the book, The Greatest Game Ever Played, Mark Frost, added to the movie's charm and authenticity.

Francis Ouimet and Harry Vardon had something in common. They were `common', according to the societal standards of their respective times. One is American, the other English, born a generation apart. Vardon grew up to become a world-renowned golfer, but could never join "the club" in his own homeland because he came from the underclass. However, he did become a hero to growing boys in Europe and America, including young Francis Ouimet, who grew up across the street from the Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts. Francis began caddying at a tender age, and there were those who saw something special in him. These gentlemen, and Ouimet's mother (at least in the movie), encouraged him to take his love of golf from the caddie stage to the player's arena. With the odds against him from several directions, he played his way into the hearts and minds of his American countrymen and the world, and into the record books, by playing as an amateur in the 1913 U.S. Open and winning.

Shia LaBoeuf (Holes) is perfect as Ouimet, and Stephen Dillane portrays the stoic, haunted Vardon. The movie overall was well-cast, and Josh Flitter, who plays Eddie Lowery, almost stole the show!! It's a good bet you'll be mesmerized by this wonderful film. Just remember, in the immortal words of 10-year-old Eddie, when holding onto that golf club "Easy squeezy, lemon freezy!"

Carolyn Rowe Hill The Greatest Game Ever Played

We watched this movie in the theaters with the whole family, including two kids under 10. I'm not a golfer, but my husband loves the sport. The movie has great story line, funny moments, a bit of romance and some thrilling episodes. It would make for a nice evening of quality family time.

Please note that the DVD is in widescreen format. That's the only reason I'm not buying it at this time, I'm hoping for a full screen version.

To fully appreciate THE GREATEST GAME EVER PLAYED, it's good to compare it with BOBBY JONES, STROKE OF GENIUS. Both films cost between $20M and $25M. Both were about the game of golf at the turn of the 20th century. Both focused on young, underprivileged underdogs who went on to become the best amateurs in the game, beating out their professional competition. And both show the influence of the great Harry Vardon.

BOBBY JONE, STROKE OF GENIUS, of course, is about Bobby Jones, only amateur ever to win all three tournaments of the Grand Slam in the same year. And he did it while also working on three college degrees simultaneously - thus the "Genius." Jim Caviezel (Passion of the Christ) did a decent job playing Bobby, although he didn't look anything like the man. And Aiden Quinn was good as Harry Vardon - even down to his golfing ability - although he was all but cut from the film because he wouldn't shave a goatee he had grown for another film.

While BOBBY JONES is about an entire golf career, THE GREATEST GAME EVER PLAYED is about one tournament: the 1913 US Open, held at Brookline Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts. That was the year that a caddie - Francis Ouimet, who lived across the street from the country club - beat the two top British professionals, including Harry Vardon, and won the tournament - the biggest upset in golf history. Shia LeBeouf (Holes) does a great job playing Ouimet, and Stephen Dillane (The Hours) is superb as Vardon.

The biggest difference between these two films is in the direction. With BOBBY JONES, Rowdy Herrington (Road House) opted to do a very straight drama in the tradition of Chariots of Fire. It turned out to be far more than he could handle. The script is weak. There is far too much time spent on the young Bobby Jones, which contributes very little to the main plot. And visually, it is, well, boring. There are only a handful of creatively interesting shots.

But in THE GREATEST GAME, director Bill Paxton (Apollo 13, acting) pulls out all the stops. Not only is the script taut, but every part of it is essential. And the visuals are incredible, including effects that have never been seen in a sports film before, let alone one about golf. The art direction - including sets, costumes and graphics - is also superb, creating a totally believable and visually sumptuous world. You don't have to love golf to love this movie. That can't be said about BOBBY JONES. While both films have heart, THE GREATEST GAME also has fun.

When I first saw THE GREATEST GAME, there were a couple of things that bothered me. I didn't feel the love relationship between Francis and Sarah Wallis (Peyton List) was believable because their ages seemed so different. I just couldn't see her falling for a boy. I also had trouble accepting a ten-year-old caddy, Eddie Lowery, played like a true ham by Josh Flitter. It seemed like a typical Disney element (the kid who is smarter than the adults that surround him), and I just didn't buy into it. Then I discovered that that really was the way it was! Which doesn't make it any easier to believe, but at least it's true.

These are two very different films about similar events. While BOBBY JONES STROKE OF GENIUS is a good film (3 to 4 stars), THE GREATEST GAME EVER PLAYED is a great film (5 stars). Both directors had a vision; but Bill Paxton has proven that he can carry his out.

Rotary Hammers - rotary hammer, corded

There are several reasons why this drill is better than other hammer drills I have (Craftsman and DeWalt). The way Bosch designed this drill let a lone the power it has, makes it stand alone. I'm not going to dwell on the power ( even though I was able to completely chip away a shower mortar bed in less than 10 minutes), what made the difference is the design. First let me say that quick change SDS chuck and bits make this worth while. If you have done a lot of drilling you know how frustrating it is when you have to continually stop and re-tighten bits that have come loose from binding in the concrete. SDS eliminates this, along with the ease of the quick bit change also prevents the need to keep looking for a chuck key. Not once did I have the bit loose up.

Bosch also made it easy with how they implemented the auxiliary handle and depth guide. Other manufactures make you completely remove parts in order to change the handle position or change the depth guide. Another excellent feature is the Vario-Lock which will allow you to change the orientation of the chipping bit without having to hold the drill or yourself in awkward situations that might even be dangerous.

The clutching mechanism actually works very well. The times when I did bind the bit (which was rare with the drill power) I had little torque transfer before the clutch caught. Which is comforting from a safety aspect.

For the power, the drill is comfortable with a decent length cord. I haven't been using this drill long, so I can't speak to the reliability. Regardless the design and power has me sold and I've been using DeWalt for years.

Also one thing that is a pet peeve of mine (although minor) is the way manufacturers position the outlet of the power cord. Most make the power cord come out directly behind it, making it difficult to put in the case and in some cases having to severely bend the cable which can cause damage over time - this Bosch drill doesn't have this problem.

Keep in mind this drill only works with SDS bits, although Bosch sells a separate chuck that will allow for normal bits. Bosch 11255VSR BULLDOG Xtreme 1-Inch SDS-plus D-Handle Rotary Hammer

I am in the construction business and i can tell anyone who is looking at this product that it is truly an indispensible tool. It drills through brick and concrete with ease. It is relatively light for its power and size and is very easy and comfortable to use. At this price point you cannot do any better. Highly recommended.

i am in the remodeling business an i do alot of baths an nine out of ten jobs i have to move the drain lines from one end of the room to the other, an before, i always had to cut a line with a masonary blade in my skill saw then go rent a jack hammer to finish the job, as most already know this is a very messy job, but since i bought this tool it's all i need. i just drill an outline with a 1/2 inch drill bit then switch to a chipping bit an in a few minutes the job is done with very little mess an no heavy jack hammer to lugg around.i very highly recomend this tool, infact the first chance i get i will buy another just for back-up in-case i need the same tool on two defferent jobs..

I bought the Bosch 11255VSR in order to demo 6" thick concrete on top of my chimney. I drilled about 50 holes all the way through with a 3/8 inch SDS bit in about 10 minutes. My small Makita hammer drill could barely dent this concrete. I have 3 of the SDS chisel bits for this drill and I used them in hammer mode to knock that concrete out completely. Not sure how I could accomplish this job otherwise. Anything bigger would not be safe up there and anything smaller couldn't make a dent. Defintiley a keeper. I notice that some people have commented on similar Bosch models that the depth gauge is plastic. This one comes with an aluminum depth gauge which seems plenty strong, although I don't need it for my current project.

I had to drill sixty 3/4" diameter 2" deep holes in my concrete pool deck for anchors for a pool cover. I used this drill and a bosch SDS masonry bit. It drilled each hole in about 15 seconds. I could not believe how fast it was able to do it. This is a great product. Worth every penny. I haven't used it for chipping yet, but I don't doubt it will work fine for that, too.

the Bosch is the best I've used of this type of tool. As far as the review concerning Bosch's describing this as "1 inch". It means that this will drill up to a 1 inch diameter hole in concrete ( and the model down from this will drill a 7/8" dia.). Bosch includes this information in their specifications.

The Bosch 11255VSR is an excellent rotary hammer drill. It has a switch that allows it to operate in rotary only, rotary & hammer or hammer only modes. Some models and smaller versions only offer rotary hammer only. This dial makes this hammer drill valuable in household projects because you can easily drill into concrete or masonry but also use in hammer mode only with a chisel to tear out tile, chisel concrete or in hard rocky soil areas help dig a hole to plant a tree.

I needed to get a new hammer drill/ rotary hammer because I was i the middle of a fireplace re-facing project and my hammer drill that I had received years ago literally burned up. Before I had this I would be able to drill about 5-6 holes in hard red brick before having to change bits. After getting this tool moving I was able to do as many as I needed, nearly one handed. This thing is really a monster and I suspect I will have this for a good long while. I am a pretty serious do it yourselfer and hate spending money on cheap tools that don't last. This came with a nice case which has a nice listing of different bits and accessories for this drill. A word of caution, this tool uses the newer style SDS plus bits only out of the box, if you have a need for a standard chuck, it is available as an option but you will need to purchase it separately (http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-1618571014-SDS-plus-Shank-Integral/dp/B0009H5RFM/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1292208288&sr=8-10). If you have a need for a quality rotary hammer for a reasonable price, look no further. - Sds - Corded - Rotary Hammer - Bosch'
